So, you've finished moving. You decided to buy moving boxes to help make the process easier. Now everything is unpacked and the boxes are sitting in your apartment creating clutter. You can't fully enjoy your new place until all of those boxes are gone.

The problem is, the boxes were expensive and you can't justify breaking them up and throwing them out or putting them in the recycling bin. So you are wondering =96 can you sell them?

The answer to that question is not as simple as it seems. On the one hand, if you sell them you can make some money. On the other hand, second hand boxes may not work as well as they did when they were new. These are things to consider when deciding if you can sell them.

What Condition Are They In?

The first thing to consider when deciding if you can sell your boxes is to determine the condition they are in. If they are still in really good shape and structurally stable, chances are that you can sell them without a problem. However, if they are in poor condition or if they are already second-hand boxes, it probably isn't worth it to try selling them back. Nobody wants a moving box that is in poor condition.

Do You Have A Place To Sell Them?

If the boxes are in good condition, you probably can sell them. Of course, the next step is to find a place to sell them. If you have a yard sale you can try to sell them there. Or you can try placing a classified ad or selling them online. However, if you can't find a good place to sell your boxes, it might not be worth the time and effort it takes to find one.

Should You Give Them Away?

Another thing you need to consider is if it is worth it to sell them or if it might be simpler to simply give them away. If the boxes are in practically new condition, you will probably want to sell them. If they aren't, you can try giving them away. People move often, and look for boxes near trash bins, grocery stores, or from friends. Sometimes it is much more difficult to find somebody willing to pay more for boxes rather than just take them off your hands for free.

Is There A Market For Used Boxes?

Most people prefer to use moving boxes to pack their things. The problem is that these types of boxes can be expensive. This creates a market for selling moving boxes, as there are many people who will want to buy used ones, especially if they are in good shape. However, if you live in a small town where people seem to stay put, you may have trouble selling your boxes. If you live in a big city you probably can sell them quickly. These are things to keep in mind when deciding whether to sell your used moving boxes. <bio>Wondering what to do with your empty moving boxes?
There are positive and negative aspects to using moving boxes during your move. After all, there are different ways that people may choose to move. Some decide that they want to move their household goods themselves. Others hire a moving company to do it. But no matter which method you use to help you move, choices need to be made about the types of boxes you will use.

Moving boxes are specially designed to keep your things safe. There are special boxes for dishes, clothes, and books. Each of these boxes is specially designed to store these items correctly so they don't get damaged.

Making the Move Yourself

When you decide to move yourself, you may be doing it because you want to save money. So, you go to your local market to find boxes that you can use. You may find an assortment of boxes ranging from boxes that hold jars and cans, boxes that hold produce, and boxes that were used to hold cereal.

However, you need to be careful of this. Household goods vary in weight. The flimsy supermarket boxes may not hold your goods adequately. Books, for example, are very heavy. So using a box that held bananas, which are fairly lightweight, to pack your books could result in your books getting damaged. But there may be things that the supermarket boxes could hold just fine.

So even if you are moving your goods yourself, it may be worth your while to choose moving boxes. They are sturdier than boxes you could scrounge up from different retail stores.

Hiring a Moving Company

Most moving companies already use special moving boxes and they have a system that works for them. However, not every moving company is the same. They may have slight differences in their boxes and packing methods. So your goal when choosing a company would be to find one that has the highest success rate. However, this only applies if the movers also do the packing.

Of course, you could also pack your own belongings and then have the moving company move it for you. However, you may need to check with them. Some companies have a policy where if something gets broken they are not responsible because they didn't pack it.

Whether or not use moving boxes is up to you. You can use them regardless if you move your own belongings, pack your own belongings, or hire a professional company. They can be a good way to keep your things safe and free from getting damaged. However, it can also be expensive. <bio>Econo-box provides shipping and moving supplies, new and used boxes, moving equipment as well as other moving accessories. http://www.econo-box.com/ </bio>

Moving Boxes: 3 things to look for

Sure, any box can be a moving box, but are your boxes reliable? Believe it or not, having the right kind of box is going to be the difference between a smooth move and a hectic one. Not having the right box can result in boxes giving out and breaking your belongings. Not having the right box can also mean that you're not packing everything you could inside of one box. That can actually increase your moving costs if you're using a moving service that charges by the hour, by the day, or by the truckload. More boxes mean more time and more space, so you want to make sure you plan this out right.

The supermarket box

Many individuals call their local supermarket and ask them if they can put boxes aside for them because they are moving. What happens is the mover finds that there are more little boxes than big boxes when they pick them up. Another thing to consider is the fact that all of these boxes have been used to ship items before and have now been broken down. This means you have to tape them back together over top of the old tape that was cut through when the employees were breaking them down. This can actually interfere with how well the bottom of the box comes together when you are taping it back together.

Supermarket boxes also consist of cardboard durability that can vary. It can be somewhat hard to determine how much weight a box can actually hold and, with all of the small boxes, you're risking having to make more trips while you move.

The moving box

Moving supply stores sell moving boxes that are meant just for moving. They are durable so that your belongings are protected and they come in the sizes you need. You do have the option to choose from new boxes or used boxes. Used boxes are going to be cheaper, of course. However, you have to ask yourself if you want boxes someone else has used before. If you don't have a problem with that, then you can go for the used box.

Here are three things you want to look for in a moving box:

• The size: You may need different sizes for different things. If you have fragile items, you don't want to stack too many of them on top of each other. However, books and other unbreakable items can be stacked until a comfortable weight is reached within the box.

• Weight: It is important that you evaluate the weight that the box is capable of holding. This is something a supermarket box won't tell you. You are safer knowing the weight because you then know how much you can put inside the box.

• Type: There are different types of boxes such as dish boxes and wardrobe boxes. These boxes are specially designed to better protect your belongings. By moving items in boxes that are especially made for those items, you are reducing the chances of damage.

What to do?

It is up to you as to what boxes you want to use, but know that the moving box is going to give you the security you need when moving items. Sometimes it's not worth taking the risk and hoping that a box won't break. Sometimes hoping that a box that is destined to break won't break isn't going to do much good. But having a box that is designed for what you're using it for and even comes with usage instructions to ensure the utmost safety of your items is worth the cost.<bio>Eco-box is a moving box, shipping and packing supply store that includes used and recycled moving boxes.
One of the most important items you can buy for your cat is a cat litter box. If you have a cat/s you will want to make a wise choice when it comes to cat litter boxes.

There are some things to think about before you go cat litter box shopping. There are many different features you will want to consider.

Think about the material that the cat litter boxes are made from. You will find that you will have more than one choice.

There are different styles of litter boxes. For instance, would you rather have a hooded litter box or one without a hood?

What about vents? There are litter boxes that have vents and others that do not. There are also some litter boxes that are designed with odor control pads.

What size litter box are you looking for? This will depend on the size of your cat. If you have a cat that may grow quite big you will want a litter box that will accommodate her size. Cats are not usually fond of using a litter box that is too small. This can lead to urine and feces that do not quite make it into the litter box.

There are cat litter boxes that are opaque and others that are see-through. You will also have several color choices.

One of the most important considerations for many cat owners and litter boxes is the durability factor. It can be rather irritating to have to keep buying cat litter boxes because they crack and break or don't hold up to multiple cat use.

Some people love the automated cat litter boxes. There are some advantages to these litter boxes but if you go this route you will need to remember to check on your cat's litter box habits from time to time.

Another factor when choosing a cat litter box (http://www.petsupplies4ypc.com/catlittr.html) is how easy it will be to clean. There are litter boxes that are made from materials that make cleaning the litter box a breeze.

Choose wisely and you will find the best cat litter box for your situation. <bio>Dustin Cannon is owner of http://www.JustArticlesVIP.com and writes on a variety of subjects.
In every true sense, an antique is said to be any item (may not be essentially artistic in nature) that is over a century year old. People collect all kinds of antiques, but undoubtedly among the most fascinating are antique boxes. For sure, I don't expect you to share my view as all antiques are personal favorites. But I personally feel that antique boxes signify the spirit of the antique that we all find so fascinating.

In my opinion, antique boxes spell treasure. In my earlier days, I spent a lot of time reading stories of treasure chests and pirates like Robinson Crusoe, Swiss family Robinsons, Treasure Island and the like.

In a number of these stories, one would read about these antique boxes that were filled with the promise of treasure even though there was no true treasure. But ever since, antique boxes have held a remarkable fascination for me.

I was truly surprised when I stopped at my regular bookshop and discovered that he had quite a number of antique boxes displayed prominently at the counter. What's more he had gone a step further to pack these antique boxes with books to reinforce the treasure that lay in books and reading, however I was simply consumed by the sight, smell and look of those antique boxes.

Almost immediately I rushed in to ask him where he had procured them. Though to me, he was more than an acquaintance and was aware about my fascination with antique boxes. Even then, he pretended ignorance for a while before breaking down helplessly in laughter. As he sat there with tears of mirth flowing down his eyes, I could not but help wonder anxiously about the antique boxes and how he had managed to get his hands on them. He did however tell me the truth, as soon as he calmed down sufficiently. Well, it seems that there were quite a number of people like me around the world who also found ancient antique boxes (with or without any treasure) fascinating. As a result one proactive Chinese company had decided to capitalize on this attraction by making near real replicas of antique boxes. Despite the fact I was initially disappointed, a closer look led me to believe that if the boxes I saw were replicas of antique boxes, then they were sure damn good replicas. In spite of the reasonable price tag though unlike the real thing, I decided instantly to get a couple of them for myself. Today, I too am a proud owner of a couple of antique boxes. <bio>Glen B.
When moving, it is inevitable that you need boxes to place all of your belongings in. Could you imagine taking all of your things and placing them inside a moving truck without having something to put everything in? That would literally take you forever and it is that very reason why moving boxes are so important in the moving process. That's worse than going to a supermarket and having all of your items placed inside the cart without bags. Your time placing the items in your car could double, triple, or even quadruple without them. Now just imagine moving an entire house that way. But the invention of the moving box has made the entire moving process easier.

However, boxes are made out of paper and paper is made out of trees. That means that more and more trees are cut down to make these beloved moving boxes that make our lives easier. Then there is the fact that many of these moving boxes end up meeting their demise in the dump rather than being reused. It is here that they become mushy messes of wet paper that really isn't all that great for the environment. That box could have been sold or given to a moving supply store to be reused by other movers. That means less demand for moving boxes, so fewer trees are cut down to meet the demand. That also means no mushy cardboard adding to the demise of our environment.

Acquiring used moving boxes

You can go to your local moving supply store and purchase boxes to move with. You can buy them brand new in bulk, and boy do those new boxes look beautiful. They look so beautiful that it is hard to resist them. However, the moving supply store may also give you the option to purchase used boxes at a cheaper price. This can leave you rather torn because those new boxes look so great, but those used boxes are so much cheaper. What do you do?

Here's another scenario to think about: If you have ever called your local supermarket and told them you needed large boxes, then you are reusing boxes. There was some type of merchandise that was shipped in that box before you got a hold of it and it seemed to hold up pretty good, right? So why not go for the used boxes at the moving supply store? Or if you have enough time, you can call up your local supermarket and ask them to hold boxes for you when they process their next shipment. No matter what you do, you are doing something great for the environment by not going for those brand new boxes that will perform in the same manner as the brand new ones.

Are there any cons?

There are cons no matter which way you look at it. The new boxes are more expensive when moving is expensive enough. The old boxes have been used by others and could possibly have fleas or spiders in them. The supermarket boxes have come from places that you are not familiar with, so you don't know what might be inside of them. However, spiders, fleas, and other annoyances exist within the moving supply store. You never know when a spider might crawl up into that crisp new box. You don't even know where those boxes were before they arrived to the store. They had to be shipped there somehow as well, right? So don't let any of that bother you. Think about the environment and what you are doing to make the world a better place to live. Every little bit counts.<bio>A major provider of used moving supplies EcoBox adheres to the Buy Green, Save Green principle putting money back in your pocket while saving the environment.</bio>

The tool box is a reliable storage area to store the gear you don't want to get damaged. You can also lock it to protect your valuable items.

It seems some of the more sought after boxes are the ones made from diamond aluminum tread plate and those made from stainless steel. These are usually polished or powder coat finishes. Others on the market are made from molded plastic products, and steel. There are a lot of these truck tool boxes on the back of pickup trucks all over United States and Canada.

Truck tool boxes come in all different shapes and sizes to suit your needs as well as specialty boxes, storage boxes and chests you can even use at home. There are some made to sit along the side of your truck, up under your truck and even models made to fit on the tongue of trailers. If you do any type of hunting that requires a dog, there are dog boxes available that are like a kennel underneath and a place to store your rifles, guns and other gear above. You can get single lid, double lid, shallow well, deep well, low profile and more. The trailer tongue storage boxes are very convenient allowing you to store items in an easy to get at place, protected from weather and thieves.

If you have a truck tool box or want to purchase one but also want a tonneau cover don't despair because they make tonneau covers to suit truck tool boxes. This allows you the best of both worlds.

If you buy power tools or other electronic tools and carry them in your pickup truck, I don't have to tell you how important it is to keep them dry and locked up. A truck tool box is the perfect answer. Not only is your gear locked up but just as important it is out of sight. Most of the time thieves don't bother with what they can't see.

For a great investment for your valuable gear, to keep it protected from the weather, thieves or to just keep it from rolling around in your truck bed, get yourself a truck tool box.
One of the most significant chores that goes into caring for a cat, other than feeding and giving it attention, is ensuring that the cat litter boxes in your home are taken care of. Depending on your feline friend, this can be a simple or difficult task, as some cats seem to naturally take to using cat litter boxes while others have to be coaxed.

Of course, no one wants a pet to use a potted plant or their floor as its own personal bathroom, so it's in your best interest to get your cat to go where you want it to. If you're having problems with litter box training, there are a number of things to check in order to ensure your cat is happy with its bathroom area.

Give it Room

Cats want to have space when they use the bathroom, so make sure they have the space they need to do it in. Cat litter boxes with hoods are wonderful for hiding the unsightly inside of the box, and some cats enjoy the privacy. But if you have a big cat who can't turn around easily in it, you may have a cat that will be uncomfortable using the litter box. Make sure your litter box is large enough that your cat can turn easily rather than having to creep in and out and you'll have a happier cat.

Keep it Clean

Cats are fastidious critters, and just as you wouldn't want to use a filthy bathroom, they don't want to use messy cat litter boxes. If you do your part to help with litter box hygiene, your cat will be more likely to use the litter box. The most important thing is to clean your cat litter boxes at least once a day, since the longer it sits there, the more likely cat waste will develop awful odors, which are more unpleasant to sensitive cat noses than they are to even you. Also, make sure to empty, clean, and disinfect the box at least once a month to help keep control of bacteria.

Pay Attention to Location

If you have a box that's somewhat out in the open and your cat isn't using it, there's a chance that it prefers cat litter boxes with a little more privacy. Some cats like to be alone when they use the bathroom. If you have a multi-storey house, add a box on all floors. Finally, make sure that you have enough litter boxes for all your cats. Use a common rule of thumb: one box for each cat, plus one extra. With a little care and attention to the purchase, placement, and maintenance of your cat litter boxes, you can help ensure your feline friend stays happy and goes where it should. <bio>Andy Manified is the owner of http://www.on-cat-litter.com, THE best source of information to help you out with the messy aspect of your best friend. </bio>

On their promotional pill boxes is usually the name of the pharmacy and the phone number, so customers have it on hand, or if not big enough, they include only the phone number, which helps customers.

Promotional pill boxes can carry a weeks worth of pills to one day's worth of pills. Shapes are unending in the size of promotional pill boxes, as are the amount of pills that they will hold.

Promotional pill boxes fit into a pocket or a purse, making them easy to retrieve.

Customers appreciate this as they will always have the phone number at hand to call in for refills.

Another plus to promotional pill boxes is users are easily reminded to take their medications, where throwing the bottles into a purse or not having them with you, causes the missing of important medications.

Promotional pill boxes are usually made of polypropylene, holding from one day to one month in pills. They can even be used for other things as well as pills, like a promotional pill box key chain. There are so many things different size promotional pill boxes can be used for besides pills. A single compartment small pill box can carry a child's first tooth they lose. Or a chain that broke that you don't want to lose, so you put it in a pill box.

With a round promotional pill box there are numerous uses, over those listed above. Your hands are swollen and you need to take your rings off. Put them into the round pill box and you won't lose them. Little earring studs are hurting your ears, put them into the round or other shaped pill box. The list could go on and on. Just let your imagination work on this. If you use one for pills, always keep another promotional pill box for other items.

Another shape of a pill box is a heart shape. These pill boxes are excellent for putting heart medication in with a small list of what is being taken.

It is always important to carry a list of medications that you are taking with you at all times. If something were to happen to you, and you couldn't talk, this information, as well as the name of your doctor and next of kin is important to them.

So, promotional pill boxes have numerous uses other than just pills, although that is their main purpose.<bio>Miles Lovegrove is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of promotional pill boxes and other Promotional Products at www.fluidbranding.com. But how you can be sure that you have indeed purchased a highly collectible Reuge music box? We'll be covering how you can find and select such music boxes in this article.

When you think of collectible Reuge music boxes, think of the best and most exclusive music boxes available on the market. But how you can be sure that you have indeed purchased a highly collectible Reuge music box? We'll be covering how you can find and select such music boxes in this article.

Reuge music boxes are truly special items. The first creator of these fine music boxes was Charles Reuge, who handmade music boxes in a small town in Switzerland. Due to their fine craftsmanship, these music boxes spread far and wide. After his death, his son continued in his footsteps. In fact, the workshop is still there at the same address, in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland.

Collectible music boxes are hand made. The workshop in Saint-Croix in world renowned for producing some of the finest and rarest music boxes around the world, so make sure you are getting the real deal. For the music box connoisseur, it is best to make a trip to Switzerland in order to select the limited edition models that may not be sold at many stores because of their price and limited quantity. You can also ask the locals of that little town if they own any Reuge music boxes. They are likely to own some of the first and best models, maybe even those handmade by Charles Reuge himself. If you are able to acquire such pieces, you are a lucky owner of a rare and highly collectible Reuge music box.

The size of the music box and the tune are also an important determinant in a collectible. Bigger boxes tend to be harder to maintain and keep. The cost to acquire them was also high, making it affordable only to the wealthy. The tune is also important because if you had popular tunes, people would be more willing to buy it than to acquire one that plays an obscure tune especially in the case of non-interchangeable music boxes. The materials used to make good music boxes were rare and expensive, such as rose wood, which made them rather resilient to aging if well-taken care of.

Another good place to check is online specialty stores that sell collectible music boxes. If you do some research you might find a Reuge music box worth collecting. Make sure they are old, in good condition (for its age) and is limited in quantities. It's a pretty good bet that if you have one from the early 1900s that the music box is hard to find. If you are not an expert at fixing these music boxes, make sure you have an idea what restoring a piece might cost. Otherwise, it's a lot better to go ahead and pay the premium for a working music box than to take the risk of paying exorbitant restoration costs for a collectible music box. The price will also tell you a lot of things. Highly collectible music boxes don't come cheap.

Reuge music boxes are items of a highest quality, so any item of any color, size or material can be highly collectible as long as the numbers of items you can find on the market are limited. In fact, at the beginning of the career, Charles Reuge hand made some limited edition music boxes, which now own a special status: highly collectible Reuge music boxes.

The best places to find highly collectible Reuge music boxes are: rare art and collectibles auctions, Saint-Croix and specialty stores.

Since these music boxes can be prohibitively expensive for most, a good strategy is to purchase contemporary Reuge music boxes.
One of the facts of modern life is that we all accumulate a lot of andquot;stuffandquot; over the years. Nearly every house has a garage, shed, basement or attic that's brimming with miscellaneous items. At the very least, there's always a closet that you're afraid to open for fear of being caught in an avalanche of board games, old coats and Christmas decorations.

For organizing the clutter in your life, storage boxes are an invaluable resource.

They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are made from many different materials to accommodate your needs. Some are airtight (good for delicate old photos, documents or valuable comic books), while others are just sturdy cardboard or plastic (for more rugged items like blankets and sports equipment).

Before undertaking a plan to organize a closet or garage, you should first get the storage boxes you'll need. Consider what type of clutter you're dealing with. If there are a lot of documents, papers and certificates, a simple file box may suffice. Other items may need larger, sturdier containers, so consider whether the container should be transparent or whether simply marking the outside with a description of its contents will be enough.

If your clutter will require many boxes to organize, try to get storage containers that are modular -- that is, they can be easily stacked and organized. If you wind up with several different-shaped containers that don't fit together well, you're no better off than when you started.

Something else to take into account is whether the things being stored are things you'll need access to on a regular basis. You can buy stackable bins that are open at one end, making it easy to get things when you need them. Put the things you won't need very often together and put those storage boxes under the other ones.

In fact, if it's something you NEVER need, you might consider getting rid of it altogether. Sometimes that's the best way to deal with unorganized clutter. <bio>Jon Kilminster writes for http://www.storageboxworld.com, a website packed with information on Magazine Storage Boxes and Wooden Storage Boxes </bio>

Moving is almost always a hassle, but the more you prepare, the less trouble you`ll have. It pays to figure out your moving costs and how many moving boxes you`ll need ahead of time, since it allows you to get all moving supplies early. When it comes time to pack, you`ll be able to just sit down and pack everything up, without having to run out to get more boxes halfway through because you drastically overestimated how much stuff you have.

One of the biggest problems that people have is just figuring out how much will fit into a moving box. There are a few easy ways to estimate this, though. To start with, you will want to have standard moving boxes, which are going to be the same sizes. This will let you estimate more accurately. Here are five of those methods:

1. Pack one box first. By packing a box first off, you`ll get a good idea of just how much can fit into one moving box , whether it`s a large, medium or small box. This is particularly true if you are packing similar items, such as clothing or dishes. Keep in mind that moving materials like newspaper or bubble wrap will take up a fair amount of room, as well.

2. Use a box calculator. While fairly simplistic, these calculators require that you input the size of your home, number of people living there and a few other important factors before telling you how many boxes will be needed and what sizes they should be. These usually let you know how much of a variety of moving supplies like tape and labels you`ll need, as well.

3. Measure with your body. If a box is as wide as you hand from fingertips to elbow, it`s reasonable to assume that an object longer than this won`t fit well in the box. You can also use this to guesstimate the number of books, cds or DVDs that will fit into a moving box. Use fingers to estimate the amount of space items will take up, as well. This is easiest with things that are on shelves where they are easily measured.

4. Ask your mover. Movers are experienced in the art of estimating how many boxes you`ll need and they usually know about how much will fit into just one. It`s worth talking to your mover about this before you get packing and you`ll have a much easier go of it. Many movers also offer moving supplies, so you can discuss what you`ll need and then have it delivered to your door so you can pack faster.

5. Opt for medium moving boxes. While smaller or larger ones can be useful for specific items that you have in mind, the standard medium moving box works well with just about everything in the home, including most kitchen utensils, pots, pans, toys and anything you find in the bathroom. They can also be used to pack your dresser. Estimate a drawer per box.

Knowing roughly how many moving boxes you need before you start to move will allow you to make the move with less stress. There will be no need to search out boxes and moving materials at the last minute. You can pack more efficiently when you have the right number of boxes, too. Remember to always err on the side of caution and when in doubt, order more boxes to ensure that you have extras on hand for the items you may have forgotten.<bio>EcoBox moving boxes : Buy Green, Save Green</bio>

There are many storage options to consider while digital photo camera shopping. These options can be chosen because of their price range, storage capacity, and whether the storage options are digitalized or made of cardboard. The value that people place on their photographic endeavors, lead them to spend more money, than is necessary at times.

The storage options to consider while digital photo camera shopping can be simplified if you have the funds to purchase a digital storage box. This storage device will hold up to 100 GB of photographic images and cut down on the number of memory cards that you will need to keep in your camera bag. These digital storage devices are small and easy to keep in the camera bag to use when your digital camera runs out of memory.

Other storage options to consider while digital photo camera shopping are based on sentiment. There are media and photo keepsake boxes that you can buy that will let you protect your photographs from dust and dirt, and these keepsake boxes are see-through containers that allow you to see what's inside anytime you like. These are great for storing photographs or over 32 CDs or DVDs for a long period of time.

Some of the more stylish storage options to consider while digital photo camera shopping are the photo boxes with the multi-frame lids on them. These storage boxes are finished in a walnut grain and feature six photo frames in the lid that you can display your favorite photos in. These storage boxes are perfect to use as wedding gifts or hold other special occasion photographs that you might have.

If you have large photographs to store, you might find storage options to consider while digital photo camera shopping that are not only colorful, but are manufactured or built to hold photographs that are sized up to as 8 x 10 photographs. These digital camera photo storage boxes are generally a transparent color that will allow you to view the contents whenever you like. The bright colors in these storage boxes make people want to use them for other storage needs too.

Some storage options to consider while digital phone camera shopping will keep you in tune with your family budget plan. There are storage boxes available that typically cost under $6 and are available in various colors that can be used for other storage projects throughout the home. For storing photographs though, people like them because they will hold 1100 photographs in each one. People will buy these boxes and place family names on them for family album projects in the future.

There are some very creative storage options to consider while digital photo camera shopping too. People not only have the photo storage options opportunities in some storage boxes they find at major furniture retailers, but they also have photo boxes that have stackable drawer features that can be used in family rooms. These stackable drawers are roomy and are a perfect way to end clutter in many rooms of the house. <bio>Daniel Smith writes about http://www.photocameradeals.com </bio>

I just happen to love window boxes and miss seeing them in the more modern neighborhoods these days. My neighbors who lived across the street from us had just painted their older rather plain, small house a medium gray with white trim. Clean, but boring I thought. With two large windows on each side of the front door, I had visions of painting the front door red and adding 2 red window boxes beneath those windows. Talk about adding some impact!

Window boxes can take a plain nondescript house and give it the look of a charming country cottage in no time. Window boxes are also particularly wonderful when you are limited for planting space in a small yard. You can fill them with low growing and trailing flowers, vines or even herbs. You may be hard put to find ready-made window boxes at your local garden store these days, but they are still available online.

If you want to make your own window boxes, cedar or redwood would be the wood of choice. If you can't find some kind of a plastic or metal liner to fit, I would further protect the wood by lining the boxes with plain old tarpaper before adding the planting mix. You can then mount them to the window frames with the proper sized brackets. Your neighborhood hardware store can guide you in the right direction.

Make sure you drill some holes in he bottom of the window boxes for good drainage and water daily during the summer months. Once every few weeks are so, add some fertilizer for container plants, then sit back and enjoy beautiful blooms from both the outside and inside of the house.

Some good flower choices for window boxes would be geraniums, marigolds, trillium, alyssum, and any other low growing flowers that love the sun. For the shady side of the house, try fuchsias or the beautiful non-stop begonias. Some useful herb choices would include chives, rosemary, parsley and thyme. If you like fresh mint, don't plant any other herb in that particular window box as the mint will take over all other plants. <bio>Liz Norman is an avid gardener and freelance writer.
In today's era of frequent job changes, global markets and an unstable economy people are finding that moving house is becoming a bigger part of their lives. Going from place to place and carting all your precious cargo with you is as commonplace now as changing cars used to be.

While it's exciting to relocate to a new place, the act of moving itself is not fun, and no one enjoys the process. Even seasoned world travelers would prefer to just wake up in their new home with everything miraculously unpacked and organized for them. Unfortunately for most of us our finances dictate that we do the bulk of the heavy lifting ourselves.

The Stress Of Moving

Moving is a stressful process. There are so many things that have to be taken care of when we move that it can seem overwhelming at first. A giant 'to do' list accompanies any change of address, even if you are just moving down the street.
The trick is to become an expert in the 'art of moving'. This will help to lower your general stress levels and make the transition to wherever you are going that much easier.

What Do The Experts Do?

The single biggest issue when it comes to moving (and the one people tend to forget about) that will make or break your day, literally, has to do with boxes. Yes, cardboard boxes are the most important part of any relocation process. Experts understand this, most regular people don't.

Generally when us regular folk have to move, we start making trips to the supermarket to beg for old stock boxes or sometimes we borrow boxes from friends out of garages that haven't seen the light of day for a long time. We look in the back of our offices for filing boxes and anything that has four sides and is made of cardboard that we think will be fine for Grandma's fine china. This has traditionally been the way most people pack.

Of course when the professional movers show up to load our boxes into the truck they inevitably quote more and shake their heads as they try to stack misshapen and uneven boxes in the back. When Grandma's fine china comes crashing through the flimsy cardboard of the borrowed boxes they remind us that their relocation insurance doesn't cover grocery boxes that we packed ourselves.

This is the reality of moving day.

Not All Cardboard Was Created Equal

Cardboard boxes are designed for their intended purpose. Filing boxes are designed to hold files not books. Grocery boxes were designed to hold produce not china. If you actually spend some time looking at cardboard boxes you will see that some come reinforced and some don't. This is why it is imperative if you want your belongings to show up at your new home intact, that you buy proper moving boxes.

Investing in boxes designed specifically for relocating will save you time and money in the long run. One reason for this is that moving companies charge by the space your stuff takes up in the back of the truck. Moving boxes are designed to stack to conserve space. They are also designed to be strong enough to protect your precious cargo and most moving companies do have insurance coverage for proper moving boxes.

On top of that moving boxes won't contain creepy crawlies and insect infestations from your neighbor's garage that will set up residence in your brand new home.

Buy new or used moving boxes from a reputable company and save money on the headache medication.<bio>EcoBox specializes in moving boxes and supplies and promotes green-to-green environmental savings.</bio>

Whether you are moving to a new city or just across the town, moving and packing becomes a chore. The main requirements that come up are finding good moving boxes, truck rentals and careful packaging that will keep your delicate items and other goods safe while being transferred. Packing is not fun but an essential component of your move and good quality moving boxes are important. Professional moving boxes are heavy-duty cardboard boxes with corrugated patterns in different sizes, which is used to facilitate and ease a safe moving process.

Box type. Super strong packing boxes with protective bubble wrap or cellulose keep your delicate items such as glassware and dishes safe. But if you are looking for the best boxes, professional moving boxes become your best bet. For non fragile items, the single walled corrugated cardboard boxes are best to pack your electronic goods, television, clothes etc. while for fragile items its best to use the double lined, bubble wrap moving boxes with extra fillings of Styrofoam, to keep glass, dishes and art pieces safe.

Box strength. Usually the moving boxes are tested for strength and durability by a test known as Edge Crush test and the ECT of the box is printed on the side of the box flap, which you can check and buy accordingly. Professional movers use boxes tested for at least 200 lb or 32 ECT but there are cheaper versions also available for casual moving. You can also use huge cartons and office file boxes to keep goods that may not break or if you are shifting locally. But, long distance moving may require professional moving boxes tested for strength so that accidental opening or breakages do not happen.

Box size. Moving boxes come in a variety of shapes and sizes. You can pick according to your requirements, so check out the professional moving boxes sizes:

• Small Kits-- best to pack records and books or other heavy weight items.

• Medium --18"x14"x12" are best to pack your kitchen ware goods.

• Large--20"x20"x15" can be used to pack linen and bulky items.

• Extra large--23"x23"x16" packs TVs, toys, tall lamps and other bigger items.

• Dish pack or Kitchen boxes-- 18"x18"x20" are used to pack your kitchen items and dish boxes with a lot of packing paper to keep fragile items safe.

• Wardrobe large box--24"x24"x40" are double lined and extra wide with hanging bars for keeping your clothes pressed.

• Frame box--41" x 6"x 26" are strong enough for shipping, packing large picture frames, delicate mirrors and any other flat thin items.

• File boxes-- 16" x 12.5" x 10" are good to pack your office/ home office supplies.

For safe transit, its best to use boxes that are suited for manual handling, so choose the size to match the goods being packed inside it. Also, if you are packing yourself, ensure that each moving box is a safe lifting weight for whoever is going to move your goods.

The best aspect of moving boxes is that these are recyclable and eco friendly, being made out of cardboard so you don't have to worry about adding to the waste, after the move. If you are on the look out for buying strong moving boxes, you can either look up your local Yellow pages or directories but now even browsing online will help you as there are many companies listed which sell moving box kits that saves you a considerable amount of money.<bio>Jason Kay recommends you carefully research moving companies before planning a move. Find all of your moving needs including self storage, moving boxes, and rental trucks at EasyStorageSearch.com.</bio>

It's hard to imagine how we ever got along before they were invented but they have only been in common use for the last hundred years or so. The story of this simple but important invention follows.

Cardboard boxes are industrially prefabricated boxes, which are primarily used for packaging goods and materials or for moving. The first commercial cardboard box was produced in England in 1817 by Sir Malcolm Thornhil and the first cardboard box manufactured in the United States was made in 1895.

By 1900, wooden crates and boxes were being replaced by corrugated paper shipping cartons. The advent of flaked cereals increased the use of cardboard boxes. The first to use cardboard boxes as cereal cartons were the Kellogg brothers.

In France the cardboard box has an even longer history. The Musée du Cartonnage et de l'Imprimerie (Museum of the Cardboard Box) in Valréas, France traces the history of cardboard box making in the region and notes that cardboard boxes have been used there since 1840 for transporting the Bombyx mori moth and its eggs from Japan to Europe by silk manufacturers.
