Never keep your fur coat or other valuable coat in a plastic bag. Your fur coat requires proper air circulation; Use a cloth bag when traveling or transporting your fur coat to and from cold storage. The smell of both moth and cedar balls often adhere to fur coats and creates horrible odors.

Proper cleaning and conditioning of your fur coat and other garments will often remove such and most other unwanted odors.

Do not sit for an extended time on your fur coat or outerwear - as this may lead to undue the crushing and premature wear.

Avoid too much use of purse straps and other shoulder straps while wearing your fur coat, and other outerwear, as this too will lead to premature wear.

If your fur coat gets wet, shake it off and let it dry naturally. Using heat will cause both fur and leather to dry out. If your fur coat gets sopping wet it needs special attention by a specialist master furrier!

Do have proper annual care including cleaning, conditioning, tightening of buttons, closures and lining and the mending of early tears - some will be invisible to you.

Conditioning is processes that replenish essential oils essential for the longevity of your fur coat.

Repair any small tears immediately. Often times delaying of repair can lead to an costly replacement of pelts.

Your fur coat and other fine outerwear will supply you years of pleasurable wear when they are professionally conditioned and stored.

Each spring you must store your fur coat in a temperature and humidity controlled vault. Keep your fur coat away from heat, home humidity and moths.

A fur coat is a wonderful thing. Enjoy it for many years with proper caretaking.

Thank you for your time! <bio>Much more information on how to take care of your Fur Coat http://www.fur-coat-e.com on this website.
Coat racks come in a variety of styles and materials, including metal and wood, but perhaps the "classiest" option is the wooden coat rack. Although perhaps a bit more expensive than the metal coat racks, they can be pieces of art in themselves. Just like any other piece of wooden furniture, they can become family heirlooms to pass down, and can add a touch of class to any room. This also goes for wall mounted wall coat racks, although perhaps traditionally, this is most thought of in terms of the freestanding coat rack. Some include extra perks, like built-in benches or mirrors. And who can deny the beauty of a piece of wooden furniture? Unlike a metal coat rack, simply staining or applying a coat of clear varnish to a wooden coat rack is all one needs to let the natural beauty shine through. This is a benefit not available in metal coat racks.

Where does one find wooden coat racks? Well, start at your furniture store, or do a search on the Google search engine online; do your homework first, and see if a local store you know of carries coat racks, or give the store a call to see if it does. Many stores like IKEA also carry them, which, of course, can also be found online. You can also try your local Home Depot, and some larger Wal-Marts also carry them.

Take care of your wooden coat rack just as you would any other piece of wooden furniture. A bit of furniture polish once in awhile will help keep it in good shape, to pass on to the next generation if you so choose.

If you're environmentally conscious, remember, too, that a wooden coat rack is made from completely renewable materials, whereas a metal coat rack is made from materials that are not easily produced and harder on the environment than the tree(s) used to produce the materials for a wooden coat rack. Additionally, given the proper care, a wooden coat rack can easily last longer than a comparable metal one, because it cannot rust. Indeed, with a little care, you can easily pass down your wooden coat rack just as you will that are more your grandmother used.

However, remember as well that if you should need to dispose of a wooden coat rack, it is entirely biodegradable. This is not true of metal coat racks. This is because although they rust, they take much longer to actually disintegrate.

So for a touch of class, go for a wooden coat rack versus a metal one. It may cost you a little bit more in the short run, but you'll have a piece of value that will last you for generations to come. <bio>Megan Cherry creates articles for http://www.pegandrail.com. </bio>

There's very little history to be found as to the origins of the coat rack and no one is quite sure who invented it, but it is widely believed that Thomas Jefferson (yes, author of the Constitution and the United States' third President, as well as the person responsible for the Louisiana Purchase) invented the first coat hanger, which the coat rack predates. (It's thought, at least, that the popular wire hanger was invented in 1903 by a Mr. Albert J. Parkhouse because there were too few coat hooks on the coat rack available for his employees' coats.) Considering that Lewis and Clark embarked upon their expedition while Mr. Jefferson was President, it is certain that the coat rack existed as a tool well before they reached the Pacific Ocean.

We don't know who invented the coat rack, but historically, it has been a very handy option, since before the turn of last century, most houses were built with limited closet space. Clothes were usually stored in trunks, and coat racks were made for use of for hanging clothes. Armoires were also often used, but were a much more ornate and heavier option than were easy to move wall model coat racks and freestanding coat racks. They were also much more expensive and took up much more space.

Because of their ease of use and versatility, coat racks are making a comeback. They are ideal for small spaces, such as the studio apartment, and are much more versatile than built-in closets. They are also a much more inexpensive option, since the logistical and financial considerations of installing closets can be many, especially in older houses that traditionally do not have them. It's a relatively simple matter to install a wall coat rack, since all you need is readily available wall space. No additional floor space is required.

Freestanding coat racks offer the option of inexpensive storage with easy mobility, and you can change locations as often as you need to. Although they take up more space than wall coat racks, they do not require that you be handy with tools. However, if you're not handy with tools but you want something that will not take up additional floor space, look for coat racks specifically designed to hang over the backs of doors. This will provide you additional storage without either having to install a wall coat rack or use a valuable floor space to utilize our freestanding coat rack. <bio>Megan Cherry is an author for http://www.pegandrail.com. </bio>

If you are looking to add a coat rack to your home and you do not like the old style of using stained wood, you should look at adding a white coat rack. It is not only functional but they are lightweight, and inexpensive.

There are two styles that can accommodate any type of living area that you have. If space is a premium in your home then you can use the wall mounted coat rack. They save you space by not using up your floor area and they can be hung on any wall that has enough room for it. If your walls are white and you want the coat rack to blend in, rather than stand out, using a white coat rack will achieve that goal. With a wall mount rack you can adjust the height according to who will be using it. For example, you may want to have two racks, one for adults and one at an appropriate height for your children.

The freestanding style of coat racks is a great decorating addition if you have the floor space available. They are also very easily moved and can be stored out of the way if you need to.

Having a white coat rack is great for a nice, sleek, contemporary look. You can achieve this look by buying a plain wood rack and painting it, or you can buy a metal coat rack. By using white, you will get a clean look that will fit into any color scheme in your home. If you really want that modern contemporary look you can use white lacquer paint, instead of your normal flat white paint. This will give you a high gloss look.

You don't usually need to spend a lot of money to add a coat rack to your home. In fact, you can find wooden coat racks in a variety of places. First start by looking in an older family member's attic, you might just find one there. Before the turn of the century, closets were unheard of in homes so coat racks were used to help keep the home organized. You can also try estate sales or your local garage sales to find an inexpensive coat rack.

Once you find an older wood coat rack, you can paint it white to match your home's d=E9cor. First you will need to sand and strip off the old stain and finish. Once you are down to the bare wood you will first want to use a good primer coat. After the primer coat has finished completely drying, lightly sand the primer coat, then you can add your paint. Because of the shape of the coat rack, it is easier to use spray paint, this way you will get a nice even coat.

Whether you decide to use a standard white paint or go completely modern and contemporary with white lacquer paint, your white coat rack will be a nice addition to your home's d=E9cor. <bio>Megan Cherry writes for http://www.pegandrail.com. </bio>

Okay, so your sister is a fan of the country look for her decor, but you're thoroughly modern. Need something to hang your clothes or coat on that's unobtrusive, inexpensive, and lightweight? Go for a white coat rack.

You can go for the wall mounted or freestanding variety, and both have advantages. Wall mounted coat racks are great for small spaces that don't have a lot of floor space. Just about any free wall space will do; additionally, if the coat rack is white and your wall is also painted white, it will blend in visually with the wall color. In addition, wall coat racks can be adjusted for the height of the user. Some coat racks are designed to be hung off the backs of doors and do not require any special tools for installation.

Freestanding coat racks are great for those with enough floor space, and additionally, they can be moved wherever you need them or stored out of the way.

White coat racks are great for a clean, simple, modern look. You can buy a wooden coat rack and paint it white, or use a metal one. Whatever material you use, though, white is a great color for a clean, simple look that will be unobtrusive and will fit in with any decor.

If you're really a fan of wooden coat racks but you don't have the funds or simply don't want to buy a new one, check out your elderly relatives' attics, estate sales, and even garage sales for one. Although popular at the turn of last century when closet space was not as prominent or accepted a storage option, coat racks took a backseat to closets and even nearly disappeared, when closets became the rage. Therefore, sometimes they can be had for very little money, but are very good quality if you find them in such places.

If you find a wooden coat rack that you would like to paint white, you can either strip it down or simply apply a court of primer and paint over it. Spray paint often offers the smoothest and best option for application versus brush painting, and you'll have no brushes to clean afterwards.

Whatever you choose, white coat racks will fit in with any decor and will give you a clean, simple look that will blend in to your surroundings. <bio>Megan Cherry is an author for http://www.pegandrail.com </bio>

What should I know about finding a coat?

When looking for a coat at Carhartt Coats, you need to ask yourself some questions. What do I need the coat for? What purpose is it to serve? What materials is it made out of? Is it washable? What size do I need? Does it come with a hood or without? These are just some of the questions that you will need to ask. Our Carhartt Coats are made to fit many different sizes from small to 3 X, so there is a good many coats that will fit most men easily. We also have the gloves and headgear that go with these jackets and coats and most connect with a simple snap system for ease of use.

What do I need to look for as far as sizing is concerned?

When looking to coat size, you should always fit a coat to your size. You can figure out your coat size by making a measurement of the fullest part of your chest. The resultant measurement should give you an idea of what size that you need to look for in a Carhartt Coats selection. This is to be done, if you have no idea of what size to wear. For other sizes, you simply would need to match one of our Carhartt Coats to your size. Usual sizes are S, M L, X-Large, 2X and 3X. Some of our lines do not carry the full range of sizes, so go up to the next size.

How do I choose the length?

The length of our Carhartt Coats is waist length, so there is no need to decide what length to choose from. Our waist fitting coats are the most popular coat that we sell. We don't sell dusters, only waist length coats. The reason why we do not sell any other length is simply put, our Carhartt Coats are work coats and another length would just be ridiculous to sell. It is easier for a coat to be waist length, especially if it is a work coat. Anything longer would get in the way and possibly cause an accident when working. That is not what anyone would want in a working coat.

How Do I Choose The Type?

Choosing a Carhartt Coats coat is up to you as far as what type you should get. Bear in mind that all of our coats can be used in the winter. It depends on what types of temperatures that you will be in and personal preference. If you want an insulated coat, then the Arctic line is your best bet. If you are working in extreme conditions, then our Carhartt Coats Extreme line is for you. These rugged coats hold up well in extreme weather. If you want an all purpose coat, then our Fleece line is the best for you. So it is dependent upon the weather and what you will be doing as far as making a coat choice from our coat line.<bio>Workwear 1 is the sponsor of this article.
Coat racks are great, lightweight, inexpensive ideas for storage, especially if you're somebody who likes to throw your clothes on the floor. However, for small spaces like studio apartments, they can take up valuable floor space needed for other things. The solution to this is the wall coat rack.

Wall coat racks are ideal for small spaces, like a studio apartment your child's room, because they provide a lot of vertical storage space without taking up additional floor space. They can also have shelving included above them to store things that can't be hung, like blankets. They are an ideal alternative to putting in extra closet space when this is an impractical idea for financial or logistical reasons, or when there simply isn't space to do so. All you need to put one in is readily accessible wall space. In some situations, one can also simply be hung on the back of the door to provide handy storage space without taking up any extra wall space.

You can also adjust the height of the wall coat rack for the person using it. For instance, wall coat racks are great way to teach small children to hang up their own coats and clothing. The wall coat rack is easier to use than a traditional closet and hangers are for little fingers, and unlike closets, no special adjustments are needed. Simply position the wall coat rack to the desired height. You will need to be relatively handy with tools to use a wall coat rack because it will need to be mounted to the wall, but this is relatively simple and instructions should be provided, or can be found by doing an Internet search.

There are almost as many choices when you're looking for a wall coat rack as there are when you're looking for a freestanding coat rack. Do you want the modern look of metal, or the classic beauty of wood? What color or theme is the decor you'll be using it with, so that you can find a coat rack that best fits into the room's design? How much space are you going to need? Is this coat rack going to be hung in the hallway so that it will get a lot of traffic, so that you'll need more hanging space? Are you going to need extra storage with it, so that you'll need shelving above the coat racks hooks, or would a mirror be handy?

Whatever the options you choose, the wall coat rack is a great way to use vertical space that would otherwise go unused, very inexpensively and easily! <bio>Megan Cherry creates articles for http://www.pegandrail.com. </bio>

Are you in the market for office furniture? Of course you will need an impressive desk, a filing cabinet and some interesting prints for the wall. Maybe you will even hire a decorator to match the rug with the upholstery on the chairs. You will be attentive to set the right mood for your office space, whether it's serious and scholarly or lighthearted and casual. All of these elements make up the perfect office décor, but there is one more area to consider.

When your clients or patients walk in the front door, they will need someplace to hang their coat or store their umbrella. Coat racks are an important and integral part of any office and should never be overlooked. The perfect coat rack is one that is unobtrusive, yet able to organize several types of items. You want the coat rack to be easily accessible, but not in the way of the room's traffic flow.

First, decide on the amount of space that you want to allocate for the coat rack. Leave the front door area as clear as possible but position the coat rack nearby. There are many sizes of coat racks; some are free standing while others mount on the walls. The decision about which type to purchase is first determined by the available space.

Another factor to consider is how many hooks you would need on the coat rack. This, of course, varies according to the size of the coat rack. Many styles arrange the coat pegs for maximum efficiency. If your office is small, choose three or four hooks. If you have too many empty hooks available, it may look like your office is slow, which may not say much about your business.

You need to also decide if you just want a place to hang up coats or if you need to accommodate more items. An umbrella stand attached to the coat rack is a plus if you feel your clientèle are people who would carry umbrellas. Perhaps you have men coming to your office who might need a place to put their hats?

Coat racks come in metal or wood and the choice will be yours as to what type of material fits in best with the rest of your office. Oftentimes, there is a certain amount of assembly associated with buying a coat rack, but this is basic and can be done quickly.

For the most part, a coat rack stands silently, ready to serve. But if children will visit your office, consider getting a coat rack that is colorful. For children, you may even want a rack with a bench for mothers to tie their little one's shoes or to pull off boots in the winter. A shelf to store mittens or scarves will also be a nice addition.

A coat rack is an important piece of office furniture and will probably be the first thing that your clients or patients will see. Choose your coat rack for its usefulness as well as for its attractiveness.<bio>Megan Cherry writes for http://www.pegandrail.com If you are looking for a high quality well made coat rack step in and check us out, we manufacture a complete line of wall mounted coat racks from a shaker peg style coat rack to a modern office coat racks with brass hooks or satin nickel for the brushed stainless steel look.</bio>

Every home has a "clutter zone". You know what I mean--those places where no matter how many times you straighten things up, there is always a look of disarray and disorganization. In many houses, the front door area accumulates a stack of coats, sweaters, umbrellas, hats, caps and shoes. If this sounds like your house, consider getting a coat rack. new 506

Coat racks collect this "clutter" and store it in a functional, yet attractive way. Besides having pegs for coats and jackets, some come with handy shelves, an umbrella stand or a place to stash shoes. Consider how neat and tidy your front door area will look if every article of clothing was hung in its own place.

Before purchasing a coat rack, take a measurement of your entryway. Coat racks come in many different sizes and shapes. You don't want to get one too large because this can limit movement coming in and out of the house. You want the coat rack to be useful, not in the way. The best kind of coat rack is one that is tucked off from the main flow of traffic, but is easily accessible to everyone.

The next thing to decide is what you want the coat rack to do. Do you just want a place to hang coats and jackets? Do you need an umbrella stand? How about a place to store shoes? Maybe you want a shelf for mittens and scarves? Only you can answer these questions because you understand the needs of your particular household. Once you start shopping, you will be pleasantly surprised to find the many ways coat racks can organize your family's outerwear.

If you have a large entryway, you may even want to consider a coat rack with a bench. This is an especially handy place to sit and put on your shoes or boots. If you have young children, you can lace up sneakers there.

Coat racks also come in many styles and colors and shapes. Select one that complements your home. Consider the coat rack to be a piece of furniture and make it fit into your décor. They are made from various materials like brass, wrought iron, wood or aluminum. Once again, you need to access your particular need for a coat rack and then choose one of the materials that is best suited for your home.

Coat racks are available in many different finishes. They can add a dash of color to your entranceway or blend into the wall. The choice is yours and you will be pleasantly surprised to find the many choices you have.

Being a place to hang jackets is only one job a coat rack can do. This item can organize your front door area and make a terrific first impression on visitors. Children can learn to hang their coats and store their dirty shoes here. A bench can be a place to put on boots or pull them off.

Coat racks take the clothing clutter out of your way--every day.<bio>Megan Cherry writes for http://www.pegandrail.com If you are looking for a high quality well made coat rack step in and check us out, we manufacture a complete line of wall mounted coat racks from a shaker peg style coat rack to a modern wood coat racks with brass hooks or satin nickel for the brushed stainless steel look we even have a very modern looking hand rub white lacquer coat racks to go along with our line of Oak, cherry and Maple wall coat racks, we can even manufacture you a custom size coat rack or even ship you a coat rack that is unfinished.</bio>

Coat rack is actually one accessory that can help you to organise your room effectively. I believe that most houses have a coat rack at the room entrance to hang hats, coats, gloves or shoes during the day. Choosing a suitable coat rack will help you to utilize room space and clutter more effective and easier to use. In case if you have very small room entrance and have not enough space to put any king of closet, so you may need wall mounted coat rack. But however, you can still use closet with coat rack as there are still many different styles that combine shelf space, storage, and pegs for hanging coats, and by mounting a combination coat rack to the wall, you can most utilize those space for maximum use.

The other benefit of use coat rack is you can organise every part of your house effectively, especially, foyer, or mud room and is a virtually essential organizing accessory in households with children There are many type of coat rack available that you can choose, from standing tree or wall mounted coat rack. In order for you to make maximum use of your room space, buy a coat rack that well for overall use in different type of room so it will be very flexible and convenient and save cost.

Choosing the suitable coat rack for your room will help to get more space, so you have to make sure that you also spare extra space for your shoes and other items. In case if you have children, you may have to choose type of coat rack that has hooks for hanging schho bags or book bags and also, avoid freestanding coat trees that can tip easily, and remember to hang wall-mounted coat racks where children can reach them.

If you have larger room or foyer so this is more convenient to add more style of coat rack and you will have more options to choose. But for some people who have very limited space might have to choose consider a hall tree. A hall tree is a piece of furniture that includes a bench, usually with a flip-up seat for additional storage inside, a mirror for last minute appearance checks, and several racks for coats. There are some different hall tree style, some type has built-in umbrella stand to keep your umbrella after use or some kind has built-in shoes holder. The hall tree is the type that most versatile type of coat rack, not only allowing for organized storage, but also providing a practical place to put on shoes or perform other last minute dressing.

There is an other type pf coat rack called an over-the-door coat rack. It is a kind of wall mounted one but it is usually fixed behind the door. It is very easy to install and generally people fixed it just the top of the door. Yu have to make sure that you mounted the coat rack by screw for more secure. This is another kind that are quite flexible as you can add hanging hooks, which facing out for convenient use in the fall and winter and facing in to store coats out of sight in the spring and summer. <bio>http://www.home-rack.com/ http://www.home-carpet-reviews.com/ </bio>

When buying a coat rack, think outside of the box! Coat racks are not the kind you may remember from your elementary school days. You know the kind I mean--an ugly array of hooks that gave the room a dormitory appearance.

Coat racks have evolved and are now considered to be a beautiful and very useful piece of furniture for a home or office. Yes, that's right--coat racks are to be considered a piece of furniture. And like any other furniture purchase, you need to make several decisions.

The first consideration is the amount of space you have to use. A coat rack should be positioned as near the entranceway as possible, without being in the way of the flow of traffic. Would you like the coat rack to be attached to a wall near the door? Measure the wall first. Perhaps you want a more compact coat rack. Some are freestanding with a good number of hooks to accommodate your guests.

Coat racks aren't only for hanging up coats or jackets. You may need an umbrella stand, which is very convenient to have. This saves the mess a dripping umbrella can cause as it's carried through the house. Maybe you want a shelf for mittens or bookbags. Think about what you need when you walk through the front door. A place to stash a package or a shelf to put your purse might come in handy.

If your entranceway is large enough, a coat rack with a bench would be ideal. How wonderful it will be to keep your shoes or boots there, and then sit on the bench to tie them or put them on. For younger children this is especially terrific; you won't have to worry about muddy shoes or snow covered boots traveling through the house. Your little ones can sit on the bench to remove their boots and then store them in the appropriate area.

You can also choose whether your coat rack will blend into your entranceway or make a statement. Coat racks come in a variety of materials, from metal to plastic to wood. They can be stained to match your woodwork or painted to accent the colors in your room. They can say "fun" in bright colors, or they can say "elegant" with brass accents.

Perhaps the best thing about a coat rack is its ability to organize several types of items. Shelves or cubicles are the perfect places to put mittens or scarves. In fact, during the winter months, when their items are being used, the coat rack keeps them safe and handy. You won't have to search the entire house of a mitten that was lost.

But in the summer, the coat rack can also be a place of storage for seasonal items of clothing. Once again, the amount of space you can devote to a coat rack and your particular needs as a household will determine what type of storage area will be best.

Coat racks can be a useful addition to every home. The many varieties and individual places of storage can be chosen based on your household's particular needs. You won't have to throw coats on the bed when guests come over and your children and their friends will have a central location for their shoes and jackets.<bio>Megan Cherry writes for http://www.pegandrail.com If you are looking for a high quality well made coat rack step in and check us out, we manufacture a complete line of wall mounted coat racks from a shaker peg style coat rack to a modern wall coat rack with brass hooks or satin nickel for the brushed stainless steel look we even have a very modern looking hand rub white lacquer coat racks.</bio>

If you need to save space, go with wall mounted coat racks

Do you live in a small space like a studio apartment that doesn't have enough closet space for your coats and your clothing? Do you want an easy to access place in your child's room for him or her to hang clothes up, but find that the room is too small for a freestanding coat rack? Then the answer may be a wall mounted coat rack.

Wall mounted coat racks take up no floor space, which make them ideal for small spaces like studio apartments or a bedroom, but they can go in any abode, even a large house. They are easy to install, usually requiring just a few tools, including electric screwdriver or drill and regular screwdriver, and may also include shelving that you can store flat items such as betting on top of in addition. They are a much less expensive option than installing an extra a closet for extra storage space, and require no extra floor space, unlike a freestanding coat rack or closet installation. The simplest models require no tools or installation at all, and simply hang over a door. They come in both metal and wood and can fit in with any decor.

To start your search for one, as well as to do price comparisons, simply go to the search engine Google on the Internet and type in "wall mounted coat racks." This will provide with a variety of options and will allow you to compare costs of various models, as well as to find handy instructions for installation.

Wall mounted coat racks can be hung at just about any height, and are fairly easy to adjust upward, so they can be raised in height to adjust for a child as he or she grows, for instance. Wall mounted coat racks can also go in any space that's wide enough for the coat rack that you want to use and that has stud support. For instance, a small wall mounted coat rack is perfect for above a child's desk, because it has hooks from which to hang often used but easily lost tools like scissors. Additionally, you can buy coat racks with shelving, so that the shelf above can be used as a bookshelf, or for extra school supplies storage, for instance. Larger coat racks can be used to substitute for extra closet space, to help your child keep his or her room tidy, and/or to provide shelving for extra betting. In a hallway that gets high traffic and is close to the front door, hang a coat rack for guests who come in to instantly hang their coats up. No fumbling for hangers, or for coats once a visit is over. <bio>Megan Cherry writes for http://www.pegandrail.com </bio>

Do you know someone who is always dropping his or her clothes on the floor instead of taking the time and trouble to hang them up (or do you have a teenager who does so)?

Have you worn something once that's not dirty enough to throw in the laundry but not clean enough to tuck back into drawers or closets with clean clothes?

Do you know someone who lacks the closet space to hang family coats or other clothing up, even though he or she could really use some?

Do you know someone who lacks the funds or space to put extra closets in his or her existing house?

And what about Christmas gifts? Are you on a tight budget?

Are you unsure what to get the "guy who has everything"?

Well, the great solution for all of these things is a coat rack. Coat hooks are inexpensive, lightweight, space-saving solutions for all of these problems and more. And unlike closets or even heavy wardrobes, you can move them wherever you need them without breaking a sweat. Or, use a wall coat rack (or hang one off the back of a door) when floor space is at a minimum.

In addition, coat racks come in just about every color or design under the sun and are available in metal or wood, so you can get one to fit any decor, from modern to classic. They even come in special designs for children, such as the Spiderman coat rack. What a great way to get your little guy to hang up his clothes at night before he goes to bed. Simply do an online search with whatever keywords fit your description, such as "Spiderman coat rack," and see what you come up with. Do you know somebody who just never seems to have enough storage space? A coat rack with attached shelving is a great way to give that person an extra "closet" without the mess or expense installing one takes, and unlike closets, doesn't require extra room; simply and easily accessible wall will do. Do you know someone who just never seems to be able to get themselves ready on time in the morning? Then maybe a coat rack with built-in mirror, complete with bench so he or she can sit down and put on shoes, is a nice option. They can use it to simply hang out their clothes the night before, so there's no rummaging around in the closet in the morning, and cut down on the time it takes to get ready. The built-in mirror provides a way for them to do a final check on hair, makeup, and lipstick, for example, without having to dash to the bathroom.

Given the versatility of the coat rack, you'll be surprised how many relatives and friends just might need one, and given that, you'll be amazed at how quickly your Christmas shopping gets done! <bio>Megan Cherry writes exclusively for http://www.pegandrail.com. </bio>

Does opening your garage cause you to tremble? Does it take you an hour to find a rake? Do you wish you could reclaim that garage space and maybe even get to park the car in there overnight?

Don't despair--there are simple ways to clean up and organize your garage. Roll up your sleeves and dedicate at least an entire weekend to this project. You'll be glad that you did. Once the garage space is organized, you will be better able to maintain it and get the most use out of it.

There are really only two steps to reclaiming your garage: cleaning out the clutter and organizing the useful things. For the clean up part, you need to sift through every item in the garage and put it into one of three piles: save, give away or throw away. This step of the process may take the longest, but once you decide what things are truly important to you, there will be a strong motivation to have access to these items.

For the organizing part of this task, you may need to buy shelving, a coat rack or some cubicle-style containers. Once you have decided on what to keep, you will then put those things in their appropriate areas. The shelves and the cubicles can store an assortment of items, from gardening tools to seed packets to bicycle tire rims.

A coat rack is also an interesting and often overlooked item in garage organization. Coat racks are very versatile and do a lot more than hang up coats and jackets. Many come with storage space that can be very useful in the garage. Your garden gloves and shoes can be stored there. If you choose a coat rack with a bench, that becomes an ideal place to take off your muddy shoes before going into the house.

Of course, the pegs on the coat rack can be used to hang up your coat. Perhaps you have a yard jacket, one that you use when you putter around in the garden or rake leaves. Hang it in the garage so you will have it ready for the next time you need it. Winter boots or gloves and hats can be kept here as well.

Some people use their garages as an art studio. If you dabble in oil painting, the coat rack can hold your smock and other supplies. If you like to take on some woodworking projects, put your safety goggles and gloves on the coat rack so you will never have to search for them again.

Depending on the space you have, coat racks can be freestanding or wall mounted. Either way, they are a very useful addition to your garage space and will help you keep things organized. Coat racks are made from a variety of materials, from metal to wood so you have many choices to consider.

Coat racks can help you gain control of your garage space by storing important items and making them more accessible to you. So, the next time you open that garage door, you won't hold your breath in fear; instead, you will smile at how nicely organized everything looks.<bio>Megan Cherry writes for http://www.pegandrail.com If you are looking for a high quality well made coat rack step in and check us out, we manufacture a complete line of wall mounted coat racks from a shaker peg style coat rack to a modern wood coat racks with brass hooks or satin nickel for the brushed stainless steel look we even have a very modern looking hand rub white lacquer coat racks to go along with our line of Oak, cherry and Maple wall coat racks, we can even manufacture you a custom size coat rack or even ship you a coat rack that is unfinished.</bio>

The Shih Tzu's coat for the show rings requires extra care. Some show people actually keep their Shih Tzu confined and caged to preserve the coat, or they wrap the coat or oil it. Those who do keep their show Shih Tzu confined and caged pay a price in loss of muscle tone in their dogs. Not all show people practice these methods for preserving their Shih Tzu's long show dog coats. It is also a myth that all show people do not allow their show Shih Tzu to go for long walks, to play and just in general to lead a normal life. For those who do allow their show Shih Tzu do lead a normal life keeping the coat glamorous requires a lot of extra effort, and much more grooming than for the pet Shih Tzu.

Coconut oil is considered helpful as a means of preserving the coat of a show dog Shih Tzu. If you do oil the show dog Shih Tzu coat you must remove the oil completely before each show. If you do not remove all the oil the coat appear limp and feel wrong. It can also be uncomfortable to be around a Shih Tzu that has been oiled. There are good oils on the market, however, that do not have this effect on the coat and it may be worth trying them if the Shih Tzu's coat seems to need it. Wrapping the coat in tissue paper protects the Shih Tzu's coat, but you lose some of the pleasure of seeing your dog in full coat with his hair flowing as he moves. I do think this is a beautiful, beautiful sight of the show dog Shih Tzu. The tissue wrapping sort of reminds me of the days when women ran around the house for house with their hair in curlers.

Probably the best thing to do if you are just starting out taking care of your Shih Tzu show dog's coat is to experiment with different methods of preserving the coat until you find what works best for your dog. Much the same type of procedures a pet owner must go through, although a lot more intense and time consuming as the Shih Tzu show do requires so much more in the way of grooming.

One thing is for certain if you start out with "bad hair" it is virtually impossible to make it good enough for the show ring. When purchasing your show potential Shih Tzu it is wise to study the lines to find out which have good hair in their genes. This way you can just continue to keep it looking good.

The topknot and whiskers also need very special attention on the show dog Shih Tzu. The white whiskers on a parti-coloured Shih Tzu must be really, really white to look good. It seems this is especially true for the black and white Shih Tzu.

Some older methods of keeping the whiskers white was to wash them at least once a day with a solution of boracic powder, a teaspoon to a pint of water. This mixture is wiped into the whiskers, being careful to get none in the eyes and then rinsed away. One of the keys to keeping whiskers white is above all to dry them immediately and keep them dry. An older method of drying them was to work in some fuller's earth or talcum powder, brushing this out and repeating until the hair was absolutely dry. If you allow the Shih Tzu to dry his own whiskers he will rub and rub until dry doing nothing but harm to the length of the coat. Another problem you run into with all this washing is that the hair becomes dry and brittle. You will need to dress the whiskers with a little coat conditioner from time to time.

A method of preserving the hair of the topknot is to use several bands along the length of the hair to hold it to the back of the head. You can also plait the hair to achieve the same purpose. Use neither of these methods just before a show as both methods will cause kinks in the coat of which you do not want.

It is always wise to review the rules of the American Kennel Club about the use of oils and conditioners on the coat of a show dog. Any substance used to alter the natural color, texture or body of the coat is usually prohibited. <bio>Author: Connie Limon. I raise Shih Tzu Puppies for Sale.
Proper coat texture of your show dog Shih Tzu will be checked during the show dog judge's examination. Proper coat texture of a show dog Shih Tzu should be lustrous. A lustrous Shih Tzu show dog coat is achieved by good nutrition, and high quality grooming aids. Good coats are also passed down through lines of selectively breeding Shih Tzu with good coats. With the improvement in dog nutrition and grooming aids today, however, there is really no excuse for a show dog Shih Tzu not to have a proper coat texture. If you start with inherited proper coat texture and provide your Shih Tzu with high quality nutrition, the coat can further be enhanced by high quality grooming aids to present the ultimate in beauty by the time your Shih Tzu enters the show ring. One word of warning, however, be sure not to enter the ring with evidence of powder or chalk, or too much spray, you will likely put yourself out of the ring.

When the show dog judge is finished going over the Shih Tzu completely he might step away from the Shih Tzu and give it a final over-all side view look. This side view look helps a Shih Tzu show dog judge keep a complete picture in his mind that he will compare with the next Shih Tzu that is put up on the table.

If you are handling your Shih Tzu yourself this last look is highly important. You should remember to keep your Shih Tzu on its toes. The last thing you want is for the judge to take that last look and find your Shih Tzu sitting or in some other forbidden activity. Do not be constantly putting each single hair in place or placing your Shih Tzu's feet in the right position. This would be seen as over-handling. If your Shih Tzu is not able to stand on its own, look alive and ready for the next command he is not trained and ready for the show ring. Training is done outside of the ring. Performance is required at the show.

This article is FREE to publish with resource box. <bio>Connie Limon is a Shih Tzu breeder.
Grooming your dog is very important to his hygiene. Grooming your dog involves bathing, combing, drying, and cutting the coat. Proper drying is an important to make sure the coat looks its best. Even with a good haircut, the coat can still look messy if not properly dried.

There are a couple different ways that are used to dry the dogs coat. The most popular way for at home grooming is the towel dry. The towel dry is very easy to achieve. This is also the most practical way to dry at home. To towel dry just use a towel to briskly dry the dogs coat. This method is used with short haired dogs.

If you have a long haired dog, or show dog other methods should be considered. The next method used is the cage dry. This takes slightly more time, and equipment. To cage dry the dog is place in a cage with a cage fan. This fan or drier is clipped onto the cage, and blows into the cage to dry the coat. When doing this a towel needs to be placed in the bottom of the cage. If your dog is too big for a cage a table can be used instead. The only problem may be keeping the dog on the table. A leash to keep the dog on the table may be needed. Keeping an eye on the dog to make sure they still don't try to get off the table and get hurt is also a good idea.

Another method that is most often used at a grooming center is the fluff dry method. This method is used for long haired dogs. This method takes time and patience. Show dogs are very popular breeds to have this drying method used. Most often the hair is not only dried, but straightened as well.

To fluff dry a high speed floor dryer is used. The dryer is pointed at small sections at a time. The purpose of the small sections is so that each area can be thoroughly dried and straightened. The warm air dries the hair as the groomer, whoever it may be, uses a brush to brush the hair upward. This upward stroke with the brush will fluff and straighten the coat. Once one section is completely dried and straightened the dryer is moved to the next section, and the same process is repeated. This method takes time to learn the special technique.

The breed of dog you have will have a big effect on which dry method you can use. If you have a dog that needs the fluff dry method a dog groomer is usually the best bet, as not all these methods can be used at home and still have a good looking coat. <bio>For more important articles by Kelly Perry visit http://www.dogtwist.com/liability-for-dog-owners.html and http://www.dogtwist.com/when-your-dog-has-fighting-problem.html </bio>

If you work or in a colder climate where temperatures drop below freezing, you will want to choose a coat that provides ample insulation yet allows for high mobility so you can execute your job with ease. A company such as Carhartt Outerwear focuses on the frigid workplace to help you stay comfy yet flexible.

Functionality

When choosing a coat for cold weather work you want to make sure it is functional. For example, does it have a hood that can be removed or added like a Carhartt Outerwear coat?

By being able to remove the hood this will prevent the danger of it getting caught in machinery while it is hanging loose on your back. And, if you ears are getting too cold it can be put back on to prevent frostbite.

Fabric

You want to choose a coat that will last and stay strong even on the toughest jobs. Canvass is the material of choice. It is flexible allowing plenty of movement yet durable. This material can take a lot of abuse before it starts to show wear. Carhartt Outerwear coats are made of this tough hardy material. The fabric lining the coats is also important. Fleece is always a good choice as it is very soft, warm and does not irritate the skin like wool or a rougher fabric. For colder weather you want to look for a quilted, polyester lined coat. Both these options are available in the Carhartt Outerwear line.

Water Resistance

If you work in an area with a lot of snow fall or a place that is constantly damp then a waterproof coat is a must have. You want a coat with an outer Nylon shell to repel the water. At, the same time you want a warm inner quilted lining so the chill will not be felt. Carhartt Outerwear provides a coat that will suit both those needs. You will stay dry and warm.

Utility

A coat that makes the job a little easier is a definite bonus. Pockets are the answer. However you want pocket on the inside of your coat to hold items you wish to keep safe, dry and secure such as a wallet, cell phone, or important paperwork you will need on the job. Plenty of outer pocket space is a great help too. This is especially true for all those jobs involving the use of a lot of tools. Carhartt Outerwear coats have all the storage space you could want on the job.

By looking for a coat that is functional and allows for ease of movement, you will find the job easier to perform and faster to complete. On rough jobs a canvass coat will last longest. If the job is damp and cold then the waterproof variety of work coat is a must. And for those jobs that involve a lot of tools or accessories storage in the form of inner and outer pockets is a great help. Look to Carhartt Outerwear for your frigid workplace needs.<bio>WorkWear1.com offers a great selection of Carhartt Outerwear in addition to a wide variety of Carhartt Clothing and many other Carhartt Outerwear items.</bio>
