If can affect you while out with friends, while <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/giving+a+presentation" rel="tag">giving a presentation</a> and while meeting new people, to name but a few. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/confidence+issues" rel="tag">Confidence issues</a> can be brought about for many different reasons and over time they become so common place that we just expect them to happen. If you are dealing with confidence issues at the moment you will understand just how it can affect your life and sometimes even stop you from doing things that you really want to. Some people allow it so affect them in getting a promotion or meeting new people do. I have met people that still haven't found a husband or wife in their 40's as they say that they are just too shy. I have put together a list of some of the tips that I give to my clients to help them regain their confidence. <br /><br /> 1. Surround yourself with positivity=85 Positive, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/enthusiastic" rel="tag">enthusiastic</a> and passionate people are contagious. Surround yourself with them and allow their confidence to brush off on you. By being around positive people we will learn how they confidently deal with things in their life that would throw us off course. <br /><br /> 2. Create a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/new+image" rel="tag">new image</a>=85 This is a fantastic tip that will leave you feeling great. Go out and get a whole new image that oozes with confidence, new clothes, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/new+hairstyle" rel="tag">new hairstyle</a> or better posture. When you have this new image you can act up to it with confidence and allow the new you to be born. <br /><br /> 3. Watch what you say to yourself=85 We all talk to ourselves as we think about things. We say things like, `Oh I can't afford that!' This type of inner talk can be quite negative as it closes our mind to finding a solution. Instead saying something like, `How could I afford that', allows you to use your brain for thinking and ultimately finding a solution. <br /><br /> 4. Make a change=85 Move career, house or make new friends. If you find that an element of your life is causing you lack if confidence =96 change it! Remember though that you set the limit on what is impossible, so open up your mind and consciously decide what you can and can't do rather that just relying on your emotions to make these decisions for you. <br /><br /> I hope that you put this small collection of tips to good use and get the confidence that you deserve and desire. In fact hundreds of leading personalities and even world leaders at one time suffered at the hands of a lack of self confidence. Most people think self-confidence is a result of success, but it's actually an ingredient of success. How do you gain self-confidence so you can attract the success you seek? <br /><br /> 1. Fake it! <br /><br /> Though it sounds ridiculous, faking confidence when you have none will actually give you some! Self-confidence is a perception held by you and others. If you act self-confident whether you feel it or not, others will perceive you as self-confident and be more willing to follow your lead, take you seriously and listen to what you have to say. It's the great paradox where confidence is concerned, almost a "which comes first, the chicken or the egg" situation. Have a little faith in yourself and soon you won't have to fake it anymore. <br /><br /> 2. Take risks. <br /><br /> There's no need to fake confidence if you live each day like the day before. All of that is known territory =96 you've been there, done that. The most direct route to self-confidence is to take calculated risks and examine your results. Will you make mistakes? Absolutely, but those mistakes contribute as much to growing your self-confidence as your victories, particularly if you resist the urge to use them to beat yourself up. No one gets it right every single time and to require that from yourself is self-sabotage at its best. Start with small steps outside of your comfort zone and build your confidence step by step. <br /><br /> 3. Stop doubting yourself by default. <br /><br /> We all have that little voice of doubt inside our heads. The trick is to learn when to pay attention to it and when to ignore it. I am a firm believer in "following your gut" and I've had to learn the difference between intuition and self-doubt. For me, what works best is to listen to what that doubting voice is actually saying. If its message is mainly lack of belief in your ability or your deservedness, then ignore it and forge ahead. As you gain self-confidence, you'll hear from that little voice of doubt less and less often. <br /><br /> The dictionary defines self-confidence as confidence in oneself and in one's powers and abilities without any suggestion of conceit or arrogance.     <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Our society is in some ways becoming increasingly isolated and individualised, leading to less worthwhile <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/personal+connectivity" rel="tag">personal connectivity</a> between us humans. In some cases this is not always a bad thing; however the decreased amount of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/human+interaction" rel="tag">human interaction</a> could be a potential problem over time. It is my opinion that we are already seeing the effects of this in the west. With a decrease in interaction with other humans from many different back grounds we run the treat of losing some of our most valuable communication skills and in a lot of cases, don't even build the experiences to acquire them in the first place. <br /><br /> So, what happens if we lose out on life experiences and building the skills that they can help up to attain? Well with a reduced amount of human interaction and lack of constructive communication we can feel self conscious when we are put into certain situations when we are older. As a hypnotherapist I help a large amount of people with things such as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/social+confidence" rel="tag">social confidence</a> or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/social+phobia" rel="tag">social phobia</a>. Nearly always it is presented to me by the client that they feel that they just don't fit in, that their opinion just doesn't count and that they wish just to remain in the background =96 well at least until we have successfully treated them. This is quite a common situation and something that I help clients with on a daily basis. <br /><br /> So, a lack of communication and human connectivity or interaction can lead to confidence and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/self+esteem+problems" rel="tag">self esteem problems</a>. If this is the case for you, what can you do about it? You can boost your confidence in many ways; however it is always best to consider the most effective root, so that you can resolve the issue as soon as possible. Think about where you notice your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lack+of+confidence" rel="tag">lack of confidence</a>, as it almost certainly will not affect you all of the time. There may be some friends that you feel fine with and it may be just meeting new people. You might experience <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/confidence+issues" rel="tag">confidence issues</a> at work or while playing sports. Once you know where a lack of confidence or low self esteem is going to rear its ugly head you are better placed to deal with it successfully. <br /><br /> Once I have helped a client to do this I generally use hypnosis and self hypnosis to tackle these areas specifically, and assist the client to gain confidence just where they know that it will be needed. If this seems to be a problem for you, there are some things that you can do which will help you to overcome it. It is important for you to understand, however, that this type of problem is not going to be something that is cured overnight. As a matter of fact, it may take many months or perhaps even years of persistence on your part in order for you to totally erase your lack of self-esteem.<br><br>The first step in learning <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/how+to+have+confidence" rel="tag">how to have confidence</a> in yourself is that you need to be able to see yourself as you actually are. Believe it or not, many of the people who deal with a lack of self-confidence are individuals that others enjoy being around. If you were to ask them honestly, one of the only problems that they may have with you is the fact that you do not have enough confidence in yourself. Try to be objective whenever you're looking at yourself and your activities. You might be surprised to find out that people do not view you in the same way as you view yourself. There are many self-help books that are available which will walk you through a number of different processes in order to boost your confidence. Some of these will deal with specific problems that you may have and that may be at the root of your lack of self-confidence. By seeing these different things through other people's eyes, you may actually be able to recognize that the root of the problem is not worthy of a lack of self-confidence on your part. You might have always wanted to get up on stage, or to be a professional singer or actor for example. Perhaps your life dream is to travel the world, visit different countries or cities, but you don't have the self confidence to do it.
