In the realm of spiritual warfare against demonic spirits - one of the ways that demons can enter into a person's life is through a generational curse line. A curse line can be formed out between a parent and a child if that parent has engaged and crossed over into any type of heavier transgression against the Lord.

The Bible tells us that the sins of the father can be "visited" down the blood line of 3 or 4 generations of future children. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin will always be death. As a result of a sinning parents severe transgressions against the Lord - sometimes demons will be allowed to attach to the sinning parent - and then they will attempt to jump and transfer onto some of the children to form out this curse line.

If that curse line gets formed out - then the demons will follow that child into his adult life and try to get him to commit the same type of sins his sinning parent may have been committing. That is why alcoholic fathers sometimes produce children that also end up becoming alcoholics themselves - all as a result of a curse line that had formed out between the sinning parent and the child - with demons feeding and operating on that curse line trying to influence the child to go in the same direction as his father has been going in.

Here are the 6 steps that will need to be taken in order to properly break a curse line:

1. The first thing you will have to do is be willing to make a full surrender of you and your entire life over to the Lord. The Bible tells us that we first have to be fully submitted to the Lord before we can begin to resist the devil to make him flee from us.

2. The second step is to go before the Lord and confess out the sins of the sinning parent or parents.

3. The third step is to then be willing to fully forgive your parents for whatever they have done to you - no matter how bad or how vicious the abuse has been over the years.

4. The next step is to verbally break any unhealthy soul ties that may have developed between the child and the bad parent.

5. The fifth step is to then verbally, out loud, break the curse lines that the demons have been operating and feeding on over all of those years operating under the power, anointing and authority to be able to do this.

6. The last and final step, once the curse line has been fully broken and severed, is to then verbally command the demons to now leave you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Curse lines can be broken. Christians do not have to put up with the torments and attacks from demons who have may have been following them into their adult lives and into their own marriages as a result of the legal rights given to them by the sinning parent.

The Bible tells us that having lack of knowledge can cause us too go into captivity. However, the reverse is also true. Having the right kind of knowledge can help set you free and get you delivered from any kind of captivity you may have fallen into. <bio>Article written by Michael Bradley from http://www.bibleknowledgebookstore.com </bio>

Book Reviews On Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance

For those of you who are very interested in the deliverance ministry where you have to face demons head on in spiritual warfare, here is a list of some of the best books in the Body of Christ today on this most important topic.

All of these authors are true pioneers in this field and you can learn very much from their experiences which have occurred on the actual battlefields where our Lord does truly battle Satan and his demonic horde for all of our souls.

1. "Defeating Dark Angels" by Charles H. Kraft

For those of you who are looking for very good, practical. step-by-step knowledge on how to deliver people from demonic spirits - this book, in my opinion, is one of the best ever written on this topic. The Bible tells us to cast out demons, but it does not tell us exactly how to do it.

This man is a real pioneer in this field and he has now provided the Body of Christ with an incredible amount of knowledge and revelation in this area. He covers everything from how demons are allowed to attach to some people - to how to find and break their legal rights so that you can then successfully cast them out. This book will go down as a classic on this subject if it not already is. On a scale of 1-10, this book is a solid 10. For those of you are looking to enter into a real deliverance ministry for the Lord, I would highly recommend that you add this book to your arsenal.

2. "Healing Through Deliverance - Volumes 1 and 2: The Practice of Deliverance Ministry" by Peter Horrobin

Another very good thorough and complete analysis on the deliverance ministry. The above author Charles Kraft gives his highest endorsement on these 2 books. Vol. 1 deals with the biblical basis for being able to have a deliverance ministry from the Lord. This author goes into very good detail on the earthly ministry that Jesus walked with and how Jesus has specifically commissioned His Body to cast out demons as He Himself did. This first volume will give you all of the biblical grounds and authority we have as believers to actually engage with demons when we have to.

Vol. 2 goes into the actual specifics on how to actually cast demons out of people. He covers all of the major basic legal rights demons will use to come in on people and how to break those legal rights so that you can actually deliver people from their death grips. Again, one of the best books ever written on this subject! I would highly recommend these two books as companions to the book from Charles Kraft "Defeating Dark Angels."

3. "Larson's Book of Spiritual Warfare" by Bob Larson

Bob Larson is another real pioneer in the field of deliverance. I have personally seen this man in action myself and he is the real thing. He is highly anointed and very knowledgeable in this area.

This book is 481 pages in length and covers many of the areas of the occult which are drawing people into the realm of Satan and his demons like sheep being led to the slaughterhouse. He goes into very good detail in the areas of spiritual warfare and ends the book with how to actually perform a deliverance.

4. "How to Cast Out Demons: A Guide to the Basics" by Doris Wagner

This is another very good book that gives you a good step-by-step process on to deliver people from demons. Doris is very thorough and very complete in her explanations on how to do an actual deliverance and is also another real pioneer in this field. She has learned much from the Lord as she has stepped out into this area. She too covers many of the legal rights that demons will use to attach themselves to people and she gives very specific instructions on how to actually break their legal rights so that you can really set people free from grip and influence.

One of the things I really like in this book is that she gives you a very good checklist and questionnaire to use when questioning people about their past. You have to find out how the demons have been able to get in on someone in the first place, and with the checklist and questionnaire she provides, you will have a much better chance of finding out exactly what that legal right may be that is allowing that demon to stay attached to that person and continue to torment and attack them. Again - just another very good solid book on this topic.

5. "Pigs in the Parlor" by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond

This book is already considered a classic by many today in the area of deliverance from demons. This book was written back in 1973 and many deliverance ministers today have read and studied from this husband and wife team. These two were some of the earlier pioneers in this field and there is a lot of practical and step-by-step knowledge on how to actual deliver people from demons.

With this being one of the first books ever written on this subject, I would also highly recommend this book for anyone who is really wanting to learn how to do all of this. They share their wealth of knowledge in this area with you and there is much information from some of the cases they were actually involved in. This is real live information and knowledge direct from the actual battlefield itself.

6. "Unmasking the Jezebel Spirit" by John Paul Jackson

This book may be one of the best ever written on the jezebel spirit. This particular spirit specializes in infiltrating the different Churches - and every pastor and deliverance minister needs to know what this spirit is and exactly how it operates and how it likes to set up shop to do its thing. Many churches have been totally ruined and destroyed as a result of this deadly spirit operating through some of the actual members of their churches.

This book will give you some incredible examples of how this spirit can attach to certain people and how it can then influence these people to try and destroy the leadership within the church. Many pastors have lost their entire ministries as a result of not knowing how this deadly spirit can operate from within their own ranks. This is an absolute must read for every pastor and church leader.

7. "The Power of the Blood" by Maxwell Whyte

This was the very first book that opened up my eyes to the power of pleading the blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection. This is just a small 92 page paperback book - but the information in this book is mind-blowing. This man gives real life examples on how he learned how to plead the Blood of Jesus, the biblical grounds we have to be able to use it, and some of the dramatic miracles he actually experienced in his own ministry once he started to do it.

There are not very many good books on how to actually plead the blood of Jesus - so I would highly and strongly recommend that you add this book to your arsenal if you want really more knowledge on this subject. This book, in my opinion, will go down as one of the classics on this topic even though it is only 92 pages long.

8. "The Blood and the Glory" by Billye Brim

This is book #2 that I would highly recommend for those of you who want to learn more about how to plead the blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection in your own personal life. This woman gives some powerful examples in her own life how pleading the blood of Jesus actually help to save some of her own families member's lives. She also goes into the Scriptural grounds we have to be able to use the blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection.

This woman went into a major seeking mode with the Lord on this issue once she first found out about it. You will learn much from the insight and knowledge she was able to gain on this topic. Again, with there not being many good books on this particular subject matter, I would highly recommend that you add this book to your God-library if you really want to learn more about it.

9. "The Word, the Name, the Blood" by Joyce Meyer

The third book I would highly recommend on this topic is the book that Joyce Meyer herself has written on this topic. She too found about the power of pleading the blood of Jesus in her own personal life and how powerful of a weapon it really is in the hands of a true Spirit-filled believer.

She also goes into the power that is in the name of Jesus and the power that is in the Word of God itself. This is also a very good basic 101 spiritual warfare book to add to your arsenal if you really want to learn how to become a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

I personally believe that Joyce Meyer is one of the best teachers we have in the Body of Christ today and you cannot go wrong with all of the books she has written to-date.

Though deliverance isn't talked about much in today's churches, over 25% of Jesus' miracles were some form of deliverance. I consider these books to be the very best on the subject of spiritual warfare. <bio>Article written by Michael Bradley, where you can get 20% off retail on the above books at Christian bookstore offering a wide selection of Christian books, music and bible software at http://www.bibleknowledgebookstore.com </bio>

One of the most important parts of Christianity lies in recognizing the fact that Jesus Christ was divine, himself an extension of the Jewish God. One of the ways in which his divinity is proved by Biblical scholars is to point out the many miracles that Jesus was recorded performing during his time on Earth. In academic circles, Jesus' miracles are often categorized according to the act that was carried out. Thus, miracles that involved healing are cures, those that involved overcoming physical barriers are considered miracles of nature, and those wherein Jesus cast out demons are known as exorcisms.

Healing Miracles

Jesus' miracles of healing are the most well documented in the Bible, perhaps because so many of the diseases he encountered and cured were considered a death sentence by the cultures of the time. Jesus' healing miracles also tended to have a second dimension which offered some insight into his character and his mission as a whole.

For example, lepers were the outcasts of society. Everyone lived in deadly fear of catching the disease which caused digits and limbs to rot and then fall off in a painful and incurable manner. When diagnosed with leprosy, a person was sent away from the rest of society to live out their remaining days in colonies consisting of similarly struck people. They had to carry bells and cry "unclean" whenever they approached other people. In order to cure lepers, Jesus would often touch them, to the dismay of his followers. The examples of the lepers offer several insights into Jesus' character. First of all, he was determined to overcome social barriers. He would approach even the most avoided people in society. He also demonstrated his storied mission of loving the unlovable, all the while of course demonstrating his divinity.

Jesus also made it clear through his healing that it was the faith of the people that he healed that caused the cure. His words after healing several people are the same; "through your faith, you are healed" (Matt 9:22). Through this, Jesus demonstrated that people come through him through their own faith rather than through his compulsion.

Miracles of Nature

Jesus' miracles sometimes did not involve people, although they usually served an illustrative purpose (the main one being to demonstrate his divinity). These miracles are known as miracles of nature.

Jesus' first miracle of nature recorded in the Biblical canon is turning water into wine at a wedding. His mother Mary was a guest at the wedding, and he and his followers also came. When the wine ran out, Jesus' mother approached him, and he told her that his time had not yet come. However, he proceeded to turn the water that was to be used for cleansing into wine, which the master of ceremonies declared to be the best wine he had ever tasted, in stark contrast to normal conventions which had the host brining out the inferior wine second. This miracle can be interpreted to demonstrate Jesus making the unclean clean, of using all things to his ends, and of being straightforward in the presentation of his message.

Miracles of nature also included feeding large crowds with relatively little food, walking on water, and causing his disciples to catch many fish though they had been failing all night. (He also walked through a crowd that wanted to hurl him off of a cliff, and several times raised people from the dead).

Miracles of Exorcism

The last category of miracles that Jesus performed involved casting demons out of afflicted individuals. These differ from the miracles of healing in that they clearly portray a struggle of good versus evil instead of conquest over the natural. He is recorded as having cast demons out singly and in large groups, after having them name themselves and recognize his authority.

All of Jesus' miracles were enacted on different individuals, and many served several purposes. All, however, had the ultimate point of pointing to himself as a divine being, sent by God. <bio>http://www.thewinestandard.com, http://www.thewinestandard.com/wine-glasses-riedel.html, http://www.thewinestandard.com/wine-openers-corkscrews-rabbit.html </bio>

If you're looking for Super Bowl tickets to see if Peyton Manning and the Colts can get the job done and walk away with their first Lombardi Trophy in Indianapolis, you're one of millions who would jump at the chance to see the game live in Miami. The Colts are heavily favored in their match up with the Chicago Bears, but they will have to do much more than simply show up. Below are some factors that should be in place if the final score shows that the Colts are the world champions.

Keep the Demons at Bay

The AFC Championship game against the Patriots was not only a team victory for the Colts, but also a personal vindication for Peyton Manning. He had spent most of his college and professional career dealing with the reputation of not being able to "win the big one." That all flew out the window last week, though, as Manning led the Colts to an 18-point comeback against their old nemesis. If Manning can continue to slay that dragon that has haunted him, somewhat unfairly, for years, and play the game he's capable of playing, Indianapolis should win going away.

Rattle Grossman

If one had to pick a potential Super Bowl MVP, many eyes should fixate on Colts DE Dwight Freeney. If Freeney and the rest of the Colts' DL can generate pressure and keep Grossman from getting comfortable and gaining confidence, they could be the beneficiaries of several turnovers, as Grossman is prone to that when he's rushed and is forced to make instinctive decisions. Freeney is the most likely candidate to accomplish that, as when he's on fire, he's nearly unblockable, and his talents alone would be worth the price of Super Bowl tickets.

Contain Devin Hester

If the Colts have shown one overriding weakness during the playoffs, it's been on their kick coverage teams. Patriots KR Ellis Hobbs nearly turned the entire AFC Championship game around with a big return in the second half. Hobbs is a good returner, but he's no Devin Hester. If Hester hangs onto the ball, he's a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball.

Contain <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/devin+hester" rel="tag">Devin Hester

If the Colts have shown one overriding weakness during the playoffs, it's been on their kick coverage teams. Patriots KR Ellis Hobbs nearly turned the entire AFC Championship game around with a big return in the second half. Hobbs is a good returner, but he's no Devin Hester. If Hester hangs onto the ball, he's a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball. That's not a good matchup with the Colts' leaky coverage teams, and if a touchdown is given up on special teams, that could wind up being the difference in the game, particularly if the Bears' offense is struggling.

Will the Colts Pull it Off?

The Colts are beginning to look like a team that's "bringing it all together" at the right time.
Depending on how depression impacts a person it is possible that depression can lead to thoughts of suicide and depending on the magnitude of the depression sometimes those thoughts can lead a person to actually commit suicide.

What keeps us from noticing the signs and from intervening before it gets to that level? Do we simply not recognize the signs are do we choose to ignore them out of ignorance?

For many suffering with depression feel as if it is a relief, the final end for those who have struggled mightily with the demons of depression. However, too often the loved ones and family members of those who are suffering most deeply with depression believe incorrectly that there is simply no way that suicide will be the end result.

This fallacy has led to many a broken family as suicide and depression go hand in hand far too often. We are quite incapable as families and friends of those suffering with depression to "treat" the condition. It is vital that you help the person suffering by getting them to a professional who can help. Find a professional that will listen and don't stop advocating for your loved one until you get the help they need.

There is no need in trying to really understand the depths of depression and the demons that it brings unless you have battled the war yourself.

Too often we brush off comments that begin to sound darker and darker thinking to ourselves "life just isn't all that bad... there's no way my friend or loved one would actually go through with it... they can shake it off".

Danger, danger... you must not think in this manner. Thoughts of and thinly veiled comments of suicide are not a call for attention, they are a cry for help, they are a cry that should ring through your soul and you should not rest until you have helped your loved one get the help the so desperately need. Do not brush it off...take it seriously...and get moving... intervene now.

It is important to dispel the myth that if a person talks about suicide that they will not make a suicide attempt.

Wrong.

In fact speaking of this heinous act is how you can know that the depression has actually reached the depths of the pit. If you hear these comments, stop whatever you are doing and get professional help for your loved one. This is not a comment that you can ignore. It is simply too serious.

The apathy and hopelessness brought on by the depression can cause someone not to even be able to think rationally anymore. They probably are not even able to form a thought that says "I am going to kill myself because I have nothing to live for", they generally feel so much apathy about life itself that suicide seems a sweet relief.

Those suffering with depression are at an even higher risk for suicide if they are using alcohol and drugs to numb the pain of depression. Suicide does not distinguish between classes of people; it does not just target the rich or the poor. Suicide crosses all social boundaries.

Often times we incorrectly assume that if we talk about suicide with a friend or loved one who is suffering from depression that we will give them that push they need, or we will somehow inadvertently give them "permission" to commit suicide. Again, this is a myth. Often talking about it helps to relieve some of the pressure and anxiety of keeping it hidden.

Another very common myth is that a suicide attempt is a method to get attention.

Good grief!

How many years is it going to take for us to realize this is wrong! Incorrect! No where close to the truth!

Any action taken to end one's life is serious. While some believe that if someone attempts suicide using a method they know will ultimately fail, is just a call for help and not really all that serious. Regardless...hear this...any suicide attempt must be taken seriously and you must do whatever it takes to get help from a professional.

Thoughts and feelings that lead someone to make an attempt at suicide do not go away quickly. If the attempt is survived, do not just think everything is ok with the world. It's not. Professionals must intervene and help to provide ongoing treatment in order to help work through what brought on the attempt or near attempt in the first place.

Depression and suicide often go hand in hand. Regardless of what you believe personally those suffering with depression need help and they need help now! Do not delay.

Help to find the professional assistance needed in order to deal with the dark depression threatening to engulf your friend or loved one. <bio>For more important health and wellness information be sure to visit http://www.the-health-hub.com where we provide for you a variety of health related topics.
Welcome to part 4 of this web course. Each part will reveal a new technique on how to build consistency into your exercise routine and turn that once hated event into a consistent pleasure where you reap the benefits. Say good bye to punishment, frustration, and feelings of being overwhelmed and say hello to your new life.

Are you ready to insulate yourself from mistakes and guarantee you achieve your fitness goal? We are talking about saying good bye forever to the wishing and praying method. This next part is by far the most important step which is practically always overlooked.

Have you completed part 1, 2, and 3 of this article series? If not, follow the link at the end of this article to pick them up. Missing them is like trying to build a house that only has a roof.

"Make sure you get your foundation and walls in first."

As you found out in article 1, not having a target is your sure fire, absolutely guaranteed direct path to failure. So, technically you could say that having a target is the most important step. However, most people have at least a vague idea of what they want. Generally, this is not enough to bring them success, but at least they are not dead in the water.

Have you ever made a mistake? How about feeling like you are wasting your time? Maybe you were stopped by indecision because you were not sure what to do? Not a fun place to be and it's definitely eating away at you being consistent.

So how do you get your very own guided missile to success?

It is quite simple and it involves having a system of tracking and reviewing your results in place before you start your goal.

Most people judge their success only by whether they have hit their target. Simple enough and that is fine for very small goals, but what about larger goals? Do you want to spend years of your life with no clue about whether you are even getting closer to your goal? Years? Who wants to spend months or even weeks? Once again, that is not fun and is guaranteed to leave you with that sinking feeling that you are missing the boat.

We attacked half of this problem in the third article of this series where we developed your next step. Now we will address the 2nd half:

What if you choose the wrong next step?

This is where having a system in place that tracks your daily results is critical. Not only do you want to record the actions you're taking daily, you also need to have a system that will prompt you to review what you are tracking.

If you are not interested in building a whole tracking system yourself and want it to be super easy, fun and automatic, check out Accountability Buddy via the link at the end of this article.

Some people actually get to the point where they are tracking the results they are getting, but then never take the time to review those results. They end up getting way off track, start to feel frustrated and end up quitting on their goal.

Sometimes it is even worse! By simply looking at their results, they would have realized they are almost there or just about to have a huge break through. But they give up when they are only steps away from the finish line. They didn't realize the finish line was so close and they stop, only to end up starting at the beginning all over again later. Ouch!

By consistently tracking your progress and then reviewing what you are tracking, you quickly discover what is working and what is not working. You dump the bad and keep the good and move on. No more ringing your hands in frustration, not knowing what to do.

There are many "demons of the mind" that can stop you on the road to your success. Having a system of tracking and review in place before you start is awesome protection against those demons. Not to mention, it also ensures you get your goal!

You have made it again and are well on your way to becoming rock solid consistent with your fitness goals. Make sure you join us in part 5:

5 Simple Steps to Consistently Get Your Butt in the Gym and the Butt You Always Wanted <bio>Fracka Future, the designer of Accountability Buddy, believes that success does not have to be a struggle.
The first thing you should know when choosing a boat is that no single boat will do everything. If your looking for a boat that inspires confidence, don't expect it to shine in light air. Boats that are exciting to sail on the weekends aren't the ideal boats for a passage through the ocean.

You shouldn't expect to find quick acceleration and load carrying capacity together with the same boat. You can buy a boat now to race or fish, then sail around later - as you can only do one or the other with a specific type of boat.

The logic to choosing the right boat is determining how you plan to use the boat. Think about why you want to own a boat, what you plan to do with it, and how you plan on using it.

For some, beauty is the first consideration. For sail boats beauty is very important, as you'll spend a majority of time floating and sailing around, with many people looking at your sail boat. With people looking at your vessel, you want to make sure that it looks nothing short of amazing.

If you are planning to race instead of cruise, then speed is your primary consideration. There are many cruising sailors out there who simply can't be happy unless their boats are moving very fast. The ideal boat for speed demons are those that can cut through the water, creating plenty of waves.

Fishermen on the other hand, want to look towards fishing boats. Trackers and other boats that are designed for fishing are ideal here. Fishing is one of the most popular boat activities, meaning that you'll have plenty of boats to select from.

When it comes down to it, selecting the right boat is up to you and what you plan to do with it. Take your time, weigh your options, and you'll have the right boat before you know it. <bio>Are You Searching For A Catamaran, Yacht, Kayak Or Just Fishing Boats?
Yes, it is entirely safe - you cannot get hurt while consciously in the Astral Plane any more than you can while dreaming 'normally'. Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming are <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/natural+experiences" rel="tag">natural experiences reported in every culture and society of the world. (However, anyone who has acute psychological problems should probably avoid it until such issues are resolved. Normal dream therapy may be far more beneficial in such cases.)

Lucid Dreaming is obviously no more dangerous than 'normal' dreaming, and Projection is no more dangerous than sleep - probably the safest activity around. So you could say Astral Experience is the safest of sports! It's certainly fun, and you will always be able to return to your physical body whenever you wish. Again, whenever we sleep, our consciousness is out of our physical body anyway, we just usually aren't aware of it. Just as we return to our body after sleep, we do the same after projection.

The surprising thing is that it can be difficult to stay out of the body. Getting back into your body is pretty instantaneous and automatic, but staying out longer can require some training. But you can rest assured, you will always return 'home' from your journeys away from the physical. To repeat, there is zero need for any worries at all as Astral Experience is as safe as sleep.

Some people will try to tell you there are reasons to be afraid of Astral Travel for example, that there are 'demons' or 'negative entities' to be wary of. I suppose these people have never had a nightmare? What is the difference? Neither your dream body nor astral body can be 'hurt', as they are composed of energy. With this in mind, don't you find the idea of being faced by a big scary monster who can't hurt you in any way whatsoever rather funny? I certainly do.

And if you think about it, what's disturbing about a nightmare? The contents, or the emotion of fear? And we are generating both! Consider these words from the psychic Jane Roberts, who in all her years was never bothered by such 'negative' experiences. It doesn't take a genius to work out why:

"Because we were so innocent about psychic literature, we weren't hampered by superstitious fears about such phenomena. I didn't believe in gods or demons, so I didn't fear them. I wanted to learn." - Jane Roberts, Seth, Dreams and Projections in Consciousness p.84

And similarly, you can't be possessed by other entities while projecting either, any more than you can during normal sleep. The process is exactly the same, it is simply that you are doing it consciously. Your astral body is always connected to your physical body by a Silver Cord, which stretches infinitely, it sends messages between one body and the other. This ensures that you - and no one else - can always get back in. Your body remains your own, and a portion of your consciousness always remains with it anyway, so there's no need to be concerned over this at all.

While we're on the subject, we can note that spirit mediumship requires an invitation, opening, and agreement on the mediums' part. Channels can temporarily make their bodies available for the transmission of information, however this process is quite different to projection, as it is done with that specific intention in mind. Some channels can project while channelling (eg. Edgar Cayce) others can remain 'cohabitants' or project (eg. Jane Roberts) and still others receive the information direct to their conscious mind (eg. Ken Carey.) So channelling and projecting are independent phenomena, though it is possible for them to occur at once. Further than this is beyond the scope of this book.

Astral Experiences will lead to madness or insanity either. A spontaneous experience is not a sign of psychological problems (to many peoples relief.) For those interested, there is a book call 'With the Eyes of the Mind' by Gabbard and Twemlow that contains an in-depth study of the psychology of OBEs. Compared with other psychological phenomena, an OBE shouldn't be grouped with psychological disorders such as dissociation, schizophrenia, autoscopy and other 'body boundary' disturbances. Those reporting their experiences are fully capable of living 'normal' lives, which is how most people define 'sane' I suppose!

On the other hand, you may end up finding, like many others before you, that overall, astral projectors and lucid dreamers are often both more sane and spiritually engaged than they were before they started. Self-reflection is really quite a natural part of learning, so there is plenty of opportunity to grow and expand with these experiences. <bio>William Ember is an self-trained explorer of Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection experiences, and has recently authored the most comprehensive and in-depth training guide to these experiences available anywhere.
I ventured into organic farming about 2 years ago. Times were tough for me then. A small ranch style home was my residence and I tried to make a living in my role as a contractor and all around repair man.

With the housing boom vanishing and the economy shrinking, work became lesser and lesser. Soon I realized that growing my own food, would be better for me , so bought an organic farming book. I could utilize my loads of idle time, save on food expense and even eat healthy. Still better it would be a great feat to be proud about.

I had been consuming food cultivated through organic farming, but never really bothered about its details. Even now I don't completely understand it. The kind of organic farming that I was engaged in; growing in small real estate was a world different from the agriculture that the big and established farms spread across the country practice. They research about ways to grow gigantic fields of the same crop.

Their financial strength being strong they can afford to take expensive measures to control pests with no use of any non-natural pesticides. With me the case was different. First, I had very limited land to meet all of my necessities. Second, I had to come up with smart solutions to keep those little demons which could spell doom on organic farming.

The first things to be taken care of were the slugs. Its known to everyone that beer kills them. But you might not realize until you actually start practicing organic farming that there are increasing number of slugs to destroy you crops. I found this article at http://www.verygreenthumb.com. Being on a continuous watch for them is the only way to catch them. Another hurdle were the rabbits. I had never sprayed my lawn as has been a common practice around her.

So I always had the company of these little creatures in my yard. These bunnies are known for two things and it so happens that the lesser known is equally impressive and dangerous. These creatures , believe me , can hog till they burst. Carrots are their favorite. So much so that my initial organic farming months were spent trying to keep them at bay! <bio>Rachel enjoys working for: http://www.beautycap.com http://www.thecraftyfinger.com </bio>

Perfume was at the centre of aesthetics and therapeutics for both men and women in Ancient Egypt. Although the techniques used are mostly unrecorded, historians look to the literature of Greek and Roman writers and relief paintings and artefacts to determine the production, fashions and uses of perfume in this fascinating era.

The act of making perfume was considered an art form in Ancient Egypt. The craftsperson was considered to be an artist and the profession was open to women as well as men. The perfume making process of extraction can be determined by reliefs on the walls of tombs in Petosiris. These show that perfume making had an overseer, workers who completed the extraction and a professional tester who completed rigorous testing using the sense of smell.

The reliefs also pictorially detail two extraction processes. The first process shown was an ancient mechanical extraction process which was similar to wine production. This required a large bag and two staffs which were used as a press. The second was a form of chemical extraction with the assistance of heat and soaking in alcohol. The processes are early versions of modern perfume extraction techniques that have only really advanced in terms of equipment available and synthetic ingredients.

The reliefs also show red berries poured from a container, which details the nature of the products used to extract different scents. The ingredients used in perfume were usually plant in origin such as henna and cinnamon. The ancient natural philosopher, Pliny the Elder, records floral scents such as iris, bitter almond and lilies in his Natural History as being used in abundance. Myrrh which is a resin from shrubs and other aromatic woods were used. Animal fats such as musk are also recorded as being used in some perfumes. Some Egyptian recipes are still in existence though they are difficult to replicate.

However, the Egyptians had typically exotic tastes, and in addition to home grown essences, they also imported aromatics such as ladanum from Arabia and East Africa, galbanum from Persia, and the coveted frankincense due to unsuccessful attempts to grow it in Egyptian climes. The fact that ingredients were imported even in ancient times shows the importance of perfume. The imported varieties were expensive and initially reserved for the use of the gods or export only.

Excavated reliefs show that from ancient times the blend and quantity of perfume was as important as how long the scent would last. Perfume was a major export material in ancient times with various countries battling to produce the highest quality. Susinum was a particular favourite, and the competitive nature shows that in ancient times, some form of uniformity and standard was expected. Pliny the Elder described an Egyptian perfume that retained its scent after 8 years, and the ancient Greek botanist, Dioscorides, agreed that Egyptian perfume was far superior to that made by other civilisations.

Egyptian perfumes were usually named after the town of production or the main ingredient. Storage was in glass or stone vessels, with alabaster being the most coveted. The decoration was ornate and often bejewelled, with packaging reflecting modern day requirements of functionality and attractiveness. Perfume was burnt as incense, as named in documents from the reign of Thutmose III which detail different varieties such as green incense and white incense. Perfume was worn for aesthetic reasons, in the form of oil based liquid infusions, or wax and fat for creams and salves. This suggests there was also a medicinal purpose recognised.

Perfume was mainly for the elite classes until the golden age. It was used by kings who were believed to be of divine descent as it was believed that the gods favoured perfume. High officials were anointed with perfume when they were appointed to office to call the favour of the gods.

Incense was used to hide the smell of animal sacrifice during ceremonies. Balms were seen as medicinal as perfume was thought to repel demons and win the favour of the gods. Perfume was also an important part of death and burial rites. Bodies were perfumed during mummification as it was believed the soul would visit the gods and so perfume would repel demons. Interestingly, 3300 years after Tutankhamen death, scent could still be detected in his tomb. <bio>This article can also be accessed in portuguese language from the Article section of page http://www.polomercantil.com.br/perfume-fragrancia.php Roberto Sedycias works as IT consultant for http://www.polomercantil.com.br </bio>

"There is the known, and there is the unknown, and in between is the doors." =96 Jim Morrison

"Break on through to the other side...Where the day destroys the night and night divides the day...Break on through to the other side." These were the famous haunting words sung by the American poet, rock artist, Jim Morrison of The Doors. With these words, he electrified an entire generation. And with these words, he began his own destruction. Morrison was talking about the great hero quest that he longed to take: to break on through to the other side, the dark side, the spiritual side, the unknown, and beyond. To penetrate the deepest darkness of his soul, enter on to the other side of pure light, and return with a vision to heal himself and his people. But Jim Morrison never returned from the dark side.

Jim was not prepared to enter into the dark side. He did not understand the psychology of the hero soul, and did not have the capacity to deal with the horror of his inner demons. Instead of slaying the dragon, his ego, he fed his ego with more fire and hatred. He set out to kiss the serpent, to ride the snake to the end of time and beginning of eternity, but he was swallowed by it. He was consumed by his own darkness.

The same thing happened with Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. They got stuck in the dark side. By using artificial means, massive quantities of drugs and alcohol, they were able to shut the spinning wheels of their mind and receive a small glimpse of the other side. In their drug-induced trances, they caught the occasional beams of light on `the other side' that penetrated their darkness with visions of poetic expression.

But they did so at a great cost to themselves and people around them. These visions may have electrified their generation, but they did not heal. They simply entertained people, and at best, during their peak, may have satisfied a small yearning inside. But their music did not elevate people to a higher level of understanding like Mozart, Beethoven, or John Lennon.

Joseph Campbell, in his book, The Hero with a Thousand Faces, beautifully illustrates the path of the hero: "the birth, life, and death of the individual may be regarded as a descent into unconsciousness and return. The hero is the one who, while still alive, knows and represents the claims of the super consciousness which throughout creation is...unconscious. The adventure of the hero represents the moment when, while still alive, he found and opened the road to the light beyond the dark walls of our living death."

The penultimate hero is able to enter into the unconscious realm and beyond, still awake, and bring back the boons that elevate entire civilizations and create the titan works that give birth to cultural enlightenment. He or she has the strength, will, courage, and inner capacity to defeat the dark demons of the other side. Heroes also survive the cruel impact of the world. They learn to effectively deal with the initial, furious scorn and ridicule from people that don't understand them upon their return. They learn to shatter the ego, and return transformed, offering people the life elixir to renew and transform themselves as well. They cause the illumination of the collective soul and liberation of the mind. The highest purpose of the hero is to provide a vision that heals our tribe called humanity.

Can we all aspire to become like this in our lifetime? This is a question that I cannot answer, because I have no authority to decide what is possible and what is not. The important thing to remember is that this work is a composite of the universal hero in a state of perfection. We only need to access a small fraction of this power to experience a new life with new power and new blood." [Excerpted from "Psychology of the Hero Soul," by Sharif Khan, Chapter 1.]

Psychology of the Hero Soul is an inspirational book on awakening the Hero within and rekindling people's passion for greatness.
1. The Abominable Snowman, Yeti, Bigfoot, and Sasquatch appear in one form or another in which epics?

A. Ancient Sumaria epic B. Russian literature C. Anglo-Saxon literature D. Greek mythology E. All of the above

E. All of the above TOPICS: The "wild man of the woods" is a familiar figure in folklore from Enkidu of the Gilgamesh Epic, the Russian leshiy, Grendel in the Anglo-Saxon epic Beowulf, and Silenus and the satyrs in Greek mythology. Contemporary reports are regarded by some as little more than modern variations of this ancient theme, but it could be argued that the widespread presence of these creatures in folklore indicates that they have actually existed since ancient times and may still inhabit remote regions of the earth. Some theorists propose that the sightings are of an unknown species of ape or of isolated surviving Neandertal specimens. Other theorists associate sightings of these creatures with the activity of extraterrestrial beings.

2. During the times of wooden sailing vessels, sea serpents were widely believed to have destroyed many ships. Scientific evidence suggests what today? A. A sea serpent is a marine creature of snakelike form and monstrous size B. A large sea serpent is alive and well in Loch Ness C. Exaggerated descriptions of sea snakes or oarfishes have probably been responsible for most reports of sea serpents D. Floating seaweeds have probably also contributed to this myth E. There is no scientific evidence as yet supports the existence of snakelike sea monsters

E. There is no scientific evidence as yet supports the existence of snakelike sea monsters TOPICS: Of course our oceans are the last frontier with many unexplored regions and new species being discovered all the time, so who really knows? Or perhaps they were a holdover from the time of the dinosaurs that has only died out in modern times?

3. Which is NOT another word for demon? A. Panis B. Jinn C. Oni D. Fata

D. Fata TOPICS: Hindu scriptures called the Vedas, composed between about 1500 BCE and about 1000 BCE, describe a variety of evil beings, including the asuras and the panis, who harm people and work against the Hindu gods. Muslim writings describe a group of evil beings, called jinn, who cause destruction and preside over places where evil activities take place. The words fae and faerie came to English from Old French which originated in the Latin word "Fata"

4. Demons are a part of folklore throughout the world including such familiar creatures as vampires, who suck the blood of living victims. Which demon is not correctly matched to its power? A. The storm-bringing oni B. The drowning kelpy C. Iblis the fire-bringer D. Daimon delivering punishment from the Gods

C. Iblis the fire-bringer TOPICS: the Japanese oni are said to bring on storms. In Scotland kelpies haunt pools the better to drown unwary travelers. The original jinn (from Islam) was called Iblis, who was cast out by Allah for refusing to worship Adam, the first man. The study of demons is called demonology. Some ancient societies, including those in Egypt and Babylonia (now Iraq), believed that such spirits were responsible for the functions of the body and that demons caused specific illnesses. The word demon originated from an ancient Greek term, daimon, which referred to beings whose special powers placed them between people and the gods. These beings had the ability either to improve people's lives or carry out the punishment of the gods.

5. Which quality is not true of the dragon? A. Reptilian B. Winged C. Fire breathing D. Hooved

D. Hooved TOPICS: The dragon is a legendary reptilian monster, rather serpent-like in form, that is usually represented as having wings, huge claws, and fiery breath.

6. In some folklore of antiquity, the dragon symbolizes destruction and evil while others attributed more beneficent powers to the beast. Which belief is not accurately matched to its believers? A. Mesopotamia linked the dragon to chaos and destruction B. Ancient Hebrews and Christians both portray the dragon as a symbol of death and evil C. The ancient Greeks and Romans believed that dragons had the ability to understand and to convey to mortals the secrets of the earth D. Among the Chinese people, the dragon is traditionally regarded as a symbol of bad luck

D. Among the Chinese people, the dragon is traditionally regarded as a symbol of bad luck TOPICS: In Christian art, the dragon is a symbol of sin. It is often represented as crushed under the feet of saints and martyrs, symbolizing the triumph of Christianity over paganism. The dragon is deified in the Daoist (Taoist) religion and was the national emblem of the Chinese Empire. .

7. Who were the Titans? A. The demons who created the world, according to Norse mythology B. The first dragons, according to Chinese mythology C. A monstrous breed of sea serpents, according to Egyptian mythology D. The supreme rulers of the universe, according to Greek mythology

D. The supreme rulers of the universe, according to Greek mythology TOPICS: The Titans were giants who were similar to humans but possessed immense size and strength. Titans, in Greek mythology, 12 children of Uranus and Gaea, Heaven and Earth, and some of the children of the 12. Often called the Elder Gods, they were for many ages the supreme rulers of the universe and were of enormous size and incredibly strong. Cronus, the most important of the Titans, ruled the universe until he was dethroned by his son Zeus, who seized power for himself.

8. Vampires are known to be dead people who rises from the grave during the night, often in the form of a bat, to suck the blood of sleeping humans. Various talismans and herbs supposedly avert vampires, but what can destroy a vampire? A. Sunlight B. Cremation C. Stake through the heart D. B or C

D. B or C TOPICS: While popular media have perpetuated the idea of sunlight as the enemy of vampires most older literature does not support this theory. According to tradition, they can be destroyed only by cremation or by stakes driven through their hearts. Belief in vampires originated in ancient times and was especially widespread among the Slavs.

9. The Werewolf, according to ancient superstition, is a man who is transformed, or transforms himself, into a wolf in nature and appearance. Werewolf is an Old English word that means what? A. Man-wolf B. Man-monster C. Not-wolf D. Monster-wolf

A. Man-wolf TOPICS: In Old English werewulf means man-wolf. The werewolf, sometimes transformed under the influence of a full moon, roams about at night, devouring infants or corpses. Stories of such transformations are given in the works of several classical writers and the superstition was common throughout Europe in late medieval times, when many men were accused and convicted of being werewolves. The term lycanthropy refers to the delusion that one has become a wolf.

10. How old was Mary Shelley when she conceived and wrote "Frankenstein"? A. 10 B. 20 C. 40 D. 60

B. 20 TOPICS: Mary Shelley (1797-1851), published her first and most important work, the novel Frankenstein, in 1818 when she was 20. The work was an immediate critical and popular success and has been repeatedly dramatized for both the theater and motion pictures. The story of Frankenstein, a student of the occult, and the monster he assembles from parts of human corpses added a new word to the English language: A "Frankenstein" is any creation that ultimately destroys its creator. <bio>Deanna Mascle shares more Fun Facts with her trivia blog at http://trivialtopics.net </bio>

Our Creator certainly deserves our worship. He is worthy of it, and due the honor. The fascinating truth is that we need worship more than He does!

"Wait a minute. When I praise the Lord, that is my gift to him. How does that benefit me?"When we enter into a time of prayer not for the purpose of requesting things, we're really worshiping. We're thanking Him for saving us, for what He's done in our lives, and what we're expecting Him to do.

We're adoring His attributes. We're marveling at His creation. We're claiming our commitment to Him. We're admitting He's in control of our lives; and professing our trust in Him. What happens when we engage in those prayers?

Consider this. After sin entered the world, God and man could no longer walk and talk together like they once had. God sent Jesus to bridge that gap because He missed that relationship!

He knew we missed it too! Since God is a loving God, isn't it reasonable to assume there would be benefits for us, too, not just a jealous God getting the attention of His children?

Sure there is. Here are some benefits of when we Praise the Lord and Worship:

Grows our faith Strengthens our minds Corrects our attitudes Replaces doubt with confidence Chases fear away as faith takes over Reminds us what our priorities should be Allows us to sense how real He is and how near He is Since worship is not only the act of praising Him but also a lifestyle of talking, listening and obeying His directives, the benefit package applies to both!

Immediately after a rousing time of private worship I feel energized, renewed, and motivated. After a sweet time of corporate worship with other believers I feel calm, secure, with a sense of belonging to the Body of Christ. As I live out my life of worship to Him, I know I'm on the right track, being constantly guided, helped and sustained.

Besides feeling better there's another benefit. Worship alerts the enemy's camp that we're serious about our commitment to God.

When we proclaim our faith out loud, the demons tremble because they know we're tapping into the power we've been given. As we praise God =96 especially through adversity =96 they know we're serious.

Would you refuse the benefit package your employer offers you?
Confess that comes as a revelation to you, that snoring problems can be helped by the use of hypnotism. A single night with a snorer whose problems range from mild snoring to really heavy snoring, can prove to be such a forgettable experience that in the end you are wondering what you can do to protect yourself from such night-time disasters. Whether its you who suffer from snoring issues or it is your partner, you don't have to worry. For Hypnotism might just be the answer to all your worries.

Hypnotism essentially is letting another person gain access into your subconscious mind which lies below your conscious-thinking layer. In this process, the hypnotist relaxes the patient by creating a comfort zone in the mind so that he can reach down and touch deep into the unstated turbulences of the human mind. Snoring is one such problem that can be treated by helping the snoring individual get in touch with the inner recesses of his mind -- by changing the way he or she thinks and feels.

Its not always necessary though, to have a hypnotist to be physically present to hypnotize you. In this age of rapid advances in science and technology, highly specialized audio recordings in the form of tapes and CDs have been made available in the market that can help you relax and subconsciously address your snoring problems if you just play the audio and listen it to in the comfort of your home. "How to stop snoring the hypnotic way" and "Sleep better -- staring tonight!" could be possible CD titles that should pique your interest should you be looking for such audio recordings.

Well does it look too easy? No really for not everyone can be hypnotized. Its not surprising to see some people subconsciously resist the release of control of the mind. Being able to relax to the point where you are receptive to the hypnotic suggestions involved with quieting a snoring problem can work for you. Many people have been able to sleep better without any worries and problems purely because of the hypnotic remedies to snoring. So if you find yourself in dire need of some hearty sleep, you know where to look for to stop your snoring demons! <bio>Discover how you can put a stop to all your snoring worries forever, and start enjoying a Quiet Sleep.
When I was a kid I never kept concentration, nor learned, nor was given any teaching about finances, technical or mechanical or monetary or other duties, thus the thought of keeping a tab on one's car's gas mileage never crossed my mind. It was only recently that I took the time to learn and paid attention to, how to record my car's gas mileage and also learned- HOW it would be beneficial.

My new tutor was my friend, a retired grocery store clerk. I would accompany him on his Saturday errands. One of which would be filling his van's gas tank. You can find other automotive related material at http://www.hubcapreport.com. His activity once a week would be to go to the gas station, fill up his tank, and then write down the car's mileage and amount of gas he had just put in, all this on a small hand-size spiral notebook which kept in the van's glove box.

My friend was a great guy, but at the same time, a mastermind by anyone's standards. He was always up to some calculations or the other. Looking for his pen in his nerdy pocket protectors to scribble something down- an innovation or scientific idea or history-based. So I thought that he used to note down the car's gas mileage just to keep appease his character or to ease the mental demons that he possessed

Before I had purchased a used car for myself I had got into gear to carry out research of various aspects of a car like that emissions standards ratings, a car's reputation for deterioration and then finally to a car's emission. That is when it struck me that my friend did not record his car's gas mileage to feed his mental hunger but to actually to pay attention to his car's gas mileage.

I had initial dreams of buying a truck, or a hot rod or even a sports car, but finally bought a car that I LOVE, a used Saab. I then immediately drove it to the gas station as I remembered that the person who I had bought the car from told me that it needed gas.

After I finished filling the gas in the tank, I noted down the date, the mileage and the amount of gas put in. I carry out the same activity every time I fill gas and thus am able to keep a tab on my car's gas mileage. The information of car mileages for Saabs and any array of other cars is available on sites like http://epa.gov, which people could check before then go in for a new or used car.

The gas prices at the time when I am writing this article, i.e. April 2006 are 25 cents higher that the prices at the same time last year. Thus the prices could range from $2.60 to about $2.62 a gallon. Now I realize the reasoning of recording one's gas milage. <bio>In Ronald's spare time he works with the following internet portals: http://www.hobbiesforfun.com http://www.cmminformation.com </bio>
