Many are searching for more publishers for their article marketing activities. Submitting to the same old directories used by everyone else just isn't working very well anymore. I use three major methods to find publishers for article submission:

1. Buy Lists Of Publishers

Usually you would never want to buy an email list of anything. That will only lead to SPAM complaints. There may also be dangers in this area, but I haven't run into them yet. Every list I have ever bought really did contain only publishers who really wanted to receive article submissions from me.

How do you find these lists of publishers? The best place is to do a search on Google. Search for "newsletter publishers", "list of ezines" and anything else you can think of. There are even some free lists you will find.

2. Search Directly For Publishers

The next step is to search directly for publishers. For this, I like to use the topic of my market. So if I was looking for publishers for "marketing" articles, I would search for "marketing ezines", "marketing newsletters", "marketing articles" and "marketing publishers". Use your imagination... "marketing content", "marketing reprint", etc.

When you find a repository of articles on your subject, get familiar with the names of the other authors who submit to those publishers. Find unique names. "John Smith" isn't going to cut it for this exercise, but if you see "John Enkelheimersmith" then you have the perfect name for the next step.

Do a search for that author. They are submitting in your market and can lead you to all of the places they have found that publish their articles online.

This is really powerful. You can find the most obscure publishers who never mention the words "newsletter", "ezine", "reprint" or anything else that would give them away as a publisher. However, they did, in fact, publish articles by that author. Since they aren't easy to find, they probably aren't receiving a lot of submissions. Those are golden! They are much more likely to accept your article submission.

That is also a good lesson in general. The harder it is to find a particular publisher, the better. Those are the really valuable finds. Think about the opposite. If you just go to those top 10 article directories that everyone else uses, your article acceptance is practically useless. It is only read by other authors and used by "made for Adsense" site scrapers.

Instead, finding that small publisher of articles in your subject area that has a close following and a modest Alexa ranking of 80,000 or so. That site may publish articles of only about 12 quality authors on the subject of your market. That is your golden find. You may see 20-50 daily visitors from a single article published on such a site. And that traffic lasts practically forever.

Remember that 50 daily visitors is a sale per day if you have a 2% conversion ratio. If you make $50/sale, you have just published a single article that results in $50/day of income for you. That's way better than anything you could ever expect from one of those big article directories that everyone is using.

3. Have A Signup Form

Lot's of people want articles submitted to them. If you create a signup form on your content sites that says "Do You Have An Ezine? Want Free Quality Articles? Sign Up Here.", you will slowly get opt-ins. You can also provide a service that draws in even more opt-ins. Perhaps you can offer to list them in your ezine directory? Or your resource directory of content sites?

Finally you can convert existing webmasters into content publishers. It is a fact that any webmaster wants more traffic to their site. It is a fact that content draws in traffic. If you have a list of webmasters from any other effort (for instance if you accept articles yourself, or run a link directory, or sell traffic, or work in this market selling products to webmasters), you have a golden list. Convert them. Educate them on the importance of having more content and how easy it is to get free content from you. <bio>Check out the Artemis Pro article submission software that allows you to add your own publishers to it's submission list: http://www.ArtemisPro.com Check out the http://DirOfEzines.com to get your list started: http://www.DirOfEzines.com </bio>

Nowadays there are a lot of people that begin to work from home on line and after building their website they start an Ezine as well. The question that many of them ask is how come they don't get more subscribers for their newsletter.

I'm going to talk to you about a few things you can do to get people to subscribe to your newsletter.

A good start would be getting your Ezine listed on as many newsletter directories as possible. So start submitting your newsletter to these directories even though you might think this is time consuming. If you really don't have the time to stay and submit your newsletter to Ezine directories you can always try newsletter submission services.

I recommend you go to Google, type in "Ezine Directory" and start submitting.

If you want people to subscribe, offering them something usually works best. Try to give them something free. It can be whatever you like such as an e-book, or a free report or free ad on your site. The better the things you will give them the more subscribers you will have.

It is always important to promote your newsletter. A good free way to advertise your newsletter is through your sig file or email signature. Mostly every email program allows you to add a signature file at the end of every email you send. It is usually a few lines long, so you have enough space to promote your Ezine.

By holding a contest on your website is another good way to gain subscribers. How? Well hold a contest and make it a requirement to be subscribed to your newsletter in order to participate in that contest. This usually works and gets you more signups.

Start visiting message boards and forums and begin posting on them. Write on forums you enjoy and after you make yourself credible other forum members will more than likely want to see what you have to offer. Before you post make sure you read the rules of that forum. Most forums permit you to ad a signature file when you post. This is a very valuable way through which you get traffic to your website.

A very common topic on forums is "ad swap" which brings us to the next way through which you will possibly get more subscribers to your Ezine. Swapping newsletter ads between publishers is a very common thing. You need to find a newsletter who's audience will enjoy your Ezine. Then all you need to do is ask the publisher to swap newsletter ads and you will probably receive a positive answer.

Remember though that getting a big mailing list doesn't happen over night. These are just a few tips and methods you can use to get you started in your endeavor. Remember to have good content in your newsletter and always plant your link wherever possible. Getting your link out there is very important because this will bring you a lot of subscribers. <bio>Razvan Rovinaru is the owner of the http://work-from-home-on-line.blogspot.com Blog, where he gives you step by step guidance on how to start and develop a successful home based internet business. </bio>

Our first tip concerns Monty Python's favourite food =96 spam.

Because if you're sending out an email newsletter, you really don't want your best efforts to finish up alongside the Viagra ads!

But how can you stop it happening?

First, don't send the email from your own computer =96 and don't send the newsletter as an attachment.

Second =96 check your email against one or more of the standard Spam checkers, like SpamAssassin. The test will tell you what, if anything, is flagging up spam warnings in the filter. We often find that a single word, or combination of words, is causing the problem. That's tricky when the one word is `body' and it's a health newsletter, but a little imagination works wonders.

Third =96 make sure your newsletter is built and configured in a way that doesn't trigger a spam alert automatically. It'll take a little research to do this, but it's well worth the effort if you have the time and the necessary expertise.

Or fourth =96 let Newsletter Genie do it for you. We don't guarantee to get every email past the spam filters, but we'll use everything we know to cut that number to an absolute minimum.

And our other top tip?

When you're writing an email newsletter there's only one thing more important than giving something to your readers, and that's the call to action.

Tell them what to do, why, and how. And keep it short, simple and direct. Because otherwise they won't do anything.

Which would be a pity, when you've gone to all that trouble to send them a newsletter!

Want to know more? Then visit Newsletter Genie today =96 because we're good news for your business!

(And yes - that WAS a call to action!) <bio>Allan Scott is the founder and Director of Newsletter Genie, a total, managed email newsletter service that writes, designs and delivers your newsletter - while you collect the rewards.
Having a newsletter can easily pick your business up off the ground and make it profitable. If you do not have one, you may be missing out on the easiest way to expand your business and build trust. Here are a few tips to publishing a great newsletter.

1) Newsletters keep visitors and subscribers informed.

With a newsletter, you can inform the visitors and other internet users about your company. You can easily keep them posted and updated about what is happening within your business. You can even offer them great deals and promotional items. You can even keep current subscribers updated so they will keep returning to your website.

2) Keep your newsletter relevant to your business.

Too many times newsletter publishers will stray off topic and write about other topics. The big problem with this is you can lose many potential future sales. Current subscribers may even un subscribe from your opt in list and give your company a bad name.

Always be sure that the content of your newsletter is closely associated with your business. Do not stray too far away from what you know. While keeping the content relevant and updated, throw in some offers and free products. Just keep your visitors and subscribers as happy as possible. Hopefully, they will spread the news and help you get your business across the internet to others.

3) Include updated well-written articles.

Articles are the bloodline to any great newsletter. The better the articles you includes, the happier the customers and subscribers. Be sure that you have well written and content rich articles. The articles should be able to excite the subscribers and make them want more. Check for any grammatical errors in order for it to look professional and believable. If subscribers see that the newsletter has frequent errors, they will be turned off and leave.

4) Keep article updated and factual.

While you may feel that well written grammatically correct articles keep your newsletter alive, if the facts are outdated, you will lose customers. People today want up to the minute updates and fresh content.

If you need help, just do some research on your favorite search engine or visit a news website. Keep everything up to date as best as possible. Over time you will notice that the happy visitors and subscribers will stay with you as long as you produce a newsletter. The happier the customers, the more sales you will make. Always keep in mind that the visitors and subscribers are the bloodline to your business. Without them your business is just another thing on the internet people will overlook.

Copyright 2007 Donald Mckenzie Jr <bio>Donald Mckenzie Jr has been a successful affiliate marketer for more than 2 years.
If you're involved in a network marketing opportunity and have been looking around for a reputable MLM mailing list provider, let me save you some time and money. It's actually not difficult to generate your own MLM leads using the Internet, and in this article I'm going to reveal some simple ways that you can start building a list of MLM leads on your own. Not only will this save you a lot of money in the long run, you'll also end up with more qualified prospects as a result.

One simple way to begin generating a list of MLM opportunity seekers is through a free newsletter. Starting a newsletter aimed at providing helpful advice to network marketers is a great way to build a list of loyal subscribers. This is really simple to do and can be automated with the use of an email auto responder.

Another way to generate loads of qualified network marketer leads is through pay per click advertising (PPC). Online ad networks such as Google AdWords and Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture) allow you to run highly targeted ads by bidding on certain search keywords. PPC is a very easy way to immediately generate targeted traffic, and if you take the time to set it up correctly it can be very cheap.

Last but not least, publishing press releases on the Internet is an excellent way to drive traffic to your MLM opportunity website. While there are some online PR publishers who charge a fee, there are many free publishers who will distribute your press releases at no cost whatsoever.

Hopefully this short article has given you some ideas on how to replace an MLM mailing list service with your own stream of qualified leads. Remember also that an efficient follow up system is extremely important when the time comes to follow up with your prospects. <bio>Lazy surf bum cracks the $100K a month code using the Reverse Funnel System at http://www.ReverseFunnelSecret.com today. </bio>

For three years tens of thousands of webmasters have been making incomes ranging from a few dollars a month to five figure sums per month -- with Google's contextual advertising program --Adsense.

Indeed many Internet Gurus have made substantial profits by telling people how to monetise their website traffic by putting Adsense on it.

Adsense revenues are shared between Google and the Adsense Publisher ... the website owner -- up to now a nice cosy and profitable arrangement.

Google has always been cautious about revealing the ratio of payout to the publishers for Adsense clicks compared to the amount that the advertiser pays for the Adwords ... but the feeling among Adsense Publishers is that the percentage has been dropping steadily over the past three years -- if you are a number cruncher, you may try to interpret the financial data from Google itself here: http://investor.google.com/fin_data.html

In the past there was one price for Adword keywords, whether they appeared in Google Search results or as Adsense Ads on individual Adsense Publishers websites -- that was fine as an Adsense Publisher might get, say $4 from a click for a $6 Adword -- remember nobody knows exactly because Google will not tell!

Individual websites that publish Adsense are known as Google's content network.

On 22 November 2005 Google made a change to their Adwords advertising program - they allowed advertisers to bid different amounts for the Ads that would appear in Google Search results and for the Ads that would appear on individual Adsense Publishers websites.

So an advertiser might bid $5 for a click from Google and 5 cent for a click from an Adsense Publisher in the content network ... Ouch if you happen to be that Adsense Publisher!

Is it the end of the road for Adsense Publishers?

Is there life after Adsense?

What can Adsense Publishers do to make up for the drop in revenues?

Is it possible to make much more from your website than you were making with Adsense -- maybe this was a blessing in disguise! <bio>Brian Casey is a freelance writer who contributes to various websites and publications. http://homepage.eircom.net/~amaverick/index.htm </bio>

The more publishers you can send your articles to the better your chance of success. As the technique of writing articles is catching on and the competition is getting hotter, you cannot rely on just using one publisher. However, there are tens of thousands of publishers out there, so where do you start? Looking up, registering with, logging into and submitting articles to a high number of publishers can be a long and tedious job. If you are still working a full time job and have a family you may not be able to submit enough articles to enough publishers to make it worth your while.

At first I experimented with software that can be downloaded onto your PC. This held a database of over 800 publishers. I had register with one site at a time, whilst the software stored my usernames and passwords. Registering with over 800 sites took me days of cramming it in every spare minute. I then put my personal details and first article into the software system expecting it to send my article out to all of those sites for me. However, I still needed to submit to one site at a time. As many sites generate unique passwords, it was much quicker and more efficient using the software to remember them than trying to do it myself. Having logged onto the sites the software would automatically fill in all my stored details and the article, saving me more time.

But still, doing this with over 800 sites, then submitting one article a week can still take up a lot of time. Furthermore it can cost you the best part of $100/month. Bare in mind that when somebody recommends this type of software, some of them are part of affiliate programs and the recommender may be getting paid. Although I joined such an affiliate program I do not feel comfortable recommending it as the time it takes can be prohibitive if you have work and family commitments.

What I would recommend though is that you look for a website that is can submit your articles to publishers without you having to download software onto your computer. There will still be a charge, but it can be much cheaper than downloading software. Basically you submit your article, pay a small fee and they send it the publishers for you.

I have started to use http://Isnare.com (not an affiliate program and I don't get paid for this recommendation). For a very small fee, they can send your article to over 40,000 publishers. Very wide distribution, very low cost and very little time spent on the distribution process. Also, you don't get inundated with emails from all the publishers that you have registered with.

I would rather spend spare time creatively writing more articles then cramming all I can into distributing them. Especially as it will take a number of articles to build up a rapport with your reader. <bio>Complete system with tools and guide to promote your MLM/Affiliate business on-line: http://www.success-simplified.blogspot.ws Further advice and help to build your MLM business http://www.success-simplified.blogspot.com </bio>

Question: How can I get long-term advertising for my Direct Sales website without spending a fortune?

Signed, Direct Sales Mom

Dear Direct Sales Mom, Very often, people in Direct Sales don't realize they can benefit from the same methods of internet marketing that other online businesses use. Writing and submitting articles is one of those methods of marketing that is extremely effective for Direct Sales businesses.

If you're unfamiliar with the way article marketing works, basically, you write and give away helpful, informative articles. Why would you work so hard and give away your information? Look at the bottom of this article. There you'll see my name and a brief bit of information about what I do. I didn't pay for that advertising. It's free.

So, how does it work? You write an article about a topic that you are interested in -- usually one that relates in some way to your business. If you sell makeup, there's no point in writing about forest fires. So, show your expertise and share your love of what you do in a brief article. Then you'll want to find article directories that will accept your article. You'll submit your articles to the directories, including your author bio and a link to your website.

Website publishers, blog owners, and ezine publishers will search the directories and find interesting articles to share with their readers. When they use one of your articles, they'll include your author bio at the end with a clickable link to your website. Voila. You just scored some free traffic.

As long as your company allows you to link to your website, (and I realize that some don't) -- you can use article writing to grow your customer list and your team.

If your company does not allow links to your website, you may be able to set up a lead generation page to get people's information. Or you can send them to a newsletter sign up page where you can get them on a list where you may talk more freely about your products in your newsletter. Just be sure to check with your company policies and procedures before investing too much time and energy into writing articles.

Now get writing!
How to get a book deal without being scammed is a hurdle for any writers. Publishers Are Not Exempt From Questionable Practices.

Keep These Warning Signs in Mind

Charges a fee to read your manuscript. You are providing the product for them to sell. Why should you have to pay to see if they are interested in your work?

Offers subsidy contracts (you pay them to have your book published) when they promote themselves as commercial publishers. Are POD (publish-on-demand) publishers, such as authorshouse, IUniverse, and Xlibris, legitimate publishers? Yes as long as the author realizes the costs and the limitations of POD publishing. Publish On Demand books are rarely stocked in bookstores.

Bait and Switch There are some publishers who hide behind the mask of respectability and call themselves `traditional' when in fact they are a vanity press. How can you tell? Look at their websites, if the focus is on recruiting writers rather than promoting the books they publish, it's a huge red flag.

Other publishers `will accept' your manuscript and then come back a few weeks later and say that their list for the next season is full but they would dearly love to publish your book. You just need to share the risk with them by giving them some money.

A new twist is to tell the author that their project has merit but the author will have to find an investor to sponsor their title. The publisher isn't asking the author directly for any funds but many authors shell out the necessary dollars rather than try and find an `investor.'

Rebates The publisher says that any fees you pay them will be completely refunded once your book reaches a certain sales level, usually in the thousands. Or that they will provide a comparable number of `free' copies when the magic sales level has been reached.

A twist on rebates is that the publisher will match your monetary contribution in marketing efforts for your title. Publishers are supposed to market their own titles. The match most likely will not be in advertising dollars, review copies sent, or book tour expenses but the efforts of the in house staff. Efforts that probably won't be focused specifically on your title.

How to get a book deal without getting scammed is possible for any author. Just keep these warning signs in mind. <bio>Want to find out how you can avoid scams and still get your book published?
Many work at home business owners post a hundred free content articles in the article directories, before they realize that there is more to the free content link building program then first meets the eye.

While the article directories work, there is a little more involved for Internet Marketers who want to max out their links in a short time.

Article Directories And Newsletters

The article directories are divided by category, but most of the time, they are so vague that web publishers need to waste hours finding a great article.

The most common application for web articles is in newsletters. Most webmasters promise their visitors a bi-weekly, or monthly newsletter. Instead of collecting articles from writers, they use free content.

The way to appeal to these publishers is to write `dynamite' titles. To many article writers use titles like, how to start a work at home business, start a business in ten days, etc..

Instead, solve a problem for the readers and use titles to sell the article. Titles like `WHAM! Make Money This Week," "I Will Help You Earn a Living in Less Than a Year," "Toss Internet Marketing Out the Door."

This type of title makes the publisher look good in their subscribers eye. It looks like the publisher is giving their subscribers something new and innovative.

Evergreen Content

Many people ask what evergreen content really is. In short, it is anything which has been written about thousands of times, and can be found on any website.

It is easy to write evergreen content. Find a few versions on the web, compile the information, rewrite it, and there is another article ready for the web. Unfortunately, most publishers have already published a few articles with the same information. They need something new.

Build an Article

1. The trick is adding one new piece of information near the top of the article. And =96 forget the introduction. The business is not writing for magazine publication. Keep To The Point.

2. Start the article by highlighting a problem, and then promise to solve the problem.

3. Break the article into easy to `skim' sections. Each section shouldn't just tell someone how to do something, it should show them HOW to do it.

4. End on a positive point that encourages the reader to move on to the next article. While it might be nice to have people click the link- it never happens. In fact, articles that end with a `hard sell' and try to steal the reader, are often overlooked by newsletter publishers who want the visitor to buy from their site.

This section `Build an Article' is an example of showing people HOW to write a good article.

Example of Telling people WHAT needs to be done: You need to build good web articles that solve problems the reader will face.

Pro Active Marketing

After a few months go to Google or Yahoo and search the article titles. Find out who is using the content, and why. Thy to gear future articles to favour the products sold on those web pages.

Another good idea is to contact the webmaster and ask them if they would like to receive a free article each month.

Many will love the time saving idea.

Taking control of the article distribution will also give writers the opportunity to embed their link in the article using keywords. This creates an executive link, which is given a higher rank by the search engines.

Happy hunting - <bio>Mark Walters is a third generation entrepreneur and author.
There are many powerful and strong marketing tools that you can use for your wellness industry home business. The key to any home business is to develop a strong relationship with your clients and customers. You do not have a business if there is no one using your services or products. One very powerful marketing tool for the wellness industry is a newsletter. You can use a newsletter for your wellness industry home business to help it grow and prosper.

The first step for a newsletter is to determine your niche. What will be the primary focus or theme of your newsletter? For example, if you sell herbal supplements, your newsletter could be all about alternative herbal supplements. You want your newsletter to compliment whatever service of product that you are selling.

Next, you will need to find a good writer for your newsletter. Not everyone that has a home business knows how to writes articles. Even if you do know how to write articles, there are only so many hours in the day to get everything done for your home business. If you can find a reputable writer to provide content for your newsletter it will make your life much simpler.

Now that you have the topic for your newsletter and a writer, you will need someone that is actually going to read the newsletter. You can go to various electronic magazine sites and newsletter sites on the internet and list your newsletter. Many people go to these sites to find groups that they can subscribe to for their personal and professional reading needs.

If you can manage it, do not charge for your newsletter. There are so many in the wellness industry that are free, therefore you will significantly reduce your readership if there is a fee for you newsletter. You should eventually make enough profit from the newsletter alone to help pay for the cost of a writer and any other small expenses for operating it.

Creating a small website that is specifically for the newsletter. You do not want to put anything else on the website at all except issues of the newsletter. The issues will contain your content and the advertisements that are in the newsletter. Put the two most recent newsletters with only partial content, the rest of the newsletters you will put with the full content and list as archives. The partial current content will encourage page visitors to subscribe to find out the rest of the article.

Have a convenient place for people to sign up for the newsletter. If you have an ecommerce website, make sure that people can sign up for the newsletter from that site as well. You will want to put a link to the newsletter site so that visitors can see a sample of what will be provided. You can also list your newsletter with your local libraries, colleges, and community centers. Some small businesses will allow you to leave copies of the newsletter with them as well.

Make certain to provide a quality newsletter that is full of interesting information that readers will enjoy. In the side bars of the newsletter you can advertise your products. A natural result is that you will start picking up new customers on a monthly basis from the newsletter alone. <bio>Zach Thompson is a Glyconutrients Representative.
The name of the game here is content. Content is so vitally important to your online business. The truth of the matter is, content can enhance and build your business profits more than any available resource or service available.

Following are 5 good strategies that you can use starting right now to help build your traffic, subscribers and customers:

1. Search Engine Rank =96 By posting articles and content that are keyword rich the number of daily visitors will increase thus boosting your search engine ranking. So if for instance your business has a focus on work at home opportunities, offering products and services related to affiliate or network marketing, posting affiliate and network marketing articles and content will lure an unbelievable amount of possible customers to your site.

2. Special Reports =96 Exponentially increase the number of subscribers to your newsletter by offering them "special reports" as a bonus just for subscribing. Give these bonuses away free of charge to attract more people. It is a known fact that people love to receive something of value for free. Your results will increase when you give away something they want for free.

3. Automated Money Machine =96 Create an automatic cash flow system by using an autoresponder and a short email training course with related affiliate links included in the course.

Training courses have proven to be superb bonuses for new subscribers to your newsletter.

4. Relationship Email List =96 "There is money in the list." You have more than likely heard this phrase before. This pertains to building an email list of people who have an interest in the subject niche of your website or newsletter and are willing to purchase products you suggest to them. It has everything to do with establishing a trusting relationship with your subscribers.

By sending informative related articles (content) to your email list on a regular basis you will be establishing yourself as a "guru" of your subject area. Because of this, your subscribers will be more than willing to take advantage of the paid products you have to offer.

Rule of thumb: Never take advantage of your email list. Never offer them something of inadequate quality just in hopes of making a quick buck. For one, they do not deserve that kind of disrespect and two, you will ruin the good relationship you have with them.

5. Articles =96 Submitting articles to "content hungry" newsletter/ezine publishers and websites with your resource box attached is another fantastic way to generate free traffic. A resource box is a small bio about you and/or your website which includes your site link. This bio can be anywhere from 3 to 6 lines in length.

Articles are always in demand by newsletter publishers. You can make the search for content for these publications by submitting your articles to them with your short bio attached in the form of a resource box. Even one article can go a long way to reach thousands of individuals. Some online newsletter publications have subscriber bases of 20,000 plus. Just think of the possibilities of your article with your resource box being seen by that many people. This is why articles are so potent in generating traffic and profits for you.

There it is, not 1, not 2 but 5 good strategies you can implement starting right now to boost your traffic and profits as if they were on steroids. Don't overlook the power of these techniques. Just put them into good practice consistently and I guarantee over time more people will be beating down your door for what you have to offer than you ever thought possible. <bio>Tried Network Marketing before and failed?
Article marketing is a relatively new addition to the search engine optimization world but the number of people that are taking part is growing every day. Of course, the number triples all the time because there are authors, article directory owners, as well as web publishers all involved in this search engine optimization technique. As time goes on and page ranks rise, article marketing will only become more popular. Everyone involved in this type of marketing sees the ability to profit and thrive just doing what he or she do best, so why wouldn't it become more popular?

The Bottom Line More and more people are getting into article marketing for one very simple reason: it works. Web publishes are finally learning that achieving a good page rank is not just based on the number and quality of links instead it is based on quality links and quality content. Authors are finding that they can make a lot of money providing content to the web publishers that are constantly hungry for more content. Additionally, the article directory owners find that they are often a necessary middleman between publisher and author.

Article Directory Article directories work a lot like phone books, they provide all of the facts in a very up front way. Web publishers can come and browse through the articles and decide which ones they would like to have posted on their website. This works for the article directory because formatted into the article code are links to the article directory. Every time the article is posted on another website it creates another link for the article directory, securing their page rank and even boosting it a bit. The article directory owner can earn a bit of money by charging a small fee for each article or can just enjoy a great page rank!

The Publishers More and more web publishers are getting into article marketing because they need to increase their page rank and overall visibility. Article marketing is attractive to web publishers because it allows them to put high quality content on their website which is a requirement for a good page rank. Not only does the content provide the website with more credibility, but the links to the article directory do as well since they usually have good page ranks.

The Authors Authors are attracted to article marketing because it can get them a lot of exposure. Many writers find that they can write on many different subjects and submit all of them to an article directory. Because they write on a variety of subjects they get exposure in a variety of markets. Authors often benefit because the web publishers are given their personal information and website through the resource box. Many web publishers actually contact the author directly to contract them for further work, eliminating the need for the article directory for both the publisher and the author. With so many web publishers seeking high quality content, authors can stay in business as long as they can continue to provide high quality content.

As you can see, there are a lot of reasons for a lot of people to become involved with article marketing. The process simply works for a good deal of people and what they are trying to achieve professionally. As long as high quality content is needed to secure a good page rank, you will find that it will continue to grow in popularity. <bio>Jonathan White has been involved in article and other online marketing for over 4 years.
You may have seen the term Private Label Rights or PLR articles being tossed around frequently lately. PLR articles are articles you can buy (usually in packages or as part of a membership) that you may edit and use as you wish. Unlike free reprint articles, you are not required to link back to anyone else's website which makes them appealing to many web publishers.

Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are appealing. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their websites. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR articles than that?

1. Add them to your blog. Similar to adding PLR articles to your website, you can take excerpts and use them on your blog for fresh content. Whether you take a portion and use it as a "tip of the day" or use the entire article, PLR articles can be a huge time saver for you.

2. Send them in your newsletter. Need content for your newsletter? PLR articles are an option. Of course, if you're developing a relationship with your readers, you may wish to edit the articles to make them your own voice. However, you can pull a section from a PLR article -- use it as inspiration -- and whip out a newsletter in minutes.

3. Start an ecourse If you purchase a package of PLR articles based on a theme, it's quite easy to turn them into an ecourse simply by adding them to your autoresponder. Something as simple as "Five Ideas for Kids Lunches" can become a 5 day ecourse to grow a big newsletter list.

4. Use them in your podcast Take a PLR article and use it as inspiration for a podcast. Add the content and you're done.

5. Send them in a print mailing Direct mailing is huge. If you have a list of postal mailing addresses, put together a free report from PLR articles and send it out.

6. Create a special report Simply bulk together some PLR articles that have the same topic, and make them flow into a special report. Turn it into a pdf file and give it away to your website visitors.

See how easy that is? The only hard part is finding a PLR service that is high quality and fits your niche. Look around. Make sure the PLR package or membership you choose provides you with high quality articles so you can create something you'll be proud of. <bio>Nicole Dean is the co-owner of http://www.EasyPLR.com -- where you'll find high-quality PLR articles on niches sold in very limited quantities.
All newsletters are not created equal. In that same vein, neither are newsletter editors. Some have apparently forgotten the 'news' aspect of a newsletter. Instead, they bombard their poor, unsuspecting subscribers with a non-stop barrage of sales pitches, affiliate promotions and the next big product launch.

As a newsletter editor, you have a responsibility to those people on your list. In many cases, your newsletter is the only contact you have with them. You owe it to your subscribers to provide them with actual news, real advice, and helpful tips they can use.

When you come across something that you genuinely believe will benefit them or their business, of course it's reasonable to expect that you would want to share it. But that needs to be the exception, not the rule.

I know, as a newsletter editor, you want your subscribers not only to read your newsletter, but to actually look forward to receiving it. And they will, if your newsletter is conversational, easy to read and you've shown them that not every issue is a thinly disguised sales pitch.

Getting newsletter subscribers is not as easy task. Keeping them is even more difficult and that's the true measure of how successful you are as a newsletter editor.

One of the most recommended ways of assuring that your subscribers remain on your list is to write as though you were talking directly to each individual, instead of a list of thousands.

Let your personality show through and allow your words to flow across the screen just like they would if you were sitting across the table from a friend.

Another way to insure that your list stays loyal is to frequently put yourself in their place as you proofread your final draft. Do you find it interesting reading? If you do, chances are they will too. Don't be afraid to share personal stories from time to time. It will make you seem more like a 'real person' to someone who's never met you.

Writing your newsletter doesn't have to be a dreaded chore. There are many tools available to make the job of a newsletter editor a little easier. One such tool, Ziney Pro, actually helps make the creation of your newsletter more time efficient by providing a data base of ready-made headlines and push-button formatting. Using software tools designed with newsletter editors in mind can shave hours off your preparation time.

Take your role as a newsletter editor seriously and treat your subscribers the way you would want to be treated. Your list will grow, your readers will always be eager to hear from you, and your unsubscribes will be few. As a newsletter editor, isn't that exactly what you want? <bio>What makes a good newsletter editor? Kenth andquot; The Designerandquot; Nasstrom has created Ziney Pro as an answer to that question!
Ezine's are very useful in getting you that all important traffic but not everybody knows how exactly to create their newsletter.

You can start looking for Ezine building software on different search engines but the only thing you will get is a headache. The fact is that you will get so many results on so many different programs that you will simply not know witch one to choose. Also you must look for the best one that suits your budget and needs.

I'll present to you the top 3 newsletter tools in my opinion.

One of the best website design software programs out there is Dreamweaver. It uses HTML so it is a very good HTML newsletter building program.

You can build and maintain your newsletter with it and create and improve your website -in my opinion is one of the best. It is a program that brings professionalism to your newsletter and website and because it comes with tutorials making it very easy to master.

You could try to use FrontPage but if you will make a comparison between FrontPage and Dreamweaver you will see that the second one is the best choice of the two. Also the fact that you can get free HTML newsletter templates that you can use and look very professional can save you a lot of time and trouble.

If you are looking for a free HTML editing software then you should look at Nvu. It is a very good HTML editor that comes with many of the features that a paid software comes with. Also the HTML pages you design look the same no matter the Internet browser or screen resolution. In other words the way your page looks in the program is the way it will look online.

Using this program you can easily create your HTML newsletter and you won't have to worry about it looking different on other computers.

Now that you have the software that can help you create your newsletter you will need a newsletter publishing software. You will need this because it is practically impossible for you to send your newsletter one by one to the entire subscribers list.

This is when a newsletter publishing software will help you. The only thing you will have to do is press the Send button.

There are different kind of newsletter publishing programs. Some are based on your computer and depending on the speed of your Internet connection and your PC it might take a few hours to send all your newsletter to the entire list.

There are also online publishing tools that are web-based and because they use the server's speed to send your newsletter it might take only a few minutes to do this.

Today you found out about a few programs that can help you create and maintain you Ezine. Of course there are a lot more so if you like you can start looking for the best newsletter publishing program that suits you. <bio>Don't buy any "learn internet marketing" program because we give you better quality info for free.
Everyone who has an interest in selling ebooks on-line has questions. How do I promote my ebook? How do I construct a good sales page. How can I use AdWords effectively? How can I learn about joint ventures? How will I drive traffic to my site? How can I generate a mailing list? The list goes on and on.

It can be expensive to buy the information you want on-line. Sure, you can find ebooks explaining almost everything you want to know, but the good ebooks dealing with Internet marketing can run from $37-$97 a whack. Your goal is to make money on line, not to spend it. But there are ways to get the very best information about any question you may have about selling ebooks completely free.

I'll give you two ways here to pick the brains of the experts and not spend a dime!

Method 1: Start out by visiting sites dealing with topics you need to learn more about. Visit sites that sell ebooks related to the topic in question. First, this will give you a good idea of how competing publishers are designing their sales pages. You can learn a lot from this.

Anyway, the successful publishers will certainly be good at collecting information from visitors at their sites. They will have squeeze pages set up asking you for your name and email address in exchange for their newsletter, mini-course, or free downloadable file. Remember, even a very good pitch page for an ebook may convert only 2-3% of first time visitors into buyers. But ebook publishers know that if they can collect names and e-mails from, say, 20% of their visitors--they can follow up via e-mail with special offers or bonuses to encourage their list names to buy later down the road. The real money in selling ebooks on-line is in working the lists!

But visitors don't give up their information easily. You must offer them something of genuine perceived value to get them to do this. So the big guys offer some pretty amazing stuff in order to get people to subscribe to their newsletter. They often give out free video tutorials, mini-courses, reports--things like that.

I can tell you that they very best information related to Internet marketing I have ever received has been TOTALLY FREE from ebook publishers. Guys like Mike Filsaime, Jeff Johnson, Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon at Stompernet, and Michael Rasmussen regularly give away more quality free stuff from their sites than you could get buying dozens of $97 ebooks on the same topics.

They do this to 1.) get your name on their mailing list, and 2.) provide you with good quality material to build a relationship (this is a key) with you and make you a believer in the value of their expertise. If you aren't familiar with the guys I mentioned above you need to Google them up and learn from them. Read every word they write and subscribe to their newsletters and mini-courses. They are the very best in the business!

Method 2: Right now you are reading a free article and you are getting some good tips. But here is the thing: Many of the big boys in the ebook publishing business regularly submit articles to directories to increase their brand awareness and products to tons of readers.

I would suggest going back and searching for old articles written by publishers of ebooks similar to yours. Often their very best articles are the very first ones they wrote. In their early articles these authors try very hard to provide valuable information and convince you that they are an expert in their field. As time goes by they often write articles with a little less meat in them, so I always advice searching for their very earliest articles to read. You will not be disappointed!

And once you get some expertise in your area, consider writing and submitting articles of your own. Submit them to directories just like this one. It is an excellent way to create exposure and awareness of your products to large audiences!<bio>Mike McMillan has written over 40 nonfiction books and e-books.
Whatever we buy, we all like to get the best best deals possible. Buying information on-line is no exception. While most works of fiction sold on-line are fairly inexpensive, a lot of "how-to" nonfiction works are relatively expensive. In this article we will look at how to get the very best deals when buying information on-line.

Let's first analyze how ebooks are sold on-line. Usually the author or publisher will set up a pitch page they use to advertise their books on. They explain the benefits to the site visitors and hopefully a purchase is made. But if you have ever browsed through books offered through CB or PayDotCom, you will find that quite often when you decide to leave a sales page--something often happens.

Most of the very best ebook sellers will employ the use of a virtual sales agent to encourage people trying to leave a site to reconsider buying the product being sold. What happens is when you go and click the button to either go back on your browser window--or you try to close the browser window--a dialog box pops up and offers you a discount if you will buy now. This represents the author's last ditch attempt to generate a sale.

There is almost always a picture of an attractive young woman in the dialog box and you will see text typing into the dialog window. It's as if a live operator is talking to you. Of course it isn't a live person, it's a script running that simulates a live conversation though. Usually a ten to twenty dollar discount is offered if you stay on the page and order immediately. This isn't always done, but it's done regularly enough that if you want an ebook, you should eive the following techniques a shot and get it for the lowest possible price.

The two most common services used to create these virtual agent chats are Intellichat and Virtual Smart Agent. They function similarly.

Whenever I visit a site and want to buy an ebook, I click to close the window to see of one of these virtual agents pops up and offers me a discount. As I said, it's not uncommon to get a $10 discount on even lower-priced ebooks.

But what if a virtual agent dialog doesn't come up when you exit a site? You still may have a good shot at getting a discount. If the site offering the ebook offers a newsletter, make sure to sign up for it. It is not uncommon for publishers to discount their price from time to time to their newsletter subscribers. If you don't mind waiting a week or two, just be patient and see if any discount offers are offered in the newsletters put out by the publisher of the book you are interested in.

I would also subscribe to every newsletter you can find which is offered by competing sites. Often publishers within a niche will joint venture together and promote each other's book in their newsletters. You can often find discounts for ebooks in the newsletters of competing web sites.

These two techniqes will work and often the discounts will be significant.<bio>Mike McMillan has written over 40 nonfiction books and e-books.
It is difficult to break into the publishing industry as a new author, and even more difficult to get an acceptance letter from an editor at a large publishing house. As an author you will work hard to finish your book, and work even harder to find the right book publisher. The good news is you can tap into several types of publishers to publish your book. Here is a look at some common types of book publishing.

GROUP PUBLISHING: Group publishing is the process by which a large company publishes your work in the name of a larger company. For example, large publishing companies often operate smaller publishing companies. The larger publishing company serves as an umbrella over the smaller group publishing companies. Sometimes these companies operate several smaller companies and book imprints that produce different genres of writing and books. Sometimes this is referred to trade publishing. For example, a large publishing group may produce best-selling adult novels, but may also operate under a smaller name to produce certain non-fiction books, cookbooks, children's books, or niche titles. Group publishing is a popular way to publish a book.

EDUCATIONAL PUBLISHING: Educational publishing shares some likeness to trade publishing. These companies deal specifically with educational material. They may deal with only college textbooks, or they might deal with textbooks and materials for grades K-12. Besides textbooks, these companies might also produce other forms of educational material, which include posters, workbooks, CD-ROMS, software, testing material and maps. There are several big name educational publishing companies.

UNIVERSITY PUBLISHING: Better known as the "University Press," this type of publishing is different from group publishing and it is not the same as scholarly publishing. These types of companies are usually non-profit. Universities, colleges and sometimes museums or other organizations operate these publishing imprints. These publishers usually publish books by scholars and other specialists. Besides distributing their books to bookstores, they also make their book titles available within the university system. Sometimes larger trade publishers publish these types of books.

INDEPENDENT PUBLISHING: Independent publishers are often the best way to publish your book with established distribution channels. Independent publishers are generally small, privately-owned companies. Many times, these companies only publish a handful of books each year and they specialize in certain subjects. They have the freedom to publish just about anything they wish.

SOFTWARE and other MEDIA: You might consider software and other types of media as a publishing option. Think about the many e-books, CD-ROMs and digital downloads, many published by large and small publishing companies. These types of publishing companies are often associated with larger trade publishers. In fact, many large publishing companies have their own in-house media publisher to spawn the traditional paperback book into other types of media. Digital and alternate media is a huge, profitable business, and these publishers are just as important and lucrative as the large trade publishers.

As you can see, you can tap into various publishers who might consider publishing your book. If you are unlucky with a large trade publisher or group publisher, then don't give up. Keep looking at the different types of publishing companies until you find one that wants to work with you and your book. <bio>Learn how to become a published book author!
The task of getting published is one of the daunting aspects of writing. This can be difficult, if you want to get published by a traditional publishing house. It's not as difficult if you want to self-publish. In this article I will share with you the steps involved in getting your work published either traditionally or through self-publishing.

Mainstream publishers are often reluctant to accept work from young writers as anyone under 18 cannot sign a contract on their own and will require parental involvement. That is not to say you cannot submit to them but make sure your work is of high quality as you will be competing with adult writers. There are also several publishers that cater specifically to young writers, for a list of these, check out the book THE YOUNG WRITER'S GUIDE TO GETTING PUBLISHED. There are also several sites on the web that accept work from young writers such as <a href="http://stonesoup.com" >http://stonesoup.com and Merlyn's pen. Make sure you edit your work thoroughly and follow the submission guidelines for publishers carefully. Some publishers prefer that you send a query letter only at first describing your project. The query letter should be only one page long. If it is longer than that a busy editor will likely just throw it to one side. Think of the back cover summary you see on most books you buy, try to summarize what your book is about in a few words. This can be difficult but it must be done and done in a way that grabs an editor's attention. Some publishers will allow you to submit a query letter and a few chapters of your work or your entire book. It is important that you use the correct font, you can't go wrong with courier new 12 pt and a double spaced manuscript. The query letter can use the same font but there is no need to double space it.

Let's now take a look at self publishing. Self publishing has become quite easy with the advent of self publishers like Lulu. At http://lulu.com you can publish your work for free. However lulu does take a small commission of anything you sell. Lulu also sells ISBN's for around $100 U.S. dollars. An ISBN will make your book available for international sale. It will become available to places like http://Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and hundreds of other distributors worldwide. When you self publish you set your own price and your age never becomes a factor as it will be with some traditional publishers. If you decide to self publish everything falls into your hands, from editing to formatting. Lulu provides several services for these publishing details, however the costs can add up for young writers. The good news is that with patience and determination you can do it yourself. Lulu provides templates for formatting your book. If you can find a teacher, friend or parent to help you with editing you are well on your way without breaking the bank. Lulu makes making your book cover as easy as possible although you are responsible for finding your own image if you do not wish to use their images.

Finally, there is nothing like seeing your work in print and the opportunities for young writers are greater than ever. <bio>Simone Mary is a teacher, writer and artist.
