Coin collection is not synonymous with possessing as many coins as possible. What is important is the quality of the coins rather than the quantity of them. The coin's grade is the yardstick to measure its quality. You can measure the grade by using a scale ranged between 0 to 70 which is the highest point grade. This point scale was introduced by Doctor William Shelby in his work "Penny Whimsy". The classifications of coins according to grade are as follows:

1.Coins in "Mint State":

According to Shelby's grade scale, this is equivalent to a value of 60 to 70. In other words, the coins are blemish free. Majority of the coins of this type are new, shiny, uncirculated with absolutely no signs of wear n tear.

2.Coins which are almost uncirculated:

The point grade for these types of coins varies between 50, 55 or 58. It is very important for the coin collectors to be aware of the locations of the high points in a specific coin. An almost uncirculated coin is separated from the mint state coins by comparing the difference of the light reflected in other parts of the coin to the high points.

3.Fine coins:

Depending on the sharpness of the remaining details on the coins, fine coins can further be classified into FINE (12), VERY FINE (20, 25, 30 AND 35) OR EXTREMELY FINE (40, 45). The designs on the coins are still intact but the coins nevertheless show signs of wear n tear. The mint luster is intact in ETREMELY FINE coins. Very FINE coins resemble coins which have been in circulation for 1 to 3 years, with their minor features worn down by use.

4.Good coins:

This category can be further sub-divided into Almost GOOD, GOOD and VERY GOOD (12). THESE coins HAVE BEEN ALMOST completely WORN DOWN BY USE. THE DETAILS IN THE HIGH POINTS HAVE BEEN RENDERED nearly smooth and only weak designs can be observed. The VERY GOOD coins show full rims. The mint mark and the date must be visible in case of GOOD coins. The ALMOST GOOD coins are the most worn out ones.

5.Fair coins:

Any coin that can be identified is a FAIR C. Although worn out, they can still be distinguished as belonging to some or the other variety/type of coins.

6.Basal coin:

In this particular variety, the metals of which the coins are made can be distinguished, but the kind of coins cannot be determined.

Armed with the knowledge of classification and grades of coins, you will find it easy to grade a coin which is a great advantage while collecting them. <bio>Mohammed Shomam is involved with an online coin collecting project that informs and educates the coin collecting enthusiast through well-written articles.
There are many details that go into a home owner insurance policy.

If you think that a home owner insurance policy is nothing more than a piece of paper you should reconsider. The fact of the matter is that a lot of work goes into preparing a home owner insurance policy.

For people who are not aware of all the details of a policy problems may arise somewhere down the line. So in order to combat these issues you will want to look into what a home owner insurance policy offers.

One thing that you should know before starting is that no two home owner insurance policies are the same.

Many people think that every company offers the same type of policy to all of their customers.

It may be true that two home owners have similar policies, but as far as there being a "standard option" there is no such thing.

When you buy your home owner insurance policy you will be getting what is best for you and your home. This is something that you will need to work out with your insurer so that you get what is best.

The first thing to look at on a home owner insurance policy is how much coverage you are getting. Your coverage amount will be directly affected by how much your premium is.

The higher your premium the more coverage you are going to receive. Of course this will differ from company to company, but all in all this is the way that things break down.

Additionally, look at the cost of your home owner insurance policy. Do not get caught thinking that you have to pay a high premium for your home owner insurance policy just because one insurer said so. Remember, every company offers different premium levels when it comes to home owner insurance policy.

Overall, there are many fine details of home owner insurance policies that you must become familiar with.

If you take these details for granted you may not get what you want in the end. And obviously, your home owner insurance policy is something that is very important so you want it to be the best. After all, this is what will protect one of the biggest investments that you will ever make. <bio>Download a free ebook that shows you how to get the best mortgage: http://www.freelandproperty.com/ </bio>

There are many details to consider if you are going to get involved with owner financing. Remember, this is not the same as getting a loan from a bank or mortgage lender. If you are going to get involved with owner financing, that is perfectly fine. But with that in mind, you need to make sure that you are aware of the details that surround this type of deal. Remember, when you are not working with a bank or lender, things are going to be a bit different. While this may not bother you, some people feel that owner financing is a bit too risky. All in all, this is a decision that you will have to make on your own.

The first thing that you must consider is how long you will have to pay your loan when dealing with owner financing. With a traditional 30 year fixed rate mortgage, you more or less know exactly what you are up against. But with owner financing, this may be far from the case. Make sure that the term of you owner financing is detailed in depth so that you do not end up getting the bad end of the deal in the long run.

To go along with the owner financing term, you also need to take a closer look at the interest rate that you are going to pay. Just like a loan that you will get from the bank, you are going to have to pay interest to the owner. Of course, this should be negotiable, but with owner financing you usually have to pay a higher rate. This is common because it goes a long way in protecting the owner of the property.

But speaking of protection, what are you doing to keep yourself safe? When dealing with owner financing, you need to make sure that you know what you are getting yourself into. Is the owner somebody that you can trust? Are you afraid that they are going to leave you hanging? The best way to avoid a skeptical situation is to not get involved at all. But if you are going to, make sure that you take the time to have a perfect contract in place. As you can see, owner financing is not something that you should jump into without thinking about what you are doing. Take your time when deciding if owner financing would suit your current financial situation.

For HDB Rental units in Singapore visit http://www.rentinsingapore.com/browse/all/all/all <bio>Kim Lee writes for Singapore rental portal http://www.RentInSingapore.com </bio>

Anyone who wishes to apply for an equity loan should learn as much as they can about the many different loans available to find one that suits their needs the best. Note that some equity loans have annual fees, closing costs and require application while others do not. There are also a number of lenders who provide 100% tax deductible loans, hence offering additional savings to the borrower.

One of the types of loans available is called fixed-rate loans. The advantage of this type of loan is that it allows the borrower to transfer the variable rate principal into a fixed rate alternative. Despite this being so, the lender may stipulate the amount available for conversion and may even fix boundaries to the loan options. Home equity loans may not indicate that there are closing costs payable, but if one reads the fine print, one will notice that the borrower is liable to pay closing cost on a fixed amount.

One instance where closing costs may be applicable is when the borrower applies for less than the amount agreed by the lender. There are also a few other loans that may require the borrower to pay the cost of appraisal. It is necessary to read the terms and conditions when one applies for a loan, as many lenders don't advertise certain clauses regarding exclusions and restrictions, etc.

By reading the fine print one is likely to pick up many vital details that the lender may choose not to divulge.

Equity loans are called as such because the borrower uses his house as collateral. Because of this fact home equity offers better interest and repayment rates and hence save money.

Failure to read the fine print may cause you to sign for a loan that gets you further into debt, as equity loans seek to roll the high rates of interest from credit cards into lower repayments. Not following the terms as set out in the fine print may result in you having to pay excessive fees you cannot afford. <bio>For more information on equity loans, including how to find the best deals please visit http://www.equity-advisor.com now. </bio>

Both of these types of consumers can benefit greatly by understanding credit card laws and how they impact 0 interest credit card lenders.

Credit Card Laws

What many consumers don't realize is that there is a whole system of laws which control the lending practices of credit card companies. The goal of these laws is to protect credit card consumers. However, credit card companies have found ways to make it so that consumers don't necessarily know these laws. For example, it is a requirement by law that credit card companies offering 0 interest cards must reveal to you what the interest rate is going to be after the introductory zero interest period runs out. However, credit card companies have the right to insert that information into lengthy pamphlets with a lot of other details in them so it's only the smart credit card consumer who benefits from knowing this law.

The Importance of Interest Rates

The reason that everyone wants 0 interest credit cards is because anytime that you pay interest, you're essentially giving a company money just for them allowing you to have a debt. As you can see, interest rates are very important then. The higher the interest rate is, the more money that you're paying to a lender for basically no reason at all. The smart credit card shopper is not only going to try to get a 0 interest credit card but is going to try to get one that's going to remain 0 interest for a long time.

How To Take Advantage of the Law

The best way that a 0 interest credit card user can take advantage of the law is to be aware of the disclosures that are required by the government. Those disclosures are there to protect you as a consumer by providing you with the information that you need to make informed choices about applying for and using your credit cards. In the case of the law discussed above, it's important for the consumer to read the fine print in applying for 0 interest cards. That fine print details the length of the zero interest period as well as what the interest will be after that period is over. It also reveals important information about fees that are associated with things like missed payments on 0 interest cards.

A Note About Online Applications

It's easy to see the fine print when a pamphlet is sent to you in the mail. However, many people complete their applications online. Before hitting "I Agree" on any online application for 0 interest credit cards, make sure that you've read and understand what you're agreeing to. Those laws are there for a reason but they only work for people who opt to protect themselves by learning what the law does to help them. <bio>Robert Alan is an editor for http://www.CreditCardAssist.com and frequently contributing writer on various credit card-related topics.
Dear Computer Lady,

I am using Windows XP Home Edition

How can I set the file sequence and get it to always come up in that sequence?

When I access a folder, the folders and files are in oldest date sequence and I would like to have them in Name sequence.

Thanks! Sam

Dear Sam,

I too have a preference for how I want to view my files. I like to have them sorted by name, and be in the "details" view. This is how you would set that up.

1. First, you want to set up your files the way you want them. Open a folder, (My Documents will work fine) by clicking on "Start" and then click on "My Documents"

2. Set up your desired view by clicking on "View" in the menu bar, then click on the view you want. I prefer the "Details" view, but you can try the different views until you find the one you like the best. Your options are: Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, and Details.

3. When you have your preferred view, the next step is to sort them. This is simple to do, just click on the heading you want to sort them by. For example, if you are using the "Details" view, the heading across the top of the window are: Name, Size, Type, and Date Modified. If you want to sort by name in alphabetical order, click on the "Name" header and your files will be sorted by name from A to Z. Click on "Name" again, and the order will be reversed and they will be sorted from Z to A. The sort will always list folders at the top, and files at the bottom (unless you reverse the sort, then folders will be at the bottom)

Click on "Size" and your files will be sorted from smallest to largest.

If the view you are using does not have the headings across the top, you can access them by right clicking on a blank spot in the window, then pointing to "Arrange Icons By" and then selecting your option.

4. Once you have your window set up the way you want it to be, you need to set this view to be the default view for all your folders. Click on "Tools" in the menu bar, then click on "Options".

5. In the Options window, click on the "View" tab.

6. On the View page, click the button that says "Apply to All Folders".

7. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Elizabeth <bio>Elizabeth Boston is the author of the free, weekly e-newsletter, Ask The Computer Lady, in which she teaches thousands of computer users easy, step by step computing solutions.
Indemnity is an insurance applied to equity loans, which covers the lender in the event the borrower should default on the repayments. The indemnity is usually applied when the home equity is lower than the amount owed on the pending mortgage.

One hundred percent mortgage loans are often offered to homeowners who have less equity against the balanced owed. Many lenders will offer "90% loan to value," which details an amount of "90%" of the face value of the home.

The 100% mortgage loans are offered so that homebuyers can get 100% loan to value. These loans are disturbing in one way, since the borrower is venturing a higher risk of losing his home. These particular loans are offered above the law, since the law stipulates that lenders are not permitted to give more than 75% equity worth to borrowers. However, lenders took a venture and have made waves in offering such loans to specific groups, known as negative equity borrowers. It is important to understand loan details to avoid loss.

Lenders consider themselves at risk when lending money, but rarely do they consider the potential loss to borrowers. Therefore, make sure you do your research and learn more about the loans available to you, including learning the APR, deposits, mortgage repayments, and so on--and specifically the terms and conditions of each loan offered.

The terms and conditions are vital to understand, because there are always messages in the fine print that will significantly alter the loan package. If you have never taken out an equity loan previously, you will need to consider a number of other things, including what your best potential bargaining options are for each lender and corresponding loan. If you do not consider these options, you may easily be back into an unfavorable contract, which could lead you to financial ruin. <bio>James Mahony is the founder of Equity Loan Handbook - A site dedicated to Equity Loan Information http://www.equityloanhandbook.com http://www.thecreditsource.com http://www.articlesforwebsitecontent.com </bio>

Getting a traffic ticket can really get into your nerves, especially when you are in a hurry and you had a bad day at the office. But bear in mind that losing control when being pulled over is not a good idea if you want to get out of that traffic ticket immediately. Here are some points to remember if you want to get out of traffic ticket instantly.

The first thing that you must remember is to be polite and always be cooperative. Being hot tempered might just get you more into trouble. Keep it cool and if you are lucky, you might just get a warning instead.

Never admit your guilt. Do not create bizarre stories or make excuses. Always respond politely and simply. Be honest at all times, particularly if you just get a warning. However, if you are issued traffic ticket and make a decision to challenge it, put in mind that whatever admissions you make can be used against you. Upon receiving the traffic ticket, review and check it for accuracy. If ever you observe something wrong, ask the officer right away but make sure to be polite in making the request.

Start to prepare your defense straight away, after receiving the traffic ticket from the police officer. Take down notes, especially those significant details such as road and traffic conditions, time of day, the weather and any justifying conditions. Take pictures if possible. Pictures can help with your defense. Pay attention to details, make illustrations of the road presenting the position of the officer and in what direction you were going and where you stopped.

Read and understand the instructions, as well as the useful information on the traffic ticket. It will help you to know the next step and the right things to do. Observe and find out what misdemeanor you are alleged. You can do this by looking at the ticket's code number.

You must know the cost of the conviction like the jail and community service, fine and other compulsory programs, as well as the insurance rates. Make a decision if you need a lawyer. If your traffic desecration is just minor, it is better not to have an attorney.

It is your right to request for a trial if your ticket does not contain a court date. If you have a minor violation, there is an option for fine. Gather much information as possible.

Think about traffic school. There are rules that recommend an alternative to go to traffic school. This is one way for your charges to be reduced or dismissed. It is also a good idea to appeal for a continuance of the hearing. In most rules, the officer who presented you the traffic ticket should show up at the hearing and if the officer does not show up, the case will be dismissed.

You must plan for your defense and you must know how to argue your case before making the decision to be in court. Remember not to plead guilty.<bio>Ready to beat your traffic ticket? Learn how to get out of it 100% with NO FINE and NO POINTS on your record.
It is so common these days for people to fill out an online credit card application, that most people do not think twice about providing their personal information over the internet. But applying for a credit card is serious business. You could get into trouble by offering incorrect or incomplete information. And worse, you could sign up for what you think is a low apr credit card and end up being charged exorbitant interest with no recourse.

When you go online to check out credit card offers, you will find a myriad of deals to choose from. Narrow your search terms down to criteria that is important to you, such as low interest, introductory interest free period, long grace period, reward program, airline mile rewards, or cash back credit cards. When you find an offer that meets your needs, you should be able to fill out the online credit card application right away. However, before you proceed, there are some things to keep in mind.

Be sure to read all the fine print. Unfortunately, some companies will not make this easy for you. Most online forms, just like standard applications, have the details of limitations or increasing rates in fine print at the bottom of the form. However, you may have to manually click a link to view these restrictions. Look for a link to a section titled Terms and Conditions for all the details of the offer. It is vital that you take the time to do this before filling out your application. If you do not read the restrictions of a card agreement and you sign the agreement anyway, you will still be held liable for any violation of that agreement. Remember that an online credit card application is a legal document that gives your approval for the company to check your credit.

After you read all the terms, it is a good idea to print out a copy of the information, as well as a copy of the online credit card application before you submit it. Keeping these types of records now can protect you later. <bio>Jacie Caballero is a freelance writer based on the West Coast of California.
It never happened if it is not in writing. Your wedding planning should result in many written contracts to protect yourself. Smart people planning their weddings make sure the details are in writing. Your wedding planning journey is incomplete without written contracts for everything from your reception venue, photographer, wedding cake, and more.

It is not enough to like the vendor you meet, and it doesn't matter if you like them. It is insignificant is it is a reputable company. Unless you have binding, written, and signed contract, it never happened. Just think of all the hard work you put in could be wasted without written proof to protect you. Keep in mind that a written contract not only protects the consumer, it also protects the vendor. It is good for everyone.

There are so many details that have to be done for your wedding that it is impossible to keep it all in your head. You may have all the details you want in your written notes, but those details must find their way to the official written contract. You may show up for your reception only to find that the room is not available for another 3-hours, because there was a scheduling conflict. To make it worse, when you look in your contract the time of your reception is not noted. Because you allowed such an important detail to be omitted from the contract you are not protected. You may learn that the chef decided to substitute lobster with shrimp.

The details above are only a couple of examples to show you how important it is to include details in your contract. Never assume anything, include it in the contract. Even if you think it is trivial to worry about such details, include it all in the contract to protect yourself.

Getting a written contract is worthless unless you fully understand it. That means you have to carefully read it. You may ask a wedding planner or an attorney to go over it with you to make sure you are not missing anything important. Don't allow anyone to pressure you into signing any contract before reading it. If you are being pressured to sign on the spot, it is time to walk. <bio>Author: George Meszaros with http://www.beachweddingfavor.com </bio>

When buying fine jewelry, it is expected to look for the best quality at an affordable price. However, if you're new to the world of fine jewelries, then it is best to take extra caution to ensure that you're dealing with a reliable jeweler with authentic lines of fine jewelry.

Buying fine jewelry can be overwhelming because of the wide variety of choices. For this reason, it is important that you know the basic terms used in the industry to ensure that the item you bought online or through jewelry shops is 100% original fine jewelry.

The Golden Truth of Jewelry

When searching for the perfect golden piece of fine jewelry, "24-karat gold" is usually one of the commonly used terms. This kind of gold is made by mixing with other kinds of metal, which increases durability and hardness of the fine jewelry. A 24-karat gold fine jewelry is the highest grade of gold around.

The term karat signifies the amount of gold a certain item has. For instance, a 14-karat golden ring contains only fourteen parts of gold, and the remaining ten is mixed with other based metals. As a general thumb, the higher number of karat, the higher quality a jewelry is.

Revealing the Metals of Jewelry

Contrary to popular belief, platinum is more expensive than gold. Platinum is a kind of precious metal, which is usually combined with other metals to achieve its perfect form. Instead of "karat" markings for gold, "thousands" calculate the quality of platinum fine jewelry.

For instance, if you buy an 800 Platinum jewelry, this means that the 800 parts of your jewelry is made out of pure platinum, while the remaining 200 parts are made out of other metals like palladium, osmium, rhodium, ruthenium and other kinds of metals from the platinum group.

Fine Jewelry from the Nature's Best

If you're a nature-lover, you'll probably be looking for fine jewelry that are originally found in nature. These kinds of jewelries include gemstones, diamonds and pearls. However, some of these exquisite items are manufactured, synthesized or made in laboratories.

Depending on your taste and style, you can use these natural fine jewelries as anything you like. With the different kinds of fine jewelry available in the market, you'll never be short of simple or extravagant jewelries. With a little bit of patience, knowledge and cash, you can now enjoy the best of fine jewelry and pass it on to the next generation. <bio>Ann Mariera writes articles about family life and health issues.
Ah, there's nothing better than taking a vacation. Daydreaming about an island breeze seducing you into an afternoon sleep or planning your hiking adventure, any concept of an escape is always welcome. Unlike some people, I absolutely love planning my vacations. I love finding information on different purposes and looking for those great hotel and airfare deals. The best hotel and airfare deals are usually found when purchasing a vacation package, but once in a while, you can get great discounts when purchasing separately.

The internet has tons of sites that will gladly help you find the airfare deals you are looking for. I have found and been very frightened with several places because of their truthfulness. I booked an amazing airfare deal through Orbitz last year, and saved more money than I would have otherwise. I can't tell you which travel sites are the best because I've compared many of them before and found that most of them are pretty much offering the same exact deal, just perhaps a few dollars different.

In all honesty, my travel agent wasn't charging me much more than those sites were. Sure, it was maybe $20 more, but maybe that's worth the convenience of having the agent take care of all the details for you. I suppose it depends on your budget and need for someone else to take care of all the details.

My absolute favorite vacation was a trip to California. I live on the east coast so a trip to the west coast was very exciting. I spent an entire week comparing hotel prices and costs of entertainment. Once I had my destinations planned, I spent a few days researching airfare deals. It actually amazed me at how different each airline was with its cost. I did manage to find some great airfare deals online and took advantage of them.

A lot of resorts, such as Sandals, allow you to purchase a package with includes airfare and hotel accommodations. I've never taken the time to break down all of the costs and see which purchase is the best way to go, but in my opinion, instead of searching for amazing airline deals and hotel rates, go for the package. Let someone else take care of all of the details for you. That makes vacation planning much less demanding.

Be cautious of those amazing airfare deals that have lots of restrictions in fine print. Read all of those tiny words and make sure you aren't purchasing something that you don't really want. Sometimes you can get airfare deals that require many layovers or late night flights. I am personally fine with taking a night flight but can't stand layovers.

Once I'm on a plane, don't make me move until I'm at my destination. If those restrictions don't bother you, you may find yourself getting some great money saving airfare deals. Whatever hotel you stay at or airline you choose, just make sure you have a wonderful vacation. <bio>Tavis J.
Your wedding day is often one that has been planned for many months; the memories of which will always stay with you. In the process of planning your wedding you have had to decide between a myriad of vendors who are hired to make your special day go smoothly and to help you infuse your wedding with personal style reflective of both of you. But when it comes to choosing vendors, none is ultimately more important than the photographer - simply because those photographs will tell the story of your wedding for years to come. When choosing the style of photography, you may want to consider fine art wedding photography =96 a unique way in which to capture your special day.

Fine art wedding photography takes the photographs taken at your wedding and turns them into works of art; a photographer skilled in such photography can manipulate the photographs in such a way that they will forever capture the spirit and style of your wedding day. Such photography is meant to be displayed throughout your home and passed on through the generations.

There are many photographers who are skilled in the more traditional styles of wedding photography. But, in this day and age, more and more photographers are exploring their more creative side and offering such creativity on to their clients. With the advent of the Internet, photographers have been able to showcase these skills; and clients are able to browse through the work of each photographer in an effort to find those photographers who are in line with the photography they envision for their wedding.

Once you find those photographers who are skilled in fine art wedding photography you should meet with them to determine if you like and trust them on a personal level. A photographer =96 more than any other vendor at your wedding =96 will be right along with you during the course of your wedding day. It is vitally important that you feel comfortable in their presence so that they are able to get the shots they need.

Fine art wedding photography can help you communicate the tone of your wedding for those who were not there and as memories for you to cherish for a lifetime. <bio>For easy to understand, in depth information about fine art wedding photography visit our ezGuide 2 http://weddingphotography.ezguide2.com </bio>

If you think it is difficult to choose a fine wine for your self or as a gift you are not completely wrong, buying such a wine is something you need to do some research for. But when you know what to look for it is much easier then you would think. There are many resources you can use online as well as offline. But when you are looking for a wine for yourself the key factor is your own personal preference, because it does not matter if the wine won big awards and how highly recommended a wine is , if the wine is not at your taste it is just not for you.

If you do not like that award winning, highly recommended, fine wine, it does not mean there is something wrong with your taste it just means that you have not found the right type of wine. Wine comes in different types a Merlot, chardonnay, Riesling, zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon or others. If you discover that you are a Merlot drinker and someone gives you an excellent Riesling that is a real fine wine, probably the best on the market, don't automatically assume that you will love it just because it is highly recommend. When a wine is not your type you will just not like it.

Affordable fine wines

Drinking wine is not just something only the rich and wealthy can afford, good wines have become more affordable these days. And this is a good thing there was a time that wine, wine tasting and wine drinking was just for a certain type of people, and there was a high 'snob' appeal surrounding it. Luckily this is no longer the case. Fine wines can still come with a higher price tag then the wines that are considered ordinary and can be bought at any wine store.

Wines can win prizes for there taste and when this is the case, the prizes can be pretty expensive. But there are ways to drink fine wines for a reasonable price, for example you can join clubs that give you access to wines at a normal price than what you would pay outside these kind of clubs. Picking out wines from smaller vineyards can also help you with finding fine wines at a very reasonable price.

Developing a taste for it

When you are just starting with drinking wine, you need to discover what kind of wines are to your taste and you can do this by tasting less high-end wines. By doing this you learn what type of wines you like and don't like. When you know what you like and you buy a fine wine that has the same flavors and characteristics but is of a better quality you will know what everybody was talking about for years.

Wine that needs to age

Some wines will become better when they are are left in the cellar for a couple of years, but when you do not have the right facilities or you do not have a wine cellar you should not buy these wines otherwise it is possible that your expensive bottle of fine wine will taste like awful vinegar when you finally open it.<bio>Jean Bolton loves to give gifts and wine is her favorite. She shows that wine recipes or food and wine magazine make a perfect gift.</bio>

Investing in fine art often requires more than collecting art itself. Great masters will learn the rules just to break them, and they often experiment with color and shadow in combinations that natural light fails to illuminate in full detail. Fine art lamps help you maximize your investment by bringing out textures and patterns that would otherwise remain hidden from view. Fine art lamp lighting constitutes an art form in itself, providing a decorative element that can blend with any number of design schemes.

The trick to fine art lamp lighting is to emphasize the artwork without the distracting appearance of the lights themselves. We often employ low voltage solutions with a less-is-more approach to equipment itself. Utilizing advanced technical understanding of how light works and how it behaves, it is possible to employ such tools as framing projectors and low voltage accent lights to showcase your artwork. This knowledge proves especially useful to eliminating shadows cast by improperly positioned fine art lamplights. After all, why would you want to invest a small fortune in a painting only to hide it in shadow? With knowledge of actual physics of electricity and light, you can design a fine art lighting theme with lamps and projectors that minimizes equipment visibility, maximizes color and style, and eliminates shadows that obscure details and ambiance.

Illuminating color often proves the most challenging task of any designer working with fine art. Artificial light casts a different visible spectrum than natural light, and consequently certain color combinations employed by the artist may remain undetected in any scenario other than direct sunlight. Do not be tempted to put such art near the window, however. Ultraviolet radiation can break down paint and even damage certain canvases, especially if the piece is many decades or even centuries old. Over the years, light fixture manufacturers have developed synthetic alternatives to natural light by positioning specific types of halogen lamps around fine art pieces and producing a spectrum equivalent to sunlight without harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation.

This produces an illumination scheme reflective of the artist's original vision, highlighting colors and patterns practically invisible to lesser artificial spectrums. When working with such sophisticated equipment, you must remember aesthetics as well as function. Most companies that install fine art lamps and lighting equipment simply do not take the time to study the many finer nuances of art itself, and few have little interest, if any, in creating a layout equivalent to the work of a professional designer. If you are serious about fine art lamp lighting, look for a vendor such that has invested years of training and thousands of dollars to equip its staff with a knowledge of interior decorating that makes method of fine art lamp and lighting design an art form in itself.

Be certain as well that the vendor you ultimately choose represents the world's top art lighting and art lamp manufacturers. This ensures the greatest number of choices in commercial grade equipment, and it adds to the creative potential of the design by removing the barriers of a limited inventory or cheaper grade materials.

Working with a design-consulting vendor with years of training and expertise can combine the technical with the creative and deliver a comprehensive solution unsurpassed in the industry. <bio>Tom Kretzchmar owns and oversees Illuminations Lighting and Design, a lighting design/consulting vendor of commercial and residential high-end indoor and outdoor lighting systems.
Uninsured drivers are ten times more likely to drink and drive and three times more likely to be convicted of driving without due care and attention. They also cause one accident every six months. In fact one in twenty motorists regularly drive without insurance. It's therefore not perhaps surprising that, one in ten of all motorists have been involved in accidents with uninsured drivers. The question is what to do if you're involved in an accident with one?

At the time of the accident you're unlikely to realise that the other driver is uninsured so you'll have to react in the normal way. Take a note of the other car's make, model and registration number. Also note the other driver's name and address -- but whether he'll give you his correct details is perhaps unlikely! Nevertheless, always record what the other driver says. Unless you have this information you'll have no leg to stand on when it comes to getting some of your money back.

Also take notes about the damage to the other car and the accident scene. Remember to note road markings, road signs, light and weather conditions and whether the other car had its lights on -- in fact as much detail as possible. Then if you're lucky enough to have an independent witness get their full contact details. And if you happen to have a camera in the car, take lots of pictures - and try and get one with the other driver clearly in the picture. The police might like that one!

If your policy is comprehensive, your insurer pay for your car to be repaired but you could lose your no claims discount unless you've paid to protect it. But then there's the issue of your excess payment -- that's the first part of the repair cost you have to pay for. You'll have to pay that unless you're lucky enough to have a policy that waives the excess payment if you're hit by an uninsured driver.

For those of you with third party car insurance, you're in for a hard time. Your insurer won't pay for your repairs and, as the other driver is uninsured, you're not going to get any money off him unless you can trace him and succeed in a court action. Even then there's no guarantee that he'll pay up! Your only guaranteed solution is to make a compensation claim to the Motor Insurers' Bureau - but you'll still have to pay the first £300 of the claim.

The Motor Insurers' Bureau insists that have the other drivers' car registration number and you must first report the accident to the police. Always ask the police for a copy of their accident report as the Bureau's likely to ask to see it. The Bureau's telephone number is 01908 671681 or you can e-mail them on enquiries@mib.org.uk.

At the moment The UK' Law is being amended to crackdown on uninsured drivers. Not before time. Anyone keeping, not just driving, an uninsured vehicle now faces a fixed £100 fine and can also have their car seized and crushed. Currently the average fine for driving without insurance is just £170 and that's hardly a punishment when car insurance costs many times more. Losing the car plus a fine of £100 is much more realistic. Let's hope that the courts fully implement the crushing sanction!

A police spokesman said recently, " Uninsured drivers are often guilty of many other driving related offences, such as having no driving licence or MOT certificate. We're doing everything in our power to get these dangerous and illegal drivers off our roads".

We say, go to it blues and two's! <bio>Brokers Online contains a huge amount of information on car insurance ( http://www.life-assurance-bureau.co.uk/car-insurance/ ), life assurance ( http://www.life-assurance-bureau.co.uk/life-insurance/ )and pet insurance ( http://www.life-assurance-bureau.co.uk/pet-insurance/ ) </bio>

Nowadays, there are many art auction houses available online such as sotheby and ebay. However, before attempting to bid for a fine art auction, there are some points you need to take note especially if you are a beginner to art auctions.

If you are new to fine art auctions, you might first decide what it is you like to collect. Is it abstract art, oil-based painting, impression art etc?

You also might want to read up on the art category that you prefer to buy. Take for example, you are into abstract art. It would help you in your art auctions if you knew more about abstract art history, the various abstract art movements. The best way to start would be on the internet. One such site is www.artsconnected.org. They provide comprehensive search tools for visitors to research on their favorite art category.

The other way is to browse the various art magazines, books, periodicals. You could go to your local bookstore, amazon or even the local library. Visit a few fine art auction houses and get a feel for the type of art you are interested in. Art Auction houses will usually provide detailed information on the art piece being auctioned.

How Do I Know The Art Piece I Like Is Real?

Ok, so you finally found an art piece you like. The next question you are probably asking is how do I know it is authentic? Since the value of an art piece is subjective depending on the person looking at it, it would be best if you can afford it to get a professional art appraiser to value the art piece.

For large fine art auction houses such as sotheby, you can be assured that the art piece is already appraised and is authentic. However, if you are looking for an art piece at smaller auction houses or online art auctions such as ebay, you do need to be extra careful. Particularly so for online art auctions where there are many fake art pieces being auctioned.

If you like a fine art being auctioned online, the best way if possible would be to communicate with the art seller before buying. Online art auctions usually keep a track record of the art seller's sales history and can help you to determine whether the seller is a reputable person. <bio>Ricky Lim runs an fine art auction info site.
