The easiest way to acquire an email list for your ezine or email marketing is just to buy one. They're not too expensive, and they provide you with a long list of names and email addresses.

But if there is one thing I've learned as the owner of an ezine, it is that the easy road is not always the one that brings you the best results. The problem with buying an email list is that none of the people on that list know who you are. When they receive an email from you, most likely they will just delete it without bothering to open it.

That is why it is so beneficial to build your own opt-in email list. Yes, creating a list from scratch is the more difficult and time-consuming solution, but at least it is a solution. Email lists rarely bring the desired results, so the money you spend on them might as well be flushed down the toilet.

Email marketing and ezine distribution isn't about blasting a bunch of strangers with sales pitches and information they don't want and didn't ask for. If you really want to achieve results with your email list, you need to build your own.

Here is a list of questions you need to ask yourself when building your email list:

Who is your target audience and what do you have to offer them? What kind of relationship do you want with the recipients of your emailings? What method or methods will you use to collect email addresses? Web forms, registration or subscription forms, trade shows, telephone contacts and sales calls are all viable ways to get the email addresses of people who will be interested in what you have to offer.

Will your emails come in the form of ads, newsletters, deals and specials, company announcements and press releases, or discussion lists?

Will you handle the creative aspects of your mailings, such as copywriting and editing, or will you need a little help? Once you're ready to start building your list, use outside lists to help you get started. You can recruit opt-in list members by renting an opt-in list to send out an announcement. You could also try taking out an ad in a targeted email newsletter or discussion list <bio>Mohamed Rabea - Build Your Own Adsense Empire For Free. http://www.webempirelive.com </bio>

I've been involved in online marketing for many years now. Since I'm fairly successful at what I do, a lot of friends (and even a few strangers) have asked me for some advice about how they can make their online MLM venture work. I usually tell them that it doesn't matter what kind of product they have because the real key to increasing sales (and, therefore, the bottom line) is to increase the size of their salesforce. In other words, they have to know where to find business opportunity seekers who are ready to make money.

The good news is the fact that there's no shortage of business opportunity seekers out there. That's because everyone has heard by now that there is very good money to be made on the Internet and they want to take a piece of the pie. The bad news is that not every business opportunity seeker is right for your project. Instead of wasting time and money on a extensive advertising attack that mostly reaches people who have no meaning of following up on your offer, you should limit your ads to a select group of business opportunity seekers who are truly interested in your sales pitch.

That sounds easy enough. But how are you supposed to find these business opportunity seekers in order to get your message out to them. The best way to do so is to purchase a few hot mailing lists from upright sources. These mailing lists contain hundreds of names and email addresses of business opportunity seekers looking to join lawful operations like yours.

These are people who freely submitted their contact information and are waiting to hear from you. That's what makes targeted mailing lists much more valuable than general lists. You won't have to worry that the people you contact via targeted mailing lists might view your pitch as spam. Your emails will only go out to a captive audience of excited prospects.

I will offer you one caution here. Prior to purchasing a mailing list of business opportunity seekers, be sure to check into the seller's status. The last thing you want to do is spend good money on a list that contains stale names or invalid email addresses.

So if you're ready to expand your salesforce or pitch your products and services to targeted business opportunity seekers, then I suggest that you consider purchasing some MLM mailing lists. You'll be amazed at how much easier it is to close sales when your prospects actually want to hear from you. <bio>Get the latest articles and resources on how to http://www.articledirectoryzone.com/earn-extra-money.html as well as home business online. </bio>

Are you wondering how spammers get your email address? There are a few tricks they have for getting your address and once you see them you will see how important it is to protect your 'real' address and only give it to family, friends, and work contacts.

Is your email address publicly readable on the internet somewhere? That is; do you have a website that your email address is on or have you posted it on forums? If you are not sure, then enter your email address in Google's search engine or MSN and see what pops up. If your email doesn't turn up, it doesn't mean you are totally off the hook, but you are better off than someone who's email address is plastered all over the net. Spammers set lose software programs that go out and harvest email addresses automatically. So if you ever do need to put your email address on the net be sure to do it in a way that foils the spammers such as 'email at domain dot com', instead of email@domain.com.This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

If you sign up for mailing lists where your email address is publicly available, then use a throw away email address so if spam gets out of control you can always delete it and move on. Mailing lists and newsgroups are favorite places for spammers to harvest for email addresses.

Another way for spammers to get your email address is if you use it to register for freebie offers online. A common tactic it to offer a chance at a freebie in exchange for your email address. Your email address is then sold to spammers as a fresh target.

By signing up for free offers and such it is likely you also sign up for more email than you bargained for and even though you don't want it, it technically isn't spam. There may be small print at the bottom of the form you are filling out which states you will also receive offers from partners.

In the end, if you use your email address at all then there is a chance someone will get a hold of it that will spam you. The way to minimize your risk is to reserve a special email account for those people important to you and use another email address to sign up for freebies and mailing lists. <bio>Daniel Travers is a staff writer at http://www.computing-times.com and is an occasional contributor to several other websites, including http://www.gamesenthusiast.com. </bio>

Are opt in email marketing lists optional for your online business?

Sure, if you enjoy running an online business which is draining your financial resources instead of replenishing them, as online businesses are meant to do. No matter what you've heard, email is THE marketing tool of the 21st century, but only if the emails you are sending are going to people who really want to receive them.

Targeted marketing from opt in email marketing lists is your best chance of bringing traffic to you sites and bringing cash to your bank account.

But if you want to build really effective opt in marketing email lists, you'll need a strategy. There are some steps you should implement right from the start, so that you get your opt in email marketing lists functional ASAP.

Know Your List Members

* Decide exactly what you need to know about your opt in list members, as far as making your site sales more lucrative, and think of a way to solicit that information, and only that information.

Of course you'll need their opt in and their email addresses, but if you have resale rights on software or an ebook related to your site's business, how about offering it free to those who are willing to provide a more in-depth profile?

Keep Your Information Current

* Every time you make a sale to someone on your opt in email marketing lists, send a thank you and ask for feedback, or ask them to update their profile. Your opt in customers are your best resource for knowing how to improve your site.

Make Suggested Changes

* If the members of your opt in email marketing lists offer worthwhile input concerning changes they like to see in your site's services, and you see the market value of making them, do so and notify your list members. It's a great way of building trust, and with trust comes repeat business.

Find Other Ways To Solicit Opt Ins

* Set up a business related newsletter and offer it to those who those who opt in to your lists. Make sure the content is well-written and relevant, and think about including a place where readers can respond. Building community is another great way to keep your customers both coming back, and spreading the word!

* If your online businesses are backed by a brick and mortar business, advertise your websites on the premises, at the registers, and have sign-up forms handy so that interested people can provide their names and e-mails.

If you send out flyers or coupons via snail mail, ditto on the signup form, and how about offering a special discount, or free shipping, on a particular item for those who opt in and make an online purchase?

Trust Is The Key

* So many people have been burned by so much spam that you must absolutely promise, and ensure that your opt in email marketing lists will remain confidential. Keep you opt in process simple, and keep it private.

As your reputation among your subscribers grows, you'll be able to ask for more information, as long as you do it only to improve your site's performance. <bio>Author: Matt Garrett =A9 2007 http://www.Mat4.com | 4 Minute Internet Marketing Videos Grab Your Free Article Site Building tool, Blog Commenting Software and 90 Page SEO Book Now!! http://www.mat4.com/newsletter.html </bio>

Email marketing is comprised of two major parts: the email itself and the email marketing list (also known as the contact list). This list is the very core of every email marketing campaign, as well as the reason why you are email marketing at all. Without this list of people, all who should have given you permission to email them, you have no reason whatsoever to indulge in email marketing to promote your business, goods or services. Here are three questions most email marketers must ask when they're just starting out:

Where can I get my email list?

Before I go into where you can get your list, it's better to discuss where you shouldn't get your list first. Buying, renting or scraping email addresses off the Internet are all terrible ideas. Why? Because those people haven't given you permission to email them. The quickest way to lampoon your email marketing campaign is to obtain a list that includes wrong email addresses and people who haven't given you permission. This results in spam complaints that will ultimately ruin your email marketing reputation.

There are many creative, effective ways to build an email list. Your first shot is putting a ListBuilder (also known as a sign-up box) on every single page of your Website. Site visitors can use this box to enter info and subscribe your email or newsletter. You can also build subscriptions by providing email address cards at your shop, tradeshows and other venues. If you are creative and ambitious about growing a permission-based email list, you can do these things and you'll see your list grow.

What should I do with that list once I have it?

Your next step is to segment your list, if possible. Try and divide up the names and email addresses on that list by product likes and dislikes, geographical location and other data. By doing this, you're dividing your list up and making it more targeted. Sending an email that canvasses everyone on your list may work, but you'll most likely have better luck sending different emails that promote the products certain customers have already show they're interested in.

How do I choose an email marketing service?

If you're not sure where to start, go online and find which service you like best. The best email marketing services have sophisticated list management systems that not only let you segment your list and upload it to the system, but store your lists online and access them 24/7. The advantage of a Web-based email marketing suite is that you can pay a low monthly fee to use the service and you can access it anywhere in the world, as long as you have Internet access. The best email marketing services also include reporting suites that can tell, in real time, just how successful your email marketing campaigns are with recipients.

As an email marketer, remember that email marketing requires lots of patience, planning and creativity. However, if you build a great list and manage it accordingly, you'll gain more sales and respect from your email or newsletter recipients. <bio>Gary San is a best practices activist and advocate for Benchmark Email ( http://www.benchmarkemail.com/email-marketing.aspx ), a leading Web and permission-based email marketing service. </bio>

Have a Mailing List of Your Own

No matter what type of email you send out, you'll need a mailing list. The basic way to build a mailing list is by capturing name and email address information for everyone who buys or shows interest in your product. This can be accomplished by using a list manager on your site. List managers also provide the HTML coding for the form on the Gateway pages. A list manager collects the email addresses that are gathered with the form. Thus, your email list is collected. This might take some time so there are methods to use until you get your own email list built.

Three ways to build a list

1. One way to build a mailing list is to do ad swaps with other list owners. The way this works is, you (as company A) have an email list that you send newsletters to and another list owner (company B) has a list they send newsletters to. Company A and Company B place ads on one another's mailing lists. Each of you is promoting the other's list.

2. You can rent or buy targeted email lists. The list you develop using your own customers' names is called your "house list." Of course, when you're first starting out, your house list is likely to be skimpy. To augment it, one way to go is rent or buy a mailing list. There are two ways to buy or rent a mailing list=97approaching the company you want to rent from directly or using a list broker. Any company that emails information to its customers usually has a list manager, who handles inquiries and orders for the mailing list.

3. Another way to build an email list is to list your newsletter in all of the ezine directories.

Conclusion.

A list manager collects the email addresses that are gathered with the forms. Thus, your email list is collected. An email list that YOU COLLECT YOURSELF is worth its weight in gold

All the best, Jos van Helvoirt <bio>Jos van Helvoirt is owner of The Dutch MoneyMaker, writes on a variety of subjects about homebusiness.
Email marketing can be very important for cashflow into your business. Email marketing, if done correctly, can create immediate results; produce sales within minutes, and over time create brand recognition, product consciousness and augment web site traffic. Email marketing is regarded as one of the most effective methods in present times to endorse your products. Email marketing needs much less effort as compared to any other strategy of Internet marketing

Before starting with email marketing, decide what your target market wants from you. This perception makes it easy to plan your email marketing campaign.

In order to make a nice profit with email marketing, it is important that you have large emailing lists. The email lists consists of people who presently are your consumers or have a probability of turning into consumers. Email capturing may be a difficult task. The best type of email marketing that adds profit is the targeted email marketing. The emails that target the right consumers are very effective in increasing profits. Your best email list is your consumer list. The next best list is your own "inbound prospective consumer list:" the group of people who have articulated a concern in you. You can also think of trying an "endorsed list," for example, an organization that has agreed to give you authorization to send a value added message to their associates. You can use rented or purchased list but use lists not build by yourself with great caution. Also do not "spam" which means sending unauthorized mails. The broadcast mailing of unwanted email can result in the loss of your Internet presence.

Writing emails for the email marketing campaign is also an art. Make sure that emails you write are impressive as well as appealing for the people who read them. The emails should be able to describe your products effectively and efficiently. It is important that you use a compelling headline with an impressive subject line. When addressing people you already know or are your existing clients, you can use conversational tone ("Hello Mike") and bulleted points can be used to catch attention for points that are of great importance regarding your product. Inserting phrases of legitimate urgency can be helpful. Give them a compelling reason to get in touch with you. You may add limited time offers such as discounts or promotions in your emails.

The emails that you send to your targeted consumers should be designed according to all type of email readers. There are people who read the emails using the preview pan. There are people who do not view images in the emails or in other words block the images in emails. There are people who use hand held devices to read emails. You emails should be designed on such way so that they present your product details in all possible circumstances and ways. All this will make your email marketing campaign more profitable.

Email marketing can also prove to be a source of traffic to your web site and result in increase of revenue. Make sure that the emails that send under the email marketing strategy have a link back to your web site in message footer. <bio>Roger McLean is marketing executive of http://MojoScripts.com, a Tela IT Inc property.
Have you ever measured what response rate you get from your email campaigns? Didn't you notice that a small mailing list can give you a high response and a huge list can get a very, very low response rate? That is because it's not the number of emails on your list but the quality of the list that does really matter.

Although sending out magazines and newsletters to millions of addresses through bulk email software is free, you cannot afford to risk your fair name by offending people. Your email address lists should only contain those that signify they want to receive email from you. Otherwise, your unsolicited advertising will be classified as spam mail. Plus, the cleaner your list is, more profits you will get.

Here are some tips how to maintain your mailing list clean and up-to-date:

1. Verify your targeted email list for bad and undeliverable email addresses before you send to it. You can use email validation software to do a list check. You can just search the Internet for an email address verifier tool to choose the one that suits your needs best.

2. Exclude bad email addresses from your list.

3. Manage bounces thoroughly. Not all bounced emails should be deleted from your list. Delete hard bounces. Hard bounce is when recipient mail server rejects your email. Soft bounce is when your email accepted by recipient's mail server but bounced back because of reasons like mail box is full, your message is large than receiving mail server upper limit etc. Try to send the messages a few times to soft bounced email addresses before you delete them. There is chance that the message will be delivered after several attempts.

4. Use double opt-in subscription method. This way you can make sure that the email address is valid and that the subscriber really wants to receive mail from you.

5. Delete unsubscribers. Always provide an easy way to unsubscribe. Before sending an email campaign, do a search for people who unsubscribed and delete them from your database.

6. Provide an option for subscribers to change their email address. Some list management software or services provide a link to your subscriber details and lists he opted for. From there your subscribers can change their email addresses and update their profiles.

7. Don't buy email lists. Most email addresses on those lists are collected by website email extractors and belong to people who didn't hear about you and don't expect any mail from you.

8. Avoid spelling errors. If you manually import your subscribers from your old list manager to the new one or from your helpdesk to your mailing list manager etc, be careful to type the email addresses in the right way.

9. Try to avoid free email accounts. It's a little hard to do though because nowadays people often use a free email account like hotmail.com, yahoo.com although they have their own domains. This is because they don't want to reveal themselves or they might be afraid that the owner of the list might send junk or spam to them. <bio>Author is a technical expert associated with development of email marketing program: http://www.glocksoft.com/amlv/.
Pumped up and ready to go. With the phone firmly clutched in my hand and the script in front of me, I was ready to go out and conquer the world of telemarketing. My first foray into telemarketing at home began with a gung-ho attitude, but slowly fizzled into a defeated slump at the end of the week.

What did I do wrong?

I had everything set up. I had a perfectly written script. Hands on knowledge about the various products I was touting. I also had a sharp mind and a sharper tongue. I had heard stories of friends earning great amounts of cash doing the same thing huddled in their converted living room offices. But things weren't turning out quite like I had expected.

I made the same mistake as anyone else who wanted to start telemarketing at home as a viable alternative to an offline real world job. 50% of your success depends entirely and some may argue, totally, on the type and quality of marketing lists that you have.

Let's face it, companies get lists from tired marketing managers and business developers who collect an unfocused database, dumping as many names as they could possible in their bid for a quantifiable outcome to their day's hard work. So you -- the end user -- the hopeful telemarketer, gets saddled with something that is doomed to fail as expected from the start.

So what should you do? Build up your own lists based on your acumen and market know-how? That may be possible, but that will take you a long time and will require spending resources that will cut into to a profit margin that is questionable to begin with. You are working at home to get money, not spend it, or waste your time chasing dead ends for a corporation who isn't willing to pay for it.

My advice would be to get qualified lists. High quality and targeted marketing lists are available on the internet. They come from professional organisations that compile these lists from a marketing viewpoint, dissecting attitudes and other factors that may determine potential purchasing decisions. These lists are specifically for direct mailing and telemarketing, tailored to different ranges of products and services.

Where to start? I understand that there are many websites out there that offer these sorts of services, but be wary of those who tout databases for email marketing. It will get you nowhere fast. There are plenty of sites offering telemarketing lists that can provide you valuable advice on telemarketing, as well as how you can best make use of a calling list. Generally, it's a good idea to start at a place that already has a collection of valuable and highly targeted lists for telemarketing at home. Don't worry about investing a little money for a quality list -- you'll have a lot more to gain compared to free lists or lists of inferior quality.

Start telemarketing at home with a quality, highly targeted marketing list and it will bring you places.
If you're new to online marketing, you may be unaware of a one important fact--everyone is out to get your email address.Yep. It's true. You've heard, "The Money Is In the List," right? Well, how do you think people get lists?

But be careful.

Some people are greedy and get your email address again and again and keep sending those infernal emails about this, that, or the other thing, day after day, to every email account you own. It really gets obnoxious!

As one who would love to have your email address, too, I now have to tell you how you undoubtedly became part of a list--Lead Capture.

If you've never heard the term, you may have heard "squeeze page," and most of these pages work the same way.

A lead capture or squeeze page will have some text and graphics and one thing is always the same--the box for your name and email. Some are more elaborate and ask for your home address, your telephone number, and so on.

Any lead capture page should explain why you might want to relinquish your information and that the person/company collecting the information promises not to share it with anyone for any reason. If you're going to give your information up, these factors are requirements, not options!

When you're surfing and see a page with just a "Please Sign Up Here" and the boxes, with no information regarding the site's privacy policy or what you're signing up for--BEWARE!

You can be put on oh so many lists! Mailing lists, calling lists, and who knows what other kinds of lists. And don't forget, if you're someone who hates telemarketing calls, that by giving the information, you've rescinded your Do Not Call status in the U.S. from that particular marketer, and if the company sells or rents your phone number, well... you may have given up a lot more.

It's OK to give your information if you a) know what you're getting in return, b) know that the offer comes from a reliable source, and c) you know what will happen to your information once you provide it. The watchword online is prudence.! <bio>Pat Marcello never abuses her list members at OVMarketing One-Tip News http://ovweb.net/brickwall.htm, and always lets people know she will not divulge their information to anyone for any reason, period. </bio>

The internet has changed the world. Internet access has put so many conveniences at our fingertips. With the click of a mouse one can buy a range of different products. This has given rise to online marketing. There is a huge market online waiting to be tapped. There are a number of ways to tap this market. One cheap and efficient way of doing this is through bulk email lists. Always remember to verify bulk email lists.

Errors In Bulk Email Lists

Bulk email lists are a list of a number of potential clients which is stored somewhere. Sometimes these bulk email lists are correct and sometimes there are errors in the email addresses. For example digger!yummy.com or digger@yummy.con are two instances of errors in writing the email address. Some of these erroneous addresses get added to our lists as well. In such instances mailings to there addresses "bounce."

Types Of Email Bounces

There are two types of email bounces.

The hard bounce -- These are messages that can never be delivered. Sometimes there is an input error when the subscriber is opting into your list. Messages to such email boxes never reach. Sometimes the subscriber is no longer using the email address with which they opted into your list.

The soft bounce -- These are messages that can be delivered at a later time. They are caused by the recipient's mailbox being full.

It is a good idea to unsubscribe hard and soft bounces from the mailing list after a set number of bounces. It is a good idea to keep the toleration limit for hard bounces as two and soft bounces as eight. After this number of bounces, you must clean up the addresses that are bouncing.

There are reasons that bouncing emails must be deleted. If they are not, you waste a lot of time going through emails that are bounces. It is a waste of valuable time.

Another reason is that you can get into real trouble if not deleting "bounce" emails. This is one way to identify spammers. If repeatedly sending messages to a "dead" email id, you could have a problem with the ISP that is receiving those messages. These are the reasons that it is important to verify bulk email lists.

Managing Subscribe And Unsubscribe Requests

It is essential to manage all unsubscribe as well as subscribe requests. This is especially important if your users are not automatically subscribed or unsubscribed. If unsubscribe requests are not immediately dealt with your mail may be treated as spam. You may find yourself in trouble with your ISP. On the other hand, all subscribe requests are potential customers and must be added to your mailing list immediately. Verify bulk email lists regularly for this reason.

Remove Duplicated Addresses

Remove addresses that have been inadvertently duplicated. Doing this ensures that your mails are not sent to the same prospect twice. This can be very irritating for a prospect.

Segment Your Subscribers

When you verify bulk email lists remember to segment your subscribers. Personalize your message to each one of them. You will be surprised at the difference in response using this method.

Email marketing is the wave of the future. When dealing with the various issues involved in it, remember to stay current by verifying bulk email lists. Stay on top! <bio>Author is a technical expert associated with development of the email verifier program. You can http://www.glocksoft.com/amlv/ This program will help you clean your databases and email lists from bounced and undeliverable emails. </bio>

With any direct campaign the data is the key to the campaign success. Even more problematic, if you don't have data, how can you run a campaign? No data, no campaign.

Without doubt the best quality data is your own carefully collected permission data from subscribes to your services, newsletter and customers who have opted-in.

But what if you want to extend your reach beyond this group? There are plenty of list brokers out there, just try a search. Unfortunately there is also plenty of poor quality data, that could give you a bad reputation or appear cheap and end up giving no results, no ROI.

So when you're buying data make sure it's the best available and fit for purpose.

The first rule about buying data can be just as easily applied to purchasing a second hand car. Be prepared to pay good money and go to a trusted / recommended source. And as with a car, check out the specs carefully before you buy.

Ideally you want to buy a very specific segment of data so the email you send can be targeted - rather than opting for a scatter gun effect. What are your criteria - income band, geographic area, couples, singletons...? The more targeted the better.

Then think quality not quantity. Your data provider should answer your questions relating to the data's origin, its age and how it was collected.

Also check the terms and condition of the purchase, not only in terms of how and how often you can use the data but what comebacks you have if you get high bounce rates, or a lot of spam complaints from the list you've bought in. If you're not using a email marketing solution that provides spam complaint statistics then start doing so, this is fundamental to knowing if you are harming your reputation.

Once you're happy with the data you're buying make maximum use of it: for example, by encouraging names to opt in to your in-house list. Getting them to subscribe to your regular e-newsletter is a useful hook for this. And make sure the mail you send is as relevant as it can be to the recipient by utilizing things like job titles (if known) as well as names.

When you use your data, extract every last ounce of benefit from it, not only in terms of what you want recipients of your emails to do (actions) but the information you can gather, such as what links they click on and where they go on your website. Then feed information back into sales process with CRM integration, triggered emails and online reports. <bio>Tim Watson is the Operations Director of Email Reaction.
Many people think that email marketing has lost its power due to the new laws. However, the new laws have actually helped those with newsletters and those using email marketing. It has forced publishers to write quality newsletters and to treat their subscribers with the respect that is due to them. Before the laws were in place, there were many publications that were just advertising machines and much of the sales copy was of poor standard.

Now publishers and businesses are realizing the true value of their subscribers and treating them like the VIP's they are. This means that email marketing is of better quality and more effective. Visitors can subscribe to newsletters with confidence that they will not be bombarded with advertisements as soon as they sign up. You will get more website sign ups and a better open rate for your newsletters.

The only problem now is the vast amount of email filters that sometimes eat up your important mail to your subscribers. It is important to alert your subscribers in your initial welcome or confirmation email, and give them instructions on how to white list your mail. It is also vital to your email marketing campaigns to have a good reliable auto-responder, which is user friendly. Use good subject lines that will encourage readers to open your mail and will not be caught by the spam filters.

List building: using good methods of list building is the key to your success with email marketing. It is critical that you gather highly targeted subscribers to your opt-in lists. Use methods that will help you pinpoint your special niche market so that you can ensure the best possible open rate and response from your list.

3 Methods of email marketing:

1. Newsletter: Your free newsletter is your most powerful form of email marketing. It will achieve a few things. One, it enables you to build a large responsive opt-in list. Secondly, it will allow you to develop a strong business relationship with your subscribers. Thirdly, it will allow you to build other important and profitable business opt-in lists.

2. Mailers: mailers are a very profitable and easy way to automate your income. You set up an auto-responder sequence on your auto-responder. The intervals between mailings will be up to you, depending on what, to whom, and who you are promoting. You can use this for a new product, backend selling, or pre-selling information. The mailer can be directed at leads that ask for more information or old customers.

3. Announcement lists: You can make multiple lists for different purposes. One of the most fun and profitable is an announcement list. Some of your subscribers will be actively searching for new products and this list is a tailor made for them. This list will alert subscribers about any new product you are promoting, and of course, to sweeten the pie- a special discount just for them.

Email marketing is still a great way to market. You just need to take advantage of the new technology that helps you to get your mail past the spam filters. One word of warning, never send email to those who are not on your opt-in-list. This is labeled spam and can get you into a whole lot of trouble. Plus, it will ruin your reputation as a business person. <bio>Zach Thompson is a Glyconutrients Representative.
Starting out in the competitive world of Internet business can be confusing and draining to someone new to the online marketing. There is a lot of advertising that tells how easy this business is but that is not true. Just like in any other business, you must work your tail off to be successful. Despite all of the hype about making easy money online, you must be willing to spend time everyday growing your business and promoting it to a targeted audience.

Starting in a niche that is less competitive will help in your online success. It really helps if you have a passion for the niche that you choose. As someone new to Internet business, if you should choose a subject that you lack interest in or are in just "for the money" then you probably will not work as hard. It is easy to find other things to do when you do not feel the fire to succeed at what you are doing. This does not hold true for the "gurus" of the business as they have their own personal formulas for success and can find a way to make a niche website of any subject successful.

When setting up your niche site always remember to have an autoresponder to collect email addresses and to automatically email your new lists of customers regularly. Building your customer list is as easy as simply offering something for free if they just send their name and email address. Giving away a series of free reports or subscription to a weekly newsletter usually does the trick. Just be sure that the giveaway is something of quality information so that your customer will learn to develop trust in you. Maybe you have a free downloadable e-book to give them to help build their own business.

Once you are up and running, promoting your Internet business website to the world should be your main objective. Besides low cost advertising such as forum posting and article marketing, you should consider PPC (pay-per-click) advertising to get customers to your business site who really want what you have to offer. These customers are referred to as "targeted" traffic. Targeted traffic will build your email lists and buy your products. You should value these people as if they are gold for they will be the backbone of your business for years to come.

Starting your own home Internet business can be quite a bit of work. Your first niche site will probably be the toughest but you will learn enough to make building more sites easier and easier. Experience is something that is valued in business and those get lucky at their first attempt are just plain lucky. There is a learning curve. Taking your time and learning how to do it correctly is the best way to ensure that you will turn a profit consistently. Just remember that you cannot succeed if you are a quitter. <bio>Randy Powell is a home business operator who feels that anyone can build a successful business online.
One of the most difficult things for network marketers is to increase your targeted website traffic. There are many ways to do this including paid advertising which does work. If you are just beginning, you may not want to try this as you still need to test whether your lead capture pages and sales pages convert.

Many internet Marketers Fail Online Because they Do not Know How Or What To Do To create the targeted website Traffic Needed To Make Their Site Successful. This article discusses seven proven methods that will help you increase your targeted website traffic.

1. Article Marketing

A guaranteed way to increase your targeted website traffic is to write original and keyword optimized articles for your web visitors. Article marketing, as it is called, will bring you repeated targeted website traffic that already wants to know more about your products and services.

There are several ways you can promote your articles:

* submit them to major article directories such as ezinearticles.com,goarticles.com and article dashboard

* Use an article submission service such as isnare or article marketer

* Use a semi-automated article submitter such as Article submitter Pro or Instant Article Submitter

* Trade your articles directly with other webmasters.

2. Blogging

Frequently posting original useful content to a personal blog will also help you increase your targeted website traffic.

The articles you post on your blog can have links back to your other websites which are called back links. These back links help improve Page Rank in Google.

3. Classifieds

* Craigslist * US Free Ads * eBay

4. Linking

Not all links are created equal. There are many methods to get incoming links. First you should submit your site to all of the directories in your subject area. Second, look for similar, but non-competing sites that you can trade links with. Many sites have automatic linking software that will look for a backlink and then add you automatically. Linking with similar websites will also increase your targeted website traffic.

Other ways to increase your links include:

* Link Exchange Services (such as Link Vault or Link Metro)

* Purchase Links (from webmasters or a link broker) * Lists * Co-Registration Lists * Joint Venture (other marketer's email lists) * Opt-in List (requires you to build your own list first=85) * Safe Lists

5. Advertising

* Ezine Advertising (advertise in various newsletters) * Pay-Per-Click (such as Google, YPN, MSN Adcenter etc.) * Offline Advertising (flyers, direct mail etc.)

6. Social Media

# Social Bookmarking

* Social Multi-Media Networks * Podcasts (publish your own podcasts) * YouTube * Google Video

# Social Networks

* Squidoo * MySpace * AdlandPro * Direct Matches

# Social Voting

* Digg * Reddit * Netscape

7. Forums

Forums are an excellent way to increase your targeted website traffic As you respond and start topics in forums, you become familiar and trusted. Never blatantly advertise your products. Most forums allow a signature which is a space under your posts where you can place links to your websites.

Consistently using these methods will help you increase your targeted website traffic. The internet marketer with the mostlinks and targeted website traffic wins. <bio>Jon Roussel is a successful internet marketer in Beverly, MA He helps people succeed with a home based business that will generate a long term reliable leveraged residual income.
Email advertising has become a very popular way to get your offer out and viewed by millions. It is a very cheap form of advertising and can be highly effective because most of the time the people that see your offer have either opted-in to view offers like yours or they have no interest but then become interested when they view your offer. Email advertising is fast and efficient and response time is quick. There are 3 types of email advertising:

1. Opt-ins - These are targeted prospects that have asked for product offers similar to your's. This is an effective form of email marketing with a good response rate.

2. Ezines - These are sent to targeted prospects from ezines that people are subscribed to. This one can be highly effective. Prospects are subscribed to the ezine and most of the time, look forward to the email.

3. Bulk Emails - Send to everyone and anyone regardless of whether or not they are interested in the product. Most of the time these emails get deleted straight away - unless you can come up with a catchy headline that grabs their attention and makes the recipient open the email out of curiosity - then they are deleted most of the time. This is the least effective form of email advertising, however, you should be able to hold some attention, depending on your offer.

So Opt-ins and Ezines are the best form of email advertising that you can use. They say the average person has to see an offer up to 7 times before they will take action and purchase - if they are slightly interested in the offer. You must be consistent in your email advertising campaigns and use a good trusted email advertising service that can get your offers out to millions of targeted prospects. Here is an excellent service that can get your offer out to 75 million targeted prospects and ezine subscribers and over 5 million websites http://www.traffic101.bloggers-guide.com

Here are 5 easy steps to creating a very successful email ad:

1. Only promote or create products that look good and are useful and highly effective. Promote products that are, in your opinion excellent and are worthwhile products.

2. Create an attention-grabbing headline that describes your product's best and most desirable benefit. The idea is to get their attention and make them open the email, especially those that received your offer through bulk email.

3. Write your ad, listing every single benefit that you can think of. The more you list the better.

4. Ensure that you have a way of capturing the email addresses of those that do make a purchase. You will want to send them more offers at a later date.

5.Put your email advertising service to good use and send your offer out to millions. Remember to be very consistent with your offers.

Email advertising is very effective due to the massive numbers of people that get to view what you have on offer. Imagine getting a decent offer out to millions of people, and imagine if only 1% of those people purchased your product every time you sent out an offer. Imagine if 3% or 5% or even 10% purchased. Email advertising is excellent. I recommend that you should at least try it with a decent offer and see where it could take you. <bio>David O Connell =96 How To Reach Millions Of Highly Targeted People With Your Ads and Get Massive Amounts of Targeted Traffic to Your Websites http://www.traffic101.bloggers-guide.com </bio>

If you are still trying to build up your own opt-in list but need to start marketing your products then you may look at buying leads. Buying leads however can become very costly and in some cases may not be worth the return on investment so what do you look for when buying leads?

1. How Were Your Leads Collected?

The first thing you should know when you look at buying leads is how these leads were collected. The best way is if leads were collected by means of a double opt-in system. Do not buy leads that were simply drawn from the internet without the lead's consent as you will probably be accused of spamming if you use these leads.

2. How Fresh Are the Leads?

Another consideration to look at when buying leads is how fresh they are =96 how recently were they collected and how many times have they been sold? Leads that are old or that have been sold to many other buyers will probably not be worth the investment you spend in buying them.

3. Are These Leads Targeted?

Targeting is important for the success of your internet marketing business so before buying leads consider how targeted these leads are. If you find leads that are targeted to the group of people you are trying to reach you will have a lot greater success than simply buying leads that are not targeted.

4. How Often Do They Clean These Lists?

You do not want to buy leads that no longer work and so it is important to know how often the leads you are buying get cleaned up and how gaps in the lead list are filled.

5. Do They Have Testimonials and What Are These Like?

Does the company you are looking at buying leads from have testimonials on their web page? What do these testimonials have to say about the company and the results they are getting from the leads they bought? If a lead company does not have testimonials then be very cautious about doing business with it.

6. Seek Referrals First

If you know of other website owners who are also buying leads and have had some success with their leads then ask them to suggest a lead company to you. If you know and trust someone then they will be more likely to be honest with you about what works and what doesn't.

7. Find out What Advertising Methods They Use to Get Leads

This may be similar to the first point but before buying leads find out what advertising methods the lead company used to get their leads. If they are using advertising methods that appeal to your target market then you will be more likely to have success with the leads that they provide. Also consider how effective their advertising methods are =96 if the people they are advertising to are just interested in getting something for free then you will probably not make any money from them. If they are using spam methods to get leads then you could find yourself in serious trouble.

In conclusion, when buying leads there are a number of important factors that you should consider =96 how were the leads collected and how did the company advertise to get these leads? How fresh are the leads? Is the list you buying clean and how were the gaps filled? Is the list targeted? Can you get referrals and testimonials for the lead company? Although it is always best to create your own double opt-in lists, if you are just starting out then you may find success with buying leads if you find a good lead company to buy from. <bio>Alex Edevane is an accomplished internet marketer and educator focusing on innovative and unique techniques for building a successful online home-based business.
Creating Bulk Email List

By means of the Internet we have the possibility to connect millions of people from around the world. And this number is growing as far as people discover the convenience and necessity of the Internet in today's world, where the success in the business largely depends on information technology.

Companies and organizations have found the Internet an opportune place to promote their products and services. They use the strategy known as bulk email marketing, or bulk email sending, or sending advertisements and promotional letters to email users.

An essential element of successful bulk email marketing strategies is a clean list of targeted email addresses. This assumes that the list contains only valid email addresses of people who are really interested in receiving the emails from the company or organization. Otherwise, your unsolicited advertising will be classified as spam mail. Although sending out magazines and newsletters through bulk emailing is free, companies cannot risk the equity of their brands by offending people. A clean email list will help you assess the success of your email campaigns; and more importantly it will reduce the risk of breaking the anti-spamming laws.

So, how to build a clean targeted email list? There are a few "DON'T" here:

• don't generate email addresses using special tools you may find on the Internet;

• don't harvest the email addresses from web sites;

• don't purchase a ready made list. Such lists usually come from email service providers and agencies that conduct surveys.

Ready made lists that you will probably purchase are never validated and are full of "dead" and undeliverable email addresses. Plus, those lists are sold and re-sold many times and the email addresses' owners are already fed up with emails from other email marketers and I have a great doubt that they will open and read your message since they receive hundreds emails every day. The email addresses that you will harvest from web sites belong to people who did not hear about you and will hardly want to receive your emails. As a return you will receive a lot of complaints from people for sending them unsolicited emails, and ban of your email account.

There is a different way to build your clean targeted email list - subscription form on your web site. Before you start with bulk email marketing, get your web site up and running. Or, probably you already have a site where you advertise your products and services. Setup a subscription form somewhere on your web page and get others to sign up for your mailing lists with their consent. Spread the word about your mailing list through word of mouth. The beauty in this is that the list of emails will be self-screened and the database will only contain the people who are interested in your offers. Make sure you have their consent beforehand. It's not as quick and easy as generating or harvesting email addresses but it's more reliable way. You won't send unsolicited emails as you have a proof that the recipient has subscribed himself to your mailing list.

Building Relationship with Your List

When you have an email list of subscribers who have specifically agreed that you send emails to them, you have an asset that can be leveraged over and over again. You can use that email list to drive traffic to different websites and sales pages again and again and this is why you must cherish your list like an apple of your eye. The better you treat your list, the better the return will be when you want it.

To have a very profitable email list, you should simply build a relationship with your subscribers. You want them to like you, feel like they know you, feel comfortable buying from you and most importantly you want them to look forward to and enjoy reading your emails. If you can build a strong relationship with your subscribers, then you have more chances of getting them to purchase your products and services.

Here are a few tips how you can build a relationship with your email list:

1. Send emails regularly. Make sure you are reaching your subscribers at least once a month in emails or other medium. If you emailed to a list of people and had little or no response does not necessarily mean your audience isn't interested in your product. Experiment with different emails, get to know which email strategy works best, and keep using it to reach your subscribers.

2. Send useful information and tips. Your emails should contain something that the customer wants. It shouldn't be just the information about your company or yourself. Focus on giving more than just what you sell. Specific content, messages, and other targeted information that interests your customers are good to include. This is a great way to make readers look forward to your emails as they will know that they are going to receive great information from you. Provide value in your emails and don't try to profit in some way form every one of them.

3. Send the videos of you and talk to your subscribers about things they want to know about. Videos are usually better than regular emails because they are more personal and show there is a real person giving the information.

4. Make sure your subscribers can read your emails. Although the videos, graphics, flash animations, and logos look impressive on an email, they are often blocked by email filters. Upload video, graphics, and flash files to your site and use a flat text with hyperlinks to the site. Once your recipients get to your site, you can show them as many graphics as you want.

5. Create a way for your subscribers to interact with you. This can be a forum, a comment system, an email submission area, a live chat room and many others.

Note that not every email you send has to have some way of profiting in it; just make sure the readers enjoy it, make sure they like you and they like your emails. Make your readers to feel as though they can trust you and everything you say in your emails. <bio>Author is a technical expert associated with development of email marketing program: http://www.glocksoft.com/em/.
One of the most vital forms of marketing for your product or marketing has to be an email campaign.

Many people think that email marketing just does not work anymore; well I can assure you it does. As long as the campaign is targeted correctly, has great content and a follow up system is in place then you are more than half way there.

Sure, we have all received emails from individuals and deleted them straight away but ask yourself this, why did I delete this message before I even read it?

Here is the answer! Either the heading was wrong and did not hook you immediately, or the layout was incorrect. When you receive any email the first thing you see will be the heading if this does not capture your imagination, and then it is destined for the delete button.

Here are some examples of three genuine emails I received today, which one do you think I read?

"4 days left and we're 143 point in profit"
"Explode Traffic Overnight Increase Sales by 700% "
"Sales made easy"

Yes it was the second, "Explode Traffic Overnight Increase Sales by 700%" Why?

To me the headline was great, the use of the word Explode was a very good idea especially for the first word within this title, Overnight is also another great word to use and the 700% at the end of the title just about enticed me to look further.

I mentioned earlier that your emails should be targeted; well this email was targeted because I am always looking for new ideas for more traffic to my websites.

If you look at the first title "4 days left and we're 143 point in profit" I do not know what this email was all about but I can guess it was for gambling. It was obviously not targeted and I think the headline sucks. Nothing within this title would draw me in further would it you? I hope not!

Now the worst of them all, "Sales made easy" sales of what? Why is it made easy?

Whoever sent this email has just wasted a whole lot of money. 99.9% of the targets this email has been sent to will just hit the delete button straight away and the rest will probably open it by mistake.

Email campaigns can cost a lot of money, spend your money wisely!

Just like this second title above, use power keywords if possible at the beginning, middle and end of the heading.

Now once you have you reader hooked, do not lose them now, the most important feature of your email is the layout. The layout of this particular email was immaculate and very readable.
One of the big Internet marketing breakthroughs you may hear people talking about is using direct mail.

In other words, getting the postal addresses of your email list and sending them offline offers. Many of the top Internet marketers in the world do this and swear they double, triple even quadruple their sales.

And I believe this to be true from my own tests and observations as well. But what's even more exciting is that many of these experts are renting lists of offline people and driving them to their websites to capture their email addresses. In other words, expanding their email lists using offline lists.

However, if you decide to do this, you must be careful of who you get your lists from. There is an art to finding a good mailing list and most Internet marketers haven't really had a chance to learn about it.

Which brings me to a recent interview I did with legendary copywriter Bob Bly. Bob gave me a great tip on making the whole list renting issue painless and easy.

What he said was to never, ever rent a list from a list owner. Reason why is because you are obviously not going to be getting an unbiased answer when you inquire as to the quality of the list. A list owner can (and probably will in many cases) tell you whatever you want to hear.

And so Bob said to always go to a good list broker. A list broker being someone who finds lists for you, does all the work and then delivers you the exact list you are looking for.

The way Bob explained it to me was it costs you nothing to use a list broker since he gets paid by the list owner, not you. Plus, it is in the broker's best interest to please you and give you what you want since he wants your repeat business. If he messes around and gives you a non-responsive list, or doesn't actually go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and successful and make money from your mailing, then he knows you probably won't be back.

This may sound like simple advice. But the fact is most Internet marketers have never dealt with offline lists before and it can be a totally different animal than online lists and joint ventures.

And so, if you are going to be expanding your Internet marketing business by going to offline lists and trying to drive them to your online list, make sure you consider the advice Bob gave in the interview.

It could save you a lot of time, money and frustration. <bio>For 117 hour marketing advice from guru's in all aspects of direct mail marketing, go to Michael Senoff's http://www.hardtofindseminars.com/audioclips.htm </bio>
