It's been around since the late 1800's but really coming into it's own in the early 1900's, the coffee press is a hot coffee brewing device that at first glance looks very simplistic but brews a cup of coffee like no other. Ask any coffee enthusiast about a coffee press pot and chances are you're in for a chat that will last longer then just a minute or two. It's the ultimate brewer to create a fabulous smelling, aroma rich, wonderful flavored, coffee.

How Does A Coffee Press Work?

A coffee press, as mentioned looks like a very simple device, basically like a coffee maker carafe with a rod down the center connected to a round filter. The filter via the rod can be moved from the top to the bottom of the glass carafe, this allows you to separate the coffee grounds from the water.

So how does it actually work? Coffee beans are first ground very coarse, they need to be more coarse then you would use in a drip coffee machine so that when the boiling water is poured over them the water can absorb the flavor, aroma, and acids from the beans. Water is boiled and poured over the grounds with the plunger filter out. The filter is replaced inside the carafe, the rod is pushed downwards into the carafe to separate the grounds form the water, leaving you with a aroma rich pot of coffee.

Pros and Cons of a Coffee Press

Of course any device has it's pros and cons, a coffee press is no different. A die hard coffee fan will surely appreciate the rich flavor textured coffee it produces. Not to mention it doesn't require any paper filters. Of course there is a downside, coffee from a press should be drank almost immediately to really take advantage of the flavor, also there can be some sediment left at the bottom of your cub due to the coarse grounds that are used. Some believe that the sediment that is left can cause your cup to go bitter.

All in all a coffee press is the original way to make a cup of coffee. While things have changed greatly due to technology, it's still a standard for many. Of course an electric machine is faster and easier to use, it doesn't produce the same exquisite taste found from a press. For those that are looking for a time saving option in the morning for their coffee, stick with your auto drip machine, but if you're looking for that all natural wonderfully brewed cup of joe consider a press, even if it's just for the weekends. <bio>For more information on making the perfect cup of coffee with a coffee press pot take some time to browse our http://www.espresso-and-coffee.com/ website with more a </bio>

Coffee is probably one of the most popular beverages consumed by adults, yet many do not know coffee history very well. Understanding cofee history will make you appreciate that rich aroma you love so much. According to Arabic legend an Arabian goat herder was going about his daily activities when all of a sudden his flock of goats began dancing around a green leafy plant. The plant appeared to have cherries growing from it, the goat herder decided to give this fruitful plant a try. He noticed that he was experiencing a stimulating effect that allowed him to stay awake for hours. Once he let others in on his secret, they began using coffee for the same reason. It is said that once introduced to a priest, he began promoting coffee and its effects throughout the monastery for continued prayer sessions. Low and behold, we had an eye opening beverage that would soon become a frequent pick me up favorite.

Coffee History Begins in Ethiopia

Although many believe the goat herding legend as to be true in discovering coffees history, others need a more evidence than this to believe in when it came to discussing the history of coffee. Scientists have discovered botanical evidence that proves that coffee Arabica began in Ethiopia and then was somehow taken to Yemen, where it was then served up in the Mecca in one of the very first coffee houses in history since the 6th century. It became more of a personal favorite used for enjoyment, rather than putting it to use for its stimulating effects.

America Loves It

Wherever it originated, coffee is a popular choice of hot beverages. The number of coffee houses open for business now is amazing. There is one on every corner in America and is served in a variety of different ways. You can know get coffee drinks hot or cold, with or with out flavoring and it is made to order. Many prefer instant coffee when serving coffee in their homes. This shows just how far coffee has come since its history began.

Coffee, Coffee, and More Coffee

Now it seems as though we are obsessed with coffee, you can find it everywhere. Coffee candy, coffee ice cream, coffee syrup, coffee creamers and the list will continue to grow. With coffee being such a favorite, did you ever stop to think that we had an Arabian goat herder to think for this rich tasting drink we all enjoy so much? <bio>Roland Jefferson is an online researcher based out of Los Angeles, Calfornia.
Java coffee=85 it sounds a bit redundant, doesn't it? Many people call coffee java, just like they may say they want a cup of joe. In reality, Java coffee refers to coffee grown on the island of Java, the largest island in Indonesia. Java coffee was so popular and was exported around the world, that many Americans just used the term `java' as slang to mean coffee in general. And there is good reason for that.

The history of Java coffee is a long one. The Dutch brought coffee to Java in the 17th century, and it has been a major export for Indonesia ever since. They planted Arabica beans, but a coffee rust plague wiped many of the coffee plants out in the 1800s. The Dutch replaced them with Liberica beans, which while hardier, did not please the palate as much. Most of the beans grown in Java today are of the Robusta and Arabica variety.

Java coffee has a distinctive flavor that true coffee aficionados revere=85 it is known to be strong, spicy and sweet. The specific growing conditions on the island of Java create the flavor of the coffee beans grown there, and while they share similarities with coffee grown in other places, they have differences too. Coffee flourishes at an altitude between 3,000 and 6,000 feet in Java, with the majority of it being grown on a plateau around 4,500 feet. The coffee plants really thrive in the volcanic soil, which is rich in nutrients, and provides good drainage to the roots.

Even the area in Java influences the coffee=85 the most sought after Java coffee comes from the far eastern side of the island, near the Ijen volcano complex. There are four main coffee farms in this area, all started originally by the Dutch hundreds of years ago. These farms are now run by the Indonesian government, and they grow 85% of the coffee on Java.

Java coffee is wet processed, with the beans being pulped immediately after harvest, then washed. The beans are dried and rested for many weeks before being sorted and sent to the roasters. In fact, one variety of coffee, known as Old Java or Old Brown, is aged for two to three years. Java coffee beans are often added with others from different areas of the world to create unique blends. Java coffee beans produce a rich coffee with chocolate undertones, and when paired with Mocha, creates the ever-popular Mocha-Java blend.

Coffee has become part of Java's culture as well as a primary agricultural product. Visitors are handed a cup of coffee in homes before they even ask for one. It is part of the fabric of everyday life in Java. So, if you have a cup of Java coffee, you may be inclined to spare a thought to the long history and culture that lies behind those beans that lent their flavor to that dark liquid you are enjoying. Java coffee is one of the world's most famous brews, and will continue to be for a long time. <bio>http://www.factsoncoffee.com </bio>

Folgers Coffee

Most of us are familiar with the famous Folger's slogan: "The best part of waking up is Folger's in your cup!" Folger's Coffee was founded by James A. Folger in the 19th century in San Francisco. Proctor and Gamble acquired Folger's in 1963, after it had become one of the major brands of coffee in America. Folger's not only offers several basic coffees, but has developed Folger's several gourmet selections as well.

For those who use ground coffee on a daily basis, Folger's Classic Roast is the most popular. Folger's Simply Smooth collection was created for those who love coffee, but have sensitive stomachs. It comes in regular and decaffeinated. Simply Smooth is created by choosing quality coffee beans and roasting them to a level that will ensure good flavor without irritating sensitive stomachs.

The Folger's Coffeehouse Series offers something for everyone. Starting on the mild side, Folger's Breakfast Blend offers a mild, smooth coffee flavor. Moving on to a medium roast, their new House Blend has full flavor and a caf=E9-style richness. Heading into the medium-dark roast, Folger's French Roast is hearty and robust in the French tradition of coffee. Also in the medium-dark range is their 100% Columbian which offers a rich and unique flavor. Folger's newest offering in dark-roasted coffee is called Black Silk, which is described as smooth, with a subtle smoky note. Finally, Folger's gold standard coffee is the dark-roasted Gourmet Supreme, a smooth, rich, full-bodied coffee.

Folger's Flavors gives the coffee fan even more to experiment with. Chocolate Silk combines the richness of chocolate with a full-bodied coffee flavor that appeals to chocolate fans everywhere. Cinnamon Swirl adds a delightful hint of cinnamon to a rich coffee. French Vanilla is a very mellow coffee with the enticing scent of vanilla, and finally, Hazelnut combines a rich nuttiness to another mellow coffee.

And finally, we have Folger's Gourmet Selections. Bistro Blend is a medium roast coffee that is available as ground coffee, perfect for drip coffee makers. Cr=E8me Brulee is a ground coffee with a unique light flavor. Lively Columbian is a rich, full-bodied medium-roast coffee available in decaffeinated, ground and in whole bean.

Morning Caf=E9 is a light-roasted coffee with a delicate bright taste. It is available in ground. Caramel Drizzle is another ground coffee with a rich creamy finish. Hazelnut Cr=E8me is enticing, rich and smooth, and is available in ground and in whole bean. Chocolate Truffle is a must for chocolate lovers. It is creamy and rich with a distinctive chocolate flavor you won't soon forget. Vanilla Biscotti is smooth and creamy with a luscious vanilla finish. It is also available in both ground and whole bean. Espresso Roast is a bold and intense ground coffee, perfect for anyone who truly loves the full flavor of coffee.

Folger's still makes instant coffee as well=85 the well-known Folger's Crystals, and now in single serving packets as well. They also make three Cappuccino flavors that make an instant cup.

Folger's also makes Coffee Pods, which work with the Home Caf=E9 system to brew one perfect cup of coffee at a time. Coffee Pods come in a variety of flavors. The pods look similar to a round tea bag, and are placed into specialized coffee makers by Krups and Black and Decker. <bio>Administrator of http://www.factsoncoffee.com A site providing many, many types of Coffee Information. </bio>

A good cup of coffee is like fine wine and good quality cigars. There are various different types of coffee beans and these determine the flavors that the blend presents for the coffee connoisseur.

Many coffee makers blend a combination of the lower cost Robusta beans with the more expensive Arabica gourmet beans. The Arabica beans have a finer aroma, a richer flavor and more body than the less expensive beans.

The quality of the coffee is dependant on the proportions of the mix of these beans. Quite often a coffee might be advertised as a blend of gourmet beans and lower grade beans when in fact there are only small traces of the gourmet beans in the blend.

The gourmet beans gain much of their flavor from the soils they are grown in, with the best beans coming from the volcanic regions where the rich soils produce the best tasting beans.

Coffee should always be made from fresh beans as the quality diminishes rapidly with age. This is quite noticeable when comparing a supermarket grade coffee with a coffee made from freshly ground beans at a coffee shop. Bear in mind that the supermarket coffees generally have a lower blend quality and in many cases the blends also have a proportion of older beans to reduce the production costs.

The only way you can be assured of quality and taste is to buy fresh gourmet quality. Once you have acquired the taste for gourmet coffee you might never want to drink commercial grade coffee again.

You can buy coffee from many different regions throughout the world and each one has it's own unique flavor.

Coffee aficionados can pick the region where the coffee bean was grown just by tasting it. The method of processing the beans also has an effect on the final flavor so you can't always assume that a coffee will be good just because it came from a particular region.

Coffee is one of the world's most popular beverages and more suppliers are catering to the needs of an ever-growing demand. <bio>Graeme Ramsey is a freelance writer on many different topics. http://www.coffee-facts.info </bio>

Melitta Coffee

Melitta's US headquarters are located in Florida, and they are part of the Melitta Group of Minden, Germany. Their coffee roastery is in New Jersey. Melitta coffee is a well-known brand today. Melitta is named after Melitta Bentz, a German housewife who, in 1908, revolutionized how we make coffee. One day, in the hopes of reducing the sediment in her coffee, she punctured holes in the bottom of a brass pot, and lined the pot with a sheet of her son's blotting paper. The coffee she poured in strained through very well, giving her a wonderful cup of coffee with no sediment. In July of that same year, Melitta received a patent on her "filter top device lined with filter paper." She was soon in business, and Melitta the coffee company was born.

Today, Melitta continues to make coffee filters, and specializes in gourmet coffee in both ground and whole bean. Melitta coffee makers are also extremely well-known among coffee connoisseurs.

Whole Bean Coffees

Melitta's whole bean selection of coffee includes a Kona Blend from Hawaii, 100% Columbian, which makes a deep, rich and robust coffee and Hazelnut, which offers a delightful mixture of coffee's richness with a touch of hazelnut.

Ground Coffees

Melitta coffee is available in many different varieties already ground. Their Classic Roast is made of 100% Arabica beans, and has been a household favorite for over 25 years. It is also available decaffeinated. If you prefer ultra-dark, rich, full-bodied coffee, try their 100% Columbian coffee=85 it was judged "America's Best" by the American Tasting Institute.

Melitta's Classic Lite is perfect for coffee drinkers who love the rich flavor of coffee, but are sensitive to caffeine and acidity. Classic Lite features 40% less caffeine, and 45% less acidity.

Hazelnut features a delicate aroma, and a rich, mellow nutty flavor. A perfect dessert coffee, it is a sweet reward anytime. Vanilla Almond is another flavored coffee. Blending creamy vanilla with almond's nutty flavor creates a very special coffee with complex flavors.

Lawa'i Estate is an exotic Hawaiian coffee from Kauai. Smooth and balanced, it will give the flavor of the islands. Chucaras Springs Estate is a rich, strong coffee from Costa Rica=85 truly unique flavors that you can only get from Central America. Villa Luz Estate is from Columbia, one of the world's greatest coffee growing regions. Villa Luz grows a truly superior coffee.

If you enjoy different coffees throughout the day, you may enjoy this trio. Morning Bliss Organic is a light roast with a bright, smooth character. Enchanting Evening Organic is a dark roast featuring a deep flavor with a little hint of smokiness. Finally, Sun and Moon Organic is a unique blend of light and dark roasts, creating a complex coffee that is bold and rich, finishing intensely.

Melitta makes a single serving coffee maker, the One:One. Melitta's coffee maker is made to take their Javapods and make a single cup of incredible coffee. Each cup is freshly made, and you never need to finish the pot before you make another again. <bio>Administrator of http://www.factsoncoffee.com A site containing many, many types of coffee information. </bio>

A great day begins with a cup of freshly roasted coffee. And that you get from an excellent coffee pod. Pods or coffee pods or espresso pods are a simple way to get a perfect espresso and with excellent results.

But for the beginners let's answer a simple question first i.e. what are coffee pods? Coffee pods are freshly roasted coffee, ground perfect, tampered to the correct pressure and then encapsulated in a paper. It is the beginning of a rich experience of the way you drink coffee.

The original pod was first designed by Illy caffe around 10 years ago. It was the year 1996 when Illy opened its idea to the coffee industry to bring a standard pod size to the market. Many coffee machine makers now offer adaptors with their machines to accept pods.

By using them in your machine not only can you guarantee perfect results, there is no mess and they help to look after your machine. In fact used ones can even be used as fertilizer for your garden as well. That is why a rich coffee taste is always benefiting.

If you are an espresso connoisseur by heart you can find a great relief with the coffee pods. As an espresso lover you understand that there are many ways of preparation where the espresso can get wrong, the grind, the measurement, freshness, the roast, tampering, temperature, water pressure are some areas which one has to watch out to make that special cup of coffee.

Now if you wonder what the best kind of coffee pod is, the answer is the home made one. Don't be shocked, it is true to the last drop of espresso. You can actually make them from your freshly roasted coffee beans. Although it is not that easy but it is sheer fun and little adventure to make one in your kitchen itself.

What you need is your favorite freshly roasted coffee beans perfectly grounded to fine powder, a sheet of filter paper and some kitchen tools. The first step to get a home made is to get the correct measuring scoop for the size of the pod. Take the coffee style filter paper sheet and put it in the scoop.

The next step is to find a glass bottle or something similar which can be used to pressure the paper in that scoop. If you have found the right size of glass jar (in most cases you will) center the filter around the jar and do it by putting the combination back in the scoop leaving a cup shaped filter paper in the scoop. Add one scoop, or about 2 teaspoons of your favorite ground coffee to this paper-filter-cup more or less to taste.

The typical coffee scoops that come with makers hold about 7 grams of coffee which is just about right. Give the cup a slight shake to evenly spread the grounds across the bottom of the filter, and then use your finger to gently fold over the extra filter material, completely covering the ground coffee. For a really well-formed pod, you can place the jar into the scoop one last time and press down really hard with the palm of your hand.

At last your favorite coffee pod is now ready to be put into the espresso machine to enjoy that rich taste of coffee. And who said coffee is not about fun. <bio>For more information visit our website http://www.COFFEEFUN.COM </bio>

How many times have you sat down on a sofa, and realized that the coffee table was out of place with the rest of the teak wood furniture? That it was either too high to be comfortable, too low, too small, width or length wise, or perhaps too large. Finding a coffee table that really works is not the easiest thing to do. In fact, it's one of the most difficult pieces of furniture to fit into your d=E9cor.

There is no right standard when it comes to coffee tables, there isn't a standard height, width, or length when it comes to coffee tables. It's as easy as choosing the one that fits you the best. However, there are tons of ways to get it wrong. It doesn't matter whether you are getting an outdoor coffee table or getting a coffee table to suit your teak wood furniture arrangement, there are some serious don't's when it comes to picking a coffee table. First, check the room's dimensions or the dimension of your outdoor space.

Coffee tables are designed to be the centerpiece of a seating arrangement so keep that in mind. An outdoor coffee table is no different, you're going to want to cluster a teak wood furniture design around it and you're going to want to make sure there is enough room to move around without your outdoor coffee table from detracting from the space. Small space, small outdoor coffee table; large space, large outdoor coffee table. Don't turn your outdoor coffee table into a place to store things - that isn't the point of an outdoor coffee table.

An outdoor coffee table is designed to bring attention to your teak wood furniture or outdoor room, so your outdoor coffee table should have something attractive placed on it, if you have to have something placed on your outdoor coffee table. When purchasing an outdoor coffee table, keep in mind what it's going to be used for. Also make sure it matches the rest of your teak wood furniture pieces. An outdoor coffee table should be some place that can be used to place drinks and perhaps small plates of snacks. An outdoor coffee table is not a dining table, you don't want to have it too high. An outdoor coffee table is not a Japanese style table, you don't want your outdoor coffee table to be an ankle biter. Take a little time and figure out exactly what you need in your outdoor coffee table before you invest the money in a product you might not be happy with. <bio>Our selections make it easy for you to enjoy classic teak furniture from http://www.gardenteakfurniture.com a known facet of prestige and fashion. Teak wood furniture like coffee tables found at http://www.gardenteakfurniture.com/tables are the classic alternative for patio furniture, and will continue as such. </bio>

A coffee maker is an electric appliance that produces brewed coffee automatically, consisting of a hotplate, coffee pot, filter basket, and water reservoir. When it comes to coffee makers there are many, many to choose from. But if you are a coffee lover, you are probably very discriminating in your preferences so it's worth your time to do your analysis.

But first, determine what you want in a coffee maker. Are you satisfied with going to the nearest box store and picking one up for about twenty dollars? That's fine, they make a decent cup of coffee. Or maybe you're looking for something with a bit added style. Something that will fit into your kitchen decor nicely. Or something of best quality that will outlast the 20 buck special.

What options are essential to you? Should it have a clock built in that will allow your coffee to be ready and waiting when you hit the kitchen? Programmable coffee makers are a type of coffee maker that is becoming additional more popular not only in the workplace, but in homes as well.

Another type of coffee maker that is gaining popularity is the single cup type. Whether you just need one cup of Joe to start the day or you are trying to limit your caffeine intake by fixing just one cup at a time, the single cup coffee makers are an excellent solution. They are also accomplished for the stay at home types who may just want a single cup mid-day and don't want to make a whole pot. They also are available in a programmable version.

There are many ways to brew your coffee using the ever-reliable coffee maker. Decaf and coffee types that contain caffeine can be equally as appealing to the taste buds. For an analysis of more coffee subjects, visit http://www.fmcoffee.com.

As you begin your analysis of coffee makers, the first thing that you need to think about is what kind of coffee drinks you want to make. Do you prefer regular coffee, espresso, latte, or cappuccino? Espresso makers create a powerful and strong coffee that can really wake you up in the morning. But maybe that's not you cup of tea. Just know that there are unique and different types of cappuccino, espresso and coffee makers on the market.

If you are a gourmet coffee drinker, you may want to opt for a Cafetiere. A Cafetiere is a French coffee maker that is also known as a French press. Since no filters are used, this coffee pot makes rich, strong coffee. But beware: if you are not going to serve the coffee immediately, avoid using a Cafetiere. If left to sit, your coffee will continue to brew and you will be left with a coffee that is very bitter.

So weather it's a single cup style, a traditional coffee maker, an espresso, capuccino, or latte type, enjoy your down time with a terrific coffee. And here's a bonus: once you have a new coffee maker, you will be able to save time and money by spending less time waiting in lines at the coffee shop. <bio>Yvonne Volante, the author, loves her coffee and writes for fmcoffee.com, which is the premier coffee resource on the internet.
Coffee, the most popular beverage the world over, has been in use from time immemorial. The making of coffee has always been a matter of interest and innovation and has undergone drastic changes over time. The evolution of coffee making from the early boiling of ground beans, and then the conventional filter over a small pot of boiled water, has finally reached modern standards.

The wide variety of coffee that is available in the markets and coffee shops induced the modern home maker to go for a coffee maker to enjoy the luxury of a satisfying cup of coffee of choice at any given point of time. Today the espresso coffee and cappuccino coffee that were once available only in restaurant or a modern coffee shop can be easily made and enjoyed at the comfort of home with the help of a coffee making machine.

The coffee maker is an innovation of the advanced technology and rich experience. The machine has a built in grinder to have a fresh ground beans that saves the job of grinding outside giving each cup of coffee with freshly ground beans. The proper mix the machine makes make available strong coffee with proper flavor and rich aroma. The espresso coffee maker on the other hand also adds proper quantity of milk at the most appropriate temperature and time, challenging even the most gifted human coffee maker in the world.

The utility of this home product has made this kitchen marvel, a common item in the modern kitchen at par with the micro wave oven or the electric kitchen mixer. Coffee makers are plentiful in the market in various sizes and capacities. However, the smaller machines are the one most in demand. The single cup coffee maker has flooded the market since many of the families have either few coffee drinkers or they prefer to reduce the intake of caffeine.

The quality of coffee comes from its flavor, aroma and taste in that order resulting from the proper mix of milk, water and the best ground beans in the market. It is said that the best beans make the best coffee. The best coffee beans of the world are obtained from the Central America, and some parts of Africa and Asia having identical climate. The beans grown in this area has the perfect flavor and quality. The best ground beans also need a perfect blend of milk and water to produce the best coffee.

The roasting of the beans is an art though the method differs. The objective is to get the beans roasted up to the point when the beans give the best flavor and Aroma. Many a drink has come and gone but this beverage still remains the most liked and favored. It is not the beans not even the process of roasting and grinding but the skillful art of coffee making that made this drink irresistible through out the ages. <bio>The author is a regular contributor to http://www.coffeemakertips.com where more information about coffee, coffee makers, grinders and other accessories is available. </bio>

If you hate your worktops full of clutter, you need a built in coffee maker. This appliance can be used at all times while still giving you the space to cook or entertain. A built in coffee maker allows you to enjoy your coffee while maximizing the space around you.

The built in coffee makers are plumbed directly into the electric and water supply so there is no need to have to keep re-filling it like a standard kettle or coffee machine. Built in coffee makers can be very expensive but they do have the added convenience of just having to press a button to get a steaming cup of hot coffee in seconds.

You can even buy a built in coffee maker that has a built in coffee grinder attached to it. This will enable your coffee to be brewed using fresh beans, however built in coffee makers like this can cost thousands of dollars.

Built In Coffee Makers That Do Not Require Plumbing

If you are unable to afford the huge price tags that some of the coffee machines are asking then why not opt for a built in coffee maker that does not require to be plumbed in. These are far cheaper and can be fitted to a wall or underneath a cabinet or even on a bracket. These built in coffee makers still keep your surfaces clutter free.

There are a few advantages to the more expensive models of a built in coffee maker as they usually are self-filling, adding just the right amount of water after each brewing. All the user need do is add fresh grounds and turn it on.

A built in coffee maker is very popular these days as coffee machines have seen a surge in sales and they are currently the 'must have' product for your kitchen. The coffee machines are available at almost every electrical store but it would be best if you shopped around and internet prices are generally much cheaper than those on the high street. <bio>http://mycoffeearoma.com is an informative site relating to coffee, coffee makers, coffee machines, coffee grinders, coffee recipes and all related material to coffee. </bio>

Although there are different methods for producing a great cup of coffee - from instant coffee to complex cappuccino machines - most people tend to make theirs with the simplicity of an electric coffee maker. But there are other methods accessible to you that can make a great cup of coffee, such as French press coffee. If you haven't seen one in use, then you're missing out on a simple way to produce a rich cup of coffee.

The Pot

The main hardware for French press coffee is the plunger pot, and it's basically all you need in order to make coffee with this method. It consists of a small jug with a sort of plunging mechanism on top. This plunger has a sort of mesh on it which is used to filter out the coffee grounds. In order to make French press coffee, you add water directly to the grounds in your plunger pot and let it steep for a few minutes. You then push down on the plunger to filter out the grounds from the liquid. The making of French press coffee is no more difficult than that, easy enough for anyone to operate.

The Coffee

When you grind your beans for French press coffee, you want to shoot for a coarse grind, since larger pieces will get filtered out better by the mesh of the plunger. French press coffee will produce a stronger brew than you'll get with a coffee machine, which is great if you like a coffee with a lot of flavor. Keep in mind that with this method, there will be some small particles in the coffee after pouring. This is normal, and it doesn't mean that you're doing something wrong.

One thing to know about French press coffee is that it should be served right away, since the water and grounds are still in contact. If you wait too long, the mix will become unpleasantly acidic. So don't make French press coffee and expect it to be good for a second cup in an hour. For this reason, most plunger pots are small in size.

Convenience

French press coffee is remarkably easy to make and low-tech, since you can make it without electricity. For this reason, it's great on camping trips, since the plunger pot fits easily in a backpack and can be used outdoors. Similarly, for those traveling without guarantee of a coffee machine at their destination, a French press coffee jug can fit easily in your travel bag and ensures you can have a cup wherever you go. With the convenience, ease of use, and flavor that French press coffee making provides, it is sure to be a hit with you and your family. <bio>Roland Jefferson is an online researcher based out of Los Angeles, Calfornia.
Do you love your coffee? Can you go a day without a cup of your favorite drink? Coffee as we know it today is much different than when it was first discovered. These days there are so many varieties of gourmet coffee that it is difficult to choose a favorite one.

What Exactly Is Gourmet Coffee?

A cup of gourmet coffee is a relatively new idea. Gourmet coffee is usually only made from Arabica beans, which are usually the coffee beans with the fullest flavors. The general average jar of coffee which you buy in supermarkets is made using a mixture of beans using low grade Brazilian coffee beans and Robusta beans. They also add a small amount of the Arabica coffee beans to ensure a nicer flavor than using just the low grade beans. Also the lower grade beans contain more caffeine than the others.

Usually, gourmet coffee is roasted at the plant and makes it into the consumer's hands within a week. You can buy pre-ground gourmet coffee, but the preferred way to buy it is while it is still in its bean form. The beans can usually be ground at the store you buy them from.

Commercial coffee is also usually not as fresh. Commercial coffee is pre-ground before it is packaged. After packaging it can take several weeks to actually make it to a grocery store. Usually, the longer pre-ground commercial coffee sits on a shelf waiting to be purchased, the staler and bitter it will become. Generally, the biggest advantage of commercial coffee is that it is cheap compared to some types of gourmet coffee.

The two most important things to remember when looking for gourmet coffee is that it is fresher and has more flavor than the commercial jars of coffee. Another important point to remember with gourmet coffee, is that you can choose where the coffee beans have come from and also know how it has been roasted. If you have yet to try a cup of gourmet coffee, you will not be disappointed. You will be spoilt for choice in the world of gourmet coffee, give it a try. You can find small bags so that if you decide you don't like that particular variety, you don't have a 10 pound can in your kitchen still full of coffee. So give gourmet coffee a try, and if you find it is not to your liking you can always revert back to your old ways! <bio>http://www.mycoffeearoma.com is an informative site relating to coffee, coffee machines, coffee mugs, coffee beans, and all things related to coffee. </bio>

More importantly, all the variances affect the flavor and aroma. Many coffee drinkers are not aware of how gourmet coffee should taste since their senses have been desensitized with below-par coffees.

Beans

The gourmet coffee bean is considered to be among the finest coffee beans in the world. When doing your legwork for the perfect gourmet coffee, there are a number of things to be cautious about. One thing you should know is whether the beans are fresh Arabian beans blended with stale French Roast. Are the coffee beans roasted in house or locally, or are they shipped from across the country to sit on a shelf waiting for orders. If possible, get coffee beans that have been roasted less than 1 week before.

Quality

The dictionary defines gourmet nourishment like this, andquot;Gourmet foodstuff is that which is of the highest quality, perfectly prepared and artfully presentedandquot;. Commuters can consider making gourmet coffee beverages at home or the office before departing and enjoy it at home or work while spending quality time with the family and coworkers or take it along in a commuter coffee mug. Gourmet coffee beans go through a rigorous process of certification that is stricter to help keep the quality high.

As a coffee aficionado, you know that there is some extra work to making excellent coffee than simply brewing it. You need to choose the highest quality beans to get the highest quality coffee. Today you can buy quality wholesale gourmet coffee and the right coffee machine to get the coffee you deserve. In addition, only Arabic beans contain the high quality needed for gourmet coffee beans. The quality of a coffee bean depends vastly on where and how that particular coffee bean is grown.

Grind

By grinding your own coffee beans, you'll be able to only grind what you need, meaning that you will have complete freshness in your coffee. The best way to do this is to buy the whole bean in batches and grind them with yur own grinding machine as you need it. But be careful: The type of coffee grind that you use is critical in order to properly match the type of brewing method you will be using. Be sure to ask your coffee merchant which grind is best for you. <bio>Yvonne Volante, the author, is a big fan of gourmet coffee and writes for fmcoffee.com, which is the premier coffee resource on the internet.
Have you seen the choices in coffee makers today? Have you seen what they can do? I don't think it will be long before they are able to bring you your cup of coffee in bed!

There are the very popular filter machines, French press and stovetop espresso coffee makers. There are glass carafe coffee makers, thermal carafe coffee makers, some industrial sizes with two pots that brew at the same time. If you are into espresso did you know that there are three different types of espresso makers to choose from? Steam, pump or piston. How about the coffee maker that makes you one individual cup of coffee?

Then, to complicate it even more there is the decision of what you want the coffee maker to do other than brew coffee!!! Do you want your coffee maker to have a pause so that you can pull the pot out for your first cup before it is finished brewing? Or, do you want your coffee maker to have the coffee ready for you when you get up? Do you want to be able to grind your own beans? If yes, do you want a separate coffee bean grinder or do you want one that is built right into the coffee maker? If you say yes, do you want your coffee maker to figure out just the right amount of ground coffee for the amount of water you choose? How about the strength of coffee? There are machines that let you choose how strong they brew your coffee. Some have built in water filters. Some have auto turn offs. Some allow you to use a permanent filter rather than deal with messy paper filters.

If you head isn't spinning enough now comes the toughest decision of all... what type of coffee do you want? Do you prefer a light roast or a medium roast or a dark roast? How about an Italian or Espresso roast - the heaviest of all roasts. Have you thought about roasting your own beans? There are many sources of green beans available and home coffee roasters can easily be purchased and you can be well on your way to not only brewing your coffee, but roasting your beans. <bio>To learn more about coffee makers please visit http://www.coffee-makers-advisor.info </bio>

For millions of people a cup of coffee in the morning is the spark plug to get them started and able to face the battles they may encounter during the day. There are several different types of coffee one can choose from in order to suit their specific tastes. In addition, there are numerous different ways to prepare your coffee as well. You can either go to your local coffee shop or you can make your own cup of coffee at home. Most individuals brew their coffee with just an ordinary electronic coffee maker. However, there are better ways to make a good cup of coffee without spending big dollars on an extravagant cappuccino maker or something else equally expensive that are difficult to master and keep in good working condition. These expensive machines become outdated requiring you to purchase a new one every couple of years. The French press was invented over a hundred years ago. It has received a few improvements over the years but remains relatively the same today.

One of the best ways to prepare coffee is by using a French press coffee maker. A French press coffee maker is perfectly named for what it does. The basic operation of how it functions goes like this: You add your coffee grinds into the pot and then you add the boiling water. You then you are ready to begin applying the pressure on the plunging type tool which presses down on the coffee, filtering out the grinds with the screen on the plunging tool and brewing up a tasty cup of wonderful coffee. It really is that easy. You might be wondering what the benefit of a French press coffee maker, so let me tell you. French press coffee makers produce a stronger cup of coffee then would your traditional electric coffee maker. This is great for those who like their coffee full of that robust coffee flavor. It is recommended that you drink your cup of coffee right away, while it is still piping hot, to get the best results.

Coffee to most people is as routine as brushing your teeth in the morning. When using a French press coffee maker, you save quite a bit of time because it does not require the time it takes an electric coffee maker to brew a fresh pot. Because it does not require electricity, you can take it with you anywhere you go and prepare a fresh cup of coffee wherever you are. Even when you are camping in the wilderness you can have a rich and robust cup of coffee freshly pressed. While in west Africa recently, far from the comforts of home, we were able to have coffee prepared in a French press. This made the trip bearable and mornings there worth jumping out of bed. Coffee is the fuel for countless people. If you are one of these coffee addicts and like a full flavored type coffee, consider a French press coffee maker and see taste the difference. Once you try it, you will be a French press convert. <bio>Written by David Swanson.
Coffee has long been a staple for waking up on sleepy mornings and getting through busy afternoons. Coffee houses are places to meet friends, make new acquaintances, plan futures and talk about the past.

It's no question that coffee is important in our lives. From decaffeinated brews to cap a quiet evening, to rich espressos to finish a meal, to supercharged cappuccinos, there are literally hundreds of coffee choices. Many of the more unique blends require special coffee machines to create the perfect brew. Hand-brewing machines and old-fashioned presses have enjoyed a renewed interest by coffee lovers. Many coffee drinkers are now using pod brewers that infuse hot water through coffee pads, while others prefer the old-fashioned drip machines. Cappuccino and espresso machines are also popular choices.

Drip coffee machines, however, are still the most popular because they are easiest to use. With this method, coffee rookies and aficionados alike can easily brew the perfect pot. The key to success in using drip coffee machines is to choose a permanent filter, such as gold and nylon models. With a permanent filter, the flavor molecules from the coffee grinds can pass freely through to the water. Another important advantage is that permanent filters leave no unwanted flavours. Cleaning a permanent filter after every use is required, but the delicious results are well worth the effort.

The problem with using paper filters in coffee machines is that they leave an unpleasant aftertaste in the coffee. Additionally, paper filters can absorb some of the special flavour molecules and aromatic oils from the coffee beans, essentially losing that rich aroma and tantalizing taste. If you must use paper filters, try rinsing them with hot water first, to wash away some of the aftertaste.

The best coffee brewed in drip coffee machines comes from a medium to fine grind. Measure the coffee carefully according to your coffee bean package or machine manufacturer's suggestions, and use water that is between 195 degrees and 205 degrees. This range of temperatures ensures the best extraction from your ground coffee...

Expert coffee makers will tell you that one of the tricks to brewing a great cup is to remove the filter and grounds before the last few drops of water have filtered through. In doing so, your java will be less likely to taste bitter or over-extracted. When the coffee has finished brewing, stir the pot before serving.

Coffee lovers agree that morning, noon or as a nightcap, anytime is the best time to enjoy a great brew. Using good quality ground coffee beans in the right coffee machines can help to ensure success in every pot. <bio>Joseph Davis contributes to several Internet magazines, such as http://moveg.com and http://bumid.com </bio>

If you delight to get another cup of coffee, no problems about that! Coffee is now on every street corner everywhere in the country.

And if you are a big java drinker, feel at home. You are one of those who look to a fine caffeine beverage everyday to start their morning the right way. Coffee is now the bomb!

What makes coffee very great these days is the mad selection. There are now so many coffee mixtures that your head spins thinking of them. With all the expresso-based lattes that are available, you will surely find one that will impress you.

These days, what is important is the syrups and coffee creamers galore.

I don't know what your favorite cup of coffee is. But for me, I always prefer vanilla latte. To me, it's sweet and creamy, but it still gives a lot of room for the fresh ground coffee taste. This is where it beats many of the new-age coffee creamers and syrups because they woefully fail to do that.

If you have ever tried a hazelnut or amaretto latte you will notice that the flavor of the syrup is very powerful; herein the true coffee taste doesn't shine through.

This is what some people prefer. For example, my wife is in love with the infinite syrups and coffee creamers that she has. In her words, she wants her coffee to be sweet and creamy and also with a hint of coffee flavor.

Of course she's not alone in this preference. Many people have different tastes and prefer different things from other people. This is the reason why the variety of coffee creamers and flavor is so fantastic.

Some people like to always keep enough selection of latte syrups and coffee creamers everywhere in the kitchen as a random break from the norm. This helps when company arrives. People always love selection, that is why it is said that andquot;variety is the spice of lifeandquot;.

Whether or not they like a nice espresso drink or just a cup of drip coffee, they can find syrups and coffee creamers that will pleasantly compliment either.

I don't know about you, but I prefer keeping a few rich coffee creamers handy in my refrigerator in case my parents pop in. Like all parents, they are old-school coffee drinkers and always prefer perking fresh pot each morning.

All the new craze of cappuccinos, lattes, and iced coffee drinks haven't done anything for their retro tastes.

Do you notice how they laugh at us when we drink iced lattes with whip cream? Whichever, you can always find a decent selection of latte syrups and coffee creamers for your pleasure, either at your local grocery store or online. <bio>Bill Johnson - http://www.home-seasonings.com </bio>
