<content:encoded><![CDATA[For many people, one of the many benefits of being employed is having an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/affordable+health+insurance" rel="tag">affordable health insurance</a> package of some sort offered to them through their employers. Of course, not all employers offer affordable health <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/insurance+packages" rel="tag"><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/insurance+package" rel="tag">insurance package</a>s</a> to their employees, nor are they legally required to, but many do. And those employees who do get affordable health insurance packages through their employers? Well, we will just imagine they are quite happy. <br /><br /> Yet, there comes a time in many of our lives when we find ourselves unemployed; and when we are unemployed, we no longer have all of the nice little perks our employers offered us, such as affordable health insurance packages. However, just because we are unemployed and without health insurance packages does not mean we're going to stop getting sick or injured and requiring those health insurance packages. <br /><br /> Is there a way for the unemployed to get affordable health insurance? <br /><br /> Yes. One option for unemployed people is to purchase a short <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/term+health+insurance" rel="tag">term health insurance</a> package. Although you must pay for the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/short+term+health+insurance" rel="tag">short term health insurance</a>, which usually last anywhere from six to 12 months, most of them are considered affordable and perfect for those individuals who have found themselves unemployed or laid off. <br /><br /> These short term <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+plans" rel="tag">health insurance plans</a> are designed to provide you and your family with affordable health insurance while you are in between employment. This means they are also designed to offer you many of the same health services your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/previous+health" rel="tag">previous health</a> insurance package offered you and your family. <br /><br /> After all, your health needs do not change just because your employment status changes. Many short term health insurance plans offer visits to the doctor, hospital services such as surgery as well as inpatient and outpatient procedures, prescription discounts, dental and vision services, and sometimes even chiropractic care. <br /><br /> If you're looking for affordable health insurance for the unemployed, begin your search with short term health insurance plans. <bio><a href="http://www.ezquoteguide.com/home/" >http://www.ezquoteguide.com/home/</a> <a href="http://www.ezquoteguide.com/car/" >http://www.ezquoteguide.com/car/</a> <a href="http://www.myquoteguide.com/Term-Policy.shtml" >http://www.myquoteguide.com/Term-Policy.shtml</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Group insurance is a plan of health, life, auto, or homeowners insurance that covers a group of people rather than an individual. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/group+insurance+policies" rel="tag">Group insurance policies</a> are generally more affordable than <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/individual+insurance+policies" rel="tag">individual insurance policies</a> because policyholders don't normally pay the full premium. They're usually only responsible for co-payment. <br /><br /> The easiest way to get group insurance is through your employer. Most employers offer their employees a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/group+health+insurance" rel="tag">group health insurance</a> package, and some offer life, auto, and homeowners insurance coverage, too. In the event you must pay some of the group insurance premium, an employer will normally deduct the amount from payroll. Most employer-sponsored <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/group+insurance+benefits" rel="tag">group insurance benefits</a> are available to a policyholder's family members, too. <br /><br /> You can also obtain group insurance through any clubs, organizations, or associations with which you're affiliated. These include <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sororities+and+fraternities" rel="tag">sororities and fraternities</a>, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+alumni+associations" rel="tag">college alumni associations</a>, and senior citizen organizations. Some credit companies even offer group insurance as benefits for their cardholders. <br /><br /> It's pretty easy for employers or other organizations to find group insurance online. Actually, they can find group insurance online in basically the same way individuals search for insurance only. Simple visit a search engine, query "employer group insurance" or "group insurance for a small business," and browse the results. Employers can choose from many group insurance options. For example, group health insurance can be managed care, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cafeteria+plans" rel="tag">cafeteria plans</a>, or health savings accounts. <br /><br /> The application for employers seeking group insurance is a bit different than the application for individuals seeking insurance. Employers will be required to enter thorough contact information for the business, as well as the type of business, number of employees, and desired deductible and co-pay. <br /><br /> Generally, after the application has been submitted, the information is compiled and a few live insurance agents from a network of agents will contact the employer. These agents have deals for the employer based on the business and employee information submitted. The employer simply chooses the best group insurance policy. <bio>Recommended sites for low rate insurance <a href="http://ezquoteguide.com/health/" >http://ezquoteguide.com/health/</a> Cheap Group Health Insurance Quotes <a href="http://www.myquoteguide.com/Best-Health.shtml" >http://www.myquoteguide.com/Best-Health.shtml</a> Instant Health Insurance Quotes </bio>]]></content:encoded>

Of course, these kinds of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+policies" rel="tag">health insurance policies</a> usually don't cover regular doctor's visits, but they will cover major medical expenses such as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/emergency+room+visits" rel="tag">emergency room visits</a>, hospitalization, and surgeries. This is not <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/beneficial" rel="tag">beneficial</a> to the employers or the employees, since many people choose their jobs based somewhat on the benefits <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/they+will+receive" rel="tag">they will receive</a>. <br /><br /> If you live in New York and work for a business whose owner thinks it is "too small" to offer health insurance, you may be in luck. In 2000, the governor of New York proposed to a comprehensive insurance coverage plan to be made available to New York employees and their families if they do not have health insurance. The New York Legislature ratified the proposal, and the program became known as Healthy NY. <br /><br /> According to Healthy NY, a "small business" is one that has 50 or fewer employees. When a small business has this number of employees, the business feels as if it can not afford to offer low cost health insurance to its employees; however, thanks to Healthy NY, all <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/small+businesses" rel="tag">small businesses</a> can take advantage of offering low cost health insurance to its employees. <br /><br /> The even better news is that you do not have to be an employee of a small business to purchase low cost health insurance through Healthy NY. Sole proprietors may also purchase low cost health insurance through Healthy NY. <br /><br /> If you work for a small business in New York that does not offer health insurance because it feels as if it can not afford to, talk to your employer about Healthy NY. Not only with Healthy NY benefit the employees of the business, but being able to offer low cost health insurance to employees will also help your employer because he or she will be able to attract and retain quality employees. <bio><a href="http://ezquoteguide.com/health/" >http://ezquoteguide.com/health/</a> Low Cost Health Insurance in New York <a href="http://www.myquoteguide.com/Best-Health.shtml" >http://www.myquoteguide.com/Best-Health.shtml</a> Health Insurance Quotes </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[It is no secret that the American society is advanced in many ways. As a whole, we are a wealthy country. We are a democratic country. We are a free country. The citizens of American society have rights that citizens of many other countries have never known. Yet, despite all our wealth and all our rights, many Americans are without <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/proper+health+care" rel="tag">proper health care</a> coverage. <br /><br /> The people of American society have various reasons for not having health insurance, but the main reason from which all other reasons stem is money. Many people just do not have the money it takes to pay for a health insurance policy. People can generally get a good deal on health insurance if they purchase it through their employers, but not everyone is employed or works for a company that offers health benefits, and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/individual+health+insurance" rel="tag">individual health insurance</a> policies are much more expensive than the group insurance policy rates employers offer. <br /><br /> Health care is expensive, and health insurance is supposed to help cut the cost of health care; however, while health insurance does help us pay for health care, is heath insurance itself too expensive? For many, the answer is yes. <br /><br /> Regardless of how wealthy American society is as a whole, there are millions of Americans who can't afford health insurance. Maybe they work for an employer who doesn't offer a health insurance package. Maybe they just have too many other bills and can't afford the additional <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+bill" rel="tag">health insurance bill</a>. Maybe they're self-employed and just don't bring in enough income to pay for individual health insurance. <br /><br /> If you work for an employer who doesn't offer health insurance, are self-employed, or just otherwise can't afford health insurance, don't give up. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/contact" rel="tag">Contact</a> your state's insurance bureau and seek advice. They may be able to point you in the direction of a health insurance company or program that specifically caters to people who can't afford health insurance for whatever reason. <bio><a href="http://www.ezquoteguide.com/home/" >http://www.ezquoteguide.com/home/</a> <a href="http://www.ezquoteguide.com/car/" >http://www.ezquoteguide.com/car/</a> <a href="http://www.myquoteguide.com/Student-Health.shtml" >http://www.myquoteguide.com/Student-Health.shtml</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[It is a simple fact that employers are responsible for the safety of their employees. In the UK the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+and+safety+executive" rel="tag">Health and Safety Executive</a> has been set up to ensure that employers know exactly what their responsibilities are. As the workplace can be a dangerous place and accidents can and do happen, it is very important to ensure that employers are doing their utmost to minimise the risks. If they are failing to meet their Health and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/safety+directives" rel="tag">Safety directives</a> and an accident occurs then you as an employee are fully within your rights to make a claim against your employer. Accidents can be slight but unfortunately they can also be extremely serious and have lasting consequences. The money rewarded through a workplace compensation claim can make your life more bearable if something unfortunate happens.<br><br>Under the HSE legislation, it is the employer's responsibility to ensure that their workplace is a safe one, that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/risk+assessments" rel="tag">risk assessments</a> are carried out and that staff are suitably trained. If there is machinery present then it is also the employer's responsibility to ensure that that machinery is as safe as possible and that safety equipment such as goggles and gloves are readily available. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dangerous+chemicals" rel="tag">Dangerous chemicals</a> and materials must also be identified and stored in a safe place. Workers also need to be consulted on health and safety issues and made fully aware of the risks relevant to their specific workstation.<br><br>One of the most important factors in helping to avoid accidents is through staff training. Employees must be trained so that they are aware of the risks and that they can take responsibility for their own health and safety and the safety of those around them. They must be made aware that it is vital for them to co-operate with their employer in all matters of health and safety. They must also be trained in the proper use of safety equipment. It is also important for employers to assign certain health and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/safety+roles" rel="tag">safety roles</a> such as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/first+aiders" rel="tag">first aiders</a> and people who can carry out risk assessments in their local working <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/environmen" rel="tag">environmen</a>t.<br><br>Unfortunately some employers are still not meeting all the criteria when it comes to health and safety issues and some work places can be extremely hazardous. Other employers carry out all of the necessary checks and safety measures and an accident still happens. Any working environment can be unsafe and have its own specific risks. Some of the most common accidents that occur are slips and trips, falls, back injures, repetitive strain injures and injuries caused through the incorrect use of equipment through lack of proper training. If you suffer from any of these at work, then you are fully within your rights to report the incident.<br><br>The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 states that employers must report any specified workplace incidents. This can be done over the phone or even online through the HSE website. If you suffer an accident at work you should report it at once. If it is serious and could have been avoided then you may also wish to seek legal representation. It is important that you approach a specialist solicitor who is well versed in health and safety law and aware of the issues surrounding such claims.<bio>We deal in a range of claims, including <a href=" http://www.1stclaims.co.uk">personal injury claims</a> and compensation. <content:encoded><![CDATA[In today's <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+market" rel="tag">health insurance market</a>, the word affordable may soon have to be taken out of the equation because it is becoming less and less likely that you are going to be able to obtain an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/affordable+health+insurance" rel="tag">affordable health insurance</a> policy that doesn't have numerous benefits carved out of it. <br /><br /> The skyrocketing costs of physician care and hospital care as well as tax paying consumers having to shoulder the extra costs of those who never pay their <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+care+costs" rel="tag">health care costs</a> has increasingly added to the high rates we have to pay for our <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+premiums" rel="tag">health insurance premiums</a>. <br /><br /> Here are some options to obtaining affordable <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+coverage" rel="tag">health insurance coverage</a>: <br /><br /> Normally, the best way to obtain affordable health insurance has been historically through your employer and many employers are still able to offer good health insurance coverage. <br /><br /> However, because of the heavy burden of the expense of insuring employees only 60% of the United States employers are able to offer health insurance to their employees. Also, the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+benefits" rel="tag">health insurance benefits</a> offered are being further and further reduced to help lower costs such as much higher deductibles and less coverage for prescriptions, etc. Employers are also requiring those employees who participate to pay a larger and larger portion of the monthly premium. <br /><br /> Individual policies are definitely an option and can at times be better than the health insurance coverage that your employer is offering if in fact he/she is offering health insurance coverage at all. To help lower the cost of your monthly premium you can choose a higher deductible option. You can also choose a higher copay option or no copay at all and simply meet a specified deductible before your insurance begins covering your healthcare costs. <br /><br /> However, you then run into the problem of maternity care being covered only marginally at an additional cost, waiver of coverage for pre-existing conditions or no coverage at all if you have certain existing medical conditions. <br /><br /> There are also alternatives to health insurance such as discount health plans. These plans are definitely affordable and everyone is accepted regardless of any existing medical conditions. Discount health plans are comprehensive and provide savings for everything from hospitalization and specialists to dental care, prescriptions and alternative medicine. Some discount health plan providers also offer low cost insured products such as Accident Medical, Hospital Indemnity plans that pay a cash benefit directly to the consumer and Long Term Disability plans. When choosing this type of health plan you should remember to check and see if there are sufficient providers in your area. <br /><br /> Every consumer has unique needs and with careful research and due diligence should yet be able to find the right affordable health insurance plan to meet their needs. <bio>Petrea Dishman at <a href="http://www.affordable-health.com" >http://www.affordable-health.com</a>. We have seen several times more and more that employees are first asking about the benefits plan and then about <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/salary" rel="tag">salary</a>. It is obvious that affordable health care is prevalent on the minds of candidates. <br /><br /> For existing employees, we've found that offering higher benefits contributions in lieu of salary increases is a well received concept. Small businesses have their eyes on the bottom line and labor costs are one of the hardest hitting factors. By offering higher contributions to benefits plans employers are able to reduce the overall payroll costs. This is an area that most employers don't spend a lot of time looking at because they think they are under the impression it will be too costly. Another misconception is that for a good benefits contribution plan, an employer must purchase a group policy. This is not the case, a resourceful HR person will assist company leaders in researching alternative benefits <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/options" rel="tag">options</a> such as mini-meds (miniature <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/medical+plans" rel="tag">medical plans</a> with lower maximum coverage and limited visits), individual medical plans specific to each employee (often times much lower cost than group rates) and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+savings+accounts" rel="tag">Health Savings Accounts</a> just to name a few. <br /><br /> Small businesses should <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/definitely" rel="tag">definitely</a> consider benefits options now as there are proponents of legislation to make benefits mandatory for small to medium size businesses. At the end of 2005 California voters were presented with potential legislation that would require that certain employers provide health coverage for their employees and in some cases dependents through either (1) paying a fee to a new state program primarily to purchase private health insurance coverage or (2) arranging directly with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+providers" rel="tag">health insurance providers</a> for health care coverage. The state would also establish a new program to assist lower-income employees to pay their share of health care premiums. <br /><br /> This referendum lost by only about 2% so we are keeping our eye on this to resurface again in the very near future. <bio>By Lisa Cieslica, Senior of <a href="<a href="http://www.nationalpeo.com/">http://www.nationalpeo.com/.</a>"><a href="http://www.nationalpeo.com/">http://www.nationalpeo.com/.</a>.</a>. <content:encoded><![CDATA[The world is full of business-minded individuals, whether their goals are to lead a multi-million dollar company into the future, or simply start their own small business to provide services that are in demand and services they enjoy performing. However, not many businesses can make it without a couple of employees, and not many people are not going to work for a business, big or small, that doesn't offer some kind of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+plan" rel="tag">health insurance plan</a>. That's why so many small businesses fail; they can't attract and keep the number of employees necessary to run their businesses because they don't offer them benefits such as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+plans" rel="tag">health insurance plans</a>. <br /><br /> Small business owners should consider <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/group+health+insurance" rel="tag">group health insurance</a> plans for their employees, even though no employer -- whether a small or large company -- is required to offer health insurance plans to its employers. <br /><br /> A group health insurance plan offers a single policy to a group of people, such as employees, and sometimes even to the dependents of the employees. Even though employers aren't required to offer health insurance plans to their employees, insurance companies are often required to provide group health insurance plans to small businesses; if, of course, it is requested. <br /><br /> However, the rates of the small <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/business+health+insurance" rel="tag">business health insurance</a> plan are determined differently than the rates of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/individual+health+insurance" rel="tag">individual health insurance</a> plans. The insurance company usually looks at the group -- the employees -- as a whole, and factors such as age and sex are used to determine the cost of the small business health insurance plan. Other factors, such as whether or not the small business health insurance plan is offered to part-time employees along with full-time employees, can also help determine the cost. Many companies don't offer health insurance plans to part-time employees, particularly for this reason. <br /><br /> If you want your small business to succeed, offering perks such as health insurance plans will do nothing but help -- and offering those perks is possible! <bio><a href="http://www.myquoteguide.com/Car-Tips.shtml" >http://www.myquoteguide.com/Car-Tips.shtml</a> <a href="http://www.ezquoteguide.com/home" >http://www.ezquoteguide.com/home</a> <a href="http://www.ezquoteguide.com/health" >http://www.ezquoteguide.com/health</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ The discussion around <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+and+safety" rel="tag">Health and Safety</a> regulations within the Cleaning Industry appears to be a very grey area indeed. Many <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cleaning+companies" rel="tag">Cleaning Companies</a> and Employers of Cleaners receive new regulations negatively, seeing these as another way that governments control us, limit freedom and make more money out of businesses. A common attitude is that Health and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/safety+regulations" rel="tag">Safety regulations</a> are simply bureaucratic procedures and more paperwork for the already over-stressed employer. Other Cleaning Companies see new regulations as something that they simply haven't got the time, money or expertise to implement within their companies. Things that they know they really should be doing concerning Health and Safety get pushed to the back of the pile, as there always seems to be more pressing matters to deal with, such as actually making money for the business! <br /><br /> Many small Cleaning Companies may also believe that Health and Safety regulations do not apply to the type of work they do. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/strict+health" rel="tag">Strict Health</a> and Safety regulations are something that applies to huge companies and those who work on construction sites, hospitals, and the like. The Cleaning Industry is a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/high+risk" rel="tag">high risk</a>, hazardous industry, and Health and Safety Regulations are there for simply that reason. Regardless of the size of the company, the very nature of cleaning itself means that people are at risk of injury and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ill+health" rel="tag">ill health</a>. It is not only your Employees, but other members of the Public are put at risk by each and every Cleaning operation. The HSE states that over =A3500 million per year is spent by the work industry from slips and trips alone. To Cleaners themselves, there were over 3500 work related injuries reported to the HSE in the period of 2005-6, of which 700 were major. Many Employers <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hide+behind" rel="tag">hide behind</a> the belief that insurance should cover any accident or injury, but the truth is that insurance only covers a small part of the costs. <br /><br /> As an Employer you are responsible for ensuring the Health and Safety of every person who may be affected by the work your company will be carrying out. Work related injury and ill health should never be view as just statistics. They affect real people and result in far more damage to individuals than time out of work.<br /><br /><br /><br /> More information will be available in future articles. <bio>Laura Elizabeth Smith is a Director of Sparkle Cleaning Services(UK)LTD, <a href="http://www.wesparkle.co.uk" >http://www.wesparkle.co.uk</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>
