<content:encoded><![CDATA[Why <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/citre+shine" rel="tag">Citre Shine</a> is not a very well-known brand, I do not know. What I know is that it is a very good line of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hair+care+products" rel="tag">hair care products</a>. <br /><br /> My personal favorites are the (separate) <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shampoo" rel="tag">Shampoo</a> and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hair+conditioner" rel="tag">Hair Conditioner</a>. These two come in different variants for specific <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hair+types" rel="tag">hair types</a> and results. Since my hair is quite dry and wavy, I prefer to use the anti-frizz variant. <br /><br /> When you first use the shampoo, you will at once notice the clean smell. It is not too fruity and sweet and neither is it a soapy clean smell. In fact it just smells fresh. Unlike with other shampoos, Citre Shine's smell lasts throughout the day even if you get exposed to the sun and pollution. The conditioner enhances this smell even more. <br /><br /> Even as you use the conditioner, you can feel the smoothness of your hair. When you are done washing your hair, you can either air dry or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/blow+dry" rel="tag">blow dry</a> it. Either way, you hair will be pleasantly surprised at how neat it looks like. The more amazing thing is the shine. The first time I used both products, I couldn't believe how <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shiny" rel="tag">shiny</a> my hair had become! <br /><br /> To get the best out of the shampoo and conditioner, I suggest that you take your time in the shower. Let the products soak in for a few minutes. Do this especially for the conditioner. Use a small amount and then leave it on for a while. Then make sure that you rinse them both off very well. <br /><br /> In order to experience what these great products can give you, you have to be willing to shell out a bit more than you usually would on your normal shampoo and conditioner. They usually offer discounts and additional free contents with the bigger bottles. You don't have to use a large amount of both the shampoo and conditioner to get your desired results. In fact, I do not use the shampoo everyday. There are days when I just use the conditioner as my hair is still shiny and not all tangled up. <br /><br /> Do not let the price turn you off. Think about it. With Citre Shine, you do not need to use as much of the shampoo and conditioner as you would with the more affordable brands. <br /><br /> As Citre Shine is not very popular (yet), there might be a problem finding the products. If I were you, I'd snatch a couple of bottles up if I chanced upon them. <bio>For more information please visit <a href="http://www.444.net">http://www.444.net.</a>. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Thanks for visiting and finding my article. What follows is information that I have pulled together from several sources. I hope you find it both interesting and helpful. <br /><br /> Who makes the best <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/quality" rel="tag">quality</a> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/detailing+products" rel="tag">detailing products</a> or where can I get professional quality detailing products for my own car seems to be what a lot of people are asking. <br /><br /> You may be able to get the best products on the market or the same products that auto detailers and the serious hobbyists use. It is quite well known that if you intend to win auto show competitions you need the best quality detailing products to get that mirror finish. Young men also know that if their car is not looking at its best, their chances of getting a date will be tough. No one wants to go out with someone with a dirty car. For most people, their car is a reflection of themselves and are very particular of its appearance. <br /><br /> Do it yourselfers have asked if there is a special product they can use on their car to make their baby <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shine" rel="tag">shine</a>. You can find some excellent products online and they will ship them direct to you. One line of products was the American Shine Product Line of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/auto+detail+products" rel="tag">auto detail products</a>. It is easy to order online and it comes within a week. The 'Gift Pack,' the Tire Dressing and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carnauba" rel="tag">Carnauba</a> Liquid Wax are all good. <br /><br /> After following the instructions, the results were great. The Rubber and Tire Dressing had good shine, but did not have the stickiness, which would attract dirt or blowing dust. The Carnauba Liquid wax was not difficult to use and gave a good shine, but you must make sure the surface has been properly cleaned first. To insure a proper wash, we used carnauba <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/car+wash+soap" rel="tag">car wash soap</a>, which is recommended. <br /><br /> Although these products are usually made for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/street+rods" rel="tag">street rods</a>, motorcycles and customs, these products also worked great on a motor home and a 4-door maroon Ford with mild oxidation. The results were all on their website stating they were pleased with the shine. <br /><br /> I want to thank you for visiting. Go ahead and look around for additional tips and information. <bio>Sintilia Miecevole, Administrator of <a href="<a href="http://www.hkmotorcycle.com">http://www.hkmotorcycle.com</a>"><a href="http://www.hkmotorcycle.com">http://www.hkmotorcycle.com</a></a> provides you with information or resources from motorcycle, motorcycle accessories, clothing and gear to parts, rallies, events and more. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Every now and then you can still see a shoeshine person snapping that cloth and brushing his customer's shoes until they gleam.... kind of like a carwash for your shoes except that there's no water unless you count the "spit" shine.<br><br>There was a time when dozens of men would get their shoes shined but times change and it's kind of hard to shine tennis shoes. Men have shoes now that have that patent leather gloss that lasts past eternity. So, alas, the only places you may get your shoes shined now are at some of the famous hotels' lobbies and at home.<br><br>However, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shoeshine+kit" rel="tag">shoeshine kit</a>s can make a great promotional tool. While they may not be used on a regular basis, they are a novelty item, and customers are sure to remember you, along with your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/unique+gift+idea" rel="tag">unique gift idea</a>.<br>Up through the 60's most homes had a shoeshine kit available to them.., it was used on <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/penny+loafers" rel="tag">penny loafers</a> and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sunday+shoes" rel="tag">Sunday shoes</a>. The shoeshine kit consisted of a brush and some soft cloths and some shoe wax which came in a couple of different colors and varieties. That is pretty much all it took to get it started. And the most important ingredient was the grease....the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/elbow+grease" rel="tag">elbow grease</a>.<br><br>The purpose for a shoeshine kit was for taking care of the shoes. The more care you took with them, the longer they would last and the more family money would be saved. The shoeshine kit was used for maintenance, Sunday and holiday sprucing up and was always used after rain and snow storms. Almost all shoe wear during this time was made of some leather or suede and it was important that it was well cared for. Kiwi had been a shoeshine manufacturer for years.<br><br>The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shoe+shine+kit" rel="tag">shoe shine kit</a> would be brought out, the footwear cleaned and then a conditioner was applied, it was similar to an oil and you would let it soak in and rub it in with the cloths. Then holing the shoe on one hand you would take the newly cleaned shoe and apply some wax in a circular motion and then you would rub it in with the cloth and then you would buff that shine on that shoe with that cloth and brush like there was no tomorrow,<br>It took forever to shine that shoe, and the wax in that shoeshine kit would last no matter how much you treed to use it up. Some of us would try to shine the heels but it didn't work out that well. The shoeshine men knew how to do it. We tried to do it. And a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/spit+shine" rel="tag">spit shine</a> where you add a little moisture to the buffing polish. I don't believe more than 5 people in the world know how to do that.<br><br>I have seen some reproductions of the old professional shoeshine kits for sale. The one thing that differentiated the pro from the home kit was the fact that their supplies were always kept in a box with a slanted wooden top. An all purpose box, footrest, carry case and briefcase for the business man in which he carried the tools of his trade. These kits are very nostalgic today and I understand why. It brings back thoughts of a time long past.<bio>Miles Lovegrove is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of <a href='http://www.fluidbranding.com/products/shoeshine_kits.html'>Promotional Shoeshine Kits</a> and <a href='http://www.fluidbranding.com/'>Branded Shoeshine Kits</a> at www.fluidbranding.com. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ With a new year now underway, it's time to shine and there's no better way to do so than with the help of beautiful jewelry. For 2008, trend watchers will see that shine is everywhere in terms of fashion accessories. From the purses that we carry to the clothes that we choose and even the shoes that we wear, the newest trend is all about shine from head to toe. With that being said, experts recommend wearing elements of shine that offer the perfect accent, as opposed to overpowering your entire ensemble. <br /><br /> If you're in the mood to add some glimmer to your wardrobe, consider doing so with the beautiful and affordable option of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cubic+zirconia+jewelry" rel="tag">cubic zirconia jewelry</a>. Unlike a pair of rhinestone jeans or a purse, jewelry is one accessory that will never go out of style and, when done in a precious metal, may last a lifetime with the proper care. The most versatile choice in cubic zirconia is that of the clear design, but <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/jewelry+lovers" rel="tag">jewelry lovers</a> can find every color of the rainbow in this popular <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/diamond+simulant" rel="tag">diamond simulant</a>. From blue to yellow and even black, the shades of cubic zirconia are created to imitate the look of flawless gemstones. <br /><br /> Speaking of the various shades of cubic zirconia, one of the hottest fashion trends of 2008 will be that of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/zebra+print" rel="tag">zebra print</a>. What does this mean for jewelry lovers? In a word, everything. With the zebra print featuring two of the most classic colors in fashion, that being black and white, this color combination will also continue to be a leader among jewelry designs. Whether you choose to wear your favorite black and white <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cubic+zirconia+ring" rel="tag">cubic zirconia ring</a>, earrings or necklace, you will be in style. <br /><br /> While on the subject of trends, it's worth nothing that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/neon+colors" rel="tag">neon colors</a> will be making a big splash in the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fashion+pool" rel="tag">fashion pool</a> for 2008. With yellow rumored to be one of the top picks for those in the know, the look of a yellow cubic zirconia is sure to be the perfect accent. When paired with a matching button-up shirt or a v-neck tee, jewelry that features this cheery hue is sure to keep you and those around you smiling this summer. <br /><br /> If you want to dress up your current fashion wardrobe with a little shine, you can add a cubic zirconia pin to the shoulder of your favorite turtleneck, to accent a scarf or to add a touch of shine to your preferred handbag. If you own a purse featuring a solid color, perhaps you would enjoy the glamour of a cubic zirconia pin strategically placed in the center or in one of the four corners of your purse. Whatever your pleasure, this one piece of jewelry can prove to be one of the most versatile pieces that you will own. <br /><br /> Now that you know what to look for in terms of making your new year a 'shiny' one, it's time to start shopping. If you're shopping online, look for a retailer who specializes in sterling silver and cubic zirconia designs for a large selection of jewelry pieces that are sure to dazzle. <bio>For more information on sterling silver jewelry and cubic zirconia jewelry, visit Almost Diamonds at <a href="http://www.almostdiamonds.com" >http://www.almostdiamonds.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[We all love our hair and would not mind taking that extra step to take care them. For beautiful, lustrous and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shiny+hair" rel="tag">shiny hair</a> use these simple home remedies. <br /><br /> • A tea and beer rinse is one of the oldest ways to bring <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shine" rel="tag">shine</a> to your hair. Boil used tea leaves in enough water, let it cool and then use this liquid as the last rinse. <br /><br /> • In the similar fashion you can use flat beer (i.e. after letting the fizz out). This is a great conditioner to be used for your hair. <br /><br /> • Lemon juice mixed with water can also be used as a last rinse to give your hair a shiny and bouncy look. <br /><br /> • A shiny look is also provided if you use vinegar for your final rinse. <br /><br /> • To bring that shine one can use honey to keep your scalp moisturized. You can make honey lotion for your hair by mixing 3 teaspoons of honey for pint of water. <br /><br /> • The use of henna as a natural conditioner proves to be very <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/beneficial" rel="tag">beneficial</a> for your hair. It helps to bring back the bounce and flair of your hair which has been lacking for quite a while. <br /><br /> • You can add small amount of baking soda in the shampoo which, removes dirt and grease from your hair to give you the shiny look. <br /><br /> • To remove the dirt and other matter from your hair you can use one fourth cup of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/apple+cider+vinegar" rel="tag">apple cider vinegar</a> in one gallon of condensed water. This can be stored in the refrigerator and can be used every two weeks for clean, smooth, silky and shiny hair. The proper way to use this solution is to wet your hair with warm water, shampoo it later rinse it. Pour two cups of this mixture and leave it in your hair for sometime. The last stage is to rinse your hair with cold-water. <br /><br /> • To get that extra shine for your hair brew one cup of strong espresso, let it cool. Pour the espresso over your dry hair and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse it to get the extra shine and glow. <br /><br /> • You can also make <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/egg+shampoo" rel="tag">Egg shampoo</a> at home which requires 1 egg, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/teaspoon+lemon+juice" rel="tag">teaspoon lemon juice</a>, 1 tablespoon <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/castile+soap" rel="tag">castile soap</a>, 1/2 a cup water or herbal tea and last but not the least 5 drops of essential oils of your choice. Blend all these together to make an Egg shampoo which can bring shine to your hair. <br /><br /> • Many of us who want to clean their hair use shampoos. Try this for a change, massage baking soda into your hair and scalp. This absorbs oil and loosens the dead skin on the scalp. Rinse it thoroughly with water. In the initial stages the hair would be dry but after several weeks you would be dandruff free with smooth and shiny hair. <br /><br /> Warning: The reader of this article should exercise all precautionary measures while following instructions on the home remedies from this article. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Back in the early to mid 1900's it wasn't uncommon to see a man <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shoe+shine" rel="tag">shoe shine</a> a business man's shoes. In most cases, a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/shoe+shiner" rel="tag">shoe shiner</a> made more money on his own than working in the fields or in a sweatshop. Nearly 100 years later in a park in a park in a popular city, a man walks around with an old paint buck that he uses for his seat; underneath his arm is his tool kit to repair any man's shoe and add a little sparkle in their step. <br /><br /> This man receives a lot of stares and sometimes dirty looks from people who wonder, 'How can he stoop so low to shine someone's shoe'. This is how he makes his living. Young men dressed in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/brooks+brothers" rel="tag">Brooks Brothers</a> Suits with cufflinks or shades of black and grey slacks with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cashmere+sweaters" rel="tag">cashmere sweaters</a> (business casual). As they walk into the park to enjoy the little quite that's left in this big city, they whip out their <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/palm+pilot" rel="tag">palm pilot</a> to view their stock status before a man interrupts their piece to ask to do a shoe shine. <br /><br /> Then young man accepts even though he just purchased his <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/kenneth+cole+shoes" rel="tag">Kenneth Cole shoes</a> yesterday. 15 minutes pass and this young man whips out his palm pilot once again to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/email" rel="tag">email</a> his secretary to cancel his last appointment, he's getting his shoes shined. <br /><br /> It's 12:30 in the afternoon and believe it or not, this shoe shiner has already earned $100 for the day and he has only been shining shoes for 2 hours. That young man made $30 in the past two hours...go figure. Actually, the shoe shiner made more in 2 hours than some of the people who gave him dirty looks as they passed by. <br /><br /> This man may be a shoe shiner but he is in control of his own destiny...his 'career destiny'. He sets his own hours where as the man that's getting his shoe shined and has to answer to someone. Not the shoe shiner. Let's say that the shoe shiner consistently shines 3 to 4 people per hour for the amount of $20. Let's say he works 8 hours straight, the same amount of time the young man works in his posh office building. 8 hours at 3 people per hour is a total of $480 dollars. The shoe shiner is only $120 away from earning the young man's weekly salary gross amount. <bio>Dana Bradley writes about <a href="http://www.onlineshoesdepot.com/Coupons/Payless%20Shoes.html" >http://www.onlineshoesdepot.com/Coupons/Payless%20Shoes.html</a>, <a href="http://www.onlineshoesdepot.com/" >http://www.onlineshoesdepot.com/</a> and <a href="http://www.golfgearonsale.com" >http://www.golfgearonsale.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ In the past few months there is a new idea to do with straightners not only do they straighten but curl your hair too if you use the straightners in the way shown. In the past straightners have continued to change =96 not only to straighten your hair but to curl, dry, add shine etc. the list continues. Having looked at the multi purpose straightners I have come up with a list of the most popular: <br /><br /> =95 The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/morphy+richards" rel="tag">Morphy Richards</a> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hair+straightners" rel="tag">hair straightners</a> can be used to curl your hair as well as straighten as well as giving flicks to the ends of your hair either inwards or to flick out its any easy thing to do and it adds some fun to your hair. The way to curl you hair using the straightners is to clamp your hair straightners over a section you have divided and try to keep the heated plates as close to the roots as possible. As you pull your hair straightners through your hair, turn them 180 degrees by rotating your wrist, making sure you maintain an even, gentle tension on your hair. To produce tighter curls clamp the straightners harder, and rotate the straightners more and also increase the tension on your hair. <br /><br /> =95 Drying your hair whilst straighting this is now possible with a few brands of hair straighting including Hair Tools <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fhi" rel="tag">FHI</a> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ceramic+hair+straightner" rel="tag">Ceramic Hair Straightner</a>, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/t3+tourmaline" rel="tag">T3 Tourmaline</a> Wet to Dry Hair Straightners and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/remington+wet+2+straight" rel="tag">Remington Wet 2 Straight</a> straightners. They say, towel dry your hair, then use the straightners like you would usually but do small slim sections at a time not missing out any. They will lock in any moisture which you usually lose when you blow dry your hair and control any frizz you may usually get. <br /><br /> =95 Adding shine to your hair they say this is now possible by straightening your hair using special straightners. Years ago there were the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/babyliss" rel="tag">Babyliss</a> Straight and Shine Steam Straightners which for 7years ago worked very well at straightening your hair and seemingly adding shine to your hair. There is now a newer version of these called Thermaglass Salon Slim Hair Straightners, these are supposed to give your hair a smoother and straighter look whilst giving your hair extra shine. <br /><br /> There are also different widths of hair straightners the wide ones and the slim ones. The wide ones are better for people with thicker and longer hair whilst the slim ones would take a lot of effort to straighten thick hair but work well on long hair just takes a little longer. <br /><br /> Another option to consider is the temperature that the straightners reach. There are a lot on the market now that reach up to 230 degrees, which is very hot. There are upsides and downsides to this, an upside is that your hair may be straightened quicker with less hassle but the downside is that your hair may become more brittle and damaged from the heat. On some models of hair straightners you can decide on what temperature you want to use from 100 degrees to 230 degrees, which I think is a good idea. Maybe when you first straighten your hair after washing it you have it hotter but when you just want to iron out a few curly bits you use a lower heat. <br /><br /> Not only are black ones available but fuchsia and baby pink ones are available, but you will pay a premium for pink ones =96 the question is, is it worth it? <bio>Jene Pedder is the Webmaster of Inanch who specialize in <a href="http://www.inanch.com/article/3/yukohairstraightening.html" >http://www.inanch.com/article/3/yukohairstraightening.html</a> Hair Straightening. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Waxes and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sealants" rel="tag">sealants</a> both provide valuable protection and enhance the shine of your vehicle's paint. Waxes have long been the dominant form of protection but they are being replaced by new synthetic sealants. Sealants and waxes are both great products and knowing the differences between them can help you select what product or combination of products works best for you. <br /><br /> Waxes are primarily made from properties found in nature like <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/carnauba+wax" rel="tag">carnauba wax</a>. Waxes have fine water molecules in them, which make them more sensitive to heat than sealants. Once the clear coat temperature reaches 125 -- 200 degrees the moisture inside the wax starts evaporate and the wax will melt, leaving the paint without protection. If a wax is melting it becomes soft and contaminates in the air can settle in the wax. As the wax cools the contaminates can become trapped in the wax. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/natural+waxes" rel="tag">Natural waxes</a> will generally protect your vehicle from 2 -- 14 weeks. If you apply a wax to a dark colored vehicle and let it sit in direct sunlight continuously it will melt quickly, but if you have a lighter colored vehicle and store it in a garage you can get up to 3 months of protection. <br /><br /> Sealants are made in labs from artificial properties like polymers, resins, acrylics, etc. Creating a sealant <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/basically" rel="tag">basically</a> takes ordinary polymers and removes properties that do not add more shine or protection to the formula by reducing the presence of water and other <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/unnecessary+elements" rel="tag">unnecessary elements</a>. Sealants will only begin to melt at several hundred degrees and will last 3 -- 12 months. Sealants are generally much more resistant to nature's <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/harsh+elements" rel="tag">harsh elements</a> and abrasions. Applying a sealant to your vehicle would be ideal to give it maximum protection for the winter months. <br /><br /> Sealants add a great shine and make the surface feel very slick. Sometimes right after applying a sealant the surface is so slick that moisture doesn't really bead up it sheets off. Sealants tend to be very reflective. So why would anyone use a wax then if sealants provides such superior protection and a great shine? Waxes typically provide a deeper and glossier appearance that makes the paint look endlessly deep. This look is sometimes referred to as "wet" or "hard candy" and looks stunning when done right. Typically a pure carnauba wax is used to give off this effect and produce the deepest shine possible. When automobile manufacturers display new models they will often apply multiple coats of a carnauba wax so their vehicle is sure to be eye catching. <br /><br /> So now we must evaluate what form of protection works best for vehicle owners. If you have a daily driver we recommend applying a sealant to ensure that you have a strong layer of protection for months to come. If you detail your vehicle regularly (at least once a month) or you have a vehicle that's not regularly driven you may want to just use a carnauba wax. With regular applications and/or light driving, the carnauba wax will give you the protection you need and the shine you want. To have the best of both worlds top off a coat of sealant with a layer of carnauba wax. This will give you the enduring protection of the sealant along with the rich and glossy appearance of a wax for a show car shine. <br /><br /> We hope this information helps you better understand waxes and sealants and the differences between them. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Now what woman doesn't want to shine and look her best every time she goes out? There are countless ways for us, women to look our shining best with a few touches of make-up on our faces. With the numerous products flooding our cosmetic shops and stores, I am pretty sure there are a wide variety of make-up goods that is suited not only for your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/skin+type" rel="tag">skin type</a> and lifestyle but one that fits your taste as well. There is no limit to how you could apply make-up to enhance your looks.<br /><br /><br /><br /> In vogue nowadays are shimmering make-up that gives you a touch of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sparkle" rel="tag">sparkle</a> and shimmer. With this shining look, I'm definitely sure that you will catch the attention of the people as you project a flash of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/gleam" rel="tag">gleam</a> and glitter to cap off your sexy, foxy look. Here are some tips on how to use and apply these shiny, shimmering splendid cosmetics. <br /><br /> Do you want your skin to shine and glitter? Have you seen famous actresses and singers walk their way on the red carpet glowing all over? You too can make your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/skin+glow" rel="tag">skin glow</a> with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/body+glitter" rel="tag">body glitter</a> that will make you look like a super star yourself. You can find a lot of products from lotions to moisturizers that contain shine ingredients to give that feeling of a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/movie+star" rel="tag">movie star</a> in the spotlight. A tip though would be to not overdo it. Before going out, smoothen a scented moisturizer with glitter on your shoulders, arms and legs. Dabbing a little on your cleavage would also look nice especially when you are wearing a gown for a formal event. <br /><br /> Give sparkle to your eyes with shimmering eye shadow that will leave you with tantalizing eyes. A good tip would be to wear just a single color on your eyelids. You may opt to use a second color as a liner near the lashes.<br /><br /><br /><br /> Your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cheeks" rel="tag">cheeks</a> will gleam with a shimmering blush to accentuate your cheeks. It is advisable though to not apply too much and stick to applying them on the apple of your cheeks. For a princess glow, brush a bit on your nose, forehead and chin aside from your cheeks. <br /><br /> For plump looking lips, apply a touch of shimmering gloss. You may opt to wear just the shiny gloss by itself, pairing it with your lipstick or applying it in combination with other shades of lipstick and gloss for a unique lip color. <bio>Mary Lorainne writes about <a href="http://www.perfumefragrancecoupons.com/" >http://www.perfumefragrancecoupons.com/</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sterling+silver+jewelry" rel="tag">Sterling silver jewelry</a> appeals to us. Its bright shine can bring out the beauty in any outfit, from a little black dress to blue jeans. After time, though, the metal starts to tarnish. The silver gleam darkens, and the shine can disappear. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fortunately" rel="tag">Fortunately</a>, it is also easy to clean. Here are a few tips to clean your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sterling+silver+earrings" rel="tag">sterling silver earrings</a> and other jewelry, and prevent tarnish from returning. <br /><br /> Tarnish occurs when metals in sterling silver oxidize; copper is the biggest culprit. Over time, your sterling silver will change color. Fortunately, this is easy to reverse. By using a simple cleaning method, you can restore that beautiful luster. It can literally look like new again. One of these easy methods can make your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/jewelry+shine" rel="tag">jewelry shine</a> again. <br /><br /> Ultrasonic cleaners are popular with jewelers. Small units are sold for home use. Fill the reservoir with solution and your jewelry, and then turn it on. In a little while, your silver will look shiny and new. Simply rinse with cool water, then buff for a beautiful shine. <br /><br /> Liquid <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tarnish+remover" rel="tag">tarnish remover</a>s are commercially available. Dip your jewelry into the tarnish remover according to the manufacturer's directions. While this method is great for sterling silver, some dips can cause damage to porous stones like amber and pearl. Read the label when choosing a dip to ensure it will be safe for your gemstones. Always read the directions carefully so you don't ruin precious stones. <br /><br /> A popular home recipe for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cleaning+sterling+silver" rel="tag">cleaning sterling silver</a> requires nothing more than some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tin+foil" rel="tag">tin foil</a>, baking soda, and hot water. Line the bottom of a glass bowl with tin foil. Place your silver jewelry onto the foil, and then sprinkle it all with a generous spoonful of baking soda. (Some recipes suggest you add salt and dish soap as well, though this is optional.) Cover the foil and jewelry with boiling water and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse your jewelry well with clear water. The tarnish transfers to the foil, leaving you with gleaming sterling silver. Use caution -- boiling water may crack or otherwise damage stones. <br /><br /> Use a clean, soft cloth to gently polish your silver. Some jewelry stores sell special polishing cloths that are impregnated with jewelers' rouge, a super-fine abrasive designed to buff out any microscopic scratches that dull the shine of your sterling silver jewelry. These cloths are not good choices for plated items, as the rouge will remove the finish over time. <br /><br /> Once you have your jewelry clean, make sure it is completely dry before putting it away. Anti-tarnish strips can be placed in with your jewelry to prevent tarnish. Alternatively, there are also special bags that hold your sterling silver, preventing tarnish from forming. Send your time enjoying your jewelry, not cleaning it! <bio>Sara Berkley is an expert on fine jewelry. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Jewelry shines if it is properly cleaned and polished. People have <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/treasures" rel="tag">treasures</a> at home in the form of diamonds, emeralds and sapphires. These are often set in gold, silver or platinum. Some of the jewels are antiques that have been handed down from ancestors from one generation to the next. <br /><br /> Jewelry can lose its shine if it is not properly cared for with a good jewelry cleaner. Everyone with some jewelry to protect should find out about the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/jewelry+cleaners" rel="tag">jewelry cleaners</a> that are available so they do not cause damage to valuable pieces. <br /><br /> Different types of jewelry require different types of care so <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/jewelry+owners" rel="tag">jewelry owners</a> should investigate the jewelry cleaners to make sure that they buy the best one for their jewelry. There are jewelry cleaners that simply remove the tarnish from metals such as silver that have a tendency to tarnish with time. There are strips that can be stored with some jewelry to keep the tarnish away rather than polishing these pieces regularly. <br /><br /> Jewel bags can eliminate some of the cleaning if these are used properly to store the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/precious+jewels" rel="tag">precious jewels</a>. The cost of the jewelry cleaner should be worth keeping these treasures <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bright+and+shiny" rel="tag">bright and shiny</a>. <br /><br /> Several Jewelry Cleaners Are Available on the Market <br /><br /> Jewelry cleaners will bring back the shine that was present when the pieces were first purchased, but all the cleaners should be examined carefully because some substances could damage the jewelry. Some effective jewelry cleaners are bubbling tablets that are safe for some types of jewelry. These tablets often come with a special container for just the right amount of cleanser. These are easy to take along on trips so the jewelry cleaner is available at all times. <br /><br /> Some of the latest technology is used to make jewelry cleaners that are sonic type boxes for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cleaning+jewelry" rel="tag">cleaning jewelry</a>. These sonic cleaners create bubbles which clean the jewelry in all the small spaces that cannot be reached easily. These get rid of grease and dirt so the jewelry sparkles once again. Some of these will clean watch bands and keys with the same machine. <br /><br /> Some of these machines come with timers so the jewelry is kept in the cleaner for just the right amount of time. These also come with temperature controls so the jewelry will not be harmed in the cleaning process. Some of these machines can clean with just water so there are no harmful substances such as ammonia that could damage fine jewelry. <bio>Ann Mariera writes articles about family life and health issues. <content:encoded><![CDATA[We all want our cars to look great! Sometimes we get busy and start to neglect our cars. However it is important to get our cars shining inside and out for the car's value and the owners pride. There are simple ways to get your car looking great that if done right don't take an extreme amount of time. So follow these steps to getting your car to shine inside and out!<br><br>The steps to cleaning your car inside and out are easy as long as you keep up with them on a regular basis. If you let them go for too long it will take longer and be harder. So find a method or system that works best for you. Here are some things to start with.<br><br>First of all start by washing the outside of your vehicle with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/car+cleaner" rel="tag">car cleaner</a> and a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/soft+cloth" rel="tag">soft cloth</a>. You should be sure to remove all dirt, sap, and bugs from your car since these things can have a harmful affect on your vehicles paint. You should also dry your vehicle with a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/soft+towel" rel="tag">soft towel</a> to avoid scratching the paint. This will eliminate <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/water+spots" rel="tag">water spots</a> which don't look very good. You should then wax your vehicle. It is important to wax your vehicle to keep the paint protected and shiny. If you don't protect the paint it can and will oxidize and look dull. You should also clean the tires and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rims" rel="tag">rims</a> so they look clean and shiny like the rest of your vehicle.<br><br>To get the inside clean start by removing everything that doesn't belong there like papers, trash, apparel, or whatever else is in your car. Then you should remove and vacuum the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/floor+mats" rel="tag">floor mats</a>. You will also need to vacuum the seats, carpets and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/car+door" rel="tag">car door</a> upholstery. Be careful not to scratch any leather or vinyl as you vacuum. Then you should clean the inside of your vehicles windows with a mild window cleaner. You will also want to get the inside shiny with armor-all or similar product. This will not only get the inside shiny, but will protect it from cracking as well. Also placing a nice smelling air freshener will help the inside feel cleaner as well.<br><br>Remember if you don't have the time to clean your car inside and out you can get it professionally detailed. Professional detailers can get your car looking great on the outside and inside. Make sure you find a qualified detailer that way you get a quality job done on your car. This can sometimes save you time, but will cost you a little more.<br><br>It is important to keep your car clean. You will feel better about yourself with a clean car as others notice the pride you take in your possessions. Also it will help preserve the resale or trade in value of your car should you decide to get a new car.<br><br>Take pride in yourself and your car. You can start by getting your car to shine inside and out!<bio>If your car is in need of <a href="http://www.bumperdoc.com/index.html">auto reconditioning</a> start looking for a qualified professional to handle your concerns. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Whether you have just decided to get married and are shopping for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cubic+zirconia+wedding+rings" rel="tag">cubic zirconia wedding rings</a> or you're already married and have chosen to replace your former rings with something new, there's nothing quite like the flawless image of a sparkling <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/simulated+diamond" rel="tag">simulated diamond</a> accenting your hand. If you're in the market for a new set of cz wedding rings, below are five fascinating facts to keep in mind: <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cz+eternity+rings" rel="tag">Cz eternity rings</a> symbolize eternal love. A wedding band represents an unbroken line, which is said to represent everlasting love. Whether you choose a textured or high-polished design or you prefer something with gemstones, the unbroken circle of your rings will reflect the commitment that you have to your spouse. <br /><br /> Cubic zirconium is harder than most other gemstones. Because it measures an 8.5 on the scale of hardness, it has earned the distinction as being harder than all other gems with the exception of a diamond, ruby or sapphire. What does this mean? When it comes to cubic zirconia wedding rings, the hardness of the stone will add to the durability and longevity of the ring. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/diamond+simulants" rel="tag">Diamond simulants</a> shine more brightly than most other gemstones. A cubic zirconia is designed to imitate a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/flawless+diamond" rel="tag">flawless diamond</a>, which means its ability to shine is one of its most important characteristics. A <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/genuine+diamond" rel="tag">genuine diamond</a> has a high reflective index of 2.41, whereas a cz is close behind with a reading of 2.15. In comparison, these numbers indicate that these simulated rings will come close to the brilliance of their diamond competitors in terms of light reflection and shine. As an added bonus, these rings offer the look of flawless eye clean diamonds. <br /><br /> Faux <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/diamond+wedding+rings" rel="tag">diamond wedding rings</a> are ideal for newlyweds. Because of their affordable price, cubic zirconia wedding these rings are a wonderful way for couples to begin their lives together without being in debt. While some may choose to spend a lot of money on their wedding rings and either use their savings to pay cash or go into debt by using a credit card, others are opting for cubic zirconia rings and using the money saved toward life's essentials. <br /><br /> Cubic zirconium rings are ideal for travel. Whether you're out of town on business or pleasure, you will likely want to take your wedding rings along for the trip. If you were to wear genuine diamond rings, how much would you be losing if those rings were lost or stolen? With cubic zirconia wedding rings, you would be sad over the loss but you could still replace them without depleting your savings. Whether you currently have a diamond ring set that you just aren't comfortable traveling with or you want to start your married life with money in the bank, cubic zirconia simulated diamond rings may be the answer you're looking for. <bio>For more information on cz wedding rings and cubic zirconia wedding rings, visit Almost Diamonds at <a href="http://www.almostdiamonds.com" >http://www.almostdiamonds.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

Adding a few finishing touches can make all the difference between a nice looking horse, and an animal that wins the class.<br><br>Let's start by assuming that your horse has been thoroughly bathed before the show. Braiding has been arranged, and your tack is clean are ready for use.<br><br>To get the best shine on your horse, you will want to give him a thorough grooming. While bathing is great for getting out the dirt, the coat can often use some extra help to keep its shine. While your horse is still damp, take a large <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/saddle+pad" rel="tag">saddle pad</a> and place it over its back. Then spray a light coating of show sheen over the coat where you will not be placing tack. Never spray under the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/saddle+area" rel="tag">saddle area</a>, or where you need tack to stay snug.<br><br>While show sheen may seem a quick fix, it has many properties that make it very useful. It will increase the shine in your horse's coat, but more importantly, it will help repel dust.<br><br>Be sure not to show sheen the mane if you plan on having it braided, and not to show sheen above the end of the dock on the tail. Show sheen is very slippery and will make braiding next to impossible.<br><br>If your horse has white <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hooves" rel="tag">hooves</a>, or if the hooves are rough or uneven, try taking some mid-<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/grade+sandpaper" rel="tag">grade sandpaper</a> and lightly sanding the hooves. You can find sandpaper on <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hard+foam" rel="tag">hard foam</a> blocks that are easier to handle than plain paper. While sanding the hooves may sound a bit odd, as long as you don't do it too often and only use it to smooth the surface layer and remove stains, it will not hurt your horse.<br><br>When finished, apply a layer of clear hoof polish to the hooves to keep them shiny. Black hoof polish can look nice on a horse with no white and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/black+legs" rel="tag">black legs</a>, but looks silly on horses with brown legs or socks. Stick to clear polish on those horses. Some people prefer to use oil when the horse goes in the ring, but this tends to be sticky and the dirt quickly dulls the hoof.<br><br>If you use hoof polish, be sure to apply a moisturizer to the hoof after the show. The polish can dry the hoof out. If you show a lot, you might want to avoid using polish at every show, reserving it for the bigger events.<br><br>For horses with white socks and stockings, it can be next to impossible to get them clean. A quick trick is to buy corn starch and rub it into the whites before the show. The corn starch will make the whites glow, and any excess will quickly be shaken off as the horse takes a few steps. Be sure that any polish is fully dry before adding corn starch, or it will stick.<br><br>Clipping off the whiskers on the muzzle really tidies the face. Nothing makes a horse look like a nag more quickly than a shaggy muzzle. You can use scissors to trim the hair around the ears too, but avoid clipping them out if you can, as the hair inside the ears is important for protection against flies.<br><br>If you like the sleek, shiny look on the face, try using Brilcream instead of baby oil. This wonderful men's hair product creates a natural shine that sets off your horse without making him look oily. It only takes a little bit to add polish to your horse's face.<br><br>Finally, if your horse has scars that shine, or otherwise look unpleasant, try using a bit of shoe polish to cover them up. This will blend them in, while still looking natural.<bio>Lydia K Kelly is a writer for HorseClicks, classifieds of <a href="http://www.horseclicks.com/horses/maine-me/">horses for sale Maine</a>, <a href="http://www.horseclicks.com/horses/maryland-md/">horses for sale Maryland</a>, <a href="http://www.horseclicks.com/horses/massachusetts-ma/">horses for sale Massachusetts</a> and other states. <content:encoded><![CDATA[When it is time to make that all-important step of proposing to that special woman in your life, you will need to invest in an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/engagement+ring" rel="tag">engagement ring</a>. Before you begin shopping for that perfect ring, you should know exactly what to expect, what to look for, and the various types of rings that are available. The first part of any engagement ring is the band; there are many different kinds of bands of different sizes, colors, and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/metals" rel="tag">metals</a>. The gems are just as ranged as the bands, they come in a variety of sizes, weights, cuts, and colors. <br /><br /> The first thought that comes to mind in an engagement ring, is a diamond. Of course, this is the traditional engagement ring; however, it could be any gem the couple chooses, it is all the matter of preference. <br /><br /> Selecting a Band <br /><br /> When selecting a band there are a few different types of metals you have to choose from, these include: <br /><br /> • Gold • Silver • Platinum <br /><br /> Each person has their own preference, some people prefer the traditional gold ring, others prefer the shine that silver or platinum can provide. Gold is perhaps the most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/popular" rel="tag">popular</a> of all metals when it comes to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/engagement+rings" rel="tag">engagement rings</a>. The gold within a ring is measured in karats. The most popular karat weight of gold is <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/14+karats" rel="tag">14 Karats</a>, though you can find <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/gold+rings" rel="tag">gold rings</a> that are 18 Karats and 24 Karats as well. Gold also comes in two colors, yellow or white gold. The drawbacks of gold are that it can bend very easily when worn and tends to lose its shine after a period of time. <br /><br /> Silver or platinum are extremely hard and does not bend as easily. Neither of these are as popular as gold is and typically costs more than gold as well. Platinum is popular because it generally never loses any of its shine nor does it tarnish in any way and is perfect for those that are allergic or sensitive to other metals. <br /><br /> Selecting the Perfect Ring <br /><br /> Here are a few tips you should consider when you are ready to purchase a ring for that special loved one. <br /><br /> 1. If you have already proposed and are ready to purchase the ring, take your loved one with you when selecting a ring. This will allow her to have a choice in the matter and this way you will always have the perfect size and fit. <br /><br /> 2. If you are purchasing a ring prior to the proposal, consider retrieving (also known as sneaking) one of the rings she already owns and taking it with you. This will help in making sure the ring will fit on that big day. <br /><br /> 3. Furthermore, for surprise rings make sure that you take notice of everything about the love of your life. Take note of the type of rings she wears, small stones, large stones, or none at all. This will help your jeweler make suggestions on the ring you should consider. <br /><br /> Overall, it can seem like a daunting task in picking out that perfect engagement ring. Have fun with it and know that the end results could very well be spending the rest of your life with the one you love. <bio>Roy Dietelzieg worked in the jewelry industry for 10 years and has been writing about his reflections on jewelry philosophy. <content:encoded><![CDATA[You're sharpening your knife and have tested it to confirm for sharpness. You know that you've achieved it because you've found a burr on the knife's edge. This burr is how we know that the edge has reached the point of absolute sharpness. It confirms it. Should you stop there? Oh, but you must. There's only so much sharpening that can be done to an edge. To continue after that only results in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/unnecessary+loss" rel="tag">unnecessary loss</a> of metal on your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/blade+edge" rel="tag">blade edge</a>. To continue gains nothing. Are you done then?<br><br>You've got a burr on your blade edge and it should be removed. Once you've done that, the edge will usually have <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tiny+bits" rel="tag">tiny bits</a> of metal still clinging to it. These bits feel like sand on the edge. But you'd like to get it as fine as it can be, even slippery sharp at that.<br><br>Maybe you've got knives that are going on display. Maybe they're going to be included in a ceremony of some sort. Or maybe you'd just like to show off your fine knives to your friends and family. I'm sure you'd want your edges to shine, to make them silky smooth. Well, then. It's time to strop it.<br><br>Stropping is a technique used to clean off a blade's edge after sharpening. It is meant to bend and twist those clinging <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/metal+pieces" rel="tag">metal pieces</a> until they fall off. It's also done to realign the microscopic teeth created on the edge while sharpening. Stropping is done by swiping both sides of your blade's edge over a leather strap. When you can no longer feel clinging bits, you have successfully stropped your blade edge. It should be shining nice and bright at this point. This is how stropping was always done in the past, but times are changing.<br><br>Did you ever think that you might one day be able to electrically strop an edge? I sure didn't. The world of electric <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/knife+sharpening" rel="tag">knife sharpening</a> has come a very long way. Some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electric+knife+sharpeners" rel="tag"><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electric+knife+sharpener" rel="tag">electric knife sharpener</a>s</a> are quite amazing. Many of the high priced sharpeners are equipped with their own stropping abrasives. How about that? It's true. Spend anywhere form over $50 to a few hundred on an exceptional electric knife sharpener and it'll both sharpen and strop your blades for you. Just like that. Yes, I know. It seems like an awful lot of money for just an electric knife sharpener. But if you've got the means and don't care to diddle with it, electric knife stropping is surely possible now. It is entirely up to you.<br><br>Let's make one point very clear. Stropping is not sharpening. It isn't, really. But stropping with a polishing compound or an abrasive compound sure is. When you do this, when you add such a compound to the strap, the stropping has now become its own form of sharpening. Because it can now remove metal from the edge, it is a sharpener. All by itself, however, the strap can do no more than strop an edge. Therein lies the difference.<br><br>For fine knife sharpening, stropping is always the last step. It is done after absolute sharpness has been achieved. It makes each knife edge as fine as it can be. They will shine and shine. Isn't that special?<bio>Len Q. is a master blade sharpener. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ I've certainly had days when I wanted things to happen that just were not happening. Having come through so many frustrations though, I can honestly look back and tell you one thing that stands out as I've moved on from each of them. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/playing+a+game" rel="tag">Playing a Game</a> <br /><br /> Looking back at where I was I can see that when I was stuck and frustrated I was playing a game. I've given that game a name. It's called 'Playing Small.' <br /><br /> When I played 'Playing Small' I believed there were <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/barriers" rel="tag">barriers</a> in front of me, stopping me. The usual barriers (some of which you might recognize) are the barriers such as time, money, resources and qualifications. <br /><br /> Many of these barriers have been deconstructed by my <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/coach" rel="tag">coach</a>es and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mentors" rel="tag">mentors</a>. Once when I needed to make more money, my <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/business+mentor" rel="tag">business mentor</a> broke down what I needed to do into simple mathematics. That was all I needed to know. From their I could work out the rest and stopped playing small. <br /><br /> Another time, I was in a quandary over a family matter. I was sitting with my <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/spiritual+mentor" rel="tag">spiritual mentor</a>. He just threw his head back and laughed at me. 'Why are you making your own life so tough,' he asked? <br /><br /> That was all it took for me to realized I was holding from back something bigger and better, by a petty process I'd put in place. <br /><br /> My coach helped me straighten out a head full of confusion. I had so many ideas and was using them as an excuse to procrastinate. 'I don't know how to construct this idea,' I told him. 'Easy,' he said, '<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stop+playing" rel="tag">Stop playing</a> the game of indecision. Make what you're doing simple and get on with it.' <br /><br /> That was all it took for me to stop playing small again. <br /><br /> Letting You Out <br /><br /> What my coaches and mentors have all done well is common amongst them all. They saw what I didn't see and helped the real me to be let out. <br /><br /> I see this time and again in my coaching. It doesn't matter if a client wants to run a successful holistic practice, gain promotion or control of their kids. As a coach, I see things they don't see. <br /><br /> Simply put, a coach sees the bigger picture, doesn't get caught up in all the 'stuff' of playing small and guides you towards your goal. <br /><br /> When you Shine, the World Shines with You <br /><br /> In the last month, (half of which I was on holiday) I've heard at least four 'Oh my God' gasps from my clients as they've just seen things they didn't see before on the other side of playing small. <br /><br /> Instantly goals became achievable. <br /><br /> One of the things I've noticed is that when an issue is put before a wise person, the light they shine on the dilemma transforms it. That's why I invest time and money with people who I deem to be wiser than me. <br /><br /> By investing in this way my life transforms faster with less time and energy wasted, worrying or wondering. <br /><br /> With Love and good wishes Neil <bio>This article was written by Neil Fellowes of CommunitySoul. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Platinum or gold? No, we are not talking about the color of your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/amex+card" rel="tag">AmEx card</a> here, but the color of the metal you are planning for your engagement ring. The very first decision when <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/designing+your+own+engagement+ring" rel="tag">designing your own engagement ring</a> will be what metal you will be wanting your ring to be crafted from. Your basic choices are platinum or gold. Gold is available in a variety of colors including white, yellow or rose.<br><br>While platinum is certainly a more costly metal it does have a few long term advantages over gold. Firstly, platinum is a harder metal and will not wear down. Secondly, it will not lose its shine or tarnish, whereas white gold that has been rhodium plated needs to be re-plated periodically to maintain its shine. Thirdly, platinum is hypoallergenic.<br><br>Platinum can also be used to advantage in settings to help showcase your diamond. The ring setting will be less obtrusive, and the white metal setting can actually make your diamond look a little larger. The high shine of the platinum will enhance the fire and sparkle of your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/diamond+engagement+ring" rel="tag">diamond engagement ring</a>.<br><br>A <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/platinum+engagement+ring" rel="tag">platinum engagement ring</a> will certainly last you a lifetime. This ring will be just as shiny in 20 or 50 years as the day he slips it on your finger. Have you ever noticed how worn your grandparent's gold engagement and wedding rings have become over time? Well, with platinum your engagement ring will never fade away.<br><br>Platinum is certainly becoming more and more popular with the celebrities. The extremely high shine of the metal does exude a luxurious glamor.<br><br><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/platinum+rings" rel="tag">Platinum rings</a> can also look superb with stainless steel wrist watches. As we all know, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stainless+steel+watches" rel="tag">stainless steel watches</a> are another hard wearing jewelry item, and range in styles from athletic to formal.<br><br>Gold may be less expensive initially, but in terms of wear and tear, and repairs over a lifetime, it may well be a case of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/false+economy" rel="tag">false economy</a>. However, many girls do like the color that gold is available in. Ultimately it comes down to personal choice. If you prefer yellow or rose gold, then go for it. Perhaps you could have the claws or the setting made from platinum or white gold to highlight the diamond and have the actual band made from the metal of your choice. Or alternatively, have a platinum band that will not wear, and then have colored gold of your choice engraved or filigreed to give you a highly decorative and unique ring.<br><br>Yet another alternative is to incorporate both yellow and white metals for more complex designs. This can be a great way to get the best of both worlds or to perhaps keep the price of your engagement ring down. By incorporating both a yellow gold with platinum or white gold in your engagement ring, you will be always able to continue wearing both your yellow and white gold jewelry.<br><br>Custom made engagement rings are a fantastic way of ensuring that your engagement ring is absolutely made to your finest requirements. Contemporary designs of engagement rings can allow you a great selection of metals from which to craft your ring. Platinum, gold, or a mix of both, when designing your own engagement ring, the choice is totally yours.<bio>Andy Moquin has spent 20 years in the jewelry business buying and selling over $20,000,000 in diamonds, engagement rings and custom designed jewelry. <content:encoded><![CDATA[This week something interesting happened to me. I made a gift for someone, and they absolutely loved it. As they exclaimed over it and admired it, they asked if it had taken me long to make. I shrugged and said, andquot;Just a few hoursandquot; - when in fact I spent more than 30 hours working on it. I poured alot of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/heart+and+soul" rel="tag">heart and soul</a> into it. Why then, did I diminish it? Why did I feel the need to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fib" rel="tag">fib</a> about how much effort I had put into that gift? I must admit, I had to give that question some long, hard thought. What I realized is that I am still following the pattern that has dominated much of my life. I'm hiding my Light. You know that song, andquot; This Little Light of Mine, I'm Gonna Let It Shine?andquot; How many of us are afraid to let our andquot;lightsandquot; shine? How many of us hold back a large part of ourselves? <br /><br /> Maybe we are afraid of being braggarts. Nobody likes a boastful, prideful person. From a young age, our parents teach us <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/modesty" rel="tag">modesty</a> and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/humility" rel="tag">humility</a>, which is not a bad thing in itself. But where do we <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/draw+the+line" rel="tag">draw the line</a>? Are we not allowed to take pride in our own accomplishments at all? <br /><br /> There is a very big difference between sharing our <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/gifts" rel="tag">gifts</a> with the world, and showing off. When I look back across my life, I see a classic underachiever. Not because I wasn't capable of achieving anything, but because I was ashamed and embarrassed by my own abilities and strengths. I denied them and hid them at every available opportunity. If I shared those gifts with the world, it would call attention to me, attention I didn't feel worthy of accepting. Perhaps I was also afraid of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ridicule" rel="tag">ridicule</a>. If I shared my heart and soul with the world, would I be laughed at or made fun of? Nothing could shoot my confidence down more quickly than rejection. Maybe you've had the same experiences? Have you had feelings of hesitancy about sharing your gifts? Have you been hiding your light, holding back an essential part of yourself? <br /><br /> How dare we hide our Lights? They are not ours to hide. They were given to us by a loving God of Light - the same light that shines within us. Each of us has a little spark of the Divine within. By denying that part of ourselves, we also deny God within us! We have a responsibility to share ourselves with the world; not in a way that proclaims us to be better than anyone else, but in a way that uplifts and enriches others. We owe it to ourselves, we owe it to the world, and we owe it to God, the one who gave us these gifts and abilities to begin with. What good is a gift that doesn't get used? Imagine a flower being afraid to bloom, rain being afraid to fall, the sun being afraid to shine. We need to shift our perspective and realize that by hiding our lights, we are not serving anyone. Love, unexpressed, is not love at all. <br /><br /> So many of us think that we have nothing to share. We spend most of our days feeling like an empty shell. However, nothing is truly ever empty. Nature abhors a vacuum. Ah, remember that, from Science class? ;-) Though you may feel empty, there is something inside of you. It may be chaos or joy, optimism or pessimism, hope or doubt - but something is there. If you don't like what it is, you have the ability to change it by the power of your thoughts. <br /><br /> Know that you do have something to share with the world. If you will dare to reach down inside your soul and feel around a bit, you will find a long forgotten dream. A sense of excitement that you once had, a knowingness that you could change the world and make it just a little bit brighter. Reclaim that dream. It never really left you, it just got covered with a little dust. Clean it off and set it upon your mantle of hope. Infuse it with new life, and allow it to come into Being. <br /><br /> Remember that you are the only one holding yourself back. <bio>Wendy Betterini is a freelance writer who strives to motivate, uplift, and inspire you to make your dreams a reality. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ In June 1986 archaeologists of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tel+aviv+university" rel="tag">Tel Aviv University</a> announced discovery of two small silver <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/amulet" rel="tag">amulet</a>s. These two silver scrolls were found in 1979 deep inside a burial cave at a site known as Ketef Hinnom, west of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/old+city+of+jerusalem" rel="tag">old city of Jerusalem</a>. They were hidden at the back of the tomb embedded in pottery fashioned as early as the seventh century BC. <br /><br /> Seven years later the fragile scrolls were opened and their texts deciphered. The scrolls contain an excerpt from Numbers 6:24-26, also known as the Priestly <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/benediction" rel="tag">Benediction</a>. In English the verses read: "The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace." On the scrolls we find the texts: <br /><br /> Amulet 1: concluding benediction (lines 14=9619): <br /><br /> "[=85] May <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/yahweh" rel="tag">Yahweh</a> bless you [and] keep you. May Yahweh cause his face to shine [on you] =85]." <br /><br /> Amulet 2: benediction (lines 5=9612): <br /><br /> "[=85] May Yahweh bless you and keep you. May Yahweh cause his face to shine [on] you and give you peace [=85]." <br /><br /> The location of the find and analysis of the Hebrew on the scroll confirm a date close to 600 BC, perhaps earlier =96 long before the capture of Jerusalem and the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/babylonian+exile" rel="tag">Babylonian exile</a>. <br /><br /> The importance of this find can hardly be overstated. It proves this section of Numbers was written at least 2,600 years ago. This Old Testament passage is 400 years older than the oldest Dead Sea Scroll manuscripts, and perhaps even older yet. The age of the text may prove a nail in the coffin of the Documentary Hypothesis theories that the Pentateuch was not written by Moses, or that it was not even known in Moses' time. <br /><br /> Those theories speculate that large segments of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/first+five+books" rel="tag">first five books</a> of the Bible originated in the period of Ezra: 400=96500 BC. In this debate, some of the arguments revolve around the use of YHWH, the divine name of God (often rendered "Jehovah" or "Yahweh"), which is said not to have been in use before this time. The silver scrolls, dated before 586 BC, contain that name. In fact, this is the earliest the name had been found in any dig in Jerusalem. <br /><br /> Therefore the silver scrolls are not only the oldest extant (still in existence) text of the Bible, they also provide compelling support to the authorship of the first five books of the Bible by Moses. <bio>Rob VandeWeghe is a sceptic turned Christian by studying the foundations for Christianity.
