I recently received this email as probably over a million other people have. It comes in the form of a test and takes 6 Marxist styled statements that Hillary has made and asks you to guess who said them. I decided to look up these quotes and first see if they are real and second what was the context that they were spoken in to decide if they are really socialist statements. Each are quotes from Hillary, 4 are direct quotes and two are slightly pieced together. As children, we used to give singing recitals - especially at !! I am grateful for the exposure our parents gave us to music =96 even if dad was a bit single minded when, in the late 50's my brother Kenneth, bought home a recording of a new rock-n-roll singer called Buddy Holly I think dad thought it was not and that the record couldn't possibly be up to the same standard as his Beethoven or Mozart recordings!!

He used to have constant discussions with Kenneth about playing them on his' radiogram. And as for the Beatles and Rolling Stones records I wanted to play a few years later =96 no comment!!

Both my two brothers were taught to play classical music on the piano by our Aunty Win. For myself; it was 1962 and I was far too interested in my Uncle Frank's brand new to concentrate =96 try as my mum did to encourage me!!

My eldest brother, Robert, turned out to be a highly accomplished musician =96 playing the French horn professionally for many years. Kenneth, my other brother, in later years, would get all his beer bought for him in the NAFFI bar, bashing out songs when we had a session - even if it meant he had a bad head on parade the next day!

After I left home and joined the British Armed Forces, I have to say my mates were not too happy about Grieg being played in the . Same problem as my dad had =96 different music. Anyway, over the years, I have developed a passion for all types of music and my collection of vinyl records has now grown to include Amadeus Mozart through to Led Zeppelin. But, I guess if I had to pick just one piece of music to take to that desert island it would have to be:

My favourite recording of this outstanding piece: (only one of several!) Deutshe Grammophon 136550 SLPEM (stereo - 1968) Karl Leister, Clarinet, Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik.

I bought this recording whilst stationed in Germany in 1970 =96 since then I have obtained other fine recordings of the Concerto, but I find Karl Leister's interpretation of the Adagio(in particular) perfectly captures Mozart's objective of writing the most profoundly expressive movement for a solo instrument.

If your computer is running slow, and you are sure you do not have a virus, spyware or adware you may try using some of these . The more special effects you remove the better.

Some of the effects that slow your PC are:

1. Pictures on the desktop background. A blank wallpaper is the best. Animations or even sounds in the background even more. Remove on the Desktop. This will be described further below as well.

Right click on My Computer icon and select properties. Go to Advanced Tab, and select Settings next to Performance. Finally select Adjust for best performance. Click OK twice. That is one of the best Win XP tweaks.

2. Is your browser by default plain, or did you install many extensions, themes and cursor symbols? Those slow down speed, so removing them is the best solution if you have a slow PC.

Switch to Windows Classic Theme by right clicking on Desktop and go to Properties.

3. Sounds also cause speed problems, so removing them is another good tweak. These include also startup and shutdown sounds. Remove sounds from your control panel. Double click on the Sounds icon.

4. A lot of MsWord, Notepad, Image and similar files scattered around on your desktop or located in shortcuts can be removed or arranged.

Create new folders, and organise your files. A folder for , images, sounds and so you do not waste space.

Shortcuts on your desktop, in start menu and anywhere else can be removed to . These are unwanted and are safe to be removed. You know if an icon is a shortcut or not because once you click delete you can read:

5. Use the to find unwanted files. WIn XP search tool allows you to search for certain file types. For example you can search for only images .gif or .jpg. You can find all the images on your PC, and remove all the unwanted image files. Same with sound files, documents and you will be amazed about this stuff that has piled up during the years. A brand new computer does not need to search for these files.

Be careful though when using this tweak. Do not remove files you are not sure what their use is. Some files may be system files useful for your PC to work well.

Doing so can damage your PC.

6. Bookmarks or favorites inside your web browser have their negative side too. Same with cookies, cache and browser history.

Remove unwanted sites from your favorites. In Internet Explorer remove cache, cookies and history by selecting Tools, Internet Options and clicking the desired action.

In other browsers these options can also be tweaked from the menu which is usually under Tools. Remove these unwanted files often, or weekly. A weekly or more often job is clearing your recycle bin which helps cleaning wasted space.

The best way to decrease or totally from your Inbox is to use a Gmail account. I tested a lot of accounts, such as , , adpost, Outlook express and mailup.

I noticed that Gmail is very good to , and even though I receive spam all of it ends automatically in the . I do not use any anti spam software. Although I receive even more than hundred emails a day the spam software is useless if you have a Gmail account. You can get it for free from the .

If you are receiving spam from the same people over and over again you can report them. If you use Gmail, you can contact the Google Team. You can also create a filter that will automatically delete all messages sent from a specific email address.

Common reasons you receive spam

1. You receive spam because people see your email address. That does not mean you have to keep it Top Secret. It means you must use your email carefully. If possible don't write it down in message boards, forums, groups or classified ads.

Treat your email address as if it is the key of an important door. Do not share it with everyone, or give it freely away to other people whom you do not yet know. Spammers find these email addresses online, anywhere. Then they start sending you messages or even sell your email to other spammers.

I have more than one Gmail account and you can too. If you have many contacts or do business you can just use one account for sending emails and another for something else.

2. Subscriptions to newsletters, ezines or any other subscription may be dangerous. Do not submit your Name and Email to all the subscription boxes you find online.

Some are so interesting that attract a lot of people, maybe cause they are giving away something for free. There are hundreds and thousands of newsletters, and usually they all give some freebie to attract new subscribers.

Use caution, and only subscribe to newsletters and ezines that you are really interested in, not just to receive the freebie. If you just need the freebie a good idea is to create a new Gmail account and name it myfrebbies. Then use that account just for getting freebies.

If the site is looking badly designed, or even some other things that are repelling you, then don't subscribe. The badly designed sites do not have good newsletters neither and they might sell your email or send you spam.
