Paint sprayers make the job easier and faster!

Pity our pioneer forefathers, who had to paint barns and houses the labor-intensive old-fashioned way. Nowadays we have paint sprayers to do the big jobs for us. Paint sprayers make painting a large surface much easier and faster than with a brush or even a roller. What's more, paint sprayers are less tiring and actually do a better job than brushes, giving a smoother finish than you could get doing it by hand.

As with any other home-improvement project, your first step is to get the right tools for the job you're doing. Paint sprayers differ in their functions and specialties, so you must first match up the equipment with the project.

For staining or waterproofing jobs, you'll want an airless sprayer. For paint jobs, your options vary.

An airless spray paint roller functions the same as a traditional paint roller, with the advantage of not having to keep refilling your tray. Use it for jobs that would normally require a paint roller.

A diaphragm paint sprayer can work with a five-gallon bucket of paint. It should be used for very large jobs, then, such as exterior walls or entire rooms.

For more ordinary jobs such as single walls or small rooms, a high-volume low-pressure sprayer is probably your best bet. They are sold in the usual home-improvement do-it-yourself centers. Being low-pressure is good because it helps prevent paint splashes.

Before buying a paint sprayer, know the type of job you'll be using it for. Ask the salesperson for advice on buying the right equipment. Consider also whether you'll be doing enough paint work to justify buying a sprayer. The old-fashioned way is a good physical workout and is much cheaper. But if the job is big enough to warrant extra equipment, you'll find a sprayer an incredible saver or time and energy. <bio>Milton Felton writes for http://www.paintsprayerworld.com, a website packed with information on airless paint sprayers and graco paint sprayers </bio>

Radio controlled hobby cars are just like the real, life-size ones; they need regular check up, cleaning and tuning and an overall proper maintenance to guarantee good performance while on the tracks or whenever it is used.

You can simply use a denatured alcohol in cleaning your RC car(s) but be sure that it doesn't get to any of the electronic parts of your car since this type of alcohol has a very strong solution which may be enough to damage parts of it. But if you want to go beyond just by using denatured alcohol, you can try other products that may give you benefit though can also leave you spending more than the allotted budget.

There are still more options which you can take though so you don't have to be stuck on spending a lot on solutions you wouldn't be needing everyday. An alcohol and a bottle spray can do the trick. Air compressors are also great tools for cleaning your RC car. The thing with air compressors is that it blows off air to the RC car but it doesn't do the entire maintenance needed for your car. If you don't have an air compressor yet, better save up for it because it could cost around $65 =96 69 as the market price. But if you already have one, then, better.

A combination of a green alcohol solution and an ordinary rubbing alcohol with the aid of an engine cleaning tool can help with the maintenance of your RC car. As for engine sprayers, all you need is simple green solution, water and a small amount of alcohol. Keep the proportion 5:1 for the simple green to water. The idea while you use an engine cleaner is to make sure that the sprayer targets the area with bearings and the bearings to the wheels.

Make sure also that you don't spray much of the solution to the car to avoid damage on the electronic parts. You can do this and even conserve the use of the cleaning solution by allowing very little solution to come out of the sprayer. <bio>http://racing-radio-controlled-cars.com is a perfect site in the internet which contains all the free stuff about fly fishing. </bio>

Kitchen faucets are basically designed and made in three styles. The first style is a two-handle centerset which can be usually seen in the bathroom, this faucet combines the spout and valves on one base unit. While the single-handle kitchen faucets, standard for both the kitchens and baths, are actually centersets which control the hot and cold water through a knob or lever that is part of the spout. The third faucet style is the widespread faucet where the hot-water valve and cold-water valve as well as the spout are all installed or mounted separately.

When choosing or buying the right kitchen faucet, you need to think about your budget, the sink and your preference. You need to consider your kitchen sinks because these may have a single hole meant only for the single-handle kitchen faucets or have holes that are drilled for 8-inch centers. If you have a bathroom vanity or a pedestal sink then you are in luck because you can choose from a single-lever, centersets or a widespread kitchen faucet.

You also need to know about the sink or countertop's hole configuration before you buy a faucet. This is because if you would like to have a sprayer, a soap dispenser, or a hot water spout or anything similar then your sink should have holes that will accommodate these features.

The single-control faucet is currently the most popular type. This faucet is very easy to use in the bathroom and can match most contemporary kitchen sink style, on one hand, the widespread may give you more flexible placements but you may need to pay extra for widespread styling.

In a nutshell the things you need to consider before purchasing kitchen faucets are the number of holes in your sinks. Keep in mind that one-piece faucets, where the handle and spout are combined only need a single hole for the handle/spout piece while for the sprayer there should be a separate hole. The traditional kitchen faucets that include hot and cold taps need a separate hole for each taps and spout as well as for the sprayer, now, that's a total of 4 holes. If you have other preferences such as an integrated sprayer or a soap dispenser, these may give you other requirements so you have to be certain about what you need from your kitchen faucet.

Another consideration is the kind of handle that you would like for your kitchen faucets. The common kitchen faucet has either one or two handles for dispensing water. One handle can rotate directionally so that you can adjust the water temperature while the two handles are used for mixing cold and hot water.

A single-piece faucet may have a handle that's connected to the kitchen faucet unit or a handle that is located to the side where the standard sprayer should be. But if you prefer a faucet that is easy to manipulate or control then you should pick the lever taps. These taps fit in with most sinks and have a universal design.<bio>Richard Dinae is an architect, providing information and directories about home improvement, please visit Kitchen Faucets</bio>

It is easy to carry and easy to learn to use. You will find it packaged in four types of sprayers, named for the spray pattern each uses to disperse its contents. The four types are, broken stream, forced cone, fogger, and foam. Each has its advantages and disadvantages for different situations.

The broken stream sprayer is probably the best choice against attempted carjacking, against multiple attackers, and at greater distances. This type of sprayer delivers a stream of pepper spray similar to that of a water gun, heavier droplets, but fewer of them than in other types of sprayers. Chances of a hit on multiple targets is better. You can change direction of the spray quickly and still not lose much range. By fanning the stream across an arc at eye level you can cover a wide area with sufficient spray to deter an attack. The main disadvantage is that the spray is dispersed heavily and you will run out faster. At the same time, however, targets that are hit are hit with plenty of pepper. You can expect maximum range and effect from this type of sprayer.

The forced cone sprayer is the most popular. It may be the best option for general use. The spray is a finer mist than the broken stream but is delivered in a forceful stream never the less. The spray pattern is circular and covers approximately the size of a human head at a range of about 4 to 6 feet. Total range may be a bit less than with a broken stream sprayer, but you can still expect good effect at distances under 12 feet. The fineness of the droplets allows them to penetrate the skin and mucous membranes almost instantly. The eyes will shut tight and fast, if the slightest amount of spray is inhaled, it will cause instant choking and uncontrollable coughing.

A fogger type spray has finer droplets still than the forced cone and disperses wider. It is most effective in covering a larger area with pepper spray quickly. Aim is less critical. Consider it for dealing with multiple attackers, crowd control, bears, or to defend the home. A pepper spray fogger can make a hallway uninhabitable in short order. The disadvantage of this type of sprayer is that it is the most vulnerable to wind dispersion and blow back.

Blow back is most likely outdoors, but even then, the force with which the spray is dispersed is considerable. The attacker will always receive the majority of the spray even in windy conditions. Spray from a fogger style sprayer is the fastest acting of your choices.

The fourth type of sprayer is actually describes the type of spray. It is the foam sprayer. Rather than dispersing pepper in a fine mist or heavy stream this product uses a thick, heavy foam to carry the effective ingredients. For those concerned about pepper spray being blown off target or back at them, the foam sprayer may be the best choice. The wind has the least effect on this type of spray. Foam pepper spray piles up on the target as well. It accumulates, rather than running off and is practically impossible to wipe off without assistance. The effects are instantaneously debilitating and get worse as the target tries rubs the foam into his skin trying to remove it.

No matter which type of spray you choose be sure to know how it works and how to use it. And most importantly PRACTICE with it. Pepper spray is not expensive. Buy a few extras and practice spraying your shrubbery or fence to familiarize yourself with your sprayer. Knowing how to use your pepper sprayer will greatly increase your chances of escaping any situation where you may have to use it.<bio>Xavier Tico is a retired security consultant.
As days go by, automobiles play an integral part in the lives of so many people. Almost everyday, they use cars to accomplish their various needs especially in terms of traveling. However, upon waking up some day, they may find these precious things greatly affected by wear-and-tear caused by certain underlying factors such as weather changes, accidental bumps, and scratches. To restore the beauty and glow of cars, a simple car painting process can get the job done.

The most important materials required in this simple car painting process are sandpaper, soap and water, and black enamel paint. Additionally, a wax stripper or any kind of degreaser is also necessary to attain that perfect car painting result. Body putty, wire, and clear coat paint also serve specific purposes, and so do a masking tape and a paint primer. Before starting, an ample amount of plastic is necessary to cover all the windows of the car. Lastly, a urethane-based paint of a desired color is also essential for that all-important final coating.

To facilitate the car painting process, some important tools can really help such as garden hose, paint sprayer, and rags. In terms of location, an enclosed room like a garage can complement the procedure, which is divided into two phases namely the pre-painting and the actual painting.

The Pre-Painting Phase:
1. To prepare a car for some really good painting, it is necessary to clean it thoroughly, removing all the dirt, grease, and wax in the process. Before starting, every surface must be absolutely clean. A garden hose can facilitate the attainment of this simple step.

2. For the paint to attain that perfect glow, the surface must be smooth. Use a sandpaper to level out and remove rough portions, scratches, and rust.

3. Use the wire to ground the car in order for the static dust to stop attracting more dust.

4. Wipe off any dirt, ensuring that the car is completely clean before starting the painting process.

5. Use the plastic to protect the windows from getting any of the paint. A masking tape is enough to keep the plastic in position. For portions of the car that needs no painting, cover them as well to protect from the paint.

6. If there are holes or uneven surfaces, simply apply some putty to level them out and create a smooth look all over.

7. Wait until the putty dries off totally, and prepare for the actual painting phase.

The Actual Painting Phase:
1. After all the preparations, it is now time to actually paint the car by loading the primer into the paint sprayer, and then spray it all over the surface of the automobile. After use, clean the sprayer very well in preparation for the second level of coating. Wait for some time until the surface totally dries off before proceeding to the next step.

2. It is now time to put the second coating by loading the black enamel paint into the sprayer, and then spray it evenly all over the surface. Clean the sprayer once again after use then wait for some time for the paint to dry off completely.

3. Use the sandpaper to remove all the rough areas as well as the entire coating of black enamel in preparation for the next step.

4. Reload the sprayer once again, this time using the urethane-based paint of desired color, and then spray it evenly all over the surface. Wait again for some time until the paint dries off.

5. When the last coat is already dry, repeat the last step and then clean the sprayer once again.

6. After the second coat of the urethane-based paint dries off, reload the clear coat paint into the sprayer, and then spray it all over the surface of the car. Wait for some time until the paint dries off completely.

7. Repeat the last step for two more times and then move on to clean the sprayer after use.

8. After the final coating is finally over, give it some time for at least overnight to dry off perfectly. For additional designs, this is the perfect time to put them.

9. After placing all the desired designs, take off the plastic as well as the masking tape. Clean off everything else and you are ready to go with a brand new looking car.<bio>John Grant is a the author for a how to site where he is writing articles about how to paint a car.</bio>

In the whole spectrum of promotional gifts, few things are more practical than bags. Everybody can use a bag to carry and store things. But "bags" is a huge category of items, and if you wish to pursue bags as a promotional item, you will want to narrow down exactly what kind of bag you want to offer, and what you hope for it to do for your employees or customers. That's why you should consider using bottle bags. Even bottle bags could give you several different choices, but it gives you a place to begin looking for something practical, convenient, and useful to your clients.

One popular kind of promotional bottle bags is the sports bag that comes with a water bottle holder. The bag is roomy enough to fill with gym clothes or sports equipment, and has a place for a water bottle on the outside of the bag. In this way, an athlete can reach down and grab his or her water without having to rummage through a bag full of gym clothes. Some larger duffel bags also have this feature of the water bottle holder on the outside, meaning they could also be called bottle bags.

Insulated lunch bags also come with bottles for water or other drinks. These promotional bottle bags have your imprint across both the lunch bag and the water bottle, and come in handy for both school and work. If you have a large population of students in your area, you could easily order these bottle bags in school colours and offer them as gifts. Your potential customers will see your imprint every time they go to eat a lunch or take a drink.

Another beautiful type of bottle bag is a wine bottle bag. These promotional bottle bags come in many different styles, but each of them can be made with your logo tastefully displayed on the front. Paper bags can be brightly or elegantly decorated to reflect the wine gift on the inside. Woven, canvas, natural fibre or knit bags can be used again and again by the person who gets them, with your logo part of it every time. There are double or triple wine bottle bags for sets of wine or wine accompanied by wine glasses, and insulated bottle bags for keeping wine chilled on your way to a party. Wine bottle bags can also be made of bamboo for a beautiful, durable, and biodegradable gift. You can even get a six bottle wine bottle bag that is constructed as a tote bag on wheels for easy transporting.

Some promotional bottle bags don't fall into any of the above categories. There are promotional bottle bags that allow you to carry your bottle of water across your shoulder when you hike or ride your bike. Some promotional bottle bags are like backpacks, but still keep your drink safe. Some are even shaped like t-shirts or have zippers up the size for easy removal of your drink. Whatever their form, bottle bags are a popular and useful gift for which your customers will thank you.<bio>Matt Franks is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of promotional bottle bags and other Promotional Products at www.fluidbranding.com. Apple cider vinegar works by killing off the fungus that cause all those nasty white flakes that break out on your scalp.

Use this in conjunction with a regular shampoo - any gentle, PH balanced shampoo will be fine. Ideally the more natural this shampoo is, the better.

Mix together two parts of apple cider vinegar to one part warm water. If you don't like the cidery smell, add a few drops of essential oils to mask the vinegar smell.

Do this mixing first, then once you've shampooed, pour it over your hair. Or, if you prefer more control over the application, put it in a sprayer bottle and spray it on your hair. Massage the mixture into your scalp. Leave it to dry. There's no need to rinse it out. Indeed, the remedy will likely be more effective if you don't rinse but if the smell bugs you too much then feel free to rinse it out after an hour or so.

2. Fenugreek Seeds

This one needs a bit more advance preparation but nothing too complicated - just mainly time. Soak a few tablespoons of fenugreek seeds overnight in a bowl of water. Next day, grind the seeds into a paste - a regular food blender works fine for this. Once you've got your paste, massage it into your scalp and leave it there for about an hour before rinsing the mixture out.

3. Teatree Oil

You've probably seen this as an ingredient in various shampoos but you can also buy the oil separately. Teatree oil is a natural form of antiseptic, which is why it works for this treatment. Pour off some of your regular shampoo and add a few tablespoons of teatree oil into the bottle in the space you've just created. Then mix well before applying your shampoo as normal. You'll need to remember to shake your shampoo bottle before each use if the oil doesn't fully mix. Experiment with different brands if necessary and use a clear bottle to remind you to do this.

4. De-stress your life

Dandruff can often be our body's way of telling us that there is too much stress in our life. Find ways to cut down the amount of stress you're exposed to. You can do this by taking up a relaxation method such as yoga or meditation. Or it could even be as simple as changing your routine slightly so that your drive to work isn't a nose to tail traffic jam. You'll likely know what stresses you out in your life. Taking steps to reduce this stress will help you in more ways than just your dandruff infested hair. <bio>Get more tips on how to get rid of dandruff and start to lead a life free from your embarrassing white flakes. They come in different styles

When a company wants to buy printed bottle bags for their company, they will find that there are different ones to choose from. They make a nice presentation

Instead of sending someone a bottle of wine wrapped in one of those bags from the store, why not really make a good impression by putting it in one of your company's printed bottle bags?
If you have carpet you will no doubt have an occasion to do some spot cleaning. But do you really know how to spot clean your homes carpet? It sounds simple but there are some things that you need to know in order to successfully spot clean. Read this article and you will be a carpet cleaning professional in no time.

The first thing you need to realize is that their is a difference between a spot and a stain. A spot is soil that is clinging to the carpet fiber and can be removed with a cleaner. A stain is something that can not be removed with basic cleaning. Examples of stains might include furniture stains or kool aid stains. If a spot does not react to spot cleaning it is actually a stain and you will need to call a professional in to take care of it. Do not waste your time or make the stain worse by working on it more. Now that this is out of the way lets move on to what you need. There are basically three things you need. You need a bottle of general spotter, a bottle of vinegar and water and some terry cloth towels. The general spotter should be one commercially available that says that it is safe on stain resistant carpet. The vinegar and water bottle should be a trigger sprayer filled with a mixture of one part white distilled vinegar and three parts water. Finally the towels should be 100% cotton terry cloth towels available in the cleaning section of most home improvement stores. Now that you have purchased everything you should keep them in one convenient location so that hey are ready to go in a moments notice. Buy a small bucket or tote and keep it in one place like under the kitchen sink. When you do get a spot, here is what you should do. First, blot up as much of the soil as possible with your terry cloth towels. Then mist on the cleaning solution and allow it to dwell for a moment. Blot up this solution with the towel being careful to blot and not rub. Work from the outside in to avoid spreading the spot. You might have to repeat this step so repeat it until no more soil transfers to the rag. Now spray the vinegar solution onto the spot and allow it to dwell. Blot it up and once again repeat until no more soil transfers. The vinegar solution will neutralize the other spotter and will remove additional soil. Let the spot completely dry before putting it back to use. If any of the spot remains you should call a local carpet cleaner but most spots will respond well to a basic cleaner and the vinegar cleaner.

I hope this article has been of assistance to you. If you need further help be sure to call your local carpet cleaner. They have the experience to handle advanced spotting and stain problems. Good luck. <bio>Learn more tips on this at http://www.inglewoodcarpetcleaning.info , a carpet cleaners website. </bio>

Aside from the brief mention here and there with regards to the Wine Bug or Bugus Erectus, very little mention has been made as to how versatile a wine holder or wine caddy really can be! At the risk of sounding like an infomercial, I would like to point out why I love wine holders and wine caddies.

A wine holder is a great way to display that single bottle of wine that you want to set apart from the rest of your collection. Maybe you have a bottle of wine that you bought while on your honeymoon in France, or maybe it's just a bottle from the market, which you think is fabulous, either way wine bottle holders are a better option to simply standing it on the counter. We all know that bottles should not be stood up because the cork can dry out and spoil the wine, so not only does a wine holder display you favourite bottle, but it also does this the correct way!

Some wine holders also double as a wine server, which makes it even more appealing. Aside from just showing off a bottle of wine, wine servers also are a great way to serve that Chardonnay or Merlot at a dinner party. From traditional to a little more eccentric, wine servers are always a conversation piece as well as a fantastic method for displaying and serving wine.

How often have you been invited to dinner and showed up with a bottle of wine in a plastic supermarket shopping bag or a brown paper sack from the liquor store? I know I have done it many times, and always feel a little awkward showing up at a nice dinner with the bottle in a brown bag that makes you look like a bum. Enter the wine caddy! Able to hold from one bottle to a few, a wine caddy is, in my humble opinion, a much better way of transporting wine. Some even hold wine glasses, which is perfect if you are looking to have a lovely picnic in the park (be aware of public drinking laws before doing this, while it might be acceptable in some places, others you could get arrested).

So this is why I love the wine caddy and the wine holder! So many styles and so many uses, I only wish I had written about them sooner! <bio>Ken Finnigan is the CEO of http://www.finestwineracks.com a website specializing in quality decorative wine racks and durable wine storage systems. </bio>

Wine is composed of unmodified grape juice which was fermented to create an alcoholic drink that many people enjoy the world over. In many countries, dinner or even lunch is not complete without a bottle of wine. Celebrations often require a bottle of wine and this is accompanied by cheers and saluts.

Generally, there are two types of wines; the red wine and the white wine. Both wines are made from grapes, although, different varieties of grapes and both are also fermented to create the wine. The two types of wines also have several kinds of wines. As such, they are usually named after the region they come from in the world or the type of grape used to make the bottle of wine. There are also several other kinds of wines other than the red and the white but these two are the more common.

Composition of a Bottle of Wine

A bottle of wine is primarily composed of grape juice. The grapes made into wine are the key factors to the taste of the beverage. These grapes are usually from the European grapes species. The location of the vineyard and the climate in the specific location has a lot to do with the taste of the wine. This is what is called the terroir and it plays a big role on the quality of the wine.

Yeast is also added to the wine composition to ferment the grape juice. The fermentation may take a few months to achieve the right flavor f the wine. Water is also one of the main components of a bottle of wine and definitely the most abundant component in it. Alcohol also comprises wine and the alcohol content depends on what kind of wine we are talking about.

The Uses of Wine

A bottle of wine is commonly used for drinking, of course. It is also used in liturgical events or other religious based events. Many use wine to celebrate victories and to drown out defeats. A bottle of wine can also be used in cooking, baking and to create cuisine around the world. It is usually used to flavor stocks (beef, chicken etc) or braising the food.

A bottle of wine can also be used to relax the body; as such it has gained a reputation of being medicinal and an aphrodisiac. Some researchers have stated that re wine may be more beneficial for preventing cancer compared to white because red wine contains more poyphenols. <bio>http://www.about-wine-making.info </bio>

Normally a wedding invitation is regarded as an invitation card, which is a printed material. And designers are usually working at the graphics on the card. However, there is a possibility that we treat the wedding invitation as a three dimensional product so that it will no longer be a flat sheet of paper.

On of the ideas of this kind of three dimensional wedding invitation is a glass bottle invitation. This notion of glass bottle in fact perfectly fits a beach wedding theme. You can put some sand from the beach you are going to hold your wedding into the bottle. Other ingredients such as small shells can also be used to decorate your glass bottle invitation. In this case you will only need to print a simple piece of paper containing the details of your wedding. This piece of information paper should not be a fancy one otherwise it may overwhelm the power of the glass bottle, in terms of design.

Another interesting application of the idea of glass bottle invitation is that you can express every detail in your lives using the bottle. For example, if you are going to invite 300 guests. You can start collecting bottles 300 days before you send the wedding invitation. In a morning you keep the glass bottle of milk for your breakfast. The other day you may keep another bottle when you finish a bottle of red wine.

After you have collected all these bottles, you can print the information of your wedding on pieces of elegant paper and put them in the bottles. Every guest will be receiving a different bottle. And each bottle signifies your lives within these 300 days before your wedding.

If you are going to adapt this idea of glass bottle wedding invitation, you have to think of some practical issues. Firstly a glass bottle can be a lot heavier than a normal invitation card, this may make the postage cost higher than you expect. You should ask for the rates of postage well before you make the decision.

Besides, there is no doubt that glass products are something that can be easily broken. You will need to pay extra attention to the package of the invitation before mailing them out. It will be a pity if any of your guests receive some broken bottles. Of course there will be less problematic if you are going to send the invitations to most of your guests personally but that will certainly take you some time and money to do that.

If you would like to ease the problem of broken glass bottles, you may also consider using plastic bottle as substitutes. Some companies offer such bottles with a lower price than glass bottles. You can certainly save some money by using plastic bottles. It is on one hand cheaper than glass bottles and on the other hand lighter so that the cost of postage will be lower. However, if budget is not a problem to you, I will still suggest you to use glass bottles since the texture of a glass bottle is a lot different from a plastic one. <bio>TM Lung is a wedding invitation designer.
The most common use for bottle stoppers is to seal up a bottle of wine after it has been open, but not emptied. Since wine is usually associated with elegance and success, these are classy and generous promotional items to give to valuable clients, employees, or business associates. One of the most pleasant benefits of promotional bottle stoppers is that they are often made not en masse, but by craftspeople who specialize in this area of creativity, so these gifts can be high quality, thoughtful, and unique.

Wine bottle stoppers are made of a base and a top. The base is usually either cork or a malleable plastic, either of which can conform to the shape of the mouth of the wine bottle. This seals in the wine to keep it from spilling, and it seals out the air, to keep the wine from going stale.

The tops of the promotional bottle stoppers can be in almost any shape or design. They can come in any colour with printing of any font or design to match the elegance of the wine bottle. One common design is a simple circle with a flat surface, which is ideal for printing a logo or brand name. Of course, instead of a circular top, you might find any other shape, from squares and triangles to custom-designed shapes like houses, hearts, or cars. The tops of bottle stoppers can also be designed to be three dimensional, in the shape of something that pertains to your business. It could simply be an elegantly shaped design that complements your logo, or it could be in the shape of your logo itself. It could be grapes or other earth-related themes, a bouquet of flowers, or an attractively carved animal. Whatever the design of your bottle stopper, it can reflect the company that so generously gave it.

Promotional bottle stoppers can also be given as part of a gift package. Wine baskets or kits are very popular among executives and high level clients. The wine labels can bear your logo instead of that of the vineyard, and other elements like corkscrews, customized glasses and towels can be included along with your uniquely crafted bottle stopper, and presented in personalized baskets, cases, or bottle bags. Wine and wine accessories always make suitable gifts that everyone appreciates.

Of course, promotional bottle stoppers are not only for wine bottles. You can get a whole range of promotional, personalized bottle stoppers for two-litre soda bottles or for liquor bottles. The ones designed for soda bottles are handy because if soda is left unsealed for even a short amount of time it can go flat, and bottle stoppers can keep that from happening. Bottle stoppers that are designed for liquor bottles can be ideal for restaurants, clubs, or those with personal home bars.

Promotional bottle stoppers are excellent gifts for their usefulness, practicality, uniqueness and beauty. Anyone who receives one of these will think of your business with pleasure.<bio>Matt Franks is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of promotional bottle stoppers and other Promotional Products at www.fluidbranding.com.
For a very long time, cork was the preferred method to seal a bottle of wine. There has been much debate over the past few years as to what the best method is for sealing off a bottle, cork, plastic cork or screw caps.

Current estimates predict that roughly 6 percent of all wine bottled with a traditional cork will fall victim to TCA (2,4,6-Trichloroanisole), a bacteria that thrives in cork. Some of you might have even had a spoilt bottle of wine and not really noticed it. Even a very small amount of TCA in a bottle of wine can ruin it. Most become aware of TCA in quantities as small as 5 parts per trillion. When TCA is present in quantities high enough to be evident to a person, it comes across as 'musty' aromas and flavors. TCA in wine is not toxic, but the taste and aromas can be quite unsettling.

Another issue that seems to have people leaning away from traditional cork is the fact that cork can dry out and allow air to oxidize a bottle of wine. This can happen if a bottle is not stored correctly. Storing a bottle of wine on its side helps a cork remain moist and a moist cork expands better to seal the inside of the bottle. A dry cork shrinks allowing air to enter spoiling the wine.

Plastic corks have been created to help combat the problems being seen with real cork. Plastic does eliminate the problem of TCA, but plastic corks can have leaky seals which cause oxidation. Personally I have never had a problem with a leaky plastic cork, but it does happen. Another problem with plastic is that they can be very difficult to remove from a bottle compared to cork. Though this is not as detrimental as having a bottle of wine ruined with TCA, it can be very frustrating if you were looking forward to a lovely glass of Chardonnay and the plastic cork won't budge.

In an almost last ditch attempt at preventing wine from spoiling, some wine makers have resorted to screw caps for their bottles of wine. Not nearly as romantic as the popping sound a corked bottle makes, screw caps nonetheless are very effective in preventing wine from spoiling. Most Australian wines are no longer made with cork and have opted for this screw cap method because it's better at maintaining the taste of wine in the way the wine maker intended.

Screw cap bottles of wine are becoming more and more popular, and yes, while they are not as aesthetically pleasing and continue to hold the connotation of a cheap bottle of wine, a greater number of higher quality wines are opting for the screw cap to prevent spoilage. So the next time you are served a bottle of wine with a screw cap, think twice before brushing it off as a cheap wine. <bio>Ken Finnigan is the CEO of http://www.finestwineracks.com a website specializing in quality decorative wine racks and durable wine storage systems. </bio>

If you would like a nice garden, you'll need a bucket of water and some garbage. That simple recipe is all you need to grow healthy, beautiful plants all summer long. But before you start floating a tin can in a some water, you need to know that there is a catch. The trick to this recipe is that you have to compost your garbage first. Compost and water are the only ingredients you need to create a powerful plant supplement known as compost tea.

Compost in the garden will improve your soil which in turn will reward you with strong plants that are better able to fend off droughts and diseases. Compost improves soil structure and drainage. It can also be used as a fertilizer or a mulch and it enhances the soil's ability to absorb water.

Compost tea provides the same benefits to a plant as compost but it doesn't stop there. Not only can compost tea can applied to the soil around plants like regular compost, but it can also be sprayed on the leaves. When sprayed directly on the leaves, it increases the amount of nutrients available to the plant and helps fight foliar diseases. It will even increase the nutritional value and improve the taste of vegetables.

There are many different ways to make compost tea but most recipes can be summarized by saying, if you steep compost in water you get compost tea.

Using rain water is the best way to make compost tea but you can get by with tap water if rain is scarce. Tap water usually contains enough chlorine in it to kill off all of the beneficial bacteria so it's best to let it sit for a few hours before using it.

The quickest and easiest way to make compost tea is with an old sock filled with compost. Throw it in a bucket and let it sit for a day and you've just made compost tea. Sure there are more complicated ways to make the tea more effective such as using air stones or fish tank bubblers to feed the mixture enough oxygen but the old sock in a bucket method works just fine. Some people add molasses to the mix and there are many other secret home recipes. But you'll do fine by using a sock filled with compost and a bucket of water. And actually the sock is optional if you have no plans on using a sprayer.

When applying compost tea with a sprayer you have to worry about clogs. Attach some cheese cloth or a piece of panty hose to the sprayer's intake with some rubber bands and you should be fine.

If you need more than a few buckets of tea, then an old fish tank or a plastic storage bin would make a great container for brewing compost tea.

After you've brewed a few batches and are happy with the results why not try aerated compost tea? You'll need to feed your mixture a constant supply of oxygen so a bubbler or air stones will be required. You need to keep it aerated so it doesn't grow any harmful pathogens. Some popular ingredients to add to bubbling compost tea are alfalfa, fish emulsion, powdered seaweed, corn meal, green sand and more. Don't use manure. Manure tea shouldn't be used as a foliar spray especially if you're growing vegetables and who wants manure floating around in their bucket anyway.

Ask a weekend gardener about compost and chances are they'll tell you it's powerful stuff with a lot of uses. But ask a serious gardener about compost and they'll probably tell you that it's the most important ingredient there is when making compost tea. <bio>Anthony Tripodi is the webmaster of http://WatchItRot.com..
Perfumes have been around for centuries. People extract the oils from plants and animals the mix this with water and alcohol to create the right scent that people will want to wear.

There are many different manufacturers in the world market. Some use the same ingredients while others have certain secrets which helps to differentiate one brand from anotherr.

The most important ingredient in creating your own perfume is the essential oils. Each one has a different chemical composition so those who want to start perfume making have to know the difference between a base, middle, top and bridge notes.

There are books and other related information on the Internet as well as kits that come with an instructional manual and other things inside that will be needed for mixing and storing the finished product.

The first step in perfume making is the combination of the oils. You should first mix a few drops each of the essential oils. It must always have a correct percentage of base, middle and top note.

It may not smell that good yet and that is why the next type of essential oil is needed. This is known as the bridge note that blends everything together to create the perfect scent.

After the essential oils have been mixed, it is the time to pour alcohol into the mixture. Some manufacturers have also used an Everclear beverage that is also works as an alcohol base.

The general rule when combining essential oils with alcohol is that a maximum of 20 drops must be administered for every 4 ml. of alcohol.

The final step in creating your perfume making is to add water. Once again, the vessel containing all the ingredients should be briskly shaken for everything to mix together well.

The perfume should be stored in a coloured bottle to prevent it from being exposure to light. After two days, the contents can then be placed in a sprayer bottle so that it can be used.

You also have the option of storing it for a longer period of time should you wish. It is best to check on the scent from time to time to make sure nothing is amiss. If you are are not satisfied add a little more oil into the fragrance and wait for a few more days for it to settle in.

Those who do this properly will notice that the scent will stay longer on the skin as some will just disappear within a few minutes.

There are various methods in making perfumes and this will really depend on the taste of the person developing it. Those who want it to last longer can pour more of a base essential oil rather than the middle or top. The important thing is that the person should follow the proper steps in making this happen.

A valuable tip when working with essential oils is to keep clear notes on everything. You will surely make some mistakes along the way but reviewing each stage will make it easy to narrow down where the error was committed.

Perfume making is always a lot of fun. There are many different oils and the only way to get it right is through trial and error. <bio>Charlotte has a great site full of tips on discount perfume.
Drinking water bottles are ubiquitous in the U.S. =96 and in many other developed countries as well. Children carry drinking water bottles to school. Parents carry drinking water bottles as they commute to work, children's soccer games, etc. Some people have begun carrying drinking water bottles to church with them. Athletes always seem to have a drinking water bottle with them.

Convenience

A major reason for using drinking water bottles is the convenience they offer. Water can be taken almost anywhere. Drinking water bottles involve little cost, and their loss is not a problem. When they are empty, they need not be carried home. They can simply be placed in a recycle bin or other waste disposal.

What happens, though, when drinking water bottles are not recycled?

The Danger

Disposing of drinking water bottles is the best idea, but many people refill them. If they empty the bottle while jogging, they stop and refill it at a water fountain. If they have a filter at home, they refill drinking water bottles from the filter. At work, they may refill a drinking water bottle from the water cooler. Each time, they may be putting healthy drinking water into the bottle, but is this a safe practice? Or is there danger in refilling disposable drinking water bottles?

The danger is not, as claimed by an old internet urban legend, that the bottles will break down into carcinogenic compounds. That plastic scare originated with the master's thesis of an undergraduate student who did not conduct sufficient scientific study before publishing his thesis. USFDA standards control the type of plastic used for bottled water.

Can plastic drinking water bottles break down? Can plastic leach into the water when you refill them? Possibly. It is said that some bottles, even those approved by the USFDA, do indeed leach into water =96 even before you open the bottle.

Bacteria

Although your plastic drinking water bottles may not break down into cancer-causing compounds, and may not leach plastic into your water, they do contain bacteria. Bacteria can grow and reproduce rapidly in an empty plastic drinking water bottle.

Consider this. Each time you take a drink from that drinking water bottle, you deposit bacteria from your mouth on the rim of the bottle. If you refill the bottle without washing it, you simply flush the bacteria into your water. The problem is compounded if the bottle is empty for a while, and allowed to get warm. Bacteria then have an ideal environment for reproduction.

But They Are MY Bugs

Many (not all) of the bacteria are indeed from your mouth. However, in your system, your body regulates them at reasonable levels. Bacteria in the drinking water bottle are no longer regulated. They can reproduce rapidly. In addition, other germs will enter the bottle from the air, mingling with those from your mouth.

Washing Helps

Washing the bottle thoroughly will destroy most of the bacteria. The bottle must be washed after each use, before refilling. You must wash the neck of the bottle and the entire inside. This means you cannot stop for a refill at the drinking fountain in the park. You cannot refill it at the water cooler and take it back to your desk. The only way to have healthy drinking water is to use drinking water bottles only once, or wash them thoroughly before refilling.

Since very hot water is the best way to get the bottle clean, a dishwasher is recommended. You will have to place the bottle on the top rack, since the plastic is not designed for high temperature. When the wash cycle ends, remove your drinking water bottle immediately before the dry cycle can begin.

FREEZE OUT

Finally, when you take the clean drinking water bottle from your dishwasher, place it into the freezer immediately. This will keep germs from getting into the bottle. It will also keep mold from forming. When you are ready to use it, take the clean drinking water bottle from the freezer, fill, and cap.

Disposable plastic drinking water bottles are convenient, but don't sacrifice your health. <bio>=A92007, Anna Hart.
Don't feel guilty if you have decided to go down the route of bottle feeding. Making the decision to bottle feed is never taken lightly and if you have decided that bottle feeding is the right decision for you and your child than follow your instincts and go for it, don't worry what other people have to say.

In some instances bottle feeding can be better for your newborn than breastfeeding particularly if you are a smoker, drink alcohol of take unprescribed drugs (certain drugs, alcohol and nicotine can be transmitted to your baby through your breast milk). Also, it is better to bottle feed if you are HIV positive or have other serious illnesses such as severe anaemia, turberculosis or kidney disease. If you are taking certain medications you may be advised not to breastfeed your baby.

Bottle feeding formula milk provides all the vitamins a minerals that your baby needs, it's nutritional qualities are close to breast milk and, in most cases, is made from cows milk which has been specially treated to ease digestion.

There are now alternatives to regular formula's (usually soya) specifically designed for lactose intolerant babies or for those babies where there is family history of allergies. If you are bottle feeding only use standard formula unless your doctor has advised otherwise.

It is important to follow all manufacturers' instruction when making up the formula milk. Bottle feeding can cause colic if you make up the formula milk either too weak or too strong or feed your baby milk that is at the wrong temperature.

Buying ready made milk in cartons or bottles is really useful if you are out and about but is a far more expensive way to bottle feed your baby.

You can prepare 24 hours worth of formula in one go and store it in the fridge until required. Dispose of any unused formula after the 24 hour period and never re-use and milk left over after bottle feeding, bacteria love it!

The temperature at which a bottle should be offered to your baby varies from child to child with some babies preferring their milk at room temperature and others preferring their bottle feed warm. To warm the milk just drop the full bottle into a jug of boiling water and then test the temperature against your wrist before bottle feeding your baby.

Some babies need to be persuaded to take the teat and feed so try stroking the teat across your baby's lips which should encourage him to open his mouth and grab hold of the teat.

If you find that your baby is gulping his milk down too fast then you probably need a smaller teat and likewise if your baby is finding bottle feeding really hard work then a larger teat may be required.

One thing that shouldn't need to be said but I will say it anyway is never leave your baby alone to bottle feed, if you need to leave your baby even for a split second take the bottle away. A baby left alone to feed could end up vomiting and choking.

When bottle feeding always tilt the bottle as this will make sure that the teat remains full to prevent air from getting into the teat which can cause wind. If your baby is prone to suffering from wind then try winding half way through feeding and then again at the end of the feed. To wind your baby, lay him across your shoulder of on your lap and rub his back.

It is quite normal for babies to sometimes bring back up small amounts of milk during or after feeding (called possetting) and sometimes babies will bring up the entire content of their stomach in a forceful way which is called projectile vomiting. Possetting is not unusual neither should occasional projectile vomiting be cause for concern but if your baby is throwing up too frequently or forceful vomiting is occurring too often consult your doctor. <bio>Terry Ross is the author for and the creator of: http://www.1st-4-baby.com/Breastfeeding.html, a site dedicated to pregnancy, babies and baby care. </bio>

There are many different types of thermos bottles including those manufactured for extreme temperatures. Perhaps you will be marketing to those that work outside in extremely hot temperatures and so therefore you would be looking to give a branded thermos bottle that is capable of keeping liquids icy cold. Not to mention that there are thermos bottles, specifically designed to hold hot food or cold food as opposed to liquids.

A branded thermos bottle can also be presented to athletes in the form of a funky little water bottle, which has your company name printed onto the side of the bottle. Usually I would just set an open bottle of red wine on the counter for a little while before finally drinking it. However, after having used a wine decanter for the first time, I have decided that I will never go back to the old ways again!

A decanter is a vessel, usually made out of glass or lead crystal which is used to separate sediment from another vessel of liquid, for example red wine. In this process, the sediment is left in a small amount of liquid in the original vessel, and the "clear" liquid remains in the decanter. Decanting red wine, however, serves another purpose along with separation of the wine from the sediment and that is to oxygenate the wine.

Aeration or oxygenation is the process of adding oxygen to a liquid. Why do this? Well it's really quite simple and logical when you think about it. Wine has been sealed in a vacuumed bottle for years therefore oxygenating wine takes the edge off and enhances the aromas and bouquet. As we have learned in previous articles, aroma and bouquets are very important aspects to wine and without them at their full potential a bottle will just not taste as well as it should.

Decanting an old bottle of wine is quite simple if you keep in mind two steps. Firstly, it is important to stand the bottle of wine up for several hours to allow the sediment to settle to the bottom of the bottle. Why several hours? While larger sediment will settle to the bottle quite quickly, finer sediment will take much longer. In a well lit room or using a lamp or candle, slowly begin to pour the wine into the decanter. Once you have roughly one third left in the bottle begin to look at the neck of the bottle for the sediment. Place the candle or lamp near the neck of the bottle and once you begin to see sediment in the neck of the bottle, stop pouring. The wine in your decanter should now be sediment free!

Some people say that it is not necessary to decant your everyday bottle of red wine. While this might be true, I have found that there is no harm done in decanting anyway. There might not be as much sediment in the bottle to separate or any at all, but the aeration will still do wonders for the flavour and aromas. The best way to decant a young bottle of wine is to splash it into the decanter so that as much of the wine comes in contact with oxygen as possible. Let the decanter sit for a moment to rest before serving.

So next time you think you will want some red wine with dinner, remember that while decanting is easy, it necessary to begin the decanting process several hours before to ensure you achieve the best aromas from the wine for consumption with your meal. <bio>Finest Wine Racks is a major supplier of a variety of wine racks including wood wine racks, metal wine racks, http://www.finestwineracks.com/counter-top-wine-racks-c-30_26.html, floor standing wine racks and wine storage systems.
