With gas prices averaging over three dollars a gallon, everyone in America is looking for ways to get more gas mileage out of their car. People are making sure they have enough air in their tires, changing their fuel filter, and watching their speed to try to conserve gas. However, there are many gas friendly car models on the market today, which could really put some money in your pocket.

The days are gone where the only gas friendly car models look like toy cars, or have no horsepower. Now you can get a sleek, sophisticated car, with quite a bit of horsepower, and great gas mileage. Many cars are available now like the Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda Insight, Lexus GS450H, Toyota Camry, and the Toyota Prius. These cars get anywhere from 25 miles per gallon in the city (Lexus GS450H) on the low end to 61 miles per gallon in the city (Honda Insight). The Insight also gets 68 miles per gallon on the highway, while the GS450H, gets 28 miles per gallon on the highway. Some of these cars have a fully integrated hybrid (gas andamp; electric) engine, while others have a six cylinder engine that turns off three cylinders on the highway to conserve gas.

If you are looking for a sports utility vehicle, but you do not want to get a second mortgage on your house to pay for gas, then you are in luck, because many hybrids are hitting the market now. These include the Ford Escape, Lexus RX400H, Toyota Highlander, and Mercury Mariner. The gas mileage for these models ranges from 31 to 33 miles per gallon in the city, and 27 to 29 miles per gallon on the highway, with the Escape and Mariner getting higher gas mileages.

Not only will these gas friendly car models get more mileage for your gas dollars, the federal government is giving income tax breaks for buying gas friendly car models as well. Many different states are also giving sales tax breaks, parking fee exemptions, and state income tax breaks for purchasing gas friendly cars. Some major cities are also allowing hybrid cars the ability to drive in the high occupancy vehicle lane with only one passenger. The perks to owning a gas friendly car model are very lucrative, so what is stopping you from going out and buying one the next time you are looking for a new car? <bio>Get more information on discount cars and family cars: http://www.fleetcars.info </bio>

So, I had a brief mention of one of the largest extended warranty companies in Southern California in an article on one of my websites, and their attorney calls threatening to sue me because my article suggested that extended warranty companies don't always keep their promises.

"Extended warranty companies not keeping their promises? Hey, that's like...well, the sun rising in the East or some other highly unusual occurrence," I smartly replied.

Anyway, under threat of boring and expensive lawsuit, I agreed to remove the name of the specific warranty company from my website.

In the course of my discussion with this attorney, I was amazed at the level of disconnect from which this guy suffered. He positively insisted that his company was strictly above-board and went out of their way to honor warranty claims. The consumers I have interviewed have given me the exact opposite story: generally, for very inexpensive repairs the extended warranty company will deliver, but if it's a repair that's more than, say, about $250.00, suddenly the warranty company has its inspector look very carefully and determine that the problem was caused by "owner abuse or neglect." Result: claim denied.

We see this in my office on a frequent basis.

Since psychiatrists invent new (usually silly) diseases by the bushel load every time they republish their diagnostic manual, I figured I am entitled to invent my own disease as well. Here it is: "Disconnectitis": the pathological state wherein a representative of a car dealership, an insurance company, an extended warranty company, a finance company, a credit bureau, a debt collector or a major car manufacturer insists that his or her company is "above-board," "entirely honorable," "pro-consumer" or any of the other usual hogwash, when in fact they are not.

Now, in truth, there are honorable and pro-consumer, law abiding corporations out there, and this new disease is not their diagnosis. You can usually spot the truly pro-consumer companies by noticing that they don't have to beat their chests so loudly about how they're pro-consumer, and instead spend their time and energy trying to figure out creative ways to satisfy their customers. Lexus comes to mind. Lexus is not perfect and has made lemons and I have had to bring lawsuits against Lexus on behalf of my clients, but, at least for the past four or five years, I have heard many clients comment on the level and quality of professionalism they have experienced when dealing with Lexus. Does Lexus run expensive ad campaigns telling people that they're "pro-consumer" or "law-abiding"? Of course not. They let their customers do the talking.

Severe "disconnectitis" is the diagnosis one would give to, say, Enron, which was a complete fraud and which yet pounded its corporate chest in its inimitable Texas self-righteous manner about its morality and legality while it committed highway robbery on California during the energy crisis and defrauded its stockholders and investors.

That was a pretty severe example. However, I see smaller examples all around, and frequently represent consumers who were sucked in by these loud protestations of being "pro-consumer", etc.

Solution? Simple: talk to your friends and acquaintances. At the end, their own<bio>Robert F. Brennan, Esq. is a principal with Brennan, Wiener and Associates, an AV-rated law firm in La Crescenta, CA.
Car insurance: love it or loath it, if you own a car it's as sure as death and taxes. We all get that feeling that we're paying too much for our car insurance, but how much do some people really pay? We're going to cheer ourselves up by looking at the most expensive to insure cars in the world.

1.Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution There have been ten versions to date, all of them share a two litre, turbocharged engine and four-wheel drive system in common. Evolution models prior to version V were the officially-approved models for Mitsubishi's efforts in the World Rally Championship. Because of its racing roots this car is considered high risk and is very expensive to insure.

2.Mercedes CL-Class The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is a grand tourer produced by the German automaker Mercedes-Benz. The most powerful model of the CL is also the most expensive Mercedes-branded vehicle on the market, costing up to $197,775. The car's cost alone is reason enough for the high price of insurance, but because it's so expensive it's is also one of the world's cars most targeted by criminals.

3.Dodge SRT-4 The reason Dodge's car has made it into this list is hinted at in what SRT stands for, "Street and Racing Technology". This car is bought by people because it handles like a race car to be driven like a race car, but places where it shouldn't be, like on busy roads in towns and cities. Owning one is almost a declaration that your going to be driving quickly and recklessly, and as the car doesn't come cheap the insurance premiums have to be able to cover the risk.

4.Subaru Impreza WRX The Subaru Impreza WRX, is a turbocharged version of the Subaru Impreza. Compared to the base Impreza, the WRX has wider low-profile tires, larger brakes, and firmer, higher quality suspension components. Because of this, the car is popular among car enthusiasts for its handling capabilities.

5.Jaguar XK The Jaguar XK is another long distance purpose built car by legendary British manufacturer Jaguar. Like all Jaguar cars it's expensive and fast, two qualities in any car that'll guarantee to scare insurers.

6.Lexus IS 300 The Lexus IS 300 is considered and entry level luxury car. The interior features leather seats, lightsaber-like electroluminescent dash display lighting, and the choice of metallic or Bird's Eye Maple wood trim. Lexus SmartAccess keyless entry with push-button start is a standard feature. The Lexus car can be considered the ultimate in expensive boys toys.

7.Honda S2000 This is another expensive, rare and fast car. Launched in April 1999, the S2000 was created to celebrate the Honda's 50th anniversary. The new Honda S2000 CR became available in the fall of 2007. The S2000's price starts at $36,300.

8.Acura RSX The Acura RSX is sold by Honda in North America and Hong Kong. There are several models and make of the car which can confuse matters. The Acura RSX is meant as an entry-level luxury sports car and as such is an expensive car to insure.

9.Nissan 350Z The Nissan 350Z is another luxury sports car intended to be the less expensive, but still expensive, option for car enthusiasts. The 350Z is available as 2 door coup=E9 and roadster.

10.Jaguar XJ The Jaguar XJ is a luxury saloon and flagship model sold under the British Jaguar luxury marquee. The car is known as the choice of wealthy people around the world and, although the style is dated, it is still considered a top of the range car with a powerful engine. <bio>James Lee is a freelance finance writer, http://www.onlyfinance.com </bio>

Keywords are all the buzz these days, but the migration of keywords from what they were a year or two years ago to where they are now is a different thing altogether. Authors, entrepreneurs and business owners know they need keywords in their web site, in their press releases and in their articles but they don't often know how to find these keywords or what the best keywords are to use.

When your web designer says to you: "Pick your keywords for your web site" the first thing you think of are the root or "gut feel" keywords. These are almost always wrong. Why? Let's dig into this further and find out.

Let's say you're looking for a doctor. Are you going to go online and search for the keyword: "Doctor" Doubtful. You'll probably go online and search for doctor + internal medicine + San Diego, meaning that you want to find a doctor in your specific area and for your focused needs. If, as the doctor, you used the keyword "doctor" you'd end up with a mishmash of traffic to your site and, if you were using these keywords for articles or press releases, neither of those would bring up much in the search engines.

Why keywords?

The long tail has really forced us to dig further into our markets than ever before. In fact research has shown that regardless of the type of search someone is conducting, a consumer who uses focused, finite language is much more likely to buy than a search based on "gut feel" words. Let me give you an example.

Let's say you're looking for a red car, you want a new car and it has to be red. On a fluke you think: "Hey, Lexus makes a nice ride, let me see what comes up when I do a quick search." So you plug in the keywords: red + Lexus, what do you find? A hodgepodge of sites related to everything from the Lexus that someone is trying to sell on eBay to the guy so in love with his car he's created a MySpace page about it.

Chances are it doesn't really matter because you weren't that interested in the red car to begin with. But if you search on more finite terms, let's say red + Lexus + 4WD + sunroof, now we're talking a consumer who is 95% closer to a buy than the guy Googling "red + Lexus". In order for you to find your audience in the maze of traffic and the enormity of messages online, you'll need to get very, very focused.

Getting clear, getting focused

So how can you get focused? Well first, why not try surveying your customers or readers? Ask them to fill in a quick little survey and see what search terms come to mind when they think of your book, message, or product (to get more "buy in" to this survey, offer them a freebie if they do it).

Other ways to gain access to keywords are keyword search tools like Wordtracker and Overture. Both of these sites have a learning curve and Wordtracker does have a monthly fee (but if you have all your data together they offer a free one day trial that might get you started). But buyer beware! According to AME's keyword expert, Susan Gilbert: "If you go to http://inventory.overture.com and type in your keyword, you will get the results from search in Yahoo for that term only for the prior month.

"However, these numbers are not accurate.(Every time someone types a keyword into yahoo for SEO purposes, it counts as a search). Search numbers are only part of the equation, however. You have to evaluate the "results" aspect (how many pages of information are available in that search engine for that term). It's finding the perfect relationship between a keyword that has enough searches with low(er) competition that will tell you the best keyword terms for your purpose."

As you're navigating through a site like Overture, they key is to look for supply vs. demand. Ideally you want a keyword that's being searched on that doesn't have a ton of supply. Let's take the diet industry as an example, if you're trying to promote your message of diet and healthy living, using the word "diet" in your article, press release or web site keywords probably won't get you much ranking. Why? Well everyone in this market is using this same word, but if you dig even further into this market you'll find that the search term: "Lose weight fast" is getting a lot of searches but very few returns. When that's the case those are the keywords you want to zero in on.

So how do you know if your keywords are working? Test them. You'll see very quickly if they're working or if they're too general to matter. Sometimes the only way you can find out is if you test, test, test. Web 2.0 strategies are always growing, building and changing. And speaking of changing, you might wonder how long keywords will last. Well, that depends. According to Gilbert: "Keywords could work for months or years. There's no telling because the WWW is constantly filled with new sites and new information. Use the keywords immediately, and for as long as you are getting results."

Once you finalize your keywords you'll want to use them, but not overuse them. I'd recommend using your keywords in the article or press release title, then once in the first paragraph and once in the last paragraph. This will tie in your words nicely without overusing them.

The key with keywords is to understand that the more focused you can get, the better your results will be. Yes, it's a lot of work but the benefits can be enormous and like anything on the `Net, it's growing and changing and if you can adapt and learn, you can grow your campaigns and your success! <bio>Penny C.
Do you remember that Monty Python sketch, Waking The Neighbours? Cast members stood outside in the street, slamming car doors in a bid to wake up their neighbours and win points.

It was a good thing they didn't use the latest Lexus LS460, otherwise no-one would have laughed.

Because the Lexus actually does the job for you. You just push the door to, without actually slamming it, and the wizard of electronics takes over, gently and soundlessly closing it.

It was my favourite party trick when showing folks around the test car. My other one was the auto-opening and closing boot. Release it and the boot lid rises majestically on gas rams; press a button on the lid and it eerily lowers itself and closes with a barely-audible click.

Inside, it was also fun to play with Lexus's amazing lift-and-tilt box between the two front seats, which sees the elegant lid automatically glide backwards and then after a light human touch, silently roll forward and shut itself.

Lexus also gives you some teasing options from which to choose =96 comfort or performance settings on the auto gearbox and whether to use the automatic parking brake manually (a light touch release setting on the dash) or just let the car decide for itself and take over the duty.

And you don't even need to turn your head to reverse the car if you don't want all that neck craning. Just observe the info panel in front of you which morphs into a TV screen when you're in reverse gear and gives you a perfect picture of what's behind.

I haven't even mentioned the drop-down DVD screen to entertain rear passengers; emergency steering assist; adaptive cruise control; and systems for advanced obstacle detection, driver monitoring, lane-keep assist and pre-crash =96 many of the features world firsts.

But then would you expect anything less from the car considered by many to be the finest luxury saloon in the world?

Now, having conquered America and much of the globe, the latest incarnation of the formidable Lexus LS460 has arrived to raise the bar just that much higher beyond their rivals' reach.

What sells the Lexus to me is that the LS460 looks a much more contemporary car. Early models were a bit clumsy and clunky looking (even though they ran trouble-free for ever) but this model is elegant, long, sleek and beautifully proportioned form all angles.

It also isn't a car that technophobes need to fear. If I can work it all, anyone can and Lexus has set everything up so that the Lexus's onboard computers constantly monitor everything and work behind the scenes while the owner just gets on with the job of driving.

And what a pleasure that is. The hugely long classic saloon, which boasts acres of rear legroom, starts up so quietly that the all-new 4.6-litre V8 engine can scarcely be heard.

And it's deceptively quick =96 sleek and fast-running with urgent response but never ruffled or coarse, however hard it's pushed. Zero to 62mph in a red-hot 5.7 seconds and 50mph-75mph in 4.7 seconds tell their own story.

The world's first eight-speed auto transmission is incredibly slick, with seamless gearchanges that slide in unobtrusively and there's also the option of more hands-on input if you choose the sequential option that's included.

With fingertip steering control that's light but highly accurate, subtle brakes which can be judged to the last millimetre when stopping and a magic carpet ride that makes the car feel like it's riding on a cushion of air, this is motoring at its absolute pinnacle.

It may cost from =A357,090 but your neighbours will love you to bits.

http://www.motorstoday.co.uk/viewarticle2.aspx?sectionid=549andarticleid== 3471371

Factfile:

* All-new fourth generation of Lexus's flagship model.

* Eight world firsts in safety, driver assistance and powertrain technology.

* All-new 4.6-litre V8 engine with Dual VVT-i and VVT-iE.

* Maximum power 375bhp at 6,400rpm.

* Excellent balance of performance, fuel economy and emissions.

* World's first eight-speed transmission.

* Available in three grades =96 LS460, 460 SE and 460 SE-L.

* DVD sat nav with dynamic route guidance, Bluetooth connectivity, parking assist monitor, leather upholstery, heated and air conditioned front seats and 10-speaker sound system standard on all models.

* New 19-speaker Mark Levinson premium hi-fi with six-disc DVD autochanger standard on LS 460 SE and SE-L models. <bio>Visit http://www.motorstoday.co.uk/financecentre.aspx to get a car loan </bio>

Buying a hybrid car gives the phrase "go green" a whole new meaning. Not only is it good for the environment, it's also good for your pocket book. Check out the tax benefits of hybrid vehicles for yourself.

The government has decided that encouraging drivers to do their part to protect the environment could be better enhanced by offering tax incentives. So 2006 sees a variety of incentives from tax credits to tax deductions.

But before you get too excited, be sure you understand all the regulations. It is a bit complex and not all vehicles that call themselves hybrids actually qualify for the hybrid tax relief programs.

The full on hybrid vehicle uses both a gas engine and an electric engine. The Toyota Prius is an example of a full on hybrid. However some of the other models that call themselves hybrids aren't classified as such by the government. That's because some vehicles that do no more than shut the engine off at idle wear the hybrid designation.

The full tax credit is applicable to only the first 60,000 cars sold by the car maker. After that, the amount of the credit goes down. So if you want to be able to take the full tax credit you need to be buy early. Be aware that leasing doesn't qualify for a tax credit.

The new tax incentive programs are much more valuable than the old programs that were in place. For the exact amount and rules you need to contact the IRC, but ACEEE has provided the following estimates to give you an idea of the tax benefits you might reap.

The Toyota Prius should qualify for the full $3400 tax credit, and it's the only hybrid to earn this honor. A $2600 credit goes to the Ford Escape 2WD, Honda Insight, and Toyota Highlander 2WD. A $2200 credit is available for the Lexus RX400H, Honda Civic Auto Transmission, and Toyota Highlander 4WD. A $1950 credit goes to the Ford Escape 4WD and Honda Civic Manual Transmission. The Lexus GS450H, Nissan Altima, and Toyota Camry all have a $1300 tax credit. The Honda Accord, GMC Sierra, and Chevy Silverado all get under $1000.

Remember, these are estimates. The actual numbers will have to be obtained from the IRS or you'll need to wait until they release them.

The basics for being able to take the credit are as follows: you must purchase the vehicle new on or after Jan 1, 2006, and it cannot be for re-sale. That's pretty simple but there are some other areas that aren't so clear so be sure you get the details on "all" the rules.

The tax benefits of hybrid vehicles are definitely improving. Have your accountant or bookkeeper find out what your personal options are and take advantage of any tax breaks you can! <bio>Gray Rollins is a featured writer for NewHybridAutos.
Infiniti is a brand of luxury car produced by the Japanese automobile maker, Nissan Motor Company Ltd. It is a Japanese brand name sold in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Middle East and Taiwan. Its logo, the upward pointed triangle symbolizes Mt. Fuji, a mountain volcano highly revered in Japan. Infiniti is designed to compete with fellow Japanese automakers Toyota's Lexus and Honda's Acura, leading German competitors Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz, as well as the American Lincoln and Cadillac.

In the SUV category, it races with the specialists - Jeep and Land Rover. Nissan's famous Pathfinder was taken over by a modified and more luxurious Infinity QX4. It stays very close with competitors Lexus RX 300, Acura MDX and Mercedes-Benz ML320 in the luxury SUV market. The 2008 Infinity QX56 is full-sized luxury SUVs which has a 2WD and 4WD variants. It is powered by 5.6-liter V8 engine with 320 horsepower and 393 lb-ft torque.

Introduced in the United States in 1989, Infiniti aimed to produce and sell premium cars, a stride away from Nissan's mainstream reputation. It is by coincidence that Toyota and Honda also begun their bid during this time to establish their bid in the U.S. luxury car market with the introduction of Lexus and Acura, respectively.

Infiniti's introduction of a 278-horsepower V8 engined Q45, an all-wheel drive sedan that is equipped with an active suspension system - a breakthrough in automotive technology that controls vertical movement of the wheels with an onboard system. With this technology, movement is not solely determined by the surface or base wherein the wheel is running, and thus, eliminating body roll and pitch during corner turning, accelerating and braking. Active suspension achieves higher ride quality and handling, allowing the wheels to fit in the road for better grip and control. The Q45 earned the moniker "The Japanese Lincoln".

The M30 coupe, the so-called Americanized version of the Nissan Leopard, was Infiniti's bet to compete with the Acura Legend coupe. The G20 was produced with an eye to compete with the BMW 3-series. It was later replaced with the G35, which instantly became a hit as the Motor Trend Car of the Year for 2003. Infiniti G35 was nicknamed the "Japanese BMW." The 2008 model of the Infiniti G-series has a coupe (powered by 330 horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine) and a sedan variant (with 206 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine). Another V8-powered sedan entered as the Infinity M-series (the smaller M35 and the more powerful M45). A sporty 2008 Infiniti FX has three models available.

Infiniti is threading the path to the future of automobiles with a passion for a new breed of cars called Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUV). This new design marries the performance of a sedan and the flexibility of an SUV. Infiniti has placed the all-new Infiniti EX to pioneer in this category.

Company executives envisioned the weaning away Infiniti from Nissan's image. To stay in the race, their philosophy is to rely on the best design and the infinite opportunities available to compete. In their own words, "We will have our eyes fixed on BMW (the industry leader in luxury cars) this time."

Help Infiniti live its own name by dressing your keys with Infiniti Keychains, available in elegant metal designs engraved with the "Mt Fuji" logo and the name of your preferred automobile brand "INFINITY". <bio>Kathy Austin is an internet marketing consultant for http://www.wholesalekeychain.com.
Let your 1998 Lexus GS sport be a superstar and dazzle. A pair of 9006 HID headlamps will do the trick. Go get your conversion kit and coast around town, but be sure to care for your HID bulbs.

It's your car's turn for a makeover

When your car's headlights are eclipsed by brighter lights, it's time for a change. Your nine-year-old car can once again regain its former glory. Just opt for a purplish or greenish glow and you're all set. A 9006 HID kit will make your car's makeover easy. In the muscle department, your 9006 HID bulb was designed to cope with wear and tear, water, and earthquake. In the looks section, the light has been tested for true color. On the speed ticker, the bulbs can respond immediately to rapid on and off switching.

Your kit will contain two 9006 HID Xenon bulbs, two 9006 HID 35W <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ballasts" rel="tag">Ballasts, 2 steel HID ballast harnesses, and four steel screws. The ballast is a showcase of German and Japanese hardware =96 Siemens and Panasonic. There is no cut and splice here. Once installed, plug it in and you're good to go.

But nothing lasts forever, even your car

When you have installed your 9006 HID follow these simple reminders if you want your HID lamps to last longer:

=95 Use only approved ballasts or your HID bulb will peter out soon.

=95 Cool down before you turn the bulb on and off.

=95 Correct your burn position or plane. Have the headlamps checked if they are direct on the pinch. It is recommended that you have horizontal burn positioning to avoid overheating.

=95 In handling the systems, be sure your hands are free from grease or dirt as these will affect the UV shield and the burner.

=95 Be sure that your 9006 bulb fits into your headlight housing. If the housing is too small, it may cause the bulb to overheat. If it is too loose, vibrations may damage the bulbs.

As a precaution, get an experienced mechanic to install the system. He has the right tools and the experience. Unless you have the skill and the know-how, you shouldn't try installing your 9006 HID kit by yourself.

Glimmer while the going is hot

When you've got it, flaunt it. Your 9006 HID bulbs will show off its beam. You can offset the glare too by correcting your beam pattern. Drive around town or to the next state. No cop will be after you because you 9006 HID headlamps are street legal.

You can also have the interiors of your car lighted up with precision-engineered HID bulbs. The same HID technology will work well to provide you better illumination, so inside and out, you can see your way very well.

Your 1998 Lexus GS will be at par with other newer cars on the night road. Have your car tuned-up and oiled regularly for better performance. Have the brakes checked too. Enjoy your car's total performance for all time driving.
Luxury SUV hybrids are becoming the popular pick among car consumers nowadays. Look at the number of people opting for these cars in contrast to those who are still buying the conventional ones. The growth is staggering.

The Favorite Pick

However, just like conventional cars, there are also different variants of hybrids. Hence, among these different models there would also be the crowd favorite and as statistics reflect, that would be luxury SUV hybrids. So, as a guide, here are the best hybrid SUVs that consumers of all levels love and adore.

Pick Number One: 2008 Lexus RX 400h

According to various polls, sales records and statistics conducted by authorities, the top SUV to hit the chart would be the Lexus RX 400h. This car actually gives its owners a rare mix of sport efficacy performance along with Lexus luxury with an environmental twist. It actually ranks extremely highly among SUVs in the hybrid category and luxury midsize SUVs.

Without considering its sticker price, reviewers actually praise this luxury SUV hybrid model for its driving performance that is notable comparable to the RX 350, which is its sibling. Additionally, this is a lone pick for the fuel-efficient types, especially within the luxury SUV category.

Experts believe that this model is actually the first to offer its users an ecology-minded no-compromise alternative for users that do not want to sacrifice comfort and for the planet's sake. However, if you would consider the price, you would be better off thinking that you'll be saving the environment and not necessarily money.

This car's performance is considered to be very good along with its sleek and stylish exterior. As for interiors, you'll surely find it comfortable and pretty well equipped.

SUV Hybrid Pick Number Two: Toyota Highlander Hybrid 2008

This car is the second most favorite and best SUV in the hybrid category. This car ranks close to the top of its class since it offers a smooth ride, roomy interior and most of all a refined hybrid powertrain. Nevertheless, some experts feel that its price is too high in contrast to its non-hybrid counterpart. Additionally, it can't match the offered cargo space and sportier handling of other competitors.

Compared to its predecessor, this model is quite larger. It also sports an innovative electric-only mode so that you can improve fuel economy even more. A lot of reviewers are actually pleased with its changes. However, this luxury SUV hybrid has a price that might make you pause.

If you'll consider performance alone, this model also ranks best among the rest. This is because it offers you a very smooth ride that has a lot of power; this is considered to be a pretty rare combination considering that it's a hybrid vehicle.

However, one set-back of this luxury SUV hybrid is that its exteriors are somewhat mediocre. It lacks a bit of uniqueness and seems to simply blend in and not stand out when compared to other SUVs. Nevertheless, its interiors are much pleasing as it offers a spacious cabin compared to what others have.

Pick Number Three: Ford Escape Hybrid 2008

This SUV is very environmentally conscious yet still sports comfortable interiors and a tough exterior. Sadly it still doesn't match the overall quality or level of driving dynamics that other top-class SUVs could offer.

As for power, even though hybrids are known to have lower power, most reviewers are actually pleased with this SUV's capabilities. In fact, this vehicle's performance even ranks over the upper half of its class.

Nevertheless, handling is still not quite balanced. This drawback is said to be due to its powertrain's added weight, which is more over 250 pounds. This significantly affects the car's handling, which is also worsened by its electric power steering, which is a must for any hybrids.

As for the exterior characteristics, most people have mixed emotions on how they perceive this car. Some describe it as muscular, while other people don't really think so. On the other hand, its interiors have has significant improvements. First off, would be the car's cabin comfort along with quality. As soon as you get in, you'll observe the clean, quiet and modern cabin, which has a lot of interior room to offer. Due to these, this car became really worth it to be one of the best hybrid SUVs in the market.<bio>John S. Rhodes talks more about luxury SUV hybrids at Hybrid Cars, Hybrid Trucks and Hybrid Vans found at http://HybridCarsTrucksVans.com He also discusses hybrid motorcycles and hybrid minivans at that site, offering videos and advice on hybrid batteries and hybrid rental vehicles.</bio>

This is a hot topic right now with many of the persons that are adding HHO or Brown's Gas producing systems to their automobiles. In the discussion group at the water4gas.com member's forum area, an overwhelming number of answers have come from the many experimenters.

Basically they are saying that the water vapor that emanates from the electrolyzer seems to clean the engine including the valves, pistons and other passages. I confirm that this seems to be the case with my vehicles as well.

I tried this technology on many cars myself. Like on my 18-year old Lexus LS 400, my 10-year old mini van, my friends 25-year old GMC Van, and others. I have never seen a problem. The cars run smoother and quieter when you install the system.

And of coarse the engine runs more roughly shortly after you remove it. (but not as bad because it will take years to accumulate the same amount of junk that it has cleaned).

The amount of water in the HHO mixture is a minuscule.

There is however a lot of water to be found in the fuel on a regular basis. This is true especially when driving in the rain or any humid area. You never here of cars having internal engine corrosion problems in the Pacific Northwest, only body rust problems. Also, many times the gas itself will come with a little water mixed in. The bottom line is less damage and less maintenance in the long run. The savings just from resolving the engine's pinging or knocking makes for less wear and tear on everything even on the transmission.

But won't the water vapor make the exhaust system rust?

No. The water vapor is very hot inside the engine, and cleans but does not cause rust to form due to the temperature being very high. Another very important point is that there is enough lubrication in the gasoline itself to prevent any corrosion of this nature. The water vapor and hydrogen clean the carbon deposits off the pistons, valves, rings, etc. This is why the engine starts to run smoother.

It is cooler in the converter and back in the tail pipe, but it's not much different than driving in the rain or any humid area/weather.

Of note is that during WW II Air Force pilots noticed that when they flew close to the water their engine started to run better. So guess what, that's right they experimented with injecting a fine mist into the engine. And wala their engines ran smoother. And there were no reports of corrosion problems that I know of.

The bottom line is that this technology has an overall good effect on the longevity of the engine. There will be less maintenance, fewer breakdowns, and of coarse improved gas mileage. And most people are especially interested in saving money and saving gas right now at the gas pump, and that's what we all are looking for.

The benefit of less pollution is a great plus as well. I personally noticed a radical difference with my Lexus, just think if all cars did that. I think that my emissions have been halved. I will run a test to confirm this at the smog station, in fact I have already talked to them about that and they are cool with it.<bio>The author has created a review site that provides you with the most in-depth analysis of Water Conversion Guides on the Internet.

go to:www. water-for-gas-reviews.com orwww.squidoo.com/water-for-gas-reviews </bio>

Over the last decade cars have become increasingly reliable. However, large variations in reliability performance do still exist, and reliability is certainly something that should be considered when purchasing a car and deciding whether a warranty is required. A warranty is a type of insurance policy, meaning that if a covered part suffers a mechanical or electrical failure resulting in a breakdown, the warranty will cover the cost of replacement parts and labour. Therefore there is full peace of mind as you know that you will never be left with a huge repair bill to pay.

Warranty Direct and Motoreasy are the two main providers of warranties in the UK. As a price guideline, a 4 year old Peugeot that has traveled 40,000 miles will cost £230 to cover for one year. However, most cars come with a 3 year warranty and if it doesn't come as standard then many retailers offer a warranty separately. When deciding whether to purchase a warranty separately you need to consider the reliability of your car.

Warranty Direct have gathered data from millions of pounds worth of claims every year to compile the 'Reliability Index', a complete guide to the reliability of cars on the road today. One interesting finding is that 25% of cars suffer mechanical failure at some point between its 4th and 5th year on the road, just as the manufacturer's standard warranty expires. However, huge variations in reliability do exist, as illustrated by our five best and worst performers below.

Ford come in at number 5, with Suzuki and Honda at positions 4 and 3 respectively. Honda with its 'The Power of Dreams' slogan appears to live up to its word with a highly reliable range of cars. Mazda comes in second place, with Skoda, perhaps surprisingly, the most reliable car make on the road today. It wasn't long ago that Skoda was ridiculed for being extremely unreliable and hard on the eye, but they've worked intensively on the reliability of their cars. If you're concerned about being able to drive from one place to another at any time then consider purchasing a Skoda. 'Practical and exciting. Don't see that very often' -- it's certainly practical and is unlikely to let you down.

Moving on to the top 5 list car manufacturers don't want to be in, Jaguar comes in at number 5. Known more for its looks and performance rather than reliability, many people would see this as a fair trade-off. Land Rover comes in as the 4th most unreliable car. Derided as a car that is unpractical and unnecessary for city roads it also appears that it is unreliable. With the huge increase in taxes in the UK planned for high polluting vehicles a hard time could be in store for the Land Rover. Next up is Subaru, followed by the Jeep in second position. The jeep was really designed for off-road pursuits so perhaps it isn't surprising to see it struggling in the reliability stakes as they weren't originally designed for the roads. Finally, the most unreliable car on the road today is Porsche. If a Porsche is your only mode of transport you may want to consider purchasing another more reliable car or certainly a warranty. Whilst it is a high-performance car Lexus have shown that you can be fast and reliable, as they came in as the 6th most reliable car make on the road.

Therefore if you're looking for a car purely to get you from one place to another consider purchasing a Skoda. If you're concerned about performance, speed, and looks then Lexus are certainly worth considering. <bio>Charles Cridland founded http://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/, a site where you can offer your driveway or garages for rent, or find long-term parking spaces for rent. </bio>

Prohibitive aspects of the commercial GPS systems on car include their high cost and significant loss of reliability and signal availability in the urban road settings.

The modern automobiles are prepared with various control systems, which improve passenger safety and comfort. These systems take in anti-lock brakes, disparity steering and cruise control. Recently, the automotive GPS systems also got added to lots of cars for exercise in positioning purposes, permitting driver to view their position on map, and get directions in the real time. Advent of the GPS receivers in the cars has efforts to improve existing systems, and to make new ones like car following and lane keeping control. Some of these systems need measurements of vehicle's attitude.

Few other type of interesting integrations and functions of the automotive GPS control system are that color LCD monitors on a few automotive navigation systems that can as well be used to show television broadcasts and DVD movies. Some systems integrate with phones for the hands-free talking and SMS messaging. Automotive navigation control systems will include personal info management for meetings that is combined with traffic and public transport system.

Safety Features

Vehicles made by Subaru * Lexus, and Lexus' company, Toyota, exclude many of features when vehicle is in the motion. Lots of users have also complained that the passengers are not capable to enter location while in the motion, even if it is very safe to do. Additionally, the drivers have also complained that it is unsafe to pull off highway and stop than it is to enter destination in a system.

The automotive system is satellite navigation system that is designed for the exercise in automobiles. It normally makes use of GPS navigation system to obtain position data to place the user on road in unit's map database. By using road database, unit will give directions to the other locations all along roads in its database. The dead reckoning utilizing distance data from the sensors attached to drive train, gyroscope and accelerometer is used for the greater dependability, since GPS signal loss and multipath will occur because of urban canyons and tunnels.

Advantages of this kind of GPS unit take in low cost and capability to move them simply to other automobiles. Their portability states they are simply stolen if left in the vehicle however can't be stolen if driver carries it with him while he gets out. In addition not having compass, accelerometer and inputs from vehicle's speed sensors, states that they can't navigate as precisely by dead weighing up as a few built- in the devices when there is not any GPS signal.
Don't you just love it? General Motors can't make a quality car to save its life, which is what it's trying to do, and it wants Nissan to give it billions of dollars to show respect for a failed company. Over the last couple of years, you have heard of failed nation states, many of them in Africa. Countries that can't feed themselves, and have just about as much wealth as is necessary to put an embassy in NY, so their diplomats can dine at the United Nations, and park overnight with diplomatic plates.

Now we have failed corporate states like General Motors who can't get out of their own way, and probably have no justification for remaining in business other than the fact that they've been around for something approaching a century. If you really think about it, other than the employees who would anyone miss General Motors if they went out of business tomorrow, maybe even today. The remaining players would immediately pick up their market share, and we wouldn't have to watch the slow market attrition that is taking that share down anyway.

There will come a time if they remain in business, that only aliens coming to visit our planet will buy General Motors vehicles. The news recently is ludicrous. Carlos Ghosn runs Nissan-Renault. This man has done a world-class turnaround over the last several years, making billions of dollars for a company that very few thought could be turned around.

Rick Wagoner is the typical corporate bureaucrat that spent decades at GM while its market share slid down the tubes. The two of them have been talking about some sort of consortium at the behest of GM's major shareholder Kirk Kerkorian, who wants GM turned around tonight, today, yesterday. Wagoner has now decided that Nissan should pay GM billions of dollars for GM's perceived greater value.

What value? Hey dude, you just lost $10 billion last year. You've bought out thirty five thousand employees that you can't find work for. You're a textbook case study in how to lose money by selling inferior products, and you believe you bring greater value to a partnership with Nissan, than Nissan brings to you. HELLO, ANYBODY HOME?

One of the first lessons anybody learns if they are active in the stock market is, you have to deal with reality, not your perceived reality, but what's really taking place. GM has yet to do a full, truthful self-assessment and figure out where they are. What are you doing wrong? You can't be doing things right, and lose $10 billion in a year. You've got sales all right, but your customers are so disenchanted with your product that they are not allowing you to price your product at a number that allows you to take a profit out of the sale. That's how you lose money, and you can't make it up on volume.

You also have the issue of your competition's pricing. The other guys are giving their customers perceived value and real value. The value is so great, that it is disallowing you a profit in the vehicles that you are putting on the market. It's that simple.

But wait, there's more!!

Toyota, your main rival for world supremacy just came out with a new Lexus LS 460 with built in features that GM isn't even thinking about. It's not even on the drawing boards at GM. THE LEXUS CAR PARKS ITSELF. It's got sonar distance finding devices that link up to its navigation system. This thing can pull into a parallel parking position with the driver basically watching the car park itself.

Mercedes will envy the paint job at twice the price, and a first ever 8-speed transmission. How does a car with 380 horsepower get 19 miles to the gallon anyway? With a crash sensing system that prepares the brakes and airbags for the coming impact, this Lexus may give new meaning to the word safety. What's going on here? For $70,000, Lexus will give you a car that BMW, and Mercedes can't even dream about making for the price.

I have talked with representatives of the Japanese automobile companies. They think GM is on the ropes, and who can argue. The old giant is pumping out iron that just doesn't do it anymore. The only employees happy at the company are hebephrenics on the assembly line who are taking too many pain killers. There's also Chairman Rick Wagoner who appears to be constipated in every interview he gives, and wants a financial tribute from Nissan to boot.

The Future of GM

General Motors will continue to exist. If the consumer bought only on the basis of quality, and bang for the buck, GM would have filed for bankruptcy years ago. The consumer buys for other reasons though, aside from quality. Some have never driven a Japanese car, and wouldn't consider it. Once you drive Japanese, buying American cars becomes unthinkable. Some buyers live in sections of the country where there is peer group pressure to buy American, such as the Midwest.

People on the East coast, and West coast however have basically shunned GM's vehicles. The Big 3 automaker will never recapture anything in those two markets again. I can't imagine how they turn around corporate morale. With seventeen layers of management compared to Toyota's five, I don't know how anyone is proud to say, "I work for GM".

Would I love to see GM come back? You bet I would, how does it happen with an arrogant management team, trained by the guys that lost the ship to begin with. Wagoner's team are the type of guys that would have screwed up the Iraq war worse than what it is, and I can't imagine how it could be much worse. You need an outsider, with no loyalties to insiders, who can come in and SHAKE THINGS UP. Is it going to happen? Probably not, but that's still what it takes. GM may have already gone through critical thresholds, and will just continue to peter out. Toyota on the other hand has just announced they are hiring 8,000 new engineers. Any takers? <bio>Richard Stoyeck's background includes being a limited partner at Bear Stearns, Senior VP at Lehman Brothers, Kuhn Loeb, Arthur Andersen, and KPMG.
Why you should consider a hybrid Vehicle...

Hybrid vehicles work by combining a gas powered engine with an electric motor generator that gets power from a battery pack. You do not need to plug in or charge your hybrid, as most vehicles have the ability to charge themselves while you are driving. This onboard system is called RESS (rechargeable energy storage system).

You may already know that hybrid vehicles are a good way to reduce pollution and harmful emissions and are therefore more environmentally friendly. But did you know that a hybrid vehicle can save you up to 250 gallons of gas each year?

There is also a special program implemented by the IRS that allows new owners of hybrid vehicles to apply for a tax break. Your local tax preparation office or any dealership that sells hybrid vehicles can tell you more about this special financial benefit.

You can expect to pay a few thousand more for a hybrid vehicle than you would a non-hybrid of the same type. How much the vehicle costs will depend on the year, make and model. For example, the affordable Honda Accord hybrid runs around $30,000. On the other end of the spectrum, the luxury RX400h SUV hybrid offered by Lexus will cost at least $10,000 to $15,000 more.

With rising gas prices and increasing alarm about the condition of our environment, hybrid vehicles are becoming more and more mainstream with each passing day. If you're considering purchasing a hybrid vehicle, research is the first order of business. It's always a good idea to do a little preliminary searching online before ever entering a dealership so you will know more about the vehicles you are interested in as well as how much you can expect to pay for them. You may initially be paying more for a hybrid car, but when you consider the overall benefits, purchasing a hybrid vehicle may prove to be a wise investment. <bio>Lyn Davis is a freelance writer who specializes in consumer information. visit http://www.hybridmod.com for more information on hybrid cars </bio>

Knowing your target market can be a company's key to success in modern business. Niche marketing, particularly with the availability of much more targeted advertisement using television commercials and online ads, is growing in popularity because of its high-yielding results.

With car companies putting out commercials and ads specifically targeting groups of consumers, like women, young people, parents with small children, and even successful CEOs, does anyone wonder where they're getting their information? The answer: market research firms. The business of capturing information about segments of the consumer population has become a business in and of itself =96 and a big one at that.

For example, let's start looking back at 2005 when Harris Interactive =96 the 15th largest marked research firm in the world =96 conducted a study to find out what automotive brands people felt were not only the most technologically savvy, but also which brands were perceived to be driven by socialites. Six brands made both lists: Volvo, Jaguar, BMW, Lexus, Mitsubishi, and Isuzu.

While the results are no surprise to the first four on the list, Mitsubishi and Isuzu have never actively tried to position themselves in either market. Currently, Isuzu offers four models to U.S.

consumers =96 its high-performance SUV "Ascender" =96 and three pickup trucks: the i-290 Extended Cab, the i-370 Crew Cab, and the i-370 Extended Cab. One wouldn't necessarily assume that when the majority of your line are pickups =96 traditionally marketed to Middle America for their rugged hauling and towing capacities =96 that you'd be perceived as a company known for progressive technology and appealing to socialites. But, in all honesty, that should be no surprise either.

Isuzu's recent upgrades, like the i-370's Crew Cab Comfort Package proves that Isuzu drivers appreciate luxury as much as anyone else.

It includes high-back 8-way power driver seats (and 6-way power seats for the front passenger) with lumbar support and integrated adjustable head restraints. The driver window controls are one-touch automatic and the steering wheel is leather-wrapped. In addition to the CFC-free refrigerant air conditioning and an AM/FM stereo with 6-disc in-dash CD changer, it offers a state-of-the-art 6-speaker audio system.

The i-370 also excels when it comes to desired safety features. The pickup boasts an automatic front-passenger airbag suppression system, power locks, remote keyless entry, and a content theft-deterrent alarm system. The interior is available in cloth or leather.

With ten exterior paint options to choose from like Deep Crimson Metallic and Pacific Blue, the pickup looks like it should sport a much higher price tag. It's truly and impressive looking vehicle.

Driving the i-370 is bound to prove that this ain't your grandfather's pickup. All that power handles as beautifully as many luxury cars handle thanks to a hydraulically assisted rack-and-pinion power steering system , triple door seals to block road noise, and Isuzu's own Electronic Traction Control.

So with all this, it's no real surprise that Isuzu ranked right up there with legacies of luxury like BMW and Lexus. In an effort to design the best possible product for their buyers, they ultimately opened the door to markets they weren't specifically aiming for. But that just goes to show you that comfort, performance, and style appeal to everyone. <bio>The crew cab http://www.isuzu.com/i370.jsp interior was VERY roomy. People thought I was crazy to get an Isuzu... But boy were they wrong! The extended cab http://www.isuzu.com/i290.jsp also had tons of room. I suggest getting to a local Isuzu dealer before they are all.. </bio>

Almost everyone wants to own a car, and yet only a few will be able to afford it. This is because they're very expensive. However, if you aren't really looking for something new, or if you like to settle for something that's really cheap, you can always go to auctions.

Government, for one, usually holds auctions for cars. These automobiles are either seized by police during special operations or previously owned by government agencies. They are also the ones that were obtained because of seizure laws. What makes these automobiles more interesting is the fact that besides being of great brands - such as BMW, Honda, Chrysler, and Lexus, to name a few - they're highly affordable. You can even start your price at a mere $200.

Unless the government will be able to find good use of these cars, they are often sold to the public. Otherwise, they're not only going to keep inventory but they have to spend for their maintenance. Though government car auctions may spell boon for people who have been dying to possess their very own luxury car, there are also disadvantages that you need to consider:

1. You're not used to the process. It may sound like an ordinary auction, but it's not. There are rules that need to be followed, plus the fact that you're practically dealing with the government. Your fear and awkwardness can definitely affect your bidding decision. To ensure that you will be able to bid properly, get yourself comfortable not only with the auction procedures but also with the people around you. They normally have practice auctions. It's ideal if you can attend at least one of them. You may also try to observe real government auctions and take note of how veterans bid for these cars.

2. There's no exchange or refund policy. In every good thing, there's always a catch. When it comes to used cars, you will be a little bit disappointed with its quality. To make things worse, you cannot actually return it right after you have purchased it. If you want to ensure that you will be able to truly maximize your money, double-check your desired car first. Have a mechanic or a car professional with you during inspection. His pieces of advice and comments will become invaluable.

3. There's intense pressure in government auctions. If you happen to see an auction either in television or in reality, you know that it's going to be truly fast pace. You have to think quick and efficiently. If you aren't ready with this type of environment, have someone who can do the bidding for you. Otherwise, you have to start looking for a used car dealer.

4. You can't own the car immediately. Unlike when you're shopping for cars from private dealers, with government auction, you still have to wait for at least two weeks before you can possess what you've bought. It may even take longer if there are some problems with your requirements. Hence, it's best if you can have a car professional with you, someone who can offer you advice on the probable requirements that you may have to present. <bio>Mark Robinson writes for http://auto-loans.guidefin.com </bio>

If you have been in the market for a new car recently, you may have seen advertisements and articles about the new hybrid cars. These automobiles sound quite attractive on the surface, since they can get up to 20-30 more miles to the gallon than their traditional counterparts. Many of the big auto manufacturers have jumped on the new hybrid car bandwagon, including Toyota, Honda, Lexus and Saturn. But what are these new hybrid cars and what can one of them do for you?

A new hybrid car combines two different power sources that work together to create an engine that is incredibly fuel efficient and much less polluting than the typical gasoline engines of today. A small gasoline engine is found in the new hybrid car that is designed for maximum fuel efficiency. In addition to the gasoline engine, there is an electric motor that is powered by batteries located inside of the car. These batteries are recharged through the running of the car, alleviating the need for an elaborate charging system at home and limited use of the car. The new hybrid cars combine the best of both worlds. You get the long-running, easy maintenance of a traditional gasoline engine. You also get the environmentally friendly, low fuel requirement of an electric motor. The result is a new hybrid car that will run efficiently and cleanly on gas and electricity. This concept has made these new hybrid cars a popular choice for many who are in the market for a new vehicle. However, the technology is still new, and the supply is still greatly limited.

Today, there are only a handful of the new hybrid cars on the market. They come in a variety of manufacturer names, and in a choice of styles, including SUV's and compact sedans. However, it is not easy to find these types of cars at many locations, since the supply was bought up rather quickly after they made their appearance on new car lots. The good news is that plans are in the works for even more car manufacturers to make even more models of these new hybrid cars in the months and years to come.It is possible that the new hybrid cars will gradually take their place as the most popular vehicles on the road. Keep your eyes open for the hybrid cars at the auto dealers in your town or city.

For information on buying and selling new and second hand cars and bikes visit http://www.bharathautomobiles.com/index.php <bio>James Gunaseelan writes for India's leading automobile portal http://www.bharathautomobiles.com/index.php </bio>

Well-off people normally have more than one car. They have cars for work and they have cars for special occasions. The special occasion cars are usually luxury cars that cost several times as much as a regular sedan. The question is should you be buying luxury cars at all?

Some people prefer luxury cars over a sedan. And there are simply too many cars in the market claiming to be one even if they are short on certain features. So before you fall for these claims hook, line, and sinker, it is best that you know what a luxury vehicle really is and what is not.

Leather seats and an exceptional stereo system don't make a car a luxury vehicle. Keep in mind that luxury cars are not built overnight. More than the make and model of the car, these vehicles require years of planning and design. And so the companies that are worthy to release luxury cars are only those who have been in the automotive industry for a long time. It would be an added plus it they have already proven their worth in that particular line.

Lexus cars and Rolls and Royce are good examples of luxury cars. But before you go ahead and purchase these vehicles, you've got to ask yourself if you can afford it. If you can't, would you settle for a second-hand? Luxury car manufacturers imply that if you're asking for the price of a luxury vehicle prior to buying it, chances are, you can't afford it. So unless you can go up to a million on one luxury car, it is not worth asking whether or not you should buy one or not.

Why do you have to buy a luxury car in the first place? This is the most important question of all. Would like to buy one because you want to look better off among your friends and colleagues? Would you like to impress somebody? Or do you simply like to own one, park it around the house, and pull it off the garage whenever you want to arrive in style at some place? While these are all good reasons to buy luxury cars, they are not sufficient enough to justify the price of these vehicles. Even if you're buying a second-hand, it is still advisable that you go for a brand new sedan that performs better than a run-down BMW.

Luxury cars are expensive because they have lots of extras. For one thing, driving these cars is a lot more comfortable than driving anything else. The cabin is very comfortable and it is a quiet ride all the time. You'll never hear the noise of the engine as you drive it. Also, the body of the car is impeccable. No flaws or inferior materials used whatsoever. Luxury cars are cars made for the king. And that's why they're priced for the king too.

Maintaining such cars can be a pain in the pocket as well. This is yet another point to consider when buying luxury cars. Are you prepared to buy twice as much gas? Would you have the time and the means to leave the car at an expensive car care center for regular checkups? Keep in mind that your cash out would not be over after the purchase the car. Expect to spend more as you go along.<bio>Visit us and find the best new Nissans for sale in San Diego area, car finance in San Diego services and car repair.</bio>
