When thinking about a romantic evening, there are probably a few typical visions that come to mind for some people. Years ago, it may have been a drive-in movie in a hotrod car, a milkshake with 2 straws, wearing a special someone's pin at the school sock-hop. Nowadays, those romantic nights more likely include dim lighting or candles, soft music, flowers, dancing, or a cozy table for two. Young couples seated at bistro sets sharing a dessert, and then salsa-dancing the night away.

The latter vision also reminds me of ordinary evenings in Europe. Many a night, there are musicians in the street at outdoor cafes, playing for the patrons seated at mosaic-topped bistro tables and chairs. Locals and tourists of all ages gather for a drink or snack, meeting others and just enjoying the fresh air. Just stroll through piazzas in Venice, Italy, or streets in Paris, France, and you're bound to see all kinds of cute, tucked away bistro table sets at restaurants.

The intimate feeling of bistro table sets has entered the home decorating world in the form of patio furniture, with all kinds of bistro table sets being used as a major design element in homes and on porches. Apartments and lofts, small homes with minimal dining space, and porches and patios have become cozy corners with the addition of a sweet table and few matching chairs. Even in homes with sprawling great rooms and hallways, you can probably find a bistro set in a nook somewhere the owners imagined would be a fun place to sit and enjoy their morning coffee and newspaper.

Sounds very nice and relaxing, doesn't it? Time for a reality check!

If you are like the majority of the population, the chances of you sitting down in a quiet corner on the streets of Europe are slim to none. You may have children running around spilling juice and cereal. The school bus comes in five minutes and their lunches are not made. The dog is barking because he needs a walk, and your spouse has an early morning meeting and therefore can't be of any help.

So there you are, newspaper tucked under your arm for later, your coffee in a to-go thermos, picking up the kids book bags as you rush them out the door to the bus. And forget your table being clear enough to eat on anyway. Stacks of school papers, junk mail, and bills (hopefully paid!) are scattered so that you need to make piles out of piles just to find a clear surface.

However, bistro sets can create cozy corners on your patio or own backyard with your favorite garden flower as the centerpiece. You may not be serenaded by a Parisian violinist, but you may find that your back porch is far enough away from your daily routine to make all the difference.

So whether you have a small space to fill on a patio balcony or an outdoor living area where you are trying to create the feel of a European cafe, placing a bistro set on your patio is a great investment.<bio>For more information on outdoor furniture or bistro sets please look online at www.premierefirepits.com</bio>

Thinking about planning a vacation for the Netherlands? Why not opt for Amsterdam? Prior to flying there, you want to learn some basic facts about the city. Provided below are some facts for those who are thinking about or planning to vacation in Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is an instantly likable and compact European city. Many who have vacationed in Amsterdam have reported that the city is not only appealing to look at but that Amsterdam is also enjoyable to walk around with its dreamy canals and cozy cafes. Amsterdam is where international and parochial behaviors join. It is where attitudes towards visitors are welcoming. This attitude has resulted from embracing liberal counterculture during the past four decades.

Most people in Amsterdam can speak fluent English. Some speak German and French but if you are an English speaker it is recommended that you speak in English rather than French or German.

The layout of Amsterdam includes a web of canals that radiate from a historical core and loops around to the center. Many Amsterdam vacation resources note that these extensions of the seventeenth century make for an elegant and distinctive urban environment. Some Amsterdam vacationers deem the city as one most charming because it is far away from the noise and traffic of many other city centers in Europe. These facts make Amsterdam a popular vacation destination in Europe.

Amsterdam is known throughout the world to be tolerant towards various styles of dress and behavior. An interesting fact that you should also be aware of before vacationing in Amsterdam is that it is also widely known as a place where the sale and possession of cannabis are decriminalized. For the most part, however, the citizens of Amsterdam can't be bothered with it.

The above information should be helpful in giving you some insight as to what Amsterdam is like. But if you are planning to vacation in Amsterdam, it is suggested that you do further research and learn even more about the fabulous city of Amsterdam. <bio>Abby Johnson is a staff writer at http://www.visitworldcities.com and is an occasional contributor to several other websites including, http://www.lifestylegazette.com. </bio>

If you are a scrapbooking junkie like me, you know that your scrapbooking supplies can really stack up from your various projects. Many people just find a place to do their scrapbooking wherever they can find a spot.

It can get pretty difficult to be creative when you are cramped in a tiny space or have a lot of distractions around you while you scrapbook.

Why not create a scrapbook room that is all yours? Below you will find some tips on how to create the ultimate scrapbook room.

Make the Most of Your Space

While you're designing your ultimate scrapbook room, you'll want to get the most use of your space as possible. Do this with shelving. You can get floor to ceiling shelving to have a lot of storage space.

You know what they say =96 if you can't build out, build up. One great thing to do with this shelving is to purchase some great bins or baskets to put small things in. You can place stickers, embellishments, ribbons, markers or any other little thing in bins like this.

Set the Mood

A scrapbook room is not only about storing your supplies, you also want it to be inviting and cozy for when you are working on a project and spending time in there. Here are some things you can use to your scrapbook room comfortable and appealing:

- At least one big cozy armchair. (Depending on how big your space is, get a few for when friends come over to scrapbook with you.)

- A great inviting and relaxing paint color. This will welcome you and make you feel peaceful while working on your scrapbook projects.

- Art. Placing some stimulating art on the walls will also help make your scrapbook room welcoming, and give you some much-needed inspiration.

- Candles. Get some great scented candles to light in your room. This will make your environment cozy and special, along with adding a little touch of scent.

Prepare the Necessities

For your scrapbook room to really be perfect you will need the ultimate work area. You can get some functional items that will help you in your projects and give you the tools you need to be efficient and productive. Here are some great things you will need to add to your space:

- A large table or flat working space.

- A bright lamp or light to help you see the little items you will be working with. This is a great thing to help keep you from straining your eyes while you're working on projects.

- A cabinet to place all of your tools for scrapbooking. Some of these might include: hot glue guns, staplers, scissors, paint, etc.

Making your ultimate scrapbooking room can be fun and beautiful if you use your imagination and a bit of creativity. Think of the things you use the most and place them at reachable level. The things you use less often can go in higher places.

You need a space to relax and be able to create your beautiful art works and think outside of the box. You will be very glad you've decided to give yourself this gift. Use these great tips to help get you on the track to more efficient and productive works of beauty. <bio>Amy C is a scrapbooking addict and mother of four.
Snuggling under the covers and pulling your warm and cozy comforter up to your chin is so enjoyable on cold winter nights. When the comforter is a luxurious, beautiful one, it feels even better. There are several popular types of luxurious comforters available and each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

When most people think of luxurious comforters, they picture white plushy down filled bed covers. These comforters are so soft and so warm that it's no wonder they are very popular. If you have been afraid to use a down comforter because you are concerned that someone in your family will be allergic to down, you may be pleasantly surprised to know that new cleaning methods have been developed that help remove allergens and debris from down to make it hypoallergenic.

If you love down, but you have a polyester budget, then you may want to look for a synthetic down comforter. These comforters are filled with special material that feels almost as soft and warm as real down.

And there are lots of choices of duvet covers to choose for you down or synthetic down comforter so you can easily match your décor or change it whenever you want. Duvet covers also help keep a down comforter or synthetic down comforter clean so you won't need to have them professionally cleaned as often.

If a down comforter is not quite your style, you may want to look for a sophisticated satin comforter instead. These comforters come in a wide range of brilliant jewel tone colors, but you can also find them in classic black. Of course, satin can be a bit slippery and doesn't breathe well.

Silk comforters are quite beautiful, but aren't as slippery as satin. Silk comforters are very lightweight, but this doesn't stop them from being warm and cozy. With the increase in environmental awareness, these quilts made with natural fibers are really growing in popularity. However, silk comforters require special care, so don't wash them without checking the cleaning instructions on the care tag.

Suede comforters are perfect for a masculine bedroom, but are a bit on the heavy side. If you are concerned about caring for a suede comforter, you may want to consider a micro-suede comforter instead. Micro-suede looks like real suede, but is easier to care for and much lighter. While suede rarely is quilted, you can find quite a few micro-suede comforters with quilted designs.

If none of these luxurious comforters are right for you, you may want to take a close look at velvet comforters. These comforters provide a sumptuous, warm night's sleep. Just be prepared to have your quilt professionally cleaned if it is made with velvet.

Whichever comforter you choose, you'll be sure to sleep better when you are feeling warm and cozy. <bio>Gray Rollins is a featured writer for ComfortersPro.
Small bathrooms might be those added under a stairway or in a spare closet. They might be for children, adults, or both. A small bathroom might be a guest powder room off the foyer or living room. One thing they have in common is that they are =96 small. Another thing they have in common is that they call for special lighting.

Small bathroom lighting is dependent, in part, on the use of the bathroom. One type of bathroom light fixture might convey a warm, cozy feeling for dinner guests. Another type of bathroom light fixture might make the small bathroom seem spacious =96 or provide light for reading while relaxing in a deep soak tub.

Warm and Cozy Lighting

You can make a small bathroom feel warm and cozy rather than claustrophobic by adding the right light fixtures. Suppose this is a small half-bath meant primarily for guests to "freshen up" before dinner. You've used small-patterned deep red and gold wallpaper for warmth. What kind of light fixtures should this small bathroom have?

Try recessed, can ceiling light fixtures focused on work areas. Or use indirect lighting around the perimeter of the ceiling-wall junction. On either side of the mirror above the sink, add a wall sconce light fixture. Avoid large wall sconces, or those that protrude too far from the wall, as they will make the room look cluttered. Layering these two types of light fixture will give you warm, gracious lighting in a small bathroom for guests.

Bright Enough for Reading

If the small bathroom in your home has a soaking tub, or one used by children, you will want good lighting in the tub area. Most lighting above tubs and showers is diffuse lighting, which is fine for a quick shower or bath. Diffuse lighting is also good over-all lighting to soften the entire bathroom. However, if you want to read =96 or get paint off of a child =96 you may want brighter, more concentrated lighting. Use a focused flood or halogen light fixture on the wall above the tub.

Choose safe, moisture proof light fixtures for this area. "Make sure that your lamps are UL rated for damp locations insuring safety," says Todd Phillips, president of lighting manufacturer Quoizel.

Space Enlarging Lighting

You can never have too much light in a small bathroom, as long as you use it properly. Perhaps the best idea for small bathrooms is to begin with indirect lighting around the ceiling for overall softness and warmness. Then consider these possibilities.

1. If your small bathroom has a window, use light-admitting, sheer curtains at the window. Add a shade that can be drawn for privacy.

2. Light shower or tub with separate wet area light fixtures, strong enough to permit easy personal grooming, but with dimmer switches for atmosphere.

3. On either side of the vanity mirror, use warm fluorescent vertical wall sconces to provide even facial illumination. Place a halogen light above the mirror for cross illumination. Place these mirror surrounding light fixtures on a separate switch.

4. Run a linear light fixture along the vanity toe-space to provide a soft night light.

5. For a family use small bathroom, place a halogen or flood light near the toilet, focused as a good reading light. Install a separate switch.

With all of these light fixtures layered in a small bathroom, you will always have exactly the amount of light you need for any given task. Yet you can make it cozy with dimmer switches, safe with night lights.

Helpful Tip

Small bathroom lighting need not be garish or insufficient. You can have plenty of light or cozy lighting if you layer your light, and control it with separate and/or dimmer switches. <bio>=A92007, Anna Hart. A drive from Cape Town to Greyton will take you approximately ninety minutes when the weather is good and traffic is minimal.

Greyton Lodge is well known in the area for offering warm and charming accommodations. Whether you want to enjoy the in-house Jazz pianist or simply curl up by a warm fire on cool evenings, there are plenty of opportunities to relax at this lodge. Two dining rooms offer ample space for dining and complete an environment that is nothing short of homey and charming.

If you happen to time your trip so that it coincides with a weekend, you will most certainly want to make a stop by the market that takes place on the village green on Saturday mornings. Whether you just want to wander around and browse or a pick up a jar of lemon curd, this is certainly an enjoyable way to spend a morning.

There are also plenty of fine restaurants and cafes located in the local area where you can enjoy a leisurely lunch. From trendy and artsy to cozy and welcoming, there are plenty of different options here to suit your tastes.

Hermanus is another lovely town situated not far from Cape Town. On a good day's drive, Hermanus is about an hour's drive from Greyton and it is certainly a gorgeous drive.

Among the sights that you will want to enjoy once you arrive in Hermanus is the seafront. The old harbor here is quite interesting and offers views that are spectacular.

Dining in Hermanus is also superb as there are numerous restaurants which serve fine meals. If you're looking for a way to work off all of those calories, you can head over to the Hermanus Golf course for a day on the green practicing your swing.

Of course, there is no better way to top off a trip to Hermanus than by paragliding. The local area is known for its paragliding opportunities and with the spectacular views that surround this beautiful region, it is little wonder. Sir Lowry's Pass is one of the better places for paragliding, offering expansive views that look out toward Cape Town over Somerset West. If you have never gone paragliding before, rest assured that you will receive ample instruction that should help you to set aside any case of nerves you might experience. The views that offered as you sail towards the ground and then experience a soft landing are definitely worth the experience.

If you're looking for something a bit different to do than traveling the wine routes during a visit to Cape Town, a visit to Hermanus and Greyton are definitely in order.<bio>We are your source for Cape Town Accommodation, Cape Town Hotels, Knysna Accommodation, and more for your next vacation to the Western Cape.</bio>

Many people I know love eating out at different cafes and restaurants. They love trying out new places almost as much as they love returning to their old favorite spots. They love trying new menu items and discovering new ways to eat the foods they enjoy the most. Eating out can be both a wonderful and very dangerous thing.

In America we are blessed to have restaurants dotting the streets of many streets in towns and cities of all sizes. We are rarely at a loss for places to eat out. One of the greatest things about eating out is that it saves time that many busy people do not have to waste. After spending long hours at our workplaces, few people have the time or energy to return home and cook a gourmet meal. Eating out seems to be a great solution at the end of a long, tiring day.

Eating out can also be great because we can try a wide variety of foods and drinks that we don't have the ability to make ourselves. No one loves eating the same basic foods over and over again, so eating out can be a good way to give our tastebuds something new.

However, if we are not careful, eating out can also be dangerous for a couple of big reasons. First, we must use caution in eating out for the sake of our health. Most restaurants and cafes offer huge portions of items that are unhealthy to eat and drink. Eating out often means filling up on appetizers, a main course, a few high calorie beverages, and a dessert to finish off the evening. Think about how many calories you can consume during a meal like this. I am not, of course, saying that we should never enjoy eating out. I am, however, saying that we need to be careful, for our health's sake, about eating out too frequently. We must be careful to watch our choices when we are eating out. Choose healthier items or commit to only eating half of the meal you choose. There are ways of eating out healthily, it just takes conscience effort.

Another huge reason to be careful about eating out too often is your pocketbook and budget. It is no secret that eating out costs more, on average, that cooking meals in your own home. It is easy to accumulate large bills, especially at nicer places. So be careful that you stick to a budget when you make plans for eating out.

Beware. Eating out can be one of the greatest pleasures or one of the most dangerous things. Enjoy it, but do it with caution. <bio>Denton Krypps has been enjoying eating out with caution ever since he realized the potential dangers of making it a habit.
The beautiful nation of Belgium is strategically placed between France and Germany as a conduit for tourist activity. Many tourists journey through Belgium to experience the natural beauty, culture, and history of the Belgian people. However, vacations can't be all about museums and walking tours. Young couples, groups of friends, and others who want to have some fun in Belgium flock to this country's great casinos. Belgium has eight great casinos spread throughout the country, so that tourists and Belgians alike can have easy access to great games and good company.

The biggest casino in the great country of Belgium is the Casino Knokke in the city of Knokke-Heist. The Casino Knokke has everything a gambler or tourist could want from a casino. As tourists walk up to the casino, they can observe the beautiful modern facade and classic signage that makes this Belgian casino stand out with its subtlety. Once gamblers are in the casino, however, they won't remember the beauty of the outside when they hit 21 on the blackjack table or win money at the slot machines. The 66,000 square foot gaming area of the Casino Knokke is spacious enough for the thousands that come through its doors every day. With 50 gaming machines and 18 table games, there is no shortage of fun to be had by casino goers. When the fun is over and tourists need to grab something to eat, they can sit down at the beautiful restaurants Bis or Mascotte that are attached to the Casino Knokke.

Belgium's casinos typically fit into the mold of smaller, more casual places than that of Casino Knokke. With seven smaller casinos throughout Belgium, tourists should have no problem stopping by and having some fun at poker tables or slot machines. The Casino Blankenberge in Blankenberge is one of the bigger casinos in this group, with 19 gaming and card tables and a cozy environment for the casual gambler. The Casino Chaudfontaine in Chaudfontaine has just more than ten tables, but is located near Belgian nightlife and offers a great place to hang out for Belgians and visitors alike. Other casinos that fit into this comfortable, cozy type of Belgian casino are the Casino de Spa and the Casino de Namur. The casinos in Belgium may not be the same size as those in places like Las Vegas, but they offer a nice distraction and great fun for anyone who comes through their doors. <bio>This article is the property of http://www.belgium-casinos.net </bio>

Most everyone loves to come home to a warm and cozy house at the end of the day but often the beautiful home we envision in our minds is not feasible through our pocketbooks. Does that mean our homes can't be beautiful? Not at all, we just need to use a little more creativity and do a little more homework to get the finished product we can be proud to call home.

When working on a tight budget, the one thing that will give you the most "bang for your buck" is paint. In an instant, paint will add color, personality, and life to any room. It's cheap, easy to apply and will actually change the "feelings" of a room's occupants.

When choosing a paint color, be sure to take into consideration, not only the colors of items that will be staying in the room, but also consider what kind of mood you want to set. Do you want warm cozy colors or fresh, light colors? Color will influence the atmosphere so much that it will impact the mood and emotion taken on by the people who spend time in the room. For example, red is often used in kitchens, dining rooms and restaurants because it piques the appetite. Doing a little research on the internet can help you pick colors and color combos that will work in the room you are decorating.

The next thing that will totally change a room's appearance without spending any money is to change the arrangement of the furniture. Some rooms will lend themselves to multiple arrangements, others will not. Just be sure to consider the functionality of the furniture placement. Simple things like, being sure every sitting area has a table to set a drink on, or being able to move freely through the room are of major importance to ensure the room is comfortable.

Making a change to the floor or windows will have major impact to a room. Adding an area rug to a room or changing the curtains could be all a room needs to give it the "designer look" you want. Remember, these items can be really expensive. Consider checking out garage sales and thrift stores because with a little patience, you may find just what you want without spending much money. Also be aware that these items go on sale and clearance, again, patience could help you save a lot of money. Either way, new or gently used, be sure to watch for good quality and shop around for pricing as where you purchase could make a huge difference in the cost.

The last thing that can really add personality to a room without much cost is adding accessories. Pretty pillows can add a much needed "punch" of color. Vases, candles, picture frames and nick nacks can add sparkle. Art for the walls is a must but doesn't have to be expensive. Pick up old wall art from thrift stores and use the frames for your own art pieces. These frames can be painted, refinished or used "as is" and can make an art piece you painted look like an expensive original. Just be creative.

As you can see, there are many ways to add life and beauty to the living spaces in your home without spending a lot of money. Do a little homework, put on your creative "thinking-cap", use a little patience and get started turning your home into the beautiful and cozy place you've always envisioned. <bio>Reba Collins writes about home decorating at her website, http://www.HomeDecoratingInsight.com.
Decorating a small room is one of the biggest challenges many families have in their homes today. Making a small room work for your loved ones can be frustrating and confusing. Here are some great low budget ways to simply transform your small rooms no matter what your budget!

1. First of all, determine if making your room look larger is really the way to go. After all, what's so great about large rooms? Maybe you want your living room to be comforting, and to wrap people with warmth when they enter. Or your bath to be charming, filled with personality everywhere you look! So don't be so quick to assume bigger is always better...you might just be creating a problem where there is none!

2.Make the most of a small room you wish to make cozy by using warm rich colors. Drape the windows with fabric, and add throw blankets and pillows to cozy up with. You can buy inexpensive muslin and twist and swag it over a curtain rod for a casual but stunning frame to your windows. Buy flat sheets and sew up pillow covers, and make throws from fleece fabric from the craft store. Make your room cozy deliberately, and its special style will show through, not the size of the room.

3. Reduce the clutter in a small room! This is the #1 problem within small spaces, and also the fastest to fix. Take a box and remove all clutter from the room. Move out accessories, pillows, everything! Now bring things back one at a time, and stop when it's perfect. The key here is restraint!

4.Use large scale items in a small room. Now, traditional rules about scale in a room would lead you to believe a small room needs small scale furniture, but the opposite is true. Using just a few larger scale pieces reduces clutter and gives the eye a smoother trip across the room. The same goes for artwork! If you are trying to make a room look larger, go for one large print on the wall, or hang a decorative rug, instead of small collections.

5.A simple tip to make rooms look larger? Keep your windows and slick surfaces sparkling clean! Believe it or not, the reflection of clean will make a room look brighter, fresher and larger. Try it!

6.Paint just one focal wall a rich deep color to add depth to your room. Leave the other walls either white, or a much paler version of your accent wall and those walls will appear to fall away. Also keep in mind that cooler colors such as greens and blues tend to recede from the eye, while warmer colors such as reds and yellows seem to close in a room.

7.Finally, remember to use as many double duty items in the room as possible to reduce clutter. A chest of drawers can hold a tv, and store all your magazines and games, a futon sofa can double as a guest room, and a pine chest makes a great coffee table, while storing extra linens!

Remember, it's not the size of the room, it's the size of the heart who creates the room. Let yours show through with personality and creativity, not cash! About The Author: Kathy Wilson is an author, columnist, and editor of The Budget Decorator. It is a very friendly city with a relatively low crime rate. It is very safe to walk or bike within the beautiful city and explore its attractions. Walking is considered the usual form of travel especially for tourists although some prefer to use bikes. The city attractions in Amsterdam are ideal for those who like to take long leisurely strolls, or jog around for some exercise. It is also considered a very liberal city, with the abundance of cannabis cafes, marijuana legality, and the popularity of the red light district, which are some of the characteristics Amsterdam is best known for.

The travel in the city fuses the best of the old world and the new world. It will not be difficult for tourists to ask around for information, as there are many English speakers in the city. German and French are the other dominant languages spoken in Amsterdam.

Any time of the year is good in going for an ultimate travel, although it is advisable to bring rain gear because it can rain at anytime. July to August is considered peak seasons for travel. It can be quite costly sometimes but most of the prices are inclusive of tax, so you no need to worry about tipping during your travel.

There are many city attractions with museums, restaurants and cafes being high on the list. All sorts of cuisine can be found in Amsterdam, whether you are looking for Greek or Chinese, they have it. During the cold season, grabbing a warm drink in the local pubs is a great way to experience its culture and meet the locals.

There are a number of hotels, motels, and hostels that you could choose from in Amsterdam. Depending on your budget, some bagpackers prefer to stay in abandoned buildings, perfect for travel experience and just pay for electricity and water. Hotels range from old and new, so there is something for everyone, whether you are looking for an authentic ultimate travel stay that is rich in history and traditional to Dutch culture or something newer and more innovative travel.

There are also a number of shops for shopping travelers. Aside from city attractions, there are music, antique, food and cheese, vintage comic and clothing, modern clothing, and souvenir stores. No matter what kind of experience you are looking for in Amsterdam, there is something for you to make your own unique travel truly unforgettable. <bio>Alex J Smith writes for http://www.datravelers.com where travelers can host their own travel blogs, upload photos and find unbiased travel information. </bio>

We want to make sure that the person of honor has a great time and that the party is an occasion to remember. Well, one doesn't always need to rent out a lavish hall to have a grand celebration. Local restaurants can act as a venue that offers a fun, cozy or sophisticated atmosphere for your private affair.

All well and good you say, but how do you go about finding a suitable restaurant venue?

Online search

Believe it or not, the Internet can be your friend when it comes to locating a restaurant that could also serve as a party venue. The beauty of the internet is that there are literally thousands of businesses, many in your area, that will cater to the needs of you and your guests.

The Internet also offers a plethora of advice via a restaurant guide or two that will make shopping for a happening place to hold your event even easier.

After you have made a top five or ten list of places that may be suitable, call and ask if the establishment hosts private functions. If they do, inquire about the costs.

If the place is local (which it probably should be unless you plan to fly guest to the destination) you can visit the restaurant in question. Make sure the person responsible for party planning will be there during your visit, so you can discuss what you'd like for your affair.

Word of mouth

Word of mouth has always been, and perhaps always will be, the best form of advertisement around. This invaluable tool can act as a restaurant guide that will help you locate a prime location for your special occasion.

If someone you know has recently thrown a party, enquire about the venue that was used. Most any business will tell you they are the best of the best, but friends and family and acquaintances won't steer you wrong in this regard.

Booking the right restaurant

Ritzy, high class or five star restaurants will require a pretty sizable deposit for the day in question.

You may also need to discuss some aspect of your budget with the organizer or planner, so you can realistically see what you can or cannot do. Many restaurants will be willing to work with you to ensure you get precisely what you want. In return, you have to be honest and forthcoming about what you can reasonably afford.

Getting Outside entertainment

If the restaurant doesn't have regular entertainment, you may consider getting some of your own. If this is one of your goals, make sure the eatery knows as they will have to accommodate you. For example, a bistro may not have a stage area or dance floor in the establishment and would need to move chairs, tables and furniture around for a band.

If you desire to have a band or some sort of live entertainment, then your best bet is to find a restaurant that is already set up for something like of that nature.

Of course, there may be a café or tavern that the person or persons of honor really likes that would be the perfect spot to host their function.

Yet and still, you would have to call the establishment to see what the protocols are for securing the place for a private event.

Even though it may seem like a lot of work, finding an online restaurant guide or relying on word of mouth is one way to locate a venue that will add a festive air to the proceedings and make you the quintessential host or hostess to beat when the next big event comes around.<bio>Information on Toronto Restaurants including fine dining, bistros and cafes in the Toronto area.
Early coffee houses quickly became an important center for exchange of information, so much so, that they were often referred to as "Schools of the Wise."

The European travelers to the Near East brought back stories of the dark black beverage called "coffee." By the 17th century, coffee was in Europe and continued to become popular across the continent. Some who were against coffee called the beverage "bitter invention of Satan." When coffee reached Venice in 1615, the local clergy condemned it. It started such a stir among the people that Pope Clement VIII was asked to intervene. Before the Pope made his decision, however, he tried the beverage of coffee and found the drink satisfying. He then gave his approval of coffee.

Controversy continued in the major cities of England, Austria, France, Germany and Holland, however, coffee houses also continued and were becoming centers of social activity and communication that a lot of people really enjoyed. There were over 300 coffee houses in London by the mid-17th century. Many of these coffee houses attracted groups of people with common interests such as merchants, shippers, brokers and artists.

Other businesses grew out of these specialized coffee houses, one of which was, "Lloyd's of London. Lloyd's of London was crated at the Edward Lloyd's Coffee House.

Coffee houses began to rapidly appear, however, tea continued to be the favored drink in the New World until 1773. The colonists rebelled against a heavy tax placed on tea by King George. This rebellion turned into what is now known as the Boston Tea Party."

The Boston Tea Party forever changed the American drinking preferences from tea to "coffee."

Today, The National Coffee Association is committed to the well being of the entire coffee industry, which includes coffee companies big and small. In more recent years the NCA strives to provide more valuable benefits to small business members which include:

=95 Micro roasters =95 Small chain =95 Single store coffee cafes =95 Small lot importers or growers

Coffee has become a staple for coffee houses, coffee cafes and restaurants worldwide. Coffee shops and houses still remain a place of relaxation, socialization and entertainment.

Source: The National Coffee Association

This article is FREE to publish with the resource box. <bio>Written by: Connie Limon Visit us at http://smalldogs2.com/CoffeeArticles for an extensive list of FREE reprint coffee articles. </bio>

The summer of 2005, my friend and I decided to apply for a summer program as part of our graduate degree and travel from United States to Europe and specifically to Brugges in Belgium, so as to attend an intensive seminar at The College of Europe on Politics, Policies, Lobbying and the European Union. Although I have never visited Belgium before, I was really excited to discover, while browsing the internet, that I was about to visit one gorgeous and historical city of the "Old Continent," while enhancing my academic knowledge and meeting new people.

Before leaving the US we printed any information we could find regarding the city's tourist locations, interesting cafes and historic buildings. Although Brugges is a very small town, it offers a lot of possibilities to those interested in exploring its excitements. But even if it surpassed our expectations, visiting only one European town or country seemed a waste for such a trip. Thus, we decided in advance to research the opportunities a young graduate student has while traveling around in Europe and the most convenient, cheap and interesting way to go from city to city and country to country was via train. The Eurorail trains are the simpler way people have to visit a variety of European destinations, as boarding a train actually offers to the adventure-seekers the possibility of having an extraordinary trip and admiring the countryside in the meantime.

In fact, upon the completion of the summer program, we packed our bags and traveled from Brussels to Amsterdam. The Netherlands' capital was a combination of beauty and adventure. The city streets, the people walking or bicycling around, the nice weather and its countless river docks create a unique combination of images, which are food for hungry eyes-like ours. Since we had less than 48 hours available to see as much as possible, we decided to pay a visit at the Van Gogh Museum, walk the Red District by night, and of course take the tram to travel through the city and gaze its unbelievable beat.

Next stop was Paris, France. Lucky as we were to find an available and affordable room as soon as we got off the train station, the next thing was to find a map of the city and its incredible metro system and travel around to check everything! Notre Dame, bridges, the Eiffel Tower, the Bastille, Champs-Élysées, small cafes and long walks across the Seine River or through the area of Montmartre, made our stay in Paris unforgettable. In fact, one of the best pictures we got from this trip was in front of the Arc de Triomphe and we took it by ourselves-both faces appear on the frame. Monte Carlo was our next and most expensive destination, but its beaches and sun gave our trip a legendary feel.

Next, we visited Italy. Florence and Venice, two of the most important trade cities in Europe offered us some life-time opportunities. Historical monuments, paved streets, canals, museums, restaurants and Italian cafes convinced us that Italy is actually much more than an interesting destination. In fact, I fall-in-love with almost every single building we crossed and by the time we had to catch our plain back, I though we have made a huge mistake; our eight day trip should have lasted a lifetime. <bio>Jonathon Hardcastle writes articles for http://totallytraveling.net/ - In addition, Jonathon also writes articles for http://4boatingstuff.com/ and http://parorbetter.com/ </bio>

Sometimes people overlook the humble pillow. It looks innocent enough there on the bed doesn't it...?

With the right one under your head and neck, you're sure to wake up fresh and ready to take on the world.

With the wrong pillow though, you'll have neck aches like the ones I used to get where you can barely move your head from one side to the other without some pain. Bad news.

So the right pillow, and also the right sized pillow will make all the difference in your sleep and in your energy level as well.

Lets start with the basics about pillows first.

What position do you normally sleep in..?

This will tell you how substantial, or "lofty" and dense the perfect pillow for you should be so you'll be more comfy and cozy and sleep better then ever!

If you sleep on your back- Then chose a medium loft, denser pillow to fully support your neck and head correctly.

If you sleep on your side like over half of us do- Then go for a more firm and substantial pillow so that your spine is actually aligned for the most comfortable sleep possible.

And if you sleep on your stomach- Then go for a thinner, softer pillow. This will help you avoid positions that really put lots or stress on your spine, which can lead to back and neck pain.

I learned this the hard way when my back would be really sore and pop back out of place after constantly using a pillow that was way too thick for my sleeping position.

Another thing to consider is the type of fill you'd prefer.

In addition to knowing about the thickness and density of your new favorite pillow, you'll want to figure out whether you want natural or synthetic filler material.

Among the most popular natural pillow fillers are:

Feather or down Cotton Wool

These tend to be among my favorite pillows- especially the tried and true feather and down pillow. They're generally more comfortable to have next to your face, and they don't hold onto moisture or odors as easily as other options, and from my point of view they're just softer, more cozy and inviting.

Among the most popular synthetic pillows and fillers are:

Foam latex Polyester

The foam latex pillows vary greatly in design, density and quality, so please do some more reading up on these options cause there's a lot to know if you're considering them.

If you're looking for a really economical pillow option then a synthetic pillow like polyester may be just right for you. These won't last very long and may get lumpy and bumpy after several months. You may also want to avoid these types of pillows if you're allergic or just a bit sensitive because they tend to have a bit of an odor for awhile and can even emit gases from the manufacturing process.

I hope you've enjoyed this little guide on pillows and what to look for before buying your next one. <bio>Pat Bowlin shares hundreds of useful tips and ideas for all of your bedding needs so you can create the perfect bedroom retreat right there in your home!
If you have a guest room in your home, why not make it a place that people will feel welcome and comfortable? There are easy ways to turn your guest room into a space that lets your guests know that you care about them, and that you're glad they are visiting! Here are some tips to help you create an inviting guest room.

1. Storage

When a guest comes to stay, one thing that can make for an uncomfortable visit is not having any place to store the items they brought with them. In addition to closet space, your guest room should include a dresser that is empty. Even if your guest is only staying a day or two, and needs only one or two drawers, if you have items in some of the drawers in the guest room, he may feel uncomfortable storing his things there. Also, hang some wall shelves, so that guests will have a handy spot to place their keys, wallet, books and other items.

2. Books

Have a large variety of books and magazines available for your guest to enjoy once he has retired to his room. Have wall shelves full of books in several genres as well as a magazine rack with several current issues. This will add to the homey feel of the room, and help your guest relax before going to sleep.

3. Mirrors

Even if your guest will have his own bathroom during his stay, the guest room should still have at least one mirror. Hang a beautiful decorative mirror and you'll have style and function. Also, if the room is on the small side, hanging a mirror will help the room feel larger.

4. Cozy Bedding

Nothing will help your guest feel more at home than finding soft, fluffy, cozy bedding when he retires for the night. Choose cotton sheets with a high thread count and plump pillows. Add a luxurious comforter, and your guest may never want to leave!

5. D=E9cor

Some people neglect the task of decorating their guest room. Instead, they simply place a bed and a dresser in the room and consider it complete. But, when your guests come to stay don't you want them to have a room that is as lovely as the other rooms in your home? The d=E9cor should be simple, so that the room can maintain an open feel, but simple can also be beautiful. Paint the walls in soft, neutral tones and hang curtains that can block the light in case your guest needs a nap during the day. Hang wall shelves for storage, mirrors and a clock in case your guest forgot his watch. If there is room, consider adding a television and/or stereo, so that your guest will feel free to watch or listen to what they please during their stay.

If you like to entertain overnight guests, the guest room may be one of the most important rooms in your house. With just a little extra attention, this room can go from "blah" to "wow"! <bio>Jessica Ackerman is the head author at http://www.walldecorandhomeaccents.com </bio>

Prague is ideal for a weekend break or a longer vacation. This amazing city, which is the capital of the Czech Republic, has so much to offer its visitors. It's no wonder why people keep returning to this popular European destination.

What's more, the area has a great selection of holiday property rentals, too, so it's a perfect location to take a self catering break for all the family.

If you only have a weekend to spend in this beautiful city, there are a number of places you should try to see during your visit. If you are lucky enough to have extra time to spend here, you will hopefully get the opportunity to visit at least some of them during your stay in the city.

There's the Prague Jewish Quarter, Prague Television Tower, Old Town Bridge Tower, Prague State Opera House, Mucha Museum, Petrin Hill and Observation Tower, Prague Lesser Town and much more!

Because there is so much to see in Prague, one of the best ways of exploring the city (particularly if it is your first visit and you don't want to miss the best bits) is to take one of the many tours available in the city. There are lots of different tours which you can join, depending on what you want to see and how much time you have to spend.

The touring and sightseeing can, of course, get tiring, so you will want to take regular breaks to rest your weary feet, relax and enjoy some of the delicious cuisine that this amazing city has to offer.

There is a good selection of restaurants, pubs, bars, cafes etc to check out during your stay. Whatever your taste in food, whether it's Czech, Italian, French, Asian, Indian or Vegetarian, you should be able to find it in Prague.

If you are planning a self catering break in Prague, you will also want to stock up on supplies for your holiday property rental. The city has a number of supermarkets where you can shop for your grocery needs during your stay, so you also have the option to cook and eat at your holiday home if you prefer.

Prague is a city that appeals to all ages.
