Getting 6 pack abs is like trying to win the lottery just so that you can "be rich". In other words, there's no point in wanting to be rich if you have no idea how to control your money, what to spend it on or how to live the lifestyle of the rich. So if you're looking for six pack abs, your motivation needs to be focused more on the simple fact that you "have six pack abs".

So basically, you need to realize that getting and keeping 6 pack abs and enduring those abdominal exercises should be based around reasons other than just "having them".

Once you understand this simple aspect alone, you are far more likely to not only stick to your abs training program, but you will find it easier to actually see results in a quicker time scale.

You must first identify why you really want a six pack. Is it to get more dates? Is it to avoid the dangerous risks of an overweight stomach (such as cancer)? Or is it to simply fill a void in your personal time and boost your self confidence?

Whatever you decide to be your motivation, you must clearly define the desired output from your six pack abdominal training. Most people assume that by simply having a six pack that they will automatically be happier...

....but taking the previous example of the rich, no-one is made happier by the money alone, because it's what you do with it and how it benefits your life that really matters.

The second thing to consider during your six pack abs training is how you document your progress. Because the truth is, the biggest reason why people give up with any kind of fitness training or general weight loss diets is because they simply do not see results quickly enough.

However, most people give up without realizing that results ARE taking place...the problem is, that they simply don't see it in themselves.

This can be avoided by literally documenting your progress. Use a record keeper or diary to do this. This will also benefit your future progress as you will be able to see what worked, how quickly you can expect to see realistic and achievable results and anything else you might have forgotten the next time round.

The last thing to do, which follows on from the previous point, is to document your progress with actual video or still pictures of your physique. This may sound far fetched for many people but here is why it is so important:

You don't see the small changes that make the big differences from day to day.

Just like you don't notice how old you are getting, how much weight you have put on or how tall you have grown (if you're lucky!), you will not easily see positive changes from the efforts of your abs training unless you visually document it. Just remember to add dates to each photograph or video to really drive home your progress.

These are just three small steps you can start doing today for free, but these three things are simply not enough to see dramatic and speedy abs on their own.

You need to have a well balanced, concentrated diet along with a proven [http://secretsixpackabs.com/Which_abs_training_system_should_you_buy_.html= ]abs training program to see the best results in the quickest possible time. <bio>Ab belts, ab-rockers, ab-loungers, and other infomercial ab-gimmicks... they're all a complete waste of your time and money. Visit http://www.secretsixpackabs.com and you will discover that YOU CAN get your own sexy six pack abs, but only if you know our best kept secret... </bio>

Ants move in groups.. Ants never get tired. They are always on the move. I have never seen an ant take rest.... Is the ant really making any progress? God alone knows perhaps it could be moving in the wrong direction who knows...

Many of my friends are successful, wealthy and happy. They have made significant progress in their respective fields. They are always on the move.. They are miles ahead of other people. Have they really made any progress? God alone knows perhaps they could be moving in the wrong direction who knows........

Ordinary people applaud extraordinary or great beings. That does not mean that the great people are making progress. How do we know? How can you be sure that action and status signify growth? Who told you that forward movements always signify progress? Does comparison really matter when it comes down to the grind? .... Your measurement of progress and growth could be totally wrong because the tool you use to measure growth is the same tool which helped you travel that distance...... It is equal to correcting your own papers during examinations. The results will always be biased when a human mind evaluates its own mind or any other mind superior or inferior to it. Human mind cannot judge itself... You need a superior tool, not a superior human being to judge your mind....

Lets say for example that you were to monitor the evolution of an ant. Can you as a human being justify the progress of any ant... Can you pick up an ant and say that it has made terrific growth in its life span? What would be the criteria you would use for measuring the ant's growth? Would that criteria match the ant's mind? Think about it my dear friend. By all means your criteria for growth would not be in sink with the ant's mind.....

The way you visualise the ants is the way God visualises you perhaps.... He might have a different criteria for progress and growth than what you thought..... You might well be moving in the wrong direction.. Do not think that by walking further down the road you have made any progress. You have only covered some distance. Action and movement might not signify growth. Do not be too much overawed by those people who are greater than you. They too are travelling in the same road. They might be miles ahead of you, but who is there to justify whether that it is the right road?....Winners and losers doesnt matter when the race is disqualified by the referee...

The tiny ant pinched me on my foot.... It seemed to be saying "I won the race." Who cares? I know it is moving in the wrong road. I crushed it badly for hurting me. It died. The other ant following it took a different road... <bio>Lecturer, entrepreneur and Fortune 500 business consultant, Vish Writer is the author of the Amazon No 1 bestseller, "The Joy of Becoming God" For more information, visit: http://www.spiritual-simplicity.com http://www.vish-writer.com </bio>

This summer Nashville Schools had to do this as well. The Nashville Schools' Board of Education, which included both the outgoing members from 2005-2006 and the incoming members from 2006-2007, reviewed the results from the Tennessee Adequate Yearly Progress. The results will help to pinpoint for Nashville Schools those areas that have improved and where continued progress is needed. Nashville Schools had both remarkable achievements in some areas and areas that continue to be a challenge. This is the third year that the majority of schools in the Nashville Schools have received a rating of Good Standing, the highest rating that can be given. The remaining schools had moved either up or down from the previous year. The number of schools in Good Standing was 81 which is the same number as last year.

Possibly the biggest gain this year for Nashville Schools is that some of the schools categorized as high poverty schools received Good Standing ratings. Two schools Kirkpatrick and Napier Elementary Schools achieved a Good Standing rating for the first time since the Tennessee Adequate Yearly Progress was established. These two schools are two of the highest poverty schools in Nashville School District. There ratings reflect the effort that the students, teachers, parents and principals put in last school year.

But many schools did not receive a rating of Good Standing or even the same rating as last year. Many of these schools received a lower rating than previously. This indicates that there are still lots of areas that still need improvement. Nashville Schools has made the commitment to strive for every school to receive a Good Standing rating. Each summer the Nashville Schools' Board of Education meets to determine what steps can be taken to improve the coming school year's scores. The difficulty is that there are a variety of factors that can influence the rating. A small adjustment in one area could affect the overall standing. With this in mind the Board tries to find a way to make every school a school that rates Good Standing.

One of the biggest concerns for the Nashville Schools' Board of Education is the size of the District. Nashville Schools currently has around 74,000 students and must provide educational opportunities that meet the needs of this student population. Nashville School District includes both Nashville and Davidson Counties, so there are logistic concerns also. Nashville Schools are very confident about how this school year will proceed. The Nashville Schools Board of Education is a nine member body that is elected at the end of every school year composed of educators, community leaders and administrators. The members are elected in a public vote by the citizens of the Nashville School District. The Board believes that there is a real potential for all the schools to gain ratings of Good Standing by summer of 2007. <bio>Stacy Andell is a staff writer for Schools K-12, providing free, in-depth reports on all U.S. public and private K-12 schools.
To help you manage the unbearable waiting times associated with your pregnancy, a pregnancy calendar can help track your progress as well as provide invaluable memories of your pregnancy. For 9 months, a mother- to- be watches her body transform from the shape she knows, to something that is a life support system for the baby growing inside her.

1. Keep Track Of Your Growth

Whether it is something that she can pin on the wall, or something that she has on a file on her computer, or even a website where she has a login- in that takes her direct to her page, the calendar will show at a glance how far she has left to go in her journey towards motherhood. Many of these daily pregnancy calendars will give tips on how to cope with the different pregnancy symptoms that occur during the different stages, such as heartburn, sleeplessness, and Braxton Hicks.

2. Online Calendars Are Available

The online daily pregnancy calendars give even more information. There are even illustrations of how the baby looks during each trimester. She can actually visualize the baby behind the bump and see her baby progress in her mind. It's also possible to purchase a daily pregnancy calendar book where each day you can journal about how you are feeling, any symptoms or check- ups you have, noting the cravings or weight gains, or even preserving the little things you want to say to the baby. Once complete this provides the new mother with a precious picture of the journey she took bringing her baby into the world.

3. Results For Your Doctor

There is a practical purpose behind a pregnancy calendar - if there are any complications with the pregnancy your doctor will have a complete picture of the development of you and your baby during this time and may be able to pinpoint the problem. For example, by recording your meals in the calendar the doctor may be able to link a specific allergen to the welfare of your baby and recommend the removal of that food item from your diet. Babies do not always have the same allergies as their parents. <bio>For more great pregnancy related articles and resources check out http://pregnancynurse.info </bio>

Dealing with bodybuilding exercises is all about the important things that are needed to be done at the right pace and time. Though there may be many sources of good bodybuilding training, the information circulating in the gym where you train and look up to other serious bodybuilders may not be exactly accurate.

As a bodybuilding trainee, the least of your priorities is to listen to or follow false information. Yes, in bodybuilding, information that is not as relevant or correct does exist. It is at your utmost discretion whether you'd take an old man's advice or change it with something you yourself have researched. Just keep in mind that bodybuilding exercises require progress and creating your very own barrier to progress is the last thing you want to happen during your training.

How to stay fit and gain progress? Is it done by doing many variations of exercises? First of all, bodybuilding is for people who targets to develop muscles and lose fat. Unless you want to be stuck with the same size of muscles, concentrate more in increasing the pressure on your daily exercises. Don't make it a habit to execute the same exercise routines because this doesn't help your muscles develop at all.

Don't wonder why bodybuilders have to endure the pain and difficulty of exercising every time they do because it is the only point for bodybuilding in the first place. Always keep in mind that a muscle can develop well by means of two things: progress on the intensity of the exercises and absence of body fat. If one is observing only one of the two, muscle development won't happen as desired. Also, muscles in the body can grow big, shrink and stay as it is. So the possibility of a person developing a good rate of muscle growth is going to happen if and only if, there is a steady progress in each of the exercises. As they say, no pain, no gain.

Heavy reps and lower body fat is far better than low reps for muscle definition. <bio>Shareen Aguilar is a writer for Body Building Training Program http://www.body-building-book.com which has information on Bodybuilding and other fitness topics. </bio>

Finding the right bodybuilding routine can be a real headache, especially since there are dozens of bodybuilding routines and programs out there to choose from. So how do you know which one is best for you? How do you know that the bodybuilding routines stated in the program brochure really works? And how do you choose the most effective bodybuilding routine? Below is a simple guide for you to choose the bodybuilding routine that suits you best.

The topmost standard in choosing the right bodybuilding routine for you is to see whether or not the program has been tested. Never mind what the brochure says. And never mind what the bodybuilding routine instructor is saying. The most objective way for you to see if a bodybuilding routine is effective or not is by relying on empirical data and experimental results.

A good and well thought out bodybuilding routine discusses all of the following key factors: Goals, training loads, progress monitoring, and recovery periods.

In a bodybuilding routine, the "just do it and see" attitude will not likely drive any major results. What a bodybuilding routine needs is program that allows progressive training. Guidance on changing your workout loads and periodic progress monitoring is essential to know if the bodybuilding routine you have is working. Regular visits to the weighing scale, size measurements, and one-rep maximums are only the easiest and most direct way to measure your progress with your bodybuilding routine.

Now often, in bodybuilding routines, recovery periods are frequently overlooked. Keep in mind that it is just as important as working out and performing your bodybuilding routine exercises. Your bodybuilding routine plan should cover rest on a regular basis and across the training phases.

The third important question to ask is: Am I the right type of individual to take up this kind of bodybuilding routine? A good bodybuilding routine is one that specifies its target population, age, training level, and effective duration.

Different people have specific needs in a bodybuilding routine. The question to consider is the gender and the age. Some bodybuilding routines might be too taxing for teenagers who have smaller and less developed muscles.

The same thing applies in the training level of a bodybuilding routine. You do not want to train under a bodybuilding routine for novices when you're a bodybuilding veteran of 10 yrs.

And last, but certainly not the last important thing to consider is the duration of the bodybuilding routine. The program should state for exactly how long you can use the bodybuilding routine before moving on to a higher level.

So if you are serious about achieving your ultimate bodybuilding potential, the guide above should give you a better idea in what to look for in bodybuilding routines. <bio>If you want to possess a well-sculpted muscular physique everybody else would be dying to have, then visit the free info website at http://www.the-firm-body-sculpting-system.com and find out how to finally have the rock-hard, eye-catching muscular body of your dreams... </bio>

While there are a lot of different types of stress, bad time management is undoubtedly one of the biggest causes of stress. Do you ever feel stressed out because you haven't completed a task that is due very soon or because you haven't spent enough time with your family or enough time working on your goals?

Here are some tips to get rid of that stress through good time management practices

1. Get help

One of the biggest reasons why many people fail to accomplish all they want to accomplish is because they don't let others help them. "Nobody can do it better than me" or "I need to do this myself" will cause a lot of stress because let's face it, you only have 24 hours in your day and only 2 hands. Try to delegate tasks that can be done just as well or even better by someone else. This will free up your time to work on the important goals and you will feel better when you get the important tasks done and move towards your goals.

2. Make a list of accomplishments everyday

Very few people bring good focus into their days with a to-do list but even fewer people bring relaxation and confidence through an accomplishment list. An accomplishment list helps you feel better about yourself, shows you how you're getting closer to your goals and is a great anchor to use when you're starting out with time management.

You see a lot of people give up too soon when they don't see results. One of the easiest ways to make sure you don't give up is by keeping track of your results.

Just make a list of all the things you've done to get closer towards your goals every night. It will show you how you're taking good care of your time and how you are moving closer to your goals. It is important to keep this tracking because once you see how you're making progress, you'll gain confidence to move towards your goals and take even more action.

Once you're confident, self doubt disappears and once you see how you're making progress, worry will disappear too, allowing you to remain stress free and focus on the important thing - your goals.

3. Practice the 80/20 rule and focus on what is truly important

When you have a bit more than you can handle on your to-do list, apply the 80/20 rule. The 80/20 rule simply suggests that 20% of what you do brings in 80% of the desired results. An example of this principle applied to sales is 20% of your customers bring you 80% of your revenue.

One of the quickest ways to reduce stress is to find the 20% of the tasks that are most important and do them. You can let the 80% of the tasks that aren't bringing you the desired results just slide away. This will help you create more time to relax and help you reduce the stress caused by overwork and overwhelm.<bio>If you are stressed out because you cannot achieve the goals you've set for yourself, visit www.managemytimenow.com to relieve stress and get to your goals faster by overcoming procrastination and becoming more efficient in your daily tasks.
This five point philosophy is based on some of the methods Genevieve Dawid's parent used to help her overcome daily challenges as a dyslexic. These methods are very simple but highly effective. Over the years she has developed and expanded upon these five principles, to help people in all walks of life, to deal with a variety of situations.

1. Identify Problems and Areas Needing Improvement

The first step is finding and identifying the problem(s) you need to deal with. This is something most individuals can't see for themselves, and in corporate life especially, with so many people and personalities to deal with, it is sometimes difficult to perceive what's going on in every area.

2. Plan Your Goals

Once the problems and areas of improvements are uncovered or recognised then you can set your goals in order of importance: short, medium, and long-term. Think about what you want to achieve and set out which ones should be addressed first. This list of goals can be amended as and when you like, because you are in total control.

3. Create a strategy and Implement it

Once the goals are listed and prioritized you need to have a strategy to implement them. Realistically, not every strategy works first time. So you may need to try a solution and if that does not work, revise your strategy. To improve yourself, or your life, you simply need to devise new strategies, when and as needed. Once you see these strategies start to work and change your life it's a wonderful experience!

4. Track and Record Results

It is vital to record and monitor your changes. One of the greatest motivators is tracking your results, which allows you to observe your progress, and also see how you are constantly building upon your successes. One great method of monitoring your results is to use a Record of Achievements; it can act as a constant reminder of what you have achieved so far. Reviewing your progress in this way will help you to relive your memories and the inspiration becomes a catalyst for the next task.

5. Keep going

The key is not to let obstacles get in your way and to keep pressing ahead. Pay little attention to any negative thoughts or setbacks you may encounter, just stay focused on your progress and remind yourself of past successes. If you need to, revisit your Record of Achievements and see just how far you have actually progressed. As soon as you have discovered, (and more importantly, decided), that when faced with challenges nothing will remain a permanent obstacle in your life - you can move on. And be able to deal with any future problems, as they came along.

My Aunt Janet had Downs syndrome. I think some of Mum's creative ways of getting me to learn might have been based on her experience of her sister's learning difficulties. Janet was a great inspiration to me, demonstrating that we all have potential; we just need to be in the right environment and frame of mind to achieve and keep going ahead. <bio>http://www.genevievedawid.com Genevieve Dawid is a published author and highly successful consultant and mentor, for both individuals and corporations.
I was recently asked this question:

andquot;How can I stay on an exercise program even if I'm not seeing results right away?andquot;

Here's what I answered:

By andquot;resultsandquot; I assume you mean losing weight. But remember that you may be gaining muscle and losing fat. So, although the scale doesn't change much, your body composition does. And ultimately, that's what the game is all about...

If you haven't measured how much fat you have before you start your weight loss program, the scale can be really misleading. Sometimes, just seeing how your clothes fit on you may be a much more accurate method of watching your progress...

Are you getting stronger and do you have more endurance every workout? If yes, then you are on track and you are already getting andquot;resultsandquot;.

You can't improve what you can't measure. The mirror can be deceiving. Put things on paper. Note down your fat percentage and how much you weigh. Cold numbers don't lie.

Your mind may be playing games with you - especially during a weight loss program. But you will do the smart thing and note things down (something that 95% of people never do - that's why they never lose any weight and they quit after a week).

Try to measure your weight AND fat percentage, say once a week. Do it in the morning on an empty stomach. You may see that you have lost just andquot;a littleandquot; fat and you have gained just andquot;a littleandquot; muscle. But Rome wasn't built in a day. The way you climb a mountain is one step at a time.

There's a lot to be said about consistency and there's strength in numbers. Small improvements add up over time with TREMENDOUS results. It's what the Japanese call andquot;Kaizenandquot;... <bio>andquot;Discover Why Almost Everyone Is Dead Wrong About Weight Loss - Including How To Lose Up To 28 Pounds in 4 Weeks And Keep it off - Without Diet Pills or Aerobics and Without Feeling Hungry.
What can you do to track down your progress on profit or expenses? When progress in numbers is checked, solid evidence is always needed because it's the only basis of how much a restaurant is earning or losing each day. Is it doing well by average or is it doing better compared to how much you have expected it to earn from day 1? You need to always check on this on a regular basis because it could make or break your business.

You also need to know the volume trend of your restaurant and a report of the managerial efficiency for both the customers and the restaurant during hours of operation. This way, you'll have a clearer picture of what else or how much more your benefits are going to be if you had another way to run your business. Also, you will need to check the classification of each of your restaurant's division. Check on the revenue of the productivity of each producing department. In this case, you will need to take a look at the revenue on your bottomless iced tea if it does bring money to the cash register or if it doesn't make any difference at all.

Take control of the part where scheduled expenses are needed to be done. Also, if you have it laid out well, it's going to give you a clearer idea on which part you're losing and gaining most. You will also have an easy access if you need to intervene on one aspect of your business because you have the figures to help you out.

The big question "where did my money go?" will be simply answered if you have all the supporting facts in front of you. It will be less stressing to have something to grab and look on compared to just sit there and think about what went wrong. <bio>Shareen Aguilar is a writer for http://restaurant-business-secrets.com which has Restaurant Secrets and other free Marketing Books. </bio>

Whenever you learn a new skill, you go through four stages of learning. Some people berate themselves if they don't immediately master a new skill. They forget that there's a normal progression involved. Keeping these stages in mind will help you avoid frustration as you progress along the path to mastery.

The four stages are:

=95 Unconscious incompetence =95 Conscious incompetence =95 Conscious competence =95 Unconscious competence

The time it takes to progress through these stages may vary, but this progression is unavoidable.

Here's what each stage is about.

Unconscious Incompetence

At this stage, a person is incompetent at a skill but isn't aware that they lack it because they don't know it exists. They're incompetent and unaware of it. This stage lasts as long as the person remains in the dark about other possibilities.

As an example, imagine a child who had only seen shoes with Velcro closures. They are incompetent at <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tying+shoelaces" rel="tag">tying shoelaces, but aren't aware of it because they're never seen them.

When a person becomes aware of knowledge they lack, they enter the next phase.

Conscious Incompetence

Once the person knows they lack a skill, they are still incompetent at it. The difference is now they know. This creates the possibility of learning.

The child has seen shoes with laces and realizes that they don't know how to tie them. It's at this stage that learning begins.

Someone shows the child how to tie a shoelace and they begin practicing. At first they won't be very good at it. They're still incompetent =96 consciously incompetent.

This phase lasts for a variable amount of time depending on the difficulty of the skill as well the abilities and diligence of the person learning it. More difficult skills take longer to acquire. A person with more talent finds progress easier. More practice results in more progress.

The next stage slowly emerges.

Conscious Competence

Gradually, the student improves and eventually becomes competent at the task. However, at first performing competently requires their full attention. This is the stage of conscious competence.

The child can tie their shoe quite well, but they need to focus to do it. Slowly, gradually the skill becomes easier to perform. It requires less intense focus. It flows more smoothly and automatically.

Eventually, they arrive at the last stage=85

Unconscious Competence

This is the phase of most adults with regards to tying shoelaces =96 they do it quite well without ever having to think about it. In this phase a person performs competently automatically.

There are many skills we pick up and become unconsciously competent at. Anyone who's learned to drive a standard transmission remembers their first lurching starts. Over time, that complex skill became automatic.

Skills you work on now may be the same way. At first they'll seem difficult. They'll require your full attention. You won't be very good at them. You'll feel awkward.

Remember that this phase is normal. Gradually and steadily you'll improve. Before long what was a foreign skill will be second nature. Just like tying a shoe. <bio>Joseph McCaffrey believes in living life as a work of art in progress, and writes on all aspects of living life fully at: http://www.masteringlifespuzzle.com/ </bio>

A core aspect of guitar practice is goal setting.

To put it bluntly -- you must set goals!

Let me explain why this is so important. Hopefully my explanation will show you just how important, and incredibly powerful, this technique is if you want to be constantly improving as a guitar player.

If you set goals you give your sub-conscious mind something clear to focus on.

When you write down your goal, and commit to doing it, you have set something in motion. By writing it down, you're making it much more likely to happen.

So, you must set some goals and write them down.

I know this may sound unimportant to you at the moment, especially if you have never used this technique before.

But trust me on this...Before I set goals to work on in my practice I was highly frustrated with the lack of results I was getting.

Goal setting keeps you focused and makes you get what you want from your practice.

Also, if you don't set goals, you don't have anything clear to measure how well you've progressed. This can mean that you don't progress much at all, or you don't notice your progress.

This can lead to lack of desire to play guitar and lack of desire is a 100% guaranteed route to failure.

That's not what you want, is it?

So, in summary:

You must cover each of these points:

• Your must set long-term and short-term goals. • You must read and review your goals before you practice. • You must focus on completing these goals while you're practicing. • When you finish practicing, review your goals and tick off the goals you have completed. • If you miss a goal, don't worry! Review the goal and decide if it was realistic enough. If it wasn't realistic, change it until it is. If you still feel it is realistic, leave it there and work on it next time. • It helps to make your goal time limited. (E.g. Within 30 days) This will help keep you focused and accountable. <bio>Find more guitar lessons here: http://www.guitar-secrets.net </bio>

Everyone wants to get in shape and they want it yesterday. Rapid results, pack on 10 pounds of muscle in 10 days go from obese to shredded in 6 weeks =96 you know what I'm talking about.

The desire for fast results is what kills the progress of the masses time and time again. It is also responsible for endless cycles of small successes followed by the massive frustration of having to start all over again. Of course many parties in the `fitness industry' have a vested interest in keeping you in a continuous cycle of hope followed by crushing failure =96 more money for them.

Lean muscular physiques for life are built on sustainability, consistency and a profound understanding of how your body actually works.

(Before you start a training program, make sure you understand how important the Big 3 exercises are to the core of your success - here's why: http://www.ultimatebodysuccess.com/e-course8.html)

The reality of frenetically pursuing results faster than is sustainable sets you up for abject failure in many ways. First of all, training too hard for your capabilities too often, will more than likely lead to an injury of some sort that sends your progress to a grinding halt. If you can't train then you can't get any results can you? If you don't hurt yourself, going gung ho before you have the required mental toughness backed by a calm sense of purpose to keep you grounded, will rapidly lead to mental burnout. If you don't feel like training your progress will stall, that's if you can even bring yourself to walk into the gym at all. We have seen it literally hundreds of times over the years. You will see a person training diligently for 2 weeks and then never see them again.

(one of the key's to transforming your body is to 'not let life get in the way' - here's why: http://www.ultimatebodysuccess.com/e-course3.html)

The overwhelming marketing hype catering to human impatience is one of the most destructive in the fitness industry today. It directly causes the failure of so many people who start with an honest desire to improve their bodies by entirely warping their perceptions on what it takes to succeed. Don't let this happen to you.

Ah but you say: "I know or heard of this person that went all out for 3 months and got this amazing result with their body."

No doubt, it can happen. A very small percentage of people will go hard for a short period and manage to keep it up to get a result for themselves. However this is completely irrelevant because the changes made are almost never permanent and moreover the path and lifestyle required to get them there is a complete dead end.

Sure you get into great shape by harsh dieting and shocking the body. Now what? If you stop your body will rebel and slingshot you back to where you started because it was forced into a crisis situation and has not been given time to adapt properly. If you don't stop, eventually your body will break down anyway and force you to whether you like it or not.

Moreover, even if you could continue the crash results regime indefinitely, it is no way to live. Your food intake and selection would be restricted and the repetitive grind and anti-social lifestyle that it takes to make an enforced program of rapid results work, would erase every last scrap of enjoyment from your life.

Aside from the physical and lifestyle unquestionability, the simple fact is that you will not have made the necessary mental changes if you rush for results. You will not have acquired the calm sense of purpose of the fitness elite who have taken the time to understand their bodies and how they work at their very best.

This will mean that you have not acquired one of the most critical keys to sculpting a lean muscular physique and being able to keep it and improve it year after year. Taking time to reach your goals by working with your body will add a powerful certainty to your training that comes from developing an understanding of exactly how your body responds to training. Armed with this insight, your training will become more productive than ever before because you will know how to train your body for maximum results and at a pace that ensures the progress you make is permanent.

A series of soul destroying dead end paths, or a lean, muscular physique that is yours to keep for life.

It's your decision.

=A9 All Rights Reserved 2007 <bio>Ben Kong is the author and co-creator of Ultimate Body Success - The Impossible To fail, Total Lifestyle System For Creating Your Best Body Ever.
Many organizations are over managed. Key executives believe in the process of micro managing subordinates and overseeing all activities.

What this business model does is create a lot of busy work but essentially is much less productive.

A real leader understands the importance of feedback. While many shy away from feedback because it can show them things about themselves they don't want to see, it is a very vital part of effective leadership. You can consider leadership as the mirror that lets you see the job you are doing and have done. But don't look at is as judgment, look instead at feedback as a way to better the path towards your eventual goal.

You should be open to regular feedback sessions. Some try to allow feedback on the project at bi-weekly or monthly intervals. That is too long of a time period to wait for something that may need to be addressed much sooner. Often employees are waiting for a chance to talk more about the project and get some response to what they are doing to make sure they are doing the right thing. As a manager you should at the least have weekly meetings to keep up with the progress your group is making, and also help them look at the things they have yet to accomplish and prioritize the list. You may also get some input on better ways to do things from those who have been in the midst of it. In addition to group meetings, you should also offer individual meetings to group members.

You need to always know what your team is doing and that they are working towards the group objective. After all, you are the leader. In the end this project is your responsibility and if things go wrong, you are going to be the one who has to take the blame. You should be able to spot if performance is slipping anywhere in your team and deal with that problem quickly. You need to discover if they just don't want to do the job, or if they are having a problem. That can be done through asking them a lot of open-ended questions so they will eventually let you know the real hold up.

Make sure your group members know you are behind them. Everyone can use a little encouragement once in a while. But also make sure they know you expect to see results. At the end of your meetings, always leave them knowing when the next meeting is going to be. This sets them up to know that they will be expected to show more progress in a certain time period

You need to discipline yourself as a leader to make sure not to become complacent. This is something that happens to many leaders. They after a while become indifferent to the project and don't keep as close an eye on things as they should. This is a recipe for disaster and shows poor leadership to boot. You must meet every week with the group members and always make a list of their goals, assuring they are making progress towards those goals. If you neglect your group members, they may well start to neglect the work they are supposed to be getting done. <bio>Harald Anderson is the co-founder of http://www.artinspires.com a leading online motivational posters gallery.
Does your workout take into account the recent advances in the science of fat burning and muscle building? The improvements in workout methods have been remarkable and should not be ignored. Some of the most amazing progress has been seen in the fastest way to burn fat and build muscle.

Supplements are not necessarily required to achieve your goals. A better understanding of human physiology and how our bodies work leads to an enhanced ability to alter our shape and improve our performance. Unfortunately, even as rapid progress is made in the fields of muscle building and fat burning, many people still exercise in the Dark Ages, droning along on treadmills or stationary bicycles, praying that the endless cardio will lead to svelte bodies.

Many who place their faith in cardio will be disappointed and will eventually fall away. That's because the path to fat loss through cardio is slow and arduous. A reliance on cardio for fat burning is often based on outdated ideas. A few may find that leaner bodies and larger muscles are possible with aerobic exercising, but the process is slow, inefficient and unsure.

If successful muscle building and fat burning is possible with cardio, then what is the problem? The real issue is the amount of time involved. Aerobic exercising is beneficial to your overall health, but terribly inefficient for burning fat and building muscle. For people who have limited time for visits to the gym, there needs to be a faster way to achieve their physical goals.

Aerobic conditioning and light weight lifting with high repetitions will get results--eventually. You will burn fat and build muscle--over time. If you take the long view of life and have copious amounts of leisure time, then you may be able to stick with the old ways.

Unfortunately, our lives tend to be filled to the point of overflowing. When we have goals for our body, we want to achieve those goals quickly and efficiently. Strolling in the park is a physical activity, but it may not lead directly to the body shape you desire. You need to start with your goals, envisioning the end result that you wish to achieve. Then map out the best way to get there with the minimum investment of time and effort.

How are you exercising now? Do you attend aerobic conditioning classes because you like the music and the social interaction? Do you stick to an old college routine that worked when you were 19 years old? If you're training with weights, do you do three sets of ten repetitions followed by an hour of cardio?

Don't just launch into a traditional workout routine and hope for the best when it comes to results. New discoveries in the world of physical conditioning have made it possible to burn body fat and build pure muscles quicker than anyone ever thought possible before. It's time for you to exercise out of the box and see quicker results that will both excite you and provide the motivation you need to realize your dreams. <bio>Get out of the workout rut and build the body you've always wanted.
Fastforward; today is November 5, the popular vote has been registered, the people have spoken. They have cast their ballot and voted for the 44th President of the United States of America.

However, that Office is not yet secured. There is a second election. It is the real election. It is the one that counts from the office of the electoral college.

Yes "we the people" really don't have a say in who get's elected to this high office. But we do get to elect the people who will speak in our behalf.

It is amazing how many in the US are in the dark about our indirect voting procedure. And so it is with constitutional law that we engage in this charade, that starts off with, ironically, "We the people...

So remember when you vote it is your state electorate that will speak for you so make sure you select the ones who will support your vote... else it does become a waste.

So let's examine America's possible future, will you?

There are many possibilities with some representing profound changes in the way we see ourselves and some with, shall I say, "business as usual" outcomes.

These profound possibilities are crossroads for America. For two centuries this country, consisting as a melting pot, an amalgamation of all the people in the world, has consistently selected leaders that represent only one group, one type of leader.

This year for the first time in the history of this country, there is an opportunity to change that. This opportunity is seen in two politicians who have rose to prominence amongst the people.

These two politicians are representatives of different groups in the population of America. There is a Women and a Black.

Both of these groups were legally restricted in the course of our nation from voting and from having property.

Yes, it took a great deal of effort and growth from this nation to break with the old and ring in the new way when it came to both women and blacks.

So here on November 4 and 11, we have made our decision at this crossroad and selected representatives of both groups.

Is this progress for America or is this a set back?

Now let's revisit this moment in history. Again, it is November 4 and 11 and we have made our decision as a people.

This time, we have decided to continue with business as usual. We have elected our leader from the same group that we have for the last two centuries. Is this progress or a set back?

In both cases, we sit at the crossroads of the destiny of a nation. This is the crossroad that all great nations must pass through. So what will this tell us about this nation? Will we have come to that stage that makes a nation truly great in spite of itself or will we fall back in fear of what might be and abandon the chance to grow as a nation.

Though these are real possible outcomes, it really boils down to this. It is the force of the people and not the vote that will determine if we are really ready for progress.

Are we truly ready for progress? <bio>New ideas or old ideas broached in new and different ways are what you will find in articles written by Politic Politics. http://BarackObamaCan.com </bio>

So you've made your budget and it looks good on paper. Great! Now it is time to implement it. But are you ready to follow the budget you've developed? Here are some helpful tips to keep you on track with your budget.

1. Determine why you made a budget. There is a reason you have put time into developing your budget, now you need to put into writing what your goals are. Do you want to be debt free, live on one income, or save for retirement? Make this into your personal or family financial mission statement. Write it down or type it up nicely and then have it laminated and display it in a prominent place where you can see it often. Many times we just need a reminder to ourselves for why we are doing a particular thing, and that can be just enough incentive when things get tough.

2. Set small range goals so you can see progress. It can be very difficult to keep up the discipline necessary to stay on budget if you can't see any measurable progress. Develop some short term goals that you can celebrate meeting. If your goal has been to reduce your grocery spending by $100 per month, then your weekly goal would be to cut grocery costs by $25. Likewise, if your goal is to pay off debt, make a chart to show how much you've paid off. Reward charts just aren't for children! Use a type of chart where you can color in a bar to show your progress, and then color it in every time you make a payment so you can see the progress you are making. Put it up on your refrigerator or bathroom mirror as a reminder that your hard work is paying off!

3. Identify your weak spots and develop a plan to battle them. In sticking to your budget, you need a clear idea of where you may be tempted to break the budget. If you are prone to impulse spending, then you must remove that temptation from yourself. If you go window shopping, leave your credit cards and check book at home! Especially in the early days of sticking to your budget, it is important to re-train yourself to curb spending.

Making a budget is really the easy part in financial management. It is sticking to the budget and making your spending match your plan that is the difficult process. By disciplining yourself and retraining your spending habits, you can achieve your budget goals. <bio>For money saving tips and money management ideas, be sure to visit http://www.NotMadeOfMoney.com.. </bio>

What is biofeedback?

Biofeedback uses computers to help you become more aware of the subtle changes that occur in your body. Once you are more aware of them, you can control them better.

How does it work?

Many physiological processes in your body are hard to detect, but computerized monitoring allows you to notice them better. The monitored information is then "fed" back to you in an understandable form. By being able to see this information on a computer monitor, you can learn how to control the processes better.

Why would I care about controlling my physiological processes?

Most people know that we control our body by using our mind. For example, if we are agitated, we can use our brains to calm our body. But did you know that many nerves that control our behavior actually go from the body to the brain? If you can create a calm body, you can create a calm state-of-mind.

What will biofeedback help me with?

Biofeedback has been used for stress and anxiety disorders (including muscle tension and panic), TMJ, low back pain, chronic pain anywhere in the body, migraine headaches, breathing disorders, Raynaud's Syndrome, IBS, hypertension and addiction (when you are calmer cravings tend to diminish). There are also many additional health benefits from biofeedback.

What physical processes does biofeedback monitor?

The most common physiological processes monitored are heart rate, respiration (breathing), sweating, peripheral temperature, blood pressure and muscle tension.

How does receiving feedback about physiological processes help me control them?

If you shot a basketball in the general direction of the basket, but could not see the basket itself, your shooting would not improve. When you set the goal of relaxing, and then get feedback about exactly what is happening in your body, you will get better at relaxing.

How fast does it work?

As with any therapy, the results will vary depending on your condition. Although lasting results may take 10 sessions or more, some people see results in 3-4 sessions. As with learning any skill, how fast you improve will depend on how much you practice.

What is a typical biofeedback session like?

Your biofeedback therapist usually begins treatment with a comprehensive assessment of your physiological processes and your awareness of them. Then you will jointly design a biofeedback training program to improve your capacity for self-regulation, based on your needs and goals. Electrodes are "pasted" to you so that you can get feedback on the computer monitor. The paste is easily wiped off. The electrodes do not transmit any electricity to you. You therapist will guide you through the entire process. Near the end of each session you will discuss the progress made, and the next steps to take. If you rent or purchase small practice equipment and use it at home you will make faster progress.

This sounds like meditation.

You're right! There are many similarities between meditation, yoga, self-hypnosis, and biofeedback. However, biofeedback can help you achieve awareness of physiological processes much more quickly than other techniques. If you already use other techniques, you can master them faster!<bio>Julie Myers, Psy.D., BCIAC, CATC, provides biofeedback at Practical Recovery alcohol addiction treatment, where she focuses on resolving problems that give rise to or maintain addiction.</bio>

Successful results occur in our personal lives and in our careers when we are proactive in setting and achieving goals. When striving to accomplish a meaningful objective, the path is much clearer and easier to pursue when it is thoroughly considered and well constructed.

The person who has taken the time to learn the process of developing and implementing inspiring and ambitious goals is the one most likely to bask in the success of reaching their objective.

Goals establish purpose and the mindset for success. Powerfully written goals lift, motivate and expand our view of what is possible and accelerate meaningful and worthwhile objectives in our lives. With authentic and concrete tangible goals, backed by commitment and plans to achieve them, we are encouraged to keep moving forward even when we are discouraged or when things seem insurmountable.

A well-conceived goal and an enthusiastic attitude to match provide clarity for concentrating on both the mental and physical energy necessary to realize expectations. Without definitive goals, the best intentions are only randomly addressed --- which usually leads to "hit or miss" results. Setting worthwhile goals and taking action to accomplish them works!

When developing and implementing a goal:

• Define exactly what is to be accomplished.
• Understand why the goal is important.
• Believe the goal is important and that achieving it is deserved.
• Do NOT proceed with a goal that is vague or does not inspire action.
• Establish both short and long term goals.
• Prioritize multiple goals.
• Create a clear criteria to measure progress.
• Utilize the five senses to embed the goal in the subconscious mind.
• Find ways to repeatedly and frequently bring the goal to mind.
• Know that asking for help can be very supportive.
• Periodically revisit the written goal for possible updating.
• Work steadfast to achieve the goal and celebrate when it is accomplished.
• Set a new goal.

When setting a goal, reference this S.M.A.R.T. approach to keep on track:

S = Specific. The more specific your goal, the better. General or vague goals really don't work. Always nail down who, what, where, when, which, and why. Write down, verbalize, and concentrate on your goals.

M = Measurable. Set clear criteria for measuring progress toward the attainment of your goals. This is how you can determine your progress and when you have arrived.

A = Attainable. Set goals that you can reach when you set your mind to it. With each subsequent goal, stretch yourself even further to reach greater achievements. And, with each success you will believe in bigger accomplishments.

R= Realistic. If you truly believe that you can accomplish a goal, then it is most likely realistic. The goal must represent an objective that you are both willing and able to work toward. Although realistic, aim high and stretch.

T = Tangible. Think taste, touch, smell, sight, and sound. When your senses are used, the goal becomes real to the subconscious mind. Attach tangible ways to reach your intangible goals (personal and behavioral changes).<bio>David Schaefer is a success coach and writes on the topics of personal and career development.
Many women seem to have a mutually dependent relationship with the almighty scale. We trust the scale enough to actually stand on the mechanical device much more than we really need to. What's even more hilarious is that we spend the rest of the time finding excuses and reasons not believe what the scale tells us.

Here are some popular ones...

The "it's broken" excuse: "Oh geeze this thing must be broken cause there's no way I weigh that much!

The rounding down method: "Hmmm..the scale says 154 pounds. I really weigh 150."

The natural fluctuation excuse: "I'm bloated today that's why I weigh that much."

The accessory excuse: "My clothes (shoes, hair tie, underwear) must weigh at least 2 or 3 pounds."

The wet hair excuse: "I just a shower. I'm still soaking wet. So I weigh a lot more."

When it comes to making progress, the scale is probably the least accurate tool to use. When you're exercising you might not lose that much weight on the scale. But this doesn't mean that you aren't making considerable progress. You'll actually find that your clothes are looser fitting because you've replaced the fat with muscle; you'll feel lighter, stronger, and sexier. All these little things add up and prove that you are making progress physically and emotionally.

The scale it self measures your weight as a whole, and doesn't take in the fact that you have fat weight and lean muscle weight. This is the big difference here. And this is also why you should not rely on all your weight loss statistics to be from the scale. It will just frustrate and annoy the heck out of you.

Keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat. But it's more compact and tight. So an accurate exchange of a pound of muscle for a pound of fat will obviously make no change in your actual weight, but it will make your body look slimmer and defined.

When it comes to your health, don't focus too much on how much you weigh. Fatness is measured by the percentage of fat you have to lean body mass (muscle, bones, organs, and so forth).

Using body fat standards, someone who weighs 120 pounds but with 35 percent fat could actually be considered fat. At the same time the same woman at the same height who weighs 40 and has only 15 to 18 percent fat could be considered lean.

You can find out your fat status by getting your body composition tested at your local gym, your doctor, or just ask your trainer.

Alternatively you can use a tape measure. As you exercise you'll replace every 3 pounds of fat with every 2 pounds of muscle you gain. So for every 1 - pound loss on the scale, you should lose about an inch in your waist measurement simply because the muscle is more tight.

There are numerous ways to track your progress, don't just use one method. When you have a bunch of ways to track your progress you'll be able to get a broader idea of what exactly is changing in your body other than your weight.<bio>Marci Lall provides Fitness Training Forest Hill.
