Have a Mailing List of Your Own

No matter what type of email you send out, you'll need a mailing list. The basic way to build a mailing list is by capturing name and email address information for everyone who buys or shows interest in your product. This can be accomplished by using a list manager on your site. List managers also provide the HTML coding for the form on the Gateway pages. A list manager collects the email addresses that are gathered with the form. Thus, your email list is collected. This might take some time so there are methods to use until you get your own email list built.

Three ways to build a list

1. One way to build a mailing list is to do ad swaps with other list owners. The way this works is, you (as company A) have an email list that you send newsletters to and another list owner (company B) has a list they send newsletters to. Company A and Company B place ads on one another's mailing lists. Each of you is promoting the other's list.

2. You can rent or buy targeted email lists. The list you develop using your own customers' names is called your "house list." Of course, when you're first starting out, your house list is likely to be skimpy. To augment it, one way to go is rent or buy a mailing list. There are two ways to buy or rent a mailing list=97approaching the company you want to rent from directly or using a list broker. Any company that emails information to its customers usually has a list manager, who handles inquiries and orders for the mailing list.

3. Another way to build an email list is to list your newsletter in all of the ezine directories.

Conclusion.

A list manager collects the email addresses that are gathered with the forms. Thus, your email list is collected. An email list that YOU COLLECT YOURSELF is worth its weight in gold

All the best, Jos van Helvoirt <bio>Jos van Helvoirt is owner of The Dutch MoneyMaker, writes on a variety of subjects about homebusiness.
There are some things that every person must learn when starting in the MLM business. One of those things is about a MLM lead list.

Every person involved in MLM needs a MLM lead list. This list is going to be the main profit-churning tool a person has.

A good MLM business owner will have two MLM lead lists. They will have one for recruiting and one for sales.

MLM is about selling and recruiting. In order to make the most profit a person needs to both sell and recruit. Therefore, having two MLM lead lists - one for recruiting and one for selling - makes sense.

The MLM lead list is just a list of names and contact information. The people on the list are people who have expressed an interest in either learning about the MLM opportunity or buying the products the MLM business is selling.

It is not enough to have just a list, but a person needs a good list. A good list is going to have verified, quality leads.

A verified, quality lead is a person who specifically requested information on the MLM company or products and who is expecting and wanting to be contacted. These leads are the best because they hold the most potential to turning into a recruit or a sale.

The whole idea of a MLM lead list is to turn a profit. It is important to keep the list current and up-to-date. It should be refreshed often with new names.

A MLM lead list is going to be one of the main tools a person uses when running their MLM business. It can literally make or break the MLM business. That is why it is critical for a person to understand what a MLM lead list is and how to create the best quality lead list. <bio>Anna Hugi is a sole parent of three young boys.
Ever wonder how Internet marketers are able to send out a single email and make tons of money?

The truth is that it's quite simple and if you knew the secret you too could make tons of money online. Experts won't share this secret weapon because they know if you had it you could get the same results.

What is this secret you may ask? I'm going to tell you the secret. Well, here goes it's so simple you're going to freak out. "The secret is...A Buyers List" That's right a buyers list.

All the guru's tell you the money is in the list, and that is partially true. What they don't tell you is that it's a list of buyers that make you tons of money. There is no money in a huge list of prospects who don't buy from you. What you want is a list of buyers, that's what really counts.

The thing that stands in the way of most people reaching internet marketing success is not being able to build a list of buyers. Sure you can build a huge list of prospects but will they buy? Probably not, and as you know there is only a one to two percent response from any given mailing.

If you have a huge list of say 35,000 to mail to, then that might not be too bad. But what if you could mail your ad to a small list of say 1,500 of buyers. People who have proven they want to buy your products or services.

Then your response could shoot up to ten percent. Wow, think of all the money you could make from just a small list of proven buyers.

So, what would you think is easier...building a list of 35,000 or a list of 1,500 buyers? Well, the answer may surprise you. The truth is that the bigger list of prospects is actually easier to build than a targeted list of buyers.

The difference is though that with the smaller list you will make money. The larger list will give you about a one-percent return or less. No thanks, I think I'll stick with a small list of targeted buyers.

Quality is everything when sending out your offers to your list. If you have a quality list of buyers you will make money online. Another thing to consider when building your list of buyers is your offer. Most Internet Marketers concentrate their efforts on getting the name and email at all costs.

This is a big mistake. You must remember that what we want is a list of people who will turn into customers and buyers of our products and services. To do this the offer must lead the prospect to purchase other related products from you.

The best way to do this is to make sure that when you're setting up your capture page you offer a teaser product that compliments your other offerings. Whether they be in the form of an ebook, a service or some sort of home study course.<bio>Rolando Valdes is an online marketer and owns http://www.ebookdaddy.info If you liked this article, visit his site today and find out the easy way to build a massive list of buyers that can explode your online business. Find Out More Here</bio>

Building an opt-in list is something that you may want to do if you own a web site. Of course, this is not necessary for every type of site, but there are many that would benefit greatly from having an opt-in list. Of course, this is not always easy to do; especially in today's day and age where spam is huge. But with that being said, you can begin to build your opt-in list with success if you put your mind to it. After all, you might as well give this a try. If you become a success you will notice that your email marketing campaign is in a much better position to succeed.

The first step to building an opt-in list is having an area on your website where you can get people to sign up. This is hard to do because there are conflicting opinions about where you should put this. As a general rule of thumb, you will want to give visitors the ability to sign up for your opt-in list on the home page. This is where they will start their search, and a home page placement gives you the best chance to capture their information. Make sure that you are not too much over the top when you are designing your opt-in list subscribe button. If you are, people are going to be immediately put off. You may also want to add a disclosure saying that you will not spam or sell email addresses. Something this small may help to grow your opt-in list larger than you ever thought possible.

So why would you want to build an opt-in list? This is a question that people struggle with all the time. The great thing about an opt-in list is that you will have information, such as names and email addresses, for people who are genuinely interested in whatever you have to offer. After all, if they have taken the time to sign up for your opt-in list they must be interested in what you are saying. In turn, you can then use this opt-in list in order to make sales. You should add it to your current email marketing campaign, and then take things from there. When it comes down to it, you have a much better chance of success with an opt-in list than most other ways of marketing. For instance, if you cold call people you may have some success, but you are not sure if they really want to hear from you. On the contrary, with an opt-in list you know that the recipient is interested in you and your products or service.

As you can see, building an opt-in list can help your business to thrive! <bio>Pasi Kaarakainen owns the website with resources of everything you'll ever need to start, run and grow a home based business.
You know those instances when you head to the grocery store to buy a specific number of things but instead end up spending a lot more than you expected on things that you had no plans of getting?

It happens to everybody. We go to the supermarket, believing that we will only be spending x amount of dollars and then, before you know, we are picking up all sorts of small items from the shelves. The things we need to buy are clear in our heads, but we end up stuffing our carts with all sorts of things that we did not intend to buy or sometimes do not even need. The next thing you know, we are at the check-out counter and we are absolutely aghast at how much we have to pay. At that time, of course, there's nothing more we can do about it but pay the cashier. Then we think to ourselves, that's the last time I'm going to spend more than what I planned at the grocery story. But the next time we're back there, we do the same thing all over again. It's like we have no control of ourselves.

Here's a tip to all you consumers about how to save on your groceries. No, it's not that you should buy this brand or that product over all the others. This piece of advice is much more practical. And it's simple, too. The advice: always bring a list of things to buy.

Sure, you've heard it all before. In fact, you probably used to have a list when you went to the supermarket but you got so used to buying the same things over and over again that you felt you didn't need the list any more.

Well, you still need that list. Trust me.

It's just a matter of how you regard the list. Before, you had the list to remind you of all the things your family needed. You had the list because you didn't want to forget anything important. This time around, try to think of the list in another way. Think of the list as a minimum requirement for any product before you can decide to purchase it. In other words, if an item is not on the list, you will not buy it. This will save you an incredible amount of money. And during that instance when you may think you need something but forgot to put it on the list, don't buy that thing anyway. How important can it be if you forgot to put it on the list? <bio>Jonathon Hardcastle writes articles for http://1stconsumerinfo.com/ - In addition, Jonathon also writes articles for http://universeofjobs.com/ and http://4businesstalk.com/ </bio>

The easiest way to acquire an email list for your ezine or email marketing is just to buy one. They're not too expensive, and they provide you with a long list of names and email addresses.

But if there is one thing I've learned as the owner of an ezine, it is that the easy road is not always the one that brings you the best results. The problem with buying an email list is that none of the people on that list know who you are. When they receive an email from you, most likely they will just delete it without bothering to open it.

That is why it is so beneficial to build your own opt-in email list. Yes, creating a list from scratch is the more difficult and time-consuming solution, but at least it is a solution. Email lists rarely bring the desired results, so the money you spend on them might as well be flushed down the toilet.

Email marketing and ezine distribution isn't about blasting a bunch of strangers with sales pitches and information they don't want and didn't ask for. If you really want to achieve results with your email list, you need to build your own.

Here is a list of questions you need to ask yourself when building your email list:

Who is your target audience and what do you have to offer them? What kind of relationship do you want with the recipients of your emailings? What method or methods will you use to collect email addresses?
Do you have a movie list in a notebook, in your filing cabinet, or on your computer? Many people do. Whether you simply like to keep lists and inventories, or it's necessary to keep track of a vast collection, keeping a movie list can be as simple as a list of titles, or it can be an elaborate database with tons of information about each movie. But the most fun way to keep track of your collection is with special software that does the hard work for you, and lets you simply enjoy browsing through your movie list.

If you're keeping a movie list written down somewhere, now's the time to transfer your list to the computer. Paper lists are easily lost, and though updating them is as simple as writing down something new, to re-organize the list you have to rewrite the entire thing. If you like any semblance of order to your list, a paper inventory doesn't have much to offer.

At the very least, you can type the list into your computer in either a text editor or a word processor. Then even though it looks just like a paper list, only typed, it's much easier to insert a movie where you want it and make changes without re-doing the whole thing. A better solution would be for you to create a database on your computer for your movies. Most office software packages offer database-making capabilities, so it's not difficult (as long as you know your way around your software) to create a movie list database. You'll just create headers for the title of the movies, the genre, the year of release, and any other headers you want.

If you create a movie list database on your computer, set aside a good chunk of time to type in all your movies and their relevant information. Depending on how large your collection is, how fast you type and how familiar you are with making and updating a database, this could be quite a project. But once it's done, then you can manipulate your list, sort it, and organize it any way you want, on the fly. Alternately, you can download some sort of list-making software that's generic in its approach--you can list anything. Then you won't have to make a database, but you still have to take the time to type everything in.

Or you could make a movie list the fun way, with software designed just for movies. The best movie list software does all the hard work for you--not just set-up, but filling in the movie information, too. You'll just use the software to search for a film. When it finds the right one, you're only a few clicks away from adding it to your collection complete with an image of the cover, and detailed information about each film. Forget those written or typed movie lists! Keep track of your movies the fun and easy way, with movie list software.<bio>Max Smirnov, movie list software developer</bio>

People have celebrated wedding anniversaries since antiquity, each culture having its own set of practices covering what presents have been exchanged. Over the years certain gifts have been set aside for specific years, creating a traditional anniversary gift list. The traditional anniversary gift list was created at a point in time when people had less starting out in wedded bliss, so the list is a somewhat practical one. This traditional anniversary gift list was actually comprised of items which would be of real benefit to the new couple.

As the years have gone by, a newer anniversary gift list of a more modern nature has arisen to appeal to the more affluent modern couple. With the newer trend of later marriages, there is less need for starter items for newlyweds, as each usually has a lived alone and acquired items on their own which will be added to the combined household. This is completely opposite the traditional way of staying home until a suitable candidate was received for marriage.

This newer anniversary gift list also allows for practical gifts within the first few years of marriage, but it also has diamonds showing up three times as opposed to the traditional anniversary gift list with its one occurrence of diamonds. There are instances though, where both anniversary gift lists name the same gift.

Anniversary gift lists are nice a nice reference to get ideas for your anniversary, but a gift that is given out of love and that comes out of the understanding of your spouse will outdo a listed gift on any day. So with that thought in mind, here's the traditional versus modern anniversary gift list. May all your anniversaries be happy and full of love.

1st year Traditional List: paper Modern List: clock

2nd year Traditional List: cotton Modern List: china

3rd year Traditional List: leather Modern List: crystal, glass <bio>Want to learn more about http://www.top-anniversary-gift-guide.info anniversary gift?
List building is something we all do to make money, and if you're not list building, you should be. People are always saying, "The money is in the list." Because it is. You may be making some money from your list, but you won't make as much as you could be making if you don't go about list building the right way.

What does your thank you page say? I mean, after people sign up to join your list, does the submit button redirect them to a generic "thank you" page from your autoresponder? If that's all you have, you're missing out on a sweet opportunity to pull your new list member into the fold and to make yourself some awesome cash, too.

These ideas don't apply to people pushing their own programs or products, obviously. The thank you page in those cases would be the sales letter for the program or product, of course. But for people who don't have a product...

Perhaps you'll want to show your new list members a one-time offer, like a software bundle or an information product that you have resale rights to. Or, you can pick a product from ClickBank and sell that. But whatever you offer people, remember that your main objective is list building, and you have to be able to stand behind the products or programs you offer. Otherwise, you could create this huge list building abyss that you may never climb out of!

This is the picture: Jack clicks the submit button on your list building page and is taken to a one-time offer for an information product. He trusts you to promote something good, but when he gets it, he finds that it's loaded with ms-information. Not only that, but the .mp3 added a virus to his computer and he had to spend $100 to get it removed. He tells his friends to stay off your list because you obviously don't have a clue about good business. BOOM! You're dead in the water.

Will Jack recommend his friends? I don't think so. He probably won't stay on your list, either. And when his friends ask him about you, he'll be like, "Stay away!" Nasty words like that can just halt your list building efforts and kill your business.

But let's say that you've used and really, really like someone else's product. You like it; you use it. Heck it even has a money-back guarantee.

So, Jack buys the product from you, and he's thrilled with it. Not only that, but he's become an affiliate, too, and is making money with it on his own. He's happy and he tells his friends, "Tellman got me started. You should join his list." How cool is that? So, 5 of Jack's friends join my list, and they tell 5 of their friends, and all of a sudden, my list is growing exponentially, right?

The thing is that when you're list building, you need a good thank you page. Choose a great product that you can stand behind. When it works so well that it brings other people to your list, you'll be making money and your list will be growing. Isn't that what it's all about? <bio>Tellman Knudson is CEO of http://OvercomeEverything.com.
As soon as people learn about your engagement, they begin to wonder whether or not they are invited. Determining, at least a rough draft, of your guest list should be one of the first steps in the planning process. How many people you invite is mostly determined by your budget.

Your guest list will have an impact on almost everything you need to plan for in your wedding such as your reception venue, your wedding cake, the number of invitations, and more.

You can start with as many names in your list as you like, then you have to go through the filtering process. You and your fiancée should individually list every one you'd like to invite. Invite your parents to make their own lists, especially if they are paying for the wedding. Compare your lists, if necessary, compromise.

The easiest way to reduce the number is to cross off the duplicates from each list. Working together you'll be able to reduce the list to your preferred number of guests. The best guest list is big enough to make everyone happy and small enough to fit your budget.

Don't worry about inviting long lost far away friends to the wedding. The purpose of inviting people is to have your closest friends and loved ones near you on this special day. The goal is not to invite as many people as you can unless you are a celebrity hungry for publicity.

There are few very important factors to consider when finalizing your guest list:

Are you going to have an adults only reception, or do you want to invite children as well?

Are you going to invite anyone from work? For the most part, it is sufficient to invite your boss only, unless you are very close with some other coworkers.

If you have single friends, will you invite their significant others, or not? If it fits in your budget, it is best to allow fiancées and long time companions, especially if they have been part of your life.

Finalizing your guest list is an interesting exercise, and it can be a stressful experience. If you work well with your fiancée you will find it fairly easy to come up with your guest list. <bio>Author: George Meszaros with http://www.beachweddingfavor.com </bio>

With all the reports, ebooks, tutorials, etc, etc on list building. There's one thing that should be pretty apparent. The information available is insufficient, vauge and simply does not provide the would be list builder with enough to undertake the task of building a large, responsive list of subscribers. Or it is so technical the reader would have to be a web designer and copywriter if they were to expect any success at all.

David Bullock's "The List Blueprint" finally takes the guesswork out of building your list. No fancy software, no techno-babble, and no degree in computer science is needed.

Below is a sample of the topics you'll find:

1. Market Research and where to go to do it.

2. Traffic! His Free Traffic Generation Methods are some you've seen before and alot more you haven't.

3. Where and how to get traffic without spending a dime on advertising. I was a bit embarrased that I hadn't thought of these myself. Simple, Easy strategies you can impiment with minimal effort.Very impressive.

4. Traffic Conversions. Turning subscribers into paying customers. If you've followed the blueprint you won't be disappointed.

5. What to do with Subscribers once there On Your List. It's one thing to get subscribers but how do you keep them?

6. A Plan of Action to Follow. A step by step blueprint that is easy to follow and impliment. He doesn't just tell you, he takes you by the hand and shows you.

These are by no means the complete list of what this informative ebook contains. There's much much more. Too much for this review. I'd like to add, there is no hype or filler. It's 34 pages of useful, easy reading, information that will make your list building efforts as easy as tripping over a rock.

David gives you the How and Why of all aspects of list building and gives you clear cut examples that you can apply to building your own list.

He writes in a fashion you'll easily understand. Don't let the price reflect the quality of this ebook. It's truly a steal at $9.97.

I've read my share of ebooks and reports on How To Build A List and nothing even remotely comes close to "The List Blueprint".

So...

....If you're tired of spinning your wheels, hoping for that day when you can market your goods and services to a large responsive list I recommend you get "The List Blueprint".

It'll be the best $9.97 you'll ever spend! <bio>You've heard it before, "The Money's In The List", "The Money's In The List" It's True.
Don't think of co-registration as "buying leads." That's a completely different ball park. Whereas a co-registration list is built with people who have chosen to be on your list, leads are just a list of strangers that haven't made that choice at all. Co-registration is much more in tune with the spam laws in effect today.

Co-reg is a great list building tool, and can build your list very quickly. You should definitely be looking at co-reg, if you're a new Internet marketer. The way it works is that you pay the co-registration service to advertise your offer, which can be an ezine, a newsletter, an autoresponder series, etc., along with the offers of several other businesses. Beside each of these offers is a check box, where people can choose or not choose the offers that are presented.

There are a couple of things you should consider when it comes to co-reg. One of them is whether or not to have the check box filled in when your offer is presented. There are two ways to look at that. If the box is filled, people won't miss signing up for your offer when they sign up for other offers. Plus, they can always decide to un-check the box. If the box isn't filled in, they may not fill it in, unless they're very interested in joining your list. This will be a very targeted customer, but your list will grow a lot more slowly.

The second consideration is whether you want your subscribers to be double or single opted in. That means the difference between their receiving a confirmation message from your autoresponder or not. If they double opt-in, they're confirming that they want to be part of your list and you're protecting yourself in case of any spam complaints that might arise. On the other hand, single optin is much, much faster.

That means the quickest way to be list building is via single optin with the check box filled in. But is it the best list building option for you? You'll have to decide that.

The biggest issue with co-registration is training the people on your list to respond. They don't really know who you are or much about you. You need to make them friends.

Mail out to them at least once or twice a week, and give them information. Let them in on free offers or products that you've found helpful to you. And make them your friends. They'll be much more likely to buy a product you recommend to them, if they like and trust you.

Co-registration list building rocks. It's a great way to build your list quickly. Just decide how you want to get your leads, and then, train them to be responsive. Just don't be afraid to try it out. If you still don't understand, get more information, but just realize that it's a very, very quick way to be list building and then, making money online. <bio>Tellman Knudson is CEO of http://OvercomeEverything.com and a master of list building.
Have you ever made a to-do list and because there were so many items on the list you just couldn't figure where to start so you hid it away in a drawer and decided that your old muddled way was best after all?

Have you ever made a list, started on the first item on your list only to find discover half way through the project that you didn't have every thing you needed to complete it successfully? Or that the project you thought was urgent turned out not to be that urgent and something else was very urgent?

So how do you make a Do-able To-Do list? Where do you start and how can you tell which is the most urgent item? Well if you follow this method you will have no trouble knowing where to start and what is your most urgent item.

Now list making takes time and mental energy. Mental energy can affect you physically so before you start writing your list make yourself comfortable and give yourself time. (You should allow yourself at least one hour to make your list when you are new to this method. With practice you will be able to cut down the time.)

The first step is to get yourself a large pad of paper a ballpoint pen and 3 colored markers. Doesn't matter what color they are but they must be different. Now take your pad and write down everything and I mean everything you have to/need to/ want to/would like to do.

Now study your list and decide which are the most urgent and important items. Take one of your markers and write `A' alongside those items. Study your list again and this time decide which items are important but not urgent. Take another one of your markers and write `B' alongside these items. Finally take your third marker and mark everything else on your list `C'. If you have thought carefully about your list you will know that these items are not important or urgent.

Next take a new sheet of paper and write down all the items you marked with an `A'.

Now go down through the list and decide which is the most urgent and important item. When you are sure take your pen and number that item (1). Now decide which is the next most urgent and important item and number that item (2). Go through each item until you have numbered them all. This is your `A' list and every item on it is urgent and important.

So which project do you start first? To find the answer to this question you need to go back to the item numbered (1) and ask your self "do I have everything I need to start this project and bring it to a successful conclusion?" If your answer is "yes" that's where you start! If your answer is "no" keep going down your list until you can answer "yes".

Once you start on that project try and forget everything else until you have completed it. Because despite what some people say we really can only do one thing successfully at a time. The important thing is knowing which to-do thing to do. <bio>David Allen spent most of his life being too busy to really "think".
One of the big Internet marketing breakthroughs you may hear people talking about is using direct mail.

In other words, getting the postal addresses of your email list and sending them offline offers. Many of the top Internet marketers in the world do this and swear they double, triple even quadruple their sales.

And I believe this to be true from my own tests and observations as well. But what's even more exciting is that many of these experts are renting lists of offline people and driving them to their websites to capture their email addresses. In other words, expanding their email lists using offline lists.

However, if you decide to do this, you must be careful of who you get your lists from. There is an art to finding a good mailing list and most Internet marketers haven't really had a chance to learn about it.

Which brings me to a recent interview I did with legendary copywriter Bob Bly. Bob gave me a great tip on making the whole list renting issue painless and easy.

What he said was to never, ever rent a list from a list owner. Reason why is because you are obviously not going to be getting an unbiased answer when you inquire as to the quality of the list. A list owner can (and probably will in many cases) tell you whatever you want to hear.

And so Bob said to always go to a good list broker. A list broker being someone who finds lists for you, does all the work and then delivers you the exact list you are looking for.

The way Bob explained it to me was it costs you nothing to use a list broker since he gets paid by the list owner, not you. Plus, it is in the broker's best interest to please you and give you what you want since he wants your repeat business. If he messes around and gives you a non-responsive list, or doesn't actually go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and successful and make money from your mailing, then he knows you probably won't be back.

This may sound like simple advice. But the fact is most Internet marketers have never dealt with offline lists before and it can be a totally different animal than online lists and joint ventures.

And so, if you are going to be expanding your Internet marketing business by going to offline lists and trying to drive them to your online list, make sure you consider the advice Bob gave in the interview.

It could save you a lot of time, money and frustration. <bio>For 117 hour marketing advice from guru's in all aspects of direct mail marketing, go to Michael Senoff's http://www.hardtofindseminars.com/audioclips.htm </bio>

Do you live your life constantly attempting to finish your To Do list? Are you demoralized on an ongoing basis because the To Do list grows as fast on one end as it shrinks on the other end? Does it seem like your To Do list is a stack of items about two feet high, and consumes all your time? Do you wonder if there is any meaningful way to manage your To Do list and not be "run" by it?

Consider the "Rotating To Do List". The concept is that you always organize your To Do list with the highest priority items on top, and handle the most important items first. It's called a rotating To Do list, because the most important things naturally rotate to the top of the list, and off the list when accomplished. Unimportant items naturally rotate off the bottom of the list when you realize they do not need to be done. Items rotate up and down the list according to their importance.

1. All items are arranged in order of priority. You always focus on and handle the top item on the list first and keep your focus on the top few items every day.

2. You handle as many other items on the list as you can, and stop when you want, without guilt or negative self talk. If items are not really important, they will naturally fall off the bottom of the list. If you have a lot of minor items that bug you, set aside a day once in a while to just get as many of these things out of you way as you can.

3. If there are consequences involved in a particular To Do item, it is a high priority item, and needs to be put at the top and handled first.

4. A simple way to create a rotating To Do list is to type it on the computer using bullets. Once typed, rearrange the bullets in order of priority.

5. Use your list every day, and keep it where you can consult it first thing every day. Make it something you revise at the end of the day or first thing in the morning. That way, you have a clear plan of action for your day every day.

6. When revising daily, simply remove anything that's been completed, and add anything new. Rearrange the order of priority with the most important things on top, and go.

7. You could even consider keeping another list at the bottom of your To Do list, or on the next page. Call this list "Accomplishments", and simply cut and paste any items on your To Do list that you have completed onto your Accomplishments list. This will give you a great feeling of perspective when you wonder where your time has gone.

Maintaining focus on accomplishing highest priority items first gives a great feeling of satisfaction and competence. It eliminates the negative feeling of being constantly bogged down in minutia. It helps us make progress on the things we consider most important. Doing that makes us feel like winners rather than losers to To Do trivia.<bio>Suzi Elton is a success coach working with "difference makers" who are ready to effect positive change by living their highest life purpose.
I would rather promote a squeeze page than a sales page any day. A lot of other big list owners get all wimpy, and say, "I don't want to promote to a squeeze page and give everybody my list." Basically that's what you call whussy thinking.

What they're saying is, "There are not enough subscribers out there for me to make money, so I don't want to give mine away by promoting you."

Then why the heck are you doing affiliate marketing anyway if you're not going to properly promote other people?

I would rather someone have a 400-part email autoresponder follow-up sequence in place so that as soon as I drive traffic to a squeeze page they sign-up and are hammered until they either buy or leave that list. I would rather have that any day of the week because your long-term responsiveness will increase because of the follow-up.

Do I follow up with people when they opt in to my sequences? Yes, like crazy! There are ten or 12 emails in that series that people get when they opt in.

There are other reasons to do it this way. For example, you can train your list to opt in to other people's lists, and therefore, the better results you're going to get long-term. If you can get your list to opt into squeeze pages on a regular basis, then every time you have a teleseminar and everything else, you're going to get higher conversion ratios on squeeze pages from people in your list.

Your list will be trained to convert. I believe that is one of the reasons that I do so well--I do that relentlessly.

Whenever I'm giving business advice to people I say, "You're going to have a product and you're going to sell through affiliates and affiliates are going to drive traffic--you're dumb not to have a squeeze page."

You're dead stupid if you don't have a squeeze page in front of that, in my opinion. Maybe at some point that will change for some reason, but right now I live and breathe it.

When you're congruent that way and when you'll promote someone else's squeeze page, when it comes time for you to have a product, then you can just go to those same people who you promoted their squeeze page for and say, "I'd like you to promote my product and here's why: You should definitely go ahead and drive traffic to the squeeze page because I'll do great follow-up just like you did."

If you do this, you'll end up working with people who are good at list building instead of people who are just out to make a buck or sell some product. List building is building a long-term relationship with people. No matter which way you cut it, that is the deal. <bio>Tellman Knudson, master list builder and CEO of OvercomeEverything, Inc. relays some of his most effective methods of building a list in his new online course http://MyFirstList.com ( http://myfirstlist.com ). </bio>

Recently in the Warrior forum there was a thread called "Craig's List is Impossible!". Craig's List Marketing is tough, but not impossible. I have lived in San francisco for more than 10 years and I have seen Craig's List this site grow from a quirky site run by a guy to keep in contact with his friends, to the internet giant it is today.

Craig's List is definitely tricky because of certain principles they have maintained. You see, in spite of every other major Internet site selling out in one way or another to large corporations, Craig List has not done so, not at all. There are not even ad sense ads there. Think of how much revenue Craig's List could generate just by adding ad sense.

No, Craig's list maintains a community feel. The only revenue comes from business ads in the largest markets. This community feel is the reason Craig's list is able to flourish. Understanding these reasons will also allow you to understand the concepts behind how to approach your relationship with them. Frankly, Internet marketers are used to slash and burn approaches and "Black Hat" methods when approaching such giants. There is no need for this relative to Craig's List.

There are three main reasons why people's ads get flagged or they decide to abandon a Craig's List marketing strategy for their business. Those reasons are:

Flagged by the Community =96 You post an ad and some busybody with nothing better to do decides to flag it, right? -- WRONG!! - You do not know what you are doing, that is the problem.

Flagged by the Craig's List Staff, resulting in a mass deletion of ads - Someone at Craig's List decides to delete all of your ads for some reason, right? -- WRONG? - It is nothing personal -- it is their 'bot deleting you because of certain flags in your ad or rules you have violated.

Duplicate content filters preventing you from posting the same ad time and again =96 At this point you realize how much time and effort it will take to write ad after ad to slide in under the duplicate content filters, only to have them flagged by either the staff (bot) or community, leaving you to conclude, Craigs List is impossible!-- right? -- WRONG

There is a way to create ads very quickly that will: a) Slide under the duplicate content filters b) Not set off the alarms with the Craig's list 'bot or c) Get flagged by the Craig's list community.

If you discover these secrets you will you have a free flood of targeted visitors to your website whenever you want them. If not, you will keep having to grovel at the feet of Google, MSN and Yahoo. <bio>Jeremy Lawrence is an independent business person and Niche Marketer.
List Building: Some Important Considerations For Implementing List Building Strategies

One of the most important jobs for any Internet Entrepreneur is list building. Below are five steps for building stronger, more powerful lists that will work harder and more efficiently for your growing internet based business. With a stronger, better list, you will see an increase in profits and traffic flow to your site.

The first thing to understand is that quality is more important than quantity when it comes to list building. While having a larger list may seem to be a great thing, if those people on the list are not likely to purchase your product or service then your list while larger is not effective. Creating a targeted list of customers that have a genuine potential for purchasing from you gives you a stronger foundation for potential sales and increased sales. You have the potential for reaching more potential customers by honing your list.

The next concern with list building is keeping it up to date. You need to be constantly aware of contact addresses that are no longer valid. This is not something that you do once and forget about it. Email addresses change; people change jobs, internet service providers or even die. Sending your messages to invalid addresses is a waste of valuable time and energy. Not only that, it doesn't give a true indicator of your customer base.

The third things to consider when building your list are the services and computer programs offered today. Serious list building requires serious effort. Check out the technology and services available for building your list, as well as the professionals and support services that are out there. You may be well served by using one of the services that specializes in list building and autoresonders.

Another element to consider in list building is the legality of what you are sending and how you are sending it. In recent years strict laws have been passed against inappropriate emailing. Failure to comply with these regulations and laws can and will result in stiff fines, penalties and even the loss of your internet site. If you are in doubt as to whether your message is in compliance, it is a good idea to consult with a legal professional to be certain. If in doubt, check it out. Don't even think about purchasing a list of supposed opt in subscribers, you will very likely get burned. There is no substitute for building your own list!

Last but not least, incorporate your list building into your marketing program. Start building your list from the very beginning and don't stop. Set aside a few minutes every day for list maintenance. Schedule time each week for you major list building tasks. If you can incorporate the list building into the overall schedule of your marketing plan you are less likely to overlook the little things. <bio>You can get a free copy of our latest ebook "The 7 Keys To Business Success" by clicking here: http://www.bizraves.com/is .
The hottest marketing technique today is blogging. Why? you may wonder. What does blogging have to do with list building?

Blogs are very search engine friendly because search engine spiders don't have to deal with java script or flash, or too many images, usually, and they don't get hung up on the crawl. And besides that, a blog is constantly updating with fresh content. That's what search engines love best.

So, what happens?

Your blog, which you've updated daily, winds up at the top of the search engines for a keyword you've used in every post you've made. That's great because what gets clicked when someone searches? Usually the first few links.

If you're one of those links, you'll have a ton of traffic just going to your blog, where you talk about your niche and send people to your list building squeeze page at the end of every post, right? You'll get all these people clicking to your blog, and if you set up your blog the right way, you're also collecting names for list building there, too.

Putting a list building opt-in box at the top of your squeeze page is enormous! You really should do that, if you can. I'm not sure it's possible with the managed blog sites, like Blogger, for instance, but you can surely do it, if you have a blog, like a WordPress blog, on your own server. It's pretty simple to do. You just get the list building form code from your autoresponder, and it plug it into the blog template.

This is probably hard for some of you, but if you don't know what you're doing with that kind of stuff, hire somebody to do it for you. It won't cost much to get a blog set-up and running, with your list building box at the top. Just don't let anything stop you from setting up your blog. It's a very good way to get list building traffic.

You may say, andquot;I'm no writer. What would I put into a blog every day?andquot;

Well... there are plenty of places to get content, too. You can go to the article directories---there are hundreds of them---and choose articles in your niche. Articles from free directories are all free to republish. Or, you can choose something in the news about your niche. Do a book review. Quote a couple of sentences from a magazine article and give your opinion on what was written. But content is all around you and most of it is free.

List building has many different facets, and what it all boils down to is getting people to come to your list building squeeze page and having them sign up for your list. Blogging is one great way to add people to your list, who like what you have to say. Set up a blog--anywhere, be it on your own server or at one of the services--and start blogging. Use keywords important to your niche, and watch your list grow! <bio>Tellman Knudson is CEO of http://OvercomeEverything.com and a master of list building.
