The scenery is primitive and has understandably, been the setting for films such as the Tarzan films.

Apalachicola Barrier Islands

Apalachicola, an old town south west of the forest, is the state's oyster capital. The three marvellous Barrier Islands are across the bay.

One of these is St George Island - a 28 mile barrier island. It is still the least inhabited and is unspoilt, even though you can get there by road. Its miles of white sand beaches are uncrowded, great for swimming and catching a variety of fish. You can see many gracious wildlife like turtles.

Take a break from the beautiful seashore and visit one of the many restaurants serving fresh local seafood such as oysters of course.

Or go shopping on the Island for clothing, beach stuff, gifts and art.

Another of the Barrier Islands is Little St George Island. Perfect for those who like a measure of isolation. The island is about 75 miles from Tallahassee and is reached by bridge and causeway from US 98.

You can camp for free, but bring your own facilities. There is of course, the white sand beaches, bird watching (ospreys and eagles), wildlife (yes, and racoons) and last but definitely not least - fantaastic fishing.

The third of the Barrier Islands is the St Vincent Island. You can only get there by boat.

But is has many fresh water lakes and salt water swamps. It is a birdwatchers paradise. <bio>Tim Burton writes travel articles for the popular Orlando Villas Florida by Owner website at http://www.milkriver.co.uk and Worldwide Villas by Owner website at http://www.worldwidevillas.net Article may be reprinted but must include the all the author's bio </bio>

Bermuda is a group of 150 volcanic islands in the North Atlantic 500 miles from North Carolina. The whole land area extends to only 20 square miles and Bermuda Island is the biggest.

Discovered by the Spanish in 1503, the island prospered with the arrival of English settlers in the early 1600's and those cultural links exist to this day.

Bermuda is still a British dependency and the British monarch is the official head of state. However, the island is self governing and has its own parliament.

Bermuda is world famous for its ability to attract tourists, and it's not surprising when you consider the beauty of the islands. The water is crystal clear, the sand is soft pink, the plants are light green and the sky is every shade of pastel blue.

Due to its history, the culture of Bermuda is a mixture of British formality and Caribbean

For example, while the politeness and conservatism of afternoon tea is still popular, the freedom and excitement of Gombey music and dance captures the essence of island life on Bermuda.

And while the old British values of politeness and neatness are appreciated by many of the native Bermudans, due to the climate of the area, the informality of Bermuda shorts are an acceptable part of business attire. Rather ironically these Bermudan shorts are frowned upon by most cruise lines in certain parts of the ship, such as the dining room.

Thanks to the Gulfstream, Bermuda has a great climate that allows all year round cruising. However, the peak season is from April to October. Unfortunately, this coincides with the hurricane season so your cruise could be interrupted if a storm moves into the area.

When your ship arrives in Bermuda, it will either dock in one of the two former city ports (Hamilton or St George) or the Royal Naval Dockyard at King's Wharf. Hamiltion or St George are better locations because the Naval Dockyard is rather isolated, although a number of shopping and eating places are beginning to appear.

If you cruise itinerary allows you to spend some time in Bermuda, bear in mind that cars are not available to rent. So if you want to get around the main island you'll have to do your sightseeing from a rented scooter. This is a great way to experience the freedom of the island, but you must get a copy of the local rules from the Bermuda Road Safety Council. Oh yes, and remember to drive on the left. <bio>To discover more about bermuda cruises and cruise vacations in general, visit Kristen Olsen's site at http://www.holidaycruisesguide.com </bio>

To many travelers, Amelia Island is a newfound paradise. But centuries of people have been drawn to its tranquil shores and exquisite natural beauty.

According to local folklore and historical evidence, Timucuan Indians first inhabited Amelia Island as early as 2000 BC. The Timucuan people were known for elaborate body tattoos in yellow, black, blue and red.

The island was originally named andquot;Isle de Maiandquot; (Island of May) by Jean Ribault, a Huguenot leader who landed on Amelia Island in 1562. It is said that when Ribault and his troops arrived, they were welcomed by the Timcuans and given baskets of berries. Even though the Spanish had claimed the area in 1513, these French colonists showed interest in the Island to claim land for France and to seek refuge from the religious and political persecution given to Huguenots. Though Ribault and his company did not settle on Amelia Island, other Huguenots landed in 1564. This second colony constructed Fort Caroline in Northern Jacksonville near the mouth of the St. John's River. In 1565, Spanish troops came to the area, killed the French settlers and regained the territory, which they had claimed as their own years before.

The arrival of these Spanish troops led to the first Spanish reign from 1565 to 1763. A mission called Santa Maria was built on the northern end of Amelia Island in what is now known as Old Town. The mission was created to convert Indians to Christianity. At that time, the original name andquot;Isle de Maiandquot; was changed to andquot;Isle de Santa Mariaandquot;.

In the years to follow, the Timucuans of Amelia Island gained contact with the Europeans, and British settlements in the North soon took a keen interest in the naturally deep ports and the strategic trade route locations on the island. Once again the name of the island was changed, this time to andquot;Ameliaandquot; in honour of the Princess Amelia, daughter of King George II. James Oglethorpe, Governor of Georgia, put the name change in place in 1735. The British changed the name of the island to andquot;Ameliaandquot;, but the land did not fall into British hands until the Spanish Florida was traded for British Cuba in 1763 in an agreement under the Treaty of Paris. During British rule, Amelia Island was known as Egmont.

In 1783, the Second Treaty of Paris ended the Revolutionary War, and Florida was returned to Spain. In 1811 a surveyor named George J. F. Clarke plotted the town of Fernandina, named in honor of King Ferdinand VII of Spain. The Patriots of Amelia Island, an independent group of American civilians backed by the United States government, seized control of the island, drove out the Spanish, and raised the American flag. The following day, Amelia Island was ceded to the United States.

1870 to 1910 was considered the Golden Age of Amelia Island. During this era, several wealthy Americans made Fernandina their homes. Elegant Victorian style houses were built in what became known as the Silk Stocking District. Ulysses Grant visited the Egmont Hotel, one of the grandest hotels of its time. The turn-of-the-century boom of Amelia Island came about with the advent of the shipping industry, and increasing numbers of New Yorkers who came traveled by steamboat to enjoy the warm climate and elegant hotels in Amelia.

In recent years, Amelia Island has grown and prospered as a popular tourist destination. Many accommodation choices are available to suit every sort of traveler, and the Amelia Island Plantation is considered to be one of the world's perfect island destinations. Modern tourists are learning what centuries had already known: Amelia Island is a true treasure. <bio>Charles Jackson contributes to several online magazines, including http://great-recreation.com and http://susaq.com </bio>

George Nelson was born in 1908 in Hartford, Connecticut, USA and he died in 1986 in New York at the age of seventy eight. George Nelson is seen as one of the factors in Americans modernism along with Charles and Ray Eames. George Nelson is remembered as being the inventor of beautiful and practical things.

George Nelson graduated from Yale University in 1928 where he had been studying architecture. In 1931 George Nelson graduated with a bachelor degree in fine arts. In 1932 George Nelson won the Rome Prize whilst preparing for the Paris Prize competition.

George Nelson was unable to find a lot of architecture projects, so he decided to turn to interior designing and product designing and graphics.

George Nelson spent a couple of years travelling through Europe whilst being based in Rome. It was in this time that he met some of the modern pioneers. After a couple of years of traveling, George Nelson returned to America where he started to devote himself to writing.

In 1935 George Nelson became the first associate editor of the Architectural Forum, which he continued to do until 1943 when he became a consultant editor.

George Nelson had by 1940 drawn a lot of attention to his work by the innovation of several concepts. In a book, which George Nelson wrote called Tomorrow's House, he introduced the concept of a family room. Another of George Nelson's concepts was the "storagewall". This concept attracted a great deal of interest especially from Herman Miller, so much so that in 1945 he asked George Nelson to be his design director. Herman Miller himself was a fine designer and clockmaker.

The role of design director saw the start of a lot of excellent collaborations between George Nelson and Ray and Charles Eames, Harry Bertois and many others.

One of George Nelson's designs was the Ball Clock. The Ball clock was iconically designed after a night of drinking with friends, although it is still unknown to this day who originally came up with the concept.

George Nelson had a talent for commercial business as well as for designing. George Nelson used these two strong talents to create a success that rewarded him for his life. On the 26th October 1955 George Nelson started Gorge Nelson and Associates.

Herman Miller offered George Nelson a lot of money to become his creative designer. From the start of the business there was money coming in from a wide range of projects. The first office of the company was on 251 Park Avenue South in New York. George Nelson rented this office space together with Howard Miller and Herman Miller. The office took on a young Italian student who was so impressed with the work being carried out in the office that he applied and received a student visa to work in Italy. The student's name was Ettore Sottsass, and he later went on to be a renowned designer within his own right.

From the first day of the George Nelson Associates Inc business to the day that it closed in the mid 1980's it developed a lot of close relationships, and many of these were with the Fortune 500 companies.<bio>Find international design at furniture design.
When you hear the name Amelia Island, you most likely have a vision of an exotic, private getaway, complete with an isolated island covered in white beaches and surrounded with crystal blue waters. Well that is not the case with this particular island. Amelia Island, Florida is a small quaint little place, being only approximately 18.2 square miles of space that is widely noted for the slower pace of life there. Most find this the perfect place to live as you do not have the complications that city life has to offer.

There are no traffic jams, no congested living areas and there are no dinner or opera theaters. All of these city-life extras are just a short drive away, should the need arise for city living. This makes the island a perfect place for family getaways, making your trip a truly relaxing experience. You can focus on relaxing and having fun rather than trying to cram in all the shops you can while on vacation. The island has white beaches on one side and you can drive completely through the island, not even knowing you were there while cruising the coast.

Amelia Island consists of three areas or zones, if you will, that make up the complete Island. The first zone being called Fernandina Beach, which is the north end of the city. Amelia Island is the middle section of the island and the southern part, or third zone, is called Amelia Island Plantation. If you are looking for more modern and newer sites, you will want to visit the southern parts as the island was developed in a southern direction. The further south you travel on the island, the newer the sites you will see. The third zone is perhaps the largest of the Island, which is most likely why you will find the newer sites there.

With its quiet, slower pace of life, the island still remains one of the hot spots for vacationers. Amelia Island, Florida offers no traffic, great fishing, beautiful beaches and a comfortable slower pace of life. Not much to offer in the way of employment, but the Island is conveniently located near many areas, such as Jacksonville and even Georgia that offer plenty of jobs and most find the commute is worth it to keep the simple life in place. Jacksonville is near by with just a 30-minute drive. You will truly love a trip to Amelia Island, Florida. <bio>http://www.ameliaislandcheap.com </bio>

If you want a top exclusive all inclusive Belize resort, then a few miles offshore you will find St. George's Caye Resort, which needs checking out before you book anywhere else

An exclusive resort sitting on a very private island, just twenty minutes away from the mainland of Belize sounds more than perfect. The island is called St George's Caye and it is home to the terrific All Inclusive St. George's Caye Resort.

St George's Caye is the closest inhabited island to mainland Belize it is far enough away to give you, as a guest, all the seclusion you want.

To describe St George's Caye as a combination of beautiful palm trees, shimmering white sand that almost hurts you eyes to look at, beautiful orchids, and backed by the incredible turquoise Caribbean. Words cannot hope to do it justice, but when you add in the tranquility, and the completely relaxed yet exclusive atmosphere, you still can't do St. George's Caye Resort justice.

Like an exclusive resort should be, whether it is a Caribbean Exclusive resort or anywhere else you look for great service, and that is exactly what you get at St. George's Caye Resort. You will be made to feel like royalty such is the quality of the service, and trying to mark it out of 10 would mean 10+ without any question of doubts at all.

Whilst the all inclusive option does include three gourmet meals every day, plus coffee and fresh juice delivered to your door, evening appetizers, and unlimited use of Hobie Cats, windsurfers, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, plus wireless internet service it does not include bar drinks or in room minibar.

The all inclusive meal plan gives you three splendid meals every day, eaten family style so you get to know the few other guests there are at St. George's Caye Resort. The meals are of uniformly high quality with lots to choose from, but if you are a bit picky then that is taken care of without fuss. What you will discover is that they make the best fruit juices you can imagine

St George's Caye is quite narrow and long, and you have the lagoon view cabanas on one side, and the ocean view on the other, and it only takes two minutes to get from one side to the other. The lagoon side has the amazing sunsets, and the view of a tiny island with a very attractive house standing alone, plus views of the mangroves. The ocean side watches the sun come up in all its splendour, and it's here you have the beach, the pier, the coconut palms, and the thatched sunshades on the beach. The thing to do is to get up early and grab a hammock, and watch the sunset with the coffee that arrives at your door every morning.

Unfortunately whilst the beach looks good it isn't great for swimming, so the hotel organizes trips to a sandbar, so the guests can swim there.

The accommodation choices are either Oceanfront Cabanas, Lagoon Cabanas, Garden Cabanas, or Resort Rooms, and Resort Reef Rooms which are in the main resort where you take meals. As a preference for privacy the 4 Oceanfront Cabanas, or the 2 Garden Cabanas would be best because the Lagoon Cabanas sit in a semi circle on the decking over the water. They have all been refurbished and are well equipped.

If swimming off the beach is important to you then St. George's Caye Resort may not be to your liking, but for scuba divers this place is a good choice. If you want service then you will soon discover why this place is a top exclusive Caribbean Resort.<bio>Jim Brown recently began developing Belize Vacation Spots as well as contributing several articles about Worldwide Vacation Spots and he recommends Caribbean Vacation Spots but given a choice he would choose Belize before anywhere else</bio>

But it is close enough to the mainland of Florida that you can drive onto it and not completely realize you are on an island.

To the east of Amelia Island is the Atlantic Ocean; to the south is Nassau Sound. The northern part of the island is separated from the mainland by small rivers and big creeks and to the west of the island is the Amelia River and marsh land.

Amelia Island is a small island being just 18.2 square miles; 13 miles long and 4 miles wide at its widest point. It is the southernmost island in the chain of barrier islands known as the Sea Islands which run from the Carolinas to Florida.

Life is relaxed and slow paced on Amelia Island. Activities include boating, fishing, shelling, and swimming. There is also a historic shopping district downtown and plenty of good restaurants and shops. The mainland is just a short drive over the bridge and Jacksonville is about a 30 minute drive where you will find the hustle and bustle of a large city.

Amelia Island is a popular vacation spot for families because of its relaxed ambiance and pristine beaches. Amelia Island relies on tourism for its economy and most jobs on the island are in the hospitality industry. Many residents drive into Jacksonville or Georgia for employment. For them the long commute is a worthwhile trade off to live on such a picturesque island.

Amelia Island has many accommodations including bed and breakfast inns and luxury resorts. Choose a room right on the beach if you like, of course the island is so small you are never very far from the beach no matter where you stay.

The southern portion of the island is home to the Amelia Island Plantation which is a widely acclaimed 4 diamond luxury resort which is situated on 1350 acres and boasts four 18 hole golf courses and 23 clay tennis courts. <bio>Abby Johnson is a staff writer at http://islandvacationexpert.com and is an occasional contributor to several other websites, including http://www.lifestylegazette.com. </bio>

My husband retired last year, and I have always been a stay at home mom raising the kids. However, our wonderful children have since grown and are living their own lives, so my husband George and I can do what we want to now. Not that we couldn't when our kids were growing up, but you know what I mean -- we can start having adventures again.

I'm always amazed at the fun things George has up his sleeve after all these years. I mean, we're in our late 60's and people often mistake us for newlyweds! Can you imagine? George always gives me little hints about our trips and all he would say is that we were going to a Florida attraction I'd never guess. He sure was right! George surprised me just last week on our 45th wedding anniversary with a brochure on Cypress Airboats. Never in my life did I imagine I'd be riding on any kind of open air boat in the midst of snakes, lizards, alligators, and lord knows what else.

I would have thought George might take me to one of the better-known Florida Attractions like Disney World or Busch Gardens. I am so glad he chose an airboat tour instead! It was so thrilling!

George selected an early morning airboat tour, and we had breakfast just before we started. When I stepped onto the airboat, I was really nervous, but George just tucked my arm under his and guided me along like he has all these years. We were able to see alligators, and the only place I ever thought I'd want to see alligator skin was on a purse! It was just so exciting. I felt like I could reach out and touch the alligators, but of course, I didn't!

The best part of the airboat trip, aside from having a special tour of the Florida Everglades with my wonderful husband, was when we saw a blue heron. One of our first dates way back when was at a jazz club called the Blue Heron. There is no way George could have anticipated we would see a blue heron on our trip with Cypress Airboats, but it made our tour even more perfect.

If you are considering a trip to Florida, I would definitely recommend Cypress Airboats' private tours over any other Florida Attraction. Sure, you could go ride roller coasters and see how movies are made, but those are common events in a person's life and will be logged with all the other memories you often forget. I can't think of any attraction in Florida that is more memorable that the Florida Everglades with their thick vegetation and fantastic wildlife. George and I had such a great time we're thinking of going again for our 50th wedding anniversary and taking an even longer airboat tour! <bio>http://www.CypressAirboats.com - Open Year Round. </bio>

When we think of Hawaii vacations, Oahu and Maui are often the first islands that come to mind, but they are not all that Hawaii is about. You can also have the perfect vacation while visiting Hawaii's Big Island. If you would like to take a Big Island vacation, you will need to make your vacation reservations. As you likely already know, you have a number of different ways to book your reservations. One of those ways is with a Big Island vacation package. As nice as Big Island vacation packages are, you may be wondering whether or not you should purchase one.

When determining whether or not you should purchase your vacation reservations in the form of a Big Island vacation package, there are a number of important factors that need to be taken into to consideration. Those factors include how much money you are looking to save, what type of travel arrangements and accommodations you will need, and if you have already started making your reservations. Those factors are vital, when it comes to determining whether or not you should purchase a Big Island vacation package.

As previously mentioned, you need to know what type of accommodations and travel arrangements you will need to make. Whether you are coming from the United States or another country, you will need to make airline reservations. In addition to airline reservations, you will also need to decide on your overnight accommodations. Whether you choose to stay at a Big Island vacation home, condo, vacation resort, or hotel, you will need to make your reservations. Also, do you plan on renting a car? These arrangements are important because they will help to determine whether or not you should purchase a Big Island vacation package. For example, many Big Island vacation packages include overnight accommodations, airline reservations, and car rentals. You will not want what to purchase a vacation package if you will not use the services that are included in those packages.

In addition to the accommodations and travel arrangements that you need to make, it is also important to determine whether or not you have already made any of your Big Island vacation reservations. As mentioned above, most Big Island vacation packages include overnight accommodations, airline reservations, and car rentals. If you already booked your overnight accommodations, say at a Big Island vacation rental, you will not want to purchase a vacation package that includes overnight accommodations. Purchasing a Big Island vacation package that includes arrangements and accommodations that you will not use will not save you money, but it will actually end up costing you money.

Speaking of saving money, how much money do you wish to save on your next Big Island vacation? Better yet, do you want to save money? If you are like most other travelers then your answer should be yes. If you want to save money on your next Big Island vacation then you may want to purchase a Big Island vacation package. Almost all Big Island vacation packages are designed to save you money. You are given discounts by booking a number of your vacation reservations at the same time, all at once. The amount of money that you will save, with a Big Island vacation package, will all depend on the package in question. Despite the varied amounts of savings, it is possible to save anywhere from fifty to two hundred dollars on your next Hawaii Big Island vacation, with the purchase of a vacation package.

As stated above, you will be able to save money on your next Big Island vacation with the purchase of a vacation package, but only if you will use the services and accommodations that are included. That is why it is advised that you thoroughly examine all vacation packages before making the decision to purchase one. <bio>As Big Island vacations http://www.hawaiianbeachrentals.com/Hawaii/BigIsland/rentals1.htm continue to increase in popularity, so does the number of vacation packages. You may want to book your next http://www.hawaiianbeachrentals.com Hawaii rental house in a package. </bio>

Are you looking to book your next Big Island vacation? If so, do you know where you want to stay, in the form of overnight accommodations? If you are looking for convenience and privacy, all in one, you may be looking to book a stay at a Big Island condo. If so, you will need to pick a Big Island condo that you would like to rent out for your vacation. When doing so, there are a number of important factors that you should take into consideration.

Perhaps, one of the most important factors in choosing a Big Island condo is price. If you have a set vacation budget, there is a good chance that you will need to stay on that budget. There is good news though, especially if you are using the internet to search for Big Island condos. A large number of online travel websites allow you to customize your searches by price. Customizing your Big Island condo search by price or at least keeping price in mind, is the best way to not only find the vacation condo of your dreams, but also one that you can afford.

In addition to price, location is something else that you will want to take into consideration. Big Island received its name because it is the largest of all Hawaiian Islands. This means that there are a number of different cities that you can vacation at on Big Island. If you know which area of Big Island you would like to visit, it may be easier to choose the perfect Big Island condo for your vacation. If you have yet to choose your island location, you may want to just go searching for vacation condos. You will almost always find that they are located in popular vacation destinations; which are typically near beaches.

It is also important to examine the size of Big Island condos. Big Island vacation condos come in a number of different sizes. A large number of condos only come with one bedroom, but it is possible to find Big Island condos that are larger in size, with more bedrooms. If you are traveling with a group of friends or your family, you will need to keep condo sizes in mind. In fact, as with the price, you should also be able to customize your Big Island condo searches online to find a condo that has a certain number of bedrooms. This would also be a great time to make sure that the condo of your choice has air conditioning, a full kitchen, or onsite laundry facilities, especially if you need them.

Aside from price, the other most important to factor to consider, when booking a Big Island vacation condo is availability. You can spend hours or days searching for the perfect Big Island condo for your next vacation, but it won't do you any good if the condo of your choice is already reserved. That is why it may be a good idea to check availability of condos first, before examining anything else. Depending on where you are searching, you may also be able to customize your Big Island condo search to eliminate condos that are not available for your dates of travel.

By keeping the above mentioned factors in mind, you should easily be able to find, choose, and rent the perfect Big Island vacation condo for your next vacation. Big Island condos are popular among tourists; therefore, you will want to try and make your reservations in advance. Doing so, especially when combined with the above mentioned factors, is the best way to ensure that you get to spend your vacation at the Big Island condo of your choice. <bio>If you are one of the many planning http://www.hawaiianbeachrentals.com/Hawaii/BigIsland/rentals1.htm Big Island vacations, you are urged to examine Hawaiianvacationrentals.com. They have a large selection of http://www.hawaiianbeachrentals.com vacation rentals in Hawaii. </bio>

Have you recently made the decision to travel to Hawaii? If so, have you decided on an island yet? Popular vacation destinations, for those traveling to Hawaii, include Big Island, Kauai, Molokai, Oahu, Maui, and Lanai. When further examining each of these islands, you may find it difficult to make a decision. What you may not know is that you do not necessarily have to choose just one island. With the recent spike in tourism, a large number of Hawaii travel companies have made it easier, as well as more affordable, to travel from one Hawaiian Island to another. These types of trips are often referred to as inter-island Hawaii trips.

As you likely already assume, inter-island Hawaii trips eliminate the need to make a decision; a decision as to which of the six main Hawaiian Islands you would like to visit. You will still have to decide which island you would like to visit first; however, you don't necessarily have to eliminate an island that you would like to visit. Whether you want to go shopping on Big Island, enjoy the beaches of Maui, or lounge on the peaceful island of Lanai, you could easily do so. Inter-island Hawaii trips give you the luxury of visiting and staying, as long as you would like, at two or more of your favorite islands.

Perhaps, what is most exciting about inter-island Hawaii trips is that it will actually appear is you are on more than one vacation. In fact, it may seem as if you are on a vacation inside of another vacation. Traveling over the ocean and arriving to another Hawaiian Island, one that is unique all on its own, is something that is just absolutely amazing. This experience is ideal for any vacation; however, many vacationers find it romantic. Whether you are planning a romantic getaway or you are on your honeymoon, you and your partner may enjoy the romance and excitement created with inter-island travel.

Although it may be best to decide on inter-island travel before you leave for Hawaii, you don't necessarily have to. A number of inter-island Hawaii travel companies cater to tourists who make last minute decisions. Essentially, this means that whether are looking to spice up your vacation or you heard another tourist talk highly of another one of the Hawaii Islands, you can easily alter your travel plans. That is one of the many things that vacationers love about inter-island travel, the ability to change their itinerary, however and whenever they see fit. Even with last minute travel, you are sure to find the cost of an inter-island flight relatively affordable.

Even though it is possible to decide on inter-island travel once you arrive in Hawaii, it may be best to plan ahead. In addition to getting low-cost airfare deals, you may also find affordable inter-island Hawaii trip packages. These packages may not only include roundtrip inter-island airfare, but hotel accommodations, as well as a car rental. It is a known fact that you can almost always save money with vacation packages; therefore, if you are looking for inter-island Hawaii trips, while on a budget, it may be a good idea to plan or, at least, discuss inter-island travel before you leave for Hawaii.

When it comes to deciding whether or not an inter-island Hawaiian vacation is what you want, the decision is completely yours to make; however, it may be a good idea to keep the above mentioned points in mind. Familiarizing yourself with inter-island Hawaii trips, as well as the benefits to taking them, is the best way to go about making the decision that best fits your vacation needs. <bio>Want the perfect http://www.hawaiianbeachrentals.com/Hawaii/rentals/1.htm?
It is an island that is most well known as the number one European destination for cheap holidays, but Majorca has also been associated with the rich and famous for centuries. The Spanish Royal Family have a palace and go on holiday in Majorca every year, and there are numerous other celebrities, past and present, who have chosen to make the island their home for at least part of the year.
If you are looking for a luxury private island, why not check out Palm Island in the Grenadines for your honeymoon

A Luxury private island is a dream vacation for many, and to have a private island honeymoon is what seems to be an impossible dream. In the island group of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines lies Palm Island, where you could make this dream come true, although you will have to share this private tropical island with other hotel guests.

Palm Island is about a mile from Union Island in the Grenadines, and there are just forty guest rooms which are scattered amongst the palm groves across the island. The island itself has five beaches inside coral reefs, and perfect for some relaxing snorkeling.

Most people fly into Union Island and then take a boat across to Palm Island where you are likely to be greeted by the manager with a rum punch.

Palm Island resort has two restaurants serving top quality cuisine from locally caught fish to international dishes. The Royal Palm Restaurant has one buffet night, and one barbecue night a week, on the other five days you order off the menu. Dinner then is five courses meal with some very interesting soups and desserts. If you've never eaten shark or swordfish then now is a good time to try!

If a buffet isn't your thing, then you can go the the Sunset restaurant and although the menu is small it is very good.

You may feel the dinner service is slow, well what is your hurry. This is a luxury island, but it is a Caribbean Island, and the pace is slow. Isn't that the point of a dream vacation, that you're not in a hurry? Just relax, drink a bit more, and enjoy the sound of the waves in the background, you haven't anywhere to go except the bar, a walk on the beach or bed. If this is your private island honeymoon, make sure you tell the resort when you are booking, and you may get upgraded to the honeymoon suite.

The honeymoon suite is at the end of the resort, so it's very secluded without any passing traffic so to speak, with your own hammock under some palm trees. Nice room, huge walk in shower, permanently stocked fridge and a shaded deck with sun loungers and a table. There is even a foot shower to rinse off the sand before going into the room.

There is no air-conditioning, because frankly you don't need any. There are beautiful cooling tropical breezes, just allow them in!!

Palm Island is very definitely a place for the dream vacation, a real luxury private island honeymoon spot, meant for couples who just want to get away from it all, and just enjoy the feeling of seclusion that only a private island can give you. Having said that the atmosphere is such that of you choose you can easily make friends at the bar, where you will find that most of your fellow guests are either from the UK or the USA.

Palm Island is very beautiful with soft white sand and the sea a shade of blue that almost looks like paint. You can go exploring every day, climb the hills, snorkel off the beaches, and never see another soul. It does really feel like your own luxury private island, and the perfect spot for a dream vacation or a private island honeymoon. Go to Palm Island in the Grenadines your Caribbean Island Hideaway. <bio>Gordon Steven writes exclusively for http://www.caribbean-vacationspots.com as well as http://www.worldwidevacationspots.com and has visited personally many of the places he reports on, and has done extensive research on the others </bio>

If you are considering a retirement move, St. George, Utah is a safe, fun place to live.

Washington County and St. George (the city in the heart of Washington County) enjoy a very low crime rate. When it comes to raising children our community, schools, and parents in particular, use strong old fashioned values to guide the children and teenagers. This caring environment produces warm, friendly families who care about their neighbors and neighborhoods.

Summers in St. George are hot from June to August. Summer temperatures run from about 104 to 110 during the day. Fall and spring are beautiful with temps running 70s to 80's. Winters are crisp during January and February with hard frosts at night and 50 temperatures during the day.

St. George has an amazing variety of entertainment activities. For example we have a 2000 seat outdoor amphitheater (Tuachan Amphitheater) that has a stage back drop of soaring 1000 foot red rock cliffs. These cliffs occasionally are highlighted with natural water falls shortly after a rain fall. Productions of Cats, Westside Story, South Pacific, and Peter Pan are just a few of the shows that run throughout the summer and fall.

Washington County, where St. George is located, also has a live musical theater in-the-round (St. George Musical Theater), two new libraries and several first-class restaurants. There is shopping galore, with most stores being new or nearly new.

Of course, the natural beauty of Southern Utah is amazing. Several National and State Parks are very close by. The red rocks of Zion Park, Bryce Canyon and Snow Canyon State Parks are within just a few minutes to a few hours drive of St. George.

The St. George area attracts a lot of retirees. This means that age restricted communities abound. In addition to the retirement communities, the builders tend to cater to retirees by building a lot of one story homes with large rooms and small easy to manage yards. There are also several gated communities geared towards the "well-to-do" with home prices starting at $750,000 and going up from there.

If you are looking for a great retirement town, St. George, Utah might be the place to move to. <bio>This content is provided by http://www.stgeorgerealestate.info and may be used or republished only in its entirety with all links included.
The George White Insurance Agency understands the problems facing consumers in need of auto insurance in Texas. Current rates are very high, and this is even more the case if you need auto insurance in Houston or another dense metropolitan area. Founded in 1983 in Houston, TX, the George White Insurance Agency brings its wide array of experience and knowledge to bear on your individual situation. If you live in Texas, cheap auto insurance is guaranteed to you by virtually every insurance agency you hear advertised on the television or the radio. While low rates are certainly important, George White's commitment runs much deeper. He will work diligently to provide you a Texas auto insurance quote that takes into account your individual needs, now and in the future. This detailed, comprehensive approach is, quite simply, what separates the George White Insurance Agency from other auto insurance agents.

George White personally has over twenty five years experience in all facets of the Texas property and casualty insurance industry, including three years in underwriting, two in finance, one year in the comptrollers office, and four years in claims evaluation as a licensed examiner. This has given George White a broad understanding of all aspects of the insurance industry and the many complex perspectives that are involved. He will work to provide you with the best Texas auto insurance quote available to him, whatever your situation. George White will be the first to admit, however, that the companies he represents may not necessarily have the best products and rates for your individual needs. Should this be the case, George White will provide you his expert assistance by suggesting alternatives that are most likely to benefit you.

Whether the George White Insurance Agency is able to provide you auto insurance coverage, or simply point you in the right direction, the commitment of this company far exceeds most expectations. George White's objective is not only to provide you the best auto insurance rates and the most comprehensive coverage today, but also to advise you on how to structure your insurance habits in such a way that your rates do not increase in the future. Again, this is especially important for those seeking Texas auto insurance in Houston or other metropolitan areas, where the high incidents of traffic accidents and population growth have made rates extremely volatile.

Simply a phone call or email to George White Insurance Agency will allow you to interact directly with the agent. George White can provide you with a wealth of information regarding, not only Texas auto insurance, but also your property, commercial and financial insurance needs--should you desire. We realize commercial insurance is many times complicated by insurance jargon that creates confusion for individuals who are otherwise experts in their own fields. We will not allow that to happen at Texas Auto Home Insurance. George White and his helpful staff are eager to discuss your situation in detail and ensure that you receive the best possible coverage at the lowest rates. George White is convinced that Texans deserve service of this magnitude. This distinction will become clear once you contact us.<bio>Texas Auto Insurance.
Are you in the process of planning a trip to Big Island? Big Island is a popular Hawaiian vacation destination, as there is so much for you to do and see. When it comes time for you to plan your next Big Island vacation, you will have a number of decisions to make. One of those decisions involves your overnight accommodations.

As you likely already know, you have a number of different options, when it comes to staying on Big Island. Although you may enjoy staying at a hotel or a vacation resort, you are urged to take the time to examine vacation rentals, as they come highly rated and recommended. In terms of vacation rentals, you will find that you have a number of different options. For instance, vacation homes, vacation cottages, vacation apartments, villas, and condos are all considered vacation rentals.

Once you have made the decision to book a stay at a Big Island vacation rental, you will have to choose which rental you want to make reservations at. Unfortunately, for many Hawaii vacationers this decision is a lot harder than it looks. One of the many reasons for that is due to your options; you will find that they are unlimited. As you can likely gather from the name, Big Island is Hawaii's largest island. This means that you have a number of vacation rentals to choose from. For assistance with choosing your next Big Island vacation rental, you will want to continue reading on.

When examining Big Island vacation rentals, such as Big Island vacation homes or Big Island villas, you will want to look for one that is conveniently located. For this to happen, you first need to examine your intended Big Island destination, as well as the activities you would like to participate in and the attractions you would like to visit. If you plan to spend your Big Island vacation at the beach, a beachfront rental may be your best option or at least one that is within a close distance to a well-known beach. On the other hand, if your vacation is intended to be a sightseeing vacation, an inland vacation rental may be your best option, and so forth.

It is also advised that you look for Big Island vacation rentals that are within your price range. Even if you are not on a budget, you may want to examine rentals that are affordable in price. When you save money on your overnight accommodations, you are able to splurge in other areas, such as entertainment. When considering cost, it is important that you examine the size, location, and features of all Big Island vacation rentals. Generally speaking, beachfront vacation rentals, those large in size, and those stocked with great features are higher in price.

Speaking of features, it is important that you thoroughly examine all Big Island vacation rental features. When examining Big Island vacation rental features, it is important that you examine your wants and your needs. For instance, if you want to have access to a pool or a hot tub, you are urged to find vacation rentals that include them. It is also important that you examine features that you can benefit from, such as fully furnished kitchens, namely those with dishwashers, laundry rooms, and so forth.

It is also advised that you look for Big Island vacation rentals that are appealing. That is why it is important that you examine all pictures. As previously stated, Big Island has a large number of vacation rentals for you to choose from. With that in mind, it is important to remember that not all rentals are the same. Just because a vacation rental looks good from the outside or looks good based on the description, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is Big Island vacation rental pictures are the best way to ensure that your vacation rental is everything that you wanted it to be.

When looking for a Big Island vacation rental, the above mentioned points are just a few of the many points that you will want to take into consideration.
Kitchen islands can often look as simple as a kitchen table. That being said, they offer more than a table can. The most basic kitchen island can make your time in the kitchen easier. You can use the islands for keeping your kitchen organized with the extra cupboards and drawers. Some of the islands can also hold pots and pans so they are readily available when you are preparing food.

Frequently people design their kitchen around the island. Adding an island to your kitchen can amazingly make your design more attractive. There are things to think about before purchasing one, though. Kitchen islands come in different sizes. You have to find the right size for your kitchen. If you do not know for sure what size you should get, take a few cardboard boxes and stack them in the area. Walk around them and imagine it were the island.

There are a few things to think about when determining what would be right in your kitchen.

* Would there be enough space to walk around the island? * Is it comfortable for you to move around the island? * Can you open cupboards and drawers in the area the island is located?

Once you have a good feel of where the island will be going, measure the boxes to get the right size you will want to purchase.

The fun part is finding the right kitchen island design. There are many designs to choose from. When searching for the perfect island, remember the kitchen items you commonly use. If you like to spice up your foods, perhaps an island with a built-in spice rack will be convenient for you. Instead of using all of the kitchens counter space you can find the right island that will store many different items.

Many islands offer spaces such as caddies to store knives and other cooking tools. Drawers and cupboards are common and vary in size and quantity. If you have guests over for brunch, there are islands available that include a breakfast bar. Just add stools and serve your pancakes. When not using the bar, it easily folds down. If someone spills some syrup on themselves they will not be sticky for long because a lot of islands have paper towel bars so you have easy access with your need it. Some kitchen islands even offer wine storage for your convenience.

Many kitchen islands come with a hardwood top. They have a food-safe oil finish.

Other islands have a stainless steel surface which is ideal for food preparation because it is easy to clean and sanitize.

There are many kitchen island designs to choose from. There is something to please anyone. Before searching, make a list of what you are looking for in an island. Do you want room for your mixing bowls? Do you want an open shelf to have quick access to your pans? Once you know what you are looking for, it will make it easier to find.
Have you recently made the decision to stay at a Big Island condo, while on a Hawaiian vacation? If so, have you made your reservations yet? If you have yet to make your Big Island condo reservations and your vacation is quickly approaching, you will want to make your reservations soon. In fact, when renting a Big Island vacation condo, there are a number of benefits to booking your vacation reservations in advance.

Perhaps, the greatest benefit of booking your Big Island vacation condo reservations in advance is that you will be able to get a reservation. While there are always enough Big Island vacation condos to go around, you will find that they are quite popular in Hawaii, namely on Big Island. For that reason, especially around the summer months, Big Island vacation condos tend to quickly fill up with reservations. Making your reservation ahead of time, at least three or four months in advance, will help to ensure that you are able to book a stay at a Big Island vacation condo.

In addition to booking a stay at any Big Island condo, booking your reservations in advance will help to ensure that you are getting the condo of your dreams or your first choice condo. As previously mentioned, Big Island condos are popular among tourists; therefore, they tend to fill up with reservations during popular vacation times. If you are looking for something in particular, such as an oceanfront condo or a condo that can house a large traveling party, it is advised that you make your reservations in advance. When looking for something particular, it is advised that you book your reservations around five or six months in advance. Doing so will help to ensure that you do not get stuck with any Big Island condo, but the condo of your dreams.

Another benefit to booking a stay at a Big Island condo early is the amount of money that you may be able to save. Although it is not always the case, there are a number of condo owners who have been known to increase their rental costs during popular vacation seasons, as well at the last minute. By booking your Big Island condo reservations early, you may be able to save yourself a decent amount of money. In fact, if you are looking to save yourself even more money, you may want to think about trying to find a vacation package that includes a stay at a Big Island condo.

As you can see, there are a number of benefits to booking your Big Island condo stay in advance. It was previously mentioned for traditional condos, you should make your reservations around three to four months early and if you are looking for something in particular, five or six months may be best. Of course, it is important to remember that different individuals interpret early in different ways. Despite the different interpretations of early, it is best that you use your best judgment, when booking a stay at a Big Island vacation condo. For instance, if you have your heart set on a particular oceanfront condo, you are advised to make your reservations as soon as you can. Not doing so may mean that someone else gets the condo of your choice. Although not having your first choice condo will not necessarily ruin your vacation, it could have an impact on the overall outcome of it.

When it comes time to make your Big Island condo reservations, you will find that you have a number of different options. Those options include travel agents, booking your reservations directly, and online travel websites. When it comes to Big Island condos, a large number of vacationers choose to make their reservations through an online travel website and you can too. <bio> http://www.hawaiianbeachrentals.com/Hawaii/BigIsland/rentals1.htm are rapidly increasing in popularity.
To say that North Island is one of the forty granitic islands of the Seychelles, which are located around the two main islands of Mahé and Praslin gives you the reader no idea of what awaits you if you choose the North Island Lodge as your holiday destination.

North Island was until recently uninhabited, and the new owners came up with a concept that involves reintroducing almost extinct species of wildlife to the island, to make it the way it was two hundred years ago.

One of the endangered species introduced has been a few very privileged human beings!! A few because North Island Lodge is very expensive, very exclusive, very romantic, and very special, and therefore only for the very few.

North Island is definitely for those who seek an unspoiled tropical haven of peace and tranquility. and is quite open about being aimed at the top end of the market, providing the very best in privacy, location, accommodation, services and facilities to the most discerning and privileged world travelers.

There are only 12 guest villas, with staff who will go to every length to pamper you, and enable you to relax and unwind.

The villa we stayed in was very spacious, very private, with a private pool and a giant circular day bed to lie around on, it had a name which I can't remember.

The room attendant was there when we wanted him and then magically disappeared when he wasn't needed, except we didn't have to tell him that!! He kept everything immaculate, and seemed to learn very quickly what we wanted in our freezer.

We are very much 'foodies' and that part of our stay deserved especial praise. Everything was fresh, from the fruit in our cocktails to the fish

We liked the dining area, which was wide open, and yet somehow private.

There was so much space between tables you always felt as if you were alone, even if the dining area was packed out with four other tables occupied!!

Don't be shy to ask for particular favourites, your requests will be cheerfully met, and carried out quickly and efficiently.

If you wantto see photographs of this barefoot paradise go to http://www.worldwidevacationspots.com/articles/18/1/North-Island-Lodge-North-Island-Seychelles/Page1.html

Two final things, although you would feel this is an island for couples, children are genuinely welcomed, and very well entertained, to the extent they were definitely seen but not heard!! In fact the activity options which include sailing, hiking, mountain biking, and massages, were more than enough to keep us occupied between meals!!

If you can afford it, and it isn't cheap you need to go to North Island Lodge <bio>Lucy Tucker writes for http://www.worldwidevacationspots.com and her advice is for you to look at it to, if you like exotic vacation destinations </bio>
