Just as the famous fashion shows in Paris, New York and Milan bring out the chic part in all of us, when we come to take about home architecture the design frenzy takes over the minds of all those who enjoy having a comfortable and fancy home. So what will the New Year bring in terms of home architecture trends? One thing is for sure: the new visions of home architecture will undoubtedly revolutionize your house and make you the fanciest house-owner on your street.

Home architecture for 2007 announces to be really extraordinary, a mélange of classy, good taste furniture design, applied to neutral and soft wall colors. The keyword for the future home architecture is, without doubt, posh. And the most important feature that you should take into account when planning your home architecture is the aspect of socializing. Top designers in home architecture stipulate that by May 2007, most home architecture enthusiasts will be out shopping for those new pieces to make their homes gorgeous.

The new trends in home architecture are designed for the sophisticated customers, those who understand that being unique will make a difference. Accordingly, home architecture specialists expect owners to cut down on patterns and improvise in order to make their homes appealing and comfortable. Whether we're talking of the wire cables sustained floating bed or the sleek stainless steel kitchen appliances, home architecture is bound to come with that polished touch we've all been dreaming about. Home architecture has to be ecologically sensitive, this way up-to-date with the community problem-solving issues, so try using natural materials for furniture and appliances.

Moreover, the futuristic ideas for home architecture include relevant solution for interior space expansion. Large spaces are the new fashion and designers have come up with knock-out suggestions on how to make your home look bigger than it is. For instance, you could think of having an open space kitchen, with an urbane shade, organized around a thick red mahogany island. This way, while cooking, you can easily socialize with the guests in the living room, without having to shout to make you heard. Home architecture trends for next year introduce a call to arms for chill-out times and spending quality time with family and friends.

The unspoken rules of 2007 home architecture request a neutral color palette to contrast with the colorful furniture items and high-tech devices. You could paint your bedroom or living room in a pale green hue or calm beige, but make sure that your bed or your couch is a strong personality color, or else you will lose the original note required by home architecture specialists. Light bathing, plenty of flowers to cheer up the place and cozy furniture to go with the futuristic technology are just a few hints at how you have your house up to the new home architecture standards, but what it really matters is that you embellish your home with originality.

Copyright © 2007 Joel Teo.
While each architectural design firm has their own unique approach to their work, it is important to find a home architect that has architectural services that fit your needs. You need to be clear on your needs and goals when you are searching for the right architectural design company for your project. This way, you'll be sure to get the architectural services that you need. Some of the main questions you need to answer when looking for a residential architect include: do you need more space? What activities will go on in the new space? What is your budget for the project and how will it be financed? Will you be doing some of the work yourself? Once you have your questions answered and you know what you need and want, you can begin the process of choosing the right architectural services for your project.

Building Your List of Architecture Firms That Do Modern Design

Now you need to start building your list of architecture firms that can do the project you need. You can start by looking at the architectural design firms in your area that specialize in modern design. If you are seeking a residential architect (rather than building an office), search specifically for residential architects. Contact your local chamber of commerce for recommendations, speak to friends and relatives, or contact the American Institute of Architects. Any of these areas are great ways to find good architectural services for your project.

Custom Homes Architects or Residential Architects?

All custom homes architects are residential architetects, but not all residential architects are custom homes architects. Some residential architects design homes for developments where none of the homes are custom -- they are all the same.

Custom home architects design one home at a time. They create a completely custom-made design -- one that is unique and has never been created before. They spend the time to get to know their clients, and their clients' desires, wishes, dreams, styles, tastes, likes and dislikes. The custom home architect wants to create a perfect fit for the client. The client's new custom home will become a true reflection of the client.

Once you have a list of potential architecture firms that you want to interview, start at the top of your list and start interviewing. You should be able to tell right away if the chemistry is right between you and the architectural design firm that you are interviewing. This means that they should be able to answer all of your questions about modern home design, such as: luxury home plans, green design, minimalist architecture, and even postmodern architecture. If they cannot answer your questions to a degree that makes you feel comfortable with their architectural services, then they are not the architecture firm for you.

In this process, you will meet a custom home architect with whom you will "click" - a person whom you can trust. He or she will not only design the home of your dreams in seamless fashion, but this is a person with whom you will enjoy working with, as you undertake this exciting and fulfilling journey -- the custom design of your unique dwelling!<bio>This informational article is provided to you by one of the most highly-regarded architecture firms in Asheville, NC: Carlton Architecture.
Doll houses, whether toys for children or collectible items for adults, come in any architectural style imaginable. From the logical geometric designs of classical and neoclassical architecture to the sometimes confusing subtlety of modern design, miniature houses run the gamut. But what is it about Victorian architecture that is so attractive to doll house collectors? Of all the different architectural styles, the Victorian style is by far the most popular.

One of the elements of Victorian design that is of great interest to miniature enthusiasts is the incredibly elaborate, purely ornate character of Victorian architecture. Featuring lofty, gothic spires, enormous wrap around balconies and porches, and majestic double swinging doorways, this type of house provides ample opportunities to indulge in the little details that miniaturists love. In fact, the more nooks and crannys there are, the more most miniaturists love it. Not only is a Victorian dollhouse an enjoyable challenge to their building skills, but an opportunity to create a truly spectacular showpiece.

As is the case with almost any style of art or architecture, there are historical reasons for the elaborate nature of Victorian design. The austerity and neoclassicism of British architecture in the years leading up to the reign of Queen Victoria gave way to more spectacular designs during the Victorian era. Fortunately for the more ambitious designers of the era, the industrial revolution was in full swing at that point, and it became possible to mass produce the style elements needed to create the Victorian look and feel. Another factor in the development of Victorian architecture was the advent of the locomotive. This allowed construction materials to be shipped long distances which enabled those in remote areas to build ever more ornate homes.

Victorian dollhouses are so charming because, like the full-size houses built in the same style, they have a personality. The romance and elegance of a bygone era can be captured once again in a tiny world. There is a very profound magical quality to Victorian architecture that reminds one of faeries, enchanted gardens, and secret passageways Every Victorian dollhouse has its own character, which the owner can then embelish with colors, furnishings and decorations that add their personal touch to the finished product.

Surprisingly enough, doll houses in the Victorian era were used more for instruction than play. Victorian dollhouses served as teaching aids to show young ladies the proper way to behave and how to care for a home. Indeed, some Victorian doll houses were large enough to let the child stand inside and learn how to perform the domestic duties that would some day be expected of her. <bio>Come visit The Magical Dollhouse at http://www.themagicaldollhouse.com/dollhouse-kits.html and see some of the most popular Victorian Dollhouses available today.

</bio>

In the past this may have been a difficult task to achieve, but with the advent of the internet anybody can find home building plans in no time at all. There are hundreds of websites that offer home building plans to anybody that is interested in them.

1. Home Building Plan Search

Thousands of home building plans that can be searched in a number of different ways on most sites. Another main advantage is that most sites are free. The learning curve about how to use the sites are generally also very good.

2. Floor Plans

The floor plan you choose should accommodate to your needs. If you work at home, you might want to incorporate an office area into your floor plan. If you have children, you might need a three bedroom home instead of a one bedroom home. Or you might decide to buy a three bedroom home and use the extra rooms for storage, a sewing room, or other uses and have the option of converting them into childrens rooms later.

3.
It's great to have souvenirs to remember places in which you travel, and traveling to Barcelona is no different. It's a good idea to have your camera ready and not be inhibited to be snap shot happy while your there. A great way to remember you trip is to make an album, this way your memories will be at your fingertips. A great way to organize your trip so that you can keep better track of it all in your photo is to get yourself a good complete map that will be specific about all of the museums, galleries of art, neighboring cities, as well as parks within the region so that you can plan ahead and directly visit each place this way wasting no time while you're there trying to figure out what you're going to do.

One thing to think about is the weather, and in Spain this could mean extreme heat or even a tad bit of rain that could put a damper on the day.

Who doesn't take pictures while on vacation? We want pictures of family and friends and we want to capture the flavor of the landscape we are in. Some are interested in the architecture; some are interested in the flora and fauna. Whatever you're interested in you can organize your pictures to really communicate what it was you were seeing at the time.

A good way to organize your pictures is to categorize them. If you take a look at pictures of past vacations you'll see an album of everything you saw on that trip. While that is ok, you may find that when someone is looking at them that you are sitting there explaining every picture. After all, you want others to experience some of the flavor and excitement you experienced on your trip.

This is where some good organization comes in. It takes a bit of time but is well worth the effort.

When you have your pictures back, separate them into categories such as, all your pictures of gardens and flowers, pictures of family and friends or your favorite sunsets or interesting architecture you took. Buy albums that suit the categories they are in.

Make a little caption and date of each picture and insert into the correct album. Doing it this way makes it easier to look at and becomes self explanatory. Whether you have visited a particular place or several places, categories with captions make it a lot easier.

(How many times have you looked at photographs of past vacations and wondered for a second where this picture was taken?)

Here is an example of a fascinating category;

My husband used to work for a phone company that installed phones in jails. He took a picture of every jail up and down the east coast. This made for some of the most fascinating albums we have. The architecture of some of these buildings was spectacular ranging from very modern to castle like in nature. It never fails to create interest and conversation and it's all in the same album, there is no question about what kind of buildings they are.

Whether you are a seasoned traveler or not and love sunrises and sunsets, you can create an album just for that. Labels and dates complete the picture.

The beauty of theme albums is you can continue to add to them over the years. They are beautiful and easily understood by all.

There are so many categories you can think of. The only limit is your imagination.

Theme albums are very organized and easily understood and are great conversation pieces! Give it a try! <bio>Willie is a researcher/freelance writer and artist. Visit our site at http://www.peakephotography.com </bio>

There is so much to in Malaga. With so much historical significance that has occurred in this city there is much to be explored and learned. Many of what has occurred is preserved in the ruins that are located throughout the city, from when it was founded by the Phoenicians to when it was ruled by the Moors.

With a wide selection of churches and palaces to visit there is much to be enjoyed on your visit. Some of these churches are even located in palaces as well as the Moorish and Roman architecture that can be observed in various areas.

Areas Of Sightseeing In Malaga

One area to look at is the Cathedral in Malaga. There is much to see with its two chapels and stalls. It was built by the Catholics and finished in the mid 1700's with much of its architecture being visible from the later time period.

La Inglesia del Sagrario is another church one may want to visit that was finished in 1448 on the site of a mosque and contains many different sculptures to enjoy on your visit.

Santuario de la Virgen is another beautiful old church which contains the tombs of the counts of Buena Vista. It is very elaborate and yet another wonderful sight to visit.

There are also quite a few museums that can be visited while yopu are in the city. These are the museum of Popular Art and Culture as well as the Museum of Art.

Attractions In Malaga, Spain

The King's palace is known as Alcazaba. It has many wonderful works a swell as items to take in and observe while you are on your visit and enjoying your trip.

The Castillo de Gibralfaro is another item located near the palace. It was constructed by the Phoenicians and contains much architecture and things to see.

Throughout the summer there are many different music festivals that occur throughout the city. There is much for almost anyone to enjoy and take in while they are in town.

There is much music that can be enjoyed including Flamenco music. Mush of this can be enjoyed in the nightlife section with the many different clubs and bars. Many of these are near the beaches especially on the Costa del Sol. There is much to enjoy and many different clubs and varieties of nightlife to enjoy.

There is much cuisine to enjoy, primarily of the Mediterranean style. There is quite a wide variety of other foods to enjoy as well. <bio>Concentrating recent findings in Spain, Jack Blacksmith published essentially for http://www.alicante-spain.com . Writing for detailed writings (e.g. http://www.alicante-spain.com/costa-del-sol/malaga.html on Malaga ) he showed his knowledge in the area. </bio>

If you are planning your cheap holidays to Toledo, Spain, you will find that there are many things to see and do. One of the most incredible attractions to see is Alcazar, which is at the highest point in the city. The Alcazar is a military museum and was used during the Civil War as a fortress. The beautiful Cathedral is necessary to see, it has beautiful architecture as well as the Iglesia de Santo Tome. These two places are something you have never seen before anywhere. Toledo is amazing to see, it was once said that the city has nothing to offer the tourist, but with all the things to see, you will enjoy a visit.

If you would like to see a beautiful view of the river gorge, Museo de Victorio Macho is a great place to visit. A few places are enjoyable for dining and drinking. The Pastucci is a great place to find the best pizza and pasta. The owner is an award-winning chef. The Italian cuisine served here is fantastic. Another popular Italian place to dine is Mille Grazie. They have good pizzas if you want to compare the two places. For a great nightlife scene, Picaro is a great place to have a few drinks and enjoy the customs. Made in an old church with the best dancing music around the city is Circulo de Arte. If you want a simple tap beer and a fun night, O'Brian's is a place to stop for a nightcap.

Cheap holidays to Toledo, Spain are going to keep you busy.
As a high school history teacher, I have had the privilege of bringing my senior students on tours of Europe for the past fifteen years. I never imagined that I would get so many opportunities to travel when I went into the teaching profession, but I ended up working in a great district that made room in their budget for the senior class to travel to Europe and help make history come alive for them each year. I am so blessed to be a part of a district that is so committed to giving their students real life experiences. I have learned many things during my years of leading this trips, but one of the first things I learned was that you cannot go to Europe and return home with a clean conscience unless you have taken time to visit one or many cathedrals.

Europe is so full of history, architecture and sheer beauty that there is obviously too much to do in a ten day tour. Since I get to lead this trips each year, I have gotten to see almost all of the wonders of Europe, but I must plan carefully each year to see that my students get the most out of their ten day experience. I am careful to combine adequate amounts of history, modern attractions, and time for fun on our trips. But any of my students will be quick to tell you that whether we are visiting Ireland or Italy, I will never lead a ten day trip without making my team experience at least one or two cathedrals

I am not sure what attracts me to cathedrals so much except their sheer beauty. I have looked far and wide in the U.S. and have never seen any building that compares with the detailed intricacies that most European cathedrals hold. I guess because our buildings are not nearly as old as those in Europe we have a far lower standard of what is beautiful and of what is true architecture. I love dragging my students into cathedrals and seeing their jaws drop as their realize just how much history has happened in these European countries and as they see how young America truly is.

So, the next time you plan a trip to Europe for any reason, make sure that your trip includes time visiting cathedrals. You will be amazed by their size, their beauty and their architecture, not to mention the amazing amounts of history that have happened in each cathedral. I guarentee you'll be looking for more cathedrals to visit once you begin. <bio>Belina Storrey loves taking her history students on short tours of Europe. She loves including visits to cathedrals most of all. See http://www.finecathedrals.info for more on these beautiful buildings. </bio>

A vibrant city in Somerset, south west England, Bath is an idyllic place, steeped in history. A visit to the City is always recommended if staying anywhere in the Somerset county and it's not difficult to see why.

Famous for its natural hot springs, they were taken advantage of in the Roman period, when baths were built over these springs, providing naturally created hot water and bathing areas, often used for social meetings. Becoming increasing popular once again throughout the Georgian era, people visited from distances as the City grew in popularity as a famous spa resort.

For those interested in architecture, Bath is a must visit destination. The Georgian architecture is still visible today, with many companies revolving their businesses in and around the beautiful buildings. For example, a large percentage of the 80 Bath hotels and bed and breakfasts are housed within Georgian buildings, making for an extremely unusual and individual place to lay your head at night. Furthermore, whilst the Georgian period is extremely prominent in the City of Bath, all major periods throughout the past 1700 years can be seen in the City. From the original Roman baths built in the early hundred years AD to the most recent Thermae Bath Spa, built after the last millennium, architecture of the years is in abundance here, and appears beautiful together.

A World Heritage Site for over twenty years, one of Bath's main attractions is its awe inspiring Abbey. Known originally as The Abbey Church of Saint Peter, Bath, Bath Abbey is one of the most prominent examples of Gothic architecture available in the modern western world. With space for up 1,200 people, the Abbey holds a regular congregation for its frequent members, with it still being a popular place of worship to this day. A Grade 1 listed building; Bath Abbey has been restored several times, each time not detracting from its original Gothic beauty.

After visiting all of Bath's many sites, a well deserved break is needed -- and you don't have to travel far to find some great food and a refreshing drink. With around 100 restaurants that provide cuisines from all around the world, there are reputed to be the same number of bars, pubs and wine bars, making you never more than a few steps from some good food and great drink.

Whilst Bath is soaked in history, many of its visitors come for the cultural side of the City. Since the 18th Century, Bath has been a major player in England's cultural scene. Housing five separate theatres, they attract world famous companies and play-writes that come throughout the year, but more prominently at Bath's annual theatre season. With its own historic musical past, Bath caters to all genres of music, from regular Klais Organ concerts at Bath Abbey to the ever popular Bath International Music Festival; an annual event frequented my many.

Bath is a City many consider a historic venue only -- which is far from the truth. Its historic values are large, but its arts, music, food and shopping areas are becoming more and more popular year in and year out -- making Bath a place to visit whatever your interest.<bio>Open Roads offers excellent packages for Bath Hotels and a variety of other accommodations while travelling throughout the UK.</bio>

It is well known that the best way to search engine optimize a website in terms of its design is to keep it as free as of many bells and whistles as possible (including images, banners and graphics.) However once you have some excellent copy to put on the front pages of your site your job does not stop there. You should make sure your web design is going to nicely support that text as well.

First of all make sure that there is no Flash, image map bytes, java script or any other kind of multimedia on that page. The search engine spiders will read that as blank space. Second of all make sure that you include text for your image ALT tags as well as for all of your anchor tags.

Thirdly, you need to consider how your HTML code will be prioritized and arranged on the page. It is also absolutely essential that your HTML code is clean as well. It does not matter if the web page looks right. It is what is beneath it that matters most to the search engine spiders (the sloppy HTML scraps and ends of mistakes that you don't see.) If this is sloppy enough your website could end up being ignored or repressed for a long time before it actually becomes part of any page ranking.

You should also never underestimate the impact of your site's functionality and architecture on the search engines. An assessment of this is definitely known to be a part of many of the algorithms that govern page rank popularity on the major search engines like Google. If a search engine does not think your site is well put together it can simply ignore it. This means that nobody will ever see the clever search engine copy that you were trying to get the site's search engine optimized architecture to support in the first place. That, of course, would be a waste of time. <bio>Chris Angus is a SEO and website promoter.
The Georgian era is named for the reigns of four British kings George I, George II, George III and George IV, who reigned from 1714 to 1830. This article takes a look at the architectural and styling cues introduced to the British landscape during this era.

What are the differences between the Georgian era and the others, say the Edwardian or the Victorian? We will see what ideas may have been borrowed from other style houses and why it was so important to have this building and modernizing going on during this particular time.

The Georgian homes were built as a tangible tribute to the success that people were experiencing at the time. This was something they could see and feel and live in. The idea of having more than the Jones' was not something that only started a few years ago. The more financially successful they became the more elaborate the homes became.

Some of the ways that you can recognize Georgian architecture is by looking at the roof. Gables were a sign as were the single style Georgian homes that were called 'Capes' or 'Cape Cods'. Chimneys at the end or center of the home, transom lights, and ornamental columns around the front of the house were all signs that this was a Georgian architecture home.

Social classes were the ones who ruled what was considered acceptable and what was not. This was truly the birth of the social class. Georgian style homes were named after the many King Georges who were in control during this era. There also was a lot of excavating going on in the Roman and Greek temples, which provided the influence for much of the architecture of this time.

The Georgian style was considered the ultimate in sophistication for the homes of the rich English gentlemen of this time. Their country homes were the model for those who did not have money. This was their idea of what being rich must be like. American Georgian designs may not have been as sumptuous as the English versions but they were roomier than the early architecture.

Colonial homes were usually only one room. Georgian homes had a hallway with two rooms on each side and a stairway with another set of four rooms upstairs. Windows changed in style as well. The double hung design came into being about this time. Shingles were removed and decorative embellishments were their replacement.

The Georgian homes distinctive décor can be attributed to the influence of the Greek and Roman style that was adapted by the men working in the saw mills. They made decorative designed wood pieces for the homes often hanging them over the entrance door. They were also used along the roof with the appearance of holding up the corners of the home.

If you are not sure if a home meets the criteria that clearly identifies it as a Georgian architecture home, there are three basics to look for.

1) The detailing in the molding along the top of the walls is often designed to look like a row of teeth.

2) Another identifying feature is the windows. Instead of hinged windows, double-hung windows were the replacements, which not only looked better but the ease of opening and closing was improved.

3) Doorways, especially entrance, were spruced up to draw more attention to this area. The addition of columns and gables as well as covered porches or entrances were added.

You will find that the Architectural heritage of several era's is preserved in the United Kingdom. Its really enriches your enjoyment of the view when you're able to identify the different influences on the British streets as you go on your way.<bio>I work in the financial services industry in the UK, doing work for several industries including property development. house fittings Furniture shop</bio>

Very few of us actually get to live out our dream careers.

In metropolitan areas where style meets form and function in the world of architecture, Level 3 Architects earn--on average--more than $60,000 a year! Making a living that nearly doubles that of most Americans... for doing something you love? Why not?!

If becoming an architect is your passion, here are a few tips to get you on the way to becoming the professional you want to be:

Do your research. Learn everything you can about various careers in architecture to narrow your focus and see where you fit in. You can learn more by writing to the Director of Careers in Architecture Programs at The American Institute of Architects, 1735 New York Ave. NW, Washington, DC, 20006.

Practice. Set up a professional drafting table at your home and spend time using it. In case you're not pulling that 60K a year yet, we found a top of the line, adjustable drafting table for only $499 at versatables.com. You can choose the color to match your existing décor, and the company ships for free (unlike most that will charge well over $100 for shipping), making that table an even better deal.

Read up. Invest in getting a few subscriptions to good architectural trade magazines like: Architect, Architectural Record, and Architectural Digest. You'll be inspired every month when you open the mailbox and see the current issue. And you'll stay on top of what's happening in the industry.

Take Classes. There are 105 schools accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Enroll at one of them. Don't turn your nose up at the idea of taking supplemental classes at a local community college though. These classes can give you the practice you need under a guided expert, without putting you in a financial slump.

Save Money. You'll need to work as an intern-architect for very little money for almost three years before taking your ARE (the exam you need to be a licensed architect--the real deal), so get on a budget that will allow you to do this and still maintain a standard of living that doesn't include eating Ramen noodles and boxed rice every night for dinner.

There's nothing keeping you from achieving everything you want for yourself. But be smart about it. Anything worth getting takes time, discipline, and dedication. But someday, when you look out the window of a building you designed, my guess is that it will all be worth it. <bio>http://www.versatables.com/pages/draftingtablesmain.php </bio>

For a few years now AMD has dominated the performance PC market, but the latest release of Intel's new desktop chips has changed that virtually overnight. Intel's new Core 2 Duo chips do not simply outperform AMD's fastest chips; they leave them in the dust. Preliminary benchmark testing puts Intel's fastest chip, the Core 2 Extreme X6800, 17 percent faster than AMD's Athlon FX-62 on the World Bench 5. The World Bench 5 consists of a multi-tasking test encoding a file with Windows Media Encoder while browsing the net with Mozilla. Even Intel's more affordable Core 2 Duo E6700 can beat the Athlon FX-62 by 12 percent. This makes a huge difference in the microchip market where gains of 10 percent or less are more common.

Intel's Core 2 Duo line ranges from a 1.86 GHz E6300 to the 2.93 GHz Core 2 Extreme X6800. These chips are already available in Dell's XPS line of desktops, in Alienware's Area-51 and ALX series, and in ABS Ultimate computers. Many of these desktops with new chips are more affordable than you might think.

How did Intel do it? One of the major features Intel improved upon in their new chip architecture was power consumption. While the Pentium Extreme Edition was burning 135 watts, the latest Core 2 Extreme X6800 burns only 75 watts. That is a 44 percent increase in efficiency. This means the new Intel Core Duo chips run a lot cooler. For the hardcore gamers and those needing the ultimate performance, such a low base temperature allows for more stable overclocking, and ABS has proven this with the ABS Ultimate X9. The Ultimate X9 runs the Intel Core 2 Extreme chip overclocked to 3.5 GHz for even stronger performance on the World Bench 5. This decrease in core temperature also means PC manufacturers will be able to build smaller and quieter systems, using fewer fans.

Another major feature of Intel's new chip architecture is the development of multiple CPU cores. This allows the chip to be more adaptable and better able to deal with bottlenecks. A great deal of the increase in performance comes from an extra executable core. While the Pentium D had 3, the new Core 2 Duo has 4 executable cores. That extra core along with some coding have allowed the chip to read multiple sets of instructions as if they are a single set. Intel has also eliminated another major bottleneck with its huge 4 MB cache. Though most dual core chips allocate a specific amount of cache, to each core, the Core 2 Duo is able to share the entire cache across both cores. Amazingly, it is able to distribute that shared cache as needed to the core working on the more complex task. This core might use 3 MB of he cache to complete a difficult task while the other core uses the other 1 MB for a simpler, though necessary, task.

So, these developments beg the question, has Intel finally defeated AMD? It certainly looks that way for the remainder of 2006 and perhaps through 2007. AMD has a new chip architecture for the desktop due out in 2007. AMD is attempting to stay competitive with Intel with some dramatic price cuts. The FX-62 has gone down in price by over $200. They have a CPU package for multisocket PCs called andquot;Torrenzaandquot;. Torrenza will debut on servers where multi-socket configurations are already common. This will not be their answer to Intel's Core 2 Duo. AMD's next generation chip architecture is due out in 2007 and it has been called andquot;K8Landquot;. No one really knows how these and quad core chips will be able to perform. So, while AMD is still in the race for the long run, for the next 6 months to 1 year, Intel is now the unquestioned leader in high performance chips. <bio>Keith Edwards is chief technology author for 360 Enterprises Inc.
Planning a trip with someone could also mean a debate as to where you'd go for your vacation. There might be a place you've wanted to go, but never had the opportunity until now. The thing is, there still lies one obstacle; your disagreeing travel companion. You may try a few persuasive tricks that you've learned from negotiating business deals, but this could be a whole different ball game. If it's the United Kingdom that's been lingering in your thoughts, then here are a few sights and activities that could sway your travel buddy your way.

Holiday in England

A country within the United Kingdom that definitely can't be brushed aside is England. Here, you'd be able to visit the city of London where marvels of architecture simply surround you. Imagine traveling around the city with their classic double-deck bus, and seeing structures such as the British Parliament, the London Eye, Tower of London, and the Clock Tower.

You may also opt to visit Windsor Castle. It is one of the residences of the British Monarch, and it's been standing since the time of William the Conqueror. There, you'd be able to take a tour of this large castle.

Another great place that you could visit is the Roman Baths. It is located in the City of Bath, and is a great exhibit of Roman superiority in architecture and technology during their time. There you will see technology that is still in use today such as plumbing, water pipes, and heat conducting. The Romans have been known to be very conscious about cleanliness, and this is solid manifestation of it. If you are planning your U.K. holidays, then the Roman Baths simply cannot be crossed out of the list.

Holiday in Scotland

Other than bagpipes, a cool accent, and men in skirts (known as kilts), there are a lot more things that Scotland has to offer. One of the better-known festivals in the world is the Edinburgh Festival. It is one of the world's largest arts festivals, and happens during the month of August. It's actually a collection of different festivals that all happen during the month of August. You'll also find one of the residences of the British monarch in Edinburgh. Queen Elizabeth II usually spends time in Holyrood Palace at around the beginning of summer. Edinburgh is also one of Europe's financial centers.

Holiday in Northern Ireland

Although Northern Ireland has gone through much turmoil, it is still a great place of tranquility. Running through the green fields of Ireland give you that man-and-nature sort of feeling and it's an ideal atmosphere to sit back and relax. After all, a vacation is mostly about relaxation and getting rest from the constant whipping of the corporate world.

Holiday in Wales

If suave, sophisticated Victorian architecture is your thing, then a visit to Cardiff would be a very tempting place to go to. There are a number of Castles and Parks that you may go to, as well as a very lively and vibrant night life. Cardiff is also known for their affinity towards rugby, and if you are into the sports, then you'll find a lot of locals that share your interest.<bio>This article was brought to you by Springfields Army Stores, a leading supplier of camping equipment in the UK</bio>

For those seeking to travel the world and learn a little more about foreign cultures there are a host of destinations that are perfect for such activities. Along with being an exhilarating and delightful way to spend a vacation, visiting a foreign location can certainly be a learning experience. Though there are a plethora of places one can visit, there are several that are very popular and regularly attract a multiplicity of tourists.

Many individuals living in colder climates find themselves incredibly attracted to the Caribbean. The warm waters and even warmer beaches are undeniably beautiful and ideal for relaxing in the sun and working on a tan. The sandy beaches though, are merely the beginning of the attractions in the Caribbean. The many small islands that make up what is known as the Caribbean are also excellent places to experience a new culture. The architecture and the physical landscape in the area are completely different than in other parts of the world, particularly the northern parts. Along with the physical beauty and the wonderful culture in the area, the nightlife is spectacular as well. There are many places one can go to experience a thrilling night of dancing and music. Furthermore, the cost of traveling to the Caribbean is relatively cheap, adding to the appeal of traveling to the area.

Western Europe is a common tourist destination as well. The area is renowned for its many historical attractions, which serve to complement the breathtaking, unique architecture on display in such places as Paris and London. Moreover, the culture one can experience in such places is quite interesting and the fine dining available makes the place all the more attractive as a vacation spot. Europe is also known for being a relatively lenient place when compared to other places in the world and as such a great place to cut loose and have a great time. <bio>Interested in Travel?
