Do you enjoy the sport of surfing? If so, there is a good chance that you also enjoy traveling to Hawaii, if you don't already live there. If you are not originally from Hawaii and you enjoy surfing, you may want to think about taking a vacation. Although there are an unlimited number of places in Hawaii to surf, you may want to think about vacationing in Maui, namely the Makena area. In fact, you may also want to think about renting a Makena surf condo.

When it comes to Makena surf condos, there are a number of individuals who wonder why they should stay at one, but even more individuals wonder exactly what a surf condo is. There are a number of different meanings for surf condos, but, essentially, they are another way to describe beach condos. The word surf is often incorporated into the name when the condos are located in an area that is ideal for surfing, such as the Makena area. As for why you should stay at a Makena surf condo, well, there are a number of different reasons why you should.

One of the most obvious reasons why you should stay at a surf condo is if you enjoy surfing or if you plan on surfing while on your Maui vacation. As previously mentioned, Makena is an area that is well-known for its surfing waters. Having a beachfront condo, otherwise known as a surf condo, is a great way to have access to those waters, at just about anytime. Staying close to the beach will not only give you twenty-four access to it, but it will also make it easier for you to examine the conditions of the waters. This is a great way to not only enjoy your vacation, but make sure that you do not waste your time preparing for a surf when the weather or the waters may not be cooperative.

Although those who enjoy surfing can benefit the most from a Makena surf condo, they are not the only individuals who can. If you are visiting the Makena Maui area and you would just like to stay close to the beach, you can also stay at a Makena surf condo. In fact, even if you do not enjoy surfing or if you cannot surf, you may still enjoy watching others. In fact, depending on the distance between your Makena surf condo and the beach, you may even be able to watch locals and other tourists surf, right from the comfort of your condo.

If you feel that a Makena surf condo is perfect for you, you will want to start making your reservations. Since Makena is a popular area, among tourists, you may want to think about making your reservations in advance. At least, five to six months before your Maui vacation is set to take place is a good time to make your reservations. When making your reservations, it is important to remember that you should be prepared to pay a little bit more for a Makena surf condo than you would if you were staying at a hotel or a resort. The cost will all depend on which Makena surf condo you plan on renting, but whether you are beachside or not, the cost will sometimes be high, but always worth it.

If you would like to start making your reservations today, you are advised to. You can make your Makena surf condo reservations by booking them directly; however, this will require you to search for and find surf condo owners. For an easier way to book your Makena surf condo reservations, you are advised to contact your travel agent or make your reservations online, through an online travel website. Regardless of how you go about making your Makena surf condo reservations, once you arrive in Makena, you will be glad that you made them. <bio>All of us would love to stay in ahttp://www.hawaiianbeachrentals.com/Hawaii/Maui/Wailea/condos1.htm beachfront condos in wailea. But can you afford vacationing in a wailea beachfront condo? Yes you can! </bio>

Are you in the mist of planning a Maui Makena vacation? If you are, you have decided to vacation in one of the most popular areas of Hawaii. Although you may have started planning your vacation, did you already start making your vacation reservations? If you have yet to do, especially your reservations for your overnight accommodations, you may want to take the time to examine Makena surf condos. Makena surf condos are the perfect place to stay on your next Maui Makena vacation.

As nice as Makena surf condos are, there are many individuals who are unfamiliar with what they are. Are you one of those individuals? Unfortunately, too many individuals make the mistake of not taking the time to examine Makena surf condos, to find out what they are. Many of those individuals end up booking reservations at a vacation rental, hotel or resort. Of course, you can also do this, but you may be making a huge mistake. As previously mentioned, Makena surf condos are the perfect place to spend your vacation. That is why is important that you take the time to learn more about them. Not taking the time may, literally, mean missing out one of the greatest opportunities in your life.

When it comes to understanding Makena surf condos, you will find that there are a number of different definitions. There are some who consider Makena surf condos to be condos that are located close to a Makena beach, but there are others who think that Makena surf condos are right along the beach. No matter where they are located, Makena surf condos are like any other condo. These condos are typically located in a large building, either a high-rise or a townhouse style building. Really, the only difference between a Makena surf condo and a traditional beachfront condo is the fact that surf condos tend to be located in areas where surfing is popular, such as Makena.

As previously mentioned, Makena surf condos are like traditional condos. What is nice about these condos, including surf condos, is that they come in a number of different sizes. For instance, a large number of Makena surf condos come with one bedroom, but there are others that come with two or more. Whether you are looking to enjoy a romantic vacation, a honeymoon, a family vacation, or a surfing adventure with your friends, you should easily be able to find a number of Makena surf condos that can give you the accommodations that you need.

In addition to what you need, there are also a number of Makena surf condos that can give you what you want. This is because a large number of condo buildings come with pools, onsite laundry facilities, and much more. What you have available to you will all depend on the type of Makena surf condo you wish to book a stay at. However, you can easily ensure that you get what you want or what you need, by keeping your wants and needs in mind when booking a Makena surf condo.

Speaking of booking a Makena surf condo, if you like what you have learned about them so far, you may want to think about making your reservations. In Makena, surf condos are quite popular. For this reason, it may be a good idea to book your reservation in advance. Doing so will help to ensure that you get the Makena surf condo of your choice. You can easily make your reservations directly, through an online travel website, or with the assistance of a professional travel agent. <bio>Hawaii is well known for great surfing conditions.
It's perfectly acceptable and, actually, highly recommended to take a surfing lesson when you're just picking up the sport. You might think surfing is logical and that you will have the natural ability to pick it up right away, but the reality is that surfing is a very awkward sport when you first start out and there are tons of little tips that you can acquire only from a surf instructing professional.

Surf lessons can be private or in groups and last for about an hour. You will likely ride on a completely foam board that is nearly 10 feet long and very lightweight, which catches waves easily and gives you a lot of float. Most surf schools guarantee that you will stand up on a wave. If you don't, you can usually come back for another lesson for free until you do. It might appear unnecessary and dorky, but a beginning surf lesson will likely accelerate your surfing ability more than the trial and error of learning on your own. If you go it alone, your learning curve will likely be slower, more painful, and in some cases more dangerous.

Another thing you must keep in mind is that friends who surf are not the same as surf instructors. Some of your friends may have been surfing for years, but if you ask them to go surfing with you to help you learn, they could well be worse than your least favorite middle school teacher. You and your experienced surfing friends might paddle out together, but your friends might leave you treading water at the lineup while they're catching all the waves.

That's why you are much better off shelling out the $50 or so for a first lesson. Surf instructors get paid to answer questions and push you into a wave. Their main goal is for you to have a good time while riding your first wave. To take full advantage of the time you have with your instructor, it is advisable to prepare a list of questions you can ask. There's no limit to the silly or stupid questions you can ask a surf instructor, so fire away.

Surf instructors take their students to beginner surf breaks that are usually a bit crowded. This will be a most humbling experience, but you will be among others who are in the same boat as you. One thing is for certain: Wherever it is you go with your instructor, he or she won't paddle you out to a break that you can't handle, so you know you will be safe and taken care of. For this reason, surf lessons ensure that you will paddle back out another day wanting more. Goodness knows you don't want to be in over your head or get injured and be too scared to try the sport again. So start off on the right foot by taking one surf lesson. Once you get that initial lesson out of the way, you'll feel far more confident going it alone thereafter.<bio>Robb Bailey works for South Coast Surf Shops, San Diego's premiere surfboard distributor and surf apparel dealer for more than 30 years.
Though not as well known as more conventional fishing techniques, surf fishing has quickly created a dedicated following amongst anglers. The appeal of surf fishing lies in the ability to land big fish without needing access to a boat. Not only does this make surf fishing relatively inexpensive, but it also makes it highly accessible to all. Many anglers prefer to surf fish from flatter beach areas, though equally good results can be had from rocky ledges and coves up and down the coast of Maine.

Surf fishing for striped bass is fast becoming a common sight along the coastal regions of Maine. Experienced surf anglers will cruise along the beach or coastline looking for likely spots to fish, such as sheltered coves or eddies. The presence of seabirds may indicate a school of baitfish, which can be equally worthwhile following as they will no doubt attract striped bass.

As surf fishing is a specialist technique, dedicated equipment is required to get best results. Rods suitable for surf fishing are typically anywhere between 10 and 12 feet in length, and are often coupled with heavy duty spinning reels. Remember that you will be looking to cast your weights and bait up to 100 yards off shore beyond the breaking surf, so when you purchase your equipment, make sure that it is designed for surf fishing and will stand up to the job. Weights are an important factor in surf fishing, though multi-ounce pyramid sinkers come highly recommended and will help keep the line tight.

Striped bass are known to take a wide range of bait, so it is worth experimenting to see what yields the most success. Striper anglers particularly favor live eels or baitfish, though artificial lures or eels can also be used to good effect. The most appropriate size and type of bait will depend largely on the size of the fish you're looking to catch as well as what is naturally on offer in the waters.

Surf fishing for stripers can become frantic, especially if you hit a large school. Though schooling fish are typically relatively small, perhaps around 25” in length, much larger striped bass are usually not far behind. Persevering and aiming further out can yield excellent results, with locations such as York Beach renowned for its striped bass action.

If you try surf fishing, you will soon recognize why so many anglers are giving this variation a go. Landing really big fish is possible, and with plenty of different species on offer along the coast of Maine, surf fishing looks set to remain popular. <bio>Ronald Moody has been an avid fisherman for 40 years.
Are you interested in renting a Makena surf condo for your next Maui Makena vacation? If so, have you already booked your reservations? If you have yet to do so, it might be a good idea to get started soon, especially if you plan on staying at a Makena surf condo. When you are ready to book your Makena surf condo reservations, you will have a number of different booking options. These options include travel agents, direct reservations, and online travel websites. Do you know which method is best for you?

When it comes to determining how you should go about booking your Makena vacation reservations, you might be wondering which method of booking is best for you and your needs. While it can be somewhat difficult to choose a booking method, it doesn't necessarily have to be. What you will want to do is take the time to examine the advantages and disadvantages of each booking method. Understanding these advantages and disadvantages may give you some insight into the world of vacation booking.

As previously mentioned, one of the many ways that you can go about booking your stay at a Makena surf condo is by using an online travel website. When using an online travel website, you may want to think about using a travel website that is known as a Hawaiian travel website. Hawaiian travel websites are websites that have a focus on Hawaiian vacations. With a Hawaiian travel website, you are likely to get a larger number of results, when it comes to searching for Makena surf condos. Regardless of which type of travel website you use, you can easily search for Makena surf condos that are available when you need to rent them, all in a matter of minutes. In addition to booking your reservations online, can also customize your searches to eliminate Makena surf condos that do not fit your needs.

In addition to booking your reservations online through an online travel website, you can also use the internet to book your Makena surf condo reservations directly. As nice as it is to book your reservations directly, you will find this method of booking time consuming. When booking your own reservations directly, you will need to find Makena surf condo owners that have available rentals. Before making your reservations, you will need to make sure that the surf condo you want to rent can accommodate you and your traveling party. That is where the time consuming part can come in, especially if you have particular wants or needs.

Although it is always nice to have complete control over making your own Makena vacation reservations, you may not necessarily want to. Whether you do not have internet access or if you do not have the time to research Makena surf condos, you may want to think about using the assistance of a professional travel agent. A professional travel agent is an individual, often an expert in the field of travel, who can offer you vacation ideas, tips, and suggestions. In addition to giving you suggestions on your next Maui Makena vacation, a professional travel agent can also book your reservations for you. The only downside to using a professional travel agent is that you will still need to communicate with them; therefore, in a way, you are still kind of making your own vacation reservations.

As you can see, there are a number of advantage and disadvantages to booking your Makena surf condo reservations directly, through an online travel website, or with a travel agent. Perhaps, the best way to choose a booking method is to examine what your wants and your needs are and then apply them to the above mentioned advantages and disadvantages. <bio>Need a scenic getaway?
Making money online can be confusing and frustrating at times. It is hard to know which ventures actually pay like they say, and which companies are fly by night and never pay out because of all their rules and regulations. A lot of websites talk about getting paid to surf the Internet, and a lot of people believe this is too good to be true, but it is not. Some of these websites actually do pay you just to surf or visit different sites. This is done so that the company you registered for can make money from advertisers, and they pass some of the payments along to the people who do the web surfing as an incentive to surf more, give more visits to those ads or sites, and bring in even more revenue for the big company.

These websites are perfectly legal and it is possible to get paid to surf the Internet. However, before you register with any of these companies you should check them out thoroughly. Some of these websites open a site, sign up with advertisers, recruit a lot of people, and have these people recruit people, and then they either add so many rules and regulations that it is impossible to ever withdraw your earnings. This is done with rules that give very long holding periods, like six months or more, before the first withdrawal can be made. Usually in six months the site has been shut down and the owner has absconded with every bit of money that was paid by the advertisers. The people who were doing the surfing and accumulating advertiser's money are out of luck with all that time spent wasted. Make sure that you investigate any website before you register for it, and this can save you a lot of wasted time.

The amount of money you can make getting paid to surf the Internet can vary widely. There are some adult websites that will pay up to ten cents per site visited or ad clicked. These sites, however, are rated for adults and may contain pornographic images. This content may be disturbing or distasteful to some, so make sure you know what sites you will be visiting before you register. Make sure you know what types of sites are included, and this way you will not find yourself surprised when you are surfing the Internet and getting paid.

Getting paid to surf the Internet is possible, but it does take a little research and investigation. Know the companies before you register with them, and know what websites or ads you will be viewing. Check and see how long the website has been around, is it new or established, before you even register. There is money to be made but do not expect a fortune. There are small amounts to be made by getting paid to surf the Internet, but not large amounts.

Copyright =A9 2007 Joel Teo. All rights reserved.
One of the fastest growing methods for people to earn money online is by being paid to surf the Internet. There is a vast array of different programs to choose from, and all of them work in a similar way to allow you to earn money simply by surging the Internet as you normally would.

Almost anyone can get paid to surf the Internet, and all that you will need to do is download a small piece of software onto your computer. This will then display adverts appropriate to the websites that you are visiting from a selection of carefully selected companies.

Whether you are simply using your computer to check your emails, or are researching a paper for a university course, by signing up for a paid to surf program, you can be earning money as you navigate around the web.

When you sign up for a paid to surf program, the actual return is quite small, although you do not actually have to do anything extra. Where you can start to earn a great deal of cash is through referring other people to join the program with you. You will be providing these other folk with a chance to boost their online income too, and can even get a referral fee for every single other person who signs up for the program as a result.

The simplicity with which you can earn through the most basic types of paid to surf programs makes them an extremely popular way of making money online, but there are also more complex programs available too, which offer much better returns.

Some networks of paid to surf users are also used by advertisers and website owners in order to test the functionality of their programs. The surfers will typically spend time looking through the content of a website in order to make sure that all the links work properly, and all the content is appropriate and well written. These users may either have to submit a short report to the webmaster detailing their findings, or simply have a piece of software on their computer that is able to track their behavior to make sure that every thing is working properly.

The latest paid to surf system is also the most profitable for users with AdSense and Amazon partner IDs: Radiux (http://www.radiux.com). Radiux does not require any software installation but let's you earn money from your regular Internet usage, such as Google search and EBay purchases. This way even Internet users without web presence are able to participate in revenues from online commission systems.

Conclusion: if you are not using every possible option to make extra money from your online behavior you are missing the boat! <bio>Emily is a Internet consultant specialized on http://www.radiux.com/easy-money-online.php paid-to-surf and http://radiux.com/distance-search-yellow-pages.php yellow page systems. </bio>

Tropical island beach themes are popular and beautiful, and can offer many different decorating ideas. One of the coolest and most popular ways to turn any kid's bedroom into a surfer's dream is through the use of beach surf wall murals.

These days, beach surf wall murals go on quickly and come off just as easily. Gone are the days of messy wallpaper applications that left sticky glue reside behind when you removed them from your walls. Advances in printing and materials have led to bright, vibrant, and breathtaking scenes printed on peel-and-stick vinyl wall decals. Surf wall murals depicting beach scenes, tropical backdrops, or tremendous crashing waves can be produced in ultra-realistic fashion, and in sizes never before possible. Great online sites like the Wall Sticker Outlet carry large selections of beach-themed wall decor, and always offer free shipping as well!

For the avid surfer, beach wall murals must include an array of colorful surfboards. These wall murals assemble in minutes and can be moved and hung exactly where you need them to go for instant dramatic impact. Dry-erase wall stickers in beach or surf themes are also available, and they make perfect messaging and list writing room accents for kids or teens on the go. Surf shack or beach themed growth charts are great additions to tropically decorated rooms, and wall borders are also available to fit alongside any type of beach surf wall mural.

Other wall decals and stickers can be purchased to accentuate beach surf wall murals and really make them pop! From tropical Hawaiian flowers to palm tree vinyl decals, these types of decorations fit right in. Many of these beach and surf themed stickers aren't just for walls, either. Fully removable and repositionable, these vinyl decals can be used to bring color and life to furniture, lampshades, picture frames, closets... the only limit is your own imagination. Tropical peel and stick appliques and decals also include cool 3-D products such as the tropical window wall mural made by Wallies, giving a glimpse into beach life no matter which wall you place it on.

Wall hangings and canvas beach surf wall murals can also be added to any tropically themed room. The flexibility offered here allows for these murals to be placed in addition to existing wall decor, in places where color is needed. Many types of canvas kids wall art can be customized and personalized with your child's own name at no additional cost. Try to find an artist who will do this for you, or a boutique who features such artisans.

In the end, no tropical paradise is complete without the addition of a beach surf wall mural. Make sure yours is complete with flowers, palm trees, sun, and surf. Pick colors and accessories that accent your sandy beach theme, and maybe even a few pieces of surf flair to help bring everything to life. There are hundreds of traffic exchanges on the Internet...The traffic exchanges who have the most members usually provide the best results.

A traffic exchange is a service that enables you to visit a member's website, and in exchange other members of the traffic exchange will visit your website. You will earn credits when you view someone's website, and then those credits will be used to have the other members of the traffic exchange visit your website. Most traffic exchanges will allow you to advertise more than one URL so it's possible to promote websites, affiliate links and opt-in landing pages with one account. Most of them also allow you to refer others and earn traffic credits automatically from their efforts.

There are 2 main types of Traffic Exchanges: Manual Surf and Auto Surf. With manual surf, you will need to click on a button to visit the next website in rotation and earn credits. With auto surf, you watch the websites on your computer as they appear automatically every 15 or 30 seconds and you earn credits automatically without having to lift a finger. Although both of these traffic exchanges will bring visitors to your website, the use of a manual exchange is much more likely to bring visitors who will actually read the content of a website and then subsequently take a desired action such as making a purchase or subscribing to an e-mail newsletter.

Some Traffic Exchanges have an option to upgrade or "Pro Membership".
What a difference a year can make.

12 months ago, auto surf programs were at their peak. More and more people were investing some serious cash hoping to multiply their money by as much as 12 times within a few months. At the center of this craze was Stormpay, the payment processor of choice by most of these paid-to-surf programs. Stormpay, you see, caters to a more global market. Whereas PayPal operates in selected territories, Stormpay has a wider reach. At that time, it was the best choice for auto surf companies, given the fact that Stormpay would open the doors for more people to join their programs.

And it worked.

The auto surf industry became a bustling field, where the companies as well as the investors enjoyed unbridled success. Investors were able to recoup the money they have expended, with profits soaring to fantastic rates in such short periods of time. And the companies were able to amass enough capital to finance their operations.

But that was then.

2006 welcomed the paid-to-surf industry with the grimmest news. Stormpay froze the accounts of auto-surf programs, and up to this writing, a lot of investors have yet to receive the money that have accrued to them. For those who managed to receive their pay in their accounts, they cannot withdraw the same as such amounts are traceable to the auto surf companies.

Why did things come to this?

There are two sides to the story. Stormpay claims that some of these paid-to-surf companies are using the pyramid model, which is generally outlawed since such companies do not have real assets. The auto surf companies are claiming that Stormpay is merely using the alleged irregularities as a smokescreen when the truth of the matter, according to them, is that Stormpay doesn't have enough funds to cover the withdrawals from the auto surf companies' investors.

If you would conduct your own research on the matter, you're bound to get more spins to these tales. Which is true? We'll never know until formal investigations conclude and a judicial decision is reached.

Hardest hit in this controversy is http://12dailypro.com. We could even say that http://12dailypro.com is the epoch of the issue, as they are the ones who were targeted by Stormpay's sudden crackdown.

But here's the deal: why penalize the innocent investors? If Stormpay wanted to cut its ties with the entities it perceives as unlawful, why bring down the investors as well, when such investors under such reasoning would be considered as "victims" rather than "accomplices?"

Again, the matter needs to be resolved before we could derive some conclusive answers.

Nonetheless, a lot are wondering what the state of the paid-to-surf industry is today, after the Stormpay crackdown.

For starters, more people are warier about auto surf programs. They are now afraid to invest their money, since, as Stormpay has demonstrated, their funds could be frozen at any time, without notice at that.

But the crackdown on some paid-for-surf programs have opened the doors for new players, as well as established ones that weren't affected by the controversy. Investors who have tasted the potentials of an opportunity like this have quickly jumped to other programs offering the same system but without the frightful possibility of getting killed. You may have received unsolicited emails advertising emergent paid-surf programs. Though spam mails like this are quite irritating, they may point out to a resurgent industry.

The question in everyone's mind is this: is the auto surf industry dead?

No, it is not. It suffered a setback, from which many lessons can be learned. But it has, almost instantaneously, made a comeback. The current players are a mixture of old and new parties, but the concept remains the same, albeit with more caution against possible attacks. This caution is now borne by both the companies as well as the investors.

The Stormpay-12dailypro incident may not be pretty. But it did leave us with something that will prove beneficial in the long run: the moral of a tale that would make the industry sturdier.

NOTE: You have full permission to reprint this article within your website or newsletter as long as you leave the article fully intact and include the "About The Author" resource box.
Experienced surfers have dozens of great surf breaks to choose from even if they live on the New England coast, but each of us has to decide which break to call our own on any given day. Or, if you are just starting out as a surfer, you will want to choose one break as your wave of choice and continue going there until you've expended all you could from it. All surfers must decide where to paddle out, so here's a list of criteria to help you make the most informed decision.

People

With the popularity of surfing growing all over the world, there are always surf breaks that are a bit more notorious for localism, which is never a good arena for a beginner. Surfers can be mean and possessive of their waves, so you'll want to find a break where the people are nice. If you're a people person, try to head somewhere friendly, where you won't get your head lopped off if you get into a bang up out in the water. Or, if you're kind of a loner and you can hold your own in the water, then it's okay to hit the edgier spots where people kind of grimace at you. In most cases, though, it's always nice to be around people who are friendly and can even strike up conversation with you even though you are complete strangers.

Wave Quality and Consistency

The quality of the wave depends heavily on the wind and swell conditions, so check your local surf or weather report for the latest update. There are many conditions that make a pleasant surfing experience, but you can get a good snapshot of what's going on in your area simply by looking at swell height and wind direction from a local website. Or, you can always just head on down to the beach and check for wave quality visually. Relative to wave quality, though, is the actual consistency of the sets. Sets are simply a grouping of waves that break within a period of time. You want to paddle out where sets come through at least every 15 minutes. That way, everyone out there can get a wave or two and not have to fight over the same one. Every surfer is in the water for the same reason: to have a mellow, relaxed time with little possibility of drowning. Share the waves when they're good, but still get out there when they're not so good.

Water Quality

The sky can be perfectly blue and the temperature warm, but if the water is not clean, you're certainly not going to want to paddle out. Die-hard surfers might paddle out in crappy conditions, but if there was an oil spill or sewage drain, then even they will resist getting in the water. Surfers want to be able to get their heads wet without stinking--or worse, getting sick from contaminated water. Bays generally tend to have better wave conditions but more polluted water. You have to decide which is more important to you. Check your local website for water quality conditions in your area, especially after it rains.

A few other things to look for in a surf break are freshwater showers, functioning bathrooms, and safety. If you tend to surf before or after work and don't have time to run home to change, you should absolutely find a break with a shower and bathroom. It's also advisable to choose a break that has a lifeguard or is close to water rescue. Also consider surfing at a break that doesn't have rocks jutting out from the water at low tide, or with notorious rip currents that can suck you out to sea. Ask friends who surf where they like to go. As you continue surfing, you will generate a longer list and discover more secret spots.<bio>Robb Bailey works for South Coast Surf Shops, San Diego's premiere surfboard distributor and surf apparel dealer for more than 30 years. This drew a great deal of attention to the Waikiki surf shore, bringing a revitalized interest in the sport, which had fallen out of favor in the late 1800s. Duke Kahanamoku, an Olympic star in swimming, popularized the sport further by traveling internationally and showing off his surfing style to thrilled audiences around the world. He was favored by Hollywood elite; having acted in bit parts in films and was always recruiting new surfers wherever he went. He is credited with surfing the longest wave of all time in 1917, in the popular surfing area now called Outside Castles in Waikiki. His 1000 meters plus wave record has yet to be overtaken.

In the 1930s, the sport of surfing was experiencing a Renaissance. Tom Blake, founder of the Pacific Coast Surf Championships that ended with the onset of war in 1941, was the first man to photograph surfing from the water. Another photographer and surfer named Doc Ball published California Surfriders 1946, which depicts the pristine coastal beaches and good-time, relaxed atmosphere of surf living. Surfing, although curtailed in the aftermath of WWII, revived as always by the 1950s. Bud Browne, an accomplished surfer and waterman, created the first `surf movie' with his 1953 "Hawaiian Surfing Movie". This inspired many photographers, filmmakers and surfers to continue documenting the sport, culminating with is arguably the best surf movie of all time, 1963's "Endless Summer" by Bruce Brown. The film opened up the genre of the surf movie and the art of surfing to non-surfing people, accumulating fans and inspiring neophytes.

Although surfing was a male-dominated sport, adventurous women surfers can be seen all the way back to the times of the Polynesian Queens. Two notable `surfer girls' were Eve Fletcher and Anona Napolean. Eve Fletcher was a California-born animator for Walt Disney and Anona Napolean was the daughter of a respected Hawaiian surfing family. The two pioneered the sport for modern women, winning surfing competitions up and down the California coast at the end of the 50s and into the 60s. Hollywood was quick to be on the scene and with the 1959 film "Gidget", surfing was flung far out into the mainstream, never to return to its humble, ritualistic beginnings. "Gidget" inspired a slew of "Beach Blanket Bingo" movies that brought surfing to a new generation of teens and inspiring a new genre of `surf music' that accompanied films and made The Beach Boys more famous than Elvis in the 60s.

Surfing spread throughout all media and Surfing Magazine was born in the early 1960s by famous surf photographer, LeRoy Grannis. After that, other publications cropped up bringing more information on the sport, equipment and stars of the surfing scene. John Severson, an accomplished filmmaker and photographer, created Surfer Magazine, originally called "The Surfer". These publications brought advertising, professional surfing, surf culture and publicity to the now very popularized sport. <bio>Also visit http://theworldsbesthomepage.com/blog/category/sports/ </bio>

There are many reasons someone would want to surf the internet anonymously. Many people think that internet privacy is only for those trying to hide something, but that simply is not the case. Internet privacy is essential for normal people like you who value their identity and rights. As governments, search engines, and marketers use increasingly more aggressive methods for tracking what you do online, the need for internet privacy has increased. Government agencies continue to push the boundaries of what they collect and demand from internet service providers, search engines, and individual website owners.

How They're Tracking You

Every time you get online, you run the risk of identify theft. Even seemingly harmless tasks like checking email and the news open you up to vulnerabilities. Website owners and statistics tracking systems can pinpoint the sites you've visited last, your geographic location, and details about your browser and operating system. Worse, spyware and malevolent data tracking systems called cookies can track even more information about your surfing habits. For example, most web browsers today can save passwords for the sites that you visit. While this feature is convenient for us, criminals can often find and use this information to access your email accounts, online banking, and credit card accounts.x

Why They're Tracking You

A large number of people are interested in your surfing habits, from marketing agencies to government agencies. Marketers want to know your buying habits in order to serve you more targeted offers. Governments may be interested in censoring the information you access. While not everyone tracking you may have evil intent, it is dangerous to leave your safety in the hands of others.

How to Stop Them From Tracking You

The best, and perhaps only, way for you to prevent this data collection is to surf the web anonymously. Anonymous surfing can be accomplished by using proxy servers that randomize your IP address as you surf the internet Proxy servers act as a middleman between you and the web sites you visit, preventing anyone from personally identifying you and your surfing habits. Protecting your internet privacy is essential for protecting you and your family from those who wish to harm you. Using proxy servers is an effective way to do this. <bio>TIP Tunnel protects you from security and privacy threats, and allows you to surf the web completely anonymously.
Called the surfing capital of Britain, Newquay is the center of UK's surfing industry. It is home to a lot of surf shops and board manufacturers. One of the reasons that placed Newquay in every surfer's map is the Fistral Beach.

Fistral Beach is the major surfing beach in this side of the world. It is situated in Newquay, in Cornwall. The 2,500 feet long beach is straight and faces the North-West to the Atlantic Ocean. A tourist can stay in one of the hotels in Newquay.

Fistral Beach can get crowded in the summer season but this is already expected because of its world class waves although surf consistency is constant, having good waves for 150 days a year. The waves here are beach-break and they go right and left. What's nice about Fistral is that its bottom is sandy therefore you won't get cuts unlike in areas where it has coral bottoms. Surfers of every level can enjoy the waves Fistral has to offer. The waves can be hollow, fast, or ordinary.

You can walk from the road to the beach. It is quite easy to find with lots of signs posted. Like stated before, you might want to avoid the weekend crowd although it can get crowded even on week days.

There are three main surfing spots in Fistral Beach. There's Little Fistral, which is where the crowd are. This spot doesn't work on high tides. North Fistral is the best beach break in the United Kingdom. And finally we have South Fistral. It has nice lefts coming from the rocks. Little and North Fistral are busy while South Fistral is the best if you want lesser crowds.

The legendary cribbar is a reef that is located below the north of Fistral. It only breaks on the biggest swells. It is considered to be Cornwall's greatest wave that can go up to 40 feet in height, although it might be small according to the other big wave spots around the world. The cribbar can be observed from the Fistral Beach.

The British Surfing Association calls the north end of the bay its home, along with Newquay Boardrider Club and the Newquay Surf Life Saving Club. Headland Hotel, probably one of the best hotels in Newquay, is also located here.

The Fistral Beach hosts major surfing events and tournaments. That's the reason why a competition suite was made for the judges and competitors at North Fistral. Here you can also find surf shop, surf museum and facilities that rents out boards and wetsuits for those interested.

Fistral Beach is definitely the place to go when you're in Newquay. It is better than most beaches in the area, Watergate included. Towan, Tolcarne, and Great Western beaches are just some of the surf beaches are also located in Newquay.

And when night comes, Newquay's nightlife is alive. It is home to nightclubs such as Sailor's and Berties. Well known DJs sometimes play in these clubs. And when it's time to rest, you'll find plenty of hotels in Newquay to service your needs.<bio>Openroads is a great source for tourists or visitors looking for Hotels in Newquay, offering a fine selection of places to stay in Newquay for budgets of all types.</bio>

Proxies are used to unblock internet access, simplifying access to any piece of information on the internet without revealing the identity. Proxy websites are available for free and many people use proxies to make money. Certain proxy websites allow you to surf the internet for free, while some need a login. Common proxy scripts used by proxies are PHP proxy and CGI proxy. Since these scripts are available for free, many proxies are flooding the market. This increases the threat of spyware and other malicious programs if you use malicious proxies.

You are looking for proxies to gain access to those websites blocked in your campus etc. The proxy you choose to surf should allow access to those websites you want. This is an essential feature you have to look, when you search for a proxy. If you are looking for access to messengers, you should search for proxies, which allow you access to messengers from their website. This is possible with the increasing number of proxies on the internet. Popular proxies allow access to most of the common file types, without any restriction.

The proxy you choose to surf the internet should hide your ip address. Whenever you type a URL, several information including your ip address, browser type etc. will be sent to the server. The proxy website should hide your ip address as well as server URL to fool the proxy server. Now when you surf the internet from a proxy, your proxy server will understand that you are browsing a single website. This way you can browse all blocked websites without a problem.

Network managers are also aware of proxies and all popular proxies are blocked. Usage statistics will reveal the use of a specific website and so, out of suspicion, your network manager may block the proxy website you are using. You don't have to worry as there are hundreds of proxy websites across the internet. You can find a new proxy everyday and gain access to all websites you want to view eventhough they are blocked.

Those who give a free proxy website make money with advertisements. Whenever you open a proxy website, you can see many advertisements. If you want advertisement-free surfing, you should pay for subscription. Maximum anonymity and much more features are available for paid members, but you can still surf the internet from the proxy without paying anything.

Cookies are essential elements present in your computer, but they disclose all private information. A proxy should be capable of filtering these cookies. Even though complete filtration of private information is not possible, intelligent proxies encode cookies making them unreadable by the proxy server. Your privacy is protected when you use such proxies. Filtering and blocking scripts are important features to look for in a proxy, if you are going to use proxy for anonymous surfing. Harmful scripts, which attack your computer are blocked by the proxy ensuring safe and secure surfing.

Speed of surfing should not be compromised when you use proxy for surfing the internet. This is an important feature you should look for in any proxy you choose. When you search the proxy listings, you can find many such sites offering unblocked access. Choose wisely and enjoy the power of the internet without any limits.<bio>I Askd.com offers a large variety of information - from how to find proxies to helping you find out where you can get free proxy servers.</bio>

You are not actually up and surfing unless you can pop up and stand on the board while it is on a wave. The act of popping up is a very scary endeavor at first, yet it is the key to surfing success. Getting the hang of this vital surfing move really is just a matter of practice. Practice, practice, practice. Most beginners find that practicing a pop-up on the beach helps tremendously before trying it in the water. Learning this skill is good exercise and builds muscle and strength.

When you are starting out, it is a great idea to practice popping up on a surface that's stable and flat. Anything like beach sand or grass will do. Your living room floor works great for this! Start with your belly on the ground. Then, like a push-up, push your arms and torso up, keeping your belly button pressed close to the floor. One second after that movement, swing your knees through your arms and jump up into a crouching position with your stronger foot slightly farther back. Throughout this movement, concentrate on your balance. Your knees should still be bent and will act as shock absorbers while riding down the face of the wave. Practice popping up on land several times in a row, making sure your end position is the same each time. Your weight should slightly favor your front foot once you've popped up into your crouched standing position. Eventually that initial crouch position will feel automatic even when you're on the board in the water.

Balance is the critical ingredient to popping up. As you catch the wave, your body should be positioned perfectly in the center of your board. If you are too far forward on your board, you will "pearl," which means the nose of your board will catch the wave and you will fall forward before being able to pop up. If you are too far back on your board, you will not be able to catch the wave either. Find a happy medium in the center of your board before you begin paddling for the wave, which you can remember by the feel of it and also by some marker or label on the board itself. Usually, there is a surfboard label on the deck of the board that you can use to situate yourself before paddling for a wave.

Paddle hard for the wave before it comes. Get at least three good strokes inand#8213;five or more is ideal to ensure you catch the wave you're after. When you feel yourself being propelled by the wave, push the board down with both arms and lift your torso up. At the same time, you should apply just a little more weight to the back of the board. As soon as you feel ready and when you feel the board actually move forward on the wave, jump up to your feet in the crouched position with your weaker foot in front of your stronger one, just like you practiced on land.

Popping up is always easier during the first 30 minutes of each surfing session because, though you might not realize it, this action takes a great deal of energy. You usually have better rides during the first half of the surf session because you are more committed and have more energy. Since you will have greater success when you're fresh in the water, try to concentrate your practice of popping up early on in each surf session. Eventually, you'll get this motion right and it will come easier and naturally to you.<bio>Robb Bailey works for South Coast Surf Shops, San Diego's premiere surfboard distributor and surf apparel dealer for more than 30 years.
If you have been online for any length of time I am sure you have seen that there are literally hundreds of internet sites that allow you to advertise your website in a rotation with hundreds or even thousands of other home based business websites. Most of them allow you to join for free and you can earn free credits to get your site seen in the rotation. You can also purchase credits and you can usually upgrade to a pro version, which gives you additional exposure.

Several of these surf programs will even allow you to place banner impressions which will cost you money, or they can be exchanged for credits you have earned or purchased. I have seen a couple which will allow you to place a solo ad that is e-mailed to the members of the surf club. The solo ads cost money for the advertiser but the member reading the solo ad gets surf credits for reading the solo ad. As an advertiser this gives you the security of knowing that your ad probably will be read.

Most surf programs also give you the ability to become an affiliate for these sites. The more people who join through you gives you more advertising credits, and even money in some cases.

My first impression of this type of advertising was that what good would it do me to have my ad being shown to thousands of other advertisers, who are surfing for credits to advertise their own home based business? When I first signed up for a few different ones my only focus was to get as many credits as possible to get my ad exposed. Initially I was very disappointed and thought it just was a waste of time, since no one bought right away.

Keeping a careful eye on the different ads that I would see in these rotations, I started to notice that alot of the big names you see. The guru type names you hear about were also advertising on these rotators. My thought was it must be working for them or they would not waste their time with it. The next thing I noticed was that the guru names I recognized, or the ads I would see over and over again month after month, usually were not trying to sell something on a one time shot. The method they were using was to give away a free product such as a free news letter or piece of software or free educational video. Their whole purpose was to capture your e-mail for their list.

They say the money is in the list, and that is what their ads were designed to do! Build their list.

Millions of people join a home based business program or mlm, or affiliate type program and have no idea what to do, are confused, or not given any guidance once they sign up. These people are also surfing for credits and are prime candidates since they are not succeeding with the program they are advertising. if you can convey in your ad that your program or product will work for them, you have a potential client reading your ad.

My study of surf programs has given me the insight to know that they can work and are a valuable way of marketing your home based business if used properly. I can not think of a cheaper way to get your site seen thousands of times. Keep in mind that you will need alot of exposure, and good ad copy, since you only get about twenty seconds to capture their interest.

To Your Success, Timothy Duffett <bio>Timothy Duffett is an affiliate home based business marketer specializing in residual affiliate marketing program's: To find the best home based business ideas and opportunities so you can work at home visit: http://www.ezpluginprofitsite.com </bio>

It's time to consider internet privacy and security and whether and how an internet proxy server can help.

Generally Speaking: What Do Security and Privacy Mean to Us?

What is security to you? Knowing that your home is locked? Having a car alarm? Security is a relative term and it means something different to each person. For example, some people would find having a car alarm to be over-the-top while others would find a car alarm to be a necessity.

Now let's ask what privacy means to you. Privacy, too, is totally subjective. Some people hate to use public restrooms while others enjoy nudist beaches.

Clarifying These Concepts Online and How an Internet Proxy Can Help

So if security and privacy are such vague concepts in our culture, how do you define and put them into action on the internet? How can they be regulated?

The answer is personal=97it comes down to preference. Did you know that when you surf the internet your online behavior is constantly being tracked and potentially documented? Does that make you uncomfortable?

An internet proxy, without getting into too much technical jargon, is a way to surf online with a bit more anonymity. If you're able to be at least somewhat anonymous when you surf the net, perhaps you'll feel a bit more comfortable, for starters.

Other benefits of using an internet proxy to give you privacy online are that it can help prevent identity theft and spam. That means safety and security for you and your family. Who doesn't want more of that?

The Twisted Web

The internet can seem exciting, fun, and friendly. Never before has there been such a vast library of multimedia, interactive entertainment, business communication and more! And it's all at your fingertips, right in the privacy of your home or office!

With all this zeal that the web incites in us, we forget what a dangerous place it can be. And because we are at home using the net a lot of the time, we think we are in a private, safe place. That is a grave misperception, unfortunately!

The web is neither safe nor private. Having an internet proxy is one way that you can safeguard yourself from the dangers that lie in waiting to prey on you and your loved ones.

One thing that occurs when you are online is that small text files called "cookies" are collected and stored right on your computer about the sites you visited. Sites can access these cookies and this is a potential invasion of privacy. You can configure how your internet browser handles cookies, but a proxy is another way to help.

What Else Helps for Online Safety and Privacy?

A proxy is one method of giving you increased security and privacy online, but it is not an end-all be-all solution, and is not the only solution. Some other things you should consider are using a router (instead of connecting directly to your modem), enabling the Windows Firewall, and getting anti-spyware and anti-virus programs. These programs can detect, prevent, and remove attacks and other issues that come from malicious websites online.

Keep in mind, though, that there are no secrets online, so surf accordingly. You may feel private, and you may be taking precautions, but there will always be someone who knows how to access your information if they really need to (such as the authorities, if you are up to no good!). <bio>Check out our proxy list at http://www.atproxy.net/ </bio>

If you're just learning to surf, the kind of board you use is second to learning the ins and outs of the sport, but once you've gotten a handle on the sport and the different ways boards ride on a wave, you will come to understand the art of choosing your perfect surfboard.

Many beginners learn how to surf on a long board, a board that is at least nine feet long. Any board longer than nine feet will be much easier to learn on because it will be much more comfortable to lie down on, much faster to paddle out to the break, and much easier to catch a wave. With time, practice, and patience, you will be standing up on your long board and catching waves in no time. At that point, you may consider a smaller board.

Let's talk a bit more about the advantages of the long board. The factors that allow you to catch a wave are the size of the wave, the velocity of the wave, and the quality of your board. The key for beginners is to not get a board that is too short or too narrow. You will be much happier starting out on a long, wide board, as you will catch more waves and get more practice standing up. You'll have far less inclination to lug a heavy board around with you, so find a board that is light enough to carry around. The thickness of the board doesn't matter as much, but try to get a board that will fit comfortably under your arm or one that you can actually carry for at least two blocks.

As a general rule of thumb, you don't want a board that seems discolored or overly worn or tired. You want a board that still has a little life in it and you shouldn't be afraid to ding it up a bit. Beginners definitely shouldn't buy new boards. The ideal situation for beginning surfers would be to borrow a board from a friend, buy a used board, or purchase a long-term (seasonal) rental. Don't worry about buying something fancy. Just get something that will get you in the water, keep you coming back for more, and will stand the test of time.

Short-boarding beginners might prefer a "fish," which tends to be short (about six to seven feet in length) and wide (about 20 inches). Fish-shaped boards provide a little more float for the rider, which is a help to beginning surfers. Fish-shaped boards may be a little harder to turn and duck dive, but they will help you get the feel of short boarding and provide enough confidence for you to continue learning. As is the case with beginner long boards, your beginner short board should also be newer (10 years old at most) and should not have dings, holes, bumps, or bruises.

If you have a decent budget, you could opt for the practically indestructible epoxy board. Epoxy boards, as opposed to cheaper fiberglass boards, last longer and are machine made. They're good for beginners because they don't ding as easily (and, as a beginner, you will find that your board is difficult to carry without bumping into things).

Finally, if you don't feel completely comfortable on the board, don't worry too muchand#8213;you'll get used to it. Get something decent enough to keep you paddling out for a year and trade up for a better, faster board when you're ready.<bio>Robb Bailey works for South Coast Surf Shops, San Diego's premiere surfboard distributor and surf apparel dealer for more than 30 years.
