<content:encoded><![CDATA[<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wood+furniture" rel="tag">Wood furniture</a> adds an element of warmth and charm to any décor. Unfortunately, it's also susceptible to stains. Whether you've got a beloved piece of wood furniture handed down from your grandparents or a brand new addition to your home, you might be disappointed the first time you notice a ring-shaped <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/water+stain" rel="tag">water stain</a> on the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wooden+surface" rel="tag">wooden surface</a>. But don't despair; even tough water stains can be removed. You won't need to replace your wood furniture if you follow these quick tips for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/removing+water+stains" rel="tag">removing water stains</a>.<br><br>First, it's important to treat the stain as soon as possible. If you can catch the stain right after its formation, you have the best chance of removing it. But what if your wood furniture is older, and it came with stains already in place? There's still hope. Do-it-yourself experts recommend taking mayonnaise, oil, or the meat of walnuts or pecans and rubbing it into the water mark. The fatty substances will penetrate the wood and leave the stained area darker and harder to see.<br><br>Use your finger to rub the oils into the wood, then let the furniture sit for several minutes before repeating the treatment. Older water marks might need to sit overnight.<br><br>When the wood furniture has finished soaking up the treatment, use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away the residue. You might need to repeat this a few times to get <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stubborn+stains" rel="tag">stubborn stains</a> out of the wood finish.<br><br>Other experts suggest using toothpaste. Simply take a non-gel toothpaste and rub it over the water stain with a damp cloth. Then take a dry cloth and wipe off the toothpaste. Polish your furniture afterward, and it should look as good as new.<br><br>Furniture with a good finish can be wiped down with a mixture of baking soda and toothpaste. For antiques, try a very fine grade of steel wool followed by a soft wax polish. For especially stubborn white marks on dark furniture, take a small amount of brown shoe polish and work it into the area before wiping it clean. It should camouflage any discoloration. Always follow your water <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stain+treatments" rel="tag">stain treatments</a> with a good coat of furniture polish.<br><br>If a water stain is just too persistent, you can always hire a professional to refinish the furniture, or do it yourself. Remember, the key ingredient for water stain removal is elbow grease - and lots of it. Gentle, prolonged polishing works better than quick, rough strokes. Harsh treatment can harm the wood's finish. Be gentle, firm, and patient. If all else fails, you can either replace the furniture or use strategically-placed table runners and cloths to simply hide the stain.<br><br>Prevention is the best way to handle water stains. If you've got a new piece of wood furniture that you want to keep in great shape, always use a coaster for your drinks and insist that your guests do so as well. After all, it's easier to avoid stains altogether than to try and remove them after the damage has been done.<bio>Visit us at <a href="http://www.furnituredesign24.com">furniture design</a>. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Is your favorite, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/comfy+couch" rel="tag">comfy couch</a> starting to look a little old and worn? Are you tired of looking at those <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stubborn+stains" rel="tag">stubborn stains</a> on your couch? You may be in need of a couch cover to solve your problems. Easily working into your existing décor, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/couch+covers" rel="tag">couch covers</a> are available in various sizes, colors, and styles. <br /><br /> Several situations can call for a couch cover to help you. Although the couch may still be solid in build, it may be covered in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/unsightly+stains" rel="tag">unsightly stains</a>. Using a couch cover in this situation allows you to keep the sturdy couch while hiding the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ugly+stains" rel="tag">ugly stains</a>. Thus, you can hang on to that comfortable old friend of a couch without being embarrassed by the year old stains. <br /><br /> If you have a brand new couch, you may still want to use a couch cover. Here is a great furniture review site <a href="http://www.ourfurnitureinfo.com" >http://www.ourfurnitureinfo.com</a>. By covering the new couch, you can protect the fabric and add years to the life of the couch's upholstery by preventing stains and wear and tear. If you have pets or children in the home, this is even more helpful since they tend to contribute more to the stains and wear on the couch. <br /><br /> Most people think of the old fashioned plastic covers when they think about couch covers. With those noisy, uncomfortable plastic wraps, the couch was practically untouchable. Thankfully, those are indeed in the past. Today's couch covers are much more user friendly. <br /><br /> Couch covers of today can be in different sizes from loveseats to oversized sofas. You can easily find already made couch covers to fit by measuring the height, length, and width of your specific couch. These prefabricated couch covers in various sizes can be made with elastic corners to offer a perfect fit over your couch. <br /><br /> If you can afford a little more in your decorating budget, you can customize your couch cover. With customized couch covers, you select the exact fabric you want to fit your color choice and existing theme of décor. In this way you can also have matching window treatments made. When having your couch cover made, you may want to select having it treated with chemicals that repel stains and liquids in order to make cleaning messy spills a great deal easier. <br /><br /> Really, you don't need an excuse to buy a couch cover. Couch covers are fun and easy ways to change the look of the couch and décor in the room. You can break away from that traditional look that you are used to without breaking your budget by having to buy all new furniture. Couch covers can easily hide stains, protect a new couch, and add life to your couch. <bio>Rachel frequently visits, <a href="http://www.shoppingfordays.com" >http://www.shoppingfordays.com</a> <a href="http://www.beautycap.com" >http://www.beautycap.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Cleaning your kitchen is a necessary chore in order to have a clean working environment and also to avoid health hazards. Cleaning your kitchen will go faster if you have a checklist to follow. Here's some helpful cleaning tips: <br /><br /> How to clean a porcelain <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/kitchen+sink" rel="tag">kitchen sink</a>: <br /><br /> **Stop up the sink and fill sink with warm water, then add <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/chlorine+bleach" rel="tag">chlorine bleach</a>. Let water soak in sink for one hour. For more stubborn stains, line sink with paper towels saturated with chlorine and let them sit in the there for 8 to 10 hours. WARNING: Do not use chlorine bleach for sinks that are cracked or too porous, this will cause the bleach to leak through and damage the iron base, which leads to rusting. <br /><br /> How to clean a steel sink: <br /><br /> **Wash sink with hot sudsy water. Avoid abrasive cleansers. <br /><br /> **Clean and polish with glass cleaner. <br /><br /> **Remove scratches or pit spots by rubbing sink gently with very fine steel wool. Buff with a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/soft+cloth" rel="tag">soft cloth</a>. <br /><br /> Get rid of kitchen sink odor -- once every week pour one handful of baking soda down the drain and run hot water for a minute or so. You can also pour 1 cup of vinegar down the drain and let it sit for 30 minutes, rinse with hot water. <br /><br /> Avoid <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/clogged+drains" rel="tag">clogged drains</a> -- never pour cooking grease or coffee grounds down the kitchen drain. <br /><br /> Hardened <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/food+stains" rel="tag">food stains</a> -- the quickest way to get rid of hardened food stains is to pry them up with an ice scraper. If you have more patience, you can soak stains with soapy water, which will dissolve them. <br /><br /> Clean countertop stains -- most countertop stains can be cleaned up with baking soda and a damp soft cloth. For persistent stains add a little chlorine bleach to a damp cloth and wipe. <br /><br /> Deodorize your cutting board -- to remove smells from your wooden cutting board, rub it with a freshly cut lemon, rinse and dry. <bio>Donna Monday Are you <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/embarrassed" rel="tag">embarrassed</a> to have friends and family over because your home is always so messy? <content:encoded><![CDATA[It is very true that hard<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wood+floors" rel="tag">wood floors</a> will increase the value of your home. However, if your wood floors are damaged they could actually detract from your home's overall value not to mention aesthetic appeal. Scratches, scuffs and gouges are the most common problems wood floor owners face. Squeaking can also be an annoying issue. Before you can begin repairing, you need to determine the extent of the damage. If the stain or scratch has not penetrated the wood, you're dealing with a surface problem, these are generally easier to deal with. If the stain or scratch has penetrated into the wood the fix is bit more involved but still not too difficult. <br /><br /> Surface scratches can usually be repaired with touch-up kit made for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/urethane" rel="tag">urethane</a> finishes, you can find these at just about any <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wood+flooring" rel="tag">wood flooring</a> retailer or online. Removing surface stains depends on the type of stain it is. Most commonly you'll be dealing with water and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pet+stains" rel="tag">pet stains</a>. For these use a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wood+floor+cleaner" rel="tag">wood floor cleaner</a> developed specifically for urethane finishes to remove the stain. More stubborn stains may require additional scrubbing with the cleaner and a wood flooring scrub pad made for urethane floors. For scratches that have penetrated into the wood you should be able simply wax the area until the scratch is no longer visible. Scuff marks can be taken care by using <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/steel+wool" rel="tag">steel wool</a> to rub in the wax and then hand buffing the area. Just be careful when using something abrasive like steel wool on your wood floors, if you rub too hard you could cause more damage to the wood. For water stains rub the spot with fine steel wool and then wax. If this doesn't get the stain out completely, lightly sand the area with fine <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sandpaper" rel="tag">sandpaper</a>, and clean it using steel wool and mineral spirits or a wood floor cleaner . Once the floor is dry, apply stain, wax it and then hand buff it. <br /><br /> For penetrated pet stains rub the spot with fine steel wool and wax. If this doesn't get the stain out completely, lightly sand the area with fine sandpaper, and clean it using steel wool and mineral spirits or a wood floor cleaner . Once the floor is dry, apply stain, wax it and then hand buff it. If the stain is really stubborn, apply a household bleach or vinegar and allow it to soak for an hour. Rinse the floor with a damp cloth, wipe dry and smooth with fine sandpaper. Once again apply stain, wax it and hand buff it. <br /><br /> Regular maintenance can help prevent scratches and stains from penetrating into the wood. Be sure to vacuum and/or dry mop your wood flooring once a week. Be sure never to wax a floor that has been coated with a polyurethane finish. That would make it impossible to re-coat your wood floor in the future without first sanding it. <bio>Mark Winchester is the owner of <a href="<a href="http://www.floorinstallationinc.com">http://www.floorinstallationinc.com</a>/sitemap/index.html"><a href="http://www.floorinstallationinc.com">http://www.floorinstallationinc.com</a>/sitemap/index.html</a> which offers solutions for wood flooring installation, repair and maintenance. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ A significant portion of your life is spent lying on your mattress, so it is important that you know how to clean a mattress properly and maintain it. Learn how to clean a mattress, and get a regular schedule setup to keep your mattress clean. Cleaning your mattress can't be accomplished as easily as cleaning your bedding, but it doesn't have to be a huge chore either. <br /><br /> Protect Your Mattress With Regular Cleaning <br /><br /> A good tip on how to clean a mattress is to keep it well protected. A mattress pad or cover can help keep the dirt and debris off your mattress. If you have children or occasionally bring liquids in to your bedroom, you may want to consider purchasing a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/waterproof+mattress+pad" rel="tag">waterproof mattress pad</a> for your bed. A mattress pad or cover fits into a washing machine a lot better than a mattress does. <br /><br /> To keep your mattress from uncomfortable sags and soft spots, you will need to rotate the mattress layout on a regular basis. A good schedule for mattress rotation is about six months. Your mattress needs to be reversed with the head and foot positions switching place, as well as being flipped over so the opposite side is resting on the bed frame or box spring. <br /><br /> Another tip on how to clean a mattress is to vacuum it. This can be done on a weekly basis for those who suffer from allergies or every six months when you do a mattress rotation. Allergy sufferers will find that regular vacuuming of their mattress will help reduce allergic reactions, particularly if they suffer from an allergy to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dust+mites" rel="tag">dust mites</a>. <br /><br /> Stain Removal Made Easy <br /><br /> It is best to attempt to remove mattress stains with a dry method rather than use liquids. Liquid cleaners will soak into your mattress and produce <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mold+and+mildew" rel="tag">mold and mildew</a>, which will ruin the mattress. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/upholstery+cleaners" rel="tag">Upholstery cleaners</a> can be used, but they must be used delicately and with care. Try to create an abundance of suds and apply them to the stain using a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dry+sponge" rel="tag">dry sponge</a>. <br /><br /> Some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stubborn+stains" rel="tag">stubborn stains</a>, such as blood and urine, can be very difficult to remove even with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/commercial+upholstery" rel="tag">commercial upholstery</a> cleaners. Common hydrogen peroxide found in most bathrooms can often aid in the removal of stubborn stains. Remember to allow the mattress to fully dry before redressing with your bedding. You can dry your mattress with a fan blowing directly at the cleaned area or let it sit upright outside on a warm and sunny day. Just check for complete dryness before using your mattress again. <br /><br /> A properly maintained mattress can provide you with a wonderful night of sleep for many years. Find a schedule that works for you and stick with it. Learn how to clean your mattress and keep it that way. Remember, a clean mattress is a comfortable mattress, and a comfortable mattress means a better night's sleep for you. <bio>Find more Helpful [<a href="http://www.mattressesonsalenow.com/" >http://www.mattressesonsalenow.com/</a>] Mattress tips, advice (and Resources) Click Here: <a href="http://www.mattressesonsalenow.com" >http://www.mattressesonsalenow.com</a> <br /><br />A Popular website that specializes in Sources of Mattresses to include King Size Mattress, Queen Size Mattress and [<a href="http://mattressesonsalenow.com/sealy--posturepedic--mattress.html" >http://mattressesonsalenow.com/sealy--posturepedic--mattress.html</a>] Sealy Posturepedic Mattress </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[When it comes to stain tips, you will find a variety of unique and curious suggestions for getting out the most unusual of stains. Form mustard to shoe polish, there are idea on how to safely, and hopefully successfully, get that pesky spot or spill from getting into the fibers of your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/favorite+shirt" rel="tag">favorite shirt</a>, pants, shoes, or outerwear. Regardless of how many ideas and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nifty+tricks" rel="tag">nifty tricks</a> you read, sometimes, you will need a professional cleaner to get that stain out.<br><br>As a dry cleaner once told me, it is easier to get stains out that have not been treated. If you have a spot, spill, or splash on your favorite <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/evening+dress" rel="tag">evening dress</a>, you may want to consider talking to a dry cleaner as soon as possible rather than try to treat the spot yourself. In addition, you should not wait months or years before deciding to get that spot treated. The faster you act, the easier it is to remove that pesky spot.<br><br>Have you ever been at the office and gotten white out on your favorite button down shirt?<br><br>To remove white out, you will want to use <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/acetone" rel="tag">acetone</a> or good old fashioned fingernail polish remover. Sponge your shirt with acetone, tap the acetone into the garment with a spoon or a brush. When you are done, rinse with a solution of one part water and one part alcohol -- not the drinking kind. You should find you have saved your favorite work shirt from an unattractive white spot.<br><br>Has your favorite work coat or work jacket ever gotten a little scorched? There is hope as long as it was only a minor burn.<br><br>Using an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/eye+dropper" rel="tag">eye dropper</a>, saturate the scorched area with 3% <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hydrogen+peroxide" rel="tag">hydrogen peroxide</a>. You will then add a couple drops of ammonia. Let the stand from 10 minutes to an hour. Make sure the garment stays moist with the tiny bit of ammonia with hydrogen peroxide. After the hour is up, rise with water. If you do not have a nice, clean garment, chances are good the scorch or burn was to extensive and should be replaced.<br><br>Have you ever noticed you had unexplained <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lipstick+stains" rel="tag">lipstick stains</a> on your collar? Well, there is an easy way to insure even the most stubborn lipstick stains come out lickity split!<br><br>Use either a grease remover or one of the dry cleaning solvents available at most retail stores. Soak a sponge or other type of absorbent pad with this cleaner. Blot the spot. Do not scrub or rub because you may just spread the lipstick stain. There are a lot of stain tips out there, and this is an easy one that helps a lot of people! You will continue blotting until the lipstick is not visible, but there is more.<br><br>You can also use a light detergent mix with half vinegar for the blotting. You will be able to rinse with water and dry. Viola! No more lipstick stains.<br><br>When you work hard, it is important you know how to keep those stains at bay. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ If you have pets you know that at some point or another they will probably have an accident on your homes carpet. Whether they are young and just <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/learning+the+ropes" rel="tag">learning the ropes</a> or an older pet that just can't make it to the door anymore, they will have an accident at some point. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pet+stains" rel="tag">Pet stains</a> can be some of the most difficult to remove, but why? Read this article and learn why pet stains are so hard to remove. <br /><br /> There are a variety of reasons that pet stains are so hard to remove. For starters when they urinate on the carpet they are putting down an acid. The acid will eat right through any <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+protector" rel="tag">carpet protector</a> you might have and penetrate deep into the fiber where they will be difficult to remove. Another reason that they are so difficult to remove is because of the volume that they put down. They put down so much liquid that the surface fibers can not absorb it. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/this+means+that" rel="tag">This means that</a> it penetrates the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+fibers" rel="tag">carpet fibers</a> and will go into the backing, the pad and the sub floor. This really complicates the cleaning because it is easy enough to clean the surface but much more difficult to clean under it. Professional <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+cleaner" rel="tag">carpet cleaner</a>s do have methods of sub surface cleaning but they are pricey and still might not remove all of the material. The only way to really solve the problem completely is to pull the carpet up and replace the pad and clean both sides. This is a time consuming and expensive process. The last reason that urine can be such a problem is that it contains bacteria. This is what produces the odor. It is feeding on the urine and releasing ammonia and will continue to do so until you remove every bit of the urine. <br /><br /> As you can see, there are many reasons that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/urine+stains" rel="tag">urine stains</a> are difficult to remove. They are one of the hardest stains to remove which is why if you are having an issue with pet stains or odor you should call a professional carpet cleaner to handle the job. So what are you waiting for, call a carpet cleaner today and have a better smelling home tomorrow. <bio>Go to <a href="http://www.thecarpetcleanerlist.com/providence.htm" >http://www.thecarpetcleanerlist.com/providence.htm</a> for more information on carpet cleaning. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[I <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/potty+trained" rel="tag">potty trained</a> quite a few kids over the years, but I have to tell you, my daughter has been the toughest so far. She is just such a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stubborn+child" rel="tag">stubborn child</a> -- especially when it comes to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/potty+training" rel="tag">potty training</a>. If you are in the same situation, here are some tips that have worked for my daughter and me. With a little luck they will work for you as well. <br /><br /> Stick To Your Plan <br /><br /> Once you determined that your child is ready for potty training, it is especially important with a stubborn child that you stay consistent and stick to your game plan. Don't go back and forth between putting a diaper on her one afternoon -- because it is convenient and then expect her to go back to using the potty. This isn't a good idea for any child in potty training, but is particularly bad with your stubborn child. On that same note, don't give in to her when she asks for a diaper, or wets her pants. She may even try to hold "it". Check with your pediatrician to see how long you can safely stick to your guns in that case. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/relax" rel="tag">Relax</a> and Keep Your Cool <br /><br /> Potty training a stubborn toddler can test your patience to almost no end. You will be tempted to blow off some steam at time -- and you should -- but not in front of your toddler. This is a difficult time for her and she needs all your support and cheering. She doesn't need to feel like you are disappointed in her. Do your best to relax and keep your cool. If you can't, then step out of the room for a few minutes to regroup or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/yell" rel="tag">yell</a> at a pillow -- out of hearing range of your toddler of course. <br /><br /> Make It Fun <br /><br /> How can you take the stubbornness right out of your toddler, when it comes to potty training? Make it fun! Add a drop or two of blue food coloring to the toilet bowl and tell your toddler she can turn it a different color by peeing in it. Drop a cheerio in the bowl for a little boy to use as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/target+practice" rel="tag">target practice</a>. <br /><br /> Use <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/positive+reinforcement" rel="tag">Positive Reinforcement</a> <br /><br /> Using positive reinforcement is your best potty training tool while training a stubborn toddler. Become your child's biggest cheerleader when she goes in the potty. You can also offer her a small treat like a few MandMs or a sticker to show her how proud you are of her using the bathroom. <br /><br /> A great tool for positive reinforcement is a potty training chart. You can draw your own or find a printable potty training chart online. Each time your child uses the potty you either draw a smiley face on the chart or use a sticker. Hang the chart up so everyone can admire your child's progress. <bio>For more potty training tips a free e-course on potty training and a free potty training chart visit <a href="http://www.mypottytraining.com" >http://www.mypottytraining.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Fall is approaching fast and with this time of year comes cookouts, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dinner+parties" rel="tag">dinner parties</a> and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/holiday+parties" rel="tag">holiday parties</a>. As you get your home in order and ready for these events, one thing to remember is that your carpets need to be cleaned. You want to put your best foot forward and cleaning your carpets is one way of doing that.<br><br>Depending on the severity of the stains in your carpet you may be able to get away with a simple canned <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rug+cleaner" rel="tag">rug cleaner</a> or you may end up having to rent a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/professional+rug" rel="tag">professional rug</a> cleaner. If you have only a few simple spots that you'd like to treat then getting a can of stain remover followed up my a can of rug cleaner is the way to go. Both will work in unison together and will typically get the stains right out. If you have those deep down, set in stains then you'll want to invest in renting a professional rug cleaner. This method will allow you take hot water and a bottle of rug cleaner and gently work the stains out of the carpet. By applying the hot solution to the stain then sucking it back up, those deep down stains tend to come up quickly. If not don't panic, just repeat the process a few times and that normally does the trick.<br><br>The best step to cleaning your carpet is to prevent the stains from day one. Several of today's carpets come already treated with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/scotch+guard" rel="tag">Scotch Guard</a>. However there are other stain protectors that can do the same thing. Often times something is spilt on the carpet and we think we got it up. However, when we come back the stain is still there. This is from the stain being partially removed but the remaining spill which has settled at the base of the carpet still remains. To prevent this from happening, simply place a cloth over the stain and set a heavy object on top of that and leave it overnight. This will allow the pressure to help soak up any <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/excess+moisture" rel="tag">excess moisture</a>. Often after doing so you won't need a rug cleaner but just a simple spot treater.<br><br>Never attempt to use a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/heat+source" rel="tag">heat source</a> such as a dryer to dry the stain. Doing so will only set the stain in and make it harder and sometimes impossible to remove later with a rug cleaner. Should you have mold or mildew stains on your carpet try using a non-chlorine bleach to help treat these areas. This along with a professional steam rug cleaner should help remove the mildew.<br><br>Of course the key is to treat a stain immediately after it happens. If you do this right away then water usually takes car of the spill. Be sure to read the instructions on the product you use. Follow the manufacturer's directions carefully to avoid any further damage to your carpet. Stains don't have to be the end all to your get togethers. A few prevention methods as well as knowing how to treat those little accidents will make your life easier down the road.<bio>Don't let carpet stains tie you down. With the right <a href="http://www.mycleaningproducts.com/carpet-cleaning-products/"> rug cleaner</a>, you can remove those little nuisances.</bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ If you're prone to sauna neglect=97or you have stubborn stains seemingly beyond your control=97don't give up. We can show you how to get rid of the three most frustrating, yet common, water related deposits, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rust+stains" rel="tag">rust stains</a> and mineral buildup on the walls, hardened mineral deposits on faucets, and layered <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/soap+scum" rel="tag">soap scum</a> on sauna wall tile. <br /><br /> The key to removing tough stains is selecting the right cleaner, by choosing the right cleaner you won't have to add as much elbow grease; the cleaner will do the hard work. <br /><br /> We can show you the best way to remove stains on china, metal, tile, grout and fiberglass. Read the cleaners label, however, when cleaning fiberglass, stone or other man made surfaces. Use products specifically made for those surfaces. <br /><br /> The first step to save time is by keeping bathroom cleaning tools and supplies in one place. Keep it in or close to the bathroom and out of children's reach. <br /><br /> Stock the supply bucket with rubber gloves, non-scratch nylon scrubber brush, grout brush, old toothbrush, clean soft rag, large sponge, glass cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner and one all-purpose soap and lime deposit cleaner. Most all bathroom cleaning problems are a result of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hard+water" rel="tag">hard water</a>. The cause of these bathroom-cleaning challenges is the abundance of minerals found naturally in hard water, minerals like <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/calcium" rel="tag">calcium</a>, magnesium and iron. The mineral <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/particles" rel="tag">particles</a> stick to and create a hard scale on most every surface. And despite filters, and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/water+softener+systems" rel="tag">water softener systems</a> that soften water by filtering out most of these particles, 90 percent of all residences have some degree of hard water. <br /><br /> Rust colored stains form when air combines with iron particles that then begin to rust. That's why rust stains appear below a dripping faucets. A white scale on faucet spouts and screens is a common buildup of calcium and magnesium dishwashers also can accumulate calcium. Gray soap scum layers in the shower area result when soap combines with calcium and form a sticky soap like substance. <br /><br /> To remove heavy mineral scale buildup on faucets, use a product with a slight acid base use according to label directions. For weekly cleaning, an all-purpose cleaner such as Comet Bathroom or Scrubbing Bubbles will work fine. <br /><br /> If scrubbing doesn't remove hardened mineral deposits on the filter screen, unscrew the spout tip by turning it counterclockwise. Soak it overnight in vinegar, then scrub it with the toothbrush and flush with water before reinstalling. <br /><br /> Use the right cleaner make sure the cleaner is safe to use on both the faucet surface and the tub, tile or sink surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Do not use all-purpose cleaners on marble or other natural stone surfaces. Buy a special stone cleaner <bio>Jake plumer writes for <a href="http://www.hotsauna.com" >http://www.hotsauna.com</a>. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Did you know that quite a few of the common household cleaning agents you would normally reach for to clean a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+stain" rel="tag">carpet stain</a> will actually damage your carpet forever? <br /><br /> Did you know that clear <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/liquid+detergents" rel="tag">liquid detergents</a> are better for carpet stain removing than opaque ones? <br /><br /> How about this: When blotting to clean a carpet stain, should you work outward or inward? <br /><br /> Check out the tips for cleaning <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+stains" rel="tag">carpet stains</a> below. You'll be surprised how enlightening they are, and how much sense they make. <br /><br /> TIPS FOR CLEANING CARPET STAINS: <br /><br /> 1) Keep the right carpet stain cleaning supplies handy in a place all their own. Collect the following items: <br /><br /> A clear, see-through liquid detergent (non-transparent liquid detergents can leave a residue that attracts yet more dirt). <br /><br /> At least one spot remover that cuts grease, such as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/energine" rel="tag">Energine</a>. <br /><br /> Ammonia, mixed one tablespoon to one cup of water (not to be used on wool). <br /><br /> Non-oily polish remover. <br /><br /> One part white vinegar mixed with one part water. <br /><br /> Club soda. <br /><br /> White <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/paper+towels" rel="tag">paper towels</a> or cloths. <br /><br /> 2) The correct way to clean carpet stains is to first collect as much of the offending spill as possible, then blot inward (blotting outward can make the stain bigger). After that, use one of the items you have gathered together specifically for cleaning carpet stains. A lot of other common cleaning products contain chemicals that can damage the rug. Rinse well with the least amount of water necessary, and then pack the stained area with white paper towels or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/white+cloths" rel="tag">white cloths</a>. Weigh the area down and leave it for 24 hours. <br /><br /> 3) You can help extend the life of your carpets by using the following preventative tips: <br /><br /> Use a good <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+pad" rel="tag">carpet pad</a>. Put "walk-off matting" at all entryways, and keep them clean. Set up a system for cleaning carpets of dirt and stains regularly, and stick to it! <br /><br /> And remember, when it comes to cleaning carpet stains, it's like being a paramedic... the carpet you save may be your own! <bio>Jodie Phillips is a successful Webmaster and publisher of <a href="http://effective-carpet-cleaning.com/">http://effective-carpet-cleaning.com/</a> and she provides more carpet cleaning facts, tips and advice on her website, where you can research in the comfort of your own home. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Ceramic tile has become a popular flooring choice for kitchens, bathrooms and even living areas in homes. It is a great durable material that will stand up to much abuse. It does however require some regular cleaning and maintenance to keep it in great shape. Read this article and learn a few tips to help you take care of your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tile+floors" rel="tag">tile floors</a>. <br /><br /> The most basic thing that you should do is mop your ceramic floor regularly with a good <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/household+detergent" rel="tag">household detergent</a> or floor cleaner. You want to do this often to prevent stains from sinking into your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/grout+lines" rel="tag">grout lines</a> which is much harder to clean. Use the hottest water possible to allow the cleaning chemical to work at maximum efficiency. To mop, mix your water and then mop a thin layer over the entire floor. Let the solution dwell for a few minutes to loosen stuck on soil and food. Then mop the solution up, rinsing and wringing out your mop often. If you find that you have some stubborn spots you can use a soft brush to help you loosen them. Avoid using scouring pads or steel wool which could remove the finish from or scratch your tile. Once you have finished, rinse the floor with clean water. This will remove any <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/detergent+residue" rel="tag">detergent residue</a> from the floor making it brighter and keeping it from re-soiling too quickly. If the grout lines are dirty you can clean them with a concentrated mixture of detergent followed by a good fresh water rinse. For tougher grout line stains consider using a home <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/vapor+steam" rel="tag">vapor steam</a> cleaner to clean them. Get one with a nozzle that directs the steam into a thin stream. <br /><br /> As you can see it is very easy to care for tile floors. If you get to the point where you just can not clean them any longer you should consult a local carpet cleaner for an estimate on <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tile+and+grout+cleaning" rel="tag">tile and grout cleaning</a>. Sometimes it just takes a professional to do the job. <bio>Learn more about <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tile+and+grout+cleaners" rel="tag">tile and grout cleaners</a> at <a href="http://www.fortwaynecarpetcleaning.info" >http://www.fortwaynecarpetcleaning.info</a> . </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ With a hot tub comes responsibility. It's not just about fun, you have to clean your hot tub as often as possible for hygienic purposes. <br /><br /> Here are some of the commonly used hot tub cleaning tools. <br /><br /> 1. Telepoles <br /><br /> This is the main cleaning instrument you need. They are made of fiberglass of aluminum. They come in various sizes. The end has a rounded tip or a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/handgrip" rel="tag">handgrip</a> in order for your hand to not slip when you're cleaning your pool or your hot tub. It also comes with magnets so that it can pick up metallic items such as nails or hairpins. <br /><br /> 2. Wall and Floor Brush <br /><br /> These are used in order to remove the stains, dirt and materials that stick on the surface. The wall is there to brush off the spa and tub <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/interior+surfaces" rel="tag">interior surfaces</a>. These are often made from an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/aluminum+frame" rel="tag">aluminum frame</a> and come with a shank that perfectly fits your grip. They have nylon bristles that can easily brush across every end. <br /><br /> The curved kinds are used in order to get to those corners that are very tight. These wall and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/floor+brushes" rel="tag">floor brushes</a> also come in different sizes. Don't use <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wire+brushes" rel="tag">wire brushes</a> that aren't made of stainless steel because the bristles snap while you are brushing. It will also leave stains when they rust on the plaster. You also have to check whether they are rusty because these might cause further staining. <br /><br /> 3. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/vacuum+head" rel="tag">Vacuum Head</a> and Hose <br /><br /> Vacuums are specially made to suck in the dirt in the spa or hot tub. There are two procedures to vacuum these equipments. The first one is to suck the dirt and sent it into the filter. The second one is to use water pressure from the hose and force the debris in the bag then removing and cleaning it with the vacuum. <br /><br /> Vacuum heads are usually made of plastic that keeps the head above the surface as it does the cleaning. A <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/flexible+head" rel="tag">flexible head</a> lets the contour go in accordance with the curves of the hot tub and the spa. <br /><br /> 4. Tile Brush and Tile Soap <br /><br /> These are used to clean the tiles. Tile brushes don't bend too much in order to allow more cleaning. Tile soaps are often mixed of muriatic acids. These cut the stubborn oils and stains. It also eats through the plastic of the brush pads so make sure that you continue rinsing the hot tub after you apply and scrub. Don't use other kinds of soap aside from one that is made specifically for cleaning the hot tub or spa. If you do, it might only sud and foam. <br /><br /> 5. Pumice Stones <br /><br /> These are used in order to remove the scales from the hot tub tiles. It also removes the stains or other deposits from the surfaces. By using these, the surface isn't excessively scratched. <br /><br /> These stones are made from volcanic ash and are specifically made for abrasive actions. They are often sold in blocks and are attached to the telepoles or brushes in order to reach the surface easier. Pumice stones disintegrate so we suggest that you do the scrubbing before you do the vacuuming. Another alternative for pumice stones are plastic foams or Styrofoam because these do not scratch the fiberglass. <br /><br /> Brushing is the Best <br /><br /> The best way to clean your pool is through manual brushing. This removes the debris and the stains. You can also direct how clean you want your tub to be depending on how rigorous you brush. <br /><br /> Pool is the same as Spa and Hot Tub The steps for cleaning the pool also work for spas and hot tubs. Here are some tips you may consider. <br /><br /> 1. Spas are often made of fiberglass so be very mindful whenever you vacuum in order to not scratch the surface. <br /><br /> 2. You have to evaluate the water before you do the cleaning. Cleaning also invests a great amount of time but its worth it. You have to test the water in order for you determine whether you should clean it, treat it, or drain it. <br /><br /> Spa Shell Cleaning <br /><br /> Most materials used in cleaning the spas can be maintained as long as you know how to care for these items. <bio>Shopping for a new Spa, Hot Tub or Whirlpool is easy when you know the right questions to ask. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ What is a pressure washer? A pressure washer sprays air and water at very fast speed which is pressurized, this pressure makes the power of water very strong and it is able to get rid of dirt, grease, grime and stains. Pressure washer's efficiency depends upon the PSI (pounds per square inch), which indicates water pressure, and GPM (gallons per minute), which indicates the flow of the water. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pressure+washers" rel="tag">Pressure washers</a> or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/power+washers" rel="tag">power washers</a> are used in many places, car washes use it and many retail stores use it to clean the sidewalks in front of there businesses. Pressure washers or power washers are commonly used for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stubborn+stains" rel="tag">stubborn stains</a>, dirt, grime off of most kinds of surfaces including wood, glass, steel and tar via high pressure water flow. When using the pressure washer almost all them have a trigger mechanism to spray the water in a continuous spray or in short bursts. <br /><br /> Water is shot through the hose at very high pressure so that the water acts as its own abrasive. Using the pressure water it will remove stains and dirt, this is much better than using <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/abrasive+cleaners" rel="tag">abrasive cleaners</a>, the cleaners can hurt your surface when cleaning. <br /><br /> When cleaning a frame for a car you are restoring a pressure washer is perfect. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Cosmetic procedures come in all <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shapes+and+sizes" rel="tag">shapes and sizes</a> today, and can affect just about any feature that you would like to improve upon. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cosmetic+dentistry" rel="tag">Cosmetic dentistry</a> addresses a whole host of issues involving the teeth, and ranges from straightening a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/crooked+line" rel="tag">crooked line</a> of teeth to giving those <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pearly+whites" rel="tag">pearly whites</a> a spit and polish they will not soon forget. There is nothing more beautiful than a healthy shiny smile, and the good news is that there are plenty of things you can do to ensure you are putting your best smile forward every single day.<br><br>Teeth whitening has made tremendous strides since it was originally introduced in dentists' offices, and today these treatments can be found for every preference and budget. Whether you are looking for a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/professional+treatment" rel="tag">professional treatment</a> from your dentist or prefer to handle the process in the privacy of your home, there is a whitening system that will provide the results you are hoping for.<br><br>Whitening vs. Bleaching<br><br>Before you run out to the drugstore to pick up your own teeth whitening kit or make an appointment with your dentist to discuss your options, there are a few things to know about the whitening process. First, there is a difference between products that claim to bleach the teeth and those that actually whiten them. Bleaching is the term allowed by the FDA to describe the process of whitening the teeth beyond their original color. The bleaches that are typically used in these products include <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hydrogen+peroxide" rel="tag">hydrogen peroxide</a> or carbamide peroxide.<br><br>Whitening is a process that will restore teeth to their original color by cleaning the surface of debris and staining. This means that any product that effectively cleans the teeth can be referred to as a teeth whitener. However, some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bleaching+products" rel="tag">bleaching products</a> may also refer to themselves as "whitening" formulas because the term is more appealing to consumers.<br><br>Why do Teeth Stain?<br><br>There are many factors that can contribute to yellowing teeth. Age and genetics are two factors that you cannot control but can make a big difference in how white your teeth remain. Other contributors to a less brilliant smile may be smoking, diet, medication and trauma to the mouth. Both extrinsic stains (those that appear on the surface of the teeth) and intrinsic stains that form on the teeth's interior can be good candidates for the right teeth whitening system.<br><br>Teeth whitening can be done at home with kits that can be purchased from the drugstore or in a dentist's office. More stubborn stains may require the help of your dentist to get rid of them, while lighter surface stains may respond quite nicely with a home treatment. The cost between professional and take home treatments can vary considerably, so you want to weigh your choice somewhat carefully.<br><br>The best part of teeth whitening is that it works. Whether you choose to whiten at home or head to your dentist's office for a professional treatment, these solutions can bring back the whiter, brighter smile of your youth. If teeth whitening is a process you are interested in, talk to your dentist about your choices today.<bio>More information on <a href='http://www.vivaskincare.com/services/teeth-whitening.php'>teeth whitening</a>, <a href='http://www.vivaskincare.com/services/tattoo-removal.php'>laser tattoo removal</a> and <a href='http://www.vivaskincare.com/'>Boston teeth whitening</a> in Massachusetts in your area is just a click away.</bio>]]></content:encoded>

The glands in the nose become adapted to the smell, but your guests will smell it.<br><br>So how can you get rid of pet stains and why should you consider trying something that disinfects the carpet as well as removes the stains.<br><br>The simple fact that pet stains are caused by urine, feces, blood, or vomit throws up a big warning. All these items can cause bacteria and rot the carpeting as well as your insides. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pet+urine" rel="tag">Pet urine</a> contains ammonia, this can be extremely harmful to you and your pet. Don't even think about using bleach, because the mixture of bleach and ammonia will have your nose in a tail spin.<br><br>So what about vinegar?<br><br>If you are thinking about using vinegar to remove pet stains and odors then you are in for a big surprise. You see vinegar has a unique odor that really stinks in my opinion. In fact, vinegar can make your entire house smell even worse then messy pet stains and odors.<br><br>Don't even think of using vinegar on the carpeting. Vinegar is potent and will create a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/funky+odor" rel="tag">funky odor</a> for months that you will never be able to get rid of. As for pet stains and vinegar, I would recommend not to mess with it. You need something that will neutralize and deodorize the odor.<br><br>A popular raw material to clean pet stains and odors is enzymes. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pet+stain+removers" rel="tag">Pet stain removers</a> are now beginning to use enzymes and some are using organic raw materials.<br><br>These <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/organic+pet" rel="tag">organic pet</a> stain removers also disinfect and can terminate bacteria so it not only cleans and deodorizes, you also will get rid of messy diseases that can harm you and your pet.<br><br>Pet stain removers are now turning to a natural safe raw material that will be able to neutralize pet stains without damaging the carpets, no matter how old the carpeting is.<br><br>Now with so many natural cleaning products developed, it is about time a few major companies have developed pet stain removers from natural raw materials. In fact the pet stain removers neutralize pet stains and odors entirely as well as been tested to get rid of bacteria. Somewhat like a disinfectant anti-microbial pet stain remover.<br><br>For free samples or to try going green with pet stain removers you can look at a few new product launches that are going to be happening like <a href="http://www.mycleaningproducts.com/pet_products.html" title="http://www.mycleaningproducts.com/pet_products.html" target="_blank">http://www.mycleaningproducts.com/pet_products.html</a> For a limited time you can be given a chance to try there new Stainerizer pet stain remover.<br><br>Go green and be sure to stay away from harsh chemicals, not only can they hurt your carpets and furniture, they can kill you and your pets. To look for natural cleaning products research the raw materials of the MSDS sheets. These will tell you if any hazardous raw materials are contained in the formula. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Imagine that you are hosting a party for some of your best friends. The atmosphere is bubbling with the excitement of everyone chatting and mingling with each other, when all of a sudden you hear a crashing sound and see the sight that every host prays will never happen; a glass of red wine has taken a swan dive and landed not on your tile floor where it is easy to clean up but on to your very embarrassed guest and all over your furniture. It would appear that Murphy's Law has struck again, but don't panic, it is possible to get <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/red+wine+stains" rel="tag">red wine stains</a> out! <br /><br /> The first thing to do (aside from not <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/panicking" rel="tag">panicking</a>) when cleaning red <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wine+spills" rel="tag">wine spills</a> is to remove the excess spillage. If the wine has been spilled on a couch or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet" rel="tag">carpet</a> take an absorbent cloth (something you don't mind being stained) or paper towel and blot the excess wine, do not rub in any way! The point of blotting it to remove the wine without working it further into the fabric. If it was a piece of clothing that has been spilled on, remove the article and blot in the same manner. <br /><br /> Once the excess wine has been removed it is very important to rinse the carpet, furniture or clothing to dilute the wine before it has a chance to set in. The best method for this is going to vary on what exactly where the spill is. For clothing or other items that are easily removed, pour cold water from the backside. For items such as carpets and sofas pouring water directly onto the stain and blotting with an absorbent cloth immediately works best. <br /><br /> There is a good chance that this will not take the stain out completely. Carpet and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/furniture+cleaner" rel="tag">furniture cleaner</a> very well may need to be used. In the past I have had much success with Resolve cleaners for carpets, and for laundry there are many stain removers that should be helpful. A little trick my mother taught me which works wonders is <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lestoil" rel="tag">Lestoil</a>. I know some of you may be thinking to yourself that you always thought Lestoil was a floor cleaner, but when diluted with water and used as a soaking agent it works wonders on lots of stains including grease (when mixed with hot water) and wine (when mixed with cold water). <br /><br /> Of course even with all your best efforts there is always the chance that the red wine is going to be so stubborn that you need to call in the professionals. Carpets and furniture sometimes are dry clean only but it is still best to remove as much of the stain as possible while it is still wet because this will make it easier for the professionals to remove the remnants. <br /><br /> The key to ensuring effective stain removal is time. Do not let a stain sit for days or weeks before deciding to try to remove it and don't wait a week before ringing a carpet cleaner because by then it might just be too late and the stain is now a permanent fixture. The same goes for clothing, don't wait to wash your shirt or pants. I once watched a friend take a shirt out of the washing machine become horrified at the fact that the red wine didn't come out of her top. When I asked her when she spilled on herself, she told me that it was from a week before. No wonder the stain didn't come out! <br /><br /> In the end there is always going to be the possibility that the stain has decided that it never wants to come out or it will not come out completely. Taking the proper steps the moment a spill occurs can greatly reduce the chance of a permanent stain. There is no easy way to prevent spills and stains, aside from slipcovers or not serving red wine at social events, so when a spill does happen remember to stay calm, work quickly and to blot. <bio>Ken Finnigan is the CEO of <a href="http://www.finestwineracks.com" >http://www.finestwineracks.com</a> a website specializing in quality decorative wine racks and durable wine storage systems. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Nearly everyone has carpet in their homes and can use a few good tips for the care and cleaning of carpet. <br /><br /> No one like avoiding inviting friends and family over to your home because the carpet has odors or embarrassing <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+stains" rel="tag"><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+stain" rel="tag">carpet stain</a>s</a>. Maybe it is because your pets or children track dirt and mud through the home after being outside. Maybe it is because of drink spills on the carpet. <br /><br /> Whatever the reason, you can put an end to dirty, smelly carpet if you choose to with the following tips on keeping your carpet stain and odor free. <br /><br /> The first thing you need to do is routine maintenance to prolong the life of your carpet. Make sure to vacuum regularly because dirt, grime and even <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pet+hair" rel="tag">pet hair</a> can accumulate within the fibers of the carpet to cause a dirty appearance and in some cases problems for those with allergies. If you leave the dirt to build up it can cause damage to the carpet and make it more difficult to clean when you do it. <br /><br /> Make sure to clean up any spills immediately before the stain sets in or odors spring up. If the spill is of a solid consistency you may use <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/paper+towels" rel="tag">paper towels</a> to remove as much as possible prior to addressing any stain in the carpet. Do not rub the stain but lift it straight off the carpet to keep the staining to a minimum. After the mess is removed you can begin to clean the spot with a paper towel and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/plain+water" rel="tag">plain water</a>. At first use a blotting motion in the area followed by a clockwise motion and then a counter clockwise motion to remove any stains. You do not want to scrub at the carpet because that can damage the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carpet+fibers" rel="tag">carpet fibers</a>. <br /><br /> Lastly you should use as mild a cleaner as possible for the stain. If water does not remove it add just a touch of detergent and this should remove most stains that you encounter. If this technique does not take the stain out there is another article with additional <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stain+removal+tips" rel="tag">stain removal tips</a> mentioned later in the article. You should know that some chemicals may damage carpets so best is to use chemicals that are designed for use on carpet and even then use them sparingly. <br /><br /> Whenever working on stains you should make sure to used gloves to protect your skin and test in a small less noticeable area to make sure the carpet does not discolor. Use circular motions and smaller amounts of liquid, there is no need to saturate the area. When finished rinse with clean water and blot dry with clean white towels to remove as much liquid as possible. <br /><br /> If you can take the time to clean up stains and spills immediately, it will help to prevent odors and persistent stains that can cause embarrassment when trying to get together with friends and family. <br /><br /> Cleaning up spills to prevent stains and odors may not be fun, but it is necessary when you want to keep your carpet looking and smelling its best. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ When the furniture is stuffed and swathed with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fabric" rel="tag">fabric</a> or leather cover, it is called as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/upholstery" rel="tag">upholstery</a>. Upholstery makes the furniture more comfortable and gives a trendy and rich look to you rooms. The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/upholstered+furniture" rel="tag">upholstered furniture</a> look beautiful befitting to the home d=E9cor. But their cleaning is also very essential as it cannot be done with ordinary cleaning. The upholstery requires different cleaning and proper care. All the stains cannot be removed in a single way; you need to apply different methods of removing stains depending on the type of stains. <br /><br /> The stains on your upholstery can mar the looks of your furniture; don't consider the hard and tough stains as a very big problem as simple cleaning tips on different surface materials will help you to do the job easily. The upholstered furniture is no doubt expensive like you have sofa, chair, loveseat and many more. It can get dirty with if you eat on sofa and bits of food falls down and drinks that leave stains on sofa, dirty feet and dirty clothing. <br /><br /> Before initiating the process of cleaning find out the fabric to be cleaned. The best way to clean is to test it in the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/inconspicuous+area" rel="tag">inconspicuous area</a> to ensure no discoloration or damage is done to the fabric. With the simple steps and different cleaning methods given below can help you to remove stains effectively. <br /><br /> If it is a greasy stain so the best option is to choose a dry cleaning <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/solvent" rel="tag">solvent</a> easily available in any grocery or retail stores. Put the solvent on a clean white cloth and blot at the stain, do not rub. Mix a mild ph balanced detergent in one cup of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/warm+water" rel="tag">warm water</a> and blot it on the stain, after that use a towel to sponge the solvent and detergent off with clean warm water and let the spot dry. <br /><br /> Some may feel weird but baby wipes can prove effective in cleaning some upholstery. In this too much water and soap is not required and the alcohol in the wipes makes sure that it evaporates quickly. If the stains are mild they can be removed by the inexpensive sprays available. These upholstery sprays work quite well but should be used carefully. These sprays won't work if the stains are large patch of oil or grease. <br /><br /> The loose dirt which gets collected everyday on the upholstery can be removed by the vacuum cleaner. You should be wary if your sofa or a chair is an expensive one, the upholstery of such furniture usually has lot of organic material inside. In such cases it is advisable to get cleaned professionally rather than trying tips that ca be tried at home as it worth the investment. <br /><br /> It is a common problem to have hair of pet on your upholstery. To remove those hair use a pet rake, velour brush or even tape wrapped around your hand. The light and even strokes will remove the hair from upholstery. If not you can try with the rubber bottom on a clean tennis shoe, even the slightly dampened sponge can be used but see to it that it does not damage the upholstery. The vacuum cleaner with a beater roll or beater brush can be of great help. The place where vacuum cleaner cannot reach one can use a pet sponge. The pet sponge is available at every pet supply stores and is used dry. <bio>Looking for more information on Upholstery Cleaning visit <a href="http://www.upholstery-cleaning.net" >http://www.upholstery-cleaning.net</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Natural cleaning products industry now have a new outlook on getting rid of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pet+stains" rel="tag">pet stains</a> and pet odors. The problem most do not find until they are sick is that when pet stain carpeting, they leave behind bacteria and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/digestive+enzymes" rel="tag">digestive enzymes</a> that can pollute he lungs of humans as well as pets.<br><br>Many pets stains not only keep a dark film of soot on the carpet or furniture, they also leave very pungent odors. This is where most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pet+stain+removers" rel="tag">pet stain removers</a> are not cutting the problem and here is why.<br><br>In older formulations, most are formulated with the same solution as your common household cleaner or all purpose cleaner. This is mostly because of the scent and the harsh chemical that will initially clean the stain, but let us look a bit deeper. What about the bacteria and ammonia, this is causing problems for individuals with compromised immunity systems.<br><br>When you see a pet stain, there is a stain from the urine or feces. But also more importantly there is bacteria that settles to the fibers of the carpeting. This bacteria is not always removed from usual pet stain removers and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/household+cleaners" rel="tag">household cleaners</a>. This is where a mixture of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/natural+enzymes" rel="tag">natural enzymes</a> materials.<br><br>Why using vinegar and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/natural+household" rel="tag">natural household</a> cleaners may worsen the area.<br><br>While it is is possible to clean pet stain with natural cleaners in the kitchen, be careful to stay away from bleach and vinegar. In most cases bleach will literally cause a chemical reaction with ammonia and totally pollute the area. You will immediately smell the most pungent odor and the mix of chemicals can definitely hurt your lungs.<br><br>Inhalation of ammonia will cause damage to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/human+lungs" rel="tag">human lungs</a> as well as pets. In many cases there is pet abuse due to amount of high chemicals of ammonia caused from pet urine. Cat urine and dog urine both have ammonia and to allow them to settle on the carpet can be bad for you, your family and pet.<br><br>You will not always have to remove the carpeting. There are new natural cleaning products that are perfect for pet stains and pet odors by <a href="http://www.mycleaningproducts.com" title="http://www.mycleaningproducts.com" target="_blank">http://www.mycleaningproducts.com</a>.<br><br>There is other solutions to getting rid of pet stains literally with no wiping. Also as an added bonus the smells and bacteria will be neutralized not leaving any dangerous chemicals and bacteria behind. When battling pet stains be sure to use a natural pet stain remover that contains a natural enzyme that can destroy the bacteria, stains, and odors. Don't be fooled using vinegar, this pungent odor will stain inside the home for quite a while and not destroy pet odors, but only mask them.
