Why parrots stop talking is not always the problem. Some people long for their parrots to stop talking, simply because they talk incessantly once they have learned a few phrases. Parrots are very sociable, and want to communicate with other members of their "flock" =96 which means the people with whom they live. So a talking parrot is probably more common.

There are times, however, when parrots stop talking, and then the worried owner wants to know why parrots stop talking.

Reasons Why Parrots Stop Talking

There are several reasons why parrots stop talking. We cannot give a complete list here, but one of the following may apply to your parrot.

1. Some talking parrots stop talking for a few days when they arrive in a new home. They are adjusting to the change. They find themselves suddenly with a new "flock" in a new environment. Even a talking parrot will take time to sort things out in its mind before it feels comfortable.

2. Sometimes talking parrots stop talking when they are feeling ill. If your parrot has been talking, and stops with no apparent reason, consider health issues. You may need to take it to an avian veterinarian.

3. Talking parrots will "pout" and stop talking when they are unhappy with a change you have made. It may be you have moved the furniture in the room where the parrot spends most of its time. Maybe you are wearing an article of clothing the parrot does not like.

4. Another reason talking parrots may stop talking is the introduction of a new family member, either human or another pet. The parrot must work through the change, and stops talking while adjusting.

5. Sometimes a talking parrot has been frightened, perhaps by a prey animal. The animal may be outside, but visible from the parrot's cage.

6. Finally, a talking parrot may stop talking if it becomes bored with its own chatter, and hears few words from you. Remember that your parrot talks to communicate with you. It is in a "foreign" land, away from those that speak its language, and is trying to learn your language to communicate.

What to Do When Parrots Stop Talking

There are several things you can do to encourage a talking parrot that has stopped talking.

If your talking parrot is in new surroundings, make it as comfortable as possible. Give it time to adjust, but while it's adjusting, talk to it gently and frequently. As soon as it decides the new surroundings are safe, it will probably begin talking again.

If you suspect your talking parrot's sudden silence is an early sign of illness, look at its eyes and feathers. If you detect dullness in either, you may need to have an avian (bird) veterinarian check your parrot.

Sometimes the answer is as simple as finding a change you have made in the previous few days or week. Did you move a vase that used to reflect the light? Did you move the parrot's cage a few feet one way or another? Try to remember what may have changed and put it back the way it was. Your talking parrot may quickly speak up to thank you.

Check for predators, even though you know they cannot reach the parrot. A large, predatory bird flying past the window, or sitting in a tree outside can be the reason a talking parrot stops talking.

The best solution to helping a talking parrot find its tongue is to spend more time talking to and around the bird. Take it into other rooms with you and the family so it will feel like being a part of the conversation.

Talk to your bird as much as you would talk to a family member or very good friend, and before long, it should begin talking again. <bio>=A92007, Anna Hart.
The teen years are filled with challenges, but probably the most frustrating thing for many parents is talking to teens. Suddenly, that child that babbled like a happy brook has turned into an almost silent creature who communicates by eye rolling and sarcastic asides. While you may be tempted to just throw up your hands in frustration and wait seven or eight years to try again, talking to teens is important enough to keep trying.

One of the biggest mistakes parents make when talking to teens is trying to be cool, phat, hip, with it - you get the idea. Actually, your teens have plenty of friends, but they only have one set of parents. While they may seem to hate you at the moment, they'll respect you more for staying parents and not worrying about being friends. Of course, this does not mean that you have to be authoritative and unbending. You want your teens to know that they can come to you with problems and insecurities without getting into trouble or being belittled. Just don't worry about winning a popularity contest.

So, how do you talk to your teen? First, never try to hold meaningful conversations in front of friends or as your teen is rushing out the door. Instead, pick a quiet time, like the ten minutes after dinner when your teen is clearing the table for more private discussions or talk during the meal about lighter topics. Avoid questions that can be answered without much thought, like "How was your day?" Instead, ask if Mr. Simmons had a pop quiz or whether that new teacher was as mean as everyone thought.

Don't stop talking just because your teen doesn't seem to be responding. Parents who are persistent in talking to their teens usually find that their children will finally begin talking to them again, while those who give up may never be able to reopen the lines of communication.

One of the best ways to keep your teens talking is to do something special with them at least once a week. Something as simple as an hour at the mall followed by a visit to the local coffee shop or juice bar can really help you stay connected. Camping, hiking, tennis, and miniature golf can all be great ways for your teen to spend time with you in a relaxed environment. Even watching a favorite home video together can be a great way to encourage your teen to open up. However, whatever you choose to do with your teen, make sure that you don't cancel your time together because something else came up.

Finally, if your teen's sudden change of mood is combined with bloodshot eyes or jittery behavior, you may have a more serious problem than an uncommunicative teen on your hands. Teens experimenting with drugs often stop talking with their parents. If you suspect that your teen has a drug problem, get professional help. <bio>Mama On the Go offers parenting tips and timesavers for busy moms.
If you have an ADD brain, it's always working. Ideas are popping up like dandelions after a fresh summer rain, and as with a well-kept lawn, you need a way to get rid of them. You need to clear your mind. So, you want to talk. And it doesn't have to be anyone in particular. You can talk to a trusted friend, or a stranger, but there are times when you just belabor a point until the person is ready to fall asleep, even if they understand it's your ADD doing the talking.

You aren't terribly aware of how you're making the other person feel, though. Your ADD is going to make you keep talking and talking, even when you're done saying what you wanted to say. But unless you're talking to a friend or relation who understands your ADD, they don't' realize that unless you get your mouth in motion, your brain is going to explode. You need an outlet, a way to make all the ideas find their way out.

However, communication means that you exchange ideas with other people. They have to be allowed to chime in now and then, or they lose interest fast because what you're doing is lecturing. There is no exchange, and depending on the person you've chosen to talk to, they may or may not understand what you're talking about. I mean, some people just aren't as smart as you are and if you're explaining something technical, they may not get it at all. They'll tune out in about thirty seconds, and then, their eyes will glaze over. After that, they'll either fall asleep or make excuses to get away, if you let them.

But how can you change this behavior in yourself and in others?

Go someplace where no one else can hear you and talk to yourself. It's just a way to dump all the bazillion ideas in your head and to help you to feel better. Not only that, but you'll be able to clarify and streamline your thinking so that when you do present your idea to someone else, you can be more to the point. But even then, let people have a way out. If you think they look bored, they probably are, so ask them, "Do you want me to stop right now?" And if they agree that they do, don't be offended. It's just your ADD, and if you can let people do that, you'll be less likely to see them turn and go in the other direction when they see you coming.

You can't think of ADD as a curse, because it's far from that. ADD is a definite blessing. You're probably very intelligent, and you're creative and can come up with some very cool ideas, very quickly. But when you find yourself needing to get the ideas out of your head before it explodes, try talking to yourself for a while first. Or, if that seems too silly, then get some paper and write them out or type them into your computer. Whatever makes you feel better. Writing your ideas is a way to help you not to forget them, too, so that may be a great alternative. But just try to be a more considerate communicator. When you feel that someone's had enough, ask them, and allow them to politely bow out of the conversation. When people know that you're willing to do that, you'll have better listeners, too. <bio>Tellman Knudson is a certified hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner, who has helped many of his clients to cope with the symptoms of ADD.
So let's say there is a guy you are attracted to whom you see all the time. When you see him, he's always out with his friends, laughing and just having a great time with his buddies. Every time you try to talk to him, though, he gets all nervous.

You've got to understand something about this guy. You think this guy is so cool, calm, collected and confident. The truth is that if he's nervous around you, then he's interested in you.

Just look at his personality. That's something that I always tell women.

A lot of times when a woman is attracted to a guy and he acts like this, i.e., confident and friendly with his friends but nervous around her, she interprets this seemingly stark change in his behavior as an indication that "This guy isn't interested in me." She will interpret his nervousness as deliberate unfriendliness toward her.

In reality, this guy IS interested in you precisely because he is not acting like himself . Watch what this guy does and think about it for a second.

The minute he stops talking to you, he goes back to talking to his friends and he immediately becomes the confident guy again. Then you see him talking to a woman to whom he's not attracted, and he becomes that confident guy again. When he's talking to the waitress, he's the confident guy.

The minute he starts talking to you, however, he seems to get really nervous. His hands go in his pockets. He might rock back and forth a little bit.

So what do you do in this situation? You've got to bring it out of him a little bit more.

For one thing, you can always ask him "Do I make you nervous?" You can confront him right away if you feel like taking the direct approach.

You can also just be really calming and ask him questions about things. When you're in a conversation with him, maybe go a little deeper and start asking him more questions about what he's saying. Get him to relax a little bit. You could laugh at one of his jokes.

The fact is that life is about energy, and whatever energy someone brings into a dynamic can affect the energy of the others. So when this guy is nervous, you become nervous and then the two of you will become nervous together.

So if you like this guy or you think you might like this guy, it may be up to you to bring a calming energy into your conversation to draw out his calmer side. Life is a two-way street ladies. It really is.

Once again, too many women sit back and wait for that guy to come over to them. They wait wait for that guy to be George Clooney or Brad Pitt. Sometimes the reality is that you've just got to pull it out of them. It's just the way things are.<bio>Hailed on Fox News, The LA Times, The NY Times, Playboy and more...
We all have been either annoyed, disturbed or irritated with them. You know? Those crazy cellphone users who trounce around talking into their cellphone thinking that the world is their private conference room. Whether it be at a restaurant, movie theatre, or in a library, no place is safe from their babbling. If there is a cellphone signal you can expect to find them. The frightening thing is that most don't even realize how annoying they actually are. Thus, this article will cover some basic cellphone etiquettes that every cellphone user should know.

Talk At A Normal Tone

Many cellphone users think that it is some how better to shout into a cellphone. Apparently they perceive higher voice levels with a better cellphone signal strength. Rather than shouting, when you can't hear the other person, why not go outside or in a area with a better signal strength?

Choose The Vibrate Mode Over Ringer

I can not see any situation, apart from broadcasting your latest downloaded ringtone, that would compel you to choose the ringer over the vibration mode. The vibration mode does the same thing that the ringer was originally intended for, it alerts you when you have an incoming call, however unlike the ringer this mode is less annoying.

Remove The Earpiece

Another annoyance is the number of cellphone users who insist on talking with you while having their ear piece on. You are consistently being placed on hold in mid conservation only to hear the ramblings of another semi-private conversation. If you have to take the call, at the very least notify the other party, that way there is no awkwardness. There is nothing worse than trying not to make eye contact with someone across from you who is not talking to you.

Avoid Talking With Someone When On The Cell

Avoid talking on the cellphone when you know you are going to be talking with someone, such as at a restaurant. Nodding and hand signalling to the waiter while on the phone is extremely rude, it suggests that you are too busy to even be bothered with acknowledging their the presence. In doing so you open yourself to retaliation...food poisoning?

Text Message More

If you have to communicate with another person while at a public area, than try to use one of the many instant messaging clients available on today's cellphones. Not only is text messaging less rude, it saves all off us from hearing your conversation, it is also very efficient. You are more inclined to get straight to the point via text messaging than talking.

Use Voice Mail Feature More

There is nothing wrong in turning off a cellphone or missing a call. If a call is really important then the caller is more inclined to leave back a voice message. Many sensible people understand that not all people can be reached 24/7, after all you are not a receptionist or customer service rep. <bio>Randy Harold http://www.cellphonetalk.ca </bio>

Now just because this article is on the internet doesn't mean that the hardware that we're talking about has anything to do with computers! I mean that is probably the case but why don't we remain patient and civilized and find out before we start jumping the gun and squawking about hard drives and monitors and video cards and CPUs and the like. Lets take a minute to consider what else we could be talking about and make sure it isn't those things before we proceed any further down the computer path.

Hardware could be ACE or The Home Depot right? I mean after all most retail stores today are trying to maximize their market share and are therefore making available many services including a large part of their inventory online. So maybe you are looking for a new compound miter saw or some 35 year guaranteed shingles. Maybe you want to replace that old squeaky screen door. Maybe you have a leak in your plumbing that needs immediate attention. Well you are going to have to stay tuned because I may be able to help you.

Within the above category of hardware there is another category of hardware that refers to the handles on drawers and doors. This is a surprisingly popular market sector as shows like trading spaces, extreme makeover, and Martha Stewart's Home show. People, especially with the economy being rather slow, have decided that instead of getting new things that they will just make due with their old cupboards, or doors, or desks, or dressers, etc. But they are willing to spruce them up by refinishing them and adding new, more generationally acceptable, knobs that match the simple yet elegant and refined look of today. Silver not gold; brushed or "antique" finish rather than a chrome shine.

Ok, ok so I am talking about computer hardware I just wanted to let you know that this may not be what everyone else is referring to when they are talking about hardware in an article on the internet. Any this is a great time for those struggling with their computer components. Online support is getting more and more useful and soon you won't have to ever take your computer anywhere to have it fixed. A technician will be able to analyzed, diagnose, and correct problems over the internet and you will be on your way without much bother at all. Sounds good doesn't it? <bio>Hallidae Thomason is excited about the fact that she was able to have her computer fixed via online support services. She wants everyone to have the same success with hardware as her. Go to http://www.hardwaregroup.info to learn more. </bio>

But at some point in their life, they all give lying their best shot.

Obviously, no parent wants to have a child that lies but expect it and then consider these helpful steps to stopping it. When it comes to talking to our children about lying, the conversation needs to be formulated for success.

1. You can start by telling your child that you know he or she has been lying and. You can then provide them with specific examples. Very often, just being busted by the parents is enough to stop this bad behavior of the child. Even if your action does not make an immediate change, your child needs to understand that you do pay attention to things they said and that you will pay even closer attention in the future.

2. Then, slowly explain to your child why lying is so bad. Remember that children lie for many reasons. They can be for good and for bad. For instance, some children will actually lie as a means of pleasing a parent and not wanting the parent to feel disappointed if they forgot to do something. These are considered a 'good lie', even though they should not really do it. Therefore, you will need to tell your child why lying is a bad behavior, even when done for good reasons.

3. Always maintain eye contact with your child when you are talking to them. This type of one-on-one communication lets the child know that you are serious. Typically, direct eye contact will make the child feel nervous and uncomfortable. With this, he or she may decide that lying is not worth it if he or she has to go through another conversation like the last one.

4. Talking to your children about lying allows you to show him or her the type of damage done when untruths are told. For the most part, your children never give a second thought to what the lies are doing and will do. This gives you the perfect opportunity to explain how lying hurts and even causes serious damage in numerous ways. Understanding the consequences of the lies might be what your child needs to know.

5. Finally, when talking to children about lying, consider a great method used by Dr. Laura. She had a problem at one time of her son lying. She turned the tables on him, deciding that she too would lie to let him see how it felt. One day, she told her son to go to his room and pack his bags because they were going to Disneyworld the next day. Well, he was thrilled and hurried off to pack. When he started asking specific questions, she said, "Oh, I'm sorry, I was lying." She continued this for one week and you can be sure he never lied to her again.<bio>Jamie Sullivan is a mother of 3 children aged between 4-16 years old and an author of "Child Anger Revealed - Your Ultimate Guide To Deal With Them Effectively" at http://www.ManageYourChild.com.</bio>

There is a lively debate among American lawmakers as to whether or not drivers should be banned from talking on cell phones while behind the wheel. State legislatures, special interest groups and citizens have been arguing the point with mixed results. Some states are opting for statewide bans of cell phones while driving, some are banning only drivers less than 18 years of age and still others have decided to leave it up to the discretion of the individual drivers.

Several studies report that talking on a cell phone while driving impairs reaction time, making your reflexes similar to that of a drunken driver. And even with the advent of hands free devices, driver distraction continues to be a very common factor in traffic accidents.

However, for people that do use the phone while driving, hands free devices are certainly a wise choice. At the very least, even using a phone's speakerphone option allows you to keep both hands on the wheel and does not restrict head movement while talking.

Regardless of what laws your state has adopted, the fact is that you and others are safer when you limit or eliminate the distraction caused by cell phones. So it's smart to be proactive and take the proper precautions to prevent an unnecessary accident.

One point of dispute raised by many drivers is whether talking on a mobile phone really causes more accidents than say, talking to a passenger or to your children in the backseat. And if talking while driving decreases your reaction time, what are the effects of other common activities that people do behind the wheel such as eating, smoking and adjusting a radio? Obviously not every action can be legislated, and it's up to drivers to make the roads as safe as possible.

Another controversial argument is whether a cell phone ban would actually reduce the number of incidents, or if drivers would just try to be more clandestine about their conversations to avoid getting a ticket.

Drivers should strive to keep both hands on the wheel as much as possible and stay focused on the road. That is the most important lesson in the midst of this debate. Don't wait for your state to vote on banning cell phones while driving, invest in a hands free device or better yet turn your phone off while driving. Keep yourself and others safer by reducing the distractions you face on the road every day. <bio>Find the best deal on the auto insurance coverage you need.
A lot is left unsaid when it comes to mens crisis. There are unspoken guy rules that seem to prohibit one from talking to another about his feelings, often resulting in a lot of bottled up feelings that are left waiting to explode. Add that to the pressures that society places on men and you're left with a recipe for trouble. Sometimes men take out their frustrations on their wifes or partners in a physically abusive way, other times children, coworkers or friends bear the brunt of misplaced aggressions. This doesn't need to happen, and there are many things that can be done to help men who are in trouble.

There are plenty of mens crisis forums on the internet, which can provide a man with an outlet for his pent up feelings. Forums are particularly great because they allow a man to talk about his feelings with someone anonymously. If you don't know who you're talking to and they don't know who you are either, you tend to feel safer in talking about things that you would otherwise prefer to keep to yourself. Also, because it's all done online, a guy is able to talk about his feelings without actually having to vocalize it. Sometimes just writing it all out, even if you don't actually post your final product on the forum, can make a world of difference.

In addition to mens crisis forums online, guys can also rely on telephone hot lines. They're free and are great for people who aren't very skilled at navigating the net. Again, your confidentiality is assured and you can be as anonymous as you like. Unlike the online forums, these hot lines are staffed with trained professionals who are trained to help a man in crisis. If you are in crisis and you don't know where to turn, you can rest assured that there are options for you. <bio>Need help with a mens crisis?
If you are looking to build a strong online relationship with a perspective suitor, you ant to pay attention and follow a few tips that will may getting to know each other even more rewarding. You need to build trust with the person you are conversing with, which means you need to be relaxed and offer them a reason to keep talking. Online dating is different from meeting in person, but you can still relay the fact that you are interested and enjoying the conversations. Even if you are smiling while you are typing or even talking through a messenger service, smiling is reflected in your voice.

You need to listen and pay attention especially if you are talking by way of messenger or phone conversation. If you have been told something, you might have to relate back to that conversation to go on. It is very important to listen. Listening is sometimes hard, but you will only learn about someone from listening and retaining some of the information. Besides listening, you need to know when to be encouraging and sympathetic if needed. If you lose your compassion, you may be looking for a new online dating conversation partner.

The next thing to remember is that you need to know how to respond and what not to say. If someone is explaining their life or any situation that requires an emotional response, you might sound a little uncaring if your message is not felt in your words. You have to listen carefully to see the mood of the other person before making a response. Compliments are important even with online dating. You can compliment a picture, voice or a way with words. It all depends how you are talking as to how you direct your compliments.

Never say you enjoy something that the other person likes just to make points. This could cause problems down the line if you decide to meet. You should always be honest and open, but only to a certain extent. Remember to be yourself and not someone you are not. Even online dating conversations can get you in trouble if you pretend to be someone you are not. If you are honest with a person and they are honest with you, a relationship may form in time. You do not have to enjoy the same things to start a relationship.

The last thing to remember is to accept the person for who they are. Since you are conversing through an online dating site, you can always find someone else if you find negative things about the person you are talking to. If you take your time and find someone to talk to, you could eventually develop a relationship that may call for the next level, which could be a face-to-face meeting. That is why you have to be yourself. When a meeting happens, you want to already know the person you are meeting. The first meeting will be special if both parties are open and honest. <bio>Are you looking for more online dating tips? please visit our online dating site at http://www.dating-online.dk .
Perhaps the biggest part to networking is convincing yourself to be social and not just a wallflower. Next time you attend a networking function consider the following tips to help yourself become more successful while looking successful and sounding smooth to others around you.

Before you attend the event write down what your strengths, attributes and special skills are in order for you to know why someone should be interested in what you have to offer. Keep these strengths in your mind in order to boost your self confidence and remind yourself of why others should be talking to you and listening to what you have to say.

Next picture the room in your mind and picture yourself shaking hands and talking with people. Visualizing everything you will be doing can really help even the shyest individual. Visualization is a powerful tool used by many successful people, whether in business, sports or entertainment.

Then when you finally show up, make sure you have a confident posture, a controlled walk, a smile on you face and you greet people with a firm handshake. Also don't forget to make lots of eye contact. You can then use your immediate environment to start a conversation, such as the venue or the host. This will help you find a common bond and to keep the conversation going. Always start with small talk before you get down to business.

When you do start talking business have some questions prepared to ask people in order to find out what their needs are and then you can shape the conversation to show how your services will people in these areas. You don't have to be pushy you're better to soft sell yourself and build interest. This will make people more receptive to being helped by you.

Talking is only half of the event. Whenever it comes to your turn to speak remember to repeat the individuals name back to them, actively listen to what they have to say and keep a mental database of as many details as you can about the person to whom you are talking. If possible always get a business card and don't be afraid to ask for it. The best time to ask is usually after they have talked about what they do and then you can offer yours in return.

Then when you return home be sure to write out information on the back of the card or on a sheet of paper that can be stapled to the card. This way you can maintain and build a rapport for future meetings, emails and phone conversations. Everyone likes a person who remembers them. Then within 24 hours be sure to email everyone and say how much you enjoyed meeting them and mention a detail you remember and suggest they keep in touch with you. <bio>Christine Buresh is a Network Marketing and Internet Marketing professional.
Being the best employee is not simply because of your working performance, but also your attitude and character.

By using some acting tips used by actors in the theater, you can soon be the best employee at the office.

Here are those tips:

1.Read the Scenario

Before performing on stage, those actors must spend weeks even months to rehearse. Remember how you prepared your homework or study before exam? Now, itand#8217;s quite the same. You need to prepare yourself. Letand#8217;s say, you are scheduled for a weekly meeting. That means, you have one whole week to prepare yourself for the meeting. That way, youand#8217;ll have a great presentation of the tasks you have been doing the whole week.

2.Get rid of anxiety

Take some time to meditate. 3 to 5 minutes are enough. This can help you get rid of your nervousness. Do this at least twice a day. Once after you reach the office and the other after lunch time. Actors do it not only on rehearsal but also before stage. So, try this one, too, before you get into the meeting room.

3.Be a good spectator

Visualize yourself as part of the spectators. This helps you interact with those and#8216;watchingand#8217; you. By looking from the spectatorand#8217;s point of view, you will understand their needs. It is the same with putting yourself in your bossand#8217; shoes. By knowing your bossand#8217; need of you, you can give the best for the company.

4.Itand#8217;s all in your eyes

Acting is all about the eyes. Your eyes are the window to your soul. That is why it is necessary to look into the eyes of the one you are talking toand#8212;boss or co-workerand#8212;, both in daily conversation and in any company meetings.

5.Vocal Practice

You must hate if you have to listen to someone who cannot control his/her voice. Either too loud or too soft until we can barely hear anything. Therefore it is necessary to control your voice. Take a deep breath before you start talking. This helps you control your voice.

6.The Right Timing

What would it be if two or three actors talk at the same time? The show would be chaotic. For that reason, you need to know when to talk and when to listen. Avoid talking when your boss or colleagues are talking. Wait until your turn comes. Consequently they will also listen to you when you talk. <bio>David W Richards has been working for several companies and has a wide experience in management.
When it comes to men health and fitness, America as a country is getting further and further behind the rest of the industrialized world. More men in the United States are overweight than any other country in the world, and it's time we did something about it. Fortunately, there are a ton of options when it comes to losing weight. For example, there are plenty of gyms in cities across America. If you're not a fan of getting all sweaty and gross in front of strangers, you can always order your own home gym or get a treadmill. Nowadays, you can even watch television programs and get fit! There are entire channels devoted only to giving you a trim figure.

If you want to learn more about men health and fitness, you could always start subscribing to a men's magazine. In addition to having in depth consumer reports on various electronics and doodads, they also have health and wellness sections. From telling you the best times of the day to go running if you're looking to increase your metabolism to showing you how to shape your triceps, men's magazines have just about everything you could hope for.

If you'd like a more engaging kind of activity, you could hop online and check out some of the men health and fitness forums that are everywhere. These forums allow you to discuss men's health issues in an anonymous fashion without the embarrassment of talking face to face with your primary care physician. They also can act as support groups, with everyone encouraging one another to stay on track in terms of diet and exercise. The only thing to remember when you're dealing with forums, however, is that you can never be sure of who you're talking to. Take all of the advice you get on the forums with a grain of salt, because the people may or may not know what they're talking about. <bio>To discover some great men health and fitness tips, visit the Mens Health Forums.
So, you're hemorrhaging money and you're panicking, don't make any rash decisions yet.

First review what you've done, hopefully you picked a safe program, something low risk with a good track record, ability for duplication and a marketing system already in place. Has the program/product you're selling been sold before, If not your in the wilderness without a map, you may want to reconsider. Are you following the system? If not, do, there's no excuse for trying to re-invent the wheel before you're making money. Have you called someone who's done it and asked for guidance? You should, if you're doing multi-level marketing your upline is your lifeline.

Get back to the basics. Let over your program's system and start with step 1 and work each step 1 by 1 until it starts to produce success. A frequent mistake of beginners is to jump ahead, this is equivalent to attempting to build a house by constructing the roof first, if a ridiculous amount of time and money is spent you may get a result, but not as soon or of as good quality as you would have gotten by starting at the beginning and doing each step in it's turn.

Who's problem are you trying to solve? If you're just trying to solve it for you, you may be in trouble. See if your program or product is something your friends or family good use to solve a problem they're having. If you can solve a problem for them you might start to get some excitement back and this can help propel you over the obstacles.

Who are you talking to? If you're not talking to anyone, you won't succeed. Who are you talking to again? If you don't follow up with prospects and find out their problems, desires and dreams, how can you help them. Who are you still talking to? If you don't continually put yourself out in front of everybody then you are ignoring sales. Someone who gives you a 'NO' is just a customer who hasn't figured out they need your product yet.

If you have a good product/program, you have good mentors (upline) and a good system, stop worrying. It's just a game of numbers and patience. Numbers are easy, patience is hard! Most people are running on a winning road, but when they see nothing but hills in front of them they give up. The people who keep running are the ones who succeed. Remember, never give up! Never give up! Never give up! <bio>Brandan Collins is an Internet Marketer and Software Engineer.
Many people today are interesting in the golf terminology, because often times it seems like golfers have their own separate language when they hit the links. Quite simply, a new golfer has to know the terminology to be able to communicate effectively with other golfers. Here are some quick tips in terms that you will need to know before hitting the golf course for the first time.

First of all, a birdie is anytime you score one stroke under par. An eagle is two strokes under par, and a double eagle is three strokes under par. For instance, if you play the par four, and get a three, this would be a birdie.

A par is where you shoot even par for a hole, and a bogey is where you shoot one over par for a hole. A double bogey occurs when you shoot two over par, a triple bogey is three of over par, and a quadruple bogey is four strokes over par.

These are the scoring terms, but the golf terminology certainly doesn't stop there. A driver is what you use when you tee off. This is the club with the least amount of loft, and you will generally hit this the farthest. Your irons are what you will generally play from the fairway when trying to hit the green.

An ace is talking about a hole-in-one. The term action is talking about putting backspin on the ball once it hits the green. This could be if you had hit a sand wedge from the fairway, and it spins backwards once it hits the green. Your aim is simply the target line where you want it a shot.

The fairway is talking about the short grass you generally try to hit the ball to from the tee. Of course, this isn't the case with par threes, but is true of par 3 and 4s. The rough is the longer grass on either side of the fairway, where generally try to avoid when you're in your tee shot. The intermediate cut is usually the second cut it is a little the longer the fairway but shorter than the rough.

The front nine is the first nine holes of the golf course you play, and the back nine is talking about the last nine holes the golf course. A snowman is when you get a score very high over par. Obviously, there are many more terms you will likely learn, and you will simply pick up many of them the more you play. It would be impossible to cover every single term in this article, but these are the basics you must know before you start to play.

Custom golf balls is pretty much like it sounds; uniquely made golf balls built for your individual game. Obviously, you will need to be a very good player in order to justify purchasing these, as they are quite expensive and really don't make a big difference in your game unless you are a more advanced player.

When you play through, it means the group in front of you is letting you go ahead of them, because you are playing faster than they are. The bottom line is, if you want more golf tips and lessons on the web, whether it be about more swing terms, which equipment to buy, information on hitting the ball better, etc, the web has all the data you need. Hopefully these tips will help you to get the golf terminology straight down and help you to carry on a reasonable conversation with talking with anybody on the golf course. <bio>For a great beginners guide to golf and free golf lessons, visit http://onlinegolfinformation.com. </bio>

One of the easiest ways to make yourself more appealing in the eyes of the opposite sex is to raise your status.

I say "easy" because you don't have to really change much to do so. Think of all the ways that you can make a name for yourself.

What's your reputation like now?

When people see you=85 what do they say=85

Here is a great example:

I have a friend that I went to college with that lives in Atlanta=85

Now, this person and I have done some crazy, crazy stuff together=85 great stories.

(By the way, learn the art of storytelling=85 priceless for attracting people)

Basically, he's always telling his friends=85 many of them women=85 all the stories and fun that we've had over the years. Some of the stories are pretty hilarious=85 some sexual=85 all just flat out fun.

What this does is it surrounds me with an aura of mystery, intrigue, and fun=85 and I don't have to do anything at all.

So, when I go down to visit and I meet someone that has heard of these stories=85 it's instant attraction. They feel like they already "know" me to a degree PLUS I've become a mini celebrity=85

Think about how powerful this is.

I've started talking to a woman for about 10 minutes and all of the sudden she puts two and two together and figures out that I'm "that guy" from the stories=85 and you can see an INSTANT change in her demeanor=85 I'm talking INSTANT, my friend.

I (censored) you not.

I'm talking going from pretty interested to all over me=85 in a manner of minutes.

It's fascinating.

And I didn't have to do anything but get talked about=85

So, think about the ways that your friends and social circle can help you "elevate" yourself. What stories do you have that cause intrigue and mystery? Which ones are fun?

If you don't have any=85 make some=85 go on exotic trips=85 meet exotic people=85 do something that people will talk about.

Be that person that does things before anyone else does

Do these things=85 and you'll begin to cultivate an "air" about you that people can't explain=85 but it's sexy nonetheless. <bio>The Seduction Tales Of A Fallen Angel gives practical advice on dating, seduction... and life.
When you are dating someone for the first time, there are a number of things you will want to do, and there are things you will want to avoid at all costs. Unfortunately, many people find these things out the hard way.

This article aims to help you understand what to do on your first date while avoiding the common pitfalls that cause many singles to end up alone. You could think of a date like a job interview. You don't have a lot of opportunities to get it right, and once you mess up, you may not have another chance to leave a good impression. The very first thing you will want to do on a date is be yourself.

I will modify my last statement by saying "you should be yourself at your best." This means that you don't want to talk about any weaknesses or insecurities you may have. You will want to act normally, and avoid trying to be someone you aren't. If your date asks for your opinion on something, tell them what you think instead of what you think they want to hear. The next thing you will want to do is listen carefully to what your date is saying. Not only will this allow you to learn a lot about them, but you will also show that you care about what they are saying. This doesn't mean that you should be quiet throughout the entire date. It just means that you should talk less and listen more.

One of the primary things you will want to avoid is drinking too much alcohol. Getting drunk can allow you to behave in a way that is immature or inappropriate, and it should be avoided at all costs. There is nothing wrong with drinking champagne or a glass of wine on a date, but you don't want to do it too much. In addition to drinking, talking about yourself too much is another way to kill the date. Talking too much about yourself shows that you are egotistical -- and in some case, may even be considered rude. In addition to this, you will send across a message that you are not interested in what the other person has to say.

The last most important thing that you will want to avoid is dressing inappropriately or not demonstrating proper manners. If you are going to a nice restaurant, you will want to wear the proper attire. Use your eating utensils properly, and try to avoid talking with your food in your mouth. Practicing good etiquette beforehand can also go a long way. <bio>Ron Zvagelsky has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Do you ever spend any time, considering your own personal security? You should you know! After all it is YOUR security we are talking about. Let's take a quick look. You spend a lot of money making sure that you have adequate insurance cover for your house, all of your house contents, your other items of value, and a lot of other things too, but did you insure your job? You can't do that, you think? Well, in a sense, yes you can. You should too, because what will happen if you suddenly, for any reason, happen to lose your job? How are you going to live and pay all the bills, and how long will it take you to find another job? Serious stuff. Spend a bit of time and think about it.

You know, you already have the answer. Isn't it true that you do hoard at home, heaps of spare stuff, so that if something breaks down or needs replacement, you just get the spare out, and away you go again? Fine, you don't even think twice about it! OK, so why can't you have a spare job, so that if one goes bung, all you do is just plug in your spare, and away you go?

Sound a bit like I'm talking about a second job? Wrong, I'm not! Second jobs are generally a waste of time. You're working for a boss, spending 10 hrs. a week or so, doing something you're not the least bit interested in, for which you're getting paid a pittance, and to add insult to injury, you will be required to pay tax at your top going rate! "No sir!" What I am talking about, is the idea of setting up your own automated home business, on the internet. Once you have such a business set up, being fully automated, it will virtually run itself, with little or no help from you. True! After all, what help do you give, when you're fast asleep at night? Yet, you could wake up in the morning, go to your computer, and find out how much money you made during the night. Yes, your new business works 24/7/365. Bet you don't - it never gets tired.

I'm not talking here about giving up your job, any time soon, but rather starting an automated home business, in addition to you're main job. You would be able to set it up, and easily run it side by side with your full time job, in your time, at your convenience. Once you get it established, and earning money, it would be an asset to your personal finances. Of course, to start with, it would not be able to replace your job, but it would form a base upon which you can build, with no risks. Upon this base, you could easily expand and develop multiple income streams.

What's that? You wouldn't be able to do that because you don't know how? Tell you what - how about you could get almost all of the setting up done for you, for nothing? And how about 30 days of additional tuition, to tell you EXACTLY how to do the rest - also for nothing? Do you think 47 videos on a variety of subjects might help a bit - also for nothing? Every scrap of information you could possibly need would be available to you. There is exactly such an offer available right now!

Got to be some catch, you say? Not really, because the person involved, who set the whole deal up, Stone Evans, will tell you that he's more than happy to do that, because, that is his business. If he can make you successful, then so too will he be. Find out for yourself now - nobody can tell when the next opportunity like this is going to present itself. It's your future at stake here!

Copyright =A9 Bernard Kirkbride <bio>To find the best home based business ideas and opportunities so you can work at home visit: http://www.Automated-HomeBiz.com </bio>

Have you ever been to a networking event and asked someone, much to your regret what they do, and half an hour later you are still standing there nodding your head feigning interest and wondering why you even bothered getting out of bed?

It has happened to us all...but the trick is not to be one of those offenders ourselves. Not only will you switch off those people you talk to but you will get zero chance of business as a result.

So what is an elevator pitch and what are the biggest pitfalls you can fall into?

Firstly an elevator pitch refers to those first few words you speak when someone asks you 'So, what do you do?'

You therefore have to do 3 things:

Engage your listener(s) so they do actually listen to what you have to say
Ensure that you convey the message you want so the listener understands you
Ensure that what you say is remembered

Remember you only get one opportunity to make a first impression so your elevator pitch is something you should spend time planning, practicing and testing.

So what are the biggest pitfalls you can fall into when delivering your elevator pitch?

Talking too long

This is probably the most common mistake. When someone first asks you what you do you don't need to go into the minutia of who you are, what you do, where and when you do it, and how you do it...reserve that for the follow on questions if the person is interested.

Instead be short and concise (generally 10 seconds is about right) giving a very brief overview of what you do.

Focusing on what you are rather than what you actually do

Tell someone you are an accountant, at best they will politely say 'oh right' at worst will yawn and think 'not another!' Focus instead on what you do in other words how you help to save people money on their tax bill, help grow their business and you may have a willing ear wanting to find out more.

Telling them everything

You might have several businesses or be involved in different types of work but trying to explain all at once is confusing and gives mixed messages.

Instead focus on one area that you think is of most relevance to the person you are talking too, so they are left with no doubt in their mind as to what you do.

Being a bore

People's time is precious so being boring isn't going to endear you to those you meet especially when they have a choice perhaps of 100 others to speak with. A bore may earn that title if they are repetitious, talk too long, focus on themselves as a person or show little regard to needs of the person they are talking to.

So think what you have to say that will be of genuine interest to the other person so they value the time spent talking with you, and again, keep it concise. Even consider using props to help you stand out from the crowd or an interesting business card which will help you be remembered.

Using jargon

Have you had those conversations with people who know exactly what they are talking about but clearly haven't registered that you don't? Many people get carried away with their own technical terms or abbreviations that only those in the profession have heard of.

Consider who you are talking to, establish their own experience in your field and tailor your language accordingly.

Avoiding these pitfalls

Your elevator pitch is something you should prepare and practise carefully, and tailored according to the networking event you are attending. Be prepared to experiment to see what works and get feedback from your friends and colleagues.<bio>Passionate networker Louise Yates shares business networking tips and business networking information for word of mouth marketing, generating referrals and sales leads.
You and your family have decided that it is time to get a German Shepherd and now the time has come to find the right German Shepherd breeder. This is a long process and if you know what questions to ask then it can be a little less difficult, but if you are unsure of what you should be doing then you could get in over your head. Choosing a breeder is extremely important and you need to take your time to make sure that the breeder you choose really is the right one for you and your family.

You will be talking to a lot of breeders so get ready for that right off the bat. Talking to just one breeder is not enough because even though you are bringing the dog home your relationship with the breeder will go on for a long time. You need to feel like you can ask your breeder for advice and if a particular breeder makes you uncomfortable then you need to talk to other breeders until you find one you feel comfortable with.

In most cases a reputable German Shepherd breeder is going to be affiliated with one of the national breeder registries. Find out which one the breeder you are talking to is affiliated with and check out that organization's breeding standards. If you see some things that concern you then discuss them with the breeder. If the breeder you are talking to is not listed on a registry then ask them why they chose to not be listed and ask them what they use for breeding standards.

A good breeder does not allow you to leave with your new pup empty handed. A good breeder is going to supply you with a lot of care and feeding information that is vital to the health and well being of your dog. A good breeder will also see to it that you leave with a sample of your dog's food so that you know what to feed your dog. If you do not get these things from the breeder you are dealing with then you will want to question that.

Many of the reputable breeders are offered free pet insurance policies by insurance companies to be given away to the owners of new pups. The insurance companies hope that you use the six-week policy to take your dog to the vet and see how wonderful the insurance is and extend it.
