One of a handful of essential, "must-see" animated Christmas classics, How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a Dr. Seuss holiday masterpiece. Created in 1966 on the heels of the phenomenal success surrounding such TV specials as A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964), the Grinch has morphed into a sacred annual Christmas rite perfect for any child from one to ninety-two. The narration and singing voice of Boris Karloff breathes life into the 1955 Dr. Seuss tale of a dark and miserly heart's redemption, thus revealing the true meaning of Christmas. Based on Charles Dickens' literary classic A Christmas Carol, it creates a uniquely memorable caricature of the Scrooge personality we've come to know so well...

How The Grinch Stole Christmas follows the life of a lumbering green cave monster with a heart seven-sizes-too-small. Living with his dog in a mountaintop retreat high above the town of Whoville, the Grinch (voiced by Karloff) hates all the Whos, but what he hates worst of all is their incessant happiness and celebration come Christmas. So the Grinch, smiling his evil Grinch grin, hatches a plan to steal Christmas. Fashioning crude reindeer horns for his dog and a Santa suit for himself, the Grinch drives a makeshift sleigh down into Whoville while the Whos lie sleeping on Christmas Eve. He steals their lights, their ribbons, and their bows. He steals their boxes, packages, and bags. He steals wreathes and Christmas trees and even their Roast Beast -- why that evil Grinch even stole the Who hash! And the only thing he left behind was a crumb far too small for even a mouse... But when the Grinch is caught by the most innocent of Whos, his master plan begins to unravel. He discovers that Christmas isn't quite what he thought it was. In fact, Christmas might be a whole lot more. But with the trimmings of Christmas hanging in the lurch, what the Grinch finds out about himself just might be the key to saving all of Christmas for the Whos...

Created under the direction of Chuck Jones, the famed creator of such Warner Brothers characters as the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, and Pepe Le Pew, How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a masterful production with stellar voice-overs, imaginatively drawn characters, and Boris Karloff's impressive narration. In fact, the facial expressions and movements of the Grinch mimic Wile E. Coyote in numerous ways. Several songs interspersed throughout the story, such as the song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch," have become holiday classics in-and-of themselves. In a nutshell, no celebration of the Christmas holiday is truly complete without at least one viewing of this brilliant cartoon... <bio>Britt Gillette is author of The DVD Report (http://thedvdreport.blogspot.com), a blog where you can find more reviews like this one. </bio>

You almost have to take out a loan to pay for health insurance these days. Even if your company pays for half or more of your premium, a premium for a family still runs at least two to three hundred dollars a month. This is ridiculous, especially for people that do not visit the doctor very often. However, everyone is worried that if they do not have health insurance, then they will need it and they will not be able to get the help that they need, or they will get substandard healthcare because they do not have insurance. Many factors have surfaced over the years that cause health insurance to continue to stay on the rise.

One of the major problems that cause health insurance to continue to rise is the amount of frivolous malpractice lawsuits that are filed against doctors every year. Even if a doctor does not do anything wrong, they still have to pay the court costs, which usually are paid for out of their malpractice insurance. And if a doctor does make a mistake they can pay ten's of millions of dollars in damages. All of this causes doctor's to pay more for malpractice insurance, which translates into higher costs to their patient's so they can continue to survive. One of the best ideas I have heard to help combat this problem, is legislature that puts a cap on monetary awards that are awarded for punitive damages in these lawsuits. Anything over the cap will be given to the state to help pay for schools, roads, and other things for the community. This will slow people down who want to sue just to get rich quick, but will still allow people to sue if a wrong has truly been committed.

Another major problem that causes health insurance problems is the ability of health insurance companies to get out of paying the full amount requested by a doctor. Health insurance companies rarely pay half of what a doctor's office requests, so the doctor's office usually has to eat the lost costs. This causes doctor's offices to raise their prices to help shoulder the burden of these lost profits. An easy solution would be to implement some kind of regulations that would allow doctor's offices to collect the full amount for a visit. These regulations would force health insurance companies to pay the amount that doctor's charge, thus lowering the prices of doctor's visits for all of their patients. <bio>You may not be able to transform the insurance industry today (and neither can we, unfortunately) but you CAN visit NC Health Insurance to get the best insurance for your money! http://www.ibdinsurance.com/ </bio>

I am sick. I don't know what's wrong nor if what I have has an official name. Maybe they call it, "Ah-ha-now-you-can't-breathe-well-and-feel-like-you-are-going-to-die virus. I don't know. I will probably go to the doctor tomorrow if I am not feeling better.

Going to the doctor in Mexico is simply a delight. There are several reasons for my enchantment with going to Mexican doctors. One is that I can afford it. The best part, in fact, about going to the Mexican doctor is at the end of the visit when you have to pay less than $15.00 for an office call.

This is what you will hear your American doctor telling you,

"That will be all for today. Now be sure to pay your $150.00 DOLLAR office visit fee so you can help make the payment on my brand-new SUV. Be sure to take a look at it on your way back to your little rust bucket of a car. After all you are paying for it!"

You instead hear this from your Mexican doctor,

"That will be $150.00 PESOS (less than $15.00 USD). Oh thank you very much," the Mexican doctor tells you, "you are very kind."

Reason number two why I love going to the Mexican doctors is that, if you are a man, they do not ask you every single time to drop your pants to have a look at that worrisome prostate gland.

If you aren't a man then you have no idea of how obsessive the American medical community becomes about your prostate gland after you reach a certain age! After I hit 45-years old, each time I would go see the doctor, any doctor, they would always want to know when the last time I had my prostate gland looked at.

I would go to the doctor for:

A sore throat: "Oh, that red throat sure looks bad," the doctor would say, "but let's have a look at your prostate while you are here."

A cut finger requiring stitches: "There you go. That last stitch went in perfectly. Now strip off all your clothes, put on this gown, and I'll be right back."

An asthma attack: "Oh, oh, oh my God! The lungs sound fine but I think I hear something in your prostate gland. Quick, let's have a look!"

The neurologist slithers in:

"I think we need to look at your prostate."

"But doctor," you protest weakly, "I am here because my right leg has been numb for three months."

"Ah, yes. I think the prostate may be causing it. Bend over this table and let's have a go at it, shall we?"

American doctors will go to any means to get to have a look at your prostate. It is as though they win some sweepstakes for the most prostate glands they get to "have a look at." I just don't know!

The third reason I love going to the Mexican doctor is that they actually care about you. I am not making this up: They will call you at home, because they worry about your condition. If you are suppose to return to the doc for a follow-up visit and are one day late they call you to see if you are ok or what has happened to you. Can you even begin to fathom that?

When we came back from a Puerto Vallarta vacation, I contracted a jungle related rash. Don't ask me how. I was not swinging from disease carrying vines or rubbing up against something I should not have been. I just caught this hideous rash.

My Guanajuato doctor was treating me. It was rather a severe case and he got worried when I didn't return exactly on the 10th day he asked me to come back. So he called me up to see how I was doing.

I love Mexican doctors! <bio>Mexican Living: Print and eBooks--All you need to know about living and retiring to Mexico http://mexicanliving.access.to </bio>

With beauty-enhancement and skin care clinics opening in every corner of the metropolis, it gets a bit hard to find the right one that will take care of all your beauty needs. In fact, the more clinics to choose from, the more confusing it is for the average consumer who does not know a thing about professional skin care.

Below are some tips that can help you in your search for the skin care professional that will not only help you care for your skin but will also help you take care of your whole body and well-being.

1. Go to reputable hospitals

Most hospitals will have sections or departments that deal with the skin. Most of the time, it is best to go here and ask for referrals as most of their doctors are reputable and experts in their fields.

Another advantage of seeking a doctor inside the hospitals or in major clinics is the fact that they will be able to provide your with the latest in facilities and also in terms of techniques. Big hospitals are constantly upgrading their service as well as updating their staff with the latest technology.

2. Ask a recommendation.

For sure, you will know someone who have been treated and if not, you can always ask your friends who will surely know someone really good. Getting referrals is a great way of ensuring that your doctor is really good because someone you know has already tried his services.

Another advantage of going to a doctor that your friends know is that you can ask for tips when it comes to some things like haggling for the price.

3. Check your budget

You can get the best care but if you don't have the money to pay for it, why bother? It is important that before you look for a good doctor, you know how much you are willing to spend. The doctor that you should be asking for should be within that budget. Otherwise, you will only be wasting your time.

4. Make sure that you have all the facts

Before you go hunting for doctors, make sure that you have already done your research on the procedure. This way, you will be able to find the doctor that will fit your needs and requirements.

Remember that every doctor has his or her own specialty.
You should always make sure that your eye care professional is suitable and up to the job before undergoing the surgery. In order to do so, there are many hints and tips to help you. Undertaking this checking beforehand will save your time, energy and money. For instance if things go wrong, you should know in advance if your doctor will be able to act accordingly. Therefore a good choice of the doctor accounts for a good surgery.

Communication is your first friend to check credentials of your doctor. This ensures that your doctor is frank and fully knows how the surgery happens. In case of further complications you expect your doctor to inform you at once. The only way to know if he or she is personable and can meet your needs is to talk to him or her.

Previous testimonials about your surgeon can also be a valuable asset to assess your doctor. For instance, you may need to know how your doctor coped with complications with previous patients. A short chat with other patients can also give you some good details about your doctor's habits.

Using Internet can also be a good way to check your doctor's credentials as most of them now have their own website revealing their credentials as well as testimonials from their previous clients. You can also use scientific journals and papers to investigate available Lasik surgeons. You should always check your doctor's credentials before booking a meeting with him or her.

As soon as you have chosen your doctor, it is a good idea to compare him to compare him with three Lasik surgeons. You can meet all of them before deciding which one you fancy! This will definitely give you the best and right doctor to serve you. A visit to their centers can also be of help. If you are not treated well at that time, it is very unlikely that they improve their quality of service during the surgery. This behavior also applied to your doctor as well.

During a meeting with a doctor it is very important to pay a special attention to what he or she will tell you. In theory they should tell you how the surgery is going to work as well as possible complications arising from the surgery. They should be friendly and talkative about all aspects of the surgery. If they are not willing to tell you in depth what is going to happen and do not give you full details about the post-operative instructions, you should definitely consider choosing another Lasik surgeon as they are many around.

Checking doctors' credentials beforehand helps you find a straightforward surgery with the appropriate response to your needs. This of course will save a tremendous amount of time and a good amount of money that could have been wasted for nothing. Checking doctors' credentials by words of mouth and your own background research will allow you to get the right and best Lasik surgeon. Having the best available doctor will ensure that you will get an unforgettable and excellent Lasik surgery.<bio>What could possibly happen during lasik?
Most couples believe that when the time comes to start a family, conception will occur right on schedule. However, for one in every seven couples, this is simply not the case. When pregnancy doesn't happen as quickly as one would expect, it may be worthwhile to see the doctor.

When to Make an Appointment
The general guideline for when to talk to a doctor about infertility treatment states that if a couple under the age of 35 has actively tried to get pregnant for one year without success, it is time to make an appointment. If the couple is over the age of 35, that time frame is reduced to six months. It is also a good idea to visit a doctor if three miscarriages have occurred in a row, since this can also be a symptom of a fertility problem. Some couples will also make an appointment with a doctor before this checkpoint if they are concerned there may be a problem, although many doctors will not begin any sort of workup or treatment until the couple has been trying to get pregnant for these set amounts of time.

Who to See
When couples decide it is time to talk to a doctor about infertility treatment, there can be some uncertainty over which doctor to see. Most infertility workups can begin with the family doctor or the woman's gynecologist, since these doctors are familiar enough with the general process to get things started. If a specific problem is diagnosed during the initial workup, the couple should then decide if it can be adequately treated through this same doctor, or if it is time to get a specialist involved. Some gynecologists specialize in infertility treatments, while other doctors that primarily work in the field are known as a fertility specialist or reproductive endocrinologist. When a couple begins to move into specialized procedures like assisted reproductive technology, it is best to contact one of these specialists.

When choosing a doctor for infertility treatment, find out how much of that doctor's practice is devoted to this specific field of study. If the doctor is also a practicing obstetrician, keep in mind that there may be many pregnant women in the waiting room whenever you have an appointment. Ask about the particular procedures this doctor does regularly and how much experience he has had with them. Gauge the staff while you are there for your initial appointment, since a kind, compassionate office staff can make all the difference when you are dealing with the emotional stress involved with the infertility process.

When you meet with the doctor for the first time, let him know how far you are willing to go with your infertility treatment up front. While this parameter may change throughout the course of your treatment, it is a good idea to let the doctor know what your philosophies are -- at least at the beginning. By getting off on the right foot with the doctor of your choice, you greatly increase your odds that your infertility treatment will be a success.<bio>Visit the Florida Fertility Clinic on procedures and questions for FL Infertility Treatment in Pensacola and Tallahassee.</bio>

If you do encounter both together, don't hesitate to see a doctor immediately.

When you see your doctor, he or she will want to know about the pain you're experiencing. Explain the pain exactly as you feel it. Is it a sharp pain, as if someone were jabbing you with a sharp stick, or is it a dull, recurring pain? Does the pain get worse when you sneeze or cough, does it keep you from sleeping, or does your stomach and back pain go away and come back with any kind of regularity? These are just a few of the questions your doctor will ask before examining you. The doctor will determine if the problem is minor, such as digestion problems or more serious, such as nerve damage, which could require surgery.

Stomach and back pain, especially when they occur together, should not be ignored. When you feel pain such as this, it usually means there's something going on inside and the pain is the only way to alert you about the problem. Your doctor is the one who should make the diagnosis, however, so it's important not to try any alternate treatment.Let your doctor examine your stomach and back pain as soon as it occurs, for you don't want to exacerbate it by waiting too long.

For more Information check http://www.arthritisreliefhelp.info <bio>Roger Thompson writes articles on arthritis and pain relief for http://arthritisrelief.info </bio>

Losing weight is a praiseworthy goal for many people. Maintaining a healthy weight can reduce the risk of heart attack and other serious medical conditions while making you feel more energetic and more agile and helping you enjoy your life to the fullest. However, embarking on a weight loss program can also be dangerous for your health if you do not take proper precautions. Before you jump start searching for weight loss programs, you should always consult with your doctor.

Why do you have to see a physician before starting to lose weight? Weight loss isn't a medical problem, it's something that people do every day, right? Some of the top reasons to see a doctor before starting a diet include:

* Losing too much weight too quickly or not getting the nutrition that your body needs are both problems that many dieters face which can do far more harm than good.

* Changes in your body weight can affect your body's reaction to medication. Your doctor should be aware that you are trying to lose weight so that you can make any necessary changes to the dosage of prescription or over-the-counter medicines.

* Your doctor can help you rule out medical reasons for your weight gain, such as hypothyroidism and diabetes.

* Starting heavy exercise after you have been sedentary for a while can pose health challenges that your doctor can help you overcome.

* Your doctor can also advise you about which weight loss programs are safe and which you should avoid based on your specific circumstances. That's something that no book or website can do.

Some people are reluctant to talk to their doctor about weight loss programs because they are embarrassed or because they feel they will be taking up their physician's time for nothing. But remember that your doctor is there to help you manage every aspect of your physical health including your weight, and that taking this important step now can help you achieve your goals more effectively. <bio>Find a systematic weight loss program at http://learnaboutweightloss.com/index.php/2007/05/04/using-a-systematic-wei= ght-loss-program-is-an-easy-way-to-lose-weight plus tips, tricks and ideas for weight loss, visit Learn About Weight Loss: http://learnaboutweightloss.com </bio>

If you are one of the many people out there that are looking to have weight loss surgery done, then you need to know that there are many different things that you are going to have to take into consideration before you actually go through with the weight loss surgery.

First of all you are going to have to go into your doctor, so that you can get a full examination and so that thus the doctor can tell you how healthy you are at the moment, as this is very important because if you are too unhealthy then you may not be able to go through with the weight loss surgery procedure at all.

However you do not have to worry because for the most part, not many people get told that they cannot have the weight loss surgery done, and so basically unless you have had some really serious past medical issues, then you should be fine. Preparing for the Weight Loss Surgery

There are many things that you are going to have to do in order to prepare for this surgery and so one of the most important things that you are going to have to do here is research on your own time. This means talking with the doctors that are going to be involved, and asking them every single question that has ever come to mind about the surgery.

You need to be absolutely sure on everything, and so do not feel silly asking a ton of questions. You are also going to want to take some time so that you can find a really good doctor, because this is a very serious surgery and so you definitely do not want to put yourself into the wrong hands. Ask around, and see who has opinions on what doctors, so that you can get some firsthand opinions in regards to who the best doctors are.

As well, you can actually go in for appointments with the doctors so that you get the chance to meet them before you even decide on having them as your doctor, so that you can get a feel for them and so that you can tell whether or not you want this doctor to be performing your surgery. Remember to ask your doctor questions about how many procedures like this they have done before, how long they have been in the medical field, and so on. <bio>Ann Marier writes informative articles about family life and general health issues, Her latest are about losing weight .
Some people affected by allergies to certain medications. People affected by such allergies should make sure their doctors are aware of these medications. It is very common to treat many infections with medicines like penicillin. Penicillin is a form of mold that helps to reduce swelling or other symptoms of allergic reactions. If a person is allergic to molds, they would be unable to take a medication such as pencillin. There are people who are simply unable to take certain medications.

There are other medications that can also trigger an allergy attack; some are everyday drugs and others are prescription medications. If you begin to feel sick or develop a rash soon after you begin taking a new medicine, you should discontinue its usage under the supervision of your doctor. Never take yourself off any prescription medication. It is best to go to your doctor immediately and report how the medicine makes you feel and show them any rashes that you may have developed as a result of it. It is not uncommon for people to suffer allergic reactions or extreme side effects from prescription medication. When visiting the doctor for a possible medication reaction, you should bring a list of anything out of the ordinary that you may have been using or eating, as well as a list of new medications that you have been prescribed. This will aid the doctor in identifying any triggers that could have caused your reaction. Normally, there are several brands of medications or types of medications that can help you with the same health conditions. It may be necessary for you to switch brands or medications for your treatment. You should discuss your options with your doctor and get his or her opinion on the matter.

By bringing your side effects to the attention of your doctor, he or she can help you feel better. Do not feel hesitant to approach your doctor, this is a matter of your health. It is important that you make sure that you are not being prescribed a generic type or brand of medication to which you know you are allergic. When you see a doctor and they subsequently prescribe something for you, it is important to verbally note your allergies to them. Sometimes they may miss a mention of a medical allergy that is noted in your medical file. This will be beneficial to both you and your doctor. <bio>Susan Wilson writes for several web magazines, including http://kozem.com and http://bovep.com </bio>

About five years ago, my father was ill with a terminal lung disease. The doctors had told him, if he quit smoking, he might live another 5 years, but if he did not, he might last only 5 months. My father, had been smoking for 60 years. My father, either could not or would not, stop smoking.

My father began to lose weight, It was not long until he was only a shell of the man he used to be. My dad had always been a mans man. He did not take anything from anybody. He was tough. He was strong. He was one of the last of his generation. He never liked hospitals. But one day in November he ask us to take him there. He was placed in the Intensive Care Unit. His breathing had become very irregular.

He was seen by many doctors. All, continued to tell us, that he would be fine. That after a few weeks of rest, he would be back home. I could see in his face, that he did not believe it to be true. For the first time in my life, I saw my father show fear.

On a Sunday, the doctor ask us if he could put a breathing tube down my fathers throat, just to help him breath better, so he could rest. We agreed, because we trusted this doctor. He continued to assure us that dad would be fine. He shook off our questions as if they were foolish. The next morning, my father died. The nurse told us, his health was constantly getting worse from his first day of arrival.

I wanted, in my heart, to hit this doctor. I had hoped that he had not given my father the same false hope, that he had given us. I did not punch this doctor, but I have had dreams, and in those dreams, it is my father, strong once again, who punches the very same doctor. I wake up, and realize it is not reality. But even in death, at least in my dreams, my father shows his strength, for his son.

Now, I do not justify, in any terms, the punching of a Doctor, or anyone else for that matter. But sometimes, you have display that sign of strength for your family or those that you love. I feel like the Doctor had misinformed us on the condition of my father's health. In addition, it was not just his failure to communicate information, but in his bedside demeanor. He seemed to talk down to us, and did not allow our questions, which were very important to us and our personal feelings, to be justifiable. As said, I wanted to hit him. It is a primal instinct. But, I restrained myself. This Doctor, regardless of his shortcomings, was who he was, for better or for worse. My dreams, a display of my father's strength, were simply a reminder of my love and admiration for him. My respect for him, will live on, for all the days of my life.<bio>John Esberg is a proud father and husband in the Annapolis, MD, area.
Choosing a health insurance policy is a very important decision and will affect your health in either a positive or negative way, depending on your choice. You will want to be sure that you pick a health insurance policy that will have you covered when you need it. If you are not sure how to pick a health insurance policy for you and your family, consider the following helpful tips. Following these tips can help you pick the best health insurance policy that will cover you and your family adequately while being affordable.

Tip #1 - Consider Your Needs - When you are trying to choose the right health insurance policy for you and your family, you need to take your health needs into consideration. If any of you have a pre-existing medical problem it can make it a bit harder to get medical insurance. You should also carefully consider what needs you are going to have in the next few years. If you are planning to start a family you will want to make sure that your health insurance policy covers maternity and other OB/GYN costs as well. When considering your needs you want to make sure that you purchase enough health insurance coverage, but you also want to make sure that you are not going to pay for coverage that you do not need.

Tip #2 - Are Doctor and Facility Choices Available - Another factor to consider when you are choosing a health insurance policy is the doctor and facility choices that will be available with your insurance plan. Many insurance companies only work with certain doctors or care facilities. If you already have a doctor that you really like you may want to be certain that you can continue to see this doctor and have it covered by your health insurance. Also make sure that it is fairly easy to see a specialist as well. Some insurance companies require doctor referrals and advanced notice if you need to see a specialist, which can be time consuming and can take up time you do not have. <bio>Opinions in this article do not necessarily reflect the view of http://www.ibdinsurance.com/ and 2 which the author would like for you to visit. </bio>

The asthma diagnosis comes from a series of tests. In many cases, a doctor will be able to determine if a patient has asthma and diagnose them right on the spot. In these cases, the diagnosis will be determined by the patient's pre history. The doctor will look at the patient's history of illness as well as his family history to determine if the symptoms and signs there are likely to be that of asthma. In addition, most doctors will use a simple examination to confirm their diagnosis of the asthma condition.

When an adult is to be diagnosed with asthma, the doctor may take some measurements of his airways. In asthma, the airways will constrict tightly, not allowing enough air to pass through them. This is a test that offers diagnosis of the condition, but can not be done on children. The doctor will use what is called a peak flow meter to help test and then diagnosis the adult asthma patient. In addition to it using an inhaler to test the benefits it offers to the potential asthma patient. For children to be diagnosed with asthma, the doctor will look at his medical history. Then, to insure that the patient does have asthma, he or she will monitor the child's response to various inhalers using bronchodilator medications.

In many cases, a doctor will diagnosis asthma within a matter of minutes due simple to the conditions that the patient is facing. Those that are facing asthma symptoms will usually be able to be diagnosed based on the conditions in which they face asthma like reactions. Doctors often can diagnosis a patient within a matter of minutes just by knowing the various factors that cause the body to react. In these cases, the final test comes from testing medications on the potential asthma sufferer to see if they do in fact relieve the condition. <bio>Roger Thomson writes about asthma, health related issues and jobs for http://www.idohealthcare.com </bio>

How the Grinch Stole Christmas tickets are always a great way to get you and your family into the holiday spirit, and this year, the classic book and film is coming to the theater stage. Dr. Seuss is one of the most unique writers in history, and his stories always give a different perspective on timeless lessons in the form of comedy and intriguing prose. We'll take a look below at just how this story has become such a phenomenon.

About the Story

The story, predictably, is about the Grinch. The Grinch is an unsightly green creature with a heart that's two sizes too small who lives with his only friend and companion, his dog Max, on the top of Mount Crumpit. Mount Crumpit oversees Whoville, where the town's residents, called the "Whos," live amongst themselves.

As Christmas approaches, the Grinch becomes increasingly annoyed as he hears more bustle than normal from the town's residents as they prepare for the forthcoming holiday. The Grinch does not like happiness, and he decides to act on his frustration in order to find himself some peace and quiet.

The Grinch forms a plan to steal all the children's Christmas gifts and holiday decorations in Whoville, as he believes that this will prevent Christmas from arriving. The Grinch comes down from the mountain and successfully steals everything he wants to take, and he is quite satisfied with his efforts.

However, the result of this crime spree is exactly where How the Grinch Stole Christmas tickets begin to reveal the message that's delivered to every audience. Despite the absence of gifts and decorations, the people of Whoville still celebrate Christmas with the same zest and cheer.

The Grinch is stunned by this development, as he realizes that the holiday is about much more than gifts, decorations and other material things. As a result, the Grinch's heart grows three sizes, and he is filled with the holiday spirit of giving and appreciation for what he has. His heart also grows by three sizes, and he basks in the acceptance of the townspeople when he returns everything he has stolen.

Overall, the works of Dr. Seuss are timeless in nature, and the stories' audiences know no age limits. If you want to combine the holiday spirit, the gift of giving and a valuable lesson for your family or loved ones, How the Grinch Stole Christmas tickets will provide a solution for all of these desires. <bio>Written by Jay Nault, sponsored by http://www.stubhub.com/ .
It goes without saying, but some people are more trusting than others. Some people see the good in everyone, but sometimes that's not such a good thing. It's important to be discerning when choosing any kind of specialist that has to do with health care.

The same care needs to be taken when choosing a cosmetic dermatologist. There are hundreds of people in the medical profession who claim to be an excellent cosmetic dermatologist. However, a certain percentage of these people are not as good as they should be.

Luckily, there are some things to keep in mind when choosing a cosmetic dermatologist, so you can separate the less-reputable dermatologists from the good ones. So, the first thing that you should take into consideration is where the dermatologist advertises.

For example, while you're in line at the grocery store, take a look at the gossip magazines that are usually lining the aisle. In the back of these magazines are usually some advertisements, some of which have to do with cosmetic surgery. Just as these magazines aren't too reputable, so then are the chances that some of the doctors aren't either. The right kinds of doctors should be advertising in mainstream news magazines, as well as medical journals and selected reputable websites. That's another thing -- if you get spam from any cosmetic doctor, that's reason enough to avoid him or her.

Regardless of this, you won't really know if a cosmetic dermatologist is worth going to until you meet him or her face to face. If the person seems in a hurry to get to another, certain client, that's a high sign that you should find someone else. The same thing applies if you're at a consultation with a doctor who is distracted, and frequently interrupts you to answer the phone or talk to a nurse.

Just like any other job, doctors need to have a portfolio of their work. In this case, they are before and after photos of people with all different kinds of skin conditions. If your doctor doesn't have any portfolio pictures available, or refuses to show them to you, then that's a clear sign that this isn't the right doctor for you. Conversely, a doctor that is too eager to show a portfolio to you, and practically forces you into choosing him or her as your doctor, is way too bossy to be the right doctor for you.

Another thing that you'll need to keep in mind is the location of the doctor's office. If the doctor is located in a bad area of town, and in an office that looks dirty and outdated, that means that the doctor has some hygiene issues, and is probably not well-versed in the latest equipment anyway.

The ideal doctor will be completely focused on you and your situation, and be patient enough to answer all of your questions. Additionally, the location of the office itself should be in a nice, clean building, perhaps as part of an association. The doctor should be ready with a portfolio to show you, as well as credentials and certifications.<bio>More information on the Fraxel skin rejuvenation option, lipodissolve treatments for unwanted body fat and a cosmetic dermatologist in your area is just a click away.</bio>

Osteoporosis is a condition in which your bones become weak and brittle. Although many individuals get this condition simply as they age, others will face it due to other situations including those like taking arthritis medications. Some medications that are used to treat rheumatoid arthritis interact with the calcium in your bones and can cause a weakening in the bones that is significant. If you are taking these medications, it is quite important that you talk to your doctor about your risk of developing osteoporosis.

What Medications Put You At Risk?

Corticosteroid medications are those that are most likely to cause you the development of osteoporosis. In order for this to happen, though, you will need to take the medication for a long period of time, regularly. Some of these medications include cortisone, prednisolone, prednisone, and dexamethasone.

As you use them, they slowly cause the bone to become weaker and weaker. They can severely damage the bone if they are not carefully monitored, which most doctors will do.

Does that mean that you should stop taking the medications that are important for treating the rheumatoid arthritis pain you have? Absolutely never stop taking the medications that you are on without talking to your doctor about them first. In addition, you and your doctor should have a treatment plan available that will incorporate regularly monitoring your body's bone density. In a simple test, your doctor will be able to determine if your bones are being affected by these medications and then can alter them as he or she sees fit. Some doctors will prescribe medications to help treat the osteoporosis and medications that can increase your bone density.

Treatments for osteoporosis and arthritis are important considerations for you and for your doctor. The doctor is not likely to be treating just one of these conditions and therefore should monitor your bone health throughout your care.

But, you can and you should ask questions about what the medications you are taking for each of these will do to your body. You should know the risk factors and what they mean to you, personally. In addition, you should have an understanding of what is available to help avoid these risks to the fullest level.

Preventing osteoporosis is something that can be done. Not only will you want to talk to your doctor about these conditions, but you also should take into account the risks that are there. Prevention of osteoporosis should be one of the first things that you and your doctor talk about when you begin taking these types of medications. Prevention usually includes increasing the amount of calcium that your body takes in on a daily basis. You probably will need to increase this amount considerably.

There is no doubt that the medications you take for arthritis are important to your health and well being. They shouldn't be stopped, in most cases. But, you should talk to your doctor about a prevention plan for osteoporosis, which can be prevented in most cases. <bio>You can read more of Greg's articles about Rheumatoid Arthritis at http://www.whugu.com </bio>

No matter what kind of arthritis you have, you will most likely be directed to an arthritis doctor, or more specifically, a rheumatologist, which is the proper name for a doctor who specializes in arthritis and other related bone conditions and diseases. In most cases, a primary care physician refers a person to see someone who specializes in arthritis after an initial assessment is performed.

In most cases, the first appointment with a rheumatologist, or arthritis doctor, will begin with questions about your medical history, how long you may have been suffering from bone joint aches and pains, and also if you're currently taking medications, both prescription and over-the-counter.

Remember, herbal supplements and vitamins are also considered medications. In many cases, herbal supplements and other vitamins and mineral supplements can interfere with drug treatment programs, and may even cause adverse reactions, so make sure your doctor knows about everything.

The arthritis doctor will ask you to be very specific about the kind of pain you are suffering, as well as the length of duration of those symptoms. Questions such as where the pain starts and how it feels are two of the first questions you'll be asked.

The rheumatologist will also want to know if you feel warmth in the affected joints and if the pain and stiffness affects your daily living patterns. He or she may also ask if you have suffered previous injuries to the affected joint, as sometimes that is a reason for arthritis developing in the location.

You may also be asked to complete an arthritis screening questionnaire and other forms. Do try to be patient with your arthritis doctor as he seeks to determine exactly what your condition may be. There are over a hundred different forms of arthritis, and not all of them are the same, nor do they have the same symptoms. Your rheumatologist will look for any redness and swelling, as well as tenderness and inflammation, not only in the affected joints, but others as well. He or she will also ask you to perform various movements so that he can determine your current range of motion capabilities.

If you have questions for the arthritis doctor, make sure that you write them down before you go, as it's easy to forget once in the physician's examination room. After the examination, ask what treatments are available for the form of arthritis that you are diagnosed with, and what changes in activity you might expect. If the doctor prescribes medication, ask what is it and how it works. Always take it upon yourself to learn as much about arthritis treatment medications as you can, as you are the one ingesting those medications into your body.

No matter which type of arthritis you may be suffering from, it's best to see a physician who specializes in that condition, and for you, that means an arthritis doctor, or a rheumatologist. With proper treatment, exercise and medication, you may be able to continue many of your usual activities. Arthritis is not curable, but it is possible to adapt and live the active lifestyle that you have grown used to. <bio>For more information on arthritis, try visiting http://www.easyarthritistips.com a website that specializes in providing arthritis related tips, advice and resources to include information on arthritis doctor. </bio>

Hemorrhoids need to be examined by a doctor. Without proper treatment, hemorrhoids easily become a more severe problem. If you are afflicted with hemorrhoids, it is important to get them diagnosed. It is also advisable know what to expect from the tests and examination procedures. Your doctor will be able help you determine if bleeding and irritation are a result of hemorrhoids or something more serious. He or she will then be able to help you find the proper treatment for it. If you are having problems with hemorrhoids, a thorough doctor's examination is imperative. Prior to administering any tests, an examination will make the process easier for you and the doctor. Your doctor will be able give you an accurate diagnosis and reduce your hemorrhoid-related pain.

An anoscope is the first type of commonly-used test for hemorrhoids. The doctor will use the anoscope to make verify that hemorrhoids are the problem. The anoscope, essentially a short hollow tube with a light on the end of it, is inserted approximately two inches into the anal canal. The light will allow the doctor to see the blood vessels, if they are swollen and to what degree. It is not necessary to fast before this procedure.

Proctoscopy is the second test used for hemorrhoid diagnosis. A proctoscope is very similar to the anoscope. It also consists of a hollow tube that is inserted into the colon. The light at the end, however, extends farther into the rectal area. This is usually required if you having problems with internal hemorrhoids. It allows the physician to ascertain whether the bleeding is from hemorrhoids or is resultant from other digestive problems.

A third type of test is called a sigmoidoscopy. With this specific type of test, as with the two previous, there will be a hollow tube with a light on the end that is inserted into your rectal area. The sigmoidoscope is more flexible and allows the doctor to examine further into the rectal area. During the course of a sigmoidoscopy, the doctor will not only be able to examine the rectal area, but also remove any growth taking place in your digestive system that may be causing the hemorrhoids. The main reason a doctor would choose to use a sigmoidoscope is to bend around the colon to view the edges that may have the hemorrhoids attached to them. With a sigmoidoscopy, it is important that the colon is empty. In order to clean out the colon, you may be required to take a laxative, use an enema or both, depending on your needs. This allows them better identify problems within the colon or in the rectal area. <bio>Linda Williams contributes articles to several online magazines, especially http://bosiv.com and http://nedod.com </bio>

During the last couple months of your pregnancy, you should start looking for a pediatrician. Finding the right doctor is very important. You should feel comfortable and know they will answer any questions you may have without making you feel like an idiot for asking.

Don't wait until the last minute to talk to potential doctors. I had made an appointment with someone that came highly recommended. I had my son the day before the interview. Of course, when the hospital asked me who our pediatrician was, I had to use the doctor I was supposed to interview. I did like him, but my husband was not too happy with him. We changed to a different doctor in the same office after my son was a year old.

You can choose to use a family practitioner or a pediatrician. The difference between the two is a pediatrician specializes in children's medicine; a family practitioner does not. Either one would be an excellent choice, so it's more with whom you feel most comfortable. Of course, you can call friends, family or the hospital to get their recommendations. Talking to someone you trust might help the process go a little smoother.

When you have some candidates, it is time to call their office to see if you "interview" them. Many doctors will see you and take the time to discuss office practices, etc. But not all are available; their office may be too busy to talk to you. Once you have the interviews set up, have a your questions ready. Here is a list of questions you may want to ask the doctor during your interview:

1. What is your philosophy on raising children? 2. How much are your office visits fees? 3. How much are your hospital charges? 4. Is there a Nurse Practitioner in your office? 5. Do you charge for phone calls? 6. Who returns phone calls? You or your office staff? 7. How long are your scheduled appointments? 8. How often would you see my baby the first year? 9. Do you have a waiting area just for sick children? 10. Since there are other doctors in this office, will my child always see you? 11. Is your office available on Saturdays or evenings?

Now that you have visited and talked to each doctor, this is the time to discuss yours and your spouses impressions of each one. Your first choice may not be the one you stick with forever, but to be honest, you won't really know how it will work out until your baby is here and you can see the doctor in action. <bio>Our History: With over 25 years of experience in the baby related industry http://HappyMothers.com has the most experienced and knowledgeable sales staff, and customer service representatives.
