Tweezing is the most inexpensive way to remove unwanted hair. A pair of Tweezers will cost between two to five dollars, but the effect of a well shaped eyebrow through tweezing can be very astounding. Your eyebrow's shape should go along with your brow bone's natural line. The arch should come out to be the highest at the pupil's outer corner. To know exactly where the brow should start, align a pencil straight up from the inner corner of the eye. To know where it exactly should it end, a pencil, held diagonally from the outer corner of the eye to the brow bone can help. The very first time you pluck your eyebrows, it could be painful. But after two or three sessions, you feel almost nothing. Eyebrows shape should have an arch. Ideally, it should be over the iris of the eye. Be careful not to overdo it; it should come out natural and conforms with your eye.

1. How To Pluck Eyebrows:

- Look and study your brows in the mirror. - Pluck when your pores are open. Do your eyebrows immediately after a shower, or apply warm compress to your brow area to open up the pores. This will help in minimizing the pain that plucking can create. - Apply a baby's teething pain preparation. If you are plucking your eyebrows for the first time, it will be helpful to apply a baby's teething gel, to numb the are so you can pluck with comfort. - Be certain that there is enough natural light available in the room. - Use a pair of tweezers that you can handle easily. Test that it can grip the hairs well, so it can pull the hair from the roots well, without slipping every time you pluck. - Soften the hairs with a skin conditioner or moisturizer, so hairs can slide out easily. - Brush the brows upward so you can see your natural arch and shape your brows from there. - From time to time, stand back, take a few steps away from the mirror and examine your brows. - Be conscious always of your eye's natural shape. Don't make a super arch if that is not naturally you. It will be very obvious and will give you a funny look. Make the arch as natural as possible. - With an eye pencil, draw first the desired shape of your eyebrows before you start plucking. - Focus your plucking on the stray hairs first. These are usually finer and will not be as painful to pluck. Also, they won't give as much attention, in case you make a mistake. - Note that you should only pluck the hairs at the bottom side of your brow. Never pluck the hairs at the top. - First tweeze under the brow and pluck in the direction of the growth of the hair. - Be sure to pull hair one at a time and close to the root. - With your thumb and first finger, stretch the skin area tightly so you avoid pinching the skin, which can be painful. - Comb the brows upward, using your eyelash comb, and trim off any hair extending beyond the brow bone. - When finished, pat with tea bags to soothe the area.

2. Don'ts Of Eyebrow Plucking!

- Don't pluck after you have applied lotion to your face. Plucking will open up your pores; lotion may instantly go in the skin and can contaminate it. - Don't use electric tweezers. It can be very dangerous. - Don't use tweezers for pulling out nose hairs. - Don't use alcohol after plucking, as this can irritate the eyes. - Don't dye your eyebrows, not only that it can cause severe eye irritation, it could also look bad. - Don't soak your tweezers in detergents or in plain water.

3. Tweezer Care:

- Always disinfect it with alcohol before and after each use. - Always place a cap to protect the tips of your tweezers. - Be careful not to drop the tweezers as this can dull and miss align the tip.

4. Choosing Tweezers:

When just starting, it will be wise to buy at least four tweezers of different materials, such as stainless steel, copper or plastic coated, so that you will know which ones will quickly tarnish. Stainless steel also do come in different grades. Note that the price of the tweezers does not affect its quality. Both expensive and affordable ones, performance wise, may have the same grip and the same tip that can function well. However, those with high quality materials will cost more, such as a high grade stainless steel. Pay attention to the tip of the tweezers; it should have a wide surface so that it can grip well. Test it to make sure it does the job. Whatever size of tweezers you choose, long, short, wide or narrow, it really depends on your own preference, on which tweezers you can handle best.
Stamp collecting is a popular and rewarding hobby. If you are just starting out and would like to know where to start, here are some helpful tips.

It is said that the first rule of stamp collecting is to find a particular type of stamp you think you would like to collect and to take care of your collection. Some suggestions for types of stamps to collect are location of the stamp (i.e. country, state, etc.), stamp design, or a stamp for a particular season/holiday.

Some people collect one issue of a stamp in volume, one type of stamp only (sometimes referred to as a specialist), and some people collect all the stamps that are able to.

Once you have decided what type of stamp collector you want to be and what sort of stamps you want to collect, you need to learn how to properly care for your stamps.

The first piece of advice is to always use stamp tongs when handling your stamps. While stamp tongs bear a resemblance to tweezers, they are different from tweezers in that they do not have pointy ends. Tweezers should not be used in place of actual stamp tongs as they may damage stamps.

Stamps should not be handled with fingers or laid out on bare table surfaces as the natural oil in human skin and any particulates that may be on the table will cause damage to the stamp over time. When viewing stamps, they should be laid out on a clean piece of paper to avoid as much contamination as possible.

The basic necessary supplies for stamp collecting are the stamp tongs, an envelope to store your stamps in and a storage box to store the envelopes in. It is important to note that the stamp tongs will need to be purchased from a stamp store or can be found at a stamp show.

Once your collection grows, it is suggested that you invest in glassine envelopes for your stamps. These envelopes are made for stamp collecting and are semi-transparent. The glassine material is found to have no harmful effects on the stamps it stores.

It is suggested that once your stamp collection has grown and you have isolated what particular types of stamps you like to collect, you may wish to invest in a album for stamp storage. <bio>http://stampcollectinghq.com Everything you need to know about the hoby of stamp collecting. </bio>

Ticks can be a major nuisance to your pet and can cause a number of different diseases. In fact, ticks are one of the most problematic of parasites when it comes to transmitting disease. Therefore, in order to keep your pet safe and healthy, it is important to know how to properly remove them and prevent them from using your pet as a host.

Preventing Ticks

There are numerous things you can do to help prevent ticks from infesting your pet. One of the first steps you can take is to make certain the environment is not one in which ticks will flourish. For example, you should be particularly cautious when taking your pet for a walk through the woods, particularly in areas with low brush and tall grass. Certain parts of the country, such as the northeast, have a higher incidence of ticks. Therefore, when traveling in these areas, be certain to wear tick repellent and to have your pet properly protected as well.

There are many different types of products that you can use to help prevent ticks, some of which are available over the counter and some of which need to be prescribed by a veterinarian. These include:

• Sprays
• Dips
• Shampoos
• Powders
• Topical Medications

With the help of these products, you can prevent tick infestation while also making it easier to detach a tick if it does become attached to your pet.

Removing Ticks

If a tick does become attached to your pet, it is important to know how to properly remove the tick. This way, you can remove it completely and safely. In order to remove a tick from your pet, follow these procedures:

• Put on a pair of gloves or otherwise take steps to make certain your skin does not make contact with the tick
• Use a pair of tweezers or a special tick removal device to grab the tick in the area near to its head
• Pull the tick out with slow, gentle pressure
• If the head remains in the skin, grab it with the tweezers and remove it as well

It should be noted that skin often comes off when removing a tick, so don't be alarmed if this occurs. In some cases, you may not be able to remove the tick's head if it becomes detached. This generally is not a cause for concern, as your pet's immune system will expel the head by creating a small abscess or infection. If you are concerned about the area or if a remaining tick part does not seem to be getting expelled from the pet's body, you may want to contact your veterinarian.

It is important to note that there are several myths about alternate methods for removing ticks. Applying heat or nail polish to the area, for example, are popular myths for tick removal. Neither of these methods is effective for tick removal and should not be utilized. Rather, stick with removing the tick with tweezers in order to achieve the best results.<bio>CS Swarens is the CEO of Find a Pet Online. 800 998-7065 For additional information on dogs, cats, birds, horses, and exotic pets visit the internet's resource for pets for sale.
Firstly it was the need of contact lens. Secondly the need gave way to fashion. Thirdly fashion gave way to craze. Now amazing things are happening in the world of contact lens. You matched in everything, from tip to toe and in between you had forgotten the eyes. The revolutionary changes in the contact lens culture do provide you with the color of your choice for the eyes.

But these colored lenses and Halloween costume lenses require constant and careful maintenance. However, the procedure is simple. It is done with a no-rub multipurpose solution. Additionally, you require a pair of plastic tweezers and also a contact lens case. You can use any solution marked for soft contact lenses. If you have many pairs of contacts, let each one live in its own case.

It is not alone the solution, but the actual handling of the solution that matters. Solution plays a very important role in the overall handling of the contact lens. Before handling the contact lens, you need to wash your hands with soap. Then carefully pick the contact lens with tweezers and place it on your fingertip. Then rinse it with the no-rub solution. The contact lens is now ready to place it in your eye. And when you take the lenses out, one more rinse is necessary. Now keep it in its case with fresh solution till you use them again.

If you don't wear lenses for several weeks, it is necessary to change the solution and rinse them once in a week. If the lenses remain unattended in the case over a long period, rinse them two times in fresh solution and before wearing them, let it remain in the solution for a couple of hours.

Remember, using proper solutions is related to the health of your eyes. Contact lens solutions for hard contacts need to be used in a proper way, taking this important aspect into consideration.

There is a proper order to use contact lenses solutions. The daily cleaner aspect is important. As soon as you remove them, you need to clean them by using the first of the solutions for hard contacts.

The second solution for hard contacts is the saline solution. This is used for the purpose of rinsing after you have rubbed it in the palm of your hand with the daily cleaner. Then, comes the soaking solution. Now, you need to just place your lens in the soaking solution.

So, this cleaning operation for the hard contact lenses is done once in a week. As for using the solutions, always follow the packaging instructions. These four solutions are enzymatic cleaner, daily cleaner, saline solution and soaking solution. <bio>http://www.contactlenseclub.com/contacts/ andamp; Contact Lens provides detailed information on contact lens, color contact lens, acuvue contact lens and more. </bio>

Ticks. If you've taken your horse on trail rides, you've probably come back with them. Sometimes on his legs. Sometimes on his neck. Sometimes in some very sensitive areas. You'll no doubt find a few in his ears, too. But if they're so far inside his ears that you can't reach them, you'll need to try one of these methods to get them out.

Surface ticks are generally no big deal to remove. If I've got a tweezers available, I'll just grab the little bugger, pull him out (or at least irritate him enough so he releases his grip), then throw him on the barn floor. Then step on him. Hard. When you feel the "click," no more tick!

When Ticks Are Hard To See, But You Know They're There...

But some ticks manage to find their way deep into your horse's ear canal. Sometimes they're so deep you can't reach them, even with a tweezers. A situation like this is actually more dangerous to your horse than a surface tick.

If a tick penetrates that far into your horses ear, it can cause an ear canal infection, or a perforated ear drum. Or maybe even meningitis. Bad stuff. You want to get rid of these horse parasites as soon as you can.

To Remove Deep Ear Ticks, You'll Need This...

Since you can't physically pull the little beasts out, you'll have to result to chemical warfare. You can get some anti-tick spray, but the tough part is going to be getting your horse to sit still while you spray it into his ears. I don't know about your horse, but Rosie will have none of that.

If your horse is the same way, you can try some anti-tick dust (sometimes called tick powder). State Line Tack sells a few varieties. Make sure you get the kind that is designed to be applied directly to animals (as opposed to the kind you put on carpets and rugs).

The key is get the powder into the deep recesses of both ears. I mean as far down as you can get it. Just because you can see a tick in his ear doesn't mean he only has one. There could be more you can't see.

If that doesn't work, call your equine vet. He'll most likely administer some ivermectin or perhaps some other oral deworming agent to kill them that way.

Horse ticks are a big deal. So big, in fact, that Kentucky nearly lost its bid to host the 2010 Olympic games. Equestrian teams from other countries weren't convinced Kentucky was prepared to put defensive measures in place to adequately protect their horses from the parasites.

Keeping horse parasites off your horse to begin with is the best defense. But we know that's not always practical. If you ride him long enough, he'll pick them up. And you'll have to get them off. But now that you know what to do, you can keep him healthier...and always ready to ride.

Yours for Better Horse Care,

Sierra Lynch <bio>Sierra Lynch makes it easy to keep your horse healthy and happy.
Knowing first aid can save the life of your dog. Just like people, dogs have accidents and need medical attention sometimes. And the thing is that sometimes there is just not time to get to the vet, that is when doggie first aid is so handy to know. Knowing what should go into your animal first aid kit is the key to keeping your dog alive and well no matter what happens. If you do a lot of hiking and walking in places like parks or on trails then you should also have a kit in your car for emergencies out of the home.

Most of the items in your doggie first aid kit are similar to those you have in your regular one for the family. There are however some things that need to be specialized for the animal of your life. Here are some of the basics that your first aid kit cannot do without:

Hydrogen peroxide Sterile eyewash solution made specifically for pets Roll of absorbent cotton Some cotton balls Clean, white cotton sock (to cover wounded paws) Gauze pads Tape Small scissors with rounded tips Tweezers Instant ice pack Bulb syringe for suctioning mucous from mouth or nose Injection syringe without the needle (to give liquid medication) Small flashlight

All of these things should fit neatly into a container that has a nice tight lid. This will help to keep everything clean and sterile no matter how long it is sitting on the shelf or in the car. It is also a good idea to have the name of the vet and his or her phone number right there on the lid so that even in a panic you will know what to do. You may even want to put the number of the local emergency animal hospital as well in case something happens early in the morning or late at night when the regular vets are all closed.

Bee stings are one of the most common of all dog injuries. It is important that you get the stinger out right away before an infection has time to set in. This will also help to minimize any pain that your dog may be in. If you have to, restrain your dog and then use the tweezers in the first aid kit to pull out the stinger. You can then wash the area with some luke warm water and baking soda. This can help to take some of the nasty stinging away and easy the pain suffered by your dog. Ice and Benadryl will also help to keep the pain and swelling to a minimum, just make sure that you ask the vet just how much Benadryl is enough for your dog. Just like kids it is important that dogs get the right dosage when they take medications.

Never rush an injured animal. While it may be your instinct to run over and start taking care of the injury, this may spook your dog and scared animals can get a little upset. You do not want to end up with an injury as well, do you? Of course not, so take your time and let the animal know that you want to help not harm.

When Ticks Are Hard To See, But You Know They're There=85

But now that you know what to do, you can keep him healthier=85and always ready to ride.

Yours for Better Horse Care,

Sierra Lynch <bio>Sierra Lynch makes it easy to keep your horse healthy and happy.
There are so many scrapbooking supplies out there that it can be difficult to know where to start. As you do more and more scrapbooking you will start to put together many items into a kit. You can start your kit with the 10 items below. They are tried-and-true tools that belong in the arsenal of every serious scrapbooker.

*A Scrapbooking Album*

This one's a no brainer, you can't scrapbook without an album. There are a wide variety of them out there in different shapes and sizes. Be sure to pick one that matches your theme and colors. If you take the time to find the perfect one it will make all the difference in your project.

*A Pair of Scissors*

A nice, sharp pair of scissors is a must for the serious scrapbooker. In fact, we recommend having a pair that is only used for your scrapbooking. That way you won't have to deal with lost or dull scissors.

*Adhesives*

You certainly don't want your scrapbook pieces falling apart on you. Unfortunately, that might be exactly what happens if you chose the wrong adhesive. As a rule, any kind of children's glue or cheap gluesticks will cause problems. Some of the best adhesives are photo tab dispensers, and double sided tape runners. Whatever adhesive you chose, make sure that is acid-free.

*Tweezers*

Unless you want to get your hands messy and smudge up your scrapbook pages you'll need some tweezers. They make placing small pieces on your scrapbook a snap.

*Scrapbook Paper*

Make sure the size of your scrapbook paper matches the size of the album you are using. Great scrapbooking paper will be also be acid-free and may be described as buffered or lignin-free. Card stock is also a great paper to have around as it can be used for many things related to scrapbooking.

*Pen*

A good pen is also a must for scrapbooking. It doesn't have to be fancy, just a basic black pen that is acid-free. You may want to add more pens with different colors as your scrapbooking kit grows.

*Paper Trimmer*

A paper trimmer is a necessary tool for cutting straight and making squares. There are several different sizes of trimmer and all of them are useful. It's probably best to start with a 12" paper trimmer but you may also want to get a smaller one for portability reasons.

*Eyelet Setter Kit*

Some of our favorite scrapbooks use eyelets for embellishments. Without an eyelet setter kit you won't be able to use these handy little guys. Fortunately they are easy to find online or at most craft stores. They are also affordable.

*Embellishments*

These are the little things that give a scrapbook character: Stickers, eyelets, buttons, charms, etc. Go for embellishments that match the theme of your scrapbook. Have fun collecting these!

*A Great Scrapbooking Book*

Need some scrapbooking ideas? You'll usually be able to get some inspiration if you have a good idea book around. Becky Higgins and Tracy White are both authors who have written some fantastic books on the subject of scrapbooking. <bio>Nicole Fisher is a contributing writer for http://www.superscrapbookingideas.com, a fantastic resource for page layout inspiration, useful links, helpful tips, and tons of scrapbooking ideas. </bio>

It's finally your turn to sit in front of the piercing artist. The fifteen minutes you were seated in the reception area seemed like a long wait. You've nervously flicked through the magazines in the salon. But, you didn't really read anything. Your mind was all blank. Yes! The time has come. And, although you've been planning to get a nose piercing for a very long time, you can't help but feel scared and excited at the same time.

As you walked to the chair, awareness took over and you looked around the room, made sure that the artist has an Association of Professional Piercers certificate and observed the way she sanitized her hands before she approached you and asked you to sit on the chair. You even watched her tear the sealed package containing the sterilized needle. Things were going very well and you laid back to brace yourself for the pain that will follow. And, after a while, the nose piercing was done. With a satisfied smile on your face, you examined the new stud on your nose. It looked quite nice, a very tiny sparkle on your upturned nose.

Now What?

Getting a nose piercing isn't just about fun. It involves getting a set of new responsibilities that you need to take seriously. If your new nose piercing doesn't heal properly, it may get infected. And, you need to watch out for signs of infection. If you notice any redness, discharge, foul odors or a rash around the location where you got your nose piercing, do head to the doctor immediately. You may have an infection. And, you shouldn't try to treat it on your own.

You should rinse the pierced area with antibacterial soap and water twice a day and remove any crusty substances that you may find on it. Make sure that you dry the area properly every time you rinse it. And, if you're a workout buff, you should make sure that you clean the area properly after one.

The Day You Want to Let it Go

There will come a time when you will look at your reflection and wonder if you could make some changes in the way you look. Perhaps it's because you've grown tired of your nose piercing. And, you feel like getting a new stud. You may also want to remove it because you've realized that a clean cut look works better for you.

If you have decided to push through with it, take a look at your nose piercing and makes sure that it is not infected. After that, you need to prepare for the procedure by getting a pair of tweezers and leaving them in boiling water for ten minutes. After drying them in a fresh gauze wrap and making sure that both your hands and face are clean, you can start removing the stud with the sterilized tweezers. While doing this, you should push your nostril gently towards the bridge of your nose. If you can't do this on your own, feel free to enlist your best bud to help you out. After all, friends are supposed to stay with you through thick or thin. <bio>If you plan on getting a nose piercing (http://www.body-jewelry-useek.com/1256-nose-piercing-body-jewelry.htm), go to http://Body-Jewelry-Useek.com.
Most of us are concerned about the amount of hair on our bodies, and there are many options for those who desire to rid themselves of unsightly hair. Shaving and plucking are the most popular methods of hair removal, but there are also methods known as waxing, sugaring and threading.

Shaving is the most popular method of hair removal. It's simple and can be accomplished with a straight razor or an electric razor. Some electric shavers provide best results after use of pre-shaving gels, creams or lotions, as can shaving with a straight razor.

Plucking is used as a method of hair removal for unsightly or unwanted facial hair. Using tweezers, hair removal from eyebrows is generally accomplished by hand held or electric tweezers. Tweezing pulls the hair out by its roots but it can be time consuming, depending on the results you're looking for, as each hair must be pulled out individually. Until the skin around the area becomes desensitized, this process can be on the painful side, and redness, inflammation can occur. For most, the effects of tweezing can last anywhere from three to eight weeks.

Threading is becoming a more popular trend in hair removal methods. This ancient hair removal process continues to be used in various parts of the world today, including parts of southwest Asia and the Middle East. To facilitate hair removal with this method, a long loop of thread, mostly cotton, is twisted into a figure-8 type shape and rolled along the surface of the skin. Hairs caught between the coiled pieces of string are pulled out by their roots, resulting in near perfect smoothness. This method suits hair removal from eyebrows and other facial areas, and is considered by many to be less painful than the plucking hair removal method.

Waxing is a hair removal method that is a little more time intensive and messy, though such inconveniences are more than outweighed by the fact that this method is extremely effective in hair removal of just about any type of body hair. Waxing facilitates the removal of entire shafts of hair, from below the surface of the skin. This method can be accomplished using either cool or hot wax. Be advised that waxing for hair removal, however effective, can cause skin irritations that may last several hours, and if not done carefully, can produce burns and other unpleasant results.

A hair removal method similar to waxing is one called sugaring. In this method, a sugar mixture is used instead of wax. Blending and heating sugar, water and lemon juice until it develops into a pasty mixture creates this concoction. This mixture is then applied to the surface of the skin, like a wax treatment, followed by a strip of cotton, which is then rapidly pulled off the skin in the opposite direction of the hair growth. This method of hair removal is popular among those who are sensitive to the ingredients in wax.

So take your pick, try them out and decide which method of hair removal best suits your time and your preferences. <bio>Is hair removal an ongoing struggle for you?
There are many techniques for body hair removal on the market. People are always looking for the best way to rid their bodies of unwanted hair.

Some people find a method that works and stick to it while others feel they have tried everything and nothing is getting the job done. The first step in finding the body hair removal method best for you is to understand the different methods and how they work.

The best known and used form of body hair removal is shaving. This involves using a razor and some sort of shaving cream or lotion. This method is easy to do and relatively inexpensive. It works by cutting off the hair at the surface of the skin.

Body hair removal by a razor will grow back rather quickly and sometimes hair is cut unevenly. A common issue with shaving is razor burn or rash, also cuts. The best way to avoid problems with shaving is to use a cream or lotion and make sure the razor is gliding over skin evenly and smoothly.

Shaving has to be done often as hair grows back rather quickly in most people. Shaving is good for large areas of hair removal or small areas of body hair removal.

Pulling out hair with tweezers is another method. This method of body hair removal is also inexpensive and easy for one to do themselves. Tweezing involves pulling the hair out of the skin, root and all.

It can be painful and can be time consuming if removing a large area of hair. All that is required is good lighting and a pair of tweezers.

Irritation is the most common complaint. This can be eased by applying ice to the area before plucking. The effects of tweezing last for a while since the hair is removed at the root. Tweezing is best for small areas of body hair removal.

Waxing is another popular form of body hair removal. Waxing can be done for small or large areas of hair. It basically involves applying a wax substance, which can be made of natural products, to the skin and then rubbing a cloth strip over the area.

The cloth is then ripped off, removing the hair follicle with it. This method is rather painful, but does not have to be done often.

Depilatories are a body hair removal method where a cream is used to dissolve the hair. This can become expensive if doing often over large areas.

Using this form of body hair removal is simple. All a person does is spread the depilatory over the area of hair to be removed, wait's a certain amount of time and then rinses the cream off.

Some people experience irritation if the cream is left on too long, so checking a depilatory before use is important. The effects of a depilatory last longer than shaving, but not quite as long as waxing.

A suggested website for more information is: http://skin-care-gold.com

Electrolysis is a permanent method of body hair removal. It needs to be done by a professional. Electrolysis involves applying electrical currents to the hair roots, which makes the root unable to produce hair again. It is a tedious process and for large areas can take hours and be quite expensive.

Personal preference plays a big part in the choice an individual makes. The preference of how often, pain and time all go into what method a person chooses. It is an individual choice, but understanding a little about body hair removal methods can help make the choice easier. <bio>Denise Sears is a beauty and skin care writer who helps people learn about tips they can use.
Forceps are handheld surgical instruments consisting of two blades and a handle used for grasping, handling, holding, and compressing. The word "forceps" is derived from the Latin "formus" (hot) and "capere" (to grasp), defining an instrument designed to grasp, pluck, or lift something that's too hot handle with one's hands. Though the word is plural in form, it is a singular object, just as scissors are, and may likewise be referred to as a "pair" of forceps. They are similar in concept to tongs, tweezers, and pincers.

The story behind the invention of the modern forceps is quite intriguing. They were invented around 1600 by obstetrician Peter Chamberlen and he and his brother went to great lengths to keep the instrument a family secret. When they'd arrive at the home of a woman in labor, two people would carry a large gilded box inside. The woman would be blindfolded and all other attendees were made to leave, then they would commence the operation. The secret was kept until about 1730, shortly after the death of Hugh Chamberlen in 1728, whereupon it was leaked out and a public design of the instrument was made.

Since then, the instrument underwent many design innovations and today, there are many types of forceps used in just about every medical specialty there is. From surgery to obstetrics, to emergency medicine, sports medicine, phlebotomy, and others, these instruments are required tools for every healthcare professional.

Here are few categories that are commonly used:

=95 Obstetrical Forceps =96 which aid in baby delivery =95 Tissue Forceps=96 a type of tweezers =95 Hemostatic Forceps =96 used to arrest blood flow; also referred to as a hemostat =95 Mosquito Forceps =96 a small hemostat =95 Alligator Forceps =96 an angled variety with jaws at the end

In the surgical arena, these instruments serve many purposes. They can be used to handle needles, tissues, and dressings in a sterile manner. In order to handle tissues without applying too much pressure, tissue forceps are used because they have small teeth near the tips. Smooth Forceps are typically used to grab hold of suturing material. Dressing forceps are larger and resemble something more in the realm of tongs.

These instruments are very often used in the field of obstetrics to assist in delivering babies. They're employed as an alternative to using a vacuum device when labor has not progressed adequately, for reasons such as:

=95 The baby may be breeched or in another adverse position =95 Maternal or fetal distress =95 When further pushing is no longer effective =95 High blood pressure

In such cases, the instrument is inserted into the cervix, locked into position around the baby's head, and after an episiotomy is performed, the baby is removed.

The practical and potential uses of this instrument in the medical field are incalculable. They are just as necessary in treatment rooms and operating rooms as an extra set of hands.

With the variety of surgical instruments available in today's medical market place, "the right tool, for the right job" is a statement which can not be understated, especially when it comes to the well being of patients. <bio>To learn more visit our http://surgical-instruments-supplies.medical-supplies-equipment-company.com= / surgical instruments and equipment section or read more about http://surgical-instruments-supplies.medical-supplies-equipment-company.com= /PPF/page_ID/178/article.asp forceps. </bio>

An accident is an unexpected and unfortunate event that occurred as a result of a series of unforeseen negligence, lack of care and keenness to details and unmindfulness to consequences of actions. Of course, no one wants an accident to happen. No one admits to planning or even welcoming it. Something planned to cause hurt or accident is whole different story.

Like it or not, accidents do happen to the best of people and if it occurs, the only thing a person can do is to lessen the damage done. In diseases, of course, an ounce of prevention has always been better than a cure. But since accidents are inevitable events in ones life, one should always be ready to minimize the hurt caused by it.

Small but terrible, first aid kits are usually the saviors of people in pain if an accident struck them. These are compact kits that contain life- saving items from scissors, tweezers, bandages, gauzes, antibiotic creams, ointments to medications.

Most conscious people keep first aid kits wherever they are - at home, in their cars and at their workplace. Moreover, in events that are accident prone like camping and backpacking trips, sponsored missions (like medical missions), hunting and kayaking or simple field trips.

Of course, keeping first aid kits is not as easy as ABC. You have to know the rules and the essentials in keeping an effective first aid kit. The first you should bear in mind is the context of where and when you will use your first aid kit. If the kit will be based at your home, of course, you should be familiar with the kind of accidents that usually occur at home. If its for other purposes, the environment and activity will determine the contents of your kit and the number of people participating. In some other instances, improvising is very important in administering first aid because you just cannot have everything inside your kit.

It is also helpful to learn the three mechanisms of injury for the effective application of first aid. These are - trauma, environmental and medical. Having all these in mind, you are ready to start putting together your first aid kit.

The first in consideration is the kit itself. Again, environment plays an important role in identifying the kind of kit you need - its material and size. But the basics you should keep in mind are -

- Size - Is it roomy enough to carry all the items, keep it organized, not interchanging them? - Durability - Is it strong enough to carry all the contents? Can it stand through harsh conditions? - Handiness - Can it be carried anywhere without the hassles? - Accessibility - Can it easily be opened?

Second to consider is the contents of the kit. Try to think of the most common accidents that may occur anywhere - at home, in night outs, roads and accident prone missions. The most common to occur is wounds and splinters. Your kits should include items that can attend to cuts, wounds and blisters of varying degrees -

- Wound care and cleansing materials - bandages, dressing (for traumas, those that would keep wound dry in wet environments), gauze pads, bandage strips, tapes and other kinds of tapes. Pre- soak pads should be well kept in appropriate containers. You also need to be familiar or review medical history before applying such first aid methods.

- Blister care - this can be prevented by administering care immediately. At the first sign of a hot spot, items such as molefoam, moleskin, first aid tapes should be within reach as these can prevent blisters from forming.

First aid kits also carry protection for those administering first aid like gloves, CPR masks and airways. Hardware too should be present such as -

- Thermometer - Stethoscope - Survival gear - Tweezers - Shears - Whistle - Mirrorsignal device - Pins - Plastic bags - Lighterwaterproof matches - Flashlight headlamp - Survival blanket - Heatcold packs - Parachute cord - Flagging tapes

Medications, as well, should not leave the kits as these are important to help wounds subside or treat other conditions -

- Antihistamine - Glucose - Antidiarrheal - Antifungalyeast - Dental medications - Dental filing materials - Antibiotic creamsointments - Anticonstipation - Antacid - Other special needs and medications

If you are simply starting to organize your first aid kit at home, you will need the 10 basic or essential contents such as -

- First- aid manual - Gauze pads - Bandages - Butterfly bandages - Medical adhesive tape - Alcohol prep pads - Iodine or similar prep pads - Antibiotic ointment - Aspirin andor non- aspirin pain relievers - Tweezers and pins

After collecting all these items for your very own home- made first aid kit, organizing them in the container will be the next step. Ziplocks or other dividers that are waterproof will be a great help in organizing them. It would not hurt also if you can label them properly or color- code them so that they can be easily retrieved in case of emergency to lessen mistakes.

If you have successfully done all these, here are some additional precautionary steps you should take

- Review your medical history so that you will know what other items you can include in your kits.

- Read thoroughly your first- aid manual to understand the functions of all the items inside your kit and how to use them. - First aid kits should be kept in an accessible place for adults to retrieve it as soon as an emergency arises but out of childrens reach.

- Periodically check the kits and be cautious of missing items that need to be replaced or expired medicines that need to be changed and purchased.

After learning all these, you are now ready to get started with your life- saving journey with the help of your first aid kit. You will see how you make life much easier and with a little less pain. <bio>For more great first aid kit related articles and resources check out http://justfirstaidkits.info </bio>

These days, thanks to all the hair removal techniques available, unwanted facial hair should not be a problem for women. If you want a permanent solution and are prepared to pay more money up front, there's a choice of electrolysis or laser hair removal. Alternatively, there are several non-permanent methods such as waxing, sugaring, tweezing or the use of depilatories. These treatments can be received in a beauty salon or performed in the comfort of your own home.

So here's a quick guide to the most popular methods of facial hair removal. The first two options are permanent treatments while the other techniques must be repeated on a regular basis to achieve lasting results.

Permanent Treatments

1) Electrolysis

Each hair follicle is treated in turn, using a tiny needle that reaches the hair root and applies a low electric current. This destroys the hair's ability to continue growing.

Although this treatment can take a long time (some people require several hours of treatment while other people may need regular treatment for several months) it is permanent and is the most reliable long term hair removal option.

On the negative side, the treatment creates mild discomfort and can cost a substantial amount. For example an upper lip may take up to 10 hours, while the chin area can take up to 15 hours. And these figures can be increased substantially for people who have strong hair growth and high hormone levels. So when you consider that a qualified practitioner may charge anything from $25 to $100 an hour, it's easy to see how the costs can mount up, especially if you have more facial hair to treat.

2) Laser Hair Removal

This is one of the quickest and most reliable ways to remove hair from your face permanently. Short bursts of intense laser light are used to heat the hair follicles causing them to stop producing hair.

As one session can cover thousands of hairs and only three to six sessions are usually needed to achieve permanent results, this treatment option is much quicker and more convenient than electrolysis. For example, your upper lip might only take one minute to treat and your chin area could be covered in less than five minutes. It also avoids the need to keep using techniques such as waxing or sugaring on a regular basis.

However, laser hair removal is initially much more expensive than any of the other treatments covered here. For example, a one hour session could cost $500 and you may need 3 to 6 sessions to achieve permanent results. However, you have to balance that against the ongoing cost in terms of the time and effort required by the other treatments.

However, this treatment will not work on certain people (the hair must be darker than the surrounding skin) and regrowth of hair can occur in other cases.

Regular Treatments

3) Waxing/Sugaring

The popularity of this facial hair removal technique is down to the fact that it doesn't cost much and can be done in the comfort of your own home. There are hundreds of waxing and sugaring kits available for home use and with a little practice it's possible to achieve fairly professional results for a fraction of the salon cost.

The basic idea is simple. Waxing involves applying the wax preparation to the intended area. The wax adheres to the hair and skin. It's then covered with a thin strip of material and removed at high speed to remove all the hairs from the skin.

Sugaring is similar, although the sugar paste only adheres to the hair and not the skin, which can cause less pain when the strip is pulled off. Sugaring pastes also tend to be more natural which can be kinder to the skin than many of the chemical which are used in various wax preparations.

Once an area has been treated, it should remain free of hair for three to six weeks depending upon the rate and strength of hair growth in the area.

4) Tweezing

If you have a small number of facial hairs that you want to remove, tweezing may be the quickest and most convenient option. All you need is a good pair of tweezers, a magnifying mirror and plenty of light (daylight is best). Pull the skin taut and use the tweezers to pull the hair in the direction of growth.

One of the best times to remove hair with tweezers is after a bath or a shower, as the skin pores will have opened up, making it easier for the hairs to slip out. There are also many products available that will help to soothe and reduce any redness or irritation caused by the process.

As with waxing or sugaring, the results should last three to six weeks before the hair starts to appear above the surface of the skin.

5) Depilatories

This method of facial hair removal is also popular due to the low cost and ease of use. However, due to the strong chemicals which are used to dissolve the hair, great care should be taken when using these products. Follow the application instructions carefully and before you begin, do a small test for adverse skin reactions on a part of your body that's less visible than your face. These treatments should provide you with hair free skin for up to two weeks.

6) Hair Inhibitors

These products do not remove hair. Instead they act upon the hair follicles to slow down or inhibit the rate of hair growth. Hair in the treated area will be thinner and take longer to grow. Use of hair growth inhibitors will also make sugaring, waxing and tweezing much easier and the results will last for longer.

These products often take the form of prescription creams which must be massaged into the skin twice a day. After one or two months of use, you should start to see noticeable results in the speed and thickness of hair growth. However, these hair inhibitor products are not foolproof and won't work for everyone. So it's just a case of experimenting until you find the product that works best with your skin.

And finally, shaving should be avoided at all costs as it blunts the end of the hairs causing them to appear thicker, making them more noticeable. <bio>For more information on laser hair removal, visit Hannah Garcia's site at http://www.yourlaserhairremovalguide.com </bio>

Coins can also be strikingly beautiful in their own right, with the top designers of a nation striving to have their motif chosen for immortality on the face of a coin.

The history of gold coins dates as far back as 2,700 years ago. The first gold coins in the world were issued in Lydia around 640 B.C. certain internet websites will provide you with a lot of information about the history of gold coins.

Australia reveres its national animal with the Gold Kangaroo, for example, while China has a Gold Panda with a lovely design that changes every year.

This guide will help you recognize a few exceptional American rare coins that you just might have lying around your house, shoved in a change jar, or tucked away into a pocket.

The result is a coin with an unnatural appearance and a lower value. Any cleaning will wear the coin surface, and though it may look brighter for a time, the coin will eventually lose its value to a collector. Learning what to look for, how to identify quality items, how to use the lingo, and how to establish a fair price will make the hunt that much more exciting.

Some people happily collect more common everyday coins, going through their pockets at the end of the day for them is fun, checking dates and mintmarks on their change. Some collectors can spend thousands of dollars on rare silver and gold coins from the 1800's and early 1900's. Some collect coins from different countries. Commemorative coins are a popular form of collection, as are rare minted coins like those which had an error in their stamping. If a certain set of coins doesn't interest you, it won't be any fun at all to become a collector.

Because coin dealers are experts in their chosen fields, they will also have better connections than individuals who buy coins on their own will.

Essential Supplies in Coin Collecting

The condition of the coin means everything in coin collecting. In the world of coin collecting, the coins themselves are considered as gold, this is why there is a need to protect them from damage. Having the right supplies will allow a collector to preserve the integrity of his coin collection. The slightest hint of damage can diminish the value of a coin significantly.

Here are some of the supplies which are used in properly handling coin collections:

Gloves

In handling coins, you must be careful not to scratch the coins. The use of gloves (preferably white) will prevent scratches and other kinds of damage to the coin's surface. Gloves should be made of cotton or plastic.

Coin tweezers

If you not comfortable using gloves, you can use coin tweezers. These are not your ordinary tweezers because their tips are protected with plastic that prevents the tweezers from scratching the coins.

Magnifying glass

In examining coins, you must be able to take a closer look at them. This is where the magnifying glass is most useful. You must be careful in using a magnifying glass when examining the coins. There are magnifying glasses available today that have stands attached to them and the stands allow the collector to use both hands in coin examination to avoid accidents.

Coin collecting for investment purposes can be a tricky endeavor.

But as time goes by, the number of these coins go down. Some get lost and some are damaged beyond recognition.

There were only a few coins with this error, and their scarce nature has made them valuable to collectors.

The American Gold Eagle stands out among other bullion coins because of its lovely design, and because its value is backed by the full strength of the United States government.

At the beginning, coin collecting had a very practical reason - there were no banks in which to store money. For most gold coin collectors, there are the highly coveted rare gold coins and a lot of gold coin collectors are interested in these rare gold coins that they will offer high bids just to be able to get their hands on these.

The best way to get good deals, and avoid the bad ones, is to pick up some standard reference catalogues and study the pricing very carefully. As a rule, it's better to own one high quality coin than a bunch of mediocre ones.

You will need someone to buy the coins from, and it can be difficult to find a reputable coin dealer. Someone who has been coin collecting for years can help you choose a knowledgeable and honest coin dealer. You'll need to learn about the value of different coins. All coin dealers are not created equal, and it is nearly impossible to specialize in every area when it comes to collecting rare coins. Therefore, it's important to know what to look for before you select a professional for your coin collecting needs.

Cleaning materials

A mild soap and a soft high-integrity fiber cloth can be used in cleaning coins.

Mats

When examining or cleaning coins, you must remember to put a soft cloth or a mat on the table where you are working. An accidental dropping of the coin can damage it significantly and reduce its value to literally nothing. A mat or a cloth will absorb the impact of the drop and will prevent the coin from being damaged.

Boards

You must be extra careful in displaying your coin collection. Coin boards are used by many to display their coin collections. In the U.S., the map of the United States of America is very popular among coin collectors to display the different quarters of the different states.

Envelopes

When transporting coins, the use of coin envelopes is very practical. The use of these paper envelopes allows a collector to safely transport his coin and put some information about it in or on the envelope itself.

There are other coin collecting supplies such as boxes, holders, folders, but everything points to the preservation of the coins' condition. The right kind of supplies will determine whether a coin is priceless or price-less.

The collection of ancient, commemorative, and rare coins is a fun and exacting hobby, and opens up a realm of history that most people never get to see. An avid coin collector will be able to tell you virtually every piece of history that surrounds any coin in their collection both because they tend to specialize and because knowledge is one of the most important factors when it comes to starting and maintaining a collection of any value or worth.

Some people have made a lot of money buying and selling coins, others have lost fortunes. If you are serious about investing in numismatics, first spend a bit of time learning.

A good number of coin collectors collect coins according to themes. The coins they collect all have a common topic.

State coins can appreciate in value if you know what to look for.

American coins have undergone several changes in material. For example, during World War II, pennies were made out of steel, because copper was needed for the war effort.

A lot of people find collecting gold coins as not only an incredibly interesting hobby but a fairly lucrative one as well! Over time, your collection will accure value and parts of it can be sold if you desire. Always be on the lookout for rare gold coins, and have coins appraised by a gold coin expert to avoid large differences in price. You can get a silver locating device or a magnetic pole for finding loose coins in ditches, under cars, or in other hard-to-reach places. Or simply rely on your eyes to identify those gleaming metal circlets of potential wealth.

Coin Collecting in Modern Times Coin collecting has been a favorite pastime of many people with a reverence for history, including U.S. Presidents Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. <bio>Free Ebook!
Have you ever considered journaling your life's pages and transforming an ordinary collection of photographs into a vibrant and visual storyboard? Telling the stories behind the pictures and revealing hidden memories and emotions through the creation of a scrapbook can be a wonderful experience that you will admire in years to come as it will make you smile while looking at your past adventures. But most importantly, creating your scrapbook from scratch will give a unique and intimate feel, as a personal touch will turn your albums into something very special. That is the power behind journaling a scrapbook and this cherished feeling is one of the most important elements of different types of scrapbooks.

The best thing about creating a journaling scrapbook is that although there is a plethora of scrapbooking supplies available on the market, you actually do not need much to make your own version and personalizing it according to your imagination. In fact, all you need to create your own scrapbook is an empty album, glue, a pair of scissors, and your collection of photographs, stickers, tickets and newspaper clippings. Additionally, any fabric, ribbon, or bits of leftovers from other projects can be used to embellish your personal journaling scrapbook. Have in mind that as you become more familiar with scrapbooking, you will find products that will save you time and frustration. Although these are somewhat more expensive they are well worth the extra cost. The most usual andquot;investmentandquot; is that of an exacto knife. Its strong and versatile blade allows you to cut almost anything into any shape and when the blade is dull, you can simply brake off the end to reveal another sharp tip. But remember to place the object you plan to cut onto a mat or wad or newspaper before using the exacto knife, since it will cut right through your picture and into your scrapbook page or dining room table if you are not careful or exercise more power than needed. Moreover, you should buy a pair of tweezers as trying to pick up and place small gluey pieces can be a hassle. Tweezers, however, will allow you to move pieces without touching them and getting glue all over your fingers. At this point you should know that there are various glues and affixing options available at your local supplies store. Some of these quick and less messy options include glue dots, two-sided tape, Xyron, acid free photo tabs and polypropylene corners. Also, remember that you should purchase acid and lignin free albums will increase the preservation of your scrapbook and your paper treasures intact. You can find lignin and acid free pages and albums in virtually any color and texture.

Finally, when your journaling scrapbook is ready it is time to add its content. First, think about the people who will read it in the future. If they were not part of the activity you are about to describe you should give them as many details as possible so they can relive your memories and stories for themselves. The 5 W's method is usually the best strategy. Name the people appearing in the photo, and describe who took it and who else was present. Then state the purpose of the photograph. Describing what was happening can help the reader understand the circumstances that prevailed and feel part of the story. Of course, you should state where the event your photo illustrates was and it is always good to give some background information. Remember to tell to the reader when the photograph was taken and add the specific date including the year if possible. In addition you should state why this photograph was used. What makes it so important?

You should not be afraid of scrapbook journaling. Just remember that all stories have a beginning, middle and an end. Ask yourself, andquot; What would I want to tell future generations about the photos on my page?andquot; and this should be more than enough to help you write down your stories. A title page or famous sayings, quotes or a special poem you wrote for the occasion can gradually lead the reader to the end of your story. <bio>Kadence Buchanan writes articles for http://erecreationstation.com/ - In addition, Kadence also writes articles for http://igamerscorner.com/ and http://thetravelinglifestyle.com/ </bio>

Pocket knives are convenient tools that can come in handy for most anyone. Men and women alike can benefit from the convenience of having a pocket knife. They are useful for occasional use and for emergencies. If you are an avid camper or traveler, a pocket knife that has multiple uses can be especially convenient. When faced with an emergency situation, the pocket knife can be used to saw wood, kill fish and prepare meals. For convenience, you can have a handy bottle opener and corkscrew which may not be readily available in all situations.

How to choose the right pocket knife will depend on your needs. If you want something to carry around with you at all times, a smaller, multipurpose pocket knife might be best. For professionals, a nice engraved pocket knife that has a knife and possibly a few other tools will be perfect. They can be purchased at home improvement stores, accessory stores and knife stores. Executive pocket knives can fit into a purse or briefcase easily and look elegant as well. They retail between ten and fifty dollars and can be personalized as well.

For more practical knives, such as a kind you may keep in your automobile or for use on camping trips, go for the multi tool pocket knives. The Swiss Army knives are the most popular and there are a variety of sizes available. These tools range from approximately thirty dollars to two hundred dollars. There are multiple tools that will go with them such as different sized blades, nail file, scissors, saw, corkscrew, screwdriver, can opener, toothpick, tweezers and magnifying glass among other options. The multi tool pocket knives are a little thicker than smaller knives but they still are small enough to fit into a pocket, purse, briefcase or backpack.
A great idea for your car is a first aid kit. You can never be too prepared, right? This might help to save someones life until the paramedics can arrive if you get into a car accident as well. You may never need any of these items but in the event that you do, you will be extremely happy to have brought along this kit. It can be a real life saver in an emergency situation. You can also include car accessories such as a spare tire, tire iron, and more.

1. Be Prepared

In an emergency, you don't have a lot of time to think and respond to what you see. Having the right tools in front of you can make the difference between being stranded for days or being able to get the help you need. Depending on what you would like to include in the kit you might even be able to make it small enough to fit into your glove compartment. There are a few basic items that should be included in emergency kits for all seasons.

2. Kit Essentials

- Band- aids - Bandages - Allergy pills - Painkillers - Medical tape - Gauze - Hydrogen Peroxide - Bottled water - Emergency rations

3. Seasonal Items - Summer

The summer season may require a few additional items in your emergency kit. You might wish to include tweezers for removing bee stings. Another helpful item for the summer is sunscreen. Even the cloudiest days can suddenly turn into bright sunshine leaving you in danger of being burned if you do not have an emergency bottle of sunscreen. Lotions for rashes and poison ivy are also extremely useful in the summertime.

4. Seasonal Items - Winter

During wintertime, your car may be exposed to black ice and other harsh road conditions. Be sure to include extra windshield fluid, a spare set of clothing, an emergency blanket, etc. You should also carry along items to deal with snow such as tire chains, a snow shovel, and a scraper so you can get the frost off of your windows. <bio>For more great first aid kit related articles and resources check out http://signalmirrors.info </bio>

Electrolysis is a method by which body hair is removed. It can be performed on any part of the body except the ears and the inside of the nose. Women often have electrolysis done on their bikini area, underarms, tummy, breasts, chin, brows, and upper lip, although hair can also be removed on the toes, arms, forehead, buttocks and legs. Many men also use electrolysis to remove unwanted hair on their eyebrows, cheekbones, neck, but especially their shoulders and backs. Electrolysis can be arduous in that each individual hair must receive treatment. The treatment consists of a trained practitioner inserting a needle under the skin. An electric current passes through the hair follicle, damaging it.

It is believed that experiments involving electronial epilation (the removal of hair) were taking place as long ago as the Civil War era. Dr. Charles E. Michel (himself an ophthalmologist) reported in the St. Louis Clinical Record in 1875 of the first successful permanent hair epilation by electrolysis. Since then, electrolysis has become quite popular.

Is electrolysis for you?

You should compare the pros and cons of receiving electrolysis before you make that decision. What are some of the advantages of using electrolysis for permanent hair removal? Perhaps the strongest case for using electrolysis for hair removal is that is has the best record of accomplishment for results. For over one hundred and twenty five years, practitioners have been removing hair safely and effectively. In fact, electrolysis is the only method approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a way to remove hair permanently. While some hair may grow back and require additional treatments, that hair is often thinner and lighter. Studies have shown that more than 90% of clients are happy with their electrolysis results.

While the advantages to having electrolysis are huge, a couple of smaller disadvantages may prevent some people off from trying it. One disadvantage is the cost involved. Electrolysis can be very expensive. The average cost of a one-hour electrolysis session is generally between $50 and $60. Remember, however, that during this one-hour session, each hair follicle has to be individually treated. Electrolysis sessions are often broken down into fifteen, thirty, and forty-five minute sessions as well, making them a bit more affordable. You may also get a discount by purchasing a package of two or more hours. Because it is not possible to remove the hair permanently in one treatment, you will need to have additional treatments. How many treatments you need is determined by many things including hair growth cycles, heredity, hormone function, and stress. The average cost of a complete treatment of your legs ranges between $1000 and $3000.

Another disadvantage of electrolysis is that it can be painful and there is a risk of scarring. The sensation of pain depends on each person's pain threshold, but there is a feeling of a pinprick and of course, some areas of the body are more sensitive than other areas. Some people compare the pain of electrolysis to that of plucking a hair with a pair of tweezers. While scarring is not common, there is always a risk. Pitted scarring often occurs when flash thermolysis electrolysis is used on thick, deeply rooted hair as opposed to shallow, thin hair. Finding a qualified practitioner with years of experience should reduce the risk of scarring.

When considering electrolysis, there are several things you should ask the practitioner. Ask if they use needle electrolysis. This has a much higher success rate than those that use the electric tweezers or photoepilators. Ask how many clients they have treated and how long they have been in business. Finally, ask their qualifications and training for being a practitioner. One third of the states in the U.S. do not require a certification for electrologists. However, you can research the Internet to find whether your state is one that requires certification. If it is, the practitioner should have the certificate prominently displayed.

Some people are not good candidates for electrolysis. People with a pacemaker cannot receive electrolysis. Those with diabetes or other serious health problems should always contact their physician before seeking electrolysis treatments to make sure it is safe. Electrolysis is safe for women who are pregnant as long as the thermolysis mode is used.

The decision to have electrolysis is a personal one. While it may require money and time, many people feel that the removal of hair boosts their self-esteem such, that it is well worth it. <bio>Megan Halloway is a cosmetologist specializing in hair removal.
When out in the wilderness, you need to be ready for any type of situation. After all, you will generally be out in the middle of nowhere. That's why hunters normally bring medical supplies and first aid kits with them. Unfortunately, they tend to forget about their hunting dogs in that respect. Hunting dogs can get hurt, too, and they need just as many medical supplies as you. Because of this, you should stock up on some hunting dog medical supplies for your next hunting trip.

Hunting dog medical supplies are a bit different than humans' first aid kits. Dogs rarely benefit from emergency aspirin or from adhesive bandages. Instead, most of what's in a hunting dog medical kit is for serious injuries only. After all, most dogs are tough enough to handle minor injuries. One of the first hunting dog medical supplies you should get is gauze. There are occasions where a dog might get a flesh wound. This can happen if they get in a fight with another animal, or if they get caught in some brambles. You should carry gauze with you just in case this happens. When the dog gets hurt, clean the wound with some water and wrap it with gauze. They should be fine until the end of your hunting trip.

Another entry into your hunting dog medical supplies kit is a splint. Dogs are used to running around in tough conditions without thinking about their safety. This can cause some dogs to fall off of high places. If this happens, they may end up breaking a leg. This happens more often than you would expect. In a case like this, you should splint up your dog's leg with gauze and splint to keep in safe until you leave. If something like this happens, you should probably leave immediately. Broken bones are serious business and the leg should be looked at by a veterinarian. Because of the importance of this kind of injury, a splint is one of the must have hunting dog medical supplies that you should carry with you when you go on your hunting trip.

There are other, less important items that should be in the dog health kit. Most large pet stores carry a small kit that you can bring with you while you're in the wilderness. It will have all of the small items that you'll need, including tweezers and antiseptic ointment. Be sure to carry all of these hunting dog medical supplies with you during your hunt just in case of any emergency. <bio>Feel free to browse our Online Hunting guides: http://www.huntingclubonline.com/dogs and unlock your free report `Plan the perfect hunting trip' </bio>
