Ah, summer. The time of year when the weather's warm, the kids have a little more time off school, and it's time for a vacation. Theme parks and beach destinations make for great summer vacations, as well as island trips and continental excursions.

Many people have images of endless road trips when they think about summer vacation, but international travel is a wonderful way to spend the summer. In recent years, airlines have offered cheap airfare to entice travelers to think abroad when it comes to summer vacations. However, when you travel abroad for summer vacation, you need to make sure the destination you're traveling to has a comparable climate during your summer season.

If you're in the northern hemisphere (where the summer months are June, July, and August), the following travel destinations are great places to go on your summer vacation. Read about these locations and select a summer vacation destination that offers the best climate, sights, and activities.

Summer Vacation to France

May through June is the most opportune time to travel to France. The weather is optimal and tourist attractions are open and ready for your arrival. For a chance to experience a true French holiday, travel France in July and witness Bastille Day, a commemoration of the destruction of the prison that King Louis XVI and his predecessors used to quiet social disruption and censor or torture public irritants. The day is symbolic of the value of social freedoms and democratic governance to the French people. The main celebration takes place in Paris at the former site of the Bastille. Read more about summer vacations to France and find discount airfare to France at http://www.cfares.com/france/.

Summer Vacation to Germany

Not as warm as a Southern California summer (Germany's summer temperatures range from 75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit), Germany still offers reasonable weather for summer vacation travel. The German landscape is still comparable to your favorite fairytale or Robin Hood adventure. Castles in the sky preside over the rich green forests where Hansel and Gretel ventured to meet their witch. The Black Forest (Schwarzwald) is famous for its intense evergreen canopy, vast outdoor activities and secluded get-a-ways. Read more about summer vacations to Germany and find discount airfare to Germany at http://www.cfares.com/germany/.

Summer Vacation to Northern Italy

Northern regions in Italy have warm weather during North America's summer season as compared to southern regions in Italy where summers can be quite wet. Northern Italy regions include Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Trentino-South Tyrol, Aosta Valley, Veneto. So if you want to travel during summer, you should focus your travels on more northern regions. However, don't let questionable weather deter you from visiting the southern regions of Italy. No other country on earth offers the depth, breadth, and scope of Italy. For lovers of art, history, architecture, or music Italy is unsurpassable. Read more about summer vacations to Italy and find discount airfare to Italy at http://www.cfares.com/italy/.

Summer is the ideal time for vacations. There's no school and many destinations around the world have perfect climate conditions to accommodate your traveling desires. If you have the itch to travel, summer is truly the best time to spread your wings and fly.

Note: Countries in the northern hemisphere have similar summer months. So when searching for a summer vacation destination, it's a good idea to stick with countries in the northern hemisphere. <bio>cFares is the first choice thousands of knowledgeable travelers are using right now to save hundreds of dollars on low airfares.
When most people think of Italy, they think of the food, the art museums, or the ancient Roman culture. What most people don't know about Italy is that it can be a great destination for people who want to include some gambling on their vacation. Although Italy doesn't have many casinos, the places they do have are well worth the visit for tourists who want to experience something a little different than what they expected on a trip to Italy.

While there are only a handful of casinos in Italy, visiting one of them is well worth the trip. There are two distinctive sides to gambling in Italy. One is very much like the American version, casual clothes and lots of slot machines. On the other hand, many Italian casinos have what is called the "French Games" section. Even in the more casual Italian casino, the Casino Municipale di Campione d' Italia in Campione d' Italia, part of the casino has a dress code as well as an entrance fee (about $12.50 US). The other Italian casinos, including Casino De La Vallee in Saint Vincent (near Turin), Casino Municipale di Sanremo in San Remo (near Nice, France), and the Casino Municipale di Venezia in Venice, don't allow people in street or casual clothing and all charge some type of entrance fee. Indeed, Italian casinos epitomize the glamorous image of European gambling made famous in James Bond movies.

All of the cities mentioned only have one casino except for Venice. The Venice casino is interesting because it is really one casino split in two, one which is open in the summer and the other that is open in the winter months. Also a little bit different is that the Casino Municipale di Venezia also offers gin rummy tournaments in addition to the gambling.

Besides the dress codes and the entrance fees, there are other things to be aware of before you plan a trip to an Italian casino. The first thing is that in all of Italy's casinos, the language spoken is Italian. If you are planning on spending any time in casinos, you should, at the very least, learn some Italian phrases and other gambling vocabulary. Also, the gambling age in Italy is 18 so students and younger people who may not be allowed to gamble in the USA, where the legal age is 21, are permitted to do so in Italy. In addition to gambling, Italian casinos feature live music and entertainment as well as restaurants and nightclubs. One thing Italian casinos do not have, however, are hotel rooms, so lodging arrangements need to be made separately. <bio>This article is the property of http://www.casinos-italiani.com

Before you use my article(s), you must agree to my Terms of Service http://www.incomekey.com/terms_of_service.html </bio>

For people who somehow do not know what the World Cup is, it is the world championship of football or soccer as the Americans call it. It is held every four years and involves almost every country on the planet Earth is involved. This is why almost after the finals were over; they begin starting the tournament almost right after the finals. It takes almost four years to whittle down to the teams that play in the finals.

By the time the tournament finals, they have whittles down about 200 teams to 32 teams. The 32 teams are divided into eight groups that have four teams. They compete against each other in round-robin tournament that whittle down the teams to the knock-out stage. In the knock-out stage, it is when the teams have to win the game. If they lose the game, they are out of the tournament for good. The final game this year was between France and Italy.

Italy was able to make it to the based on a balanced attack. This means that their defense was as good as their defense. They only allowed two goals throughout the finals. They even beat the host country, Germany.

France made it to the finals by sheer force of will. Half the team was retiring this year. Zinedine Zidane, the captain of the team, was also retiring after the tournament. His experience and his teammate's experience allowed them to get them to the finals. Zidane was honored with the Golden Ball award for being the best player in the tournament.

The final game could have been seen as the old versus young. A team, full of nearly retired people, was playing against a relatively young team. IT won because the oldsters acted like youngsters. One of the Italian players said something to Zidane about his mother. Instead of being the cool-headed oldster that he usually is, Zidane head-butts the Italian player and is thrown out of the game. Zidane is not there for the penalty goal phase when the game ends 1 to 1. France loses the game because one of their members decides to act like a 5 year-old. <bio>Dana Bradley writes about http://www.teamlogoandgear.com and http://www.teamlogoandgear.com/Coupons/FansEdge.com.html. </bio>

Learning French in France is far and away the best way to pick up that language, and if you have any doubt about that, take a look at me. For years and years, I studied the French language, but until I took a course to learn French in France, I never really got anywhere.

You can take as many French courses as you want to in high school and college, but they will only get you so far. If you want to study a foreign language and really learn it, the bottom line is that you have to go to the place where that language is spoken natively, or you will never master it.

There are many reasons for this, but I will just go through the very most important one here. One of them is simply that it is easier to learn a language when you need it to survive. If you try to learn French in America, you only really work on your French skills during the time that you are doing homework or in class. Even if you only speak French when you are in class, that is only a few hours a week at most, much less time than if you were to learn French in France.

When you are learning French in France, you get to pick it up all week the time and not just for a few hours a day. You will not only learn French in France from your classes, but also talk with strangers on the street, from looking at street signs, or buying food. In short, everything that you do there will help you learn French in France, so it is easy to see why it is so much better of an option than continuing to study it in America, or some other non French speaking country.

If you want to learn French in France, the best way to do it is through a foreign language program. Although there are thousands of programs that maintain to be able to teach you French in France, they vary in quality, and only a few of them are really good.

It is important to do thorough research and not just go on the first learn French in France program that you see, as you might end up having a very bad time at it. You might even fail to learn French in France in the process. But a good program could just be the adventure of a lifetime. <bio>Luke T.
The South of France has the enviable combination of miles of coastline and fertile rural landscapes and has been the inspiration for artists, composers and writers as well as the new visitor.

Where is it?

The term "South of France" is usually used to describe the southern stretch of the country's coastline that runs between Spain and Italy, and the rural inland areas that include Provence and the Lubéron. With its warm climate, fertile landscape and developed coastline, it is one of the most regularly-visited parts of Europe.

Where can I stay?

Unsurprisingly, for somewhere as popular as the South of France, there is no shortage of hotels, guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and camp sites. For a true taste of the area though, stay in one of our recommended boutique hotels. Small and intimate, they are a home from home and turn a basic holiday into a luxury retreat. All of these hotels offer well-designed and contemporary rooms and the service is discreet and impeccable. Good food usually goes hand-in-hand with the cool rooms and public areas - by choosing one of these hotels you'll be treating yourself to a memorable stay in the South of France.

What can I see?

The South of France is too big an area to be fully explored in a single holiday, which is why many people return year after year. Some of France's most expensive resorts lie on the south coast, including St. Tropez and Cannes, and where better to watch the yachts and fashions of the rich and famous? The area is famous for its coastline, sailing and water sports and for the cities that lie near it: Nice, Marseilles and Montpelier for example. Inland, Provence is well-known for its rolling landscapes, stretches of vineyards and swathes of wild flowers. With no shortage of historic buildings, local markets and museums to explore, the South of France has something for everyone.

How do I get around?

If you're planning on exploring the South of France, you should hire a car. The French, like most European countries, drive on the right hand side of the road and the roads are largely well-maintained, although many are toll-controlled and you will have to pay at marked toll stations to use the main road network. If you are planning on staying mostly in one place and just visiting major cities or tourist areas, then opt for the train system, operated by SNCF. <bio>Chic Retreats is a collection of cool, smart hotels with under 30 rooms and an eye for detail and design.
The summer after I graduated from college I had the unique opportunity to travel to France with my roommates and friends. A group of six of us left for France on the cheapest flight we could find the morning after graduation. We had plans to stay for the entire summer and just see what unfolded. None of us had jobs lined up or anything to rush back to, so we just took things in stride and determined to have the adventure of a lifetime. We learned quickly, however, that forgetting a French dictionary was not the best way to start a great summer.

We talked briefly about what we should bring on our journey to France, and I even remember hearing one of the guys mention that we would do well to remember a French dictionary since none of us spoke a word of French. I thought that advice was wise, but I never thought to bring a French dictionary myself. I was convinced that one of the more organized and responsible guys would surely remember to bring such a valuable tool for our survival.

I was wrong. Not one guy out of the six of us thought to bring a French dictionary with us on our journey. We realized this on the eight hour flight to Paris from our hometown of Chicago. We laughed about our mistake at first with sighs that we would just figure our way around and that we would be fine.

Landing in Paris we quickly learned that it would have been wise to include a French dictionary in our packing. We learned that while many French people speak and understand English, far fewer of them are willing to help lazy Americans who haven't taken the time to learn any of their language. So we were stuck in a country that mostly spoke English but that wasn't willing to help us get around their land.

We made it through what turned into a four month journey through most of France. We talked about leaving the country to explore nearby Italy or Spain, but we decided to remain in France and focus all of our time and energy on exploring this country in a more detailed way. We picked up small bits of French as we went along, but most of our weeks were spent struggling to make it from town to town on nothing but our English. A French dictionary sure would have been nice.

The moral of my story: bring a French dictionary the next time you visit France. Or better yet, bring a dictionary to any country you visit that doesn't speak your language. <bio>Triston Huntsmin has lived for years with the regret of not bringing a French dictionary on his first trip to France. He has since become fluent, however, and even lived in Paris for nearly ten years.
When you travel to France, you can't help but be taken in by the French customs and culture. France is a beautiful country, and the stereotype that the French are rude is blissfully wrong. When you take a trip to France, be sure to spend some time taking a break from tourist attractions to soak up the French culture and customs.

Eat Like the French

Everyone seems to associate French culture and customs with food, which isn't a bad place to start. The French love their food, and mealtime is a leisurely affair to be spent with family and friends. While it seems like many Americans try to eat as quickly as possible, often on the run in the car or in front of the television, the French eat slowly and savor each meal. The culture and customs of French eating trend toward long, leisurely meals with smaller portions of rich foods. The French sit at the table to eat (not in front of the television), and eat late dinners, often with multiple courses. And wine almost always accompanies the meal.

Fashion and Style

Fashion and style is often closely associated with France. And while many if the world's top designers hail from France, the custom of French culture is also highly fashionable. The French are, as a whole, well dressed and take pride in their overall appearance. While jeans, t-shirts, and sweatpants are commonplace in the United States, they are far less common in France. Women are known for their high heels, and the graphic t-shirts that are so prevalent in the United States are rarely seen. There is a feeling of formality, and well-made, well-tailored clothes are the norm. While you are in France, take a trip to one of the world-renowned department stores, such as Galleries Lafayette or Printemps to take in some French fashion.

French Customs and Culture for Travelers

There are some French customs and culture to know when you are traveling to France to make your trip more enjoyable. First, slow down. The pace of life in France is much more leisurely =96 take the time to enjoy your trip and to soak up the culture around you. Second, be sure to enjoy a meal or two in a French caf=E9. The caf=E9 culture is an essential part of France, especially in Paris, and no trip to France would be complete without it. When you are in a restaurant, the tip is generally included in your bill; generally, it is considered appropriate to round the bill up to leave an extra Euro or two for good service. And finally, make the effort to try to speak French, even if you can only ask if someone speaks English. http://www.living-in-france.org <bio>http://www.living-in-france.org </bio>

What do France, Italy, Spain, Australia, Chile, the United States of America, Romania, Germany, Portugal, Moldova, Hungary, South Africa, Croatia and Argentina have in common? Wine and wineries. These fourteen countries lead the world in the export of andquot;vino.andquot;

Italy is second only to France in the production of wines, and it's all thanks to the famous region of Tuscany - or Toscana as the natives call it.

You'll find Tuscany in the center of Italy. The famous fashion capital Milan is far to the north, near the borders of France and Switzerland, while Rome is a little to the south. Tuscany is a jewel set between the Tyrrhenian Sea on the west and the Apennines mountain range on the east. It consists of ten provinces, including Pisa (famous for the Leaning Tower of Pisa). The capital city is Florence (and it is here that you will find the historic Uffizi Gallery.)

Wine making in Tuscany is just as historic as Italy's architecture and art. Indeed, it extends as far back as the beginning of time.

The History of Tuscany

Tuscany was first settled by the Etruscans in around 800 BCE, who quickly discovered the wild vines growing in abundance on the andquot;sun-drenchedandquot; hills, and these grapes were carefully cultivated to improve their flavor.

Several varieties of grapes are grown in the region. Some of these grapes stand on their own when it comes to wine making - for example Cabernet Sauvignon comes only from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape, and the Lambrusco grape produces a variety of dry red wines: Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro, Lambrusco di Sorbara, Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce, and Lambrusco Reggiano).

Other wines are a blend of grape varieties. The famous Chianti is a blend three grapes -two red: Sangiovese and Canaiolo, and Malvasia, a white. (Although, there's a story there. Until the 19th century Chianti was made only from the Sangiovese grape. A famous Italian statesman, Bettino Ricasoli, decreed that chianti should be made of the blend of three grapes. But since 1995 that practice has been dying out and most Chianti these days is again made only with the Sangiovese grape.)

The history of the evolution of a certain wine is just as fascinating as the history of the vineyards from which they come.

If you are a wine lover taking a vacation in Tuscany, you'll want to visit a vineyard or two. Or more! You'll find fourteen andquot;wine roadsandquot; throughout the region - each one famous for the wine production from a particular type of grape. Follow each road and stop in at those companies and cellars which are open to the public.

Each of the provinces of Tuscany have at least one wine road - Florence and Grosseto have three each. Each road has its own sign system that indicates the wine it deals with, and the towns or places to stop of interest on it.

So renowned is Tuscany for its wine-making that several international travel firms offer tours devoted strictly to the wine lover. If you don't feel like exploring the Italian countryside on your own, one of these tours - with like-minded people, will be just the thing for you. <bio>Alastair Hamilton use to write for http://www.bikecyclingreviews.com .
Everybody has their own issues in learning a foreign language which includes not only the English speakers who are trying to learn other languages of the world; but the same principle applies to non-English speakers who are trying to learn English.

For any of you interested to learn the beautiful language of Italy, it would be a lot comfortable for you to go through your Italian lessons if you knew how Italian native speakers use a certain word or how a normal day goes among Italian natives. This doesn't mean though that you really need to go to Italy to learn and observe how Italians live their lives, but a background of what Italians do would suffice.

Don't worry about how you're going to turn out when you speak in Italian to an Italian local who lives on a different area of Italy, what's important is that you know how to use the Italian language in its standard form. Different regions or areas of Italy use different accents or grammatical forms so if you know you can handle the barriers within Italy alone, your Italian speaking skills can make it anywhere else in the world.

As a student of an Italian subject or course, you also have to realize that the Italians would rather prefer speaking their own language even when speaking to foreigners. English isn't widely used especially in Italy so if you happen to travel there for an immersion or to test yourself of your Italian-speaking capabilities, better to have your dandy dictionary booklet with you at all times. You'll find it more convenient to search for words when you ask a local about just anything. Sometimes though, sign language works.

If for some reason, your tongue can't speak what you really want to say in Italian, by all means; try to master at least basic Italian greetings and politeness. Italians would surely appreciate you speaking in their own language no matter how obviously difficult it is for you. <bio>Shareen Aguilar is a writer for http://learn-italian-program.com which has Memory Improvement Books and Memory Game Software for better Italian language memorization. </bio>

The country known as France offers investors a great opportunity to benefit from the ever increasing property values. France is very fortunate to have a stable housing market, which will continue to stay that way for years and years to come. The low property prices are always an attraction to the area, with strong growth and prospects to keep the overseas home buyer coming back for more. Locals view the legal system as safe, as it helps for those who are interested in French property. As you can tell, French real estate is very different from that of the United States.

Although there are many locations overseas that you can invest in, France is actually preferred to be one of the best.
If you plan to visit Italy it may much better for you to hire a car so that you able to get around much easier and visit some of the cities and towns. Car hire Italy is fairly simple and can be done relatively quickly.

There are a number of beautiful cities that you can explore when you get to Italy and one of them is Cagliari. Cagliari is located in the island of Sardinia and is its capital. It has been the capital city of Sardinia since the time of the Romans. The city is just over 250 miles in a west-south-west of Naples.

It is a medieval town and many of the buildings in the older part of the city reflect this. Some of the fortifications from the city's distant past can still be seen today in the city's upper parts. It is to this day a well know fishing spot and fish is caught in great quantities there. For many people who visit there as tourists it is where the arrival point in the island and they can even catch a ferry to neighbouring cities such as Naples and Civitavecchia.

The city possesses one of the best natural harbours in the world and it is wonderful to look at close to sea level. There is much to see in this city and equally much to do. Cagliari is also called "The City of Sun" and when you travel to any one of the many beaches like the Poetto Beach, you are likely to understand why this city has that name. You can also drive around in your Car hire Cagliari and visit some of the many shops and restaurants. There is something there for everyone. If you find yourself enjoying the city too much well you can always stay for a bit longer and enjoy it even more.

To get to Cagliari you can travel by plane and to get around you will need to get a car and you can hire one at the airport when you arrive. Car hire Cagliari Airport is easy to do as there are rental agencies located at the airport itself. The process should not take long and will be even shorter if you do your car hire before you get to the airport. This would save you a lot of time and get you exploring a lot faster.

If you prefer not to hire a car at the airport or to be picked up at the airport then you can do it so that you pick it up when you leave the airport, when you get into the city itself. Car hire Cagliari offers you a number of choices to hire cars and you have a good enough range of vehicle models to choose from. The cost of hiring a car is usually reasonable depending on where you did you booking. Once you choose the model you want and pay your fees you are ready to go explore this wonderful city. <bio>It is far easier to get around Italy by going for a http://www.anycarhire.com/car-hire/italy.htm Car hire Italy and if Cagliari is your destination you can do a http://www.anycarhire.com/car-hire/cagliari.htm car hire Cagliari or if it suits you better a when before </bio>

The author had an opportunity to ask from the people who make a business survey the in Italy and found that the market of gas for vehicles was a quite interesting because many people do not know that in some countries, the engines of the cars they drive in everyday life have been modified in order to be able to burn other kinds of gas that cost more lower than diesel or benzene.

Italy is a country that uses gas as their fuel, which are Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

The number from LPG Euro cars users association and the number from the manufacturer that produces modification kits for cars for other kinds of fuel indicated that there are 1.3-1.4 million cars that use LPG (or GPL in Italian), while 0.3-0.4 million cars use CGN (or Metano in Italian). Italy is a country that uses these two kinds of fuel the most in Europe, as well as the production of modification kits for cars.

On April 28th, 2006, the price of LPG in Italy was Euro 0.63/liter (USD 0.75), while Benzene was Euro 1.50/liter (USD 1.76), which was 2.35 times difference. It is the normal system that the price of LPG is lower than 2.3-2.5 times of Benzene's, while CNG's is around Euro 0.50/Kilogram (USD 0.60). This means that CNG's price depends on weight, not on volume.

Although LPG's and CNG's prices are much lower than diesel and benzene, the growth rate of them in Europe is slightly slow and starts to reach their peak point. We can see from many countries in Europe such as England, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and France, or some countries in Asia such as Japan and South Korea, small-sized cars with low-rate fuel burning engines are more likely to be the majority rather than large-sized cars with high-rate fuel burning engines. Modification of cars for CNG or LPG is more suitable for large-sized cars rather than small ones because it needs some space in the cars to install it, and the installation fees and price for the equipment are high around Euro 1500.00 so that the break-event point will be around 2-3 years or more.

The general property of gas is no color and smell, but what we can smell from it is from the chemical mixed in so that we could notice the gas leak. Gas for cars is the fully burning fuel, and this helps reduce the green house effect which causes the global warming. However, there is also a disadvantage from it. It is a fuel that can harm engines in the long-term because it is gas itself. There is no lubricity property, and it also creates high temperature in burning process.

Even though the gas for cars has nothing to do with our everyday lives, in many countries, it is widely used because of the different price of fuel in each country. If the price is too high, the alternative choice is always considered in users' calculation, especially with the public cars which run for very long distance each day. The cheaper one means the cheaper cost. Therefore, gas for cars would be a topic that must be talked about whenever the price of gas so high that many people cannot afford to use. <bio>Varon Sanornoi is the internet freelance writer. The vast majority of games were full of excitement and goals and there were very few unsavory incidents. Many supporters and experts have expressed their belief that the tournament was one of the best ever. The eventual winners were Spain who were regarded as the best team not only by virtue of the winning score line but also they were the team that played the best football, scored the most goals and conceded the least.

This year's European Championships was the thirteenth time it has been held since its inauguration in 1960. The tournament format was based on four groups with four teams in each. They played off against each other once and the top two teams qualified for the quarter finals. The group stage of Euro 2008 provided a fantastic display of open attacking football.

The opening game of the 2008 tournament was played out between co-hosts Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Holland failed to continue their earlier impressive performances by losing to Russia and Spain managed to defeat Italy on penalties after a tense game.

The semi-finals provided fantastic entertainment.
Italy is the land of romance, with historical monuments that make it to the Seven Wonders of the World such as the Tower of Pisa to the Vatican City, which offers a spectacle in itself with its famous paintings and sculptures. Italy has so much to offer that it will make you wish to come back again and again.

However, romance and history is not always the only attraction of Italy, there is yet another side that attracts tourists and fellow citizens alike and that is Italian casinos. Most large Italian cities will have a casino especially if it is a tourist attraction and frankly what part of Italy is not a tourist attraction?

Italy boasts to have kept its casinos open even during the war and many crowded the place during that time as well to escape reality and in search of lady luck. Out of all the casinos (and there are a few) the Venice's Casino is the most famous and highest earner of them all. Its success has made it possible to open yet another Venice Casino but this time in Malta, which will ensure them the top position in the future as well.

Italian casinos are very diverse and once such example is the casino situated in the town of Campione at the Italian Swiss border. To get to the 'The Campione d'Italia Casino' you have to cross the border on the Milan-Como motorway; the experience is well worth it as the casino has its own house rules, which are displayed at the entrance and which you should read very carefully. The good part is if lady luck does smile at you while gambling there all you have to do is open a Swiss bank account.

Most Italian casinos will open at approximately 2 pm and close anywhere between 4 am to 6 am. The legal age to gamble and drink alcoholic beverages is 18 and you will be required to have identification on you that has a recent picture; the best thing to carry is your driving license not passport. Most Italian casinos speak English fluently because of the large number of tourists visiting this beautiful country every year.

You will find all international casino games available in most Italian casinos with the international rules applicable. Enjoy the diversity and passion of this roman country and who knows in the country of saints and angels, lady luck may smile at you too. <bio>This article is the property of http://www.italy-casinos.net </bio>

History, wine, serene beauty, dramatic people and stunning views an Italy cruise has it all! You can visit the main sites of Italy on a European cruise or a Mediterranean cruise, but to really experience Italy - to really taste it - you need to immerse yourself in everything that Italy has to offer by taking an Italy cruise.

Italy cruises depart from several ports around the country. Many depart from Civitavecchia - the gateway port to Rome. However, to get the full Italy experience it is recommended that an Italy cruise be embarked upon from the ports of Savona or Genoa on the Ligurian Peninsula and taken all the way round to Venice, or vice-versa. This way, you will discover that there is a lot more to Italy than a cruise departing from Civitavecchia would be able to show you!

So, what delights await in this classical land? The Ligurian Peninsula is a true paradise. Largely undiscovered by mass tourism, quaint Italian villages line the coastline in this spectacular part of Italy. Beautiful sandy beaches alternate with rocky headlands, and magnificent coastal villages shine like beacons on the shore.

In Genoa you can discover the birthplace of Christopher Columbus and marvel at the citys stunning Gothic architecture. A little further to the south Livorno is a port of call worth spending a little time at. Here, you will be able to arrange shore excursions to see the famous leaning tower of Pisa, as well as visit the grand Renaissance city of Florence - home to Dante, Michaelangelo and the Medicis.

The Colosseum at Rome, Mount Vesuvius and the ancient city that it buried - Pompeii - are essential attractions to visit when on an Italy cruise, as is Rimini on the Adriatic Sea. From Rimini you can take a shore excursion to visit the enclave of San Marino, which is less than an hours drive from Rimini port.

Finally, irresistible Venice awaits as the final stop at the end of your cruise. Venice is a true waterworld, consisting of more than 120 islands through which a network of waterways can be explored by gondola. Renaissance-style architecture is everywhere in this city, and you will be able to take a shore excursion that takes in the famous Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs.

So, whether you want to discover what it felt like to be a gladiator in Romes Colosseum, peer into the gigantic crater of Mt Vesuvius or navigate your way around Venices canal system, an Italy cruise is a special adventure that you will never forget.. <bio>Jonathan Medcalfe writes about a variety of cruise destinations at his web site FG cruise.
The earliest Bingo games were played in Italy, somewhere around the year 1530, and played a role in the unification of the country. At that time, Italy started its own lottery system, called Lo Giuoco del Lotto d'Italia, which was done on a weekly basis. Surprisingly enough, this lottery is still around today, and is one of the major sources of income for the government of Italy, bringing in approximately $75,000,000 every year to the national budget.

In those early days, the game of Bingo was known as Le Lotto, and soon became very popular in France as well. The version that France adopted was slightly different than the Italian game played in 1530, and was actually pretty similar to the Bingo games that we play today. Each participating Le Lotto player was given a card with three lines going across, and nine lines going up and down, and as numbers were called, players covered up their cards. The player who was able to fill a row all the way across was declared the winner.

Other European countries soon started playing their own versions of the game. Teachers even used their own version to help children living in Germany learn multiplication. At this time, the game was still known as lotto, and went on to be used in many teaching and educational tools throughout the years.

After being dubbed Lotto, the game eventually was called Beano, before finally being dubbed Bingo many years later. The original game of Beano was often played at carnivals and fairs, and consisted of a horseshoe table with cards on top. Players would claim a numbered card, and the game leader would call out numbers, much as they do in Bingo today. As the numbers on the cards were called, those players would place a bean on top of the corresponding number on their cards.

The first player that covered one full line was declared the winner, and got a prize, which was usually a small doll. A toy inventor and salesman known as Edwin Lowe happened upon one of these games in 1929, but was unable to play because there were so many people lined up at the booth. When Lowe went home, he constructed his own version of the game, and invited friends and colleagues over to give it a try. Of course, the game was a big hit, and the more people played the more they wanted to keep playing.

During one of these games, one player got so intense that rather than yelling Beano when she had filled her line, she called Bingo, giving Lowe the idea to name his version of the game Bingo.Lowe soon became a successful toy salesman, and actually sold the rights to his game, so that other inventors could make their own versions, but keep the same name. Bingo soon spread like wildfire throughout the United States, thanks to Lowe's insight in letting others use the same name.

Soon, people started using Bingo for fundraising events, which really helped increase its popularity. Lowe played an integral role in inventing and developing many other Bingo-style games as well, all leading up to the game of Bingo that we all know and love today. <bio>Here is your guide to the latest online bingo reviews on the net, play online bingo here - http://www.squidoo.com/online-bingo-reviews/. </bio>

France is home to a huge number of casinos, both large and small, and is without a doubt the leader in the European casino scene. France casinos are found throughout the country, including several in Paris, but probably the most prestigious and glamorous are to be found in the south of France, along the famous Riviera, combining beautiful landscapes and fabulous weather with some of the oldest and most historic casinos in Europe. Foreign travelers flock to the south coast for a taste of the high life, and here as elsewhere in the country, casinos form an essential part of the visitor experience.

There are nearly 200 casinos in France, making it the country in Europe with the most such establishments; the largest concentration in any one city, unsurprisingly, is to be found in Paris, where there are eight casinos. The largest casino in Paris is the Cercle Hausmann, which has some 26 tables. However, France casinos are spread throughout the country, reflecting the French love of gambling, and the central role that France has played in the development of casinos (roulette was invented here, as well as blackjack). Additionally, France casinos have an ambience unlike those anywhere else, an elegance and tradition that stands in stark contrast to the somewhat more brash charms of casinos elsewhere, and a world away from the gaudy exuberance of Las Vegas.

Without doubt, the center of French gambling is the Riviera, or Cote D'Azur, on the south coast. The casinos of Cannes, Nice, and Antibes are among the most glamorous in the whole of Europe, and are must-see attractions for anyone visiting this part of the country. The Riviera is famed for its beautiful towns, chic shops, and almost year-round sunshine, which helped it establish itself as one of Europe's premier winter resorts in times past, though nowadays it is in summer that the region really comes alive. The most famous of all the casinos on the south coast, of course, is the Monte Carlo Casino, which is nearly one hundred and fifty years old. However, it is situated in Monaco, which is not part of France, but an independent principality ruled by the famous Grimaldi family.

Other famous France casinos can be found around the country, often at seaside resorts such as Deauville and Biarritz. In each of these towns, the casino has played a central role in the history and tradition of the area, cementing the place of French casinos in the popular imagination and making them an essential part of any visit to the country. <bio>This article is the property of http://www.france-casinos.net </bio>

Italy is a leader in fashion and design, second only to France and the Parisian shopping district that is the fashion capital of the world. When trends are set and forwarded to New York, they come from one of these two locations. That includes not only clothing but home and furniture designs as well. In order to be hip and in the know, it's important for designers in the United States to make pilgrimages abroad and see what the latest and greatest offerings are across the Atlantic. In terms of bedroom furniture, Italy has turned to the simplistic use of platform beds, which are modern and basic, with sleek lines and sharp angles.

In today's society, people change their minds frequently and want instant gratification. That's true the world over, even in places like Italy where the lifestyle is a little slower paced and less rushed. That means that, if someone wants their furniture to last through the changes in trends and personal style, it is essential for the pieces to be as generic as possible. Contemporary beds designed out of Italy are being manufactured this way specifically for such a purpose. Of course, because the furniture is meant to last through numerous redecorations and for many years ahead, the beds produced here are of the highest quality. At the same time, Italians are frugal and won't spend more than necessary, looking for the best value for their buck.

Of course, in Italy just as in many European nations, the apartments or "flats" as they are called are much smaller than what people are used to in the United States, so furniture has to accommodate the space available. This leads to combination pieces like bookcase headboards, which offer a place to store books and other important items that need to be accessible while not taking up extra space. It will also grace the head of the bed with style that reflects personal taste and a sense of self through the items that are chosen for display.

The trundle day bed is especially popular when it comes to roommates sharing one of these small flats, most of which are no bigger than the living rooms in a typical American home. This allows for seating on the sofa bed portion during the day, which is transformed into a bed at night, as well as a second bed that can be put away during the day to clear up more floor space.

Even in larger houses, rooms are not as spacious as those in North America, so king sized furniture is not the best option. Instead, Italians are more likely to purchase queen wood beds, choosing wood because of its durability and stylistic appeal. And, in order to provide a very basic canvas upon which to build a new design or theme, many Italians will take advantage of the plainness of platform beds. This creates the opportunity to quickly wipe the slate clean and start anew without spending a fortune on new furniture with each whim.<bio>Ben Weissman writes about using Daybeds, Metal Beds and furniture from Prepac Furniture to create a beautiful bedroom at an affordable price.
