The roof is a bit leaky in places, and a couple of the steps up to the porch wobble more than they should. The furnace moans and groans as if it is being tortured, and every time the wind blows it sounds as if each window is going to pop right out. Plus, your great-grandmother could bust down the front door if she tried hard enough. Face it: Your house is aging. Of course, this is not a problem if you like the excitement of living dangerously, but if you're in the market for homeowner's insurance, or looking to save some money on your current homeowner's insurance policy, you need to start making some repairs to your home.

When you set out to purchase a homeowner's insurance policy, the insurance company is going to want to know what kind of condition your home is in. Not all aging homes are going to face problems; actually, as long as your aging home has been well-maintained, you shouldn't have any problems when you try to purchase a homeowner's insurance policy. However, if your home is aging so ungracefully that not a single room in the house has seen a coat of paint in the last 30 years, it is probably safe to say that no other maintenance has been done, either, and you might have some trouble getting a homeowner's insurance policy -- much less one you can afford.

Making repairs to your home that will make your home safer for you, your family, your visitors, and your valuables, as well as make your home less likely to suffer water and fire damage will not only get you a great homeowner's insurance policy, but it can also help you save money on your existing homeowner's insurance policy. Give your current homeowner's insurance agent a call and find out what you can do to your aging home that will lower your homeowner's insurance rates. <bio>http://www.myquoteguide.com/Student-Health.shtml http://www.ezquoteguide.com/home/ Kentucky Car Insurance </bio>

You're probably like the majority of people driving motor vehicles on our roads - careful, responsible and courteous to other drivers. So you might ask yourself, why take a defensive driver course? Well, there are a few very good reasons, as you are about to find out.

Reason #1 (by far) - You Could Save Your Life

Taking a defensive driver course could save your life! It doesn't matter how careful or responsible you are when driving, accidents can still happen. Many accidents are caused by other drivers you encounter on the roads who act irresponsibly and drive dangerously. This means that in addition to being careful, responsible and courteous yourself, you must also drive defensively to avoid others who drive dangerously.

Reason #2 - Avoid Emotional, Physical and Financial Hardship

Large numbers of people are seriously injured in car accidents each year. Being involved in a car accident results in traumatic emotional, physical and financial hardship, and is often caused through no fault of your own. Accidents like this can affect you and your loved ones for many years to come. Taking advantage of a good defensive driver course can help learn techniques for combating the irresponsible and dangerous driving of others.

Reason #3 - Save Money On Insurance Premiums

Many motor vehicle insurance companies offer discounts and rebates to drivers who have undertaken a certified defensive driver course. Drivers who invest in defensive driving education and present a certificate of completion to their insurance company can often benefit from reduced car insurance costs.

Reason #4 - Traffic Violation Dismissal

In some municipalities, completing a defensive driver course is one of the consequences of being booked for a traffic violation.

Completion of the defensive driver course, and presentation of the appropriate documentation can sometimes entitle you to a dismissal of the ticket. Undergoing driver education can also help you to drive in a much safer manner and avoid traffic violations in the first place.

Reason #5 - Learn Many and Varied Strategies For Safety

A good defensive driver course will use many tools to teach safety strategies. Quality courses use videos to show clearly the different defensive driving techniques that are important to remaining safe on the road. A good defensive driver course will often use animations to highlight common mistakes made by drivers. Animations are also used to demonstrate important techniques, such as how drivers should enter and exit from a busy freeway. Escape techniques for avoiding dangerous and aggressive drivers are also valuable tools taught by any good defensive driver course.

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to take a good defensive driver course. Saving your life and avoiding physical, financial and emotional hardship alone would be more than enough reason to invest your money in some quality driver education. Don't delay, do it now! <bio>Jean Littman is co-owner of http://www.defensivedriversense.com which provides quality resources on defensive driving, advanced driving and traffic safety. </bio>

The author of Affiliate Project X and Day Job Killer has just come out with another product, this one written by other people, including Alex Goad, infamous Black Hatter who makes a killing gaming the search engines.

Project Black Mask is not for the fainthearted, as it employs some notorious "black hat" strategies to suck traffic from the search engines. Essentially, PBM teaches exactly how some of the biggest search-engine spammers pull off getting thousands of pages and websites indexed in order to earn money from Google Adsense.

Unfortunately, there are some serious issues with this whole search-engine game - the first of which is that this type of behavior, considered highly unethical in some quarters, has caused Google and other search engines to tighten their algorithms so much that white or gray hat sites are getting penalized as well, e.g., for "duplicate content."

Furthermore, as I read Project Black Mask, I kept asking, "How do you keep your Adsense account from being canceled?" PBM provides no real answer to this problem - yet, the chances of losing your account appear to be pretty good if you're uploading thousands and thousands of pages of spammy content that include your Adsense ID in them. In PBM, Goad refers to "Adsense accounts" in the plural, but, unless you are opening up accounts in the name of several shell companies, for example, I don't see how you could have more than one account.

Most of the techniques are not for me, but there was some really good information regarding building large keyword lists, as well as other very useful information concerning internet marketing strategies in general.

In any event, if you like living on the edge and dangerously, you may like Project Black Mask. Even if you don't want to implement the black-hat methods, you will likely gain some useful insights into how money is made online. <bio>Jamie Clarkson has been online since 1995.
How do we trust enough to trust abundance? It's a koan or at least a dilemma. A few nights ago, a friend shared how he recently worked with his <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fears" rel="tag">fears and limiting beliefs around money, trust, and abundance.

For six years he had been "at a loss"--literally, unable to figure out why he was living in poverty while everyone around him seemed to manifest abundance so easily. A few weeks ago, he decided to stop asking why and started to simply "walk the walk" of abundance. It started with his awareness that he was out of integrity with himself and his church. His church asks its members to agree to tithe 10% of their earnings to charity. Although he had made the agreement, he had been skimping, telling himself that he didn't have enough money for food or rent so how could he possibly give 10%?

When he confronted this, he made a decision to tithe 10% anyway, even if it meant going hungry. He made one other behavioral change to stop reinforcing his fear of lack. He stopped letting his gas tank get dangerously close to empty or even running out of gas. From the moment he stopped letting the fear of lack control him, his business began to boom. Within two weeks, he was booked with work for the next three months and has since given the overflow to other contractors.

So how do we trust enough to trust God/the Universe? This is where faith and "working in concert" come in. Faith means allowing God/the Universe to provide even though we can't know ahead of time how things will work out. Faith is trusting, even with our fears and limiting beliefs. Working in concert means not sabotaging God/the Universe through behaviors that reinforce our fears and limiting beliefs. It means acting as if--as if we have perfect faith, as if it will all work out, as if we can help ourselves and others even when we don't see how.

This is what my friend did by tithing and by filling up his gas tank. He behaved as if his fears and limiting beliefs didn't have to be true or run the show anymore. I acknowledge him for his hard-won mastery of trust. He is an inspiration. <bio>Jane Straus is a trusted life coach, dynamic keynote speaker, and the author of Enough Is Enough!: Stop Enduring and Start Living Your Extraordinary Life.
The importance of a living will is often under estimated with many thinking that one way or the other they will be taken care of. There spouse automatically gets power of attorney so he or she will know what's best. This a common mistake leading many into a nightmare once the need for a will or living will arises.

It is crucial that everyone realizes what stress can do to someone, especially the stress of a loved one's life dangling on a limb. Are you sure they will make the right choices for you, or even that you will make the right for them? It is this question that makes a living will so important. Everyone, no matter how healthy or ill, needs to have a living will.

A living will can be your only voice when you wouldn't otherwise have one. No one ever believes it could happen to them which makes this even more important. In the perfect world we could tell our loved ones what we want and they would do exactly as we say, however our world is not perfect. Most importantly, in the eyes of the law, what will the doctor believe? What if your family disagrees on what may be best for you? What if your family just doesn't know what to do and waste precious time trying to figure it out? These are all things that happen every single day. A living will can make your decisions clear and make sure that you get the care you actually want.

Some people have a lawyer draft a will and living will. Others attempt to make there own. There are many websites offering forms that you can download and fill in. Online forms,do it yourself wills and even lawyer prepared living wills can and do get contested. One of the most important things to remember about a will is to have one, no matter what process you choose. The other thing to remember about a will is to keep it,insurance papers and other important documents where they can be found, not hidden where they might be lost or dis guarded. <bio>For more information on creating your own will and living will visit http://www.somelivingwill.com </bio>

Gringolandians, those living in Gringo enclaves, live such isolated and bizarrely separate lives from the Mexicans in the same town that they have on more than one occasion called me an absolute liar for the things I've reported happening in the Mexican city where I live.

One thing with which they take particular exception is what I've written about buses. I've reported the incidents in which I've been hit by buses as the result of being shoved off the dangerously narrow sidewalks in the city of Guanajuato. I also reported that two Mexican women from Puerto Vallarta, visiting Guanajuato for the first time, wrote to tell me they, too, were shoved off the sidewalk and narrowly avoided injury. I have reported numerous other cases in which gringos have been shoved off the crowded sidewalks by uncaring, fast walking youth who shove you to get around you and end up getting you hurt sometimes.

We learned of a lady, reportedly a Gringa, who was hit by a car while on the sidewalk here in Guanajuato. She was so severely injured she required emergency surgery to repair her crushed leg.

We learned just yesterday of a six-year-old girl who was run over and killed by a bus driver who was driving way too fast and wasn't able to stop in time to avoid her. The tragedy resulted in some extensive placements of what we in America would call "speed bumps" (in Spanish, topes) on this road to slow down all the recklessly fast traffic.

However, these Gringolandias living in Guanajuato's Gringolandia claim I am lying through my teeth when I report this information.

The fact is that the Mexicans driving these buses and, in some cases the cabs, are way too careless.

Now, here is some good fodder for the Gringolandians to have a meeting and discuss (they've actually had meetings about the articles I write=97their lives must be so empty they need to have a meeting to discuss me!!).

My wife and were heading out to El Campo (the country) by bus to have dinner with some Expat friends. They are true expats. They are always so encouraging. Some of the stories they've told us about Mexican life in El Campo have also been labeled by Guanajuato's Gringolandians as yet more lies from my keyboard.

My wife and I were sitting directly in back of the bus driver. When he got to the halfway point between Guanajuato and where our friends live, he slowed the bus down. I cannot even guess what the speed was because I couldn't see. I thought he was going to pull off the road and onto the shoulder to let someone out. This happens all the time. Someone wants off just anywhere, so he or she tells the driver or his assistant where to stop.

Anyway, the bus driver suddenly leapt up from the seat, leaving the bus unmanned. He shouted something at his relief guy who, by the way, looked every bit of ten years old. Then, the bus driver jumped off the still-moving bus. The relief kid casually walked toward the front of the bus, but first stopped and asked this older woman where she wanted to depart the bus. He then crawled behind the steering wheel and sped up to finish the run. The bus was driverless for about thirty seconds (according to my wife=97I was too stunned to count seconds) just moving along driverless.

The kid took over the bus, deposited us at our stop in the boondocks, and we stumbled down the lane to our friends' house.

They told us, when we related the story, they've seen this happen more than once.

Our friend usually begins screaming in her fluent Spanish at the drivers when they pull this stunt. Her husband doesn't scream but thanks the driver for not killing him today.

The point?

This stuff happens. How many must get hurt before the Gringolandians admit that living their make-believe existences, with their SUV's, shopping at the superstores, does not permit them to see this stuff. They rarely, if ever, ride the buses or walk the streets in the barrios.

Their logic: You've got to be lying, Bower. Since we've not seen or experienced it, it cannot have happened.

Just brilliant! <bio>Doug Bower http://www.zyworld.com/theolog/Page1.htm </bio>

Living room ideas are among the most sought-after designs that people want for the interior of their homes. Living room decorating does, after all, impact the most shared space in the home, and the place where you likely spend the most of your time together.

Therefore, it is important that when you're decorating your living room, you're using living room decorating ideas that fit everybody's tastes, while still being practical, appealing when guests are over, and easy to maintain. However, as so many people discover, such decorating ideas for a living room are often easier said than done. With such a long list of vital criteria, it's not difficult to understand why!

Within a room with so many different purposes, you may feel that you need an awful lot of tips for decorating a living room in order to make it livable and presentable at the same time. Don't worry, those tips are out there, and waiting for you to use them.

The following are some great living room decorating tips to help you to create a comfortable, attractive, practical space:

* Be careful when selecting your colors. When decorating a living room, light, and neutral colors are frequently the safest. This way, when you want to choose or change your furniture and accessories, you'll be able to do so with the most freedom.

* The flooring, when decorating the living room, should be classic looking and durable. This frequently means waxed hardwood floors, or neutral wall-to-wall carpeting that has given flair with area rugs.

* Interior decorating living room means proper furniture positioning.
Through a properly drafted legal document, you name someone to carry out your wishes for your medical care in the event that you are unable to make those decisions yourself. Again, you can be very specific as to what treatments you would agree to and which ones you don't want. Having your wishes on paper can take the pressure off family members to make difficult decisions regarding your care.

The document can be drafted by a lawyer, or you could do it yourself, as long as you follow all the steps that make such documents legal in your province or territory of residence.

It's also a good idea to review your living will with your doctor. The doctor can ensure that you have understood the choices in the living will and that the instruction directive is suitable for your own health situation. If needed, get the opinion from a few doctors.

How do you revoke your living will?

You may revoke your living will by communicating this desire to your doctor. You may use any means available to communicate your intent to revoke. Your mental or physical condition is not considered, so you do not need to be of sound mind. Someone acting on your behalf may also tell your doctor that you want to revoke your living will. Revocation is effective only after your doctor has been notified.

Destroying the original and all copies of your living will may revoke your living will as a practical matter. However, if you have discussed this issue with your doctor, be sure to tell your doctor that you have revoked your living will.

If you sign a new living will, be sure to revoke all prior living wills that may be inconsistent with your new living will.

Where should you store your living will?

Keep the original in a place where you or your family members may find it easily. Some lawyers suggest that you sign several copies and have each one witnessed and certified. Then, you may give an original to each of the appropriate people. However, if you change your mind and revoke your living will, make sure that you destroy all the original copies.

If you have named a health care agent, give him or her a copy of your living will. You may appoint a health care agent with a health care power of attorney or with a general durable power of attorney. Ask your lawyer for details.

Give a copy of your living will to your doctor and any medical facility where you have regular appointments. Give a copy of your living will to your family so they understand your wishes. Also, carry a wallet card stating that you have a living will, where the original is located, and who to contact to get the original.

If you put the original of your living will in a lock box or safe deposit box, make sure someone knows where it is and has access to it. Otherwise, your living will may be found too late. It is a good idea to entrust your living will to your lawyer, or at least make sure your family members know about your living will! <bio>You have the Right to choose or refuse Medical Treatment. The living room or the family room is the most common area of a house where friends, guests and visitors are ushered. An interesting look of living room says everything about the rest of the house.
Many people are surprised to learn that I, as a woman in her mid-fourties, am still choosing to live in apartments rather than buying my own home. I guess I understand the surprise since I am in fact a realtor. I have felt compelled to share many benefits to living in apartments.

I started living in apartments during my last few years of college and I have been living in apartment situations ever since. I guess I fell in love with apartments and I have had a hard time moving on. Call me crazy, but I love living in an apartment building and having neighbors all around me. I love knowing that there are people above, below and on the sides of me. I love knowing that I am surrounded by a community of people. Their is such a diversity in the people that live in my apartment building and I love this. It is, perhaps, the biggest reason that I cannot get enough of this kind of living. I have met people from all around the world just by going upstairs or downstairs in my apartment building and I have had the opportunity to build the best friendships of my life because of where I've lived.

My life is busy. Being a realtor in a large and busy city means that I have little time to relax and enjoy life outside of work. I know that many, many professionals know what I'm talking about. So another great thing about living in apartments is that it is such a low-maintenance place to live. I, for one, do not have enough time in my weeks to take care of the immense amount of upkeep that living in a home requires. So apartments are perfect for me because there is little to no maintenance to be handled in this kind of living. So if you're a busy professional or family that wants to spend life on things other than doing maintenance to a yard, then you should really consider living in apartments.

Another great benefit of living in apartments is that you have the freedom to get up and move at any time. So if you need a place to live for a few months or for just a few years, then you should consider apartment living over buying a house. The last thing you want is to be tied down to a home that you own when you are a person on the move. So consider apartments if you plan to be mobile in the months and years to come. <bio>Julee Mitchelsin is a realtor that sometimes encourages her busiest clients to opt for living in apartments. See http://www.allapartments.info for more details about apartments. </bio>

This is probably one of the most asked questions we get. "Is it possible to Make a living off of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hyips" rel="tag">HYIPs?" The answer to this question is both "Yes," and "NO". Let us explain.

"YES" people can make a living off of HYIP investing. If they have the skill the drive, and the ability to recover from major losses. In theory, it is possible and often times probable to make a good living ($20,000-$50,000) per year in the HYIP arena. The problem is however, that in order to do this, the investor needs to take a major risk. Without the financial backing in case of bad investment decisions, many individuals do not and should not even consider making HYIP investing a career. This brings us to why this question can also be answered "NO".

"NO" people can not make a living off of HYIPs unless they are extremely skilled, and are already in a good financial situation. This can be said however for stock market and bond market investing as well. If you have half a million $'s then sure, you can live off of the earnings you make in the stock and bond markets, or turn to the more risky HYIPs to earn even higher returns.

The point of this article is to show that usually if you are looking to make a living on HYIPs, then you probably won't (and should not) be able to do it without risking a very large portion of your assets. On the other hand, those people who have a great deal of money and are not looking to make a living since they have more then enough funds to live off of, are the people who can make a living off of HYIPs. If you are desparate and looking for quick cash, then you should not be investing large sums of money in this arena, however if you are wealthy and looking to increase your wealth and have fun, the HYIP arena may be right for you.

In conclusion, those looking to make a living in this arena are those that probably won't, while those people who are not looking to make a living in HYIPs are usually the ones who do, but don't need to. <bio>Member of http://www.talkgold.com/forum and http://www.TheHyipForum.com Hyip money making communities Reviewing http://www.Becomehated.com </bio>

If you're like most people, the last thing you want to think about is a will, living or otherwise. It's definitely a sobering experience to have think of dying and tying up the loose ends for when we're gone.

The creation of a living will may be even a little more difficult to face and deal with. No one wants to think of themselves as lying in a comatose state or being so ill that there's nothing medically left to do for us and that dying is the only thing left.

Still, having a living will is essential, and since we never know what will happen from day to day, you will want to have one made as soon as possible.

Because even though you may not want to confront the issue of being allowed to die without medical intervention, you more than likely have very strong views about having your life prolonged though you may be a burden to others, as well as about being in an accident of some sort that leaves you unable to state your wishes in the case of such an event's happening.

This is why having a living will is crucial. Think of the Terri Schiavo case, for example. All people had to go on was what her husband and parents had to say=97and they obviously had very different views on the subject. Had Terri had a living will, more than likely a great deal of frustration, anger and pain, not to mention time wasted and tax money spent, could have been prevented.

A living will has the ability to speak for you when you cannot speak for yourself. It is vital to answering any questions like those that came up in the Schiavo case and can eliminate the need for taking such an issue to the courts. Because once the courts get involved, we all know what happens: months and months of discussion, ruling and overruling that repeats itself in an endless cycle that does little but draw out the pain and expense.

For a living will to be legal and binding, it must be witnessed by a government official such as a notary public. There are standard living will documents that attorneys use or you can have an attorney create yours.

However, you do not have to have an attorney make your living will as long as you have it duly witnessed along with the appropriate seal. This is an alternative that appeals to many people and they make their own, but fail to make sure they're legally binding. So if you choose to go this route, make sure you legalize it. Remember, you may have an idea about your final wishes, but your family members may have another.

Finally, once you have created and made your living will legally binding, be sure that the person who will have your power of attorney is aware of the will and that they know where to find it in case it should be needed. Too often, people make living wills but don't let anyone know about it or where to find it. Hospitals will require a copy, so it is essential that whomever has your power of attorney knows about your living will and your wishes as well as where the living will is should it ever be needed. The last thing you want is to go to the effort of creating a living will and not have it adhered to because the right person doesn't know where it is! <bio>For more Living Will information: Visit http://livingwilltop4.blogspot.com We've found the top sites for free living will forms at http://livingwilltop4.blogspot.com </bio>

Cold Sores and Fever Blisters have been a blight on the human face for over 2000 years. They have been, and still are, a worldwide epidemic.

Historically, the ancient Romans were cursed with them too. In fact, they had such an outbreak of cold sores and fever blisters going on in Rome, the emperor banished kissing in public ceremonies. Today, it is estimated that nine out of every ten men, women and children over seven are infected with the virus that causes these unsightly blisters.

By the time you finish reading this short article, you will know the what, why and how of cold sores and fever blisters. You will learn the one thing you must avoid to prevent permanent damage to yourself or someone else when treating a cold sore. Finally, you will discover how to heal them and prevent future outbreaks.

Some folks call them cold sores. Others refer to them as fever blisters. Truth is, they are two different names for the same exact thing. They both are an oral herpes outbreak. Cold sores and fever blisters most commonly occur during or after physical stress such as colds (cold sore) and flu (fever blister). And that is how they got their names. Cold sores are the most common term used for these blisters.

The root cause of these hideous and painful blisters is the herpes simplex virus, type 1 or type 2. We all have various viruses in our bodies at any given time. Most, like cold and flu viruses, eventually disappear. This is not true with the herpes virus. This virus will likely stay with you your entire life.

Fortunately, the fever blisters and cold sores oral herpes virus is normally latent. Nearly a third of all those infected will never get an outbreak. They will never even know they carry the herpes virus. The other two-thirds of us will get one or more fever blisters per year.

Cold sores and fever blisters are dangerously contagious.

During an outbreak, you can easily spread the virus to someone else. You can easily spread cold sores to other areas of your body, such as your eyes. Fever blisters on the cornea can cause permanent damage or blindness. Avoid the itching temptation to touch the sore with your bare fingers. Constantly clean with alcohol on cotton balls or swabs. Coat them with a virus killing oil such as garlic or oregano oil. Don't be kissing anyone, anywhere.

How frequent and severe your cold sores depend greatly on your physical condition.

It depends on the strength of your immune system. There are several easy ways others have used to quickly heal and prevent cold sores and fever blisters.

Lysine is a popular natural remedy for the herpes virus. It works quite well at a dosage of 1000 to 3000 mg. per day during the event. Those who get frequent blisters often do well taking a daily maintenance dosage of 500 mg. If you can get by without the maintenance dosage you might be better off. Studies have shown that the body may develop a tolerance to lysine.

Every person who is prone to cold sores and fever blisters should be taking a good quality multi-vitamin. This is critical today for a high level of health. It helps to reduce the effects of stress and give you a stronger immunity. And by good quality I do not mean the drug store one or two-per-day junk vitamin pills. They do not contain enough nutrients for your body to notice. And, they often do not dissolve during digestion. I have personally seen them in bedpans.

You could still read the brand name on them.

Quite honestly, you will get more nutrition from two ounces of broccoli. Go to a vitamin store or check on-line. Expect dosages of six capsules or three large tablets per day. Better yet, dosage packets are becoming real popular today. That is what I am currently using.

Should the oral herpes virus break through the immune sentries, and you start to feel a burning or itching sensation on your lip or nose, get some ice or something cold on it immediately. This will often send the virus back into hibernation.

Herpes simplex virus does not like cold. Acting quickly with the ice is an easy and proven way many cold sore victims use to prevent cold sores and fever blisters. <bio>Denny Bodoh is a 35-year newspaper veteran and natural health research writer.

Want to know more about Cold Sores and Fever Blisters, and what you can do to prevent Cold Sores ?
Are you searching for fresh and accurate info about cold sore events? Maybe you are seeking information for your cold sore, or that of a family member. Whatever the reason you are reading this, the more cold sores information you have, the less threatening they will be.

In this article, I will give you great info about cold sore attacks that you can use. You will discover, in a minute, practical and fresh info about cold sores that you will not find anywhere else.

Cold sores are not new. Yes, they certainly are an epidemic of global proportions today. But, according to history, cold sore outbreaks were epidemic even 2000 years ago. Over 59% of the world population today will get a cold sore in the next 24 months. Most will have multiple cold sores during that time.

How many do you get per year? The average is three to four outbreaks per 12-month period.

The root cause of a cold sore outbreak is an active herpes simplex virus. There are two types of this virus that are known to cause cold sores. Herpes simplex type 1 causes 79% of the facial sores. Type 2 herpes is the cause of the other 21%.

A sore created by either type of herpes is identical in look, feel, and duration time. There is six other herpes simplex viruses that cause diseases such as mono, chicken pox, and shingles.

No info about cold sore events should be presented without mention of how easy it is for spreading cold sore virus. Simply put, cold sores are EXTREMELY AND DANGEROUSLY CONTAGIOUS. Your cold sore virus, when active, can be spread to others by touch, or by commonly used objects, such as faucets. You can also easily spread it to other areas of your own body. The most feared is infecting your eye. Such an event can cause permanent loss of vision. Usual cause of spreading cold sore virus to the eyes is contaminated fingers.

The herpes simplex virus is sub-microscopic. Tiny indeed. Similar size viruses are head cold and flu viruses. When you have a head cold or flu, your mouth and nasal fluids contain these viruses. Same is true with active cold sores. When you sneeze or cough, these viruses can become airborne in droplets of moisture and infect people near you.

Fortunately, cold sores will generally stay in the same area as the initial infection site. They have not, as yet, been known to spread internally. A close cousin, chicken pox, does spread internally and creates sores all over the body. Fortunately, one bout with chicken pox is all you will likely have in a lifetime.

This is not so with cold sores.

Your cold sore attacks can reoccur many times over your lifetime. With each cold sore event, your body creates additional anti-bodies to protect you. However, the cold sore virus is extremely good at hiding and survival. Because of this, the herpes simplex virus will likely be with you for life.

Only recently have scientists discovered why.

The herpes simplex virus will hide in your nerve cells in the nerve ganglia near your ear - for facial cold sores. Not only does this virus hide in the nerve cell, it actually takes control of it. Each of your cells is programmed to die and be reborn. The cold sore virus interferes with this process and will not let the cell die. In addition, the virus will hibernate in such a way that it gives off little or no signs of life that could be tracked by our body defenses. Over the centuries, it truly has adapted for survival.

The open, weeping cold sore occurs when the herpes virus replicates. The virus senses when your immunity is down or distracted. It then becomes active and quickly moves to the surface through the nerve fibers. Once at the surface, each virus enters a nerve cell. It then forces the cell to create clones of itself. When the cell is full, the original virus kills the cell to release the new viruses. These new viruses are complete and full size, identical to the original virus.

You have now learned that the root cause of cold sores is the replication process of the herpes simplex virus. You have also discovered that this virus is a master at hiding.

It hides undetected from our own body defenses and all the medications invented so far. And finally, you now know that cold sore virus is not just an inconvenience but is dangerously contagious. The ease of spreading cold sore virus is why it is an epidemic today.

I hope this helps in your search for info about cold sore. <bio>Denny Bodoh is a 35-year newspaper veteran and dedicated natural health research writer.

Want to get more Info About Cold Sore Events and what you can do to prevent Cold Sores ? There are several well known companies that are branching out and expanding their home design collections into the area rug collections. There are many reasons that you may want to consider adding a designer rug to your living room. Of course, you may not need one of these, but this is not the same for everybody. Although designer rugs can be used anywhere in your home, you should really consider what it offers if added to your living room. For many years homeowners have been doing this, and you should look into this option.

Here are three reasons that adding a designer rug to your living room may be the way to go. You should also consider any other reasons that come to mind. After all, it is your home that you are going to be decorating.

1. If the floors in your living room do not look good, why not add a designer rug? For instance, you may have old carpeting or hardwood floors that are worn out. Instead of having to deal with this everyday of your life, you could add a nice sized designer rug in order to cure this problem. In most cases, adding a designer rug is going to be much more cost effective than getting your existing flooring replaced or refinished.

2. Even if your living room floors are in immaculate condition, you may still want to consider adding a designer rug. As you can imagine, a designer rug is anything but bland and boring. If you add one of these you may be able to bring much needed color and life to your room. Many homeowners have found out that adding a rug is the last piece that they needed in order to tie their living room together.

3. Although designer rugs will look good, you should never forget about the functionality that they also offer. In other words, you should know that a designer rug is also going to keep your flooring clean. As mentioned above, you may have nice looking carpeting at this time. And of course, you want to keep it that way, right? If so, adding a designer rug will allow you to keep your floor clean, while also giving you a classy look. Does it get any better than that?

These are just three reasons that you will want to consider adding a designer rug to your living room. Before you make a purchase, take the time to make sure that this is what you want to do. A designer rug may or may not be right for your living room. There are a lot of factors to consider, and many things that are specific to your home. But even if you do not end up buying a designer rug, you will be glad that you considered this option in the end. After all, you never know when you will decide to buy one of these for your home. <bio>John James blogs about home d=E9cor, interior design and other home style related topics at BoldRugs. http://www.boldrugs.com/ </bio>

You don't need to be an economics major to figure out that if health care is going up 10% or more every year while income is only going up 4%, things are looking too good. It is entirely possible for a person to work their entire life and retire with a nest egg of $200,000 or more only to have it wiped out by one major medical issue. This is especially the case when machines must be used to keep you alive due to a severe injury or illness. It is in tragic times like these that a living will can be the difference between saving or breaking a family--economically at least.

A living will is a legal document granting another person the right to cease treatment in the event a person becomes unable to live, eat, and function without the aid of machines or medical care. A feeding tube may be removed, a ventilator turned off, or any other machine or device that is being used to keep a person alive may be discontinued or turned off if the executor of a living will determines so.

Of course, there are certain conditions that must be met in order for the executor of a living will to be able to make the decision to cease treatment. Unfortunately, there are no uniform and concrete set of conditions to be met in a living will because they differ from state to state.

In general, however, physicians must determine that a person is unlikely to improve and in a debilitative or painful state. Also, the person must not be able to care for themselves and thus require a machine or other medical device in order to remain alive. At that point, a person with a living will can have treatment terminated if the executor requests doctors to do so.

Of course, there are instances when a living will is contested by other family members not named in the living will. In most cases, the courts have ruled in favor of the wishes made clear in the living will and rarely ordered the continuation of treatment. And honestly, that treatment is very expensive and run into the thousands of dollars--each and every day.

No one wants to see the passing of a loved one but no one wants to see them suffer, either. If a person took the time to have a living will drafted and they found themselves in a situation covered by the document, then chances are they would want treatment stopped. While an unpleasant topic, the fact remains that medical situations arise where the person will not recover and is only being kept alive by machines. Prolonging life at that point only costs everyone more suffering, confusion, and money. A living will is the responsible alternative that takes a potentially painful decision out of other people's hands and puts it squarely in yours--where it belongs. <bio>Living Will Hub is an information site that contains links, a directory and other Living Will Information.
Whether it is for entertaining visitors or simply lounging in front of the television, your living room is the place where you will spend most of your leisure time. It makes sense, then, that it be nicely furnished. The specific furnishings are, of course, a matter for your own individual tastes, but there are several features that no living room should be without.

Something you must decide before decorating your living room is this: what should be its focus? Every good living room needs a focal point, a single attracting aspect. The secret of a beautiful room, then, is in deciding what that will be.

The majority of living rooms, of course, focus on the television. It doesn't matter if you watch a lot of TV or rarely switch it on. The television simply offers a sensible focus to tie your room together -- essentially, something to point the chairs towards. However, a more attractive option may be to focus on a fireplace -- or, if you don't have a fireplace, perhaps a coffee table.

The focal point you choose depends entirely on what is your intended use of your space. For a family with young children, using the television as a focal point makes eminent sense. After all, the TV will probably be in use an awful lot. If, however, the room is primarily used for conversation or entertaining, it may be a better use of space to place a low table in the center of the room and surround it with seating.

Whatever you choose, it's important that you select good quality, attractive living room furniture that will be both comfortable and adaptable. As the nerve center of the home, the living room needs to adapt to fit the needs of the family. To help design your living room to be easily adaptable, there are three simple tricks you can use:

- Light Furniture

Light, versatile, easy-to-move seating allows you to rearrange the layout of your living room to accommodate guests much more easily than with bulky suites. You could go as far as to use wicker furniture for the ultimate in adaptability.

- Lots of Tables

The secret to a comfortable living room is simply to have several small end tables available.
