There are many reasons why shopping online from the comfort of your own home is safer. One major reason is because some of the people out driving on the roads may be suffering from road rage. Road rage may occur for many different reasons, but it doesn't matter why it happens; what's important is to know that it happens all the time and has the potential to be quite dangerous.

Drivers suffering from road rage may not even realize that they are behaving irrationally. The smallest mistake that a driver may make has the potential of totally setting off a person who suffers from road rage. The innocent driver may be in the fast lane, yet be going at a speed that the road-rage filled person feels is too slow. This angry person may tailgate you until you are forced to change lanes, or any number of other things. Some people with road rage will even follow you to your destination, especially if you're alone, and when you get out of the car, they will start a fight with you, or worse.

Anything can cause a person to experience road rage. It could happen all the time, or it could only happen when something particularly upsetting has occurred in the person's life. A person experiencing road rage could be angry every morning while they are driving to work because they hate their job. They could also be angry on the way home because of an extremely stressful job.

Other reasons why people experience road rage is that they may be in a hurry to reach their destination and wish to speed, yet all of the other drivers are driving the speed limit. This can anger the person enough to have a temporary lapse in judgment, which could cause other drivers or themselves to be hurt. A person with road rage may have also recently been in an argument with someone, or received some bad news. Something like this is all it takes to trigger a road rage episode. A large percentage of motorists can probably say that at some time in their lives that they experienced rage on the road, at least to some extent. It may have just happened once, but that's all it takes to potentially endanger their own, or someone else's life. <bio>Stacey Day writes about http://www.simplybestcoupons.ca/Coupons/Rugman.com/, http://www.simplybestcoupons.ca/Coupons/ca.dell.com/ and http://www.simplybestcoupons.ca/ </bio>

Recent headline: "Road Rage may be due to medical condition called Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED)"

WHAT IS THE SCIENCE BEHIND THIS? The study, reported in the June (2006) issue of the Archives of General Psychiatry was based on a national face-to-face survey of 9,282 U.S. adults who answered diagnostic questionnaires in 2001-03. It was funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.

Results? About 5 percent to 7 percent of the nationally representative sample had had the disorder, which would equal up to 16 million Americans. That is higher than better-known mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

The average number of lifetime attacks per person was 43, resulting in $1,359 in property damage per person. About 4 percent had suffered recent attacks.

IS IT REAL? This study has created much controversy regarding exactly what is "medical" about road rage and how it differs from plain bad, inconsiderate behavior.

Take the two following headline which were published recently: News Item #1: "Police search for shooter following road rage incident"

Date: June 10, 2006. City: Indianapolis, Indiana. The event: At an intersection, two drivers were involved in a confrontation when one of them opened fire on the other at a stoplight.

News Item #2: "Man, 21, charged in road rage shooting." Date: May 21, 2006. City: San Antonio, Texas. The event (according to news reports): "Around 3AM Samuel Hitchcock, 21, Daniel Pena, 17, and another man were driving when a pickup passed them on an inside lane, striking Hitchcock's side mirror. Hitchcock followed the truck into a residential area to gather information and the truck made a sudden turn, stopping. Hitchcock pulled up next to the truck. Pena, who was in the front passenger seat told police the truck's driver pulled a gun and started shooting at them, striking him and killing Hitchcock.

Are all cases like this due to Intermittent Explosive Disorder? Very Unlikely! Some are and some are not. This is why it is important to have a professional assessment of each case of "road rage" to determine the underlying cause, such as IED -- or some other problem.

Other causes that could come into play would include: alcohol or drug intoxication, stress, depression or bipolar disorder and, of course, bad, selfish or inconsiderate behavior.

ROAD RAGE VS AGGRESSIVE DRIVING The person who weaves in and out of traffic, tail gates, or cuts in front of you may not be showing "road rage" per se, but inconsiderate aggressive driving. He is not angry at you; he probably doesn't even know you exist, being preoccupied with his own selfish needs.

IED SEEN IN OTHER LIFE AREAS It is also important to remember that persons who do indeed suffer from Intermittent Explosive Disorder may explode in many other situations besides road rage. Often they "blow up" at spouses, children, co-workers, or customer service employees.

REMEDIES FOR ROAD RAGE If road rage is indeed due to IED, there are two treatments that can help both adolescents and adults: (1)medications , and (2) cognitive training

The medications usually involve SSRIs (a type of anti-depressant). In my opinion, most people who show rage on the road do not need medication, but some do and will benefit greatly from them.

Cognitive Training means learning to think differently about driving, aggression on the road, and other drivers. Cognitive training is an important element in many anger management programs, which a few states now require for "road rage" behavior and/or aggressive driving.

In our anger management classes and programs, we teach specific cognitive and behavior skills to control aggressive, inconsiderate, and dangerous driving behaviors. These skill include: *managing life stress better, including time-management skills *developing empathy for other drivers *learning healthy "self-talk" phrases *adjusting expectations of others on the road. <bio>Dr Tony Fiore is a licensed psychologist and anger management trainer.
Road Rage is a term that, unfortunately, we have become more and more aware of as the media covers an increasing number of "road rage" incidents. We're all aware of the shocking stories of mild mannered commuters turned cold blooded murderers, and we're fairly certain that this will never happen to us. We're right--we will probably never turn into a cold blooded murderer simply because some jackass cut us off on the freeway. While most of us are nearly immune to such heinous fits of rage, many of us fall victim to a milder sort of road rage.

I am guilty of having committed some pretty severe "road rage" infractions in my day. I was punished in high school for some very uncivil things I said (or rather, yelled) at a bus driver in the school parking lot. On the DC beltway, raising my middle finger (along with my voice) became a reflex; it was almost as natural as using the turn signal. I wasn't going to go out and kill someone; but my behavior sure could have gotten me killed.

This more mild type of road rage is very prevalent, and very harmful. Besides the obvious safety hazard that it poses, it is unhealthy and un-enjoyable for the Rager and his terrified passengers. The driver in a fit of traffic-inspired rage has high blood pressure (which has both immediate and long-term safety hazards), musculature tension, and high levels of adrenaline and cortisol. All of these things are a genuine hazard to a person's health.

Some people have reported having nightmares, experiencing excessive irritability after driving, and excessive anxiety because of these episodes. It is apparent that the person experiencing road rage is harmed in a significant way.

The good news is that road rage doesn't have to happen. There are ways to calm down and relax and deal with the stresses associated with driving in a healthy and productive way. Here are five tips that I've used to reduce my automobile related outbursts:

1) Breathing Techniques: I take a deep breath, hold it for a count of five, and release. Doing this several times actually reduces the tension that one's body is holding. While I'm doing this, I imagine that stress, anxiety and tension filling my lungs, and being blown out of my body when I exhale.

2) Avoiding the aggravating situations: For me, traffic is aggravating, but it is more aggravating when I am worried that it might make me late. Therefore, if I'm going to be driving somewhere that is likely to have traffic, I'll leave up to a half hour early, and bring a book or some work to do when I get there. Thus, my mind is put at ease and the traffic is easier to deal with. I also plan alternate routes that are less likely to get me caught up in a traffic mess. Each person has their own triggers for road rage situations, and it can be useful to sort through these triggers and try to avoid the stressful situation.

3) Posting Affirmations: I post affirmations in my car (one on my dashboard, and one on the wheel, right where I would press the horn. One of them says, "I am calm and cool because that is good for me. The one on the horn says, "I think before I speak".

4) Preparing for the critical time: I have two stress balls in my glove compartment, a CD with relaxing music, and a bottle of water in my car at all times. When things get tough, I put on the CD, get out the stress balls (both of which can be used during stop and go traffic), and take a drink of water. This is an excellent way to being the breathing exercises.

5) Changing the mindset: I have seen a hypnotherapist, and I continue to practice self-hypnosis to deal with anger issues in my life. I've done a lot of work with the triggers that I identified in tip #2. Now, a lot of the things that were bothering me, simply don't.

These five tips can take the edge off of your driving experience. The important thing to remember is that the rage is in you: it comes from you, it hurts you, and it torments you. You may be angry at someone or something else, but that anger is an internal thing. You owe it to yourself to address it properly. It isn't much of a safety issue for others--it is your own safety and health that is at stake. If you can change the way you react and the things you do, you can regain that happy experience of relaxing during your commute. About The Author: Kyle B.
Anger is a growing issue that is hitting our generation with its full force. With abusive relationships, road rage and violent attacks all on the increase =96 is our society more like a pressure cooker =96 and if so, what can we do about it? I remember a good few years back seeing the eruption into the limelight of road rage after a man was stabbed to death at the road side. Unfortunately it has become one of those stories that we see so often that it is sadly something that rarely shocks us anymore. In the last few years we have also watched the behaviour of `air rage' also thrust into the limelight. Let's hope that this doesn't become just another norm in our increasingly pressurised world.

Doing the job that I do as a hypnotherapist I have dealt with many cases from men and woman that just get a little flustered when they don't get their own way or can't get their point across. I have also dealt with people that in the same types of situations have used unacceptable force to make their opinions known. Unfortunately the difference in these two types of people is sometimes only time as if they don't learn to control their anger, it will ultimately get worse. The other thing that I notice when helping anger management clients is that it tends to be a Jackal and Hyde situation where they can actually be really nice people =96 until they get angry.

Nearly all of my past and present anger management clients have said that it is almost like other people are pressing their buttons or are winding them up when they get angry. However this is not true as what really is happening is that when a person becomes angry, they become more sensitive to certain things that are going on around them. Because of this sensitivity and anger that it is associated to, an angry person can perceive that someone else is winding them up, even is the other person is actually trying to help.

As a hypnotherapist, there are many techniques and ways of doing things that I can utilise to help with anger management in order to assist a client in bringing their emotions under control and also to communicate their points of view effectively. In fact, communication is a large part of the process as when a person can get the results that they want with someone else without losing control or flying off the handle then there is no need for anger to be used as a mechanism to get ones point across. <bio>For more on Richard's anger management technique and anger management in general please check his site http://www.richardmackenzie.co.uk/shop/anger-management-mp3.htm and http://www.richardmackenzie.co.uk/anger-management.htm </bio>

Being more cautious on the road is vital to avoid mishaps. Driving a car safely means anticipating possible problems that one may encounter due to hazards on the road itself or danger that may be posed by other drivers.

Mastering all the traffic signs and rules is not enough in traffic safety. Knowledge of defensive driving skills is a necessary tool to reduce risks of encountering accidents.

Advance Driving Skills

•	Automotive Maintenance -- Excellent driving starts with an excellently conditioned car. A driver must check his engine, brakes, wheels, and other parts of his car which may malfunction while on the road. A car that breaks down on the road is a potential road danger.

•	Do not surprise other drivers- Sudden lane changes, turns, or halts can lead to accidents most of the time, since other motorists are caught unaware of another driver's action. It is important to communicate what you intend to do to other drivers on the road. The car lighting system plays a crucial role in this aspect. Signal lights, tail lights, and headlights give other drivers an idea of what you want to do on the road having them react appropriately. This makes driving safe for everyone.

•	Be predictable on the Road- Defensive driving entails doing what you are indicating to do on the road. A blinking right turn light means not turning left or going straight for a few more meters. Improper use of the indicator lights may confuse other drivers which may contribute to a road disaster.

•	Enough Space -- It is best to avoid tailgating when driving to provide sufficient time and space before a driver stops his or her car. There must also be a lead time to foresee or preempt what other drivers may do on the road. It is also recommended to scan the road constantly and make an exit plan in your mind in case an accident should happen.

•	Right of Way -- Road signs are there to remind the driving public when to yield to other vehicles so accidents may be prevented. Yielding is also a form of road etiquette where a driver avoids delaying the other car who has the right of going first.

•	Just the Right Speed -- Speed limits on the road are to be respected by all vehicles.
The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rage+broadheads" rel="tag">rage broadheads are known for the superior performance and assured quick kills. The new design feature of these rage broadheads makes this possible. Here is a rundown of the design features.

Slipcam rear deployment mechanism

The patented Slipcam rear deployment mechanism of the blades on the rage broadheads makes it possible to ensure a quick kill of virtually any game. This special design feature means that the blades remain backwards until they actually make contact with the game. These blades of the rage broadheads are so sensitive to contact that as soon as the tip touches the game, the blades open out completely. Once this happens, the blades puncture through the game making a large diameter cut inside.

How the large cut happens

The tip of the blades of the rage broadheads is also extremely sharp and made of stainless steel. When it touches the game's skin it makes a precise cut on it. This is then further reinforced by the propelling blades, which open out completely forcing the cut wider open. The cut made by the blades of rage broadheads is twice as large as cuts made from a conventional broadhead. This leaves a large trail of blood which can be easily located by the hunter.

Opposite design compared to other broadheads

The typical broadheads available in the market have an exactly opposite design as compared to the rage broadheads. Instead of having blades backwards like the rage broadheads, these have blades outwards at the beginning. Also, unlike the rage broadheads blades which open on impact, the blades of conventional broadheads open up only once inside the game. Also, they may not open up completely inside leaving a very small cut as compared to the rage broadheads. In addition, most of the blades of conventional broadheads are made of substandard materials which means that the blades can break or bend easily especially if the impact on the game is very high. In contrast, the blades of the rage broadheads are made of sturdy stainless steel which means that they do not break or bend easily no matter how much the impact.

Shock absorbers

The presence of shock absorbers in the design of the rage broadheads means that even high impact hits on a game can assure straight and perfect shots. Even under high impact conditions there is virtually no deflection and the cut is made in straight alignment. The special ShockLock system keeps the blades in position. Compare this design element with the conventional rubber bands used in regular broadheads and you quickly realize why the rage broadheads are so effective. The absence of rubber bands minimizes loss and searching for them, not to mention the hassle of putting them back on the broadhead blades again. In this manner, the rage broadheads minimize time wasted in hunting for rubber bands and thus help the hunter focus on the game. With clear, straightforward and high precision shots always at hand, it is no wonder that it is easy to kill game with the rage broadheads.<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
Recently it was reported that a 41 year old driver was shot because he pulled into the exact change lane and a driver was angry with him for his slowness? Yikes it is terrible to read about this and so sad the desperation and daily blow ups that occur. This can happen alot when someone drives slowly in left lane, sees a tailgater or watches someone else steal a parking space.

Why else do we have road rage reactions? Seeing someone ignore a traffic sign, excessive honking, watching someone on their cell phone who is oblivious to traffic patterns and excessive speeding are other reasons. We even feel anger growing inside of us as we see others being aggressive on the highway. What does that ell us?

The truth is that when people are doing these activities they are already themselves in need of an anger management strategy, but it's a chain reaction then where observers around them get enraged as well by having to be subject to these behaviors. Is there a way to gain more control over our reactions that are the common cause of road rage? Can we stay calm if someone is making an obscene gesture on the highway? Why do we take things so personally when they are from a stranger?

As a therapist, I find that seeing the highway as a time to view one's mind with humor and to practice compassion and patience is a very good habit to get into. I'll try to think about the fact that people are struggling with fears of being late, family tensions or job issues and this contributes to poor and inattentive driving. I try to give someone a break. Don't take it personally or think someone is out to get you.

Gaining perspective is very important and I also remember that I won't be thinking about this situation an hour from now and it is going to pass. It is not permanent, you won't see these people again and it is temporary. You may ride this road daily to work but you don't even see the same people.

I'll breathe in slowly and exhale twice as slowly. This helps to calm the mind and is a good tool for stress control and staying centered. Relaxing music is calming and also using audio tapes on books or self-help lessons are great ways to use the driving time for self-growth.

There is no point in getting into a state while driving where you are sweating, have stomach cramps, look glaringly at others or have your heart racing. Just bring yourself back to your own breathing and how this situation isn't worth stressing over.

Road rage can be helped with anger management skills , techniques and tips so that your day is not carrying these dark feelings but you instead learn skills that keep you balanced and can make you a more harmonious person in all situations.

It is so worthwhile to cultivate because if you master this, you also master other situations such as a friend being late, a child picking on his younger brother or a significant other raising his or her voice. This is a true skill you can carry with you everywhere. <bio>Dee Cohen is a licensed social worker and yoga teacher.
Most people who start out with shooting can find the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rage+broadheads" rel="tag">rage broadheads quite intimidating. Not only are these too expensive to lose on account of a missed shot, you need to know how to shoot to get the best placement and hit. Here are some techniques to get you started.

Use the practice head first

The rage broadheads come with a free practice head that is included in the set. You need to use this practice head if you are practicing shots or trying to perfect the flight of the broadhead. Using the real blades can prove to be difficult to work with at the beginning since they form barbs and tend to stick onto the practice head. It is also almost impossible to replace the blades because the screws tend to strip. However, this is just a rumor as many people have not had much conclusive evidence yet.

Turkey hunting

If you are starting out and trying to use the rage broadheads for some real hunting action then try hunting turkey first. The trick is to start with the smaller birds and animals and then progress onto bigger animals. That way, the chances of losing game is lesser. Plus, with the impact and large diameter cuts these rage broadheads make it should be a cinch to get small game down easily.

Removing the broadheads

Once you have fired the rage broadheads you will obviously want to know the best way to remove them. A lot of people have struggled with it simply because they just pull out the broadheads. This can sometimes cause the blades to even break. One trick to successfully remove the broadheads is to push out the blades to the backside. Then start unscrewing the blades and then finally pull the arrow out. This way, you will not damage your rage broadheads blades in anyway.

Shooting with your practice head

The practice head is meant for just that -- practicing. It is in no way meant to shoot real game. The blades are very blunt and only shaped to make them look like the real blades of the rage broadheads. One good way to test the flight of these practice head blades is to take a Styrofoam sheet and then place a back support behind it. Then shoot at this target to see the effect. Typically, the practice head is going to fly just like the real rage broadheads blades. So, this will give you a fair idea about the flight of the blades.

The shot is subjective

While one hunter may find his or her practice head shooting well into a target, for another person it could be the exact opposite. It is best to avoid using a brand new target to check the flight with your practice head. Since the blades are blunt the impact may not be as much as is desired and it may not leave a mark as intended on the target. You can also use the real blades of your rage broadheads once you have finished using the practice head many times. This will give you a real good estimate about the flight of the blades and arrow shaft. Try using an existing target, which has already been used, if you are using the practice head.<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
The rage broadheads 100 gr 2 blade is fast catching up with the conventional field tip variants. While the latter have enjoyed the most popularity till date, it is now these 100 gr 2 blades that are slowly capturing market share. Here is an unbiased take on these blades.

Flight like field tip

One of the good things about the rage broadheads 100 gr 2 blade is that it shoots just as a regular field tip. That means, the flight is steady, straight and with minimal deflection involved. There are no angular shots which are common with so many other broadheads and the absence of any moving parts makes maneuver of these blades much easier.

Quality is excellent

The 100 gr 2 blades are made of pure stainless steel. Hence, you can be rest assured that the quality is excellent. These are very sharp 030 and 035 stainless steel blades which make a deep cut into the game. Plus since these rage broadheads blades are made of stainless steel you can be sure they will last quite sometime before they require replacement.

Easy slipping

One of the disadvantages of the 100 gr 2 blades of the rage broadheads is that they tend to slip out very easy. If you have a bunch of arrows in the quiver and are stalking game, these blades slip out with the slightest contact of touch. While this maybe a great quality when considering game impact, it can be bad when you are busy hunting game as you need to keep pushing the blades back.

Exact shots

These 100 gr 2 blades of the rage broadheads have minimal or no deflection and hence there are no angular shots involved. This means, that a perfectly aligned shot will shoot exactly at the location or target you want. As per the manufacturer's claims, these rage broadheads blades also open out as soon as the tip makes contact with the game, which is a huge achievement.

Huge cuts

The cut on impact design of these 100 gr 2 blades ensures that as soon as these rage broadheads blades hit the game they make a cut. Then immediately the blades open out leaving as much as a 1.5 to 2 inch diameter cut. Most conventional broadhead blades make just a 0.5 inch cut or even lesser. Thus, the 100 gr 2 blades of these rage broadheads ensure a nice blood trail.

Slipcam rear deployment

Unlike regular broadheads the 100 gr 2 blades of the rage broadheads have a special design feature known as the Slipcam rear deployment mechanism. This implies that the blades remain backward while in flight. Then as soon as the tip makes contact with the game these rage broadheads blades open out completely resulting in a huge cut in the game. This assures an instant kill on the very first shot.

With no angular shots, perfect flight like a field trip, large diameter cuts and a high success ratio at instant kill, the 100 gr 2 blades of these rage broadheads are a winner.<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
The rage broadheads have been cooking up a storm now in the world of bow hunting. They promise fast and assured kills with almost any kind of game. Most hunters are ready to pay the high prices too in return for the performance these rage broadheads provide. So, how do these achieve a quick killing?

No deflection

Regular broadheads always have deflection. This means, that when you fire a shot you can always expect some form of imperfection in the result. No matter how perfectly your shot has been placed, it will never be exactly like you hoped it would shoot. On the other hand, in the case of rage broadheads there is minimal or no deflection. Thus, when you fire a shot you can expect it to fire exactly as planned on target.

Large diameter cuts

The other reason why rage broadheads prove to be so successful at quick killing is because of the large diameter cuts they make on game. As soon as the tip touches the game the blades flip open completely causing a huge cut in the game. This is on account of their special Slipcam rear deployment mechanism which makes this functionality possible. Compare this to the other broadheads which have the exact opposite functionality. The blades of regular broadheads only open up when inside the game which is why the cut is not as big as with rage broadheads. The large cuts made by rage broadheads is almost twice as big compared to conventional broadheads. This leaves a substantial trail of blood and assures an instant killing.

No minimization of kinetic energy

The other good thing about rage broadheads is that they cause no reduction in kinetic energy. Unlike conventional broadheads which lead to a loss in kinetic energy, with rage broadheads there is no loss in energy. The blades slice through the game like a hot knife moves through butter! The movement of the broadheads is precise, smooth and in straight alignment. Even if you are off the mark by some amount, you can still expect these rage broadheads to deliver a decent hit.

No time wastage

Unlike other broadheads which come with rubber bands, the rage broadheads are devoid of them. Instead, it is a ShockLock mechanism, which holds the blades in place. The base of the head has a unique O-ring system that holds the blades in position. The locking of blades is easy and can be performed with one click. With conventional broadheads there is always a risk of losing the rubber bands and then spending time searching for them to fix the blades in place. This can cause unnecessary wastage of time, especially at crucial moments when you are hunting game. You may even lose your precious game because of time lost while hunting for the rubber bands. Thus, with the rage broadheads there is no risk of losing rubber bands or wasting time hunting for these. This also adds to the performance in ensuring quick kills of game<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
The new collection of rage broadheads is a fantastic set to have. Any hunter who is serious about getting game needs to get these. Not only do they have a great design they sure pack a punch when it comes to superior performance.

New design aspect

One of the distinguishing aspects about the new rage broadheads is that they come with a brand new design. The special rear blade propeller mechanism stays backwards until it hits the target. Upon impact, the blades fully open up. Compare this feature with the other broadheads in the market and you will soon find that other broadheads have an opposite design. That is, the blades remain outwards until impact. Then they open up only when inside the game. The rage broadheads, on the other hand, will open up as soon as the tip of the arrow shaft touches the game.

Large diameter cuts

One of the other significant distinguishing features of the rage broadheads is that it makes a huge cut into the game. The other broadheads in comparison make as little as half the size of the cut the rage broadheads make. This is because most conventional broadheads fail to open up their blades until fully inside the game. Also, the tip is not that sharp and often makes a measly cut on the game. This does not even leave a decent trail of blood as there is no exit hole in the game for the arrow shaft to leave. The rage broadheads leave a huge diameter cut because of the instant cut made as soon as the tip touches the game. Upon impact the blades fully open out leaving a huge cut into the game.

Minimal deflection

Most conventional broadheads tend to cause deflection in the arrow shafts. This means that you can never be sure that even a perfect shot will end up flying through the game in a straight shot. There is always the chance of an angular shot and a slight deflection involved. In comparison, with the rage broadheads, the special design feature makes sure that there is minimal deflection involved with the result that every shot is powerful and perfectly aligned.

No reduction in kinetic energy

Most other broadheads tend to reduce the kinetic energy of the arrow shaft once it touches the game on impact. This is because the high impact can cause a lot of shock on the tip of the broadhead, which in turn can cause a deflection. On the other hand, in the case of rage broadheads, since there are special shock absorbers there is not much of impact on touching the game. This results in a smoother cut and the broadhead literally slices into the flesh of the game. Thus there is no reduction in kinetic energy leading to a quick and easy kill of the game the very first time.

No rubber bands

The other difference between the rage broadheads and other broadheads is that these come with no rubber bands. The special ShockLock mechanism inside the rage broadheads ensures that the blades are firmly in their place. The base of the head comes with a special O-ring design feature. The locking happens easily with a click and the absence of rubber bands eliminates any chances of losing or replacing them.<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
The average cost of the rage broadheads is anywhere between 30 to 40 dollars. The fact that a practice head is included for free doesn't really add up to much especially when you see the price tag. Nevertheless, inspite of the price, many bow hunters have started buying these rage broadheads. We explore why.

High quality = high price

There is a saying that to get something of high quality you need to pay a price. In the case of the rage broadheads this fact holds truer than ever. The blades perform just as the manufacturers state. The special rear deployment mechanism ensures that the blades open out completely as soon as the tip makes contact with the game. In and industry where so much promised to the consumer is often left unattended to, the rage broadheads come as a breath of fresh air.

Superior performance

The Slipcam rear deployment mechanism on the rage broadheads blades ensure complete opening of the blades on contact with game. This leaves a massive cut through the game that is lethal and guarantees an instant kill. The absence of any deflection further ups the performance as the shot is straight and without any angles involved.

No rubber bands

Many conventional broadheads come with rubber bands and this means bow hunters have to spend a considerable amount of time searching for lost rubber bands or trying to attach them back again. Compare this with the rage broadheads which come with no rubber bands. The special ShockLock system inside holds the blades in place and locking is super easy with a slight click. This prevents the need to have any rubber bands in place which means no more time needs to be spent in searching for or attaching these bands back.

Exact and perfect shots

Most regular broadheads tend to have inaccurate shots even when the placement has been perfect. This is on account of deflection and angular shots happening. In the case of rage broadheads however, this is not the case. The absence of any deflection makes shots straight and perfect and you can shoot the target at the exact point you want to. The high precision of these blades in the rage broadheads makes this possible.

Extra sharp and precise blades

The stainless steel, 030 and 035 blades of the rage broadheads ensure a smooth and clean cut right through the skin of the game. Since these blades are made with stainless steel they offer a high degree of quality. There is no possibility of the blades rusting or getting spoilt. The blades are precise and sensitive to any sort of touch, so much so, that they open up easily the moment they make contact with any object. Thus, as soon as the tip touches the game, the blades spin into action, opening out fully, causing a deep cut in the game.

Thus, the rage broadheads assure instant and quick killing, high precision shots and minimal deflection. Considering the fact that no other broadhead has such functionality, it comes as no surprise that price is not a deterrent to purchasing these rage broadheads.<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
There are numerous strategic advantages that the collection of rage broadheads provide. Here we list down the six main advantages.

Minimal deflection:

One of the main benefits of the rage broadheads is that they help curb deflection to keep it to a bare minimum. Conventional broadheads have a risk of providing angular shots. This often causes inaccurate shots and even the most precisely placed arrow shots can become inaccurate when it touches the game. However, with the rage broadheads the special design features a tip that cuts the skin immediately upon impact. This in turn provides an easy passage for the rear blades to propel through and fully expand outwards. This way, there is no risk of an angular shot, or any sort of deflection. The arrow can pass through the game in a straight line, without any angle.

Opens out on impact

One of the other advantages of the rage broadheads is that they open out fully once they hit the target game. Most conventional broadheads fail to open fully outwards for quite a while until they are inside the target. The special rear deploying blade of the rage broadheads is useful to completely open outwards as soon as the blade makes contact with the game or target. This in turn facilitates a bigger wound diameter which results in an accelerated kill that is quickly performed. This is of course the main objective of any hunting expedition.

Zero reduction in kinetic energy

This is another advantage of these rage broadheads. Conventional broadheads have a tendency to lose out on precious kinetic energy once the blade deployment happens. However, with these rage broadheads the special rear deployment of blades facilitates minimal deflection and thus there is no loss of kinetic energy.

Larger diameter cut

Unlike conventional broadheads which make smaller diameter cuts, in the rage broadheads the cut is almost two times bigger. Just like a perfect field point the rage broadheads fly with complete precision and high speed and cuts through the game with a bigger circumference wound cut. There are two kinds of blades in these broadheads namely the 2 inch and 3 inch cutting blades.

Free practicing head included

The unique advantage of the new rage broadheads is that with every package there is a free practice head that is included. This can be very useful for any bow hunter who wants to test the broadhead's flying capability. You can use this practice head to test the manner of flying and see if this is comparable to the regular broadhead.

Without rubber bands

Last but not the least, the most significant advantage of the rage broadheads is that they come without any rubber bands. The interior ShockLock system keeps the blades in their place and there is a special O-ring over the head's base. All that one needs to do is to push the blade into the place and then lock it with a slight click. This will lock the blades into the position for shooting. Thus it eliminates the risk of losing rubber bands or even the tedious task of replacing them after a shot.<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
The new collection of expandable rage broadheads is sparking a literal revolution both in terms of design and performance. In the expandable broadheads category, the rage broadheads offer a brand new design, which is the highlight of the new collection.

Special deployment systems

The new rage broadheads feature a patented SlipCam Rear Blade Deployment System. Every blade is placed with cutting edge portions on the outside. Once the broadhead touches the target then the blades will be pushed backwards inside the ferrule. Inside this space these blades cam out into completely open position. Unlike the conventional broadheads found in the market earlier, the new rage broadheads promise superior performance and functionality and come with many advantages.

ShockLock systems

The new technology known as ShockLock is another attractive and exciting new feature of these rage broadheads. This is all set to change the way bow hunters perceive expandable arrowheads. Usually, the conventional expandables work by starting their flight with blades moved forward and then keeping the over the top when the broadhead hits the target. However, in the case of rage broadheads the blades begin the flight with blades kept backwards. This facilitates the complete deployment of the expandables once the tip and blade find contact with the target game. This overall impact can cause a highly accurate and deadly blow to the game all in one single shot. Thus, this is a strategic advantage to all bow hunters. The initial wound diameter is very large causing instant death to the animal. In fact, the blades are able to fully expand once they have initially impacted with the game. This makes the wound diameter which are twice the size produced from regular broadheads.

Free of rubber band

Another strategic advantage of the expandable rage broadheads is that these are free of rubber band. The locking system present internally is able to hold the blade back until it touches the game. Once impact is made the blades are completely deployed. The extra presence of a special o-ring absorber helps to absorb shocks from high impact hits. Incase the rage broadheads were to touch upon bone, then too these shock absorbers help absorb most of the impact and thus keep these broadheads performing well even after many years.

Minimal deflection

Another significant advantage that the rage broadheads have is that they help to reduce deflection to a bare minimum. In the case of conventional broadheads there is a possibility of getting angled shots. The special tip of the rage broadheads is able to make an incision on the very first contact, which then facilitates passage for the rear blades. This ensures that there is no loss in kinetic energy, which means that it is always a straight, accurate shot. The practice heads available from rage broadheads is in the three and two blade model types. With these cutting edge rage broadheads every bow hunter can now be assured that each shot is a powerful and perfect shot. All in all these represent great value for your money.<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
Many bow hunters have begun to realize the significant advantages of rage broadheads. Not only are they powerful, they offer high precision shots that create instant big cut diameters on first impact. Overall, rage broadheads offer a degree of precision and accuracy that is not provided by most broadheads in the market these days.

Conventional broadheads: the problems

The problem with most conventional broadheads is that they fail to penetrate the game poorly. There is also a lot of friction involved as soon as the tip touches the skin or bone of the game. Often, manufacturers of conventional broadheads incorporate over the top design aspects which can hinder with the performance. In general, such fancy designs can cause a large loss of kinetic energy, which results in inaccurate shots. Not only that, the reduction in kinetic energy can cause a lower impact penetration shot (sometimes half that of the head of a fixed blade). This results in a poor tissue penetration which often hampers the arrow to leave the body of the animal. It therefore does not result in any blood trail. On the other hand, in the case of rage broadheads the special design feature of rear deploying blades means that it results in a very high impact touch to the game resulting in huge diameter cuts.

Blades which are fragile

Most conventional broadheads also come with fragile blades. These often fail to open up as soon as the tip touches the game. It is only when the blades are inside that they completely open up. Also, since such blades do not come with back support they easily bend or break once they hit the game with high impact. This reduces their chances at killing the game on first shot. The expandable rage broadheads reduce any risks of these things from occurring. First, their unique design ensures that a cut is made as soon as the tip touches the game. Next, the blades open up as soon as the cut is made thereby resulting in a huge diameter cut on the game. The rage broadheads result in high impact and deep penetrating cuts on the game resulting in a surefire kill the very first instant. The sharp blades literally slice through the skin and bones of the game resulting in a decent trail of blood that ensures a sure kill. Besides, there is no reduction in kinetic energy whatsoever which means that the shot is straight and not angular. Therefore, there is less chance of inaccurate shots from happening.

Large diameter cuts

This is one of the biggest advantages rage broadheads have over their counterparts. The blades open fully once they touch the game resulting in a large circumference cut on the game. The expandable blades fly with the same superior performance and accuracy just like a regular field tip arrow. This way, bow hunters can be assured that the rage broadheads are indeed the best broadheads in the market today. No wonder then, that many archery experts are moving towards rage broadheads instead of conventional broadheads!<bio>Eagle Archery offers a great selection of Rage Broadheads.
One of the newer and most important fields of psychology today is that of traffic psychology. It may sound insignificant at first, but when one considers the amount of traffic accidents and deaths caused by traffic incidents, one starts to consider why these incidents keep on occurring and, more importantly, what the cause of these incidents may be. Traffic psychology is concerned with this very notion and aims to shed some light on some of our more interesting behavior tendencies.

Traffic psychology is very closely related to something known as transportation psychology, but the differences between the two sets are clear. Traffic psychology is primarily concerned with the study of behavior in people driving on the roads and how that behavior influences their actions on the road. This is where "road rage" and all sorts of other terminological distinctions come from. Transportation psychology is, on the other hand, concerned with how people move around in general and is significantly less exciting.

Behavior and Accidents

One of the most important things that traffic psychology touches on is the relationship of behavior and accidents. The study of this behavior usually depends on various ages of drivers and their mode of transportation. Traffic psychology in this area studies such things as the attentiveness of drivers while driving, the cognitive properties of drivers, the driver's fatigue or workload level and its impact on driving, and the social interactions of driving.

Many findings report some fairly obvious observations. The less social interaction a driver has with the other drivers on his or her road, the more likely an accident is to occur. Driver-to-driver communication is important to avoid collisions. Driver fatigue is also clearly an issue, as those drivers that are not properly rested before getting behind the wheel represent a certain risk to other drivers on the road.

Also important to look at in this area is the idea of driver personality. Drivers who are "risk-takers" are more prone to pass on a double-solid line or perform risky movements in traffic that can put other drivers at risk. This personality often influences many accidents because of the reckless abandon that the individual driver shows towards traffic and the social interactions of the other drivers.

Practical Applications

Traffic psychology has been used to perform a number of practical applications designed to make road travel safer for all drivers on the road. Traffic psychologists collaborate with engineers and city planners to plan roads to make them more effective and "driver-friendly." Traffic psychology is also used in terms of the economics of the road, with items such as toll booths and gas prices monitored to determine their impact on drivers in general.

Traffic psychologists also introduce educational methods by which to influence good driving behavior. Habits formed through bad traffic psychology are monitored and exposed with advertising campaigns, classroom instruction, and other public property tools. The "road rage" campaigns were one example of traffic psychology at work. Other campaigns involved with traffic psychology include drunken driving campaigns and other campaigns concerned with public safety on the roads. <bio>Find the best deal on the auto insurance coverage you need.
If you're working in a call center, you have no choice but to listen to each call. Some callers may be meanies spewing their rage. The courses cover topics like identifying different types of callers, managing angry and passive calls, and using different approaches to manage the calls. The course also teaches individuals how to stay cool and practice control.

Phone rage is the latest to hit the chart of top rages, coming a close second to road rage. Call center workers are dealt with this blow everyday and in every form, from whining to aggression. The courses proposed by call center gurus come at time when businesses handling call centers at are their wits end trying to solve the issue without losing customers.

Why the rage? Unsatisfied customer experiencing poor service are outraged over the fact that bills promptly arrive, yet service is slack. Some of the reasons for poor service, be it snapped cables, a writer's strike, and a host of other reasons, are simply beyond the business's control.

Diplomacy on Call

If you are a call center employee working the graveyard shift, phone rage can keep you seething overnight, as you are not allowed to blow your top. You can only listen and try to identify the source of the anger and employ a response that will not infuriate the caller any further.

Remember you are the business's front-liner and you cannot destroy the company's image just because of one nasty caller. Managing the anger at your level can be difficult, but knowing the process can ease things up. Like you, other call center employees feel they are guilty for all the accusations hurled at them when they should not be.

The recommended program coming from call center consulting programs outlines every situation and processes involved in handling aggressive calls. You will be made to understand that angry callers do not see themselves as raving mad maniacs but the aggrieved parties seeking redress.

Looking at the situation from this perspective helps you calm down. This should also help your colleagues in the call center. Consulting professionals who can help provide an action plan also benefit individuals stressed out from handling phone rage.

Technology and Psychology

If you are the business owner needing call center consulting service, discuss the possibilities of phone rage and how your people can handle the problem. Now, more and more consumers find themselves experiencing wrap rage.

Apparently first used in print in a 2003 item in London's Daily Telegraph, the term "wrap rage" is rapidly catching on as a name for that peculiar combination of irrational frustration and homicidal anger brought on by hard-to-remove product packaging. After turning up several times in UK media during 2003-4, the phrase gained recognition when Consumer Reports used it in a 2006 story announcing the magazine's new Oyster Awards, given to the most-fiendishly-packaged products of the year. After that, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported on the phenomenon, and popular comedian Steven Colbert dedicated a segment of his TV show "The Colbert Report" to it, as he tried in vain to open a package containing a new calculator with a knife.

Wrap rage can easily lead to injuries both minor and major, as well as to unintended hilarity (at the would-be package opener's expense). Finger cuts, shoulder strains and wounds to one's dignity (if in public) are among the commonest minor injuries, while more serious injuries include major cuts (as when a sharp knife slips off the slick packaging). One British newspaper reported recently that nearly 60,000 Britons sustain injuries requiring hospital treatment while grappling with food packaging every year. Meanwhile, in America, a typical figure is 200,000 packaging-related injuries in the year 2001 (the most recent figure available). That's no laughing matter.

What products are most likely to create wrap rage? Many authorities point to the CD, with its treacherous combination of insanely persistent shrinkwrap coating and ridged jewel-case edges (which lead to cut-up knuckles as you attempt to tear the package open for the nth time so you can enjoy your new copy of Astral Weeks). DVDs aren't far behind, along with computer components, convenience food, and plastic-encased children's toys. Energy-efficient lightbulbs can pose a serious problem. And of course, packages received in the mail--if mummified in packing tape by an overzealous sender--can out-wrap-rage nearly every item on this list. Moving boxes are frequent causes of wrap rage.

Wrap rage can be especially dangerous to the elderly and to sufferers from arthritis, but it can strike anybody. Folks working in shipping and receiving are likely to suffer from it, unless they've been provided with good box cutters. Office workers who handle large volumes of mail may struggle with frequent wrap rage. Those who buy and sell articles over the Internet--"eBayers," as they often call themselves--are at risk, as are consumers, as a whole.

Wrap rage is easy to recognize. Symptoms include (a) irrational persistence in tugging or picking at wrapping that obviously isn't going to budge; (b) sweating; (c) the use of foul language; (d) most importantly--and dangerously--the selection of unsuitable, unnecessarily sharp or powerful tools, or a resort to excessive force, in a last-ditch attempt to destroy the recalcitrant packaging. If you or a nearby person experiences wrap rage, set the package down, take a drink of water, count to ten, and think happy thoughts. Then go find a tool that's designed to open packages safely and quickly. For opening packages, knives and scissors aren't entirely safe. They're too prone to slippage. Fingernails, meanwhile, are rarely tough enough, and the claw of a hammer--an expedient sometimes resorted to by handymen--nearly always ends up tearing you and not the package. Chainsaws, meanwhile, are not recommended for indoor use.

But most wrap rage problems could be solved in advance by keeping a good package opener on hand--a safety knife specially designed to open boxes with a minimum of effort and a maximum of speed. Though many consumers still think of box cutters as a tool more appropriate for a mail room or shipping and receiving department, the utility knife is an everyday necessity in this age of consumer-unfriendly packaging.<bio>Safecutters Inc., provides an online store of utility knife box cutters for opening shipping boxes and shipping packages, as well as safety knives to open moving boxes and packages.
Rage Against the Machine tickets were some of the most sough-after on the music market in the 1990's. The band's eclectic mix of hard rock, funk and hip hop sounds took the world by storm, and their incendiary social beliefs have always been an integral part of the message they attempt to deliver. The band has been out of the spotlight for the past few years, but far from forgotten. However, Rage Against the Machine is set to return to the stage soon, and below we'll take a look at why this announcement has created such an unbelievable level of excitement.

Early Beginnings

The band came together quickly in Southern California in 1991. Guitarist Tom Morello had left his former band, Lock Up, and as he was deciding on the direction of his career, he went to a club one night in Los Angeles. It was at this club where he heard Zack de la Rocha rap, and he decided that the two of them could form the foundation for a powerful group. The two got together and recruited the other two original members of the band, Brad Wilk as the drummer and bassist Tim Commerford.

The group's first performance was humble in nature, but that status didn't last long. Their first gig was at a house party in Orange County, and their innovative sound was an immediate hit with local fans. The band gave itself its current name and began to play the club scene in Los Angeles and Orange County, and Rage Against the Machine tickets became an immediate draw.

Commercial Success

The band's growing reputation and following led many record labels to pursue them, and they ultimately decided on Epic Records because the company gave the band complete creative control. This control was a major issue, as the band's lyrics often contained searing social commentary and lyrics that were extremely controversial.

The band's first full album release, which was self-titled and put out in 1992, went triple platinum, and instantly installed the band as a household name with music fans everywhere. They continued their roll with each of their three subsequent releases, as all of them sold in huge numbers.

Their work was also noticed by industry experts, as Rage Against the Machine won two Grammy Awards and was nominated for several others. However, they were never really about commercial sales, but rather put their priority on live performances, which remain legendary in nature for their pure energy and anger towards authority in general.

Breakup and Reunion

In the year 2000, de la Rocha left the band because he did not agree with the overall decision-making of the band as a whole. This split persisted until early in 2007, when the band announced that it would be making an appearance at the Coachella Music Festival in Southern California. This announcement has created a frenzy of excitement, and Rage Against the Machine tickets are sure to be one of the biggest draws at this enormous musical celebration. <bio>Written by Jay Nault, sponsored by http://www.stubhub.com/ .
