<content:encoded><![CDATA[Everyone knows that a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hangover" rel="tag">hangover</a> is one of life's most depressing and demoralizing experiences. You feel weak in your muscles and bones, you reject the offers of food or drink, and you badly want to phone the boss and tell him to get lost. It's uncomfortable, and it leaves you feeling terrible as you wish it away as quickly as possible. "Why me?", you mumble from your sick bed. "I'm never <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/drinking+alcohol" rel="tag">drinking alcohol</a> again". <br /><br /> Well folks, as your grandma would always say prevention is better than cure. The best and most effective way of handling a hangover is to avoid it altogether, which is pretty easy to do. Having said that, there aren't many of us that see the enjoyment in avoiding alcohol altogether. If you know in advance that you are going out to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/drink+alcohol" rel="tag">drink alcohol</a>, there are loads of measures you can take to avoid that dreaded morning after feeling. Firstly, fill up on food before you go out. Drinking with an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/empty+stomach" rel="tag">empty stomach</a> isn't a good idea, and if your stomach is full, it will help to absorb the alcohol at a slower rate, which stops those nasty hangovers. Another good idea is to make sure you drink loads of water as the symptoms you'll feel in the morning will largely be down to dehydration. <br /><br /> When you're out there having a good time, remember to take care when choosing what to drink. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sugary+drinks" rel="tag">Sugary drinks</a>, or drinks like wine are likely to make you feel bad the next day. Another <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wise+idea" rel="tag">wise idea</a> is to keep with one drink for the night, which will make a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+upset" rel="tag">stomach upset</a> less likely, and will probably lead you to drink less overall. Again when you're out, make sure you keep drinking water to keep you fully hydrated. <br /><br /> When you stumble in the door, make sure you down a couple of glasses of cold water. Avoid any medications which could affect your stomach badly with the alcohol, although if you're looking to take something, try a multivitamin to curb your illness. <br /><br /> When your eyes open the next morning, you will hopefully have done enough to stave off the worst of the symptoms. If you're suffering from the effects, it's a good idea to stay clear of coffee, and try to drink as much water as you can to help re-hydrate your body. If you're still not feeling great, you should really try to avoid going into work. It is never a good idea to lie to your boss, but if you find have to, try the flu or a stomach upset as an effective excuse, as your body will be full of nasty toxins which can take a while to leave your system. When you feel able to eat go for foods high in vitamins and minerals, and some even think that fattier, less healthy foods will help settle your stomach. <bio>Keith is the editor of a top <a href="http://www.pronetodisease.com" >http://www.pronetodisease.com</a> website, and he also runs a site about <a href="http://www.petsinsight.com" >http://www.petsinsight.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ There are many symptoms of GERD that are troublesome. Though they might not signal the end of the world, they can be very hard to live with. Some sufferers escape the worst of the symptoms and only have heartburn now and again with mild pain. However, there are some people who are left with a feeling of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/constant+heartburn" rel="tag">constant heartburn</a> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nausea" rel="tag">nausea</a> that haunts them day and night. It might be enough to drive a person to try just about anything to get rid of the feeling. <br /><br /> There are a few things a person can try to keep the nausea at bay, but until the condition is treated with medication, the relief will be momentary for most. <br /><br /> One of the best ways to keep nausea down to a minimum is to eat the right things as often as possible. There are foods and drinks that are known to upset someone with GERD, and if they can avoid these for the most part, they may find their upset stomach is a thing of the past. <br /><br /> When eating these good foods, it is also recommended to eat more often through out the day. Instead of having three regular sized meals, someone with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/acid+reflux" rel="tag">acid reflux</a> might find some relief from having smaller meals and a few snacks in between. It is also recommended that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/gerd+sufferers" rel="tag">GERD sufferers</a> should stop eating two or three hours before going to bed at night. <br /><br /> When nausea is an issue, you may wish to seek relief via <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/medications" rel="tag">medications</a>. These can help keep all symptoms down to a minimum, and can also <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/promote+healing" rel="tag">promote healing</a>. <br /><br /> Nausea means a bad case of reflux, and with that, there comes a need for healing of damaged tissues. The most common reflux medication given is called the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/proton+pump+inhibitor" rel="tag">proton pump inhibitor</a>. These slow acid production and allow healing, usually within two months. Not only will these medications promote healing, but also many of the more troubling symptoms will disappear, or not be nearly as bothersome. <br /><br /> There are other medications that a doctor may or may not recommend. These are for those who have nausea for a variety of reasons, and are most commonly given to those who are going through chemotherapy. A doctor will not give these unless the nausea is really bad, and also if they will not interact with other prescriptions. Though these are not given often for acid reflux, it wouldn't hurt to talk to a doctor about the possibility of taking them for a short time if nausea is affecting daily life. <br /><br /> There are also some things you can find in your local store to help. Peppermint has long been used to help settle an upset stomach. Finding a sugar-free peppermint candy might do the trick. <br /><br /> There are other simple things that can be taken to help with constant heartburn nausea that you might remember from childhood. Ginger ale type soda can have a great calming affect on the stomach, but it is always a good idea to let it go flat before drinking, as the carbonation can be a problem for reflux sufferers. Eating a slice of bread or some crackers might help soak up some of the excess acid and will calm and soothe the stomach in many cases. <bio>By Kathryn Whittaker. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ We now know that daily <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/aspirin+therapy" rel="tag">aspirin therapy</a> helps lower the risk of heart attack and clot-related strokes. Aspirin interferes with the blood's clotting action. If blood vessels are already narrowed from accumulation of fatty deposits and/or and scar tissue, a blood clot can quickly block the artery. This prevents blood flow to the heart or brain and causes a heart attack or stroke. Aspirin therapy reduces the clumping action of the platelets =97 thereby possibly preventing heart attack and stroke. <br /><br /> Analysis has shown that the minimum dose of 75 mg <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/plain+aspirin" rel="tag">plain aspirin</a> is the lowest effective dose for heart protection, though most cardiologist are now recommending a daily full-dosage 325 <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mg+aspirin" rel="tag">mg aspirin</a>. <br /><br /> Increased aspirin use, however can increase the risk of bleeding and can lead to stomach upset in some people. In order to avoid stomach upset, some people on aspirin therapy are taking the enteric form; the coated aspirin that is supposed to save sensitive stomachs from irritation by dissolving in the small intestine instead of the stomach where most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/prescription+medications" rel="tag">prescription medications</a> are dissolved. <br /><br /> Unfortunately, some new research shows that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/enteric+coated+aspirin" rel="tag">enteric coated aspirin</a> is not as bioavailable as plain aspirin. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/this+means+that" rel="tag">This means that</a> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/enteric+aspirin" rel="tag">enteric aspirin</a> is not absorbed into the blood stream as well as is regular aspirin, which makes it less effective at preventing heart attack and/or stroke. A recent study by Dermot Cox, PHD, at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, published in Stroke, showed that levels of thromboxane, a substance that contributes to blood clots, were substantially higher in people who took enteric aspirin compared with people who took regular aspirin. <br /><br /> The study by Cox suggests that poor absorption from the high PH environment of the small intestine may be the reason that enteric aspirin is not as effective as regular aspirin. Cox's study found that this was particularly true in subjects who were heavier. <br /><br /> Thus, people who are on aspirin therapy to prevent heart attack and stroke who may want to consider enteric aspirin to prevent upset stomach or GI bleeding, may find that the enteric aspirin delivers inadequate protection for the heart and brain. <br /><br /> Anyone on aspirin therapy should absolutely not change either the dose or the type of aspirin they are taking without first talking to their physician. But it is important, particularly if the patient is heavier, to pursue discussion with their doctor. You want to be certain that the aspirin regimen you are using is the most effective regimen for you. <bio>Pat is a staff writer for <a href="http://www.heart--disease.org" >http://www.heart--disease.org</a> and <a href="http://www.cholesteroldrugreviews.com" >http://www.cholesteroldrugreviews.com</a> and <a href="http://www.earlypregnancysignsymptom.com" >http://www.earlypregnancysignsymptom.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Was your latest bout of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+flu" rel="tag">stomach flu</a> really the stomach flu? Or was it some other virus that found its way into your intestines? Kid get sick and throw up all the time -- is it always the stomach flu? Actually, it is probably not. It turns out that what most of us think of as the stomach flu is really something else, a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/gastrointestinal+virus" rel="tag">gastrointestinal virus</a>. The flu is actually a respiratory illness, everyone just thinks that the stomach flu is that horrible sickly <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/diarrhea" rel="tag">diarrhea</a>. Even some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/doctors" rel="tag">doctors</a> have started calling it the flu, just so people know what they are talking about. <br /><br /> If you have children, then you probably know how much the stomach flu can affect them. In most cases the name of the virus that they actually have is the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rotavirus" rel="tag">Rotavirus</a>. This is especially common in small children. This is not the only thing that can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Your child could be sick due to some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nasty+bacteria" rel="tag">nasty bacteria</a> that found its way in, or even parasites. If your child is ill for more than a couple of days or is <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/running+a+fever" rel="tag">running a fever</a>, it is always better to be safe than sorry, and take your child to the doctor. <br /><br /> A lot of times parents don't want to call the doctor about the stomach flu, but it is okay to if you are worried. That is what doctors are for, to support you and let you know what is going on, so that you don't have to worry about it any more. <br /><br /> The notion that the stomach flu is only supposed to last a day or so is completely off the mark. Most people stay sick with the stomach flu for days -- even a week. It all depends on which kind of stomach flu you or your child gets, because some are just stronger and nastier than others. <br /><br /> Whatever you do when your child has the stomach flu, you need to keep him or her well-hydrated. Lots and lots of water is going to make the stomach flu go away that much sooner, and it is going to keep your child feeling better than they would without the fluids. This is even more important if your child has diarrhea. In this case, it can be downright dangerous if your son or daughter is not getting enough water. You may want to look into getting some Pediasure, as it has the electrolytes your child's body needs when it is dehydrated. <bio>Dorothy Brown writes articles for several web sites, including <a href="http://foraw.com" >http://foraw.com</a> and <a href="http://mowek.com" >http://mowek.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Our <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach" rel="tag">stomach</a> is one of the parts of the body that receives the harshest treatment and the least appreciation. Think about it. When is the last time you were really thankful that your stomach was working properly? Perhaps it takes seeing a friend or family member who has a rough stomach for us to really be grateful for our stomach health. But it shouldn't. We should be consistently treating our stomach with care so that it can do it's job well without causing us pain. <br /><br /> Being good to your stomach can be simple. Maybe you are already making <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wise+choices" rel="tag">wise choices</a> for your stomach or perhaps you will have to make some severe <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lifestyle+changes" rel="tag">lifestyle changes</a> in order to really be good to your stomach. Whatever it requires, you should commit to being good to your stomach from this point forward. <br /><br /> What does it mean to be good to your stomach? Basically, to be good to your stomach means watching the things you put into it and the things you do. Surely everyone has experienced the pain of eating a meal that is too spicy or too greasy or too full of acid. Our <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomachs" rel="tag">stomachs</a> do so much in the process of breaking down our <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/food+choices" rel="tag">food choices</a>. Many times our stomachs are able to cover up some of our eating "sins," but other times they let us know that we have made a poor choice. I'm convinced that we owe it to our stomachs (not to mention to the rest of our bodies) to make <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/healthy+eating" rel="tag">healthy eating</a> choices that are easy on our bodies and good for our health. <br /><br /> Take some time to evaluate the things you are putting into your stomach each day. Are you being kind or harsh? Do you notice any patterns that could perhaps be harmful to your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/digestive+system" rel="tag">digestive system</a>? If so, consider changing them. You only have one stomach, and therefore it requires your upmost attention and care. Different stomachs have different levels of tolerance for spices, acids, and foods. You may not be able to eat everything your neighbor or even your spouse can eat. It is important that you learn, if you haven't already, what is good for you and stick to it. <br /><br /> The great thing about learning to eat based on the reaction of your stomach is that you will end up making good choices not only for your stomach but also for the rest of your body. The chances are high that what is good for your stomach will also benefit your body and your overall health. So be intentional about what you eat and drink and don't hesitate to pass up things that aren't good for you or your stomach. <bio>Rachael Cleipher has learned some stomach lessons the hard way. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Even after having a stomach stapling only about thirty percent of patients will achieve their <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ideal+weight" rel="tag">ideal weight</a> as categorized by the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/body+mass+index" rel="tag">body mass index</a>. This goes to show that stomach stapling is a last resort measure intended to save your life, not make you look superstar thin. Althought there are some patients who achieve this after they have their stomach stapling. If you work out and stick to your new diet you have every chance of being one of that thirty percent. <br /><br /> On the up side eighty percent of those that undergoe <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+stapling+surgery" rel="tag">stomach stapling surgery</a> lose weight. This is the reason stomach stapling is widely used and considered effective. People that couldn't lose weight for years prior to the surgery finally begin to see results after having their stomach stapling. On average the patients who have surgery lose about sixty percent of their overall previous body weight. For many this is the lifesaver. They are still considered overweight according to their <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bmi" rel="tag">BMI</a> but they are healthy, able to move around and often find that they lose previous medical problems. These problems can be, asthma, diabetes, heart disease, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/high+cholesterol" rel="tag">high cholesterol</a>, and muscle and joint pain. <br /><br /> Though you should remember that a portion of those that underwent a stomach stapling and lost excess weight regained that weight in three to five years of their surgery. This is likely due to falling back on old dietary habits, such as eating high calorie foods, and returning to a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sedentary+lifestyle" rel="tag">sedentary lifestyle</a>. Stomach stapling may not always work and give the patient good results. If a patient doesn't continue to follow or use their dietary guidelines that their doctor or nutritionist provides they will regain weight. The stomach stapling is a tool that's part of what you need in order to change your life. This is an important <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/thing+to+remember" rel="tag">thing to remember</a> when considering stomach stapling surgery. <bio>Read more <a href="<a href="http://www.stomach-stapling.info">http://www.stomach-stapling.info.</a>/sitemap.html"><a href="http://www.stomach-stapling.info">http://www.stomach-stapling.info.</a>/sitemap.html</a> and <a href="<a href="http://www.stomach-stapling.info">http://www.stomach-stapling.info.</a>/stomach-stapling-info-index.htm"><a href="http://www.stomach-stapling.info">http://www.stomach-stapling.info.</a>/stomach-stapling-info-index.htm</a> or visit our <a href="http://www.stomach-stapling.info">http://www.stomach-stapling.info.</a>. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Between fifty and ninety-five percent of all pregnant women, as well as some women who use hormonal contraception <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/experience+morning+sickness" rel="tag">experience morning sickness</a>, which is also referred to as nausea, vomiting of pregnancy, or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pregnancy+sickness" rel="tag">pregnancy sickness</a>. The nausea can range from being mild to severe enough to induce actual vomiting. Extreme cases, which are referred to as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hyperemesis+gravidarum" rel="tag">hyperemesis gravidarum</a> may result in hospitalization to treat dehydration. Although morning sickness can occur at any time throughout the day, it often occurs upon waking since blood sugar levels are at their lowest after a night without food. This condition usually begins in the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/first+month+of+pregnancy" rel="tag">first month of pregnancy</a>, where it is at its worst between the fifth and seventh weeks and ends around the fourteenth or sixteenth week. At this point in pregnancy, the embryo's organ systems are being laid down and the embryo is most susceptible to birth defects. Although there is not enough evidence to blame one single cause, there are many theories for possible causes of this condition. Some of these include: an increase in the level of estrogen circulating throughout the blood; <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/low+blood+sugar" rel="tag">low blood sugar</a>, which often occurs <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/during+pregnancy" rel="tag">during pregnancy</a>; an increase in progesterone which relaxes the muscles in the uterus, preventing early childbirth, but also relaxes the stomach and intestines, leading to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/excess+stomach+acid" rel="tag">excess stomach acid</a>; and an increase in sensitivity to odors, which in return over-stimulates normal nausea triggers. Women who deal with morning sickness are told to avoid foods that are bitter, pungent, or highly-flavored, as well as foods that are likely to contain toxins. Morning sickness offers an evolutionary advantage, since studies have demonstrated that those women with more severe morning sickness are less likely to miscarry or have a child with birth defects.<br /><br /><br /><br /> For those of you who are pregnant and are having problems with morning sickness, there are ways to help. At least half of all pregnant women experience some type of upset stomach at least once during their pregnancy. If the morning sickness is mild, there are a couple things you can do in order to control it. First, avoid any foods or smells that will trigger your stomach to be upset. It's a good idea to develop certain eating habits which decrease the frequency of morning sickness such as eating small frequent meals and avoiding hunger pains. You should plan on eating a snack high in protein in the evening to regulate your blood sugar and a few crackers or toast in the morning after waking. It's also a good idea to take a prenatal vitamin daily. If problems consist, try drinking ginger, peppermint, fennel seed, and red raspberry teas regularly. Flat sprite can also help to settle an upset stomach. Some women use acupressure bands, breathing exercises, and aromatherapy to relieve morning sickness.<br /><br />If your morning sickness is severe, you should see a doctor. Your nausea may be connected with other problems or you may be suffering from a type of morning sickness that can endanger your health and cause pregnancy complications. Although the causes are unknown, treatment usually consists of vitamin shots or pills anti-nausea medication, and IVs to re-hydrate you if vomiting is causing serious problems. <bio>More information on vitamins and herbs can be found at <a href="http://vitanetonline.com/" >http://vitanetonline.com/</a> where articles and vitamins are available to browse.<br /><br /> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/puppies" rel="tag">PUPPIES</a>- When your puppy is very young, 8-12 weeks old, you will need to feed it four times a day. You can taper your puppy's feeding schedule gradually as it gets older. Puppies three to six months old require three meals a day. Twice a day feeding is optimal for puppies six months to one year old. After your dog celebrates its first birthday, the feeding schedule should diminish to one meal a day. For larger canines and dogs susceptible to bloating, you can feed them two smaller meals a day. The food you feed your dog or puppy should be premium dry food for a well balanced diet. <br /><br /><br /><br />This may be combined with canned dog food, water or broth. Some dogs like a treat of people food to accompany their daily cuisine such as cooked eggs, fruits, cottage cheese and vegetables. Go easy on the people food with puppies as it can result in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/vitamin+deficiencies" rel="tag">vitamin deficiencies</a>, teeth and bone problems, obesity, picky <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/eating+habits" rel="tag">eating habits</a> and annoying <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/table+manners" rel="tag">table manners</a> such as begging while owners are having dinner! You must always make sure your pup or dog has lots of clean water and wash your dog's food and water bowls regularly. <br /><br /> Puppies' nutritional needs are different than their adult dog counterparts. Choosing a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/puppy+food" rel="tag">puppy food</a> that has good nutrition balance <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/will+ensure+that" rel="tag">will ensure that</a> your pup is getting the right amount of protein, calcium and the correct amount of calories. You should always check labels of dog and puppy food before buying and confirm that the first ingredient is meat and not meat by-products. When your puppy begins teething this may affect its eating habits and your puppy may not have much of an appetite. Don't panic, this is normal. Check with your veterinarian regarding breed types and feeding habits, some larger breeds require puppy food up to year two or when they have reached full maturity for nutritional reasons. <br /><br /> Your puppy will have a healthier and stronger digestive system and will not suffer maladies like upset stomach or diarrhea if you feed it the same food every day. Puppies' systems don't adjust well to change and it's a good idea to stick to the same schedule of feeding time on a daily basis. Even though your little loyal companion will look at you with sad and hungry puppy eyes, do your best not to give in and overfeed it. As your puppy grows, you will change its food to a new brand or flavor type. Doing this gradually by mixing some of the old food with the new food until you have transitioned your puppy over will help it adjust to the digestive changes that result from this change. <br /><br /><br /><br />It is normal for puppies to experience some stomach upset problems and this is no cause for alarm if the symptoms go away within a day or two. Your puppy's appetite will change as it grows and it is a good idea to monitor the changes you see with your puppy. Contact your veterinarian if upset stomach or diarrhea occurs for a longer amount of time. <bio>Also visit <a href="http://theworldsbesthomepage.com/blog/category/home/pets" >http://theworldsbesthomepage.com/blog/category/home/pets</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[After you have your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+stapling+surgery" rel="tag">stomach stapling surgery</a> your surgeon or doctor may have told you that you will lose weight at a fairly rapid pace. Many find that they lose their weight within the first year. The years after this may find them losing some weight, but it will mainly be their job to simply maintain the new body weight that they've achieved. <br /><br /> The stomach stapling surgery does come with many risks and complications. You could develop an infection. You could actually die. About one half to one percent of all stomach stapling patients die during or after the surgery. Plus there is the chance that you may need to have surgery at a later date in order to fix a complication that has come up. Sometimes the bands around the stomach slip or wear through the stomach lining. Sometimes the patients <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/staples" rel="tag">staples</a> tear lose and need to be replaced. <br /><br /> Also due to your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rapid+weight+loss" rel="tag">rapid weight loss</a> after years of being obese you may find that your skin begins to hang down on your body. There may be a lot or a little bit of sagging skin depending of a variety of factors. Your speed of weight loss. Whether or not you are being very active. Your age can even affect this. If you are younger your skin will have an easier time shrinking and will thus shrink faster than if you are older. <br /><br /> Most people with loose skin will find that their skin shrinks back eventually though it may take up to a year. Sometimes it becomes very inconvinent and uncomfortable for people and they look into skin removal surgery. <br /><br /> Skin removal surgery is sometimes referred to as '<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/body+contouring" rel="tag">body contouring</a>' or 'body lift' surgery and involves the removal of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/excess+skin" rel="tag">excess skin</a> hanging down from your body, which can leave scars but this is othen considered an easy trade. <bio>Read more <a href="<a href="http://www.stomach-stapling.<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/org" rel="tag">org</a>">http://www.stomach-stapling.org.</a>/sitemap.html"><a href="http://www.stomach-stapling.org">http://www.stomach-stapling.org.</a>/sitemap.html</a> and v or visit our <a href="http://www.stomach-stapling.org">http://www.stomach-stapling.org.</a>. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Heartburn on overdrive! <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/acid+reflux+disease" rel="tag">Acid reflux disease</a> is a result of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+acid" rel="tag">stomach acid</a> that simply doesn't stay where it is supposed to... in the stomach. Instead of staying in the stomach the wayward gastric acid decides to back flow up the esophagus and back into the mouth. <br /><br /> Yuck! <br /><br /> Leaving a wickedly bitter taste, this stomach acid on a reverse course can actually leaves pockets of erosive destruction in its wake. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/erosive+esophagitis" rel="tag">Erosive esophagitis</a> is a result of the destruction of the lining of the esophagus. <br /><br /> At least three months of painful, persistent and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/frequent+heartburn" rel="tag">frequent heartburn</a>, can earn you a diagnosis of acid reflux disease. <br /><br /> Heartburn is the quiet gentle cousin of its more aggressive and destructive family member acid reflux disease. Bubbling stomach acid regurgitates from the stomach sending the gastric juices back into the throat via the esophagus. It is the bubbling stomach acid that backs up into the esophagus that causes the characteristic burn of acid reflux disease. <br /><br /> The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lower+esophageal+sphincter" rel="tag">lower esophageal sphincter</a>, LES, is the valve separating the esophagus and the stomach, is designed to be the gatekeeper of the stomach and is meant to keep the stomach acids in the stomach where they belong. <br /><br /> However, when the LES fails at its ever so well designed job, the stomach acids back flow. <br /><br /> The LES can fail through a couple of different ways, such as through relaxation of the sphincter, often associated with a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hiatal+hernia" rel="tag">hiatal hernia</a>, and through incomplete closing of the sphincter. <br /><br /> The body is so perfectly designed that the LES is a working valve that opens to let food into the stomach and is meant to close to keep the acids out of the esophagus. <br /><br /> It just happens that when it fails, acid reflux disease or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/gastroesophageal+reflux+disease" rel="tag">gastroesophageal reflux disease</a>, GERD, can be the result. So basically if the LES would do its job and keep the valve open when it's supposed to be open and closed when it's supposed to be closed then acid reflux disease would really be a thing of the past! <br /><br /> The good news is that you don't have to put up with heartburn on overdrive. There are many treatment options available for the relief of this pestering and chronic disease. <br /><br /> Acid reflux disease doesn't have to control your life! Talk with your healthcare provider today and get started on the road to better health. <br /><br /> Show that heartburn just who's the boss! <bio>For more important information on <a href="http://www.a-stomach-pain.com" >http://www.a-stomach-pain.com</a> visit a-stomach-pain.com where you will find advice and tips on common stomach pain causes such as <a href="http://www.a-stomach-pain.com/flx/acid-reflux.html" >http://www.a-stomach-pain.com/flx/acid-reflux.html</a>, ulcers, and other articles. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Seems like the public has been brainwashed in the last several decades to think that digestive acids produced by the stomach are the root of digestive problems. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/antacid+tablets" rel="tag">Antacid tablets</a> and liquids have been around for years. Now the latest supposed remedy for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+problems" rel="tag">stomach problems</a> is the "<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/acid+blockers" rel="tag">acid blockers</a>" that have been advertised so heavily on television and in magazines. They have become one of the best-selling over-the-counter drug categories in history. Some of the advertisements even claim they can stop the production of stomach acid for up to 12 hours.<br><br>The question is, how will food get digested without stomach acid. The answer is, it won't, which leads to three problems for people who use acid blockers. The problems get worse the longer ou use one of these drugs.<br><br>Firstly, proteins won't be broken down properly and certain minerals won't be absorbed, because they require stomach acid for this process. When these improperly digested substances reach the intestines, gas-forming bacteria multiply quicker than election-year promises, leading to a serious gas problem.<br><br>Secondly, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/low+stomach+acid" rel="tag">low stomach acid</a> eventually causes a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/protein+deficiency" rel="tag">protein deficiency</a>. Your body then robs protein from joint surfaces and transports it to areas where it's needed, leading to possible arthritis.<br><br>Thirdly, a lack of stomach acid also impairs the digestion and assimilation of calcium, which can result in many problems, including <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/muscle+cramps" rel="tag">muscle cramps</a> and osteoporosis.<br><br>There is a simple way to stop this problem and that is to eat the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/protein+food" rel="tag">protein food</a>s at the beginning of the meal. Most of us in this U.S. eat a salad as the first part of a meal. The carbohydrates that make up the salad require no hydrochloric acid for digestion. Nevertheless, the stomach dumps all the hydrochloric acid in to begin with. Then when the protein food (meat, fish, beans, cheese, etc.) needs the acid, there's none left. So always eat the vegetable salad either with the protein food (with meal) or after, but not before.<br><br>If this is still not enough to stop the problem, you may need to help your stomach out by taking some hydrochloric acid in the form of betaine hydrochloride tablets. One really important point to remember here is to take one or two tablets after you eat. Whatever you do, don't take them before or during the meal, which will shut off your natural acid production. Instead, you want your stomach to produce and secrete as much acid as it can first, then you can add the additional acid needed.<br><br>Once your digestive tract is re-acidified, the next step in improving your digestion is to provide a proper digestive enzyme. Many supplements are available so you should not have any trouble finding one but remember a good product will include acids and enzymes very similar to the ones produced by the stomach. You want to look for pepsin and betaine hydrochloride on the label. It should also include enzymes commonly produced by the pancreas, as well as the enzymes present in bile from the gallbladder.<br><br>An all-purpose digestive enzyme is bromelain. It's a combination of protein-digesting enzymes that come from the and stems of the pineapple. When taken shortly after a meal, bromelain can relieve an upset stomach or heartburn. In addition, brmelain is an effective anti-inflammatory.The German Commission E (Germany's equivalent to the U.S. FDA) has approved it for healing after surgery or injury. It can reduce swelling, bruising, pain and improve healing time.<bio>Jonathan Bell wants you to be healthy and is a proponent of natural supplements and good nutrition is what our bodies need today more than ever. <a href="http://www.bigcure4cancer.com">Health is Wealth</a></bio>]]></content:encoded>

However, when stomach and back pain are combined, never ignore the symptoms. When stomach and back pain occur together, it could mean a number of things. It may be due to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/digestion+problems" rel="tag">digestion problems</a>, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/acid+reflux" rel="tag">acid reflux</a>, or nerve damage. If you do encounter both together, don't <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hesitate" rel="tag">hesitate</a> to see a doctor immediately. <br /><br /> When you see your doctor, he or she will want to know about the pain you're experiencing. Explain the pain exactly as you feel it. Is it a sharp pain, as if someone were jabbing you with a sharp stick, or is it a dull, recurring pain? Does the pain get worse when you sneeze or cough, does it keep you from sleeping, or does your stomach and back pain go away and come back with any kind of regularity? These are just a few of the questions your doctor will ask before examining you. The doctor will determine if the problem is minor, such as digestion problems or more serious, such as nerve damage, which could require surgery. <br /><br /> Stomach and back pain, especially when they occur together, should not be ignored. When you feel pain such as this, it usually means there's something going on inside and the pain is the only way to alert you about the problem. Your doctor is the one who should make the diagnosis, however, so it's important not to try any alternate treatment.Let your doctor examine your stomach and back pain as soon as it occurs, for you don't want to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/exacerbate" rel="tag">exacerbate</a> it by waiting too long. <br /><br /> For more Information check <a href="http://www.arthritisreliefhelp.info" >http://www.arthritisreliefhelp.info</a> <bio>Roger Thompson writes articles on arthritis and pain relief for <a href="http://arthritisrelief.info" >http://arthritisrelief.info</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Affecting millions of Americans each year, a stomach ulcer is a raw, open area in the normal lining of the stomach. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+ulcers" rel="tag">Stomach ulcers</a> get their particular name depending on the exact location of the ulcer. For example, a duodenal or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/peptic+ulcer" rel="tag">peptic ulcer</a> is a stomach ulcer found in the first foot of small intestines past the stomach. A <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/gastric+ulcer" rel="tag">gastric ulcer</a> in located inside the stomach itself. Although duodenal or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/peptic+ulcers" rel="tag">peptic ulcers</a> are almost always benign, it is important to remember that gastric or stomach ulcers can be malignant. Close medical management is critical. <br /><br /> A protective layer of mucus producing cells prevent the stomach from being destroyed by normal digestive juices and stomach acids. However, when there is a break in that protective layer trouble can occur. A stomach ulcer occurs when the gastric or intestinal mucosal lining of the stomach is destroyed by hydrochloric acid, an acid which is normally present in the digestive juices of the stomach. <br /><br /> Another cause of ulcers, particularly gastric and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/duodenal+ulcers" rel="tag">duodenal ulcers</a>, can be a bacterial infection known as Helicobacter pylori or H. pylori. The helicobacter pylori bacterium may be transmitted from person to person through contaminated food and water and is treated with antibiotics. <br /><br /> One of the major <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/symptoms+of+a+stomach+ulcer" rel="tag">symptoms of a stomach ulcer</a> is pain, more specifically pain that feels much like a gnawing or burning pain in the middle upper abdomen often occurring some two to three hours after a meal. Often this pain is mistaken for heartburn or even hunger. Pain from a stomach ulcer may awaken you at night and may be relieved with food or milk. <br /><br /> Stomach ulcers are treated with prescription strength medications designed to reduce stomach acid, to protect the stomach lining and to treat the H. pylori bacteria, if it is present. <br /><br /> There are several medications that are commonly used to treat stomach ulcers. If the intent is to reduce stomach acid, then your physician may prescribe medications such as H2-Receptor antagonists like Nizatidine (Axid®), Cimetidine (Tagamet®), Ranitidine (Zantac®), or Famotidine (Pepcid®). Also used to reduce stomach acids are medications called Proton pump inhibitors. These types of medications include Omeprazole (Prilosec®), Esomeprazole (Nexium®), Lansoprazole (Prevacid®), or Pantoprazole (Pantoloc®). Medications used to protect the lining of the stomach include over-the-counter medications such as Rolaids or Tums or medications such as sucralfate, which forms a protective barrier over the site of the ulcer to help it to heal. <br /><br /> Stomach ulcers are certainly painful and can lead to additional complications such as bleeding. They require aggressive treatment directed by your healthcare provider in order to resolve the current ulcer and attempt to prevent future recurrences. <bio>For more important information on stomach pain be sure to visit <a href="http://a-stomach-pain.com" >http://a-stomach-pain.com</a> where you will find advice and tips on common stomach pain causes such as acid stomach ulcer, Crohn's disease, and other articles that you can view at <a href="http://www.a-stomach-pain.com" >http://www.a-stomach-pain.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ If you take <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/medications" rel="tag">medications</a> for blood pressure, heart conditions, depression, anxiety or other disorders than you know that there are side effects that we have to contend with every time we take our meds. Some will cause <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+upset" rel="tag">stomach upset</a>, cramping and/or other discomforts and in order for us to live longer lives we must take these medications. As with most other medications, Zoloft <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/headache+medication" rel="tag">headache medication</a> is no different and had its side effects and this includes headaches. <br /><br /> Any time your body takes in a new chemical or ingredient it is not used to it will react in different ways. Some people will have a reaction to some vitamins and some of the minerals and may get a headache. The most common drug reactions are: <br /><br /> =95 Stomach upset =95 Cramping =95 Tenderness in muscles or joints =95 Headache =95 Sleeplessness =95 Grogginess =95 Blurred vision =95 Nervousness =95 Diarrhea <br /><br /> Most side effects will <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/subside" rel="tag">subside</a> after your body gets used to your new medication. Sometimes you could have allergic reactions or the medication might be too strong. Either way you will want to be closely monitored while starting any new medication. Every one reacts differently to medication and depending on the person and other medications that person may be will also be different. <br /><br /> Make sure your doctor knows of all the medication you are taking even if you take vitamins or over-the-counter medications of any kind. Make sure your doctor knows of any <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/herbal+products" rel="tag">herbal products</a> you are using also. Some Herbal products will react with other medications and you should always use caution with herbal products also. Your doctor may recommend something you can do to help you with the Zoloft headache medication as well. <br /><br /> Most people's reactions will ease up after getting used to the new meds. If your condition worsens or changes you must make sure you notify your doctor immediately of these changes. If you have thoughts of suicide go to the hospital or call 911. If your reaction is severe get to the hospital and they will <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/contact" rel="tag">contact</a> your doctor from there. <br /><br /> Most of the time when starting a new treatment regimen, the good will out weight the bad and the side effects will ease up after a time of adjustment. Sometimes your dose may need to be changed or the medication may need to be changed. Keep close contact with your doctor when starting a new treatment. Anytime you take a prescription drug, you need to pay close attention to the directions and the possible side effects to prevent further health concerns. <bio>You can also find more info on <a href="http://www.i-headache.com/Migraine_Headache_Remedies" >http://www.i-headache.com/Migraine_Headache_Remedies</a> on Migraine Headache Remedies and <a href="http://www.i-headache.com/Quick_Headache_Relief_Remedies" >http://www.i-headache.com/Quick_Headache_Relief_Remedies</a> on Quick Headache Relief Remedies. <a href="http://i-headache.com" >http://i-headache.com</a> is a comprehensive resource to know about <a href="http://i-headache.com" >http://i-headache.com</a>. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ While there are a variety of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+ulcer+symptoms" rel="tag">stomach ulcer symptoms</a> experienced by many, this common disease attacks millions of Americans each and every year. <br /><br /> The stomach ulcer often presents itself in folks that take anti-inflammatory medications, smoke or drink alcohol. There is still some controversy as to whether stress causes <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+ulcers" rel="tag">stomach ulcers</a> or not. <br /><br /> The wicked stomach ulcer often presents as a burning, gnawing sensation in the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pit+of+the+stomach" rel="tag">pit of the stomach</a> that can last for up to three hours. <br /><br /> Many of those who experience this phenomenon mistakenly think it is nothing more than hunger pains, heartburn or even basic indigestion. Unfortunately this can often cause patients to delay seeking treatment since they brush it off as basic health issues and nothing more. <br /><br /> Stomach <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ulcer+pain" rel="tag">ulcer pain</a> often occurs after a meal, is located in the upper abdomen and is often relieved by resting, taking antacids or having a small drink of milk. Weight loss may even be seen in those suffering extensively from a stomach ulcer since they actually avoid eating in hopes of avoiding pain. <br /><br /> Nausea and vomiting may also be seen for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/those+suffering+from" rel="tag">those suffering from</a> stomach ulcers. You might also see black, tarry stools or stools containing dark red blood. This is an indication that your stomach ulcer is bleeding and this is a serious health complication and may require abdominal surgery. <br /><br /> Stomach ulcer symptoms may be treated with basic antacids or an even stronger medication, which requires a prescription. Stomach ulcer medications such as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/protonix" rel="tag">Protonix</a> can actually help to reduce the acid production in your stomach and many find it useful in the treatment of stomach ulcers. <br /><br /> This is not a health issue which you can ignore since the stomach ulcer can literally erode the protective lining of the stomach. Some times your physician may prescribe a medication which forms a protective barrier over the lining of your stomach and gives your stomach ulcer a chance to heal. <br /><br /> When trying to recover your health, it is important that you take the time to eat balanced nutritious meals, limit your alcohol, tobacco usage and caffeine intake, as well as anti-inflammatory medications if at all possible. <br /><br /> There are several medical tests that your physician may utilize in order to definitively diagnose your stomach ulcer. It is important to have a diagnosis that is based on solid evidence so that you can get the treatment you need. <br /><br /> Your health depends on it and it is ridiculous to ignore the stomach ulcer symptoms you are enduring. Talk with your physician to see what help is available to you. Here's to better healthy days and stomach ulcers that heal. <bio>For more important information on health topics sure to visit <a href="http://www.the-health-hub.com" >http://www.the-health-hub.com</a> where you will find information and resources on personal health such as aches and pains, conditions and diseases, diet and nutrition, fitness and many other articles that you can view at <a href="http://the-health-hub.com" >http://the-health-hub.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Signs of a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+ulcer" rel="tag">stomach ulcer</a> can include nausea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain just beneath the ribcage, indigestion, vomiting, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/symptoms+of+anemia" rel="tag">symptoms of anemia</a>, weight loss, and blood present in vomit or bowel movements. <br /><br /> If you experience these symptoms for any length of time, it is important to seek medical attention. These are not symptoms to be ignored. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+ulcers" rel="tag">Stomach ulcers</a> occur when there is a break in the tissue lining of the stomach. These ulcers normally occur in the stomach or the first part of the small intestine that leads out of the stomach, called the duodenum. <br /><br /> Commonly stomach ulcers are related to extreme stress, smoking and diet. Any of which are factors over which we have control, making it possible to heal a ulcer; if you work to eliminate some of the contributing factors that can lead to the development. <br /><br /> If you begin noticing the signs of a stomach ulcer, these signs should not be ignored. In fact, an appointment with your doctor should be your course of action if these symptoms persist. <br /><br /> In order for your doctor to make a specific diagnosis, several tests may be ordered to help determine the exact cause of your stomach pain. <br /><br /> One of the first tests your physician may order is the barium swallow or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/upper+gi+series" rel="tag">upper GI series</a> of X-rays. This test allows your doctor to identify and locate any ulcers and determine its type and severity. <br /><br /> The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/barium+swallow+test" rel="tag">barium swallow test</a> requires you to drink a "<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/barium+milkshake" rel="tag">barium milkshake</a>." This thick "shake" contains a liquid that will light up on an x-ray. The barium will light up on the x-ray making it easier for your physician to see exactly what is going on and causing your pain. <br /><br /> You are normally asked to eat only bland, easily digestible foods for two or three days before the test. After drinking the chalky liquid, you will be asked to lie down on a tilting examining table, which as it tilts, evenly distributes the barium around your upper digestive tract and allows the x-ray to capture images at different angles. <br /><br /> Treatment options for stomach ulcers can consist of over the counter medications, prescription medications, modifying your diet, perhaps a lifestyle change that includes the addition of exercise and reduction of stress, and as a last result, surgery. <br /><br /> In summary, any signs of stomach ulcers should not be ignored as the delay in diagnosis and treatment could lead to further complications. It is important to understand, however, that in many cases you have control over the factors that contribute to stomach ulcers. <bio>For more important information on <a href="http://www.a-stomach-pain.com" >http://www.a-stomach-pain.com</a>. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Many people that suffer from acid reflux are looking to find a more natural way of getting relief, one option you may want to consider is to eat raisins for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/acid+reflux+relief" rel="tag">acid reflux relief</a>. What happens when you digest raisins is they naturally help bring up your acid level which in turn gets the stomach balance back to where it should be. It is <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/beneficial" rel="tag">beneficial</a> to eat raisins for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/acid+reflux+symptoms" rel="tag">acid reflux symptoms</a> but you should also consider them for other <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+ailments" rel="tag">stomach ailments</a> like an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/upset+stomach" rel="tag">upset stomach</a> or heart burn. Eating raisins will settle your stomach and help eliminate acid reflux symptoms. <br /><br /> Mix up Your Raisin Intake <br /><br /> One way to mix up your raisin intake is by using toasted raisin bread with a touch of cinnamon. This provides acid reflux relief because as you slowly chew it up your digestive juices from the mouth begin to help dislove the food and help the digestive process so the likelihood of acid reflux occurring are diminished. <br /><br /> When you add raisins to your diet this not only saves you money, it is also a natural remedy so it does not add further stress to your body like a prescription drug may do. You can very easily whip this up in your kitchen. The fact is that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cinnamon+raisin+bread" rel="tag">cinnamon raisin bread</a> is one of the best known treatments for acid reflux. Having toasted raisin bread not only acts as a potent antacid that will relieve your symptoms of acid reflux, it also contains antiseptic properties that can help with a cold or the flu. Another spice that you can add along with the cinnamon is <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cardamom" rel="tag">cardamom</a>. <br /><br /> One of the keys when you eat raisins for acid reflux is to take your time chewing before you swallow. Once you have added raisins into your regular diet you will see the decrease in the need to purchase over-the-counter relief agents like antacids. In fact, you will begin to enjoy the benefits of a restored digestive system. <br /><br /> There are several different foods to help relieve acid reflux symptoms, eating raisins for acid reflux is a proven method for getting relief, and eating them through a slice of toasted raisin bread can make all the difference in your digestive system. When you eat raisins for acid reflux it allows the digestive juices to start churning properly and therefore provides you with relief. Many people are surprised at how effective this simple remedy works to relieve acid reflux. <br /><br /> Sometimes you may not be able to find some foods, grapes for example, as they are out of season, but raisins are always readily available and will definitely be a remedy that along with some yogurt can cause your acid reflux to take a hike and give you the relief you have been looking for. <bio>Christopher Jay has much more information available at <a href="http://www.signsofacidreflux.com" >http://www.signsofacidreflux.com</a> . <content:encoded><![CDATA[You can't get great abs just by exercising your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+muscles" rel="tag">stomach muscles</a>. There is a lot of misinformation about what you need to do to get that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/flat+stomach" rel="tag">flat stomach</a> that you want. First, you have to know what it takes to get the results you want. You also need to know why you might be more likely to collect those rolls of flab around your belly than your friends are. Once you understand these things, you can choose and use a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+exercise" rel="tag">stomach exercise</a> that will really work for you. <br /><br /> There are several benefits associated with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach+exercises" rel="tag">stomach exercises</a> beyond getting a flat belly or a six-pack of abs. For example, doing <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/regular+stomach" rel="tag">regular stomach</a> exercises helps your body to attain a better posture because your muscles will be stronger. Also, you'll probably notice that your lower back will be more flexible, and your digestion will improve through regular stomach exercise as well. <br /><br /> By performing a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/regular+exercise+routine" rel="tag">regular exercise routine</a>, you'll enjoy life more because you'll be more active and able to participate. Your body will feel better, and your mental abilities will also be stimulated, and your thinking abilities will improve. You need to be dedicated to a regular exercise routine to get these benefits, however. If you're trying to lose weight, for example, you won't see any improvement if you don't take the time to tone up your stomach muscles. <br /><br /> It's important to stay motivated. Don't get discouraged. It takes time and patience to firm up a flabby belly. And consider that there might be other factors that impact your efforts. If you're a woman in menopause, your body will collect fat along your waistline due to the lack of estrogen. Even with regular stomach exercise, it will be a struggle to rid yourself of this fat. Your specific genetic makeup also has an influence on your ability to have a flat stomach. If you are under a lot of stress, the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hormone+cortisol" rel="tag">hormone cortisol</a> makes your body produce more sugar, and it makes you eat more too. Additionally, diseases such as diabetes can cause weight gain, and doing stomach exercises alone won't get rid of the fat around your mid-section. <br /><br /> If you're starting an exercise routine to decrease your excess fat, it's important to focus on the lower abs first because this area is the most difficult to strengthen and tone. The upper abs will tone and tighten naturally as the lower abs become stronger. You should also recognize that your weight didn't increase overnight. You can lose excess weight and fat, but only if you perform stomach exercises as part of a total lifestyle change. <br /><br /> Go ahead and take the challenge! Try for the body you've always wanted. You'll feel good about yourself for making the effort. <bio>Discover more articles about fitness and exercise by visiting <a href="http://www.speediefitness.com" >http://www.speediefitness.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ You've had your baby and now you have to deal with your post <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pregnancy" rel="tag">pregnancy</a> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stomach" rel="tag">stomach</a>. If you feel like running from the sight of it in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/despair" rel="tag">despair</a>, not to worry, you are not the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/first+woman" rel="tag">first woman</a> to feel so, nor will you be the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/last+woman" rel="tag">last woman</a> to feel like this. <br /><br /> Many of us find it extremely hard to come to terms with the fact that we will never again look the way we did when we were sixteen, with a flat, if not firm stomach. <br /><br /> Unless we begin to do something now, we will more than likely go around with the slightly sagging pouch that is our post pregnancy stomach. This can be a truly terrifying thought. What about our jeans and our lovely skirts and things that used to fit us? <br /><br /> What about all those <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/midriff" rel="tag">midriff</a> baring, hip hugging clothes that filled our closets before pregnancy? What happens to all of these? Well, for one thing, you can probably throw those out the window as they will all more or less be out of fashion by the time that you regain your figure back, including your soft post pregnancy stomach. <br /><br /> You can get your figure back, there's no two words about that, you just need the time, and the right weight loss plan to do this. <br /><br /> If all of this seems shallow to some people, it really isn't. There is simply nothing more <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/disheartening" rel="tag">disheartening</a> to a woman's self esteem than not looking her healthy best. This doesn't mean that you need to lose enormous amounts of weight, only that you need to get yourself to a level where you are comfortable with your body. <br /><br /> If you are comfortable with the womanly swell that is your post pregnancy stomach, then think no more about it. Be proud of yourself and don't be afraid to let people know that you are proud of yourself. All that really matters is not what your post pregnancy stomach looks like, or what other people think you like, but what you think of yourself, and whether you are comfortable with it. <br /><br /> Most of us today though, would probably prefer to be somewhere in the weight range that we were before we became pregnant, and this is also fine, as long as this is what you truly want, and not what you perceive other people to expect from you. <br /><br /> You need to decide whether you want to keep your post pregnancy stomach, or whether you want washboard abs to go with those hip hugging jeans you love so much. It's really as simple as that. <bio>Author's Sites: <a href="http://www.easyhomeremedy.com/pregnancy_weight_loss/index.html" >http://www.easyhomeremedy.com/pregnancy_weight_loss/index.html</a> , <a href="http://www.easyhomeremedy.com/home_remedy_for_vaginal_infections.html" >http://www.easyhomeremedy.com/home_remedy_for_vaginal_infections.html</a><br /><br /> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ There are many ways to treat <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/acid+reflux" rel="tag">acid reflux</a> syndrome, and one of the things you might hear about the most are <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/proton+pump+inhibitors" rel="tag"><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/proton+pump+inhibitor" rel="tag">proton pump inhibitor</a>s</a> (<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ppi" rel="tag">PPI</a>'s). These are the most commonly advertised types of medications, and they come in both OTC (over-the-counter) and prescription strength. These are really great for those who have a lot of problems with their reflux recurring day in and day out. However, they might not be needed for everyone all of the time. You should talk to your doctor about how often you have pain, and what they think would be the best for you. <br /><br /> Proton pump inhibitors do more than just help soothe pain. They do something to reduce the pain and keep the levels of acid down in the stomach. These medications will actually stop many of the acid pumps in the stomach from producing acid. <br /><br /> The idea is if you have less acid production in your stomach, you won't have the problem of the acid backing up into the esophagus. When this happens, the damage from acid reflux has time to heal. PPI's can also be used for people who have ulcers in their stomachs. <br /><br /> Those who have had damage to the esophagus might have to take a prescription proton pump inhibitor to give the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tissues" rel="tag">tissues</a> time to heal. These are prescribed by a doctor, and they will need to be taken anywhere from two weeks to two months. <br /><br /> Because the amounts of acid are reduced, you will feel relief from your bouts of heartburn, and all tissues have breathing room to heal as they should. After the prescription has run out, you can probably take the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/otc+version" rel="tag">OTC version</a> of proton pump inhibitor. They aren't as strong, but if the tissues have healed, you don't need the prescription strength any longer. <br /><br /> There are some side effects with proton pump inhibitors that you do have to watch out for. If something is giving you problems, you may have to try a different medication. The goods news about this is that there are many different PPI type medications that you can try until you find something that does not bother you. <br /><br /> Some of the most common side effects are diarrhea, gas, and upset stomach. Occassionally people report experiencing dry mouth and headache. These are pretty rare though, and most won't have problems with them. <br /><br /> Make sure you talk about all of your symptoms with your doctor so they can recommend the best medication for your acid reflux syndrome. If you are taking any other type of medication, either OTC or prescriptions, ask about drug interactions to be sure you will be safe. <br /><br /> You should be sure to let them know if you are pregnant, nursing, or have kidney problems. They may want to give you something else any of those are true for you. Also ask if there is anything else you can do to help your acid reflux syndrome. They might give you a food list, or recommend stress reduction to help with healing and to offer more relief. <bio>Grab your free copy of Kathryn Whittaker's brand new Acid Reflux and GERD Newsletter here <a href="http://www.naturally-stop-acid-reflux.com/?source=is" >http://www.naturally-stop-acid-reflux.com/?source=is</a> which is overflowing with easy to implement methods to help you combat Acid Reflux and GERD. </bio>]]></content:encoded>
