All you wrestling fans out there who aren't quite sure what to do for their next vacation should plan a visit to Oklahoma City. That's because the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Oklahoma City and it is a must see for anyone who enjoys wrestling. Here you will learn about wrestling's past, its present, and the plans for the future.

It is such an educational trip not to mention enjoyable that individuals who aren't that big on wrestling will probably even enjoy it. There really is a lot to learn because the sport of wrestling did not begin with the WWF - WWE. Instead, the sport had a much more modest beginning and the museum celebrates this as well as all the leaps and bounds the sport has made in popularity since.

When you head to the museum make sure you plan on arriving Monday through Friday 9 am until 4:30 pm or else by appointment on the weekends. Within the Museum you will see the Paul K. Scott Museum of Wrestling History, the John T. Vaughan Hall of Honors, Gable/Smith Room, FILA International Hall of Fame, William S. Heins Jr. Library, Cliff Keen Theater, as well as others. You will learn so much about wrestling that you never knew before when you visit the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

When you visit Oklahoma City you will also find many other things to enjoy. You can play golf, go shopping, enjoy seeing professional sports games, and even more. Oklahoma City is the most populous city in the state of Oklahoma so there are lots of things for tourists to do and see here. You will love the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum as well as everything else there is to see and do.

There is a website that has great information on USA Vacations and Unique Travel Spots Listed State By State and Season, the website is called: Seasonal Vacation Spots, and can be found at this url:

http://www.seasonalvacationspots.com

By Robert W.
What is NASCAR? It stands for National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. They are a sanctioning body that evaluates the various stock car racing in the US. NASCAR is one of the most popular sports today in the US. One of the reasons why its popularity boomed is because of media exposure. The top three racing series the association sanctions are the Craftsman Truck Series, Nationwide Series, and Sprint Cup.

The sport has also made celebrities out of their car drivers. Among the most famous riders NASCAR has is Dale Earnhardt Jr. He started his car-racing career at the young age of 17. Now he races in the Sprint Cup Series. His father conquered this same series in his years. For five consecutive years, he received the NASCAR Most Popular Driver award from 2003 to 2007. Fans are responsible for choosing the recipient for this award.

You can say that racing is in the blood of Earnhardt Jr. He has close relatives who are also driving other racing series. Others have business related to NASCAR. One of the most noted Earnhardt is Ralph, his grandfather. He started a long lineage of car racers in his family.

Ralph Earnhardt is a legend in the sport. He won his only NASCAR Sportsmanship Award in 1956. However, various groups in the industry have recognized his contributions. National Motorsports Press Association inducted him to the Hall of Fame in 1989. In 1997, the International Motorsports Hall of Fame did the same. The Oceanside Rotary Club of Daytona Beach Stock Car Racing Hall of Fame inducted him in 2004. Finally, in 2007, National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame inducted him.

Dale's father, Ralph's son also became a racecar driver. Ralph wanted his son to take on a different path. However, Dale Sr. was determined to follow into his father's footsteps. He dropped out from school and pursued his dream.

He became successful in the Winston Cup Series, now known as the Sprint Cup. In 1979, he became the Rookie of the Year for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He became a champion in the series for seven years. The Motorsports Hall of Fame inducted him in 2002. In addition, the International Motorsports hall of Fame inducted him in 2006.

It was evident that someone from his kids would assume his role. As it turned out, he did not only influence Dale Earnhardt Jr. but his other oldest son Kerry Dale as well. Although Kerry did not spend a lot of time with his father while he was growing up, he ended up doing the sport his father loved. Racing is probably strong in Earnhardt blood, because his son, Jeffrey, also began racing in 2007.

Jeffrey Earnhardt was impressive at Wythe Raceway, Hornet Division. Here, he won the Rookie of the Year award. He also made it to the General Motors' search for the next best thing in the car-racing field. In 2007, he competed in the Busch East Series where he placed fifth. By the end of the season, he won the Most Popular Driver award.<bio>Rick Grantham is an expert on sports equipment, specially on Dale Earnhardt Jr Merchandise for more information on NASCAR Merchandise, visit BooYah Village.</bio>

NFL greats Troy Aikman and the late Reggie White headlined a full class of six inductees into this year's Pro Football Hall of Fame that was announced last February. It was called the most emotional announcement of a Pro Football Hall of Fame class in history. The formal induction ceremony of the class into the Hall of Fame will be on August 5.

The other members of this year's class are Harry Carson, John Madden, Warren Moon and Rayfield Wright. With six people being inducted this year, this class is also the biggest ever inducted since 2001.

Aikman was once renowned as the NFL's golden boy and one of the greatest quarterbacks of his era. He led the Dallas Cowboys to three Super Bowl titles in the 1990s. Today, Aikman is a television sportscaster for the Fox network and a joint owner of the NASCAR Nextel Cup racing team, Hall of Fame Racing, along with fellow former Cowboys quarterback, Roger Staubach.

White, nicknamed the andquot;Minister of Defense, andquot; was one of football's most prolific sackers ever, either in college, the USFL and the NFL.. White also earned his nickname as reference to his Evangelical Christian ordination. He died suddenly in 2004 after suffering a fatal cardiac arrhythmia caused by the sarcoidosis he had lived with for years. During the 2005 season, three teams retired White's number 92 jersey.

Moon became the first African-American quarterback to ever be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Before him, no other African-American quarterback even got close to induction. Aikman and Moon followed Dan Marino, Steve Young and John Elway in a string of great quarterbacks to make the Hall in their first tries.

andquot;To be the first African-American quarterback into the Hall of Fame, all African-American QBs who played before me should share in this,andquot; Moon said. andquot;I don't want to make this a racial thing, but I think it is significant. It shows that we have arrived at the pinnacle of our sport.andquot;

And, of course, there is Madden, the coach-broadcaster-video game entrepreneur who holds the record for the best winning percentage of any NFL coach with 100 victories (.759). He coached the Oakland Raiders for 10 years and won the 1977 Super Bowl. <bio>Jonathon Hardcastle writes articles for http://footballorbust.com/ - In addition, Jonathon also writes articles for http://igolfcentral.net/ and http://universeofentertainment.com/ </bio>

andquot;Get over there, andquot; my friend Nan said with a shove.

I won't. I can't go, I thought, then recoiled. I set down my tea, put the book back into my black tote bag and zipped it shut. She'd never, I mean why would she?andquot;

andquot;Just come on, will you?andquot; Nan said so... well, so confidently. Oh yeah, that's right. I'm the journalist here.

I straightened by back, fumbled for the paperback and walked over to greet Nan. Yes, living life at the marrow, that's what I'd promised myself. It's my favorite quote from Thoreau's Walden: Life isn't worth living unless you can live it at the marrow. And I was doing it. Although, I could begin tomorrow... andquot;Hurry up!andquot;

Okay, now I'm nervous, tightly gripping my dog-eared and yellowed copy of First Lady From Plains with anticipation. In the other hand a pen, damp with perspiration. andquot;Are you sure? Do you think she'll mind?andquot;

andquot;Get over there next to her and I'll take your picture.andquot;

I looked up. Yes, there I was standing right next to her; the former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. I was. I swear. (You can see me here: www.lauramturner.com) I'd been invited to the National Women's Hall Of Fame annual induction luncheon in Seneca Falls, New York. The best credential I'd ever earned working as a journalist. Just to be on the beat was an accomplishment, I promise you.

The Women's Hall pays tribute to females of experience, women of power, persuasion. Women from the likes of Oprah, to legends passed such as suffragist Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks and literary giants like Willa Cather and Eudora Welty. These Great Ladies, all two hundred seventeen of them, line the walls of the National Women's Hall. Accomplished women. Women who dared. Women who live life at the marrow.

andquot;Oh! Hello. Good afternoon, Mrs. Carter, andquot; I stammered. andquot;Congratulations on your induction, and your accomplishments, andquot; I paused. andquot;Oh and would you mind very much signing my book. Would you? Oh and my name's Laura, by the way.andquot; I swallowed hard. Smooth, right? I finally get to meet The First Lady From Plains and there's no place at all to buy a vowel.

Rosalynn Carter extended her hand. I placed the pen in her grip and gazed at her like a child opening a pop-up storybook and watching the pictures come to life. andquot;Pleased to meet you, andquot; she said.

She signed, then placed the volume and pen back into my hands. Snap!

andquot;Thank you, andquot; I said smoothing the glossy cover. Nan and I returned to our seats. The former First Lady returned to her seat. And the chicken salad was served.

About The National Women's Hall Of Fame (Reference: http://www.greatwomen.org/mission.php):

andquot; In 1969, a group of women and men of Seneca Falls created the National Women's Hall of Fame, believing that the contribution of American women deserved a permanent home in the small village where it all began. The Hall is home to exhibits, artifacts of historical interest, a research library and office. The National Women's Hall of Fame, a national membership organization, holds as its mission:

'To honor in perpetuity these women, citizens of the United States of America whose contributions to the arts, athletics, business, education, government, the humanities, philanthropy and science, have been the greatest value for the development of their country.' (Copyright 2006 National Women's Hall Of Fame)

The Hall is a shrine to some of the greatest women in the history of this country and a tribute that grows annually with each induction ceremony as we learn to appreciate more about the wonderful contributions that women make to our civilization.andquot;

To take the online tour or to learn more about the National Women's Hall of Fame, visit their website http://www.greatwomen.org <bio>Laura M.
Basketball is becoming one of the favorite sports of people all throughout the globe. Unlike other sports, basketball is relatively easy to understand. The popularity of the sport led to the formation of the Basketball Hall of Fame. The honor is given to those who have made exceptional contribution to the sport.
One significant character who has been given such honor is Robert Allen McAdoo. His induction in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame happened in 2000.

Before he joined the NBA, McAdoo attended Vincennes Junior College and the University of North Carolina. He already played for the two schools back then. McAdoo led the Tar Heels in the National semifinals. However, they lost to the Florida State.

He qualified for the 1972 NBA draft. He started his career in the National Basketball Association in 1972 when the Buffalo Braves drafted him. He stayed with the team, now the Los Angeles Clippers, for five years until 1977. When he joined the league, he made his presence known by winning the Rookie of the Year award in 1973. He also won the Most Valuable Player award in 1975. He made the NBA All-Star five consecutive times from 1974 to 1978.

During his first few years, he became one of the best big men shooters in the league. In his second season in the NBA, he bagged three shooting titles. In the mid seventies, many basketball enthusiasts would name him as the fastest big man who ever played in the NBA.

However, there were also some down moments in his career. He was injured several times and fans and experts felt that he had only given a mediocre performance.

Many thought that his time has ended in the mid seventies. Many blame this to the other teams he joined. Most of the teams that welcomed him were not among the dominant teams at that time. He played for the New York Knicks after leaving the Braves in 1977. He played for the Boston Celtics in 1979. After that, he played for the Detroit Pistons and New Jersey Nets in 1980 and 1981 respectively.

However, it was not until he joined the LA Lakers that he tasted what it felt like to win NBA titles. He played for the Lakers from 1981 to 1985. Together with other great players, the team earned two NBA titles, one in 1982 and the other in 1985.

After great seasons with the Lakers, he joined the Philadelphia 76ers and played there for a year.
It has been rumored for some time that professional wrestling is not real but after viewing a professional wrestling match personally, there are many people who have had their opinion's altered or changed completely. The blood and gore that occurs during professional wrestling matches is very real and there are many doctor and hospital bills that can be verified to prove it those that are left doubting.

Since professional wrestling is centered on being a family entertainment venue, there is a considerable amount of censorship that takes place to quieting the actions that professional wrestlers take when they are in the ring on any given night. Every professional wrestler establishes a persona that is angled toward increasing public appeal in the sport and in the wrestler. All of the outrageous antics that a wrestler comes up with while training for matches from week to week to meant to gain a wider viewing audience.

All of these antics are meant to be a method of showmanship but there are times when the antics get out of hand and injuries occur where none were intended. The had hitting action that occurs in the ring is done in a pre-rehearsed skit that is meant to earn the professional wrestler a following of fans who grow to admire the way the professional wrestler handles themselves in the ring. When physical damage occurs to another wrestler at some point during the time in the ring, it almost guarantees that the two wrestlers will develop bad blood toward the other and revenge tactics are sure to follow in the very near future.

Other wrestlers might enter the ring when a wrestling match turns ugly. These professional wrestlers are viewed as the bad guys by the audience and are also viewed by the crowd during professional wrestling matches to be men that do not have a sense of honor. Anything could happen when they enter the ring because some of the wrestling moves that they choose to use are not sanctioned by any wrestling organization. The bad wrestlers show up in the ring just to add the the mayhem that is already in progress during the match.

A wrestling fan should expect to see many unsavory tactics used by these individuals when they are enjoying a professional wrestling match. It is not uncommon for these wrestlers to use any item available to get their point of displeasure across. Some professional wrestlers will incur many injuries during their time in the ring. At any time, they know they can become victims of assault by another wrestler. Being bashed in the back with steel chairs is a common tactic among wrestlers with no honor. Some relish in the reality of being able to toss a wrestler over the top rope without fearing any reprisals for slamming the wrestler into the arena floor.

Fans will certainly be exposed to a lot of violent behavior while viewing a professional wrestling match. The violence is what people seek when they buy their tickets and professional wrestlers do not have any plans that will disappoint those that expect the worst to happen on any night that a wrestling match is scheduled. Some wrestling fans will pay to view an ungodly amount of physical damage that is doled out to a wrestler during a match for a championship belt and the fans will look forward to seeing how that wrestler will retaliate after they lose the match. <bio>James Brown writes about http://www.sportposterdecorations.com </bio>

In the early 1950's a Cleveland disc jockey named Alan Freed coined the term "rock and roll" and a new musical and cultural movement started. It is fitting that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame now thrives in Cleveland, offering visitors and students a chance to learn more about the music that has helped to shape the culture of today. Here is a brief guide of this outstanding attraction's offerings.

Located on Cleveland's lakefront on Lake Erie, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is dedicated to exploring the past, present and future of contemporary music. The museum continually augments its own collection of thousands of artifacts with items on loan from artists and collectors from around the world. More than 55,000 square-feet of exhibition space, as well as administrative offices, the Museum Store and a café are also located on the grounds.

More than 6,000,000 visitors have toured the museum since its September 1995 opening.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a 150,000 square-foot building which utilizes film, video, interactive kiosks and, of course, music. Its Outdoor Plaza spans 65,000 square feet and its exhibition area covers 55,000 square feet. It is the world's first museum dedicated to the living heritage of rock and roll music.

The museum houses intimate performance spaces, as well as a rotating display of artifact and costumes from the museum's permanent collection. Specific eras, styles and milestones are showcased, highlighting the many facets of rock and roll's evolution.

Exhibits are designed to provide the visitor with a unique, interactive experience. The collection of artifacts and costumes is enhanced by the combination of state-of-the-art technology and innovative film and video. The Museum offers a comprehensive retrospective on rock and roll's origins, development, legends and immense impact on global culture.

Visitors are taken on a fast-paced journey through the history of rock and roll music, from one-hit wonders to legendary inductees, from its roots in gospel, country and blues to the important local music scenes in such cities as Memphis, Detroit and San Francisco.

Some displays are devoted to the pioneering rock and roll artists of the Fifties, the soul artists of the Sixties, the political protests against rock and roll and interplay between fashion and rock.

The programs include a variety of educational and cultural events, including a series of year-round concerts. The Hall of Fame series features evenings with Rock Hall Inductees. There are educational programs for everyone from toddlers to students, to teachers and adults in general.

The building was designed by the internationally renowned architect I.M. Pei. A striking state-of-the-art facility that rises above the shores of Lake Erie, its composition features bold geometric forms and dynamic cantilevered spaces that are anchored by a 162-foot tower. The tower supports a dual-triangular-shaped glass "tent" that extends (at its base) onto a 65,000 square-foot plaza, providing a dramatic main entry facade.

I.M. Pei, one of the world's most famous architects, also designed the National Gallery of Art's East Building in Washington, DC, the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, the Museum of Modern Art in Athens, and the expansion of the Louvre in Paris, among many other buildings around the world.

The Hall of Fame's visiting hours are: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily (open until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays). It is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. From Memorial

Day to Labor Day, the Museum is also open until 9 p.m. on Saturdays.

If you are interested in student group travel within the Midwest, then the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should be on your list of "must see" destinations. It will certainly be a "big hit" with your students.<bio>Travel Adventures is a student tour provider staffed by educators who understand the needs of teachers.
The Spurs is the only major professional sports team that calls the city of San Antonio their home. For this special honor, the residents of San Antonio shower their "boys" with praise and attention. In return, the Spurs team delivers an entertaining season and also gives back to the community. This is quite evident through the efforts and endeavors associated with influential personalities, such as David Robinson (Carver Academy) and George Gervin (Youth Center).

It is believed that the impressive community involvement from players greatly contributes to creating one of the most loyal fan bases within the NBA. This fact is also obvious through the attendance records that the team set when they called the Astrodome their home court. They also broke records for having one of the biggest crowds in history during the 1999 NBA Finals. Now, they play in the ATandT Center and continue to regularly sell out seats.

Another unique bond that the city and team have with one another showcases one of the most important forms of respect. When celebrating championship runs or significant milestones within the sporting world, the residents of San Antonio march up and down the streets, honking horns and spreading pride with little disruption. When it comes to rejoicing after a Spurs-title win, a major riot has yet to take place.

Throughout the years, San Antonio has had a lot to be happy about. They have sent three players to the Basketball Hall of Fame: George Gervin, Moses Malone, and Dominique Wilkins. The first of these basketball greats inducted into the Hall of Fame was George Gervin, who was nicknamed the "Iceman" during his career. In 1996, his outstanding run with the Spurs left him retiring with the second-most blocks of any guard in the NBA.

In 2001, Moses Malone was inducted into the Hall of Fame. By the end of his career, his longevity in the game sent him playing with two members of the Berry family (Rick in Houston; 1979 and 1980) and his son (Jon in Milwaukee; 1992 and 1993). The last of the current Hall of Famers is Dominique Wilkins, who in 2006 was inducted after leading an NBA career filled with major scoring and dunking accolades. <bio>Looking to invest in San Antonio real estate? http://www.satxproperty.com Agente de Bienes Raices en San Antonio Texas http://www.satxproperty-sp.com </bio>

The University of Notre Dame is the proud home of the Fighting Irish. They tail the University of Michigan as the winningest college football program in the land. They also hold seven Heisman trophies.

There were several concerns about the name Fighting Irish. Specifically, many asked the question why the university used the word Irish. Some were worried because it sounded exclusive to the Irish race. Although the name was very specific, the university welcomed athletes of different ancestries. Many also suspect that the school team is exclusive to the Catholics; however, they also welcome students who hold other religion.

The university never intended to make the school nor their athletic department to be race and religion exclusive. The name Notre Dame Fighting Irish came about to recognize the struggles of the Irish in the Colonial era. The name is suiting for the team because they fight as the Irish fought for their lives way back in time. The fruit of their labor is at hand. The team is surely proud to be the second winningest team in the college football history.

An important part of their history is their notable coaches. One is Coach Frank Leahy, inducted in College football Hall of Fame in 1970. He also played for the Notre Dame in 1928 to 1930. However, his mark as a coach supersedes the time he participated as a player. He coached the team in 1941 to 1943 and came back to coach in 1946 to 1953.

Before moving to Notre Dame, he coached the Boston College where they remained undefeated in 1940. During his time at Notre Dame, he led the Fighting Irish to four National Championships: 1949, 1947, 1946, and 1941.

Aside from the four National Championships, many remembered him as the coach of four of the seven Heisman trophy awardees of Notre Dame.
The Longhorns have been representing the University of Texas in various sporting events. One of their most notable team is their football team. Throughout its history, the team has shown strength and dominance. Four Longhorns have won the Heisman Trophy. This is a recognition given to the best college football player. Aside from that, they have eleven Longhorn names in the College Football Hall of Fame while four in the National Football League Hall of Fame.

Aside from its Hall of Famers and multi awarded players, their rivalry with the Texas AandM University is also making noise. Others call the university AandM or TAMU. TAMU is a research university in Texas. Their football team is the Aggies. The team also has a rich history that started in 1894. Their runner back in 1957, John David Crow won the Heisman Trophy. Aside from that, they also have players and coaches playing for the National Football League.

The Texas Longhorns and Texas Aggies rivalry is already a part of the football culture in Texas. The rivalry is beyond football. Even those who are not athletes have exiting rivalries among themselves. However, football is among the most popular sport in College and anyone from the state is fully aware of the matchup between the two.

They rank third in the most played football rivalries in Division 1-A. making it very popular among fans. The history of the rivalry is as old as the Aggies. They first battle it out in 1894. The Longhorns won. The Aggies would not win against the horns until their meeting in 1902 where the Aggies destroyed the horns at 11-0.

However, those were just regular meetings. They were just two teams wanting to come out victorious. In 1911, the course of competition changed. Aggies fans were not happy of their defeat. The real rivalry began that night.

Like in most rivalries, the Longhorns rejoice in every defeat of their opponents. The rivalry even gave birth to the Lone Star Showdown. The name derived from the State of Texas, the Lone Star State. When the two teams meet in a sporting event, they keep track of who wins. Every time they win, they earn a point. At the end of the year, the team with the most points shall receive a trophy.

The rivalry between the Texas Longhorns and the Texas Aggies has influenced students and other member of the two universities. In fact, when you look at it closely, the students get to appreciate their school better when a game against the rival team is up coming. They seem to be more united than at times when their team is competing with just another regular team. You may be surprised at their reactions every time they win over the other. It seems like they have won a championship match.

It greatly affects the response of the fans as well. The cheers of the longhorn fans are not as loud as the cheer they give when their team is up against the Texas Aggies.<bio>Rick Grantham is an expert on sports equipment, specially on Texas Longhorns Merchandise for more information on NCAA College Merchandise, visit BooYah Village.</bio>

The Horton Smith Award, established in memory of Golf Hall of Fame professional Horton Smith, recognizes outstanding contributors to golf education. One of the 2006 nominees is Eric Wilson, the director of SDGA golf school The Golf Academy of the Carolinas.

Every year, the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) presents an outstanding contributor to golf education with the Horton Smith Award. In selecting which candidate should receive the award, the PGA analyzes each nominee's moral character, evidence of leadership skills, and the quality of instruction the nominee has contributed to a golf school or golf education program.

The Horton Smith Award honors the memory of Golf Hall of Fame professional Horton Smith. Smith is known for being one of the best putters the golf industry has known. Among his many accomplishments are the 1934 Masters, the 1936 Masters, many PGA Tour victories, and places in both the World Golf Hall of Fame and the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame. Additionally, Smith served as President of the PGA of America in the 1950s and co-authored "The Secret of Holing Putts" in the early 1960s.

Among the nominees for the 2006 Horton Smith Award is Eric Wilson, Director of SDGA golf school The Golf Academy of the Carolinas.

"It is an incredible honor to just be nominated for this award, and I feel very fortunate and thankful," Wilson says.

A professional golfer with a distinguished track record, Wilson is highly dedicated to passing on the art of golf to his students. With the motto, "Golf is a game. Play it and have fun," Wilson teaches his students to not only play golf, but also to understand the physics of the game. Wilson is also the director of South Carolina Special Olympics Golf, and has been involved in some fashion of -- whether planning, organizing, conducting, or judging --many Special Olympics golf events.

Wilson, who began his career with San Diego Golf Academy in 1996, Wilson opened the SDGA -Carolina golf school campus in 1998, where he has remained as director ever since. Wilson is part of a tradition in golf education that has spanned more than 30 years. With golf schools in San Diego, Arizona, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, and Hawaii, SDGA has given more than 5,000 students the education they need to get the golf job of their dreams. To help students get their foot in the door of an exciting golf career, the SDGA-owned golf employment company, GolFutures, successfully places more than 85% of the school's graduates in golf jobs. San Diego Golf Academy is pleased to be able to offer students instruction from outstanding golf educators, such as Eric Wilson, who are dedicated to their students' education and success. <bio>Andy West is a freelance writer and marketing communications specialist.
Wrestling and in particular that which is meant for entertainment has gradually gained its way to be one of the most popular sports for entertainment. A lot of people consider this form of entertainment to be one of their most favorite. There are lots of celebrities involved in this form of sport. In fact, wrestling is a worldwide entertainment.

The truth about this form of entertainment is that most of the actions are predetermined. This does not however reduce the number of spectators glued to this form of entertainment. More and more people are watching this sport on a daily basis and all over the world. The best way to believe in all these is to take some time out of your schedule and watch this highly entertaining sport.

World Wrestling Entertainment is a form of sport that has generated great characters and these characters have gained their places as celebrities in this sport. These have also generated lots of trade names and these are what spectators use in making out one actor and his traits from that of another. What is usually peculiar about these actors is that what they portray in the form of violent behavior towards others is usually faked. But all these are necessary in order to thrill the spectators. One of the most celebrated actors in this entertainment turns out to be John Cena. He has incredible talents to thrill the public. He is multitalented. Apart from being a strong wrestler, he is also an artist and equally a very good singer. Do you know that he is the present World Wrestling Entertainment title holder?

Where Did John Cena'S Career Begin?

It all started when he undertook wrestling lessons and he first came into light at the Ultimate Pro Wrestling. He was very successful at this stage and thought about joining the World Wrestling Entertainment, in which he signed a contract. It did not end here. His first television appearance was recorded on June 27th 2002 in which he wrestled against Kurt Angle. When he started his wrestling career, he was thought to be unequal against almost all his opponents. But he proved his detractors wrong and came out to be victorious over all his opponents. He also faced so many obstacles from his opponents. A good example is the fight which pitted him against Brock Lesnar, who was then the title holder. In this fight, his career almost came to a halt as a result of injuries sustained. Although this was one of his most difficult matches, this is where he picked up his trade name, F-U. This title was in response to F-5, title for Brock Lesnar. Later on he also took up the slogan "you can't see me" to be his trademark.

As far back as 2004, he has become so famous that he is known by every TV viewer. He also takes part in the Royal Rumble that comes every January. John Cena has preserved his position in this sport and was the 6th but was defeated by Big Show, another of wrestling celebrity. This defeat made him reconsider success as part and parcel of his career and he bounced back to defeat Big Show to become number one in the world of wrestling.

All wrestlers are looking forward to fight their way through and develop their own trade names that their fans will use to differentiate them from other wrestlers. Perhaps, they will one day be like john Cena who has adopted more than one trade name. World Wrestling Entertainment offers one of the most entertaining sports that can be watched wherever you find yourself. But it will be best for you if you take along your loved ones or friends and enjoy what the game has in store for you.<bio>Discover more information on trademark registering as well as tips on intellectual patent trademark when you visit http://www.howtotrademarkcopyright.com, the premier resources on how to trademark copyright.</bio>

We all want to know the greatest players of all times. It is easy to determine them because of the fact that their statistics are soaring high and most of the time they receive awards for it. They do not necessarily need to win lots of games. It will always reflect on their individual performance. Sometimes they are even inducted to the Hall of Fame Just to be recognized and not many players receive this opportunity. You cannot miss the best players of all time because the crowd loves them and the other team tries to read them. In baseball, there were lots of good players and all of them deserve to be recognized.

However, the greatest thing that we can find out is to identify the key players of the team that won most of the titles for the World Series. Not many teams get the opportunity to win as much as 26 World Series Titles. Only one team who can do this and they belong in the Eastern Division of the American League. They have the most titles ever one in this sport and it is not other than the famous New York Yankees.

Yes, there so much about this team that people love. Below are some of their best players of all time:

1. Babe Ruth- He played for this team for fourteen years starting 1920-34. His former team owner sold him out in order to finance a Broadway show. He performed well with the team. It was no doubt because this legend has always been the number one batter in the hearts of the people. His records are outstanding that is why he have helped the team win around seven World Series Titles. This person is now one of the names that you see in the Hall of Fame.

2. Lou Gehrig- He was known as the The Iron Horse. He played for the team for them for 16 years starting 1923-39. He worked hand in hand with Ruth and their statistics were both very competitive. However, his performance declined when he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis wherein his brain neurons started degenerating as well as the cells of his brain causing him involuntary movements that are not normal. He was the youngest baseball player to join the hall of fame in 1939 (even before he retired). Unfortunately, he died in 1941 with his impending illness

3. Joe DiMaggio- He was one of the anchors of the team when Ruth and Gehrig left. He played for the New York Yankees for 11 years. He helped the team win 9 World Series titles and 3 of those years he was hailed as the MVP. This guy is also one of the Hall of Famers.

These are just few of the baseball players who played for this team and contributed a lot for the Yankees to stay on top. Their track records speak well of how good they were. No wonder this team has been one of the top contenders for all time. If they have all of the batting skills of these players, then probably they will have a chance of bringing home the bacon.<bio>Freddie Brister is a huge fan of Major League Baseball and the New York Yankees.
These are the top five coaches, who helped them win the most Big 10 Conference Titles. From their record, you can really tell that this team is one of the most successful football teams.

The Big 10 is one of the conferences in the National College Athletics Association. It was established in order to regulate and organize athletics in college division. They wanted to ensure that anyone who will play for their school is not just anyone; rather they should be a student of the school they represent with good academic performance. Seven universities started as the early members of this conference and it was not until the 1899 when Indiana and Iowa joined. However when Chicago left, they became the Big Nine. In addition, they adopted the name Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives. Today there are 11 universities joining this conference and the Big 10 Conference became an official name 1987 with a whole new system incorporating values and academic excellence in choosing athletes to play for the member schools.

Athletes in this conference compete for 25 championships (for both men and women). There are 12 sports for men and 13 for women (because of volleyball). University of Michigan has the most wins, garnering 40 NCAA championships titles. They have been playing for this conference since 1896 then left the conference and came back again in 1907. They are famous for their achievements in football, hockey, baseball and basketball. Their college team is known as the Michigan Wolverines.

Their football team garnered 11 championship titles, the most for all of their teams. However, they have 42 Big Ten Conference Titles that have been accumulated since 1898. The following are the notable coaches for their football team:

1. Fielding Yost- he became the coach starting the year 1901. Glenn Edward Schembechler Jr. - He was the head coach for the year 1969-1989. He did not have any national titles but he helped the team grab 13 Big Ten Titles. Despite of it all, he still became a hall of famer in 1995.

3. Lloyd Carr- He was the head coach for the year 1995-2007. With his stay in this University, he led them to win 5 Big 10 Titles. And in 1997, he led the team to win their 11th national title, breaking the silence since 1948. He won a lot of awards in his coaching years including a Paul Bear Bryant Award.

4. Benjamin Gaylord Oosterbaan- He is the head coach way back in 1948-1958. He led the team to win 3 Big Ten Titles. In 1948, he led the team to win their 10th National Championship Title.
Different sports have jargons. It is hard to understand the annotators of the game if you have no clue what they are talking about. They specifically use terms that describe the actions of the players. For example, in American football, when the player in possession of the ball looses the ball, it is termed as fumble. In volleyball, when a player saves the ball from the powerful spike of the opponent, it is termed as a dig. In basketball, when the defensive player gets hold of the ball from the opposing player while dribbling the ball or transitioning to a play, they call it a steal. There are many terms used when you want to talk about a particular sport. They term it rather than describing it because it speeds up communication among players and coaches during time-outs.

Baseball is also a game with its own terms. No-hitter is one of them. This is describes a particular player who prevents the other team from making a hit and is commonly expected of a pitcher. Not all of them have this ability but the St. Louis Cardinals pitchers did. They had nine of them who were able to make 10 no-hitters. If you want to know them, check them out below:

1. Bob Forsch- He was made two no-hitter pitches back in 1978 and 1983. He is one of the greatest pitchers in the MLB because of his ability to shutout teams and his 67 complete games. No wonder this person deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

2. Bob Gibson- This person played for the team from 1959-1975. He pitched for the team and played for two World Series, at the same time became MVP in those wins.

3. Bud Smith- He achieved this when he was still a rookie. It was in 2001 that he did not allow a single batter from San Diego Padres to hit one of his pitches.

4. Jesse Haines- This person threw a no-hitter in 1924. That was the game against the Atlanta Braves. He pitched for two World Series Titles and he is now a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

5. Jose Jimenez- He only spent a year with the team and had his no-hitter pitch against the Arizona team back in 1999. Unfortunately, this person was tested for prohibited substances and was found to be using them. Because of this, he was kicked out from the league.

6. Paul Dean- He made the Detroit Tigers very disappointed when he made sure that none of them would hit the ball in the 1934 World Series. He only stayed with the St. Louie Cardinals for 5 years, wherein he had the best moments of his career.

7. Lorn Warneke- His no-hitter pitch occurred in 1941 with the game against Cincinnati Reds. He had another no-hitter pitch but it occurred during his playing years with The Cubs.

8. Ray Washburn-His no-hitter pitch occurred in 1968 during their match with the San Fransisco Giants. He pitched for one World Series and three National League Championships.

9. Ted Breitenstein- He threw a no-hitter in 1891 during their match against the Louisville Colonel and 1898 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He pitched for one New League Era Championships and was named 2-time winner of a National League Leader for pitching a complete game.<bio>Freddie Brister is a huge fan of Major League Baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals. His love for the game of Baseball started with an older brother throwing the baseball around in the backyard with cousins and neighborhood friends. He later played in high school, college and coached high school sports for 25 years, before retiring to write for Sports Fan Treasures.
