Historically, statistics have consistently shown that although the majority of people commit to healthier living for the New Year, only a handful keep their commitments above and beyond the 6 week mark. What does this tell us? I believe that it shows that we either set goals that are unrealistic or that we have yet to master the traits of keeping our word and being disciplined.

It is imperative to realize that your self-esteem and confidence are directly related to your ability to do what you say. Your inner power is equivalent to the power of your word. By consistently keeping your commitments (ie. doing what you say you are going to do) you prove to yourself and the universe that you can be trusted. As such, the more you say something and it occurs, the more you trust yourself because everything you say comes true in reality. For instance, how do you feel when you say you're going to do something, like work out 3 times this week, and then not do it? Pretty crappy right? I know I do. There is a saying that goes "How you do anything is how you do everything". If you find it hard to keep certain commitments in one area of your life I am willing to bet that this tendency will also present itself in other areas of your life.

So what is the solution to keeping your commitments?

First, NEVER commit to something that you are not going to do. Success breeds success, but if you keep setting yourself up for failure by committing to things that don't get done than success will only be an illusion for you.

Second, make your word law in the universe. Make a commitment to do what you say you are going to do. Your word should mean something to you because it definitely means something to others. What if someone told you that they would take care of a pressing matter for you and then didn't do so? Would you consider this person worthy of your trust? Probably not. Take the example of ancient warriors =96 they would die to keep their word because to them their word meant more than anything else. You too can become a warrior, a wellness warrior (without the death), by committing to living healthy and keeping your word.

Third, commit slowly and complete readily. Watch what you commit to by initially making small commitments and building on them. For example, you declare that "each morning I will meditate for 5 minutes before breakfast." By completing this morning meditation and doing the same with other commitments pretty soon whenever you declare something it will be as good as done because of the experience you now have of doing everything you say. This is very powerful. Remember, you commit to something as soon as you declare it vocally or through writing. Your word is put out into the universe. Will you uphold it? I know you will!

Wellness is about balance, being true to yourself, and being whole. To be whole and truly satisfied in life you must begin to trust yourself. So keep your word. Teach yourself, and others, that you can be trusted. Make realistic commitments and stick to them. You will feel better about yourself and you will achieve your goals in no time. <bio>Yuri Elkaim is a Certified Kinesiologist, Registered Holistic Nutritionist, former Professional Soccer Player, and regarded by many as Canada's leading health and fitness expert.
As the MD of a recruitment agency for all kinds of online marketing and online travel jobs, I know how stressful interviews can be for a candidate. Whenever you travel to a job interview, it is only natural that on the way you'll try and think about every possible question that you might be asked and try and devise an answer to them. But there a few that you can cross off the list, as there are some interview questions that potential employers simply aren't allowed to ask...

How old are you?

It may seem like a very innocuous interview question, but due to the new age discrimination laws, it is now illegal to ask a candidate how old they are. It isn't just older people who complain about age discrimination -- many younger candidates claim they are discriminated because they are too young, with employers assuming that they will not have the experience or maturity for the position.

An exception to this rule is when a candidate's age is classed as a "genuine occupational qualification". This applies in the army and the police, for example, which have minimum ages for employment. Of course, that doesn't apply to my candidates who are looking for online marketing jobs, and it probably won't apply to most jobs that you are likely to apply for -- if someone asks you for your age (this includes date of birth questions on application forms) they are straying into dangerous territory.

Are you married?

This might come across as an ice breaker, and sometimes it is -- but for many employers this isn't a casual interview question. Some employers prefer single employees, regarding them as being more committed to their careers, unlikely to become bogged down in family commitments, and more willing to do overtime or long distance travel for a job. Other employers prefer married employees who may be steadier and more reliable. Either way, you don't have to answer this question in an interview.

Do you intend to start a family in the near future?

This is a big no-no in an interview situation. For obvious reasons, some employers aren't keen on their employees having children, with resultant issues of outside commitments, maternity/paternity leave and flexible working requests. An employer can ask if for any reason you may have any difficulties with certain aspects of the job; travel abroad, being away from home for extended periods of time, doing large portions of overtime where necessary and so on, but they cannot ask direct questions about family circumstances.

Are you a member of a trade union?

Employers aren't allowed to ask about your outside associations in an interview, such as your membership of trade unions. These associations don't have any bearing on your capacity to do the job, and could be used to discriminate against you. This extends to political and religious organisations as well, so if any questions crop up concerning your political or religious commitments these topics are very much out of bounds.

Are you gay?

Discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation is illegal, and it is difficult to think of an acceptable reason why a potential employer would need to know this information. In addition to questions about sexual orientation, most questions about your personal life are illegal -- for example, asking someone if they drink heavily as a form of recreation.

If you are faced with one of these interview questions, it is best to remember that in all likelihood your interviewer doesn't realise that they are doing something wrong. Directly confronting them and embarrassing them is unlikely to secure the position. You have the choice of politely asking the interviewer why the question is relevant to the position (giving them the chance to rephrase the question), or you can try and answer the question indirectly. For instance, if someone asks about marital or family commitments, you could use it as an opportunity to state your strong commitment to your work and your willingness to work long hours (that is, if you really want the position!) But make sure you know your rights, and always remember the interview questions that your potential employer cannot ask you.<bio>Gail Kenny is the managing director of Puregenie, an online travel jobs website.
Time management is a big concern for a lot of people. I keep hearing, "There are just not enough hours in the day..." or "Where does my time go?" Face it we all live busy lives. Work, family, and other commitments keep us all hopping. To utilize better time management, it's important to recognize what the specific problems are. Is it not having enough time for you or your family? Do you feel that you are wasting time by excessive driving? Maybe you are not sure where all your time is going and just want to account for it. Or you could have a full schedule that you are having a hard time keeping up with. Whatever the reason, time is a precious resource that most of us need to use to its fullest.

The most important step in time management is evaluating our schedules. On a sheet of paper write up a "typical" week for you, by looking at your current schedule you will be able to identify places where better time management could be use. Ask yourself why you are feeling unsatisfied with your schedule? Make a list of what you want to change and what you want to make room for. Do you want more time to peruse interests? More time to be with your children? Or just more time to get everything done?

After you have done this take a piece of paper and draw three columns. In the first column put a list of all appointments, events, or commitments that are "set in stone", things that take place at a set time and happen daily, weekly or monthly. Such as work, club meetings, or standing doctor's appointments. In the second column put "flexible" tasks or commitments that can be done around your "set in stone" commitments, such as grocery shopping, house cleaning, or having lunch with a friend. In the third column put those "occasional" appointments, doctor appointments, a school play, or an old friend coming into town (or anything that does not fall into the other two columns).

Then using a calendar (preferably one with large spaces for the days) Or use a notebook and label each page a day or two (depending on how much you are trying to accomplish daily or weekly.) Start putting in the items from your three columns, starting with the items that are "set in stone" then the items that are occasional, leave the "flexible" items to last since you are able to put them in around the other things.

The objective is to balance out your days and to maximize your time. Why make a separate trip to the pharmacy when it is on your way to your son's soccer practice? I always try to plan appointments in the same area on the same day, this reduces my travel time and gets the most out of my day.

The biggest thing to consider is: Are you doing too much? No matter how well time is managed there is such a thing as an overload of commitments. Time management is not just about structuring your week so that you can get everything accomplished. It is about creating a manageable schedule that will give you time for the important things in life. So, before looking at your time management skills look at what you are trying to juggle.

Include things that you want to do but just don't seem to have time for in your day. What is the sense of managing your time better just to fit in more work? A part of time management is balancing so that you can have time to enjoy the fun stuff in life too.

If you are so booked solid that you can not schedule an hour and a half of quality family time, an hour of time with your significant other, and at least at the very minimum 30 minutes -- 45 minutes of time for yourself then you have too much on your plate and it is time to ask for help to relieve yourself of some commitments. Being run down and worn-out will not assist you in better time management, in fact it will hinder it. <bio>Tonya Ramsey is a writer, speaker, life coach, and owner of Life By Design (http://lifebydesignsite.com).
If you are looking for the perfect career for you but are unsure of where to look or what to look for, then don't go any further without doing a career search. A career search is a great way to learn about potential careers without making any commitments or signing any contracts first.

The basic idea of a career search is two-fold. The first main purpose of doing a career search is to learn about all the possible careers that are available to be had as great professions. For example, you may know that some people make a great career out of being a chef, but have you ever considered being a chef that gets to travel the world and cook on cruise ships? Or maybe you have considered nannying as a career choice for you. With a career search you may learn that you can be a nanny in another country and make just as much money if not more.

The possibilities for making money and for enjoying your career are nearly endless. Do not let yourself get sucked into a job you hate simply because you haven't taken the time to find a career that is right for you. As a career counselor, I meet with far too many people each week that are stuck doing jobs they hate simply to pay the bills because they didn't know that other careers were really possible. So take my advice and do a career search before you make any other job commitments. You just may be missing out on a career you could love.

A second main purpose of doing a career search is to learn more about yourself. You may not even have a good idea of what kinds of careers would fit your personality and skills until you do a career search to learn more about yourself. Take time to do some of the personality and skill tests that accompany career searches and see what is right for you. If you are going to spend the majority of your life working, as most people do, than why not take your time and through a career search learn what is truly the best career for you.

Having a career you love is one of the most rewarding things in life. Doing a career search can be one of the easiest ways to discover what careers will bring you the best rewards. <bio>Triston Huntsmin is a professional career counselor that encourages all potential-workers to do a career search before making a long term choice about careers.
Have you ever added a new project and found that you had actually taken on one thing too many? Have you ever found yourself being a "human doing" rather than a human being? Do you live with your schedule crammed with activity from early in the morning until late in the evening? Are you driven by commitments and can't figure out a way to get out from under some of them? Consider that it's OK to put some things on the "back burner".

What's this mean and how do you do it? Putting things on the back burner means to deliberately and consciously choose some actions and activities to de-emphasize so that you can focus on the most important items. You will choose some items to stop taking action on now. In effect, you will be creating a timeline for projects, where some items will be handled in the future, and "put to bed" until that future time.

You might say, "But they are all equally important!" or, "There's nothing I can de-emphasize!" Here's some questions you can use to select things that could go to the back burner.

- Is there any area where you have interest, but due to other commitments, you've done no follow through in this area in a long time or never?

- Is there any area where you are collecting massive unread material that causes you pain, guilt and distress when it comes to your attention?

- Is there any area you have commitments to because you believe you "should" do something?

- Is there any area where you are afraid to let go for fear of "falling behind" while holding on to this is causing you to fall behind in really important areas?

- Is there any area where you feel only overwhelm when you consider it?

- Is there an area where you're doing something so someone else will like you?

- Is there an area where you're doing something to please others?

- Is there any area where you are simply "going through the motions"?

- Is there any area where you simply feel dread when you think of it.

Consider moving these items to the back burner. The important thing to remember about this concept is that items on the back burner become inactive. They are not completely taken off your list of actions. You simply don't spend time on them NOW. They can be reactivated at some future time....or not, at your choice. After a period of deactivation, you will find yourself ready to totally decommit from some activities. Other activities you may choose to reactivate at a future time, perhaps with smaller time commitments.

Realize that you have the right to choose which activities receive your focus. In a way, you actually have a duty to yourself to do so. Doing so will allow you to spend your time on those things that mean the most to you, and contribute the most to a satisfying life. It's a form of respect for yourself to know when, and to decide how you will move things to the back burner.<bio>Suzi Elton is a success coach working with "difference makers" who are ready to effect positive change by living their highest life purpose.
Life Insurance -- a Small Price to Pay for Peace of Mind

We all reach the stage in life when we wonder whether we need life insurance or not. This isn't a great decision for any of us -- nobody likes to be reminded of their own mortality, after all! But, it's a decision that comes to us all at some time or other -- especially if we have a family to consider.

To be honest it's worth while looking at taking out life insurance at virtually any stage of your life -- especially as we reach adulthood and start to amass mortgages and other financial commitments. The fact is that it doesn't really matter if we have a family to care for or not -- if we have any kind of current financial commitments then we need to think about what would happen to them if we were to die out of the blue. And, you have to remember that it doesn't matter how healthy you think you are -- you could die in a car accident or get run over by a bus tomorrow!

The thing you have to consider here is what would happen to your financial commitments if you were to die unexpectedly. A lot of people don't realise that the money they owe on stuff like loans and mortgages doesn't necessarily pay for itself after their death -- somebody will have to take responsibility for its repayment. And, in the simplest of terms you have to think about who would pay for your funeral at the end of the day.

Life insurance may be worth thinking about at this stage -- it is essential, however, if you have a family to add to the equation. If you have a partner and/or kids then think about how they would cope financially if you did die and your salary died with you. This isn't just about managing stuff like the mortgage -- it's also all about working out how they would pay for life's necessities never mind life's luxuries. If you protect them with a life insurance policy then they could at least cope financially during what would be a very difficult time for them.

The key thing to remember with life insurance is that it doesn't have to cost the earth. Life insurance policies nowadays can be taken out at minimal cost -- you really could be paying just a couple of pounds a week to get the right levels of protection. To make things easier most industry experts recommend that you shop around for the best quote as the sector is extremely competitive at the moment. This is easily done -- there are loads of web sites out there that can help you sift through competitive quotes so you can find the cheapest policies in just a matter of minutes, for example. This is a great way of getting the life insurance cover you need without spending too much time or money in the process. <bio>Micheal Reese has been in the Life Insurance http://www.uk-life-insurance-finder.co.uk industry for 10 yrs. </bio>

You probably know people who have booked luxury vacations to places like Europe, Hawaii and the Caribbean at bargain prices. So how do they do it? They don't travel during high season. You can save more than $1500 by not traveling during the summer, spring break season or Christmas. Unfortunately, there are a lot of travelers who are forced to travel in this season because it is the only time they can get off of work, school or other important commitments. Here are a few tips to keep you from losing your money=85or your mind!

Avoid Traveling In June, July and August

Not surprisingly, these three months are the top travel months for luxury vacations. The kids are out of school, the weather is great and your work is giving you some needed R and R. But most countries in the world have vacation and school breaks during this time, so people all over the world want to get away. Airlines and hotels know this and charge outrageous prices for their seats and rooms. It is especially expensive in Europe, as Europeans have great weather and school breaks, and are willing to pay a premium to stay where they want. If there is any way for you to travel at a different time, do so. Putting your vacation off until September and October can easily save you thousands of dollars. Even May and April are cheaper than June and July.

Don't Travel Internationally

If you can only take your luxury travel vacation during high season, stay closer to home. There are probably more luxury deals available to travelers who maybe choose Las Vegas instead of the Dominican Republic, and Miami instead of Mexico. Your domestic flights will be hundreds of dollars cheaper than if you were to fly to other countries. Plus, hotels, cruise lines and travel agents have a number of local deals available to people interested in traveling within the states. From Hawaii to Alaska, there are a lot of exotic and adventurous things to see and experience here in the good old USA.

Budget Accordingly

If you are traveling in high season, don't expect to pay low season prices on luxury vacations. The prices you will find might be the highest you have ever seen because you had previously considered traveling during low season. Be ready to pay up to $1,500 per person for international air in coach class. Expect three star resorts and hotels in tourist areas to charge five star prices, and luxury hotels and resorts to go through the roof. One good suggestion is to book early to try to take advantage of early booking discounts.

Even luxury world cruises that begin in peak season are more expensive and more difficult to find availability. If you want to travel in high season, the key is to be flexible. Consider different dates, different destinations and different costs. Visit http://www.amtcruises.com for more luxury travel cruise informations. Book early and take advantage of early booking incentives. With these suggestions, you can get the best prices available for high season travel. <bio>Virginia Morgan is an expert travel writer for http://www.amttravel.com/ AMT American Express Travel.
Life insurance should be considered essential if you have a family and commitments, especially if you are the main provider. If you are the main provider and you should die then your family would not only have to cope with their grief, but also have to struggle to meet financial commitments with the loss of income. While life insurance is an added outgoing it can be worthwhile and if you go to a broker they will be able to find you the cheapest life insurance policy suitable for your needs.

Typically, he cheapest life insurance is what is called term life insurance. Term life insurance is taken out solely to pay out a lump sum of money should you die. This can be invaluable to your family and gives you the peace of mind that at least they wont be left struggling to make ends meet financially. It doesn't however pay out cash unless you die, but it is the cheapest and easiest to understand of all insurance policies. An online broker will be able to get you the cheapest and most comprehensive cover for a policy of this type.

Of course when taking out any form of life insurance you will need to know how much insurance you need, generally the amount that you should cover yourself for is around 6 times that of your annual income, or it should be enough to pay off your mortgage, plus a bit more. You should also take into account inflation and the needs of any children and they are growing. For example, if they wish to go to college or university then extra could be put aside to allow for this. Once your broker knows the figure to work from then he can look around on your behalf and find the cheapest life insurance that is most suited to your particular needs.

While going with a broker for your policy will ensure you always get the best deal you should also be aware of what the policy covers you for and what the exclusions are within it, again a broker can give advice on this. <bio>David Thomson is Chief Executive of BestDealInsurance (http://www.bestdealinsurance.co.uk) an independent specialist broker dedicated to providing their clients with the best deal on their home, motor and life insurance. </bio>

Travel insurance is a necessity if you plan to travel away from home. This is especially true if you plan to travel abroad. But not all travel insurance plans are created equally. There are different types of travel insurance and you need to be sure that you are making the purchase that best meets your needs.

One type of travel insurance is called annual travel insurance. It's not for everybody, but it can save you a lot of money if it meets your needs. Annual travel insurance is just like all other types of travel insurance except that it covers all of your travels for an entire year instead of only covering one trip. This type of insurance is perfect for people who travel several times throughout the year.

There are many benefits that come along with annual travel insurance. For starters, the premium for annual insurance is much lower than that of several single-trip insurance plans. There is also less hassle. You only have to purchase one plan instead of purchasing a plan each time you travel. All in all, annual travel insurance is a great deal if you do quite a bit of travelling.

There aren't many drawbacks associated with annual travel insurance, but there can be if you use it incorrectly. Insurance premiums are non-refundable, so you need to be sure that you will be travelling extensively throughout the year before you purchase an annual plan. Remember; annual insurance costs more than a single-trip plan. If you only plan to travel one or two times, it might be more economical to purchase single trip plans rather than take out an annual policy.

So, is annual travel insurance for you? Answer the following questions. If you answer yes to any of the questions, you should look into obtaining annual travel insurance.

• Do you take several, short family holidays throughout the year instead of one long holiday?

• Do you travel extensively with your job?

• Do you visit out-of-town friends and family often?

• Do you own a holiday home that you plan to spend a lot of time at?

• Do you have ageing or ill family members that might not be able to complete a short trip?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you should investigate annual travel insurance further. An annual policy may end up saving you money, but only if you spend a lot of time on the road. If you travel more than a handful of times each year, you should probably purchase annual insurance rather than trip insurance. However, if you only travel two to three times per year, you might want to compare prices before you make your final decision.

Travel insurance is a necessity, but you shouldn't have to pay a king's ransom to get it. Always purchase the best coverage you can get at the best possible price. Beware of cheap, skimpy policies. Always make sure that you know exactly what coverage you're getting for the price.<bio>Steven Clarke - Marketing Manager for www.mytravelinsurance.org.uk.
A cot is a piece of furniture that is used for babies, infants, campers and travelers. Baby cots are used for babies while travel cots and camping cots are for travelers and campers. Baby cots usually come with elevated sides to prevent the baby from falling from the cot. With a baby cot, you will also have to buy some cot baby bedding and a baby blanket for use in the cot.

If you intend to use the baby cot when traveling, it is better to use a baby travel cot. This is because these travel baby cots can be folded in seconds to be stored away in a carrying case. It is not always necessary to buy a travel baby cot as most hotels and B and Bs have baby cots for your use.

However, if you intend to use your own travel baby cot for your baby for sanitary reasons, mothers prefer sharing a common baby travel cot amongst them instead of individually investing in a baby travel cot. This is because mothers seldom travel regularly with babies; so investing in baby travel cots for occasional travel seems a waste.

Camping, or travel cots are naturally longer and stronger and meant for use by adults. Camping or tent cots are not that heavy and can be taken when camping, fishing or hunting. It can also be used as an extra bed at home for unexpected guests. Camping cots are made of rugged and heavy bound material that last a lifetime. Its tough steel legs and aluminum wall makes it possible to support a maximum of 350 pounds.

When buying travel cots, make sure that it is light, portable, convenient for storage and can easily be set up and dismantled. Today, some travel cots come with wheels for easy transportation. A piece of advice for camping cots; it is better to have some padding placed on the legs of the tent cot, so that its legs don't tear the tent when in use. <bio>Samantha Clark heads consumer reviews at http://www.dealsdepot.com.au One of the web's most popular Online Shopping sites. </bio>

Travelling and taking holidays can be a lot of fun, but it can also be scary. If something goes wrong, you may find yourself in a foreign land amongst foreign people with no idea where to turn for help. Travel insurance prevents this from happening by helping you through all of the unforeseen circumstances that may befall you on a trip. Travel insurance can help cover expenses if you become ill or injured, lose your luggage, have a car accident or have to change your plans due to weather or illness.

There are two basic types of travel insurance: annual travel insurance and single trip travel insurance. Annual travel insurance is purchased annually and covers all of your travels for the entire year. Single trip travel insurance is purchased at the beginning of each trip and is only good for that trip.

There are benefits and drawbacks associated with each type of travel insurance. The following two sections will address the pros and cons of each.

Pros and Cons of Annual Travel Insurance

When you purchase annual travel insurance, you pay a one-time fee. This fee covers the cost of the insurance for the whole year. If you travel a lot, this price is almost always less than you would pay for multiple single-trip policies. But the price for annual travel insurance is also more than you would pay for one or two single-trip policies. So you need to have a clear idea of how often you will use the insurance before you spend the money for it.

Annual travel insurance is ideal for people who travel a lot. Business professionals, people with family living abroad, and families with holiday homes usually benefit the most from such a policy. Students who have to travel back and forth from school may also benefit from this type of policy.

Pros and Cons of Single Trip Travel Insurance

Single trip travel insurance is the most cost effective way to purchase travel insurance if you only have need of it a couple of times a year. It is spontaneous. You can purchase travel insurance prior to any trip even if it is spur of the moment. It is also inexpensive. Single trip travel insurance normally costs about four to seven percent of the entire cost of any prepaid trip.

If you make a lot of spontaneous trips, however, you could end up spending more than you bargained for if you purchase a separate policy each time you leave town.

Both annual and single trip travel insurances offer the same coverage. The only real discrepancy between them is cost. Therefore, you need to choose the most cost effective way to purchase the insurance that best meets your needs. If you have any doubts, talk to a travel agent. They will be able to help you compare prices and coverage options. The most important thing is that you always travel while insured. You need to be prepared for everything that may happen.<bio>Steven Clarke - Marketing Manager for www.mytravelinsurance.org.uk.
Are you a budding travel photographer with all the required skills but not the time to travel to the locations to take those one in a million shots you've been dreaming of? You feel you are ready to take the leap and launch your photography career but can't afford to give up the 9 to 5 just yet? Odd as it may sound, shooting travel photography doesn't necessarily mean going anywhere.

I remember leaving regional Australia to live in London for a few years in my early twenties thinking I was finally moving to somewhere picturesque, somewhere interesting. Returning home a few years later I realized what I had left behind. My point is this: Every corner of the world is unique, even yours. Each country, state, or region carries its own set of characters, notable figures, culture and landscape. The challenge for the photographer is to find them to present to others.

Maybe you live in a city with a number of historical buildings, or near national parkland. Your town might host an annual carnival or event that is well known. Whatever your location or the size of your local area, there is bound to be something which interest people. Make it your goal to educate people about the place you come from, to show them why they should visit.

The great benefit to photographing subjects that are near to you is that you have the opportunity to revisit them as often as you need to get the results you are looking for. This can help relieve some of the pressure you may feel if you were spending a limited amount of time at a location. Here you are able to shoot in varying conditions and at varying times of day to capture the many moods of your subject. Spend a morning here, an afternoon there in between other commitments and before long you will come away with a comprehensive series of images depicting your subject in various light and shade.

To keep yourself enthusiastic about your subject, you might want to shoot two or maybe three projects at a time. Spend a Saturday afternoon shooting your local town's attractions and people, and next weekend drive into the nearest city to shoot architecture and caf=E9 culture.

But how do you choose projects that will assist in creating strong saleable images? Search stock photography agencies, look through travel magazines and newspapers. What you see everyday is what sells. The key is to plan what you are going to shoot. Although we are all guided by weather conditions, it is possible to select the images you want before you arrive at your location. I rarely arrive without at least a few images mapped out in my head, and never without a shoot list.

As travel photographers, it goes without saying that we have a passion for travel. It's why we do what we do. But it is an extremely difficult business to get into. The catch 22 is that to produce a portfolio or stock image library you need time and money. To fund your photography you need to work. It will take time and dedication, but by shooting close to home you will gradually improve your photography skills and start to build a portfolio of images to be proud of. It all comes down to the way we view our surroundings. <bio>Mark Eden is a freelance photographer and the founder and director of Expanse Photography.
Many people today are traveling for vacations or business. Any time you travel, things can happen. Life has a way of intervening at any given time. You can need a prescription filled while on a vacation or (God forbid) even need surgery. When you are traveling during hurricane season, you may need to be evacuated. Alternatively, perhaps your trip may be delayed for some reason. Each of these is an excellent reason to invest in travel insurance.

Travel insurance is protection for you as you travel. It will help cover medical expenses and other expenses that you may discover unexpected as you take a trip somewhere.

You can easily arrange for travel insurance when you book your trip through your travel agent. They will be happy to help arrange travel insurance for you. It is important to go over the "fine print" and make sure the policy you are purchasing covers exactly what you think you might deal with.

We cannot always plan for everything, but it is very useful to help protect one's self from potential disaster, injury or even frustration. Travel insurance is especially helpful when you are traveling internationally. When you have medical problems, your travel insurance will help you if you need a prescription or become ill in some way. Sometimes just knowing that your medical expenses would be taken care of is a tremendous peace of mind for so many of us. This can help you to travel in a relaxed attitude, knowing that everything is managed for you.

Travel insurance is also helpful to protect yourself in terms of your flight arrangements. Your travel insurances protects you from cancellation or even just a delayed departure. Having travel insurance insures that other arrangements will be made for you easily. By having travel insurance the company that provides the travel insurance will help make alternative arrangements for you. Be sure to read the "fine print" to understand exactly what type of arrangements they are legally bound to make for you, because those are the type of arrangements they will make if this circumstance arises.

Having travel insurance can also cover something we don't like to think about, especially while traveling for business or pleasure: death. Travel insurance would even help to cover international funeral expenses if this was necessary. Accidents or other things do happen. Knowing that arrangements would be managed can offer tremendous peace of mind to many that purchase travel insurance.

Often travel insurance is not very expensive. Policies do vary and not every traveler needs every policy that is out there. There are many different types of travel insurance available today. There is even honeymoon insurance, to protect and insure one's honeymoon! Certainly, there is a type of travel insurance that will more than satisfy you and give you tremendous peace of mind. Having insurance is so helpful for those things we don't like to think about. Traveling can be stressful at times; having travel insurances makes it so much less so.<bio>Don't even think about going on holiday without Travel Insurance.
With so many destinations to go to, it's important to plan accordingly. A travel agent will be able to acquire your tickets, hotel reservations, car rental, and activities all at once, saving you time, and thus, money. Booking a vacation can be a lot of trouble for just one person, but with a qualified travel agent, it's easy! Of course, like vacations themselves not all travel agents are created equal so you will want to shop around for the best one.

1. The Benefits Of A Travel Agent

Don't miss out on all that a vacation has to offer! A travel agent will be experienced with the top destinations at your travel area and be able to provide you with recommendations for where to go. As an industry insider, they can get special deals that you would not be able to acquire. You might pay a little bit more for this service, but overall you will save.

2. Do Your Research

Doing your homework doesn't have to take a lot of time. The best way to find a good travel agent is to do your research. You can talk to friends and family members who have used travel agents in the past. You can also use the internet to try to find the best agency or agent in your area. In some cases you will be able to read testimonials from other customers who have used a certain agency. Try searching for message boards that might give you some insight to good travel agents in your area. It is important to find a travel agent who understands your personal needs and desires when it comes to the type of vacation you are looking for. There are countless agencies that are available online as well where it is easy to select what kind of ammentities you are looking for.

3. Make Sure They Are Licenced

A licenced travel agent will be a member of the ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents). Membership in the American Society of Travel Agents allows travel agents to work with other members to get the best deals and rates for you. Membership also requires certain qualifications so by finding a travel agency that is part of the Society ensures that you will be getting excellent service. Of course, it is perfectly acceptable to ask questions in order to determine if a travel agent is right for you. Questions such as, How long have you been in the travel business?, can be helpful in giving you a better idea of your travel agents background. You might even want to ask your travel agent for references.

4. Your Vacation Package

Putting together your vacation package just got easier with a travel agent. They will be able to interact with you and help you choose what features of your vacation you want to splurge on and what features you can skimp on. Don't need a luxury car, but want a great hotel? Done and done. Perhaps you want a tour included and thus won't need a car at all. Of course, your travel agent is unlikely to make any final decisions before consulting with you first. It is your vacation and therefore you should have the final say on everything planned. This is why it is important that you make yourself accessible to your travel agent. <bio>For more great travel agent related articles and resources check out http://travelinformer.info </bio>

When you are trying to plan a vacation it can often be extremely stressful and there is usually always something which you have forgotten. You need to book the hotel, the accommodation, the flights, a hire car if needed and you also need to know what you are going to do and where you are going to go whilst you are there. It really is a demanding task and that is why many people choose to get the help from travel agents.

However, finding the right travel agency to suit your needs can often be a nightmare. So just how do you find the right travel agent to suit you?

Choosing a Good Travel Agent

The main reason why people choose to use travel agents is because it is easier than planning everything yourself. However there are other benefits that come with using a travel agent and one of those includes that they often know what deals are available at the time. They can plan things for you which you didn't even know existed. They can also get you cheap flights and other cheap deals too. So, if you want to really enjoy your holiday, it may be advisable to go with a travel agent to see what they suggest.

The only way to really find the best travel agents for you is to do your research. You will need to compare a number of different companies and perhaps ask friends and family who they used for their holidays. The internet is also a good tool to use to find all of the travel agents in your area. Ideally the right travel agent will attempt to get to know you, your needs and what you are looking for in the perfect holiday.

Another point to consider is whether the travel agent is a member of the American Society of Travel Agents. This is basically a society which has airlines, cruise lines, hotels and travel agents in it and they can offer you exclusive deals. They also need to be well qualified and so you know that by choosing a travel agent in the society you will be getting the best service possible.

If you are still unsure about a travel agency then feel free to ask them as many questions as you like.
