When I first started studying the history of music, I did not know what I was getting into. I had a notion that music history was somewhat of a trivial pursuit...

Honestly, I only followed my history of classical music course because I needed the credits. I am sure some of you out there can relate to that. I did not know how fully interesting music history could be. You see, in our culture many of us do not really study to comprehend music. For much of the world, music is a language, but for us it is a thing that we consumed passively.

When I started to study about the history of Western music, however, it changed all that for me. I have had some experience using musical instruments, but I have never mastered one enough to really comprehend what music is all about. This class showed me.

When a lot of us think about the history of music, it means the history of rock music. We presume that the history is plain because the music is plain. In fact, neither is the case. The history of music, whether you're talking about classical music, rock music, jazz music, or any other kind, is always complex. New chord structures are set up carrying with them new forms of understanding humanity. New rhythmic patterns are established, carrying with them new methods of understanding history. And music shows all of it.

History of music nowadays is even more interesting. Even when the class was ended, I could not stop learning about the history of music. It had stimulated my appetite, and I wanted more. I acquired all the music history volumes that I could discover. I even started to examine forms of music that had not interested me before in the hopes of improving my musical knowledge further. When I was in school studying toward a very different subject - a degree in engineering - I had thought about giving it up and going back to obtain a degree in musicology. That is how much I am fascinated by the subject.

If you have never taken a course in the history of music, you don't know what you are missing out on. You do not miss what you don't know about in a way but then again... Believe me the CDs will never sound the same to you again. Actually not only the Cds but any type of media you are or will be using to play your favorite music. The whole thing will seem much more rich, much more luminous, and much more important. A new song can reflect a new way of being, and a new way of imagining existence in the world. This is what learning about the history of music means to many of us. Just try it and you will see.

Listening to music now has a whole new meaning. You can imagine all the different types of musical patterns there are in the world. It make your musical mind really expand. <bio>Paul Zirka Is A Well Known Internet Author And Enjoy Sharing His Knowledge With You The Reader.
If you're like me, a teenager or young adult, just getting started in the big wide world, getting credit can be tough. Most creditors want to see a solid credit history before they give you a loan. They seem to be as clueless as I am as to how to get a credit history. After all, how do you get a credit history when you have to have one to get credit? Duh!

As frustrating as it can be for a young person, there are a few ways to get some credit history, to at least give you a little something to show the bank.

Co-signer The easiest way to get started with credit is to get a parent, grandparent, etc. to co-sign a loan for you, usually a car loan. However, for some of us, that is not an option for one reason or another. Another option you can consider is a co-signed credit card. Just be sure that you pay your bills on time, or you'll just get yourself a bad credit history and be in worse shape than when you started!

Secured Credit Card You can also get a secured credit card. You would make a deposit of perhaps $500 to the issuing bank. They would then issue you a credit card with a $500 limit. That protects them, and will give you a credit history. A word of warning -- the leading bank that issues secured credit cards has a very bad record with the Better Business Bureau, so check out the bank first!

Secured Loan You can also get a small secured loan. You deposit $1,000 with the bank as collateral, and they loan you $1,000. This is really pointless, except it does give you a credit history.

Lastly, once you get some credit history, keep in mind that you may be able to get a fuel card or department store card before you can get a credit card. Check and see if the fuel / dept store card will report to the credit agencies and help improve your credit history.

One final tip -- if you're buying a car and need a car loan, a good salesman will help you get a loan. That's actually how I got mine -- along with a large down payment and a co-signature. <bio>For more great resources on credit and financing, visit the Money Forum: http://www.gotalkmoney.com </bio>

Before we actually dive into this vast subject, I would like to touch on a few things. Firstly, studying history is like studying any other type of subject in that it demands participation and a big amount of patience. The successful student forces him or herself to study, of course there are certain tactics to make the whole thing go by easier and more effective.

Having that said, you should know that the following advice is what I feel is the most appropriate approach to studying history, it does not imply (by any means) that it is the only way to study history, we should have this issue clear. Secondly, if this way of studying does not fit your way of learning, throw it out and never look back! What! Did I just tell you to dismiss my own advice? Well, yes, but only if you find it reprehensive enough to the degree that you feel that the advice will actually give you worse result than benefit. Albeit, here it goes:

Studying history is often perceived as boring=85 I have to disagree, it's not just boring it is really boring if you don't know how to tackle it! Here's my take on the two elements you should always look at when studying history:

a) The Reasons/Causes behind an event. b) The Consequences that followed.

By understanding why things happened and what the events led to, you have in fact answered most of the questions. This is what any person studying history should look at, in contrast to getting caught on all the details. So the first action you need to take when you've received a new history assignment is to write down all the possible causes to the event and the consequences that erupted due to the causes.

You will find that most of the time, finding the consequences is by far easier than trying to understand why it happened in the first place. <bio>Adam Abderisak, a.k.a.
I have many friends that brag about their amazing car history to anyone who will listen. They rant and rave about all of the great memories they have made with their car and they cannot stop talking about all of the great road trips their trusty car has taken them on. I'll be honest, I got a little jealous after hearing a few of their stories, so I decided to share a little car history of my own.

I love my car, I really do. I love it more than most everything I own and use. A few family photographs and notes from cherished friends are about all that top the love I have for my car. So I guess you could say my car history began the day I bought my beauty. September 5, 1999. Oh, I'll never forget that day. I'll never forget the way I felt as I test drove the car that would one day be the main character in my personal car history story. I drove her, I liked her, so I brought her home. (With a little help from mom and dad of course).

She wasn't in the driveway for more than one hour when I realized that I couldn't begin a true car history with a car that didn't have a name! So I named her. Princess Bug. I know, it sounds silly now, but at the time it felt perfect. The perfect name for the perfect car to enjoy year after year of perfect car history with. Right? Wrong. It is a good thing that I loved my Princess Bug from the start because it wasn't three months after purchasing her that she was in the shop for the first time. Nothing too major was wrong with her, but she still costed me more than I had planned on.

Other than a few annoying trips to the shop for repairs, the car history that Princess Bug has given me is filled with wonderful and cherished memories. I remember when me and three friends piled into Princess Bug and were determined to drive from our hometown in Indiana all the way to Hollywood and back in just a week. Some people say that ignorance is bliss, but since that roadtrip I've always said that ignorance is foolish. We never made it even close to Hollywood but our travels through Missouri and Illinois were pleasant enough to ease the sting of not seeing good ole Cali.

Princess Bug has given me a car history filled with many things to remember I guess. But if you're anything like I was before I started making a history with my car, you're really not that interested in what I have to say. You've been intrigued and now you can't wait to begin a car history with a special vehicle all your own. Just don't forget to name her! <bio>Martin Stoleman has become a self-proclaimed expert in making a special car history with his car.
Although they can be painful at times, life today without the ease of a credit card is no longer a reality. So, if you think you want a credit card, here are some essential factors you'll need to consider when applying for a credit card:

Your Credit History

One of the most essential elements to applying for a credit card is what you current credit history is.

* If you have a bad credit history, then it is going to be much harder applying for a credit card. * If you have a good credit history, then it is going to be much easier applying for a credit card. * If you have no credit history, then you may well need to create a credit history, by having a loan or hire-purchase agreement, before you can apply for a credit card.

If you're in any doubt what your credit history may be, then you should apply for a copy of your credit history. You can do this by applying for a copy of your credit history from a credit reference agency -- who may charge you a small sum for providing this to you.

Credit Card Limit

Having discovered that you have a good enough credit history to apply for a credit card, the next thing you need to do is to decide on how much of a credit line you want to apply for. Normally, what your income is will decided this -- but sometime your savings can also be important.

Depending on what your income and savings are, you can then apply for a regular credit card, gold credit card, or platinum credit card.

Submitting Your Credit Card Application Form

You now need to go through the process of choosing which credit provider meets your needs. Once you have done this, you can then submit an application to that credit card company.

Once the credit card company you have applied to has reviewed your application form, they'll either approve your application or ask you to comply with certain conditions. The type of conditions they may ask you to comply with include asking you to have some money on a deposit account with them.

Credit Card Application Is Refused

If your application for a credit card is refused, you must ask why. If you don't, you'll never know whether the application has been refused because you failed the credit rating test or because you completed the application form wrong!

If you failed the credit rating test, then you know you need to apply for a credit card with another credit card provider. However, if it is because you filled in the form wrong, you can still reapplying using a correctly completed application form. So don't be shy to ask "why?" if the credit card provider tells you that you failed in your credit card application! <bio>Joe Kenny writes for the credit card comparison sites http://www.creditcards121.com and also http://www.cardguide.co.uk </bio>

Credit history may be defined as a record of how a person has borrowed the debt and repaid the same over a period of time. A good credit history is an important aspect of your life.

Keeping a good credit rating is of immense importance to maintain the quality of life. It helps you to have easy access to loans at competitive rates of interest and with lesser formalities.

Establishing a credit history is the first step towards having a good credit rating. If you do not know your credit rating checking with the local credit bureau and getting a copy of the report would be the first step towards this end. Absence of credit history affects young and old. The problem of not having a credit history is also common among divorcees and widowed women as they might have shared the accounts with their spouse and that were reported in the latter's name. Building a credit history by applying for credit in a local business unit or bank may be resorted to in such cases. Another option would be to open a savings or checking account to show your management of Money. Paying the bills on phones and pagers on time will demonstrate the capacity to pay. Securing a standard or secured credit card may also solve the problem in building up a credit history.

Maintaining a good credit history shows your responsibility to pay off your debts. Should you feel that the debts are getting out of your control you should not hesitate to seek the help of a financial counselor who can assess the situation better and find the best option to bail you out of the trauma. A poor credit history may not only deny you further loans but also creates stumbling blocks in finding a job or letting out an apartment. The importance of rebuilding the credit history assumes significance in such a situation. Obtaining a credit card either standard or secured and making regular repayments and payments of various bills on time to mention a few would enable you to get back to a good credit rating. At the end a good credit history is your passport to the ever expanding world of credit... About The Author: Lavinia Snider is editor of Credit History Guard.
In the United States, a large amount of information is taught in local schools. This information is often vital to the success of a student. Math, science, English, physical education, and history are taught in many schools. The information taught in those subjects varies from school to school. Unfortunately, not everything that should be taught in a lesson plan is.

The history of Native American Indians is something that many individuals know little about. Native American Indian history is taught in most schools located on Indian reservations, but they should not be the only place where it is taught. Most public and private schools quickly cover Native American Indian history, but many students do not learn everything they could or should.

If Native American Indian history is not extensively covered in your child's school, there are a number of ways that you can educate them yourself. Many parents wonder why they should continue to educate their children on the history of Native American Indians. The answer varies, but there are number of different ways that a child could benefit from being educated on Native American Indian history.

As previously mentioned, there are a number of different ways to educate your children on the history of Native American Indians. Many of these ways can include the whole family. In addition to educating your child, your family could also spend quality time together. What could be more fun than that?

In history classes across the country, most students are educated in the form of books. Books are a valuable source of information, but there are ways to educate a child and have fun at the same time. Parents are encouraged to take their children to a Native American Indian museum. Native American Indian museums are located all around the country. They allow children to physically see Native American Indian artifacts and much more. This experience is more memorable than reading a passage out of a book.

Another way to educate your children on Native American Indian history is to play a game. There are a number of online websites that offer homemade game ideas or you could develop your own. Board games or flash card games can be developed. These games can easily include important Native American Indian history facts. Children of all ages love games and it is a fun way to learn at the same time.

In addition to playing a history game or visiting a museum, it is also possible to learn the history of Native American Indians by watching movies. There are a wide variety of educational movies available for parents and children of all ages. Watching these movies together as a family is a great way for everyone to educate themselves on the struggles that the Native American Indians faced and the victories that they achieved.

It has been said that children that are educated on the history of multiple cultures will grow-up more diverse. Don't limit your child by only letting their school educate them. You never know, but you may learn valuable Native American Indian history facts yourself. <bio>Edward Charkow is the administrator for American Indian History.
Ferrets are a lot of fun in a small package. But where did they come from? Have people always kept them as pets?

The history of ferrets dates back many, many years. For those that are looking for a pet that has been around a long time, the ferret may just right. Today, they seem unique and different from the common dog or cat, but they have been pets, or at least domesticated, for quite a long time. The ferret's history can be traced well back into the times of the ancient Egyptians. These people used them to guard their grain supplies. This is not certain, because many believe that Europeans mistook cats for ferrets. Nevertheless, these pets have been around for a very long time.

The history of these pets dates back for years. They have been found in remains that date back to the time of the Egyptians, but it may be much longer than that that they have been around. In ancient history, these animals were not necessarily pets. They are thought to have been domesticated approximately 1500 years ago.

It is thought that the ferret was bred from the European Polecat, thought it may be that they were bred from the steppe polecat. In either case, the animals seem to have a high level of similarity in their features, and it is through this they are related. While the history of the ferret is something that we may not ever know, it is definite that they have had a role in the lives of people throughout history.

The ferret is a creature that can adapt to fit the lifestyle that it needs. Its body and its curiosity are supposed to have been bred for hunting, as they could easily get down into holes to get their prey. They may have been bred for their abilities as well. Many of them are quite smart, and have been used to carry lines through tight holes and much more.

Clearly, throughout the ages, people have recognized the value of the ferret as working animal. <bio>Linda Jones contributes to several web sites, most recently http://nozib.com and http://mycur.com </bio>

You might learn sports memorabilia history from your grandfather, who lived to tell the tales of rare moments in history, because he was at the event and saw the action up close and personal. These sports memories are fond ones, and are related on days when the children gather around on the porch because rain is keeping them from playing in the yard.

People place a lot of importance on sports memorabilia history, because it is that history that helps them support their families. Sports memorabilia retailers learn a lot about the sports that surround their business, and know truly collectible items are genuine when they see the various holograms attached to the sporting products that they have in their sports memorabilia collectibles inventories.

Other people prefer to reflect back on the sports memorabilia history by viewing historic football games that were captured on video tape. These tapes explore all of the mythical history that surrounds football clubs, and tell about the rich history of any football franchise. The early days of baseball, football and hockey can be viewed time and again, to all family generations that want to learn about sports memorabilia history.

In sports memorabilia history there is a great amount of humor, and commentary to be heard during games gone by the wayside, but preserved on audio tapes that reflect the blow by blow sports memorabilia history in its true form. Some of these sportscasters are no longer with us, but a part of them remains behind in sports memorabilia history caught on tape.

Other sports memorabilia history items will make time stand still. When you can hold sports memorabilia history in your hand, by forming your fingers around a collectible baseball that was signed by the great Stan the Man, Stan Musial, then you have a true piece of history that comes directly from a man who was awarded Most Valuable Player three times, and played in 24 All-Star games.

Perhaps you would want to own a piece of sports memorabilia history that was hand-signed by a man that broke many records. When you hold a bat signed by the great Hank Aaron, you have in your hands the tool used to make him the lifetime leader in total runs batted in and total bases earned.

This piece of history does not occur but once in a lifetime, and when you have this type of sports memorabilia history in an honored corner of your living room, encased behind a glass display case created especially to display this sacred piece of history, then you are indeed rich in sports memorabilia history.

Sports memorabilia history is reflected in the achievements of such greats as Peyton Manning, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. The stellar records that these people amassed over a lifetime career, are true reflections of sports memorabilia history.

When a persons accomplishments are so staggering that everyone that views them will be impressed to know that Peyton Manning threw a football more than 33,000 yard, and scored more than 240 touchdowns during his still active career. A hand-signed National Football League football will be a great gift for any Indianapolis Colts fan to enjoy for years to come. <bio>Linda Polansky writes about http://www.teamlogoandgear.com/ </bio>

If you have never had credit in your name, financing a new or used car may be problematic. Still, there are ways to get around having no credit history. Several auto lenders offer loans to all types of people. If you have bad credit, no credit, or a recent repossession, there is a lender willing to help you. Here are a few tips to help first time car buyers get approved for loan.

Apply for a Major Credit Card or Gas Card

If financing a new or used car, it helps to have some sort of credit history. This way, lenders can receive an idea of likely credit habits. When a person with no credit history attempts to buy a car, most finance companies are hesitant to approve the loan application. Although some lenders will take a chance, those with no credit history will pay a higher interest rate.

Having at least one credit card can contribute to getting a low rate on an auto loan. Auto finance companies prefer applicants with a previous credit history. With this said, it may help to get approved for a major credit card, gas card, or store card.

For six months, pay the creditors on time and keep low balances. When an auto finance company reviews your credit report, they will notice a good payment history and approve your loan with confidence.

Use a No Credit Auto Loan Lender

If applying for a car loan with no credit history, skip dealership financing and find a local or online sub prime auto loan lender. Sub prime lenders offer many loans to accommodate different credit types. Thus, individuals with a terrible credit history can get approved easily. The auto loan rates offered to those with no credit history are reasonable, and generally lower than rates offered by the dealership.

Use a Co-signer Responsibly

Establishing a strong credit history takes time. If you are eager to get a car loan, and you prefer a low rate, use a co-signer. Co-signers are required to sign the loan agreement. As the primary car buyer, you are responsible for the loan payments. Keep in mind that co-signers become responsible for the loan if you are unable to repay. <bio>Try using http://www.abcloanguide.com/autoloans.shtml for a No Credit Car Loan online. ABC Loan Guide's recommended lenders are reputable and competitive in their rates. </bio>

Many people believe that the banks will turn their request down due to their lack of credit history, which is possible for small businesses and new start-ups. But one can get a credit card if he has a steady source of income. Most people stumble into the same kind of problem when it comes to using and managing their credit card. Most banks ask for prior credit history or some kind of guarantee so that it could be proved that the applicants business will be a good payer. But most of the time people lack this. It is true that building a credit card history is not easy but it's possible.

Banks are hesitant to issue a credit card to users who are unable to show their credit history. This may involve young people and those who are applying for a credit card for the first time. They will always face this problem. If your business has a good credit history and you don't, or even vice versa, then consider applying through the most reliable source.

This problem has many solutions. Some banks routinely offer visa and master cards to first time applicants. It's true that at first you will not have a credit history, but you may have to make a credit history some where down the line. Making mortgage payments, either through your business or otherwise, is a good indication that you intend to pay on time every time.

What if the applicant doesn't have a credit history at all? Then he has some other alternatives. Go and buy a shopping card from your departmental store or a gas station. They offer store and gas station specific cards, and they will most likely give you their card. Use that card wisely and mange and properly to build your credit history. Buy something from the store and then pay it off on time when the statement arrives. You may do this for several months and then re-apply for a visa or a master card. The bank will then have a proof of your steady income and this credit history as basis upon which they will decide whether or not to assign a card to the applicant.

Another way of establishing a credit is to get your self a debit card. Debit cards work like credit cards but they are issued when a bank account holder applies for it. They are issued easily. They are secure in the sense that the user can not exceed the amount he has in his bank account. This is a good option for those who are having problems in establishing their credit history and getting a credit card for the first time.

Remember that it is extremely important that you pay off in time if you are using gas station or departmental store's card because that will be the credit history you will show to the bank. As long as you pay on time and do not carry a large balance from month to month, you have got yourself in the list of likely candidates for a credit card. <bio>Devin Gilliland provides information on how to apply for credit cards at http://www.credit-wisdom.com </bio>

Over time Texas Hold'em poker has become a popular pastime throughout the world, as it features players from all over the world who can even compete in tournaments for large amounts of money. But before today the game has made several different changes to get it to where it is today. The history of Texas Hold'em poker is one that is long and has evolved over time through many countries. Throughout the history of Texas Hold'em poker the game has featured many additions, but the substance of the game is still the same.

The history of Texas Hold'em poker originated around the middle of the tenth century in China. Mu-tsung, the emperor of the country at the time, was a fan of the game of "domino cards," which is the first time in the history of Texas Hold'em poker that the game or a variation of it was recorded. The history of Texas Hold'em poker continued to evolve across the world, as cards found in Egypt dating back to around the thirteenth century appear to be similar to cards used in the game today. This has caused for many to believe that the game originated from ganjifa, a card game that was popular in India, thus spreading the reach of the history of Texas Hold'em poker.

The history of Texas Hold'em poker continued into Persia. The game "as nas" has some similarities to Texas Hold'em poker in that it is a game that uses five cards in each hand. A major difference between the two games, however, is that in "as nas" only twenty five cards were used, and there were five suits of cards as well. It is also considered in the history of Texas Hold'em poker that the Persians taught the Germans this game during the seventeenth century. The Germans then spread the game, which was referred to by them as "pochen," to France. The French then referred to the game as "poque," and the habit of bluffing was then created as part of the strategy by the French.

The history of Texas Hold'em poker eventually moved into the United States. When settling in the French town of New Orleans the French would travel along the Mississippi River and played the game around there. Also, the people would teach others who were interested how to play the game. This would then by spread by people who learned the game through settlements and other towns in the country.

The most important moment in the history of Texas Hold'em poker occurred during the American Civil War. During this time the Americans began to use the traditional English set of cards for the game, meaning that the normal fifty two cards in four suits that are used today began to be used. The last major part of the history of Texas Hold'em poker came in 1875, when a wild card for the game was introduced. This wild card is better known as the joker card. <bio>Jane Wyvern is an established freelance writer.
The history of your credit is a record which reflects all your previous financial obligations and the total load of your debt. Agencies of credit reference utilize this record in order for them to assess if you are worthy of being offered a loan. You will also be assigned with a credit score based on the history of your credit. Your lender is going to utilize this credit score to assess if he should underwrite a loan for you or not.

You may get a bad history of credit when you make late payments, when you miss out a payment, when there is a default on your debt or when there is failure to fulfill a commitment or contract on finances. The more your bad history of credits pile, the more likely it is that you are not going to get a loan. Another factor that could mar the report of your credit is the constant change of your address or employment. If you think that you will not be able to get a loan because of your bad credit, then you are wrong. Fortunately, there are lenders who provide loans to borrowers with a bad history of credit. This kind of loan is called a bad credit loan. With a bad credit loan, the chances are, you are likely to settle a higher rate of interest compared to a borrower with a reputable history of credit. Aside from high interest rates, the amount that is available for you will possibly be lower. And what is more, you can redeem the history of your bad credit once you obtain a bad credit loan. When you are responsible over the repayment of your bad credit loan you can enhance the score of your credit.

When you avail of a bad credit loan, you are offered with two alternatives which are the unsecured or secured bad credit loan. The secured bad credit loan, usually, includes using a property as a collateral against the loan that you will be availing. In the case of residence owners, they use their homes as their collateral. Your lender will ascertain the amount of your bad credit loan and the interest rates depending on several factors. These factors basically includes the worth of your house, credit score and, the total load of your credit. The weighing of these factors differs with various lenders. There are lenders who consider most of these factors while, there are also other lenders who do not. It is essential to be aware of the criteria that each lender accepts. On the other hand, the unsecured bad credit loan is hard to obtain. It presents a risk for the lender, so he is cautious whether he should underwrite your loan or not. When you badly need an unsecured bad credit loan, you can apply for one from sub-prime lenders. They are the type of lenders who work especially with borrowers who have a bad history of credit.

So, when you have a record of bad history in your credit, you have to remember that you can still avail of a bad credit loan. This is your option in order for you to clear your record, as well as, get a loan. With your bad credit loan, there is still hope for a new car and a redecoration of your house. <bio>Thomas Champeval is a writer for http://www.bad-credit--loan.net/, a premier resource in the financial world. </bio>

That's because the lenders want a guarantee they'll get their money back even if you don't pay your loan. They want to make sure they can resell that car for a profit. Don't ask for the full sum of money. Instead make a down payment. That's the difference between car value and loan amount. This will decrease the risk of the lender and will improve your chances of being approved.

Use the Internet to Inform Yourself

Use the Internet to search for the lowest rates. This is the first thing to do, actually. Inform yourself on the loan rates different lenders are offering. If you're going directly to dealerships they will tell you that you can't get a better rate because of your bad credit. Search the Internet and you'll discover this is not always the case and that you can get a lower interest rate even with a bad credit history. Inform yourself then go to auto dealers. You can even get preapproved online, which will give you a stronger negotiating position when you do go to auto dealers. If an auto salesman knows you already have financing, they will take you more seriously and probably offer you better deals.

Repair Your Bad Credit History

If you have a bad payment history, this will have a negative impact on your chances of getting approved for an auto loan. But hey, this is history, right? If your have other credit accounts, be sure to make all your payments on time, at least 3 to 6 months prior to your auto loan request. This way you will prove your bad payment history is a thing of the past and your chances of being approved for an auto loan will significantly increase. <bio>Graham Wellington offers loan advice and is the owner and operator of the loan site http://www.loancentralstation.net. </bio>

Blemishes and events we'd rather not remember have one thing in common: they can be wiped off. Whether the blemish is on your shirt, furniture, or credit history, it can be cleaned up. Clearly, a tarnished credit history should not prevent you from owning a house. Late payments, repossessions, write-offs, and bankruptcy are sure to leave stains in your credit history the size of a crater. The good news is that they can be cleaned. The bad news is that it cannot be done overnight. In fact, cleaning up your credit history would most likely take you a year at the very least.

You Can't Clean House Without Cleaning Up Your Credit History A home mortgage lender is a businessman who will not fork out any sum without the assurance of getting it back. This is why home mortgage lenders verify would-be homeowners' credit history before granting them their loans. Credit history is as good an indicator as any of a borrower's willingness to pay off debts on time. For the same reason, blemished credit history make home mortgage lenders nervous - and with good reason, too! Think about it. If you are a home mortgage lender, wouldn't you quail in your shoes at the possibility of not getting repaid?

Spotting the Spots While home mortgage lenders would rather have borrowers with pristine credit history, they don't shut the doors on borrowers with smudges on their ratings. In fact, home mortgage lenders are very understanding when it comes to late payments and reporting errors. They are not as forgiving, however, of unpaid debts or loans that have been written off as bad debts by creditors.

So, what kind of spots do home mortgage lenders look for in your credit history? They're on the look-out for old, outstanding debts and bad debts incurred anytime during the last 12 to 24 months.

Spots No Maid Can Clean If your credit history is riddled with old, outstanding debts and recent debts, don't call the maid or a credit repair company. Many credit repair companies promise you miracles. They swear they can clean up your credit record overnight. Always take claims like this with a grain of salt. The only person who can clean up your credit history is you. How do you go about this mission?

* Pay your current bills on time. Continue doing so because this will reflect favorably on your credit history.

* Avoid borrowing anything while you haven't fully paid off your debts. Not only should you work at getting out of debt, you should also focus on staying out of it.

* If you have many loans to pay off, work out a schedule for eliminating as many of them as you can. Many home mortgage lenders do not grant loans to people who owe too much. As a rule of thumb, mortgage payments should not go over 36 to 38 percent of your monthly obligations, the amount of which is a combination of your credit card payments, child support, alimony, student loans, and the like.

Blemishes are seldom permanent. If anyone with a rag can wipe smudges off a coffee table, you can do the same, too, with your credit history. <bio>Looking for a home mortgage lender ( http://www.whataboutloans.com/mortgage/mortgage-lender.html )?
Coffee is probably one of the most popular beverages consumed by adults, yet many do not know coffee history very well. Understanding cofee history will make you appreciate that rich aroma you love so much. According to Arabic legend an Arabian goat herder was going about his daily activities when all of a sudden his flock of goats began dancing around a green leafy plant. The plant appeared to have cherries growing from it, the goat herder decided to give this fruitful plant a try. He noticed that he was experiencing a stimulating effect that allowed him to stay awake for hours. Once he let others in on his secret, they began using coffee for the same reason. It is said that once introduced to a priest, he began promoting coffee and its effects throughout the monastery for continued prayer sessions. Low and behold, we had an eye opening beverage that would soon become a frequent pick me up favorite.

Coffee History Begins in Ethiopia

Although many believe the goat herding legend as to be true in discovering coffees history, others need a more evidence than this to believe in when it came to discussing the history of coffee. Scientists have discovered botanical evidence that proves that coffee Arabica began in Ethiopia and then was somehow taken to Yemen, where it was then served up in the Mecca in one of the very first coffee houses in history since the 6th century. It became more of a personal favorite used for enjoyment, rather than putting it to use for its stimulating effects.

America Loves It

Wherever it originated, coffee is a popular choice of hot beverages. The number of coffee houses open for business now is amazing. There is one on every corner in America and is served in a variety of different ways. You can know get coffee drinks hot or cold, with or with out flavoring and it is made to order. Many prefer instant coffee when serving coffee in their homes. This shows just how far coffee has come since its history began.

Coffee, Coffee, and More Coffee

Now it seems as though we are obsessed with coffee, you can find it everywhere. Coffee candy, coffee ice cream, coffee syrup, coffee creamers and the list will continue to grow. With coffee being such a favorite, did you ever stop to think that we had an Arabian goat herder to think for this rich tasting drink we all enjoy so much? <bio>Roland Jefferson is an online researcher based out of Los Angeles, Calfornia.
Credit cards are used in almost all day-to-day transactions nowadays. From buying milk to getting a nose job, credit cards are the currency of modern times. Although far from totally replacing real money, a credit card is necessary in order for you to have a place in today's trade and commerce. Applying for a credit card is typically easy; but in some cases, it is much like getting a camel pass through a needle head.

Applying for a major credit card without prior experience or credit history makes obtaining one a far more difficult process. A credit history is needed to measure your capability to pay amounts owed and it also allows the issuing company to provide you with a credit limit and payment plan that can best suit your lifestyle and personality. The absence of a credit history will almost make companies balk at the idea of giving you a credit card; on the other hand, if you are not issued a credit card, there is no way that you can have a credit history. Before this whole issue looks more like a chicken-and-egg debate, here are honest tips that can help you apply for a credit card while you still do not have a credit history.

Explore Other Credit Options

Most of the time, the major credit card companies are the ones who give people without credit history a hard time in applying for a credit card. It is therefore incumbent upon you to look for other credit card options through which you can build your credit history. Usually, smaller companies offer more leniencies to people who do not yet have credit card history.

Entities like department stores and gas stations issue credit cards with small credit limits. If you are issued a credit card from smaller companies, always remember that your goal is to eventually obtain credit cards issued by major international companies, so make it a point to build an impressive credit history by paying your obligations to smaller credit card companies.

Credit Cards Issued By Unions

Being a member of some credit union has its benefits as this type of union issues credit cards to their members. Hence, as a member, or as someone who is qualified to join a credit union, you can take advantage of getting your first ever credit card on which you can build on your credit card history. While obtaining a credit union card can be fairly easy for members, it does not mean that the union gives out its cards blindly. Again, make it a point to pay your debts on time.

Try Secured Credit Cards

Go look for moneylenders who are ready to issue a credit card that has a credit limit amount equal to or a little higher than the cash you have deposited in their favor as security. You may think that this setup is like cooking you in your own fat, but the fact is you need to build your credit history, and if there are no other avenues to do that, secured credit cards are the way to go. Eventually, these types of moneylenders will increase your credit limit without asking you to deposit more cash security. After you have gained an acceptable credit record, you may be qualified to apply for credit cards from major issuing companies.

Truly, the way to apply for a credit card from major credit card companies is by having a good credit history. After you have gone through the different options mentioned above, look for a credit card institution that will evaluate your overall credit history and financial status; and just maybe, you will have your first credit card from a major company. <bio>Mario Churchill is the owner of the website http://www.supercreditcardoffers.com with links to online credit card offers. </bio>

The land of Greece has been around for thousands of years and although much of the power that they held is now a matter of history, it is certainly an interesting history to research. At one point during its rise to power, it contained an area of land that spread the entire way from the modern-day land of Greece to Egypt and from the Hindu Kush mountain range, all the way to Pakistan. Although it does not contain much area outside the actual land of Greece any longer, it still has a history that many individuals are interested in looking into. Here are some of the most notable individuals that came down of the Grecian history.

One of the more interesting individuals and probably one of the best-known to come out of Greece is Alexander the great. He is one of the most noted military men from history and his rule extended for several years in which he took over much of the then known world. As a matter of fact, if his life was not cut short at that time, he may have continued his military conquest well into the Arabian Peninsula. Much of the military victories that he achieved came within the 12 years after he came into power. His life was cut short, however, as a result of malaria. There is also some thought that he may have been poisoned or it may have been another virus that took his life. After his fall from power, his military machine was split into four separate parts and given to four of his top generals. One of these generals later became the head of what would eventually become known as the great Roman empire.

There were also many poets from this particular time period, one of the most notable being a poet named Homer. Believe it or not, this man may never have actually have existed and many scholars feel as though he were a compilation of a variety of different epic poets during that particular time. It is thought that if he was a man, that Homer was not his real name. If this man did live, it would seem that his life was during the middle of the ninth century, B.C. There are some other people, however, that put his life more toward the time of the Trojan war.

Although it is not necessarily an individual from history, the Trojan war is one of the more interesting things that happened to this particular culture. This is also something that may or may not have some basis in actual history. The Trojan war is a mythological war that was fought against the city of Troy. In order to obtain access to the city, which was reported to have extremely high walls, a large hollow horse was constructed and some of the elite fighting forces were hidden inside. Once this horse gained access to the city because it was considered to be a gift of peace, the soldiers came from the inside and quickly overtook the city by surprise.<bio>For more information on Greek history including the legend of the Trojan Horse please visit http://www.trojanhorsefacts.com</bio>

Credit cards are one of the most convenient tools that you can ever use today. Besides, you would really need this tool if you want to purchase something but you don't have the cash for it. With a credit card, you can virtually purchase the products or services you need even without carrying cash.

Credit cards are a very useful tool to manage your expenses.

However, before you apply for a credit card, you should first consider a few things in order for your first credit card application to be approved.

The first thing you should consider before applying for a credit card is your credit history. This is the most essential thing that a credit card company will look at when deciding if they should issue you a credit card or not.

If you have a bad credit history, it will be hard for you to apply for a credit card and vice versa. So, before you apply for a credit card, you should make sure that you have a good credit history in order for you to get approved for one easily. However, if you don't have a credit history, then you need to make a one. You can do this by taking out a small loan or through a hire-purchase agreement. After you make payments, you are now making your first credit history. Make sure you pay it off on time in order to get a good credit history and get approved for your first credit card.

If you don't know whether you have a credit history or not, you can always apply for a copy of your credit history, by doing this, you can know if you have a good credit history or a bad credit history or if you have any credit history at all. You can apply from a credit reference agency in your area for this document.

After discovering that you have a good credit history, the next step would be deciding how much your credit card limit should be. This is usually determined by your income. And, usually your savings is also important.

Depending on your savings and your income, you can then apply for a regular credit card, a gold credit card or a platinum credit card. These types of cards vary in credit limit and also have different benefits that you can have.

Usually the higher the credit limit the higher the fees will be. However, the benefits you can get with a higher credit limit are better than regular credit cards. Two examples would be frequent credit card user money back, and discounts on purchases with credit cards.

The next step in credit card application is submitting your application form. The credit card company you chose will then review the application form, check your financial background and will also check your credit rating. They will also ask you to comply with certain conditions in order for your credit card application be approved; such as asking you to have some money on a deposit account with the company.

Sometimes, your credit card application may be rejected. You have to ask the company why your application was denied. There are usually two reasons why the company rejects an application. The first is that you failed the credit rating test and the second is that you probably filled the credit card application form all wrong.

If you failed the credit rating test, you will need to apply in another credit card company. However, if you just filled the credit card application wrong, you can still reapply with the same company. And, this time, fill up the application form correctly to avoid getting rejected again.

These are the things you should first consider when applying for a credit card. Meeting all the requirements and conditions of the credit card company will ensure you of getting your credit card application approved. <bio>Mario Churchill is a freelance author and has written over 200 articles on various subjects.
