There are many reasons for body odor i.e. bad personal hygiene, germs, or simple bad genes. There can also be a skin disorder that is causing your body to give out a strong odor. Many people consider only fat people suffer from this disorder, it is true that a fair majority of people that suffer from body odor are over weight. But being overweight doesn't not warrant your odor there are many other factors that influence body odor. Fortunately there are many products on the market that can suppress your body odor. In this article we will discuss the action you can take to prevent body odor.

Nothing makes a first impression like your scent-that is, if it's a bad one. Let's face it, a bad smell makes more of an impression than a good one, so keeping perspiration and body odor under control is essential to feeling good and confident about yourself. So don't sweat it- arm yourself with deodorant and body spray that will keep you looking, smelling, and feeling fresh, in any weather.

It isn't all your sweat's fault. Your body's natural perspiration itself doesn't have much of a scent at all until bacteria get to it, and throw a stinky party in your underarms. Most deodorants aren't just a scent that you put over the sweat to cover the smell- deodorants actually contain small amounts of alcohol and other ingredients that kill off these funky bacteria.

Some all-natural deodorants use combinations of different natural products, such as a variety of different herbs, to both combat the growth of bacteria as well as provide a pleasant, natural scent. However, if you perspire heavily, these deodorants just might not have the oomph necessary to keep you dry and fresh.

For one, they probably don't have any antiperspirants in them, so even if they're keeping you smelling good, they aren't doing anything to help ward of unsightly and embarrassing pit-stains. Most commercial deodorants combine bacteria-fighting ingredients with an antiperspirant to help slow down your sweat glands. This makes an inhospitable environment for the bacteria, and it helps to keep you dry. So if you're using all-natural deodorants and they just aren't doing the trick, it might be time to switch to something a little heavier.

In addition to these ingredients, most deodorants come with a fragrance. From powdery to sporty, there is no end to your options in this area, so don't just limit yourself to whichever kind of deodorant you're using, just because it's the first one you picked up. If you aren't nuts about your current fragrance, shop around- there's one for everyone out there. And if you have dry or sensitive underarm skin, there are many brands that carry moisturizing, gentle alternatives.

There's no reason to use a deodorant that leaves your skin feeling rashy or sensitive. A recent surge in the popularity of body sprays has made a lot of new options available, so if you're sick of the spread-on stick, you might consider a spray. They perform basically all the same functions, and come available in a variety of scents. For those with a scent sensitivity, though, it can be harder to find odorless odor protection-you might be stuck with the stick. But at least you won't be stinky!

The key is to find a solution that works for you, and does not cause any skin issues. If you have sensitive skin a good body spray will do, however consult a doctor if you have a special skin condition. Many of these products contain chemicals that can aggravate your situation, so be careful and stay cool!<bio>Debrah Dragon Debrah Dragon is a writer for Beauty Items, a website about everything beauty-related - hair salons, beauty tips, etc. Debrah is also a featured author at www.ArticleKing.com</bio>

If you're looking for a good alternative that is also natural, to replace your normal deodorants, you might want to take a look at a crystal deodorant rock. These all-natural deodorants are perfect for the person who wants to combat sweat caused odor.

First of all, you might want to get rid of the number one misconception regarding sweat and sweat induced odor. Yes, in a very broad sense sweat is the reason for you to get that nasty odor, but sweat is not the cause behind the odor.

It merely presents bacteria living on your body, the reason to thrive in these sweaty and damp conditions. In turn, it is these bacteria, or rather the waste product from these bacteria which causes you to gain a foul smelling odor when you sweat.

And this is where crystal deodorant rocks work to help you. Unlike antiperspirants which tries to control your sweating by clogging your pores, and unlike normal deodorants which only cover up any odor which might occur, the crystal deodorant rock works by doing neither of these things.

Instead, the crystal deodorant works by eliminating the odor producing bacteria. This is neither a cover up of any odor, nor does it clog your pores and prevent you from sweating. If you feel uncomfortable with the idea of still having sweat stains on your clothing, then the crystal deodorant might not be for you, but if all you want is a way to control just how bad you can begin to smell, then this type of deodorant is probably for you.

There are also a few things working in favor of the crystal deodorant rock other than the fact that it helps to eliminate odor causing bacteria. The first one being that it is relatively inexpensive. It just happens to be the third mist abundant material on this planet and is therefore not in short supply!

The second thing is that it is most definitely long lasting. Not only in the department of odor protection, but also relative to its usage. A normal crystal deodorant stick will last anywhere upwards of a year for most people, with regular and frequent usage.

It is relatively simply to apply =96 all you need to do is to either dampen or wet the area that needs deodorant protection, apply the crystal deodorant stick to the area as you would any normal deodorant, and then rinse off the stick in preparation for the next use.

And best of all, by using a crystal deodorant you're keeping the gamut of harmful chemicals which can be found in normal deodorants and antiperspirants, away from you for good. Crystal deodorant is really all that you will need to help you fight sweaty odor. <bio>Author's sites: http://www.healtharticles-lk.com , http://www.herbalremedieslk.com , http://www.home-remedies-for-heartburn.com </bio>

Since bathroom mold is such a problem, finding out how to remove the source is important. Black mold will need a source, this is why you will see mold and mildew grow on the ceilings and walls of the showers and tile. If you see spores growing on the ceilings or your walls in the bathroom it is most likely because the black mold is eating the source of the material. You can notice this by the smell of the area. This smell will be a musty odor and you will usually start to feel a bit weird being around it. This is because of the toxic excrement which it releases.

The toxic excrement is really where most people begin to feel effects of mold. Bathroom wall mold removal is tough to solve, but always remember to look for the source of the problem.

Mold and Mildew are very common on bathroom walls as well as bathroom ceilings. How to rid black mold on ceilings of your bathroom and home is where you should be concerned.

Mold killers and natural cleaning products are an interesting can of worms. For you to effective kill mold and get rid of the spores of your wall you need to consistently clean the area of remove the food source. Bathroom wall mold removal will involve either decreasing the humidity in the bath area or using an encapsulation process. This encapsulation process will effectively block toxic black mold from amplifying. This happens with natural cleaning products that have the strength to remove mold and also prevent them from coming back. Mold killers are excellent for cleaning the bathroom, but be sure that are organic and strong enough to do the job. You are really looking for a surface mold killer and also a protectant for future growth.

Kill Mold Without Odor in your bathroom.

After you find the source of where you mold problem is coming from you will then most likely begin to smell some funky odors. This is usually because black mold is a living organism and you are breaking it down and removing it.

The excrement it leaves behind is very potent and when cleaning the area, you will smell the pungent odor. Be sure to clean the area completely. If you do smell an odor you can be assured you are cleaning the area. Depending on how long the mold and mildew has been there, you may come across the challenges of removing the stains of the mold and mildew. These stains can be multiple colors, sometimes black, pink, or green. The colors are different due to the different species of the mold and mildew. Bathroom mold is the most challenging to remove, due to the environment it is located within. Be sure to effectively remove the source of the problem, then dive into protecting your bathroom walls and tiles using a protectant that is organic and natural.

Bathroom wall mold removal is best done using an organic mold cleaning product that can clean effectively and also protect your walls and tiles from it coming back. Look into a mold removal kit that removes and prevents black mold from coming back. <bio>Maurice Manhattan http://www.mold-removal.biz/ask/ </bio>

Fido may be man`s best friend, but the odor sure isn`t! Whether you have a cat or a dog, you`ll find that pet odor can be overwhelming at times. Many people turn to pet spa products in an attempt to get rid of this nasty smell, but do these products really work?

Pet spa products are usually specifically formulated to give your pet an odor makeover and get rid of unpleasant smells that might keep you from getting too close to your pet. Often they are quite effective, but you do need to watch what ingredients are in the products you are using your dog or cat. Most of the pet shampoos, deodorizers and conditioners are made with a number of harsh ingredients that might not be so good for your pet.

The Downside of Chemical Pet Spa Products

Many of the pet spa products that are offered on today`s market are chock full of chemicals to get rid of smells, eliminate fleas, etc. While these are great benefits, the actual effect might not be what you are looking for.

What many pet owners don`t realize is that their pet may be sensitive to certain chemicals. It`s often difficult to know if this is the case, but your pet may be suffering in silence. Itchiness and agitation are signs that your dog or cat isn`t doing so well with the chemicals in the pet spa products being used. Sometimes these symptoms won`t appear until a little later and end up being mistaken for allergies to other things. Animals can also build up sensitivities to certain chemical s that are used over a long period of time, so it`s not usually a good idea to use anything that could cause irritation.

Even if your pet isn`t reacting to the chemicals, they aren`t necessarily a good idea. Do you really want to treat your best friend with substances containing something you can`t even pronounce?

Natural Pet Spa Products

Natural solutions to pet odor exist and they work just as well as the chemical laden pet spa products, but without the side effects. The use of natural ingredients and herbs is rapidly growing in popularity and quite a few pet owners are moving toward the all natural approach.

The advantages of going natural are many and you`ll find that your pet does far better without the extra ingredients that can cause problems both now and in the future. Your pet has no likelihood of developing an allergy to the pet spa product and the natural ingredients are often what the chemical version was based on, anyway!

Be sure to check the label on any product before using it on your pet. Often bottles that claim the ingredients are organic and natural still contain some chemicals. A brief scan of the ingredient list will let you know if that`s the case or not and you can treat your pet for bad odor without feeling guilty.

Look for pet products that contain herbs and essences to control the odor and to add shine. If you are looking for combination product to repel insects while getting rid of pet odor, there are natural methods of doing this, as well. Herbs like eucalyptus and lemon grass work well to combat both pests like fleas and those icky smells.

No one should have to tolerate nasty pet odors, but that doesn`t mean you need to treat your cat or dog with a harsh cleanser, either. Opt for natural pet spa products to get the job done . . . minus the chemicals.<bio>Sells and markets natural dog spa products and grooming supplies.
Sometimes, you don't want to look as sophisticated as you do "fun" or "funky". Whether you are getting all dressed up for halloween, mardi gras, new years or a rock concert- there are times when you might want to have a little fun with your hair and go out with a funky hair color that you would never be seen in otherwise!

Funky hair color can give you an opportunity to express yourself and turn yourself loose. The freedom to change the color of your hair or even dye it multicolored is great. However you will need to take a few safety precautions so that you make sure you don't damage your hair. When applying hair color be sure to follow the instructions written on the box to the dot.

Lucky for you, there are hundreds of products on the market right now that allow you to temporarily change the color of your hair to something fun and young- like blue, pink, purple, red, yellow, orange- or even a combination of colors! Not only can you change your hair color for an evening to something wild, but there are even hair accessory products that glow in the dark- perfect for concerts and outdoor night events or Halloween!

Spray Paint Hair

No, we're not suggesting you run out and buy spray paint at the hardware store to color your hair! There are numerous companies that offer hair spray in various colors. You just style your hair as you want it, and spray it with the colored hair spray to get the desired effect.

Colored hairspray will only last until your next shampoo, so you can really live it up with a wild color and have no regrets later!

Cream Hair Color

Some funky hair colors come in a jar and are either a cream substance or a gel. Cream hair colors are made with a lot of conditioning product as well, so it is better for your hair than many other types of coloring products. Gel hair color tends to last longer than cream.

Both cream and gel hair colors are applied using either your hands, in the same way you would shampoo your hair only you leave the product on for a specific length of time to get the results you're after; or you can use a brush to "paint" it on.

Glow in the Dark Hair

As if having bright purple hair was crazy enough, you can also get the funky hair colors in glow in the dark versions. Change the color of your entire hair temporarily to glow in the dark for an ultra-glowing effect; or just paint on a few strands here and there for a shocking look that would be great for rock concerts and Halloween parties!

Spray on hair color should be washing off as soon as you are done. Leaving on this type of hair color for longer than required can damage your hair. Permanent hair color should be avoided if you don't intent on looking multicolored after the weekend comes to an end.
Foot odor can be a really horrible condition. It can make you self conscious and it can also be hard to treat. So what causes foot odor and how exactly can you treat it before it becomes too much of a problem?

The Causes of Foot Odor

Feet naturally smell when they have been shoved into a trainer or shoe all day. Bacteria build and combined with your perspiration, which is what causes the actual odor.

Generally the feet have around 3,000 sweat glands per square inch which is quite a lot! This means that they are always producing perspiration and that is hard to reduce. The reason the perspiration smells so much on the feet, is because it is not exposed to the air. Our hands have just as many sweat glands in, but the perspiration does not smell on them because they are open in the air and the sweat evaporates.

Temperatures inside our shoes can easily reach up to 102 Fahrenheit. The perspiration and the warmth combined make it absolutely ideal for bacteria to breed. The bacteria are naturally present on our skin and it usually lives on our bodies with no noticeable problems. However, in this situation they do cause foot odor and so they are more noticeable than they usually are.

Generally men are the worst affected as they tend to produce a lot more perspiration than women do. The cause could be genetic, due to medication, or it could be simply down to stress. However, a lot of the time it is simply down to hygiene.

How to Treat Foot Odor

If you take into account that the odor generally occurs due to our shoes and trainers, it is often a good idea to clean them frequently. You can easily wash trainers in a washing machine and try not to wear the same shoes two days in a row. This is because they need to have at least 24 hours to air out before you wear them again, in order for the sweat to evaporate and dry out.

Changing your socks twice a day may also help as the sweat tends to soak into the socks, and if you sweat excessively, your socks will not be able to hold all the sweat in. Before changing socks, be sure to bathe your feet in luke warm water. This will help to clean the feet and make them nice and fresh. If you simply put clean socks onto dirty feet, you will only cause the socks to become dirty quicker than they should, and they will not really help the problem.

Sometimes the odor could be caused by an infection, so always check your feet, especially in between the toes, to check for any signs of redness or flakiness. If you do notice anything, be sure to get treatment for it right away as this could stop further odor from occurring.

There are some natural remedies you can try including soaking the feet in black tea for around thirty minutes a day per week. The acid within the tea kills the bacteria and it closes the pores which in turn keeps the feet dryer for longer periods of time.

To create this remedy you simply need two tea bags and a pint of water. Boil the water and add two quarts of cold water to it. Place the tea bags in the water and then soak the feet. You should find that this method works quite well.

Overall, hygiene is the best treatment you can use on foot odor. However, there are products out on the market which eliminate the odor and help the feet to smell nice again.
Like many others, I am a perpetual cat lover. I mean my love for cats is not sporadic. I suppose, in a way I am addicted to cats. We own two cats and both have profound personalities. Everything is fine with them, except the stink that comes out of their litter. Since my husband was used to dogs in his younger days, the question of odor never arose because dogs are much more house trained than cats and so he is somewhat concerned about the smell.

Incidentally, our first cat was black and like all cats, was independent right from the beginning. He used to sleep in the house but also strayed outside whenever he liked. But he had a natural aversion to the cat litter box provided for him and would cry out by the access door whenever he had to answer a call of the nature. We kept the cat litter box in a corner of the basement for him to use if we were gone from home for a few days. The cat litter box was made from recycled newspaper and the arrangement suited us well.

The black cat had reached the prime age of sixteen years when we adopted a beautiful Siamese that was two years old. Since he had been de-clawed we could not let him stray outside and had to have a regular cat litter box for his whole time use. Fortunately, the previous owner of the Siamese had sent along a cat litter box and some food items along. So our problems were solved for sometime. Now, each cat has his own litter and was fairly happy.

But shortly after adopting the Siamese we had to be moved to a different location and all the routines had to undergo changes. Since the cat litter box was placed in the basement, access to it was easy for the younger cat but the older cat found it difficult to manage the steps. So his cat litter box had to be kept at a convenient place within his reach. Having failed in our efforts to get rid of the odor, we tried several different litters but there arose a problem of quite a different kind. Instead of keeping away the odor, they suppressed it with a heavy floral scent alien to the cats as well as to us. As a last resort, we bought an air purification system that solved the problem of odor and kept it free of germs. An air purification system is really a good choice for other cat lovers like me. I am very happy with it. <bio>For more articles on Cats, Dogs and other pet care please visit our website at http://www.toppettips.com/ </bio>

Pet urine odor can be very difficult to completely remove from a carpet. If you are having trouble removing odor from your dogs little house training accidents you should read this article to get learn how to permanently take care of it.

The first thing you need to do is thoroughly clean the surface of the carpet. This is often all that is necessary to remove the odor. So start there and let the carpet thoroughly dry before continuing. To clean the carpet use a solution of one part white distilled vinegar and three parts water. Mist the solution on the carpet and after allowing it to dwell for a few minutes, blot it up. If you have a home spotter, rinse the area with plain water. Now let it dry.

If it is still smelly you can move on to the next step. Purchase a bottle of enzyme cleaner from your local pet store and mix it up by following the directions on the bottle. Thoroughly saturate the area and place plastic wrap over the spot to keep it wet for twenty four to forty eight hours. After that time has passed, let the area dry. You might have to use a little of your vinegar and water solution to spot clean it after it is completely dry of a water mark appears.

If the odor is still present after the last step you have to go to the extreme measure of pulling up the carpet and removing the pad. Purchase or rent a knee kicker from your local home improvement store and use it to pull back the carpet. Cut out the affected area of pad and take a sample of it to the home improvement store. Match the thickness and density of the pad and purchase a replacement section along with a can of spray sealant and masking tape. Return home and clean the sub floor with your vinegar and water solution and allow it to dry. Next spray the sealant on the dry sub floor and allow it to dry. Then replace the section of pad you removed and use the masking tape to bind the edges of the old and new padding. Now just use the knee kicker to replace the carpet and you are done.

Hopefully this has been of help to you in removing the pet odor from your carpet. If it sounds too involved you should call a local carpet cleaner who can handle the problem for you for a reasonable cost. <bio>Learn more about this at http://www.flintcarpetcleaning.info , a website on carpet cleaning services and care. </bio>

Smoke odor removal can be very difficult in homes, offices, and even vehicles. If you have just purchased a home that smokers had previously lived in, it is really difficult to rid the home of the smell. Many homeowners replace the carpet and even paint the walls, but still cannot seem to get the smell out. For some reason it is one of those scents that seems to just hang in the air forever. Opening the windows helps, but as soon as they are closed again the scent seems to be back. Unfortunately, this scent is not appealing to homeowners or their guests, and can actually make some people feel unwell.

Instead of living in what smells like a smoker's house, there are some steps that you can take. First, before you ever move in you should keep the windows open and the ceiling fans on for as long as possible. It is also a superb idea to have the carpets professionally cleaned, as this can be a great approach to smoke odor removal. Unfortunately, if the smokers that lived in the home before you lived there for a long time, the carpet cleaning will only be a temporary fix. The reason for this is that the smells have probably permeated the carpet padding, so after a few days or weeks the smell will gradually become more and more obvious again.

Your smoke odor removal attempts do not have to be over yet. Many home owners find that simply washing the walls with an antibacterial cleaner can help them cut through the grime on the walls of the home that is contributing to the scents in the home. This can be a long and time consuming process, but washing the walls is often very effective. If this doesn't work, you may want to consider having the walls painted to simply cover up any of the lingering smells. Of course, repainting a whole house can simply replace the smoky smells with paint smells. Painting is also a costly option for most, if they really want to do away with the lingering smells.

Just because your home smells like a smoker's home after all of your attempts does not mean that you have to deal with it or move. Instead, you need to think about getting to the root of the problem, which is the contaminants that are lingering in the air no matter what you do. If you really want to nip your smoke odor removal problem in the bud, consider a Quantum Pure Aire purifier.
Foot odor may be one the most offensive smells in the world. Oftentimes, foot odor is caused by bacteria that develop or grow in human feet that are very tightly covered by shoes. The bacteria develop and grow at a very fast rate.

Foot odor affects many humans. If you are having this problem yourself, you know how embarrassing it is to have this condition, and naturally, you would want to get rid of it fast. Shoe inserts may reduce the smell but it will not make the problem go away.

Unfortunately, not much research has been made to address this problem. Perhaps, you can go to a foot specialist or podiatrist to help you design a treatment plan that is suited to your condition. Or you can try any of the following home remedies.

One of the most effective herbs that can treat smelly feet is sage. Reportedly, the continuous use of sage has been very effective in keeping the feet odor-free.

Accordingly, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Actually, apple does a lot more that that --- it also keeps foot odor away. It has been said that soaking your feet in one-third cup of apple cider vinegar mixed with a part of warm water can effectively control foot odor, especially if done on a regular basis.

If ever you run out of apple cider vinegar, one alternative you can use as soak is alum mixed with two gallons of water. Soak your feet in this solution for about 30 minutes, and do this regularly. After a month, you will be amazed that you no longer have smelly feet. Then you can also soak your feet in a quart of water mixed with five black tea bags. Black tea contains tannins that act as natural astringents.

The versatile household item, baking soda, is also a natural odor neutralizer. Sprinkle it in your shoes and you will have a pair of odor-free feet anytime of the day. You can also spray your feet with the juice of two dozens of radishes mixed with one-fourth teaspoon of glycerine.

If you enjoy eating yogurt, you will be very pleased to know that eating yogurt with live culture or drinking kefir will help ward off fungal infections. Also, take zinc supplements because zinc has the ability of reducing odor by making the skin more resistant to bacteria.

Other effective home remedies for foot odor:

Home Remedies for Foot Odor with Kosher salt:

Kosher salt is a type of salt that has slightly larger crystals than the ordinary salt.

Kosher salt produces a drying effect on the feet, preventing it from sweating. Sweating may trigger foot odor when it combines with fungi and bacteria.

• To use kosher salt for foot odors, just dissolve one-half cup of salt to one-quart water. Soak your feet in it. Don't rinse. Just pat your feet dry.

Treat Foot Odor with Alum powder:

Alum power, or more particularly aluminum chloride hexahydrate, is a good agent to keep your foot away from nasty odors.

Alum power has a deodorizing effect on the skin, more particularly the foot. There are a lot of powers available in the market today that contains alum as an active ingredient.

Natural Treatments for Foot Odor with Baking Soda:

If you can't find alum powder in your closet, you might as well go find baking soda in your kitchen counter.

Baking soda can deodorize your feet in no time. Just sprinkle one to two teaspoons of baking soda on your feet. Baking soda would absorb the moisture and it could hide odor as well.

Natural Remedies for Foot Odor with Black tea:

If you have black tea sitting in your kitchen counter, soak several bags in a small basin of water.

Use five bags per quart of boiling water. Black tea contains tannic acid that has astringent properties that could prevent your feet from sweating. Soak your feet on the black tea solution. You can also add some ice cubes for a more soothing effect.

With all these home remedies, you can virtually say goodbye to smelly feet.<bio>The author is the owner of www.home-remedies-natural-cures.org/.
Have you just finished potty training your new puppy? There is often great relief when your young dog finally gets that they are supposed to go outdoors to use the bathroom, but with that relief often comes the realization that in your home you have a huge pet odor removal problem. When your new puppy goes to the bathroom around the home, it can be difficult to get the stains out of the floor, let alone get all of the smells out of the carpet and carpet padding.

The problem with puppies is that they often might use places that you did not even see, so you may have missed the opportunity to keep the urine from soaking into the carpet padding. If you have linoleum floors, the urine can also seep down below the surface of the floor and into the flooring, causing unwanted scents. While your puppy may now be potty trained, your house might smell more like a kennel than ever! Who wants to return to the home after a long day at the office only to find that their home is almost uninhabitable? This unwelcome greeting upon entering the home is generally the beginning of the pet odor removal process for most homeowners.

As dogs age, they often are not able to get outside before they have to urinate. This can bring back all of those bad memories of getting rid of the lingering scents of potty training puppies. The problem with older dogs is that they usually do not mean to go in the house, but they simply cannot hold it for as long as they once could, or they simply are not aware enough to realize that they are doing something that they normally wouldn't do. Pet odor removal can again become a problem for the pet owner, especially if the dog is an inside dog and spends a lot of time alone. What can you do?

If you visit any store you will find that there is probably a whole aisle dedicated to eliminating the lingering scents associated with the accidents that your puppy has left behind, as well as with the messes that older adult dogs leave around the house. Unfortunately, most of these products are chemical based and will only cover up the problem and not really eliminate it. This is annoying because you will think that you had gotten rid of the smells, but then after a couple days or weeks the scent is back, with the addition of a faint chemical smell.

If you want a true pet odor removal technique, you may want to check out Quantum Pure Aire Products. This is a company that offers a wide variety of air purifiers that will help dog and even cat owners eliminate unwanted scents in their home for good. The reason is that these air purifiers remove all of the toxins and bacteria that are causing the dirty scents, leaving the home smelling fresh and clean like it should.
Have you thought of how much toxins pet stains contain and leave inside your carpeting. Have you ever went into your home to smell musty pet odors and then you could not notice them anymore.

You cannot notice pet odors after awhile being in the room because of your nasal cavity. The glands in the nose become adapted to the smell, but your guests will smell it.

So how can you get rid of pet stains and why should you consider trying something that disinfects the carpet as well as removes the stains.

The simple fact that pet stains are caused by urine, feces, blood, or vomit throws up a big warning. All these items can cause bacteria and rot the carpeting as well as your insides. Pet urine contains ammonia, this can be extremely harmful to you and your pet. Don't even think about using bleach, because the mixture of bleach and ammonia will have your nose in a tail spin.

So what about vinegar?

If you are thinking about using vinegar to remove pet stains and odors then you are in for a big surprise. You see vinegar has a unique odor that really stinks in my opinion. In fact, vinegar can make your entire house smell even worse then messy pet stains and odors.

Don't even think of using vinegar on the carpeting. Vinegar is potent and will create a funky odor for months that you will never be able to get rid of. As for pet stains and vinegar, I would recommend not to mess with it. You need something that will neutralize and deodorize the odor.

A popular raw material to clean pet stains and odors is enzymes. Pet stain removers are now beginning to use enzymes and some are using organic raw materials.

These organic pet stain removers also disinfect and can terminate bacteria so it not only cleans and deodorizes, you also will get rid of messy diseases that can harm you and your pet.

Pet stain removers are now turning to a natural safe raw material that will be able to neutralize pet stains without damaging the carpets, no matter how old the carpeting is.

Now with so many natural cleaning products developed, it is about time a few major companies have developed pet stain removers from natural raw materials. In fact the pet stain removers neutralize pet stains and odors entirely as well as been tested to get rid of bacteria. Somewhat like a disinfectant anti-microbial pet stain remover.

For free samples or to try going green with pet stain removers you can look at a few new product launches that are going to be happening like http://www.mycleaningproducts.com/pet_products.html For a limited time you can be given a chance to try there new Stainerizer pet stain remover.

Go green and be sure to stay away from harsh chemicals, not only can they hurt your carpets and furniture, they can kill you and your pets. Litter Box Too Short or Shallow to work properly?

I've tried all kinds of litter boxes, the corner litter box, the top opening litter box, giant litter box, covered, hooded=85none of them worked.

I've spent a small fortune on litter boxes attempting to solve the problem.

The most common problem stated that causes cat owners to euthanize or give their pet away is, cat urinating outside the litter box.

This can be avoided by determining if your cat has a health issue, is the litter box too dirty for the cat or is the type of litter repelling it?

Has your cat exhibited any recent changes in elimination behavior? If the cat suddenly is not using the litter box or meowing while eliminating, have it checked by your vet. There may be a health concern that needs to be corrected.

Dealing with litter box odor can be a problem.

Covered litter boxes are supposed to filter and reduce odor, but they tend to hold more odor. Most cats also find the odor unappealing and will not enter the box, they are also repelled by the perfumes and deodorizing pellets found in some litters. Additionally, if you use a bleach, strong disinfectant or ammonia the lasting odor could also deter your cat from using the box, hence going outside, around the litter box, or on the carpet.

Dirty litter boxes, pans or trays may be the cause of many litter box behavior problems. Adding baking soda to the litter may cause health issues for some cats because of its high sodium content, and when cats cover up by scratching they have a tendency to breathe the baking soda which is not healthy, so be aware.

Keep litter boxes away from air ducts, furnaces and noisy appliances may that start automatically while your cat is using it, which may cause the cat to be startled enough to make it go elsewhere.

Most litter boxes, pans and trays are designed for our convenience and not the cats. They are too small, shallow and narrow. An ideal box should be deep, tall and large enough for the cat to circle around within, with ease. Its sides should be high enough to prevent splattering on the wall. Medium to large cats, need larger pans or boxes.

Cleaning your litter box should be a relatively easy job. Use a mild cleaning solution like ivory soap or liquid castle soap, never cleaners like Lysol, bleach, ammonia and really rinse it well!!! Remember cats have a keen sense of smell and if they smell a lingering perfume odor, they won't use the box.

Ideally, you should keep an eye on your litter box to determine when it is necessary to clean. For some cats, once a week is fine. For others it may be too long. Try and remove any waste on a daily basis, surely every 2 days. This will ensure that there will be no problems with your cat going elsewhere in the home, and avoiding the cause of odor.

Check out how I used a simple everyday item to STOP the Odor, Mess and Health Risks that can be caused by any cat's litter box. <bio>Sheri Davis Collins is a responsible pet owner for 20+ years, practicing holistic and homeopathic care.
Are you battling an odor removal problem in your home? It is true that once a scent sets in around the house, it can be difficult to get rid of it. There are many different products on the market that boast the ability to rid your home of the scents that you do not like or want in your house. Unfortunately, many of these products simply do not work all that well or only cover up the scents that you are trying to do away with permanently. It can be difficult to determine what is the best approach to rid your home of unwanted smells.

Many of the products on the market today require that you spray surfaces with chemicals. In some instances this can help, especially where carpets are concerned because many times the problem is the carpet padding. Once items soak into the carpet padding, it can be very difficult to get rid of the associated smells. Unfortunately, many of the chemicals that you spray on carpets for odor removal only work for a limited amount of time, and then the smells creep back up over time. The problem is that the chemicals often do not actually break down the bacteria that are causing the problem, which allows the scents to stick around and hang in the air.

One of the most common problems that people deal with in a home is mold and mildew. The smells of mold and mildew are typically unmistakable and can be from a bathroom that is not ventilated well enough so that mildew and mold grow quickly and stink up the entire house. Washing the shower walls and toilet with bleach based products can definitely help to remove the build up, but if the shower is not continually cleaned in this manner, the problem will simply return. Ventilation is an important odor removal technique because it does away with the actual cause of the mold and mildew growth.

In addition to bathrooms, many of the unwanted scents that homeowners complain about are related to the kitchen. The kitchen is a common place for problems to occur because of food preparation, trash, and garbage disposals. If all of these things are not tended to on a regular and thorough basis, odors can get out of control really quickly. Cleanliness and ventilation is again at the forefront of preventing these scents to begin with, but even the best housekeeper will find that there are scents that they would rather not smell from time to time.

To approach odor removal without chemicals, one should consider checking out Quantum Pure Aire Products. This company provides state of the art air purifiers that will take out all of the toxins and stench causing contaminants so that you do not have to breathe them in, or have a less than pleasant smelling home.

These air purifiers will keep your home smelling fresh and are unbreakable and self cleaning so that you do not have to do any maintenance at any time.
Nothing is everlasting, what is in vogue today is outdated tomorrow. Every decade has seen a new trend and it is reflected in everything right from clothes to furniture to attitude. 60and#8217;s was one such era that gave birth to the funky and cool style.

The 60and#8217;s experienced a very different kind of trend, it displayed a very carefree and funky attitude. This attitude reflected in the furnitureand#8217;s too, hence it could be rightly referred to as the 60and#8217;s furniture.

In 1952 the nation saw yet another funky style of furniture that became very popular. It was termed as the and#8216;G planand#8217;.

The popularity of the funky furniture made it a high demand commodity, and limited manufacturing made collecting the whole set equally difficult. This scarcity forced customers to resort to purchasing the consecutive set and blend it with the original set and the result was satisfying. This gave birth to the mix and match concept, which was later, named as the and#8216;Gand#8217; Plan trend.

The mix and match trend proved to be a blessing in disguise for homeowners. It spared them from spending a fortune to purchase the entire set. This concept gave them liberty to experiment with different sets and create their own style.

Scandinavia emerged as the top manufacturer of the G plan furniture. Mostly retro styled furniture was made from Swedish pine, commonly known as summa and for the more modern designs the dark Tola wood from Africa was used.

The 60and#8217;s saw a growing trend of Use and throw attitude among the younger generation, even though it lasted for a short period it left its impression on the furniture market too. Everything from blow up cupboards to chairs and other furniture items were available in the market hence discarding outdated items was no more a big problem. But a survey conducted proved that evening this era, the love and respect for wooden furniture had not reduced.

G plan furniture manufacturers always embossed their creation with a gold or red stamps on its base to mark its authenticity. Nowadays its difficult to find these authentic classy creations, but one can easily shop for the original G plan furnitureand#8217;s on online auction sites like Ebay and other listed stores, although it can prove to be a bit too expensive owing to its high shipping charges its definitely worth trying. Looking out for these funky furnitureand#8217;s at garage sales, car boot sales, weekend markets and charity shops is a much better option. <bio>Adam Peters loves writing for http://www.home-decorating-reviews.com .
A skunk's spray is one of the most unpleasant odors there is to a human's nose. Putting your dog outside in the yard, hearing a commotion and finding out a skunk has sprayed your pet is not only terrible but also very smelly. A skunk's spray is yellowy oil, which they spray or mist from up to almost twenty feet away when they feel like they are in danger. Many dogs end up sprayed because they try to defend their property and the skunk usually wins.

The first words of advice are 'do not bring your dog inside after it has been skunked' as it will take forever to get the smell out of your house. The skunk odor will permeate anything porous such as beds, sofas, towels, untreated wood and plasterboard. Check your pet's eyes to see if the skunk got spray in them. If it did your dog's eyes will appear red. This sometimes causes temporary blindness that usually lasts from ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse your dog's eyes with a saline solution or use eye-drops for a human or olive oil, to help relieve the eye irritation. Take your pet to the veterinarian if the dogs' eyes continue to be red or irritated.

The treatment you use on your dog is far more effective if you do it before the skunks spray has had a chance to dry on your pet. The first order of business is putting on old clothes and rubber gloves, that you will not feel bad about, if you throw them away after. Do not shampoo the whole dog, just the area affected, as you do not want the odor spreading onto the rest of your pet. Before you grab the tomato juice, be aware that it will not remove the skunk odor, just mask it.

Here is a concoction that successfully works at eliminating that terrible skunk odor on your pet. In a large open bowl or container, pour in one quart of three percent hydrogen peroxide, one teaspoon of any type of liquid dishwashing soap and one-quarter cup of baking soda or sodium bicarbonate. When mixed together, the mixture foams and this is the best time to use it. Hydrogen peroxide is available in drug stores and some people feel that joy dishwashing detergent works the best. There are commercial skunk deodorizer removers available but they do not always do a good job.

While the mixture is still foaming, wet down the area of the dog that the skunk sprayed. After leaving the lather in the fur up to ten minutes, use tap water to rinse this area thoroughly. Repeat this if necessary. For dogs sprayed in the face by a skunk, very carefully apply the mixture with a cloth, making sure to keep it out of your pets' eyes, nose and mouth. Make this solution only when you need it and always discard the unused solution, after you mix it together, as it will explode if covered or stored.

If the skunk sprayed your house or fence etc, there are commercial products available to remove the skunk odor. To keep skunks from wanting in your yard, make sure the garbage pails lids fit tightly, do not keep dog food outside and close any spaces that makes a comfortable place for skunks to live, such as under cement steps. <bio>Kelly Marshall hates skunk odor. But she loves shopping at http://www.ohmydogsupplies.com to find really cool dog gear that isn't sold at the local pet store. </bio>

Sweating is the production and then evaporation of fluid, mostly water, that is made by the sweat glands in out skin. Sweat also contains a few other chemical compounds as well.

Everybody sweats, it is the bodies natural way of cooling itself off when it gets hot. When the body overheats it causes the sweat glands to become active and then we sweat. The sweat, in turn, evaporates off of the skin and creates a cooling effect.

Evaporation of sweat from the skin surface has a cooling effect due to the evaporation of water. Hence, in hot weather, or when the individual's muscles heat up due to exertion, more sweat is produced. Sweating is increased by nervousness and nausea and decreased by cold.

Hyperhidrosis is characterized by abnormally increased perspiration and sweating. The sweating is n excess of what is needed for regulation of bodily temperature.

Hyperhidrosis can either be all over your body or located to specific parts of the body. Hands, feet, arm pits and the groin are among the most active regions of hyperhidrosis due to the high number of sweat glands in those areas. You can have it anywhere on your body though. Hyperhidrosis is found to start during adolescence or sometimes before, and it seems to be inherited as a genetic trait.

Hyperhidrosis is estimated at around 1% of the population, and it affects men and women equally. Most patients usually disregard their excessive sweating and it never occurs to them that they could have a condition.

Deodorants are applied to the body and most frequently the armpits to reduce the body odor. This body odor is caused by the bacterial breakdown of perspiration. Deodorants can also be used on feet and other areas in the form of body sprays, sticks and bars.

The ordinary deodorant produces a nice fragrance to hide the odor from the bacteria breaking down your sweat. Deodorants do not stop you from sweating. With sweat can come body odor. When you do start smelling, deodorant will mask the smell but it will not get rid of the sweat itself. You will still end up with sweat blots under your arms and pit stains. <bio>Ed Drain is the principal at http://www.blocksweating.com. Excessive Sweating is a problem for people. Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for too much sweating. You can use deodorants and antiperspirants to cut down your excessive sweating. </bio>

The connection between your allergy and deodorant is not that you may be allergic to an ingredient in the product. In addition, your diet and nutrition is playing such an important role that if paid attention to could actually eliminate your allergy all together.

The allergy and deodorant connection is no different to peanut allergies. For some reason, sometimes related to our genes, our body has an adverse reaction to various things. Traditional medicine says that there is something wrong with you. However, natural medicine would assert that in addition to you being prone to allergic reactions to certain things, there are also other factors in your environment that may be aggravating the allergic reaction. If you can isolate those other factors, you may be able to reduce or eliminate your allergy.

For example, there is mounting research that indicates that the lack of omega-3 fats in our diet could be aggravating our allergies. Because we eat a lot of processed foods and meat that is raised unnaturally, we are consuming far too few omega-3 fats and this could be connected to the severity of your allergy. So, the allergy and deodorant relationship could be reduced if you consumed more omega-3 fats.

Another diet angle to the allergy and deodorant connection is sugar. We consumer far too much sugar in the US and this could be aggravating your allergy. So for example, instead of discontinuing the use of your deodorant, stop eating so much sugar and you may find that allergy is greatly reduced or even that it even disappears.

Finally, something else you should consider with the allergy and deodorant connection is the use of deodorant in the first place. Antiperspirant has aluminum in it which is absorbed into your body when you apply. This is toxic to your body and could cause you harm in the long run. If you are having a hard time controlling your body odor then use antiperspirant sparingly. You are better off using deodorant, not antiperspirant.

The allergy and deodorant connection can also be addressed by you examining why you have body odor in the first place. Keep a diary of what you eat and drink day to day and also note the level of your body odor. See if you can find a connection between what you eat and body odor. But as far as the allergy itself, the allergy and deodorant issue may be resolved by avoiding sugar and grains and consuming more omega-3 fats. <bio>Loni publishes a newsletter on how to manage and cure allergies.
The world of deodorants and antiperspirants is wide and sometimes confusing as you look at the many different brands in an attempt to buy one that is right for you. For people who desire to live their normal lives without having to worry about body odor you might like to try Mitchum antiperspirant deodorant. That's right this is one of those body odor controlling substances which combines the action of a deodorant with that of an antiperspirant.

The advertising campaign for Mitchum antiperspirant will inform you of the various advantages that you will gain by using this odor protector. There are in reality, both advantages and disadvantages, to using this antiperspirant. One of the main disadvantages is the high price. Unlike the other brands of antiperspirants and deodorants, Mitchum antiperspirant is more expensive.

While most antiperspirants are available in a roll on form or a solid stick, Mitchum antiperspirant can be bought as a spray and a roll on. There are a few people who will have negative feelings about this antiperspirant, but on the whole you will find that most users of Mitchum antiperspirant have become regular users just after their first application with this antiperspirant.

So the best way that you can judge just how effective this antiperspirant is you will need to try with a spray or roll on based antiperspirant. Once you have decided if you like it then you can see about buying one of the Mitchum antiperspirant products.

For those of you who are against using animals for any type of cosmetic testing, you will be pleased to know that Mitchum antiperspirant by Revlon does not have any part of hurting animals as part of making this antiperspirant.
If you have dogs, you know how that unpleasant odor can stick to carpets. Its not that you dont love your dogs, you can love them and not the smell! Wet dog odors are particularly stubborn and tend to get right into carpet fibers. Then they release that nasty smell all the time and turn your home into a "dog" house.

Fortunately, you dont have to live with that smell in your carpets. Carpet tends to pick up nasty odors far easier than any hard floor surface in your home, and it also stores them easier. With a hard surface, you can simply use a detergent that also eliminates odors, but with carpet, youll need to put in a bit more elbow grease.

Odor Prevention

The first thing to keep in mind is that prevention is far easier than fixing the problem after the fact. There are several ways to prevent dog odor from seeping into your carpets in the first place.

• Keep dogs away from carpeted rooms. Not always practical, but very effective.

• Vacuum regularly. This keeps odors from really settling.

• Deal with any mess (urine, feces or vomit) immediately and spot clean the area with a deodorizing detergent.

• Dry your dog completely with a towel after coming in from a bath or rain.

• Use a special fiber sealant on the carpet to help protect it from absorbing odors.

However, the absolute best way to avoid pet odors is to keep your dog odor free. Bathe your dog frequently and keep him nice and clean. This will definitely help, but to really deal with the problem, youll want to make sure that you actually remove the odors from your dog. There are shampoos formulated especially for pets that will help prevent bacterial growth that causes those unpleasant smells.

Removing Odors

Once you have the dog odor in your carpet, even some heavy duty vacuuming wont help matters. Youll need something a bit stronger to get the odors that are actually deep in the carpet fibers. These are the smells that are more difficult to remove.

For short pile carpets, baking soda might be the easiest solution. Simply sprinkle a heavy layer of baking soda over the entire carpet and let it sit for two or three hours. Overnight is even better. You can then vacuum it up. The baking soda will have absorbed the smells embedded in the carpet and by vacuuming it up, you get rid of them. However, some odors are so strong that they require more than one application.

If you arent up to waiting and sprinkling baking powder, it might be better to just rent a steam cleaner. This will suck the bad smells and dirt right out of the carpet. Its also a good option for longer carpets where dirt and hair and dandruff tend to get trapped. The steam cleaner will get rid of just about everything and youll be amazed at how clean your floor is afterwards. While you have it, run the steam cleaner over your sofa, as well and get any lingering odors out of the upholstery, too.

Owning dogs doesnt mean you have to put up with a house that stinks. Keeping your dogs clean and ensuring that any messes are immediately cleaned with a deodorizing cleaner will help keep those odors at bay. And, for the times when things do pile up, a steam cleaner or baking soda will get your house smelling fresh and clean again, without using any nasty chemicals on your carpets.<bio>Sells and markets natural dog spa products and grooming supplies.
