<content:encoded><![CDATA[It's not news to anyone that college costs are skyrocketing. The average cost of one year at a private <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+or+university" rel="tag">college or university</a> has risen to a shocking $31,465. It's no wonder that parents and students look at that number and wonder whether a college degree is in their reach at all. However, many families overlook the tremendous costs savings that could be achieved by attending a community college for two years. Tuition at community college is typically half that of a public institution and just one-tenth that of a private institution. <br /><br /> For many years, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/community+colleges" rel="tag">community colleges</a> fought the image that they were the last resort for students who couldn't get in anywhere else and that their programs were not as challenging or comprehensive and those at larger colleges universities. Today, however, community colleges are thriving centers that not only provide state-of-the-art career education, but also provide a high-quality educational foundation for students who wish to transfer to a college or university after two years. <br /><br /> Because most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a>, regardless of size, require students to take <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/core+courses" rel="tag">core courses</a> in their first two years before choosing a major, taking these courses at the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/community+college+level" rel="tag">community college level</a> will save money. Additionally, core courses at the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/university+level" rel="tag">university level</a> are often held in large lecture halls with hundreds of students. At community colleges, class sizes rarely exceed 30 students. So, paradoxically, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/community+college+students" rel="tag">community college students</a> receive more individualized attention yet pay much less for that privilege. <br /><br /> Instructors at the community college level are required to hold a Master's degree in their instructional area. Some have pointed to this as evidence that community colleges cannot provide the same quality of instruction as colleges and universities that employ professors with Doctoral degrees. However, very few of those professors actually teach the core courses that students take during their first two years of college. Additionally, community college instructors often have real-world employment experience that gives them a more practical perspective than university professors, who are immersed in the world of academia. <br /><br /> Transferring to a larger institution at the end of two years at community college is often easier than being admitted as a Freshman. Also, many states guarantee admission to their state colleges and universities to community college graduates who maintain a certain grade point average. Even prestigious Ivy League colleges like Harvard, Yale and Brown have accepted transfer students from community colleges. <bio>Kadence Buchanan writes articles for <a href="http://4-edu.net/" >http://4-edu.net/</a> - In addition, Kadence also writes articles for <a href="http://worldof-science.com/" >http://worldof-science.com/</a> and <a href="http://yourworkexpert.com/" >http://yourworkexpert.com/</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[If you have just graduated from high school or have been thinking of going back to college to finish your course but have no financial resources, then, you must consider applying for a college scholarship. So if you don't know where to go, here re the places and ways to look into: <br /><br /> The Internet <br /><br /> The internet has something for everyone. Even for you for those who need help to finance their college education. In the internet, there are sites that offer <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+scholarships" rel="tag">college scholarships</a>. These sites are either your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/local+government" rel="tag">local government</a>, College or University itself, some non-government institutions, or a collective people who gathers finances to help someone like you. The internet also has some helpful articles to make your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+scholarship+application" rel="tag">college scholarship application</a> easier and make the scholarship grant closer to your hand. <br /><br /> The High School Academic <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/guidance+counselor" rel="tag">Guidance Counselor</a> <br /><br /> Before the end of the school term, most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a> contact or go to high both public and private schools to offer scholarships for graduating students. Usually, the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/academic+guidance" rel="tag">academic guidance</a> counselor takes hold of the application forms. All you have to do is to approach the office and ask for scholarship forms. <br /><br /> Colleges and Universities <br /><br /> If you excel in athletics, academics, art, and stage, colleges and universities give you special scholarships. Inquiring for this would be a good way to start. Most of the times though, these types of college scholarships are either automatically given to a certain students or selected through a roster of students. <br /><br /> Or, if you are not that athletic or not that excellent in academics, colleges and universities provide financial aids. These aids will slash off some percentage of the total price you have to pay for the year. Both the financial aid and scholarship will continue provided that you can maintain a certain average. <br /><br /> The Local Government <br /><br /> One of the best <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+scholarship+grants" rel="tag">college scholarship grants</a> that are both reliable and efficient is from the local government. Since local governments allocate funds for financing a certain number of students in a year, it is almost assured that you get one of the slots. Added to this, a government scholar has the privilege to immediately land a job after graduation. And this usually comes with the scholarship contract. <br /><br /> Institutions and Corporations <br /><br /> There are institutions and corporations that offer scholarships for students with both academic skills and financial problems. Look into this. Search of institutions and corporations that offer scholarships you can apply for. <bio>For more information on scholarship and other useful information, please visit <a href="http://scholarship.articlekeep.com.This" >http://scholarship.articlekeep.com.This</a> content is provided by Low Jeremy. <content:encoded><![CDATA[If we are going to categorize the kinds of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+scholarship" rel="tag">college scholarship</a> programs available today, we can only sum they up into 2: college <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/scholarship+programs" rel="tag">scholarship programs</a> that are given by <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a> and college scholarship programs that are given by institutions or groups. <br /><br /> College Scholarship Programs from Colleges and Universities <br /><br /> There are 3 common types of college scholarship programs given by colleges and universities: <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/academic+scholarship" rel="tag">Academic scholarship</a> <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/athletic+scholarship" rel="tag">Athletic scholarship</a> <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/departmental+scholarship" rel="tag">Departmental scholarship</a> <br /><br /> Academic scholarship is probably the most popular type of scholarship given by schools. This type of scholarship are given to students who either have performed well during their high school or have applied and passed for academic scholarship. <br /><br /> Athletic scholarship, another popular type of scholarship is given to those with exceptional talents in sports. But, this type of scholarship is not limited to athletes. There are students who are artists and stage performers. They can acquire this type of scholarship as well. Some schools have other names given to this. <br /><br /> Departmental scholarship is another type of college scholarship given by colleges and universities. This has two purposes: to attract students to enroll at the department and to keep good students from transferring to another department <br /><br /> College Scholarship Programs from institutions or groups. <br /><br /> Meanwhile, there are other scholarships given by institutions and other cause oriented groups. These are: <br /><br /> Corporations <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/religious+groups" rel="tag">Religious groups</a> Unions Associations Individuals Employers <br /><br /> Some corporations provide free college education to those who pass their requirements. Usually, corporations that offer scholarship programs are those who are willing to employ their scholars to work with them after they finish their degree. <br /><br /> Religious groups have been very active in giving their underprivileged members the chance to study and finish college education. These religious groups have funds allocated to their scholars. <br /><br /> Unions can provide college scholarships to the children of their members. <br /><br /> If you browse the internet and look for scholarship providers, you can find that there are sites that focus on giving students their chance to study for free. They are associations that exist to do this purpose. <br /><br /> Many individuals are opening their doors to those students who want to study and finish a degree. These individuals could be found online or offline. They could be one of your neighbors. They could be persons that could be found on the internet that solicit money from other individuals and then give the donations to students in need. <bio>This content is provided by Low Jeremy. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Finding good community colleges in Arizona can be quite a challenge. When I first started taking courses working towards my Associates from <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/arizona+community+colleges" rel="tag"><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/arizona+community+college" rel="tag">Arizona community college</a>s</a>, I was quite disappointed. At all of the Arizona community colleges that I tried, it was like the professors were not even there. Neither were the students for that matter. Everyone in my Arizona community colleges courses just seemed to remind me of lazy jellyfish in the sea, just drifting along, only studying enough to pass the test with a medium grade, and go on to the next class. They were extreme slackers. <br /><br /> I can not figure out for the life of me what any of these people were planning to do at all. Did they think that this attitude that let them just drift by in Arizona community colleges would lead them to succeed in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/arizona+universities" rel="tag">Arizona universities</a>? And if they were not even planning on going on to a 4 year undergraduate program, why would they enroll in their Arizona <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/community+college+courses" rel="tag">community college courses</a> at all? Someone would only do that when he or she they wanted to enjoy the class and really put some efforts into it. <br /><br /> My experience with Arizona community colleges was so terrible that for a while, I took online college programs. I sort of felt bad for myself for dropping my classes in Arizona community colleges, but I did not see any other alternatives. I did not want to hang around with bad students who did not really even want to be in the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/community+college+classes" rel="tag">community college classes</a> that they were taking. <br /><br /> With the online college courses, at least I could study by myself and not worry about the other people annoying me all of the time. It is hard to understand how much bad students in Arizona community colleges can really put their toll on you if you are compelled to spend hours with them every single week. I know this might sound <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/snobbish" rel="tag">snobbish</a>, but it is really true, no joke. <br /><br /> Once I started taking my <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+degree+programs" rel="tag">online degree programs</a>, though, things started picking up almost right away. It was so exciting and relieving to think that I could earn a degree without even setting foot in any of those traumatizing Arizona community colleges again, that I just got completely psyched up for it. Although I think that it still might be better to work in person with a teacher, online degree programs have the great advantage. They let you work for your own degree on your own time and schedule, at your own pace. And that is not something that you should take lightly. <bio><a href="http://www.just-arts-and-all.com" >http://www.just-arts-and-all.com</a> provides the latest news, reviews, articles and write-ups on all the arts and humanities <a href="http://www.hobbyguidezone.com" >http://www.hobbyguidezone.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[The most important part of the college selection process is the initial identification of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a> which are most appropriate for you. Soliciting recommendations from your school counselor is a good starting point, but there are many other valuable resources you should utilize. <br /><br /> Most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/guidance+offices" rel="tag">guidance offices</a> and public libraries have a collection of "generic" college guides with general information about individual colleges and helpful indexes enabling readers to quickly locate colleges offering particular majors, programs, and/or activities of interest. In addition, guidance offices and libraries are frequently well stocked with college catalogues, college viewbooks, and videos. Spend some time reviewing them. <br /><br /> There is even more, easier to access information on the internet. One of my websites (<a href="<a href="http://www.college-scholarships.com">http://www.college-scholarships.com</a>"><a href="http://www.college-scholarships.com">http://www.college-scholarships.com</a></a>), for instance, includes a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/list+of+colleges" rel="tag">list of colleges</a> by state with links to their websites and online applications, their toll free telephone numbers and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/email" rel="tag">email</a> addresses, and more than thirty free online scholarship searches. Other sites let you search for colleges by major, location, and other criteria. <br /><br /> There are a number of magazines and college guides which "rank" colleges. Check them out, but do so with a grain of salt, as most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/knowledgeable" rel="tag">knowledgeable</a> educators consider their rankings and or evaluative methodology to be suspect. <br /><br /> In addition, there are at least a half dozen free publications which are mailed directly to students or distributed to guidance offices. While such magazines may be helpful in introducing you to colleges, bear in mind that they are supported by the colleges described therein, and even those that appear to "articles" about colleges are generally, in reality, advertisements written by the colleges or agencies compensated by them. <br /><br /> When you take the SAT or ACT - and I suggest you take them both as a high school junior - you will be asked questions about your high school grades and academic interests. If you indicate your willingness to allow the testing agency to release your name and address to colleges interested in students with your profile, you will probably receive a good deal of mail from colleges. Although there are no guarantees, particularly from the most highly select colleges, your chances of being admitted to the colleges which initiate contact with you tend to range from good to excellent. Students who review only the information sent to them by colleges with which they are already familiar miss an excellent potential opportunity to learn about institutions which may be a good "fit" for them. <br /><br /> Similarly, if you meet only with college admissions counselors (at your high school and at college fairs) from colleges and universities already on your list, you might miss out on some great colleges. <bio>Dan Rosenfield is a university dean who creates websites on college admission, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+scholarships" rel="tag">college scholarships</a>, and online degrees and distance education, including <a href="<a href="http://www.college-scholarships.com">http://www.college-scholarships.com</a>"><a href="http://www.college-scholarships.com">http://www.college-scholarships.com</a></a> and <a href="http://www.online-degrees-and-scholarships.com">http://www.online-degrees-and-scholarships.com</a>, and <a href="http://www.guaranteed-scholarships.com">http://www.guaranteed-scholarships.com</a> in his spare time. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ The advancement of technology has opened up a lot of new opportunities for people all over the world. In the field of education, many top <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a> in the country today has opened their doors to students who want to study online. Many of these colleges and universities are now offering <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/accredited+online+college" rel="tag">accredited online college</a> degree to students from all over the world. One still needs to go through the usual application and student selection process of these top colleges and universities to be able to enroll in their <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/accredited+online+college+degrees" rel="tag">accredited <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+college+degree" rel="tag">online college degree</a>s</a>. However. the fact that one can now study in the comforts of his or her home is already a huge advantage. This is especially true for students who are living in far away areas and could afford to relocate near the college or university. <br /><br /> If you are accepted to an accredited online college degree of a college or university in the country, you are eligible to apply for study grants and financial assistance. Note that just because you are studying online does not mean that you are not considered as a regular student of the college or university so you can still make use of whatever study grants and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/student+financial+assistance" rel="tag">student financial assistance</a> available. Since most colleges and universities now offer online applications for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/student+grants" rel="tag">student grants</a> and financial assistance, you do not need to visit the campus to apply for these student assistance programs. All you need to do is go online and log-in to the college or university's website and go to the page for student financial assistance. Use your student number to apply for student grants and financial assistance. Your application will now be processed by the college and university. <br /><br /> Since you are enrolled in accredited online college degree program of the college or university, the amount of financial assistance that you can get may vary from the assistance given to students who are studying in campus. In most cases, students that are enrolled in accredited online college degree programs get a fraction of the financial assistance given to students who are studying in campus. The reason behind the diminution in the amount of assistance that you can get is that since you are not living and studying in campus, you are supposed to incur lesser amount of expenses compared to those students that are living and studying in campus. However, the good news is that you will still enjoy the same rate of interest and payment schemes for student loans enjoyed by those students who are living and studying on campus. <br /><br /> For Information Contract,Telecommuting and Part time Jobs in India Visit <a href="http://www.bharathcontractjobs.com/index.php" >http://www.bharathcontractjobs.com/index.php</a> <bio>James Gunaseelan Wrties for India's No.1 Contract Job Portal<br /><br /><a href="http://www.bharathcontractjobs.com/ind" >http://www.bharathcontractjobs.com/ind</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Considering an online degree? You are on the right track. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+degree+programs" rel="tag">Online degree programs</a> are becoming increasingly popular these days. An online degree is can be pursued by students and working people from the comfort of their home and at a time convenient to them. Online degree programs, online certificate programs, and online courses offered by traditional and online colleges and universities have no <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/geographical+limitations" rel="tag">geographical limitations</a> as anyone who has access to Internet can pursue them. <br /><br /> Online degrees are popular among students who cannot attain regular classes for several reasons such as distance or other commitments. It also gives the students the extra time to do a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/part+time+job" rel="tag">part time job</a>, which gives them <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/organizational+experience" rel="tag">organizational experience</a> as well as extra pocket money. Moreover, in states such as Alaska where traveling or commuting to college especially during the winter is a harsh thing to do, pursuing a degree online is a viable option. Another advantage of online education is that it is less expensive than a normal degree. <br /><br /> It is not only the students who gain from online education but also professionals who find them convenient. At some point of time in their careers, professionals require a college degree to refurbish their skills and give them a competitive advantage over their peers. Many undertake such degrees so as to climb the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/career+ladder" rel="tag">career ladder</a>, expand their earning potential. But since employed people cannot afford time to earn a degree, distance learning through an online university is the most feasible alternative. In the US there are many such online colleges and online universities offering online degree programs. The advantage of college online is that it enables you to learn at your own pace and at a time convenient to you. An online education degree can be earned even if you are living in some other states. So it is more flexible and can be pursued by all who have the will to succeed. <br /><br /> Whether you seek online associates, bachelors, masters, or PhD degree in business, technology, health care, or education, online colleges in the US will not disappoint you. There are many choices and it is up to you to decide which one you pursue.<br /><br /><br /><br /> There are several accredited online colleges in the US which award Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral Degrees. More than 96 percent of the largest colleges and universities in the U.S offer such online courses. But one word of caution here =96 you must check the accreditation of online colleges by going to the U.S. Department of Education database. Like any other college students, students attending online colleges can also apply for financial aid from the Federal Government provided the courses are a part of an associate's, bachelor's or graduate degree program. <br /><br /> You must take note that some of the online colleges offer diplomas on a fraudulent basis. These online colleges may offer you many attractive offers such a very nominal fee and no course work structure. Even if online colleges claim to be accredited, you must check if they are accredited by an unrecognized accrediting agency. <br /><br /> However, there are credible online colleges that are not accredited. Such colleges often offer certificate programs. Certificate programs are highly specialized that teach specific skills. They vary in length and may require less than two years of study. <bio>Manu Goel writes for <a href="http://KeyDegree.com" >http://KeyDegree.com</a>. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Low cost <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/student+health+insurance" rel="tag">student health insurance</a> should be a concern of all students. College and university students come in all shapes and sizes, meaning, while one student may have his or her parents' <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+plan" rel="tag">health insurance plan</a> to fall back on, another student may not. While one student may be able to use his or her spouses' <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/health+insurance+policy" rel="tag">health insurance policy</a>, another student may not be married. In other words, each student has his or her own situation, but one fact remains universal: all students need low cost health insurance. <br /><br /> Thanks to some colleges and universities, getting low cost student health insurance isn't a problem. There are colleges and universities that offer <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/affordable+health+care" rel="tag">affordable health care</a> to their students. If your college or university offers health care benefits, there is certain further information you need =96 aside from the cost =96 to determine whether or not the health care is actually low cost. <br /><br /> Ask the following questions: <br /><br /> 1. What medical services are offered? Does the health care plan cover only <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colds+and+flu" rel="tag">colds and flu</a> cases, or can you receive treatment for other health issues? <br /><br /> 2. Are pre-existing health conditions covered? If you have a pre-existing health condition, you may need to seek health care for that condition elsewhere. <br /><br /> 3. Am I required to seek care from a specific medical professional? Many colleges and universities have a few, or several, doctors they contract to provide students with medical attention. Find out who these doctors are and whether or not you're comfortable seeing them. <br /><br /> 4. Are prescription medications covered? Whether you are currently taking prescription medications, or may be prescribed medication upon a future visit to the doctor, could mean additional money out of your pocket if the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/student+health+care" rel="tag">student health care</a> plan doesn't cover medicine. <br /><br /> 5. What happens if I need to visit the emergency room? We all know that health problems can arise out of no where, and we all know that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/emergency+room+visits" rel="tag">emergency room visits</a> can be expensive. <bio>My recommended sites here: <a href="http://www.easymedinsurance.com" >http://www.easymedinsurance.com</a> Affordable Student Health Insurance Quotes <a href="http://www.saveitmonthly.com" >http://www.saveitmonthly.com</a> Free Instant Health Insurance Quotes Online </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[To decide what kind of college may best meet your needs and requirements there are lots of things to think about. Listed are some factors that you will have to think in determining where you would like to go to the college.<br><br>Organization- College or University, Private or Public, or Church sponsored. Colleges are either public or private. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/public+colleges" rel="tag">Public colleges</a> are one that is supported by state where they are situated. Many extremely ranked <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+in+united+states" rel="tag">colleges in United States</a> are the state-supported organizations. These colleges often provide excellent education at the price for in-state resident, which is lesser than similar <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/private+colleges" rel="tag">private colleges</a>. At early steps of your study, I would hearten you to think both private and public colleges.<br><br>Whereas private colleges often cost little more than the comparable state organizations, they often have monetary means to give generous need based or the scholarship based financial help. This help will make cost of the private college same or else less than attending the state college.<br><br>More choosy private universities and colleges have got religious association. The amount of spiritual control varies. But at beginning of the college search, we encourage you to examine all the private colleges, irrespective of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/religious+affiliation" rel="tag">religious affiliation</a>.<br><br>Educational- what courses and majors you are looking for?<br><br>Most important cause for going to the college is getting education. The kind of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/academic+atmosphere" rel="tag">academic atmosphere</a> and range of courses studied is significant factor to consider when choosing the college. Be cautious, however, of selecting the college based exclusively on it having particular major or else field of study. Investigation shows that about 90% of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+graduates" rel="tag">college graduates</a> don't major in field of study that they initially had intended. This occurs for some reasons.<br><br>First, majority of the colleges have got majors in the subjects that you have never studied before like political science and anthropology. Next, as you get experience and maturity in the college, then your interests might change. Take some time to discover your choices and be sensible about your gifts. Make sure to follow a route of study, which is a genuine attention to you, not only one you imagine might lead to good career.<br><br>If you are having strong interest in particular area, like science, then it is vital to evaluate college's services and offerings in those particular areas to ensure they have sufficient resources. Keep in mind that lots of smaller colleges might not present majors in some professional fields, like business, engineering, and physical therapy. And if you are some of specific field of the study, make sure that colleges and universities you think offer major.<br><br>Do not exclude smaller college, but just because you think, sources might be inadequate. Keep in mind that all the resources of college are obtainable to the undergraduate students while at the large university; lots of specialized equipment may be reserved for the graduate students only. A few of biggest producers of the PhD's in the country are some small colleges.<br><br>All colleges are created different. Make sure you do your research because if a college is cheap, it may be cheap for a reason. Going to school is one of the most important stepping stones in your life. Make sure you do your work.<bio>Find great articles like these and more of Tom's work all on his <a href="http://www.findcollegecards.com/blog">college blog</a>.</bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Educational professionals and employers have long challenged the credibility of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+college+degrees" rel="tag"><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+college+degree" rel="tag">online college degree</a>s</a>. Traditionalists are quick to dismiss them as easy, widely fuelling the belief that online college degrees are worthless. Employers, as a result, have jumped on the bandwagon and have been known to reject potential employees on the strength of it, stating that they do not meet the specified criteria. However, accredited online <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a> have been fighting this perspective with a degree of success and guidelines have been published so that individuals can distinguish between credible online college degrees and their bogus equivalents. Here is a quick guide on what to look out for. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/accredited+colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">Accredited Colleges And Universities</a> =96 The safest way of ensuring that your online college degree will be taken into account when you apply for jobs is by choosing to take one with a well-known university that is established offline. The University Of Carolina or Stanford University are just two that are established universities offering online college degrees. If you present a degree from <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/accredited+online+colleges" rel="tag">accredited online colleges</a> and universities that already provide excellent educational courses then it will undoubtedly be taken into considerations. Although accredited online colleges and universities that operate solely on the Internet may be legitimate, employers may dismiss your degree as being fake on the basis that they <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/have+never+heard" rel="tag">have never heard</a> of them. For more info see <a href="http://www.onlineuniversitydegreehelp.com/Online_Nursing_Degrees/Online_Uni" >http://www.onlineuniversitydegreehelp.com/Online_Nursing_Degrees/Online_Uni</a>= versity_Medical_Degree.php on Online University Medical Degree. <br /><br /> Check Accreditation =96 Never apply for an online college degree whose provider does not display its credentials online for all prospective students to view. Some "accredited" online colleges and universities, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/belford+university" rel="tag">Belford University</a> to name but one, have been known to make up fake agencies and in effect accredit themselves so their online college degrees are absolutely worthless in the real world. This is the type of scam that gives legitimate online college degrees a bad reputation. If you can see the agency that accredited the college then you can research it to see whether it actually exists, in some cases, or is a legitimate authority. Long established agencies are more likely to be legitimate than others. <br /><br /> Online Verification =96 If your online college degree is accredited, it will be listed at the US Department of Education. Accredited online college and university programs are placed on the list if they are legitimate and thus the Department of Education will have effectively done your research for you. If the online college degree that you are considering is not on that list then be wary because it is a very expensive chance that you will be taking. Placement on the list also gives you a ready answer if a potential employer ever questions you about the legitimacy of an online college degree. <br /><br /> There are so many bogus online college degree companies that will churn out your piece of paper at a moments notice that it is no wonder that employers are sceptical. Whilst offering individuals a program that would have otherwise been unavailable to them, the increasing popularity of online courses has opened the floodgates to conmen and people who are out to make a quick buck. Be careful, it is your future that will be affected by your decision after all. <bio>You can also find more info on <a href="http://www.onlineuniversitydegreehelp.com/" >http://www.onlineuniversitydegreehelp.com/</a> on online university degree and <a href="http://www.onlineuniversitydegreehelp.com/Benefits_Of_Online_Education/" >http://www.onlineuniversitydegreehelp.com/Benefits_Of_Online_Education/</a> on Benefits Of Online Education. <a href="http://Onlineuniversitydegreehelp.com" >http://Onlineuniversitydegreehelp.com</a> is a comprehensive resource to know importance of college. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

Furthermore, there are some colleges and universities that give academic credits to your previous achievements. <br /><br /> If you <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/have+been+awarded" rel="tag">have been awarded</a> for exemplary marketing performance in the past, check if the college of university offering the online marketing degree can give you extra points for these things. <content:encoded><![CDATA[With the increasing cost of college education, you surely would want to know the different possibilities wherein you can study and earn a degree without paying so much or without paying at all. Sounds familiar? <br /><br /> What about scholarship for college students? <br /><br /> Now that's more familiar. <br /><br /> But getting familiar with the phrase would not give you any result and would not even let you finish college for free. You still have to know the types of scholarship for college student so that you can choose which one is right for you. <br /><br /> You see, not all scholarships are created equal. Some have certain criteria and others have certain requirements. Each has its own sets of rules for qualification set by the sponsor. But for the basic knowledge about the different <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+scholarship" rel="tag">college scholarship</a>s offered, here are the things you should know: <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/academic+scholarship" rel="tag">Academic scholarship</a> for college students <br /><br /> This is probably the most famous type of college scholarship. Here, students are awarded with free education provided that they pass an entrance examination for scholarship or finished high school with honors or, passed whatever requirements the sponsor have set. Most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a> offer this type of scholarship. Academic scholars would have to maintain certain grade to keep their education free. <br /><br /> For private organizations that offer academic scholarship, rules on maintaining certain grade are less strict than colleges and universities. This though does not mean that private organizations are more <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lenient" rel="tag">lenient</a> to their scholars. This only means that colleges and universities can watch the status of their academic scholars closely since they have the access to the school records. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/athletic+scholarship" rel="tag">Athletic scholarship</a> for college students <br /><br /> Finishing college through athletic scholarship is another way to study for less or even for free. It is a given fact that many students dream of becoming an athlete on their school mainly because athletes are awarded with free education. The thing is: since it may be easier to play sports than to become excellent in academics, competition among students is fierce. <br /><br /> Meanwhile, there are private institutions that award athletic scholarships to students. And their system works the same as colleges and university grants. <br /><br /> Departmental scholarship for college students <br /><br /> Many college and university departments offer scholarships for two reasons: to attract more students to study in their department, and to maintain students who wish to move to another department. <br /><br /> These 3 are not the only scholarship grants that could bet. But basically, these 3 are given most of the time. <bio>This content is provided by Low Jeremy. It may be used only in its entirety with all links included. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ More and more universities and colleges are offering <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/distance+learning+degree" rel="tag">distance learning degree</a> education such as Bachelor degrees, Masters and even Doctorate PhD degrees to students who prefer to study from the comfort of their own homes rather than attending campus classes. <br /><br /> Even as the credibility of some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/distance+learning+degrees" rel="tag">distance learning degrees</a> are being questioned on their credibility, famous universities like <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/harvard+university" rel="tag">Harvard University</a> and Phoenix University are already hopping on the distance learning degree track. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/distance+learning+education" rel="tag">Distance learning education</a> offers students the opportunity to study and earn a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/degree+level+education" rel="tag">degree level education</a> at where the students are located. This will also mean that students living in another part of the world can also study and take examinations online without ever stepping foot into any college or university campuses. <br /><br /> All the distance learning student needs to do is to watch online lectures, access course material and take examinations through a learning management system and communicate with lecturers over the internet or on the telephone. <br /><br /> This method of obtaining a credible accredited university degree will auger well for the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/distance+learning+universities" rel="tag">distance learning universities</a>, colleges as well as the students since more students from around the globe can enroll in the courses offered by these institutions. This will also result in keeping the costs of running the degree courses much lower and making the university fees more affordable to potential students. <br /><br /> As with anything, there will always be the good the bad and the ugly. There will be so called universities offering fake degrees without even going through a course of studies. So it is vital to ensure that the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/distance+learning+college" rel="tag">distance learning college</a> or university you are enrolling in is appropriately accredited. This can be done by checking on the accreditation body that provides the accreditation and re-confirm it with education agencies. <br /><br /> By and large, most accredited distance learning colleges offer real and recognized degree programs. Most online education classes use the same course content, materials, instructors and even same examination questions as those students who attend the on campus programs. In other words, the online degrees are of the same quality as those of the on campus degrees. <br /><br /> Numerous researches and studies conducted on accredited universities and colleges has shown that the distance learning degree programs are effective and have consistent student's achievement. <br /><br /> The California State University at Northridge conducted study on students in online education programs and reported its findings as follows :- <br /><br /> a) Students online learning programs tested 20% better than their counterparts in a traditional classroom study environment. <br /><br /> b) Distance learning students tend to be more self-motivated, disciplined, and are higher achievers. <br /><br /> c) Distance learning students spend 50% more time collaborating with other online students than students in the on-campus environment. <br /><br /> d) There is no difference in distance learning education results versus in-class accomplishment. The research found that student's attitude and motivation being the determining factor of their results and the methods of delivery in the class do not matter at all. <br /><br /> So if you are uneasy about the credibility of distance learning colleges or universities degree program, these findings should put you more at ease. <bio>Chris Chew is a researcher. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Without a college degree, getting a good-paying job can be next to impossible in some parts of the country. For many desperate degree-seekers, there is a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hidden+danger" rel="tag">hidden danger</a> in finding a way to get that desired degree. Not only have the tuition costs for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/reputable+universities" rel="tag">reputable universities</a> skyrocketed, but the rise of online colleges and universities has made it even more difficult to discern <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/reputable+schools" rel="tag">reputable schools</a> from the one's that won't impress or get past the desk of any hiring managers. <br /><br /> The first question to ask yourself when investigating online colleges is "is it affiliated with any larger educational institution?". For example, a lot of traditional respected public and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/private+universities" rel="tag">private universities</a> have now added online components to the courses they have available to students. This type of online coursework is your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/best+bet" rel="tag">best bet</a> because it will allow you to get an honored degree, often with no differentiation from the type you would receive if you went to school as a traditional student. The downside to online colleges affiliated with major universities is that the cost can be rather high. However, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/traditional+universities" rel="tag">traditional universities</a> often have a great deal more money available for scholarships than other options and the degree you obtain will not just be another one of "those online degrees". <br /><br /> If you're less interested in obtaining a traditional associate's or bachelor's degree, there can be independent online schools that offer certifications and other programs geared toward a specific career goal. The most important thing to remember when investigating these types of schools is to check their accreditation. Make sure that the certifications they award to their students are the same certifications you will need to have for your future planned career. Taking time to do this before you even apply will save you time, money, and a lot of headache. The worst thing that could happen if you don't take this step is to realize near the end of your educational program that you're spending too much time and energy on something that isn't really going to do anything at all for your professional career. <br /><br /> Another way to find out about ways to get degrees or certifications that you may need for your planned career is to ask someone who's in the position now. Doing simple networking with people who have been in your shoes and gone on to reach your career goal is a great way to gain information on how you can do the same. As they say, hindsight is 20/20, and someone who has already jumped through the hoops of obtaining the education needed for your field will have that knowledge, even if you think you already know everything. Some of the ways you can get into contact with people in your chosen profession is to investigate professional groups, school alumni lists, and even contacting businesses that you would like to work for directly. <br /><br /> With all of this information, you can be better prepared to evaluate which schools and programs are worth your time and will have the greatest benefit to your future in the long run. <bio>Niccolo Svengali is the webmaster of <a href="http://www.arootyeducation.com" >http://www.arootyeducation.com</a> in Palermo, Sicily. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ With more courses being available online now by using your computer, colleges and some universities are enlisting in extra help. Certified teachers and instructors to be administrators of certain of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+college+courses" rel="tag">online college courses</a>. With this in effect, the teachers or instructors that are teaching online, do basically what a teacher would do in a classroom however it is usually via email or through <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/virtual+technology" rel="tag">virtual technology</a>. <br /><br /> The college <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/course+assignments" rel="tag">course assignments</a> are usually self explanatory but if there's a problem or a question that is where the teaching online comes into effect. Some times with web access to certain colleges a "student" taking an online course can live chat with the one who is there at the site teaching online. Sometimes there are several on one college website in order to assist all those taking whatever form of online college course. Teaching online, is one way of helping those who are attempting to further their knowledge, the only difference is the idea that they are not in a classroom teaching. It is on a computer instead. <br /><br /> There are universities actually offering <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+teaching+jobs" rel="tag">online teaching jobs</a> and all you really have to do if you are a teacher interested in doing something like teaching online, there are several web sites to check on, simply do a search and you will see there are many results concerning what you are after. <br /><br /> Furthermore, you are actually employed by these universities that are well known and accredited. Its not like you are simply <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/creating+a+web+site" rel="tag">creating a web site</a> and teaching online, you are trained and shown the different aspects of what to do as far as teaching online rather than in a classroom. <br /><br /> Multi tasking would probably be a plus in this situation too, considering you would probably have several emails each day. Teaching online, would entail a different type of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/teaching+management" rel="tag">teaching management</a> system like daily lessons and assignments being sent in to be checked over by those taking online college courses. <br /><br /> Most colleges will send those who are interested in teaching online information packs, either through their email address or through the US mail. Whichever you choose to have it sent. <br /><br /> It is something to think about, really. There are more people everyday starting to take online college courses and the need for teaching online is on the rise. There has to be a certain amount of those teaching online for those who are taking these online college courses to have instruction and help should they have questions about certain points in a lesson or an assignment they are doing. <br /><br /> Teaching online is as rewarding as if you were teaching in a classroom, and to know you are actually helping someone learn on the other end of a virtual connection is a pretty awesome feeling. <br /><br /> Computers have come a long way, online college courses and the use of teaching online so people have a better future. Teaching online doesn't have to be full time either. There are some that work occasionally while others work different days or hours, this depends on the college or university you go with and there are many of those online. <bio>Mario Churchill is a freelance author and has written over 200 articles on various subjects. <content:encoded><![CDATA[The proliferation of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+universities" rel="tag">online universities</a> has made obtaining a bachelor's or a master's degree easier than ever. What today's busy professionals don't have is a lot of extra time. The ability to access college courses 24 hour a day 7 days a week makes perfect sense for these people. Along with the ability to study <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/at+your+convenience" rel="tag">at your convenience</a> is the fact that you don't have to pay room and board expenses to attend the college of your choice. It is said that over 50% of all 2 and 4 year colleges in the United States now offer <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+graduate+degrees" rel="tag">online graduate degrees</a>. This means you have literally hundreds of colleges to choose from. With hundreds of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+colleges" rel="tag">online colleges</a> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/vying" rel="tag">vying</a> for your business you have some serious homework to do. <br /><br /> One of the first things you want to look into is whether the college you choose is properly accredited in the courses you are interested in. Those online colleges that are accredited usually state that they are. Some that aren't make you dig a little further to find out. Make sure that the online college meets with all necessary standards set by your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/state+accreditation" rel="tag">state accreditation</a> agency. Some colleges are more highly thought of in specific fields of education such as business or law. Talk with your human resources department and those at the top of your chosen career field to see if they have any suggestions as to your choice of college. <br /><br /> Check out what type of teaching technology each college employs. Most now use very advanced technology, offering video links of particular lectures. Some colleges give lectures via live internet links where all students can actively participate. Most online colleges now offer instant messaging, bulletin boards and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/chat+rooms" rel="tag">chat rooms</a> where students can communicate with each other about their classes. <br /><br /> Another important consideration when choosing an online colleges is the caliber of your professors. Some online colleges actually list the credentials of their professors online for your to see up front. Others don't offer this information easily. Also find out what type of support you can expect from your professor. The average for a professor to be online for student support is four times per week. Also find out how long it will take you to obtain your degree. Degree requirements vary from college to college. If you're looking for a way to earn your degree in the shortest period of time you'll want to make sure that a particular college can accommodate you. <bio>To learn more about Online Degrees please visit <a href="http://schoolguideusa.com/online-colleges.html" >http://schoolguideusa.com/online-colleges.html</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[With more than three thousand <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a> from which to choose, every student who takes the time to intelligently explore his or her educational options (and adheres to application and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/financial+aid+deadlines" rel="tag">financial aid deadlines</a>) should gain <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/admission" rel="tag">admission</a> to at least three or four institutions in which they are highly likely to be happy and successful. Students and parents will therefore not find the college application process an anxiety provoking experience if they understand there is no single "right" college, if they maintain reasonable expectations, do a little planning, and take full advantage of the many informational resources available to them. <br /><br /> It is important to realize that only about five percent of the colleges and universities in the United States deny admission to more than fifty percent of their applicants. Therefore, unless you plan to apply to those highly selective institutions, the odds of your gaining admission to the colleges to which you do apply are probably very strongly in your favor. And, if your grades and SAT or ACT scores are high enough so that applying to the most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/selective+colleges" rel="tag">selective colleges</a> is a reasonable and realistic option for you, you can almost be assured of admission to any number of excellent but slightly less competitive institutions. <br /><br /> The extent to which a college can afford to be selective is a function of its perceived quality and/or popularity. Thus, while it is true that the colleges and universities with the highest <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/academic+profiles" rel="tag">academic profiles</a> tend to be the most selective, many fine institutions do not enjoy the luxury of receiving applications from a significantly greater number of students than they are able to admit, and are therefore only moderately or even minimally selective. <br /><br /> Keeping in mind what we have just discussed, you are now ready to begin your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+search" rel="tag">college search</a>. <br /><br /> Your first and most important step to identify at least a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/half+dozen" rel="tag">half dozen</a> institutions which offer the academic programs and co-curricular activities of interest to you, provide a campus environment in which you will feel comfortable, and are likely to offer you admission. Begin by meeting with your school counselor to: <br /><br /> 1.solicit his or her college recommendations. 2.discuss the courses you plan to take in future years. 3.sign up for the SAT and ACT. 4.learn which college representatives will be visiting your school. 5.find out about upcoming college fairs in your area. <br /><br /> Don't forget that the web is a great source of information. Do a few searches for terms like colleges", "college scholarships", "financial aid" and "college admissions" to identify some good online resources. <br /><br /> After completing the above steps, you're off to a good start. Enjoy your search! <bio>About the Author: Dan Rosenfield is a university dean who has created college admission, scholarship, online degree and distance education websites which include <a href="http://www.college-scholarships.com">http://www.college-scholarships.com</a>, <a href="http://www.online-degrees-and-scholarships.com">http://www.online-degrees-and-scholarships.com</a>, and <a href="http://www.guaranteed-scholarships.com">http://www.guaranteed-scholarships.com</a> as a hobby. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ "I don't think I'll go to college." How many times have we heard that line in TV shows and movies? Countless. But if parents can afford sending their students to colleges or universities, they do. Statistics show that those who pursue further studies after high school are more successful in the real world. <br /><br /> Most companies hire potential employees who have <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+diplomas" rel="tag">college diplomas</a>. If they come from <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ivy+league+universities" rel="tag">Ivy League universities</a>, the better. They know there are some applicants who may not have the same education as those of the Harvard and Princeton graduates yet possess street skills. They are also hired, as long as they have certificates from colleges or an associate degree. <br /><br /> That is the exact reason why people are finding ways to afford colleges. Parents are already saving up while their children are still young. They apply for trust funds and education plans. <br /><br /> Unfortunately, some parents can't afford colleges. There are those who aspire to step into a college or a university, thus they make it happen themselves. They are <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/working+students" rel="tag">working students</a>. <br /><br /> There are also men and women in their mid 30s or 40s attending night classes to get a diploma or certificate. They know that this piece of paper is crucial in the professional world. It will give them an edge when they apply for a certain positon in a big company. <br /><br /> There is a demand for higher education. Whether it be from a private college, public university, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/vocational+institution" rel="tag">vocational institution</a> or community college, as long as the student has the papers showing that he pursued further studies, a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/business+establishment" rel="tag">business establishment</a> is more interested with his potential. <br /><br /> "Why do I need a college degree?" This is the question most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/high+school+students" rel="tag">high school students</a> ask. This question is often answered by the fact that men and women who went to college or obtained an education similar to it (associate degrees, night school, online degree, college or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/state+campuses" rel="tag">state campuses</a>) earn more money than a high school graduate. <br /><br /> Imagine this. One year of college already empowers the individual to cash in more money each year than a person who completed all four years of high school. <br /><br /> So if you are thinking of pursuing a career, you must already save up for the future. Colleges take up a whole lot of preparation. If you have parents who can cash you on with this plan then you are lucky. <br /><br /> If not but you are determined, start handing out your resume to part time opportunities now. It's an investment worth taking for a better future. <bio>Are you considering a college degree? Are you on a college search? <content:encoded><![CDATA[ If you are interested in teaching classes online there are several web sites you can go too and find out more information on the subject. Teaching classes online are available through some <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">colleges and universities</a> as well. One thing about teaching classes online, you are more of a mentor than anything for the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/simple+fact" rel="tag">simple fact</a> you are on the site, where only the students enrolled into the course or class have access through, if they have questions then as the mentor or teacher teaching classes online, you can help answer the questions or help come up with a solution. <br /><br /> E learning or going through online classes and courses is becoming more popular as more people want to further their education. However with this in mind the idea of those teaching classes online has to increase as well, and as of right now it seems to be at a slower pace than that of those who are enrolling. <br /><br /> Teaching classes online is rewarding, you might not have a literal classroom but you do have students that rely on you either by the assignments they send to you or your teaching classes online skills. <br /><br /> People of all ages are learning <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/different+things" rel="tag">different things</a> on the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/internet+today" rel="tag">Internet today</a>. Teaching classes online is becoming increasingly more important as more <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/universities+and+colleges" rel="tag">universities and colleges</a> offer incentives for teachers who are interested in teaching classes online. They need the help, keeping up isn't easy if there aren't enough teachers to be teaching classes online. <br /><br /> Some colleges only offer certain classes at certain times of the year due to the lack of those teaching classes online, there just doesn't seem to be enough to meet the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/high+volume" rel="tag">high volume</a> of classes online today. But the number is rising to the challenge, and teaching classes online is an adventure. Especially to new teachers starting out. <br /><br /> However, more teachers and instructors are stepping up and taking on teaching classes online, people need to realize this is a new concept for them as well. Checking assignments via email or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/answering+questions" rel="tag">answering questions</a>, it is something to learn themselves teaching classes online. <br /><br /> Teaching classes online is a growing trade among college and university teachers as well as learning the teaching classes online as well. It is a lot easier to do if you have some idea about everything that goes on with the Internet, such as works, processor and other things teaching classes online might make as an easier task. <br /><br /> Teaching classes online is fun for most teachers, because in a big way they have their freedom as well, its not like having to be in the same room constantly, they check their emails and are in the website forums to answer questions, and teaching classes online is getting to be something more teachers actually want to do, rather than be in college classrooms. <br /><br /> So, the ultimate decision is doing a search if you are interested in teaching classes online and find out more about how you can. There are several search results that will come up providing information from colleges offering teaching classes online jobs. <bio>Mario Churchill is a freelance author and has written over 200 articles on various subjects. <content:encoded><![CDATA[College degrees have long been available by correspondence but with the growth of the internet, students can now pursue <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/college+degrees+online" rel="tag">college degrees online</a>. There are hundreds of schools offering online programs for everything from Masters Degrees in Business Administration to advanced degrees in the fine arts. Because of the large number of schools offering online programs, it can be difficult to know what to look for in a quality program. <br /><br /> There are two basic types of institutions offering online degrees: <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/colleges+and+universities" rel="tag">Colleges and universities</a> with physical campuses and online-only institutions. Online-only institutions do offer single courses, but tend to focus on degree programs. Colleges and universities with physical campuses offer both complete degree programs and single courses, which are often taken by on-campus students as well as online-only students. <br /><br /> Many of the same questions students <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ask" rel="tag">ask</a> when investigating regular colleges also apply to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+degree+programs" rel="tag">online degree programs</a>. For example, a prospective student might ask how many courses are taught by graduate assistants rather than professors. In assessing an online degree, it is equally as important to determine how many of the courses are taught by full professors and how much experience those professors have with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/teaching+online" rel="tag">teaching online</a> courses. <br /><br /> However, there are questions that are specific to online degree programs. One of the most important, particularly for graduate-level degrees, is how much <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/contact" rel="tag">contact</a> you will have with other students. There are two basic types of online degree programs, those where you work at your own pace and those where you are admitted with a cohort, or group of peers, and proceed through the degree program with them. One is not necessarily better than the other. The learning style of the individual student will determine which type of program fits their needs best. <br /><br /> Accreditation is also an important thing to look for. All colleges and universities are required to be accredited by a regional governing body in order for the degrees they issue to be considered valid. If an online degree program doesn't give accreditation information, prospective students should move on to the next program. <br /><br /> After determining the credentials and structure of an online degree program, prospective students should research the details. How can books be purchased? What equipment, software and hardware is required to access the courses? How much time should a student expect to spend per course? Is financial aid available? Typically these questions are addressed on the degree program's website.
