You are walking along when you see a suspicious looking character coming towards you. You adjust the hold on your umbrella or walking stick and prepare to defend yourself.

Aware of the need to protect yourself, as he approaches you suddenly hit out and break his head.

Good!

No! Bad! Very Bad!

The result? He lands up seriously sick in hospital.

And you end up seriously sick in jail!

Until proven otherwise, he is doing no wrong walking where he is. He has not at that point actually offered you harm. He is simply an innocent A.N.Other fully entitled to walk where he chooses, as long as it interferes with no-one.

You observe the possibility of an attack. Take several steps well to one side out of his direct path. If he simply continues on his way, on his original path, all well and good. No problem. He is (probably) not going to mug you.

But if now he changes direction towards you, the situation alters. You are under direct and immediate threat. You are in fear for your life. If you don't take command you will end up mugged or raped.

With your weapon at the ready =96 that is, prepared to deliver an `invisible attack' into his face =96 call out to him "Stay There! Don't come any closer!"

If he continues towards you he is about to enter your Personal Space. He is offering you violence. His hand is declared and he means to attack you. If he hits you, you are finished.

As he comes into range of your particular weapon, with absolutely no warning hit him in a major target. Like the chops, the temple, the eye. In such a manner and with such force that his knees will buckle and he will sag down in front of you. WHACK!

If necessary, to secure the situation, hit him again (and again and again=85) till you are manifestly safe, out of danger and beyond his ability to get up catch you and kill you.

If you attack him without reasonable excuse, you will be arrested. If he attacks you (and there are no witnesses) he will probably get away with it.

ALWAYS establish your legality by giving this mandatory warning:

"Stay There! Don't come any closer!"

Then =96 WHACK!

"It's not over till it's over =96 and even then it may not be!"

(14th Precept of sutekki-shin-jutsu) <bio>John Roberts-James is a Black Belt 4th Dan, a Senior Coach and author of many practical books on personal protection. http://www.personalprotectionpublications.co.uk </bio>

Yanik Silver: All right very good. I got one last question maybe two. "How about achieving balance between these three subjects that we've been talking about mind, body, spirit, money, health, relationships what are some of your thoughts on that, this is obviously if one is out of whack then our entire lives become out of whack if we're only focused on money then relationships might suffer and health suffers and you've seen that I'm sure and it's=85

John Harricharan: Yeah.

Yanik Silver: It's not good.

John Harricharan: Yes. The three problems are like the three -- the equal three sides of a triangle, an isosceles triangle. And if you pull one side the other sides will change. And so the most important thing is instead of saying there are only three problems money, health and relationship. I could redefine that to say there is only one problem, the problem of balance. And the way we keep that going is by being grounded in some habits.

For example, we talked about their habit of being grateful. If we start -- that if we do that even through our worse moments during the day but at least once a day and this is habit I've had for years. Yeah, when I put it away things didn't look that good when I remember to do it they started looking differently. And you start feeling grateful and you start feeling more alive. It's a feeling. It's our feeling. We can make ourselves feel whatever way we want by thinking ourselves into it. And that's not a pollayany thing.

I can think myself into being scared of something or being excited about. We all have that ability to do it. So what I would say to maintain balance is we've got a work with these principals of slowing down the conversation, speeding, getting sources of inspiration, which is a whole big lecture I gave once about how you do that, and staying inspired, enthusiastic, and grateful all the time. And then, nothing, no thing will ever be able to touch you.

Yanik Silver: Okay. Very good. John, are you still there.

John Harricharan: Yeah.

Yanik Silver: Okay.

John Harricharan: Yeah.

Yanik Silver: Last question in for you. We talked about hitting rock bottom. Do you feel like people have to go this -- to the rock bottom, to the deep dark levels before they can appreciate all that things that they didn't have before. And they can get it back or is there someway that we can learn from others that that have gone there before us?

John Harricharan: Yes. Yeah. No, we don't have to go there. Actually, we don't even have to get anywhere near there. The only reason that I did I've also been this kid who grew up testing boundaries and being creative with how I did things and going to the edge of things. I'm the guy who was almost gaud by whilde buffalos in Africa almost ran over by elephants in India, almost attacked by gorillas in another part of Africa.

Lot of things like that almost got blown up in planes and almost held the captive by a native tribe. Yes, stuff like that happened to me. And it's like I pushed the window because I might have wanted to make things a little bit more exciting or maybe I was just foolish. I didn't have to lose everything. I could have kept it, but there is some part of me made me do that. And I think we learned from the others and what they have done.

Now, if I were to look at it again, I'd say, you know, I don't want to do in that way. That was not very creative. And I could have learnt it in some other ways. And this is what you -- when you mention can we learn this from others, we could. We could look at them and say, "You know, I learned the good things they did and things that didn't work and I'm going to use the good parts and put together a conglomeration of ourselves based on the goodness or the things that work in other people. But keeping in mind this caveat something's work for some people and some don't except the universal things."

Yanik Silver: That's very good. I think that's probably a good way to end it.

John Harricharan: Well, thank you. Thank you. I could talk with you forever because it's always so good my friend.

Yanik Silver: Yeah, it's wonderful, catching up with you a little bit and thank you so much for sharing some of these distinctions, and some of your unique perspectives on this. <bio>Lecturer, entrepreneur and Fortune 500 business consultant, Vish Writer is the author of the Amazon No 1 bestseller, "The Joy of Becoming God" For more information, visit: http://www.spiritual-simplicity.com http://www.vish-writer.com </bio>

Vital for some =96 but a Liability for You!

Important for YOUR success =96 but leading to YOUR defeat!

Slide your feet and demolish him =96 slide your feet and get kicked in the belly!

Move to your Left, WHACK! him =96 Move to your Right, be whacked yourself!

Move about =96 be crushed! Stand still =96 crush him!

To be skilled in Footwork =96 ten long intense years of study; but to be skilled in Winning =96 five minutes of study - Stand Still!

Practice your footwork=96 and Lose; Don't =96 and win!

The most important factor in using footwork is =96 DON'T! You will surely be defeated and smashed.

For you, as a Beginner, this is most important advice. When you hit him, don't move your feet.

If you misguidedly attend self defence classes, your instructors will pour scorn on these remarks. Show them a copy of the first part above those dots and you'll see what I mean!

Explanation

You are a middle-aged unfit man or woman with no training or experience in the martial arts. You want to survive alive and unbroken in a mugging or rape attempt. You want that knowledge now, today =96 tonight indeed! You lack time, you lack fitness. You lack skill. You lack strength. You lack inbuilt ruthlessness. You don't have a chance?

Wrong!

Simply because you don't have a chance against a professional mugger or drugged rapist, YOU DO! You have every real chance of surviving, of breaking him.

You are aware that a weapon gives you that much more chance of coming through in more or less one piece. You MUST therefore carry a weapon. A valid legal weapon. But what is a legal weapon?

A walking stick, an umbrella, a dog chain or dog chew. Possibly a karatetsu P.E.S.T.

Don't put any reliance whatsoever on rape alarms =96 why should an innocent bystander come to help you, a total stranger, and have his throat cut as well as yours? It just doesn't make sense. Far safer for him to mobile phone the police, five miles away, and stay alive to try to identify your killer =85

You must learn say three techniques with your favourite weapon =96 stick, umbrella, chew, whatever.

Your technique must be delivered from a standing still position. If you move your feet the (expert) mugger will laugh.

It must arise from an innocent, non-threatening position. It must not be held above your head as if about to hit him. Ideally (in your case) it must arise from your right rear and slash up through his left chops.

You must give absolutely no warning. This takes courage (and Autogenic Training!)

And then and only then can you step to your left and smash down into the angle of his right neck. Many times, many many many times =85

To use footwork takes much, much practice, months indeed. If you are not immaculate in your move, he will counter you. He may be a Mugger but most assuredly he's no mug.

If you don't move your feet he MAY not twig on to your intention. And you must hit him in the instant before he starts his close attack. You must hit him first. You must in fact PRE-EMPT his coming attack and scatter his wits as you smash his chops. And only then, while he is momentarily witless do you proceed as Survival dictates =96 WHACK!

Footwork? What footwork? You want to survive, don't you?

You do, don't you?

Did I hear you say "Yes"?

Then forget about Footwork! <bio>John Roberts-James is a Black Belt 4th Dan, a Senior Coach and author of effective practical books on self defence. http://www.personalprotectionpublications.co.uk </bio>

At one time, trying to make it as an independent band would most certainly spell disaster for any group. Today that is no longer the case. The widespread success of Australian based dance group Sneaky Sound System definitely points to the fact success can be achieved independently. The group, which is comprised of chief songwriter Black Angus, Peter Dolso on Guitar, Jono Sloan on bass, Connie Mitchell on vocals, Mc Double D and Felix Bloxsom on drums, is rapidly becoming one of the most popular acts in the world. In the fall of 2007, Sneaky Sound System brought home the awards for Best Dance Release and Breakthrough Artist at the 2007 ARIA Music Awards.

Given the group's humble beginnings, their rapid rise to fame is nothing short of astounding. Angus McDonald, better known as Black Angus, partnered with Daimon Downey in 2004 to establish what would be the beginnings of the group. In fact, they even went so far as to establish their own record label. After Peter Dolso joined the group, the trio set up a studio for the newly established Whack Recordings in and quickly dubbed it "The House of Whack." Almost immediately they began to create their own unique blend of music. The group's first release, "Hip Hip Hooray" quickly garnered attention from local radio stations and DJs. Before long, the hit single had gained the status of being a cult hit.

A true turning point for the band came when Mc Double D and Angus had the opportunity to meet Connie Mitchell, who had previously performed with Primary. Connie went on to perform the vocals for the new band's self-titled debut album. "I Love It", the Funky House Music tinged first single, rapidly shot upward on the charts, peaking at the #5 spot on the Australian Dance Chart. Follow-up singles also performed well, with "Tonite Only", a remix, hitting the #1 spot on the ARIA Club Chart. Since that time, Sneaky Sound System's debut album has gone on to achieve platinum sales in Australia.

In the last few years, the group has continued to gain fame and notoriety. In 2006, they performed as an opening act for Robbie Williams and have also performed during the 2007 Australian tour of Scissor Sisters. In 2007, the group's widespread success earned them six nominations for ARIA Music Awards. This was the largest number of nominations of any Australian artist during that year. In addition, the group's nominations matched the record for the most nominations that had been ever received by an independent artist. In addition to these nominations, Sneaky Sound System also received a nomination for Fav Band at the Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards that same year.

It certainly seems that Sneaky Sound System is headed toward not only success in Australia but around the world as well. The group has signed an international record deal that will provide for the release of their music not only in the UK but around the globe.<bio>Click to find out more about Sneaky Sound System Funky House Music! </bio>

Ah, I remember the good old days when I had my first banjo lesson. Actually, it wasn't exactly my first lesson. I had been using the internet to improve my "skill" for a while, and I was slightly conceited since I thought I had some idea about what I was doing. I watched videos of a real expert playing the banjo while the tabs were available as well. I learned a few songs and techniques that sounded interesting, but that was about the extent of my knowledge.

When I had my first real lesson, it broke down all those illusions I had of being a decent player. I tried to show off, but as soon as his deep eyes met mine I missed a chord. It was my first time to ever play any instrument in front of anyone, and I didn't think I would get nervous. After all, I've always been a gifted public speaker. The only one in the room was my teacher, and I was having a terrible time.

I'm having a hard time seeing my future in banjo playing, especially since I can't even whack up the ginger to play something in front of my own teacher. He's a nice guy, and he can play the banjo like no other. He's already taught me several exercise I can use for my next lesson. It's also a great experience just to watch him play, since his skill far outweighs mine. I just hope I will sound at least slightly more decent the next time I have a lesson.

But if I always freeze up when I try to play at my lessons, I'm worried that my instructor will never be able to give me the help I truly need. It's impossible to get feedback and constructive criticism if everything I play is absolute garbage. I think I will start recording my lone practice and playing it back for him. Hopefully I won't freeze up just knowing that he will be listening to it soon... <bio>For more banjo related information and entertainment topics, visit: http://www.entertainmentadvizer.com </bio>

Stock Market Industry Beta is the measure of how a stock's trading price moves compared to the market as a whole. Knowing this figure one can understand how volatile a stock is. A beta of 1 means a stock's price fluctuates exactly as much as the market. A beta less than 1 means a stock is less volatile than the market and a beta greater than 1 means that stock is more volatile than the market.

Betas can be determined for entire industries also. The "industry beta" would compare the volatility of the industry relative to the whole market. For example, technology stocks tend to be more volatile than the industry so the beta would be more than 1, generally.

To calculate industry beta you need some historical data of the price of the industry stock and historical price data of the entire market. For example if you were going to calculate beta over the last year for compare technology stocks versus the SandP 500, you would first gather the historical data you need. Next, determine the movements of the two prices after each trading day. This will give a percentage change versus the previous day. Once we have 365 of these we can average the group to determine the average move each made over the last year. We can call the average industry movement Ri and the average market movement Rm. Finally, divide the technology industry's average movement by the SandP's average movement and we will have an outcome that is less than 1 (less volatile), 1 (equally volatile), or greater than 1 (more volatile). Written out this function looks like this:

and#914; = Ri / Rm or B = Covariance(Ri , Rm)/ Variance(Rm)

Beta can be useful in stock research when judging how risky a stock is versus a stable investment with a guaranteed rate of return. It must be noted that the longer period of time the beta is acquired the more accurate that beta will be. Also, betas are more valuable when used with stocks that have a long record of high volume trading. Smaller stocks that don't trade a lot can fluctuate wildly on a busy day and throw the beta out of whack for the period being measured. <bio>Don't miss out the secrets of finding stock volatility information when you visit http://www.tradingsphere.com </bio>

A few weeks ago I got a call from guy named Peter.

Peter is a hard working guy who is desperately looking for a way to make money at home.

He hates his job, has no formal education and has no idea where to start. The only "lead" he has on what to do is joint venture marketing which he read about on one of my sites.

In other words, he likes the idea of selling business A's product to business B (and vice versa), and taking a cut of the profit -- which is what joint venture marketing is.

However, he still didn't know where to start or what to do. He didn't know how to find product owners. He figured if he could find product owners, it would be easy to find out other businesses to sell to. Plus, he was worried he had no reputation and didn't know if anyone would really take him seriously.

I told him the solution to his problem was actually very simple. And if you are looking for a fast home business to start, you can use this exact same solution I gave him, too.

Here is what I told him:

I suggested that Peter try to acquire other older products by experts in a niche he was interested in and leverage off of that person's credibility.

For example, a few years ago I found an expert on buying businesses. I saw his ad on ebay. I emailed him, talked with him and asked if I could take a whack at helping him sell his business buying system.

He said yes, and I've sold nearly $100,000 worth of that product on my site and on ebay since.

And you know what?

You can do the same thing.

Search around online, in your home town, or on ebay -- and find an expert in a niche you want to sell to. Find out if they have a product to sell -- even if it's an older one. Get the rights to sell it and then start a simple business selling it.

This is one of the easiest and simplest home businesses you can start and make money with you will ever see. It's simple, it's fast and will work for you if simply do the steps. <bio>Michael Senoff is a sought-after Internet marketer, interviewer and business coach.
Borrowing money has become easier in recent years, and credit cards have become abundant and more and more competitive. It seems to be so much easier to get hold of credit nowadays so it's no surprise that there is more debt in the developed countries than ever before.

Credit card companies, banks and other lenders all make their money on the interest they charge you for borrowing money from them.

Obviously we can never predict in life when something is going to go pear shaped, we may lose our job for one reason or another, we may have ill health and be unable to work, we may have other financial commitments and find that the money we have doesn't seem to stretch very far. This is unfortunate but quite often things can be resolved quite soon with the least upset.

People on lower incomes or poorer credit ratings are generally offered higher interest rates, and this is where many people come unstuck. Each month you have to make a payment, and quite often people on low incomes will pay just the minimum balance from their credit card statement, now this seems great for a while, until one day you realise that all you seem to be paying is interest! Your balance is just not going down! So what do you do? Well some people starting weaving a very tangled web by transferring their balance to another card with a great introductory offer (if they are in the lucky position to be accepted for another card).

Again this seems fine for a while until the introductory offer expires and you have to pay full whack interest!

Meeting the monthly demands becomes quite difficult, and in the end people are borrowing from one lender to pay another.

This is where debt consolidation comes in. Basically, a lender will pay off all of your debts, and then you will pay just one bill, to them, they claim that they could even reduce some of your debt. Research is the best tool here, before you go off and sign up with any old debt management company, read all of the terms and conditions and make sure you are aware of what is going on. Approached correctly debt management could avoid getting to the nasty stage of Bankruptcy! <bio>Pearl Deloria is a Finance Manager.
Once in a while, I get really bored with my workouts. You know, after a while it gets to be the same old, same old stuff. It is always weights or cardio machines or the same stuff over and over again. I have worked out for years and sometimes it is nice to have something different to sink your teeth into when you go to the gym. Or it is also nice to have something fun and invigorating to do at home. Something that gets you started off on the right foot in the morning.

I recently found something that fits that criteria and it is called Tai Chi. You may have heard of it. It has been around for centuries. Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art but different from regular sparring types of kung fu. Some people may call it a soft style of martial arts and I think they have a point because you can't really whack a guy with Tai Chi. But that doesn't matter because the point of this exercise is to help a person relax and to inner reflect, if you will. How to do Tai Chi correctly and effectively is a simple matter of finding the right instructor.

You see, Tai Chi is all about finding the right balance within yourself, your "Chi" or spiritual center. Most people do not do Tai Chi for any martial arts benefit. I know I did not start it for that reason. I did it to have another form of exercise in place of regular boring stuff I was sick of. The thing is, I discovered that it really does help you find peace and improve your balance.

Tai Chi is based on using the whole body, even the inner strength of the mind and breath, all together as one unit. Think of it as standing yoga or a combination of that and ballet. Maybe it seems silly for a tough guy like me to say I do something similar to ballet, but I tell you, it is not only relaxing but challenging as well. Some people call it moving meditation. Because that is what you are doing. You are moving your hands and arms and legs together, but you are relaxing your mind at the same time to allow deep meditation.

Tai Chi patterns are easy to learn and hard to master. They are very flowing and smooth and develop the internal flow or Chi or your body and soul. It was tough for me at first, doing all those weird poses and repetitive moves, but it got easier and much more fun once I got the hang of it. I knew I had to be bad before I good be good.

There are a wide range of videos out there to help you get started and I tried quite a few before I got hooked on one instructor that really blew me away. You have to find someone that knows what they are doing and can really relate to you what Tai Chi is all about.

Here is what really struck me...it's something I can do for my health for the rest of my life. <bio>Yoshi I.
The other day, Bernie Mac died. I found this really bizarre. I wasn't a huge Bernie Mac fan -- I thought he was great in a few movies like Ocean's 11, 12, and 13, and he was a funny man. He had a great zest for life.

But, man, he was 50! It's just awful.

This is something that I've written about before -- I wrote about the movie The Bucket List -- where we always think we have endless amounts of time left. We're always waiting, just hanging out, and waiting, waiting, waiting.

We're saving money to go to Italy when we're old. We're saving money for a rainy day. We're going to buy that house that we really want -- in ten years. We're going to go on that vacation 14 years from now. We're going to get that dog that we've always wanted in another four years.

We're going to ask that woman out that we really like -- next year. We're going to lose those pounds next year. If you're a woman, you're going to feel better about men and start flirting with them -- as soon as you lose those extra pounds. If you're a guy, it's the same thing: you're going to lose some weight and then you'll go meet people.

But let me tell you something: I wonder what Bernie Mac would say about all of that? Bernie Mac was just 50 and he died. 50 years old: that's young.

Bernie Mac lived a great life. He had such a zest for life. I used to love watching him on interviews because he was always so full of life. He was so alive, so strong, and so vibrant. He took a lot of risks. He had a passion for life. He did a lot in his 50 years -- but he had a lot of life left.

The real question here is: what are you waiting for?

What do you want to do right now? What are you waiting to do until you are older or have more money? Or until you have more things, or lose more weight -- whatever it might be. What exactly are you waiting for?

You cannot wait. I've been looking to buy a house lately. I keep thinking, I'm going to buy this certain house, and I'll buy the house I REALLY want in five years. No -- I'm going to buy the house I really want right now! Why would I wait? I don't know where I'm going to be in five years.

Now, I'm not telling you to go out there and spend your entire life savings and do something crazy, but there is something called balance. Most of us are out of whack in terms of balance. I don't think we spend enough time doing the things we want because we keep waiting for something to happen. Or we will do it, but in the future.

Have you ever seen the movie Defending Your Life with Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep? I suggest that you rent it. It's a great movie. There is a great lesson in that film and it's very interesting. It teaches you that you need to seize the moment.

So think about the bigger picture. Bernie Mac passed away at 50 years old. Think about the bigger picture.

What do you want to do? What do you want to accomplish? Who do you want to meet?

And why are you waiting?<bio>Hailed on Fox News, The LA Times, The NY Times, Playboy and more... No matter if your parents have had heart attacks, or if you are leading a sedentary lifestyle, it is important to understand and learn about what is going to be the signs of a heart attack. Heart attack symptoms are something that should not be ignored, and that you should seek medical attention for if you feel or think that you are having a heart attack. A heart attack can lead to death, and a severe heart attack can sometimes be prevented or treated if you know what some of the heart attack symptoms are.

Heart attack symptoms in every day life No matter what you age, there can be underlying problems that are going to lead to a heart attack if you are not careful. The first line of defense for anyone, is to get regular checkups. For the doctor to see you when you are healthy and feeling good, and then when you are sick, the doctor can determine easier what may be 'out of line' or 'out of whack' making you feel ill. Getting a regular physical is going to be a good defense preventing medical problems in the long run.

Heart attack symptoms can be very sudden and for other people they can be long-term problems, pains and even just discomforts. A heart attack is one that can come on and not last very long, or for other people it can be sudden and the pain can last for hours.

If you feel a heavy feeling in your chest, like someone is standing on your chest and you just can't catch your breath, this is a sign of a heart attack. If you have been feeling a pain that comes and goes, that is uncomfortable, that is a squeezing feeling or a sharp shooting pain, this could be signs of a heart attack.

Another sign of a heart attack can be a shortness of breath. If you are a very active person, you know what it will feel like when you are unable to catch your breath or take in a deep breath. The signs of a heart attack include not being able to take a breath, or a deep breath which can in turn leave you feeling dizzy and feeling as if you need to sit down for a while. A heart attack symptom is not one that you should ignore. If you are feeling combinations of symptoms it can be vital to get to your doctor as soon as possible.

If you feel pains or discomfort in your arms, legs or in the chest, and you feel as if your neck or jaw are hurting uncontrollably, these could be additional signs of a heart attack. Heart attack symptoms will vary from person to person, but pain that is not normal, that you don't usually feel, in combination with shortness of breath and or a tightness in your chest could be a huge sign that you are heading towards a heart attack. <bio>Vigdis Tange Andersen's http://www.heartattacksymptom.org </bio>

Typically, when the word cholesterol is mentioned people automatically assume something bad but cholesterol can be both good and bad.

Because cholesterol can be both good and bad it's important to learn what it is and how it affects your health, as well as what you can do in regards to treatment if the need be. In a nutshell, there are two types of cholesterol - LDL and HDL.

High-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol is carried in the blood stream. HDL cholesterol is considered good because it protects our heart from strokes and other cardiovascular diseases. As a result, low levels of HDL increase the risk of heart attack. The optimal level of good cholesterol is about 40mg/dL.

On the other hand, bad cholesterol, also known as low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is considered bad because if present in excessive quantities has a tendency to clog in the arteries which increases the chances of heat attacks or other heart related diseases.

When excessive amounts are present in an individuals blood it has a tendency to build up on the inner walls of the arteries that feed the heart and brain and together, with other substances it forms form plaque. Plaque is a thick, hard deposit that clogs arteries which results in a condition known as atherosclerosis.

The optimal level of bad cholesterol is 200mg/dL or less. Higher amounts tend to increase the chance of heart problems due to an increased change of clogged arteries.

Another important factor regarding optimal cholesterol health is triglycerides. Triglycerides, which are a form of fat, are also produced by the body but they are also come certain types of food. The reason triglycerides are important is because individuals with high triglycerides tend to also have high total cholesterol levels - high LDL or bad cholesterol and low HDL or good cholesterol levels.

Because cholesterol levels change it's important to get them checked fairly regularly. Proper cholesterol levels are a major part of optimum health and so it's important to understand where you stand. Do you have too much of the bad, too little of the good, are both out of whack or ideally, are both good cholesterol and bad cholesterol in check.

Tip - For options in finding the best lender for you, check out the links below. <bio>Visit http://www.cholesterol-gateway.com or http://www.cholesterol-gateway.com/links.html or http://www.cholesterol-gateway.com/sitemap1.html for more information on cholesterol. </bio>

Many disorders excist for anxiety. They range from post-traumatic stress disorder to extreme reactions to phobias. One of the most commonly experienced forms of the problem is the Generalized Anxiety Disorder. We can see the variations and therefore identify which one is present in a person.

1. Anxiety Disorder

Basically, the key symptom is excessive anxiety and worry. As noted, some level of anxiety and worry is entirely natural. It is our way of warning ourselves of risks and possible problems. Not having an ability to experience anxiety would surely be far more destructive than experiencing normal anxiety levels. Elevated anxiety disorders, Of course, can be debilitating. When ones worries become out of whack with reality and are disproportionate or excessive, a problem is present.

2. Diagnostic Criteria

Lets take a closer look at the DSM diagnostic criteria for a Generalized Anxiety Disorder. As noted, it first requires excessive anxiety and worry. It also requires that these worries most occur more days than not for a period of at least six months, about a number of events or activities In other words, one must be disproportionately worried on a regular basis about a variety of things in order to receive the diagnosis.

3. Three Of Six Symptoms

- restlessness or feeling keyed up or on edge - being easily fatigued - difficulty concentrating or mind going blank - irritability - muscle tension - sleep disturbances

4. Uncontrollability

Thus, being worried a lot does not in and of itself constitute a disorder. There must also be some level of uncontrollability and some other manifestation of the problem. An anxiety disorder, according to the diagnostic volume, cannot be the outgrowth of concerns related to a similar disorder. For instance, having a fear of a panic attack (that is a feature of panic disorder) when one experiences panic attacks would not qualify.

5. The Heart Of The Matter

If the anxiety becomes distressful enough to impair social or occupational situations and prevent functioning in society, this can be of major concern. This is really the heart of the matter. When the worry and anxiety reach a level that interferes with normal functioning, an anxiety disorder is present. This breakdown applies specifically to a Generalized Anxiety Disorder diagnoses, but it is enlightening with respect to other anxiety disorders. Primary features are still the exact same with excessive worry, experiencing this frequently and uncontrollably. <bio>For more great anxiety related articles and resources check out http://counselingplace.info </bio>

If you know why and how windows become stuck then you can learn how to fix them too. Read on to learn more about getting that creaky window in your house.

Your windows can become stuck for many different reasons. Sometimes the wood can expand or contract, a moving part may get painted over, or sometimes they are fused together. Here are some of the most common problems solved for stuck windows:

If the joint is painted over then you can cut the paint with a window zipper. This tool is designed to do exactly that. You can also use a putty knife to accomplish this task. Try holding the blade against the sash and then push the edge into the joint while you also draw the tool over the surface at the same time.

If paint has built up than that can cause a lot of friction to occur. Use a paint scraper to get rid of the old paint from the window stop, blind stop, and parting strip. If you lower and raise the sash while doing this it helps. If the sash is low then you might want to take the window stop out and sand and scrap the edges of the window. If you can't do any of these things you might have to do something more complicated. This means you need to take out the sashes and strip all the paint off the wood. Afterward you can repaint the sashes and then install them again when the paint is dried.

If there is too much friction you can lubricate the sash channels. Use candle wax or baby powder for this job. This will also help the surfaces that are painted from sticking together. If you need to reduce tension caused by spring metal weather stripping in the sash channels than just use a hammer and a wooden block to flatten them out.

If it is stuck you can try to whack it on the center rail. Do this near the place where the window locks. This can break a bond between the painted pieces and allow you to open the window up. Use your hand to do this task, but if doesn't work then try a mallet. A rubber one is best.

You can also try to tap a block of wood against each side of the sash as well.

If you are worried about preventing heat loss, then you can install friction channels. If you want to do this then take out the sashes, weights, and pulleys. Use fiberglass insulation into the openings of the weigh cavities. Work your way down from the top with a rod or stick.

Create new channels using a hammer and chisel. Follow these tips and never find a window you can't open again! <bio>Focusing on news and information about best miter saws, Kurt Schefken works largely for http://www.insidewoodworking.com .
Acne is an opportunistic fighter. It hits you when you're already down. It usually doesn't lead the charge; but it shows up after a long battle has been fought.

When Acne does show up, it's the sign of an already compromised liver. Acne assaults the liver, by piggybacking on a two-pronged strategy, toxins and hormones.

Acne and Toxins

This avenue of attack shows how good an opportunistic enemy acne is. Daily we battle exhaust fumes, smoke, and all kinds of pesticides in the food we eat. Also, metals in the water we drink, and other toxic agents. The liver must filter out this garbage.

The constant onslaught frustrates and slows down the liver. Acne then quietly slips in. Do you get constipated? Does your acne appear after your constipation has gone?

How about a skin rash? When you've finally gotten rid of your rash, up pops acne. Has this ever happened to you? This shows the nature of acne...opportunistic! It comes after a battle has already been waged. Be vigilant! Know your body.

Acne and Hormones.

Hormones out of whack are a major cause of acne. Regulating hormones is a function of the liver. Too many hormones in the system results in over-abundance of oil production in the skin.

This leads to clogged pores resulting in acne. The groundwork for acne has been laid by a hormonal imbalance. Acne loves to piggyback.

Function of the Liver

The liver functions along these lines. The food you eat is broken down by your stomach acids. The blood in your stomach is like a train. It picks up and carries the food throughout your body. Before your food goes on that train ride though, it must be screened.

That's were your liver comes in.

It screens the baggage (food/blood). Then the baggage passes through the liver check point. As it passes through, it is stamped approved by a bile marker. Bile assists with further breakdown for easier digestion and absorption. The nutrient-rich blood is then sent on its way.

Conclusion

Acne is frustrating. We can be diligent and watch for constipation and other known acne forerunners. But then, out of the blue, acne appears.

One reason for its sudden appearance could be an over abundance of hormones racing around in your system. These hormones may not present a trigger. So you believe that your acne came from out of nowhere. That's the frustrating part.

We can win the battle though. Our fight is an internal fight. Simply put, to hold off acne, we need a strong liver. <bio>Reg Willi has been helping his daughter battle acne for years. We know all of her triggers. It's the silent triggers that still catch us off guard. How about you? Do you know your triggers? Do you need help identifying your triggers? He uses an excellent acne book to help his family.
When you buy a vehicle you receive certain instructions regarding maintenance that are recommended by the manufacturer. However, with your busy schedule and the increased cost of car maintenance you frequently put off tire and oil changes, checking under the hood, and other similar regular maintenance necessities. Unfortunately, if you put off car maintenance due to schedule and budget you are risking a bigger inconvenience to your schedule and budget by having your car breakdown. Consider the following maintenance tips to help you keep your car in tip top condition.

Oil Change

Your car needs an oil change every 3,000 to 10,000 miles depending on the way you drive, the age, and condition of your vehicle's engine, highway driving versus in town driving, and a variety of other factors. Because this is a very wide range in which to change your oil you should probably change your oil every 5,000 miles if you drive like the majority of individuals. Of course, a small percentage of individuals fit into the high and low ranges of the above numbers, but every 5,000 miles is a good round number for an oil change. By following this tip you will spend about 20 minutes and less than $25 and keep your car running for a very long time.

Tires and Tire Pressure

You should check your tires on a regular basis, especially the tire pressure. Each size tire has a recommended tire pressure and maintaining that particular pressure in the tire will prolong the life of the tire as well as provide ease of driving, not to mention increase your safety. When the proper tire pressure is maintained in your vehicle then braking, cornering, and braking are superior which means your safety is increased. Vehicles are not as stable when the tire pressure is out of whack. You should check your tire pressure at least once per month. This is really easy and free as long s you invest in a small tire pressure gauge which is very inexpensive. When you stop for gas and the tank is filling up, simply check all of your tires to ensure the proper air pressure.

Brakes

You know your brakes are one of the most important aspects of your car. They slow you down and basically allow you to avoid accidents on a daily basis. Because of this you need to be extra alert to your brakes. Also, if you can tell it is time to change the breaks because they are squealing or not slowing your car as quickly as necessary then don't put it off. Instead, take your lunch break, or whatever time you have and have your breaks changed immediately. Additionally, each time your car has the oil changed have a full inspection including your breaks to make sure the breaks are working properly. If not, you may have them changed the same day.

There are lots of different aspects of your car that need regular maintenance and upkeep. Just make sure you are alert to this fact and always follow the manufacturers suggestions when it comes to your vehicle and your vehicle will last longer and your safety will be increased. <bio>Read independent car dealer reviews written by car buyers for car buyers at http://www.CarDealerCheck.com.
As business owners we sometime like to trust our staff 100% but in a perfect world this may not be the best possible scenario. While it is good to have that warm fuzzy feeling inside and feel good about your staff but sometimes the temptation is to much for even the most honest of staff.

Many business believe that the largest problem with theft at their business is customer theft but it has been proven time and time again that in fact the largest theft by far is from staff. This is not just an off the cuff remark but a problem that is documented time and time again.

So as a matter of coarse when installing security cameras for business you are watching your staff and your staff are watching your customers. Many businesses also use cameras to check not only for theft but for performance , just say your jobs aren't completed when they should be and imagine your staff telling you they have been busy . Imagine your absolute shock when you watch the replay and find them chatting to their friends for the bulk of their shift.

Many times after security cameras are fitted at a business the amount of stock loss almost stops , initially causing a jump in profit that may surprise even the most pessimistic and trustworthy of owners and bosses. The main thing to think about when initially installing cameras is to hide them or have fully visible types.

Generally owners may think that a hidden camera would be best , but from experience this may not be the best option. The reason for this is quiet simple from the numerous installations of hidden cameras we have witnessed , it was without a doubt6 every single staff was found doing something wrong. Im not saying stealing but , sleeping , deliberately breaking things , its really quiet a shocking statistic.

So what we recommend is fully visible cameras and tell all the staff , but if you have a suspect you want to catch with the price of cameras today you will be able to get a hidden camera and recorder for quiet a reasonable price. I know you are thinking that you will simply go the hidden camera option and tell them that cameras are present but think of this , what if they don't believe you.

Then you will catch your staff doing wrong and have to start from scratch again. Remember that with a hidden camera you will catch them doing something that they are not meant to !. Although you may be able to prove me wrong and I hope you do. Surely not all staff will do wrong , forgive my negative attitude but history has mostly proven me right.

So in summary if you want to have a warm fuzzy feeling inside whack some cameras in the shop and aim them at the till , you will them be able to know that your staff are doing every thing you ask of them because there is nothing worse then paying someone while they steal off you. <bio>C S Liner writes about Security Cameras for Business for Secure Sales a website dedicated to providing all manner of information to help business secure their sales and help minimize their losses visit http://www.securesales.com.au/index.php/category/security-cameras .. </bio>

I'm never more delighted than when I get invited to a barbecue cookout at a friends house, not only because it's the way of cooking that I prefer but also because it's a great opportunity to have a chin wag and a glass of "pop" with folks that I maybe only get to see once or twice a year.

I'm really fortunate to be part of a great bunch of lads, one group from my school days and another set from university and everyone gets on really well together. We all live in different areas of the country so it's difficult to keep the contact and a barbecue cookout in the summer sure helps. It keeps all the kids outdoors as well which saves on the clearing up!

Friends for over twenty years, barbecue parties every summer yet still no one can cook a decent grill. I'm delighted to attend but as I turn up my eyes suddenly dilate with horror seeing chicken wings dowsed in flames and worst of all, one of my friends expecting me to eat them!

It's probably no wonder that as soon as I turn up I wrestle the tongs off him and get the whole food rack far away from the grill for a good 15 minutes and let everything settle down.

The flames appear because the coals are not ready, fat starts to drip and up it goes! The more flames, the more fat and the more fat, the more flames. Food black on the outside, raw on the inside. Have you been there? Well here are my recommendations so that you never have to go there again.

Whether it's a charcoal or gas barbecue grill it's all about patience and the preparation of the coals. In a gas grill, the flames heat up the lava bricks and it's the bricks that radiate the heat to cook the food so the simple tips for gas:-

1. Give it time and gas on full whack to get the coals up to temperature.

2. When the coals are hot and you're ready to cook, turn the gas down just to maintain the temperature in the coals and keep them well away from the food.

Despite me saying be patient, gas is still wonderfully quick and convenient to have a barbecue but never should it be instant. Anyway, why hurry?

For charcoal barbecue grills there's a certain knack to preparing the fire:-

1. Pile up the charcoal to get it all burning at the same pace 2. Coals are ready when they are white (not black) 3. Before cooking, spread the coals out and don't worry, they will still give off heat. 4. Start off with the food rack on its maximum height and bring it down gradually. 5. If you're cooking on a kettle, remember to reduce the aperture of the bottom draft.

Not only does it take patience to get the perfect BBQ but it also takes time and experience =96 some of my friends clearly haven't mastered it after 20 years! So please don't give up, it really is worth the effort when you get it right.

One final tip whilst you're in training =96 put your food in a barbecue basket. If you do get some flames you can lift large quantities of food simultaneously off the grill without too much hassle.

So now you have the barbecue smoker recipes for success enjoy your BBQ this summer! <bio>The Barbecue Smoker Recipe Man writes free barbecue grill recipes and meat smoker cooking ideas on gas, charcoal or electric.
You may have never heard of probiotics, but they are essential for the proper function of the digestive system. Probiotics are `good' bacteria that live within our digestive system that allow it to function properly and to fight of illnesses and self heal. If you don't have enough of these good bacteria in your system, you may have problems with heartburn. Though probiotics and GERD don't seem to be related, they are in a round about way. If you have the proper balance of probiotics in your system, you are going to have an easier time controlling reflux.

When probiotics are balanced, the digestive system can then run as it should, and it will not be struggling to self heal and carry out day to day functions. It is said that the intestines should carry at least 85% of the good bacteria in order to function properly and to fight off bacteria such as E. coli, salmonella, and other damaging microorganisms. However, most people have more bad bacteria than good. This might leave you wondering how exactly probiotics and GERD are related.

When the probiotics are out of whack, the body is more susceptible to problems, and one of the more common problems is acid reflux. GERD often happens in a digestive system that is weak in one form or another, and that would explain why a system that is low in probiotics might be more prone to having bouts of indigestion and all of the associated pain and discomfort.

Those who want to avoid taking medications to deal with their heartburn might instead look into probiotics. This is a natural cure, and has helped some with GERD. The treatment works by raising the amount of probiotics in the system, which then allows the body to deal rebalance the digestive tract and eliminate potential causes of acid reflux. These probiotics aid in digestion in many ways, including help with lactose, all foods, and some of the more troublesome carbohydrates that people eat. Bloating, pain, cramping, and indigestion may quickly go away.

This treatment may not work for everyone, however it may be worth a try to avoid being stuck taking prescription medication for long periods.

Continue reading for more information about how probiotics can help ease GERD symptoms and to grab your copy of the free Acid Reflux newsletter by signing up below.

Introducing probiotics into your diet is not something that has to be difficult as they are found in many natural sources. You can find them in yogurt, by eating homemade sauerkraut and flax oil. You can also find probiotics supplements if you don't think you can eat enough of the right foods. However, to be beneficial ensure that whichever supplement you chose contains at least five billion microorganisms in each dose.

If you think that a lack of probiotics and GERD symptoms might be related, you can try introducing the foods or the supplements into your diet, but be sure to talk with your doctor about what you are going to do. You may find this treatment helps with your reflux, but it can also enhance your health in many other ways. <bio>By Kathryn Whittaker. If so, now is the time to start taking some action because if you do not change the way you are optimizing a web site you will be feeling the Google Bomb on the next update. Let me explain, a little personal experience that may help you.

Back during the 2002 era of search engine optimization many web site promotion firms were looking to gather links and simply continue to gather more and more. Although, this was the method at the time and the best strategy to improve search engine placement a lot of energy was put into these optimizations. Then a google bomb happened.

What is a google bomb, well this was a statement which was created in the SEO arena because a lot of companies were just building garbage links. The linking strategies were perfect for 2002, but not perfect for the new update. So as our team kept building links the 2002 way all of a sudden=85 WHACK!!!! Our rankings were getting killed on our testing sites. We seen dramatic drops in rankings. Some of our colleagues were just slammed just like the dot com boom. Why was this happening? How could this happen, we were following the right practices of google.

This happened due to something called LSI, latent semantic indexing. While researching an article about LSI in Google's patent you would come to find that links must theme related and it would benefit your rankings if you used different synonyms in articles. While MSN Live Search and Yahoo are a little behind this implementation it is wise to understand how to create high quality articles that help improve search engine placement. The fact of the matter is when increasing your search rankings you simply need to think of long term success. To optimize a web site for the future, you will want to create high quality articles and content.

Setting you as a resource or leading expert in the industry you are writing about.

What most business owners may not understand in search engine optimization is that your site must be unique and a resource that increases the experience of the visitor. As a professional search engine optimization company, you learn that no matter what the business there is always something that can help increase users experience.

Better search engine placement is about increasing the user experience on the web site, optimizing the site structure, researching key phrases and web analytics.
