Germany has a rich cultural heritage. Before the late 19th century, Germany was a collection of individual fiefdoms and regions. This history is reflected in the country's cultural diversity.

Why Should I Learn About German Culture?

The reasons for learning about German culture and German life are the same as for learning the culture of any language group. Learning German language and culture is useful to:

* broaden personal knowledge * make yourself more marketable at work by speaking a foreign language * increase career prospects * help you get around when on holiday.

What About Business?

Learning about German culture is also essential for those who travel to Germany on business. There are many courses designed to help business people learn cultural customs and language relating doing business in Germany. These courses cover areas such as:

* meetings * negotiations and deals * telephone conversations * making presentations * travel vocabulary * money and banking * the business environment

How Can I Learn About German Culture?

One of the best ways to learn about German culture is to travel in Germany. Travel is a good way of learning about the cultural traditions of cities as diverse as Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin and many others. These cities showcase aspects of German culture such as museums, beer, wine and food festivals, theatre and music, and so on.

Another useful way of learning about German culture is to study in Germany. Study in Germany allows students to appreciate German culture from the inside. Not only will people learn the German language from native speakers, but they will have the chance to share social and cultural events with native speakers of German. This is an excellent method of learning about German culture and language.

What Do Courses In German Culture Cover?

Courses in German culture will cover areas such as history, geography, music, dance, literature and the arts in general. Other aspects of German culture include food and drink. Studying German culture is a key aspect of learning German, as language and culture go hand in hand.

Other Options For Learning German Culture

Another way of learning about German culture is to take part in an exchange program. This has the benefit of immersing the learner in the German language in a home setting. This makes it easy to learn everyday language for daily communication and provides an inside view of German culture. Exchange programs can range from a few weeks to nearly a year. Some students taking German in other countries find this a useful addition to their language courses. Those students may choose to teach their native language in return for the chance to live in and travel through Germany.

Once you have learned about German language and culture, you'll be ready to travel not just in Germany but in countries such as Austria, Switzerland, and parts of the US and South America where German is still spoken. <bio>Sam Vogel writes about German language http://www.albasprachinstitut.com and http://www.germany-destination.com German culture. </bio>

Who said learning the French language has to be boring? If you have not noticed yet, there had been so many movies and animated films which were made under the influence of French culture. These films have remained to be our favorites. Kids who grew up watching it over and again never forget what the story is all about and most importantly, the fun characters that made the story very believable.

Just to name one, the Disney Feature Animation have made several cartoon animations that show the French culture and speaks the French language. For instance, an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast was such a great hit back in 1991 and even up to now, we still remember Lumiere, the talented candlestick singing and dancing to the song "Be our guest" with French words such as cherie, Soup du jour, Hot hors d'oeuvres and many others.

To simply put it, you can learn French in any way possible. There is really no such thing as learning it with difficulty or boredom. Probably, you will experience few disappointments at first but as long as you stick to how you should be having fun while learning the language, you will soon realize that it's not all about how you accomplish the tasks; and when you start to enjoy, its hardly considered a task any longer.

And do not laugh at this idea. You may think that it's a very childish approach to how you should learn the French language which is actually a very special language. Think of how children are able to learn a second language. Though, children do have their very own skills in adopting a second language, learning the way they learn is a good approach.

It's easy to remember French words the way they are presented in a children's book or cartoon because the words are always presented with a story or pictures. And because this is the type of approach that children are used to, they learn how to remember French words; when and where it should be used by retaining the pictures or scenes that are associated with the words. Try this and see how well you are going to enjoy learning this way. <bio>Shareen Aguilar is a writer for Learn French http://www.learn-french-program.com which has Memory Improvement Books and Memory Game Software for better French language memorization. </bio>

The Russian language is the most commonly spoken language in Europe. It is a Slavic language whose roots can be traced to Sanskrit, Greek, and Latin. Though not as internationally prominent as its days as the official language of the former Soviet Union, it is still the official language of such countries as Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Russian is a language of dignity, but can seem intimidating to learn. If you have considered learning a second language, the Russian language will prove to be a challenging yet rewarding achievement.

As a student of the Russian language, you have several alternatives by which you can learn it. If you choose to study Russian at the college level, and receive your degree in it, you will acquire an expertise in the language that can provide you with several career opportunities. With a degree in Russian, one career option for you is as a foreign language translator. Foreign language translation firms employ people who are fluent in many different languages, including Russian. Coupled with knowledge in another field (such as law or medicine), you would have the opportunity to work to bridge the gap between English-speaking and Russian-speaking business contacts by translating websites and documents for them. Another career opportunity would be as a teacher of English as a second language in a Russian-speaking country. After receiving your teaching certification, you could work for a language school in Russia teaching students how to speak, read, and write English. With a solid knowledge of Russian, you would be able to work and live alongside native Russian speakers with ease.

If you are interested in learning the Russian language for travel purposes, you can opt to enroll in an accelerated course online. You can learn basic Russian at your own pace, and you will feel more comfortable when you travel to Russian speaking countries if you know how to communicate you basic needs (such as asking for directions) to Russian residents. If you have the time and the financial resources, another option is to learn the Russian language by enrolling in an immersion program in Russia. An immersion program lasts anywhere from two to six weeks. By doing this, you will not only learn the Russian language, but you will also experience the Russian way of life. You will become part of the life and culture, and you will learn the language quickly, despite your uncertainties. Through intensive group and individual training, you will learn the conversational and colloquial styles of Russian. You will interact on a daily basis with people who are native speakers of the Russian language, and you will have no choice but to communicate with them in their native tongue. You will be captivated by the everyday life of Moscow or St. Petersburg. You will grow to understand and appreciate the Russian culture: the history, the art, the culture (the ballet!), the architecture, the food, and the people. You will attend courses in which you will learn the Russian alphabet, and learn how to read and write in Russian as well. Learning the Russian language in an immersion program is an exciting way to broaden you horizons and vacation all at the same time.

By learning to speak, read, and write the Russian language, you have the potential to one day embark on a career as a foreign language translator, providing an invaluable service to global corporations. You can live abroad and teach English to Russian students, while experiencing a new culture. Learning Russian will make you a more sophisticated traveler as well. You will be able to show more appreciation, and enjoy the Russian culture more when you can communicate with the residents. By learning the Russian language, you have the knowledge of another language, another history, another culture, and your scope of the world will be broadened just a little bit more. <bio>John is a director of numerous Internet companies and is a published author.
Online Learning is Fun

Remember this the next time you are on line at the bank or the grocery store doctors office waiting at a red light etc. There is one Hawaiian Island, Ni'ihau, where the Hawaiian language is still predominantly spoken. Many businesses will contribute to or pay for an employees training or education.

Why learn foreign languages? Why would anyone want to learn someone else's language? Obviously there are a lot of reasons and if the question is on your mind then you probably have a desire or need to learn a language yourself. Though language can create a sense of unity among individual cultures a worldwide monoglot culture would inevitably be biased limiting cultural diversity and obscuring a true view of much of the relevant ideology of different cultures existent throughout the world.

Language is continuously adapting to cultural change. Within every culture issues and basic ways of life are forever altering influencing language alteration along with it. There is one Hawaiian Island, Ni'ihau, where the Hawaiian language is still predominantly spoken. This island is privately owned, and tourism there is rejected in favor of a traditional way of life for its inhabitants. . When a British English speaker asks the question: how are you s/he doesn't expect a lengthy reply about the state of the respondent's health. If an American says 'let's get together some time' s/he may be saying no more than 'goodbye' . But today scientists ask the question who the Celts really are. See http://www.learnforeignlanguage.us/learning-foreign-language/index.html

Elementary schools should implement programs to teach their students a foreign language. All in all language schools that provide industry-specific language courses and classes can be a great addition to your generalized language study helping you reach the higher level of proficiency you are looking for. By taking advantage of these courses and all they offer you will definitely reach that level.

You can learn at anywhere you like, in your car while trapped in traffic jam, while waiting for commuter to arrive or fishing at Lake Garden, by means of many types of medium such as cassette, CD and the Internet, for example at Malay Language mypositivemoney where you will find a good resource of foreign language. .
Language learning through your native tongue, such as learning English more fully can be accomplished by the language learning software at Euro Talk which can be found on the web at www.eurotalk.ie. But what about learning a foreign language- should you take the time to do so? The answer to this is an emphatic YES and Euro Talk can be with you every step of the way on the learning path.

The number one reason to learn a foreign language is so that you can communicate with other people who speak the language in question. This can include individuals you meet when you are travelling and also people you meet at home who speak more than one language. Learning to speak another language will make you welcomer when you travel and it shows a tremendous respect for a different culture than your own. People notice and are pleased when you make a concerted effort to speak a local language, even if you only learn a few words such as hello, goodbye, please and thank you.

Cultural understandings are bridged when a person takes on the endeavour of learning to speak a new language. Learning a new language opens up new avenues and new ideas and provides a broader way of viewing the world. There are many cultural and linguistic differences between languages and learning these can make a great deal of difference to ones life. Be aware as well that learning to speak another language also means that you can enjoy music, film and literature in the language and do not require it to be translated. Rarely is a translation an exact replica of what was originally spoken, sung or written.

Learning a foreign language will increase your options when it comes to your chosen career. A great number of schools as well as plenty of employers have a preference for those who are able to speak more than one language. While English is a language that is spoken widely throughout the world, it would do you well to learn French for example if you will be doing business in France at all or if you will be working with French clients.

Learning another language can also play a role in helping you learn more about your own. You can enhance your ability to know as much as possible about the English language by learning another language, such as French or Spanish. Check out www.eurotalk.ie to get you started on the language-learning path.

http://french.about.com/od/francophonie/a/whylearnfrench.htm <bio>You can reach Richard Pringle at http://www.eurotalk.ie </bio>

If you enjoy traveling to Spain, and would like to learn how to better communicate with the native residents, it might make sense to learn Spanish.

You might be able to speak "traveler's Spanish" from a book of Spanish phrases, but if you travel there often, or are moving there, learning the language will definitely help you in your everyday activities. As you become more familiar with the language, you'll be encouraged to make friends and perhaps participate in local community and social activities.

Ways to Learn the Language

With a little research, you'll find that there are a wide variety of options for learning Spanish. You can find private lessons, which are generally the most expensive choice, but they can be great if you desire a one-on-one learning experience. You might also consider a language school. These are good if you thrive on the structure of classroom-style learning. Another choice is self-study, but this is for the most disciplined learner, one that will be driven and motivated to complete the lessons on his or her own.

If you're moving to Spain, the government may be able to direct you to organizations that teach the language. Sometimes, these classes are free. You might also consider checking the classified section of the local paper, or the internet, for a language exchange. This is a free way to learn the language. Whether you learn individually or in a group, it's a more informal way of learning, taught through casual conversation rather than a structured lesson plan. And as you get more advanced, you'll find this to be a great way to make friends, and use your skills in a social setting.

For Advanced Speakers

For those that have mastered the basics of Spanish, advanced learning is the next step. A great way to better understand the language is to talk to locals. Whether you're in Madrid or Alicante, make friends in Spain that you'll be able to practice on. Talk to the locals when you go about your daily business. Most people will be happy that you're trying to speak the local language, and will be patient and helpful.

Another way to hone your skills is by reading Spanish publications. A magazine such as Puerta del Sol can provide you an opportunity to better learn the language while learning about the Spanish culture.

Learning the language will help you better interact with other Spanish speakers in Spain, and will provide a great way to learn more about the culture and lifestyle of the residents. <bio>Clinton Maxwell writes primarily for http://www.alicante-spain.com , an internet site about Spain and spanish culture.
The Italian language is among the Romance languages that is popularly studied and spoken by many other speakers. Regardless of the native language of a person, learning how to study Italian is always the first, second or third choice in language learning. This is because there are already many Italian speakers in mainland US and apart from that, the Italian culture has clashed with that of the US just fine. Eating spaghetti is an Italian custom, so while you're at it, why not complete what you need to know about the Italian language itself.

Though we notice Italian speakers conversing in their native language in a fast pace, it doesn't mean you have to do the same in each of your Italian exercises. It's not a problem though, in terms of pronouncing Italian words since each syllable (similar to the Spanish language) is pronounced just as how they appear. Any beginner can learn this part of the Italian language well. But there is a trick. Most newbies usually consider speaking very fast since the native Italians that they hear in a normal conversation has this trait. Don't be fooled any further, emphasize your consonants and vowels on every Italian word you use if you want to be understood.

Italian food is scattered everywhere and are popular in the American market. If you get the chance, try to read Italian ingredients, produce and beverages just as how an Italian native would read it. Read it out loud, as if you are teaching yourself the best way to pronounce it. You will realize that this activity, if done more so often, makes you comfortable in speaking the Italian language in public. When the right time comes, when you are all prep up in speaking Italian with Italian speakers regardless you are in your own country or in mainland Italy, you know that you are prepared and up for the exciting experience. <bio>Shareen Aguilar is a writer for Learn Italian http://www.learn-italian-program.com which has Memory Improvement Books and Memory Game Software for better Italian language memorization. </bio>

What A German Language School Can Do For You

German is not always the first choice for people looking to learn a foreign language. But maybe it should be. German is spoken by more than 100 million people in 38 countries around the world. Most of the world's German speakers are in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but there are also significant numbers of German speakers in the United States and South America. That's a lot of German speakers, and a lot of reasons to learn German. Here are five reasons to consider attending a German language school.

1. Learn German For Business Germany is the third largest industrial nation in the world and a major exporter. Learning German will help business people to improve their prospects of doing business in German-speaking countries. And while it may be true that many Germans speak English as well as, if not better than, many native English speakers, those who learn German will have the advantage of understanding what is said in its original context. Many German language schools offer classes specifically designed to help business people learn German. These include classes dealing with speaking on the telephone, negotiations and presentations. 2. Learn German For Travel In addition to the three major European countries where German is a native language, German is a second language for many countries across Eastern Europe. Those planning to travel in Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia or Kazakhstan may find it useful to learn German to communicate in those regions. There are many websites that offer free language lessons to help travelers learn basic German phrases. However, for a more intensive course, travelers could learn German in Berlin or another part of Germany.

3. Learn German For Tourism With three major language centers and many other German-speaking regions, German is a key language for those seeking to work in the tourist industry. Some German language schools offer courses aimed at professionals in different industries which will also help those in the tourist trade. This is key not just for those planning to work within Germany, but for those planning to work with the millions of German-speaking tourists who travel the globe each year.

4. Learn About German Culture German culture is more than beer and lederhosen. Germany has a rich cultural heritage. Many great thinkers, such as Freud and Einstein, were German. Many of the most respected classical composers came from Germany. There is a lot to do in Germany, from exploring towns with a centuries-old history to seeing the wonders of modern engineering technology. Those who study in Germany will find that this gives an inside view of many aspects of German culture.

Where Should I Learn German? Although there are plenty of German classes available in most countries, a good option is to study in Germany at a German language school. This means that students will learn by immersion, hearing German spoken both inside and outside the classroom. This is a good way to learn German fast and correctly. There are German language schools around the country. One option is to study in Berlin. Not only does Berlin have many universities and educational institutions, but it also has a rich cultural history and many sights to see. This makes study in Berlin a good option for learning German. <bio>Sam Vogel writes about German language http://www.albasprachinstitut.com and http://www.germany-destination.com German culture. </bio>

Learning Italian at home, listening to audio lessons on the way to the office using the CD player in the car or reading a book all about Italian are different examples of how one person can learn another language without getting formal lessons from any teacher or language professor.

If you are an interested learner, disregard your age or status in life; if you want to learn something out of pure interest and curiosity, you will reap your own rewards in the end. Also, it doesn't matter if you have the most expensive language learning software or if you just read on available online resources and old books from the library, the important thing is that you keep on learning no matter what it takes.

The Italian language has a different accent compared to the English language, the Italian accent needed to be followed is also different, but the easy fact about the Italian language is the way each word is pronounce because it only follows the syllables and the way how each word is spelled. What else can help your progress in learning? To apply what you learn and what you are learning in the process in the most natural way possible is the answer.

Don't expect to speak in perfect grammar. That is just too impossible. What you need to concentrate on instead is how much vocabulary you know about the language. You will for sure, commit mistakes and several attempts to talk to a native Italian speaker perfectly is going to be a failure, but that's okay. You are a student and you're meant to commit mistakes. No big deal.

The big event will come when you have been studying much about the Italian language and its culture. Exposing yourself to Italian movies, shows, music and history will be a great help to your fluency of the Italian language. You'll learn the accent, you'll acquire the most natural conversation, and most importantly, you'll learn how it really feels to talk in fluent Italian. But until then, you will need to work hard on many aspects and not giving up is another. <bio>Shareen Aguilar is a writer for http://learn-italian-program.com which has Memory Improvement Books and Memory Game Software for better Italian language memorization. </bio>

Quite possibly the most fun and effective way to learn a new language is to completely immerse yourself in the native culture of the language that you are trying to learn. This way you would have first hand experience with the people who regularly speak the language and get to see and feel all of the little nuances that are important to truly becoming fluent in a second language. Constant exposure to a language spoken by natives as you are trying to learn can really help with the learning process, giving you a great feel not only for the words of the new language, but how to say them in different situations.

Unfortunately, the above mentioned scenario isn't an option for very many people. Living and learning abroad can be an incredible expense - almost too much in fact, for the average working person who is looking to learn a second language can afford. But that doesn't mean that you should give up your dream of becoming fluent in more than just your native tongue. Learning a new language can be done from anywhere. All you need is a good instructor, a good program and the dedication to stick to that program.

Fortunately for those that still have the strong desire to expand their mind and increase their knowledge by learning English as a second language - ESL training online is a fantastic and effective alternative to traveling to learn abroad.

For some people to effectively learn a language they need to have one on one attention with the instructor and with ESL online training you'll have just that. You will have an instructor dedicated to one on one communication with you through the entire process of learning English and you'll get all that attention right from the comfort of your own home.

You'll incur no travel expenses and have the opportunity to learn your new and valuable skill in the most comfortable atmosphere in the world to you - your own home. You can set up your learning space however you see fit to suit your own needs while you are immersing yourself in your new language. You'll be able to learn at your own pace, without being held back or bothered by the interruptions of other students who aren't progressing at the same level as you are. There will be an atmosphere with no games or hold ups. It will just be you, your instructor and your lessons, ensuring that you get the most knowledge possible each and every time you sit down to learn.

There is no doubt that learning a new language will have many, many benefits for you and for your career; and there is little doubt that the single most valuable and useful language to take on as a second is English. Learning English can make new opportunities available to you at your current job or open the door to you with a bigger and better company and it can dramatically increase your opportunity to learn other things by giving you access to all of the incredible resources out there that are only available to those that can read and understand English. If you happen to be one of the very few that are lucky enough or wealthy enough to have the opportunity to learn it while staying where it's spoken by all fluently than don't hesitate to do so, but if you can't, that should be no reason to stop your dream of speaking English as your second language - ESL online training is readily available and nearly as good as immersing yourself directly in the culture.<bio>Learn English at our online English school. One of the most convenient ways is learning Spanish online. There are several method options available, and many online programs allow you to learn without ever leaving your home. The money spent and time invested will be well worth it. Speaking Spanish can also give you an advantage in the job market since often prospective employers are, often, especially interested in bilingual employees to help communicate with the Spanish speaking clients and customers.

There are many websites offering at home Spanish courses. Some are even free, though the websites charging a fee usually have more resources and a more thorough program to help you learn the language faster. But, there is no harm in trying a free site at first. You can always find an alternative online course f you do not feel you are learning at a good pace.

The largest organization for teaching the Spanish language is the Instituto Cervantes. It is a public instituted that was started in Spain in 1991, but it is now on four continents. The organization aims to promote the teaching of the Spanish language as well as the Spanish culture throughout the world. The courses offered cover vocabulary, grammar, phonics and spelling as well as the Spanish culture, diversity among those Spanish speaking countries and socio-cultural issues. The program at the Instituto Cervantes is a great way to learn the Spanish language.

Online is a good way to learn the basics of the Spanish language, but immersing yourself in the language is the best way to become fluent. By traveling to a Spanish speaking country, you can not only practice speaking and understanding the language but you can also experience the culture, food, traditions and history of the area. There are language immersion programs available throughout the world. Many programs are available in cities such as Madrid or Barcelona in Spain, though programs are available in many Spanish speaking countries around the world.

Language immersion programs require that you live in that country for a pre-designated period of time. The courses are offered in groups or one-on-one instruction and often include afternoon and evening activities outside of the classroom. You will have time to travel on your own which helps you gain confidence in your speaking skills by interacting with Spanish speaking people in the market, stores or restaurants. Choices for accommodations vary from staying with a host family to sharing an apartment with another student. There are benefits to both. A host family enables you to interact and experience the culture continually, while sharing an apartment gives you the opportunity to study with another student. <bio>Peter J.
For the last few years I have been absolutely fascinated with everything Greek. It all started when I was given the privilege of moving to Greece to cover the Olympic Games for the magazine I am on staff with. The year I spent in Greece before, during and after the games was one of the best years of my life. As soon as I was assigned to the project, I began researching everything Greek I could think of. I wanted to enter that nation and their culture with at least a little bit of knowledge and understanding to relate.

One of the first steps I took was to enroll in an introductory Greek class at a local university. I knew I had about a year until I would actually leave for Greece, so I wanted to get even a start on learning the language. I spent two evenings per week learning the basics of the modern Greek language. Even though I had studied ancient Greek in college, there was much more to be learned than I could have imagined. I am so thankful that I started learning Greek when I did. I cannot imagine having moved to that country without the basic language skills I had gained.

Another part of Greek culture that has always fascinated me is the history and the mythology. I spent a lot of time at the library before heading to Greece reading any book that I could find on Greek culture, history or mythology. I wanted to have the fullest possible understanding of the people I would be living among and working with during the Olympics. And I love libraries, so I guess that was part of my motivation as well.

If you are anything like me, than one part of any culture that you must learn to appreciate is the food. I visited every Greek restaurant that I could find before I went to Greece. I wanted to be familiar with the basic Greek dishes so that I wouldn't be at a loss when I sat in restaurants in Greece. I even picked up an "Everything Greek" cookbook and learned how to make a few dishes on my own.

I loved living in Greece and immersing myself in everything Greek more than I loved preparing for my move.
Learning Japanese with audio is without doubt the fastest and most efficient way to get started. If you are lucky enough to have some Japanese friends who can help then you are already ahead of the game. In most cases people will look to evening classes at their local college or on the internet for online basic Japanese lessons.

Of course the best way to learn any language is in the country itself. This has obvious advantages but for most of us this is not possible and we have to choose more practical methods of how to learn Japanese.

The more you learn about Japan and its people you quickly realize that they are the masters of efficiency. You would do well to model them in this respect and apply their meticulous methodology to some research which will allow you to begin your adventure in Japanese language study in a way that lends itself to providing maximum returns for the time that you invest in studying.

Ok so we might all admire the Japanese mindset but just don't have the time or resources to spend on the research, lucky I have done it for you then!

Why study Japanese?

There are many advantages to learning any new language, in this case the growing importance of Japan in the global markets could mean that having some knowledge of Japanese culture and language may give you an edge if you are employed in such areas as tourism, journalism, technology and many other areas of employment.

Of course it would be remiss of me not to mention how incredibly beautiful Japan is itself and how truly fascinating their culture is. Learning how to speak Japanese with a view to visiting the country at some point is in my view enough of a motivating factor and reward in itself.

Although it may seem a daunting prospect if you plan your strategy in advance and put some regular time aside for studying, learning Japanese with audio is achievable. I recently came across a young man whilst researching the subject who's learn to speak Japanese tips included,"learning Japanese on his palm pilot".

Having spent a lot of time in the forums and researching the best way to learn Japanese I have come up with the following conclusions.

Learning about the language and culture is best done in Japan itself. If at all possible enlist the help of some Japanese friends. If using Japanese MP3 downloads or inexpensive language CDs, ensure that they come from only the very best sources like the ones offered for sale by Dr Paul Pimsleur, Dr Robert Blair and the publishing house Harper Collins. All have proven track records for learning Japanese online with audio.

Whether your motivation is personal or professional you can be assured that this adventure that you are about to embark on will be truly rewarding. Many scholars have spent their whole lives immersed in the beauty of this language, its people and its culture. You could do a lot worse than choosing to invest some of your precious time in learning Japanese with audio.

Ok it's probably predictable to say Sayonara (Sa-yo-na-ra). (goodbye)but I'll add a little as I hate being predicatable

Saying goodbye to a close friend (informal) is said like this "Ja-ne" (pronounced) jar-neigh!

Have fun learning the Japanese language, Ja-ne! <bio>Check out http://www.simplylistenaudiobooks.com/Learning%20Japanese%20With%20Audio.ht= ml learning Japanese with audio and where to find the very best in Learn Japanese MP3s. </bio>

One of the best ways to experience a Spanish speaking country is to be able to understand what is being said around you. So, why not learn Spanish? It's not as difficult as it may sound. You can actually learn to speak Spanish from the comfort of you own home with your personal computer as your teacher. Luckily, there are a number of online programs that will teach you what you need to know to communicate once you get to Spain.

In addition to getting a better feel for the Spanish culture by speaking the language, there are other benefits of leaning the language as well. Once you return home from your trip, being able to be bilingual is very coveted by employers and may open up a whole world of new jobs to you.

Learning Spanish Online

The biggest benefit of learning Spanish online is that you can gear the course to your speed. You do not have to worry about keeping up with the class, you can do as much or as little as you want each time you sit down to learn. When you get on the internet and conduct a search you will notice there are a number of websites that offer Spanish courses from home. Some are free; others will charge you for the classes. Generally, those that charge do have more to offer and a more comprehensive learning program.

The largest worldwide Spanish instruction organization is the Instituto Cervantes. The whole goal of the organization is to promote Spanish culture and the teaching of Spanish worldwide. It was founded in 1991 as a public institution in Spain. Now it is spreading out and is in four continents.

These courses are very detailed. They do teach all the areas necessary for speaking Spanish such as the spelling, grammar, vocabulary and phonetics. But, they also teach the importance of Spanish culture, and about socio cultural issues.

Once You've Completed Learning Spanish Online

While taking courses is a good way to learn the language, the best way to know you are ready to use it and to become more fluent is to immerse your self in a situation where you must speak Spanish and see how well you do. Traveling to a Spanish speaking country is a good way to be surrounded by the culture and traditions as well as be surrounded by the language.

There are also programs called language immersion programs in Madrid, Seville and Barcelona. These are considered the by-far fastest way to learn the language and become fluent.

The immersion classes are geared towards smaller groups of students with a number of activities where you must use Spanish and only speak Spanish. In addition to classroom time there are many times you will be out in the public and interact with people, honing your skills.

When it comes to accommodations you may be put in an apartment with another student, or be hosted by a local family which will be a great opportunity to learn the culture of the country first-hand. <bio>Focusing recent findings in Spain, Johnathan Bakers is writing almost entirely for http://www.alicante-spain.com .
Hola. Adios.

These may be very familiar words to anyone in the world. Yes, it is Spanish and everyone knows a little of this language. Like any other language, Spanish has a very rich history.

Let's Talk About Spanish

Spanish is one of the major languages of the world. It is spoken by millions of people not only in Spain but in the rest of the world. If people will ask you about the Castilian language, will you know the difference? Castilian is actually the official tongue of the Spanish language. A deeper probe of Spanish will reveal its intricacies and variations depending on the region where it is being used.

Other frequently used Spanish languages are the Basque, Catalan, and the Galician. It will be a misconception to call these as dialects. They are recognized languages under the umbrella of Spanish but reflect distinction and division of the Spanish culture.

When we talk of the Spanish language, we are talking of one of the most romantic languages in the world. You might be thinking of galleons, conquistadores, and the beautiful people. The Spanish language is a language which traces its roots in Latin and shares similarities in terms of structure with other European languages.

The Evolution of the Spanish Language

Aside from traces of Latin, the Spanish language is also said to have developed during the rule of the Roman Empire. Spanish had its beginnings around 2000 years ago and had its early formation in the Iberian Peninsula. Today, it is estimated that 300 million people around the world use Spanish as their native language. It has evolved primarily due to the conquests made by Spain in a lot of countries and somehow, their language was influenced by the words of those they conquered.

The variations of the Spanish language are therefore seen not only in the boundaries of Spain. It is evident in countries like Mexico, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Honduras, and many more.

English also invaded Spanish like other languages. Now it is common to see words like bus stop, click, or marketing in Spanish speaking countries. This is fondly called Spanglish.

There are campaigns to protect the language and retain its purity. The truth is that Spanish like any other language is a mix of different influences. This fusion of different roots and evolution is inevitable with the available technologies which make communication a lot easier.

Learning Spanish

If you want to learn Spanish beyond the fiesta, tapa, siesta, burrito, or tequila, there are a lot of ways to do so. You can browse the internet and learn from websites the offer foreign languages. Some of these sites offer these courses for free and some charges minimal fees. They have a lot of available media which can make learning fun and easier.

You can start to immerse yourself in Spanish by listening to audio CD's or watch films, television and read books in Spanish. You can also try to incorporate some Spanish phrases in your day to day living.

Ultimately, you can visit Spain and experience first hand how the language really sounds. Explore their culture, arts, history, and their day to day living. Through this experience you will have a deeper perspective and understanding of the Spanish language.<bio>The language machine is a leading company providing private language tuition across the UK such as Spanish and French Tuition.</bio>

Italian is a very passionate sounding language. It is considered as one of the most romantic languages in the whole world. It has certain qualities that make it so flowery and makes people who speak it very animated. This is one reason why it is always linked with feelings of love and romance.

Love is in the Italian Air

You might be wondering what made Italian a language of love. Let us trace some reasons behind this claim:

The primary reason behind this is the Italian culture. The country has a very colorful history which may condition our thinking that indeed it is a romantic language.

The culture of love is in the air. You can smell Italian passion and visualize romantic imagery all over. Look at the devotion to great architectures and artworks that can be traced back to the olden times. The works of the great Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael display the passion of the Italian soul. The details of the David, La Giocanda, The Pieta, and the Monalisa say it all.

The connection of the Italian culture to the Catholic faith shows the purity of love as seen in Jesus, Virgin Mary, and all the other saints depicted in sculptures and paintings. The architecture of the different churches and basilicas all over Italy also makes the language synonymous to love.

Have you seen an opera? It is an Italian contribution which also conveys a lot of love and passion. The notes of the opera bring the audience to a different level of appreciation. They do experience pure emotion and sensation while listening to the performance.

The biggest reason, among all reasons, why Italian is a language of love is the country itself. Italy is a very wonderful place. The atmosphere is really romantic with views of rustic sceneries, the sea, the hills, the country side--everything spells love. Whether they know Italian or not, a lot of honeymooners pack their bags and go to Italy to spend time together and strengthen their bonds.

Some Basic Facts about the Italian Language

Now that you know that Italian is a lingo of love, it will be better if you know some details about the language, here are some of them:

Italian has a very distinct stress and traces its roots to the dead language of Latin. It uses most of the Latin alphabets in majority of its words. Unlike our usual ABC, the Italian alphabet doesn't have J, K, W, X, and Y. J sounds like I in the Italian words like Bojano (Bo-ya-no), Joppolo(Iopolo), and Jesi(Iesi).

The Italian alphabet today consists of 21 letters. The letters also have their Italian equivalents like gi for j; s,ss, or cs for x; c or ch for k; u or v for w; and i for y.

Accent is also very important when speaking the Italian language. Notice the acute accents you have on the vowel E in perche. Grave accents are also used in A, I, O, and U having the stress on the final vowel of the word like in gioventi (youth)

When reading words like hai, hanno or ha, the H is often silent. Furthermore, the word Zanzara or mosquito is pronounced with z being read as dz or dzan' dzara.

Italian as you can see is beyond pasta, pesto, pizza, and the Ferrari.<bio>The language machine is a leading company providing private language tuition across the UK such as Spanish and French Tuition.</bio>

There is no magic formula to improving your language skills in your native tongue or to learning a new language. You must simply take your time and put in plenty of effort and hard work in order to be successful. It is important to be patient with yourself as well and not to push yourself to work beyond what you are capable of. Rome wasn't built in a day after all and the same is true of language acquisition.

Learning and practice are the two main components to studying language. Work hard with your lessons and then set aside plenty of time to practice what you have learned. Be aware that simply memorizing words and/or phrases is not going to get you where you want to go. Read on for some tips that can help make your study of a new language as efficient as can be.

Taking a class at a language school is an excellent way to learn. Check at your local community college or recreation center to see if classes are taught in other languages. Often there is more than one level to the classes, such as beginner, intermediate and advanced.

Immersing yourself in the language and culture is another way to learn a new language. For example if you want to learn Spanish, spend some time in Spain or better yet, live there for a period of time to acquaint yourself with the ways of the people and the language. In the same way, if you want to learn French then go to France to learn from those who speak the language fluently.

Take online language lessons by way of the Internet. Euro Talk is a website that sells language learning software in over 100 languages and includes step-by-step instruction. Not only are the lessons at Euro Talk (www.eurotalk.ie) informative and educational but they also provide enjoyment to accompany the learning!

If you wish to learn French and your native tongue is English, then let Euro Talk help you see the unique differences between the two languages and from there you can decide what it is you need to concentrate on. Stand with the beginners' section of Euro Talk and work first on basic vocabulary words, as well as grammar, pronunciation and verb lessons.

Another excellent way to learn is to get into the habit of listening to the language you wish to learn on a day-to-day basis. As you acquaint yourself with the language from an aural perspective you will not just learn the words but also the accent and the intonations of how words and sentences are spoken. Listening to music and watching movies in the new language is also highly recommended.

http://french.about.com/cs/beginning1/a/start.htm <bio>You can reach Richard Pringle at </bio>
