Over the centuries Christianity has grown immensely in popularity. I feel that why this has come to pass is because it is the only religious doctrine that is based solely on us praying in the name of Jesus to God to ask forgiveness for our sins, and forgiveness being granted by God. In John 14:5-6 (NKJV) Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." These two passages clearly instruct each of us to ask forgiveness of our sins in Jesus name.

Our Father in Heaven knew that no matter how hard mankind tried, because of our imperfections, we would always be sinners; and sinners are not permitted to enter His kingdom in heaven. In the Old Testament we can read how mankind, in general, kept falling short of God's commandments, and how even when led by Moses, the people had weak days and could not sustain these commandments of the Living God on a continual basis. My conception of the Old Testament and other major religions portray to me that they are works based. God bridged this gap from the works based type in one sole act. He sent forth to earth His Son for all of mankind. This is best summarized by Jesus' disciple John in the New Testament; John 3:16 (KJV) which says, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." This is also reinforced by The New Testament in 1 John 2:1, 2:2 (NCV) which says, "But if anyone does sin, we have a helper in the presence of the Father--Jesus Christ, the One who is right. He is the way our sins are taken away, and not only our sins but the sins of all people." In my mindset only the New Testament of Christianity offers mankind the only feasible alternative.

The unique posture that Jesus Christ offers mankind in the New Testament of Bible is His covenant that He made with God, and is expressed by Jesus at the Last Supper, in the New Testament in Luke 22:19, 20 (NCV). Then Jesus took some bread, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to the apostles, saying, "This is my body, which I am giving for you. Do this to remember me." In the same way, after supper, Jesus took the cup and said, "This cup is the new agreement that God makes with His people. This new agreement begins with my blood which is poured out for you." From this point forward Christianity was born, and mankind truly had the way to enter heaven.

Jesus, during His crucifixion, said in Luke 23:34 (KJV), "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do". Alone, this selfless statement by Jesus, thinking only about us, in His ultimate anguish and pain of taking on all on the mankind's sins past, present and future during the crucifixion portrays the truest love that He had for all of mankind, and set the example for His Father's second greatest commandment, "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." <bio>http://www1.ecxmall.com/stores/familyestore/StoreFront.bok will try to provide you with articles of interest to a Christian and patriotic way of life.
Converting to Christianity is much more than embracing a new religion. It is all about coming into a personal relationship with God, the Holy Father and Creator of all things, through his only son, Jesus Christ. It is a very personal decision that should not be entered into lightly. Jesus said in the Bible that we should count the costs before committing our lives to him, to ensure that we don't fall away from our commitment when life gets tough. To become a Christian, you must simply follow the ABC approach to entering into a personal relationship with the Heavenly Father.

A: Acknowledge your Sin

The first step in learning how to become a Christian is to acknowledge that you are a sinner. In fact, everyone has "sinned and fallen short of the glory of God", as the book of Romans tells us in the Bible. Sin entered into God's perfectly created world through Adam and Eve -- when they took a bite of the fruit from the tree of knowledge after God told them not to. At that point, our fallen world became vulnerable to death and decay, and we were all destined for eternity separated from God.

B: Believe in the Gift of Salvation

But God didn't want that. He wanted to provide a way for us to reconcile to Him through forgiveness of our sins. The second step of learning how to become a Christian involves believing that God provided this route to forgiveness and salvation. He did so by offering his only son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice to atone for the sins of man. Jesus died on the cross, and when he did so, he took the sin of mankind on his shoulders and suffered the punishment and separation from God that was necessary for salvation for all. When Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, he broke the bonds of death and allowed us to come into a life with God for all eternity.

C: Commit your Life to Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is your personal savior, who willingly died on the cross to take your sins away before God. The third step in becoming a Christian is to commit your life to the one who saved you once and for all. Some people don't like to take this step, because they are afraid that making the commitment will mean they give up control of their lives and have to live by a list of rules that they had no say in. On the contrary; committing your life to Jesus Christ means that you have freedom in the knowledge that you are God's child and that you will be with him no matter what happens in life.

This ABC approach is done by prayer; you confess your sins to God, ask him to forgive you through the blood of Jesus Christ and commit your life to His perfect will. Once you have prayed that prayer, you are God's child and no one can separate you from His love.<bio>Nathan Martyn is webmaster of Christian Wallpaper, a site dedicated to religious desktop backgrounds and wallpaper.</bio>

In the realm of spiritual warfare against demonic spirits - one of the ways that demons can enter into a person's life is through a generational curse line. A curse line can be formed out between a parent and a child if that parent has engaged and crossed over into any type of heavier transgression against the Lord.

The Bible tells us that the sins of the father can be "visited" down the blood line of 3 or 4 generations of future children. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin will always be death. As a result of a sinning parents severe transgressions against the Lord - sometimes demons will be allowed to attach to the sinning parent - and then they will attempt to jump and transfer onto some of the children to form out this curse line.

If that curse line gets formed out - then the demons will follow that child into his adult life and try to get him to commit the same type of sins his sinning parent may have been committing. That is why alcoholic fathers sometimes produce children that also end up becoming alcoholics themselves - all as a result of a curse line that had formed out between the sinning parent and the child - with demons feeding and operating on that curse line trying to influence the child to go in the same direction as his father has been going in.

Here are the 6 steps that will need to be taken in order to properly break a curse line:

1. The first thing you will have to do is be willing to make a full surrender of you and your entire life over to the Lord. The Bible tells us that we first have to be fully submitted to the Lord before we can begin to resist the devil to make him flee from us.

2. The second step is to go before the Lord and confess out the sins of the sinning parent or parents.

3. The third step is to then be willing to fully forgive your parents for whatever they have done to you - no matter how bad or how vicious the abuse has been over the years.

4. The next step is to verbally break any unhealthy soul ties that may have developed between the child and the bad parent.

5. The fifth step is to then verbally, out loud, break the curse lines that the demons have been operating and feeding on over all of those years operating under the power, anointing and authority to be able to do this.

6. The last and final step, once the curse line has been fully broken and severed, is to then verbally command the demons to now leave you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Curse lines can be broken. Christians do not have to put up with the torments and attacks from demons who have may have been following them into their adult lives and into their own marriages as a result of the legal rights given to them by the sinning parent.

The Bible tells us that having lack of knowledge can cause us too go into captivity. However, the reverse is also true. Having the right kind of knowledge can help set you free and get you delivered from any kind of captivity you may have fallen into. <bio>Article written by Michael Bradley from http://www.bibleknowledgebookstore.com </bio>

How many times have we seen people who love to be seen by the crowd to be holy and righteous?" What does Jesus say about these types of people?

Jesus says now pay close attention to what I am about to tell you. Do not perform your alms before men just to be seen of them. You will have no reward from God the Father in Heaven by doing such things. If you want a reward from God, the Father in Heaven, don't sound a trumpet just before you give alms. This is how a hypocrite behaves in the synagogues and in the streets so they may find glory in the eyes of men and women. They will surely get a reward, but it won't be from God the Father in Heaven. They may receive glory and praise among other treasures for a short period of time or for a season from those who see and know they give alms.

If you want the rewards that come from God the Father in Heaven when you give alms, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Do your alms in secret, and when God, the Father in Heaven sees you performing alms in secret, he will reward you openly. The rewards of God the Father in Heaven will be much greater than anything a man or woman can offer you. Try it consistently and wait patiently for God the Father in Heaven to send you rewards. It may be that perfect job you have been trying to find for years, and then suddenly, it appears.

How should we pray? Don't do as the hypocrites for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets so men and women can see them. God, the Father in Heaven, warns: "They will receive their reward," but it won't be one from God, the Father in Heaven.

When you pray, go inside a secret chamber or closet and when you have the door closed securely, pray to your Father that is in secret and when the Father sees you praying in secret, he will reward you openly. In other words, you have a much greater chance of God answering the problems you pray about if you do it in secret.

When you pray do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do because they think they will be heard for their much speaking. Don't be like these people. The Father knows what things you have need of even before you ask him.

Talk to God the Father in heaven by addressing Jesus Christ as if you are talking to your closest friend about the cares and problems of your life. Jesus is mankind's older brother, and the go between us and the Father. All prayers first go to Jesus Christ, then onto the Father in Heaven.

When you pray be certain you are forgiving all men and women of their trespasses against you, for if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you of your wrongs and sins. You cannot receive the good things of God if you do not forgive others, your prayers will not be answered.

Rules of Fasting:

=95Continue bathing and daily grooming chores. You do not want to appear before men and women as if you are in sacrifice. You only want the Father in Heaven to know of this sacrifice. When he sees you sacrificing in secret he will know the sacrifice is solely for him, and openly God, the Father and Heaven will reward you.

Through our prayers and fasting we store treasures with God, the Father in Heaven where moth and rust cannot corrupt and where thieves cannot break through and steal. This is in contrast to continually seeking to buy this and buy that and store this away and store that away. These types of treasures can gather moth and can rust. They can also be stolen by thieves. However, our prayers and fasting in secret are safe with God, the father in Heaven. As the days roll on, he will reward us with those things we ask of him and have need of. It will be done in such a way that no one else can do anything about, and most likely, with much less physical and mental toll upon you. Cast all your cares upon him, for he cares about you!

This article is FREE to publish with the resource box.

=A9 2007 Connie Limon.
As Christians, you have a profound relationship with the Lord by accept him as your Lord and Savior. Being a Christian, one has to be a follower of Jesus, not only by believing in him, by observing holidays of obligation, and being an instrument of his peace and love and by receiving him through the holy sacraments and by following his commandments.

Are you a Christian? What does being a Christian mean to you? Christians are said to be followers of Christ as what in the Bible says.

Faith in the Lord is what matters most of being a Christian. For deep faith is the only salvation to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Because we are humans we are prone to commit mistakes and wrong decisions, more likely subject to sins, that is the foremost reasons why God sent his son Jesus to save us from our original sins. This salvation is through being crucified and died on the cross. To pay for our human sins. God's gift to repentance sinners is his undying mercy and forgiveness.

Christ is the center of Christianity, which Christians believed to be as Jesus of Nazareth, and the Son of God. Who lived life a free from sin, who at the end was crucified in his earthly life and on the third day he rose again and ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of the father. Christians are called and known to be as disciples of Christ. Christians have Christ centered belief. Most Christians believed in the Trinity or one God in three persons: The Father, who is the source of all things , and the Eternal majesty, the Son, incarnated as Jesus of Nazareth or the Eternal logos, and the advocate.

The term "Christian" is used by various groups with diverse beliefs to describe themselves. Christians, use a fairly specific definition of "Christian". They believe that in order to be a Christian, one must follow Jesus, and that the proof of this is found in agreeing to and following the doctrines set forth in their interpretation of the Bible the holy book of the Christians. some areas of the world, the term "Christian" is not necessarily a person who believes in Jesus Christ at all, but is seen as an ethnic group as the term Jew does not necessarily mean an adherent to the Judaism religion. This point of view is most popularly held in the Arab or Muslim world.

Christian communities provide chances to single Christians to meet marriage, minded Christian men and women for quality romance and even long and lasting relationship with the help of God. Mostly Christians believe in the commandments of God. These words should be lived b in a Christians daily life. Through observing and living in the words of God will make a good Christians. Walk in the light of the Lord and for sure one will enter the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Heaven. <bio>Teri, is an expert at online dating, and has written hundreds of very useful articles on the subject which are all freely available at http://www.pandadatingsites.com/ .
"We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen." (Nicene Creed 381 AD)

The Nicene Creed was originally written at the first council of Nicaea in 325 AD as a guide to help early Christians understand their faith and as a response to the rising belief in Arianism. Arius was a presbyter in Alexandria in the early fourth century. Arianism taught that the father created the son in the beginning, and than the father and the son continued to create the world together. The result of this line of thinking and where it came into conflict with the church, was that it made Jesus Christ(the Son) a creation of God(the father), and it separated the two when they are in fact a part of the one Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Arius thought of things as a chronological chain of events, instead of as an eternal holy trinity. He believed that since the son was begotten of the Father, than the Son was inferior to the Father. The Creed was updated in 381 AD when the Second Ecumenical Council was gathered to discuss incorporating the Holy Spirit to combat the heretics at the time. Once the creed was expanded upon; the idea of the Holy Trinity was officially recognized by the council and Arianism began to die out. There was a Third Ecumenical Council in which the Creed was reaffirmed and it was forbidden to make any further revisions.

This creed set forth in very clear language exactly what a Christian was to believe and is followed by virtually all Christian faiths today (Although some did alter it slightly to fit their particular beliefs). The only exceptions to this rule are groups like Jehovahs Witnesses, Mormons, and Church of Christ. Most Christians do not consider these groups Christian based on the fact that they do not recognize the Nicene Creed. The creed is included in church services in both Catholic and Protestant churches.

The Nicene creed starts out by affirming that there is one God, who is almighty, one, lord Jesus Christ who was forever of the father. It goes on further to assert that Jesus was begotten, not made from the father, and that the father and the son are in fact one interconnected, in order to directly address Arius's ideas. Than it states that we are saved through his salvation when he came to us through the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. At this point we have the Holy Trinity, (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). You have to come to the conclusion that God (the Father) and Jesus (the Son), and the Holy Spirit are eternal and although they are separate they are all combined together within the Trinity. The creed than tells how Jesus suffered for us, died, rose again on the third day, and will judge the living and the dead. It tells us that the Holy Spirit is the giver of life along with the Father and the Son. The Creed ends with the affirmation that everyone believe in one holy Catholic (Universal) and apostolic church, that baptism forgives sins, and that we look for the resurrection of the dead in the world to come.

The Nicene Creed has remained the standard statement of Christian faith for over 1500 years; and has remained virtually unchanged ever since its last major revision in 381 AD. As hard of a concept as the Holy Trinity is to understand the second Ecumenical Council attempted to make it an easier concept to grasp for the average person. Through this creed we can understand the core values of Christianity, which is why is has remained as such an integral part of the church service to this day.

References

The Nicene Creed.
Mary Poppins is "practically perfect in every way." Real people, however, find it difficult to consistently proceed with perfection. We are told to abide by God's teachings, but perfection -- for us mere mortals -- is not attainable. We want to follow in Christ's footsteps. But let's face it: those are some pretty big shoes to fill. What a relief it is to know that God doesn't expect us to imitate His perfection. He does, however, require us to attempt righteousness. "There is none righteous, no not one... For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:10b and 23

Outside her classroom, a teacher hung a sign on the door that said: "Welcome to class, where we strive for progress, not perfection." Our Heavenly Father instructs us to do the same. He knows that we will falter, fall prey to the evil one, and (often inadvertently) commit sin after sin. Just like any parent, however, God wants his children to avoid doing wrong and strive to make good choices. "And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right." 2nd Thessalonians 3:13

God wants us to learn from the mistakes we inevitably make. He wants us to come to Him for forgiveness and then turn away from our humanly wicked ways. No matter how badly we mess up, if we only confess our sins, God has promised to forgive us. In fact, our sins have already been paid for when Jesus bled and died on the cross for us -- more than 2000 years before we were even born. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

How can we repay the priceless gift of eternal life? You already know the answer. We honor God by making a commitment to obey His rules. He gave us these laws so that we can live in peace and with purpose. The Bible teaches us that if we know God, we will keep his commandments. Being good is a by-product of loving the Lord. "You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is the fullness of joy." Psalm 16:11a

We have a loving Father who has set down some ground rules for living a safe and fulfilling life. He knows we aren't going to make it through a day without sinning. He knows we aren't perfect. He allowed us to have free will so that we can choose to follow Him. We don't follow Him because we have to. We follow Him because we love him. If we have accepted Jesus as our personal savior, we will make a conscious effort to live each day in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. "...If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 <bio>If you enjoyed reading this article, then please visit http://godisawesome.biz for more great inspirational reading. </bio>

Father. This word brings up a variety of thoughts and emotions when it is spoken or thought about. Thinking of your own father or other fathers you know probably brings a lot of memories, both good and bad.

A father is a person of great influence in a life. He has a strong affect on his children whether he never spends one day with them or whether he is present every day of their lives. A father forever affects his children's picture of a man and of a provider. Many little boys grow up and want to be just like their father. Many girls grow up and want to marry someone just like their father.

What thoughts or memories does the word 'father' invoke for you? Are your first thoughts pleasant or hard? Do you have childhood memories that include hours of playtime with your father? Or maybe you remember how your father taught you to fish, climb trees, or build huge castles. Did your father teach you how to ride a bike, catch a baseball or throw a football? If only everyone could be so lucky and have nothing but great memories and feel fondness for their father.

Having a good father is something that will forever impact the heart and life of a child. So, whether you grew up with an amazing father or a not so memorable father, it is important that you commit yourself to learning to be a good father for your own children.

How can you be a good father? Fathering children well is simply a matter of loving your children like you would love anyone else. What does loving someone require? Perhaps you think of time or perhaps you think of giving gifts as a way to love someone. One of the best ways to be a good father is to spend time with your children. Make time in your busy schedule for them. Spend time getting into their worlds, learning about what they do at school, learning about their friends, and learning about the things they care about. You will never have a strong relationship with your children if they have no memories of time with their father. So rather than working those extra hours of overtime consider spending those hours playing with and learning your children.

Another way to become a great father is to verbally affirm and praise your children. A child's confidence and security can be built up greatly with kind words from a father or mother. Consider the power of your words and the affect that one negative or positive comment can have on your child. For most children it is the negative comments they will remember, so look for ways to cut out negative comments or criticism. Let your children grow up with nothing but praise and loving words from their father.

Having a great father can be one of the biggest blessings in a child's life. And being a great father can be one of the greatest blessings in your life. So, think of creative ways to get involved in the lives of children and be the kind of father they will try to emulate someday. <bio>Hallidae Thomason, a mother of four, enjoys being a consultant to her husband and other busy fathers.
I have been thinking a lot about my father ever since we celebrated Father's Day together earlier this summer. This is by no means the first time that I've ever thought about what makes my father such a special person in my life, but I have been far more intentional about reflecting on him in the past few weeks than ever before.

Perhaps I feel urgent about reflecting on my father's life and impact because he is getting older and becoming more and more like an old man. I'm not sure, I just know that I feel like it is important for me at this stage of life to figure out just why I love him and then to share it with him. Being a writer, my emotions and thoughts are expressed much easier in writing than verbally, so I'm planning to make a journal of sorts about my father and to share it with him on next year's Father's Day.

The very first thing that comes to mind when I think about the way I love my father is how he has always been the best teacher. He is the one that taught me how to ride my bike without training wheels and how to catch a softball in my mit. He is the one that helped me with multiplication tables when I was stuck and the one that took me out for hours of driving practice before I got my license. My father is a great teacher because he is patient, gentle and a great communicator.

Another thing I love about my father is the priority and commitment he places on our family. I have never seen another father who is so committed to family time and to being involved in the lives of the ones he loves. Far too many fathers are consumed by work, but not my dad. Throughout my childhood, teenage years, and no into adulthood my father has been the most consistent of any parent I've seen. I appreciate that consistency so much yet I'm not sure that I have ever expressed that to my dad. This is the year.

A third thing that I love about my father is the way he loves my mother. Everything I know about love I have learned from watching my parents love each other. I am well aware of the rare gift that is, and I cherish it closely. I want to be sure to communicate to my dad what it has meant that he has loved my mother in front of us so well for so many years.

If you are privileged enough to have a father, then I suggest that you start being intentional about loving him and about thanking him for all that he has done for you. There is no better way to honor a parent. <bio>Hallidae Thomason is an author that has been reflecting on her love for her father lately.
We all choose the God we want to serve. Jesus taught that it was impossible to serve two masters. A person either hates the one, and loves the other, or holds to one and despises the other.

If you choose to serve God, the Father in Heaven, then relax. Don't sit and think about continually how to preserve your life. Don't wonder about what you will eat, or what you will drink or what clothes to put on. The fowls of the air do not sow or reap, nor gather into barns because the heavenly Father feeds them. People are better than these. Furthermore, who can add one cubit to their stature just by thinking about it? Look at the lilies of the field, observe how they grow. They don't toil or spin. So if a God clothes the grass of the field that is to day and tomorrow is gone he will also provide you with garments unless you have little or no faith in him to do.

The heavenly Father knows we have need of food to eat, drinks and clothes. Jesus advises men and women to think more about and to seek the kingdom of God first. All these other things will then be added to you. Don't worry about what tomorrow will bring for tomorrow will take care of itself, concentrate more upon seeking a life everlasting hereafter and the kingdom of God.

Be careful about casting judgments upon others because for what judgment you cast upon another, you will be judged of the same exact way. Don't try to set others right and spend all your time trying to correct someone else. Concentrate on what you need to improve upon. If you are full of faults and sins yourself, there is no way you will have the ability or knowledge to correct someone else spiritually. If you desire to be a spiritual guide of others, don't be a hypocrite. First get yourself free of sin and faults so you can see clear enough and have the wisdom to spiritually guide someone else.

Ask the Father in heaven and you shall receive from him. Seek after the Father in heaven and you will find him. Knock at the door of the Father of heaven and the door will open to you.

What if your son or daughter asked you for a piece of bread, would you throw him a stone? Or if your son or daughter ask you for a piece of fish, would you hand him a serpent? Even if you are one of the most evil and wicked persons ever to walk the earth, chances are, you may still be a bit soft-hearted toward your sons and daughters. I say, chances are greater this is true. We all know there are child abusers and parents that do not love their children, but taking our society as a whole, there are probably more that regardless of their own evil deeds, they will be a bit soft-hearted toward their sons and daughters.

The Father in heaven knows that even evil people or sinner people know how to give good gifts to their children. The Father in heaven is able and willing much more than this to give good gifts to them that ask him. In order to see this principle actually work for you, God expects you to obey a law of the prophets which is: All things whatsoever you would that men should do to you do the same for or to them.

There is a strait gate that is narrow and leads to eternal life. Few people will actually find this way. Don't overlook the subtle teachings of Jesus and you will be one who will find that way.

This article is FREE to publish with the resource box.

=A9 2007 Connie Limon.
When we pray to God we should not only request small things but with a holy boldness we should pray for great things.

If the thought of laboring over a topic in prayer causes you to break out in a cold sweat then simply pray short one sentence, sincere prayers instead. A sentence or two may be all that's needed to exhaust the topic for you for the time being. If this is so, just move on to the next item without feeling guilty for your brevity.

1. Effective prayer should be grounded in scripture. The Bible is our only guide. To put it in a nut shell trust in God through knowledge and conformity to orthodox Christianity. Faith though trust in God, understanding God, one God in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Sprit. The only path to God is through Jesus Christ.

Gospel of John 10:7 Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. And faith:

Romans 10:17. Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

2. Adoration is the expression of love and our yearning to be close to God. Through our faith we will naturally move toward worship and praise.

Ps. 95:6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

Ps. 100:2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

3. We must confess: and not be self-righteous [that is confident of one's own righteousness, especially when smugly moralistic and intolerant of the opinions and behavior of others.] We must develop a close relationship with God starting with prayerful confession =96 we must become intimate with him. To do this when we pray we should confess our wrongdoing, confess to our hurting of others, confess to our not behaving as we should [in short our sins]. Just to admit we seek God's forgiveness and seek his absolution in prayer is to begin to develop a closer relationship with him.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

4. To thank God for everything is a function of prayer. Sometimes it is easier to thank God when things are going well; seldom do we give thanks - if we pray at all - when we feel stressed in life. We should be confident knowing always that God provides for us precisely what we need.

Paul gave us good advise when he told us - "be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances" (1 Th 5:16-18).

Ps 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

5. Asking in prayer: The Bible encourages us to bring our requests to God in prayer; to be confident when we pray and not to doubt. James 1:6 encourages us to be confident and not to doubt. James adds in 4:2-3 that we do not have because we do not pray. And that if we pray and do not receive it is because we ask with wrong motives. We should not try with our prayers to put pressure on God to do our will. We should put all concerns into his hands and to help us through prayer to conform to God's will.

1 John 14 - This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

1 John 15 - And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him. <bio>Kalisti Juma works with Tunawaza http://www.tunaweza.com working in East African communities. </bio>

About five years ago, my father was ill with a terminal lung disease. The doctors had told him, if he quit smoking, he might live another 5 years, but if he did not, he might last only 5 months. My father, had been smoking for 60 years. My father, either could not or would not, stop smoking.

My father began to lose weight, It was not long until he was only a shell of the man he used to be. My dad had always been a mans man. He did not take anything from anybody. He was tough. He was strong. He was one of the last of his generation. He never liked hospitals. But one day in November he ask us to take him there. He was placed in the Intensive Care Unit. His breathing had become very irregular.

He was seen by many doctors. All, continued to tell us, that he would be fine. That after a few weeks of rest, he would be back home. I could see in his face, that he did not believe it to be true. For the first time in my life, I saw my father show fear.

On a Sunday, the doctor ask us if he could put a breathing tube down my fathers throat, just to help him breath better, so he could rest. We agreed, because we trusted this doctor. He continued to assure us that dad would be fine. He shook off our questions as if they were foolish. The next morning, my father died. The nurse told us, his health was constantly getting worse from his first day of arrival.

I wanted, in my heart, to hit this doctor. I had hoped that he had not given my father the same false hope, that he had given us. I did not punch this doctor, but I have had dreams, and in those dreams, it is my father, strong once again, who punches the very same doctor. I wake up, and realize it is not reality. But even in death, at least in my dreams, my father shows his strength, for his son.

Now, I do not justify, in any terms, the punching of a Doctor, or anyone else for that matter. But sometimes, you have display that sign of strength for your family or those that you love. I feel like the Doctor had misinformed us on the condition of my father's health. In addition, it was not just his failure to communicate information, but in his bedside demeanor. He seemed to talk down to us, and did not allow our questions, which were very important to us and our personal feelings, to be justifiable. As said, I wanted to hit him. It is a primal instinct. But, I restrained myself. This Doctor, regardless of his shortcomings, was who he was, for better or for worse. My dreams, a display of my father's strength, were simply a reminder of my love and admiration for him. My respect for him, will live on, for all the days of my life.<bio>John Esberg is a proud father and husband in the Annapolis, MD, area.
Do you think you know how to beat a DNA paternity test? Well some people have given advice on how to beat a paternity test, but in all reality, you cannot alter your DNA. You can try drugs, food, water intake, medications and alcohol, but the results will remain the same, if you are a parent, it will show up in the genetic DNA paternity testing procedure.

We can find the latest story about Anna Nicole Smith and her child's paternity quiet the opposite of someone thinking they can beat a paternity test. The alleged fathers are actually fighting over who is the father. They all want to be the father. If they would consider how to beat a DNA paternity test, they would find the same answer; there is no way to beat a paternity test.

When a mother or father decides on a paternity test, you find many online websites offering free kits and then you send the samples in for testing. Now if the mother, father and child are not all present for this sample collection, some might think about substituting somebody else's DNA in place of their own. This is why the legal system requires the individuals to go to a local laboratory or hospital to have samples taken. For more info see http://www.geneticdnatestinghelp.org/paternity/home-dna-paternity-test.html on home dna paternity test.

In a Michigan court case a while back, a man who thought he was the father of the child for years, paid child support and later petitioned the court to stop payments and have a paternity test because the child told him that another man was his father. The court declined his request during the divorce proceeding. In this case, the biological father had help from the court on how to beat a paternity test because the man was already paying support for the child and was named the father. In this absurd case, the custody of the child changed from the mother to the real father and the man had to continue to pay child support to this father to support the child after the biological father had full custody.

Here are three ways for the biological on how to beat a paternity test. If the alleged father, not yourself the real father, has bad legal counsel, poor laboratory DNA procedures and the old stand by, the default judgment. Most alleged fathers just do not show up for court and are deemed the father whether they are or not. This is the default judgment that occurs more than one would think. If you feel you might not be the father or even if you are, you should always have a paternity test to find the truth before you pay for it for at least eighteen years. <bio>See more information on http://www.geneticdnatestinghelp.org/paternity/paternity-testing.html on paternity testing and http://www.geneticdnatestinghelp.org/paternity/prenatal-genetic-testing.htm= l on prenatal genetic testing. </bio>

If you are new to the Christian faith, you may be unsure about just how to pray to Jesus. The first thing you need to understand is the God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one person in the trinity. This means that if you pray to Jesus, you are also praying to your Heavenly Father who created you and the rest of the heavens and the earth. It is also important to understand that while Jesus was here on earth, he gave us a model for how to pray. While you don't always have to adhere to this specific formula, it can help give you the words you are looking for, especially when you are new to the process of talking to God.

The Lord's Prayer

When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray to God in the gospel of Matthew, Jesus taught them the Lord's Prayer. While this prayer is regularly recited in many Christian churches today, you can also take the prayer and use it as a formula while you insert your own words. The first part of the prayer is to call on God, "Our Father who art in heaven." The second part makes note of his holiness, "Hallowed be thy name."

When we pray, "Your kingdom come," we are acknowledging that one day, God's kingdom will come to earth and Jesus will reign over all. "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven," reminds us to ask God for His divine will to be done rather than our own. While we may think we know what we want or need in life, God has the ability to know what is really best for us. We need to trust Him and His divine purpose for our lives.

"Give us this day, our daily bread," reminds us that we need to rely on God for all of our physical as well as our spiritual needs. "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors," highlights the fact that God has forgiven us for our sins and we need to forgive others in the same manner. When you have trouble forgiving someone for something they have done to you, remember what Jesus had to endure to forgive both of you. Then ask God for help in forgiving.

"Lead us not into temptation," means to ask God for strength and guidance to live the way He wants us to. The easiest way to stay out of trouble is to stay focused on God. "Deliver us from the evil one," follows the temptation, because it is Satan who tries to tempt us away from our relationship with our Heavenly Father. God is the one who can always protect us from Satan's evil plan.

"For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen!" What a wonderful way to end a prayer -- by acknowledging God's greatness once again and offering the praise that He desires and deserves! Praying to Jesus in no longer a mystery now that you know what he taught himself in the Bible about entering the throne room in prayer.<bio>Nathan Martyn is webmaster of Christian Memorials, a place to create virtual memorials in memory of loved ones, grief support forums, articles and condolence guest books.</bio>

Christianity: A Quick Guide to One of the most Common Religions in the World

Christianity is one of the most widespread religions in the world. It is estimated that over 2.1 billion people worldwide are Christians

In Christianity, Jesus is a very important figure. In fact, the whole religion is based around his life and teachings. Jesus is considered to be the Messiah which means the anointed one in Hebrew. (Messiah is translated to Christ in English). Jesus is regarded to as both a god and a man. He was believed to have the human traits of mortality and felling pain; however, was also considered a god as he was able to beat death through resurrection.

Jesus was believed to have never married; however, recently, a new movie called the Da Vinci Code, based after the best selling book by Dan Brown, caused much controversy worldwide because it claimed that Jesus actually did marry. The controversy this movie caused it to be banned from playing at theaters in a number of countries across the globe including Italy, India, and many more.

In Christianity, it is believed that god is one being who exists as three persons, God the Father, God the Son or Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. These three persons that make up god are known as the Holy Trinity.

Many Christians believe that their sins can be pardoned with belief and Jesus as a savior. Jesus suffered much in his life. The vast majority of all Christians also believe that Jesus was killed on the cross and was crucified, but rose from the dead and went to heaven. This resurrection from the dead is why many people regard Jesus as a man as well as a god.

In Christianity, afterlife is composed into two sections, heaven and hell. Those who have lived a good moral life or have paid for their sins will go to heaven while all others will go to hell. Heaven is often represented as a peaceful place in the sky with clouds and angels in a calm and tranquil environment, while hell is often represented as a dark and evil unpleasant place underground where the devil resides.

Christian Theory states that there is a general resurrection, where the soul of the body remains alive until the physical state of the body is resurrected and awaits Last Judgment. Many Christians believe that all humans will be resurrected in some form, while some others believe that those who lead unrighteous lives will not be resurrected. <bio>Nelson Carrasco for Articles and information on Religion http://www.religionsecrets.com/ </bio>

The youngest father on record, was Sean Steward, who lived in England. He was 12 years old. The question though, is not how old can one father a child, but what is the youngest age one should father a child.

Being a father is more than getting a women pregnant and then having her give birth. A father is more than a title. It is a position of responsibility. A father is a mentor, a teacher, a role model, and a provider. A father is so many things. The value of a father cannot be taken lightly. But I am sorry to say, some do not own up to their obligations. It concerns me that for some, the role of fatherhood is changing.

No man, regardless of his age, should allow himself to become a father until he is ready to fulfill the obligations that accompany it. Obviously, a young man should finish school and find a career, before he takes on the biggest responsibility of his life. This cannot be accomplished at 12, nor at 14 or many times even at 18. A man must be mature, and be prepared for the challenge of raising a child. He cannot do this when he is still a child himself.

It is too easy to conceive a child. It is much more difficult to raise one. As before mentioned, a child should not have to raise a child. It is hard enough in today's world for an adult to do so. The sexual generation has produced too many unwed mothers and children with no fathers in their home. The absence of a father in the home cannot be underestimated. Especially, if he is a father who can pass on wisdom, guidance and discipline, to a child that is truly in need of it.

It does not appear to be a positive trend, unfortunately, for our children. With teenagers engaging in sex at much younger ages, there will continue to be children without that male adult supervision. When did this trend start? It would appear that it began with the first wave of children who did not have fathers in the home. The children became accustomed to single parent homes and therefore had no reason present not to create a fatherless family as well. In years past when a young male considered entering into a sexual relationship with a women, he had to take many things into consideration. He knew there would be responsibilities.

Today, it seems that this is simply blown off. Sure, there is child support, which when fairly applied, will collect financial support for some of the children, but this does not, in any way replace the presence of a father in a child's life.

Once can only hope, that through proper education, that children will stop having children. That, some where along the way, we will clutch once again to our good values and common sense, and plan parenthood, and rebuild the forgotten family foundation.<bio>John Esberg is a proud father and husband in the Annapolis, MD, area.
"Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation" - because they said, "He has an unclean spirit." (Mark 3:28-30)

"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come." (Matthew 12:31-32)

To those Christians who think they may be guilty of having committed the unpardonable sin - study the above two Scripture verses very carefully. Unless you have directly called the Holy Spirit Satan himself or a demonic spirit like the Scribes and Pharisees did back in Jesus' day - then you are nowhere close to having had committed this unpardonable sin.

The only other possible scenario would be if you have decided to completely forsake and abandon God all together by choosing to believe that He no longer exists, or deciding that you want to change sides and follow and worship after the devil direct. Even then, you will still have some time with the Lord to see the errors of your ways and the bad choices you have made.

God will not give up on you and He will continue to chase after you - even if you have fallen into a Satan worshiping group. Many people who have fallen into these types of dark groups have been rescued and pulled out of them by the Lord after a certain length of time. But again, the Bible says that the Holy Spirit will not chase after and strive with you forever. Realize that there are limits and boundaries to God's patience, grace and mercy.

Unless you are treading or entering into these types of extreme dangerous grounds with the Lord - then you are nowhere close to blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Losing some of your faith, getting mad at God, holding grudges against Him, pulling back on Him, and arguing and wrestling with Him are not direct acts of blasphemy against His Holy Spirit.

God is obviously not going to be happy with this kind of child-like immature behavior, but you are not going to lose your salvation over it, and you are not going to be deemed guilty of blaspheming His Holy Spirit by throwing some of these kinds of immature temper tantrums.

The Bible says that our flesh and spirits will war against each other and for some, their flesh will at times get the upper hand on them. But don't misconstrue this type of roller coaster ride in your walk with the Lord with either blaspheming God the Father or the Holy Spirit. This is why Jesus had to come and die for all of us - because of our sins, because of our sin nature, and because of all of our character flaws and imperfections.

Just realize who you really are in Christ and learn to grow and mature in your walk with Him and try to keep your temper tantrums and pity parties to a bare minimum. This life is way too short to be wallowing in wrestling matches with the Lord, holding grudges against Him, and questioning some of the decisions He may have made with your life.

Realize that God the Father always knows best, trust that He has made the right decisions in the way that He has been handling your life, and press on into the calls and divine assignments that He has set up for you to walk in with what little time you still have left down here.

You only get one chance in the eternal scheme of things to accomplish God's perfect will for your life down here on this earth. Don't blow it or lose it because you have been wrestling with God over all of these years over issues that you will end up finding out later on were a complete waste of time to be arguing with Him in the first place.

Remember, God is perfect - you are not! God always knows best - you do not! God can see into you future - you cannot! Trust God - because you can't trust yourself or the world in general to achieve your full potential in Him in this lifetime! <bio>Article written by Michael Bradley, you can get the complete article on the fruit of the Spirit at http://www.bible-knowledge.com - and get 20% off retail on all Christian books at his online bookstore at http://www.bibleknowledgebookstore.com </bio>

The birth of a child is a joyous event. A new life has been brought into the world and the parents often beam with pride. Complications do sometimes arise in these events however, such when there is uncertainty over who is the child's father. When this occurs stress can cast a dark shadow over the joy of bringing a child into the world.

When there is doubt over who the father of a child is, you can opt to establish San Bernardino county paternity. A move to establish San Bernardino county paternity is taken for many reasons and can clarify any confusion over the identity of the child's biological father.

Common reasons for moving to establish San Bernardino county paternity is for child support. If a mother is looking to receive child support payments for the child's well being and there is doubt in who the biological father is, the fatherhood would have to be established before child support would be required of the father. Another common reason for establishing San Bernardino county paternity is for child custody. If the presumed father wants child custody, the mother can move to establish whether or not he is the biological father. This is often done because the mother has doubts in the fatherhood and wants to prevent the male from having child custody.

There are also evidently major benefits to the child in establishing San Bernardino county paternity. When the child grows older, they will have the benefit of knowing who their biological father is due to the fact that a parent moved to establish San Bernardino county paternity. This can avoid any confusion and anger they may have felt if it had not been established and they did not know who their biological father was. It can also save the child the effort and stress of trying to find out on their own who their biological father is as they grow older.

Another benefit to the child in knowing who their biological father is that they will be able to learn the medical history of their father. This knowledge of the father's medical history can be a great asset in explaining traits of the child and taking steps to prevent diseases that they run the risk of inheriting.

A third benefit for establishing San Bernardino county paternity is that the child can benefit financially from knowing their biological father. In the unlikely event that the child's biological father passes away, the child may have the biological right to social security, inheritance or other monetary benefits.

There are many benefits to establishing San Bernardino county paternity, not only for the parents but also for the children. However, there can also be complications and stress that arise from the situation of establishing the fatherhood. Family law is available to help in the process. Family law is experienced with these cases and can guide parents through the process in establishing the fatherhood. Family law can also make sure that the children involved are protected and properly cared for.<bio>More information on San Bernardino paternity testing, San Bernardino divorce laws and San Bernardino family law in your area is just a click away.</bio>

Your trip to Las Vegas will be no more or no less than you make it. The problem with gambling destinations such as this is that if you spend your entire allotment of funds in the first few hours you are in for a very long and quite boring and possibly hungry vacation. It requires a great deal of self control in order to really win at the games that are most often played in this city.

From the bright and glittery nightlife full of dancing girls, flowing booze, and the eternal ringing of the slot machine, Las Vegas is a city that was quite literally built on broken dreams. If you do not realize this going in, the chances are rather great that you might learn the lesson the hard way. This is in no way whatsoever meant to discourage your from visiting or from taking the gamble in the casinos. That is after all the main attraction for a visit to this city. This is just a friendly reminder that in all things moderation is not really all that terrible a thing. If you're going to risk at all, at least wait till you're getting ready to head out of town rather than doing it your first night in.

If you get the chance during your visit find out all you can about the history of this city. I think it will make the trip that much more meaningful to you and might romanticize your time in the city a little bit too. Plus, for your guys, the girls love a good story and if you can woo them with grand stories of Vegas lore, then perhaps you will find a little luck of your own during your visit.

Through the years Las Vegas has had both vocal critics and outright devotees, they've legalized prostitution, kept gaming alive and well where others had failed to do so and stood against and corrupted more local and national government officials than anyone might ever care to admit. If one had all the facts about this city and it's oh so interesting history I would certainly love to read this tell all book.

Even more than the past, the presence of Las Vegas is raising many eyebrows across America in disdain while others look on with rapt attention. From the gambling and the dancing girls, the bright lights, the games, the gold, the glam, and the glitz there are people that love it with the equal intensity of those that hate it. I guess some things about Vegas will never change.

I would choose to visit Las Vegas over many American cities because its history isn't painted as lily white. This is one city that lives in sins and relishes that fact about itself. While some may call it 'Sin City' I prefer to think of it as a city that is unburdened by the sins of its past. When you think about it, those that are simply passing through commit most of the sins of Vegas. <bio>http://www.vegasfreehomesearch.com/ </bio>
