A native of Alexander City, Alabama, Terrell Eldorado Owens was born on December 7, 1973 and is often referred to as 'T.O.' He is currently the wide receiver for the NFL's Dallas Cowboys after being chosen in March 2006 to be a part of the team's upcoming season.

During the majority of the 2005 season, Terrell Owens was an inactive player of the Philadelphia Eagles. The activity, or lack thereof, was due to a contract dispute and conflicts with fellow teammates, including quarterback Donovan McNabb. When Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced that Owens had signed a contract to play for his team, it seemed that all of the controversy from the previous year was over. While Owens is undisputably one of the most dominant receivers in the NFL, his reputation for speaking his mind without regard is a large part of the controversy that surrounds him.

After being released from the Philadelphia Eagles on March 14, 2006, Terrell Owens quickly found a home with the Dallas Cowboys. In a deal that is reportedly worth $25 million and spans over a period of three years, many continue to speculate as to how this new alliance will fare. The contract is also said to include a $5 million signing bonus and a first year salary of $5 million.

While his reputation is sometimes viewed in a negative way, his athletic abilities cannot be denied. Terrell Owens currently holds the NFL record for 20 receptions in a single game and has enjoyed many notable accomplishments, including 103 total touchdowns, six 1,000 yard seasons and reached 100 catches in 14 games during the 2002 season.

After being drafted for the first time in the 1996 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, Terrell Owens is now playing for his third professional football team. From the 49ers to the Eagles and now finding a new home with the Cowboys, Terrell Owens is poised to begin the 2006 NFL season with a new contract, new teammates and in a new zip code. As teammates, coaches and fans eagerly await to see how the Alabama native meshes with the players of Dallas, Terrell Owens will be preparing for a new season filled with plenty of competition. <bio>Bob writes for http://www.EZTicketSearch.com and http://www.FanFrenzyZone.com..
The man known to the world as Jesse Owens was given the full name of James Cleveland Owens when he was born on the 12th of September in 1913. His parents were Henry and Emma Owens, who provided for their ten children by planting various crops on their farm in Oakville, Alabama.

Financial difficulties forced the Owens family to relocate to Cleveland, Ohio. The seventh of the ten, young J.C. earned the moniker Jesse when his teacher mistook "JC" for Jesse, and it stuck with him.

Life still proved difficult for the family, and young Jesse had to perform various odd jobs after school to help. Nevertheless, he still found time to engage in his favorite activity: running. And it was in one of these gym exercises that coach Charles Riley saw the potential in the young man.

Jesse Owens joined the high school team, and there was no turning back. In his last year at high school at Cleveland East High he equaled the 100 yard world record, and duplicated the feat when he competed in the Chicago Interscholastic Championships.

Although a budding track star, Jesse Owens experienced many more hardships especially when he entered Ohio State University in 1933. Racial discrimination was still widespread; he could only participate in "blacks only" campus events, and was also denied scholarship. Furthermore he could only stay and enter hotels and eateries that were for blacks. Yet he persevered.

On May 25, 1935, Jesse Owens established three world records and equaled another. This feat, which took place in Ann Arbor, was made all the more remarkable because the time involved spanned less than 45 minutes. In addition, Owens had an injured back. Yet despite this, he equaled the 100 yard dash time of 9.4 seconds. At his very first attempt at the broad jump, he leapt 26 feet 8 inches, smashing the previous mark by six inches.

Next, he clocked in 20.3 seconds at the 220 yard dash, obliterating the old record by three tenths of a second. Finally Jesse Owens set another world record at the 220 yard low hurdles, setting a new mark by completing it in 22.6 seconds.

It was against this background that Jesse Owens entered the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Here, Adolf Hitler wanted to prove to the world that the German Aryan race was superior, but Owens instead emerge victorious in the broad jump,100 meter, the 200 meter sprint and was part of the 400 meter relay team that took the gold.

For all his success on the field, Jesse Owens still had financial problems. He could not get any endorsements because he was black, so he had to resort to performing in exhibitions, running against baseball players, race horses, bikes etc.

Eventually he became involved in public speaking engagements and this proved so successful he managed to establish his own PR firm. He spoke for Olympics committees, companies, and also the youth.

In 1976, US President Gerald Ford awarded Jesse Owens the Medal of Freedom for having fought and defeated the forces of racism and bigotry to emerged triumphant.<bio>John Grant is a the author for a Jesse Owen autobiography site where he is writing articles about Jesse Owens life.</bio>

As a former NFL player, I know how players influence their teams both positively and negatively. What concerns me is the growing trend of players focusing on themselves instead of their team. This is having a negative effect on the NFL and even worse, it is having a negative effect on youth sports players who want to emulate the ego-maniac pro players.

As professional NFL football players, we all have different personalities. Most players have a positive and friendly personality and focus on helping their team. But, there are also players that have large egos and want the spotlight to always be focused on them. These are players like Terrell Owens and Randy Moss. As a former NFL player, I can tell you that ego-maniacs like Terrell and Randy are a cancer to their team and they always cause more damage than good.

However, what really concerns me is the impact these ego-driven players are having on youth. When young players in junior high, high school and college see players like Terrell Owens and Randy Moss in the spotlight and acting like spoiled children, they want to be like them. And to be like these players means focusing on yourself and acting like a jerk instead of focusing on helping your team. As these ego-maniac players become more and more popular, think of how this is going to effect professional sports. It is going to be a cancer that spreads through the NFL, tearing teams apart and making the NFL a circus instead of the greatest team sport of all time.

For the young people who are reading this article, I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to NOT behave like Terrell Owens or Randy Moss. Unfortunately these two players have gotten away with acting like fools because they are such incredible athletes and the best in the world. But, I can guarantee you that if they did not have the talent they have, they would be kicked off of their teams and not recruited to play for a different team. Both players and coaches HATE ego-maniac players.

One of the reasons why players and coaches hate ego-maniacs is that as the season wears on, a team will have many ups and downs. As a player, you need to support your team and do everything you can to help it during both the ups and the downs. Ego-maniacs love it when their team is winning because then they can claim they were responsible for their team's success. However, when their team is not doing so well, you always see players like Terrell Owens blaming the other players and the coaches for their lack of success. Nothing destroys a team faster than a player blaming his teammates for the team's lack of success. Just look at all the damage Terrell Owens caused with the Eagles when he was blaming Donovan McNabb for the team's lack of success. Isn't it ironic how Donovan McNabb is still on the team when Terrell Owens was suspended and then traded?

On the other hand, what coaches for college and pro teams are looking for are leaders like Brett Favre, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Marvin Harrison. These are the players who stand out and become the biggest NFL stars because they have a great personality, they always behave like professionals, they play to help their team, and they are positive leaders and role models for their teammates. If you want to emulate a pro athlete, emulate the leaders, not the ego-maniacs. You will go much farther in the NFL (or any other pro team), and you will be a positive role model for the young players who someday dream of playing in the pros and who want to be just like you. <bio>Martin Chase is a retired NFL player who has played with the Giants, the Saints, the Redskins, the Ravens, and the Jaguars.
Regardless of the circumstances, fans have always snapped up Dallas Cowboys tickets quickly. The team is one of the most "glamorous" in all of professional sports, and the 2006 season is providing several points of intrigue that are unlike any others the franchise has encountered in the recent past. We'll examine the reasons below why the Cowboys will be perhaps the most interesting team to watch as the schedule plays out, and there's no telling how things will turn out.

Terrell Owens

Yes, the intrigue starts with Owens. Basically, he's getting closer and closer to "meltdown" stage, and the entire country saw his latest tantrum on the sidelines during a loss to the Eagles. It's becoming clear that he was brought to the team by Jerry Jones and not Bill Parcells, and it's also becoming clear that Parcells wants nothing to do with Owens. Owens is a cancer, and his track record shows that when he decides he's not happy, he ruins his team. For points of reference, see the San Francisco 49ers and/or the Philadelphia Eagles. You know Owens is going to erupt, and the only questions that remain are when it will happen and how it will be handled.

Bill Parcells

Although he's never admitted it, it's beginning to look like this is the legendary coach's final season. Parcells is about as "old school" as a coach can get, which is why the match between the way he does things and the "cutting edge" Dallas Cowboys has always been an interesting sub-plot. Parcells is a coaching star, and his addition to the payroll by itself moved Dallas Cowboys tickets, but he's yet to really make his mark on the team. Granted, he inherited a mess, but he's led the team to one playoff game, and there's no guarantee they'll even qualify for the postseason this season.

Drew Bledsoe

Bledsoe is far from a legendary quarterback, but he's always been a good, sound signal caller, especially under Parcells, who drafted him in 1993. However, his age is starting to show, and his lack of mobility is even more defined now than it has been over the course of his career. He's been shaky at best so far this season, and it's quite clear that he is not holding up well in the face of a pass rush. He always had a tendency to throw interceptions when he was harassed in the pocket, but, like many other quarterbacks when they get older, he's getting a bit of an itchy trigger finger when he feels pressure. Bledsoe may not make it through the season as the starting quarterback, and if he does get benched, it'll be yet another intriguing sub-plot to witness.

Jerry Jones

Although Jones played a huge part in bringing the Cowboys back to prominence in the early 1990's, he also led to their downfall after his ego took over and he replaced Jimmy Johnson with Barry Switzer. The team fell to the bottom of the league after Jones got more directly involved with player personnel, and he appeared to have learned his lesson when he brought Parcells in and pledged to stay out of the way when it came to pure football matters. However, he seems to not be able to resist having his team in the headlines, which is exactly why he decided independently to bring Owens aboard without the apparent approval of Parcells. When Owens implodes, Bledsoe gets benched and Parcells reaches the end of his patience, it'll be very interesting to see how Jones deals with the mess when it's dumped in his lap.

Overall, there's no more interesting team in the league to watch than the Cowboys, and it's a guarantee that Dallas Cowboys tickets will provide fans and observers alike with quite a show for the rest of the 2006 season. <bio>Written by Jay Nault, sponsored by http://www.stubhub.com/ . This system has been tested for flammability, performance stability, acoustical, and thermal properties.

The Owens Corning system is one of the easiest ways to finish a basement, and on average, finishing a whole basement can be started and completed in two weeks using this system. Basements are notorious for moisture. Common basement finish materials are drywall and wood, even though these materials are easily damaged by water. Mold and mildew can grow in these materials when moisture accumulates over time. Upper respiratory health is affected negatively by exposure to mold and mildew.

While the system is moisture resistant, it cannot be used as a moisture barrier for your home. If you have existing water problems they need to be treated prior to installation of this system. Under normal circumstances these panels are able to accommodate high humidity which makes them an excellent choice for basement finishing materials.

An Owens Corning basement finishing system is made of mold and mildew resistant materials. In addition to the mold and mildew resistant features, this basement finishing system also has acoustic properties and flame resistant properties.

When rooms in your basement sound like you are talking in a cave it makes it difficult to enjoy your favorite television program or to work out in your basement gym. The Owens Corning basement finishing system panels are made up of an acoustic insulation that provides 75% sound absorption. Thermal insulation is also provided which can create a more energy efficient home. In fact in some areas installing this basement finishing system can actually make you eligible for energy tax credits.

The system is made up of several panels that are fitted easily into a system of rails, and includes the moldings, rails and the panels. Ceiling finishing is not included in the system, although in some areas the certified installers may be able to assist in ceiling finishing as well.

This system can save you money on construction in the long run. When the basement finishing system has been installed it is easy to remove single panels when needed. This is important as it allows homeowners to check their foundation and do any repairs needed to pipes and/or wiring at their convenience. If you do need to get to the foundation for any reason, all that is required is the simple removal of one panel. Once you are finished with whatever repair or inspection work you were doing the panel is simply snapped back into place.<bio>Need tips on basement makeovers?
Last season for the Dallas Cowboys was bittersweet. On one hand, they managed to rebound from their poor 2004 season. However, they failed to make the playoffs, despite a 9-7 record, by one game. Their archenemy, Washington, picked up 10 wins and made it in. This season has been filled with movement, and the Cowboys are hoping they have the right mix for the 2006 season.

Key Additions

The single most important addition is wide receiver Terrell Owens. He gives the Cowboys speed and a bona fide playmaker. He might also give them headaches and turmoil. See the Eagles of 2005. Owner Jerry Jones loves to gamble and show his Texas flash. This is a huge gambler for the Cowboys, but if it works out, they can smile big when they play the Eagles.

Quarterbacks

The quarterback position is filled by Drew Bledsoe. He has fourteen years experience. However, this is a good and bad thing. How many more years does he have left in him? He had far too many interceptions last year. Also, there are depth issues with the Cowboys. If Bledsoe fails or gets hurt, the Cowboys will need to rely on backup QB Drew Henson. While he went to NFL Europe for some practice, he's too green to lead a team to the playoffs.

Running Backs

The running back position is another concern for the Cowboys. They will probably go to a dual system and alternate between Julius Jones and Marion Barber. Jones has been pretty solid--when he is healthy. While Barber can pick up the slack, he's not a primetime running back. The Cowboys running game is expected to be slightly above average.

Receivers

The addition of Terrell Owens boosts the receiving core to new levels. If Owens can keep his mouth shut and just play the game, the Cowboys will have a very nice air attack on the field. As mentioned, Jerry Jones took a big gamble, so we will have to wait and see.

Defense and Special Teams

The Cowboys defense is firming up and could be in the top 10 next season. While they won't shut down anyone, they might now have to. On a scale of 1 to 10, the defense is sitting around a 7 or 8 overall. Health will be a main issue. One can only hope that the special teams play better in 2006. The Cowboys were atrocious in field goal kicking. It cost them games. The arrival of Mike Vanderjagt should yield huge improvements. 2006 Prediction

The Dallas Cowboys have made some key improvements to their team. They have just as good of a shot to win the NFC East as any other team in the division. The NY Giants figure to pose the biggest threat. With the NFC being as soft as it is right now, the Cowboys have a very real shot at the playoffs this upcoming season. <bio>The author is a journalist for http://www.wisebettorfootball.com If you need gambling marketing, visit http://www.gamblermarketing.com Visit http://www.gamblercontent.com for original and exclusive gambling content. </bio>

Hold on tight, football fans - before you know it, you'll be using your football tickets to games that matter. As the games draw near, we want to be able to help you decide which games you must see on your favorite team's schedule. Today we're going to rank the best WR's in the NFL, and this subjective ranking goes much farther than just statistics. Certain players are great because of their statistics, while others are great despite the lack of great stats. Of course, there are a few WR's who could easily crack the Top 5, so we'll include an Honorable Mention section as well.

1. Torry Holt

Although he does it somewhat quietly, Holt is the most consistent top-end performer at WR in the NFL. Over the past four seasons, Holt has AVERAGED 101 catches per year and has piled up at least 1,300 receiving yards in every season as a pro except for his rookie year. Holt is not big, not a sprinter and not enormously powerful. He just does everything really well and is the picture of consistency, even when circumstances around him, such as oft-injured QB's, would disrupt many others. Not to mention, his very nickname is "Big Game," which should tell you all you need to know about how he performs in pressure situations.

2. Chad Johnson

Johnson is a bit of a polarizing figure with football fans, but we think that even though he's got a bit of a big mouth, his trash talk is mostly good-natured and he definitely backs it up. Johnson catches the long ball, can catch the quick outs and help move the chains, and is someone who needs to be accounted for on every snap. He's had 90+ catches and over 1,200 yards in each of the past three seasons, and he brings an element of fun to the game as well. Not to mention, he's one of the hardest-working WR's in the league. Johnson alone is worth the price of admission, so make sure to get your hands on football tickets if he's headed your way this season.

3. Hines Ward

Ward is the ultimate do-everything WR that is an integral piece of the World Champs' offense. He's not going to wow you with huge stats, and he's not dominant in one particular aspect of the game. However, he'll beat you in every way imaginable. He can get deep, he can catch the short pass and turn it into a long gain, he can run, he can throw, and if you're going to be cheating up to stop Pittsburgh's running game, watch out - he's a lethal blocker. Every team would be better with a player like Hines Ward.

4. Steve Smith

Smith would be higher on the rankings, but he had to come back last year after missing almost all of 2004 with an injury. However, did he ever come back last year, with 103 catches for 1,563 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was almost impossible to stop towards the end of the year, and almost single-handedly destroyed the Bears in the playoffs. Smith isn't big, but he's tough, extremely fast, and is lightning-quick in and out of his cuts. He's also got Velcro hands, so anything thrown in his direction is going to be caught.

5. Terrell Owens

Owens would also be higher on the list, as he may be the most talented WR in the game. However, despite his freakish size and speed, he's a team killer. If you want proof, just take a look at what he did to the Eagles last year. If Owens just worried about playing football and forgot about his contract, he'd be pressing for Jerry Rice's all-time records. As it is, he's too super-talented not to crack the Top 5, and given that he usually behaves in his first year with a team, he'll do great things in Dallas this season.

6. Honorable Mention

Three WR's are just outside the Top 5 for different reasons. Rod Smith is Mr. Reliable, and is as consistent as any WR in the NFL. However, he's not a game breaker, and an average-at-best QB keeps his game down a bit. Larry Fitzgerald could soon crack the Top 5, but he's still learning the position. If he stays healthy, he'll be a premium WR for a long time. Donald Driver makes the most of his ability, but until there's another WR in Green Bay to help, he'll never be able to take over games. Regardless, all three of these players are worth the effort of obtaining football tickets all by themselves. <bio>By Jay Nault sponsored by http://www.stubhub.com/ .
Bakersfield in California is the county seat of Kern County. It is the 11th biggest city in the entire state of California. Bakersfield is recognized as one of the most rapidly advancing cities in the country.

The city of Bakersfield is composed of several neighborhoods. These include Downtown Bakersfield, Buck Owens Boulevard, Stockdale, Westchester, and Kern City, to name just a few. Other neighborhoods include Southwest Bakersfield, Northwest Bakersfield, Rio Bravo, Northeast Bakersfield and Old Town Kern.

A lot of tourist attractions are dotted all throughout Bakersfield. The McMurtrey Aquatic Center, which boasts of a Olympic-size pool, and the Bakersfield Museum of Art are favorite attractions in Downtown Bakersfield. The Buck Owens' Crystal Palace is another hotspot, specifically for country music fans. Various Buck Owens memorabilia are displayed on the walls of the Crystal Palace. The Kern County Museum in Westchester has more than 50 exhibits, including the famous Lori Brock Children's Discovery Center and the Black Gold: The Oil Experience. The Rabobank Arena is a center for various forms of entertainment, including concerts, sports activities and circuses. Shopping centers can be found all over the city, such as the Marketplace and the Promenade. There are also indoor malls in Bakersfield, namely the Valley Plaza and the East Hills Mall. Other interesting locations in Bakersfield include the California Animal Living Museum, the historic restaurant Basque, and the restored Fox Theater, to name a few.

Various sports are popular forms of recreation in Bakersfield. Off-highway vehicle fanatics will surely enjoy the area. Water sports can also be played in the area, such as whitewater rafting, water skiing and boat drag. Other sports in the area include horseshoes, tennis, rock climbing, cycling, shooting and volleyball, to name a few. Bakersfield is also home to several professional sports teams, including baseball's Bakersfield Blaze, basketball's Bakersfield Jam, ice hockey's Bakersfield Condors, soccer's Bakersfield Brigade, football's Bakersfield Panthers and Bakersfield Blitz. Bakersfield is also host to several annual games, including the Scottish Games and Clan Gathering, the Auto Club Famoso Raceway's March Meet and some events of the PGA Tour and the Nike Tour.

As one of the fastest growing cities in the whole of the United States, Bakersfield has an economy based on both agriculture and industry, specifically petroleum.

Housing developments in the city of Bakersfield follow a hopscotch pattern. Several locations are currently undergoing developments, such as the Kern Canyon and the Rio Bravo areas. However, the government of Bakersfield has been trying to balance the growth in the area with the need to preserve various natural resources, including the Kern River and the Bakersfield oil fields.

Compared to other locations in California, Bakersfield has a relatively affordable real estate market. There are also a wide range of real estate options to choose from, as the city has an adequate supply of housing due to the continued growth that Bakersfield is experiencing at present.

If you're looking for relatively less expensive housing, with a lot of sports activities and tourist attractions, try Bakersfield real estate! <bio>Seth Willis Jr. is the webmaster for http://www.calpads.com and a savvy real estate investor.
Last season for the Eagles was one to forget. They had issues on and off the field. For the Eagles, the season ended in a couple of weeks. They finished an abysmal 6-10. Over the off season, they solved the Terrell Owens issue. He's now with their nemesis, the Dallas Cowboys. Looking at the Eagles, they appear to be ready to move forward and get back on track. Unfortunately, the NFC East is going to be a rough division. Every team is expected to fight hard for the title.

Quarterbacks

I am not sure where to rank Donovan McNabb. He appears to be going the wrong way in his career. The 2006 season is going to be crucial for him and this Eagles offense. Many will be quick to blame last season on his injury and Owens. Will McNabb stay healthy this season? Will it matter? The Eagles brought in Jeff Garcia as a backup. He's not the best quarterback out there, but he makes for a decent backup option.

Receivers

The receiving crew for the Eagles is expected to be just above average. They don't have a bona fide star on the staff. The Eagles will most likely spread the ball around to each receiver and see who develops throughout the year. Keeping healthy is going to be the biggest obstacle. If Todd Pinkston can play this season--the whole season--he could add a nice threat.

Running Backs

The Eagles have a pretty good running game. Brian Westbrook--if he stays healthy--is going to provide a good option for the Eagles offensive approach. To help keep him healthy, the Eagles might do a running back by committee for a fair percentage of the downs. Ryan Moats figures to get some decent playing time.

Defense and Special Teams

The Eagles have a top 15 defense in my opinion. One key addition this season is Darren Howard. He came over from the New Orleans Saints. As with the rest of the Eagles team, he also had health issues. However, he could provide the spark that propels this defense upward. They also added LB Shawn Barber and DT Ed Jasper. The special teams are also above average. David Akers should be back to his usual good self. Jeremy Bloom was selected by the Eagles in the 2006 Draft and he's going to be a return man. He could end up giving the Eagles that return threat they lacked last season.

2006 Prediction

The Eagles should have no trouble improving on their horrible 6-10 record from 2005. However, they are in a very tough division. Their schedule is a good balance of good and poor teams. They should be able to get to 8-8. How well they improved will determine the rest of the way. Their softer games include: Oakland, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, and San Francisco 49ers. That could be up to seven wins waiting for them. The other nine games are against tougher teams, including the six against the NFC East foes. <bio>To use this article, you must included these links (and they must work): http://www.wisebettorfootball.com http://www.gamblercontent.com http://www.gamblermarketing.com http://www.contenttycoon.com/recreation-sports/football/ </bio>

The NFC East is thought by many to be the toughest division in football going into 2006. If you read enough previews, you'll see any or all of the four teams picked to win the division title, and realistically, any of them could make a late-season run to the Super Bowl if everything goes right. One thing IS for sure -- it's going to be a rough and tumble race to the top of the NFC East in 2006.

Dallas Cowboys

Offseason Additions:

The Cowboys feel as though they're just a few pieces away from getting to the Super Bowl. As such, they were busy this offseason. They added free agents Jason Fabini and Kyle Kosier to bolster their biggest question mark, the offensive line, linebackers Akin Ayodele and Rocky Boiman and K Mike Vanderjagt. Last but certainly not least, the Cowboys brought in the human controversy himself, WR Terrell Owens, which will definitely be an interesting situation to watch. He usually behaves himself in his first year with a team, so this could bode well for 2006. In the draft, the Cowboys added another LB in Bobby Carpenter.

Outlook:

The Cowboys look great on paper with a lot of talent and a great coach. If their OL can hold up, this team will be tough to beat.

New York Giants

Offseason Additions:

The Giants were also busy during the winter and spring, adding DB's Quentin Harris, Jason Bell, Will Demps, R.W. McQuarters and Sam Madison. Continuing to bring in reinforcements for their defense, the Giants brought in LB's Brandon Short and LaVar Arrington. The Giants also added depth to their QB position with Rob Johnson. In the draft, the Giants concentrated on defense and special teams with their first two picks, choosing DE Mathias Kiwanuka and WR/KR Sinorice Moss.

Outlook:

If the Giants can parlay all their defensive additions into a stronger unit and QB Eli Manning continues to improve, this will be a team that challenges in the playoffs.

Philadelphia Eagles

Offseason Additions:

Compared to their division rivals, the Eagles were quiet this offseason, adding only a few pieces and officially removing the cancer that was Terrell Owens. The Eagles signed WR Jabar Gaffney, DE Darren Howard, TE Matt Schobel and DT Ed Jasper. The Eagles had a good draft, adding DT Broderick Bunkley, OT Winston Justice and KR Jeremy Bloom, among others.

Outlook:

The Eagles also get a healthy Donovan McNabb back onto the field, so if they can come together as a team once again, there's no reason to think that they can't challenge for the division.

Washington Redskins

Offseason Additions:

The Redskins took their typical approach to their roster this offseason, adding a slew of veterans and all but ignoring the draft. Through free agency and trades, the 'Skins added WR's Antwaan Randle El and Brandon Lloyd, TE Christian Fauria, SS Adam Archuleta, DE Andre Carter, DB Kenny Wright and QB Todd Collins.

Outlook:

If the Redskins can mold all their new pieces together, they could very easily return to the playoffs in 2006. <bio>By Jay Nault sponsored by http://www.stubhub.com/.
Not too long ago I experienced a major melt down on my computer, I am afraid to say it was due to a virus. It seems the Anti-virus I had at the time was having a conflict with my laptop; as a result, a nasty virus snuck in my system and started playing around. At first, I did not realize what it was, web pages did not load correctly, and programs either would not load or would freeze when they did. I even got the dreaded Blue Screen.

I like many others out there whose computers now have viruses even though they have an anti-virus program. My anti-virus and my computer had conflicts, and I did not realize what it was until it was almost too late. A friend of mine mentioned that I might have a virus; I stated to her that I had a program and it was running. It was then that I learned that not all anti-viruses catch all viruses. She recommended I do a scan on my computer. I did using my old anti-virus and it showed up clean. I was then told to run another virus remover tool, I did and low and behold, there were quite a few of the little rotten things hiding in my PC. It seems that my anti-virus had not done its job. Thankfully, though I found one that did, AVG Free Edition.

Once I got rid of the viruses, my programs started working again, my Internet did not hang up, and my life on my computer returned back to normal. So why am I telling you my misfortune with Computer Viruses, simple really. I was fortunate enough to have a friend help me in my time of need and I want to be able to help you before yours gets as bad as mine did. <bio>Dee Owens writes articles and reviews for http://www.download3000.com </bio>

In recent years in the NFL, the term "OTA" (Organized Team Activity) has come to the forefront this time of year. There are a few reasons for that. One is that the calendar reads May and June, and this is the time of year when activity is at its lowest. The draft is over, free agency, for all intents and purposes, is finished and coaches and staff members are going to cycle into their much-needed vacations.

Another, and perhaps more important reason, is that these OTA's have come to mean much more to not only the team involved, but to individual players. There are several teams around the league this year that are holding OTA's that could bear a direct correlation to on-the-field results in 2006. We'll take a look at a few of them here.

Houston Texans

The Texans have officially cleaned house since the end of the 2005 season. The coach and GM have both moved on, and the team is attempting to implement an entirely new approach both on the field and off as it continues to search for a new general manager. There is a lot to be done in Houston, and the more work the team can get, the better.

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders have a new coach who's trying to instill discipline and toughness on a team that has lacked both in recent years. They also have a new QB to acclimate to their offense, and Aaron Brooks needs that same dose of discipline that the rest of the team does, as he's been error prone in recent years.

New Orleans Saints

For the Saints, everything starts anew this year. There is a new coach, a new QB coming off a serious injury and a new potential superstar whose complete role has yet to be defined. Sean Payton needs to make sure Drew Brees' shoulder will hold up before he can fashion his offense, and Reggie Bush's talents are so unique that they really don't fit a template.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers have a new coach and a slew of young players attempting to earn starting spots all over the roster. Although Brett Favre has always operated in some form of the West Coast offense, he still needs to learn the nuances of Coach Mike McCarthy's scheme. Their defense will feature several new starters and there's a new defensive coordinator running the system.

Miami Dolphins

Although the Dolphins don't have a new coach, they're in a different situation than the teams above because they're right on the cusp of the playoffs. In order to reach that potential, though, Coach Nick Saban will have to break in a new QB in Daunte Culpepper, assuming he's healthy, and fine tune his overall system to ensure that the team takes that next step.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are the choice by many to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Bill Parcells has been building the team his way for two years, and he and Jerry Jones added a player who's explosive in more ways than one in WR Terrell Owens. Parcells needs to integrate Owens into his offense and instill air-tight team chemistry to keep all the personalities in check. Every detail matters for a team that could go all the way, and Parcells is taking no chances.

Teams have different reasons for their OTA's, but they are important. Even though they're considered "voluntary" under the existing CBA, players' chances to earn starting spots can be damaged if they're absent, and teams with bigger dreams can have them dashed if they don't hit the ground running in training camp in July. The teams we see playing into January will most likely be able to look back at a successful OTA season. <bio>Written by Jay Nault sponsored by http://www.stubhub.com/ .
Wow this is a truly hard questions; to start with what gives me the inspiration. I have to say it's the characters themselves that inspire me. It depends on who they are what's happening in their life, one heroine may have had tender feelings for the hero for a long time and impending doom could set it in motion or maybe she will never see him again. It all depends on what's happening to the hero and heroine. Since it is the characters that determine why and how the scene takes place it is also up to them on what will become of it.

I have found inspiration in music, depending on what I am writing at the time, if it's Celtic and this the music I listened when writing Fay's Wish, well I have a collection of Celtic music. With La Roe's it was Creed. It truly depends on the story itself. As far as what I am trying to capture, it has and always will be the beauty of the act of making love and the emotions surrounding it. The caresses, the sweet words, the tender care before and after, it is Love itself I try to portray.

I can say my husband and the love I feel for him, has inspired me a lot. I would not be where I am today without him.

I have said many times before that when I connect with my character I feel as though I am telling their story and as such it is what they need that inspires me the most.

As some of you may know I write in 1 P.O.V. mainly and my focus is always in the heroines point of view, what makes her tick, essentially what truly inspires her. I have noticed when it comes to writing romances that many of todays heroines have as much gusto as the modern day woman making her mark in the world. <bio>Dee Owens writes articles for http://www.articles3000.com.
The title of my book is as important as the characters themselves. So the name of the book is as important as the characters themselves. You can choose an important event as I did in The title of my book is as important as the characters themselves. In my first I named my book La Roe's after the Heroine in which the story was told from her POV, Secondly it also describes part of her. La Roe means The Red and her first name Emerald means Green she consequentially has red hair and green eyes. La Roe's is also about an entire family in which her children will come to play mainly her daughter which according to family tradition will be named La Roe also.

So the name of the book is as important as the characters themselves. You can choose an important event As Fay's Wish in which the mother a Fay makes a wish for her daughter. Then in Mystic Inn it represents the hotel, and Vampires Revenge represents the revenge our heroine will play on the hero. I think the name should give a clue to the reader of something grand about to take place.

So how to name you MS, well as you right it an important scene, place, person, or thing will stand out and hopefully shout use me. I find that I don't know the name until that exact moment. It is as hard as naming your Characters themselves, esp. if they represent them.

One thing to remember though never force the name, it will come to you and if you feel the need to name it temporarily then use the heroine's hero's or even something such contemporary romance, fantasy, or even pain in butt book 3 or whatever number it is. <bio>Dee Owens writes articles for http://www.articles3000.com.
Have you ever read online or had a friend tell you about how their computer stopped responding, an error screen popped up, or even maybe that there computer was compromised. If so then you have heard about some of the horror stories associated with computer viruses and the damage they can do. However there is hope though it is called an Anti-virus. These programs were designed to help keep our computers safe from attacks. Think of it this way your computer gets a cold (virus) and you give it cold medicine (the anti-virus).

There are a variety of Anti-viruses out there, some are extremely expensive and huge monstrous programs while others are free and not really that large. One free anti-virus is AVG Free Edition from GRISOFT. There are versions of the programs that cost, however for most home computers the free version will work fine. Another fact about some anti-viruses is that not all come with spy ware and Trojan protection; make sure to see what yours has and what you might need.

When it comes to any program a little bit of common sense is recommended. First you need to know what operating system you are running, and how many Megabytes your computer has in it. When you know these things then you can see if your PC meets their requirements for installation. If not I do not recommend running the software, for the simple fact if it is to big to run while your computers operating system and few other programs like the internet is running then I just don't recommend doing it. However if your computer meets the requirements then by all means go for it.

Any one who wants to get their moneys worth out of their PC will have a good anti-virus installed. And free of course. <bio>Dee Owens writes articles and reviews for <a href="http://www.download3000.com" >http://www.download3000.com </bio>

You want to write about that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/heroine" rel="tag">heroine driving you insane or the hero of her dreams, but how to start? I suggest writing groups; you will find them both on the Internet and off. In your town or out of another country, but nowhere you go or where you look you will find the group that is right for you. How do I know, how can I be sure? Well i personally Co-Own my own group and am the member of another. I can tell you that my second novel would have not made it to paper without my writing group helping me through the rewrites and rough drafts, the writers block, and getting the heroine and the hero finally get together. No without them, my second book would still be driving me insane to finish it.

I can also attest that without the help of the first writing group i joined i would not have ever gotten my first novel published. They kept me from going to the wrong people how to format the manuscript and what it really took to submit the book to the Publisher.

Yes, writing groups have helped my career immensely, however finding the right group for you is the key to getting the right help. Therefore, what to look for when picking out that perfect group.

First off, I suggest making sure; they offer both honest critiques and helpful feedback.

Secondly what type of critique submission ratio they have, many offer a 2 to 1 ratio, which means for every two critiques you do you can submit one chapter for help with. You also need to see how many critiques and submissions are required to remain active.

Another thing to consider is whether the moderator and owner are actively participants in the group, or just run by other people. How many members are in the group and whether or not chats are encouraged between members? In addition, do they accept multiple genres or just one?

Knowing each of these can help you find the perfect group for you. <bio>Dee Owens writes articles for http://www.articles3000.com.
My, my; what a Question, It truly depends on who the villain (ness) is. Are they related to the character? Have they always been around manipulating from the sidelines? Or are they someone who has recently appeared? It also depends on the type of personality they have. Are they outgoing, possibly highly influential or are they the type that hides and attacks when you back is turned.

Yes you have to give the villain some type of background without going to far, you also to consider are they misguided and will be redeemed in the end, or are they truly going to get what's coming to them.

Each story has a different Hero/heroine so also each one has a different Villain/villainess as such it is only when the tale unfolds that you truly get to know all the characters involved. I will always have to deal with evil and all around bad guys for the simple fact I write fantasy, if I ever branch out into other genres I may not even have a villain at all life itself is demanding enough, not too mention most of the hero's are jerks we have to reform throughout the story.

So do I ever want to whip my bad guys, of course? They wouldn't be bad guys if we didn't.

I never really know my characters until they start to come to life on paper and then they surprise the hell out me. But I imagine for those who know what each character is like or at least a rough outline does the same thing for the villain. And some times a secondary character just becomes too nasty not to be the bad guy.

As far as how real we can make them, unless you go inside their minds you have to depend on the other characters to help you build them and tell their story some throughout and explain their actions in the end. While doing all of this you makes them real and believable while telling there past as well.

I am not sure if I answered any questions or just raised a few more. I do know one thing absolute on this subject, if you ask a hundred writers you are going to get a hundred answers, all will be different the only thing the same will be well aren't villains characters too? <bio>Dee Owens writes articles for http://www.articles3000.com.
Here's the question -- is it better to have a secondary plot or sub-plots? Here's another question, which as a reader, and then as a writer do you prefer?

I think you have to have both.

Subplot = A subordinate plot in fiction or drama. In our terms (A relating plot) Basically a hidden plot that some readers miss and writers don't know they have written, which helps bring the romance to the surface. Also known as twist and turns through out the romance.

A secondary plot is second story happening in the process of the romance. Such as a Mystery Romance, solving the murders.

As a reader I prefer and expect both. As a writer I love the secondary plot and fear the subplot. Not only do you have to worry about coming up with ways for the romance to move foreword and the secondary plot to come to an end but you have to add this hidden tale of the romance. Man what a pain in the ole writers wrist.

What makes a good secondary plot? And what makes a good sub-plot? Can you give an example? And tell us how you would use those tools to your benefit?

A good Secondary plot has to be strong enough to hold up to the tension of the romance plot, without taking away from it. Basically in my book La Roe's Finding the murderer and bringing him to justice is the secondary plot.

The subplot was Max teaching Emerald how to love and trust again. This had to happen for Emerald and the real hero Stephan to end up together.

By weaving a good subplot and secondary plot you end up with a gripping romance even if it's a comedy since all parts play off the main plot, ROMANCE. <bio>Dee Owens writes articles for http://www.articles3000.com.
As we enter the "dead" time on the football calendar, we are presented with an opportunity to take a breath and see what we have to look forward to this fall. As is always the case, dozens of high-impact players have changed teams, new coaches have been hired, and not only will historic rivalries be renewed, but new rivalries will spice the schedule throughout the season. Below are ten of the most intriguing games this season.

Week One

New Orleans at Cleveland The debut of Reggie Bush and the new-look Saints will be taking place in Ohio against a team many feel can be a surprise in the NFL this year. New QB Drew Brees and new coach Sean Payton join Bush in attempting to topple Romeo Crennel's much-improved Browns.

San Diego at Oakland The debut of both San Diego QB Philip Rivers and Raiders coach Art Shell happens on the first week of the revamped edition of Monday Night Football. Shell is looking to take the Raiders back to prominence with a talented roster, and Rivers is looking to take the Chargers as far as he can. If Rivers can step in and perform, the Chargers will be dangerous, but "The Black Hole" on Monday night is not an easy first assignment.

Week Three

Denver at New England The Patriots will have a chance to draw a measure of revenge against the Broncos on Sunday night after Denver ended New England's run of Super Bowl titles last season in the playoffs. The Broncos have added pieces to their roster, including WR Javon Walker, but you can bet that Tom Brady and the Pats haven't forgotten what happened in Denver in January.

Week Five

Washington at the New York Giants LaVar Arrington paid the Redskins $4.4 million to become a free agent, and then he turned down what was reportedly a higher offer from the Green Bay Packers to play for the New York Giants. Arrington wants two cracks at his old team per season, and he'll definitely be one to watch in a game like this. Arrington can be a terror on the field, and fans should expect quite a battle in the Meadowlands in week 5.

Dallas at Philadelphia Week 5 is all about the NFC East, as the other two teams in the division will square off in what as of now is one of the most anticipated games of the season. The infamous Terrell Owens is thought by many in Philadelphia to be the main reason that the team's 2005 season was a disaster. The Eagles rid themselves of what they saw as a cancer, and then that cancer signed with a bitter division rival. Owens is sure to be welcomed back to Philadelphia in a way that can only be done in the City of Brotherly Love, but will the venom present in the stands cause Owens to shrink under the microscope or to rise to the occasion?

Week Eight

Dallas at Carolina Two teams thought to be in serious contention for the NFC title this season are the Cowboys and Panthers, and this game could legitimately be an NFC Championship game preview. The Panthers added their own sometimes-controversial WR in Keyshawn Johnson, whose last team happens to be the Cowboys. Johnson will no doubt be motivated to show the Cowboys that they made a mistake, but much more could be on the line in this game.

Week Nine

Denver at Pittsburgh Although every season is different, one would be stretching it to insist that the Broncos won't have revenge on their minds when they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the team that beat them in the AFC Championship game in Denver last year. Granted, there are many places easier to gain revenge than the home field of the world champions, but this game could also mean a lot for playoff seeding, as both the Broncos and Steelers are expected to contend once again in 2006.

Week Eleven

Pittsburgh at Cleveland Not only is this an intense intra-division rivalry, but many believe that the Browns could legitimately challenge for a playoff spot this fall. The Dawg Pound will be barking loudly when the Steelers attempt to possibly stake a claim on the AFC North division in this late-season battle. This is one of those games where records usually don't matter, but there could be much more on the line than pride here.

Week Fourteen

Tennessee at Houston Although most don't expect either of these teams to contend for the championship, the sub-plot that is Vince Young could create a must-see matchup in Texas. Texans fans originally wanted Houston native Vince Young to be the top overall pick in the draft, but the team surprised everyone by drafting Mario Williams. Titans owner Bud Adams still owns the team that was once the Houston Oilers, and now he could be trotting out his erstwhile team with the hometown hero behind center.

Week Seventeen

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati Everyone wants a piece of you when you're the champ, and people tend to forget that it was the Bengals who won the AFC North title last season. If QB Carson Palmer can come back from a devastating knee injury, the Bengals could be in the hunt for the division once again, and both Palmer and the rest of the Bengals will be looking for revenge against the team that ended their season this past January. <bio>Written by Jay Nault sponsored by http://www.stubhub.com/ .
