Recently, I have someone asking me the following question:

"I'm a happy person, but I want to achieve a lot of things like confidence in being around with people etc. If I try to achieve these other things like confidence, it will affect the happiness I'm trying to achieve. How can I involve these things into my goals and yet be happy at the same time?"

It took me a while to understand his question. (Note: I've tried to rephrase his question to make it easier for you to understand). Finally, I realize that he has a conflict between goal setting and happiness.

Then I found out that many people are having similar difficulties as well. On one hand, they are trying to keep themselves happy, one the other hand, they are trying to achieving more things. But when they fail to achieve their goals, they become unhappy.

This has inspired me to write this article.

The problem experienced by the person with this problem is his goal is adding pressure on him, such that it makes him unhappy. That's because he has defined his happiness as his goal! If he does that, he will NEVER be happy because goal is meant to be achieved, yet happy is a state of achievement. Can you see these two things are totally opposite to each other?

You can never achieve something you have not achieved! So how can you be happy?

What he has to do is to be clear of the way he define happiness and the way he define his goal.

You can read more about the right method to define your happiness at <a href="http://www.subconscious-secrets.com/define-happy.php" >http://www.subconscious-secrets.com/define-happy.php.

If he wants to achieve his goal of being confident in meeting people, he can define happiness as "talking to 1 stranger a week", but he sets his goal as talking to 3 strangers a week. If he defines his happiness and his goal that way, he will be happy if he talks to 1 stranger and very happy if he talks to 2 and extremely happy if he talks to 3!

Remember, happiness begins with how you define your happiness. If you mix up your definition of happiness with your goal, you will never be happy! <bio>Kenneth Koh is the editor of subconscious-secrets.com, a website where you can download http://www.subconscious-secrets.com and read more about the write way to http://www.subconscious-secrets.com/define-happy.php. </bio>

In fact, most psychologists contend that the "personal appeal" reflects the personal view an individual has of himself / herself.

By appreciating the goodness of yourself, you can create an effective means of enhancing your features and make the most of your beauty assets.

EYES

The best beauty assets of every woman is the eyes; they define the overall appearance by enhancing its shape and color. This doesn't necessarily mean that hair care should only involve the use of the correct type of shampoo; but it also involves the utilization of the proper hairstyle to fit the type of lifestyle an individual has.

Hair care is extremely important because the human hair is a subtle structure that needs a great amount of attention. As they say, "the hair is every woman's crowning glory". Healthy skin releases the beauty that radiates from within. It is extremely important to take care of the skin in order to make the most of it.
Success lies in the eye of the beholder. Or maybe that's just beauty. We all define success differently. Some define it according to a bottom dollar amount. Did the home business owner earn more than he spent? Some will define it according to time. Did the home business owner spend time with his kids this week? Did he log in a date with his wife? Some will define it simply according to relationships. Do his kids like him? Does his wife not want to kill him this week? Home business owners have found success in several arenas with some simple principles.

First and foremost, successful home business owners find a way to balance family and work. They remember why they came home in the first place. Few home business owners choose to come home because they lost their job and had no other choice but to open their own business and work from home. Just about anyone can get a job if he really wants to. So home business owners typically come home for one or two reasons: to be their own boss and to spend time with their family. These home business owners find a way to both work hard and play hard. They take their business and family time seriously.

Secondly, successful home business owners read. They educate themselves on business practices, money management, and even family life. They understand the value of seeking out wisdom in various arenas of life. Additionally, the successful home business owner knows that he will grow as a person and an entrepreneur when he applies whatever he learns to his business and family life. He studies those who have succeeded at what he wants to do. He recognizes their habits, demeanor, and practices, and he mimics them with great detail.

Finally, a successful home business owner manages his money. He understands the need to manage money both at home and in the home office. Before he spends his money on bills or desires, he first writes out a budget. He involves his family in the personal budget, and he involves them in the monthly budget committee meeting. He will show them how they are spending money at home and receive their input on the budget. In the same way, he may involve his family in the business as well, hiring his kids as associates or menial labor, thus giving them the opportunity to learn about money management as well, with the first lesson being the correlation between hard work and money.

Success truly does lie in the eye of the beholder. Some people might deem a man who makes only $40K while spending the vast majority of his time at home a failure, and yet others deem his strong family relationship a success. Thus with this in mind, the home business owner must first of all define his concept of success, and then take the necessary steps to become successful in his own eyes. <bio>Jim Biscardi is owner of Dynamic Wealth Systems, LLC and writes on a variety of subjects.
Purpose

Be precise as you define the purpose of your web site. The planning process must include careful consideration of the reasons to create the site. It is not enough to state that the web site should make money, or that it should be profitable, or that it should provide excellent customer service.

A clearly defined purpose will help the rest of the planning process as the audience is identified and the content is developed. Don't even think about hiring a web designer until can define the purpose of your site in one sentence. If you have to go into lengthy explanations, you have more refining to do.

So what's the purpose of your website?

=B7 To inform? =B7 To build a community? =B7 To reduce the cost of doing business? =B7 To generate and prequalify sales leads? =B7 Market research? =B7 To reach a bigger audience with your message? =B7 To carry out e-commerce? =B7 To entertain? =B7 To sell advertising space? =B7 To brand your business or your product? =B7 To create buzz? =B7 To establish trust? =B7 To reduce paperwork, printing, and mailing costs? =B7 To find new employees?

Audience

Defining your audience is an essential step in the website planning process. Your audience is your customer. They will be visiting your the website for a specific reason and it is imperative to know exactly what they are looking for when they come to your site. Your audience should have an effect on the features, functionalities, technologies, and overall flow of your site.

As you define your audience consider their web experience, age, interests, their browsers, etc. If your audience is the teenage market, your website will look very different than a website created for baby boomers. Taking into account the characteristics of the audience will allow a valuable website to be created that will deliver the desired content to your target audience.

Content

Website content has two audiences, your site visitors and the search engines. Content is not filler material. As you develop content you are not just adding words to a page to fill real estate. In essence, you are organizing materials according to your audience's needs. It is content that brings your visitors back over-and-over again. <bio>George Meszaros with http://www.triumphontheweb.com </bio>

Do you have a sales territory plan? You would be shocked at the number of salespeople who I've met who do not write a territory plan unless their manager first asked them. Yet, how many salespeople would raise their hand in confirmation when asked, "are salespeople, in a sense, in business for themselves?"

I'm not sure what the problem is; whether laziness, lack of focus, or other reason for poor planning, but without a plan, you plan to fail.

My first boss out of college, Dick Boren, used to tell me "Plan your work, and work your plan." It was great advice. Our branch went from being a dog at $300K a month to over $1M within one year of implementing Dick's management methods. And one of those methods recommended each salesperson having a plan for their territory.

This article will outline the crucial elements of your territory plan. What you put in it is up to you. If you like, you are granted permission to copy this article and use it as an outline for your own personal territory plan. Otherwise, my firm, http://www.arriive.com/, is available to help you craft your own sales plan.

The elements of a successful territory plan are as follows:

1. Cover Page (make it look like you care, if you're going to show it to someone else)

2. Executive Summary (this is just good protocol)

What are the highlights of the plan? Write this last.

3. Mission

What is my mission? This should be no longer than a paragraph, and succinctly state my primary focus.

"Achieve Quota, be significant contributor in company, enable path to promotion to occur."

4. Objectives

What are my primary objectives? List 3 - 7 items I must accomplish to realize my mission.

"Overachieve Quota each month, Sign 5 new accounts by June 1, develop vertical market strategy by July 1."

a. Set SMART objectives: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-activated.

b. Keys to Success

Identify key items over course of year which will enable attainment of objectives to occur most easily.

"Identify key value proposition, articulate through email, phone, and in-person."

"Solid utilization of company resources, including upper management and technical team."

5. Territory Summary

Provide overview of territory targeting:

a. Current partnershipsb. Current customers and reference accountsc. Geographical description of territory - where are account clusteredd. Top accounts - listed by vertical market

b. Current Competitive landscape, by product/service offeringThis is important. Many salespeople overlook their competition.

6. Sales Strategy

a. Define Customer Buying Criteria, by product/service/solutionb. Define My Company's solutions, by product/service/solutionc. Define Account list by geography, vertical market, solution category (service offering)d. Define which solutions I want to target to which group of prospects/accounts

7. Sales Approach

a. Script out how I want to approach each prospect, by solution b. Script out how I want to approach each prospect, by phone c. Script out how I want to approach each prospect, by email. d. Script out questions for first meeting which must be asked in order to determine needs. e. Structure how I want to spend my day/week/month -- this should take into consideration my own peak moments.

Example of a Definitive Action plan -- Immediate objectives

Action Plan Target Date Completed?

Write Business Plan January 1 Define Account List January 1 Define Top Prospects January 1 Send Intro Email January 10 Meet Top 10 January 20

Now I have a plan.

Last thing to remember: Work the plan!! Follow-up, change things that don't work, add new ideas to the plan each quarter. This is my personal format I use - hope it works for you. If not, try your own plan. The key is to know who you want to work with, what you're doing, when you want to do it by, how you want to go about it, where you want it to occur, and why this matters (who, what, where, when, why).

If you're seeking help growing your sales, ARRiiVE Business Solutions (http://www.ARRiiVE.com) offers training on sales process and topics like "From Cold to Gold: How to Overcome the Fear of Cold Calling to Build Lasting Relationships."

Learn more about the business challenges we're helping leaders resolve. <bio>Copyright =A9 2008 by Scott Andrews, CEO of ARRiiVE Business Solutions.
"I buried diabetes a long time ago, so it could never bury me," says Julie Wanner Rossetti, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a 13-year-old a quarter century ago. "Diabetes is dead, but I'm alive. I've learned to live my life as if I don't have the deadly disease." She shows us how to "bury" diabetes in her new book, Diabetes Can Be Sweet=85Once You Bury It.

1. Don't Accept The Label of "Diabetic."

Remember, you're a person, not a disease. Choose the words that you want to define your life. Be positive. Lose the label of "diabetic." Decide today that diabetes will not define who you are, but you will define what diabetes is to you.

2. Dig A Hole And Bury It.

Go to your local hardware store and buy the biggest shovel that they have. Once you buy it, all you need to do is find a place to start digging a hole. Make it big enough to place diabetes and anything that is negatively associated with it in the hole. Be sure it is all in the hole. Now bury it. It's dead, and you are alive! Let's keep it that way.

3. Take Responsibility.

Taking 100% responsibility means no more excuses. We can no longer blame our parents, spouse, friends, co-workers, the family pet or even the mouse in the house. Invest now in diabetes education that works - and act on this advice =96 or pay later in medical bills or with your life.

4. Choose Faith Over Fear.

Denial is totally based on fear. Instead, we can become pro-active, by inviting faith to come in. Faith and fear do not go together. Choose faith and you will start feeling better.

5. Eliminate Negative Self-Talk.

Don't say what you "should" do =96 just do it! Speak pro-actively. We all talk to ourselves throughout the day. Unfortunately, most of it is negative. Such comments include: "I can't get organized, I'm always late, I will never be healthy again." And the list goes on and on. These comments affect our attitude and keep us from becoming pro-active. We start to believe all of these lies and they become very real to us. At this point, we then have absolutely no energy or motivation to even get started. Now, even though we want to become healthier, we don't. The spoken word, including self-talk, is very powerful. You believe the lies and soon you get everything you never wanted. Start today, self-talking what you want! <bio>Julie Wanner Rossetti is the author of Diabetes Can Be Sweet ...
Did you know that if the world's wealth was split up evenly amongst its population every single person would be a multi millionaire. If this is the case you are probably wondering why everybody isn't rich? The answer to this question is very simple. Everybody wishes that they were rich but very few people actually sit down and decide that they are going to become rich. Below are 20 of the main reason why everybody isn't rich.

1. People never define what being rich actually is

2. People's definition of being rich normally focuses on long term goals therefore making it feel impossible to achieve.

3. Most people over estimate what they can achieve in 1 year and under estimate what they can achieve in 10 years

4. People tell themselves that "they don't really care about money" and then proceed to work 40 plus hours a week in a job they hate.

5. People never decide that they must become rich and take genuine action towards achieving this goal

6. People don't have a realistic plan

7. People don't follow the plan

8. People listen to advice from poor people yet they are very skeptical about advice from rich people

9. People allow other people's opinions to effect their action and goals

10. People don't take responsibility for their own results always blaming everyone else if they don't succeed.

11. People give up when success is just around the corner.

12. People think that their car and house are assets

13. People would prefer to live in ignorance rather than take care of their personal finances

14. People don't understand the concept of compound interest

15. People don't have access investment strategies and high quality coaching

16. People make the same decisions and perform the same actions as everybody else yet they expect to create a different result.

17. People think that investing is risky and fail to realize that not investing is the biggest risk of all

18. In order to become rich you must remember to actually ask for what you want.

19. People want to get rich quick rather than doing any work

20. People don't understand the fundamentals of a budget - spend less than you earn.

Editors note: Only one of these reasons (no.15) relates directly to investing strategies and coaching. becoming rich is at least 90% in your mind. You need to define exactly what it is that you want and truly believe that you can achieve this. You really can 'learn to be rich'.

So if you want to be rich what is the first step that you should take? Without out doubt the best way to get rich is as follows:

Earn more than you spend and invest the difference. Then continue to reinvest your investments (including any interest that you have made. It sounds very simplistic but it really does work. The power of compounding interest is amazing.

So if you want to be rich then the easiest way to achieve this goal is to become an investor.<bio>SharesPropertyMoney.com is giving away a Free Jamie McIntyre Investment DVD to the first 1000 visitors.
A competency model is a description of skills, knowledge and behaviors needed to perform a job or set of jobs effectively. Given the rate at which business needs change, competency models are important because job descriptions and performance expectations can become quickly outdated. With competency models, job expectations can stay aligned with current job demands or adapted to meet anticipated future demands.

Also, the processes we use to select, assess, and develop our sales employees can remain current and adaptable with our changing business needs. We have chosen to focus on these specific sets of competencies:

* Functional Competencies - define what a person knows. Typically these competencies define one function from another. These competencies are often learned in school or taught on the job. They reflect the primary knowledge we are looking for when we hire and develop sales people.

* Leadership Attributes - define how a person behaves. Typically, these attributes define how a person applies their leadership skills. They reflect the personal leadership skills we are looking for when we hire and develop sales people. The expectation is that all levels will apply these attributes based on a person's job expectations and responsibility level.

* Supervisory Competencies - define how a person behaves in a supervisory role. They describe the fundamental behaviours that are necessary to supervise and lead people.

Competencies are gained through a multitude of ways-life experience; formal education; apprenticeship; on-the-job experience; self-help programs; and, yes, training and development programs. All of these together contribute to job competence in a sales person. Ultimately, sales managers and sales people working together and assessing consistency of job performance (behaviors) over time determine overall andquot;sales competence.andquot;

When choosing training and development activities to help achieve competencies identified for your sales team, target competencies - not courses. Too many people say andquot;send them on sales trainingandquot; as opposed to really understanding the actual competencies that need to be addressed. Some sales competencies that might be considered include:

Functional Competencies o Business Acumen o Channel Partner Effectiveness o Computer Skills o Customer Focus o End User Effectiveness o Negotiation Skills o Product Knowledge o Selling Skills o Strategic Sales Planning

Leadership Attributes o Charts the Course o Raises the Bar o Energizes Others o Resourcefully Innovates o Lives company Values o Delivers Results

Supervisory Competencies o Business Plan Implementation o Coaching Skills o Developing People o Leading and Influencing

Most sales training focuses on the functional competencies, since the leadership attributes and supervisory competencies are more appropriate at management levels.
The performance of the sales department of your organization is probably tied to such measurements as the total revenue or sales revenue per product. You may even have geographical information such as revenue from the Northwest or the Gulf States. But in truth, the revenue is not a totally effective tool to measure the effectiveness of the sales department. As with any key performance indicators, there need to be a combination of measures which take into account by the scope and the quantity.

Calculating the revenue produced with the existing sales department is simple. It's a mathematical calculation. But, by drilling down in the key performance indicators for the sales department, you begin to get a better picture of the effectiveness of the sales department. For example, if the only performance indicator used for the sales department is the revenue for the company, the changes in revenue may have nothing to do with the sales department at all. It could be the effectiveness of the marketing campaign, or it could be the fact that the only other supplier of the product just went out of business. Perhaps the niche group that you're selling the product to just became much larger, such as a product which targets people over the age of retirement.

The point here is that measuring the revenue is not a complete nor necessarily accurate measurement of the performance of the sales department.

However, if you were to measure the number of new leads developed by the sales department during as specific time period, or the ratio of leads to sales, then you begin to get a more accurate picture of how well the sales department is doing. Once you have developed measurement tools to help you define such statistics, then it is a fairly easy step to defining how effective the sales department is in doing the job of selling.

While isolating performance indicators so that you're measuring performance in the person or department where the responsibility lies is critical, the company can't lose sight of the fact that many elements may operate to make a successful overall business.

In setting key performance indicators to measure the company's progress toward reaching its goal, it is the process which is as important as the results. Using concepts such as the Balanced Scorecard process especially the modified versions which have become popular in the last decade is an excellent tool to first define and agree on goals and objective, then to define the measurement tools which will be used to determine if the objective is being met.

In the above example, the marketing department may be responsible for increasing the visibility of the product by a marketing campaign, but it is up to the sales department to take those leads and convert them to sales. Neither department would be effective without the expertise of the other, but at the same time, each must be measured by the effectiveness of what they contribute to the mix. <bio>If you are interested in sales performance, check Sam Miller new web-site http://www.strategy2act.com/. </bio>

Incentive marketing is a specific strategy to persuade people to do what you want them to do by giving them something, an incentive, in exchange of achieving an objective. Often, these people are your costumers and clients. Incentive marketing is your way to remain costumers and clients loyal to you, your brand, company or services. Incentive marketing is also used to dispose inventory or to push slow-moving products. Nonetheless, incentive marketing is an effective tool to increase your sales.

To set up an incentive marketing strategy, you need define your objective or goal first- answering "why you need to do it". One very common incentive marketing goal is increasing the sale of your product. To make sure of this, however, you need to understand well the behavior of your target costumers and clients. We say "target" because you can never have an incentive marketing strategy that applies to all. "A glove made for everyone, fits to no one." Further, your target market should be able to achieve your goal, otherwise, it is useless to have such a program and devote your time and money formulating it.

Now, define your budget. There are incentive marketing programs that do not require you to put out cash since you just have to reduce the price of your product or the cost of your service. But no matter what type of incentive marketing you will be using, it is equally important to make sure that you know how much you can afford. In the end, if you were able to define your budget, you know how much you have gained.

There are other important factors that you need to consider when executing your incentive marketing strategy. These include promotion, length of the program and timing, reward, and geographic boundaries.

In promotion, your clients must have the knowledge of what your incentive marketing is all about. You can send it through email, newsletter, monthly fliers, brochures, posters, and other marketing paraphernalia that will effectively inform your costumers about the incentive you offer. There is a budget involve in here. Make sure that you have calculated it well during your initial planning.

The length of the program must be well-planned. Timing is also crucial. These 2 must go hand in hand and will define if your incentive marketing will work or not. To know when is the right time to launch this program, study carefully the behavior of your sales during the year. Take note of the highest point and mark the lowest point. Usually, incentive marketing can be implemented during the months where costumers least buy your product or take your services. Simply put: give them a reason to buy your product or acquire your service when they least need it.

Reward is another important factor that determines the success of your incentive marketing. When choosing merchandise for reward, consider its usefulness, durability, attractiveness, convenience, and uniqueness. Choose also the kind of reward that would appeal to most of your costumers and clients. Since it involves investment, take note of the longevity of the product. Do not just buy too many and stack them to your warehouse. Buy within your budget. Consider the following factors, and give it away before the program expires.

The effectiveness of your incentive marketing will still depend on the response of your costumers and clients but if you take note of these issues, you will surely increase your chances of achieving your goals and pleasing your costumers. <bio>Mario Churchill is a freelance author and has written over 200 articles on various subjects.
Although CSS was first introduced in the mid 1990s, it did not become a mainstream tool among web designers and masters until more recent years. This is unfortunate, because there are millions of poorly designed web sites cluttering the internet that could be easily improved with the help of CSS.

So what exactly is CSS? CSS is an acronym that stands for Cascading Style Sheets. The term Cascading Style Sheets implies two things. First off, the style sheets are cascading. This means that multiple style sheets can be used for a single web page. Additionally, the term "cascading" also refers to the way a style is determined in the event that more than one rule matches a single element. The second thing that is implied by the name Cascading Style Sheets is that the purpose of CSS is to style web pages. Whereas the purpose of HTML (or XHTML) is to define the structure of a web page, the purpose of CSS is to define the presentation.

The reason that so many web pages have broken layouts in different browsers is because they try to use HTML to control the structure and presentation of the page. The most common abuse of HTML is attempting to use tables as a presentation method. Although you may be able to achieve the look you want in a single browser, your web page will look broken and distorted in many other browsers. The only time that tables should be used is to hold a set of data (such as the results from a scientific experiment). If you do have a legitimate use for tables on your web page, you can even use CSS to style your table and make it more attractive.

By taking the time to learn CSS, you will be able to create a web page that looks much more consistent across a variety of browsers. <bio>To keep up with all the latest news and information throughout the webmaster community, make sure to visit and bookmark http://www.dailywebdev.com </bio>

If you want to set a new look this season, then the dark eyes are making a dramatic comeback and are a popular trend among the young and older generations. This latest makeup bandwagon is known as the cat eye makeup. Based on the 50's retro look, this kind of makeup has stirred the interest of glamorous women out there. Basically, the main focus of this makeup technique is to showcase strong eyes while maintaining a contemporary spice on the classic look and at the same time balanced with pale nude lips as opposed to the retro red lips used years back.

The history of this kind of makeup technique is traced back to the ancient Egyptian culture. So if you try to visualize the kind of Egyptian culture you learned in your history classes, you will notice that their civilization is very much inclined to fine arts. Even Egyptian women showed great glamour which are being manifested in their excellently ornate eyes. The perfect look of the Egyptian women is now known to today's generation as the 50's winged look. This sophisticated look in the era of the 50's is characterized as strong and bold yet but with the edge of extreme finesse. Because of this, women who want to reflect their strong personality and at the same time their soft side mostly prefers cat eye makeup.

Did you notice that cats are endowed with distinct black outlined eyes? This is mostly the reason why this kind of makeup is called the cat eye. Though there are some who best describe this kind of make up technique as the elongated almond eyes, the image of the cat's eyes is evidently seen. The eyes of the Egyptian were drawn with lines that are likened to that of the cat's where the black color extends beyond the eyeline and going to the ears. Because of the great femininity appeal of the cat eye makeup, is now the most sought after of Hollywood celebrities today and even to ordinary women who want to exude great glamour and sophistication.

Now are you planning to reward yourself with an excellent look brought by the cat eye technique? Getting the kind of Hollywood and regal look is actually easy as the steps can be done even without the help of a professional makeup artist. To do the cat eye makeup look, here are some simple instructions you can follow. Within minutes, you can now enjoy a glamorous and the look of a star. When doing the cat eye makeup, you first need to make sure that the foundation is properly applied under the eyes and the shading and highlighting must define your cheekbones and define your jaw. Meanwhile, to define your eyes, use a light shadow in your eye lid with a pale creamy brown or soft gray shadow. Blend your chosen color from your eyelids softly in an upward direction to your browbone, and this would serve as your base shadow. Your next step in your cat eye makeup is to work on the deeper side into the contour to be able to define the socket and blend the shadow just along the crease.<bio>PART 2 - For part two of this article, head on to Cat Eye Makeup and to find many other great beauty tips visit natural skin care remedies.</bio>

Are you attracted to romantic partners who come with big problems? Have you ever lived with an abusive intimate partner? Do your friends sometimes make you feel bad about yourself? Have you endured humiliation as a child or adult?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you may be attracting the wrong people because you victimize yourself. We're all guilty of doing this but some of us get stuck in that rut because it is easier to be a victim than to take responsibility for our actions.

I know because I lived that life for more than 30 years. I was a fat kid with an under-active thyroid condition and a miserable childhood. My parents didn't know how to love each other, so I lost sight of what love really meant. When I was old enough to make my own decisions, I was stupid about my choices; I spent more than a decade in an abusive marriage even marrying the same monster twice! And it became much easier to blame everyone else than to take responsibility for my own decisions.

Then one near-fatal night I realized that nothing would ever change until I took control of my destiny. That moment forced me to emphasize what I had done to myself and stop focusing on what other people had done to me.

If you are attracting losers and abusers you may need to undergo the same soul searching I did. In addition, the lessons I learned may be of great comfort to you:

Stop hanging on to the past. Face whatever it is that has taken your self-esteem away and understand that dragging the past along with you limits your present and future. Admit to yourself that you are living in the past, face the issues that haunt you and let go of them.

Don't stay with anyone who makes you feel bad about yourself, especially those who tell you that you are a failure or are unattractive, or who abuse you under any circumstances. Instead, fill your life with people who make you happy and feel good about yourself.

Don't let others influence your decisions. Gather all the information you can find, take your time and make the decision you think will be best for you and your loved ones. Don't make a decision because you want to run away from the consequences of your choices or because you are unhappy at the moment. Once you have decided, take responsibility for your choices. Whether they turn out good or bad, know that everyone makes mistakes. What matters most is how we correct and recover from them.

Realize that blaming anyone but ourselves is a way to avoid taking responsibility for our lives. The blame game destroys our chances at a real life because anyone refusing to take responsibility ends up pushing away the nice guys.

No matter what has happened, it does not define us; we define who we are in the present. Attitude is a choice and something we can choose to change. Stop looking at a half-empty glass when it's actually half-full!

Start believing in yourself. When you do you will discover that you can change your destiny and start living the life you have always wanted surrounded by supportive people who make you feel like the winner you are.

Carol McKibben's new book, Riding Through It, details how the author transformed herself by breaking the shackles of her past and moving forward in the present without fear. <bio>To find out the seven ways we victimize ourselves and learn more about Carol's personal story and her book, visit her Web site, http://www.RidingThroughIt.com. </bio>

The secret of selling is the art of value visualization. A natural sales person will lead the buyer through a series of structured questions, whereby the buyer will actually "see" what the product will enable them to do. The Sales person then will encourage the prospect to put their own value on that capability.

In the early days of selling, sales people were taught to discuss their product's features and emphasize those features that distinguished them from the competition. As the art of selling matured, sales people were then taught to emphasize the benefits of their products -- in other words what their products did for their customers.

"Help your customers realize the Value that they will Gain from buying your product"

Today's the buzz words are all about solution selling and consultative selling. Sales people are asked to look from the buyer's perspective and match their needs accordingly. This is a huge step from the early days of feature pushing, but I firmly believe they need to go one step further.

The good news about this, for business owners who do not have formal sales training, is that this magic step is actually common sense. The secret to generating a prospect who will willingly become a buyer is to get them to define, in their own terminology, the value of having your product.

OK, so how do we do that? We go back to first principles, the reason why you started your company. You probably saw a gap in the market, felt you could create a product or service to plug that gap, did some market research, found there was a need -- and hey presto, you created a company to make, market and sell that product.

So what was that need? What did people really want? If they got your product what did that enable them to do? Could they easily put a value on it?

If the answer is yes to the last question, you need to ensure that your product's cost is less than the value they put on it. Why? Because then buying it for them is good value.

So the real secret to sales success is to help your customers realize the Value that they will Gain from buying your product.

And just when you thought that was enough -- there's more! The final two things you need to fix in your customer's mind are;

When they need to have it What the downside of not having it is

Once your sales person has managed to do all of that, you know what? They won't be coming to you asking for discounts. The customer understands the Value they are getting, and besides, what good sales person is going to ask you to reduce their commission by giving away revenue they don't have to.

Remember, encourage your prospects to see what they could really do if they were using your product, and then put a value on it.

Let me leave you with one question to ponder. Why does a Porsche 4X4 cost €130,000 more than a Hyundai 4X4 -- does it cost that much more to make, is it that much better, and is it worth it? It is truly amazing the value some people put on image -- but then that's visual. <bio>This article was written by Peter Lawless, founder of http://www.3r.ie/ For previous articles like this, visit 3R's Articles.
There's no shortage of design themes when it comes to chic hotel style. How do owners and designers create their distinctive approach?

Colours

Colour, as anyone who's ever decorated will know, is vital to the overall feel and atmosphere of a room. Hotels use colour to create space, warmth and light and to differentiate one area from another. Many mainstream hotels opt to keep their colours neutral, offsetting them with colours in curtain and bedding fabrics, but boutique hotels are more daring, using colour to define the hotel's style as well as its ambience. Neutral colours are popular everywhere, with accents of brighter colours to lift the room, but many hotels choose darker, more opulent colours and bright modern colours to complement the overall theme of the building.

Texture and materials

Texture is important in design and it helps to reflect a boutique hotel's personality. Whether it's the warmth of wood or the sterility of stainless steel, the materials and textures used in a hotel help to define the type of hotel it's trying to be. Minimalist hotels often use smooth textures and industrial materials, whilst those encouraging their guests to really relax will choose sumptuous fabrics and tactile furnishings. Leather, cotton, velvet in the furnishings and limestone, wood or marble on the floors all define a sense of design and luxury that turns an ordinary hotel into a special one.

Theme

Some boutique hotels are obviously themed whilst others are subtle, but a single design theme is usually carried throughout all aspects of the hotel in order to achieve a sense of individual personality and style. A deliberately obvious theme, such as music or literature, will manifest itself in the way the public spaces are designed and used -- a music room, or a guest library -- as well as in the room names and décor and the types of activities available to guests. A more subtle theme will be evidenced in carefully chosen accessories, complimentary welcome packages or services and dining areas.

The great thing about boutique hotels is that every one is different. Whilst there are common elements such as design and service that distinguish this type of hotel from the mainstream, what really makes a boutique hotel boutique should be evident as soon as you walk through the door. <bio>Chic Retreats is a collection of small, individual hotels around the world that offer the traveller a true taste of luxury and service.
As social beings, our desire for connection is a deep and powerful force within us. Babies who do not experience connection with a caregiver do not thrive or may even die. Deep connection with another is one of the greatest joys in life.

Yet for many people, this deep and joyous connection eludes them. Try as they might, they cannot seem to find the connected experience that they so deeply desire.

There is a very good reason for this.

Many of us were brought up to distrust our own feelings and experiences. I was consistently programmed to disconnect from and discount my inner feelings, experiences, and inner knowing. Instead, I was taught to trust an external source - my parents - to define what was right or wrong for me, good or bad for me. The more I learned to disconnect from my feelings and my inner knowing, the more I disconnected from my authentic Self and sought connection from outside myself.

I tried to connect with my husband through being whatever I thought he wanted me to be, and he tried to connect with me by trying to have control over getting me to be what he wanted me to be. We were a perfect pair! No wonder our deep connection with each other rarely lasted for more than a few minutes at a time!

The problem is that can cannot authentically connect with another unless we are connected with our authentic selves. If we are not defining ourselves from within, then we consistently attempt to define ourselves eternally, by doing whatever we can to have control over getting love, approval, attention, sex, agreement, and so on. We confuse true connection with the momentary good feeling that comes from getting what we want from another. We think that relating to another from the wounded ego part of ourselves and getting what we want to feel externally validated is connection. It is not.

Connection with another is a mutual experience of sharing our authentic selves with each other and each receiving caring, understanding, and support - the mutual feeling of being received and cherished for who we each really are. It is truly one of the highest experiences in life. But this wonderful experience is not possible unless we are both able to share as our authentic selves. It is only when we are deeply connected with our own feelings, our own thoughts, and our own inner knowing/spiritual guidance that we can authentically share ourselves.

Sharing our wounded ego selves is sharing who we have created ourselves to be to have control over getting love and avoiding pain. There is no reality, no truth, no authenticity to our ego wounded self. Authentic connection is not possible from an inauthentic part of ourselves. No matter how much you may want the joy of authentic connection with your partner or others, it cannot occur until you authentically connect with yourself.

The practice of Inner Bonding is a powerful way of healing the ego wounded self and discovering your authentic self. These transformational 6 Steps start with practicing noticing your feelings with compassion rather than with judgment. As you learn to embrace your feelings rather than avoid them, you can choose to take responsibility for causing them or for nurturing them. You can move into a deep intent to learn about what self-judgments and erroneous beliefs may be causing your painful feelings of anger, hurt, frustration, guilt, shame, anxiety or depression. You can learn how to open to learning with the highest part of yourself - your Higher Self - who is filled with love and wisdom. You can learn from your Higher Self to define yourself rather than to look to others to define you. You can learn to take loving action in your own behalf. And, finally, you can learn to share your authentic love, caring and understanding with your loved ones.

If you want a deep and joyous connection with your loved ones, then first learn to create that deep and joyous connection with your Self.<bio>Margaret Paul, Ph.D. is the best-selling author and co-author of eight books, including "Do I Have To Give Up Me To Be Loved By You?" and "Healing Your Aloneness."
All of us went through our childhood. It is a milestone in our lives where in we are a little less care free and we tend to do the things within our comfort zones. Playing has a considerable impact in our lives. Now, that some of us has assumed the role of a parent, we must understand why kids must play and how they will play as well as how to develop the cognitive faculty of our kids through playing. Read along to find some helpful tips and tidbits about playing and educational toys for our children.

* Playing and Development - The connection in between.

Playing is a very significant factor in the development of our personalities and personhood during the childhood years. Playing can be a perfect method where in kids can practice being a grown up. During plays, children can assume adult roles and grown up responsibilities. Children can have the chance on how to act like adults without the "real responsibilities and risks" o being an adult. They can explore on how to react and interact to situations in conformity to what the society approves and what is right and just. In order for our kids to enjoy playing, toys are available for them to use. These toys are the tools which children use while playing. Anything that a child can safely play with can be a toy.

* Educational toys for a more worthwhile playing

Toys are available in toy stores in shopping centers and department stores. In the last several years, parents have considered honing the mental and cognitive skills of their children to make playing times a more worthwhile leisure activity. With the desire of the parents to provide the best for their child, an educational toy is more preferred on top of all the wide array of toy options in the market.

* Educational toys in a nutshell

All of us know what educational toys are, but we often wonder what an educational toy is in its strictest sense or definition. Are there any standards to define that a toy can be considered as an educational toy? There is no concrete definition for an educational toy. However, what we came to know about educational toy is that it is a type of a toy which can help the kids to play and learn something while playing. What kids learn with educational toys can benefit them with something which can be of use to them in the future as they grow older. Learning while playing is possible but parents must be present during play times to guide their kids while playing. Parents must control the course of play to keep it educational for their kids.

* Educational toys can work wonders with your child

Educational toys are among the most preferred playing tools for children simply because it can make wonders with how our kids grow up. These types of toys will help kids realize some of the salient points in relating with others, conforming to the rules and strengthen personal beliefs and principles of children.
Dating is one of the most important, yet difficult aspects of life. In the most basic terms, it is when a pair of potential lovers meets at an established time and place, in order to better understand one another. Dating usually begins in the teenage years, and will continue until a person finds a lover with whom they are able to settle down with for the long haul. Alas, like most good things, it quite often must come to an end. It has been said that dating is about dumping -- that the only way to find your perfect match is to go through a couple of not-so-perfect relationships to know that those people aren't for you, and to better define what you are looking for. In order to get more successful relationships, it is important to understand certain aspects of dating.

The first and most important thing to understand about dating is to never give up. Everyone has at least one person that is the perfect match for them. If you do get dumped, sure it's a bad feeling -- but you should realize that you weren't really meant to spend the rest of your life with someone who does not want to be there with you. It is vital to one's dating career to not get depressed about their situation- to be able to get over that last relationship, and start up as soon as possible. Love is not exactly easy to come by, and the longer you wait, the less chance you will have of meeting that perfect someone (not to say that it isn't impossible).

Another important aspect of dating is to not look at physical attributes before personality traits. It is important to be able to look at a person and love them, but not because they are just attractive. Also, it is important to not look at "social hierarchies". Never suppress feelings for a person because your friends tell you that you're better than that person, or never shy away from asking someone who you consider to be better than you for fear that they will reject your request. So if you have feelings for somebody, ask them out for a drink or some coffee, what's the worst that could happen? <bio>Ron Zvagelsky has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Being a teenager is never easy, and for most guys knowing the ins and outs of the fashion world may seem like a puzzle that you aren't capable of solving. Knowing what to wear can be troublesome for guys, especially since your wardrobe may be the last priority on your list. However, you don't have to give up and surrender to the jeans and white tee-shirt look. There are a number of styles that look great on teen guys and will help bring out your inner characteristics and traits.

The first rule of fashion for teen guys is that you must be comfortable. Teenagers often are exposed to uncomfortable situations. You are going through changes, your life is filled with many activities, and let's face it- you are very busy. If your fashion isn't comfortable, you won't be happy. There is great pressure to wear fashion that is "name brand" only. However, if you find that wearing those brand names isn't really what you want to wear, then don't do it. Peer pressure is a very strong force, but you should realize that your fashion is an expression of who you are.

If you don't feel that you are a "name brand" then don't wear it. Ask yourself, what clothes make you happy, or do you feel the most comfortable in. Also, when choosing your fashion wardrobe, it is important to look at your personality and activities. Do you play sports? Do you skate? Do you like rock, punk, or Goth? Again, it may seem that the answer to these questions will define your choice of fashion, but they don't have to. You can choose to be who you want to be. Defining your fashion style is an important aspect of defining who you are. That is what being a teenager is all about. You are exploring limits, testing boundaries, and discovering who you are and how you will express that to the world. That expression will first and foremost be displayed in your choice of fashion. <bio>http://www.chinesewholesaler.com http://www.supplyjewelry.com http://www.usgiftwholesale.com </bio>
