Who wouldn't like a higher credit limit on their credit card? This is because almost everyone I know loves shopping, and a higher credit limit means you can do more shopping. This especially true for those higher priced items you can't normally afford on your own.

However a higher credit limit also calls for a higher sense of responsibility, because you can bring bigger debt on yourself. It doesn't mean just because you have a higher credit limit you should spend your credit on everything you see. If you are the type of person who can handle the responsibility of a higher credit limit there are some steps you can take to get one.

A good way to increase the credit limit of your credit card is to ensure that you always follow the terms and conditions of the institution which issued your credit card. This will ensure that you have a good credit rating and will come in handy when you want to raise your limit.

If you can show the issuer of your credit card that you are a responsible person when it comes to money they will find it hard to refuse you. They also know that if they treat you well you may bring other potential clients their way. And as we all know, birds of a feather flock together. So when you are responsible, your friends are likely to be responsible too. This in turn means that your credit card company would be eager to please you, if you do your part.

Here is one other thing to remember. It is a great thing to have a higher credit limit, but the higher limit may come with higher interest rate payments as well as other fees that may be added.

So although your credit card limit may have been raised, you may now have to pay more, which may mean that you may be left with a little less. But that's a choice you'll have to make for yourself. If you think a higher limit is what you need and you can be responsible with this higher spending power, then, by all means go for it. <bio>For more information on credit cards, including how to find the best deals please visit http://www.credit-card-centre.com now. </bio>

Keyword density is an important factor in search engine optimization (SEO). Keywords, as the name indicates, are the key factors in a web page, while searching. The webpage will be displayed in response to the search about the particular keyword. However, it won't be an easy job for the search engines to list the results, as millions of web pages, with the respective keyword, are indexed in the internet database. The viewers will require the most comprehensive search, and hence, search engines have formulated certain criteria to rate the quality of the web pages. And, keyword density is one of the significant parameters of the search engine algorithms in listing the webpage in the search engine result pages.

Keyword density is the relative frequency for the appearance of the keywords to the total amount of words in the text. The web page will be oriented on the keyword and obviously, the keyword has to be repeated several times. The number of repetition of the keywords will be increased along with the increase in the word limit. Since the word limit of the web pages differ, it will be difficult to suggest an optimum number of repetitions for keywords. And, keyword density has thus formulated as an adequate parameter to represent the number of repetitions of the keyword corresponding to the word count of the whole text.

As for everything, optimum limit exists for keyword density also. It is certain that search engines as well as viewers are bothered about the quality of the content in the web pages. As a rule, it is reviewed that a lower amount of keyword density will reduce the focus of the webpage on the keyword, and increased number of keywords are feared to affect the readability of the subject. The keyword density will also account the phrase keywords.

Keyword density of a webpage becomes crucial, when the webpage developer tries to optimize it according to the preferences of the search engine. Everybody is in the urge to place their webpage in the top ranking and hence they have to adopt the search engine principles, to maintain their position. The optimum keyword density is important in SEO since the search engines will not entertain both the lower levels as well as higher levels of keyword density. The lower keyword density pages will lose their importance in the listing. But, overstuffing of the keyword is a serious offense for search engines and considers it as an act to deceive of them with keyword stuffing. Chances exists that search engines may run spam on higher key word density web pages and ultimately ban it.

Hence, an optimum keyword density is always advised as a part of SEO techniques. Even though the exact values of the search engine algorithms are not clear, 5-7% is approximated as the optimum limit of keyword density. For strict maintenance of the keyword density in the particular ratio, keyword density analyzers are available in the internet. Adopt any such tool, maintain the optimum keyword density and ensure a better position in the search engine results. <bio>Mike Francis' page : http://www.pegasusdirectory.com is a free web directory, that helps webmasters increace their traffic and get known on the internet.
If you have a credit card but are fed up because you have a low limit, then now is the time to start getting your limit increased. It might seem tricky to get your limit increased, but if you follow a few simple steps then your credit limit will gradually increase to the level that you want.

Prove your creditworthiness

The most important step to getting a higher credit limit is to prove to the lender that you are worthy of a higher limit. This involves showing that you are financially stable and that you can make the payments back on what you borrow.

Borrow wisely

To show your lender that you are worthy to get a higher limit, you need to borrow wisely. If you use your card wisely and show that you can handle debt and pay back what you owe, then the lender will feel safe in lending you more.

Use you card regularly

If you want a higher credit card limit then you need to use your card on a regular basis. Keeping your card for emergency use will make it hard for the lender to understand your financial stability and payment history. If you use your card regularly then you establish a buying history and the lender is more likely to increase your limit.

Keep up with payments

Obviously, to prove yourself a good borrower you need to keep up with your payments. Make sure that you always pay on time, because paying late costs you money and will affect your chances of getting a higher limit. Also, make sure you always remain within your limit and that you pay more than the minimum each month. Using your card regularly and paying off the balance each month shows you are a good borrower and financially stable. This is the quickest way to improve your credit limit.

Advantages of an increased limit

Increasing your credit limit, even if you don't want to use the credit, can be a good idea. With an improved limit you have increased buying power, and have the knowledge that you can afford purchases in an emergency situation. Also, having a higher limit can improve your credit rating, especially if you don't spend the limit. It shows other lenders you are a trusted borrower but that you can control your spending.

Extra isn't always best

Remember, although getting a higher credit limit can improve your buying power, unless you can afford to pay the money back it can be dangerous. The best way to use your credit cards is to get a limit that suits your needs and that you can afford to pay back easily. However, if your limit is too low for you right now, then simply keep paying on time and show you can handle a bigger limit. If you do this then you will quickly improve your credit limit to the level you need. <bio>Peter Kenny is a writer for creditcards-gb For additional articles and an extensive resource for everything about credit cards, please visit us at http://www.creditcards-gb.co.uk and http://www.thriftyscot.co.uk/Credit-Cards/ </bio>

Using credit cards effectively often depends on the level of credit that you have, and how you spend that credit. There are times when you might need to increase your credit limit, and times when you might need to reduce it. If you are unsure about how to adjust your credit limit to suit your needs, then follow this simple advice in order to know when to adjust your credit limits.

What are your current limits?

Before knowing whether you should adjust your credit limit, you should work out what the limits on your cards are currently. Knowing exactly how much credit you have will help you to determine whether you need to raise or reduce your credit limit, or keep it the same.

Increasing credit limits

If you find that your current credit limits are not large enough for your needs, then perhaps it is time to increase your credit limit. If you have a good credit score and have always paid on time, then you are much more likely to be eligible for an increase. Contact your card issuers and find out if you can get an increase. If you are unable to get an increase but feel that you really need one and can afford it, then look into getting an additional credit card.

Reducing credit limits

If you have recently paid off credit card debts or you have changed your lifestyle, then you might feel that reducing your credit limit is a good idea. Reducing your credit limit can be a good idea if you don't want the temptation of spending all your credit, or if you want to simplify your banking.

Problems with reducing your limit

Although reducing your credit limit can be a good idea, if you do it in the wrong way you can affect your credit rating. Your credit rating is partly calculated by looking at your available credit and current balances. If you reduce your credit limit, then the percentage of your total credit that is used will increase, and so might reduce your credit rating. If you can avoid the temptation, then keep some of your credit. However, if you think that reducing your credit is the best idea, then advise your card issuer that you want your credit lowered.

Only spend what you can afford

If you are increasing your limit rather than reducing it, you need to remember to only increase the limit to what you can afford to pay. People with good credit history can often get hold of credit limits that they cannot possibly afford to pay back. Banks operate automated credit increases if you are a good customer, regardless of whether you can really afford it. If you are to increase your limit, make sure that you really can afford to make the repayments.

Have some spare

Generally, you should always make sure that you have some spare credit for emergency purposes. If you can avoid spending the extra credit, then having spare credit can be very useful and will also show that you are a responsible spender. If you can adjust your credit limits to suit your needs then you will make the most of your credit cards and not be controlled by debt. <bio>Peter Kenny is a writer for The Thrifty Scot Please visit us at http://www.thriftyscot.co.uk/Loans/ and http://www.thriftyscot.co.uk/Mortgages/ </bio>

It is very easy to give up and say: I just can't do math word problems. But the truth is, math word problems will always be part of your education. Before you go on and quit, you should know how math actually has significance in your daily life. When you read math word problems, do not immediately push it aside and declare "It has nothing to do with me!"

In fact, as you probably know, math word problems are integral in our mundane life, we just don't realize it. Think about going shopping or baking. You do not just do calculation off the top of your head, you are carrying out an actual math word problem without pen and paper! So, don't give up on math problems just yet. There is more in store for you.

So, how do you survive math word problems?

Converting into an equation is the key!

The key to solving any math word problem is to correctly convert the word statement into an mathematical equation. Unfortunately, this is a giant stumbling block for most students. Know that math has its own language. You probably know this already, your variable x stands for some unknown, and you get an equation based on what information is given in the problem.

Know what infomation is given, and which you have to solve for

Remember that the information given in the word problem has something to do with how you can get the solution. At this point, it is a useful habit to draw illustrations which can help you imagine the situation better. Focus next on the unknown and try to see how the information given can help you find the unknown.

The importance of logical reasoning

Based on what is given and asked for in an math word problem, you must be able to connect all the information together and web them into one whole. There are math word problems which are very common. If you have been solving many of them, you can see how these word problems repeat itself. If you get the right reasoning flow, there is no reason not to get it right the next time.

Recognize key words

Math word problems are made of keywords. These keywords are crucial. If you encounter words like "twice that of" for example, it simply means 2x, assuming x is your variable. There are many other keywords which signify operations. Once you familiarize yourself with most of them, you will find it easy to convert the word problem into an actual math equation to solve.

Mathematics is simply a more organized methodology for solving some of the ordinary word problems we encounter everyday. It has not been invented out of the blue to make things more miserable for students.

If you are going through the "I can't do math word problems syndrome," maybe now is the right time to change that. Add in a little critical thinking and some positive energy, you will surely get the next math word problem right.<bio>John runs a site called MathTrench.com, which offers thousands of solved math problems</bio>

Many people ask this question and for different reasons. Some of the reasons for wanting a higher credit limit are good and sensible reasons. Others are not. Let's look at some of the issues involved with changing your credit limit.

Your credit limit is the maximum total amount that you may use on your credit card. This total amount includes everything including purchases, balance transfers, cash advances, fees, and finance charges. This is a pre-set limit and if you go over this amount you may have to pay a penalty fee. When you increase your credit limit you are able to purchase more without incurring penalties. It is that simple.

Here are some tips to help you get a higher credit limit on your credit card.

First, you should ask your card issuer to send you any literature that they may have concerning their policy on requesting a higher limit. Some companies do not have this in writing, but many do. When you read the literature you can assess whether or not you can meet the added requirements.

Second, you should understand that much of the decision on whether or not you will get the higher limit will be based on how well you have paid your bills so far. If you have not been prompt on your past bills, the card company may assume that you will not be prompt with the higher level.

Another issue that you should examine is timing. If you only received the card a few months ago and have already maxed it out chances are the bank or card issuer will want to wait before allowing you greater limits on your credit line.

When you have a card that is already maxed out, it is a good idea to make sure that you make prompt payments for at least six months (or longer) before asking for more credit on the same card.

If you know in advance that you will want to increase the credit limit on a particular card, use that card regularly and make your payments on time. This shows the company that you are using the card and that you are credit worthy.

The size of your payments will make a difference as well. Whenever possible, pay the outstanding balance on your card a few times. This shows the bank or issuer that you are on top of your finances. Try to avoid only making the minimum payments as this may cause the company to wonder if you can make higher payments with a higher limit.

Try to never have to make late payments. The card issuer will certainly look at how often you make late payments and this will not help your case when asking for a higher credit limit.

Perhaps the best way to get a higher limit is to simply use your current card wisely and to make your payments on time. This means more to the issuer than you can imagine.

Keep in mind that if you are already struggling with credit card debt, having more access to credit may be very harmful to your financial future. Many people believe that if they can only borrow more, they can get out of debt trouble. For the most part, this does not work. If you truly need and can afford a higher credit limit, then ask for it. With a good history of past payments you will probably get it. <bio>Peter Kenny is a writer for The Thrifty Scot, please visit us at http://www.thriftyscot.co.uk/Banking-Savings/fair-or-unfair-who-decides.htm= l and http://www.creditcards-gb.co.uk/balance transfers.html </bio>

For example, if you have a deductible of $500 and the damage in an accident is $1,500, you would pay the first $500 and the insurance company would pay the remaining $1,000. Likewise, if your deductible was $1,000 and the damage was only $800, you would pay the whole thing.

Deductible Affects Your Rates

Car insurance requires that you pay a specific amount per month or year. This is your monthly rate and it usually won`t change within the year, unless you are in an accident. The amount you pay on a monthly basis will depend on how much deductible you wish to pay, or how much of the upfront costs you are willing to take care of in the event of an accident.

The most common amounts for deductibles in car insurance are $100, $250, $500, and $1,000, though different companies may offer other options. The higher the deductible, or the amount you pay in case of an accident, the lower your monthly rates will be. So, if you opt for the lowest deductible, $100, meaning the insurance company is liable for nearly all costs, you`ll end up paying higher monthly rates.

Which option you choose (high deductible/low rates or low deductible/high rates) will depend on what you can afford and also how often you expect to need your insurance. If you tend to have an accident of some sort every few months, you will likely want to pay the minimum amount and let the insurance company take on the majority of costs. For safer drivers who have an excellent driving record, it`s easiest to go with the higher deductible and pay lower rates instead.

Limitations

Every insurance company has a limit to the amount they will pay. The rates you have each month will also affect this, so you can decide how high you want to go for the best limit, without needing to pay too much per month. The majority of drivers never need the highest limits.

How does the limit affect your deductible? Well, you are responsible for paying the amount of your deductible, of course, but once the insurance company has paid up to the limit, you will have to pay any costs over that.

To give you a quick example, let`s say your deductible is $500, the limit is $10,000 and damages end up costing $12,000. You would pay the first $500. The insurance company would then pay their $10,000 and you would be responsible for the remaining $1,500.

Your car insurance doesn`t have to be confusing. Take the time to go over the numbers and figure out what you would be able to afford out of pocket in case of an accident and how much you can afford to pay on a monthly basis. A little research can go a long way. It`s also helpful to speak with the car insurance agent who can give you a good idea of what the norm would be for your car`s age and your driving experience.<bio>Provides complete home and auto insurance solutions and offers a 30 day money back guarantee to new clients.
Many people have credit scores that are less than perfect. To date, there are over 30 million people in the U.S. alone with severe credit blemishes. Though it is a common problem, a bad credit score can prevent you from getting a loan or credit card that has reasonable terms. If you need to raise your credit score fast, here are three things to try:

Reduce the Balance on Your Credit Cards

Making installment payments on your loans can help raise your credit score, but reducing your credit card balances can help raise it even faster. Credit card balances are an example of a revolving account. Revolving accounts only look good if there is a large gap between the amount of credit you are using and the available credit limit. If possible, try to get your credit card balances reduced to less than 30 percent of your credit limit.

Check Your Credit Card Limits

Because many credit card companies, such as American Express and Capital One, do not officially report your credit limit to the credit bureaus, the bureaus use your history purchases to determine what your limit is. For example, if your credit card has a limit of $3,500, but the most you have ever charged is $2,500 the bureau will assume that $2,500 is your charging limit. If you have a habit of charging this amount on your card every month, it may look like you are constantly maxing out the card--even if you pay the balance. To remedy the situation or to quickly raise your credit score, ask your credit card company to update your limit information with the bureau or pay your balance before your statement period closes.

Dispute Old Negatives

Just as you can dispute errors on your credit report, you can also dispute negatives. This can sometimes be the easiest way to raise your credit score fast. Often times, collection agencies and lenders have moved your information around so much that their records are a mess. If this is the case, they may not bother to pursue a situation or dispute. If they no longer want to make the effort to collect the money, the negative item can be dropped from your report. <bio>Visit http://www.creditreportsense.com for more Repair Credit Info. </bio>

Outside of the United States, there has been a widespread ban on car radar detectors. However, this is not a new motion. In Canada and in many European countries, radar detectors have been illegal for some time now because of the fact that they would normally allow motorists to break the law until the mildly annoying beeping noise notified them of police presence.

In that case, the motorist would quickly slow down to the proper speed and nobody ever had to know that they had been driving 50 Kmph over the speed limit.

The radar detector would notify the motorist in plenty of time before the police caught them on their radar. It seemed like the perfect crime. However, radar detectors were soon outlawed. Some police organizations also fitted their radar with a detector that would detect... well... radar detectors.

In other words, they developed a radar-detector detector. For the most part, this made it nearly impossible to use one and get away with it. Now the word on the street is, why are radar detectors banned? What is so bad about them?

The counter-argument to those who advocate use of the radar detector is simple. The anti-radar detector group believed that motorists who use radar detectors pose a greater risk on the road than those who do not use them. At first glance, you may be inclined to agree with the anti-radar detector group simply because those using radar detectors would be more likely to drive faster, therefore increasing the risk of accident.

However, the 2001 Mori Report tells us that those drivers using a radar detector actually pose 28% less risk than those who do not use them. Interestingly, this may point to the fact that those drivers who drive at or under the speed limit pose as great of a risk of accident, if not more, than those who drive over the speed limit.

In Canada, the car radar detector is illegal in all provinces and territories except Alberta and Saskatchewan. It was legal in most provinces until the late 1980's and early 1990's. <bio>Robert Coram writes for http://radarfinder.com is a website filled with resources on car radar detectors and wireless radar detectors </bio>

Check out the many poker tournaments right now and one of the more popular poker variations being featured is the No-Limit Texas Hold em. The popularity of this poker variation isn't limited on actual tournaments on casinos; rather you can see and observe its popularity online as well thanks to the many sites out there. Though this is considered as one of the more popular card games out there and a number of online sites promote this game, remember that this card game isn't suited for everyone. In fact this is not suitable for beginners since this game will typically require and high importance on the tight or the more aggressive way of playing. But if you are really into this game, then better know at least one No-Limit Texas Hold em strategy. The aggressive way of playing the game is one strategy that should be taken in mind by the ones who want to win and win big in this card game. And that's to play tight every time and don't play too many hands.

Another No-Limit Texas Hold em strategy that should be remembered is to play the players. As mentioned this variation of the Holdem is a complex one and players should be experienced enough since the attitudes and the inner workings of the players is as important as the value of cards. This is the reason as well why beginners should forget this game first, since at this game you need to play the players and not play the cards.

But say for example that you are an intermediate player and you want to play this version. Then it is suggested that you remember this one No-Limit Texas Holdem strategy; and that's to start first with the low buy-in and the no-limit tournaments. The basis for this tip is that the player will risk modest amount for every card game session and will be forced to learn the tight and the aggressive way of playing the game.

But what makes the No-Limit different from the Limit version? Well the main difference between the two lies on the position and the hand value. The position of the player is more important in No-Limit since the decision that you will make will impact the stack. Trapping someone with the help of the position will allow you to win your opponent's stack as compared to the extra bets that you can take on the Limit version.

Here's one good No-Limit Texas Hold em strategy as well; keep track of the amount of money that you guys have placed on the table. Remember that the variation in stack size will affect how the game is played. In almost all the variations of poker, bluffing is considered as a potent tool. And this works as well in this version; bluffing is a potent No-Limit Texas Hold em strategy as well. Bluffing is an important tool and strategy if used in conjunction with the good read of the hand and of course the position. Once you know just a few of these strategies then for sure you can do well on your next game of No-Limit online.<bio>Go to http://www.PokerOnlineSchool.com for a free e-course on how to dominate the competition in cash games and sit-n-go's using the best no limit texas hold em strategy.
You have tried memorizing small group of words, perhaps 3 to 5 items at a time. But there will come a time when you'll need more than 5 items to remember or even more than that. When you're mentally unprepared to load your brain with information, there is a big chance you won't catch up with anything. For this type of task, you'll need to memorize information in large quantity and to do that; peg word method is just the right way to use.

Peg word method relates to numbers. This would mean that you need to link information in words with numbers. The way you do it is simple. When you need to remember certain information, let's say a cinnamon bun, you need to associate it with a number in your peg system. In this case, we'll take the number 9 equivalent to the item cinnamon bun.

In order to understand how a peg word method works, when you need to remember the item, just think of the number associated with the peg word, so given the example, you can create a peg word that rhymes with the number 9. Let's make the word 'pine' as the number 9 peg word. In turn, for you to remember strongly the item cinnamon bun, imagine a pine tree with buns as its fruits. The association you made between the number 9, the peg word and the item you need to remember is evident by this time. You'll never forget what number 9 could mean to you.

If you need to go beyond 10 numbers, all you need to do is to add a classification to the group of numbers. For example, everything between numbers 0 to 9 should all have the color green while the numbers from 10 to 19 should all have the shade of yellow and so on and so forth. This way, your thoughts won't go astray in memorizing anything beyond the 10th item. You will still have a guide with the type of peg words you need to associate your items with which can help you remember. <bio>Shareen Aguilar is a writer for http://www.memory-improvement-techniques.com which has Memory Improvement Books and Memory Game Software. </bio>

Students are typically rewarded with free merchandise such as t-shirts, frisbees, and more for filling out an application.

As far as the other details go, student creditcards aren't very different from any other credit card. The biggest difference is the fact that these cards for students are usually offered to individuals who have no prior credit rating or history. While credit card companies certainly assume greater risk when extending lines of credit to students, it's a gamble they're willing to take.

Most student cards are initially issued with a relatively low credit limit, usually $1,000 or less. After a 6 month probationary period however, the student can typically request an increase in their credit limit.

So, as a college student, should you take advantage of these credit card offers and apply? In a word, yes. Student credit cards provide an excellent opportunity for college students to begin establishing their credit reputation, but care must be taken to always use the card responsibly. In my opinion, there should certainly be more information made available to young adults on the topic of credit and how to use it in a responsible fashion.

There are many different credit card offers available for college students, so how do you choose the best one to apply for? The 2 most important factors to take into consideration when applying for any credit card are:

1. What is the credit limit that you can realistically expect if approved?

2. What are the fees associated with the card and how is the interest rate compared with other offers?

Whatever you decide, remember to use your newly acquired credit card responsibly, make your payments on time, and take care not to overextend yourself financially. <bio>For student credit card reviews, visit the Credit Card Forum at http://www.TheCreditCardForums.com/ now.
A speed limit is the fastest speed that one is allowed to travel on roadways in a motor vehicle. Speed limits are usually set by legislative bodies and enforced by law enforcement. The speed limits that are set are usually what is appropriate for the driving conditions on a particular road. If the road is narrow or very curvy, it may have a lower speed limit than a road similar to it that is a little wider and has less curves. Highways, however, are quite unique in their speed limits for several reasons. One of those reasons is that they are usually straight and quite wide. This means their speed limits are higher than 2 lane roads that can be narrow or the streets in town.

The speed limits that are set on a highway are not higher than what is reasonable, so they do not endanger a person's safety. However, it is important that an individual adjusts their speed for such conditions as fog, rain, or snow despite what the speed limit says. There are areas that actually post minimum speed limit signs to keep the flow of traffic in check, but in hazardous conditions, it is not necessary to obey these minimum speed limit signs and not recommended to travel at the maximum speed.

This is common in the U.S., but what about speed limits in other areas around the world? Montana used to have a highway with no speed limit. Are there any more highways anywhere in the world that has no speed limit?

And there is.

The Auto Bond highway in Germany has no speed limit. It doesn't matter how fast a person drives, they will not get pulled over for speeding. This is where the "rule of thumb" regarding not driving faster than what is reasonable comes in. Only about 30% of the motorways in Germany actually have speed limits, but there is no universal speed limit put in place.

As for other speed limits around the world:

=95 The United States: Anywhere between 55 and 80 mph =95 The United Kingdom: 70 mph =95 France: 68 mph when it is raining and 80 mph when it is not =95 Italy: 80 mph, but is reduced to 70 mph in rainy conditions and on curvy roads. The speed limit can go as high as 95 mph on roads that are straight with three lanes going each direction. =95 Netherlands: 75 mph on most motorways, but there are some places in which the limits are 62 mph. =95 Switzerland: 75 mph =95 Canada: 55 to 70 mph =95 China: 75 mph =95 Australia: 80 mph

With the exception of Germany, most speed limits are enforced on highways. Usually, if the traveler is traveling within 10 mph over the speed limit, law enforcement may not issue a ticket. In fact, only about 1% of speeding tickets are for violations 10 mph below the speed limit. However, every country has their own guidelines regarding how they enforce speed limits. The United Kingdom, for instance, considers it an offense if a person is exceeding the speed limit by what is considered tolerable plus 10% plus 2 miles. This is an example of a formula used rather than simply ticketing someone for going a certain number of miles per hour over the speed limit.

Nevertheless, it is fair to say that if you are going to visit a country, it is good to obey the speed limits because you can receive a speeding ticket if you're not complying with the posted speeds. If there is a highway and a sign posting the speed limit, then that means there is a law enforcement officer to pull you over if you don't obey. <bio>Personal, business or holiday car hire.
As their very name suggests, adverse credit credit cards are an option available to those who have a bad credit history and, thus, credit rating.

Why you may want to apply

If you do happen to have a bad credit rating, then there is a strong likelihood that you'll be successful when applying for one of these credit cards where you have been turned down when applying to the mainstream card issuers.

Moreover, if you do have a bad credit rating, then applying for adverse credit credit cards can help you to re-establish you credit rating quicker -- provided, of course, that you manage the card correctly and pay your bills on time!

How to apply

You can apply either Online or in the more traditional method of sending off an application form. Normally it will take a couple of days for the issuer to decide your creditworthiness. Having said that, provided your credit rating is not totally destroyed you should be successful in your application.

What will the credit limit be

Don't get too excited, although, like all mainstream cards, there is no set card limit, depending instead on your ability to repay the limit balance that may be outstanding, one of the ways in which adverse credit credit card issuers limit their exposure is to set the card limit below that which you may otherwise have received with a successful application to a mainstream issuer. That said, provided you keep a clean record and pay all of your bills in a timely manner, there is no reason why your limit should not go up over time as you build trust between you and the provider.

What's the interest rate

Along with the credit limit, the interest rate is one of the factors that puts most people off applying for this type of card. In most cases the APR is higher than that offered by competing cards and if you were merely comparing credit cards then it would look unattractive. Nonetheless, the best interest rate offered by the card is the same as that with any other card -- 0%. So, if you pay off the balance in full each month, and with the lower limit this should be easier to do, the card will cost you nothing, while at the same time helping to rehabilitate your credit rating and history.

Adverse credit credit cards are an easily affordable option of getting your financial health back on track. It is important, however, that you try and repay as much of the balance as you can possibly repay each month and that you never fail to miss a repayment date -- otherwise this type of card can very quickly turn into an expensive and bad experience! <bio>Joe Kenny writes for the credit card and personal loans comparison sites http://www.cardguide.co.uk and http://www.ukpersonalloanstore.co.uk </bio>

As it turns out we have a title that we have to preface with "pardon my language, but I wrote a book..." We thought we had a strong word in our title perhaps even a powerful word, but mostly...we thought we had a funny word. Pretty much if you tag our word-we-can't-say onto anything it becomes a punch line. We can't tell you what that word is though for goodness sake because someone, somewhere on the continental world might be having a bad hair day and get miffed by what we say and then all H will break out.

So, here's the deal...we have this certain word in the title of our book but you will have to come to our website to see it since we dasn't say it here. The title of this book, published by Atria a division of Simon and Schuster, has a word that starts with an A. It's the A-word. Have you noticed we now have words that we have to speak of in code? Life is becoming EXACTLY like a Harry Potter story speaking of He Who Must Not Be Named. This concerns us. We think he should be named whoever he is. Lord Voldermort or not, he's a big bully and we shouldn't have to put up with it. Freedom of speech, George Washington, Ben Franklin and Paul Revere for god sakes. Hrmph.

On various shows -- including INTERNET radio - we've had to promote our book without actually mentioning the title. How's this? "We wrote a book called Embracing Your Big Fat A-word which another word for butt which is actually a donkey." We'd like to see the face of the trainee at the information desk at Barnes and Noble when somebody comes in asking for that title. We have a B-FAB society that is beginning to form but we can't actually tell you what it stands for because it has that dastardly, dangerous A-word in it. D-word, D-word, double D-word.

Now, it's clearly not against FCC rules to say this insidious word that apparently has a corrosive effect on anyone hearing it. On Two and a Half Men, for example, they spout the dire, dangerous A-word on almost every episode. I guess prime time decent is different than Today Show decent (one of the outlets we horrified with our title WHICH MUST NOT BE NAMED.) So we don't want any S and we D-word well won't be using any F-wording language that will gum up our efforts.

How on earth can a word as non-offensive as A-word become demonized? And more importantly when did we have to be guarded in our languaging so as not to cross some new social boundary that so far isn't even consistent. Whew! You're S-ing us. (Scaring.) At what point did we, as a society, collectively return to kindergarten? We're just askin'...cuz we didn't notice it happening. Did we miss something -- like possibly an alien takeover of the world we grew up with and no one is even noticing it? Or are a lot of you out there already Aliens? Oh this is getting alarming. We made you mad enough by using the A-word. If we finger you as aliens we'll probably be goners.

Embracing Your BFA. That's close to the title. Just come to our website and see the book cover. Download a free chapter. Have fun. Just be very careful of the strange, and secretly powerful...

A-word!<bio>Laura Banks and Janette Barber are the bestselling authors of Embracing Your Big Fat Ass (Atria).
Many people apply for credit cards hoping to get a very high credit limit. What they often find is that the credit limit that they qualify for is considerably lower than what they had anticipated. This can be frustrating for people who want to consolidate their debt or who want to be able to use only one card for all of their purchases. One way that many smart consumers get around this problem is by applying for transfer credit cards.

What Determines Your Credit Limit

There are many factors that come into play in determining the credit limit that is going to be offered to you by a lender. One important one is your credit history. If you have a poor credit history with a lot of outstanding balances, you are going to appear to be a risky to the lender and this can reduce the amount of money that they're willing to lend you. However, if you apply for a balance transfer credit card, you reduce the risk because you aren't so much getting more credit as you are moving your debt to a new lender. In addition to your credit history, factors that impact your credit limit include the rates and fees associated with the card, the amount of money that you request, the number of applications that you have filed recently and the amount of income that you currently own.

How Transfer Credit Cards Help

As just described, lenders consider you to be somewhat less of a risky when you are applying for transfer credit cards than when you are applying for a general credit card. This is because you're taking the debt that you already owe and giving it to them, so they know that you're not going to be running up yet another series of bills on the card that they give you. Additionally, a lender is going to look more favorably on a balance transfer credit card application than on a general credit card application. That's because you're saying from the get-go that you're going to give them this certain dollar amount of business. They want your business so they're going to be more lenient on some of the terms if you're willing to look at transfer credit cards.

What to Do With Your Higher Limit

When you go ahead and apply for a balance transfer credit card, you're asking them to give you a new card and to move the debt from your old card to it. But what do you do once that's complete? If the new balance transfer credit card has a limit that you like, you'll want to work on paying off that transfer debt. This is much easier to do if you have a zero percent balance transfer option because it lets you put your money towards the debt instead of the interest rate. The faster that you pay off the new card, the more money that you're going to be able to access on the higher interest rate.

Additional Ways to Increase Your Credit Limit

If you still aren't happy with your credit limit, there are some things that you can do other than to use transfer credit cards to increase the amount that you can get. One is to be a good borrower. The strong your credit history, the higher your limits will be. Another is to establish a good relationship with one particular lender. For example, make sure to make all payments on time to the new balance transfer credit card. Then in a few months, you can ask for a higher credit limit and it might be awarded to you because you have a positive history with the lender. <bio>Robert Alan is an editor for http://www.CreditCardAssist.com and frequently contributing writer on various credit card-related topics.
It's hard to get away from using a credit card these days. If you want to travel, you must have a credit card to reserve a hotel room. Renting a car? It takes a credit card. Want to get a membership at the new video rental store? Present your credit card, please.

For those with bad or challenged credit, life can be tough without a credit card. Secured credit cards can help to bridge this gap for those without credit or with damaged credit.

A secured credit card works like this: you deposit a set amount into an account (usually between $300 and $500) and that becomes your credit limit. Your deposit, in essence, "secures" the credit card. If you don't pay, your money becomes the issuing credit card company's security against default.

After you have established good credit, you can increase the credit line by depositing more money, or the credit card company might extend you more credit without an additional deposit.

Secured credit cards can be an excellent choice for many people, but there are a few things to know:

* Almost all secured credit cards have an annual fee. But these fees can vary greatly from one issuing company to another. Shop around.

* Many banks no longer offer secured credit cards, but often credit unions do. If you want to go this route, you can open an account at many credit unions for as little as $5 and then look into the secured credit card there.

* Most issuing companies will require that you pay the balance in full each month. They don't take your payment due from the money you have deposited =96 you must send a payment just as you would for a traditional credit card. These are usually not revolving credit accounts.

If you think a secured credit card is the right thing for you, there are some dos and don'ts to consider. First, the dos:

* DO shop around. Not all offers are the same. Don't take the first offer that appears in your mailbox. Do your own research.

* DO look into getting a secured credit card with a higher balance if that's what you need. In other words, if you have $3,000 to deposit, find an issuing company that will allow you to deposit that much to start so your limit will be higher.

* DO make sure this is the best option for you. If you have never had credit before, or you have severely damaged credit, this might be the only option. But if you think you can get a traditional card, that's a better option.

* DO read all the fine print. Every single word. Some companies charge so many fees, your small $300 deposit might be eaten up in fees before you can ever use the card. Some require you to purchase insurance, for $50 or more a month. But many companies don't do these things and those are the companies you're looking for. Do your research and get the best deal for you.

Although secured credit cards are a good option for many people, there are some don't considerations. These include:

* DON'T be casual about this credit card. If you have damaged credit, using a secured credit card is an excellent way to re-establish your good credit rating. If you have never had credit, this is a way to establish credit so you can acquire traditional credit later.

* DON'T try to go over your limit (or deposit amount). Not only will the charge not go through, but it will be a mark against you. Keep careful records each month you use the card so you know you're not charging right up against the credit limit. <bio>This article has been provided courtesy of Creditor Web, http://www.creditorweb.com </bio>

In tournaments, one of the commonly played games is the No-Limit Texas Hold'em; this is due to the fact that in the past years this has become very popular not only in the casinos but also online. Because of this phenomenon, a lot of people have made huge amount of money just by playing and participating on the tournament games. These tourneys can also be played online where in more people can actually join the fun. Another good thing about playing No-Limit Texas Hold'em online is that finding replacement for the players who became broke or because of other reasons, is not that hard because there is a constant flow of people online who are willing to play.

As much as you want to play No-Limit Texas Hold'em, you have to remember that this kind of game is not for the amateur players, this is because it requires the players to put higher stakes on a very competitive game. In order for a player to win against the opponent, they must possess the skills that will allow them to play head to head with the opponents. If you are a beginner and you want to win every tournament, the first and basic thing you have to do is start playing at low buy-in, no-limit tournaments. As a beginner, you do not want to play in the field where in you are defenceless because more often than not it will only result to losing much of your money.

Also you have to learn all the different playing techniques that will enable you to win the money in a No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament. Having said this, I think it would be a great help for anyone who is embarking on a career in No-Limit Texas Hold'em to practice the skills in order for them to become the best player that anyone could ever dreamed of becoming. First and foremost, you have to be patient and disciplined when it comes to hand selection. Discipline plays a big part in waiting for your perfect chance of getting the good hand that you been waiting for. Reading the actions or reactions of your opponents will also land you in a very favourable situation, as well as knowing the perfect moment how to become aggressive when it comes to challenging your opponents, says when you call for a raise or bet.

The No-Limit Texas Hold'em usually starts with 10 players on a table, but a game between two players can be done as well. This game is actually very easy to learn but it will take you forever to really know and become the master of this game. One of the players will act as the dealer, you will know if he/she is the dealer if you see a white puck in front of the player that has written "Dealer" on it. Now in No-Limit Texas Hold'em, a player will have the chance to put any bet that he wants to put into stakes. He can even bet all his chips if he chooses to, this betting process is called "all-in". If you want to win big, then you have to bet big amount of money as well.<bio>Sean Moronse is a pro online poker player. He has won numerous online tournaments with over 1000 players.
As a person starting out in Texas Hold'em No Limit poker, one of the best things you can do for yourself, whether playing live or online poker, is to learn to read your opponents and their cards.

The first step towards this may be to learn to read the community cards - the board cards that all players can see and use to make their best 5 out of 7 cards.

Indeed, when playing in online poker rooms where you cannot see your opponents, this is one of the best preliminary pieces of information you will have to decipher how your hand stacks up against your opponents'.

In Texas Hold'em No Limit poker, each person gets 2 of their own hole cards. Of these two cards, let us consider the possible combinations that you can have:

a. a pair

b. connected cards like 8 and 9

c. suited cards - e.g. 4 and Q of and#9829;

d. a combination of the above, e.g. suited connectors like 8 and 9 of and#9829;, or Ace-King offsuit

e. none of the above, like 2-7 offsuit

This understanding will allow you to read the board in Texas Hold'em No Limit poker. So, for example, if the flop comes out as Aand#9829;, Kand#9829; and 10and#9824;, the following are the possible combinations you can be up against:

a. triple Aces, triple Kings, or triple 10s

b. two pairs (Aces and Kings, Aces and 10s, or Kings and 10s)

c. a straight to Ace

d. 4 cards with the and#9829; suit (one short of a flush)

e. one card short of a possible straight flush (Aand#9829;, Kand#9829;, Qand#9829;, Jand#9829; and 10and#9829;)

f. and so on

Similarly, you can read the possible combinations you can be up against on the turn and the river.

Once you have learnt this, you will appreciate the value of reading the board in Texas Hold'em No Limit poker - you can determine how your cards compare with your opponents. In particular, you will know when you have the best possible hand of all the cards and be able to bet or slow play accordingly.

In summary, the key to reading the board in Texas Hold'em No Limit poker, whether playing live or online, is simply to appreciate that you make your best 5 out of 7 cards to determine whose cards are best. As such, if each player only gets 2 hole cards which you cannot see, you can pretty much become aware of the possible combinations that you may be up against, and to compare how your hand is doing against your opponents'. <bio>AKSuited covers Texas Hold'em No Limit poker, the best online poker rooms and bonuses, and poker chips at http://RoyalFlushAsia.com - Your Poker Centre For Asia and the Asia Pacific. </bio>

Every once in a while we find ourselves in a situation that goes beyond the limits we would like to set. It may be something as simple as not being able to say 'no' to a neighbor who wants to borrow your car, and maybe the car is returned late which in turn causes you to get delayed going to work. If you could have said, I will not let anyone borrow my car when I need it, it would have saved you a lot of trouble. A limit can then be defined as a situation where you have control enough to say 'thus far and no more, or the buck stops here'. You are then in a position to negotiate and come up with some alternatives. There are very few things that you cannot set limits to and once these issues are settled, life would be a lot easier to live.

In our personal lives we have often encountered situations like the one mentioned above and those who have managed to set their limits have done well. For those who are still caught up in the circle of want versus need, take heart. You need to start slow and take it from there. Set yourself a time limit the next time your neighbor stops for a chat at a time most inconvenient for you. Give yourself say 3 minutes and then diplomatically tell them that this is really not a good time so, could they excuse you? This course of action will ensure that you have not caused anyone embarrassment, your relationship with that person is maintained and you can go about your job on time as it should be done.

In the business world, one might assume that setting a limit is not required because the boundaries of the discussion exist thanks to the market place. Unfortunately it does not work that way. When the economics are on a downward trend even a business negotiation or deal can go awry. Good and services can be checked out as people know what they are getting in terms of value for money with goods like homes or cars and services like a laundry service etc. but this complacency in assuming that the deal will not cross what they consider to be reasonable and fair is a wrong notion. Take a look at people who are regularly making bad deals. Why does that happen? It's only because they did not set a limit for themselves saying that this would be as far as they would go and no further. If one is firm, then one has the strength to walk away. You can then enforce your limit even if the other party is not aware of it.

Remember that your opponent will have also set limits for himself and there is a limit beyond which they too will not go the same as you. Don't let the situation get to a point where your patience is tested. Those who do try the limits of their patience end up exploding or getting really annoyed and causing more damage than accomplishing anything. So a good idea would be to find out your limit and stick by it. It might save you a lot of trouble and heartache. <bio>Sylvia Jameson is a staff writer at http://www.effectivecommunicationtips.com and is an occasional contributor to several other websites, including http://www.successguidemap.com. </bio>
