Part of success in life is how well we deal with stress. The beauty of this is we can learn to deal better with stress so it is a life skill we can improve. No one can make us do anything. People and events do not cause us stress; it is our reaction to what happens that can or cannot cause us stress. The beauty of this is that we can choose to control our reaction.

The following are eight ways I deal with stress:

1. I figure out what I can control. Stress for me is caused by situations that are out of my control. Even if this is the case, there is always something that I can do that is within my control. For example, I cannot control currency fluctuations but I can take actions that cause them to have less financial impact on me.

2. Stress is related to problem solving skills. I work on my problem solving by writing the problem down. Just the simple act of writing it down tends to help with the solution and also helps reduce the stress.

3. Look at what is really happening. Much stress is created in our imagination. We tend to think the problem is worse than what it is.

4. Exercise. Exercise keeps me centered. The times stress bothers me the most is when I have not balanced myself. Plain and simple - exercise reduces stress and the negative reactions to stress. Even a five minute walk can make me feel calmer.

5. Take a few slow, deep breaths. It is amazing how this reduces my stress reaction.

6. Help someone less fortunate. Nothing puts things into perspective better.

7. Acceptance. If there is truly nothing I can do, then worrying only creates stress. This is easy to say but I work hard at trying to accept what I cannot control; however, not until I have done a lot of brainstorming to make sure I cannot do anything about the problem.

8. Stress tends to be closely tied to time management and most of you know I am a student of this. If I am well organized and using my time effectively, I can handle stress better.

If you are a SYNNEX employee and do not have a copy of my Time Leadership CD or eBook and would like one, please email my assistant, Pam Hughes at pam@synnex.com (see time management â€" she does the work) and she will send you one.

Managing stress is a bit like white water canoeing. The water will win if you try to control it - instead, work with it. Simply help guide a bit, but let the river do the work. <bio>Jim Estill started his business from the trunk of his car and grew into to $375 Million in sales before selling it to SYNNEX. He is now CEO of SYNNEX Canada a $1 Billion computer wholesaler. He is a regular blogger at http://jimestill.com </bio>

Is there anything that can give complete control over stress? There are a plethora of programs and items that are saying they can give you complete control but sadly they do not. Classes and seminars have been given to help you with stress control and are designed to start you out with immediate and correct ways to do so but each one is different. A few may be helpful right off the bat but there is still some that do not work even when they are tried over and over.

Complete control over stress is complete in its personality. We all face different things that cause our stress and each of us will act on them in a different way in different situations. The ways that are used for one individual may not the best for someone else. This technique for controlling stress is a one on one beginning. It is necessary to say that what causes the stress is usually our reaction to find an answer to the problem quickly. When we are taught to recognize what causes our stress, we have passed the first step to starting our own ways to control the stress in our lives. For more info see http://www.stressmanagementmethods.com/ on Stress Management.

Some easy ways for use to deal with stress may be just what we need to start with. Listed below are some ways that are sure to help you and give you what is needed. These ways have been a help for others. These ways are:

1. Exercise- this is one of the easiest and most ancient way to deal with stress. Exercise will help to release some stress but, be careful not to over extend it. Too much of the exercise can stress you out also. Learning to practice simple breathing exercises will help to decrease the amounts of stress you have. It helps to fill the lungs and get rid of the toxic substances that can make our body sick. Aerobics are a great way to begin. This can include a fast walk or jog. It

2. Speak Up- stress can be a result of holding things inside. If you get angry you do not need to talk with someone who is not the party that made you angry or to use other harmful means to get rid of the anger. You can speak out in a way that is good for you. Taking the time to talk, cry, and laugh, are some useful things you can do to relieve your stress. Try to talk with someone that you know will understand or you can just watch a funny movie to make you laugh.

3. Take Up A Hobby- You can get rid of stress by doing something that will get your mind off the situation. There are many different venues you can choose. One such venue is to take up a hobby. You can try growing plants. You will be able to find some sort of hobby that you will enjoy and make sure that it does not cause any extra stress.

These three ways are only things to help you start your journey to a lower stress life. When you start moving forward to the path of dealing with your stress, you will begin to find other ways that will also be helpful. <bio>You can also find more info on http://www.stressmanagementmethods.com/How_To_Reduce_Stress_In_Your_Life/ on How To Reduce Stress In Your Life and http://www.stressmanagementmethods.com/Stress_And_Time_Management_Tips/ on Stress And Time Management Tips. </bio>

Traumatic events that make our lives stressful such as the death of a loved one, a failed relationship or maybe the loss of a job can lead to depression. In rare cases, even positive stress can lead to the development of clinical depression such as a move, getting married or even a new job.

There are times when we all must struggle with very painful situations in our lives. The level of stress that might cause depression really does vary for each individual. Some people can handle an enormous amount of stress and there are others that sink into depression at the first sign of trouble.

The best way to prevent stress from developing into depression is to take care of it before it gets out of control. Stress is everywhere and it is probably not practical to actually reduce the stressful situations that are causing the problem, But it is possible to control how you deal with the stressful situations.

A relaxation regimen is an excellent way to improve your reaction to tough situations. Spending just a little time every day engaging in deep relaxation, or even a few times a week is all you need. You might try Meditation, Yoga or breathing exercises. Walking is an excellent way to relieve tension. Any physical activity will help you relax including sex. Herbal supplements can also help you to relax and calm your spirit. Native Remedies has several products formulated just for the stress of daily living that are safe and work wonderfully.

Make time for yourself. In the long run you will actually be saving time because you are more productive when you feel better. We all know how it feels to be overloaded, your productivity levels drop and you can't think straight. So find the time to relax when you can, you will have more patience to deal with the ups and downs of life. <bio>Find out how to control stress by visiting us at http://www.anxiety-stress-relief.com </bio>

In today's performance driven society people are forced to deal with stress at very a young age. Teenagers are constantly driven to compete for the best or the highest at school, amongst peers they are constantly fighting for acceptance usually based on how "in" they are with today's trends. The way they talk, dress and act are all governed by standards set by the media and cultural icons.

Introducing Teenage Stress Management at Home?

Children are motivated and driven, even bribed to perform well from a very young age. Course materials and parental expectations usually work up a great deal of stress that neither the child nor the parent recognize or address. As soon as the child enters into his/her teens, there are a lot physiological changes that take place which adds a great deal to the already existing load of stress. Let's look at three very important aspects of teenage stress management.

1.Communication

The first step towards teenage stress management is that you establish and keep communication lines open. You should be able to talk with your teenager at any time you need to and he/she should be able to do so, too. This habit should be cultivated right from childhood when you should establish a feeling in the child's mind and heart that you are there any time he/she needs to talk with you.

2.Prefatory Counseling

Preparing the child for the changes he/she will face is another extremely important step in teenage stress management. This prefatory counseling should happen well in advance. For example a child should be told about the changes in their bodies when they are around 11or 12 years old; they should also be assured that everything is normal and expected.

3.Telling the truth

Teenagers usually suffer greatly when parents do not pull along. When there is a divorce in the family they tend to blame themselves for the fall-out between the parents. Keep the children in the loop if you are not pulling along and try as much as possible to keep your arguments private.

In the case of a divorce teenage stress management would involve telling the truth. Never lace up the truth or try to give it some sort of artificial flavor. The children deserve to know the truth. <bio>Learn how to control your stress, don't let stress control You!
Work is a necessity for most of us. We need it in order to pay for the rent and other bills. We also need a job so that we can earn enough to purchase supplies.

There are several other reasons why people work. Some because of ambition while others because of pride. Whatever your reason is, you will surely deal with stress. Stress is present in any type of profession. If you are in the corporate world, you will deal with executives, clients, and bosses. If you are working in the medical industry, on the other hand, you will deal with doctors, chief nurses, and patients.

Stress affects a person in different ways. The way he deals with it depends on the level of stress he faces. Stress can affect his performance too, especially if there are no programs in the organization that helps employees deal with stress.

How a person deals with stress reflects on his performance. Here are some changes in your performance if you let stress handle you instead of the other way around:

1. It will be difficult for you to concentrate. A demanding boss can be very stressful. Instead of focusing on your job, all you can think of is how to impress your boss and you will not have any work done. If you are a nurse who has a very unappreciative patient, you will not be able to give your best to your other patients if you keep on thinking about that particular patient.

2. You will not be able to finish your tasks on time. Stress can be very distracting. If you keep on thinking about the different issues in the workplace, you commit mistakes. Mistakes are time consuming. You have to repeat what you have done to make sure it is error free.

3. It will also affect your relationship with your colleagues. You will find yourself irritable. You find it difficult to laugh at their jokes and you try to shut off from any team bonding activities.

It is important that you channel the issues in the office the right way. Identify what your stressors are. Talk to your friends in the workplace about the things at work that causes stress. They will be the most sensible people to discuss these issues with because they understand where you are coming from. Who else would understand a nurse, than the person who wears the same landau scrub, right?

If you feel that the issues from work are hindering you from meeting the deadlines, change your approach. Find a better way to concentrate on what you are doing. Find a way to deal with your stressors better. Use them as a challenge in order to excel. However, you should be careful. Most of the time, your will to prove yourself stresses you more than it should.

No matter how stressed you are, try your best to maintain a good working relationship with you office mates. Learn from them, if they do not look as stressed out as you, you might find helpful tips from them. Most of the time, you will need the help and advices of the people who understand your situation in order to deal with stress better.<bio>Brent McNutt is actively involved in the subject of Landau Scrubs such as landau scrub and landau medical scrubs and enjoys networking with healthcare professionals online.</bio>

When someone mentions the word "stress", you will probably feel a little bit grim about it. As we all know, stress is something that affects our lives negatively. However, the truth of the matter is that there are many different kinds of stress, and stress is not always bad for you! For most, stress can be an unwanted condition in their lives. But even for these people, stress can also positively work for them. When you are feeling stressed, it is important to bear a few things in mind what it is and how you can cope with it.

The first thing that you should remember is that stress is definitely not "all in your head." As medical professionals will tell you, stress is a very real physiological phenomenon that can easily take a toll on the body. For instance, you will find that in stressful situations, you usually experience a quick heart beat, a raised metabolism level and you will also start to breathe rapidly. Also, you will become more sensitive to your surroundings, and are more aware of the things that are going on around you.

These reactions can be found regardless of the reasons you are under stress. However, there are a number of different ways you can react to this stress as well. For instance, say that you are going to be going for a long trip in the morning. You are not prepared, your tickets are missing and you have no time to get to the airport. You will definitely be experiencing a great deal of stress at this point. Here, stress can hurt you by making you feel out of control. Nonetheless, you can overcome it by preparing for it and managing your emotions properly. Knowing how to stay calm and reacting well to difficult situations help keep your mind in control at all times.

In another example, imagine that you are getting prepared to run a marathon. You have been training for months and you feel all excited about the upcoming race. Though you may not register it as such, it is still stress that you are experiencing. However, you are simply responding well to it and using this stress to motivate you further. Here, stress is good and can provide additional strength to spur you on. Thus, people respond to stress differently at various situations. It is therefore critical that one learns how to use good stress to their advantage, and properly manage bad stress so that it does not affect his or her life.

When thinking about stress, there are a number of things that you need to bear in mind. The first thing that you need to think about is the type of stress that you are working with. When dealing with worry and fear, stress can become very overwhelming. So keep in mind the fact that stress can and should be relieved in all situations. When you have understood the physiological reactions to stress, you will have a much clearer understanding of what you are dealing with and what you can do to take care of yourself.

So, what is stress to you?<bio>Ian Spencer is an expert in solving anxiety and stress problems at http://www.What-Is-Stress.org .
We've all been there; those moments when the stress seems insurmountable. It could be work anxiety, financial worries, or any one of the myriad of issues that infiltrate our lives on a daily basis. But whatever causes our stress, the ways in which we combat the stress is just as varied. What works for one person in combating stress may not necessarily work for another. And when we've exhausted the number of natural ways in which to battle stress, we may come to a place where we must consider if a stress relief drug is necessary to help us feel better and less anxious.

First and foremost, all natural methods of stress relief should be considered and attempted before you turn to a stress relief drug. Often a simple change in lifestyle will go a long way towards helping you get control of the stress that's affecting you. These natural methods of stress relief can include =96 but are not limited to =96 exercise, meditation, diet, and holistic methods such as therapeutic massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic work. Give yourself enough time with at least some of these methods to see if they make a change in the way you are feeling. Exercise, in particular, often induces much of the same feelings that a stress relief drug can have in your body.

But if these methods do not work for you and you are still feeling overwhelmed and anxious throughout the course of the day then it may be time to consider a stress relief drug. It is important to always work with your doctor regarding these important decisions and to stay in contact with said doctor throughout the time that you take the stress relief drug so that you are properly monitored. Further, if you have other medical conditions =96 such as high blood pressure or a history of depression =96 your doctor will take this information into consideration before prescribing any particular medication.

In some cases you may be given a stress relief drug to help you through an intense and temporary stressful event. In other cases, if you have been known to battle anxiety in the past, or if you're having a particularly long bout of it, your doctor may choose to prescribe another type of stress relief drug that you take on a daily basis and allows you to manage stress continually.

Regardless of whether you choose to handle stress through natural methods or with the use of a stress relief drug, you must know that there is no cause to suffer in this day and age. In today's world, there are new and better methods to help you deal with stress and allow you to feel comfortable and happy =96 so that you can enjoy life. <bio>For easy to understand, in depth information about stress relief drug visit our ezGuide http://stressrelief.ezguide2.com </bio>

Many of us have problems with stress and this can sometimes lead to the misuse of alcohol.

If you have a situation that has led you to abusing alcohol and need some ideas to reduce the stress while avoiding using alcohol, Parts One and Two of this article may help.

A little bit of stress is good but too much stress is not. Sometimes we are so stressed out we turn to alcohol and at some point may realize we are having a problem with the overuse of it.

It may be time to think about stress and the effect it is having on you. You may need ways to deal with your stress while staying away from alcohol.

There are many possible problems with long-term stress. Alcohol use can intensify these problems even though the use of alcohol may seem to relax you at first.

The situation becomes difficult and even life-threatening when alcohol is used to an extreme and becomes an addition.

When you are dealing with too much stress you may find that you are having trouble sleeping. You may develop frequent headaches even if they have never been a problem for you before.

Constipation or diarrhea can become daily occurrences and you may also notice that you don't have the concentration you used to have.

A person who is under a lot of stress may experience a greater level of irritability.

Mix this with a moderate or high usage of alcohol and your stress level may become even worse. Your energy may drop off and you may feel sad at times or angry.

The use of alcohol in addition to the stress will not improve the situation.

Eating may become an issue and people often overeat and gain far too much weight or they may not be hungry, eat very little and become too thin.

People who live with too much stress can have high tension levels as well as a higher risk of asthma and arthritis flare-ups.

Depression and anxiety often accompany those who are dealing with too much stress.

When alcohol is used as a way to fix the problem other health issues may arise. Heart problems and high blood pressure can become factors.

Irritable bowel syndrome is another possibility and alcohol consumption certainly does not help this condition.

There are many other ways to handle too much stress. As you can imagine when alcohol is used to alleviate stress the problems may only multiply.

In the second part of this series we will give you healthier ways to handle stress. You can give up alcohol and find ways to make too much stress a thing of the past. You will feel better and be able to live a life free of alcohol. <bio>Discover how to stop drinking alcohol permanently, within 21 days guaranteed For more information go to:http://www.stopdrinkingadvice.org/ </bio>

Stress is something that each and every one of us faces and has to deal with daily. There are times when stress can get the best out of us. It can make life really difficult, and if not dealt with properly may lead to numerous health problems. This is why it is important that we deal with stress in the most positive way that we can. To help you manage your stress effectively, here are 3 stress games that will relief your stress.

1. Board Games or Puzzles

I am sure that you have had one of those days, where it seems like everything that can go wrong already has and you simply cannot take anymore nonsense in your life. You can gradually feel the stress and headache develop in your head. Then something unexpected makes you laugh, one of those good belly laughs. Before you knew it, your stress is gone. Whatever was bothering you seems to have disappeared.

One of the best ways to relief stress is to play games that make you laugh, as they will help take your mind off all your troubles. Try a game of charades or Pictionary with a group of friends, or other online games that are relaxing to help relief some tension.

Puzzles are the favorite of many. They include jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, word searches and such. All of these games work to keep your mind preoccupied. Your mind will be busy focusing on the tasks before you; and therefore have no chance to think about all your worries and troubles.

2. Exercise

Exercising does not necessarily mean working out at the gym. While for some, the best way to handle stress is to get a good work out, however, you can always consider other less intensive games if you prefer a lighter exercise regime. For instance, participating in outdoor sports like softball, baseball or even football helps to remove some of the pressure that you are facing as your mind is focused elsewhere. An entire hour of physical activity will definitely make you feel better and refreshed.

If you are not into sports, consider taking a roll in the park or at the beach. Getting a breather and some fresh air will surely make you feel good about yourself.

3. Hobbies

Having a hobby or doing something that interests you will help relief your stress. They range from reading a book, to sewing or even gardening. Some men may prefer flying model plans, going fishing or golfing. These are all hobbies that can help one relief stress as they provide lots of enjoyment and fun. Make a date with yourself and give yourself a much deserved break. You do them on a routine basis so as to manage your stress effectively, instead of waiting for it to build up. Dealing with stress is essential to having good and enhanced health.

These 3 stress games that will relief your stress has worked for many. So, get your life back on track by preventing or managing stress effectively today.<bio>Ian Spencer is an expert in solving anxiety and stress problems at http://www.What-Is-Stress.org .
One thing that is coming up more than ever is the condition called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Some were aware of it before this became the common name and remember it as shell shock. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a disorder suffered by rising numbers of people today.

It starts with events that are so traumatic for those suffering, that they can't deal with it all at once, and shouldn't be expected too. In wars, many soldiers experience horrors that were extremely beyond anything they could ever prepare for. This has been a strongly noticed issue on the rise since the many soldiers returned home from the Vietnam War.

It's definitely not solely experienced by soldiers either, rather many have experienced post traumatic stress disorder from acts of violence around crime scenes, devastating losses, repeated abuses beyond imagination, and yet many more situations. The key factor often being the result is severely traumatizing to them.

The Many Symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Whatever the cause, untreated, those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder stand to deal with many side effects including sleep trouble, anxiety, depression, flashbacks, and even blackouts when these occur. While they came back, the issues of their trauma are still buried deep in their mind in full force. Often under lock and key to dwell on, or seemingly forget; though unlike other matters of life it's far from forgotten. Hidden are vivid details and in this state it will simply show many other symptoms throughout everyday life.

One of the more extreme side effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is another disorder called Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD), in which studies indicate all cases have PTSD as well. Split personalities seem to be one of the ways the human mind can deal with the trauma hidden back in.

How to Deal With Post Traumatic Stress Disorder It's very unlikely that any individual can deal entirely with their own Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; however they will indeed need to be the major player in it. Professional Counseling is a good start for those believing they have PTSD.

First will be the diagnosis which will determine if Post Traumatic Stress Disorder exists in their case. This can be tricky at times though the steps professionals use become more refined from experience and studies. With a positive diagnosis treatment can begin.

Treatment can be a mix of counseling, support group, and quite possibly treatment for a number of other conditions that may be found. These may include anxiety, depression, insomnia, and more. For the patient, it's important to try to keep up with it all.

One thing that will definitely be necessary when treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is unraveling the layers of emotional feelings, fears and other things that may have long been hidden and attempted forgotten. Learning to deal with these feelings and fears is the most important thing. Being able to find someone they can open up to about them and get the word out of their head will indeed bring long-term progress

In The End Hopefully this article has informed you of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. If you believe you or someone you know has this disorder, it would be very wise to find out. Hopefully not, though those that do, need help to get past their trauma. Once past it there is a lot of hope for a better life. <bio>For help with managing your stress, go to http://loweryourstress.com/stress-management.html </bio>

Busy family lifestyles lead to stressed out families. Stressed out families can often lead to more problems and issues. Learning to deal with family stress before the stress becomes a huge problem is a good idea. If you already have problems, then learning to deal with the issues that are causing you stress is essential in helping you to overcome these difficulties.

One of the bigger attributers to stress is over commitment. Families are pulled in multiple directions by varying activities. The more children there are the more activities there are, the more refined the balancing act becomes.

Think about the list of activities that you and your children are involved in. Why are they involved in each activity? Is it because they have a passion for it or is it because they needed to have a more rounded activity schedule? Let your child choose a few activities that they feel drawn to. Let them explore their passions, but don't sign them up for every activity there is. Teach them to pick and choose their priorities when choosing activities. Doing one thing and doing it well is different from doing several things that there isn't a passion for.

The same that applies for your children and their activities should apply to yours as well. Learn to say no. If you are already committed to several activities and are stressed for time, do you really need to participate in one more activity? Learning to say no and to weed through the activities you already do will help cut down on your stress.

A less stressed parent makes a less stressed child. Our moods and behaviors are often reflected in our children. Leading by example is a wonderful motto to live by. Our children see how we deal with stress and emulate it. Wading through our activities and learning to say no are only two activities. Another one would be to learn to slow down and enjoy family time.

When is the last time you had a sit down meal with everyone gathered around the table? A meal where there was no rush to get somewhere or to go and pick someone up. Having a meal together is a family bonding time. It is an excellent opportunity for children and parents to be together. They can discuss what is on their minds, what goals they have or even what is bothering them, to cause stress. Just this simple act of sitting down and sharing a meal can lower stress in a family.

Have a family movie or game night. These are activities that everyone can enjoy together. Have the children and parents take turns picking out movies or games to play. There may be old family favorites or you may find new ones that become your family's games.

Whatever you choose, do it together. The more a family shares, at meals, movies or over games, the closer they become. A closer a family is the more they are inclined to talk and discuss things. This is a great combat against family stress.<bio>Reduce your family's stress with Real Life Solutions from Aurelia Williams.</bio>

The ways in which people experience stress are as unique as the individuals themselves; and the causes just as varied. Causes of stress are diverse and can result in a downward spiral of physical and emotional health. To battle and conquer stress, one must first understand their own individual causes of stress so as to handle situations that arise with clarity and preparedness.

For some, causes of stress stem from career and work conflict. Whether it be working several jobs to make ends meet or working long hours to meet deadlines. Worry combined with exhaustion can make for one of the most significant causes of stress. In the battle to ward off causes of stress such as these it is important to be an active participant in your time management. Taking on too many projects at once -- to the point where it limits sleep and leaves little time for any other activities -- can be detrimental in the long run.

Causes of stress that result from personal and social conflict can also be pervasive and dangerous for physical and emotional health. The break-up of a relationship, the loss of a loved one, or the dissolution of a family unit can be one of the most debilitating causes of stress.

Tackling your causes of stress can be a personal journey. You may identify those causes of stress that are most prevalent in your life and take measures to avoid them as much as possible or determine what will help you combat the effects. If you know that a certain periodic business meeting causes you stress then prepare yourself; get a lot of sleep the night before, exercise the morning of, or meditate just prior to the meeting.

As opposed to painful, short-lived periods of stress, long term causes of stress are easier to track. You can easily predict causes of stress if you are vigilant about your daily activities.

It may be helpful to keep a journal with you at all times; this will allow you to keep track of those situations in which you feel the most stress. Also, finding support to deal with your causes of stress can be enormously helpful; find someone to talk to whom you can trust or find a group of like-minded peers with whom you can share your experiences.

Not everything works for everyone; take the time to identify what affects you negatively and go from there. You may find that being proactive and prepared will greatly help you attack your causes of stress. <bio>For easy to understand, in depth information about stress management visit our ezGuide 2 http://ezguide2.com/category/stress/ </bio>

Life is not always as simple and easy for children as one may think. Children need to meet the harsh demands of school top on of their personal and social lives. In addition, many parents also send their children for supplementary classes for enrichment purposes and attempt to discover their children's talents by having them engaged in cultural activities at the same time. Pressure from within the home and from people around contributes to the high levels of unnecessary stress that young children are facing today. As such, it is crucial that parents know the 3 ways of helping children cope with stress and deal with feelings.

The most basic thing to do to help your child cope with stress is to understand what stress actually is. Stress is our body's way of reacting to specific events or changes in our lives that are taking place. Some children are brought up in an environment that encourages and guides him or her to deal with stress in a positive way. Thus, it is important that parents learn the skills to teach their children how to respond to stressful and tense situations in a more optimistic manner.

The first people that children usually turn to for support are their parents. As such, parents should always ensure that they are there to provide a listening ear to their children. They should also be prepared to share good advice when the need calls for some. The goal of the parents in such situations is to guide their children and help them develop skills to cope with stress effectively. Avoid making the mistake of over questioning and adding unnecessary pressure on them.

The second and most obvious step towards helping your child deal with stress is to be a good role model. This is because children watch and learn from what their parents do. If you are easily anxious and defeated by issues that take place in your life, those negative feelings may be transmitted down to your children eventually. Instead of becoming upset over every little thing, you should instead teach your children how to properly deal with them. Reflecting on your behavior and actions will actually improve your overall health in the process. Thus, try to encourage everyone in your family to cope will stress well so that your children will be able to develop the necessary skills to do so in a good environment.

Knowing when your child gets stressed is another way of helping him or her cope with feelings. As a parent, you need to build a strong relationship with your child so that you are able to know what his problems are and what methods best suit him. You should also try to find ways to help your child relax more and encourage him or her to take breaks when necessary. This is because children nowadays tend to give themselves so much pressure that even their bodies cannot handle. To help your child get his or her mind away from work or pressure, suggest going for a walk or playing light games. This keeps him distracted from work and instead replaces stress with lots of fun and enjoyment. Although simple, most parents do not realize how effective this method is for helping their children deal with their feelings and stress.

To know more about your child, make sure that you communicate with him everyday. At night, before heading off to bed, ask your child what they did during the day and what their feelings were. Share with them advice on how their behaviors could be improved and commend them for good work done.

These 3 ways of helping children cope with stress and deal with feelings are essential for parents to know, so that they will be able to help their children develop skills in handling stressful situations in the future.<bio>Ian Spencer is an expert in solving anxiety and stress problems at http://www.What-Is-Stress.org .
Stress - Physically and emotionally our bodies change to adapt to our surrounding environment. These changes may not always be positive and result in health problems such as headaches, upset stomach, rashes, insomnia, ulcers, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

Adjusting to stress in a positive way is essential for emotional and physical well being. How we deal with such issues as the death of a loved one, the birth of a child, a job promotion or loss of a job, a new or ending relationship will be very important to maintain health.

No one sets out to make his or her life stressful, so chances are you aren't aware of how you put yourself under stress. No situation creates stress by itself, it is how you think about the situation that makes it stressful... in other words your own perception makes it stressful.

But there are several ways to get your stress in check. Meditation, Yoga, Counseling, Aroma therapy, Medication or herbal supplements. All are effective. But today we want to bring to light home hypnosis. A self hypnosis audio session will guide you through exercises that help you learn how to adapt to stressful situations, resolve existing anxieties, and create new ways of looking at the world.

Self Hypnosis can effectively help you deal appropriately with the stress that causes you anxiety. A heightened state of focused concentration that helps your mind accept helpful ideas that enable you to adapt to change in a positive way, help you relax and increase your tolerance to frustration during difficult circumstances.

It is important to keep in mind that hypnosis can offer major benefits to some patients with some problems, and it is helpful with many other patients. But it can fail, just like any other clinical method. Your eagerness to succeed is essential. <bio>For more information about stress and anxiety, please visit us at http://www.anxiety-stress-relief.com </bio>

Deeper the well, the cooler the water, Higher the height, the broader the horizon!!

It is very easy to read and understand the stress management techniques. To put them into practice, is the real challenge. You get to know the strength of each cord of the stress!

The stress-free man is a great individual. He is pleasant to deal with. When your mental health is alright, in all probability, your physical health is also bound to be good. When you don't have lines on your forehead, most probably you won't have them on your cheeks as well.

Don't make stress management, a big issue. You have given undue importance to your stress, and therefore, it does have upper hand on you at the moment. Try to deal with your stress in a friendly manner. Think how others coped up with life in similar situations.

If it is an event-related stress, think positively about each part of the event. Decide that you are going to manage each part to its perfection. The whole will be perfect, when the parts are perfect. If you show the slightest latitude in your confidence levels, it will affect your total outlook and make dents in your personality. Do not associate yourself with people that have defeatist outlook of life. Talk to those who inspire! Alternatively, try to give inspiration to those who always complain about life and living! Your pep talks help you to be confident.

Make a listing about the areas in which you wish to improve. Pursue the easier ones first. When you are successful in this area, you will find that the strong points of stress, will lose their strength gradually and you will be able to establish your command over the total situation soon.

Read the life stories of the achievers. They were/are the people who maintained their calm, even under the storm. Study how they did it, how they faced the trials and tribulations to emerge out victorious. Begin to apply those principles in your life as well.

Broaden your outlook. Don't worry over trifles.

Working hard, does not mean straining yourself too much. Your body is an equipment. Your mind is a unique mechanism, which maintains its existence, through the criss cross currents of thoughts. They also need proper rest every day, to get themselves recharged. It is possible for you to burst through the stress barrier, provided you equip yourself properly. <bio>http://www.aboutstressmanagement.com/stressrelief/ andamp; Stress Management provides detailed information on stress management, ways to manage stress, stress management tips and more. </bio>

Stress can be much more harmful to people with ADD. Because stress increases the level of distractibility in non-ADD people, imagine what it does to us! Avoid stress when you can, but there will be times when stress just happens.

Forces outside our bodies that weigh on us, cause us to become stressed. In the U. S., many of us get up, rush through breakfast, and run through intense, life-threatening traffic to get to a job that we don't enjoy. How sad. We put ourselves under enormous stress, even before the day begins! ADD people feel this stress much more because we already have to deal with the symptoms of ADD. Pile on some nasty stress and let it go on for a long period of time, and we're talking physical problems. Who needs that?

There are some simple ways to avoid stress. But let's classify it first. Stress comes in three ways--fleeting stress, life-altering stress, and ongoing stress from ongoing problems. The first kind of stress doesn't last. It comes from simple irritations like losing your keys or breaking your glasses. These stresses happen, you get over them, and you move on.

But life-altering stress is difficult for a little longer. It comes from major life changes, like having a baby, buying a house, or getting married. Though these are positive stresses, they're still hard to deal with for a while. Negative stresses, like divorce, death of a loved one, or losing a job last even longer and are harder on your body. But the worst kind of stress is the ongoing type, as when you're in a bad job situation or in a marriage that's not working. Stresses like these can have a big impact on your health.

So, you need to control the stresses that can be controlled. Like, if you detest watching violent movies and your significant other just loves them, instead of fighting over the television, go into another room and read a book or watch something else. You don't have to live by someone else's idea of entertainment, and you don't have to argue about it, either. And be sure that you don't compound your stresses. If you're having a baby, don't get a new puppy. Taking care of a pup is very stressful in itself, but add a new baby to the mix, and you've got all the stress you need. Don't do things like that to yourself.

One stress management technique that might be difficult for someone with ADD is doing one thing at a time. To help you plan your day, try Mark Joyner's Simpleology athttp://www.simpleology.com, a place where you can learn to plan your time and create a daily schedule. If your ADD attention span is just too short for that, decide what your attention span is and then, plan your day around doing things for 10 or 20 minutes at a time. Rotate your tasks and stay focused. You'll reduce your stress level because in that way, things will get done. You won't have all this guilt because you couldn't complete a project.

Stress is just unavoidable. You're going to have a certain level of stress no matter what, so when you can control stress, don't hesitate to do it! If a bad relationship is stressing you out, end it! Long-term stresses like that can be very, very harmful to your well-being. Control every stress you can, and you'll find that you have a much happier life. <bio>Tellman Knudson is a certified hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner, who has helped many of his clients to cope with the symptoms of ADD.
Stress is a feeling that's created when we react to particular events. It's the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing to meet a tough situation with focus, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness.

The events that provoke stress are called stressors, and they cover a whole range of situations - everything from outright physical danger to making a class presentation or taking a semester's worth of your toughest subject.

Stress and the way we think Particularly in normal working life, much of our stress is subtle and occurs without obvious threat to survival. Most comes from things like work overload, conflicting priorities, inconsistent values, over-challenging deadlines, conflict with co-workers, unpleasant environments and so on. Not only do these reduce our performance as we divert mental effort into handling them, they can also cause a great deal of unhappiness.

What is the effect of acute stress? The best way to envision the effect of acute stress is to imagine oneself in a primitive situation, such as being chased by a bear.

The Brain's Response to Acute Stress In response to seeing the bear, a part of the brain called the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) system is activated.

Release of Steroid Hormones. The HPA systems trigger the production and release of steroid hormones ( glucocorticoids), including the primary stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol is very important in marshaling systems throughout the body (including the heart, lungs, circulation, metabolism, immune systems, and skin) to deal quickly with the bear.

Release of Catecholamines. The HPA system also releases certain neurotransmitters (chemical messengers) called catecholamines, particularly those known as known as dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine (also called adrenaline).

What is a Stress Ball? What if we told you that it's possible to work out and relieve stress at the same time? And that it's easy, requires little concentration and won't cause you to break a sweat? Or that by consistently using this hand-held object, you will notice an increase in strength?

Well, it is a stress ball! So what are you waiting for? Get yourself a stress ball today! <bio>Did you know, the Stress Ball is scientifically proven to relieve stress?
We all know that stress is not good for the body or for the soul. If you have Crohn's disease however, you may find that stress is making you feel worse. Remaining calm is not easy, and is not possible all of the time, but a patient with troubling symptoms might want to try to relax more often to see if this helps them feel better. There are many different Crohns relaxation techniques a person can try, and they are not that far removed from how any person would deal with stress. Controlled stress, good diet, and the right medications can make all the difference.

Though it is a common idea that stress somehow causes Crohn's disease, there is no evidence that points in that direction. If you have Crohn's or Colitis, your doctor has probably already told you that the cause for both conditions is not known. If someone in your family has it, you may have inherited it by means of genetics, but that is not always the case.

Living with stress can make symptoms worse for some people however, and that is why stress management is so important. High levels of stress might cause a flare up of symptoms, and that in turn can lead to feelings of depression. That is the last thing a patient should have to deal with when they have this condition, a major cause of stress in itself.

There have been studies done to determine if stress makes symptoms worse, but the results are mixed. There are some that swear that stresses in their lives make the pain worse, and that learning how to relax has helped with this problem. A person with Crohn's who is under a great deal of stress must learn how to avoid those things that bring them worry. This is not totally possible, but there are some things a person can do. Heavy responsibilities can be shared, or can be passed off to someone else. That alone can make a huge difference.

One of the biggest stresses can come from knowing that you have Crohn's. You are going to feel a lot of frustration, anger and embarrassment as you learn to live with your condition, but there are some steps you can take to make it easier.

When you receive your diagnosis, you should learn all you can about what is going on with your body. Understanding what is going on is going to reduce your stress levels. Also, remember to talk to your doctor whenever you need to do so, and look for all of the information you need to help you understand what is going on. The more you know about your condition and what to expect, the less stress you will have to deal with every day.

One great way to reduce stress is to try something like Yoga. This helps anyone relax, and you may find that the breathing techniques can help at almost any time if you begin to feel overwhelmed. You may find tips for Crohns relaxation through support groups. You can share your story, hear the stories of others, and keep up-to-date with the latest research and information. Though managing stress will not cure your case of Crohn's disease, it can help you manage your symptoms. If you are living with this day in and day out, you may agree that every little bit helps. <bio>By Sharon Dobson.
There are very few things in life like parenting, and very few things in life that lead to such incredible stress.

It seems stress and parenting all too often go hand in hand. But with a little forethought and planning, this doesn't have to be the case.

Yes, raising children takes more patience than almost any thing else you will ever encounter in life, but there is no reason that it should be the thing that drives you completely batty! Yes, it is challenging and can at times cause you to wonder how you are going to manage but stress and parenting do not have to be tied at the hip.

Stress is a mental and physical condition that occurs when you try to deal with the issues that must be dealt with and yet you feel incapable of doing so.

It almost describes parenting to a tee! There are many situations that you will encounter as a parent that you know you must undertake and press through, but ones in which you really believe you are truly incapable of doing so in the long term.

Parenting requires long term planning and a long tem commitment to the process. Yes, there are many parental goals that leave you facing a long and time consuming path, but there is simply no need to feel completely overwhelmed and paralyzed by the challenge of parenting.

There are so many resources available to you as a parent that as you work towards learning to be a better parent you can also learn to deal with those stressful situations.

As a parent it is very important that you are a realist. There are going to be plenty of times that you simply do not meet the goal that you want for yourself or your child. This is of course true in life as it is with parenting.

Take a deep breath and think about it=85there are really only a very few "absolutes" or even "mandatory requirements" in parenting. This should help you to be able to sleep a bit easier tonight.

Ok, for example, educating your children is mandatory and terribly difficult. But there is not just one school that can provide the education for your child. There are lots of different options for education.

But when you are trying to make a decision about education, which is mandatory, there is no reason to have a melt down over it. Just make a decision, a well educated and well thought out decision.

Making decisions for your children should not lead to stress. While you must take these choices seriously, it you allow the stress to brew, you can experience helplessness, hopelessness, chronic worry, irritability, and even insomnia.

There are very few parenting dilemmas which are as potentially stress-inducing as a child who simply will not listen to you, especially when their behavior is unruly, irritating or even violent. But again, in this situation, as in many others, there are rarely any quick fixes.

But, if you take the time to see the challenge for what it is and learn to deal with the situation before it becomes a stressful situation then you and your family will be better adjusted in the long run. Minimizing stress is a worthwhile goal for which you should strive.

Remember even thought stress and parenting all too often seem to go hand in hand, it just is not necessary. Chronic stress is unhealthy. Make a decision to do something different to manage the stress of parenting.

Search for alternatives and solutions before you decide you have no other choice but to have a stress related meltdown.

Stress and parenting can be a thing of the past if you elect to deal with being a parent in a more constructive method. <bio>For more important health and wellness information be sure to visit http://www.0-stress.com where we provide for you a variety of health related topics.
