It's one of those religious <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/diets" rel="tag">diets</a> and relies on many things to help you through the times when you're on your diet. <br /><br /> Each of these religious diets is slightly different but most have one thing in common, and that's the power of your own belief, and a great church support group. If you're looking into religious diets you won't have far to look as there are many books that are proliferating the diet markets. To get information though all you need to do is ask a church member. <br /><br /> Around the world, religious diets can mean many things to many people. For the Hindus their religious diets forbids them from eating meat, especially beef. In India the cow is a sacred beast and is treated as such by all. <br /><br /> For the Muslims during the month of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ramadan" rel="tag">Ramadan</a> they go on a strict fasting diet. They're not allowed to eat or drink anything during the daylight hours for the whole month. If I go to a restaurant I taste my food first to see whether I need a little added salt, I don't go and start shaking the salt over my dish the minute it's put in front of me. Now that's a bad habit and will ruin even the most glorious dishes. <br /><br /> Unfortunately, for people who suffer from certain medical conditions they have no choice but to stick with these salt free diets. These conditions can include high blood pressure or hypertension as it can be called, kidney disease, impaired liver functions, and also people with heart problems. <br /><br /> People who are overweight should also stay away from too much salt intake. But if you suffer from something like a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hypothyroid" rel="tag">hypothyroid</a> condition, or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cystic+fibrosis" rel="tag">cystic fibrosis</a> should not <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/reduce+your+salt+intake" rel="tag">reduce your salt intake</a> and therefore salt reduced diets would not be good for you.
