You have seen them in places like banks. They are there, holding pens so that you can use the pen and it doesn't get lost or misplaced. But why are promotional pen stands such a popular promotional item? Why do so many companies use them? There are a few reasons why companies turn to them to promote their businesses.

Convenience

One of the first reasons that companies turn to promotional pen stands when they are looking for promotional items for their company is that they are convenient. They are something that they can put right out there on the counter for the customers to use when they are looking for a pen to fill out a form.

They are convenient for the employees as well. If the person keeps their pen in a pen stand at their desk, their pen is always right there when they need it and they don't have to go searching for it.

Professionalism

Another reason that companies are turning to promotional pen stands is that they make the company look more professional than if they simply have pens laying on the counter. Putting the pens in pen stands makes the company look more professional and that is something that customers notice.

Organization

A third reason that using promotional pen stands is a good idea for business is that they help the company to stay better organized. When employees keep their pens in stands on their desks, they are able to keep them in easy reach and they don't have to hold up someone on the phone while they look for the pen.

Safety

Something that the pen stands that have the pens attached to them with a cord offer companies is safety. They don't have to worry about the pen falling to the floor and someone stepping on it and falling.

When your company is choosing their pen stands, there are a few things that you can think about to help you make the right decision about what type of pen stands you will be using.

Who are they for?

The first thing that you want to think about is who the pen stands are going to be for? Are customers going to be using them, or are they going to be for your employees? If you work in someplace like a bank, you might want to use the corded pen stands for the customers, but if they are just for employees, a simple pen stand will work well.

What is your budget?

The other consideration is your budget. How much do you have to spend on the promotional pen stands? Some of them are more expensive than others.

Promotional pen stands are something that a lot of companies are turning to. They are something that helps both the customers and the employees, and they keep the pens that people need to use in easy reach. They offer convenience, professionalism, organization, and safety, and are something that every company can use and afford.<bio>Miles Lovegrove is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of promotional Pen Stands and other Promotional Products at www.fluidbranding.com.
When you've been to a trade show, have you seen booths that had no type of display available? These types of booths sometimes consist of tables underneath some kind of shelter, but they don't have anything pointing out who they are. Have you stopped at these booths? Maybe you passed that booth up for the one that had actual displays such as banners. Those tend to be the trade show booths that are taken more seriously because it is obvious that they have put in some serious effort to make sure they draw in customers.

With that said, let's take a look at the different types of banner stands that you may find being used at a trade show booth. You may wonder how many types could there be. A banner is just a banner, right? Actually, banners are so much more. They can do so much more for your business.

The different types of trade show banner stands you will find are:

•	Roll up banner stands: These are banner stands that have everything you need. Of course, you have the stand and the banner simply rolls up or down. When you roll it down, you attach it at the bottom and your banner display is finished. They are all different heights and different widths. They can sit on the ground or they can be so short they sit on a tabletop.

There are also banners stands called cassette banner stands. You can change your banner graphics quickly by having them inside of "cassettes" that can be easily interchanged when you need to. This allows you to do things such as change your banner graphic every hour to highlight a different item. They are a bit heavier than most banner stands, but they can expand your marketing opportunity.

•	L banner stand: This is a banner stand that is lightweight and easy to transport. They usually come with a carrying bag. It clips the banner at the top and at the bottom in order to keep it completely flat. These are also available in a number of sizes so that you can have the right size banner to compliment your trade show booth.

•	X banner stand: This type of banner stand has three legs and a backing and allows for the banner to be attached at all four corners. The stand is lightweight and sets up rather quickly. They do come with carrying bags most of the time for easy transport. There is a bit more involved with it than the L banner stand, but it definitely takes care of your banner.

•	Table stands: These are the stands that you're going to place upon your table tops to display your small tabletop banners. You can get these tabletop banner stands as roll up banner stands, L banner stands, and X banner stands. It is up to you which one you feel is going to benefit your trade show booth the most.

•	Pole up tension banner stands: This is a collapsible pole that does not take long to put up and is quite lightweight. You have the option of using extra tall pole up tension banner stands in order to get attention from long distances.

These are some of the common banner stands you may see. You may also see banner stands such as motorized banner stands and banner stands that are especially made for the outdoors. What is great about the different types of banner stands is that there is always one that fits within your budget or one that is going to help you achieve your goals with your trade show booth.<bio>Create-it Displays is a manufacturer and provider of customized trade show exhibits and booths.
Whether you exhibit once a year or every week, you may be using display stands. You may also find yourself wondering whether it is wiser to rent your display stands or buy them. The answer may be simple for you, but before you come to your conclusion, read about some of the factors to consider in each scenario so that you can make an informed decsision.

Rent

There are several different situations in which renting display stands just makes more sense than purchasing them. Below are some scenarios where renting display stands may be the right option.

- For example, if you are attending an exhibition internationally, it may be more cost-effective to rent display stands locally than it would be to ship them overseas. In this situation, care must be taken to rent from a reputable source.

- Another situation in which renting display stands is the better choice is when you're trying exhibition as a new marketing technique or are just getting started. In this case, you may not be ready to invest in your own display stands. If this is the situation you find yourself in, you may decide to rent display stands until you're sure the commitment will be worth it.

- You may already own a display stand or even multiple stands. However, a particular event may come up where you have the opportunity to exhibit in two places at once and you may not have enough display stands. In this case, renting one or more display stands can allow you to maximize your exhibitions in a cost-effective manner.

Buy

Other circumstances definitely warrant investing in your own display stands. Even if you begin by renting display stands, you may soon realize that the frequency with which you find yourself renting them makes purchasing your own permanent ones the wiser choice.

- If your business model includes selling mostly at trade-show or exhibition style outlets such as flea markets, swap meets or other such venues, you are probably using display stands very often. In this scenario, it is wise to invest in your own display stands, as the cost will be made up in what you would have otherwise spent in rentals.

- If most of the exhibitions you participate are local and you are able to transport them, or if the cost of shipping them to the exhibitions you exhibit at is reasonable, then buying may be a good option for you.

- If trade show marketing is a large part of your overall marketing plan, then hopefully you will find yourself participating in several trade shows over the course of a year. If trade show marketing is integral to your business, then chances are that you will be participating in trade shows for several years and can definitely benefit from investing in display stands.

The Verdict

Basically, to rent or buy display stands is a matter of circumstance. It all depends on circumstances such as how often you would be using them, how near or far they would be transported, etc. These circumstances would determine whether the investment and commitment of purchasing your own display stands is warranted, or whether renting the display stands is smarter for your purposes. No matter which route you end up deciding is right for you and your business, make sure you do your research. Whether you rent or buy display stands you will want to be sure to deal with a reputable dealer. You should also be a smart consumer and shop around to ensure you get the best value and most reasonable pricing available.<bio>Ballance display offers display stands as well as trade show display rentals for all of your trade show needs.</bio>

Stands for Artificial Trees:

After spending hundreds of dollars on your Artificial Prelit Christmas Tree or Artificial non-lit Christmas Tree, you want to have a stand that will display your new tree well. Of course there are several different types of stands to choose from. There are stands that hold a two foot tree and on up to those that hold a nine foot tree. From simple stands to heavy duty stands to even revolving tree stands. Most stands for artificial trees have a one and a quarter inch diameter slot, as this is the standard size of the main tree pole or trunk. One of the basic Tree Stands for Artificial Christmas Trees is simple to use and to store, but these types should be setup on a cloth or carpet as they can scratch your floors. These type of stands usually are very simple, when folded they resemble a triangle and when unfolded they make a nice X, which sort of marks the spot for your Christmas tree.

Tree Stands with Rollers:

Of course there are also stands with rollers on them such as the Artificial Christmas Tree Stand which have wheel locks so the stand stays where you want it to stay. These types of stands usually require no assembly as they are shipped completely intact. The wheels are nice as they allow you to place the tree in the stand and then easily rolling it to the place where you want the tree to stand. These stands also are of a heavier construction than the folding stands, so they usually last even longer. But they also hide well under a tree skirt and still give plenty of room to place the presents under the tree.

Rotating Tree Stands:

The Rotating Christmas Tree Stands are a wonderful edition to artificial tree stands as they allow you to plug your tree lights into the stand and then let it slowly turn all the way around to show off your whole Christmas tree. Some assembly is required for this stand but it mainly consists of putting the legs or feet on the base. Small rotating stands can usually only hold about a 75 pound tree or less, anything more would burn the motor out very fast and they handle about 900 lights. For heavier trees there is the EZ Revolving Christmas Tree Stand which can handle up to 2000 tree lights and up to 150 pound artificial tree. The EZ stand is shipped intact and ready to use, it has a smooth durable mound type construction which also makes it easy to cover with a Christmas Tree Skirt. With your artificial tree and this stand you are sure to delight your children for many years to come, as well as impress the neighbors. Just remember, with this stand its E Z.

Stands for Live Trees:

Now we come to live trees, these most often require a Heavy Duty Live Tree Stand. This stand can handle a tree with a trunk up to 6 inches in diameter and up to a 10 foot tall tree. Because of its semi mound shape it can easily be hidden under a Christmas Tree Skirt. It has a good size reservoir for water to help keep your tree fresh, but rather than crawling under your tree to check or add water just use the Live Christmas Tree Watering System to save your back.<bio>Mitch Jelly has been a writer for Christmas Decorations and Gifts for several years.
When you attend a trade show, you may notice that your eye is drawn to the booths that have banner stands. That's because banner stands provide an extremely noticeable visual display that attracts passersby. Banner stands are a great enhancement to any trade show display and provide a high-end, professional impact for a reasonable price.

There are several different types of banner stands on the market today, but there are a few types and sizes that stand out in popularity. What are the most popular banner stand types? Why do certain sizes of banner stands have more of an edge?

Sizes of Table-Top Banner Stands

Considered an entry-level banner stand, table top banner stands provide the impact of a banner at a reasonable price. They come in a variety of formats, and they offer a great way to add visual appeal to your table-top display.

Popular sizes of table-top banner stands include 24 inches high, 18 inches high, and 42 inches high. Choosing the right height for a table-top banner stand depends on several factors, such as price and portability.

However, the most important thing to consider when choosing the size of your table-top banner stand is how the size will fit with the rest of your display. You don't want the banner stand overwhelming the rest of your materials.

Sizes of Roll-Up Banner Stands

Roll-Up banner stands provide the ultimate in banner stand portability. The banner rolls up or down on the stand and offers very easy setup. To set up the banner, you simply roll it out and connect it to the other end of the stand.

Some of the most popular sizes of roll-up banner stands include 78 inches high and 84 inches high. These sizes are large enough to get noticed and are easy to read from a distance, both important features for a trade show display.

It's hard to miss life-size banners at a trade show. Even though they cost a bit more than table-top versions, they really draw people in.

Choosing the right size of roll-up banner stand is really a matter of budget. In general, the large the stand, the more you have to pay. However, it's also important to consider the visual impact of these larger stands.

Sizes of Tension Pole Banner Stands

The main advantage of tension pole banner stands is that minimal hardware is seen on the front of the banner, allowing the main focus to be on the graphic. Surprisingly, this option is less expensive than many other banner stands and is a more practical alternative for some companies.

A disadvantage of these type of banner stands is that the banner must be unrolled manually, causing the system to have a shorter life span than some other banner stands.

Popular sizes for tension pole banner stands include 48 inches high, 60 inches high, 72 inches high, and 80 inches high. The height of these banner stands makes them a great and highly affordable option for adding vertical aspects to your trade show display.

Choosing the Right Size of Banner Stand

There are several factors to consider when choosing any type of banner stand. The same is true for choosing size. The following factors are important to consider in your selection:

- How often will you be using the banner stand? Do you need it to be extremely durable?
- How large is your display? Do you want the banner stand to be the main focus?
- What is your budget?

These are just a few questions to keep in mind before you determine what size banner stand will help make your company stand out from the rest.<bio>Design and manufacture custom portable trade show displays and display stands, banner stands, marketing displays and other light weight accessories.
Make sure you buy the right one!

Shopping for a music stand is easy. Deciding which music stand will fit your needs might not be as easy.

To shop for a music stand all you have to do is go to a music store or do an online search. If you walk into a music store you'll see the music stands the prices for each. If you do an online search, you can see pictures of the music stands that are out there and again find out how much each one is. That is the easy part.

The hard part is figuring out which music stand you need. There are several different music stands that are designed very differently.

The opera stand is an illuminated music stand for the opera singer. The stem on it is designed so that it does not interfere with the opera singer's feet if they sit down. The opera stands can be nested together for easy storage.

The wooden stand is made to match a modern or historic concert hall. These stands are made of polished metal stems and natural wood trays. These stands nest together for compact storage also. The jazz stand is a music stand that folds. It will fold down to the size of the tray. It is an adjustable stand for sitting or standing to play or sing. To store them, they will stand right next to each other or you can store them folded. If they are folded, they store one right on top of another.

The school music stand is designed for students. It is unbreakable. It does not have knobs, but rather raises and lowers easily. It has an extra lip on the tray for pencils and erasers. These also nest together for easy storage.

The studio stand is a modern looking stand for all types of musicians. It is like the opera stand, except it does not have the light attached to it. It is designed so that if the musician swings their legs, they will not knock the stand over. Like many of the other music stands, they are designed to be nested together for storage.

The scherzo stand is a foldable stand. It is made of aluminum. The aluminum makes it very lightweight for easy transportation. Now that you know how each music stand is designed, you can decide which music stand will work best for your music needs. <bio>http://www.musicstandworld.com is filled with music stand articles and wooden music stand resources </bio>

You can improve the ambience of your home or office by making a few changes, like by investing in one or two customized page stands and other popular supports. Customized page stands allow you to create an innovative home or office interior that has the appearance of containing just functional or minimal items. Page stands are ideal for anyone that is tidy and efficient, and doesn't want much in the way of clutter hanging around their immediate environment.

Audio And Video Supports

Many people use video supports and audio supports to help minimize the clutter in their home. Page stands often complement these structures in a contemporary home. What are some other ways to improve the appearance of a home to create a more functional appearance? You can easily build shelves into a wall to help give the wall the appearance of greater function. Just be sure you don't overcrowd the walls with architecture or knick knacks and the like.

A few well-selected pieces that accent your furniture should do the trick. Many people try page stands to house their audio and video equipment as well as their book collections, CD collections and DVDs. These stands fit well with other delights including a CD player, recliner and even a flat screen television.

Finding The Right Page Stand

If the term "minimalist" describes you then you will want to look for a retailer that offers customized page stands for the functional person. Most of these are ideal because they are simple and consist of mostly a few metal bars connected by panes of glass or plastic. What do you think about page stands? Could you work with a few bars and a glass base and top?

Many find promotional page stands work just fine for them in their homes. You don't really have to go out and buy the most expensive page stand you see. In fact, we wouldn't advise you do that until you know exactly what you want. Why not try something small on for size, see what you think. Find out how long it works before you start to clutter it up. If it remains uncluttered then the chances are high you will take good care of it; on the other hand if you can't resist throwing your papers on top you may be in a bit of trouble.

How Many Page Stands Do You Need

Many people need just one page stand to organize their electronics and perhaps a small DVD or television. There are some however that think this just simply won't cut it. Do you have to suffer in silence? No, you won't have to.

Fortunately, you can always invest in more than one page stand. Having multiple page stands will allow you to designate one for books, one for electronics and one for memorabilia. This DOES sound expensive at first, but you can actually save money by getting all three pieces at one time. Not only that, when you do buy three new pieces you instantly create a matching set and ambience unique to your own home and lifestyle. There just isn't anything wrong with that.<bio>Miles Lovegrove is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of Promotional Page Stands and other Promotional Products at www.fluidbranding.com.
Plasma TVs have revolutionized television with the wide-screen features and compact size and shape. The plasma TV stands have replaced the conventional entertainment center to create a cinema-like look and feel and to improve your viewing experience. Plasma TV stands are usually quite minimalist, although many provide place at the base to store DVDs or even drinks. Your Plasma TV stands can match the theme of your home theatre, and can be understated and functional. Some plasma TV stands are funky, futuristic, chic or seem "barely there."

Plasma TV stands which "do the job" consist of chrome poles with bases. These plasma tv stands will hold your plasma tv effectively in place and, at the same time, can look quite classy. You can choose a stand which is straight or slightly curved. Dramatic, geometric shapes are also favored by some for a more artistic look. Some plasma tv stands combine minimalism with functionality, and have small areas at the bottom for storing what you need. This can be a simple storage area, or a glass or wood cabinet which can hold books, decorations or other items of interest. Some install plasma tv stands ontop of a simple bar, to combine cocktail hour with a movie or a game.

If you would like to keep your existing home entertainment center, you can install a very simple, short plasma tv stand on top of a home entertainment cabinet. This will eliminate the necessity of purchasing an all-new entertainment center, or throwing out a favorite piece of furniture. The advantage of plasma tvs is that they can fit almost everywhere, and plasma tv stands are every bit as versatile as the product they hold.

Plasma TV stands can be virtually invisible and hold a tv directly onto a wall. Like all plasma tv stands, these must be durable enough to bear the weight of a plasma tv, which can be considerable. You should consult an expert to see what kind of plasma tv stands are durable enough to use, and to install your plasma tv at an angle so it can easily be viewed by those sitting below. When installing your plasma tv, do so with a partner, and make sure that you are both sufficiently strong to bear the weight of the plasma tv, since even a small scratch on a screen will ruin it completely. The first thing to look for in a plasma tv stand is strength, and it is easy to find plasma tv stands that are both durable and attractive.

You can convert a glass table or a counter in to a plasma tv stand by finding a smaller plasma tv stand to put on top of it. Ensure that the glass or the cabinet will bear the weight of the television, and that it is located in a part of the room where it can be easily seen. You can use the cabinet to store tv guides, cable guides, you collection of DVDs and anything else you might need. Many prefer small doors to cover what is in the cabinets, but glass slabs can serve as excellent shelves for DVD players and other audio visual equipment.

You can find plasma tv stands in furniture stores or in places where televisions are sold. It is suggested to find good quality, sturdy plasma tv stands if you don't want your investment of thousands of dollars to come crashing to the floor. If you are installing a plasma tv for the first time, it is a good idea to consult an expert, or to have a professional do the installation. He or she can decide whether your plasma tv stand is durable enough to do the job. <bio>Author: June Mala © 2006 http://www.lktd.com </bio>

When buying a new flat-screen television, finding TV stands are fairly simple. In addition to finding them in almost every store where you buy your television, you can find tons of them online. Compare them closely and pick the one that fits your needs best. These work real well if you are staying somewhere temporarily and don't want to rip up the wall with a bracket-mount. Check out the following hints for choosing TV stands that work for you:

1. Look at price. Something that costs 500 pounds will be more sturdy than something that costs 50 pounds. Think you're getting a good deal? Take a look at the material its made of. Something cheap will usually look that way. A good idea to help you save money is to buy display models or discontinued items. These are not made cheaply, just no longer needed. TV stands bought this way usually last a long time.

2. Decorative elements. What color is it? Will it match your decor? What about material? You wouldn't want a wood TV stand if all your furniture is black leather or metal and glass. These considerations are usually the first things that one looks at, as they are the most apparent to the naked eye.

3. Technical aspects. If you're ordering TV stands online through the mail, how much does it weigh? Sometimes the shipping costs offset the money you would save buying this way. Another disadvantage is that many times assembly is required, costing countless wasted minutes and frustration. When you buy in the store, many times delivery is included and you don't have to worry about the frustration and time wasted putting it together yourself.

4. Size does matter. Before you go out looking for TV stands, don't forget to measure the space you have. Do you have speakers? How will they be mounted and where? Make sure that the stand you choose is deep enough to hold all your components and your DVDs if you are going to keep your media next to your entertainment center.

5. Do your research. When you are at the homes of others, ask where they purchased their TV stands if it is one you really admire. Also research your suppliers. If buying online, find out about their feedback ratings and shipping rates. When going to a store near you, have a thorough understanding of their return policies and satisfaction guarantee.

6. Skip the warranty. Unlike expensive electronics, TV stands are rarely going to stop working for you. Warranties are less important unless you are a sumo wrestler or massive partier concerned about your new stand getting broken.. Warranties on furniture are usually a waste of time. Check for an upgrade program, though, as this might do well if you are starting off small.

These considerations are the most important when looking for TV stands. Of course, these may not be your only concerns. Just be sure to talk to others and find out what works for them. Televisions are so lightweight, that you can get away with a less than sturdy model these days. Happy hunting!<bio>To explore our range of tv stands, please visit our website at http://www.avnow.co.uk</bio>

People on the hunt for unique or quality TV stands may find just what they want with a little effort. The best thing about acquiring an antique is not only the intrinsic value of such a piece, but how it can become a treasured relic among many items that come and go. Customized furniture has the same appeal, as something that is made to your specifications can hold a certain amount of personal value. It is for these very reasons that individuals who truly enjoy filling their homes with special mementos and items that have real significance may opt to purchase a TV stand or entertainment center that mirrors their tastes.

Antique stands

Thrift stores and places that sell refurbished furniture are often the best places to find antique TV stands. Although you may locate a few TV stands circa the 50's, 60's and 70's, not every antique has to be specifically made to for a Television. For instance, you may uncover a gorgeous armoire that could serve as a great entrainment center with a few small modifications. Likewise, a classic table or nightstand could also be used as an item to place your television set. Depending on the age of the vintage stand however, buying aged furniture could be rather pricey. Be sure you can use the item. Also if you plan to modify it, ask if this will decrease the value of the piece and if so by how much.

Customized stands

Another option for people who want TV stands that are as unique as they are is to have one built to spec. There are a number of individuals who create highly distinctive, beautiful pieces that would be a welcome addition to any décor. Look around and seek references from people who have dealt with craftsmen whose work you may be interested in. Also, be sure to take a first hand look at the furniture maker's finished pieces, so you can see their handiwork for yourself. As with antiques, buying customized furniture, even TV stands, can end up being very expensive. This is because people who make such furniture tend to do so by hand. Adding details and special touches can be especially labor intensive. Only approach someone for a custom job if you truly have the ability to pay for it.

Online searches

Makers of custom furniture as well as antique salesmen can easily be located online. If you want you can do a search for local furniture makers and antique stores. In this way, you will be able to go see the merchandise yourself. As we all know, any product can appear okay in a photo. Being able to look at and touch an item is where the true litmus test of its viability will come in. Sure, you can find television stands anywhere and millions are manufactured every year; however a handful of individuals may want something a bit different. Keep in mind during your search, that there are many quality manufactures of TV stands. If you find the ability to buy an antique or customized stand is beyond your grasp, you can seek out a reputable company to get a stand that suits your exceptional and personal tastes.<bio>Providing you with complete peace of mind when buying from us.
A good friend of mine with amazing taste seems to always be in the know when it comes to accessories for the home that make a space more functional and alive.

Take for instance TV stands -- far too many people think of this item as simply something to place a television set on, but my buddy told me of interesting ways to incorporate such stands into you home's décor, making them a part of your home's ambiance.

Let's say you have a living room that isn't very large. A huge entertainment center would swallow the space. However, a small corner armoire would be just the thing to showcase your TV. These things are compact and because they are built to fit into a corner, they don't take up very much space.

This is a very important thing if you want to make your living room cozy. If something like a large overwhelming media center dominates the area, cozy is the last thing you will feel when lounging in the space.

Other TV stands can showcase amazing craftsmanship and detail, especially if they are made of real wood. One can come across exquisite creations with inlays and laminated surfaces that will keep it in great condition for years to come.

Admittedly, these types of TV stands tend to run towards the expensive range.

If you are working with a budget and can't afford to plop down over a grand for an entertainment center but want something more durable than a local wholesale store will provide, it may be a good if idea to check with online services that allow people post classified ads. You are bound to find some real treasures for a bargain if you know where to look.

Admittedly most people won't put a ton of investment in a TV stand, in fact, most will get something that will get the job done, tossing it aside to get a new one when the cheaply made piece of furniture breaks down.

While this can be understandable, there is a certain logic in paying a bit more for this type of furnishing.

1. You can find something that compliments existing furniture in the home easier when you go for a higher quality product.

2. Paying good money for a product means it is apt to be durable and won't have to be replaced.

3. More expensive furniture items tend to have classic designs, meaning they will never go out of style.

4. Costlier entertainment centers and stands are often times aesthetically pleasing, and can bring more joy into the living area.

Indeed, it is the little things that can come together to create a vibrant, relaxing and warm home environment, accents and home furnishings can certainly add to that.

So, I think it would be more than fair to say that one thing I learned from my eagle eyed friend is that TV stands can be more than just utilitarian--they can also be a work of art that adds to the beauty and atmosphere of your home.<bio>To explore our range of TV Stands, please visit our website at http://www.avnow.co.uk</bio>

Many modern television sets come with built-in TV stands, but for those which don't you may have several options available to you. TVs can be mounted on a wall, but if this isn't for you, there are plenty of other options.

The first thing to check is that some televisions are only compatible with particular TV stands, often those produced by the TV manufacturer. You'll still usually have a choice of styles, but be careful to check you get one that fits your particular model. Make a note of the model number (which you can usually find on the instruction manual) before buying.

If your TV doesn't need a specific stand, you'll need to make sure that whatever you choose is suitable for the size of your screen, both in terms of width and depth. You'll also need to check it can cope with the weight of your screen: the size of TV stands isn't necessarily a guide to the weight it can bear as this depends just as much on the design and material used.

A floor stand usually involves a solid base and then some form of pole which then attaches to either the base or back of your screen. In some cases, a floor stand will have some shelves attached to the pole for storing DVD players, video recorders, satellite receivers and other similar equipment. There may also be a built-in cable tidy to keep the wiring looking neat.

A pedestal stand consists of a fairly heavy base which usually has one or two metal rods which go up and into your screen. The base is designed so that it won't tip over. Because your screen will need built-in holes to house the rods, these TV stands are usually specific to a particular brand of television. The stand then goes on top of a table or cabinet, so you'll need to make sure that whatever you put it on is wide enough to take the stand, and capable of holding the weight of the screen.

A desktop stand is similar to a pedestal stand but usually either snaps into the base of the screen (which usually requires a specific make and model) or grips the base. The main difference between these two TV stands is that a desktop stand often allows you to swivel the screen easily. You probably won't use this option that often, but it can be handy if you have a window in the room which means the sun shines brightly onto the screen at certain times of the day.

Another option is a cabinet, which will usually have some form of attachment on top to hold your screen in place. These range from having a couple of shelves underneath for storing audio-visual equipment to larger models which can even surround the entire screen with shelving to store CDs, DVDs and other media. Some cabinets come with glass doors at the front, which can be useful for keeping young children from fiddling with equipment while still letting you use remote controls. If you need to switch cables around frequently, look for a cabinet with an open back so that you don't need to take equipment out of the cabinet.<bio>To explore our range of tv stands, please visit our website at http://www.avnow.co.uk</bio>

When owning a dog, you need to be sure to keep up to date with the vaccinations for your furry friend.

Vaccinations are important to help keep your pet in the best of heath. The vaccinations for puppies and full grown dogs are a bit different but very important none the less.

Puppies that are at least 6 to 8 weeks of age need to get to DHLPPC vaccinations. These vaccinations are done over a period of time, usually over a three to four week period until they're 16 weeks of age.

Once the puppy is 16 weeks of age, rabies vaccinations and immunizations are then recommended annually. When the shots are done in a series this is also called booster shots.

Puppies need a booster shots to help build their immunity. When puppies are firstborn they get their immunity from their mothers when they nurse. Once they stop nursing the immunity declines and that is where the booster shots come in handy.

The senior dogs are not as susceptible to getting distemper or parvo so your vet may recommend that they get this vaccination every other year. It is still good to take your dog in yearly for a checkup.

You need to be sure to get your dog checked regularly to make sure they're showing no signs of kidney disease or cancer. The earlier you catch things such as these, the better off your dog's chance of survival is.

The combo vaccination called the DHLPPC, covers a number of diseases in one shot.

The D stands for distemper, the H stands for hepatitis or adenovirus-2, L. stands were leptospirosis, the P stands for parainfluenza, the other P stands for parvovirus and the C stands for corona virus. This is a great vaccination to get for your dog is it covers the many illnesses in one injection.

Another type of vaccination that you may get for your dog is Bordetella. It is also known as kennel cough, which is a respiratory infection in dogs.

While it's not a fatal infection it can be hard to get rid of. It can spread fast through boarding and grooming places such as animal shelters or even a vet's office. They can do this vaccination in one of two ways. The first being nasal spray and a second and injection.

If you do the injection then you need to get a booster at one month after the date of the first one.

Unfortunately dogs have to deal with tick problems. Ticks can cause Lyme disease it if you live in an area where there is a lot of woods around then you need to be cautious of the tick problems.

The Lyme vaccine would be a vaccine that you want to get for your dog to protect him or her from Lyme disease.

There is a parasite that lives in the intestines and can be passed from the fecal matter from infected animals. That parasite is called Giardia. Dogs can become infected with this parasite by drinking contaminated water.

Many people don't realize that they can also be infected. The vaccination for Giardia is a good one for dogs that are outdoors a lot. <bio>http://Alojate.com is the premier web hosting company in Mexico, offering a range or services for all business needs. http://www.expomascotas.com.mx http://www.alojate.com http://www.funnyvideos.com.mx </bio>

If you wish to set up a display at a trade show, it works to your advantage to know what the different types of trade show displays are and their advantages and disadvantages. This is important because you are trying to attract the attention of consumers so that they will check out the products or services that you are offering.

When selecting your trade show display, you will notice that they come in many sizes, shapes, cost, and styles. You'll also notice that there are displays that are called tabletop panels, banner stands, literature racks, and pop-up displays. Each one has its own unique function, so it is important that you acquire a display that will accommodate your particular products.

Tabletop Panels

These are pieces shaped like a rectangle and they are used in trade show displays of many different shapes and sizes. They are compact and easy to ship in cases that look like large briefcases. Graphics can also be placed upon these pieces because they allow room for creativity. That way you can lure more people into your area through the appeal you have created through your creativity. This means that company logos and such can be displayed with ease.

There are, however, some disadvantages to tabletop panels. They are not at all simple to assemble. Each time you go to a trade show, you will have to deal with the difficulty of taking them out of their cases and assembling the pieces one-by-one.

Banner Stands

These are stands that are designed to accommodate a retractable fabric or vinyl banner. There are banner stands that come with up to three sides so that you can display your banners and bring attention to your display. These stands are quite light, so they are easy to move around and they even sometimes come with lights to illuminate the products.

But there are advantages and disadvantages to banner stands that mostly lie in the material you use for your banner. That is why it is important to know how you're going to use a banner stand before buying it, especially when purchasing the banner material. In that case, it can be good to purchase fabric. It is harder to clean than vinyl, but easier to read because it does not reflect light and does not crease. However, your vinyl banner will be easier to clean if it becomes soiled. No one wants a soiled banner representing their business.

Literature racks

You will find that literature racks are made up of either aluminum or plastic. They are made to hold many types of literature, including what you are selling or written pieces describing your business. They collapse, so they are very portable and they can be carried within a case or a carrying bag. They do come in many different styles and sizes. The sizes can be anywhere between three pockets and 10. As far as any disadvantages, they are not usually fit to sell or display large amounts of literature.

Pop-up displays

These are displays that are created from fabric, plastic, or vinyl. They can also contain one or more graphic images and can be displayed on a tabletop or on the floor, depending on the size. They are very convenient, simple to put up and take down, and they transport easily. They can work for a small or large exhibit and can use lighting to enhance your presence.

When it comes to the disadvantages, their size cannot be adjusted. That is why you must consider carefully. You should consider the size you need, the durability you need, and the ease of transportation when it comes to a pop-up display. If you think this way with all of the aforementioned displays, then you will find the one that fits you best.<bio>Trade show displays Toronto provides banner stands, pop-up displays and other hanging displays to meet all your branding needs for your next convention or trade show.</bio>

Will You Need A Fish Tank Stand For Your Aquarium?

One of the important steps in setting up your new aquarium is selecting the correct fish tank stand. The stand not only has to adequately support the tank itself, it can also serve a wider variety of needs. You certainly do not want to place your new fish tank on a flimsy bookcase or even a table.

Fish tank stands are designed and constructed to hold the immense amount of weight to which they are subjected. Many beginner aquarists do not realize that a gallon of water weighs about 10 pounds. A small fish tank with 10 gallon capacity will hold about nine gallons of water when filled. It will also include a layer of gravel, various items of tank equipment and decorations. This small 10 gallon tank will therefore weigh at least 100 pounds!

Sourcing Your Fish Tank Stand

There is a wide variety of fish tank stands available. You should be able to find an appropriately sized stand for your tank at a pet store or aquatic hobby store. You may also do an online search for a tank stand. There are now many online retailers dealing exclusively in aquarium equipment that ship nationally or even internationally.

If you are a handyperson and enjoy D-I-Y projects, there are plans available online to build your own fish tank stand.

Fish tank stands can seem rather expensive items; however, there is little option but to purchase one. Most items of furniture around the house are not designed to hold the weight of a fish tank for any length of time.

An advantage of fish tank stands built for a specific sized tank is that they appear more unobtrusive than sitting the tank on an unused piece of furniture. Many fish tank stands can be beautiful items of furniture in their own right and will usually include shelving with doors. This space is extremely useful for holding the items that will be in use regularly in maintaining and cleaning your fish tank and feeding your fish. An enclosed cabinet will also hide the numerous power cords that will be attached to the tank and tend to dangle down unattractively behind it. Some fish tank stands include a matching hood which can further enhance the look of the aquarium.

Once you have set up your fish tank stand, it is often advisable to anchor it to a wall stud, especially if you have small children or pets in the home. Anchoring the tank stand to an adjacent wall can prevent a major accident.

Once your stand is in place you will be able to install your new fish tank and follow the instructions for setting up the fish tank and stocking it with fish.

An aquarium can be a big investment in both time and money. Purchasing a top quality fish tank stand can help ensure that your investment doesn't accidentally get knocked over. Choose the fish tank stand that is designed for your aquarium and suits your home's style, and you will feel confident in establishing your fish tank. <bio>Alison Stevens is an online author and maintains The Goldfish Site http://www.goldfishsite.com/blog/ to assist anyone who wants to get started with setting up an aquarium fish tank and keeping freshwater fish. </bio>

If you have made the decision to purchase an outdoor hammock, or any other type of hammock, you may want to consider what type of hammock stand would best suit your needs. Whether it would be wooden hammock stand, an arc hammock stand, or a metal one -- it all depends on how much money you want to spend and how sturdy you want your new hammock stand to be.

Choosing the right hammock stand can be a very easy thing to be overlooked when it comes to putting your hammock together, yet it is very important to the whole process. Read on to learn what you should think about when concerning a hammock stand.

First, you should look at the hammock itself and judge how sturdy it is, or how sturdy you want it to be. This should be a huge deciding factor when it comes to choosing the right stand. You will want a stand that is as sturdy as it needs to be in order to meet the needs of the hammock and making certain that it is properly secured. This is extremely important for the safety and the support of all the people who may be using the hammock.

Second, you should consider where you intend to place the stand and the hammock. Whether it would be situated near the barbeque in the backyard, or beside the swimming pool, or inside the house -- in any case you should measure the space you have selected. This way you make certain that there is enough room for the stand to fit comfortably before purchasing it. When you do the measuring, you can make certain that you do not waste your time and money on buying a stand that is too large in length or width to fit the spot you have chosen, or on one that is too small to use the space adequately.

Lastly, you should certainly compare the cost and quality of the stand before actually purchasing it. This is very important to you and your hammock. If you get a high quality hammock and a cheap hammock stand, then you are just wasting your time. You want to make certain that they are equal in quality and cost. Although, cheap hammock stands look equally beautiful, supportive and sturdy compared to the more expensive ones (besides you would be the only one to know the actual cheaper price of your stand, right).

Now, that you have got the three basic tips you need to choose the right hammock stand for your hammock, get out there and buy it. By reading this you have already done your research and do not need to waste any valuable time wondering what to do. If you follow those tips and take off the measures correctly, it is 100 % sure that you will buy the perfect stand for you - the one that works best for your needs.

I am sure you will remember about how happy and enthusiastic you were about buying the right hammock stand while you are lying back blissfully in your nice hammock.<bio>Find out more tips and useful information about how to choose the right hammock stands that would be sturdy enough to support your hammock, hammock chair or swing.
For years, the Motion Picture Association of America has rated movies according to content so that parents would know which movies were suitable for younger viewers. In the beginning, there were just three ratings-G, PG, and R. Movie theaters were also much more careful about admitting children that were too young into a movie that was intended for more mature audiences.

Now there are additional ratings and the movie theaters are not that careful about who they allow in. As a parent trying to determine a suitable movie for your children to see, you may be confused as to what the ratings are and exactly what they all mean. Below is a description of each rating and how it is determined.

The G rating stands for General Audiences, although this does not signify that it is a "children's movie." It simply means that there is nothing offensive in the theme, language, or content that would be unsuitable for young children. The presence of violence in the movie is minimal, and there is no nudity, sex, or drug use depicted.

The PG rating stands for Parental Guidance Suggested. While there may be some violence and brief nudity in the movie, it is entirely up to the parents as to whether their children should view it or not. The Motion Picture Association does not feel that the content is intense enough to strongly caution parents. There is also no drug use depicted in a PG rated picture either.

One of the newer ratings is the PG-13 rating, which stands for Parents Strongly Cautioned. These pictures are not recommended to be viewed by children less than thirteen years of age as they often depict violence, nudity, sensuality, adult activities, and other elements that go beyond the PG rating but are not deemed to warrant an R rating. Drug use in a movie will automatically cause it to have at least a PG-13 rating.

An R rating on a movie stands for Restricted, which simply means that children under seventeen should not be admitted without a parent or adult guardian. These pictures include adult themes and activities, hard language, intense violence, nudity that is sexually orientated, drug abuse, and other adult situations. Parents are strongly discouraged from bringing young children to an R rated movie and should check it out carefully in order to determine if it is appropriate for older children.

Another one of the newer ratings is NC-17 which stands for No One 17 or Younger Will Be Admitted. The Motion Picture Association feels that movies with this rating are too mature for any children to view. This rating does not necessarily mean that the picture is pornographic. It simply means that the amount of violence, sex, drug abuse, and other adult situations are too mature for the younger audience.

Once you understand this ratings system, you should be able to choose movies that are suitable for your children, whether it be in a theater or in the comfort of your own home. For a more detailed description of the rating system, you can visit the Motion Picture Association of America's Website to find the answers to any questions that you may have.<bio>Find helpful and creative ideas for parents and grandparents while you shop our affordable kids furniture.
There are so many types of tree stands that are made for different applications it may be confusing to a beginner. Every question from When do I need a tripod stand? What manufacturer or model do I need most? Is a loc-on stand better than a ladder stand? Maybe I should build my own stand? Where can I get the plans? Lets take a more closer look into tree stands and about these great pieces of bowhunting equipment.

Summit 2005 Bullet Back Packer Climbing Tree Stan

The first tree stand we will look at is the Summit 2005 Bullet Back Packer Climbing Tree Stand.
With all of the different kind of coozies available now a days you tend to forget about the original can coozies. These originals opened the gait way to all the many choices that you have now. With all these new options you may be wondering what am I going to chose, well sometimes the simpler the better. Coozies are a great promotional items and almost everyone can use them. You give one coozy to a customer or potential customer and it will be seen by many people in many different situations on many different occasions. So think about all the exposure you will be getting with just one item and it does not require any additional work. The person you gave the koozy to will be reminded of your business when they use the koozy and therefore will keep your business in mind for any future projects or problems that your services can help with. The coozy will also be seen by others with that individual uses the koozy so this will bring on continues new exposure. You can also give coozies to your employees at company functions so they can take them home and product the same chain affect as if you have them to customers. The other time you can hand them out is to companies that offer you services, so your printer, the mail carrier, your tailor and anyone else thus creating the chain reaction yet again.

Now that you are ready to order your coozies on the web, you need to create your design. This should be fun, let's look at what you need to include then you can add other elements to it as you wish. The most important information of course is your business name, you need to make sure that this stands out before all the other text or designs on the koozy. After this you should include your business phone number and then you can also add your business address if you wish. If your business has a logo you should include that on the koozy, if not try to create an attractive design that will catch people's eye. Think of what you want the text color to be, you can make it all the same color or you may chose to have the business name a different color so that it stands out from the rest of the text.
>From March 11 thru 17

Back to reality this week with the shock news that my weight did not go down enough to report; probably no more than a few ounces (around 50 grams). Hence I'm sad to report that my weight still stands at 188 pounds (93 kilos). I guess I became a little too complacent after the better than expected results of the previous few weeks. This raises the big question of who, or what, is to blame?

As I live by the rule that I am responsible for all that goes wrong, as well as all that goes right, in my life then it stands to reason that I am to blame. Because I am to blame for a poor week then I know that it is within my power to turn that around in the coming week. That's the great thing about accepting responsibility -- you can always turn things around. People that avoid responsibility rarely turn things around.

So what happened to the positive momentum? Without using this as an excuse I have suffered a slight cold for the past week and have not been exercising at the rate I have become used to. Exercise has been a major part of my calorie burn-off routine. This has been offset slightly by the fact that whilst feeling unwell I haven't eaten as much either. Probably this explains why my weight has remained the same rather than increasing; my calorie intake has been lower and I guess I reached the perfect balance of weight neutrality this week. That's fine when my weight is where I want it to be but right now I still need to lose 8 pounds (3.9 kilos) to reach my target weight.

In this coming week I will not attempt to lose more than my target 1 pound (450 grams) because when you start playing catch up it throws the entire routine and places you under greater pressure. Psychologically it is better to accept that I did not reach my target last week and move on.

This week nothing will change, my target is one pound, my exercise sessions will still be three per week and I will still strive to put more aerobic action into my normal day.

This article is copyright © David McCarthy 2006. <bio>David McCarthy is a prolific article writer on all things food and health related.
