One of the many misunderstood aspects of a wireless calling plan is understanding how calling plans affect your long distance and roaming charges. Not being aware when you are making a roaming or long distance call, and are will incur heavy overage charges can result in a shockingly high bill at the end of each month. To get an idea of how they work let's take a brief look at the different types of plans that are offered.

Local Calling Plans Local calling plans cover the smallest geographic region. This is usually a metropolitan area like New York City of Los Angeles. If you have a local calling plan and you are inside the region and make calls to anyone outside of the region you will incur long distance charges. If you are outside of the calling area and call someone inside of the calling area roaming charges will apply. If you are outside of the calling area and call someone across the country roaming and long distance charges will apply.

Regional Calling Plans Regional calling plans cover a larger area than local calling plans. It usually covers a few neighboring states. If you are inside of the region and place calls to anyone inside of the region standard calling rates will apply. If you call someone outside of the region long distance rates will apply. If you are outside of your region and place a call into your region roaming charges will apply. If you are outside of your region and place a call to someone in a different region than you are in roaming charges and long distance rates will apply.

Nationwide Calling Plans In a nationwide calling plan the entire country is considered inside of your region and there will be no long distance charges for any calls that you make. If your carrier has spotty coverage and you travel to an area that isn't covered by your network but is covered by another carrier you will incur roaming charges if you make any calls.

Local calling plans have the lowest call per minute rate, but have the highest long distance and roaming charge rates. Nationwide calling plans have the highest per minute rate with regional calling plans in the middle. Many larger networks are dropping local calling areas in favor of regional and nationwide calling plans. When choosing a calling plan it's important to consider how much traveling you will be doing and how much time you will spend outside of what is considered your regional calling area. If you are only making one or two trips per year, you may be able to save money on your monthly bill with a regional calling plan as opposed to a nationwide calling plan.

© Copyright Cellular-Advisor.com, All Rights Reserved. <bio>Josephine Mills writes for http://www.cellular-advisor.com about wireless communication subjects like cell phones and http://www.cellular-advisor.com/cell-phones/calling-plans/ </bio>

Purchasing a new car is always an exciting time in life; however, it can also be confusing and time confusing, especially with so many different types of financing options available. Should you purchase your next vehicle outright or would it be better to lease it? Which option will be better financially for you? Read on for more tips to help you make the right decision for you and your finances the next time you're in the market for a new car.

It's important to understand that there is not a clear cut answer to this question. It really depends on your needs and situation. When considering whether it would be better to buy or lease, it is important to understand all of the terms regarding the lease. Generally, the lease will be for a specified period of time and you will probably be limited to the amount of mileage that can be placed on the vehicle. In the event that you go over that specified mileage at the end of your lease period, you will be liable for paying the overage. Lease agreements also pay what is known as a finance charge at the end of the lease agreement. So, it is important to understand that while your lease payments may be less than payments would be if you bought the vehicle outright, you will still be responsible for a sum of money at the end.

In addition, it should be pointed out that you do not build up any equity in a vehicle when you lease it, only when your purchase it. On the other hand, when you purchase a vehicle and drive it for a long period of time, while you do build up equity, that amount declines the longer you own the vehicle. With leasing, you have the advantage of only having to pay for what you use while with the buying option you must pay for everything, regardless of whether you use it or not.

Leasing gives you the advantage of obtaining lower payments and the option of having a new vehicle every two or three years. This can be important to many people because it provides you with the benefit of having the latest safety features on your vehicle and the comfort of knowing you won't have any warranty problems. If you don't care about whether you build-up equity in the vehicle and feel you won't go over the mileage limits then leasing may be the right option for you.

On the other hand, buying the vehicle outright; will mean higher monthly payments but the overall cost is about the same as leasing a vehicle, especially when all factors are taken into consideration, such as mileage overage payments and finance charges. Purchasing also gives you the benefit of actually owning the vehicle and if you opt to pay off the loan and keep the car, it can mean you won't have a vehicle payment. You must also take into consideration; however, that when the warranty expires you will be responsible for the cost of repairs. This can be offset when you take into consideration that you don't have to worry about going over mileage limits as with leasing. Additionally, there are no surprise costs at the end as there are with lease options. In the end you really need to give thought to your own situation, needs and desires. <bio>Joe Kenny writes for the UK personal finance sites http://www.ukpersonalloanstore.co.uk and also http://www.cardguide.co.uk </bio>

You know the claim on food value from the label that is stuck on it; let's pick a nutritious drink product and on that drink is some nutritional claim that states it has a shelf value of two years. After those two years that product still needs to contain 100% of the vitamin C level.

Vitamin deterioration That does not mean that when the drink product was manufactured it contained 100% of vitamin C and after the two year has gone, it only contain half that level of vitamin C. What it means is that the manufacturer had to put an overage of that vitamin in the product because the vitamins will deteriorate over a period of time. Usually the higher the temperature the higher rate of deterioration, and the longer it is stored means something too.

Vitamin C is the most sensitive vitamin. The government does routinely inspect the food manufacturing companies with products that have this problem. What the food companies and food scientist does when the product is formulated they will add an overage of vitamins and minerals. It protects the product during the shelf life.

200% of vitamins in the product So if they want the product to contain 100% of vitamin C after 2 years, then they have to put 200% of vitamins in the product, because of the deterioration that takes place. 2 years later it will have lost half of its value, and contain the claimed amount.

Food companies have documentation on all food products that they have manufactured. They know the exact deterioration rate on all their products, and therefore they can predict the deterioration rate of new and similar products. That means that a new nutritional beverage formula can be based on the level of a know products nutrition values.

Vitamin questions That makes me ask my self. Can I trust that the food I buy from the store has the nutrition value that it claims? Can I feel sure that my body gets all the vitamins it must have to function? I say better be safe than sorry!

Thank you for your time. <bio>Much more information about http://www.vitamin-tablet-e.com on this website. This article covers the top five reasons to dump your contract and go prepaid now.

Reason One: Control

With prepaid you only pay for minutes you actually use. Surveys indicate 70-80% of all postpaid minutes go unused.

Reason Two: No Overages

With prepaid cell phone service you will never have overage charges. Since you load your airtime up front it is absolutely impossible to go over your budget.

This is a huge advantage when you have teenagers in the house.

And even without kids, this forces you to be fully responsible for your time. Instead of guessing which plan works best, with prepaid cell phones you'll quickly get a handle on your actual monthly usage.

Reason Three: No Roaming Charges

Prepaid wireless providers have deals with most major tower networks so roaming is never an issue. In most cases if there's a tower nearby your handset will have a signal and you won't have to pay extra for tapping into the competition's network.

This alone can result in huge savings every month. Wireless users who travel can save a fortune by going prepaid because they won't be restricted to the local tower network and nailed with roaming charges for going out of bounds.

Reason Four: No Surprise Charges

Prepaid also lets you avoid hidden fees and excess charges. The average contract service's monthly bill is 20% higher than what the customer was told when they bought!

This never happens with prepaid cell phone service because you pay in advance. Even if the company wanted to load your bill with extra fees and hidden charges it couldn't because you don't receive a monthly invoice.

Reason Five: No Contracts

And you can drop your provider any time you want because you're not locked into some silly contract. You decide when and if to pay, and you decide how much to spend.

Plus today's prepaid cell phone services give you the same great reception, the same selection of top-quality handsets, and the same bells and whistles you get with postpaid contract services. The only major difference is the fact that you save big money and retain complete control over your wireless lifestyle when you go with prepaid providers.

Is there really any good reason to strap yourself into some totally one-sided contract? Instead of looking for reasons to go prepaid you might want to stop and think:

What are the valid reasons for not going prepaid? Why on earth would anyone want to spend more money and be pushed around by companies that force you into abusive contracts when they could simply purchase airtime at fair rates without all the hassle?

Do you realize that postpaid wireless providers can even renew your contract without your signature? In fact this can be done without your consent altogether! Why do business with a vendor that can stab you in the back any time you fail to read the fine print?

It's no wonder over 60% of the world's cell phone users go with prepaid services.<bio>Dump your contract today -- or avoid being pinned down in the first place -- and learn more about prepaid cell phone service. With a top quality service like Net 10 Wireless you can get a free phone with airtime always as low as just 10 cents per minute!</bio>

At the time this article was written over 60% of global wireless users prepay their bills. The majority of people on our planet leverage pay as you go plans instead of the monthly rate plans offered by the major service providers.

And in recent years all major wireless providers have rushed to not only implement pay as you go plans, but also to place this option at the fore of their marketing campaigns. It is entirely possible that monthly postpaid plans will become a novelty item within the next half-decade.

The thing is, consumers are tired of being taken to the cleaners month after month by wireless providers. Taxes, fees, and hidden charges make the average wireless bill 20% higher than what customers were told by sales reps, and overage charges are borderline extortionist.

It's odd, to say the least, how the wireless talk industry went from a high priced luxury to an out-in-the-open game of "rip off the consumer" in just a few short years. The technology is not new, and handsets are being given away by every company with airtime to sell.

In fact the global tower network is so strong and well-maintained that experts estimate only a tiny portion of access fees go toward new equipment and labor expenses. Wireless phone services are rolling in huge profits and still nailing their customers to the wall with outrageous monthly rates, overage penalties, and countless nickel-and-dime charges on every bill.

The mass migration to prepaid service could well be the average consumers' way of taking control of their mobile communication by not giving the wireless companies a penny more than needed for their monthly usage. Once thought of as the poor mans' cell phone alternative, pay as you go options are now being embraced even by consumers who have the good credit to acquire their choice of postpaid plan.

Most of us are happy to pay for a quality product or service. But there's just no excuse to find new ways to shake a few extra bucks out of your customer base every time they turn around.

In many cases customers are being locked into new contracts each time they buy car chargers, carrying cases, and other minor accessories, and often the sales reps don't even have to tell them this is the case! Fine print on the initial service agreement indicates a contract extension with all new purchases, and thus the average user finds themselves legally obligated to pay their bill for a few years longer than expected because they bought a few service enhancements.

Consumer feedback Websites are overflowing with complaints and negative user comments about wireless contracts, hidden fees, and very poor customer service from the major providers of monthly postpaid plans. On the other hand, very good reviews are often given to smaller companies that specialize only in prepaid service.

Organizations like TracFone, Virgin Mobile, and Net 10 are enjoying tremendous growth, and not just as the result of younger consumers with no established credit. These services may very well be the wave of the wireless future because they are not "tainted" with the negative stigma of monthly contracts and bills loaded with hidden monthly fees and charges.

Most companies specializing in prepaid service provide free handsets for their users and simplified, affordable airtime fees. On the other hand, traditional wireless services require their prepaid users to pay full price for handsets and typically charge three times the per-minute rate of the specialty services.

In other words, prepaid users will get a much better deal with a service like Net 10 or Virgin Mobile than they would with a pay as you go plan offered by Verizon or Alltel. These "pure" prepaid vendors have deals with the major networks that allow them to provide airtime and reception quality that compares with any postpaid service.

It will be interesting to check the stats five years from now. It's not unreasonable to expect prepaid wireless to be the new standard at that time, with postpaid contracts being relegated to a high priced "status symbol" of the eccentric consumer.<bio>To take advantage of prepaid wireless that puts the control back into your hands visit Net 10 Wireless now. All Net 10 Phones include 300 minutes of airtime, and you can choose from top brands and models that provide the full range of options from talk and text, to pics and Web access.</bio>

Family cell phone plans can be as diverse as the different members in a family. There are so many benefits to choosing a family cell phone plan including -and maybe most importantly- diminished overall cost. To be considered a family plan at least two phone lines are required, with the option of adding more phones, starting at $9.99/per phone added. One popular cell phone provider for example, will allow up to 5 phones per plan with each additional line added costing $9.99.

The price for a family cell phone plan can be as varied as the plethora of companies offering them. It's important to look at all the details of the plan and each company closely before signing a contract. It is possible to find one that best suits you and your needs, so don't settle for the first one you find. Look for the details of each cell phone and provider that are tailor made for you. If there will only be two of you using the plan, it makes more sense to get a plan with minimal minutes. This is especially true if most of the calls will be made between the two phones, and you are confident no extra minutes will be accrued outside the allotment for your plan. Find a company that won't try to sell extraneous features to you. Phone plans can be as basic or as elaborate as you need them to be. There is no reason to spend extra money on features that will never be used.

Most cell phone providers offer free mobile-to-mobile minutes, (or calls made within the network) so even if you choose a plan with minimal minutes, it won't necessarily be cost prohibitive if most calls are made in network. For example, if a family has a plan with 5 phones and most of the minutes of the plan are used making calls between family members, find a plan that has free mobile-to-mobile minutes. This way every phone call made within the family network is essentially free, as no minutes will be deducted from the overall minutes of the plan.

The service provider ads overage fees onto your monthly bill if you or anyone in your family adds up enough talk time minutes to go over the maximum allotment of minutes for your plan. If a cell phone customer has a plan allowing 700 minutes/per month, and the customer uses 750 minutes, the additional 50 minutes are considered overage minutes. The charge for overage minutes varies from one cell phone provider to another. For example, the five providers below vary between $.40/minute to $.45/minute per additional minutes.

It's important to get the right number of minutes for your family's needs, as overage fees for a customer talking on the phone for an additional 50 minutes can cost up to an extra $22.50 per monthly bill. If you consider that a few teenagers could each very easily tack on several hours of overage minutes, it's easy to see why it's critical to find a plan with the right amount of minutes for your family. It's a good idea to go into a cell phone contract knowing how many minutes you think you might use before you get locked in for the long term. If you aren't sure how many minutes you think you'll need, ask a representative from the cell phone company you are considering to help you. Someone who has helped a multitude of people find cell phone plans will likely be helpful in giving you a decent estimate on how many minutes you will need.

Every cell phone provider features several plans, some without extra features like text messaging and data packages and others where the monthly cell phone fee is all-inclusive. Data and text messaging fees very greatly, even within individual providers. With one popular cell phone provider data plans, or Internet access through your cell phone, starts at about $39.99/per month for a basic package and can go up to $89.99/per month. Text messaging with another provider ranges from $4.99/per month for 400 messages to $14.99/per month for unlimited messaging. If you don't want to sign up for a text-messaging plan but think you might want to text occasionally, it's possible to pay per text message. Texts can range from $.15/per message to $.25/per text for text only messages to $.25/per message for pictures and video messages.

If there is a possibility of a lot of text messaging in your future, or the future of anyone in your family plan, a package with unlimited messaging for a flat fee is probably your best option. Text messaging at up to $.25/per message can add up really fast and add a lot to your monthly cell phone bill.

Another very important aspect to buying a cell phone plan is determining the coverage area available with each cell phone provider. Some cell phone companies are more prevalent in specific regions of the country, and will provide better coverage for you if you stay within its outlined geographic region. If your primary cell phone will be used mostly for business and travel outside your home state, ensure the coverage area for your provider before the cell phone is used outside the area and roaming charges are applied. This is true for any of the cell phones under the same family plan.

Be sure to carefully study the available coverage maps before choosing a specific cell phone plan. It is your job as the consumer to be as well informed about your plan as possible; read the fine print concerning the coverage area and if any roaming charges will apply outside of said area. Most cell phone companies have a national network, with wide coverage, ensuring that your cell phone will work when you need it. However, what constitutes "national" coverage to you may not actually be national in the eyes of your cell phone provider. Some cell phone companies consider their regional calling areas to be "national" calling areas. If this is the case, it's possible that phone calls you make, which you believe to be a part of your coverage area, are actually outside the region of the coverage plan for your cell phone provider. If this is the case, the phone calls made outside the coverage area are eligible for roaming charges, which can add considerable cost to your cell phone bill.

Roaming is a term used in the communications industry to describe what happens when cell phone coverage areas overlap. If a call is placed from your cell phone outside your providers' coverage area it's probable you will still be able to place the call, but it will likely be made through the network of a different provider. Cell phone companies contract with one another to ensure there are limited holes or dead spots in network availability. However, even though dropped calls, and a loss of a cell phone signal are a somewhat distant memory, roaming charges are not necessarily so. Although most cell phone providers offer "free", or no roaming charges, as a part of national cell phone contracts, it's still critical to determine the exact details of the coverage area before committing to an extended contract. This way there will be no surprises when the monthly cell phone bill arrives, and you have accrued charges by placing calls outside your network.

The vast array of options when choosing a cell phone can be a little overwhelming. The most important place to start is by determining your individual cell phone needs. The cell phone model you choose can be as simple as a phone with no additional features, or as intricate and high-powered as you are. For example, if one of the cell phones in your family plan will be used primarily for business and travel, take into account the variety of options available to you such as: broadband Internet access, Bluetooth, text messaging, picture messaging, Email, GPS, speakerphone, and data packages. This array of features is optimized through a phone such as The BlackBerry phone, which is essentially a laptop that fits in your pocket. If the feature potentially used by you the most is email, choose a phone with a built-in keyboard to facilitate easier typing. The BlackBerry has the capability to use any of its numerous features anywhere you go. The phone can be purchased from an individual cell phone provider, or through a third party such as an online retailer of electronics, or almost all local electronics stores. Then the phone will be activated through the cell phone provider you have chosen. If there will be teenagers or other children on your family phone plan, determine carefully which phones might work best for each individuals' needs. A teenager doesn't necessarily need a Blackberry, but you might want them to have some extra features available in order for you to stay in better contact with them.

A feature, which has become almost universal on cell phones, is a built-in digital camera. This is an extremely convenient feature as it ensures that anywhere you go with your cell phone, you have a digital camera at your access. The quality of the camera will vary depending on the model of the phone, as well as details such as number of megapixels and quality of resolution. If this is a feature that is important to you, do your homework and find a phone whose camera has a reputation for producing quality photos. Some newer phones also have the capability of recording digital movies as an extended option of the digital camera.

One important aspect to keep in mind when choosing a cell phone is that it's almost always possible to get a phone for a discount under a rebate or promotional offer. It is rarely necessary to pay full retail price for a cell phone that meets your needs. Ask the cell phone provider you choose what cell phones they have available with a discount or rebate. If they don't have a phone that meets your needs, choose an online retailer. They sell new and refurbished phones without contracts, and these phones can be activated under the chosen cell phone provider. As always, if the phone doesn't meet your needs, upgrading to a newer cell phone is always an option.

The final, and perhaps one of the most critical details to choosing a family cell phone plan is the contract. Contracts vary greatly depending upon several variables including: number of lines per family plan, number of minutes, extra features like data plans, etc. Choose a contract length you are comfortable with as terminating your contract can cost anywhere upward of $175. Some contracts are 1-year in length, others are 2-years. Often choosing a longer-term contract will decrease the monthly payment. However having a higher monthly bill with a shorter contract length might be a more attractive choice for your individual family plan. For example, if a family move is a possibility in the future, a shorter-term contract might be the best option, if you move out of the coverage area of your current cell phone provider.

The real key to choosing a phone, cell phone provider, plan, or contract length, is an upfront approach with all of your questions before you sign a contract. Get all of your concerns taken care of in detail, from all potential providers, before your decide and read the small print in every contract. This will ensure a happy relationship between you and your provider, and you and your family will be thankful for it.

*not responsible for prices quoted as they constantly change over time. <bio>For more information about some sample family cell phone plans visit http://www.southernlinc.com. </bio>

Having a popular website is a great thing, especially if that website is related to your business. However, you've probably never thought popularity could cost you money.

If you use a shared web service, you're allotted a certain amount of bandwidth every month. Each host has a different way of dealing with the situation if you go over that amount of traffic.

Some will suddenly shut your site down, which means your visitors will see only a page telling them you've exceeded your allotment. Others will allow your page to keep running, and will charge you for the extra bandwidth.

If your site gets popular quickly, you could find yourself facing hundreds or thousands of dollars of extra charges for that usage.

This is why it's vital to keep an eye on your bandwidth usage and the traffic that goes through your site every day. If it begins to look like you'll exceed your bandwidth allotment, it might be time to look into getting a dedicated server.

It might be tempting to use one of the shared hosting servers that claims to offer "unlimited" bandwidth. However, in the end, you'll probably find that there are limits written into the fine print.

Shared hosts also have a lot more down time than a dedicated server. By upgrading, you'll be increasing the amount of time your site is available to its visitors, and eventually attract even more.

Upgrading to a server of your own will improve reliability and performance, as well as giving you total control over your website.

You'll never have to deal with unexplained downtime, bandwidth limits, or restrictions on what scripts you can run. You can also run more sites on one server - as much as a few hundred. However, be sure that you plan for the extra cost.

In the end, having a dedicated server will bring in enough traffic to pay for itself, but you could be surprised by the initial cost.

There's a setup fee, and a dedicated server can cost as much as $200/month. However, if you stop and think about it, you'll realize that that amount per month in exchange for reliability is a good deal, versus poor reliability and occasionally being charged several hundred dollars for bandwidth overage.

Put an end to the nightmare of shared hosting look into your options for a dedicated server. You won't have to deal with problems from scripts other users are running, downtime, or extra charges just because you've become popular.

If you're happy with your existing provider, ask about their options for dedicated servers. If you've had to deal with bad customer service and other problems, however, you might be better off shopping around.

If your site is growing in popularity, keep an eye on the bandwidth your visitors are using. If you don't pay very close attention, your site's popularity could end up costing you a lot of money.

Instead of having to worry every month whether or not you'll exceed your allotment, try switching to a dedicated server that will put an end to unexpected fees and extra downtime.

In the end, a dedicated server may cost a bit more, but it's well worth it. Control, reliability, and all the bandwidth you need to serve your site's visitors make a dedicated server cheap for the price. <bio>http://Alojate.com is the premier web hosting company in Mexico, offering a range or services for all business needs. http://www.alojate.com </bio>

Many people in today's society see cell phones as a necessity instead of a luxury. Because of the ever advancing technology, cell phones are useful in a number of different areas. Whether a cell phone is used for recreation, family responsibilities or for work, many people use them on a daily basis. When purchasing a cell phone and looking for a plan for the first time or if you want to change plans, it can be very confusing. Cell phone plans are confusing on purpose. There are hidden costs that you may not take into consideration when first getting the plan. Many of the cell phone plans come with a free cell phone which is meant to entice you into a specific plan. However, before signing on the dotted line, make sure to read the fine print because the free cell phone might cost more than you expected.

A lot of cell phone plans concentrate on the benefits of the plan and tout low prices and a lot of minutes. These plans may sound great but always make sure to read the fine print and get the whole story. Some cell plans have a base price that seems good but there may be additional service fees included that will increase the amount of the plan. Also, make sure to check on fees for if you go over your plan allotment. Some plans have very high fees in addition to the base plan price if you go over your allotted services. This may include downloads or text messages in addition to exceeding the number of minutes allowed on the phone per month. It is sometimes surprising how quickly someone can go over their standard rate. When the overage begins and is charged at a higher rate, it can really add up quickly turning a relatively inexpensive bill into a very expensive one.

When looking for a cell phone plan, compare the published plans side by side. You can get assistance on what to look for in a cell phone plan by searching the Internet at sites such as Cell-Phones-N-Plans found on the Internet at http://www.cell-phones-n-plans.com/. If you so not want to worry about the hassle of signing a contract and being locked in to particular plans for at least a year, try a pre paid plan. A pre paid plan can be convenient and will not require credit checks, deposit, service fees or overage charges. You simply pay for the amount of service you need and recharge it when you run out.

You should also look at the cellular phones that are available. With a bit of research you may be able to calculate the cost of buying a separate phone compared to the plans and save a lot of money. Do not necessarily buy into the free cell phone offer. Most times the phone that is offered is simply a basic phone. While some people may only want to use their phone for talking, most people nowadays want the additional features as well. Instead of buying into the free cell phone offer, check for independent dealers of cell phones to find the type of phone you want at the lowest price. Then start researching the plans that are available and get the lowest plan that will suit your needs.

One of the ways you can pay for your new cell phone or pay for your cell bill every month is to join a cell phone affiliate program. You can sign up for an affiliate program to promote merchandise from a related site and earn money from each sale. Cell-Phones-N-Plans have an affiliate program that pays a ten dollar commission for sales of their informative booklet on saving money when looking for cell phones and plans. It is easy to set up by simply taking a few minutes to sign up for the program. Once you are signed up you will get a unique link that you can use in emails or on your website. If people click the link and purchase the booklet, you will earn ten dollars for each sale.

Not only will you have an informative and money saving valuable bit of information on your website but you also have the potential to earn a lot of money. The amount you can earn is unlimited and only dependent on the traffic you get and how you market it. You can use the money earned to pay your cell phone bill or upgrade your cell phone with the latest technology. <bio>You can find the best cell phones and rate at our site http://www.cell-phones-n-plans.com.
One of the latest crazes from cell phone service providers is the pre-paid wireless plan. This type of plan offers many benefits that are normally unavailable from a standard cell phone plan. Pre-paid wireless plans represent a flexibility that many people crave. On the flip side of the coin, pre-paid wireless plans often do not have the same perks a long-term contract will yield with a service provider.

Of course there is a good side to pre-paid cell phone service. In many cases cards are offered by cell phone service providers that are then used to buy airtime. The great advantage to these cards is that a customer can always purchase additional cards at the same price when more minutes are needed. You never have to worry about overage charges if you run out of minutes, or whether or not you're killing your peak minutes or not.

It is, however, important to regularly purchase new minutes when using a pre-paid wireless plan. Often the service providers require customers to repurchase your minutes at regular intervals. For example, a customer may be required to purchase new minutes every month, every two months, or every year. The exact schedule will depend on the plan and provider.

Another great advantage to pre-paid wireless plans is that many of the phones used with these plans will keep track of the plans elapsed minutes. Sometimes they have a display of the exact number of airtime minutes left on the current card. It may even display exactly the next new minute purchase should be made and how much these minutes will cost.

This type of wireless plan is great for people on the go. If being tied down by long-term contracts is unappealing, a pre-paid wireless plan is often the best choice. Additionally, the fact that credit checks aren't necessary for these plans is a plus for customers who have had credit problems. <bio>John Miller writes for several online magazines, including http://cheap-product.com and http://products-tips.com </bio>

The basic principle behind bank charges is simple.

It is the way for banks to charge you for all of the extra services that you may or may not be aware that you are receiving. These can unfortunately be quick unfair for some consumers as bank charges can be very difficult or impossible to reverse except under the most extreme of circumstances. This means that an innocent error can compound into charge after charge until the user is losing significant sums of money.

To better understand bank charges, we should look at the many circumstances under which they may be levied against a user. One well known instance is the instance of an overdraft. An authorized overdraft is sometimes exempt from bank charges. In this instance the user just has to set up a temporary borrowing plan with their bank which will let them be slightly in the red for short periods of time without getting nailed with large charges.

The unauthorized overdraft is the one that almost always harms the user's bankbook. If you slip one number and end up 10 dollars in the red through writing a check, you can soon face large overdraft fees established by your bank alongside high interest charges that they will access.

The worst thing that a bank user can do is assume that many of their banks "services" are free. It is not unlikely for some banks to levy bank charges for relatively small errors. These include problems as simple as just using your ATM card more than your contract allows in a year or using more check books than you were allocated for the full year. One very serious problem is if you are forced to use an ATM from another bank.

In this case you will probably be charged fees by both banks. These can build into substantial sums quite quickly. These are really just normal services that many people would assume were just part of any package. Unfortunately, this isn't much of a defense when talking to a representative. Ignorance isn't always bliss.

The best way that you can possibly defend against unexpected bank charges is to fully look through all of the papers and contracts describing every service for your account. Reading the fine print can really pay off in money saved through careful banking.

If you want to have a bank account then you need to understand the many charges that banks can levy. Just remember that there is no free lunch anywhere. Your bank is not your enemy, but it isn't going to be your best friend either. They have little incentive to not charge a fee when they do you any favors that they don't have to do.

Read everything that they give you and read everything that you sign. Be aware of the charges that your bank can levy and manage your finances accordingly. <bio>Reclaim Bank Charges at http://www.thriftyscot.co.uk/Banking-Savings/bank-charges.html For Saving Accounts, visit http://www.thriftyscot.co.uk/Banking-Savings/regular-savings-accounts.html Get the Best Saving Accounts at http://www.thriftyscot.com/savings-account/ </bio>

The dreaded long distance calls fee regularly haunts individuals of all ages. From chatty Cathys to gabby Garys, everyone seems to have a problem when sky high long distance bills.

If you are tired of paying an astronomical phone bill, look into alternatives that will allow you to bring down your monthly balance without having to end conversations with friends and family members across the country. Before you hang up the phone for good, know there are a variety of options available that will enable you to keep talking without draining your pocket book.

Most individuals have ditched the traditional land line phones in favor of cellular phones. These portable communication devices enable you to take your conversation with you wherever you go. Cellular phone plans have free long distance service, allowing you to call everyone you know from Alaska to Florida without incurring any additional fees.

However, it should be known that most cell phone plans are based on minutes used during peak times and any overage costs may be quite steep. Cell phone companies are constantly having different promotions regarding their coverage areas, talk times, and overage fees. Some companies now features roll over plans that allow your unused minutes to be added to your next month's pot. Other companies allow individuals to speak unlimited time in certain areas or call others with the same plan without penalty.

If you wish to keep your traditional home telephone, or land line, consider looking at all your long distance options. There are many plans that, for a flat fee each month, allows you unlimited long distance minutes. These plans are usually more expensive than traditional long distance plans, but can save you a great deal of money if you regularly use excessive long distance minutes.

There are also long distance plans that offered tiered pricing for their minutes. For example, long distance fees will be eight cents a minute until you hit a certain number of minutes, where the cost dips to five cents. Another time tier will lower the price to three cents a minute, assuming you use that many minutes a month.

Another option is to consider completely canceling your long distance program and purchasing a calling card. This will cut down on the amount of long distance calls you make a month, since you will no longer be able to pick up the telephone and directly dial. Furthermore, calling card rates are usually cheaper than traditional long distance plans, and since the cards are pre paid, you know the exact amount you are spending on your long distance. When the monthly phone bill rolls around, there will be no surprises!

Finally, use completely different methods curb your long distance costs. Consider using e-mail or an instant messaging program to communicate with your friends and loved ones. There are several programs that allow you to speak over the internet using a microphone attached to your computer. Bring back the old fashioned notion of letter writing, since the 37 cent stamp is a great deal cheaper than a long distance bill than can run up hundreds of dollars.
Let's imagine for a moment that you've just received your credit card bill in the mail, and you think the only purchase you made with it the previous month was at the gas station. What do you do then, when you find three purchases at Old Navy, and a bunch of other purchases you know you didn't make?

Do you know what rights you have regarding fraudulent purchases on a credit card in your name? How about your rights if you purchased an item with a credit card, but never received the products you ordered?

If these problems have not happened to you yet, you are lucky. These are common situations credit card users face every day, and it can help you to know before something like this happens to you what your rights are, and what your responsibilities are in the matter.

When You Are Not Satisfied With Purchase

One of the benefits of using a credit card to make purchases is the additional protection they provide if you make a purchase that you are unsatisfied with. For example, maybe you used a credit card to pay the contractors who were hired to repair your shower leak, but there is still water on the bathroom floor. Obviously, you are not satisfied with the work they completed, and you don't want to pay for it. The problem is, you charged it on a credit card and now the bill has come!

Your first step is to contact the contractor, or the merchant you made your purchase from. Most of the time, the merchant is more than happy to replace a broken item, perform the service again or refund the purchase back to your credit card. If you make a phone call, document it and follow up with a letter to cover your tracks in the event the merchant doesn't follow through.

If for some reason the merchant decides they are not going to do anything to correct the situation, you should immediately contact your credit card company and report the information. Don't wait to report the problem on a later date- most credit card companies require you to report a problem as soon as you see it on the statement in order to benefit from any of the protection they provide.

Charges You Didn't Make

Did you know that federal law is involved in helping limit credit cardholder's responsibilities for charges on credit cards that they did not make themselves? The Fair Credit Billing Act actually limits your responsibility to just $50 for any charges you did not authorize. If you open your credit card bill and find charges not made by you, there is a process you should follow to get it resolved as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Firstly, call the credit card company and explain the charges that were not made by you. They will give you instructions as to what to do next.

Then, you should take the time to find and review all of your recent credit card statements in case there were other charges that you may have missed.

The credit card company will most likely ask you to sign a form to confirm that you were not the one who made the charges in dispute. Don't use the card while you are disputing charges.

Once you finally get a resolution and get the charges removed, be sure to order your credit report from all of the major credit bureaus in order to make sure that the record has been updated there- because chances are the time it takes to resolve fraudulent charges will have caused late payments on that credit card that may have been reported.

You can get more information about credit card disputes from the Fair Trade Commission. <bio>This article has been provided courtesty of Creditor Web, http://www.creditorweb.com </bio>

Many hair devices are coming out today. It has also continued to improve. Before, many are hesitant to try the different hair products because they damaged the hair. These new development allow people to use the products and enjoy its benefits. One of the promising hair devices is the tourmaline hair dryers. You may have heard about this because of its claim to have good effect on your hair even after blow-drying it. To understand what it is and can do for your hair, read on.

What is tourmaline?

These are gems with variety of colors. Its compounds are composed of different elements. These are iron, sodium, lithium, and potassium. Each of these gems is unique from each other. None of them is identical. Some of the tourmalines have two or more colors and most of them change when exposed to light.

What is so special about it?

These gems generate negative charges. Specifically, they produce ions and infrared. When incorporated with your hair dryer it helps seals in moisture. This happens because the released negative charges of the blower cancels out the positive charges of the hair. The hair strands release positive charges when combed. The strands of hair repel from each other because they have similar charges causing it to fly away. Hair has cuticles as well; the positive charges cause them to open. This gives the hair a dull and unhealthy look. After canceling the positive charges, the cuticles lock the moisture in the hair. This creates your hair to be smoother and healthier.

Other benefits of using the tourmaline hair dryers:

• These dryers have advance designs; created to give users ease. Most of them are lightweight and easy to manage.

• The hair dries faster. The negative charges do not only cancel the positive charges in the hair. They also break the water into small molecules. The hair easily absorbs the water molecules. This cuts down the drying time to a significant level; thus, exposing hair to heat in short period.

• They are good for the hair. Unlike the traditional hair dryers, these leave the hair smooth and healthy. The key is with the negative charges. Closing the cuticles and locking in the moisture hydrates it. This nurtures the hair.

• You can enjoy professional result at home. If you own one of these dryers, it is relatively easy to achieve the bouncy hair you have always wanted without the frizzy feel. Everyday can turn into a good hair day.

The uses of tourmaline in hair dryers have made a positive change in the process of hair drying today. Now, men and women alike can stop worrying about damaging their hair whenever they use a hair dryer. Thanks to the negative charges generated by these dryers. They cancel out the positive charges that cause dry and frizzy hair. The negative charges break the water component making it easy for the water to be absorbed. This in turn shortens the time spent in drying the hair. All these benefits make the dryer an instant hit.<bio>Kristy is a professional hair stylist and writer for My Hair Styling Tools, a leading supplier of the Hair Straightener, Tourmaline Hair Dryer and Curling Irons.
You're about to cross the finish line in your home selling process.

Here are some tips to help you cross that line with ease.

There are just a few more steps that you need to complete before you hand over the keys to the home. During the home closing, the primary document you and your buyer will be dealing with is the settlement statement (also called the closing statement).

This is a document that lists out the fees and charges that you, as the seller, and the buyer are required to pay in the housing transaction.

The settlement statement is prepared either by the buyer's lender or the escrow agent. Regardless of who prepares the statement, that person is required to follow pertinent federal guidelines. The Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act of 1974, the governing law for closing processing in housing transactions.

It is important that you pay close attention to the settlement statement as the for sale by owner seller because it will list out the costs for which you and the buyer are responsible. Most likely, you and the buyer have already negotiated which of you will be paying which closing costs. You must review the settlement statement to ensure these costs have been assigned to the correct party.

Usually, the settlement statement is broken down into two pages. The first page summarizes payments to be made in the housing transaction. Included is the sales price of the home, settlement charges that the borrower must pay, tax adjustments, settlement charges the seller (you) must pay, first mortgage payoff amount, and total amount of cash the borrower (the buyer) must pay to the seller.

The second page of the settlement statement lists the settlement charges that you and the buyer are required to pay. This page is where your previous closing cost negotiations will appear. Your sales contract should also list these charges and to whom the charges were assigned.

There will be a group of charges that are related to processing the mortgage, whether it is a new mortgage or an assumed one.

Typical fees are the loan origination fee, appraisal fee, lender's inspection fee, assumption fee, and underwriting fees.

The mortgage lender often requires some interest and insurance premiums to be paid in advance. Usually paid by the buyer, these fees are also listed on the second page of the settlement statement. Other mortgage related costs include reserves that are deposited to set up an escrow account. These charges are assigned to the buyer.

Another group of fees included in the settlement statement are related to guaranteeing the legitimacy of the title: title search, title insurance, document preparation, notary fees, and attorney fees. Refer to the sales contract for the agreements made pertaining to these fees.

Government fees include recording fees, tax and stamps and are usually negotiated in the sales contract.

The final group of charges is miscellaneous charges that were not included in previous sections of the settlement statement. For example, a pest inspection requested by the buyer is a miscellaneous charge.

The settlement charges are totaled and entered on the first page in the summary information on the first page of the settlement statement. <bio>Find Insider Secrets To Buying And Sellng Your House Here: http://www.freelandproperty.com/buysellhomes/buy.htm </bio>

You can accept credit card payments at your website within days, and pay no monthly charges and no equipment rental charges.

Research has shown that customers are nine times more likely to buy from a website if the site accepts credit cards. Everyone knows this but many website owners do not know how to go about accepting credit cards. It is much easier than you think, and does not have to cost a fortune either.

If your site is selling downloadable goods, like software, or pdf files you can sell them through Clickbank, with income being credited to your StormPay or PayPal account automatically. This is the lowest cost option. The card processor takes a percentage of the sale, but you have very small account running costs.

You have to sign up as a Seller at Clickbank. This means that you have to have a customer support system in place. The support system does not need to be very complex, just a web page with an email address where customers can be given non-automated replies and live answers to email queries within a certain time, but you would have that anyway.

If you are selling goods that need to be delivered, then your costs will be higher, but still less than you probably think. Check out http://Charge.com for an excellent low cost package (it works out at about 30 dollars month).

You can go for the whole package of course, with Credit Card Merchant Account, but that will cost you much more, with charges for setting up the account, monthly charges and equipment rental charges, too. The percentage of each sale taken by the processor is lower if you have a Merchant Account, but the fixed charges are much higher.

Merchant accounts make sense if your sales are thousands of dollars a day, otherwise you should consider the lower cost options outlined above. <bio>Pearl Deloria has a background in management and engineering, including SMEs.
Whether you are shopping for a new credit card or wondering about the one that you may already have, knowing how to calculate the finance charge applied to that card is important. First, however, it is equally important to know what finance charges really are.

A credit card finance charge is the amount of money that you pay to the credit card company in order to use their credit. This is not the same as the purchase amount balance. The purchase amount balance is the dollar amount of the purchases that you made using the card. If you pay off the purchase amount balance within the stated amount of time that the company allows, you will have no finance charges applied to the amount. It is when you carry over your balance that finance charges are triggered and added to your account.

Finance charges are calculated using the amount of your outstanding balance and APR. The APR is the Annual Percentage Rate and all credit cards use them to figure finance charges. It is important for consumers to understand that the ARP can vary from one company to the next, and it can even vary within the same company. It is for this reason that consumers should always look for the companies with the lowest APR's. This will save you money in the long run.

There are several ways that credit card companies can calculate the finance charges that they apply to consumer credit. Many people do not realize it but the method that is used can make a difference in the amount of money that you will have to pay. Here are some of the methods that credit card companies use to figure finance charges on your outstanding balance:

They can calculate using one billing cycle or two billing cycles.

They can use the adjusted balance, previous balance, or the average daily balance.

They can exclude or include new purchases in the balance.

You will normally find that you have a lower finance charge when the company uses what is known as one-cycle billing and uses the average daily balance method which excludes new purchases. Much of this, however, depends on the balance and the time of the month that you make purchases and payments.

The next lower finance charge method is the adjusted balance, followed by the previous balance method. You can see which method the company is using by reading the bill that you receive. This information is usually contained on the back side.

It is also important that you understand that some companies will have a minimum finance charge system. When a credit card company uses this system you will be charged that set amount even if your calculated finance charge is less than that amount.

Of particular importance to some credit card holders are the cash advance programs that come with some cards. Consumers should be very careful when using credit cards for cash advances. Many companies that offer cash advances treat those advances differently than they do purchases. Before you use your credit card for a cash advance, make sure you look for the details of how you will be charged for that advance.

You will certainly want to know what the APR is for cash advances. Keep in mind that this may be significantly higher than the APR that is used for purchases. You should also investigate the fees that may be applied to the transaction. Fees are in addition to the finance charge that you will have to pay.

Lastly, find out how your payments will be credited. Some companies will apply your payments to your purchases first and then to any advances in cash that you have taken.

Use your credit card wisely and keep track of your finance charges and you will enjoy your credit more fully and avoid some of the pitfalls that many consumers experience. <bio>Peter Kenny is a writer for The Thrifty Scot, please visit us at http://www.thriftyscot.co.uk/Banking-Savings/bank-charges.html and http://www.creditcards-gb.co.uk </bio>

Online payday loans are just one of many credit options available to ordinary Americans to manage their finances. Before you use one of these products you should learn something about them. You should know what they are for, and especially, what they are not for. You should be aware of the costs of such products, how to use them sensibly, how to minimize any charges, how to tell rogue lenders from bona fide companies and then decide if this product is indeed for you.

Online cash advances or payday loans, are products designed to cover short term debt problems. They are usually for small amounts ($100 to $500) and cover a period of two to four weeks which is essentially the time frame needed for an advance on your paycheck to cover an unexpected short term lack of cash. They do not claim to be, and are not, a long term solution to large financial problems. Neither should they be used for holiday expenses, shopping sprees or totally unnecessary spending. If they are used for any of these purposes then they will cause debt problems instead of solving them. If used sensibly, they can save you money, embarrassment and credit rating problems.

Like all unsecured, short term credit products, a faxless cash advance can seem expensive in comparison to long term loans. In APR terms, depending on which lender you choose, rates can be as low as 300% to highs of over 500%. This figure seems high, but if late payment charges and bounced check charges are converted to APR terms, they are measured in thousands percent. Check the dollar figures from lenders, since these can vary from $10 per $100 borrowed to $20 and $30 per $100.

Sensible use of these products can also cut down on the charges. Some lenders are very flexible, allowing early repayment with pro rata charges, others are not so flexible, so choose your lender carefully. Most firms allow roll over options, but you should be aware that these can double the charges. You should use roll over options sparingly and avoid lenders that encourage you to roll over. The advent of the Internet and the availability of faxless payday loans have encouraged a lot of rogue players to enter the market. Some of these will have very high charges (over $10/$100 borrowed) or have inflexible payback terms. Avoid these. Choose a lender with low charges and flexible pay back terms.

An online payday loan can be a boon to ordinary people. Although borrowing from friends can seem financially less expensive, in the long term it can prove very expensive in terms of friendship. Used sensibly and sparingly they will save you embarrassment, expensive bank charges and trouble with your credit history. <bio>Written by Emma Vasquez for http://www.GetFaxlessPaydayLoans.com Get low rates on your payday loan when you apply at their website.
If you are charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), it can be terrifying and humiliating. Thus, an accused person may wish to fight such charges.

DUI charges have far-reaching effects. Those convicted of drunk driving may not only lose their job, but also end up with a prison sentence. And a DUI charge sits on a person's criminal record forever and will always have an effect on his or her life, maybe even inhibiting future job aspirations.

If you are accused of a DUI, a caliber DUI lawyer can help you undergo the seemingly overwhelming legal ordeals at hand. An expert DUI lawyer will invest a great deal of time and effort into your case and lead you through the maze of court proceedings, hopefully winning you a verdict of "not guilty" or at least, negotiating a lesser charge.

Some DUI lawyers offer free consultation and legal advice and it is here that the facts, from the day of arrest to the day you were put into police custody, are reviewed. Every bit of information can help a lawyer to design your case.

A lawyer will also go over all the potential issues that may be brought up in a courtroom setting and inform you of the various procedures you will have to go through. As well, a lawyer will map out an outline of different options for winning the case, to make the process as simple as possible. So, it is better to listen and follow your lawyer instructions.

It is very important to have the right DUI Lawyer for your case. You will feel much more confident about your situation once you sit down with a lawyer specializing in the crime you've been accused of but the success of your case will almost always depend on the validity of the charges. <bio>Stu Pearson has an interest in Business and Technology related topics.
