Have you thought of how much toxins pet stains contain and leave inside your carpeting. Have you ever went into your home to smell musty pet odors and then you could not notice them anymore.

You cannot notice pet odors after awhile being in the room because of your nasal cavity. The glands in the nose become adapted to the smell, but your guests will smell it.

So how can you get rid of pet stains and why should you consider trying something that disinfects the carpet as well as removes the stains.

The simple fact that pet stains are caused by urine, feces, blood, or vomit throws up a big warning. All these items can cause bacteria and rot the carpeting as well as your insides. Pet urine contains ammonia, this can be extremely harmful to you and your pet. Don't even think about using bleach, because the mixture of bleach and ammonia will have your nose in a tail spin.

So what about vinegar?

If you are thinking about using vinegar to remove pet stains and odors then you are in for a big surprise. You see vinegar has a unique odor that really stinks in my opinion. In fact, vinegar can make your entire house smell even worse then messy pet stains and odors.

Don't even think of using vinegar on the carpeting. Vinegar is potent and will create a funky odor for months that you will never be able to get rid of. As for pet stains and vinegar, I would recommend not to mess with it. You need something that will neutralize and deodorize the odor.

A popular raw material to clean pet stains and odors is enzymes. Pet stain removers are now beginning to use enzymes and some are using organic raw materials.

These organic pet stain removers also disinfect and can terminate bacteria so it not only cleans and deodorizes, you also will get rid of messy diseases that can harm you and your pet.

Pet stain removers are now turning to a natural safe raw material that will be able to neutralize pet stains without damaging the carpets, no matter how old the carpeting is.

Now with so many natural cleaning products developed, it is about time a few major companies have developed pet stain removers from natural raw materials. In fact the pet stain removers neutralize pet stains and odors entirely as well as been tested to get rid of bacteria. Somewhat like a disinfectant anti-microbial pet stain remover.

For free samples or to try going green with pet stain removers you can look at a few new product launches that are going to be happening like http://www.mycleaningproducts.com/pet_products.html For a limited time you can be given a chance to try there new Stainerizer pet stain remover.

Go green and be sure to stay away from harsh chemicals, not only can they hurt your carpets and furniture, they can kill you and your pets. To look for natural cleaning products research the raw materials of the MSDS sheets. These will tell you if any hazardous raw materials are contained in the formula. Solvents, acids, bleach will all contain some type of harsh chemical. While they will clean you are endangering your carpet, pets, and yourself.
Natural cleaning products industry now have a new outlook on getting rid of pet stains and pet odors. The problem most do not find until they are sick is that when pet stain carpeting, they leave behind bacteria and digestive enzymes that can pollute he lungs of humans as well as pets.

Many pets stains not only keep a dark film of soot on the carpet or furniture, they also leave very pungent odors. This is where most pet stain removers are not cutting the problem and here is why.

In older formulations, most are formulated with the same solution as your common household cleaner or all purpose cleaner. This is mostly because of the scent and the harsh chemical that will initially clean the stain, but let us look a bit deeper. What about the bacteria and ammonia, this is causing problems for individuals with compromised immunity systems.

When you see a pet stain, there is a stain from the urine or feces. But also more importantly there is bacteria that settles to the fibers of the carpeting. This bacteria is not always removed from usual pet stain removers and household cleaners. This is where a mixture of natural enzymes materials.

Why using vinegar and natural household cleaners may worsen the area.

While it is is possible to clean pet stain with natural cleaners in the kitchen, be careful to stay away from bleach and vinegar. In most cases bleach will literally cause a chemical reaction with ammonia and totally pollute the area. You will immediately smell the most pungent odor and the mix of chemicals can definitely hurt your lungs.

Inhalation of ammonia will cause damage to human lungs as well as pets. In many cases there is pet abuse due to amount of high chemicals of ammonia caused from pet urine. Cat urine and dog urine both have ammonia and to allow them to settle on the carpet can be bad for you, your family and pet.

You will not always have to remove the carpeting. There are new natural cleaning products that are perfect for pet stains and pet odors by http://www.mycleaningproducts.com.

There is other solutions to getting rid of pet stains literally with no wiping. Also as an added bonus the smells and bacteria will be neutralized not leaving any dangerous chemicals and bacteria behind. When battling pet stains be sure to use a natural pet stain remover that contains a natural enzyme that can destroy the bacteria, stains, and odors. Don't be fooled using vinegar, this pungent odor will stain inside the home for quite a while and not destroy pet odors, but only mask them. If you are curious on trying a new carpet pet stain remover there is actually during this week a new launch where you can receive a free sample of Stainerizer. Be sure to take a look at the organic pet stain and odor removal formulation that is guaranteed to remove pet stains and odors instantly as well as getting rid of bacteria caused from feces, urine, and vomit.<bio>Get rid of pet stains organically. Ordinary cleaning products may be used and soon after you finish the cleaning, start looking for the real ones. You may go out and look for the best pet stain removers on the nearest pet store or you may go on shopping online as well.

Now, you have decided to go out instead of shopping online and let merchants deliver the product right at the front of your door. Opening the glass door of the nearest pet store, a sudden brain message hit your nerves! Now, remembering that your boyfriend visits you every Saturday, your day was now totally messed!

Being not able to bring any gadget to get in touch with him, you will think he might leave your house without seeing you since nobody is at home but your cute and friendly doggy.
People come and go to our lives. Now you have him, the day after you don't. Now he says he loves you but tomorrow is never guaranteed. His feelings towards you may change overnight and may suddenly dump you for other women.

You tend to look for a constant companion that will never leave you no matter what. Guess what? You can actually look for one who would be with you in times of happy and lonely moments -- and that is by getting yourself a pet!

Yes, you hear it right -- a pet! Pets are considered friends to people. Your bestfriend may cheat when you turn your back. Your boyfriend may change his mind and go get other girls for his own preference. People you considered friends may laugh at your expense but your pet will not dot that.

Pet can be an absorber of your problems and whims. It will not cheat you nor dump you. Time will come you will need people to listen but will make you upset when you hear reactions from them. But talking with your pet, you will surely find a confidante who will always be faithful to you. You can talk to your pet, dance and live with it without strings attached.

Aside from that, you will experience like being a mother or a father to your pet, as case may be. Why, you will feed it with food that is purchased from the nearby pet store with your own money. You will train your dog on how to respond with your different keys and of course, toilet training is also recommended to perform.

Exactly! Toilet training is needed for a pet and when you fail to do it, your day will be messed up by just looking at the not -- so -- good -- looking - sight of their poo and pee. Now, do you have a choice when their seemingly decorated stuff is spread all over your kitchen? or even in sala set? No, you don't have a single choice but to clean up the entire area where their call of nature happens.

Now, remove the stuff by using the best pet stain cleaner and other pet stain removal products. These products will greatly help one in times of need. They will definitely remove the stains in the areas affected. If you have the dog urine cleaner, you may also want to see the result once it is being used.

Carpet pet stain removers can also be used once the carpets are messed up by these friendly pets. There are several ways on how to remove pet stains and each will be discussed thoroughly by the directions written at the back of each product.

Never ruin your day thinking that your dog or pet has greatly damaged the carpets or beddings and sheets in your house. There is a solution to that and that is by using pet stain removal products. These are available either on nearby pet stores or websites in the internet.

Anyway, one thing that is good in having a pet is that you do not worry about yelling at them to embark the behavior you want them to learn. However, it is good as well to train them instead of yelling because pets are like humans that we should take care and protect from external threats.<bio>The best pet stain removers are now available and you may now live your day free from worries of being messed up by your pet's poo an pee. You may also check out for the best pet stain cleaner available online. Pets are lovable unless you don't train it well!</bio>

Problem never comes alone. When rusting begins, not only the metal becomes weak but a lot of secondary problems go prominent. One such problem is rust stain.

Rusted iron is brittle, fragile and looks like reddish-brown dust particles. These particles are very loosely attached with main metal figure and easily slide down to any adjacent surface. Anything that comes into contact with rusted metal gets stained easily.

Hence, when rusting begins, not the iron products corrode only, but a bunch of items gets damaged. This is not at all desired and one should take steps to get out of this mess. Waterproof coating, rust-proofing materials are commonly used to protect metals from rusting.

Mechanical abrasion using sandpaper, wired brush and abrasives can help remove rust from metal. But what about those items that got damaged with rust stain?

Here in this article we would discuss about the things very much susceptible to rust stain and then we would see how to protect them from the clutches of rust!

Clothes, Garments:

Rust stain on clothes and garments appear to be very sticky. These tough stains are difficult to remove. If you wash the stained cloths with general detergent powders, you would have a tough time; chances are that you won't be able to remove the stain.

Wet clothes when come into contact with rusted metals, catch rust stain easily. If the internal parts of washing machine, iron, hangers and clips or the metal rack have rust, chances are your clothes will get spoiled.

One easy solution is using rust-proofing coat on all metal tools. To remove rust stain, you can use any rust stain remover. Follow the instructions that come with the solution. Organic stain removers do not do any harm to the substance and remove stain efficiently.

Upholstery:

Are you using wrought iron furniture at home? Keep checking the upholstery frequently. If the furniture begins to rust, the upholstery fabric or leather easily catches rust stain.

And it is very difficult to clean upholstery fabric as you cannot remove it from the chair or sofa set for washing. The only option left in your hand is to replace it! Costly.

However, spray based rust stain remover can be an easy solution here. Just spray the solution or dab it on the stained area and wait for some time. Patches are going to vanish soon.

Carpet:

Carpet is very much likely to get moistened. Being spread all over the floor it can get damped any time and the moisture is locked inside.

The legs of iron chair and the base of iron furniture are in constant contact with the carpet. The moisture content of the carpet would result in rusting of the metal and the carpet itself would get stained.

Curtains:

Rust often attacks window sidings, awnings, metal frames of windows and doors or the metal structure of retractable awning or canopy. As a result curtains catch rust stain.

Rust on curtain looks ugly. Unfortunately it can happen with your favorite set of curtains too. It is better to stay prepared with organic rust removers and whenever you see traces of rust stain on curtains, just apply the solution right on the spot.<bio>Click to know more about the best rust products to remove rust from metal.</bio>

It's such a terrible feeling when you spill something on your favorite shirt, or maybe your brand new couch. You get that sense that it will never be the same again. Don't lose heart, there may still be hope to get rid of that stain completely.

The first and best step is prevention. If you can protect from stains before they happen, you're way ahead of the game. For example, if you're buying a new couch, you will probably have the option to have the couch treated with Teflon stain protection. My wife and I recently got a couch, and the store treated the couch for a small price. We considered it a good investment to protect our wonderful new couch from potential stain disasters.

Of course, you can't protect everything. In cases where you spill some terribly staining substance on unprotected fabric, the most important thing is to act quickly. Take care of the stain as soon as possible, so that is doesn't have a chance to set in. The longer you wait, the worse your chances are.

The next key point is to use a stain remover and follow the directions exactly as they are written. Also, make sure that your stain remover is not going to ruin your fabric. That would defeat the purpose of removing the stain.

When you are using the stain remover, put the fabric on a towel to soak up the stain, and apply the stain remover at the back. If you apply at the front, it may actually push the stain further into the fabric. The idea is to move the stain out of the fabric, and clear as much as you can with the towel.

Also keep in mind that using bleach to remove a stain may cause uneven color removal. If your garment is colored, make sure you are using the right kind of bleach.

If at first you don't succeed, you can try multiple rounds of stain removal. It may take patience, but often you can see results with multiple applications. Again, be sure to follow the directions exactly as you do this. You may need to be patient and wait for the stain remover to do its work. <bio>Maid in the Shade offers Maid Services in Houston, Texas: http://www.maidhouston.com </bio>

Although various rust remover products are available in the market these days, you can create you own formula at home. Familiarizing yourself with he ingredients you can even find in your kitchen will help you make low cost but effective rust removers.

There are lots of rust remover products available in the market. There are also some common household items you can use to fight rust stains. These items can be used separately or combined so as to make effective, safe rust removers.

Here are some of them:

1.	Hydrogen Peroxide
2.	Cream of Tartar
3.	Borax
4.	Baking Soda

All these materials can be mixed in order to make a homemade type of "rust remover paste".

Hence, Baking soda or Borax can be replaced with similar products as well. They mainly add grit to the solution, without causing harm to the surface when it is used.

To make the solution, do the following steps:

1 teaspoon of cream of tartar
1 cup of borax or baking soda
Hydrogen Peroxide

•	Mixed all the ingredients in order to make a thick paste.

•	Rub the paste onto the rust spot and leave it for 30 minutes. The rust stain should afterwards be wiped away using a damp sponge. If there are still some stains, repeat the process.

•	White vinegar is commonly found at home. It is also a good rust stain remover.

Procedures:

-	Just spray the mixture directly onto the rust stain and scrub it in.
-	Spray it again with white vinegar and let it stand for 20 to 30 minutes.
-	After doing this, the rust stain should come off easily once the white vinegar is wiped away.

Another homemade rust remover solution includes:

A cup of borax
Lemon juice

•	Mix the two ingredients. It will become paste which you can apply directly to the stain.
•	Let it stand for 20 to 30 minutes.
•	Scrub it away afterwards. This is although it may still take a few applications before it will become successful. Thus, this is safe for many surfaces, pets and children.

Other Rust Remover:

1.	NO-OX-ID METAL CORROSION PROTECTION

This is a rust proofing product that stops rust and blocks corrosion. It forms a barrier coating so as to ensure corrosion protection for severe corrosive and marine environments. The NO-OX-ID anti corrosion coating has Sanchem's active corrosion inhibitor system. It prevents rust with just one coating application. This is not paint. It is a rust preventive metal treatment that can work in:

-	highly corrosive
-	high humidity and
-	high salt environments

This product is RoHS complient. Sanchem is ISO-9001.

Features:

-	It requires minimum surface preparation
-	It has a clean environmentally friendly MSDS
-	It does not require curing or drying time
-	It can be applied in any climate
-	It protects pipes and valves against rust and corrosion for years in the most severe environment like:

a.	tidal areas
b.	lock and dams
c.	salt plants
d.	chemical manufacturing plants
e.	pineapple processing plants and
f.	sewerage treatment plant

-	It can be applied onto a wet surface.

•	Submerge a small piece of clean metal onto a small container of water.
•	Dip the other hand in NO-OX-ID.
•	Rub it on the metal while under water. You will then see the excellent bond of the NO-OX-ID onto the metal.

Rust remover products are unique formulas used in eliminating rust stains. It uses oxalic acid. Oxalic acid is not only toxic; it can also wear down a variety of surfaces like:

-	metal and
-	plastic

Hence, rust stains have destructive tendencies. It can cause problems to homes and businesses. Rust stains are reddish brown or dark red in color. You can see it inside pipes. It can also create rusty water stains when water flows. Thus, rust stains can be removed with a little hard work and a rust remover.<bio>For more information on Rust Removers please visit our website.</bio>

Imagine that you are hosting a party for some of your best friends. The atmosphere is bubbling with the excitement of everyone chatting and mingling with each other, when all of a sudden you hear a crashing sound and see the sight that every host prays will never happen; a glass of red wine has taken a swan dive and landed not on your tile floor where it is easy to clean up but on to your very embarrassed guest and all over your furniture. It would appear that Murphy's Law has struck again, but don't panic, it is possible to get red wine stains out!

The first thing to do (aside from not panicking) when cleaning red wine spills is to remove the excess spillage. If the wine has been spilled on a couch or carpet take an absorbent cloth (something you don't mind being stained) or paper towel and blot the excess wine, do not rub in any way! The point of blotting it to remove the wine without working it further into the fabric. If it was a piece of clothing that has been spilled on, remove the article and blot in the same manner.

Once the excess wine has been removed it is very important to rinse the carpet, furniture or clothing to dilute the wine before it has a chance to set in. The best method for this is going to vary on what exactly where the spill is. For clothing or other items that are easily removed, pour cold water from the backside. For items such as carpets and sofas pouring water directly onto the stain and blotting with an absorbent cloth immediately works best.

There is a good chance that this will not take the stain out completely. Carpet and furniture cleaner very well may need to be used. In the past I have had much success with Resolve cleaners for carpets, and for laundry there are many stain removers that should be helpful. A little trick my mother taught me which works wonders is Lestoil. I know some of you may be thinking to yourself that you always thought Lestoil was a floor cleaner, but when diluted with water and used as a soaking agent it works wonders on lots of stains including grease (when mixed with hot water) and wine (when mixed with cold water).

Of course even with all your best efforts there is always the chance that the red wine is going to be so stubborn that you need to call in the professionals. Carpets and furniture sometimes are dry clean only but it is still best to remove as much of the stain as possible while it is still wet because this will make it easier for the professionals to remove the remnants.

The key to ensuring effective stain removal is time. Do not let a stain sit for days or weeks before deciding to try to remove it and don't wait a week before ringing a carpet cleaner because by then it might just be too late and the stain is now a permanent fixture. The same goes for clothing, don't wait to wash your shirt or pants. I once watched a friend take a shirt out of the washing machine become horrified at the fact that the red wine didn't come out of her top. When I asked her when she spilled on herself, she told me that it was from a week before. No wonder the stain didn't come out!

In the end there is always going to be the possibility that the stain has decided that it never wants to come out or it will not come out completely. Taking the proper steps the moment a spill occurs can greatly reduce the chance of a permanent stain. There is no easy way to prevent spills and stains, aside from slipcovers or not serving red wine at social events, so when a spill does happen remember to stay calm, work quickly and to blot. <bio>Ken Finnigan is the CEO of http://www.finestwineracks.com a website specializing in quality decorative wine racks and durable wine storage systems. </bio>

One of the current biggest threats to computer users today is called malware. Malware is software which hides itself onto your PC and does its malicious work while you are working obliviously at your PC. It can hijack your computer, redirect you to other webpages, serve you pop up ads, collect and send information stored on your PC like your online banking passwords.

There are several ways to get infected with malware. You can get infected by installing programs which are bundled with malware. A good example are file sharing programs also known as peer-to-peer file sharing programs. Also you can get infected by visiting certain websites. Usually the program poses as a legitimate program you need to install to view the webpage. Another way to get infected is visiting websites which take advantage of "security holes" in your browser. So it's very important to run the latest security updates of your operating system.

What can happen to you and your PC when you are infected with malware?

The people who receive the information send by the program could steal information stored on your PC or entered by you at your keyboard. They could withdraw money from your online bank account. Another use for information theft is to impersonate you with false documents and get a loan or buy a new car in your name. You might even get in to trouble with the law as they attack servers from PC. Another common use for malware is by using the infected PC's for sending spam. People could get spam originating from your PC.

How can you detect that you are infected with malware?

The easiest way to detect and remove these programs is by using malware removers. These malware removers can scan your PC for the latest malware programs. Other signs of infection could be a slow internet connection with the internet, high loads and thrashing of the harddrive. Even if you find the malware it will be hard to delete because some of these programs can replicate themselves.

How can you protect your PC from these programs?

Regularly update your Windows via the windows update website or automatically via windows update! Always be wary of websites demanding you to have to install programs to use their website. Use special malware removers / scanners to scan your system for malware, spyware and adware.

Scan your PC today to prevent being infected by malware. Most software vendors offer a free software trial version. It will usually perform a full system scan and remove some of the problems. If you like the software you can buy it later through their website. <bio>For more information on malware removers visit: http://www.free-registry-cleaners.biz/malware-removers/.
In most cases you will notice that rust has been on your driveway and sidewalks for ever. While most rust removers will just tear apart your sidewalk and driveway, you could go a bit softer. How do you softer when with concrete rust removal. Simple, go organic and do less work and not kill any of your plants.

Concrete rust removal usually involves some harsh acids and pretty nasty chemicals. This is not the case anymore, in fact new natural cleaning product manufacturers are developing ways to get rid of rust from the cement by neutralizing it.

They now have specific products that are being used in the skyscrapers in New York city and also the bridges. Once the population heard there was a easier way to remove rust without even having to wipe it or scrub it away, the organic concrete rust removers are now in many commercial businesses.

So how do you not get burned and how do you actually neutralize rust so you do not have to wipe or scrub it?

This is in the chemistry of a product. While older products used acid to neutralize, we now have newer and pure raw materials that work extremely well.

These raw materials are combined and form an organic solution that you can use indoors and outdoors.
We've all seen those nasty rust spots on vehicles or even lawn furniture. What exactly is rust? Rust is the end product when you combine iron oxides with oxygen and then it is exposed to water or moisture in the air. Rusting is a form of corrosion. As things corrode they begin to break down and disintegrate. Rust can form on various types of surfaces.

To protect your possession you need to practice the fine art of rust prevention. You can protect various surfaces by keeping them dry and away from moisture or even painting them. However, should you find that dreaded rust spot and you've caught it early on; a little rust remover can save the day. Not just any rust remover will do though. Rust is a harsh thing to deal with but the products you use to remove the rust should be so hard on your health. Chemical based rust removers can contain harmful odors and vapors that can be harmful to your lungs. The harsh chemicals and abrasives in the rust removers can be damaging to your skin.

When searching for a rust remover you want to find a product that will be fairly simple to use, will preferably be biodegradable and will be nonhazardous to the health of all those around it. You don't have this guarantee when you use chemical based rust removers. All natural rust removers are safer to use and just as effective. Now we all know that rust breaks down the metal. So even though you can stop the rust from spreading, you won't be able to rebuild that metal back up. Sure you can cover it and protect it but once rust breaks down the material, you can only repair it and stop future rusting from occurring. This is where the benefit of a quality rust remover comes in handy.

Some people prefer the corrosion method to getting rid of rust. With this method you use an acidic base to basically eat away the rust. Now close your eyes and think of it this way. If you are using a product that can eat away the rust on a piece of metal, is that something that you want to have your hands in? Doesn't sound inviting does it? This is why all natural rust removers are the preferred products to use. Natural rust removers contain no acidic compounds that can be bad for your health. Most are organic in nature and can be used on almost any surface that contains rust. An all natural alternative is a safe and environmentally friendly way to get rid of rust.
Chances are you know about following the how to clean instructions on labels that are sewn into your cloths? But what if you spill wine, or find that you have a nasty rust stain on your new blouse or shirt?

The first thought that may enter your mind, can I or can't I use bleach safely? Labels at best tell you weather its safe to wash or dry clean only. Sometimes a label will mention if it's safe to use bleach or not. But much of the time there is no mention of bleach, or weather it can be used when laundering? Many of today newer fabrics, including colored fabrics, need bleach as well as detergent to help keep them clean, and free of stains.

A good tip to follow: When to use bleach? When the label doesn't mention bleaching or says bleach when needed, you can safely use chlorine or non-chlorine bleach on the article of clothing, as a rule.

Now, what about stains that bleach just won't get out or the fabric won't tolerate bleach? I have listed some stain removal tips on common substances that as a rule are very hard to get out. Please keep in mind all of these stain removal tips work better if the garment is tended to quickly, without the stain having time to set, and dry. Depending how bad the stain is will determine the number of times the stain treatment may have to be repeated.

1. Wine:

Treat stain promptly. Apply a mixture of laundry detergent and glycerin, sponge in, leave in for a few minutes; sponge the stain with cool water. If persists repeat.

2. Grass or foliage:

Sponge the stain with rubbing alcohol. Then rub laundry detergent into stain, rinse with cool water. Repeat until stain is gone. Then launder article.

3. Ink:

Apply lukewarm water and glycerin to the stain. Blot with paper towel. Repeat until stain is gone.

4. Paint:

Treat stain immediately. Wash garment immediately in warm water and detergent. If stain does not come out sponge stain with turpentine, then soak garment over night in hot water.

5. Perspiration:

Sponge the garment with ammonia. Wash in warm water. If stain is old, sponge with white vinegar, let sit 10 minutes launder in warm water.

6. Rust:

Moisten stain with water. Sprinkle stain with salt. Drip on fresh lemon juice. Dry in the sun. Then wash in warm water, and detergent.

7. Urine:

Sponge the stain with white vinegar. Wash in cold water and detergent.

8. Blood:

Soak article in cold water. For old blood stains sponge stain with ammonia, then wash with cold water and detergent.

9. Coffee and Tea:

Immediately wet stain with hot water, work in laundry detergent into stain. Wash in hot water.

10. Axle grease or oil:

Scrape as much of the oil off as you can, wet with hot water, rub in detergent. Wash in warm water.

11.
If you apply wood stain then you need to choose the right one for the type of floor that you are using to avoid shoddy results.

Wooden floors in the home can help to give a clean and immaculate look, as well as having some great benefits compared to carpets. The price of wooden floors can range dramatically, but it depends upon a personand#8217;s budget and personal preferences mainly as to which one you choose.

No matter how much a person spends on the wooden flooring, it is agreed that looking after it is very important. Without looking after it, you could waste your money as it could end up scrawny, tattered or even damaged. There are quite a few things that you can do to treat your wooden floors to give them an extra protective layer, as well as making them look great at the same time. One method that you may want to try is to stain or varnish them.

Choosing the Right Floor Stain as Part of Your Wood Furniture Care

There is more to it than just simply applying a stain to the flooring because there are various different types available and you shouldnand#8217;t jump to the conclusion that one will suit all wooden floors. By applying the correct floor stain it ensures that there is no splotching or streaking anywhere. You need to find one that is suitable for the type of wooden floor that you have. You will find that with the different types of wooden floor stains out there, they all have their pros and cons so always make sure that you have a look at each one to make a decision.

A pigmented wiping stain will be a good choice of stain to use if your floor is made from hickory, oak or even ash wood. Basically with this type of stain it is a diluted varnish and because of this it helps to keep particles in it from wiping away from the pores in the wood. To apply the wiping stain you need to use lots of cotton free lint rags to avoid having to pick lint from the dried floor later on. You need to plan how you will stain the floor so that you start from one end and go right to the other. You also need to apply the stain and afterwards check to see if you have missed any spots. It is a good idea to fill in any spots that you missed as soon as possible, as it may be harder later on when it has dried.

If you want to stain your floor then you need to know what you are doing, otherwise you may apply the wrong stain or apply it incorrectly. If you do make any of these mistakes then you could end up with extremely shoddy results. <bio>Adam Peters is the author of many resources on backyard ideas related topics published at http://www.home-decorating-reviews.com .
Staining will help bring out your hardwood flooring's character and uniqueness. Before applying your stain you need to make sure your floor is completely free of dust, grit and other particles. Dust likes to hide deep in the wood grain, be sure to really get in there to get those dust monsters out. More tips for thorough cleaning can be found at http://www.layingwoodflooring.com..

Make sure the area you are working in is well ventilated. Inhaling fumes from the wood stain can cause you to pass out if you breathe them in for too long. Most stains are solvent based which makes them flammable. Do not smoke while you are applying the stain. If you are working near a pilot light take the precaution and extinguish it, it's better not to take the chance.

Wood floor stains are either oil based or water based. Oil based are most common and preferred because they are easy to use. Water based is a newer type which accounts for the difference in popularity. Always test your stain in a corner or, better yet, on a scrap piece of wood before applying it to the whole floor.

Make sure traffic is diverted from the area before beginning. No one should come near your floor while you are staining or waiting for it to dry. To apply the stain, work from the corners and rub the stain in using a rag. Go with the wood grain and wipe off any excess as you go along. Stain should not sit on the wood, it will raise the grain of the wood and show every imperfection when it dries.

It is a best practice to allow your floor to dry overnight before attempting to walk on it or apply any type of finish. Once you're sure your wood is completely dry you are ready to put on your wood flooring finish. <bio>More refinishing hardwood flooring information can be found at http://www.layingwoodflooring.com./sitemap/index.html plus wood flooring care and maintenance tips. </bio>

Fall is approaching fast and with this time of year comes cookouts, dinner parties and holiday parties. As you get your home in order and ready for these events, one thing to remember is that your carpets need to be cleaned. You want to put your best foot forward and cleaning your carpets is one way of doing that.

Depending on the severity of the stains in your carpet you may be able to get away with a simple canned rug cleaner or you may end up having to rent a professional rug cleaner. If you have only a few simple spots that you'd like to treat then getting a can of stain remover followed up my a can of rug cleaner is the way to go. Both will work in unison together and will typically get the stains right out. If you have those deep down, set in stains then you'll want to invest in renting a professional rug cleaner. This method will allow you take hot water and a bottle of rug cleaner and gently work the stains out of the carpet. By applying the hot solution to the stain then sucking it back up, those deep down stains tend to come up quickly. If not don't panic, just repeat the process a few times and that normally does the trick.

The best step to cleaning your carpet is to prevent the stains from day one. Several of today's carpets come already treated with Scotch Guard. However there are other stain protectors that can do the same thing. Often times something is spilt on the carpet and we think we got it up. However, when we come back the stain is still there. This is from the stain being partially removed but the remaining spill which has settled at the base of the carpet still remains. To prevent this from happening, simply place a cloth over the stain and set a heavy object on top of that and leave it overnight. This will allow the pressure to help soak up any excess moisture. Often after doing so you won't need a rug cleaner but just a simple spot treater.

Never attempt to use a heat source such as a dryer to dry the stain. Doing so will only set the stain in and make it harder and sometimes impossible to remove later with a rug cleaner. Should you have mold or mildew stains on your carpet try using a non-chlorine bleach to help treat these areas. This along with a professional steam rug cleaner should help remove the mildew.

Of course the key is to treat a stain immediately after it happens. If you do this right away then water usually takes car of the spill. Be sure to read the instructions on the product you use. Follow the manufacturer's directions carefully to avoid any further damage to your carpet. Stains don't have to be the end all to your get togethers. A few prevention methods as well as knowing how to treat those little accidents will make your life easier down the road.<bio>Don't let carpet stains tie you down. With the right rug cleaner, you can remove those little nuisances.</bio>

Choosing whether to clean a carpet yourself or have a professional. Instructions on how to clean a carpet yourself. Save money by doing it yourself.

It seems like as soon as you get something new. it will get stained. The same is true of your new carpet. You are usually extra careful when the carpet is brand new. but that won't stop the stains from being attracted to it. Luckily. you can get rid of stains on carpets. if only you find the right way. The two main options are to try to take care of it yourself. or hire a professional to get rid of the stains.

If you have a small stain on your carpet. it is probably not worth while to hire a professional to clean it up. A small stain can usually be removed using materials you may already have. It can be easy or difficult to lift these small stains: it will depend upon how large the stain is. and how long it has been sitting. A small. fresh stain will usually be relatively easy to get rid of. A large stain that you were not able to get to right away may take a longer time to treat. The very first thing you have to do if you want to make stain removal easier. is to blot as much of the stain up with plain white paper towels. Blotting is the best way to go. because excess rubbing will damage the fiber. and this may make the stains set better into the broken fiber.

The most common household items used or cleaning carpet stains are dishwashing liquid. dilluted household ammonia. hydrogen peroxide. rubbing alcohol and white vineger. Of course. there are also commercial products expressly developed for cleaning carpets.

To get rid of a stain. you will need one of the above cleaning solutions. plus: paper towels. a spray bottle and a brick. The brick is to keep the paper towel in place as you are using it to blot the stain. For grease stains. blot the stain first with the paper towel. Putting a little isopropyl alcohol on the towel will help lift the grease. But you cannot use a lot of alcohol; you do not want it to soak into the carpet. For stains that have not set too deeply. rub gently in one direction.

If a stain is a water based spill. just using a wet vacuum immediately may get rid of the problem quickly. If. however. the stain has been sitting for a while. you may have to moisturize the stain with a little water to help with removal. Remember. a little water; we don't want the rug saturated. Let the water sit and use the blotting technique as usual. Use dishwashing detergent to gently lift the stain. If the stain remains. spray with water and remove the solution just used and start with something stronger. Put something like hydrogen peroxide on the towel and blot with that. Keep trying until the stain is gone.

This is a time consuming process that you have to work at. but if you want to save money. it is worth the effort. Professional carpet cleaners can be expensive. especially if they work by the hour. and part of that time is just waiting for the cleaning method to take effect. You can be doing the same thing yourself instead of paying for it. <bio>Andrew Caxton is a syndicated columnist of http://www.home-decorating-reviews.com .
The high quality finish for your project can be the crowning touch the really shows off the beauty of the wood. Completing a really fine finish takes time, skill and good quality materials. A fine finish cannot be rushed experiences has taught fine woodworkers a little patience will go a long ways towards achieving a good quality finish.

The first up the good finish is prepping the wood it must be properly sanded as a rule of thumb down to 180 to 220 grit sandpaper depending on the type of wood. Remember to always sand with the grain and not across the grain if you sand across the grain you can leave scratches that will show up once the wood has been stained, all curved surfaces Will need to be sanded by hand by starting with a heavy grit work up to a finer grit. A little trick that I've learned is to wipe the wood down with mineral spirits prior to staining this will show any scratches in the wood that normally would not show up until you apply a stain. It is also a good idea to lightly sand all sharp edges.

Once your project has been prepped you are now ready to apply the stain But I prefer to use it in oil based stain tie have not found any water based stains that come close to a good quality of oil base stain. When using any softwoods as good idea to use a wood conditioner prior to staining soft woods can make the stain appear blotchy as the stain is not absorbed evenly by the wood. The bus practiced I've found for staining is to simply use old cloth that is clean of course and apply a liberal amount of stain to work peace allow the stain to set for a few minutes And wipe off any extra with a clean cloth. Allow the stain to dry prior to finishing with a top coat. The easiest most durable top coat to apply is a polyurethane clear finish it will take several coats most likely to three to two desired finish. I prefer to apply 2 coats of polyurethane And allow to dry thoroughly and sand off any dust particles that are stuck in the clear coat and follow up with a third and final coat. Once the third code has tried I like to wet sand with 320 grit sandpaper and then buff to a fine finish <bio>Megan Cherry writes for http://www.pegandrail.com </bio>

No matter how careful with our belongings we may be, there is always the risk of something untoward happening. This is especially true when it comes to the clothes we wear. You can be as careful of the fabric of your clothing as is possible, but sometimes, you can't help but put a stain on your clothes.

Don't Panic, It Can be Done

If in fact, one of your merino wool belongings gets stained, there are very easy ways to get them out without compromising the fabric. As long as you care for your merino wool products the way the manufacturers recommend, getting rid of stains may be easier than it would be if it was made of any other fabric. Taking care of your merino wool will ensure that your initial investment of a few dollars can take care of you and your family for many years to come.

• Blood - Whether it comes from a new tooth or it comes from a meeting between head and hard surfaces, blood may be one of the most difficult stains to remove. When you are dealing with merino wool, you can remove the stain quickly and easily. Work your way from the outside to the inside and blot gently. You want to keep the stain from spreading any further, so do not rub the stain. Use a soft, clean rag that is dampened with cold water to work the stain.

• Burns - If one of your guests inadvertently burns or scorches your merino wool upholstery or rug, the first order of business is to brush the ashes, burn or scorch marks with a soft brush before you begin to try and clean it. Once you have removed the offending material, gently soak a piece of material in peroxide and water and gently dab the affected area. Remember not to rub, as this may spread the stain further.

• Butter and Oils - If you drop anything on your wool that is oil based, the first thing you should do is to scoop as much of the offending gunk off as possible. These stain producers may be ice cream, salad dressing, butter, or any oils used for cooking.

• Red Wine - This can be the one stain that most people fear. Red wine can stain quickly and easily. When you have a merino wool product that has been splashed with red wine, you should immediately blot the stain and cover with a substance that is absorbent such as talcum powder or salt. Leave it to absorb overnight, and then vacuum the next day.

Time is of The Essence

The highest success rates of removing stains from merino wool as with any fabric is speed. It is said that if you treat 9 out of 10 spots immediately and with the proper cleaning methods, you can remove them without anyone ever knowing they were there. If you have fine merino wool products in your closet and the rest of your home as well, keeping an emergency kit for unexpected stains can go a long way in enjoying your belongings for a long time to come.<bio>Brenda Reese writes for a pashmina company and is based in Tokyo.</bio>
