Visualize if George Jetson had his own microbrewery; what would it be like? Would the look be lustrous and space-like? How much superior and rapid could it would it operate? How about the formidable S.S. Enterprise? Can you just comprehend Captain Kirk or Captain Picard enjoying a pint of their own galactic beverage? As well as what would provide power to the machine making such incredible home brews? Hydrogen cells are creating waves and news as well as the whole lot in between on a planet where shortages of energy are not about economical folklore.

What exactly is a hydrogen cell? What does home brewing have in common with energy conservation anyway? Hydrogen cells are a class of fuel cell, which is on the whole an energy conservation device. Fuel cells deliver their own energy, almost always wit the service of a specific source of fuel and an oxidant. Hydrogen acts as the primary source of fuel and oxygen acts as the oxidant.

Breweries want engine capacity to manufacture their ales and lagers, and in reality cannot be lacking power at anytime. That is where hydrogen fuel cells play an important role; they keep the energy flowing. And being able to "make" energy at home is pretty darn cool. It also helps you being both energy conscious and pretty cost conscious. You might even grace the covers of some magazines.

What can hydrogen cells be used for? Currently, they can be looked at as especially useful support generators of sorts. Scores of companies, including several respected breweries are looking to fuel cells as a means to be extra self-sufficient as far as energy is concerned. This could be excellent news for the future of making beer as a hobby; home breweries running on hydrogen cells. There would be significant reductions in energy usage.

Can hydrogen cells help home breweries? The hope for persons investigating fuel cells is that every individual will be able to exploit most of the advantages that this invention has to offer. You would be able to provide electricity to so much, from your microbrewery to each electrical device in your home by reducing your energy consumption.

There is a general shortage of information on the likely applications of hydrogen fuel cells. Even as some are using fuel cells, the level of what they have got to offer is still being studied. The Sierra Nevada Brewery is using molten carbonate fuel cells and are projecting a reduction of more than $400,000 a year in energy expenditure. <bio>Find more home beer brewing information at http://www.informationattendant.com/ </bio>

There are many advantages to hydrogen fuel cells. Hydrogen fuel cells are environmentally friendly. Hydrogen fuel cells use a renewable natural resource and hydrogen burns cleanly when combusted in the engine. The US government has also launched initiatives to make hydrogen affordable. As gas prices rise and hydrogen prices drop, hydrogen fuel cells are quickly becoming attractive options for car owners. Unfortunately, it is expensive to produce hydrogen fuel cells. But can you build hydrogen fuel cell for your car?

The simple answer is no. Hydrogen fuel cells are complex, sophisticated engines made by a highly trained team of experienced engineers. Commercially produced hydrogen fuel cells are complex in their engineering architecture. Considerable expertise, technology and manpower is required to produce hydrogen fuel cells.

Even if you had the resources and the money to produce your own hydrogen fuel cell, safety is another issue that you cannot ignore. Hydrogen is a highly combustible element, and a poorly made hydrogen fuel cell can produce explosive results. We highly advise against trying to build your own hydrogen fuel cell.

The technology used to build hydrogen fuel cells is so new, that most mechanics are unable to service a vehicle that uses hydrogen fuel cells, let alone build one from scratch. Not only are fuel cells difficult to build, but the materials required are also costly. Most hydrogen fuel cells use platinum as a catalyst. Platinum is a rare and expensive metal that is challenging to work with, especially for home automotive enthusiasts.

Even if you could build a hydrogen fuel cell, keep in mind that most hydrogen fuel cells are fragile. They are unable to withstand long term exposure to bumps and vibrations of everyday road travel.

Technology may eventually evolve to the point where we can build our own hydrogen fuel cells the same way automotive enthusiasts build their own gas combustion engines. Unfortunately, that day is still not here yet. Automotive hydrogen fuel cells are expensive and difficult to construct and maintain. And once constructed, their fragile nature exposes safety concerns that motorists should not have to contend with.

Small-scale hydrogen fuel cells can be created in your home if curiosity has truly piqued your interest. These experiments are easy and cheap to conduct. There are several websites that will show you how to make a home-made hydrogen fuel cell of science project quality. These projects are fun, and more importantly safe.

For a variety of reasons, you cannot build hydrogen fuel cell (s) that are safe or cost efficient. If you are looking to conserve gas and save the environment, there are other options available. HHO (2 parts of hydrogen, 1 part of oxygen) conversion kits can be utilized to allow your vehicle to partially run on water. These conversions can be safe, provided you closely follow a good guide. There are many different guides on HHO conversion, so it would be ideal to conduct some research before investing in a HHO conversion guide. Thankfully, HHO conversion can be simple, safe and environmentally friendly. So the next time you consider modifying your vehicle to save on gas, consider using water instead of hydrogen.<bio>Click Here to learn how to run your car on water today.
Are you tired of high priced gasoline for your car? Or perhaps worried about the environment? For years, scientists have being working on an energy alternative that holds promises to change the way we live by changing the source of fuel for some of our most basic energy-using engines. This new technology in progress is called a fuel cell. A fuel cell supplies a DC (direct current) voltage that can be used to power motors, lights, or any number of electrical appliances.

The technical name for a fuel cell is an electrochemical energy conversion device. A fuel cell converts the chemicals hydrogen and oxygen into water, and in the process it produces electricity. Other electrochemical devices that are in use these days and for many decades is the well-known battery. The distinguishing difference between a simple battery and a fuel cell is that all the chemicals are stored inside the battery. The battery in turn converts those chemicals into electricity but in due course it andquot;goes deadandquot; as the chemicals are used up and at times you can either throw it away or recharge it.

Then again with a fuel cell, chemicals continually flow into the cell so as long as there is a flow of chemicals into the cell; the electricity flows out of the fuel cell. Combustion engines the gasoline engine burn fuels and batteries converted chemical energy back into electrical energy when needed. However, fuel cells should do both tasks more efficiently.

Simply put the construction and materials in a fuel cell release electrons from the hydrogen gas creating electricity and the waste product after the electricity is used to power an electrical device is water, formed with the negative hydrogen and the oxygen. This reaction in a single fuel cell produces only about 0.7 volts. To get this voltage up to a reasonable level, several separate fuel cells must be combined to form a fuel-cell stack.

However one major problem with using hydrogen is that it is cannot be stored easily for consumer use. Among the other alternatives, it could be natural gas, propane, and methanol gas. The main objective of using fuel cell technology is pollution reduction. Fuel cell is also very efficient; 80% of the fuel use in these cells is converted into usable energy as compared to only 20% for a gasoline powered engine and about 30% overall for a battery powered electric vehicle.

Evidently there is no question that the fuel cell holds greater promise for the future. However, the fuel cell technology must still gather all the pieces of finding the right 'fuel' source that is both easy to store and deliver to the consumer, efficiency of the vehicle using fuel cells, and the cost for the total package. <bio>Ernest R.
Clearing up water gas technology misconceptions

Before we go any further, we need to clarify one or more misconceptions in this regard.

Water gas technology is becoming a hot, hot and hot topic these days - and why not, with the fuel prices reaching the roof and all. It seems that everyone is saying that this is the solution to our fuel dependency problems. We can finally run our cars on tap water alone - a concept that we have earlier though to be a pipe dream and nothing more. But is this really possible?

One: the water gas technology cannot afford us the power to run our cars on mere tap water alone - at least not on the commercial level. Rather, we use H2O (also known as HHO) as a fuel economy booster; or some element we could use to maximize our car's fuel use. We still need to buy gas with this technology.

In automobile history, the only time that water has successfully been used as fuel source was when engines ran with steam power. The locomotive industry used this extensively for years. However, steam powered engines are cumbersome and bulky, and needs a large storage of fuel source like coal or wood. These are definitely not something you can install in modern day cars.

Two: not all ready made engines can use water gas technology. Most, if not all of these said engines will have to undergo necessary makeovers.

Three: although there are many online companies now offering do-it-yourself manuals on how to convert your car's engine to something that can use the water gas technology, it would still be better to have a professional mechanic or engine builder perform the necessary changes. Otherwise, you will only be putting your car (and you!) in danger.

How does water gas technology really work?

To simplify matters, we are going to couch this explanation in layman's terms. Water gas technology would obviously need more specialized equipment to process the water as fuel economy booster. You would need a water reservoir to place in your tap water; an HHO generator that will separate the two elements of hydrogen and oxygen; and HHO cells which will finally convert the separated elements into energy (hydroxyl gas.)

The actual process is the following:

1. Water is introduced to the water reservoir. Usually, there is a particular ratio (depending on many factors like: car make, engine make, and other additional engine components) as to how much water should be added for an amount of gas. Let us just say that for this particular example we will have 1:10 ratio, where 1 is the gas liter and 10 is the water liter.

2. The generator creates an electric spark that eventually heats up the water as it flow from the reservoir to HHO cells. The cells in turn separate the elements of water: hydrogen and oxygen.

3. Oxygen is released as a by product of this process which is less toxic than most fuel emissions.

4. Hydrogen is also a gaseous element which is then mixed with the small amount of gas in the tank. This can be done through the installation of vacuum tubes from the hydrogen producing cells to the actual car engine. The resulting hydrogen-water mixture has enough power to run the car or any light vehicle for a period of time.<bio>hhoshop.com offers more information about EFIE Devices as well as Vehicle HHO Generators.
Hydrogen has been shown to be a great potential resource for an alternative fuel. To fuel a hydrogen cell you just need water a readily available resource.. You just need to convert water to its parts and you have the fuel you are looking for to run your car.. Originally proposed by scientist Nikola Tesla there are rumors it was suppressed for political reasons. Despite the fact that it is now seen as a new technology it has been proposed for quite some time..

A hydrogen cell can increase your gas mileage significantly..Combining hydrogen with your current fuel allows you to get 50% or more mileage from the same amount of fuel.

This works because hydrogen gets used at very close to 100% efficiency. Compare that with the normal 20% or so of the average fossil fuel. Combined the hydrogen allows the fossil fuel to burn more efficiently and with much less pollution due to the increased efficiency.

Now just to keep you from being confused here are a few definitions to help you. "Hydrogen fuel cells" is a term that applies to a system that breaks down water into the base elements allowing you to run a car on water..All of these terms stand for the same process as a hydrogen cell - hydrogen oxygen converter, hydrogen generator, hydroxy gas, HHO, Brown's gas, and hydrogen converter.

All of these systems do the same thing. You put together a simple hydrogen conversion system (a glass jar, a couple of engine hoses, a fuse, mounted to feed into the existing fuel system etc.). and then add this to your gas or diesel engine and combine it with your existing fuel source.

This system removes the hydrogen and oxygen from water and into their initial elements and you add the two of them to your existing fuel source. Combine this with your existing fuel source and your fuel will now burn more efficiently.

Adding the hydrogen and oxygen to the system causes your current fuel to burn much more efficiently. This creates more power from the same amount of fuel simply due to the efficiency.

You gain not only fuel savings but because of the increase in efficiency you are running a cleaner engine with more power for a smoother ride especially under load. This also means less pollution comes out of the tail pipe.

You can easily create a hydrogen cell with parts you can find at your local hardware store. If you are not mechanical you can have your favorite mechanic add this for you quite easily.

There are numerous videos available that show the positive results people are getting using this technology. In South Carolina a small town converted all of their police cars to this technology and it was reported on station WYFF News 4. This technology does work now and has been proved out.

Converting your car to use a hydrogen cell is extremely easy. There are step by step guides to show you exactly how to do this. It can be bolted on to your existing engine with just a few blots and easily removed if you decide it is not for you.<bio>Get more nformation on how you can easily add a hydrogen cell to your vehicle at Water Fuel Expert</bio>

What is a hydrogen generator? It's a gizmo that will make you car burn water and cut your gas bill in half. Sounds amazing? If you can learn to build hydrogen generators, you can stop worrying about the price of gas and focus on other things to spend your money on. Wouldn't that be nice? You will need a good set of plans and about half a day to build and install a hydrogen generator but the rewards are well worth it.

The high price of gas has many people wondering what they are going to do in the coming months or even years. You should do something now to get your car to use less fuel. This is a very effective way to save money while helping the environment. Get your car converted to burn less fuel and be a step ahead of the crowd. It's not hard to do, and the parts can be easily bought for a weekend project.

Water is full of energy. What you have to do is harness that energy. Water has to be broken down into its basic elements for this theory to work. The basic elements of water are hydrogen and oxygen. Pure hydrogen will power your car, but it is very expensive to mass produce and you don't necessarily need it to power your car.

Yull Brown discovered a substance called brown's gas, commonly known as HHO. This process separates water into two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. This is done by using a small amount of electricity from your car battery. This mix is then injected into your engine and is combined with the gas you already use which results in a 35% increase in fuel efficiency and performance as soon as it is installed. This process is referred to as electrolysis.

Your car only burns a portion of the fuel that is pumped into it; some of it evaporates, and even more either escapes through the tailpipe or is burnt by the cataleptic converter, which was designed to help prevent pollution. It is estimated that around 80% of your fuel is wasted through your exhaust system. If you can learn to how to build a hydrogen generator for your car, you can help stop this waste and buy less gas at the pump and also improve your car's performance.

Building water fuel cells for cars is not as difficult as some people think, especially when you have the plans to do it with. Learn how to get the energy you need from water and stop padding the pockets of the big oil companies. Almost anyone can build one of these and install it in their car. Remember, the parts are easy to find and can be bought at most hardware stores. Building water fuel cells is a quick procedure that should only take several hours. In an internal combustion automotive engine, gasoline or hydrogen can be used in a dual-fuel system that will suffice until a widespread hydrogen infrastructure can be built. These dual fuel cell systems are much like the electric hybrids like Toyato's Prius, yet they use hydrogen rather than electricity to supplement the gasoline.

In the long-term, with an infrastructure in place, hydrogen-on-demand vehicles can use either a hydrogen compound for internal combustion, or a fuel cell can create electro-mechanical energy and water. A fuel cell isn't as complicated as a conventional gas or diesel engine and isn't subject to high temperatures, corrosion or some of the structural weaknesses found in other types of engines. This affords a flexibility and durability for Hydrogen fuel cells. Hydrogen is processed through the fuel cell and combined with oxygen to create electricity. This newly formed energy is sent to pistons to propel the car forward (or reverse if you like). These fuel cell cars promise zero emissions and pollutants, with the only tailpipe emission being water vapor. Fuel-Cells are basically a combination of a battery and an engine making them a very unique advancement in car propulsion systems. Every year more and more efficient fuel cells are churned out by engineers and factories propelling the hydrogen car possibilities forward. Fuel-Cell conventions and conglomerates abound and with more and more government grants focusing on Fuel-Cell and Hydrogen Car development, the future continues to get brighter for Hydrogen Fuel-Cell cars.

While there is concern that putting hydrogen fuel cell cars on the road is as bad of an idea as was the ill-fated Hindenburg, experts say the two aren't related, and recent advances in car technology include development of safe, on-board hydrogen storage systems.
Infrastructure and hydrogen highways.

If you're not familiar with the term, a hydrogen highway is a chain of hydrogen-equipped filling stations along a road. What will it take to make it happen? Norway started the HyNor Project in 2006; Japan has several stations, as does Germany, and California now reports having 25 stations in place from San Diego to Sacramento. All of these stations will add to a momentum of change and will hopefully give rise to a new determination to improve on present Hydrogen powered vehicle prototypes in order to begin to switch our fleet of petroleum based cars. The Hydrogen car will arrive even if it takes time: The future is now.<bio>Andrew Beckers writes about subjects important to everyone.
It's obvious to anyone who regularly drives nowadays that gas prices have been increasing a great deal over the past decade. Some people don't even recall when gas was less than $2 per gallon, even though it actually used to be less than $1 per gallon. Now, it's up to $3 and $4 in some places. Even so, people need to drive places, and working wages don't necessarily compensate for rising gas prices, so something has to be done to compensate on your own for the gas fluctuations. In fact, there is -- there's a method to increase the fuel efficiency of your car by anywhere from 15 - 50%; that method is car water power, otherwise known is hydrogen generators.

This is done by using hydrogen generators, or HHO cells. They basically take a container of water, charge it with an electric current and strip the water down to its constituent elements of hydrogen and oxygen. What this does is it allows for hydrogen, a pretty volatile element, to be sent into the fuel combustion chamber of the engine of your car. Little hydrogen gas is needed to produce a respectable amount of energy. There's also the added advantage of it being a good deal cleaner to use than pure gasoline. The best way to use HHO cells is to have multiple containers situated; that way you have more to draw from and they'll last longer.

Hydrogen fuel can't completely replace gasoline yet -- you'd need too much room in the car and water would weigh the car itself down and outstrip the benefits of increased efficiency by giving it more weight to carry. You should have at least one or two containers though, as this will be sufficient for most driving needs. Hydrogen fuel power isn't advanced enough yet to make it a long-term fuel source. A practice is to keep your engine maintained. Even with HHO fuel cells, your engine is still going to accumulate some residue, though not nearly as much as normal. This can be helped if you add a condenser.

If you do decide to go the do-it-yourself route, be sure that whatever HHO kit you buy has a complete manual, and online or phone support for help should you need to verify you did everything correctly. The possibility of an accident coming from a spark setting off a bit of the oxygen in the water is, needless to say, very undesirable. The instructions to build the converter also need to be concise --the process isn't really difficult, but it's more complicated than simply attaching a few hoses and wires here and there. Make sure you've got all the support and advice you will need for the entire process.

Also, should you decide to remove the HHO cells from your car, it's easy to do with no damage or change to your car's workings. People have voiced concerns about tampering with the fuel capabilities of a car voiding its warranty, but it won't bother the warranty to add an HHO cell to add more fuel efficiency. Some people who add an HHO cell will find that they only have to buy about half as much gas at the pump. So what are you waiting for?
Alternative energy vehicles are quickly becoming more popular among consumers. Soaring fuel prices have triggered a wave of price increases. Amidst inflation and a higher cost of living, rising fuel prices have hit the wallets of motorists hard, especially as the US economy enters a recession. As consumers look for alternative energy vehicles to ease their fuel prices, hydrogen cars are quickly becoming popular. Let's examine why hydrogen cars should be considered as an alternative to traditional petrol based cars.

As the name suggest, hydrogen cars use hydrogen instead of petrol. Hydrogen is a renewable resource and it burns more cleanly compared to petrol. Hydrogen fuel cells are one of the most popular alternative forms of renewable energy that is being championed by scientist and environmentalists. Even though hydrogen fuel cells have been criticized as being an infeasible, long-term solution for the energy crisis, it is currently one of the most heavily supported initiatives for energy alternatives in the US. The US Government has already initiated plans for hydrogen fuel cells to become mass produced and the automotive industry in responding in kind.

As a result, hydrogen cars are the most pervasive form of alternative energy vehicles commercially available in the US. This means that consumers currently have more options when purchasing a hydrogen car as opposed to other alternatives, such as an electric car.

Hydrogen as is cheaper than gas or diesel. To further compound the financial savings, hydrogen cars are also designed to have better mileage compared to their gas guzzling counterparts. This results in huge savings on fuel. This is especially so for motorists who commute frequently. Advances in technology will allow scientist to squeeze even greater mileage out of hydrogen in time to come. Some are predicting that fuel prices for hydrogen cars will be up to half the amount currently being spent now. Others are predicting that this technology will allow fuel prices to revert to levels not seen since the 1960s and 70s.

If these savings don't provide enough incentives to make the switch to alternative energy, keep in mind that the US government is also providing tax rebates for hybrid cars.

Unfortunately, there are several drawbacks to hydrogen cars. Hydrogen cars are currently expensive. The technology is still new and scientists are still trying to develop cost effective ways to manufacture hydrogen fuel cells. Many gas stations are also not equipped with hydrogen pumps, and this can make refueling troublesome.

Fuel prices have been reaching record levels. This comes at a time when the US economy is particularly weak. There has never been a better time to consider an alternative energy vehicle in order to save money and the environment. Fortunately, several options are available. Hydrogen cars and electric cars are just some of the options consumers can consider. Various home conversion kits are also available that will allow you to run your car on a mixture of gas and water. But regardless of which alternative energy source you choose to support, freeing yourself from the dependency of gas is guaranteed to save you money.<bio>Click Here to learn how to run your car on water today.
Hydrogen engines may be powering automotive vehicles in the near future. Major car manufacturers have already begun research on hydrogen engines and several manufacturers have already released cars that use hydrogen engines. Hybrid cars that run on both petrol and hydrogen are currently being used by some consumers.

Unfortunately, there are many alternatives in the area of alternative energy engines. Electric cars and water/petrol hybrid modifications are some of the other options. Before you switch to a vehicle that uses a hydrogen engine, it's important to examine the pros and cons of hydrogen engines.

There are many advantages of using a hydrogen engine as opposed to a petrol combustion engine. There are two kinds of hydrogen engines, one that is combustion based and the other relies on electromechanical conversion by using a fuel cell. Combustion engines are currently cheaper compared to electromechanical conversion. Hybrid engines are combustion engines that can either use regular petrol or hydrogen in powering the vehicle.

Hydrogen engines are comparable to regular petrol engines when it comes to power and performance. There are negligible differences when these engines are used in family cars. Several traditionalists have stated that hydrogen engines are not powerful enough to meet the requirements of high performance cars; however this statement has been largely disputed.

Most people who drive cars that use hydrogen engines are unable to notice any notable differences between hydrogen cars and petrol cars. Hydrogen powered cars can be as smooth and powerful as petrol powered cars.

However, there are several drawbacks in using a hydrogen vehicle. Hydrogen is not a staple fuel source, and hydrogen pumps have not been installed in all gas stations. Even though hydrogen is competitively priced, prices have been slow to fall as the hydrogen industry has yet to mature and achieve economies of scale that could greatly lower the price of hydrogen.

Hydrogen fuel cells are also expensive and fragile. Rare metals are used in the construction of hydrogen fuel cells. Scientists are trying to produce hydrogen fuel cells using common metals, but until they do, hydrogen fuel cells will remain costly to produce. Fuel cells can also be fragile and ill-equipped in handling the vibrations and bumps of daily travel. Hydrogen fuel cells also have difficulty operating in cold weather, thus rendering them unreliable in cold weather conditions.

Hydrogen engines have been touted as a long-term solution to the ongoing energy crisis. Hydrogen is a renewable resource and it burns cleanly, making it a financially viable, environmentally-friendly energy resource. Unfortunately, there are also many drawbacks to using a vehicle that runs solely on hydrogen. Before you purchase a hydrogen powered vehicle, it is important to weigh the pros and cons, especially since the technology for hydrogen engines is still in its infancy.

Fortunately, there are many alternatives to hydrogen engines that are equally compelling. Consumers and motorists have developed a high dependency on petrol. If you're anxious to save the environment and your money, you can consider alternatives, such as electric cars, or water/petrol hybrid home conversion kits.<bio>Click Here to learn how to run your car on water today.
When you have your nitro fuel ready for your RC car, the next thing you need to know is how to keep it in proper storage. But when you have already decided the blend of fuel you want to use for your car's engine, it's also important to make sure that the fuel you have selected is working properly or in other words, easily tunes your car. If it doesn't do that or if for some reason there are problems in running your car, don't even think twice in changing the fuel.

On with what should be done for nitro fuels. It's advisable to always keep the fuel in lock tight containers. A good explanation for this is evaporation. The reason is because when the air gets in the container, it'll cause evaporation or condensation which could ruin the fuel. When this happens, the damage on your engine's car could cause you your exhaust systems since the engine will run too hot.

Also, avoid storing your fuel in a room where temperature varies almost constantly. This will still damage the fuel and since it's advisable to maintain the normal state of your fuel, be sure that it doesn't shift to hot and then cold and hot again every other hour when it comes to room temperature.

Another factor important for fuel storage is the light. You have to make sure that you keep your fuel away from the light. If you expose your fuel to direct sunlight or in a bright room, the nitro methane ingredient in the fuel will degrade and this will cause poor running condition of your RC car later on when put in use. Be sure that you keep the fuel in a cool, dark place with stable temperature.

And of course, when you have been keeping fuel for more than a year or more than a year, it's better to dispose it. Using fuel kept for an indefinite time may cause harm to your car's engine and the guarantees offered by manufacturers would have surely lapsed already so there's no point in keeping an old fuel. Make sure you replace yours regularly. <bio>Make sure that you're geared up with all the important information regarding RC cars.
Solar energy is a renewable source of energy, and has become quite common in areas that have a dependable number of days of sunshine such as California and Arizona. Solar heat collectors can be seen on roofs all over the Southwest of America.

There are many ways to use the sun to generate renewable energy. These can include the generation of electricity through photovoltaic solar cells, the generation of electricity through a concentration of solar power, or the generation of electricity by turbines and a solar updraft tower which traps heated air and thus rotates the turbines.

Solar renewable energy can heat many dwellings and other commercial buildings through a passive solar design. It can heat food with the use of a solar oven, and heat air or water for hot water or heating space with the thermal panels we mentioned earlier. Solar chimneys are also another means of heating and cooling air.

Another renewable energy resource is bio matter, which produces bio fuel. Plants are one example of bio fuel sources. Sugar can give off bio diesel, bagasse and ethanol. These can be burned in boilers or internal combustion engines. The typical method is to burn the bio fuel, thus releasing its chemical energy. Researchers are strenuously working on other ways of converting these bio fuels into electricity, perhaps through such as fuel cells.

Liquid bio fuel is composed of either bio alcohol ethanol is one example or bio oil. Vegetable oil and bio diesel are two examples of the this type of fuel. Bio diesel is used in diesel engines and doesnt require much if any modification to the engine for that to happen. It can be devised from animal and virgin vegetable oil, from waste and from fats also referred to as lipids. Not only can you use virgin vegetable oil in a diesel engine but these engines were actually first designed to run not on fossil fuel but on vegetable oil.

The primary benefit of using renewable bio diesel energy is that its emissions are considerably lower. Carbon monoxide and other harmful hydrocarbon emissions are reduced by 20-40 percent with bio diesel energy. There are areas where farmers grow corn, sugar beets, switch grass, sugar cane and corn stalk for the express purpose of providing energy for fuel cells and combustion engines. These products produce ethanol, otherwise known as grain alcohol, which is becoming more and more common an automotive fuel resource. E85, an automotive fuel, is made up of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. It is now being sold to the general public.

Future plans, or at least future hopes, for renewable energy include biosynthetic liquid fuel to run our vehicles. The process that would manufacture this would more than likely be a biomass-to-liquid production method, which is also known as Fischer-Tropsch processing, after its founders.

Sugar cane is actually a direct renewable bio fuel energy resource, too. Either the crop is grown specifically for combustion or it is used for other things and the waste that comes from the plant, after processing, is then used for combustion. <bio>James Copper is a writer for http://www.newcareerskills.co.uk/domestic-energy-assessor-training.htm </bio>

With gas prices crossing limits people are continuously on the look out for some trick which will save their hard earned money. The Internet is choked with articles which will tell you that "you can" save money by spending less on gas but literally none will talk about "what exactly" one should do to save their precious bucks. At the end of the day what you find is a big hole in your pocket which forces you to start using public transportation (even though it isn't comfortable) and convert your car into a "once in a week vehicle to enjoy on weekends".

HHO Shop is a gold mine of information related to HHO gas, Electronic Fuel Injector Enhancers (EFIE), and fuel economy booster tips. In a nutshell, HHO Shop is the place to be if you actually want to save your hard-earned bucks and spend less on money-eating gas. By now, almost everyone has heard of HHO gas. Which allows people to enhance their car's performance by using water. Surprised? Believe it!

To run your car using water all you have to do is take electricity from your car's battery and then separate it into gas know as HHO. This gas will burn (as has been proved in research) and will supply the required energy for your machine to run more efficiently. HHO is made up of the atomic power of hydrogen gas but it also has the stability which water has hence giving HHO the safe as well as the effective tags all ready to run your car with less money being spent.

Here is the glimpse of advantages if you use HHO for your car. Statistics have proved that you save up to 60% of the money which you were investing on normal gas. No other alternative will prove to be such an effective fuel economy booster. On the other hand, using water for your car increases your car's life, reduces the harmful emission, and increases horse power of your favorite machine. Another added advantage is the recognition which you might get from your friends for using environmental friendly fuel alongside standard automobile fuel. It is a win-win deal for you as well as the people around you.

Electronic Fuel Injection Enhancer (EFIE) is a fuel efficiency device which might give you the gain of couple units once you start using it. The best advantage of EFIE can be observed when it is used with some fuel efficiency system. The reason being your car isn't designed to use innovative fuels like HHO. Hence the car might start using extra fuel to bring back the air/fuel ration of the engine back to normal. This is where the EFIE comes in the scene. It fools the car's computer, therefor your car just won't know that you have started to use some other fuel for combustion along side of normal gas.

This was just a glimpse of the information which HHO Shop can provide for you.
It isn't clear where current energy trends are going. Perhaps they may stabilize or as more and more people suggest the days of the carbon fuel fuel economy are quickly being done away with. Without CO2 based propulsion, researchers, businessmen, and engineers are on the look out for the next universal fuel. This fuel will be the first fuel in the age of the "clean fuel." Clean fuel refers to a non CO2 based fuel, which is renewable. The problem so far is that a universal fuel has yet to be found. Here are some of the possibilities:

1. Solar
2. Wind
3. Electric
4. Air
5. Hydrogen

Solar Cars have long been the source of hope for green energy enthusiasts, mainly because the fuel is...free. The problem is that an efficient prototype available for mass markets has yet to be fully developed. There are some universities and other engineers working on workable solar car prototypes, but these prototypes have been relegated to the sphere of university projects despite the advances.

Wind energy may not seem to be a good propulsion system for a car, but it is however a great source of primary energy to infuse the electric grid with. Wind Energy is a solid clean energy instead of carbon derived fuel, which is juicing up the grid now. This will truly move us into a purely clean fuel society.

Electric Cars are not only a reality, but they are beginning to take the world by storm. Starting with Tesla and now others are beginning to jump on the band wagon. The sticking points in preventing mass consumption of electric cars have been a proper infrastructure to support the integration of electric stations and other support. This has begun to change recently as more and more smaller countries have begun to lay the foundations for turning over their carbon infrastructure to an electric one.

Air Cars are another burgeoning possibility that has become very real in the last few years. They essentially work off of compressed air. The is released slowly, whose energy puts pressure on the pistons to propel the car. Air Cars are almost ready for the consumer market and when they are, they are assured of success.

Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Cars have been around for a while, yet their technology has gotten to the point where they're actually ready for the consumer market. Fuel-Cells are essentially a combination between an engine and a battery. Hydrogen is converted into energy using ions in the fuel cell. The energy is then used to power the vehicle. As with other clean fuels, hydrogen has a way to go since it lacks an infrastructure for refueling. Despite this, countries have been pushing forward with incentives and plans to build hydrogen stations. California has already done this as well as other areas of the world.

Its not clear yet which clean fuel will be accepted as universal. Perhaps there won't be a clear universal clean fuel, but rather a serious of choices built around regional and geographical situations.<bio>Andrew Beckers writes about information important to all of us.
The rising cost of fuel has forced the automotive industry to look into alternate sources to save fuel. Water is the best method to save fuel. Cars running on water uses water as a key source of fuel. Scientists believe that energy from water is the best substitute for automobiles.

The key component in this technology is water. The combination of oxygen and hydrogen produces water. Combination of oxygen and hydrogen is oxyhydrogen. Disadvantages of oxyhydrogen are:

1. The chemical combination of oxyhydrogen is completely different from water.
2. It exists in vapor form only at room temperature.

Process Involved:

The chemical produced through water is used as fuel in automobiles. The process to extract fuel from water is Electrolysis. Several industries are making use of this process to weld metal and glass. This process has become very popular because of its efficiency. When you mix oxyhydrogen with normal gasoline, it provides more energy and increases mileage. To run vehicles, you need a combination of water and vehicle fuel.

To reduce the fuel needed in cars, use of oxyhydrogen with normal fuel is an alternate method. Alternate methods reduce 50 percent of car energy costs. You need to be open to any alternate methods, as they can save fuel.

Next, running a car on water gives excellent results. It is a user-friendly method to use. You can switch between both vehicle fuel and water. The energy created makes the car run smoothly and efficiently. This alternate method helps the car in saving 80 percent of fuel on heat, pollution and vibration.

Drive water is another alternate method to save fuel. It uses car battery to separate water into a vapory form called HHO that is hydrogen in two parts and oxygen in one. Engines running on this fuel alternative method power themselves.

Types Of Alternate Methods And Its Uses:

Another substitute to save fuel is Zero emission gas. Fuel emission vehicles are produced by filling them with pure hydrogen. This substitute fuel saving method is used to power electric equipment.

Here, hydrogen has to be stored in its liquid form. Liquid hydrogen is very cold. The electricity generated from battery powers the motor of your vehicle. Fuel cells combine oxygen in the air with hydrogen to produce electricity.

Another alternate method is the use of methanol. There is no need to separate hydrogen from methanol, as fuel cell vehicles turn hydrogen and oxygen into electricity.

Its uses are:

1. It works on both gas and diesel powered cars.
2. More fuel efficiency.
3. It works on plain tap water

Combination of biomass and coal is Methanol. Methanol is also made of natural fuel, as it is cheaper. Methanol is poisonous and harmful to the skin. Methanol contains only one chemical, whereas gasoline contains many chemicals. The fire that breaks out due to Methanol is not viewable in bright sunlight. These are some of the disadvantages of Methanol. Experts say Methanol is good for fuel cell cars. Finally, Ethanol is also an alternate method to save fuel.<bio>Save on gas with a gas card and find more of Tom's work at FINDgascards.</bio>

Not everyone buys their cars based on the car fuel efficiency alone, but it would be safe to presume that it is one of the foremost considerations.

It is much more than a mere technical obsession. The running cost of the car, not to mention the maintenance aspect, depends solely on the car fuel efficiency.

One of the very first questions that car users ask each other is, "What is your car fuel efficiency?" And naturally! Everyone who drives a car is bound to be concerned about car fuel efficiency.

Most people whine and cry about their car fuel efficiency, but seldom do little else! People believe that it is the responsibility of the car manufacturer or the mechanic to keep the car performing at its optimum efficiency. But little do they realize that there is a whole lot that they themselves can do to ensure their car fuel efficiency.

If you drive on a very low gear for instance when a higher gear would work just as well, it is natural that the fuel efficiency will drop. So learning to understand the efficiency levels of driving and following them well will go a long way in ensuring car fuel efficiency.

For one thing, they can drive carefully and in accordance with the manual for efficiency. The car manual exists for a reason. And that is to ensure that the gear changes and the driving speeds work in tandem to give your car the maximum fuel efficiency.

Another way to increase the fuel efficiency is to use the air conditioning in the car only when it is absolutely critical. This way, not only can you make your car go longer on lesser fuel, but you can also ensure that your battery life is enhanced.

So remember to drive with your windows open for the purpose of ventilation rather than close all windows and set the air conditioning on full blast. It is a matter of dollars and sense!

Still another way to ensure that your car is fuel efficient is to ensure that you have filled your tires to the optimum level. If your tires are not filled with enough air, the friction levels increase dramatically.

When this happens, it takes more power for the car to move the same distance than say, when the tires are filled to the optimum level and make the car travel along smoother. Although this is clearly specified in the manual, not many people pay heed to it. Following these simple steps will surely increase your car fuel efficiency. <bio>Learn how to increase your car fuel efficiency. http://carfuelefficiency.info/ </bio>

Forget about the old days when getting gas for your car was no problem at all. Lousy eight cylinder limos were the craze, no matter what big gas guzzlers these monsters were. Today their place has been taken over by the SUV and they are no small gas consumers either. If you think you are getting 40 miles to a gallon, you must be mad. The maximum that these wide-bodied thick tired vehicles are capable of is actually half of that. Still, people are crazy about the SUV for the mere look of affluence linked to these super models, ignoring the car fuel efficiency part of it. But today gasoline costs around 3.10 per gallon and the way these automobiles drink it down, there really seems to be no tomorrow. With skyrocketing fuel prices all over the States, SUV need not be the prudent choice for the average family yet the trend shows little decline in sales.

If car fuel efficiency is the key word for choosing an automobile, what would you prefer -- a six -cylinder affair or a four-cylinder jukebox would do. Obviously, the smaller the number of cylinders, better the mileage. Also, lighter the body, lesser the fuel consumption. But why the heck is fuel costing so much these days? Of course war is raging in the middle-east that produces most of the fuel the world consumes, but I was told that 80% of the fuel consumed in the USA comes from Canada. Then should we wage a war against them? I am really confused.

Japan, as I was told, is soon becoming a world leader in car manufacturing has now turned its head from making comfortable cars to economy models, car fuel efficiency being of topmost concern. Japanese engineers have done away with the age-old carburetor system for mixing air with fuel and have replaced it with a newer device that consumes lesser fuel. Also available in the market are a newer brand of hybrid cars, valued for their reported car fuel efficiency.

Another approach on the subject of car fuel efficiency is aimed at running vehicles with LPG (light petroleum gas). Cutting out the risk of sudden fire, in case of a gas leak, the LPG run vehicles are cleaner, pollution-free and may be termed as a model of car fuel efficiency. Let us see what the future holds for us in matters relating to car fuel efficiency -- the battery-cum fuel operated car? <bio>For more tips on cars, turcks, and fuel consumption check out our website at http://www.allvehicleinfo.com/ </bio>

As fuel prices continue to rise, alternative fuel cars will continue to be a popular topic of discussion. There are many alternative fuel cars available on the market today including ethanol based fuel produced from corn and bio-diesel vehicles that can run on the same oil used to make your French fries at McDonalds, but most of the alternative fuel cars on the market today are being marketed as hybrid cars.

Hybrid cars are alternative fuel cars, because they combine an electric power source with a fuel source to better a vehicles gas mileage. Alternative fuel cars have been around since about the same time as the invention of the car, but the market leaned heavily toward fuel only vehicles, because of the power and speed they were able produce. Previously the hybrid alternative fuel cars would only get up to speeds of around 25 miles per hour and the time it would take was around 10 minutes to get there.

The automotive industry is investing a lot of money into alternative fuel cars due to the rising costs in fuel and the increased pollution caused by common vehicles. The technology of hybrid alternative fuel cars has become very complex and each manufacturer uses the hybrid portion a little differently on each car. Some hybrid alternative fuel cars use the electric portion to provide an extra boost to the cars engine while running or when starting the car. Other hybrid alternative fuel cars use the electric portion to shut part of the gas motor down if it is not necessary to use it.

The more recent hybrid alternative fuel vehicles, such as the Honda Civic hybrid, still had drawbacks due to the minimal power they had available, but some of the newer hybrid vehicles on today's market including the V6 Honda Accord offer power and fuel saving with a higher mile per gallon ratio.

Being able to maintain power and increase gas mileage is a large focus of the automotive industry in being able to manufacture better hybrid alternative fuel cars. The hybrid line is also carrying over into trucks. Hybrid trucks offer a slightly higher gas mileage without the loss of power and also offer an electrical source for power tools right from the truck.

The future of hybrid alternative fuel cars is unknown, but there is a high potential that the fuel source most commonly used (gasoline) will be eliminated to make room for lower costing products and more readily available products. The future hybrid alternative fuel cars will potentially be able to get even better gas mileage and power and they will reduce the pollution produced.

The starting price for alternative fuel cars is around $20,000. The demand for alternative fuel cars is high, but the production of them has not caught up with common vehicles, which has kept the price up. In the US, the government offers a tax incentive if an alternative fuel car is purchased and is also investing money into alternative fuel cars. Alternative fuel cars will continue to be a popular topic for anyone who commutes and they will continue to evolve for years to come. <bio>For more information on hybrid cars and alternative fuels, visit http://www.alternative-fuel-car.com..
At present, people have started complaining on the skyrocketing gas price and are finding difficult to pay for it.

The introduction of gas discount cards acted as a boon for auto users, as they have made them to purchase auto fuel at an affordable price. Certainly, this is also a good way to save some dollars toward your auto monthly budget. But, the main question is where to get these types of credit cards?

Ideal Ways to Get Discount Gas Cards:

You can simply browse the Internet to find these types of cards, since the Internet has plenty of information regarding these cards such as their providers, availability and rates. In addition, you will find many web sites on the Internet that show how much money you can save by these cards. Indeed, a few miles can create big difference, when it comes to fuel price per gallon.

When you come across any web site offering such discount cards, do not apply for it immediately. First, pay heed to the terms and conditions of such cards and then ask local auto fuel retailers about the validity of such cards at their fuel stations.

Some fuel stations even offer cheaper fuel cards, when a customer buys such cards through their membership fees. To fill up your vehicle at these fuel stations, just buy membership plans from them. At times, these membership plans compensate you in the long-term in the form of savings.

The ideal way to save on fuel is to buy gas credit cards. Numerous credit card companies offer such credit cards to help save some dollars on fuel purchase. Rebate credit cards for fuel allow you to save around 5% per gallon. Even though, this may seem a bit little, but adds to huge savings in the long run.

Other Ways:

If you stay in a central locality, where fuel price is expensive, change your fuel filling station. Ensure that fuel prices in your neighborhood areas are within the set budget, before filling up your vehicle's tank. It is wise to visit some poorer areas for buying fuel. The idea to target poorer areas is to find those areas having cheaper fuel prices due to less property tax and other excises.

When it comes to fuel savings, make use of your imagination. Below are some fruitful ways to save on fuel:

1.Local fuel price wars, in which, owners of various fuel stations compete with one another by reducing fuel prices at their respective fuel stations.

2.Cash only at those fuel stations, where you can purchase fuel at an affordable price. However, for this, you need to be a regular customer and all your payments at such a fuel station needs to be in cash.

3.Another ideal way is to look for coupons. At times, several auto fuel stations offer coupons to buy fuel at cheaper rate.

To sum up, there are plenty of ways to save on gasoline and to avoid paying heftily to fill your tank.<bio>Find a gas credit card and more of Tom's work at FINDgascards.</bio>

Flexible fuel vehicles are just like an average car in the sense that they use a single gas tank. But it can run on a mixture of gasoline and alcohol based fuel. Any car made after 1988 can run on a mixture of 10% ethanol and 90% gasoline. A flexible fuel vehicle can run on a mixture of up to 85% ethanol. Modifications are needed for this ratio as alcohol based fuels are corrosive.

Fuel tanks and engines must be modified in flexible fuel vehicles. In the US, there is a special indicator used that analyzes the ratio of the mix and adjusts itself accordingly to make sure that the fuel is burned clean. This is done by adjusting the timing and the fuel injection and happens automatically. Many flexible fuel vehicles are also required to use a special engine oil.

Why use ethanol?

Ethanol offers motorists an environmentally friendly alternative to using fossil based gasoline fuels, since ethanol is much more environmentally friendly and a renewable resource it seems to be an ideal alternative fuel for an environmentally friendly motorist. Studies show that using a mix of 10% ethanol reduces carbon monoxide levels by up to 17% , CO2 emissions by 4.2% and hydrogen emissions by up to 5%. By using a mixture of 85% ethanol greenhouse gas effects are reduced by up to 37%

What countries are using ethanol fuel?

There are three countries currently using ethanol in their vehicles - US, Brazil and Sweden.

* Brazil has been using ethanol mixtures in their fuel since the 1970's and it is required by law that all fuel mixes be at a ratio of 29-25% ethanol.

* Sweden is the only country that has flexible fuel vehicles in Europe, although there are plans to introduce fuel mixes of up to 85% in other European countries.

* US has many cars designed to run on 85% ethanol fuel mixes. These flexible fuel cars make up 4 million of the cars in the US, although less than 1% of these vehicles are currently running on a mixture of 85% ethanol.

The future of ethanol based fuels

At the moment the future of ethanol fuel mixtures seems a little bleak. Until the fuel companies can make the mixtures of gasoline and ethanol fuel mixes more efficient and provide a superior mileage, people will still continue using gasoline and small mixes of ethanol such as a 10% ratio. Once this obstacle has been corrected, ethanol will be more widely used in flexible fuel vehicles.

There is potential for future growth in the ethanol industry. Last year an energy bill was created that is calling for refiners to begin using more renewable fuels. The national ethanol industry currently produces more than 4 billion gallons of ethanol fuel per year with more plants being built all the time. The ethanol industry is definitely set to sky-rocket in coming years. <bio>Simon Oldmann is an avid writer and a green activist, he has been writing about Ethanol use since the growing popularity of Ethanol these days, Simon writes for http://ethanol.zupatips.com at http://ZupaTips.com. </bio>
