A fear of crowds can be awkward to deal with.

Whilst you can be sure that certain places will almost always attract a crowd (big sports matches, crowded commuter routes, that kind of thing), there are other times when a crowd can appear as if from nowhere. It's at times like that where your fear of crowds can really come into its own and disrupt your way of life.

The problem is that our brain learns pretty fast when it wants to. Especially when irrational fears are concerned. And despite what you may think, a fear of crowds isn't the most rational thing to possess. Most crowds are harmless most of the time.

But try telling that to your brain!

Chances are the flight part of your inbuilt "fight or flight" response mechanism has reared its ugly head before you get a chance to reason with it.

So just exactly how do you go about overcoming your fear of crowds?

If your fear is a mild one, it could be that you simply need to mix with small crowds and gradually adjust by gradually mixing with larger and larger crowds. Sometimes taking an understanding friend along with you can be idea - they're with you as a comfort and can help you if your fear suddenly starts to become overwhelming.

But what do you need to do if your fear is bigger than that?

If your fear is holding you back, you have three options:

* Run away from it - move to somewhere rural and isolated for instance.

* Live with it and avoid crowds as much as possible whilst still having a life.

* Face your fear and deal with it.

When it comes down to it, fear is actually pretty cowardly. So the third option (facing your fear of crowds) isn't actually as scary as it may seem.

Think back to the last time you got trapped in a crowd. Sure, it may not have been a pleasant experience for you. But after all the worry and cold sweats, think back. Did you come out of the event unscathed?

Assuming you did come out of your last crowd experience without harm, that's a good start. You can work with that positive memory to start to train your mind to react differently next time you're seemingly trapped in a crowd. Focus on your breathing - take long, deep breaths in and out.

Stay as calm as possible (this gets easier over time - make sure you've got help at hand the first few times you try it).

Gradually, you'll start to reprogram your mind.

If you can, think back to a time when you were happy in a crowd. Maybe a childhood birthday party or maybe a time when you managed to get to the cinema and watch a great movie. If you can find this kind of time, re-live it. In your mind's eye make the memory bigger, brighter, louder. This will help you to associate positive memories with crowds and will help you overcome your fear of crowds faster.<bio>Get more ways to overcome your fear of crowds and start to cure your crowd phobia.</bio>

When deciding on the best time for you and your family to visit Disney World, the main issue is usually the crowds. When visiting any major theme park, you are going to experience large crowds; And since Disney World is the most popular theme park in the world, there is hardly a day at the park without large crowds. If you do your research, you can find certain times of the year, January and September for example, that are less busy at Disney World. Even though you may enjoy shorter lines during these times, there are downsides to going at these less busy times of the year. For one, Disney has more festivities planned during certain times of the year like Christmas and New Years. For many people, it is worth fighting the crowds to be at Disney World during these times of major festivities.

Crowds are not the only factor when deciding on the best time to visit Disney World. It is also a good idea to take the weather into account. Many people assume that any time of the year is perfect weather in Florida but that is definitely not the case. The summer time can bring extreme heat and severe thunderstorms to the Orlando area that can ruin your day at Disney World. The brief showers are usually a great time to go inside and take a break. Some of the best weather at Disney World comes in the evening with mild temperatures so make sure to rest up during the day so you're ready to go out at night.

Other tips to keep in mind when planning a trip to Disney World:

- If you are ok with taking your kids out of school for a trip, do it! Any time other kids are at school is a great time to go to Disney World because you can expect smaller crowds and shorter lines

- Keep a close eye on park opening and closing times so you can take advantage of late nights and early starts

- Two weeks after the Thanksgiving holiday is a great time to go to Disney World because the crowds are minimal and the Christmas decorations are already up.

So when is the best time to go to Disney World' When it's called the happiest place on Earth, every day of the year is the best time to go. <bio>Ryan Bowman is the webmaster for http://www.world-of-disney.com </bio>

It may be known as the City of Water and the City of Light but as anyone who has been there in the height of summer season will know, it's also the City of Tourists! I should know -- I'm a Venice transfer driver, running airport transfers to Marco Polo and Treviso (the two main airports nearby), and I'm kept busy almost all year round.

Venice is one of the toughest cities to beat the crowds (14 million people visit each year), but it can be done, and the reward is well worth it -- the medieval architecture and unique atmosphere of this canal city make it one of the most astonishing cities in the world, so if you want to enjoy Venice and avoid the crowds, read on for my tips to get off the beaten track...

Travel Out of Season

Travelling out of season in Venice is tricky as the tourist season never really stops, but there are a few things to bear in mind when booking a holiday here. From April to October is the peak season, and avoid July and August at all costs -- the combination of massive crowds and muggy weather makes it very unpleasant at this time of year. Needless to say, I ferry a lot of people on Venice airport transfers at this time of year, and a lot of them complain about the crowds!

(On this subject of Venice transfers, one inside tip: there are no cars in the centre of the city, so if your hotel is near the centre, you'll have to book a Venice airport transfer and a water taxi to make it all the way. Plenty of visitors get caught out by this!)

Travelling in the weeks just before Easter can be a good compromise -- the streets are hardly deserted, but it isn't as busy as the summer and you get to enjoy some very good weather. If you really want to beat the crowds, January is the month to travel to Venice. It is cold and wet, with fierce winds coming in from the sea, but the streets are nearly deserted, and exploring the city without the crowds can be a magical experience. January is about the only time of the year that I'm not run off my feet with Venice airport transfers, so take advantage of the lull if you really want to see empty streets in the City of Light!

See the Sights...Not Just St Marks!

There's more to Venice than St Marks Square. The tourist trail between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks is packed for most of the year, but stray to some of the lesser known parts of the city and the crowds thin out remarkably quickly. The Cannaregio part of town in the north of Venice gets less foot traffic than the rest of the city and is home to many hidden gems -- one of these is Madonna dell'Orto, a beautiful gothic church with some superb artwork on the inside. Cannaregio also contains one of the seldom explored corners of Venice: the Campo del Ghetto Novo. This used to be the Jewish ghetto during the middle ages, and it is one of the oldest parts of the city with many medieval buildings -- a real pleasure to explore on foot.

Further out, a trip to Murano is a chance to see the traditional Venetian glassblowers at work, and it is a quiet and beautiful part of town to while away an afternoon. If you want to go further still you can catch a boat to Torcello, one of the other islands in the Venice lagoon. With only twenty residents, this tiny town is the perfect place to relax while on holiday in Venice.

At the end of the day, for all the complaints that people make (myself included!) about the crowds in Venice, there's little that can detract from the magic of the city. When I'm not run off my feet doing airport transfers to Marco Polo or Treviso, it is a great pleasure to just wander the streets and see where I end up. That's the best piece of advice I can give for getting off the beaten track -- just keep walking till you leave the crowds behind, and you are sure to find something fascinating in a hidden corner of Venice!<bio>Francisco Bachini is a Treviso and Marco Polo airport transfer driver for Shuttle Direct.
It's that time of year again. Time for back to school shopping. It`s a yearly routine that most parents come to dread as their children grow. There are many reasons to detest back to school shopping . . . the horrendous crowds, unhappy kids, waiting in line, rushing through the store only to discover the "must-have" backpack or notebook is out of stock. It`s a nightmare for any parent, but fortunately, there is an alternative to this hectic method.

Shop online to beat the crowds and to make sure you get those coveted items that your child simply must have. It`s the best way to stay sane during the back to school shopping season.

The Benefits of Online Back to School Shopping

There are so many benefits that make it best to shop online. If you aren`t convinced by the fact that you won`t be battling crowds, here are a few more benefits:

Better deals. There is no need to go from store to store looking for the best prices on loose-leaf or binders, it`s all right there online. Often you can apply an additional coupon code or go through a rewards program that really makes it worthwhile to shop online.

No fussing kids. Kids and long shopping trips don`t go well together, as you`ve probably noticed. This is the main reason parents dread back to school shopping, the tantrums! That`s not an issue if you are buying online.

Save on gas. Just trying to find a parking space during this time of year can use up quite a bit of expensive gas. By opting to shop online you are going to save a huge amount of money.
Avoid unfriendly staff. Online help is usually far more useful than frazzled in-store clerks who have been asked the same question fifty times today.

Skip the lines. Surely you have better things to do with your time than stand in line for hours. So skip that by doing your back to school shopping online and use the time for something more productive.

Shop through a rewards site. This lets you shop online like you normally would, but it also gives you extra points or prizes or even cash back for making the purchases via the rewards program.

Less stress. Getting your kids ready to go back to school is a stressful time of year anyway, so why complicate things? Spend some time relaxing instead of rushing around trying to get everything and enjoy the last few days of summer with your kids.

Get those extra special items. Every year there is at least one product that "everyone" has. Like Tickle Me Elmo, these items vanish in seconds off the store shelves, but you can almost always find them in stock online!
By doing your shopping online, you`ll find that you can take your time to source the best deals, without having to worry if someone else will grab the last one before you get there. It`s pretty easy to do a search for the items you need on Google and then look for some online coupon codes to get an extra discount.

Do your back to school shopping online and save a lot of stress and money, not to mention time. It`s so easy and everything is delivered right to your doorstep, making it rather silly to venture out in the back to school crowds! By choosing to shop online, you are practically guaranteeing that you`ll be the only sane parent out of the bunch when your kids head back to school.<bio>Internet shopping mall offering Fall Fashion Shopping trends and back to school online shopping to save you stress and money.</bio>

The weather in Murcia is consistently warm and mild, and is said by some to be the best weather in Spain. Summer temperatures go to 40 degrees Celsius, perfect for swimmers and sun lovers, but the weather is great during all of the other seasons as well. In winter, you can expect the temperature to hover about 10 degrees Celsius.

Because of its warm weather and unique location on the Segura River, this region is a veritable greenhouse for fruits and vegetables. The river flows through agricultural section, irrigating farms that produce wonderful fruits, vegetable, and flowers. The grapes and olives from the area produce great wines and olive oils. Be sure to partake of the fresh fruit and vegetables when you visit. There is little rainfall in summer in this area of the Alicante, only .7 inches in June to .22 inches in August. This leaves the summer days hot and sunny for swimming and sunbathing. Spring is a lovely time to spend here; if you prefer not to have the heat, and you want to avoid crowds, you couldn't pick a better time. The temperature is mild, but not hot, about 21 to 26 degrees Celsius in the day and falling to 8 to 13 degrees in the evening. And there is still little rain, even though spring is the rainy season in so many other places. During the spring, the average monthly rainfall is between .5 inches and ..65 inches.

Autumn is an ideal time to vacation in Murcia, since the temperatures in early fall are still almost as warm as the summer temperatures, but the crowds are gone, so you can enjoy all the beaches more easily. Even when the temperature starts to come down in later fall, it is still pleasant, between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. Average monthly rainfall is still low, between .8 and .69 inches per month. Many people prefer to take a golf vacation in this area in the fall when the weather is still warm, but the sun is not beating down on them as much as during the summer months.

A lot of people from northern Europe like to escape to the Alicante region and Murcia in particular since the temperatures, though cooler than summer are practically balmy to them in comparison to home! Some retirees stay all winter, and some people just take a short getaway to get a break from the cold. The cooler temperatures, ranging from 17 to 18 degrees Celsius in the day and 5 to 7 degrees in the night, are still accompanied by sunny skies, since the rainfall is still sparse. This is the perfect time, many people feel, for a golf vacation, or to visit sites without the crowds and heat. <bio>Jack Blacksmith usually creates online reports on news related to Spain and Alicante.
Every year, drawn by the promise of gorgeous weather and beautiful beaches, thousands of travellers from the UK go on camping and mobile home holidays in the Cote d'Azur. Campsites are scattered all along the coast, and the beaches around Cannes and St Tropez are glamorous, fashionable...and usually very crowded! For many people, the hustle and bustle is very much part of the experience of camping in the Cote d'Azur, but some will crave a more secluded beach where they can relax in peace and quiet.

Fortunately, the area also contains many uninterrupted beaches for those who know how to find them or are willing to seek them out. So, if you tire of the crowds while camping in the Cote d'Azur, here are five hidden beaches to relax on...

Port de Crouton Plage

If you are going to the French Rivera with your family, why not find a Cote d'Azur campsite near this beach which is located in Juan-les-Pins. This beach is a real hidden gem, and a perfect place to go with children. The soft sand slopes very gently into the sea, making it safe for children, and the secluded location and beautiful surroundings make it just as enjoyable for adults!

Mala Plage

Despite being only ten minutes away from Monaco, Mala Plage is rarely crowded, perhaps due to the steep ten minute walk it takes to get there. It is almost child free, so it is a great place for couples looking to escape the crowds on their Cote d'Azur camping holidays. There is also a range of activities available on the beach, including jet skiing, snorkelling and diving.

Plage de Passable

The Plage de Passable, located in Villefranche bay, is an outstanding and peaceful place to swim and sunbathe. This sheltered pebble beach is popular with locals in the know, and if you are staying in a nearby Cote d'Azur campsite, you should trust their judgement! There is an excellent restaurant here, and the 4km Cap Ferrat hiking trail is a lovely walk that passes by the houses of the rich and famous who live in Villefranche.

Paloma Plage

In Cap Ferrat, the over-rich and over-trendy crowd gravitate towards the Paloma Beach Club, leaving the public beach relatively uncrowded. Take full advantage of their mistake, and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cote d'Azur -- gorgeous sand, turquoise water, and breathtaking views out over the bay.

Saleccia

If you really want to beat the crowds, then try escaping the Cote d'Azur altogether -- the Saleccia beach is located on the nearby island of Corsica, and it is almost completely deserted and utterly beautiful. If you are camping in the Cote d'Azur you can get to Corsica by taking a car ferry from Nice or Cannes, and the trip is well worth it -- this beach really is a local highlight.

Whether you are travelling with the family or as a couple, you don't need to fight the crowds if you want to go to the beach while camping in the Cote d'Azur -- if you like peace and quiet with your sun and sand, these five secluded beaches will be just right for you.<bio>Stephen Lane is the Marketing Director of Canvas Holidays, one of the leading European camping and mobile home holiday companies in the UK.
You truly do not understand the full benefits of shopping online until you step foot in a retail store. There are crowds of people to fight through, lines to wait in while purchasing your item, and it almost always seems like you have to jump from store to store to find the item you were looking for. Headache?

You are not the only one.

Shopping online provides a sense of comfort and ease while purchasing exactly what you want, when you want it from your home. There are several benefits you will get from shopping at your home as oppose to running all over the city.

First off, you eliminate any driving whatsoever. And with gas prices the way they are today, that alone can pay for the gift or item you were planning on purchasing. You can also cut down on the "thrilling" adventure of driving from store to store. It is weird, but it seems that every store you go to has everything except what you are looking for. Funny how that works, huh?

By shopping online, you can quickly scroll through as many stores as it takes to find the item you are looking for. You can do this with the click of a button and have access to hundreds of stores. Another great thing about this is that you can generally find a much wider selection then what retail stores have to offer.

The next thing to look at is the price. When you go to retail stores, hardly ever will you find an actual sale. More times than not, the sale price is just the actual price that they have every weekend to intrigue buyers. If you go online, you have the ability to jump from store to store and price compare. This way you can truly benefit from the price drop.

Another thing that the internet has to offer that retail stores do not is wholesale. When stores sell at or below the retail price, this is known as wholesale. You will find no such sales in a retail store.

Finally, shopping online allows you to shop right from your home at any time of the day. The internet never closes, unlike malls and retail stores. This way you do not have to worry about finding the perfect time to shop when the crowd is low. The crowd is always low and the stores are always open for your convenience.

There is no question that shopping online is the way to go. Without having to deal with crowds of people, having a plethora of options, and finding what you want immediately, you no longer will have the headache of shopping at a retail store. <bio>Kenji Sakamoto : Shopping offers information on online shopping.
When you go on a date, picking the right place is just as important as the clothes you wear and your etiquette.

There are a number of reasons I stress the importance of the place you choose for your date. First, you don't want to take your date to a place they are not interested in. You must both choose a place that you mutually agree on. If your date suggests that the two of you go to a place that you're not comfortable with, you should not be afraid to let them know this. If you go to a place that makes you uncomfortable, it can damage the date. It will also show that you have poor communication skills, because you failed to make it clear that you didn't want to go there.

To pick the best place for a date, you must first understand the interests of both you and your partner. For example, if either you or your partner hates sports, does it make sense to buy tickets to a sports event? If you or your partner hate being in large crowds, does it make sense to attend a crowded party? It is critical that you choose a date that perfectly matches the interest of both you and your partner. If the two of you cannot come to a consensus on where you want to go, this may be a sign that the two of you are not compatible with each other. The reason I say this is because if you both have similar interests, it should be easy for you to choose a suitable location for your date.

An art gallery is a great place for those who are intellectual or have artistic interests. Another good place for these types of people is the library or bookstore. Many couples choose a dinner and a movie. If you do this, pick a movie that the both of you are equally interested in. The same goes for food. A dinner and a movie is a classic form of dating, and it is a great way for the two of you to get to know each other better. You may not want to go to an expensive restaurant on your first date, unless this is something both of you agree on. Another good place for couples is a nice park or garden. You can sit and talk about various topics while enjoying the company of each other.

A classic place for intellectuals is the museum. This is a quiet place where the two of you can talk about the various exhibitions that are being presented it. Those who enjoy being in large crowds may want to go to concerts, sporting events, or even clubs. If you both like to shopping, you can spend a day going to various stores. <bio>Ron Zvagelsky has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. The climate is a typical Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The climate makes this area one of the most popular vacation destinations in the country.

The geography of the area contributes to the weather. Small hills and larger mountains to the north of Alicante offer natural protection from the north winds. This helps keep the climate temperate in the winter. The weather is nice in both summer and winter for vacations.

Alicante Weather in the Spring and Summer

The average high temperatures in the summer range from 22 to 26 degrees Celsius, with some days reaching up to 40. The minimum night time temperatures range between 17 and 17 degrees Celsius. There is about twelve hours of sunlight during the summer months. The climate is mostly dry with very little rain in the summer.

The summer is the most popular time to visit the Costa Blanca region. The area has a typical Mediterranean summer. The weather is hot and dry with sun nearly every day. This climate makes this area a great place to enjoy the beaches and summer water sports. However, this time of year is also the most crowded in terms of tourists.

Some people choose to visit the area in the Spring to avoid the crowds. The weather is still warm and mostly dry. It is warm enough to enjoy the beach, but not extremely hot. In addition, you won't have to deal with crowds in the summer.

There is more rain in the Spring than in the winter, but most days are still sunny. The average daily high temperature ranges between 14 and 19 degrees Celsius. At night time, the temperature ranges from 8 to 13 degrees. You can expect around seven hours of sunlight in the early spring to about ten hours per day in the late Spring.

Alicante Weather in the Autumn and Winter

Rain is more likely in the autumn, especially the later autumn months. In early autumn, there is still little rain and the weather is still very warm. If you want to avoid the crowds and the hotter months, consider travelling in autumn. Vacations at this time are best in places with a year round economy. Some of the more popular tourist destinations close down at the end of the summer months.

The average daily high temperature in the autumn ranges from 24 degrees Celsius in September to 15 in November. At night, the temperatures drop to between 8 and 17 degrees Celsius. Keep in mind that autumn has more rainy days than the other seasons. Plan your outdoor activities for the sunny days and visit museums and shop on the rainy days.

Alicante and other areas of the Costa Blanca are becoming popular spots for winter holidays. Northern Europeans looking to escape the freezing temperatures and snow come to this area. Snow is very rare, particularly in the coastal areas.

The average high temperature in the winter months range from 12 to 16 degrees Celsius. At night, the temperatures drop to between 5 and 8 degrees. This area has about seven hours of sunlight each day in the winter. The mild winter temperatures make this area a great spot for golf holidays in the winter months. <bio>Focusing recent findings in Torrevieja, Jack Blacksmith publishes almost entirely for http://www.alicante-spain.com .
Terri Marie: Well, there you go. You have just stripped away all the essence of all the other stuff and come to a simplicity part of it again. I like the way that you did that John. As well as writing books, you also like poetry. Why do you like poetry? Is there anything special or anything that poetry can give us that's a little bit out of the ordinary?

John Harricharan: It is almost akin to music, I think poetry in its own way is music and you do very well writing poetry also I've read some of yours and loved them. And I think poetry is the music of the soul expressed a little differently from just ordinary prose. It will evoke within us, feelings of grandeur and hope and so forth and as a little boy, I was tremendously influenced by poetry.

Actually I found almost everything poetic, and at the age of three, I was brought into this giant temple by my father we're in front of a crowded temple. I recited the poem called "A Song of life". And till this day, decades later, I still could step back and look at that little boy on the stage, as he ended it by saying lives of great men all remind us, we can make our lives sublime and departing leave behind us, footprints on the sands of time.

I think poetry is therapeutic just as music is. And a poetry serves as a source of inspiration sometimes when we're down in the arena and they have their boots on our necks, and the dust is in our nose and our mouth and we can hear the crowd screaming "Kill him, kill him, destroy him, use the sword on him" and we don't know where to -- and today the crowds would probably be the people who hold your mortgage or who holds the notary of your car or your boss or your job or what not it hasn't changed much in thousands of years.

So we still get down in the arena, when that happens, we need all the strength and all the hope to say to our souls even when you were bleeding. It ain't over yet, it isn't finished yet. It isn't done yet. I can get up, I can get up, and that's when you get up and you sit down and you're kind it to yourself and you say, "Okay John, that stinks, that hurts, that was bad really bad." But you have brushed the dust off and you go on. Do you know what keeps you going? It's hope. Hope keeps you going.

You don't need hope to have faith, but hope leads you to faith and it keeps you going until you take that other step and the other step and all of a sudden, the crowds are not boeing any longer. You're in this arena, you're in the stadium and they are shouting for you "long live Terry Marie, long live Vish, Hurray for John". Now you have come from one place to the other and sources of inspiration such as, music, poetry, nature the company you keep, could take you there and make that road a little bit calmer, a little bit more interesting and a little bit more joyful. <bio>Lecturer, entrepreneur and Fortune 500 business consultant, Vish Writer is the author of the Amazon No 1 bestseller, "The Joy of Becoming God" For more information, visit: http://www.spiritual-simplicity.com http://www.vish-writer.com </bio>

One of the most popular destinations for luxury vacation travelers making a stop in the United States is Disney World. Deemed the happiest place on earth, Disney World has become popular with travelers of all ages. Unfortunately, many people fear the Disney World experience after hearing horror stories about long lines, incredible heat and humidity, and packed hotels. But you can get the most out of your Disney World vacation by doing your best to beat the crowds and by spending your money wisely.

Beating the Crowds

As one of the most popular places to visit, Disney World is often crowded. With an average park occupancy rate of 75%, travelers on a luxury travel vacation will be hard pressed to find something without a wait or line. The first thing you can do is avoid going at high season. High season is any time children will be out of school, meaning summer, winter breaks, Thanksgiving, and Easter/spring break. The lowest attendance can be found in January after New Year's. Also, try and arrive on a Thursday. Most travelers will arrive Friday and Saturday, and almost no one goes into the parks the first day. That means Thursday arrivals can spend all day Friday and Saturday in the parks while everyone else is arriving or leaving.

Spending Your Money Wisely

The first question posed to travelers on Disney World luxury vacations is, "Do you want to stay at a Disney-run property." This is often the best way to go. There are several levels of hotels. You can stay in a budget hotel, a deluxe hotel or a luxury hotel. The prices are comparable to other nearby accommodations, as long as they are within the same category. Plus, you get a number of perks by staying in the Disney Resort, such as extra morning and evening magic hours at selected parks, guaranteed admission to the park, quick access to the parks via motor coach, monorail, or water taxis, special Disney events, free shuttle from airport, Disney trained "Cast Members" available to answer your questions about the park. Also, don't over spend on tickets. If you are going to the resorts for seven nights, you will probably not need a seven day pass because you won't get to the parks until the second day. Don't waste your money on the no expiration date option. As for overpriced Disney merchandise, you can find amazing deals at the local outlets, at the nearby outlet mall, or at the local Wal-Mart, Target or Kmart.

These simple tips can really make all the difference on a Disney World luxury travel vacation. Beat the crowds as best you can, but understand that even if you succeed, Disney World's version of "low attendance" is about 40% capacity.
People love to shop. Just take a look around. Has the population grown out of control, or is everyone at the mall? I am surprised when I pull into the mall parking lot on occasion, and there are unlimited cars in search of a parking place. It's almost overwhelming. Doesn't anyone know that you can shop at home? This is what makes the Internet so great. It virtually provides us with innumerable conveniences.

Don't count on the local shopping mall or outlet stores to have those wonderful bargains; take a gander at what is online.

My wife loves to shop. She wants to hit up the local retail stores on a usual basis. The sad news is that I have a teenage daughter who's the same way. Yet the sadder news is that I have a seven-year-old daughter as well. Feel sorry for me yet? Shopping must be a part of the female genetic code. While I don't dislike heading out with them in search of unnecessary clothing and accessories, I simply get upset with the crowds.

My solution to this dilemma is to shop at home. Your computer is a gateway to the entire world. Any store you can fathom will be found online. By shopping from home you can free yourself of the hectic atmosphere commonly found in malls.

A great advantage when you shop at home is the price. If you haven't surfed through cyberspace, then you are truly missing out. That bracelet you so keenly desire is probably half the price online. That fishing rod you long for relentlessly is likely 40 percent off on the right website. When you shop at home, you save the dough. Why pay 100 bucks, when you can pay 60 for the same item? It doesn't make sense.

My wife claims that she has to see clothing and shoes in person in order to try them on before purchasing. This is all fine and good. Try things out in the store, then if you want them, come home and buy them on the Internet. I have made this a ritual. I buy everything online, and enjoy being able to shop at home. Nothing beats the comfort of your own home.

A perfect example is a gift that I lately acquired for my father's birthday. I searched online, and ended up finding it for nearly 50 percent under the retail cost. That's what you get at retail stores; the retail cost! Try shopping online and I guarantee you will save some bucks. With the high prices and crowds, it is simply ideal to shop at home these days. <bio>Tracie M.
In this day and age, getting what you want in terms of shopping has never been easier, and one of the top reasons as to why that is due to the prevalence on online shopping. You'll find that shopping online, especially in the UK, is a great experience, and once you make your first online purchase, you can be sure that it is probably not your last.

One of the reasons why online shopping in the UK has taken off is due to the amount of crowding that is present in many of the larger cities. London, for example, is the most populous city in the world, as well as one of the most congested. Many UK citizens are finding that it is a great deal more convenient to shop online rather than brave the crowds. Whether they are in a situation where moving around out of doors is difficult or uncomfortable or they are simply tired of the crowds and the congestion, shoppers in the UK have found plenty of reasons to have their goods brought directly to their doors.

Online shopping has brought many goods that are difficult to find locally to UK citizens. Online shopping allows shoppers to find exactly what they are looking for, whether it is a perfect gift for that hard to please relative or the ideal accent to their tastefully decorated home, they can find it online. They no longer have to trudge from store to store and then find a way to get it back to their house. Online shopping will deliver their goods in a timely and efficient manner, something that is far preferable to having to arrange transport. Many online stores offer discounts in shipping when multiple items are ordered at once, and many people are taking advantage of this, resulting in an online shopping boom.

When you make the decision to shop online, you can rest assured that the majority of the sites out there that you are giving your money to are quite safe. It is important to remember, though, that it never hurts to be careful, and that when you are shopping online, you are essentially putting secure information out into a network beyond your control. However, the UK market has taken steps to prevent their citizens from being scammed; you'll find plenty of sites online that are geared to UK shoppers and shops that list different business as having excellent safety standards. Take a look at the directories that will tell you about the safest place to stop and make sure that you never have to deal with the headache of a stolen credit card number.

Always remember to check the page for the secure padlock to ensure it is secure and when buying online try to use a credit cart as this way even in the extremely rare case that your details were stolen the bank would cover any costs an erroneous billings.

Shopping online in the UK has really taken off, so take the opportunity to find out why. Shopping has never been more convenient or more safe! <bio>Vincent Norman is the owner of (http://www.onlineshoppingcentre.co.uk).
Every person would love a vacation. The excitement multiplies a great deal if the holiday is to a destination like the Disneyland. If the travel brochures and the pictures of happy campers are to be believed, Disneyland is the home of wholesome family entertainment. If you want lots of fun coupled with relaxation, pampering, and enjoyment for the kids, the land of Walt Disney may be just the place.

People who have been there, done that say that everyone should take a vacation to Disneyland once in their lifetime, if only to find out what fun holidays are all about. A visit to the Alps or to Australia might be a thrilling experience. But being part of the Walt Disney world, and exploring every nook and corner of it is believed to be an experience in itself. It is said that one has to experience Disneyland to understand what it is all about. Some even go so far as to say that if you work every single day of your life to save up enough for this vacation, you will treasure every moment of it.

The best thing about a Disneyland vacation is the fact that you just cannot get bored. It may seem expensive at the outset, but reach the Disneyland premises and you will agree that it was worth it. It truly is a trip for the whole family. So if you are looking for a vacation option that every member of your family will enjoy, a trip to Disneyland may be a great idea. Here is a vacation destination to look forward to. And if you have ever been there, you will agree that it gives you memories that you will treasure forever.

Once you have decided that this is where you are heading, make your bookings at the earliest. Make sure that you plan well ahead of time and try and book yourself into rooms that are on the Disneyland premises. If you are going in the peak season, do your bookings much in advance. Once the holiday season starts, getting rooms might be a problem. The vacation crowds cannot be avoided, but it can be a bit of a party-pooper if you find that you have to drive down to the Disneyland premises everyday.

Do note that there are people who book as early as a year in advance. However, in most cases, booking six months earlier should be good enough. Discounted rates are offered by Disneyland during the off season. So if you are flexible on when you want to go, you could check out the details pertaining to this. A considerable amount can be saved via this. The bonus is that you will be able to take in the sights without having to worry about large crowds either.

Walt Disneyland is all about grandeur. There is plenty of space and there are top class facilities. So don't you go expecting that the cost of the rooms and food will be low. Plan out your itinerary if you want to do more in a little time. <bio>We are your destination for Disney news at http://www.windsorpalmsflorida.com/vacation/ and Orlando vacation rentals at http://www.windsorpalmsflorida.com Explore Florida and stay at the Reunion Resort at http://www.windsorpalmsflorida.com/reunion-resort.html </bio>

Whether the holidays are just around the bend or a loved one as a birthday coming up, online shopping could provide you with the solution that you are looking for. Online shopping gives you plenty of convenient options to choose from, and it is no wonder why more and more people are choosing to log in to look for that perfect gift rather than head to the mall for an uncertain selection of goods.

When you shop online, you are assured of getting the most varied selection of goods no matter what you are looking for. While websites like Amazon are making a splash with the wide range of products that they can deliver to your door, you can get plenty of one of a kind objects and adornments straight from their creators. Many artists and jewelers are directly taking their wares online and you'll have your pick, whether you're looking for wooden sculptures or custom metal hairpins. Even finding unique foreign work is not unusual. Use powerful search engines like Google and check out the sponsored links above and to the side; these links are specifically looking for customers and can aid you in your search for merchandise.

Online shopping is also an excellent way to get a great bargain. Everyone's heard of the great deals that occur on eBay, where people can buy hundreds of dollars worth of goods for just a few dollars, but you don't even need to risk an online auction to get what you want. As more and more people are turning to home business and do it yourself service, you'll be able to find plenty of goods that go for prices that are not terribly much more than the cost of materials. With sellers and vendors being cut out of the picture, you can find plenty of wonderful gifts for a fraction of the price that you would have expected to pay in stores.

Online shopping is especially good for those who have no desire to brave crowds. Shopping malls and small shops are bad enough at the best of times, but if you throw in a holiday frenzy on top of that, they can be quite difficult to take. If you're recovering from an injury or simply have an aversion to crowds, you'll find that online shopping is a great way to make sure that you can get great presents without leaving the comfort of your own home. Even better, if the gifts are going somewhere distant, you can have them sent directly to where the recipient is living, without having to deal with long lines at the post office or figuring out postage costs. In terms of convenience, online shopping has a great deal to offer anyone who would prefer low pressure purchases made from their own computer.

If you are looking for a great way to shop, look around online. Online shopping has thrown open many doors and no matter where you live, if you have an internet connection, you are now able to tap into a whole new world of goods and services. <bio>Vincent Norman is the owner of (http://www.onlineshoppingcentre.co.uk).
As crowds are bigger and delays longer, traveling to the Caribbean during the holiday season can sometimes be difficult. When traveling during the holiday season, you will find that most of the delays confronting you involve the airport. Most of these troubles can be avoided, however, with a little preparation. You must organize all the details of your vacation, especially your air travel, before you depart to prevent any unwanted surprises. Here are some important travel tips to spare you some headaches on your holiday Caribbean vacation.

Before you even drive to the airport, consider public transportation as airport parking lots fill up quickly during the holidays. If you live far from your airport, a one night stay in an airport hotel might offer extended parking.

To streamline line your air travel, research the check-in procedures for your airline as most offer both online check-in and printable boarding passes. You can also use the curbside check-in at the airport or self-service kiosks to avoid the lines at the counter. To anticipate how long you will need to clear security at the airport, check the Transportation Security Administration's website (www.tsa.gov). While the times listed on the site are daily and hourly averages that don't account for holiday travel, you can assume that the wait will be at least as long as a Friday evening.

Make sure that you also review the current rules for carry-on luggage. Though the ban on liquids in carry-on luggage was lifted in September, travelers are still only allowed to pack travel-size toiletry items -- 3 ounces or less -- in their carry-on luggage. All of these travel-size bottles and containers must be stored within a clear, one-quart zip-top bag for screening. However, if you don't need any of these items on your flight to the Caribbean, you can place any size toiletry item or liquid in your checked bags.

If you plan on renting a car on your Caribbean vacation, remember that most car rental companies anticipate a 20% rate of no-shows. During the holiday travel season, the resultant overbooking could leave you without a vehicle. While it is advised to arrive at the rental counter by the early afternoon, you can also call ahead to confirm your reservation. If you are enrolled in an express check-in program, take advantage of your status and skip the long lines.

If you are still making plans for a holiday Caribbean vacation, try your best to be flexible. Try to book flights that depart in the early morning or late evening as prices will be lower. Also, selecting a flight on a holiday like Christmas or New Year's Day will offer you a considerable discount, as crowds tend to fly on the days before and after the holidays.

To prevent one of the biggest delays of all, aim for a nonstop flight. If you can't make it to your Caribbean destination without a connecting flight, try to avoid connections in northern U.S. cities like Chicago as weather grounds many flights in the winter months. Instead, fly through Phoenix, Dallas or another southern city to avoid any unnecessary delay.

Another great travel tip for the holidays is programming the numbers of your airline, car rental company, hotel and other travel contacts into your cell phone. In the event that you are delayed getting to your Caribbean destination, you will be prepared to make arrangements.

Lastly, as you will probably want to bring plenty of gifts home from the Caribbean, remember not to wrap them until you get home so they can be inspected by airport security. Also, keep all of the valuable or fragile gifts in your carry-on luggage to ensure that they aren't damaged during handling.

By following travel tips as simple as these and being prepared for the crowds, you are sure to have a successful holiday Caribbean vacation. <bio>This article was written by Justin.
There's no denying that it has become more and more difficult to fly without running into snags or problems with the airport or the airlines. Enduring the line at the security check point in some airports is enough to put some passengers in a bad mood. However, despite all of the inconveniences that come with flying, it is a necessity. There are several things that can be done to make flying easier and more hassle free, and all that is involved is a little bit of common sense and planning.

1. Get to the Airport Early Arriving at the airport early is a no-brainer, especially when the airlines tell passengers to arrive at least two hours prior to a flight's departure time. However, there are many people who refuse to heed this request, and arrive at the airport just several minutes before a flight is scheduled to leave. If there is a line at the check-in counter or at security, this can create a very stressful situation. Not only may the flight be missed, but a new flight must be booked, and the passengers will probably have to travel stand-by on a later flight with no guarantee of a seat until the very last minute.

2. Take a Morning Flight. Leaving on an early flight does not necessarily mean a 4 a.m. flight must be chosen. However, flights that leave first thing in the morning are less likely to be running late, and they are less likely to be affected by weather problems across the country and/or other planes that may be delayed at other airports. Also, if for some reason the first flight of the day is canceled or delayed, there will probably be several other flights throughout the day that, if necessary, can be taken instead.

3. Try Not to Fly During andquot;Rush Hourandquot; Airports, like highways, have rush hours. Typically, rush hour in the morning is from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., and in the afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. These are the hours when airports are the most crowded with people waiting for flights. Crowds mean longer lines at the security check points, more people in the restrooms, more people waiting in restaurant lines, and more people taking up seats in the waiting areas. Flying at a NON-rush hour time of day can alleviate the need to stand in lines and sit with crowds.

4. Try to Take Non-Stop Flights Obviously, when a non-stop flight is taken, there is less risk of being delayed. Taking off and landing both take quite a bit of time, so avoiding having to do this twice is recommended. There will always be destinations when a non-stop flight is not available, but there are plenty of cities where non-stop flights are just as common as those that stop. It may even be worth a few extra dollars to book a non-stop flight to avoid an unneeded hassle and the possibility of being delayed.

5. Book Connections with Enough Time If a non-stop flight is not available to a desired destination, make sure to schedule enough time in between flights. When airlines book flights, they often have a layover requirement of 30 or 45 minutes between connections. However, this is often not enough time if the original flight arrives late. In order to avoid this stress, try to schedule connecting flights with at least an hour to spare between the arrival time of the first flight and the departure time of the connecting flight. <bio>Find LAX airport hotels at http://www.airporthotelsbest.com/ </bio>

Benidorm weather, like the greatest part of the Costa Blanca is nearly perfect throughout the year. This is what makes the area one of the most sought out vacation spots in the world. One of the reasons for the great weather in this Spain hotspot is because of the fact that the city is surrounded by mountains that protect the area from the colder winds from the north. Therefore, even the winter is a great time to visit this part of the world.

The weather in Benidorm is basically a typical Mediterranean climate. This means basically that the area has longer hot summers and a mild winter. As well, the spring and fall times are both warm as well. Of course as with most vacation areas the summer is the most popular time for visitors, where the combination of hot weather and seldom rain make it the perfect beach vacation.

You'll find the most tourists enjoying the Costa Blanca in the months between May and October. However, you wouldn't be wrong to visit in the spring with temperatures being normally warm and having little rain. The temperatures during this season are from around 50 to 70 degrees.

The average temperature for the summer is between 60 to 80 degrees, with August usually being the hottest of summer months, going up to over 100 degrees at times. These temperatures go down a bit in the evening to about 65 to 80 degrees.

Since the weather is best in the summer this is when the biggest crowds come as well. For this reason you'll want to plan your trip well in advance for the summer months. This includes planning your flight, reserving your hotel, and reserving your car rental as well. If not, you choices could be drastically lowered as well as the fact that you could end up paying more.

If you want to avoid the crowd you could still visit the area in the Fall or Winter time, however you may want to note that Fall is the rainy season here, and therefore is the reason for the low crowds. Flooding has actually been known to happen during this season even, as well as severe electrical storms in or around September.

However, even though it does rain, the temperatures during the autumn months are quite mild, with an average of 60 to 80 degrees. The night drops a bit, down to around 50 to 65.

One thing that the Costa Blanca is actually known for is the mild winters, when compared to much of Europe. Therefore winter is popular in Benidorm for Northern Europeans who are looking to escape the cold. This brings about a lot of retirees to the region. So, you'll find many who live in Benidorm throughout the winter and return back to their home country in the spring.

Basically, Benidorm is a great place to visit nearly throughout the year, except for maybe a small window of time in the fall months, when you get the most rain and lightning storms. <bio>Focusing on news and information about Spain, Clinton Maxwell writes for the most part for http://www.alicante-spain.com .
