Independence Day is a fun summer holiday, full of festivals, fireworks, and other activities. It is also a tribute to the beginnings of our country. Fourth of July crafts are an entertaining way for kids to commemorate the anniversary of our independence. Here are some ideas.

Windsocks are a fun and attractive outdoor decoration. They are also easy to make. All you need is an oatmeal box, some white and blue construction paper, red and white streamers, scissors, and glue. Cut the end out of the oatmeal box and cover it with blue construction paper, and cut out stars from the white construction paper to glue on. Then cut some red and white streamers to the same length, and glue them to one end. Tie some string to the other end for hanging.

Girls can make themselves some patriotic hair accessories for the occasion. Just buy some plain barrettes, red, white, or blue yarn, and patriotic beads or buttons from the craft store. Wrap yarn tightly around the barrette, and glue each end to the back. Then attach some beads or buttons, or make a bow out of some more yarn for a simple but pretty hair bow.

Fireworks are a favorite on the Fourth of July. You can make a unique fireworks picture with some crayons and white paper. First, use lots of different colors to make a pattern all over the paper. Color darkly. Then get a black crayon, and color over the whole piece of paper darkly. Use a paper clip to scratch off a fireworks design, and you will have a colorful picture of fireworks in the night sky.

Fourth of July parades are great, but think of the fun the kids could have by having their own parade! They can decorate their bikes with red, white, and blue crepe paper and tape. Then they will need some patriotic costumes. If they have some holiday-appropriate clothes that's great, but if not they can easily paint some stars and stripes on an old t-shirt with fabric paint. Make your own flags and signs with paper and markers. Gather up some toy or makeshift musical instruments, stick horses, and a few flags, and you can have an awesome parade right in your own backyard.

The Fourth of July is a great time for summer crafts. These are only a few of the many items that kids could make for the occasion. Once you get them started, they will likely think of many more creative ideas on their own. Make sure you have the basics such as construction paper, scissors, glue, art supplies, and some craft sticks on hand, and you'll be surprised what they will come up with. <bio>http://www.HolidayIdeasForMoms.com is your source for less-stress and more fun all year-round.
In the "Shime" chapter of the Shobogenzo, Zen Master Dogen Zenji discusses the "four horses," which is a metaphor used by the Buddha in the Samyuta-Agama sutra. This metaphor of the four horses speaks about how we are when we practice the game of golf=97 four, one could say, classes of students.

The first horse, the superior class, is like a horse that runs fastest by merely feeling the whip's shadow. The second horse, the good class, runs fastest when the whip brushes its hair, the hair of its mane. The third horse, the poor class, runs fastest where the whip has actually touched its flesh. And the fourth, the lowest kind of horse, is the one who runs fastest only when the whip can be felt to the marrow of its bones.

At first glance we all want to be like the first horse in the superior class. These are the fast learners...the ones who seem to be a natural. Dogen Zenji says this may not be so desirable. A study of master golfers has shown that it is not the students with innate natural abilities who have achieved golf mastery. The golfers who have achieved mastery are mostly the students with average to below average natural abilities...the ones who have practiced their craft diligently. This is very interesting...why is this so?

The road to mastery for all students has many plateaus in skill levels interrupted by brief spikes in improvements. When the first class of student takes up golf they see an immediate spike in improvement in their skill level and are very motivated. When they reach that ultimate first plateau where they do not improve despite hard practice, most gifted students get discouraged.

Gifted students are used to seeing fast progress, so they may blame the instructor or something else just so they don't have to put in the hard work that is needed to attain mastery. Many superior students will then give up the game due to frustration.

Superior athletes who never make it big are seen in ALL sports. We all have heard countless stories about gifted athletes who never made it big because they weren't willing to put the time in needed to reach their innate potential.

The fourth class of student will see slow improvements, much time spent on plateaus in their skill level. If the fourth class of golf student stays with it and practices hard they will learn the golf to the marrow of their bones, like the fourth horse.

Before you can master ANY skill, you need to learn the skill to the marrow of your bones. To learn golf to the marrow of your bones you need to stay at each skill level for however long it takes. Most first class students never learn the skill to the marrow of their bones because it comes easy to them. The time spent on plateaus for students who learn fast are shorter than the ones who learn slower.

The paradox of the four horses parable is we must practice like the fourth class of horse to become like the first class of horse.

Hit 'em Long and Straight!
The government adapted strict monetary and fiscal policies to control the rate of inflation during this period. Rigid monetary policies were used to limit credit expansion in the private sector. The fiscal policies were mostly the levying of import and export taxes. The export taxes were imposed on some commodities, such as rice and sugar, as a means to control domestic prices. The import tax on raw materials used for manufacturing was reduced. There was also a tax on raw materials used for manufacturing was reduced. There was also a tax rebate for importing raw materials for producing export commodities.

The Fourth Plan (1977-1981) : The Economic Recovery Period

During the Third Economic and Social Development Plan, Thailand was affected by the world economic fluctuations as were other countries. Regional, political instability also acted to weaken the Thai economy, as many neighboring countries changed from democratic to socialist countries. This resulted in investors losing confidence in Thailand. The consequence was a higher rate of unemployment.

By the end of the Third Plan, inequitable income distribution was a major problem. Therefore, one of the main objectives in the Fourth Plan was to distribute economic growth and social services to the remote regions of the to country. The population was targeted to increase at rate 2.3 percent a year. It was expected that this rate of growth was appropriate for cohabitation with the existing natural resources and would be suitable for economic development.

The Fourth Plan was set to be an indicative plan instead of allocative plan, as all earlier plans were. This indicative plan was intended to be a practical guideline for government agencies to improve their policies and set up practical objectives. The Fourth Plan was designed to resolve the economic recession and to maintain economic stabilization. It also intended to solve the basic economic and structural problems. It was planned not only to stimulate economic growth but also to reduce the economic inequality in society.

Concerning disparities in income distribution, the Fourth Plan was unable to find a solution to this problem. The per capital income in the agricultural sector was 5 times lower than manufacturing and commercial sectors, and 2 times lower than the service sector. The people in the Northeastern part of Thailand suffered the most poverty. Per capita income in Northeastern Thailand was five to seven times lower than in Bangkok in 1981. The proportion of regional production relative to GDP declined from 15 percent in 1976 to 14.3 percent in 1981.

With respect to social services, toward the end of the Fourth Plan, the rate of population growth was reduced to 2.2 percent. The government was unable to meet the targeted goals for provided were close to the goal, but not in all regions of the country.

Overall, the Fourth Plan was more successful than the Third Plan. The GDP increased at a rate of 7.5 percent a year. This high rate of growth was the result of attempting to maintain an economic stabilization policy to fight worldwide economic fluctuation. The government increased public investment spending from the target set at 14.6 percent to 24.8 percent a year. Economic expansion on terms of production sectors showed a higher growth rate than the target set in almost every sector except for agricultural and manufacturing sectors. The agricultural sector grew less than anticipated in the plan because of the limited planning area and the deterioration quality of planting soil. The manufacturing sector was curbed by the world wide economic recession so that the export of manufactured goods during the Fourth Plan was not as high as the Third Plan.<bio>Please visit my blog Please visit my blog For more information Check out this Ice machine Bangkok car</bio>

The Census Bureau of the Department of Commerce recently announced the adjusted e-commerce and retail sales for the fourth quarter of 2007:

- U.S. retail e-commerce sales for the fourth quarter of 2007 were $36.2 billion, an increase of 4.6 percent from the third quarter of 2007.

- Total retail sales for the fourth quarter of 2007 were estimated at $1,030.7 billion, an increase of 0.9 percent from the third quarter of 2007.

- The fourth quarter 2007 e-commerce estimate increased 18.0 percent from the fourth quarter of 2006, while total retail sales increased 4.7 percent in the same period.

- E-commerce sales in the fourth quarter of 2007 accounted for 3.5 percent of total retail sales compared to 3 percent for 2006, and were 3.6 percent for the final quarter of 2007.

In plain language, e-commerce retail sales are growing at approximately five times the rate of traditional retail sales.

The conclusion from these numbers is that American consumers are changing their buying habits. Whereas previously American consumers went to a retail property to buy goods, they are increasingly buying more goods through the Internet. Starting from zero fifteen years ago, online sales are now growing at the rate of 3.6 percent of total retail sales, and increasing. What are some core reasons behind the trend?

- Families with both spouses working have less time to get in their car, drive to a retail property, park the car, go to a store, shop, and then reverse the whole process.

- Families with one spouse working are seeking more quality time with family members and have less time to get in their car, drive to a retail property, park the car, go to a store, shop, and then reverse the whole process.

- Today's single people have an increasing diversity of interests and are less interested in getting in their car, driving to a retail property, parking the car, going to a store, shopping, and then reversing the whole process.

- Dramatic increase in the availability and affordability of personal computers and Internet service, which is sometimes free.

- Steady increase in the "trust" factor for online purchasing and credit card processing.

A new factor adding to the convenience of shopping from home is the cost of gasoline. In 2007, gasoline consumption dropped to its lowest level since 2003. The California State Board of Equalization said Californians purchased 15.8 billion gallons of gas, down about 100 million gallons from the previous year. That means people are driving less in general.

Most retail stores are not blind to this new competition. Many retail businesses that use traditional square feet to sell their products have developed their own websites, and are selling their goods over the Internet. Of course, this only further strengthens the change in the buying habits of the American consumer as retail stores embrace the online demand.

The combination of the convenience of shopping on the Internet, the increased cost of gasoline, and the improved security, delivery service, and product quality on the Internet portends a troubled future for the traditional retail store and those income properties financially dependent on the retail store. <bio>Allen Cymrot was one of the first real estate executives to testify before both houses of Congress, among many other commercial real estate investment accomplishments. And this is where the strategies should take place.

When playing poker, all players can see the community cards of the others. When we play the poker for money, we will have a betting round of better after a round of cards that are dealt. Therefore, in total there will be four rounds of betting in poker game.

Hole Cards.

Each player is dealt two cards face down. Most of Texas Hold'em game starts with two players to the left of the dealer. The game then start putting a predetermined amount of money into the pot before any cards is dealt.

The Flop.

Three cards are dealt face up on the table. After the first betting round past, the dealer discards the top card of the deck. This is also called burning the card. This is done to ensure that nobody will see the top card, and to prevent cheating. After that the dealer will flip the next three cards making them face up on the table. These cards facing up are called the "flop."

The Turn, or call "Fourth Street"

A fourth card is dealt to the table. The dealer will burn another card. Then the dealer will play one more face up on the table. The "Turn" or "Fourth Street" is the fourth community card. The player to the left of the dealer (the button) begins the third round of betting.

The River, or call "Fifth Street".

Finally, a fifth card is dealt to the table. The dealer will burn another card then he will place the final face-up card on the table. The final face-up card is called the "river" or "Fifth Street."

Betting in the final and getting a winner. When you play poker you will have the combination of the seven cards. The five cards in your hand are called the community cards.

The other two cards are hole cards. You will have to use these seven cards to form the best positive five cards in your poker hand.

The final round will start with the player to the left of the dealer. After this round of poker game, all players on the table who still in the game have to reveal what are in their hands.

The player who made the initial bet or the player who made the last raise is going to have to their hand first. The player who has the best hand ranking will win the poker game.

In order to master Texas Holdem strategy and tactics, I recommend you to get my free poker E-course.
I have shown in this series of articles that there are several pieces of evidence that the Persian Empire did not last the 200 years proposed by historians but only 21 years as described in the Old Testament. This is an idea I presented in detail in my book, The Fourth Day: Why the Bible is Historically Accurate. My article, "Old Testament History Revised-Jeremiah's Eclipse" provides astronomical evidence from the Bible for this idea and my article, "Old Testament History Revised-The 390 Days of Ezekiel" provides evidence from a famous prophecy from the biblical book of Ezekiel for this idea. This article provides archaeological support for a "short" Persian Empire based on information described in Peter James' book, Centuries of Darkness.

Archaeological Findings of the Babylonian and Persian Empires

Recall that earlier in this book I proposed that the Babylonian Empire's reign over Judah occurred about 180 years later than the Conventional Biblical Chronology dating. The Conventional Biblical Chronology dates the Babylonian captivity of Judah as 585 B.C. while the Fourth Day Biblical Chronology places it in 401 B.C. If the Fourth Day Chronology is accurate shouldn't it be reflected in the archeology? What about Judah's migration from Persia in accordance of the edict by Cyrus II to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem? According to the Conventional Biblical Chronology this would have occurred in 539 B.C. however the Fourth Day Biblical Chronology dates this event in 350 B.C. Let's allow Peter James' book settle the matter. According to the Biblical record during the reign of King Cyrus the Persian it was a very active time in Israel. Those that acquired wealth in the Babylonian and Persian reigns of Babylon returned home. The land was resettled, the Temple rebuilt and walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt. Despite all this activity Peter James records that there were few findings for the 539-332 BC timeframe in the region. (Centuries of Darkness, page 170)

If the Fourth Day Biblical Chronology is the correct model this lack of archaeological findings is easily explained. Persia was only present from 352 B.C. to 331 B.C. so there should only be about either 21 years of artifacts present. If you believe the Conventional Chronology there would have been 207 years (539-332 B.C.) to indicate the presence of the Persians. The Persians were just not there for much of the period in question. Peter James states that information is lacking on many levels. A Persian strata is difficult to see and few architectural remains are present. Those strata that are present are of the timeframe after 450 BC (there is almost no evidence of finds prior to this period). According to Peter James other archaeologists have lamented the fact that to be such a relative recent timeframe in history there is surprisingly few finds for this period. (page 170, Centuries of Darkness). All these observations just enforce the observation that the Persian Empire was a short-lived event in the history of Judah. Peter James doesn't have much better news about the Jewish Exile to Babylon. James paints a bleak picture for archaeological findings in the timeframe 587-539 BC that represents the Babylonian Conquest. More than one hundred years of Biblical history is barely evident in archaeological evidence. Peter James poses the question: does the time period from 587-450 BC in Palestine represent some kind of dark period in Israelite and Babylonian history? (Centuries of Darkness, pages 170-171). Indeed not. Since, according to Fourth Day Biblical Chronology, the Babylonians and the Persians did not show up in the lives of Judah until after 450 B.C. there is certainly no reason to believe in a 'Dark Age' in Palestine. The evidence speaks for itself, the Babylonians and the Persians were just not there from 587 B.C. to 450 B.C. They were not there because the Persian Empire only lasted twenty one years, not the more than 200 years that the conventional chronology model claims. <bio>My name is Darren Thompson and I am a chemical engineer that has worked in the rocket propulsion industry for over 15 years.
There are many different and popular poker games out there today. The most popular games are Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and Seven-Card Stud. This article with provide you with the basics to begin playing each of these popular forms of poker.

To start out I will go over the ranking of hands -- this is the same for every form of poker:

1.Straight Flush (5 cards of the same suit in sequential order: Q-J-10-9-8) 2.Four of Kind (4 matching cards: J-J-J-J-7) 3.Full House (3 matching cards and 2 other matching cards: K-K-K-5-5) 4.Flush (any 5 cards all the same suit) 5.Straight (5 cards in sequential order: 9-8-7-6-5) 6.Three of a Kind (3 matching cards: 5-5-5-K-9) 7.Two Pair (2 sets of 2 matching cards: A-A-J-J-3) 8.One Pair (2 match cards: Q-Q-7-5-2) 9.No Pair (Any 5 cards that work into one of the above options: A-Q-J-10-8)

Texas Hold'em Poker is a community card game with four rounds of betting. One player acts as the dealer, called the button. The button rotates clockwise each hand. Usually there is a blind system to facilitate the betting. The player to the left of the dealer is the "small blind" and the next player to the left is the "big blind." The small blind is generally one half of the minimum bet for that round and the big blind is the full minimum bet. These two players are the only players who put money into the pot before any cards are dealt.

Each player receives two cards face down -- these cards are called hole cards. The first round of betting starts with the person to the left of the big blind and continues clockwise. Three community cards are then dealt face up on the table -- this is called the flop. (The second through fourth rounds of betting starts with the person to the left of dealer who is still in play and continues clockwise.) A fourth community card is dealt face up on the table, called the turn card. Then the third round of betting happens. Finally the fifth community card is dealt face up on the table -- called the river card. Then the fourth and final round of betting happens.

Players must combine their hole cards with the community cards to make the best possible 5-card poker hand. Players can use either both hole cards, one hole card, or no hole cards in order to make their hand. The player with the best hand takes the pot and then next hand starts with the dealer button moving clockwise each hand. There are two variations to Texas Hold'em: Pot Limit and No Limit.

Omaha Poker is a community card game similar to Texas Hold'em with four rounds of betting. The main difference is each player is dealt four cards face down rather than two. When you are making your hand at the end of all rounds of betting, you MUST use two and only two hole cards and three community cards (for one 5 card hand). A popular variation to Omaha is Omaha High-Low in which the player who has the highest and the player with the lowest hand (A,2,3,4,5 or close to this) split the pot.

Seven-Card Stud is different than both Texas Hold'em and Omaha in many ways. There are no community cards in stud poker, five rounds of betting instead of four, and antes instead of blinds. In stud the player's hands determine the order of play as well, instead of a simple clockwise order.

The ante begins the deal, anyone who wants in must pay to the pot. For the first round of betting each player is dealt (one at a time) two cards face down (hole cards) and one card face up (upcard). The player with the LOWEST upcard starts the first round of betting and betting continues clockwise. A fourth card is dealt face up, and the player with HIGHEST upcard starts the second round betting which continues clockwise. Likewise the fifth and sixth cards are dealt face up to start the third and fourth rounds of betting respectively. Again betting for these rounds starts each time with the player with the HIGHEST upcards and continues clockwise. Finally, the seventh and last card is dealt face down, and betting starts with the same player that started the fourth round of betting. Each player makes the best possible five card poker hand using any combination of their seven cards. A popular variation to Seven-Card Stud is Seven-Card Stud High-Low where the players with the best and worst hands split the pot. <bio>Tom Riemersma has played tons of poker and loves all sorts of poker games.
If you have recently received a DUI in Florida, you may be getting advice from friends and family about what you can expect as punishment. It's best to remember that a lawyer will always be your best source of information. Lawyers can help you understand the legal structure, and they can also help you understand how the specifics relating to your case will correspond to the law. Just because someone you know was punished one way doesn't mean that you will be punished the same way. Florida has set some basic guidelines for punishment upon conviction.

If This Is Your First Conviction

According to fine schedule 312.193(2) (a)-(b), F.S., a first conviction is subject to a fine of not less than $250.00, but no more than $500.00. If the blood alcohol level was .20 or higher or a minor was in the vehicle, the fine is slightly higher of not less than $500.00, but no more than $1,000.00. The exact fine amount is usually set by the judge and can be argued by lawyers, but it is generally up to the sole discretion of the judge.

If This Is Your Second Conviction

According to fine schedule 312.193(2) (a)-(b), F.S., a second conviction is subject to a fine of not less than $500.00 and not more than $1,000.00. If your blood alcohol level was .20 or higher, you can expect your fine to be higher. This is also true if a minor was in the vehicle with you. If either of these situations applies to you, you can expect your fine to be no less than $1,000.00, but not more than $2,000.00.

If This Is Your Third Conviction

According to fine schedule 312.193(2)(a)-(b), F.S., if this is your third conviction in more than 10 years, you will be fined no less than $1,000.00 and no more than $2,500.00. If you were arrested with a blood alcohol of more than .20 or a minor was in the vehicle, the fine will be no less than $2,000.00.

If you have a third conviction within 10 years, you will be fined no more than $5,000.00. If you had a blood alcohol of .20 of higher or there was a minor in the vehicle with you at the time of your arrest, you will be fined no less than $2,000.00.

If This Is Your Fourth Conviction

According to fine schedule 312.193(2)(a)-(b), F.S., if this is your fourth or subsequent conviction, you will be charged no less than $1,00.00, and if there was a blood alcohol of .20 or higher or there was a minor present, the fine will be no less than $2,000.00. Of course, on a fourth offense, most judges will be quick to give a heftier fine to help deter you from future DUI charges.

Community Service Community service is generally something that judges order DUI offenders to do. A first conviction can warrant up to 50 hours of community service and an additional fine of $10 for each hour of community service ordered. On a first conviction, it is possible for probation/incarceration to last up to one year of time. Imprisonment isn't typical, but it is at the court's discretion and is dependent upon the circumstances of the case.

Imprisonment If imprisonment is warranted, there are limits as to what the court can decide. For a first conviction, the convicted cannot spend more than six months incarcerated, or 9 months, if the blood alcohol was .20 or higher. For a second conviction, you could spend as much as nine months imprisoned, and up to 12 months if the blood alcohol was more than .20. A second conviction requires at least ten days of imprisonment, with at least 48 hours of consecutive confinement. A third conviction within ten years requires a mandatory imprisonment of at least 30 days, with at least 48 consecutive hours of confinement. If the third conviction takes place after ten years, the offender cannot be held for more than 12 months. A fourth conviction can mean up to five years of imprisonment, as indicated in 775.084, and listed as a habitual or violent offender. Imprisonment for these charges is usually spent in a treatment facility for drugs and/or alcohol abuse.

As you can see, there is a lot of room for negotiation with fines, community service, and time spent in treatment programs of some type. With a lawyer by your side, you have a better chance of getting through the legal process and rebuilding your life on the other side of it. Don't just go with the flow and believe what your friends and family tell you. Each case is different, so be sure that you get the best legal defense for your case. <bio>http://www.Norvell-Harvey.com handles DUI,Personal Injury, and Criminal lawsuits within Southf Florida.
The Astral Plane, sometimes referred to as "The Afterlife", "The Beyond" and even "The Fourth Dimension" is commonly known as the place we will transition to after we pass from this physical plane. The astral plane really isn't the fourth dimension when you take into consideration that the physical plane makes up the first three dimensions, which includes length, width and height. Time is considered to be the fourth dimension. So we will consider the astral plane as being the "Fifth Dimension" in an otherwise multi-dimensional universe.

The Lower Astral Planes are considered to be, for lack of a better word the "hells" and are inhabited by people who led a relatively dark, evil existence while in the physical world. There is a generally accepted belief system in place that a person will migrate to the plane where "like attracts like". The inhabitants of the lower plane will continue to act in accordance with their previous earthly behaviors. Murderers will continue to murder and rapists will continue to rape. Of course it's impossible to physically harm anyone here but the thought of spending eternity engaging in these ruthless acts of violence is hard to imagine. It's also believed that eventually the inhabitants of this level can progress by learning their lessons and fully understanding the true and bitter pain they have caused and may return to the earthly plane to begin their progression back to the One Source.

The Mid Astral Planes are mainly comprised of decent people who have completed their most recent life in the physical plane. In accordance with the principle of "like attracts like" this plane is believed to be clean, pure and peaceful. Those that find themselves on the mid astral plane have progressed further along on the journey back to the One Source but still are very focused on the material things in the physical plane. They will find an environment that closely matches their experiences on the physical plane. It seems to be a common theme that the planes you arrive at resembles the nature of your existence on the physical plane because it would be too much of a shock to enter the inner astral planes or true spiritual worlds if you have not adequately progressed spiritually.

The Higher Astral Planes (Inner Astral Planes) are the planes where one has transcended the materialism of the physical planes. The setting here is idyllic, filled with all the splendor of a perfect harmonious day filled with love and joy. It has been described over the course of time as having a Heavenly type quality. This is thought to be the last stop on our way to the true spirit worlds and becoming reunited with the One Source. After having experienced these inner astral planes the next time the soul departs the physical plane there will be no desire to return to the lower planes and will want to leave behind all the past desires of materialism.

Regardless of what ones beliefs are you can draw a parallel with the astral planes as a way of progression on our journey back to the One Source or if you prefer God.<bio>The first step to perfecting any type of energy movements such as awakening your psychic abilities or traversing the astral planes is to learn how to silence your mind and relax your body.
It is one of the commonest problems faced by many women. Men can get away by shaving their beard, moustache and cutting their hair. For women it is not that simple. There are some common measures which every woman must have tried in her lifetime.

Waxing: It is one of the easiest and convenient ways to deal with your hair. It may be painful in the beginning but this method goes a long way. The hair growth after waxing is comparatively slower in comparison to shaving. It also keeps your waxed legs and hands smooth and supple. You can make this wax in the luxury of your very home.

Homemade wax Use two cups of sugar, one fourth cup of water and one fourth cup of lemon juice. Heat a pan and pour all the mentioned ingredients in it. Heat this over a low flame and keep stirring till it's melted. You will get a thick brown liquid which can be used once slightly cool. Before you start waxing check it on you finger for consistency as well as the temperature. Before applying this mixture with a butter knife, cool it by blowing air over it. Use a clean cloth or any waxing strip; pull it in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Once done, apply ice as well as astringent over the area to tighten the pores.

Sugaring is a very old method of hair removal. With change in time this technique of hair removal is back in fashion. Its popularity has increased tremendously. You can try this recipe by using one cup sugar, juice of half a lemon, one fourth cup honey, Molasses, very little and cornstarch. Mix lemon, sugar, molasses and honey in bowl and heat it in the microwave for 2-4 minutes to get a smooth consistency. You can do the same by keeping it on the gas on a low flame. Dust the area with cornstarch before applying the mixture. This helps in smooth removal of the hair. Use the same procedure like waxing by using the strips.

Tweezing is another method for removing facial hair by using tweezers. It is a painstaking as well as time consuming job. Usually used for bushy eyebrows. Tweezing eventually stops your hair growth by the continuous pricking even though it may take lot of time.

Threading one of the most common and known method of hair removal used on any part of your body. This form of hair removal is used for upper lips, chin, eyebrows or any little patch which hasn't been taken care while waxing. It requires detail and attention. It is very useful for people with sensitive skin. It is the twirling of the cotton threads which removes the hair for that perfect look.

You can naturally bleach your hair with lemon juice and chamomile tea. One should not use lemon juice undiluted so you can mix honey with lemon juice.

You can also use pumice stone to remove excess hair on everyplace other than your face.

Warning: The reader of this article should exercise all precautionary measures while following instructions on the home remedies from this article. Avoid using any of these products if you are allergic to it. The responsibility lies with the reader and not with the site or the writer. <bio>Sharon Hopkins has been managing number of natural home remedies websites, such as http://www.home-remedies-for-you.com, which provides information on different uses of the home remedies and natural cures.
The wise saying goes, "The ring is round...and my love for you will never end!"

A good feeling accompanies the present that you give to anyone. The bridegroom's present to the bride has lots of significance attached to it. They are not only presents, they are commitments!

Taken in this context, wedding bands and engagements rings are very special! They are more than symbolic items of jewelry. These are repository of life long commitment to love and trust.

Your sweet emotions and untold goodwill is involved in these presents. In fact, they are the secret barometers of love, commitment, fidelity and eternity.

The History of Wedding Bands goes back to the 15th century.

The royal and the affluent people needed some thing to exhibit their wealth during the wedding ceremony. Golden rings encased with precious stones became order of the day, during such important ceremonies like engagement and wedding. Gradually, it turned out to be a social custom.

Why the gift of ring only? Why not a pendant?

Deep, touchy emotions are involved in this exchange of gifts. The word eternal gets the respect of the throne in these moments of human bond! It is eternal love, eternal happiness, eternal unfailing commitment and eternal togetherness. Rings take the honor because rings signify eternity. It is twice-blessed. It blesses the giver, it blesses the recipient!

The ring is a circle, it has no break. It is without the end or the beginning. It is eternal. Eternal things are immutable and indestructible.

And do you know the direct route to the heart...the Grand-trunk road...the royal highway to the kingdom of love?

It is the fourth finger of your left hand. It is believed that it has a vein that leads directly to the heart. Therefore, both engagement and wedding rings are worn on this particular finger. The finger is thus the shortcut to her heart.

You can not think of a wedding without the wedding ring in any part on this planet thus!

Thank you, whosoever you are, for having discovered this direct route to the heart through the fourth finger!

And thank you for discovering only one route! <bio>http://www.weddingleague.com/ and Wedding Bands provides detailed information on blood pressure, causes of wedding, wedding gifts, wedding ideas and more. </bio>

It is well known that Egyptian history is closely aligned with Hebrew history. Abraham, Jacob, Joseph and Moses interacted to a significant degree in the history of Egypt. King Solomon was attacked by Shishak of Egypt; Josiah was killed by Pharaoh Necho. Isaiah predicted that the fortune of Egypt would depend on its relationship with Israel in the latter days. Therefore is it possible to adjust the Egyptian Chronology using the Fourth Day Chronology we have developed so far?

Consider Noah's flood. If there is an event that can leave its mark on a culture like no other it would be a global event like the flood of Noah. Fortunately there have been scientists that consider the global flood a reality and they have searched for and found evidence for it. However the same approach has not been taken by historians. They have not looked for evidence that the global flood affected the ancient cultures. If the global flood did occur could this be reflected in the history of Egypt?

Imagine the beginning of the world as the descendants of Adam and Eve begin to procreate and fill the globe. Families had to protect themselves from animals, weather and other people. Tribes, groups of families, began to form as the population grew. Tribes offered more safety than individual families. However, tribes would often fight against one another and the mightiest of the tribes would "absorb" other tribes until these "mega" tribes would form nations. So if a global flood occurred, a period of induction from the end of the flood until populations rebounded to their pre-flood levels would occur. Evidence of this would be small tribes skirmishing until they absorbed other tribes until they became large tribes. Large tribes would then battle for dominance so that they could form nations. David Rohl provides evidence of such a situation (page 14, Pharoahs and Kings). Rohl states that after the Old Kingdom's glory is followed by the first low in the history of ancient Egypt, the First Intermediate Period (the 7th through the 12th dynasties). Rohl than proposes the following scenario to explain the fracturing of the Egyptian kingdom. The fall of the great pyramid age appears to coincide with severe changes in the climate of the region. Droughts that were the results of a series of major earthquakes led to the collapse of major city-states in Canaan and the inhabitants of Canaan invade Egypt. These invaders are responsible for the fragmentation of Egypt into petty kingdoms just as was the situation prior to Egypt's unification under the first pharaoh of Egypt, Menes.

I have a different explanation for the fragmentation of Egypt into petty kingdoms. I don't believe the Egypt had been fragmented but rather the presence of these petty kingdoms indicated that Egypt's population was growing after the global flood. This can be seen be looking at Egypt's history in the first few dynasties. I believe Menes was the first king of Egypt ever. I believe Menes is one of the "mighty men of reknown", one of the first kings of the earth (Genesis 6:4) : "And there were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, the men of reknown." I believe Menes was a great warrior that was able to defeat all the tribes around him and assembly the nation of Egypt for the very first time. I believe the sudden demise of the Old Kingdom, the great pyramid age, was caused by the global flood. The droughts (caused by a change of climate due to major earthquakes) were symptoms that the earth was about to go through a dramatic change.

The global flood then occurs in the beginning of the first intermediate period and the presence of the petty kingdoms in the first intermediate period is the evidence that mankind is trying to re-establish its former population after the flood. Therefore the First Intermediate Period should not be dated 2152 B.C., but according to the Fourth Day Chronology the beginning of the First Intermediate Period should be 2313 B.C., the year of the global flood, or about 161 years earlier. If the Egyptian Chronology is shifted back 161 years the dating of Menes' reign would be corrected to the year 3081 B.C. which would be between the dates of the birth for Lamech (3095 B.C.) and Noah (2913 B.C.) according to the Fourth Day: Why the Bible is Historically Accurate chronology. This dating for Menes would make his presence consistent with the biblical appearance of the "men of renown". <bio>My name is Darren Thompson and I am a chemical engineer that has worked in the rocket propulsion industry for over 15 years.
Are you one of those people who love to cook? If you love cooking, you might want to put your talents to work and set up your own home based catering business. The good thing about setting up your business at home is that you get to earn money while keeping an eye on the kids.

Formulating your business plan

Before to start your business, be sure that you have a sound business plan. Always bear in mind that your business plan is very important if you want to succeed in your business. You don't really need a complicated business. All you need is a list of things that you need to do to get things started, have a business goal, a timeframe and a budget. Now, don't runaway yet, it's not really as complicated as it sounds. You don't need to have a PhD to write your business plan. To make a simplified business plan, just get a piece of paper and divide it into four columns. The first column should be allocated for particulars where you will write all the things that you will to do, the second column could be for time frame where you get to write the time and date when you will need to perform the task that you listed in your column for particulars, the third column will not be for your expected expenses and the fourth column will be for your expected output.

When formulating your business plan, make sure that you list all the things that need to be done, preferably in a chronological order or in your order of priorities. For instance, since you are setting up a home based catering business, you will need to get cooking equipments. On your fist column, you may write there purchase of equipments and cooking utensils. Make sure that you identify all the equipments and utensils that you need. You may write then according to your priorities. On the second column, write when you will purchase these things. In case you are not planning to purchase all your equipments all at the same time, write the different target dates you have. For your third column, estimate how much money you need to get you equipments. You may also write in your business plan as to where you intend to get the money from.

The fourth column of simplified business plan can be a bit tricky. Here you will make some business projections. If you are buying equipments, you will need to project how you will be able to recover the cost of your investment. Be realistic in your projections. Always bear in mind that it will not do your any good to be overly optimistic. Always be conservative when making projections. It is always better to exceed your projected income than to fall miserably below it. <bio>Kal Bartal is owner of http://bartal.biz and writes on a variety of subjects.
Real Estate in Chicago Continues to Boom

Based on a sluggish economy and a large supply of available properties, economists expected real estate in Chicago to move at a slower pace

in the fourth quarter of 2004 and into the first quarter of 2005.

To the Contrary...Real Estate in Chicago

A search of local records in Chicago, Illinois shows that 6,300 new homes were sold in 2004, an 80% increase in sales over the previous year.

The bulk of those sales came in the fourth quarter, which is traditionally a slow sales period for real estate in Chicago.

Since the New Year, residential real estate in Chicago, IL hasn't skipped a beat in sales, contributing to new national home sales records and surpassing those set in the 1980's. Realty experts are citing the popularity of condos converted from apartment high rises as well as an influx of new first time buyers as major influences in this growth. Chicago continues to attract a diverse group of buyers, including empty nesters and those looking to upgrade after selling their current home.

Sales of real estate in Chicago were led by the sale of condos, which enjoyed a 3.4% increase over last year. The demands within this segment also led to an increase of just over 7% in the median price, placing pricing in the range of $211,000.

Real estate in the Chicago area saw a slight drop-off in single family home sales, with a nearly 5% drop from the previous year. This drop in market share is attributed to the desire for the condo lifestyle. For those of you who think that this lack of interest in single family homes has brought about a drop in price, think again. You'll find that the price for a single family home in Chicago rose almost 10%, placing the median price at $279,000.

If you're interested in buying property in the Chicago real estate market, whether you prefer the city or a location in the suburbs, call or email your realty agent now so that you can begin your search of available properties. <bio>Paul Gorney is a real estate expert and writer for various real estate publications in the U.S. http://www.AgentsAcrossAmerica.com is easy to find when you have expert help. </bio>

The general rule is that greyhounds run until they reach their 5th birthday. At least, that's what most "experts" have written over the years. However, if you look at a program, you'll find that there are dogs who are more than 5 at almost all the tracks.

As a matter of fact, if you check the dogs' ages at smaller tracks like Hinsdale and Ebro, you'll find many dogs who are older than 5. I once bet on a seven year old dog who won and paid $32, but that was back in my wilder and crazier days. The dog was a little female who got out pretty good, but not first, and closed at the end of the race.

It was beautiful to watch, the way she threaded her way through the pack and nipped the leader at the wire. But then, she'd been doing that for at least 6 years, so it was old hat for her. She was an exception. Most greyhounds are ready to hang up their muzzles by the time they're 5.*

If a dog doesn't have any serious injuries, and it's a strong, healthy dog, it can still race when it's over 5, as long as it's legal in the state where it runs. Different states - and different tracks - have different rules. When you're handicapping the races and trying to decide whether an older dog is a contender, there are some things you have to take into consideration.

While older dogs can still run, no matter how good they are, over time they slow down. If they're breakers, they may not be able to outbreak the younger dogs. They'll start getting out second instead of first, and then third and fourth as they slow down. If they're closers, they may not have the same reserve of strength at the end of the race, so they'll close to second, then third, then fourth.

They'll be less consistent. Their win percentage will do down and their place and show percentages may go up. They may need more days between races to recover, but whether they get that or not depends on the racing secretary, their trainers and owners. This is something you can look for on the program when you see an older dog. Notice whether it's had more days off than other dogs.

Of course, there are some outstanding dogs - the dogs who win stakes races with very fast times - who manage to stay competitive longer than most dogs. These are the Mickey Mantles and Babe Ruths of dog racing. They're so much better than most of the other dogs that their decline isn't as noticeable. However, even super dogs reach a point where they either just can't make it in the lowest grade or go to the stud farm before they're too old for that kind of performance.

If you're concerned about age when you handicap, my advice is not to consider it a major factor like post position, running style, pace of the race etc. However, if it comes down to two dogs who are almost exactly alike for other factors, I'd take a close look at the older dog's in-the-money percentages. If they're low, it could indicate that the dog is slipping and not as likely to come in.

We all get old. I'm sure I was sharper when I was younger. But on the other hand, other factors compensate for sharpness as we age. I know I'm a better handicapper now than I was when I was younger. I may not be as fast, but I'm more thorough. Old dogs may not be as fast, but if they're still managing to avoid being graded off, you have to admit that they probably know their way around the track better than some of the younger dogs.<bio>Get free dog track tips, articles and sports betting systems at http://ebnetr.com.</bio>

For those who came of age in the 1980s during a time of sleek consumerism and homogenous globalization, Indiana Jones was something of an idol. Harking back to a time when the jungles of South America and the Pyramids of Egypt were truly a world away, the Indiana Jones trilogy excited in us a feeling of adventure that has been rarely seen before or since.

The popularity of the Indiana Jones movies stems not just from the fact that they were directed and acted by some of the greatest Hollywood talent of the day, but also from the fact that the movies were classic adventures. They were swashbuckling epics that found an ideal mix of adventure, intrigue and mystery, steeped in myth and mysticism.

This formula was clearly successful. The first Indiana Jones movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark, was the highest grossing movie of 1981 and was nominated for eight Academy Awards (of which it won four). The following two instalments, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade, fared almost as well, each winning an Academy Award and grossing hundreds of millions of dollars.

Since 1989, though, all has been quiet on the Indy front. Despite regular calls for a fourth movie there were no developments for years. Rumor and hearsay surrounded plans for the fourth Indiana Jones movie since 1995, when Last Crusade writer Jeffrey Boam was asked to write a script.

Since then, several screenwriters and directors have attempted to take on the project -- including Chris Columbus (Home Alone), M Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense) and Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption) -- without success.

Finally, though, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford have accepted a script written by David Koepp (Spiderman, War of the Worlds). As of July 2006 Spielberg and Koepp were fine-tuning the screenplay in advance of pre-production, expected to begin in early 2007.

The question that will be repeatedly posed by fans of the series over the next couple of years is this: will it be possible to recreate the magic of the original trilogy? Hollywood has moved on since the 1980s, and audiences have come to demand big budget CGI and dazzling visual effects. Despite winning the Academy Award for Visual Effects with Temple of Doom, the appeal of the Indiana Jones movies was never in their special effects. In fact, Temple of Doom -- admitted by Lucas and Spielberg as the most visual effects-heavy of the trilogy -- saw the most disappointing box office performance of the three.

The main concern, though, is Harrison Ford's age. Already in his 40s in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ford will be at least 65 when filming begins on the fourth movie. Even with the use of makeup, camera trickery and stuntmen, how can it be possible to remain faithful to the original trilogy when the star is old enough to draw a pension?

Despite these worries, however, one thing is certain. Come the release date a couple of years from now we'll see a sudden surge in the sales of fedoras and bullwhips. He may be old enough to qualify for a buss pass, but there's something about Indiana Jones that brings out the child in us all. <bio>James Shenton is an entertainment writer and gossip columnist. James can often be found writing about movie trilogies such as Indiana Jones and Star Wars (don't get him started on the last three episodes).
Most first time home buyers have listened to the advice from friends and family. Many encouraging you to buy a home. Often you still wonder if it is the right thing to do. The more you think about it the scarier it becomes, but reservations are normal. Here are five big reasons that you should buy a home now.

Income Tax Savings: The government subsidizes your home purchase. It allows you to fully deduct all of the mortgage interest and property taxes paid through the year on your tax return. Home ownership is an incredible tax shelter that can save you thousands on your taxes.

Savings for The Future: Every month a portion of your payment goes to principal reduction of your loan. As your loan balance gets smaller, your equity grows. Homes also typically appreciate in value when they are kept up. It depends on your location, but appreciation historically averages about 5% per year. Many people view owning a home one of the best financial decisions and a hedge against inflation.

Plenty Of Inventory: The U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development reported that inventory of homes on the market at the end of the fourth quarter in 2006 was 3.5 million. That was a 23% increase from the fourth quarter of 2005. This is great news for home buyers as with the increased supply you have increased opportunities to find the right home with all the features you want.

Two Words =96 Buyers Market: The housing market has peaks and valleys. Right now we are in a buyers market with homes staying on the market longer periods of time before they sell. That gives negotiating power to the home buyer. It is a chance for home buyers to negotiate closing costs, home warranties and other concessions from the seller. History shows that it will not always be that way and the market will swing back. The time to buy is now!

The Pride of Ownership: This is undoubtedly the number one reason people buy homes. They want the freedoms that go along with home ownership. The Bureau uses the data available on births, deaths, migration and other administrative records and survey data to develop estimates of migration for the census.

In a recent survey report, the U.S Census Bureau News has released a list of top five most populated states in the U.S. The report is based on population estimates taken from July 1, 2005 to July 1, 2006.

According to the U.S. Census report, California tops the list of the most populous states in the U.S. with a population of 36.5 million. The second most populous state was Texas with a 23.5 million followed by New York in the third position with 19.3 million residents. The fourth most populated state in the U.S. as of July 1, 2006 was Florida with a population of 18.1 million. Rounding out the top five states was Illinois in the fifth position with a population of 12.8 million.

The report also provides ranking on the top 10 fastest growing states and the top ten numeric gainers. The following are the top ten states that had a faster pace of population growth.

Arizona is America's fastest-growing state with a population rise of 3.6 %. Nevada was in second place with a population increase of 3.5 %. Idaho is the third fastest growing state with a population gain of 2.6 %. Georgia ranked fourth as its population increased by 2.5 % followed by Texas which saw a population gain of 2.5 %. Utah is in sixth place (2.4 %) followed by North Carolina (2.1 %), Colorado (1.9 %), Florida (1.8 %) and South Carolina (1.7 %).

Among numeric gainers -- the states in America that gained more people between July 1, 2005 and July 1, 2006, Texas is in the first place with an increase of 579,275 people. Second on the list is Florida with a population gain of 321,697. California stands next with a gain of 303,402 followed by Georgia (231,388). Arizona (with an increase of 213,311 people), North Carolina (with an increase of 184,046 people), Washington (with an increase of 103,899 people), Colorado (with an increase of 90,082 people), Nevada (with an increase of 83,228 people) and Tennessee (with an increase of 83,058 people), add to the top ten numeric gainers. <bio>http://www.sdhomedatabase.com http://www.university-city-home.com http://www.tierrasantarealestate.info </bio>

Hair is a threadlike, keratinized outgrowth piercing the epidermis but actually roots from the dermis. It is a characteristic feature of the mammalian class and forms the animal's outer covering or pelage. Hair grows in varying degrees among the species of the mammalian class. Most mammals have abundant hair that covers almost the entire body while humans, on the other hand, are among the hairless mammals.

Structure

Hair is made up of the hair shaft, which is exposed on the skin and the hair root, which is found deep within the dermis in a structure called the hair follicle. Hair is typically composed of dead cells, keratin and other proteins. Only the actively dividing cells at the root, which give rise to the whole hair structure, are alive.

The hair follicle, which is the portion of the hair found within the dermis of the skin, is made up of four distinct layers. The innermost layer of cells undergoes keratinization to form the medulla. The medulla is the core of the hair shaft.

Following the medulla is the layer called the cortex. The cortex forms most of the internal structure of the hair. This layer undergoes keratinization more than the medulla.

The third layer of the hair is the cuticle. Overlapping keratin plates form this layer. This arrangement of the cuticle prevents matting of the hair follicle. The hair shaft is composed only of these three layers. It does not contain the fourth and fifth layers.

The fourth layer of the hair is the internal root sheath. This layer is almost unkeratinized and disappears at the level of sebaceous glands. This leaves a space through which the glands secrete sebum and coat the hair shaft.

The fifth and the outermost layer is the external root sheath. This layer is not involved in the formation of the hair.

Types

Lanugo is the first hair type that develops in humans. It is made up of soft, slender hair that appears on the third to fourth months of fetal life. These hairs usually shed off after birth.

Vellus hair is the term used to identify the short hairs found all over the body except the palms, soles, and the underside of the fingers.
Terminal hair develops from vellus hair during puberty. Terminal hairs are coarser, longer and more pigmented than vellus hair. They usually develop on the armpits, genital areas, faces of males, and in some parts of the trunk and legs. The most obvious of the terminal hairs is the head hair.

Functions

The most important function of hair is heat conservation in order to insulate the body from the cold temperature. In other mammals, different hair color and color patterns serve as defense mechanisms by acting as camouflage. Modified hairs called quills like those of the porcupine serve as physical defense mechanisms.

Phases of Hair Growth

Anagen phase is the growth phase of the hair cycle. 85% of the hair is in the growth phase which lasts for about 2 to 6 years.

Catagen phase is the transitional phase between the two. This usually takes about 1-2 weeks. During this phase, the hair follicle shrinks and the hair root diminishes.

Telogen phase is the resting phase of hair growth. It lasts for about five to six weeks. About 10-15% of the entire hair is in this phase of the cycle. At this phase, 25-100 hair normally falls off.<bio>This article was provided by the London Hair Replacement Clinic and Wig Trendz Women's Wigs</bio>
