<content:encoded><![CDATA[ <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/becoming+an+entrepreneur" rel="tag">Becoming an entrepreneur</a> is something that a lot of people dream about. After all, these are the people who you hear about in the news making tons of money, and living the good life. Of course, not all entrepreneurs are rich, but it can be quite fun to live this kind of life. But before you decide that being an entrepreneur is right for you, there are some things that you will need to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/take+a+closer+look" rel="tag">take a closer look</a> at. Remember, if being a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+entrepreneur" rel="tag">successful entrepreneur</a> was a piece of cake everybody would be doing it. This is not to say that you have no chance of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneurial+success" rel="tag">entrepreneurial success</a>, but you cannot simply jump into this and expect to start raking in loads of cash. <br /><br /> Here are three tips for becoming a successful entrepreneur. At the very least, they should be able to push you in the right direction towards success. <br /><br /> 1. A successful entrepreneur is one who knows what they want, and then works hard to get it. In other words, you should set your sights on a goal, and then do <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/whatever+it+takes" rel="tag">whatever it takes</a> to reach it. A lot of people jump from opportunity to opportunity without ever really sinking their teeth in. You should avoid this at all costs, and instead work hard to reach one goal before you move onto the next. <br /><br /> 2. Do you think that all entrepreneurs become rich and successful over night? The fact of the matter is that there are only a small percentage of people who fall into their success. If you want to be a successful entrepreneur you need to be willing to exercise some patience. Your first idea may not take off, but if you stick with things you will realize your potential <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sooner+rather+than+later" rel="tag">sooner rather than later</a>. If you are searching for a quick buck, you will probably be a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/disappointed" rel="tag">disappointed</a> entrepreneur. <br /><br /> 3. There is nothing wrong with asking other entrepreneurs for help. Everybody needs some assistance along the way, and you are probably no different. If you know an entrepreneur friend, let them guide you if they are willing to assist. After all, getting first hand advice from an already successful entrepreneur is invaluable. <br /><br /> These three tips may go a long way in helping you to become a successful, and hopefully rich, entrepreneur. Of course, just like anything in life there is no guarantee. Only you will be able to determine the level of success you have in this new venture. If you want to be an entrepreneur who is all over the news, you need to go out and work for the right to do so. Nobody is going to make things easy on you, but successful entrepreneurs are born everyday. There is no reason that you cannot join them at the top. <bio>Ramiro Trevi=F1o is a writer, online entrepreneur, and a real estate investor who has grown his internet enterprise into a flourishing business. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ If you were to look up the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/word+entrepreneur" rel="tag">word entrepreneur</a> in the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dictionary" rel="tag">dictionary</a> you would find that it means "a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, a business usually with considerable initiative and risk." These days the term entrepreneur is used so much that it seems like everybody from <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stay+at+home+moms" rel="tag">stay at home moms</a>, to the local <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tattoo+artist" rel="tag">tattoo artist</a>, are claiming to be such. The truth is that as fancy as this word maybe, anyone can be an entrepreneur. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> Entrepreneurs can be any shape, size, age, race or religion. What makes an entrepreneur an entrepreneur is commitment, the willingness to lead and the passion to succeed. There are certain characteristics that many of the world's most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+entrepreneurs" rel="tag">successful entrepreneurs</a> share. Listed below are a few traits that can help you determine if you truly are an entrepreneur. <br /><br /> Great Focus - <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/true+entrepreneurs" rel="tag">True entrepreneurs</a> have great focus. These are individuals that once they have a goal set, no one or nothing can stop them from accomplishing that goal. <br /><br /> Creative - Most entrepreneurs have a seemingly effortless way of being creative. Thinking outside the box; that characteristic alone creates a greater earning potential for their business. <br /><br /> Good With Money - Being able to keep track and manage money wisely is another well-known characteristic of an entrepreneur. Knowing where every dollar and cent is and where they are going is very important to entrepreneurs. <br /><br /> Decision Maker - One who can make big decisions on their own without worrying about others opinions. Being able to stand behind their decision without any doubt whatsoever. <br /><br /> The Ability To Lead - Most entrepreneurs put themselves in the position of being the boss. In this instance, the individual must be able to lead and give direction to others in a clear and productive manner. <br /><br /> Always Learning - True entrepreneurs never stop learning. They are always eager to discover new, more efficient ways to make their business more successful. Learning is a desire, not a necessity for these people. <br /><br /> Fearless - Having no fear is definitely a characteristic of a entrepreneur. Not fearing critics, competitors, consumers and most of all, not fearing failure. Not fearing these things is automatic for any real entrepreneur. <br /><br /> The list above will help you determine if you are indeed an entrepreneur. If you are not an entrepreneur, but aspire to be one you will need to develop most if not all of these traits. If you take the time to embrace and practice these traits; you will be well on your way to becoming a successful entrepreneur! <bio><a href="http://www.successfulhomebusinesssecret.com" >http://www.successfulhomebusinesssecret.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Do you dream of sacking your boss? Do you feel an urge to succeed in business with just a good idea and a lot of hard work? <br /><br /> An unstable economy and increasing costs makes most of us too nervous to consider such a drastic move. Being a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+entrepreneur" rel="tag">successful entrepreneur</a> requires you have certain qualities and characteristics and a certain mindset. <br /><br /> That 9 year old <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/selling+lemonade" rel="tag">selling lemonade</a> on the sidewalk on a hot summer's day is really a successful entrepreneur. He or she is betting that a cold glass of lemonade will appeal to many people walking pass. He must be sure he's got plenty of lemonade, cups to serve his product, a table and a box for his money to make change for his customers. That's the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneurial+spirit" rel="tag">entrepreneurial spirit</a>. <br /><br /> A successful entrepreneur must have a little of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/risk+taking" rel="tag">risk taking</a> spirit. You must be willing to risk losing your capital, while realizing the opportunity can also pay off in a big way. You've got to be willing to take a chance on something, anything. You've got to be a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/creative+thinker" rel="tag">creative thinker</a>, decent planner, well-disciplined, organized, persuasive and lastly, well funded. A good product would certainly help as well. <br /><br /> Let's look at each element of a successful entrepreneur. <br /><br /> Do you have that risk taking spirit? Remember, if <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/things+go+wrong" rel="tag">things go wrong</a>, you stand to lose the capital you've invested. Can you accept such an outcome? <br /><br /> Creative, innovative thinking demands inspection of your idea from all angles. Sketch out a number of ways you might execute your plan. There is always at least several different paths. Look for flaws in each preliminary plan. A successful entrepreneur irons out the details before launching the project. <br /><br /> Which brings us to planning and organization - A successful entrepreneur knows that these skills are a necessity. Try to anticipate the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/monkey+wrench" rel="tag">monkey wrench</a> you might run up against. Do your homework, and do it thoroughly. You want to eliminate every possibility for failure due to lack of planning. You must be organized and disciplined enough, along with good alternative options and routes in place when an obstacle presents. <br /><br /> If you can tackle your objective with these attitudes in place, you are on your way to being a successful entrepreneur. <bio>For the latest in reviews and articles on <a href="http://www.articledirectoryzone.com/online-surveys/free-make-money-online-survey.html" >http://www.articledirectoryzone.com/online-surveys/free-make-money-online-survey.html</a> and online businesses. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[According to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wikipedia" rel="tag">Wikipedia</a>, "An entrepreneur is a person who undertakes and operates a new enterprise or venture and assumes some accountability for the inherent risks. In the context of the creation of for-profit enterprises, entrepreneur is often <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/synonymous" rel="tag">synonymous</a> with founder." <br /><br /> Let's see if we can break this definition down into bite sized chunks. <br /><br /> Entrepreneur as an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/undertaker" rel="tag">Undertaker</a> <br /><br /> This term indicates a certain amount of initiative that drives an individual to do something tangible with an idea they have conceived. This initiative is in context of a business startup. <br /><br /> Entrepreneur as an Operator <br /><br /> This term is indicative of an individual willing to get in the thick of things and develop the business from the standpoint of administrator and marketer. In effect, an entrepreneur must be willing to do everything needed to manage the business they are seeking to develop. <br /><br /> Entrepreneur and Accountability <br /><br /> An entrepreneur understands that the buck stops with them. They are willing to be responsible in the development and affairs of the business. <br /><br /> Entrepreneur as Risk Taker <br /><br /> There will always be the risk that a business startup will fail, but the risk an entrepreneur puts forth may also result in a profitable business. The entrepreneur understands the risks and determines to move forward in spite of those risks. <br /><br /> Entrepreneur as Founder <br /><br /> In the context of a successful business start up the entrepreneur is listed as the founder of the business. This individual did what it took to move their idea from the thought process to a reality. This is hard work and, if successful, their name will always be linked to the business. Some may consider this to be a portion of the legacy of the individual; certainly it can be a highpoint in a person's work history. <br /><br /> There is an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/exhilaration" rel="tag">exhilaration</a> that comes with entrepreneurialism. The road may be difficult and you may have to get creative in solving problems you've never encountered, but you are, in that moment, the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/quintessential" rel="tag">quintessential</a> entrepreneur. You have chosen to take the initiative to operate a business. You have determined to be accountable for all phases of your business startup and you recognize and accept the risks involved in business development. <br /><br /> Entrepreneurialism is not for the faint of heart, but for those who walk through the various steps listed above there is an incredible amount of satisfaction knowing that the work you have done will not only benefit yourself and your family, but the customers who will benefit from the product or service you provide. <bio>Scott Lindsay is a web developer and entrepreneur. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Over the years countless institutes and individuals have asked the million <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dollar+question" rel="tag">dollar question</a>. What makes an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneur" rel="tag">entrepreneur</a> an entrepreneur? What traits or characteristics are inherent to a successful entrepreneur and is one born with those traits? There's great news! <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+entrepreneurs" rel="tag">Successful entrepreneurs</a> are born every day! <br /><br /> Some people believe an entrepreneur is born while others believe an entrepreneur can be taught. Some believe an entrepreneur is like an artist - either you have it or do you don't. Some see entrepreneurs as leaders that are focused, disciplined, competitive, and charismatic, while others see them as huge <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/risk+takers" rel="tag">risk takers</a>. And all of these analogies are right to some degree. <br /><br /> It's true all successful <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneurs+share" rel="tag">entrepreneurs share</a> a few qualities and skills that allow them to be successful. These inherent qualities can be taught; but they often seem to be an inherent driving force that sends individuals down the path of being in business or formally training to for a career in business. <br /><br /> Entrepreneurs see the world differently. They have the ability to see the world as a system. They have the ability to see something in its entirety and as an integrated unit, and they seem to possess the ability to see opportunity within the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/global+picture" rel="tag">global picture</a>. They are what is called a system thinker. <br /><br /> There are other characteristics they possess. Entrepreneurs possess an overpowering need to achieve and tend to be very competitive against themselves. They are continuously trying to outthink themselves and others and they are constantly looking for the edge. This is a process that occurs as naturally as breathing and is a driving force behind most entrepreneurs. <br /><br /> They have the determination and dedication to follow through with commitments and they always appear confident and in control. You'll notice they also possess a positive atmosphere. They are of the mindset "I can," and "I will." They are not afraid of failure because failure is not in their vocabulary nor is it an option. <br /><br /> They are objective but have the ability to weigh risks realistically within the big picture. They have an uncanny ability to anticipate developments which gives them the edge on many competitive situations. Entrepreneurs seem to feel right from their gut, call it instinct. They are a resourceful group that possess excellent problem solving skills and are able to diligently work through obstacles as they occur. <br /><br /> Entrepreneurs are excellent communicators and recognize how important clear and concise communication is to their success. They also possess a sound working knowledge of the business they are involved in. <br /><br /> When it comes to successful entrepreneurs it's a question of what came first, the chicken or the egg. Is it inherent qualities that we are born with that lead us to be entrepreneurs or is it when we choose to become an entrepreneur that we develop the skills and qualities of success? That's a question we shall leave to the great debaters to resolve. <br /><br /> What is for certain is that successful entrepreneurs are born every day and that you too can be a successful entrepreneur by developing the skills of success. <bio>Gray Rollins is a featured writer for YourEntrepreneurs. <content:encoded><![CDATA[There is no doubt that many people would like to know exactly how to become a successful online entrepreneur.<br><br>For a start let us take a look at the dictionary <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/definition+of+entrepreneur" rel="tag">definition of entrepreneur</a>. I think we need to be clear about what exactly an entrepreneur is before going any further.<br><br><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cambridge+dictionaries" rel="tag">Cambridge dictionaries</a> online define an entrepreneur as someone who starts their own business, especially when this involves risks.<br><br>So there is no confusion here. It is very clear. If you start your own business you are an entrepreneur but it does seem to have to also include an element of risk.<br><br>You could argue that any new business involves risk and that is certainly true, but <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+entrepreneur" rel="tag">successful entrepreneur</a>s are willing to take much greater risks than your average new business starter.<br><br>How exactly do you become a successful entrepreneur? Well that has to be the million dollar question. If there were a prescribed and reliable formula, we would all be multi millionaires. There would be no risk and so paradoxically, perhaps no more entrepreneurs!<br><br>There are definite characteristics that all successful entrepreneurs seem to share, such as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/absolute+dedication" rel="tag">absolute dedication</a> to achieving their goals.<br><br>So what drives an entrepreneur and what makes them different to most other people? What is their vision compared to mere mortals?<br><br>For certain there are a number of qualities they all share and without them, they would probably not be entrepreneurs.<br><br><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneurial+qualities" rel="tag">Entrepreneurial qualities</a> You could say that any person willing to work hard at their own business is an entrepreneur but it has to be more than that. Many people try to make it on their own, and many, in fact most, fail, often just giving up because their efforts did not produce the hoped for results quickly enough.<br><br>The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/true+entrepreneur" rel="tag">true entrepreneur</a> is remorseless in the pursuit of their goal. It is as much about achievement as it is about money but the money, as you might guess, is the real proof of success.<br><br>Entrepreneurialism has making money at its heart and the means to achieving this is almost incidental.<br><br>You could sum up the major qualities of a successful entrepreneur as follows.<br><br>A successful entrepreneur thinks outside the box and is never satisfied with mediocrity in any part of their life.<br><br>A successful entrepreneur is not necessarily obsessive, but is extremely highly motivated and committed to achieving their goal.<br><br>The journey will be determined by its likelihood of success, not because it is enjoyable or laudable (although it might be either or both). Ultimately the enjoyment is in the success.<br><br>All successful entrepreneurs leverage the efforts of others. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Since there are so many franchise opportunities out there it can be difficult to evaluate them all and decide on the best one for you, especially if you are over the age of 50. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fortunately" rel="tag">Fortunately</a>, there are plenty of franchise opportunities for the 50 plus <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneur" rel="tag">entrepreneur</a>. Perhaps this brief overview will give you some new business ideas that you could research and pursue! <br /><br /> The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/best+franchise+opportunities" rel="tag">best franchise opportunities</a> for the 50 plus entrepreneur are ones that are based on the entrepreneur's past business experience, skills, liquidity, and personal desires. Generally, franchises benefit significantly from 50 plus <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/franchise+owners" rel="tag">franchise owners</a> because of their experience in the corporate world, knowledge, and investment ability. One really interesting fact about <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/baby+boomers" rel="tag">baby boomers</a> and franchise opportunities is that these individuals can be extremely successful with a franchise that has a proven business model but a product they know nothing about. <br /><br /> For example, a baby boomer who has thirty years of corporate experience in banking, as an executive, or many years in sales and marketing may find that a franchise that sells art, hamburgers, or shoes is the most profitable franchise for them. Why? Because that particular franchise has all the proven methods for successfully doing business and this is what is important to the entrepreneur. The final product is not really important, but the way that product is marketed and sold is. <br /><br /> An entrepreneur over 50 might find certain franchises lucrative based on their successful business models and they don't need to be age old franchises either. Some entrepreneurs might be interested in buying a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mcdonalds+franchise" rel="tag">McDonalds franchise</a> just because it is so well known and successful. However, other entrepreneurs might want to invest in a franchise that is new to the market but has a well planned model for doing business. <br /><br /> Many over 50 entrepreneurs are finding plenty of business opportunities on the Internet. Since these individuals are becoming more technically savvy they <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/search+the+web" rel="tag">search the web</a> and find out what franchises are new to the market, how they work, their return on investment and more. This allows this special group of entrepreneurs to invest in a franchise they believe has the best chance for success in a particular market and the actual product or service being offered or sold is not of top importance. <br /><br /> The reason over 50 entrepreneurs can do this is because they are experienced and understand that their number one goal is to make money. So, the most important thing to do is find a franchise that is capable of making money- not one that sells a product or service that simply looks appealing. That can help the entrepreneur enjoy the business more, but it is not a priority. In fact you will see many franchisers looking for new franchisees and state that experience in the business is not necessary. Over 50 entrepreneurs already know this because they are often times more flexible than young entrepreneurs, and are generally more willing to work with an established franchise's business model in order to make money. <br /><br /> A senior businessperson with great experience is definitely a welcome fit for many franchise business opportunities today! <bio>Find <a href="http://www.franchisegator.com" >http://www.franchisegator.com</a> franchises, franchise opportunities and information for entrepreneurs at Franchise Gator. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[It's a great time to be an entrepreneur--in the last decade, technology has leveled the playing field and propelled an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneurial+revolution" rel="tag">entrepreneurial revolution</a>. As an entrepreneur, you now have more access to information that enables you to make more intelligent choices more quickly. You have an advantage over big businesses in that you're lighter, more flexible, and faster on your feet. You can <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/target" rel="tag">target</a> new markets more quickly, and you can turn on a dime. <br /><br /> But being a successful entrepreneur requires that you look at the big picture and follow a plan through from beginning to end. Rieva Lesonsky, editor-in-chief of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneur+magazine" rel="tag">Entrepreneur Magazine</a> gives some practical guidelines that can help you when beginning your own enterprise: <br /><br /> 1.Don't Quit Your Day Job. Consider starting your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/business+part" rel="tag">business part</a>-time, especially if it's online, while you're working and have a steady income. It usually takes six months to a year to get a business going and you don't want your ability to make your house payment to hinge upon your company being an overnight success. Start with what you can manage, financially and time-wise, and scale up as your business grows. <br /><br /> 2.Find Your Niche. The days of general stores are over. Particularly online, consumers are looking for stores that specialize. You have to find a need--something a specific group of people want, but can't get at the big chain stores--and fill it. Advises Lesonsky, "You can't compete with the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/big+guys" rel="tag">big guys</a>, so you have to find where the big guys aren't and go into your niches." <br /><br /> 3.Have an Online <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/presence" rel="tag">Presence</a>. Even if you're not planning to start an online <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/retail+business" rel="tag">retail business</a>, consider that the internet can still play a valuable role in your company. Having an online presence eliminates the limitations of physical location and broadens your customer base by, literally, millions. It's also a great tool for promoting yourself and letting people, even in your own area, know that you're there, and what you're doing. <br /><br /> 4.Refuse to Quit. Successful entrepreneurship requires creativity, energy, and a drive to keep going when you fail. Few people realize that before Bill Gates created the extremely successful Microsoft 3.0, he created a Microsoft 1.0 and 2.0, both of which flopped--but he kept at it. And that determination and refusal to give up is what will separate successful entrepreneurs from unsuccessful ones. Says Lesonsky, "Arm yourself with optimism to get beyond the 'No' or the trouble. There's nothing wrong in failure--just don't repeat the same mistake!" <bio>Chris Malta and Robin Cowie of WorldwideBrands.com are the Writers and Hosts of The Entrepreneur Magazine EBiz and Product Sourcing Radio Shows. <a href="http://www.worldwidebrands.com/EMRinfo" >http://www.worldwidebrands.com/EMRinfo</a> for more FREE eBiz info from Entrepreneur Magazine Radio! </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[What is an entrepreneur? You can ask virtually any other question and be able to find an easier answer than to try to define an entrepreneur. Technically it is probably simpler to describe then to define.<br><br>Literally, an entrepreneur is somebody who manages a business, takes risks and uses initiative to make it successful. The problem with this definition is that most entrepreneurs did not find instant success and often failed before making it on their second or third attempt.<br><br>One distinguishing mark of an entrepreneur is that they focus on a niche or opportunity that has as yet been unfulfilled or not been exploited properly, either because there is still room in the marketplace for one more, or is very new and not yet noticed by the more established companies.<br><br>Some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/american+universities" rel="tag">American universities</a> tried entrepreneur classes to make best use of the available talent, but I believe that entrepreneurs are neither trained nor taught. They just appear to happen, and perhaps it is intelligence combined with opportunity that makes an entrepreneur. Had the opportunity not arisen for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/richard+branson" rel="tag">Richard Branson</a> to secure that store in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/oxford+street" rel="tag">Oxford Street</a> would Virgin records have been born? Perhaps not. Had <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/alan+sugar" rel="tag">Alan Sugar</a> not been there at that specific point in time when electronic goods hit a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/boom+period" rel="tag">boom period</a> would he have been the success he was? Who knows.<br><br>One of the problems an entrepreneur has is that they want to be personally involved in every aspect of their business. They have likely started the business up themselves, probably even seen the opening and opportunity and even created the product such as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/james+dyson" rel="tag">James Dyson</a> did. Once the business begins to expand they find it difficult to let go of the reins, and whilst brilliant inventors or originators, they might not be the best businessmen.<br><br>An entrepreneur has to have some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/business+acumen" rel="tag">business acumen</a> but not necessarily have the ability to run a large company. There are often conflicts when the business grows rapidly and the entrepreneur cannot accept that there are differences between running a small business and a large successful company. The problems generally occur when the company goes public and a chairman and board of directors are appointed.<br><br>Because entrepreneurs do not necessarily need to have a business brain in the beginning, some allow the opportunity for the shareholders to determine the board. Once the company has been established the entrepreneurs can become a liability to the business because they have no more meaningful input to provide in the latter stages. Since disagreement and friction then arises the entrepreneur will frequently leave to start up a new venture, or be forced out by the board or the shareholders.<br><br>Entrepreneurialism is an indefinable quality that is possessed by only a few but desired by many. However, the true entrepreneur will not be discouraged by failure, but will plug that gap in the market ignoring all the doom mongers. Once their task is done, they will seek new challenges and solve new problems.<br><br>Thomas Edison said "I find out what the world needs, then I proceed to invent." Mary Kay Ash said "Refuse to throw in the towel. Go that extra mile that failures refuse to travel". So if you put them together, the entrepreneur finds what is needed, provides it and then refuses to accept failure.<bio>Naz Daud - CityLocal Business Directory <a href="http://www.citylocal.co.uk" target="_blank">Internet Business Directory</a> <a href="http://www.citylocal.co.uk/frontend/franchiseinfo.php?cityid=79" target="_blank">Internet Franchise Opportunity</a> <a href="http://www.citylocal.ie" target="_blank">Ireland Franchise Opportunity</a> <a href=" http://www.citylocal.co.uk/frontend/latestbusinesses.php">Latest Business Advertisers</a></bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Many people, when they first decide on an enterprise, think of starting an entrepreneur <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/home+business" rel="tag">home business</a>. This type of business is one of the most cost effective enterprises you can start, as there are very low overheads with these companies. <br /><br /> How is it cost effective? You have low overheads as you do not have any office premise expenses and often no employees. Realistically, you can start your enterprise with just a computer, fax machine, and phone line. You pick your own hours, work at your own pace, and be your own boss. Yes, it is that easy to set up an entrepreneur home business working from home. As you grow, you may wish to expand with additional software and the addition of possibly one or two employees to manage the business as it grows. As you progress in this partnership, it will become important to take your company to the next level using cost effective methods and keen management skills. The company will only grow as long as you allow it to grow and manage it wisely. <br /><br /> While choosing a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+entrepreneur" rel="tag">successful entrepreneur</a> home business, it is very important to choose an industry you are not just comfortable with, but that you truly love and understand. Do not choose a business because you think that it will make big bucks in a short amount of time, this business will be a commitment of your time and energy. You will be putting long hours into your enterprise and you will really need to love what you do to endure all the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/inevitable+ups" rel="tag">inevitable ups</a> and downs in business. Discipline is one of the critical factors to work on, as well as patience and understanding. <br /><br /> Owning an entrepreneur home business is the dream of many, but achieved by a few. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/quiet+achiever" rel="tag">Quiet Achiever</a> can help you move beyond that dream and into a future where you will become an achiever with a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/profitable+enterprise" rel="tag">profitable enterprise</a> guided by your own hand. You can learn the real insider secrets that gurus talk about but nobody really explains. You will see clearly what you need to do and, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/most+importantly" rel="tag">most importantly</a>, how to implement your plan for success with the help of Quiet Achiever. <br /><br /> With all the steps laid out before you, you can see just how easy it is to start and own an entrepreneur home business. <bio><a href="http://www.Quietachiever.com" >http://www.Quietachiever.com</a> is David Khuu's latest marketing system project. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ What Everyone Needs to Know to Become a Successful <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/home+business+entrepreneur" rel="tag">Home Business Entrepreneur</a> is on the Internet for Free <br /><br /> Copyright =A9 Tim Lockhart <br /><br /> Can you imagine a car without a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stearing+wheel" rel="tag">stearing wheel</a> or a sterio without speakers? That's what many home businesses are like. They are incomplete, but not for lack of data. Every home business entrepreneur knows that one of the most difficult things to do is filter out all the information and opportunities and lists out there and focus on income producing activities. It seems like everyone is offering information you have to figure out how to apply, and one can get in a real cash flow crunch trying out all that is available.<br /><br /><br /><br /> This is why I've provided my Top 3 list of free tools and resources for the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+home+business" rel="tag">successful home business</a> entrepreneur. <br /><br /> 1. A website is the starting point for every successful home business. A website can give you the same presence as a large conglomerate, but that is just the beginning. Several years ago I spent a bunch of money on the best software to build a website because that's what I was told I needed to do. Then I got a domain, a hosting service, put in a lot of hours creating graphics and pages, and bam, I had a website and an on-line business. But guess what. . . I didn't know how to promote it, and I had no visitors. Well, I've learned a lot over the years, and now you can cut down your spin-up time to just a few months in the free mini course: "<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/website+marketing" rel="tag">Website Marketing</a> and Home Business Entrepreneur Secrets". Request your copy here: <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mailto" rel="tag">mailto</a>:HomeBizPioneer@<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/getresponse" rel="tag">getresponse</a>.com <br /><br /> 2. Since you're reading this article, you most certainly have tried out more than one <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/network+marketing+opportunity" rel="tag">network marketing opportunity</a>, or at least you know someone who is an emerging home business entrepreneur in the mlm industry. Well, there is a 97% failure rate in network marketing attributed mainly to the proliferation of lies. Lies, such as everyone is your prospect, so you are told to talk to everyone who comes within 3 feet of you about your opportunity. The truth is that a dentist doesn't build his practice by asking everyone he meets if their teeth hurt! Just like everyone isn't the dentist's prospect, everyone is not your prospect either! Did you know that some people like being employees? Some people really do not want to be a home business entrepreneur. If you want to learn why you don't have to bug your friends and family to build a successful home business, then check out this E-book. I've made available through this link a free copy of the E-Book: The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.TimandGaby.info" >http://www.TimandGaby.info</a> <br /><br /> 3. The third free resource I recommend is the E-book "Dotcomology - The Science of Making Money Online." This book will show you exactly what you need to do to start, build and market an Internet home-based business. This book is great for everyone with that entrepreneur spark, but like me did not have a great mentor to get you started. You can download this book for free and start reading in less that 60 seconds at this link:<br /><br /><a href="http://pluginprofitsite.com/main-17894/dotcomology.html" >http://pluginprofitsite.com/main-17894/dotcomology.html</a> <br /><br /> 4. If you are a home business entrepreneur and have not tapped into the overflowing well of exposure in Craigslist, then you need to stop reading right now and go to <a href="http://www.craigslist.org" >http://www.craigslist.org</a>. Craigslist is an online community that has quickly spread and is now an international phenomenon. You can post job want ads, buy and sell real estate, find just about anything you would find in your local paper's classified adds. And, did I mention it is free? Craig only charges for job listings in a few large cities in the United States, otherwise it is totally free, and a great resource for free exposure to a huge community. <br /><br /> 5. Lastly, but certainly not least is an excellent resource provided by Dani Johnson on her website <a href="http://www.danijohnson.com" >http://www.danijohnson.com</a>. On this website, she has graciously loaded over 30 hours of some of the best training audios I've ever heard. With these free resources you will learn how a young cocktail waitress went from living out of her car with $2.03 to her name to earning her first million in 2 short years!<br /><br /><br /><br /> That sums it up, my Top 5 best tools and resources for home business entrepreneurs to break out of the 97% and become one of the 3% successful home business owners in a rapidly growing industry. I wish you all the success, happiness, prosperity, and God's blessings as you grow as a successful entrepreneur. <bio>Tim has been a home business entrepreneur since 1993 when started his first business in Arlington, Texas. <content:encoded><![CDATA[<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/" rel="tag"></a>"Be patient and calm - for no one can catch fish in anger." - Herbert Hoover <br /><br /> Becoming a successful entrepreneur may rely more on perseverance than skill. The development of a business plan needs to allow room for initial failure and financial difficulties. <br /><br /> Many entrepreneurs go without a paycheck for a significant period of time as they work to establish a business for the future. <br /><br /> "Energy and persistence conquer all things." - Benjamin Franklin <br /><br /> As an entrepreneur you have the opportunity to work at solving problems by creating solutions in a manner that conveys both enthusiasm and concern for the customer. <br /><br /> The primary reason many start up businesses fail is the business owner gave up too soon. It could be these individuals worked into a grove that caused them to lose an edge in the development and growth of their business or they failed to keep learning. <br /><br /> Entrepreneurs must blend a mix of marketing with innovation marinated in concentrated perseverance. A healthy appetite must always be brought to the table and you must always believe that the recipe is a good one. <br /><br /> "People of mediocre ability sometimes achieve outstanding success because they don't know when to quit. Most men succeed because they are determined to." - George Allen <br /><br /> Many successful entrepreneurs can pinpoint a time when they believe sheer luck propelled them from a hungry, yet inexperienced, entrepreneur to a successful businessperson. The need for perseverance should not be minimized. You can go into a business venture with significant startup capital and still fail if you don't possess the drive or desire to make the business work. <br /><br /> "A man of sense is never discouraged by difficulties; he redoubles his industry and his diligence, he perseveres, and infallibly prevails at last." - Lord Chesterfield <br /><br /> One of the chief questions you should ask yourself is whether you have the ability to hold on in the toughest of times. If the answer is no, you might not be ready to immerse yourself in entrepreneurialism. If the answer is yes you may have one of the hardest, most enjoyable roads ahead as you work to carve reality from a dream. <br /><br /> "Success seems to be connected with action. Successful men keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit." - Conrad Hilton <br /><br /> When moving forward with a business, make sure to keep moving forward. You will make mistakes, but it is what you learn from them that motivates you to a better course of action. <content:encoded><![CDATA[To be a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/success" rel="tag">success</a>ful <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneur" rel="tag">entrepreneur</a> you are going to have to learn to deal with failure. There is no way around it. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/thomas+edison" rel="tag">Thomas Edison</a> tried over ten thousand different experiments before he finally demonstrated the first <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/incandescent+light+bulb" rel="tag">incandescent light bulb</a> on October 21, 1879. Bill Gates' first company, Traf-O-Data, was a failure. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/michael+jordan" rel="tag">Michael Jordan</a> was once quoted as saying: "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot; And missed. I've failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." <br /><br /> In my short stint as an entrepreneur I've failed more times than I can count. I have also had my share of success, but it's not even close to equal. The failures far outweigh the successes, and I'm sure I have a lot more failure ahead of me. I'm OK with that because I know that as soon as I stop failing, I have stopped trying to innovate. It's the nature of the business of being an entrepreneur, and of success in general. <br /><br /> If it were easy, everyone would do it. It is naive to think that every good <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/idea" rel="tag">idea</a> that you have will result in a successful business venture. I have yet to hear an entrepreneur say "every single idea I come up with seems to work." More likely, you hear something like "I failed at my first five businesses before this one took off." <br /><br /> Think about that for a second. Five businesses. Sometimes the number is three, sometimes it's 20, but the important point is that most entrepreneurs don't hit a home-run with their first company. It really does amaze me - how many people have the stones to fail five times and still start a sixth business? You have to be supremely confident and treat those previous five times as a learning experience for the sixth. And if number six fails, you have to do the same and move on to number seven. <br /><br /> In my opinion, the most important thing is how you deal with failure. Once you accept that it's inevitable, you are able to learn from your mistakes and move on. It's easy to let the failure consume you - not so much because you are pessimistic, but more so because it is hard to see something that you poured your heart and soul into be ignored or rejected. As soon as possible you need to come to the realization that your business is what they are ignoring or rejecting, NOT you. The sooner you do that, the sooner you can objectively analyze why you failed and learn the things necessary for improvement in the future. <br /><br /> Failure isn't easy and is extremely frustrating, but it's a necessary part of success. Don't believe me? Ask Thomas Edison, Bill Gates or Michael Jordan! Ok, asking Thomas Edison might be a little tough, but you get the idea :) <bio>Adam McFarland owns the <a href="<a href="http://SportsLizard.com">http://SportsLizard.com</a>"><a href="http://SportsLizard.com">http://SportsLizard.com</a></a> Network (<a href="http://Network.SportsLizard.com">http://Network.SportsLizard.com</a>). <content:encoded><![CDATA[ The rewards of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/owning+a+business" rel="tag">owning a business</a> franchise are many. If you are an entrepreneur who is interested in a business that does not take relatively much time to start, you should buy <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/franchise+rights" rel="tag">franchise rights</a> to become a franchisee. Franchising a business is a quick way to starting off a business that does not require much planning, the franchisee continues to operate the business in the original mode of the parent company. <br /><br /> In order to buy franchise you have to decide what kind of business opportunity you are looking for. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/business+franchise+opportunities" rel="tag">Business franchise opportunities</a> provide millions of jobs, and income returns to individuals and the companies, and is a sector that will grow in the future, with more and more countries looking to update their <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/franchise+laws" rel="tag">franchise laws</a>. The freedom and returns of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/owning+your+own+business" rel="tag">owning your own business</a> are many, as are the risks that include with any business. If you buy franchise, you take some of the risks out of the equation, but of course, a successful franchisee requires skill and dedication to operate the business franchise. <br /><br /> You can buy franchise rights to various kinds of companies. There are several <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/franchise+associations" rel="tag">franchise associations</a> in various countries, and the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/international+franchise+association" rel="tag">International Franchise Association</a> gives individuals updates and news about the global world of business franchise, and helps you buy franchise rights to the kind of business you want to operate. A franchisee should have the right kind of information regarding the business franchisor, in order to strike the right deal with the same. When it comes to an individual entrepreneur to buy franchise rights, the franchisor makes certain types of rules in connection with the business. The franchise may be a product or trade name franchise, which implies that the franchisee is not allowed to conduct the business on their own terms and make additional profits, but only use the original parent company's mode of operation. <br /><br /> You can successfully enter the world of business franchise, if you have the drive to buy franchise rights from the right kind of franchisor. Today, there are vast numbers of franchise options for the entrepreneur. You can buy franchise rights to a various business chains in the areas of clothing, food, training platform companies/education, luxury goods, and cosmetics among others. There are several supermarket chains that are hugely successful in the countries like USA, Canada etc. <br /><br /> Franchising businesses helps small to medium scale entrepreneurs grow within a small period, and this is integrally linked to the growth in the economic sector of a particular country. If you are interested in a business venture that helps you rise up in the society, buying franchise is a viable option. The world of franchise is evolving every minute, with more and more options available to the entrepreneur. The financially weaker sections of any society can be helped with social ventures that allow easy options to poor individuals to buy franchise rights, which ultimately ensure the strengthening of the entire social structure of the country. <br /><br /> You can become a successful business owner if you buy franchise rights from a suitable franchisor, and take pride in becoming financially successful. <bio>Roger Morad is the expert columnist and article writer for <a href="http://ModernFranchises.com" >http://ModernFranchises.com</a> - He is an industry expert that reports daily on franchising and business opportunity news. <content:encoded><![CDATA[People who are tired of working a nine to five job in an office and getting meager pay are most likely tempted to find work somewhere else. This doesn't always have to be answer because there is a way to make money by simply being one's own boss. <br /><br /> This is by making a home-based business and here are three ways that can make this possible. <br /><br /> The first will be to create business. This means doing the research, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/flying+blind" rel="tag">flying blind</a> and hopefully with a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stroke+of+luck" rel="tag">stroke of luck</a> making it big. <br /><br /> What are the risks involved in this kind of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/home+based+business" rel="tag">home based business</a>? For starters, the amount that has to be invested is quite huge. The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneur" rel="tag">entrepreneur</a> will succeed only through trial and error. <br /><br /> Coming up with a business plan can avoid making mistakes. This can also give the individual an idea when the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/return+of+investment" rel="tag">return of investment</a> will be. <br /><br /> When the right formula has been made, the trick is consistency. Some businesses are not able to sustain that and a customer will likely go somewhere else. <br /><br /> The second is franchising. Studies show that there are a lot of people who venture into this given that the brand has already established itself in the market. The only thing to do now is follow the plan set from the mother company. <br /><br /> The person can choose from various businesses that are open for franchising. There is an initial start up capital, which includes product training, set up and marketing support. Not all the money will go to the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/franchisee" rel="tag">franchisee</a> because a certain percent of sales as well as royalty will have to be paid. <br /><br /> A franchise usually has a contract for about three to five years. Those who are doing well and want to continue being a partner can renew it before the expiration date. The nice thing about being a franchisee is that the person will already have an idea how long before the length of investment will start trickling in. <br /><br /> The third is called a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/distributorship" rel="tag">distributorship</a>. In essence, it is like franchising. The only difference is that the goods are purchased upfront and then the entrepreneur will just add a little to make a decent profit. <br /><br /> There are various companies that engage in this kind of business and are very profitable. The entrepreneur should do some research and find out which ones is the best to partner up with.<br /><br /><br /><br /> The sky is the limit in this kind of home based business. This is because those who are able to sell very well can use the money to buy more products. Instead of doing this house to house, the entrepreneur can even use the Internet to sell these to more customers. The entrepreneur will have to take care of shipping this to the customer. <br /><br /> Among the three, this is probably the one that has the lowest risk since the company will not require the entrepreneur to have a minimum order. The company representative will understand just how much can be spent by the person and still offer support.<br /><br /><br /><br /> There are many ways to make money and it doesn't always to be getting a nine to five job and working in an office. Believe it or not, the same thing can be done at home. The entrepreneur will have to work twice as hard to be successful. <bio>Mario Churchill is a freelance author and has written over 200 articles on various subjects. <content:encoded><![CDATA[In order for an entrepreneur to make their new <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/business+venture" rel="tag">business venture</a> a success they need the start up capital to make it happen, so what is one of the best ways for an entrepreneur to do this? One of the best ways to fund a new business venture is through the help of a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/private+investor" rel="tag">private investor</a>.<br><br><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/private+investors" rel="tag">Private investors</a> are generally <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+business+leaders" rel="tag">successful business leaders</a> or professionals who make significant investments within companies, generally in the early start-up stage. These investments are made within businesses that an investor has a particular interest in as well as the knowledge and experience to make the business a success.<br><br>These private investors are valuable resources who can help you to connect with important contacts in the business world and use their experience to guide your business in the right direction. They can help you build your executive team, to choose <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/advisory+board+members" rel="tag">advisory board members</a>, and to meet potential business partners. The help and support that a private investor can bring to your business is limitless.<br><br>If you are an entrepreneur you probably already know all about private investors, in which case you will be aware that a private investor is making a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/high+risk+investment" rel="tag">high risk investment</a> by becoming involved in a start up business venture. Due to this a private investor will be looking into investing in companies that have a reasonable expectation of returning an average of 10 times their original investment within a five year period.<br><br>As an entrepreneur you will be accepting the financial responsibility of the risks involved in new financial ventures. You need to have <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/spontaneous+creativity" rel="tag">spontaneous creativity</a>, the ability and willingness to make decisions in the absence of solid data, and a generally risk-taking personality. Many entrepreneurs are driven by a need to create something new, which in itself is a good thing when it comes to starting up a new business venture but the one thing that all entrepreneurs need to have in common is persistence. As most new businesses fail within the first five years you need to have the persistence to drive your business forwards to make it a success.<br><br>If you are an entrepreneur who is hoping to make it with a new business venture then start up capital is of great importance to you and the best chance you have of gaining this start up capital as well as making your business a success is through the help of a private investor.<br><br>Whether you are an entrepreneur or a private investor there is now a way that you can both become involved in the latest business venture, this is through something called an investors club.<br><br>In an investors club an entrepreneur has the benefit of being able to find the best of the best when it comes to private investors and a private investor has the benefit of being able to find the latest businesses that are looking for an investment.<br><br>Being a member of an investors club means that everyone is a winner and joining one of these members clubs couldn't be easier, you simply fill in an online form and wait for your registration to be approved.<br><br>So what are you waiting for? Fill in your registration form today and see what an investors club can do for you.<bio>Helen is the web master of Angel Start-ups, who are the best when it comes to providing you with an <a href="http://www.angelstartups.com/members/register/">Investors Club. </a></bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Studies show that there are more than 20 million people who work from the home. Some do this part time while others have decided to quit the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/day+job" rel="tag">day job</a> and focus on it. <br /><br /> Does working from the home make money than a regular job? This really depends on how much effort that the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/entrepreneur" rel="tag">entrepreneur</a> puts into it. But given that many people are doing it, it means there is something there worth checking out. <br /><br /> Here are some of the advantages of working from the home. <br /><br /> 1. The entrepreneur gets to set the work hours. This means those who don't feel like working during the morning can take care of everything in the afternoon or evening. Though some companies allow the employees to work from the home, this is not always possible when under someone's payroll. <br /><br /> 2. Working in the office always has a toll on the family. Studies show that this is one of the many reasons why there are cases of infidelity and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/divorce+in+the+united+states" rel="tag">divorce in the United States</a>. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/staying+at+home" rel="tag">Staying at home</a> allows the entrepreneur to spend time with the kids and with the spouse. <br /><br /> This will also be great when taking care of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/old+folk" rel="tag">old folk</a>. Money can be saved by spending time with these people there rather than shuffling to the nursing home. <br /><br /> 3. Working from the home also works well when dealing with the government. This is because the person can get some tax benefits thus paying less when filing for income tax. The entrepreneur should talk with an accountant on the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/proper+steps" rel="tag">proper steps</a> to make this possible. <br /><br /> 4. A lot of people spend a hour or more driving to and from the office. Those who decide to work from the home don't have to spend that much for gas anymore given that everything that needed is on the table. <br /><br /> 5. A certain percentage of those who are working from the home are disabled. This used to be a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hindrance" rel="tag">hindrance</a> but not anymore given that those who decide to use the computer or laptop won't have a hard time connecting online since wireless technology is readily available.<br /><br /><br /><br /> 6. Another study compared the productivity of those who work in an office with those who work at home. It showed that people who do the same thing inside the house are to perform much better because there are no distractions standing in the way to get the job done. <br /><br /> A productive person is a happy worker. This is because the entrepreneur is able to balance time between the duties of being a breadwinner and the role as a parent. If the individual is having a hard time balancing it, perhaps it is time to leave and start to work from the home. <br /><br /> What type of work can be done at home? This really depends on the skills of the individual. Sometimes going back to school is the trick while others may rely on a passion or a hobby that was never given that much attention in the past. <br /><br /> Will there be some hard days ahead? Most businesses start out slowly before becoming successful so the answer is yes. The entrepreneur will soon be able to reap the benefits of the endeavor after conducting the necessary research and eventually getting the hang of things. <bio>Mario Churchill is a freelance author and has written over 200 articles on various subjects. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ One of the biggest myths regarding starting your own <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/home+based+internet+business" rel="tag">home based internet business</a> is that you are doomed to failure unless you have a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/natural+aptitude" rel="tag">natural aptitude</a> or a natural talent for business. In other words, if you weren't born to be an entrepreneur, then you are going to be sunk before you even start. Needless to say, this is an untrue notion. While there are a number of skills that you absolutely have to be a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/successful+businessman" rel="tag">successful businessman</a>, there are ways for you to develop those skills along the way. Instead of those skills, what you need to be thinking about are the qualities inherent to all good entrepreneurs. There are some of them and there are some things you need to have, but if you are interested in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/starting+a+home+based+internet+business" rel="tag">starting a home based internet business</a>, chances are you have them already. <br /><br /> The first one is perseverance. Starting a home based internet business is like the exponential version of working on a project for school. When you are learning a new concept for that project, you are going to have to go slow, but steady. If you just start, do it for a bit and then leave it alone, you are going to fail the project. But if you start it and then keep at it little by little, you are going to end up with a successful final product. This is what you need to do in a home based internet business. You need to keep at it until you get to the point of being successful. <br /><br /> In addition to perseverance, you need to have a thick skin. In the business world, you are going to meet a number of cut-throat individuals that would like nothing better than to see you fail so that they can succeed. While it is good to have <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/business+relationships" rel="tag">business relationships</a> with other companies, what is not so good is taking anything negative they say as the gospel and taking it completely to heart. If you do that, then it won't take very many negative comments before you hang up your business for good. Consider taking people's advice if it is constructive, but do not listen to anyone that is completely negative. One suggestion is to stay away from <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/negative+news" rel="tag">negative news</a> on the paper or television. It does not make sense to let negative information into you head when you want to stay positive. <br /><br /> Finally, in addition to perseverance and a thick skin, you also need to have the ability to deal with failure. There are a number of people that do not have this ability and in fact there are people that give up on something after having one unsuccessful try at it. This is something that you need to avoid in a home based internet business because you're going to fail at things again and again. The most successful businessmen of today were failures at some point yesterday. What makes them successful businessmen is that they did not give up. You shouldn't give up either, if you have one quality out of these three, make sure it is the ability to deal with failure. "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." <content:encoded><![CDATA[Nowadays it's almost unfashionable for an online entrepreneur to not have a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/blog" rel="tag">blog</a> or two. Since the web abounds of personal <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/blogs" rel="tag">blogs</a>, informational blogs, art and poetry blogs, and so on, a business blog has to compete against all of the above-mentioned and business blogs for a high ranking in the search engine results pages. <br /><br /> For a blog to be successful it needs to be well written, frequently updated, well designed and honest. A business blog needs to focus on a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/target" rel="tag">target</a> and discuss topics related to that target. The "know your audience" rule is the very foundation of a successful business blog. <br /><br /> Assuming you are not an online entrepreneur but still want to have a successful blog, here is what you should do: <br /><br /> Pick your topic. As a blogger you have the chance to write about anything you want. So what it will be? An online diary or a news outlet? Choose whatever is more appealing to you, a subject you are good at, and a theme that will reveal your talents, your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/passions" rel="tag">passions</a> and your knowledge. <br /><br /> Write in a personal manner and post frequently. The more you post, the more content you ad on your pages. And content is food for the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/search+engines" rel="tag">search engines</a> that scan blogs on a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/daily+basis" rel="tag">daily basis</a>. A frequently updated blog has more chances of success than "lazy" blogs where people post a thought or two every once in a while. <br /><br /> Make your opinion known: that's the whole idea behind blogging. You have to be an active member of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/blogosphere" rel="tag">blogosphere</a>, visit and post comments on other blogs as well. A good comment will attract traffic to your blog. <br /><br /> A blog is a great promotional and marketing tool. Use it wisely. Don't use a blog to insult a person or to damage another business. Use a blog to provide quality information for the online community. If you have a business blog don't use it to sell products, but to offer customer support, to request feedback, to make announcements and to publish advice. Use a website for sales and let the visitors decide whether they want to visit the "products" page or not, by providing a direct link to it from your blog. If you are a writer, the more quality content you post the higher chances to become popular and be recognized online as an expert in your field. <br /><br /> Promote your blog. Include your blog's URL in your email signature, mention it in your newsletters and submit it to blog directories. <br /><br /> Companies and online entrepreneurs should really think twice before starting a blog. A blog needs constant updates and quality content. It will not be successful without these two important ingredients. A professional writer paid to update the blog on regular basis is sometimes the best alternative for business blogs. A professional writer will create a blog with attributes of clarity and simplicity. For blogs, SEO writers are preferable because they know how to write content that is keyword rich but not keyword stuffed and quality headlines that will grab the attention of the readers. <br /><br /> Last but not least, the content of the blog should be included in an RSS feed to increase blog's popularity. <bio>Scott Lindsay is a web developer and entrepreneur.
