Every daycare needs a way of communicating to their parents and a newsletter is a great way of sharing important information. Every newsletter should be fun, exciting and newsworthy.

Activities that children participate and love at daycare can be shared with parents. There are so many things that happen at your daycare so don't be afraid to tell parents about all the activities and fun that is going on. Your parents will appreciate every bit of information that you tell them so don't hold back they will love it.

Tip #1 Make your newsletter appealing. Use fonts, pictures, and make sure you spell correctly. You want parents to be exited about picking it up.

Tip#2 Always use the same color of pager, the same font. You don't want parents getting confused as to what's going on.

Tip#3 Talk about your parents and children, mention little things about them with their permission. Have lots of pictures of the parents and children who attend your daycare.

Tip#4 Talk about what is going on in your classroom and how parents can reinforce that behavior.

Tip#5 List resources that would be helpful to parents. Websites, magazines, books, that would help parents with raising their children.

Tip#6 Find out what kind of information your parents are looking for in your newsletter. Don't feel shy- ask your parents what kind of information they are looking for, maybe they need help with potty training their toddler, or are frustrated by todder behavior. There is truly so much information that you could include in your newsletter that would help parents in "parenting".

Your parents will love having a newsletter that will communicate all the activities and fun that occurs at your daycare center. Make sure it's fun and inviting, and the rest will fall in place.

© CG Groth Inc. <bio>The "Daycare Queen", Christine G.
Raising children is the most important job in the world. Raising children is a wonderful and challenging life experience. Here's the problem: people assume that raising children is only the job of the women, men do not take child raising seriously in our culture. If raising children is so hard, why do people still want to have kids? Downgrading the importance of raising children is the greatest evil of our times. It is time to face it, raising children is the responsibility of parents. Raising children is a never-ending job. Raising children is much harder than it looks, but with patience and hope, children can mature into very emotionally-secure adults.

Child care is a partnership. Child care is a necessary part of life for many families. First-time parents explore and document the care and development of a human baby. Do you feel comfortable with someone else taking care of your child? Taking care of yourself is a vital part of keeping your child safe. No job is more important to you than taking care of your own child. I don't think that the care of children should be gender specific.

Parents play a very important role in when raising children in a safe and loving home homes. Parents recognize and deal with their children's most challenging traits in a positive manner. Parents earning low or moderate incomes are under extreme pressure to meet the costs of raising children and overall household expenses. All parents face challenges in raising children. Parents decide to accept the responsibility of raising children. Therefore, workshop models for teaching parents how to cope with the stress associated with raising children has been developed.

Good child care provides parents with an extended family to help share in the challenges and joys of raising children. Creating a stable family environment and raising children should be a joy. It recognizes the critical role that the family plays in American society and in raising children. Poor family values and poor communication skills with children is what leads children to rebel. Siblings can cause many joys and frustrations in any family. It is difficult to balance this philosophy with a family life that places value on raising children.

Raising children is not an easy task. Raising children is at heart a practice that engages and embodies a rich variety of developed and undeveloped theories. The smartest advice on raising children is to enjoy them while they are still on your side. Like all parents, they have found that raising children is both challenging and unpredictable. It seems to me that raising children is a catch-22 when it comes to finances. <bio>Melissa Fishman is the owner of http://www.mailordermommy.com Mailordermommy sells personalized party favors </bio>

In the past, people married right out of high school and college and had their children while they were still in their twenties. Due to the fact that many people are marrying at a later age and having children while they are in their thirties and forties.

Many of these parents are quick to point out the advantages of having children when you are older. When compared with people in their twenties, these older parents are more financially stable. They have successful careers and can provide their children with more expensive material items. They also can give their kids educational advantages that younger parents could not afford.

Older parents may also be less self absorbed than their younger counterparts. Younger couples may resent the fact that they cannot go out on the weekends while older parents have outgrown this phase in their lives.

These more mature parents also have additional life experiences to draw from when dealing with their children, making them more prepared to become parents. Older parents also tend to have more patience in dealing with younger children.

Older parents also tend to put more stock in the quality time with their youngsters. Due to their maturity, older people tend not to take the small things for granted.

There are several disadvantages to staring a family at a more advanced age. Many older parents do not possess the physical stamina that their younger counterparts have. For these parents, simple activities such as running and climbing may be impossible for them to do.

These older parents also have to worry about their encroaching old age and death. Many of these individuals worry that they will become a burden on their child just as this youngster is becoming an adult. They also have the worry that death will take them before their child reaches adulthood.

An older parent's set of values may not be in sync with the modern problems and issues that their child is dealing with. An older parent may need to educate themselves about these issues so they can better advise their child about how to act in a specific situation.

When speaking to children who have older parents, the negative and positive views vary. While some children feel that they are closer to their older parents when compared to their friends whose parents are younger, others feel that the age gap causes more problems for them. Many children feel embarrassed when their parent sits on a bench at the park while younger parents are playing with their children. It may also embarrass them when strangers assume that their parents are their grandparents. Having the oldest parents present at school functions may also make the child feel uncomfortable.

These children may also feel that their parents are too old fashioned to offer any viable advise and may avoid discussing their problems with their parents. Other children feel that they can speak more openly with their older parents as these adults are less quick to judge than younger parents might be.

There are advantages and disadvantages to being an older parent.
Most children live in an idyllic world of saturday cartoons and the loving care of their parents. Unfortuantely, there comes a time when a child will experience death for the first time and it becomes the responsibility of parents to educate their young children on the subject of death and dying. Death is a difficult subject to work with at any age, but there are several things you can do to make the explanation process easier for those involved. Death does not necessarily have to be a dark and onerous conversation with your children - in fact, it pretty much should not be that way anyhow.

1. Children Understand Things Differently Than Adults

The media have most likely already given your children some sense of death but they likely don't fully understand or appreciate the subject and haven't discussed it with you until now.

2. Discussing Death With Your Children

Explaining an idea such as death is different from explaining something physical that your children are able to see, taste or touch. Try and explain things from the simplest level you can. If you wish, you can use this as an opportune time to go over the other big talk you will need to have with your children - birth.

3. Helping Children Coping With Loss

- Different children take loss differently - If your child loses a pet, be sure to hold a goodbye funeral for the pet - Keep discussion open for more than one day - The heaviest toll is when a child loses one or both of their parents

4. Inform Children At An Early Age

Children should be given ample time to mull over the concepts of life and death in their minds. Do not wait until their pet dies in order to explain the subjects of death and dying to your children. Many parents agree that children respond best to an open discussion rather than, say, an informational video. <bio>For more great child death related articles and resources check out http://morguehq.info </bio>

Many children have sleep disorders that interrupt their lives, and those of their parents and siblings as well. A child sleep disorder can make life very difficult and interfere with the necessities of life. Parents who worry about the child sleep disorders in their family might rest assured that they are not alone. Many parents face similar problems. One of the main child sleep disorders that parents face is a child cannot sleep through the night. Most parents do not want their child to be awake in the middle of the night by themselves so this problem can affect their sleep as well.

The problems with some children are just part of their makeup because they do not sleep well through the night. Adults and children have sleep cycles that go between deep sleep and light sleep. The deep sleep cycle is when a person dreams. During the light sleep cycle, the child is more likely to wake up. Since each person goes through several of these cycles during the night, there are several times during the night when the child sleep disorder might occur. Infants do not usually sleep through the night for some time. These small babies have a light sleep cycle every fifty minutes. Parents of infants all know that this is the case, and they work to get their child on the proper sleep cycle.

A Child Sleep Disorder Can Interrupt the Necessary Amount of Sleep

Children need much more sleep than their parents although sometimes they want to stay up as long as their parents stay awake. A child in school needs between nine and twelve hours of sleep every night. They need at least nine hours to be ready to participate properly in school activities. There are many children who do not get this amount of sleep, and many of these do not do as well in school because of this. Children who are getting enough sleep will wake up easily. All parents who have trouble getting their children to wake up should know that their children need more sleep.

Children should also be able to fall asleep quickly. If they toss and turn for more than thirty minutes before they fall asleep, there is some kind of a problem. Children should be able to stay awake throughout the day if they are getting enough, proper sleep at night. There is information that a substantial number of children are not alert at school and that their drowsiness interferes with their education to some extent. <bio>Simon Peters is the owner of http://on-sleep-disorders.com, it is THE best source for advice on the subject of insomnia and sleep disorders . . . </bio>

Homeschooling is sometimes not given enough credit. Many people fail to see that homeschooling have a lot of benefits for both parents and children. First, the usual trouble of waking up very early in the morning to get ready for school is eliminated, as well as the long waiting until the children return home after classes. Homeschooling enables you to have control over other things that may affect your child. You will be able to create a curriculum that suits your child's needs and interests, therefore learning is a much enjoyable endeavor for your child.

Homeschooling also benefits the children in such a way that individual attention is given to them. There are no fixed hours per subject when children are homeschooled. If one child needs more time to learn Math, schedules for other subjects could be adjusted in order fill the need of the child. Children who are homeschooled learn at their own pace without the pressure of the regular school setup.

Parents and children are also able to spend more quality time together. Field trips and experiments become family activities that help in bonding the parents and their children. Children will also be safer from peer pressure and learn how to decide based on their own preferences and not the influence of their friends.

When children are homeschooled, they are not pressured to prove themselves better than other children. Their self-esteem is intact as they do not feel the need for competition. Children have different learning styles. And there is no person who knows a child better than a parent. Homeschooling enables parents to find out the most effective methods that help their children to learn faster and easier. Parents may setup a curriculum based on the strengths and weaknesses of their children.

These days, parents are getting more disenfranchised with the public school system. There is not little faith in the system as parents think that their children are pushed too hard or too little towards learning. Some parents worry about the discipline and ethics among educators.

If you have time to spare, you may consider homeschooling your child. Both you and your child will learn in the process, and you will become a lot closer to one another. You are the person who understands and appreciates your child the most. There is no one better to teach your child what he needs than you, the parent. <bio>Luke Cameron is owner of Your Kids Today - an online magazine offering news, tips and articles on parenting related topics.
One of my biggest frustrations in life is seeing parents who do not know how to parent. I believe strongly that being a parent is one of life's greatest privileges. However, with this great privilege, like all other privileges, comes great responsibility. One of our greatest contributions to our society and to the generations that come behind us happens in the way that we parent are children. What could be more important than learning how to parent and doing it well?

You've all been there and seen it. A bowling alley late at night. Beside your lane are parents that look like kids themselves. They are enjoying beer and way too many cigarettes. You would never guess they were parents unless you saw their young children wandering around them in between frames. You know without looking at your watch that it is way too late for children that young to still be awake let alone out in public. You can't help but wonder as their parents get drunk while ignoring them what kind of life the children lead and what kind of parents they truly are.

My desire to inform people about the realities of parenting began as a scene much like the one I just described happened as I bowled with friends one night. I went home to where my children were safely in bed after having been tucked into bed with their favorite story by their father and I just had to wonder what the lives of those neglected children would be like in twenty years compared to the lives of my own children twenty years down the road. I couldn't help but think of the great role that a parent plays in the growth and development of their children.

If you are a parent, then please, please learn how to be a good parent. Take classes, read books, or get counseling. Do whatever is necessary for you to become the kind of parent that your children so desperately need in order to grow up as healthy, smart and successful people. The future of your children and even their children depend on the kind of parent you will be. Realize that raising children is one of the best privileges you could have in life. Take that privilege seriously and give your children the time, attention, and love that they need. The day you become a parent is the day that life stops being all about you. So please, if you are a parent or ever plan to be one, act like it. The whole world will be glad you did. <bio>Analeese Burnabaker is passionate about educating people on the importance of being a good parent.
Seeing your children go to school and learn things can be fun. It makes you feel that you have, in a way, imparted them the most treasured gift that you can give them -- EDUCATION.

However, with many influences that lurk in school, you might even wonder if sending them to school is the best gift, indeed. Many parents are worried how children are getting their behaviors changed whenever they are in school.

That's why homeschool had been created in order to provide a feasible option for parents who wish to educate their children in a way where they can supervise personally. They want to find a way where they can instill in them the values that they want their children to have.

All of these things are contained in homeschooling. In this manner, parents are able to control and instigate the kind of education they want their children to learn. They can manage their children's behavior and impart in them the values that they want their children to learn.

However, what people do not know is that the very important aspect why homeschooling is a great alternative to traditional schooling is based on the fact that both the parents and the children can have fun learning things.

With homeschooling, parents can make their children's learning process more fun and less rigid compared to the traditional school system.

Here's a list on how to make homeschooling your children fun:

1. Make reading more fun

The best way to teach a child is to make things easier for him or her to understand and learn. The best way to do this is to incorporate fun in the setting.

For instance, if you want to teach your children to read, it would be better if you will read to them just to have some fun. Let them enhance their imagination by generating life in the characters included in the story. In this way, they will be able to learn things with lots of fun.

Create a connection with their books and not instill in them the norms and standards set by the typical school system.

2. Make learning comfortable

If the children or the students are comfortable with the program, then homeschooling can be more fun. It will generate more enthusiasm compelling the children to participate in the process.

The point here is that in order to make homeschooling more fun is that parents should never be constrained on the idea of teaching itself. They should teach by example. That is, indeed, a fun way of learning things. <bio>It doesn't matter if you just want to explore home schooling possibilities or have made the decision and are looking for a guide to point you in the right direction, "The Parents Guide to Home Schooling" will provide you with the information you require. http://www.free-online-course.com/homeschool </bio>

Nowadays, a lot of parents choose homeschooling as their option for their children's education. Recent statistics shows that families in the US who now prefer homeschooling for their children have already reached 27%. This statistic is projected to increase in a few years now that there are a lot schools that provide this method of teaching.

Many families choose homeschooling because of the many benefits it can offer. Here are some of the reasons why parents choose homeschooling for their children's education:

1. Schools and religious organizations have already accepted this option and are now offering it to parents. One benefit it offers is the flexibility the children get and their parents. Parents can now choose courses together with other activities that are aligned to their children's interests.

They may be able to choose other activities that are according to the skills their children want to develop. They can choose classes from guitar or piano playing, sports, theatrical activities aside to the academic courses. Children at the same time do not get bored since the program engages in different activities and variations.

2. With homeschooling, control over the children's future is seen more than in the traditional way of education. In homeschooling, parents together with the educators are able to direct the children to what they want to be in the future. This of course will be based on the child's main interest. Children will be able to have many choices and will be able to visualize what they want to be in the future as early as their childhood. This is because they will be offered activities and not only be confined in classroom settings.

3. Families who enrolled their children in homebased schools are able to adjust their time and schedules. There would be no time pressure since they will be the ones to choose the time most convenient to them. In homeschooling, the parents are more flexible and are able to monitor their children's progress since they are the ones who set the schedules for the child's classes.

4. Children who attend homeschooling are found to be more responsible and independent. They are not confined with their age groups in classroom settings. They are exposed to many communities, different age groups and orientation.

This teaches them not to become too dependent on their peers and parents. They learn how to mingle and socialize. They also learn how to manage their time and they become responsible in doing their homework even without much guidance from their educators. <bio>Are you considering home schooling your family?
There is nothing worse that seeing a couple going through a divorce and at the same time, playing a war with their children. While a divorce is about to begin, usually, children are the parent's victims as they are used to against the other person, it is meaningless if their children are adults or just kids.

Putting children in the middle of the parents' divorce and asking them or hoping them to be on their side, usually reflect the immaturity of the parents and this is nothing

short of mental abuse to their children. Children involved usually do anything in anyways to rebel and to facing a divorce of their parents. When being put in the middle, the children are more likely to rebel even worse than the parents could expect, because they do to against their parents and sometimes this problem becomes too ate to be fixed after the shock of your problem which are minimized.

Divorce is usually a cause for kids to become involved in drugs and alcohol. Currently, with drug use, among adolescents who are involving they tends to use methamphetamines and strong pain medicine. And the last thing you want your child to get involved is drug abuse.

Parents who encourage their children to choose a side of them, need to give up their own selfish feelings and concern more about their children. In fact, rather than placing their child or children in the middle, how about putting them in a clear focus?

While children usually get on a parent's last nerve when a divorce is in progress, they need more parental care than ever. Having them taken care by their grandparents or neighbors during the divorce is OK in some circumstance, but not through the entire process.

As parents, it is essential to remember that divorcing parents still need to find a way where the family could be reunited with their children. For example, they might have a family meal together, or attend a concert or a sporting event together and remain friendly at all the time in front of their children. If you have a fight with each other or need to discuss something serious, remember that often behind closed doors, there are little ears spying what is going to transpire on the other side.

Maturity among parents is required in these days and this age. If you placing your children in the middle during a divorce, don't be surprised when you find that your teenage daughter running away or your son drunk in the garage. You usually get back what you cause and this isn't something you need to cope with while processing a divorce.

Putting a child in the middle of a divorce can only be worked out positively when you remember to concern about the child's needs. If you can keep your children at the center of your life although trials of your divorce sadden you, you probably find them to be an inspiration when you have several inspiring moments left. Search for ways to encourage them while looking for some peace within your own life while being able to cope with your divorce. <bio>George Williams is a attorney expert who owns http://www.attorneysecrets.info , http://www.attorneynow.info and http://www.getattorney.info..
Nowadays, many parents are enticed to homeschool their children. In fact, recent reports show that more than 1.2 million students in the United States are already obtaining their education through homeschool programs. This goes to show that more and more people are seeing the full benefits of homeschooling their children.

However, for those who are struggling on whether to homeschool their children or not are still on the brink of so many questions. One of the questions is about finding the right time to homeschool their children.

Many parents are wondering if there is a specific age or time to homeschool their children. They want to be sure that by the time they have decided to homeschool their children, they have made the right decision and that it will definitely be for their children's own good.

However, most experts contend that deciding on whether to homeschool your children or not is not actually a matter of the right time to opt for homeschooling but more on the comfort and personal choice of every parent.

Simply put, there are no appropriate times to start homeschooling. The key point here is that as long as you need to homeschool your children and as long as you feel that your family is already prepared for the matter, then you can start homeschooling your children.

What matters most is that when you have decided to homeschool your children, be sure that you have all the necessary requirements ready and that you are determined to pursue the process no matter what happens.

The problem with most people is that they thought that once their children have started their primary education in a public school, they can no longer opt to homeschool.

The good news is that you can still homeschool your children even if they were already introduced to the typical schooling method. Just be sure that you have prepared everything that is needed for the transition.

Therefore, the question on when to homeschool your children now lies on the reasons why you want to homeschool your children first.

For instance, if you think that you can no longer tolerate the environment that the typical schools have, then now is the right time to opt for homeschooling. In fact, 31% of the parents of homeschoolers have this reason.

Therefore, there are no specific periods to opt for homeschooling. Analyze your reasons and basis for homeschooling, and from there you will know that it's about time to choose a better alternative to the typical schooling -- homeschooling. <bio>Are you considering home schooling your family?
Most people have probably never considered what life is like for children and teens who attend a boarding school rather than a traditional school.

Basically, a boarding school is one where the students not only go to school on campus but they also live on campus in a dormitory setting. It is sort of like college for younger students. Can you imagine being six or seven years old and living not with a family but instead with several other kids your own age? Each child either has a room of their own or perhaps shares a room with another child around their same age. Every boarding school has house parents or dorm parents that bring supervision to the children and teens and that provide parent-like comfort and safety.

Many young children cannot even handle going away from home for a week of summer camp. Children who attend a boarding school must learn quickly how to adjust to life without parents because they rarely get to go home and see their families throughout the year. Often children begin attending boarding school at the beginning of their schooling and they remain in boarding school until they complete high school. Some may go home for a Christmas holiday or for a visit in the summer months, but rarely do boarding school students have consistent interaction with their families.

Why would parents send their children to a boarding school? That is a legitimate question that has many answers. Some parents that work overseas or that travel frequently choose to put their children in boarding school because they know how inconsistent they will be in parenting or in providing for the needs of their kids. Other parents choose boarding school for their children as a way for them to experience more of the world and to learn how to interact with diverse people from a young age. Still other parents put their children and teens in boarding school if they are having trouble disciplining their kids or keeping them out of trouble. Boarding school can be a great place for kids to learn responsibility and discipline.

Attending a boarding school produces mixed reactions among children and teens. Many enjoy the opportunity to live with their friends and to enjoy the freedoms of not being with their parents all the time. For students who began attending boarding school at a young age, many enjoy their lives because they do not know any different. Of course there are always students who get homesick or who would prefer to live with their parents and attend a regular school.

Regardless of the pros or cons of attending a boarding school, boarding school really is a world of its own. <bio>Kirstine Pallette, after attending boarding schools for many years, is well respected when it comes to helping people realize the ups and downs of boarding school for children.
More and more parents have to put their children in day care facilities, because both parents in the household have to work to pay the bills. Some of these parents are lucky enough to know someone who can baby sit their kids, or they have a family member that is willing to watch them while they are at work. Some other parents work out their schedules so that they are never at work at the same time, so they can take turns watching their kids. However the majority of households with two working parents will have to put their children in some type of nursery. The right nursery is often hard to find, and it can be a nerve-racking experience to find the facility and the people that make you feel safe to leave your kids. One criterion that parents use is the type and availability of nursery insurance that the day care provides.

Nursery insurance protects many different people who are involved with the nursery. Most insurance plans will protect the kids and the workers while they are at the day care facility. However some plans will also protect the children and the workers on their trip to and from the nursery. Still other plans will also offer protection on activities that are planned by the nursery. These plans basically provide coverage to the children and the workers to and from the nursery, while they are at the nursery, and also on any off-site activities that the nursery provides while the children are being cared for. These types of nursery insurance provide excellent coverage for your children, and the only time they are not covered is when they are at home with you. Most of these insurance plans will cover accidental medical bills, as well as accidental death and dismemberment. These plans can usually be customized for the nursery by changing the deductible, the amount of coverage, and even some of the options of the plan. As a parent you should know what type of nursery insurance your day care facility offers, and make the best decision for yourself and for your child. <bio>Visit http://www.northerncounties.com/nursery-insurance.php for more information on Nursery Insurance, Business Insurance Nursery, Pre School Insurance and more. </bio>

Not too long ago, single parents were almost ostracized from the community. However, today it is very common for both men and women to be raising children either full time or part time.

People can become single parents in many ways. First, a man or woman might become a single parent by choice. They might adopt a child on their own or a woman might become pregnant through donor insemination. Second, some people become single parents after the death of their spouse. Finally, most people become single parents as a result of a divorce.

Single parent dating might work best when both people have children. However, it is often the case where one person will have children when the other doesn't.

So what should you know about dating if you are the single parent? First, realize that it is ok for you to be dating. You will be a better parent if you are happy and fulfilled in your own life outside of your children. Dating with children brings on additional challenges though. You will need to find a babysitter that you trust to watch your children. It is important that you tell your date upfront that you have children, as some people do not want to be in a relationship where there are children involved. It might be disheartening to lose a potential date because of your kids, but it is better to know that up front rather than be broken up with later because you are a parent. Make sure that you are comfortable with the person you are dating...very comfortable...before you let them meet your children. Children can become attached to someone quickly and if your relationship is not serious, your children probably shouldn't be meeting the person.

If you are dating a single parent, remember that your partner's children will always come first. If you try to demand a choice between you and the kids, you are likely to end up alone. Be sensitive to situations with the children that require plans to be changed or cancelled. A single parent has a lot on his or her plate and can't help it if a child gets ill. Be sensitive to the fact that your partner is possibly not used to co-parenting. Don't discipline your date's children without first talking to your date.

Although there are some things that must be kept in mind when you are involved in single parent dating, it doesn't mean anyone should shy away from it. People become single parents for all sorts of reasons and you might find the love of your life, plus fall in love with a child as well. <bio>Ron Zvagelsky has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Hair loss is very stressful for children and their parents. Children can be insensitive when it comes to their peers and especially about such things as baldness. Children suffering from hair loss often are the subject of ridicule from their friends and classmates which can lead the child to feel ostracized or to isolate from others. Parents of children suffering from hair loss whether caused by medication or any other reason need to look for ways in which to help their child cope with the situation. Often times, the parents must start with their own issues surrounding the problem. If the parents cannot deal with the issue, then the child will be less apt to cope with it in a healthy manner.

The healthiest way to help you child cope with hair loss is to encourage them to talk about their feelings. BY discussing their feelings surrounding the entire situation, the easier it will be for them to come to understand and come to terms with the hair loss. It is especially important for them to feel free to discuss their fears and concerns about the hair loss as well as coping techniques.

Sensitivity is the key element for parents with children coping with hair loss. Rather than forcing your child to join their peers it is important to ask him or what they want to do. If they have not had time to adjust to the situation be patient. Remind them that the hair will grow back and discuss possible options. It may be appropriate to purchase a wig or toupee to be worn when outside the home. Some children may be fine with a few hats and this can be a way for him or her to express them self as well.

Returning to school can be especially stressful for a child suffering from hair loss. If your child is overly concerned or afraid about returning to classes after suffering fair loss, it might be advisable to meet with the teachers before hand. Ask them to speak with the rest of the children and explain the situation to the class. Often times this will lessen any teasing your child may receive. Just as children an be cruel, they can also be extremely understanding and supportive once situations are explained and they have a chance to become accustomed to the changes. <bio>For additional information check us out at http://hair-loss.teach2.us </bio>

Children are compared to angels. But the angels all over the world have a problem, their never ending studies!

Well, this is the major cause for stress in most of the children. You may ask what other problems the children have except their school and studies. Perhaps you are not fully familiar with the ways of the children and the world of children. They have their own priorities.

Well, study is the main job and responsibility fixed by the parents and the educational system of the day. But at the same time, they spend substantial time with idiot box, hundreds of TV channels. Who will patronize the pizza huts? Now, if you tell them to give up everything and concentrate on studies alone, will it not cause stress for them? Can't you understand their difficulty?

The number of subjects, the number of languages they are expected to learn, the number of assignments they are expected to do, the never ending homework, the to and fro travel in those crowded buses, whether it is rain or shine, you need to be a child again to understand their problems. And how difficult it is to get the signature of the parents, if their progress report is not up to the mark?

Parental involvement in the day to day studies of the children, especially in matters related to their homework, would create a sympathetic situation for the children. Parents are the buffer zone between the children and the teachers. The teachers can immediately spot the difference between the homework independently done by the child and homework done with the assistance of the parents. Parental involvement will help teachers with the confidence that their efforts are supplemented at home by the parents. The children will also find the situation more reassuring and their mental tension and stress and fear of homework stands reduced to a great extent.

This process of parental involvement again has its limitations. The working parents can offer limited assistance to their children in studies as they themselves are busy and overworked. Similarly, if the parents are uneducated, except giving encouragements, they can do very little to assist the children. Parental involvement in reducing the stress in children due to studies can not be exclusive. To get a good student, a role model out of your kid, you need to take care of several other aspects of their personality. You also need to take care about their personal, intellectual and behavioral needs. The participation needs to be multidimensional. <bio>The author writes about a number of different topics.
Most often than not, parents find their children a handful both emotionally and physically. They love their children and want to give them the best they can -- and always feel that they could have done better if they found/ had better guidance. Parents mostly feel lost when it comes to establish a mutually respectful relationship which can alternate love and respect effortlessly.

Where Do You Look for Parenting Guidelines?

Usually, when you are stuck in your day-to-day parenting chores, you tend to ask your parents -- because in your mind they would know best. Similarly, you should understand that for a child, the parent is the ultimate authority often for life -- though this would not be visible at the first glance.

It would be great if there was a parenting curriculum, which could act as a standard for all parents. Since this is not there, it is left on the intelligence of the parents to work out the best solutions when they have a problem with parenting; the internet is priceless for this purpose. One can search and find parenting forums, chat lines, websites, books and even hotlines for experts which can provide much better guidance than any parenting curriculum would have ever done.

Your Own Parents

The best parenting guidelines would always be your gut feeling and the advice of your mother. Whenever you feel that you are stuck, all you need to do is to get in touch with your mother and ask her how she would have handled it. Unfortunately, most of us lose emotional touch with your parents after we marry and settle down to raise our own family. We often forget that both the 'school' and the 'parenting curriculum' can be found in our own parents!

There are a lot of things that experience hands down over to parents along the years; and often this experience becomes a private parenting curriculum, which is bundled tightly in the mind's attic waiting to be unfolded and used at the appropriate time. Hence, you will never find a better parenting curriculum or guidance than that your own parents collected over the years to hand over to you. This is why the relationship between parents and their children and that of children and their grandparents is so meaningful.

Of course, for those who cannot reach out to their parents, there are millions of websites which can act as surrogate parents in difficult times. Fortunately, the internet can be used at any time of night and day with excellent results. It is very rare that you search something on the internet and you come up empty-handed -- parenting help included. <bio>Ann Merier writes articles about family health, house and garden Topics. http://parentingtips.ultimatehealthinfo.com http://stopsmokingtip.ultimatehealthinfo.com/ http://losingweight.ultimatehealthinfo.com/ </bio>

Do you see or notice your kid pretending to cook? He has a creative mind and is resourceful because he uses his other toys as kitchen utensils at the same time ingredients. If the kid has siblings and is old enough to play with him, they join him too. They imagine themselves in a kitchen cooking up whatever they feel like it. However, would not it be nicer to see them play in toy kitchens? A cook station for each of them is somewhat neat.

Documenting what the kids are doing in their pretend kitchen is so nice to do and then watch it repeatedly until they become adults. Children may not be very aware of what they are doing and why they are doing it hence it is the responsibility of the parents to explain this to them. The funny thing here is when the parents remember this one instance in their lives wherein they pretend to be someone and then the children get to be the same person they pretended to be when they were little.

Despite the fact that people call it toy kitchens, they still help a lot in the development of the kids. Children are able to differentiate one knife from the other when taught properly. They too can understand why certain things need to are finished before cooking the food in the pan. Mastering slicing and chopping ingredients is one of the main things the pretend kitchen aims. Children can help in preparing the needs in the recipe and then hand them over to their mom when required. More so, when they get older, they too will be the ones to cook and prepare the meals of the family.

It is nice to see that the children continue what they are doing when they were little and eventually help in some of the chores. When the kids take over the kitchen, the parents can just sit down and relax while waiting for the served food. It is now the time that the children do whatever they can to lessen the work their parents are doing for them. If the kids like what they are doing, they can eventually start their own business to help support their family.

Funny how pretending turns to reality. From simple toy kitchens becoming real kitchens, this is something parents love to see. Their perseverance and determination paid off because their parents were there to help them out in the things that they are doing. It does not matter whether the task is hard or easy, the important thing here is that children enjoy what they are doing. When they see that they are good at it, they might be able to start a career thus making them exceptionally gifted. Not every kid is able to enjoy his childhood because there are times that he must work to help his or her parents. However, they still should have some playtime because that is what children do aside from studying of course.<bio>For more tips and information about toy kitchens, check out http://www.thekidstoystore.com/toykitchen.html.</bio>

Step Parenting was once mostly tied to the loss of a parent, though in modern times it is becoming a situation where children's parents split up as well. In reality it can be good or bad. If it's possible for children to have 2 sets of parents, and keep a good peaceful and positive environment, that can be great and give them twice the opportunities. Often this isn't the case and it isn't perfect, though it's wise to do the best to make it work for the children.

When it comes to parenting in any situation, it's the children that are the most important factor. Bringing them up safely, learning good values, with the eventual goal that they will stand well on their own, where they still have a close family that remains. The most important role in society is taking care of the future; the children that will some day take over.

Seldom does anyone simply choose step parenting in life. It's often something you come across. Whether you come into the relationship with your own children, or they do; or maybe both of you... The most important thing is all children involved have to be considered at this point. If that won't work, it's best to avoid being step parents as the only ones to lose are the future.

If you choose to move along, you need to consider the effects of merging families. This is what you are doing, and with that you need to bring the situation to a level that works fairly with all children involved. Much consideration and discussion needs to happen for the step parent(s) to be able to know they are stepping into a situation that is already set. You can't just change the children's world. Rather, they need to continue forward; positively! When bringing two families together the discussion needs to be deeper yet so that the benefits are equal across the board.

Step parents need to fit into all the children's lives in a fair and even manner that works with all of them. Any other situation without balance will likely bring failures that can be devastating to some if not all the children. This is unacceptable.

Now with that said, step parents can help fill a gap that has traditionally been enjoyed by many children; the benefit of two parents. This is especially so when the step parent is willing to take the time to care, do their best to help raise the children; in fact more or less care for them as much as the missing parent would (or should) do.

Another aspect of step parenting that all involved should have an understanding is why the missing parent(s) aren't there. This might be the subject of future strife, as well as a lot of questions from the children. There needs to be a strong and unified understanding on this ground to be able to keep altogether if the children really want more answers, or if the absent parties show up with demands.

That's another area that can be unique to step parenting; the point where you might have to step aside disregarding your own feelings, simply because the children need better contact with the previously missing parent. You might have to find a balance in a very imbalanced situation. But you must for the children's sake.

The best way to be sure where your parenting and step parenting go, is after it has happened over time. But you need to be sure it's got a strong chance of succeeding before it even begins. What's risked otherwise can hurt generations to come... <bio>Find out more about step parenting at http://best-parenting.com/step_parenting.php plus lots of other useful information about parenting your children. </bio>
