Virtually everyone is familiar with the apron. Aprons are protective garments worn over normal clothing, designed and crafted to cover primarily the front of the body. Aprons are commonly worn by people of all ages for several reasons such as hygienic purposes, though some that wear aprons use them to protect their clothes from wear and tear.

Aprons have been a common part of the uniform of a number of work categories for many years. Many wait staff, homemakers, nurses, and domestic staff wear them for a variety of reasons. It is interesting to note that some women commonly wear aprons for purely aesthetic reasons.

Aprons are available in a number of different styles. The role the apron itself will be called upon to fill greatly influences the style and design behind it. Taking this into mind, aprons can be designed and crafted from a variety of materials. There are rubber aprons commonly employed by people working with particularly risky and toxic chemicals. There are even lead aprons on the market, garments commonly worn by those who work with X-rays such as X-ray technicians, doctors, and those who work near radiation. More commonly, there are leather aprons such as those used by most carpenters who employ the many sturdy pockets to handle tools that would destroy flimsier aprons.

Aprons can be designed and crafted in a number of ways depending on the purpose it is expected to serve. A basic categorization in apron design is coverage where the two categories are waist aprons, which generally cover the body from waist down and bib aprons, which covers the upper part of the body as well. Aprons are commonly held in place by two straps of material, one connected to each side, that are then tied in the back. The bib apron may use this design in conjunction with a strap in around the neck, or it may use shoulders strap that cross in the back, or attach to the waistband.

Finally, it is worth to noting that the term andquot;apronandquot; does not refer exclusively to garments such as those mentioned above. The term is also used more generally to refer to an expanse surrounding an object. For example, airports have what is called a concrete apron around them, which is where planes as well as other vehicles can move about. Another example of this would be the rubberized skirt cushions that a hovercraft uses to contain the air blown by the lift fans, which are also referred to as an apron. A less obvious example would be at the theater, where the apron is the name given the portion of the stage separated by the main curtain that can be seen by the audience. <bio>Patricia Brown contributes to several popular web sites, especially http://great-product.com and http://productstips.com </bio>

We use writing every day in business. Does your writing make you look more professional or less professional?

There are some words that are commonly used interchangeably, when in fact they have different meanings. Here are a few of the words that are frequently used incorrectly.

You're and Your:

The word "you're" is a contraction for "you are". Correct: You're a good friend. (you are)

The word "your" is used to imply possession or ownership. Correct: Is this yours? (possession) Correct: I like your new car.

Sale and Sell:

The word "sale" and "sell" are not interchangeable. Sell is a verb, used to show what the noun (person, place, or thing) in the sentence is doing. "I am going to sell this."

Sale is most commonly used as a noun, such as in the sentence "There is a big sale at the mall."

Correct use of both words: "I am going to sell this shirt at a garage sale."

Too and Two: The word "two" is the number 2. Correct: There are two flowers in that vase.

The word "too" usually means "also". Correct: I would like to swim, too. (I would like to swim, also.)

Prefixes Such As "Un", "In", and "Non":

Each word has only one correct prefix.

Correct: Unpleasant Incorrect: Impleasant, nonpleasant

Correct: Irreversible Incorrect: Inreversible, nonreversible, unreversible

A Lot and Alot:

The words "a lot" are correct. "Alot" is incorrect and there is never an occasion in which it should be used.

Good and Well:

Good is an adjective. Adjectives are used to describe nouns. Correct: You are a good dog.

Well is an adverb. An adverb is used to describe a verb. Correct: You are behaving well.

You wouldn't wear a dirty shirt to a business meeting, so don't let your writing make you look bad, either. <bio>Nicole Dean is the owner of http://www.LadyPens.com .
More than 90% of the spiral bound documents that you see on the market are bound with 4:1 pitch colorcoil binding. However, there are actually several different pitches of coil available for spiral binding. Each of these pitches have specific applications for which they are best suited. This article will provide a quick overview of the major different options for spiral coil hole patterns and their applications.

4:1 pitch color coil is the most commonly used pattern for document and presentation binding. This spiral binding hole pattern has four holes per inch and is fully compatible with 6mm pitch supplies (primarily used overseas). Four to one pitch color coil binding is available in sizes from 6mm to 50mm. This type of coil binding is the most commonly available spiral binding option and is designed for use with the majority of the smaller spiral binding machines on the market. This coil binding is easy to work with binding books up to 1 inch thick, however, inserting 4:1 pitch coils on books greater than one inch can be difficult and time consuming.

5:1 pitch coil is the second most commonly used pattern for document and presentation binding. This uses a hole pattern with five holes per inch and is also referred to as 5mm coil binding. The tighter spiral of this coil provides a distinctive look and is preferred by some individuals. One common misconception about 5:1 coil is that it provides a stronger more secure bind than 4:1 coil. This is simply NOT true. The fact that the 5:1 hole pattern places holes closer together than 4:1 makes it easier to tear the pages out on these documents. Still, the tighter spiral binding of the 5:1 pattern provides a distinctive look that some individuals prefer when binding their documents.

3:1 pitch spiral binding is the third most commonly used pattern for document and presentation binding. With three holes per inch, this spiral coil is compatible with both the GBC ProClick and the 3:1 wire binding hole patterns. It is primarily used by individuals who already have a 3:1 punch and wish to add the capability to bind coil documents. However, large auto punches and inline punches for photocopiers are sometimes sold with a 3:1 pitch die. While providing a look similar to its 4:1 counterpart, 3:1 coil binding is slightly easier to insert since it has less holes to spin through.

The three pitches discussed above are the most commonly used pitches for coil binding. However, coil binding can be special ordered in several other unique pitches. For instance, .400 pitch binding is designed for a hole pattern that has 2.5 holes per inch. This pitch of binding is only available in diameters greater than 20mm or 3/4" and is available in sizes up to 56mm or 2.25". However, the filament size of this coil binding is larger than is normally found on other pitches of coil binding, making it more rigid making it easier to insert on larger diameter books. .400 coil is most often used along with a 2:1 pitch wire hole pattern. However, a few companies make specialty dies specifically designed for this pitch of coil binding. <bio>Jeff McRitchie is the designer and Director of Marketing for http://www.MyBinding.com He has written over 100 articles on binding supplies, binding covers, 3-ring binders and more. </bio>

Suspended over the sauna's heating unit, these scent bowls usually have a tiny hole in the bottom so the essential oil and water mixture can slowly drip down and release the scent into the warm, steamy air. Not only does this create a very pleasing environment for the sauna bather, some essential oils are purported to further augment the health benefits of sauna bathing.

For instance, essential oil of eucalyptus, which is one of the most popular oils for use in saunas, is reported to have additional benefits for the respiratory system. Commonly used in natural cough and cold remedies, eucalyptus helps to clear the bronchial passages and reduce sinus congestion.

Another essential oil which is commonly used for respiratory problems or infections is pine. Not only is essential oil of pine good for the lungs, it is also one of the more invigorating oils. It is especially pleasant to help revive the sauna bather after a long, tiring day. Also, oil of pine can help reduce the pain and inflammation of joint problems like arthritis.

Essential oil of rosemary is also especially good for relieving fatigue. It is also considered to be a powerful general remedy for many different health conditions, and is good for boosting the bather's sense of general well-being.

A blend that is of particular interest to women is cajeput and lemon oil. Cajeput is a well-known muscle relaxant and antiseptic. Essential oil of lemon is used for its bactericidal and disinfecting capabilities. It is also considered to be a powerful restorative. This blend is commonly thought to be ideal for use if the bather feels a cold coming on, or simply to give a boost to the immune system.

These are just a few of the wonderful scents available as accessories for saunas. <bio>Catherine Cannon writes on a variety of subjects.
To a person that does not commonly purchase meat, the deli counter can be a very intimidating place to be. There are so many selections to choose from when you are trying to find red meat, and many people don't know where to look when it comes to purchasing good cuts of meat. In this article, we'll discuss some of the common features of steaks to look for when purchasing beef so that you can know how to choose the right cuts for you and your family.

First off, you need to understand the USDA's grading system when it comes to steak. There are three grades of beef sold under the USDA guidelines - Prime, Choice, and Select. Prime is the most expensive cut of beef, and it is usually from younger cows and features extensive marbling. Marbling is an aspect of beef that is important to understand. When small levels of fat permeate through the meat, causing it to have a 'marbled' appearance like the stone of the same name, the beef is often very tender and consequently highly desired. It can be tough to find Prime USDA beef outside of restaurants, with only specialty butchers usually carrying the meat. The next step down in the quality of beef is Choice. Choice beef is the most commonly found grade in the marketplace, and while it has less marbling than Prime beef, it still tends to be desirable. Select is the lowest grade of beef, featuring limited marbling throughout the beef, usually resulting in tough meat that isn't very juicy.

Another important aspect to consider when buying beef is the cut. One of the most commonly purchased high-end steak cuts is known as filet mignon. Also commonly referred to as beef tenderloin, these cuts are amongst the tenderest cuts of beef available. They are often round in appearance, and you can expect to pay a pretty penny when purchasing filet mignon. New York Strip Steaks are also often desirable, featuring a long marbled cut of meat with a strip of fat along the side. T-Bones and Porterhouses represent the bigger cuts of steak, with 20 ounces being a common size for the Porterhouse. They feature a bone along the center with plenty of marbled, tender meat throughout.

When choosing an individual steak, there are some things to look out for. Purchase beef that is bright red in color, signifying a level of freshness not found in most steaks. The package that the steak comes in should be cold, and there shouldn't be much juice floating around the package - that denotes that the meat may have been on the shelf for too long of a time. The meat should be firm to the touch, with soft meat possibly being on the shelf too long as well.

Now that you know what to look for when shopping for a steak, you can more accurately pick the cut of meat and the choice steaks to keep you and your dinner guests pleased. <bio>Kadence Buchanan writes articles for http://letstalkaboutfood.com/.
There are many different types of depression. Depression can take many forms, and so many healthcare professionals use a number of different terms when referring to depression. Seasonal affective disorder, clinical depression, and bipolar depression are all commonly diagnosed types of depression. What really causes a lot of confusion when someone is diagnosed with depression is that it can very often overlap with another illness. Conditions such as substance abuse or an eating disorder may be confused with depression, and can make any form of depression rather hard to diagnose. The following are some very common forms of depression.

You will hear the term major depression when you are experiencing one of the depressive disorders that are severe enough to require treatment. For example, say you are very active at your local gym but have experienced some type of severe emotional trauma and start to avoid the gym at all costs. It is very likely that you could be experiencing a bout with major depression.

Another one of the major types of depression is bipolar depression (also known as manic depressive illness). Bipolar depression is commonly recognized as someone experiencing being overly happy, then suddenly becoming horribly depressed. Many doctors believe that bipolar depression is an imbalance in the brain that can often be successfully treated with medications.

One of the major types of depression that women are known to suffer from is postpartum depression. Healthcare professionals have determined that many women suffering from postpartum depression have already suffered from some form of depression previously. Most women that go through giving birth feel badly the first few days afterward. However, those that are not able to snap out of the depressive feelings can experience them for months, if not years, if not properly treated.

Of the many types of depression, a common subtype of depression is seasonal affective disorder. This form of depression seems to be tied to the way people react to the amount of sunlight that is available to them each day. Light therapy by use of special lamps is a common treatment for those suffering from seasonal affective disorder.

A very serious form of the many types of depression is psychotic depression. Those that suffer from psychotic depression very often hear voices in their head in addition to having visual delusions. Individuals that are suffering from this need to have someone help them seek treatment as soon as possible. Most sufferers are not able to think rationally, and therefore are likely to hurt themselves or others. Psychotic depression strikes about 15% of individuals suffering from major depression.

People that seem to be suffering constantly from a mild form of depression are likely to be suffering from dysthymia. People that are suffering from dysthymia can also be hit with a bout of major depression, the more severe form of depression that results in necessary close medical monitoring and aggressive treatment.

Another of the many types of depression that are very commonly suffered by women is atypical depression. This form of depression is commonly marked by experiencing things like panic attacks, overeating, and sleeping disturbances.
Is it driving you? I guess not. Screws are somewhat like the air we breathe, they are tiny things that we take for granted in our daily lives. Now if you haven't seen what a screw looks like, flip your keyboard or mouse upside down. Yes that's it! It's that shiny silver thing on the edges of the gadgets you commonly use.

Screws usually function as fasteners for mounting and for locking two adjacent cases to protect the inner core of the gadget. Recently screws have evolved and are made of plastic material which is generally used for mounting electronic circuit boards to take advantage of its insulation property.

Screws for that matter don't come as metal or plastic in its classification. They are classified depending on the shape of the slot it has on its head and the thread that it has.

Commonly there are two classifications of screws. We have the wood screw and the metal screw. How do we tell the difference? Metal screws have a pitch with much farther spaces in between them compared to that of the wood screw. Metal screws are used when a hole has been drilled unto the metal surface prior to the installation of the screw. A wood screw is not a screw made out of wood but a screw designed to be attached to a wood. This type of screw has a pitch interval closer than that of a metal screw. It also has a sharp pointed bottom. The installation of wood screws requires the screw to be used as a bit to drill into the wooden surface.

Another classification of screws is the type of head slot it has. The most common type of screws you could find in your neighborhood tool shop is the Phillips screws, Standard Slotted screws, Hex key screws, and the Pozidriv. Other types of heads are the Torx, Robertson, Tri-wing, Torque-set and the Spanner. These screws are commonly used in consumer electronics like televisions, DVD players, digital media players, cellular phones and etc. The reason why companies use these kinds of screw is for security purposes. This is to discourage unauthorized tampering of the gadget because finding the screwdrivers to fit these types of screws are pretty hard and expensive. Having the right tools to open these equipment means that the individual is qualified and experience enough to open such items.

So this is to give you a basic idea of the screw. I suggest that if you might need one, you better bring a sample to the hardware store to have a perfect fit for your need because if screws are installed with the wrong size and type, this could break and crack open your encasement which could mean trouble. <bio>Mary Lorainne writes about http://www.hardwaretoolsonsale.com/ </bio>

No matter if you are a do it yourself kind of person or a professional plumbing expert there are a few basic tools that will prove to be a necessity for your work. If you happen to be a professional you will want top of the line tools while non-professionals will normally be happy with the selection at the local home improvement store. .. Whether or not you enjoy doing home improvement tasks concerning your plumbing it is a great idea to have a few basic tools on hand so that you are prepared in case of an emergency situation.

Tools For Everyone To Use

One thing you need to remember is that there are certain tools for certain jobs concerning plumbing. Just for an example, the washers that are commonly used for plumbing purposes are created from different materials and made in different sizes, which means that the types of tools you will need to work with them will differ as well.

The very first thing that all plumbers should be purchasing is a wrench. This can be a difficult task as there is quite a selection of wrenches available for purchase. Adjustable wrenches will offer you the chance to change the grip on your wrench to help take care of different jobs while a fixed wrench only offers you one type of jaw opening. Some of the many other types of wrenches include a socket wrench, a pipe wrench and a basin wrench. For more info see http://www.i-plumbing.com/ on Plumbers

Pliers should be the next item on your plumbing tool-shopping list. Tongue and groove pliers, which are a staple of most all tools boxes are very commonly, used however most plumbers will utilize water pump pliers, which are jawed.

Pipe vises are normally used for the purposes of cutting, threading and reaming pipe. Pipe vises are all designed to be able to work with pipes of different sizes. Yoke pipe and chain vises are the two most commonly used pipe vises. A yoke pipe vise is made to handle pipes that have jaws while a pipe vise handles those without. Something to keep in mind is that pipe vises are equipped to handle larger pipes then yoke vises.

No matter if you are planning to use your plumbing tools every day or just plan on using them in the event of a plumbing emergency, making sure you have these tools in your toolbox will ensure that you are ready for any potential problem. <bio>You can also find more info on http://www.i-plumbing.com/Basement_Plumbing/ on Basement Plumbing and http://www.i-plumbing.com/Emergency_Plumber/ on Emergency Plumber. http://Sressmanagementmethods.com is a comprehensive resource to known about stress management. </bio>

Gone are the days when vacuum cleaners were big, bulky and it was a chore in itself just to lug them from one room to the next. In fact, these days it is just the opposite. Vacuum cleaners have come such a long way that manufacturers have even invented models that do all of the work themselves with no manual labor required. How is that for convenient?

The most popular of the vacuum cleaners, which is the upright, features a pump located directly above the suction. Lightweight models are available in a variety of designs that allow vacuum cleaners to glide across the floor with ease. The handles are coated with non-slip material that allows the owner to easily hold onto the device while in use.

Canister vacuum cleaners feature a bag and the motor in a separate canister, which is usually connected to the vacuum cleaners with a hose that is attached just above the wheels. Again, these vacuum cleaners are available in lightweight designs that are more convenient than the heavier models of yesteryear.

Wet and/or dry vacuum cleaners are commonly used to clean up wet spills, but they can also handle dry dirt just as easily.

Robotic vacuum cleaners which, as the name implies, are operated by an internal robotic chip that guides the unit blindly until it bumps a chair, wall or table and is redirected another way. A robotic model is usually very small, which makes them lightweight, and are usually round in design.

Small handheld vacuum cleaners are commonly used to clean out automobiles or small areas of the home that a regular unit could not reach. These models are very lightweight and compact in their design, which makes them ideal for travel and automobile cleaning or for college students who are living in a dorm and have little space for their belongings.

Vacuum cleaners are commonly found in almost every retail store, both online and local, and are priced at $20.00 and up depending on the selected model. All new vacuum cleaners will be accompanied by a manufacturer's warranty, which will generally cover defects related to material or workmanship. Most warranties will not cover misuse or the negligent operation of the unit, but will be very valuable should the cleaner fail to operate or develop a problem related to it's configuration. Owners should retain all paperwork involved with the purchase of any new vacuum cleaners, including the original purchase receipt, the owner's manual and other warranty papers. <bio>For more information about vacuum cleaners, click the link to visit our website at http://www.vacuumcleanerreport.info .
In the world of domain names, the concept of domain name suffix is very important. Many people these days, especially those who are looking for some domain names to register actually choose the right domain name suffixes. In fact, when we do certain domain name registration, we are often required to choose what domain name suffix we want, and we are required to type in the accurate domain name with its appropriate domain name suffix. However, even if the domain name suffix is there since the birth of the concept for domain name, many people are still not aware about the nature of the domain name suffix. The term "domain name suffix" then is such commonly used and commonly heard term, but is least understood.

So for those who are interested to know the nature of the domain name suffix and the role that it played in the domain name arena, you better continue reading for here are some facts about the domain name suffix.

When we say domain name suffix, we are actually dealing with the top level domain names or the domain name extensions. This thing plays a large role in the domain name arena for the reason that a domain name is not there without the domain name suffix. Therefore, the domain name suffix is a major part of domain name functioning to let the people or the visitors of a certain site recognize the nature of the web site. It is known as a generic top level domain and it therefore describes the type of organization.

Given such fact, it is commonly noted that there are several types of domain name suffix, and the most common domain name suffix is the .com which generally stands for a company. It is interesting to know that other well-known domain name suffixes include the .org which stands for organization, and .net for network.

For much emphasis, in the last few years, another set of domain name suffixes are approved and these include the .aero for the air transport industry; .biz for reserved businesses; .com for businesses, commercial enterprises, or online services; .coop which is reserved for cooperatives; .edu for educational institutions and universities; .gov which is reserved for United States government agencies; .info for all applications; ..int for organizations that were established by international treaties; and .mil for United States military. But aside from such mentioned domain name suffixes, here comes another domain name suffixes which are also of great use, and these are the ..museum for use by museums; .name for use by individuals; .net for networks and which is typically reserved for organizations like the internet service providers; .org for non commercial organizations; and the .pro for use by professionals like attorneys and physicians.

It is indeed interesting to know that such mentioned domain name suffixes as generally maintained by the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers or ICANN which generally manages the Domain Name System for the purpose of identifying the kind of a certain group managing the web site. And since not all domain name suffixes are appropriate in all situations, you should then know your own judgment when deciding which domain name suffix to add every time you go for a domain name registration. <bio>The 78 BEST Selling ebook Package Money Can Buy!
The world of electric motors is quite fascinating. For many making and collecting various types of electric motors is a hobby and for others making them to power various devices is a profession. Whatever the approach is, but these devices offer innumerable possibilities for improvisation.

Working with them and understanding them is a rewarding and learning experience. Let us find out more about these in general. Usually, they can be classified into two main types. They are direct current or DC and alternating current or AC motors. DC or AC is very common terms and they refer to how the electrical current is transferred through and from the motor. Both types of motors have different utilities and uses.

DC motors are usually available in two general types. Alike, AC motors also come in two different types. They can be two phase or three phase AC motors. Although on technical front, the differences in DC and AC motors are sometimes marginal, but some of these differences make one types better than the other for a certain use.

In general, the DC electric motors work for conditions controlling the speed is essential. It is due to the factor that DC motors have a steady and constant current. DC motors are also the first and earliest motors used. But these good factors are also accompanied with some limitations; for instance, the DC electric motors are incapable of producing power over long period of time.

Most of the electric companies are aware of the limitation of the DC motor and have found that the power was lost as the electric current was transmitted. One of the variant, the Brush DC motors, uses certain rings that conduct the current and form the magnetic drive that runs the rotor. On the other hand, the brush-less DC electric motors bring forth a switch to generate the magnetic drive that powers the rotor. Direct current motors commonly used in most of the electric appliances in your home.

Now coming back to the AC motors we find that these kinds of motors are commonly used on the basis of their type. For instance, the single phase AC motors are used for general purpose. This type of motors will work efficiently in different conditions. AC motors are effective for systems that are hard to start because they need a lot of power for this purpose.

The three phase AC motors, also called polyphase, are commonly found in industrial sector. The AC motors have a high starting power built to transmit lower levels of overall power. As it alternated the power, so it gets its name AC. The amount of power specified by an AC motor is determined by the amount of power needed to operate the system.

Generally, the DC and AC motors are easily come across everywhere from the home to the car to industrial uses. The introduction of DC motors is still considered no less than a revolution and when AC motors were available in the market the way motors were looked at changed because of their amazing starting power potential. DC motors and AC motors are different in many ways, but they still both are used to power the world of electric appliances. <bio>For more information visit our website http://www.electric-motors.org </bio>

A book report is defined as a short summary of a book, the reader's interpretation of it and their reaction. While every book report does include details, it is most often customized to it's audience with an emphasis on related aspects studied in a classroom or educational group.

>From an educators viewpoint, the goal of a book report is to test the student's reading comprehension, their ability to relay their thoughts in a clear manner and their writing ability. Educators commonly assign book reports to students in order to help them to build or acquire additional knowledge about a particular subject and to help them better understand how to interpret a book and it's meaning.

>From a writer's standpoint, book reports are often used to entice readers to buy a specific book that has recently been released. This is commonly called a book review, which usually includes the columnist's viewpoint, opinion and criticism (if any) of the book. Much similar to the structure of a movie review, a journalist is often employed to critique book's and their storyline. This provides potential readers with insight and often persuades or deters another from buying a particular book.

The structure of a book report will depend solely on the age group that it is being tailored for. An example would be that of an elementary class and how their book report would greatly differ from that written by a college student. In general, however, every book report will be similar in it's layout. Commonly consisting of a title, brief introduction, the main body of the report including a plot or summary and several concluding paragraphs at the end. The final paragraphs would offer the individual's personal viewpoint or interpretation of the book and a conclusion as to how that particular book is relative to the subject area being studied.

The actual length of a book report will again vary depending on the age group for which it is intended. Most book report assignments will range from one to three pages. Higher learning students are often asked to further examine details of the book and offer a more in-depth interpretation of the book's characters, the plot, etc.

Writing a book report can require extensive reading, planning and finally writing. The actual length of time that it may take to complete a book report will depend on the length of the book and the requested length of the book report itself. Generally, a book report assignment is requested within one or two weeks. In certain circumstances, additional time may be granted. <bio>To find out more about book report, please visit our website at http://www.bookreportguide.info .
Welding is the process of getting metal surfaces to join together by using high heat to melt them together. Vices are often used to hold the pieces of metal until they have molded together. Welded metal is very strong and it is often hard to tell if two pieces of metal have been welded together. This process of welding is used in industry all the time. It is much stronger than solder or other joining techniques.

There are many types of welding. Forged welding was used by blacksmiths to put two pieces of metal together. They would get the metal hot and use a hammer to make it go together. This is believed to be the first type of welding ever used. Arc welding is commonly used today for construction and in home workshops. This type of welding uses a power source to make an electric arc.

Spot welding is a form or resistance welding. This is commonly used in businesses and on sheet metal. This type of welding allows you to weld a particular spot that other types of welding can't get done without getting the entire surface area hot.

The type of welding you will use depends on many factors. The important thing is for the weld to be amazingly strong. Factors to consider include the amount of heat needed to get the materials hot enough, the design of the material, and the design of the joint. It is important to test the strength of the weld. Not all metals hold a weld very well. Steel and sheet metal work best.

Since you will be working with heat and often with metals that have sharp edges, it is very important that you wear heavy gloves and eye protection when you are welding. You should also wear long sleeved clothing to prevent burns. You should only use welding equipment after being properly trained in how to operate it. <bio>Get Perforated Sheets for your metalworking projects at <a href="http://actis.nelweb.biz/perforatedsheets.htm" >http://actis.nelweb.biz/perforatedsheets.htm </bio>

Many will be more familiar with this mental health condition as manic depression, but these days it is commonly referred to as bipolar affective disorder. In the very essence of the term, bipolar disorder is a mood disorder that causes mood swings way beyond what may be categorized as normal. Symptoms will alternate from severe low depression to feelings of being on a tremendous high. Each instance however, commonly changes between individuals.

To date, it is still unclear how bipolar affective disorder is actually come by. Professional's institutions and the like believe that the condition is down to hormonal and genetic levels but there is still much more to consider when we look at this. The experiences and emotions that are felt with bipolar affective disorder occur daily and frequently this is what sets off the mood swings. Trying to deal with the occurrence of elated feelings and then unpleasant feelings can without doubt put one suffering with bipolar affective disorder in greater jeopardy for manic depressive instances.

A number of instances may set off the mood swings which include: inadequate sleep, drug abuse, not taking medications, illnesses, fall outs with family and friends, bereavements etc. It's also common to trigger mood swings when placed in a new environment such as starting a new job or going to university. If your G.P has examined you and confirmed that indeed you do have bipolar affective disorder, you will soon be able to understand and know what can trigger the mood swings you are experiencing. You may also find it useful to consult your G.P and ask to be referred to a therapist who can help you put a mood chart together. This is an immense help as it will help you to learn to take note of your emotions and aid in avoiding some of the recurring triggers. Speak to you friends and family about this also and try to explain more about your triggers so they may also help you with your battle against this condition.

The condition of bipolar affective disorder can actually go unannounced for years without anybody knowing about it. The way many other illness will have a standard test that is conducted to firmly establish the cause of that ailment, bipolar works completely different to this and any practitioner who may suspect bipolar will make his further investigations by way of a questionnaire made up of a predefined checklist.

Medication is available for bipolar affective disorder so help is at hand. Typical medications for the condition are antidepressants, mood stabilizers and also what is not really a medicine as such but rather a therapy, electroconvulsive therapy or more commonly referred to as ECT.

There is really no guarantee that medication will totally eradicate the bipolar affective disorder symptoms, but they can be controlled and made to help you cope easier with particular situations.

Bipolar affective disorder is not uncommon and it is important to remember that it is not just the patient who is affected by it. We must also consider the sufferers family and friends too. If you suspect you may have bipolar affective disorder then please don't panic as help is always available. With the correct treatment there is no reason why the condition can't be effectively controlled. <bio>Bipolar Affective Disorder can be effectively controlled. You are not alone.
Bloating is a very common symptom that people often experience after eating a meal. The bloating is usually felt in the lower part of the abdomen and sometimes in the upper section. Bloating usually feels as if there is pressure being applied from the inside and people often report that they can look up to six months pregnant. Bloating after eating is often different to the bloating experienced with menopause, pregnancy and PMS. Bloating after eating feels gassy and is usually relieved after passing wind or burping. This kind of bloating can be caused by certain foods. However, if it happens frequently, it can also indicate a digestive problem such as leaky gut syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, candida overgrowth, intestinal parasites, celiac disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and general food allergies and intolerances. Apart from bloating after eating, a common symptom of all of these conditions is chronic tiredness. This is because your digestive system is responsible for the breakdown and absorption of nutrients from the food you eat. If there is a digestive problem, its easy to become nutrient deficient and this commonly causes chronic tiredness.

So, how do you know if you are bloating because of foods that you are eating, or because you have a digestive problem? A person with a healthy digestive system will experience far less bloating, even with foods that commonly cause bloating. However, the list of foods below commonly causes bloating in many people.

Raffinose - a sugar found in beans, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, asparagus, other vegetables and whole grains. Eaten raw, these foods cause more bloating than when they are cooked.

Lactose - a natural sugar found mainly in milk and milk products, such as cheese, cream, yoghurt and ice cream. Lactose levels are much higher in milk and non-fat milk than in cheese and yogurt. Lactose is commonly associated with irritable bowel syndrome.

Fructose - a sugar found in fruits and honey. It's also used as a sweetener in some soft drinks, fruit drinks and processed foods. Fructose is also considered to be an important contributing factor to irritable bowel syndrome for many people.

Sorbitol - a sugar found naturally in fruits, including apples, pears, peaches, and prunes, and is also used as an artificial sweetener in many dietetic foods and sugar-free candies and gums.

Starches - most starches, including potatoes, corn, rice, bread, noodles and any products made from flour produce gas as they are broken down in the large intestine.

Wheat -- in particular, wheat appears to be a major source of bloating and gas. Most people find that if they eliminate wheat and flour products, their bloating nearly always improves.

Soluble fibre -- this type of fibre dissolves easily in water and takes on a soft, gel-like texture in the intestines. It's found in oat bran, beans, peas and most fruits.

Insoluble fiber -- this type of fibre doesn't dissolve in water and passes unchanged through the intestines and therefore produces less gas than soluble fibre. It is found in wheat bran and most fruit and vegetable skins.

Legumes commonly cause bloating and gas due to their complex structure of starch and protein. Soaking and cooking legumes well helps to reduce bloating.

Please note: The information in this article is not intended to take the place of a personal relationship with a qualified health practitioner nor is it intended as medical advice. <bio>Alison Cassar is a naturopathic practitioner and nutritionist and runs a busy clinic in Sydney, Australia. Her website and e-book http://whydoifeeltired.com/ explores the many causes of tiredness as well as solutions and prevention. </bio>

There are a lot of plants that you will want to avoid when it comes to camping. You will want to know when you are near poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. You will find that these plants are very painful rashes that will make you itch.

When it comes to the poison ivy you will find that it is the most commonly found dangerous plant in America. You will find that it can grow into four feet scrubs and is commonly a ground cover. It is rarely found in elevation in 5,000 or above, but you will find that it grows in most places that people camp. You will want to keep in mind that when it comes to "leaves of there, let it be". This is a clear and common sign of poison ivy. You will also find that it can be a dull green or even purplish.

Another common plant to avoid is poison oak. When it comes to poison oak, you will find that it has some multi-lobed leaves, but it can also have fuzzy, fruit-like branches. The leaves are mostly scalloped around the edges, but it can also be wrinkled, rather than smooth like poison ivy. The leaves will grow in threes, but it is more common to see plants with five or more leaves. Usually, the poison oak will go in sandy solid and range from places from New Jersey down the eastern coast to Florida, but it could also go to places as Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. A to keep in mind is that poison ivy is the most common poison plant in the east, but it is poison oak that is in the western states and more in the south.

As for poison sumac, you will find that it is the least widespread plant, and it really isn't in many places, but the swamp areas and peat bogs. You will find that the leaves of this plant is bluish-green with the red tips. You will find that there are cream colored berries on this plant and it is just as toxic as poison oak and poison ivy. You will want to keep in mind that there are oils in this plant that will spread quickly and it will spread to other people through casual contact. <bio>Ray Walberg publishes normally for http://www.alicante-spain.com , a website with topics around Villajoyosa and Torrevieja.
An Exchange Traded Fund, more commonly known as ETF, is a collective investment much like a Mutual Fund. It is a commonly used tactic to get people to invest in a wider range of investments than they would have chosen on their own. These schemes are also known as mutual funds or simply managed funds. A large portion of these funds are traded on the worlds stock exchange.

1. Short Term Investing Strategy

First of all, the exchange is always on and thus trades are able to happen continuously. More trades happen per day so there is a greater chance that you will find a buyer for your commodity. These qualities give ETF's some advantages over Mutual Funds in the US. ETF's allow for a diversified portfolio at a low cost. They can be used in both long term buy and hold and for selling with a short-term strategy.

2. ETF Popularity

The popularity of ETF's have continued to rise because they offer unparalelled benefits. They offer the diversification benefits of a Mutual Fund with the features of stock. As more and more ETF's become available, it is likely their popularity will increase even more. ETF's typically have lower expense ratio's and lower turn-over rates.

3. What's The Difference Between ETF Also, Mutual Funds Then?

ETF's typically have lower expanse costs than mutual funds. Being passively managed, you end up paying about three percent less per transaction. Over time this can add up to quite a lot of money. ETF's can also be more tax efficient. In the US when ever a Mutual Fund realizes a capital gain, it must distribute it to the shareholders at the end of the quarter. Investors can carry out the same sort of trades that they can with a stock.

4. Getting Started

If you are looking to get started in having your own ETF you can contact your brokerage account or local financial investment firm. Compared with other types of investments they are simple to acquire and much easier to use. <bio>For more great ETF related articles and resources check out http://etfadvisor.info </bio>
