Norwegian offers thirteen restaurants on a single ship. Your cuisine choices range from sushi and Italian to pizza and buffets. You get to dine at any restaurant of your choice. And room service is available around the clock.

Freestyle Activities involves unscheduled fun. You can try your hand at yoga or bowling. You can learn kick-boxing or practice your karaoke. Like sports contests? Join a volleyball or basketball tournament. If you decide to go ashore, you can go snorkeling or learn to surf. You can sign up for scuba or kayak lessons. Many passengers enjoy the wine tasting and cooking demonstrations. Looking for something unique? Try your hand at ice carving or vegetable carving. You can also partake in the on board gambling activities or attend a show.

Freestyle Service is a hallmark of Norwegian Cruise Lines. They have superb service and more staff than other cruise lines. There is approximately one crew member for each stateroom. As a result, you are pampered the minute you step on board. With Freestyle Gratuities, service charges are included in your account so you don't have to worry about tipping throughout your trip. The service charge is then shared among the crew. You can tip extra if you want. If you don't, you don't have to worry about it.

Norwegian has an agreement with Mandara Spa. The resort spa offers state-of-the-art spa treatments including lomi-lomi style massage, hot stones, and reflexology. The "Mandara" massage is the spa's signature treatment and involves two therapists massaging you simultaneously.

Another unique feature of Norwegian Cruise Lines is its Dive In Program. This program includes snorkeling lessons provided by licensed instructors. You can snorkel with stingrays or explore underwater coral gardens. You can also take scuba lessons.

Norwegian Cruise Lines has special programs for children and teenagers. These programs allow you to enjoy time to yourself while your kids participate in age-appropriate experiences as well. Youth counselors are on board to organize crafts, sports, and games for the kids. They participate in t-shirt painting and cooking classes.
When buying snowboarding equipment the first item on most minds is the snowboard. So what are the basic 'need to knows' of the snowboard types?

Types of Snowboard:

There are three types of snowboard to consider: Freestyle, Freeride(all mountain) and Alpine (carving boards).

Freestyle Snowboards

These are wide, stable snowboards that are forgiving to ride. They are very responsive which makes them good equipment used for snowboarding for novices. The snowboard characteristics make them good for pulling tricks but less responsive in high speed carving due to flexibility and edge grip. They are often twin tipped and multi directional making them good for tricks and half pipes but ideal for beginners.

Freeride(all mountain)Snowboards

Generally the most popular snowboard on the slopes. Good for all mountain use, park or half pipe. Freeride snowboards tend to float reasonably well on powder, can carve and can be used to catch air, this make them popular boards. Freeride snowboards tend to be directional, meaning one end (the tip) is wider than the tail. They tend to be soft and manouveurable for beginners but offer enough stiffness for fast carves in harder snow, these boards offer a mix of characteristics between freestyle and alpine snowboards.

Alpine Snowboards

definitely not for the novice, these snowboards are stiff, narrow, long and built for speed. Built for speed carving and stability at speed with good edge holding powers they tend to be either symmetrical or asymmetrical but always built for one way travel.

Length and Width of Snowboard

Once you have chosen the type of snowboard that best suits your level of competence and ride style there are then several other factors to be considered in your choice of snowboard before buying.

Your height and foot size play an important part in your choice of snowboard.

The length of snowboard that will suit will be down to the riders height and ridestyle. Snowboards are usually 100cms to 180cms long.

A freestyle snowboard should stand tall enough to reach between the riders shoulders and chin when stood on end.

A freeride snowboard should reach between chin and eyebrows.

An alpine or carving snowboard should stand tall enough to reach a point between the forehead and a few inches above the head.

Foot size is important for determining the width of the snowboard. If your feet overhang the board there is a danger of catching an edge and tumbling. If your feet are too small then it is difficult to apply pressure to the edges to initiate turns. If you are an advanced rider using a carving board with big feet it may be necessary to alter your stance to avoid overhanging the edges.

Of course before you buy equipment used for snowboarding you should rent a few snowboards first to see what style, brand best suit you. <bio>John Rodgers writes for http://www.snowboarding-picture.com </bio>

If there were anything more difficult than the transitions of the triathlon race then swimming would be it. Truly an endurance sport, swimming in triathlon races can actually dig the life out of you, especially when your body is not well adapted to the conditions that it requires.

You may have some basic backgrounds in swimming since it is known to be the most popular pastime sport Americans have. But you, when you're seriously into the game of triathlon then backgrounds are no longer enough to let you know the feeling of reaching the finish line.

Your triathlon training in swimming can cover all or most of the strokes. And you may choose to use them during the race, after all no one says that freestyle stroke is a guarantee to get through the swim stage. Nevertheless, as we might have observed most racers are comfortable with freestyle stroke because it provides speed.

But competitors, at one time or another, can be seen using different strokes for whatever purpose they deem necessary. The problem with this though is that they have to break the momentum and start with a new stroke over again once they gain their speed. Somehow, this creates the struggle and that is what we want to eliminate. You have to get through this junction as smoothly as you can be.

You can get this through training. If you cant cross the pool straight for now, you never have to worry since practice will always create more perfect ways to achieve what you first set your mind to achieve.

Swimming is not only an activity of endurance, it also requires you tons of patients to get the proper technique and strength. Thrice a week practice will do you best, other than that you may over-exhaust your self or lack training.

While the swim part is not actually the longest stage, it still garners the longest training to master. After all, swimming is nearly a hundred percent technical.

On the general view, swimming should not be taken as the speed game. You only have to get through it to be able to reach the 2nd and last lap. It must not tire you, it only has to warm you up. It will prepare your muscle to flex during the last two legs of the race. The trick lies in the efficient use of energy so there will be more for the run and the bike stages.

You can't expect to see yourself swim but you can trust an eye from a good trainer. He will show you the details of your flaws and will help you work on them. <bio>This content is provided by Low Jeremy. It may be used only in its entirety with all links included.
Skateboarding traces its roots to the seventies but it really reached the peak of its popularity in the mid-eighties to the present when major skateboard manufacturers propelled it to new heights. First, they started with half-pipe and vert ramp skateboarding. The manufacturers upgraded the boards to make their decks very wide and to equip them with larger and wider wheels.

As the years went by, the focus shifted to street skateboarding, which brought about a few changes in deck shape and wheel size. With the growing popularity of street skating, new stars rose to prominence, such as Mark Gonzales, one of street skating's pioneers. Gonzales is recognized as one of the first skateboarders to ollie up a curb and to clear a set of stairs. By this time, manufacturers had shifted their focus to maple plywood over more exotic composite materials. Concave decks were now everywhere.

Today's current generation of skateboarders usually ride on boards that are about 7 to 8 inches wide and 30 to 32 inches long. The wheels now are made with a hard durometer (approximately 99a), which provide a faster ride because it reduces the drag on surfaces that are hard. Wheels are now smaller and the boards are lighter, which makes it easier to make difficult tricks. Today's wheels are only about 48 to 58 mm in diameter and they are as light as they have ever been thanks to advances in skateboarding technology. Meanwhile, the majority of decks are made out of Canadian Maple and the industry standard is the 7 ply because of its increased strength and durability.

Historically, most keen observers of the sport note that the styles of skateboards changed a lot from the 1970s but have been mostly the same since the dawn of the nineties. The shape of today's contemporary skateboards assumes the design of freestyle boards from the eighties, with a symmetrical shape and a narrower width than previous skateboards.

These observers also note that the popularity of ramp or vert skatebaording was overtaken by street skateboarding in the nineties. With today's freestyle techniques, the practice of skateboarding has risen to new heights and new stars are emerging all the time. But throughout it all, the ollie has remained as the base of many of today's tricks. <bio>Kadence Buchanan writes articles for http://kidsandteenscentral.com/ - In addition, Kadence also writes articles for http://iwomensinterests.com/ and http://4homelife.net/ </bio>

Interested in snowboarding but haven't got a clue where to start or what gear you need? Have no fear, here are the essential items you need to begin your snowboarding adventure.

Snowboard

There are three basic types of snowboards, with each one varying in width and the shape of their tip and tail. Each type is geared for a different type of snowboarding. For most beginners, a freestyle board will be what you want to choose. A freestyle board offers an ease of use, handling and is generally easier to turn, all essential requirements for beginners.

Boots and Bindings

When trying on boots for snowboarding, make sure you select a pair that fits your feet as well as possible. Choose boots that are too loose and you won't get the control you need, choose boots that are too tight and you won't be comfortable. Don't skip this consideration. Also, your boots should keep your feet warm, so the cheapest option might not be the best option. Check the boots for a good amount of lining and cushioning. Next, you'll want to check the flexibility and control the boots will give you. Your boots need to flex properly to allow you to control the board speed and direction. If the boots are too stiff, you may not get the amount of control you need. According to the boot you choose, there will be a type of binding that goes with it. Be sure to try on and test the boots and bindings in the store before you make a purchase. Making your purchase at a store that has a generous return policy is also a good idea. That way you can return or exchange the boots if you find they aren't working for you.

Apparel

Obviously, it's going to be freezing out there in the snow. You'll want to choose apparel that keeps your body warm and dry but also allows you enough freedom of movement to enjoy yourself. In general, you'll want several layers including some long underwear or undershirt, then a cotton shirt above that, then a fleece pullover, then a thicker jacket over that for warmth and finally a waterproof jacket over that. Layering allows you to adjust for your own comfort and warmth as needed. You'll also want to choose some headwear, such as a helmet or beanie to prevent heat loss through your head.

Accessories

One of the most important accessories you'll want to have is a pair of snowboarding goggles. A good pair of goggles will protect your eyes from snow glare, the sun, snow and if you should veer off course, your eyes will be protected from that stray branch that hits you in the face. Other accessories that are also important include gloves, socks, sunblock, ear warmers, scarf and any safety accessories you may need, like wrist and knee guards.

Armed with this knowledge, you should be able to start your snowboarding adventure off with the right gear, safer and more efficiently. <bio>Lydia Quinn writes for PhatSportShades, a leading performance eyewear provider, offering snowboarding goggles.
If you're looking for a truck or SUV to explore the countryside, you're thinking two wheels too many. To get really close to nature, have a blast and keep in shape, grab a mountain bike and head for the hills.

The popular andquot;mountain bikeandquot; style was developed, as the name suggests, from bicycles designed for cruising up and down a mountain. Obviously racing down a mountainside can be a real adrenaline rush, but it can also be quite dangerous. Anyone actually considering taking on a mountain pass is advised to invest in a bike designed to accomplish such a task. With the right equipment and some common sense, mountain biking is a fun sport for the entire family.

Find your Style There are three basic styles of mountain biking: cross-country, freestyle, and downhill. Although the styles vary in many ways, each demands a great deal of skill. Choosing your personal riding style will determine the type of mountain bike you should buy. In other words, don't buy a heavy downhill bike if you plan on busting moves with your buddies. A lighter freestyle model is better suited for trick riding.

Hone your Skills Every great mountain biker needs endurance and stamina. It takes ambition and, sometimes, courage to be able to conquer nature's courses successfully. Like any sport, mountain biking also involves time and practice. Lots of practice. You can't expect to go from riding your bike around the block, to scaling rocky hills and maneuvering through winding trails. Anticipate getting a few bumps and bruises before you're ready to ride with the big kids.

Location, Location, Location Thinking of mountain biking as riding an unpaved surface. Your bike is ready to take you virtually anywhere you want to be, and many North American parks offer designated biking locations. Before hitting the trails in a park or conservatory, check for rules and regulations. There may even be trail maps available for you to bring along on your trek. Ask about local mountain biking clubs and group trail rides and competitions. You can easily find this information by asking at a local bike shop, checking the papers or searching online. Beginner to advanced groups are available, so be sure you're joining a club that matches your skill level.

Choose your Ride Once you've narrowed down your mountain biking style--cross-country, freestyle or downhill--the bike you select basically comes down to personal choice. There is a huge variety of makes and models on the market today. Compare styles, shapes and price. Be sure to consider the quality of the bike and the reliability of the manufacture, but don't be fooled into thinking the most expensive models are necessarily the best bikes. The Internet can be a great tool in shopping for a bike, as some compare quality, features and prices for you. When you find a bike you like, ask for a test drive. A great mountain biker needs to feel as one with his or her own bike. Check for a comfortable seat and position, and be sure that the brakes and gears are suited to you.

A mountain bike can be a big investment, so ask around and do your homework before you buy.

Keep it Safe Mountain biking on unpaved roads and through unexplored territories can be very dangerous. You literally do not know what's lying around the corner. Always wear a helmet, wherever you ride. Elbow and kneepads and riding gloves are also good choices to help keep you safe and comfortable, and goggles should be worn if you're riding in the woods or following a group. Finally, keep a few band-aids in your pack--just in case.

Whether you're riding across the county, or across the country, mountain biking is a great way to see the sights and stay in shape. Wear a helmet, proceed with caution and have fun! <bio>Barbara Miller writes for several web sites, including http://gymif.com and http://gemug.com </bio>

Ancient footbag

Evidence of games similar to footbag can be found throughout history in many different countries and cultures. Its roots can be traced back to games such Kemari (from Japan), Sepak Takraw (Malaysia) and Tsu Chu (China). These games often use their own individual sets of rules and a larger ball, but the basic premise of keeping a round object up in the air using all parts of the body except the arms and hands remains the same.

Modern footbag

The modern game of footbag was invented in 1972 in Oregon, USA by two men named John Stalberger and Mike Marshall. They gave their first footbags the trademarked name of `hacky sack' and proceeded to try (successfully) to spread their new sport across the United States and eventually the world. Although the name was sold to the Wham-O corporation in 1983, today the game of footbag is still known to many people as `hacky sack' or `hack'.

Footbag in 2007 remains true to its roots. The majority of players value sporting behaviour and there is a great sense of group participation at all levels of the sport. It is a way to meet new people as well as keeping fit and improving co-ordination and flexibility.

International competition

Official global footbag competition is monitored and supported by the International Footbag Players' Association (IFPA). The IFPA is a non-profit organisation which sponsor 20-30 competitions around the world every year and publishes the `Official Rules of Footbag Sports' where you can find full rules for various forms of the game.

Popular forms of footbag:

Footbag net As the name suggests, this game is played by teams of either one or two on a court divided equally in half by a net five feet above the ground. The court dimensions are officially set at 20 feet wide and 44 feet long with the court being split into four equal portions by the net and a centre line running at right angles to it.

Games are played to either 11 or 15 points, with the winning team required to be two points ahead to complete their victory. Players serve cross court from behind the service line and a point is won on serve if the opposing team fails to return the footbag within the allowed number of touches (two for singles, three for doubles).

Fouls are caused by a player touching the footbag more than once (singles) or twice (doubles) in a row, touching the net during play, stalling the footbag on purpose or impacting a player from the opposing team on their side of the court.

Moves often include a similar sequence to that found in volleyball, with a bump, set and spike used to return the footbag to the opposing side of the net. The spike is often a highly impressive move performed with the kicking player's foot stretched above the net.

Special footbags are often used for footbag net which are harder and more durable than standard freestyle footbags.

A full list of the official International Footbag Players' Association rules for footbag net can be found at: http://www.footbag.org/rules/chapter/300

Footbag freestyle This type of competition sees each player performing a routine of choreographed tricks, sometimes to music. They are scored by presentation, difficulty, variety, and execution.

The top players in the world can perform truly amazing sequences of advanced tricks. The winning routine from the 2006 World Footbag Championships performed by Vasek Klouda can be watched here: http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/10103

In a typical competition the judges will be the competitors themselves due to the high level of expertise required to evaluate certain tricks. This means that players must adhere to the values inherent within footbag from the street upwards, and be fair in their judgement and scoring.

A full list of the official International Footbag Players' Association rules for footbag freestyle can be found at: http://www.footbag.org/rules/chapter/500

Street freestyle The most common form of footbag. Players stand in a circle and pass the footbag from person to person, trying to ensure that it doesn't hit the floor whilst performing tricks when it is their turn to kick the bag. This is not an officially recognised competition form of footbag but is practised by almost all footbag players, whether world champions or complete beginners.

There are a loose set of rules which consist of: always serving to someone else in the circle, not apologising for dropping the footbag and never using the arms or hands (unless serving).

A more detailed look at street footbag along with a selection of basic moves can be found at: www.kemariworld.com/content/tricks <bio>Article by Footbag(AKA Hacky Sack) Supplier http://www.kemariworld.com </bio>

The origins of the modern sport of footbag (or Hacky Sack) can be seen in many games which existed in ancient cultures throughout the world. One of the oldest can be traced back to a game called Kemari, documented in Japanese literature around 1400 years ago. It was played by noblemen in a flat area surrounded by trees and the object of the game was to keep a small deerskin ball in the air for as long as possible without it touching the ground. In Kemari the ball is called the Mari and the one who kicks the ball the Mariashi, it is an extremely athletic activity and requires great flexibility and balance, especially if more complicated moves are to be performed. All parts of the body may be used to keep the Mari in the air except for the arms and hands. Kemari is still played today in Japan with the players wearing traditional costumes and often watched by large crowds.

Also still popular in the modern day is Sepak Takraw which is played throughout East Asia and is especially popular in Malaysia and Thailand. It uses a larger ball and is often played by two competing players over a net, with players awarded points for getting the takraw to hit the ground on the opponent's side of the court. This game was invented by the Malaysian Royal family around 500 years ago and has since spread right across Asia (known in the Philippines as Sipa, in Burma: Chinlone, in Laos: Kator and in Indonesia: Raga).

Other similar games that have disappeared over the ages are Tsu Chu (which originated in China and is thought to have influenced the development of Kemari), and a game played by Native American Indians involving kicking around a small pellet-filled animal hide bag.

The modern game of footbag was invented in 1972 by John Stalberger and Mike Marshall of Oregon in the USA. They came up with the name 'Hacky Sack' but also registered it as a trademark, hence the two different terms that are used to describe the sport today (footbag and Hacky Sack).

In its basic form footbag does not have winners, losers, or direct competition between players, making it somewhat unique among sports. Of course in footbag tournaments a competitive element has to be introduced and comes in two forms; footbag 'net' and footbag 'freestyle'. The first, as the name suggests, is played by kicking the footbag over a net in a game with rules similar to volleyball (and Sepak Takraw). The second allows a player a set amount of time (usually a couple of minutes) in which to perform a pre-scripted routine involving linking a series of tricks together, often to music. The world's best players can put together some incredible sequences which become an almost balletic art form as well as a competitive sport.

The International Footbag Committee (IFC) is the body responsible for overseeing international footbag competition and agreeing the rules of the sport (they publish a rule book and update it annually). The International Footbag Players' Association (IFPA) is the other large international footbag organisation, they are 'a non-profit public benefit organization dedicated to the growth of footbag play world-wide, as lifetime recreation and as a competitive sport' and their long-term goal is '...to have the world-wide sport of footbag become recognized by the International Olympic Committee and other international amateur sports organisations' (quoted from the official website of the IFPA). Every year many footbag events take place in countries across the world and competitions attract thousands of spectators and competitors.

As has been mentioned, freestyle footbag in the streets is very different from competition footbag. There are no winners, making it very easy for people to pick up and have a go. There are very few other activities where it is normal for complete strangers to join in a game and for novices to be welcomed and encouraged to try it out - a basic trick from someone who is learning the ropes is applauded just as much as an advanced trick from an experienced player. As someone who has spent many hours in the sunshine kicking a little sand filled bag around with a circle of friends, I personally have a real love for the game and the things it stands for. Rather than being a competitive pastime, freestyle footbag is more about group participation and appreciation of the skills of others. The two main rules are that you must always pass to someone else if you are the one starting off a game, and that there is no apologising when the footbag is dropped. Footbag is all about having fun, advancing your skills and showing off your latest tricks.

Footbag is a growing sport, and with such deep roots in cultures around the globe it is only going to get more popular. The values of respect and sportsmanship that go with it are things that will only benefit the game and the people who play it. Footbag is also a great sport for improving flexibility, balance and reactions, and for general fitness, so grab yourself a hack, get out there, and give it a go. <bio>Content by http://www.kemari.co.uk.
Action Sports are very popular these days and there are many types. They include sports such as Motocross racing, Surfing, Waterskiing, Parasailing, Rock Climbing and the list goes on. Here is a brief history of the beginnings of a few of the more popular Action Sports.

History of Skateboarding.

Skateboarding began in Southern California sometime in the late 40s or early 50s. Southern California has some of the most popular surfing spots in the state which attract surfers from all over the world. Even when the waves were not right the surfers wanted to be able to surf so somehow skateboarding evolved, no one really knows who built the very first skateboard, but the idea caught on and spread like wild fire. Today there are skateparks, ramp skating, trick skating and the Skateboard itself has evolved to allow skaters the ability to perform very complicated tricks and maneuvers.

History of Snowboarding.

The first Snowboard was called the Snurfer and was manufactured as a toy in 1966. I was basically a Skateboard with no wheels that you would steer with a rope. It had no bindings but would allow your boots to adhere to the board. In the early 70s a surfer developed a Snowboard called the Winterstick based on the feel of a surfboard but with the same function as skis. Through the years Snowboards and Snowboarding have increased greatly in popularity with the boards now being designed to enable Snowboards to race and perform freestyle tricks.

History of Skiing.

Skiing began as a means of travel and transportation. Sondre Norheim of Norway helped develop Skiing as Recreation and a Sport. In the mid to late 1800s lighter, thinner, cambered skis and a new stiff binding were developed which made it possible for skiers to swing, jump and maneuver turns while skiing down hill.

Some types of skiing are;

Alpine Skiing is what you do when you go to a ski resort, ride the lift and let gravity propel you down the run.

Alpine Freestyle or Jib skiing is where skiers use jumps or kicks to do aerial tricks.

Back Country Skiing or Nordic touring uses Nordic style equipment which allows skiers to ski up hill in areas where there are no chairlifts.

Cross Country Racing is one third up hill, one third downhill and one third flat.

Adaptive Skiing is done by people with physical disabilities and allows for adaptations to standard ski equipment.

Military Skiing is recreational and a means of transportation for the military, many armies train for ski warfare.

Nordic Jumping or ski flying is where skiers slide down a ramp and fly to see who can to the furthest before landing on the ground.

Nordic Skiing is the most popular style and does not require a special ski area and was developed in Scandinavia as a means of travel in winter.

Telemark skiing uses flexible ski boots that do not lock the heels into the skis which allow the skier to travel at higher speeds.

History of Cycling.

Cycling has grown in popularity over the years and throughout the world. In some countries it is a means of transportation through very narrow streets that will not allow cars to travel or countries where cars are too expensive. Cycling as a sport has increased in popularity throughout the world as well and uses bikes that are specially designed for the terrain and speeds.

Action Sports Gifts.

Action Sports are becoming more popular everyday and there are many types. They can include other sports such as Motocross racing, Surfing, Waterskiing, Parasailing, Rock Climbing, 4 Wheeling, Snowmobiling, Drag Racing, Mountain Biking and more.

Some interesting gift ideas for an Action Sports enthusiast might be to decorate a small tree with Action Sports Ornaments. There are Skateboarding Ornaments, Bike Racer Ornaments, Gifts for Snowboarders, Snowboarding Ornaments and Skiing Ornaments. These are just a few of the different types of Action Sports Gifts that are available. They are sure to be a hit with any Action Sport enthusiast.<bio>Debby Brown has been a writer for Christmas Decorations and Gifts for several years.
A new popular activity and sport is aggressive inline skating. Also referred to as "rolling" or "blading", these terms refer to a specialized form of inline skating. Aggressive inline skating is often associated with skateboarding and "extreme" sports and aggressive inline skaters often perform dangerous stunts and tricks and hard to do maneuvers. This type of skating is certainly not for the faint of heart and for many, it takes years and years of practice to perfect their skills and tricks.

There are also several different types of aggressive skating and a small underground community and culture that are associated with this elitist sport. Most want to keep it out of mainstream and in their own private community.

The known types of aggressive inline skating include:

- Vert skating - Park skating - Street skating

Some inline skaters may do all three where others stick to a particular style that they prefer. Vert skating or "vertical skating" usually refers to skating done in a halfpipe. Many skaters have their own skate parks with half pipes and other constructions to help them vert skate.

Park skating is really similar to vertical skating but usually uses smaller ramps and sometimes has a mixture of park skating elements mixed in as well. Street skating typically refers to skating which is done on the street with what is available such as handrails, ledges, stairs, etc.

The skates used for aggressive inline skating are usually a bit difference from regular skates. They usually have smaller wheels with a higher durometer and sole plates as well as freestyle frames. Aggressive inline skates have a harder shell to help protect the feet of the skater and provide more support. They have smaller wheels to help accelerate and decelerate faster and to help with tricks and speed.

There are many different tricks and stunts done by aggressive inline skaters and they are creating new ones every day. These skaters are always looking for a new edge, a greater, bigger and better trick and new thrill. Many of the tricks done in aggressive inline skating are similar to those done by skateboarders.

Aggressive inline skaters perform different types of grinds, rail slides, switch up's, grabs, aerials and many other types and variations of tricks. Aggressive inline skating is a very dangerous sport which is part of what makes it so exciting for those that take part in it. <bio>Chris Angelo is a skating enthusiast.
However the man in your life gets his thrills; give him Ultimate Experience Days Gifts. Whether he wants a drive in a dream car, spin out in a cockpit or literally jump for joy in the snow, gifts for him will never be the same again. And we guarantee he's going to love you for it!

Originally launched in 2003, the Lamborghini Gallardo benefits from increased V10 engine power of five hundred and twenty horsepower, and lower ratio gears, reaching a top speed of one hundred and ninety six miles per hour and accelerating from nought to sixty-two miles per hour in just four seconds. Designed to redefine its segment as the best high performance car, the Lamborghini Gallardo is a sports car to fulfil any man's fantasy. Using aluminium space frame technology, the dry weight of the car is just one thousand four hundred and thirty kilograms, despite its permanent four-wheel drive. The engine is mid-rear mounted, with particular attention paid to achieving correct weight distribution: forty two percent in the front and fifty eight percent in the rear.

The Gallardo is undoubtedly a Lamborghini, whilst asserting its individuality: designed with an evident purism, athleticism and sharpness, its long wheelbase with short overhangs gives it its dynamic appearance. Gallardo, in Lamborghini tradition, takes its name from a breed of fighting bulls: the 18th century Gallardo stock were famous for their aggressive beauty and performance. When the lucky man in your life learns he's been given a Lamborghini Thrill Driving Experience day Gifts Pack and treated to a drive in one if the most exclusive Italian supercars, conventional gifts for him are destined to take a back seat from now on!

But if that doesn't blow his hair back, perhaps the Ultimate Aerobatics Flight Gift for Him in a Cap 10 or Pitts Special will! First, the instructor will perform an extreme aerobatic sequence. It's then time for him to try and perform the same manoeuvres as the instructor coaches him! The Cap 10 and Pitts Special are the aircraft used around the world by professional aerobatic pilots in competitions. Aerobatic flying has to be the ultimate for those flying fanatics who seek stomach-churning thrills. Make no mistake - this experience day for him is not for the faint-hearted. Anyone who knows a little bit about air displays will know that these CAP10 aircraft are the 'industry standard' for performing amazing stunts in the sky. His expert pilot will take him through an extreme aerobatic sequence and then it's over to him to have a go at repeating the loops, rolls and turns under the careful coaching of the pilot.

The Pitts Special is perhaps the most famous aerobatic biplane of all time and is an American design, which was once the favoured mount of World Champions. Although no longer used at world competition level, its capabilities are awesome. Its amazing power to weight ratio and ability to pull face changing G forces will give your man the most exciting ride of his life. An Aerobatics Trial Lesson Flight Certificate will be awarded afterwards with photo opportunities for guests, an Experience Day for Him to savour and keep forever!

If the above aren't suitable birthday gifts for him; what about a little Snowboarding Lesson? This is a great chance to learn the latest sports craze of snowboarding. Snowboarding is a sport that involves descending a snow-covered slope on a snowboard attached to his feet using a special boot set into a mounted binding, experience day for him that will knock his socks off.

The development of snowboarding was inspired by surfing and skateboarding, and the sport shares superficial similarities with skiing. It was developed in the United States in the 1960s and the 1970s and became a Winter Olympic Sport in 1998. Did you know there are several different disciplines within the sport of snowboarding? Freestyle snowboarding is the discipline most closely associated with snowboarding's skateboard roots. All-Mountain Snowboarding make up arguably the largest group within the sport. An all-mountain rider is one who dabbles in each discipline while focusing mostly on riding everything the mountain has to offer. Snowboard Racing, simply put, involves competing against another snowboarder or group of snowboarders in a race against the clock. Snowboard-cross or Boarder-X races combine aspects of both gate racing and freestyle riding. Lessons take place at one of the country's permanent snow all the year round venues. Then the birthday man will have an initial safety briefing and he's off to the slopes. The lesson will cover equipment and basic skills.

Truly, Experience Day Gifts for Him are bound to put a smile on his face until next year, that is!<bio>To explore our range of Experience Days further, please visit our website at http://www.gettingpersonal.co.uk.</bio>

For many, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/whitewater+kayaking" rel="tag">whitewater kayaking is a fun, adventurous, and often adrenaline filled experience. whitewater rafting is usually done on a river in a kayak which is made of durable, tough plastic that is able to flex a little as it moves down the river. Kayaks can be anywhere from about 6 feet long to 12 feet or longer.

For beginners, tamer sections of a river are much better to learn in. the more extreme and advanced kayaking enthusiasts sometimes can end up looking like they are insane, especially if the river is particularly harsh.

Types Of Whitewater Kayaking

There are basically four types of kayaking. The first is generally called river running. This type of whitewater kayaking can be a combination of sight seeing and running down the rapids, or whatever types of challenges the river may offer. These kayaking trips can be one day or several days.

Creeking is a much more difficult type of kayaking. This is the type of whitewater kayaking which involves going down difficult parts of the river or rapids. Boats used in this type of kayaking are generally larger with a rounder front and back, which helps the kayak resurface more quickly if it happens to go under.

Slalom is another type of whitewater kayaking. This is basically the same as competing in slalom down a hill on skis. The kayaker navigates a section of a river, going in and out of the gates or poles. This involves going downstream through some gates and upstream through others. Interestingly, this is the only type of kayaking that is seen in the Olympics.

The most unique form of whitewater kayaking is called playboating or freestyle. Instead of going upstream or downstream, the kayaker generally stays in one area of the river performing different maneuvers, which can include spinning, cartwheels and other aerial feats. Sometimes you will hear this version of kayaking called whitewater rodeo in America.

Whichever version of kayaking interests you the most, there is one main requirement: you have to have a river to go whitewater kayaking. You can generally rent all of the other equipment once you arrive at the river, but it will take some investigating to find a river suitable for whitewater kayaking near you.

Whitewater kayaking can be a thrilling an interesting sport to compete in. Of course, you have to have a certain love of the water since you will be immersed in it quite often if you are going to go whitewater kayaking. <bio>John Mailer has written many articles on the extreme sport of whitewater rafting at http://www.whitewaterrafting-trip.com offering whitewater rafting vacation ideas.
I live near a beautiful park and, every day, I see groups of people enjoying themselves with what has become a favorite recreation here in my neighborhood -- the frisbee. Their fascination has led me to do my own kind of research into this frisbee craze. It's really quite interesting.

The frisbee, as we all know, is the most common name for those flying discs or flying saucers. They are usually made of plastic and are about 20 to 25 centimeters of 8 to 10 inches in diameter. These frisbees are designed to fly aerodynamically when someone throws them in the air with rotation and they can be caught by hand. Playing with a frisbee is like playing catch with a rubber ball, although frisbees are much more fun.

There are many types of frisbees available in the supermarkets and other commercial venues. There are disc golf discs, which are smaller but denser than your typical frisbee, plus they are made to follow a particular flight profile that can increase or decrease their stability and distance. Once people realized that dogs just love chasing those flying frisbees down, they designed special discs made up of more pliable material that are more resistant to the bite of a dog and which can prevent injuries to the dog that are often associated with more rigid materials. After that, naturally the next frisbee craze was in the form of disc dog competitions which tested the disc-catching skills of dogs. There are also now ring-like discs that are similar to Saturn's rings and these are known as Aerobies and they normally fly farther than the regular frisbee. The latest frisbee incarnation takes the form a lit flying disc which is growing more and more popular for evening and night time play. It's called a flashflight disc and players can enjoy playing with them even when the sun goes down.

There is actually a wide array of different games that utilize flying discs. These include Ultimate, Freestyle frisbee, Disc Golf (the traditional game of Golf played with flying discs (frisbees) instead of clubs and balls), Durango Boot, Double Disc Court, Guts Frisbee, Flutterguts (also known as Flutter Frisbee), Friskee, Disc dog, Dodge Frisbee, Goaltimate, Schtick, Fricket (also known as Cups), Hot Box, Fris-Nok (the traditional Icelandic-Canadian game), Extreme Frisbee (a less official, more violent game) and Speed Frisbee (like a tennis game with a disc). <bio>Kadence Buchanan writes articles for http://recreationandmore.com/ - In addition, Kadence also writes articles for http://cookingforfun.net/ and http://livingtheoutdoorslife.com/ </bio>

Do you have skate parks in your city? Are you aware of the significant impact skate parks can have on a city or town? Most skateboarders are all too familiar with the "No Skateboarding" signs that are posted in many desirable skating locations. Providing towns with skate parks gives the skaters a safe, designated place to skate and it benefits the youth of the community as well as all of a community as a whole.

Building skate parks takes effort from many different individuals and organizations and it's not as easy as it may seem which is likely why there are not enough skate parks as it is. If you want to help fight the good fight for more skate parks across the nation and even across the world, what can you do?

First, to build skate parks, you need to have the help of as many people as possible. You will want to form an organization. This is the first step toward getting in touch with skateboarders you know or see and also soliciting the aid of other people in the community. While many people incorrectly think that city council members will want to see adults speak about the construction of skate parks in towns, we have noticed that often quite the opposite is true. It is much more compelling to have the actual skateboarders do the lobbying since they are the ones who will want to use this skate park.

If parents, teachers, local businessmen and other individuals in the community support your plan to build a skate park, you should definitely make this known and add all you can to your committee but to really make your case heard, you are going to need as many actual skaters as possible. You will want to personally show that there is a direct need for a skate park in your community and no one can do that as well as the skaters themselves.

In communities all over the globe, many skaters are losing their places to skate because of legislation, tenant complaints, zoning regulations and neighborhood restrictions. These are the people that need to be there speaking out for more skate parks. These are the people who will directly benefit from the skate parks and they need to be directly involved with the process of requesting one.

In addition to skateboarders, you are also going to want to bring to your team, in-line skaters, BMX and freestyle bikers and other people in the skating community. Do not limit yourself to only the skating community. You will also want to get important people from your community involved such as religious leaders, local law enforcement and even local business owners. It will take all of your efforts combined to see action in your town.

Once you have your organization and members, you will begin forming a plan to lobby for skate parks in your area. Remember that you are going to be asked to prove the need for them in your area. You will need a location to have meetings and be sure to have regular meetings to keep everyone fired up and on pace with your project. Have an agenda and stick to it and you will begin to see things happening and hopefully more skate parks appearing all over the world! <bio>Chris Angelo is a skating enthusiast.
The introduction sentence of this article maybe make you doubt that is what to choose money clipping or wallet really all about. In fact, the following article includes some updated and useful information about the way of using wallet and reason to consider what you can choose between money clipping and wallet. The information describe below is what you can use. If you find yourself confused by what you've read to this point, don't despair. Everything should be crystal clear by the time you finish. If you've picked some pointers about this topic that you can put into action, and then by all means, do so. You won't really be able to gain any benefits from your new knowledge if you don't use it.

The traditional way of keeping things at one place is probably using purse or wallet. There is also some other traditional way of keeping everything together. You may have seen a person who still having folded bank notes and all other stuff like credit card and tied them all with rubber band. Or some of your friend may get used to rolling bank notes up in balls in his front pocket. Even though these ways of carrying stuff still exist but personally, I think it's time for them to change to new way like any other men do. That is using leather wallet or using money clips to keep things in your pocket. But there is still one question left, which is if they want to choose, wallet or money clips that should go for.

In fact, both leather wallet and money clips are suitable for men. They are different only in terms of design but it does not mean that you have to stick at one think and do not think about changing from using one to another. Leather wallet generally gains advantage in terms of space to contain things, greater protection to your stuff and provide professional look. Meanwhile money clips is more casual, comfortable and freestyle. Many people think that leather wallet suitable for people who normally have bank notes and credit cards such as business people and money clips is more suitable for people who love casual and light weight stuff such as university student and artists. Even though the fact described above is quite true but do not limit yourself to just one type of these things.

The basic type of leather wallet is bi-fold. It is the most classing wallet types that are available in the market. Bi-fold type also with a crease down the middle and a fold to hold your bills and you may like the tri-fold wallet to choose. If you have some of credit cards and always carry them. I suggest you to go for leather wallet as they need extra protection such as from water and heat. Keep all credit cards in leather wallet so you can make sure that you will not lose re damage them. On the other hand if you are the person who do not have anything much too carry apart from cash and some id cards and need kind of thing that could provide comfort when carry them, money clips is what you have to choose. <bio>PisanK.'s a writer for Bag, Handbag, Luggage and Wallet websites including http://www.magicswallet.com.
Every place that one visits has its own charm. And to a large extent the basic nature of the charm is determined by the nature of the place itself. New York is the city that does not sleep. And when that is kept in mind it does not appear to be surprising that the nightclubs in the city are a favorite haunt of the tourists. There are several nightclubs to choose from in New York City as well. It all depends on what you are looking for. You can get the right kind of place to suit your needs and meet your demands if you are looking at the right place.

Let's begin with the night club called 58. Located on 58th street, it allows ladies to enter free of cost till seven in the evening. But men are charged even upon entering before seven. The charges keep on increasing as the night jeeps on darkening. If you are looking to have dinner at the club itself you are advised to get there early as there is a Hot and Cold Buffet from 6 to 7 PM. The music generally tends to be of the Hip Hop and Latin along with many other depending upon the mood of the crowd and the atmosphere.

Another club to look out for is Jade which is 47th Street. The entry is either free or there is charge of up to $5 until 7 pm. The music again tends to be of the hip hop, Latin, and freestyle variety. The unique thing about this place is the salsa. A red and green terrace welcomes the crowd and here you can enjoy with your friends and loved ones.

Bar 13 on the 13th Street is another member of the group of nightclubs that light up the life in the city. If the weather permits you can even avail of the Roof deck which is a cool place to hang out with friends. Here

Crobar is on the 28th Street and it is one place you should definitely visit. The best DJs from all over the globe will help you make your night a memorable one.

Show is located on 41st Street and it features all that can make you feel good at night in a night club, good music and good DJs.

Another place to shake a leg and enjoy yourself is Canal Room which is on the Canal Street. This nightclub appeals to upscale crowd. It appeals to people who are casual, fashionable and yet neat. These are just a few places that should be on you list. There is always a chance that you will come across something that you will like in the middle of nowhere. Though it is very difficult to be nowhere at night in New York as some place or the other finds you in this happening city.

The night seems to be calling out to people to come out to have a good time. Few are able to resist the call. You should not. However if you resist you will lose quite a number of memories. If you do go out you will gain a lot of memories and have a great time. Take your friends along or you can make new ones as these places are always full of people. You can find new company as well as new moves to rock the dance floor. So go ahead and shake a leg and enjoy the maximum during the night. Just remember not to mix drinking and driving and you will experience a great time in the hot night clubs of New York City. <bio>Vince Peters writes for the website: http://hot-night-clubs.info </bio>

A short while after a patient has been diagnosed with Diabetes type II they will begin to realize that there are many things which they must do now that has never been an issue before. You must make sure you keep in close contact with your physician to help you determine what course of action you must follow to keep this disease under control. The patient will need to monitor themselves on a regular basis for their blood sugar, their diet, their exercise, and many other small but very important things.

When you compound these things together it can be overwhelming. You may be stressed if you have been the one diagnosed. You may be more stressed if your loved one has been diagnosed with any stage of the disease. The diagnosis can be varied from a pre-diabetic state, to a diabetic, to one who has had a family disposition to diabetes. There can also be varied symptoms and varied strengths of symptoms. This is not Diabetes Type I, but diabetes Type II that can benefit the most from timely, cost effective, and constant blood glucose monitoring.

Your diet and exercise will also go in hand with the testing. The glucose blood testing will allow you to gain control over the disease, and not let it run or ruin your life. The monitors actually will test for the free glucose that is in your blood stream and never made it into the cells. But, there are some things that can be done to alleviate some of this new stress. Knowing your glucose numbers, and how to manage your situation based on these numbers are an important item. But, where do you get a glucose monitor? How much do glucose monitors cost? How much do the periphery items cost, and how often are they needed?

The Ascensia glucose monitor comes very highly regarded and it can handle rapid and frequent testings. The Ascensia also needs very little blood so you will have an easier time over the long run. You will not have lost sensations or feelings in your fingertips, nor will you postpone taking your sugar test, as you will have a reduced amount of pain with this system. Since you must constantly measure your glucose this is a very good thing. There are many more monitors to choose from if you don't like the feel of the Ascensia models. But, you must remember that once you choose your monitor you must also choose the active testing strip style.

These are very varied, but will all test fairly quick and with little blood from you. The Ascensia models can use the Elite strips, the Microfill, or the Autodisk strips. Determining which one is right is exclusively based on your personal preference. You may be a lucky patient and with a little probing find that your physician has been given an Ascensia glucose monitor to give to certain patients for free. All you have to do is ask. Remember that asking is part of taking your life back, and living it to the fullest. <bio>Diabetic Supplies Inc.
Ample leisure time allows for a raft of thrilling experiences inducing different degrees of adrenaline rush from balloon rides to freefall parachuting.

Unpredictable UK weather conditions can be a bit of a stumbling block but add a small slice of sun to the equation and the whole extreme sports arena suddenly opens up to encompass many more attractive propositions. A hot air balloon at dawn across the Arizona desert holds a much broader appeal than, say, one over the flats of Northamptonshire and a leap off the soaring mountains to paraglide down to the powdery white sands and glistening blue lagoon of Turkey's famous Olu Deniz beach http://www.oludenizbeach.com/paragliding.html is something a fair few of us may contemplate, well at least from the comfort of our sun loungers.

The great range of water-based UK sports tend to remain the province of more hardy animals. It's difficult to beat the excellent kayaking and canoeing in the cascades of North Wales' Canolfan Tryweryn National Whitewater Centre http://www.ukrafting.co.uk and the huge windsurfing community are spoilt for choice with competitions taking place year round across the country.

But how much more appealing the wind and water sounds if you factor in the sun-drenched Saharan style dunes of Fuerteventura. The Canary Islands are home to some of the best windsurfing in the world, the combination of calm flat waters and strong, steady summer tradewinds providing the perfect conditions for the PWA Freestyle and PWA Wave Grand Slam World Championships to be held in July in Fuerteventura and in Gran Canaria.

These prime watersport heavens are becoming more and more accessible with journey times matching, and even sometimes bettering, those to Devon and Cornwall via the hugely congested summer road network. Flights to the Canaries can be picked up really cheaply see http://www.xl.com/champion/cheap-flights-to-canaries.asp with some great bargains to be had following the latest round of UK travel company discounts. <bio>Michael is a keen writer, and internet marketer living in Scotland: Contact details: E-mail: samqam@googlemail.com Phone: 0131 561 2251 Michael's Website: http://www.gransha-taxi.co.uk/Belfast-airport-taxis.htm </bio>

The sport of skydiving, already adventurous in its own right, boasts several parachute games and competitions that test the skill and expertise of pros and daredevils alike.

Skydiving may not be traditional Olympic sport, but participants interested in parachute games can find contests and competitions held annually in various parts of the world. The International World Games Association, which is recognized by the International Olympic Committee, sponsors skydiving competitions.

The 2005 World Games, which were held in Duisburg, Germany, included many parachuting events. Participants competed in canopy piloting, formation skydiving, freeflying, freestyle stunts, and accuracy landing events. Just as in the traditional Olympic games, gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded to the individuals or teams placing first, second, and third in these skydiving games. Skydiving has also been included in the x-games, which hosts competitions for "extreme sports."

Speed skydiving is one type of "extreme" parachute games in which jumpers exit an aircraft at 13,000 feet and then accelerate in a vertical, head-first position into a measuring zone, which begins at 8,850 feet and extends to 5,570 feet. Altimeters attached to the racing skydivers measure average speeds across the measuring zone.

Skysurfing and BASE jumping are two skydiving games that are gaining in popularity. Skysurfing, which can be extremely dangerous -- especially for inexperienced skydivers -- involves the use of a small board (similar to a snowboard) attached to the jumper's feet. With this board, skysurfers can try radical maneuvers not otherwise possible. Participants can kick the board loose just prior to landing; some experienced skysurfers are able to land with the board still attached to their feet and glide to a stop. Only very experienced skydivers should choose to participate in skysurfing and should only do so after speaking with people who have tried skysurfing. Classes and instructional videos are available from some skysurfers and from board manufacturers.

"BASE" stands for Buildings, Antennas, Spans (bridges), and Earth (cliffs) -- fixed objects that skydivers jump from rather than from aircraft. BASE jumping is one parachute game that relatively inexperienced skydivers may try; however, there are some limitations. First, finding a place where BASE jumping is legal can be difficult. Second, although extensive skydiving experience is not necessary, BASE jumpers must ensure that they are skilled in parachute packing and canopy control and should have sharp reflexes and good body-position awareness. <bio>John Ewing enjoys writing for http://www.skydiving-parachuting-guide.com .
